Ashley Store Vernon Hills, IL

I had a great experience shopping at the Ashley store in Vernon Hills. The sales staff was helpful in guiding my choices, keeping both my wish list and budget in mind. The manager was super accommodating when I had to make a change to my order. Thank you Alex, Tammy, and Lori. You took the stress out of my furniture and mattress buying!

Sales Support in the store was great. The wheels fell off after the sale. We got home and realized the 5 pieces we bought would not fit. It was impossible to call within the store, but instead call was answered in an other country who could not modify the order. They instead canceled the order. When I tried to reorder the next day over the phone, they couldn't match the price quoted online. In desperation, I called a third phone number, a complaint line, who was able to straighten things out. After waiting 3 weeks for delivery, the day before delivery. I'm informed 2 items were on backorder. The truck shows up with 3 of the 5 pieces ordered. I was told to refuse one of the chairs, so the could deliver 3 pieces from the same lot to ensure no color differences. Now I have to wait 2 MORE weeks for delivery. I received no less than 3 calls from various Ashley offices asking all kinds of questions, all three not sure what was going on. It's been almost a month and I still don't have three chairs that I already paid for. You can't make this crap up. Good furniture, horrible customer service. Buyer beware.

The delivery People were fast, quick and courteous. The furniture is beautiful. My wife and I are really happy.

We placed an order in store at the Vernon Hills location back in November. We had delivery scheduled for 1/16, the day prior they called me and told me the mattress we ordered would not be available for over a week. Long story short, they got us the mattress. Fast forward to delivery day, it went smoothly but then while putting together our furniture set, they broke the mirror that goes to the dresser. They tried to convince us to keep it, which I declined and sent back with them requesting a refund. We have attempted to call six times requesting the refund, they have not processed it almost a month later. They kept calling trying to reschedule the delivering the mirror. To this day, no refund, no responses. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone to resolve this issue. You call their mainline, it goes to an automated system which then just hangs up on you. I will have to go to the store in person for any sort of resolution at this point. Will never shop at Ashley again.

The staff at the Vernon Hills store are very friendly and helpful. They have a large variety of furniture, so there should be no problem finding something you like. I was able to order a recliner and they delivered within 5 days. The delivery team came within the 3 hour window I was given, and set up was easy. Definitely a positive experience all around.

Kevin is kind and I felt he takes care of my order though it is not expensive furniture. He kept checking delivery schedule if I could get it in time. Thanks Kevin! He is such a good emplyee! But I didn't like the limited delivery time😟

The fabric on the bottom of the chair is ripped. Not sure if it was packaged that way or done when the packaging was taken off during delivery.

I went in there around 4:30 on a Tuesday. Zero customers, three people working. Not one offered to help me or even greeted me so I left.

Was looking for a sectional sofa....Haley was great! Professional but not too intrusive...made herself available for questions and provided me with information. Just started a search but I did keep her card.

Our salesperson Tammy was super. I was there with my 92-year-old mother, who wanted to buy a lift chair. Tammy quickly assessed the situation and told us all that we needed to know, and nothing that we didn't. When Mom had made her choice, the sale was easy. While our sales experience was super, I must say that the store itself was not very accessible. ALL the outside lights were off when we arrived at dusk, and at first we thought the store was closed. When we left, it was dark and the parking lot lights weren't on, so we had a lot of trouble helping Mom out of her wheelchair and into the car safely. Inside, the display furniture is so close together that it was hard to maneuver a wheelchair to where we needed to be, and hard to see any access. The staff was super about guiding us around ('go all the way back there, then turn and come back through here...'). But none of us should have to do that!

Lori was very helpful in helping me find the recliner that was right for me at a price that fit my budget. I was looking for a full recliners and lift chair. The one Lori recommended also has a massage and heat. The massage and heat will be great for my back. No more heating pad. I would highly recommend Ashley for your furniture needs or wants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Kudos to Lori.

I ordered a clock two months ago. They haven't fulfilled the order, I've contacted them to cancel and get a refund and they say they have cancelled it two weeks ago but still no refund. Don't shop here, they are thieves.

Kathy was fantastic. She was careful of my budget and not the least bit pushy. Then Lori helped me with my mattress. All in all a very good experience I highly recommend them.

Thank you to Tammy for her advice and patience. We were set on a different couch at a different store and she gave me such great tips and ideas to think about. She sold us a beautiful love seat and sofa which was delivered today. She went out of her way to make sure both pieces were delivered as soon as possible. Thank you, Tammy, I love our couches!

Great price great service

I knew exactly what I wanted and I was helped in and out of the store probably less than 20 minutes

We bought a sofa on the Monday right after Labor Day weekend, and the salesman, Kevin, promised delivery within three weeks. That was the reason we went ahead with the purchase. Now we’ve been told the delivery is set for October 25th almost two months later, more than double the promised time. Ashley Furniture needs to be honest with customers from the start, with no games or tricks just to close a sale. Very disappointing experience.

I initially came in a few weeks ago to find out what kind of couch would be suitable. Kevin was very professional and showed me all of the different reclining couches in the showroom. It took me a few weeks to get back and when my husband and I decided which one we wanted, I came in and Kevin was very helpful in getting me sales and discounts. He deserves a raise.

Do not buy anything from Ashley if you expect quality or customer service. We purchased a dresser and two nightstands for $1,600 for our new home. At the store, we were told that once delivered, items cannot be returned. I agreed, since I liked the style and had no plans to return them. When the furniture was delivered, the dresser arrived with three out of six shelves damaged. I took pictures, and even the delivery team noted the damage. Ashley told me there were no returns, but they could send replacement shelves. I agreed. The replacement shelves arrived — but two out of three were also damaged. Again, I documented everything with photos. At this point, I was frustrated. Instead of offering a proper replacement, I was told that “technicians can come do touch-ups.” To me, that’s unacceptable. If I’m paying $1,600 for new furniture, I should receive it in new condition, not patched-up pieces. Things only got worse with customer service: • My emails went unanswered for long periods. • I was given a phone number to “file a claim,” but it didn’t work — nobody ever answered. • When I asked for a manager’s contact information, my request was completely ignored. At this point, it’s not even about the furniture anymore — it’s about how little Ashley values their customers once they have your money. I tried to be patient and reasonable, but instead of solutions, I received silence, excuses, and the offer of “touch-ups” on brand-new items. Every time I look at this furniture, I’m reminded not of how nice it could have been, but of the stress and disappointment that came with it. I would strongly advise anyone considering Ashley to think twice — the lack of quality control and poor customer service are simply not worth it.

Was told by Kenny that furniture was in stock. They have changed delivery twice now. Almost a month from when the first time we were told it will be delivered. Have called several times and Kenny will not call us back.

We bought a couch and table from the Vernon hills Ashley furniture and had a good experience from the In store Ashley’s team! Especially the store manager, real good guy, helped us out and didn’t push us to purchase the product! I have no complaints with the store itself but the delivery was a different story. The first delivery, the crew set up the couch and didn’t care about my walls or floors as they hit them while they entered the house and dragged stuff across my white oak floors which are now damaged. They unwrapped everything outside and once they had everything inside, they put the couch together with there dirty hands, which left my white couch with hand prints all over the place. Asked 1 of the 3 guys if he had spray to clean it and he told me it isn’t his problem, contact the store to get the spray. He was more worried about his 15 stops he had left than fixing the issue he caused. I contacted customer service and went around and around. Eventually after a couple days of communicating with different people and sending pictures, they agreed to replace 1 piece out of the 4 which was completely damaged and had a cleaning guy come out for the other 3 pieces. ( cleaning technician was a good guy which cleaned 3 of the dirty pieces. I would say about 15 to 20 hand prints which he got all of them off ). After that, another crew came out with the piece to replace the damaged product and when they took it off the truck, the couch wasn’t even wrapped. The driver told us that’s how the warehouse gave it to them that morning. White couch was basically 2/3s charcoal color. The 2nd crew ended up taking that piece back with them and eventually we received the correct piece from a third delivery service! Crew was very respectful and friendly! After this experience, I will never use the shipping service through Ashley’s again. It was a just a pain and a hassle for what it costed! Haven’t been back since unfortunately! Very irritated and annoyed about this experience! The store should get 5 stars and the delivery 1 so I just put it in the middle.

Arrived 15 mins before scheduled time. Were in and out, super efficient and quick.

We bought furniture from Ashley before and service and delivery was great! Today we were getting a dresser and mirror. We saw the truck drive by and unload at a different house. We were standing outside waving but they didn't turn around. By the time we walked to the other house and told the drivers, they seemed confused. Glad we were home or we wouldn't have our furniture.

I had a terrible experience with Ashley Furniture’s delivery service. During delivery, the team damaged multiple walls in my home, but instead of accepting responsibility, the store refused to help and pushed me to deal with a third-party delivery company directly. This felt like a complete deflection of accountability. I purchased from Ashley, not a subcontractor, and expected them to stand behind their service. The lack of follow-through, customer care, and resolution was incredibly frustrating. I would strongly caution others before buying from this store—especially if you care about how your furniture is delivered and how issues are handled.

One star. Sold me a couch, not a custom couch on Memorial Day weekend. Was told it would be delivered by mid June. Record a text informing me that some pieces were back ordered. No biggie. Delayed until 7/5. 3 days before the delivery, and after I receive a confirmation test that I’d get my delivery window 1 day prior to 7/5, I receive a call saying that it’s still back ordered and now I won’t get the couch until the end of July. Unacceptable. Now I’m in my new house, with no couch for 2 months, but Ashley took payment just fine. Beware of delivery dates provided in store!!!!

I spent 2 hours in the store, we bought 2 mattresses and 2 end tables, I asked Tammy (sales person) what price she could give us on the end tables as they were expensive she looked online and gave us a price which was half the cost online of what they were, they are double the price in the store!! Buyer beware to check online BEFORE you buy in the store VERY MISLEADING!! I told her on the delivery date it had to be after 3 PM. She said okay and put it in my order. Of course, when they texted two days prior, it was in the morning. I called to say no it’s supposed to be in the afternoon after 3pm they told me I could not have an afternoon time. I went round & round until I got an escalation team member to help me. I get the timeframe for delivery, but don’t ask me if I want morning or afternoon and then don’t give me afternoon . Aggravating to say the least, pretty sure I won’t be buying anything else from Ashley furniture in Vernon Hills!! I’m sure they work on commission and she was just trying to make a sale.! Very disappointing!

Our Sales guy got my address wrong after I corrected him and supposedly he fixed it. Now I cannot get a hold of anyone after several attempts at the store. The regional customer services cannot help us with the address change and told us we have to talk to someone at the store we bought it from. Again no one is picking up. We don’t live close but will now have to make another trip out to correct it and hopefully it will be right this time.

Delivery was very good but one of the items was broken

This has been the worse Service I've experienced. Multiple call, emails, and Store visits and my issue still resolved. I email the Region Manager 4 days ago and still no reply. I reached out to Customer Service again yesterday and still no reply. Very sad service.

Not very happy with the sales person nor the manager (Kenny). I did not know whether my old Ashley account was still valid so the sales person was going to check on this; or so I thought. She ended up opening another Ashley credit account even though my other account was still valid (found this out later). This caused and unnecessary hard credit hit. After I found this out, I spoke to the manager who related that that should not have happened and offered me an additional amount off the price. A few weeks later and no change. When I call, I get the story that he's in a meeting. Good thing I really enjoy the product. I could do without the human element. Makes me wonder if they get a commission for every new credit account opened.

I went to the Gurnee location, the doors wide open, employees everywhere, but the store was closed. So I went to the Vernon hills location, I called first to confirm they had recliners in stock. When I got there, they didn't have any in stock. They were very rude, and not helpful whatsoever. I called schaumburg, they didn't have any in stock. I would never, ever go back to an Ashley furniture store, ever. It was a terrible experience all around.

Service was good. Unfortunately didn’t have what we wanted on display so didn’t get to see it in person and the wait time is a bit more than we hoped but overall good experience.

Great Service, friendly associates. MINUS ONE STAR- when online all products you carry have names, when at store NONE of the display tags list the name! Why is that. If I see an item I like “altari” and go to store I can’t find it, that’s RIDICULOUS. Why is there no names on display tags?!?!?!Also the listed price is the price per month & the REAL price is in small print, WHY?!?!?! NOT NORMAL RETAILER PRACTICES!!!

Your system apparently was down so I was unable to process my credit card payment and unable to purchase the furniture, very frustrating. I spent quite a bit of time trying to make this happen with Stephanie your customer service person, she was very capable it was just the system that wasn't working apparently.

Bobby was a salesperson for us in buying two accent chairs. He is an outstanding person who went out of his way to help us in finalizing our selection. He spent significant amount of time and effort in contacting and following up to locate a specific chair that we wanted to buy. He was very patient in staying with us as we were considering several options. His offer really met our requirements of functionality and budget. It is a pleasure for us to do business with Ashley because of people like Bobby.

The service we received from both Ming & Craig was outstanding. They were not overbearing or pushy whatsoever. Customer service, the way it should be.

We were greeted right away by Alana. She was new and very personable, not pushy. If she could not answer some questions , she got the answer. The only thing we did not like was we did not have a phone number to talk to someone at the store once we received confirmation of the delivery and it looked like something was missing.

They have a really nice selection of furniture. It was my first time and I did purchase. The only thing I would comment about it on the negative side is that it felt a little like a used car dealership in terms of going back-and-forth to the manager to get approval

It would have been 5 stars had not been for the 1st sales associate dismissive attitude and total lack of attention to me. But the 2nd sales associate was friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Me and my husband loved the choices shown and are extremely happy with our final sales choice.

Check out took more than 20 minutes for one item. For the chair that I bought, it was not wrapped in plastic for protection.

If there were a lower rating, I would have given it, but the lowest is one star… Do not make the mistake of shopping here under any circumstances! I recently got married and made the mistake of purchasing a sofa set and dining table from here. I’ve been waiting for two months for the sofa set to arrive. The items do arrive, but they are always delivered damaged, so we return them, and they tell us that the new sofa set will arrive next week. I made the mistake of purchasing products from here. Please, don’t make the same mistake!

I wish there was a zero star and I would have given them . Few days back we went to confirm our order of couch , but after seeing the rudest behaviour of the manager , who was an African American , we stepped back . In fact , the manager behavior was not at all professional, he didn’t know any thing about customer service , or how to talk to customers. In fact , first we doubted him as , a manger because of his attitude .we really regret of going to that store and that was the first and last time we visited that store. There are many good stores and places for furniture . Stay away from such place where no one is there to help or provide assistance . Don’t waste your money and time too .

The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful (they graciously stayed past the time they should have gone home to help complete our sale before the holiday week) and found us the perfect sectional for our apartment. Bought a couch from here and it was a great experience. The manager Kevin was really informative. Milena Bogicevic was the sales staff who helped me and she was one of the best salesman I've ever interacted with! She is super nice/helpful, and made sure I got the exact couch I wanted!

I found a bedroom dressers and nightstands on-line. Then I received a flyer offering 25% off - but there was no code. So I opened a chat - "The deal is only good in stores. Prices are higher in store". My product isn't at one of the stores. "The store can order it for you." SO- you want me to drive to a store that does not stock my item, have an employee place the order for me so you can justify your higher pricing in the store, then give me the 25% discount which is not longer a 25% discount? You just lost my business...and hopefully a lot more from this review. See chat snippets attached.

Poor quality furniture. Looking for bedroom set. Some handles on the dresser were loose. And some drawers looked like they were made from plywood. Not durable furniture.

I've purchased many items from Ashley Furniture over the past 18 years - both living and bedroom, and have never been disappointed with either the products or the service and this instance was a great example of the same. Store appear small, but it's big inside.. lots of options but I did find it's less than Bob's furniture which we just visited.

Max was very helpful and knowledgeable about the furniture. Although they did not have the sofa I was interested in at the store he was very helpful in explaining everything about it.

We were able to look around by ourselves which we appreciated. The leather sofa set we liked was not priced. We saw the price online. Then, we spoke with a sales person who informed us we could get the sofa 25% off and the love seat 20% off. The final price was much higher than expected. We looked at the prices and told the sales person that she started at a higher price. The sales person said the online price is different than the starting store price since the retail store is a franchise. Then, why should I bother looking online? We were disappointed and ended up choosing another sofa set. We almost left the store due to this situation.

Very, very bad experience with Ashley store.we bought a dinner table and 6 chairs. The legs of 4 chairs 1 leg is almost an inch shorter than the rest . We requested a new set and they want us to pay for. We are very upset with this store. We want a new set. the manager requested so many pictures and information for nothing. This business is TERRIBLE! I ordered a leather sofa bed, chair & ottoman in early March. My delivery date was changed twice, which meant I had to change my schedule & also the Got Junk pick up. The third time I canceled my order, actually going out of my way to the Vernon Hills store. I did it in person because @ this point I certainly didn’t trust them. Almost 6 months later & I am still receiving texts & email to call & schedule my delivery… Do NOT give Ashley your patronage!

Terrible experience with Ashley Furniture! I ordered a specific couch, but when it was delivered, it was the wrong color. I immediately contacted customer service, hoping they'd fix the mistake quickly. Boy, was I wrong! Their customer service was a nightmare. Unresponsive, unhelpful, and seemed completely uninterested in solving the problem. I have spend over 10 hours on the phone with them calling about every other day to try to get this corrected before we moved out of town. I was promised someone would call me back but never did. I kept trying to get them to exchange the wrong couch for the right one, but they dragged their feet. To make matters worse, I had to move to Connecticut before they managed to sort out their mistake. Now I'm stuck with the wrong couch, which is ugly color. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere. Ashley Furniture clearly doesn't care about their customers or getting orders right. I'm out both time and money, and all I have to show for it is a ugly couch I never wanted. Absolutely disappointing and frustrating experience from start to finish. After a month of run around and several people telling me I couldn’t talk to a manager, I decided to take the couch back to the store. When I arrive, the store manager came out to greet me. She had no idea what we had gone through and started issues the return and a pickup for a few days later. Happy ending but too much wasted time and energy on everyone part. I made about 13 calls over 3.5 weeks which took 20 min to 2hrs each.

Ashley’s has great furniture for an ok price but the buying process is painful. I just bought from Ashley’s my second time. The sales associate hounds you and follows you around, and both times I bought from in store they act like I’m getting a great discount until I check Ashley’s online price. The floor salesmen don’t even tell or match the online price unless you bring it up, and the most recent floor saleswomen made some rude implications as well. I would say don’t even bother buying in person except then you can’t choose picking up the furniture yourself and save $$. Have had my dining table and chairs for 9 months and no complaints though, so a solid 3/5 overall experience.

We had bought living room furniture from Ashley 12 years ago. We had such good luck with this furniture we decided to return to Ashley! Riley is an excellent representative of Ashley. We had chosen recliners prior to speaking with Riley. He was able to help us through our purchase and even suggestions for getting rid of our old pieces of furniture that we no longer needed. A great, no- pressure place to buy furniture!

Terrible customer service. I took my mother in law last week Tuesday (12/19) as she was in search of a specific dresser style and color, and we were racially profiled by the Hispanic dude in the white coat and the old white guy. I never asked anyone for help, I hate being followed around the store by the salespeople at these places but the white guy asked what I was looking for and I told him and he told me that the dressers are scattered all around the store, then proceeds to stare at me as if I’m an idiot. And I’ve been to Ashley many times before, not this location but the one in Morton Grove which is way better and has a bigger selection, so I know everything is scattered. Plus he’s the one who came to me trying to help. So then I’m like “yeah I know we’re just looking around” and he’s like “yeah they’re scattered but we do have the clearance in the back if you want something cheaper…hold on”, and then tells the Mexican dude in the white coat to help us. And the Mexican guy asks us in Spanish what we needed help with, but he couldn’t even look us in the eye. What was the point of asking the other guy to help us when I speak perfectly good English and already spoke to the white guy? Then my mother in law is going around taking pictures of furniture she likes for her house but she wants her husband’s second opinion on it, and we ask for a price on one dresser. The Mexican guy walks up to the tag really sassy with his hands behind his back, says like $1200, and walks away. Then we go to the front of the store and we are looking around there since when you walk into a store you tend to start at the back, again the Mexican guy comes to us and says “any questions?” in Spanish and my MIL is explaining that we might need to measure her current dresser and the area and all this, and the guy isn’t even listening to her, he has this smirk on his face like “they can’t afford anything”. And I’m staring at him like 🤨. Thinking to myself “He’s probably just doing this so we buy something to prove we can afford something” but none of the furniture there was cute and I swear the one in Morton grove has way better options and the staff is super friendly. So I ask him in English for the tv stands, since I’m on the hunt for one, and he tells me they’re all around the store but they have one in the front he can show me. I’m like no thanks. I tell my MIL let’s go. And we leave, I couldn’t stand being in there and the white guy kept looking over at the Mexican dude and rolling his eyes all angry. Ridiculous. Treat your customers better.

This is the worst store. the sofa has not been delivered to me since November 27 and no one has called me. I call for 4 weeks and nothing . Today I have no money and no sofa. see you in court soon 😊

Order online, my table was $150 more dollars in store than online. They are also not very accommodating and pushy salesmen. Bad vibe in this store. Do your self a favor and don’t come here.

Had to order all new cushions for a couch bought in 2021. The couch was poorly made and truly if I knew it wouldn't last past a couple of years would have never bought it. The sales people at Ashley were very nice, but took awhile to finally order new fabric for cushions. The good news is I did not have to pay a to replace the fabric but Ashley should stand behind their products. I took out a warranty which was not helpful since it doesnt cover quality of a piece .

The delivery date was also important to us and he reassured us and built our trust straight away as we had just been let down by another future shop in Vernon hills who failed to deliver furniture we had ordered 2 weeks ago. This was a nightmare for us. The manager at Ashley’s Taj was so helpful, polite and professional to he also built our trust. We were able to buy all our furniture here and will definitely use this shop again. I also really liked the 3 tier price points as to suit everyone’s financial situation. Delivery driver showed up 1 hour before delivery window. Wife confirmed what was being delivered with driver and he confirmed he had the correct order. He then unloaded everything. We got the wrong furniture delivered the day before our big gathering for Thanksgiving day. Will never shop Ashley and will turn family/friends/colleagues away from Ashley UNLESS THEY RECTIFY THIS IN A MASSIVE WAY

My experience with sales associate, was terrible, he did not follow thru promises made, the delivery date was pushed back a week, which caused me lost time, he couldn't have taken his time while placing a $3K order, there commnication is terrible, thankfully getting the Manager involved helped.

Bought reclining loveseats in 2021 with extended warranty. This year, a component failed and needed service. Called Ashley, they sent the parts and told me to contact them when I have parts. Called back and was told to call the 3rd party extended service group - GBS. Called GBS - they couldn’t locate my information stating that they have No Records from Ashley. Called Ashley - they blamed their partner GBS of deleting customer info if no claim is filed in 2 years. (It is as absurd as it sounds). To resolve, all Ashley could do was send me the invoice so I can take care of the paperwork that they were supposed to do for me (paying customer) to whom they sold the extended warranty on the furniture they sold. Want the run around - go to Ashley Furniture.

Sadly, no one else in the store even bothered to look up from their cell phones. And yes, they all worked there. Someone way up the chain pay attention!!!! You know the furniture business is VERY competitive right now. Make this young and engaging shining star the store manager or give him a big position and large raise. Here’s to giving credit where credit is due. You never know who is going to walk through your store. Wake up people. Get your face out of your phones. At least have the common courtesy to do so when your customers walk through the door. Carlos, I thank you again. You can teach everyone that you worked with today a thing or two.

On 08/06/23, we walk into this store interested in purchasing a bedroom set, living room set, and dinning room set. My wife chose all of the furniture mentioned above. When it was time for me to pay, I had a few questions on the mattress brand and the promotion. I had asked if they carried "Bed Gear mattress". The sales consultant, Tammy, responded that Bed Gear did not make mattresses. I informed her that they did because we had seen them in another furniture store. She responded rudely, and asked why we would want a matress from a brand that is not known to make mattresses. I instantly believed that there was a lack of knowledge. My wife chose a luxury Ashley's matress. It had a promotion with purchase of a Bed Gear set. Tammy attempted to sell me a for purchase mattress cover explaining it was the best. Although, the matress promotion had a with purchase free matress cover set. After questioning the promotion, her asking coworkers, and supervisor. They gave us the Bed Gear Set. Unfortunately, we did not check the size of the matress cover and we left home with a queen instead of a king size. My wife went to the store and explained that situation on 08/15/23, a male individual told my wife there weren't any king size and they would need to order more. They stated that they would call. They took the queen but didn't give my wife anything to show for the return. We have yet to receive a call. I've reached out numerous times, my wife has reached out. All to get to the same thing conclusion. We purchased eight thousand worth of furniture and the experience and customer service has not been satisfactory. We would not recommend this location.

Salesman told us shipping is included and at the end there was a charge. He also told us we would get $800 off our order, then he changed it to $600. In the end there was nothing taken off. We ended up not buying the furniture we wanted. He did not seem to know what was going on, very bad service.

My experience at this store was amazing! From the minute I walked in to the second I walked out I felt very happy and confident with my purchase. Taj helped us throughout the process and helped us pick pieces of furniture that fit our needs. If you need anything at this store do not hesitate to contact Taj he will take care of you like you’re his own family. Really great customer service and an even better person.

Overall experience was good. Was able to spend some time in the store to find the couch that was best for us and the family/dogs. one thing to mention is the salesman did seem to get a little frustrated with us when we had asked if they could match the price to what we saw online. there was a $300 difference between in store and online, and in this economy every little bit we can save helps, you know? he also got a little frustrated when I messed up the CC machine when I was leaving an initial down payment... it had been a long day for me and I did not hear him when he said "green button first, then insert card." not the end of the world (in my mind), but other than that we were happy with the discounts given and financing options. hopefully the couch will be just as nice in person as it will be in store.

I don’t care to write reviews because I feel that everyone has their days but this one I had to write about. This is a long review. I gave the store a one star only because of Carlos. And because I haven’t gotten my items yet. Hearing the reviews I’m thinking I might cancel before my furniture arrives. Not sure if I want to take the chances of being wrongly mistreated. Be careful going to the Ashley store in Vernon Hills. I was wrongly mistreated. I was trying to take catch their Bogo deal before it ended. The day the deal was suppose to be over I had errands. I checked their hours, online..said they were open til midnight, umm ok we know that’s not trues. So I made sure I got there before 9pm. Arrived at the store at 8:30pm, stores hours posted were closing at 9pm. But the doors were locked. Locked 1/2hr before closing. The employee in the store, was closing a sale. The customer he was with showed him that we were at the door. He saw myself at the door, as I held up the flyer for bogo asking to come in to make a purchase. He looked up, shook his head in dismay and continued on helping his customer. Did he open the door … nope. Did he at least say I’m sorry come back tomorrow I closed early… nope. Did he give some kind of respect that people should get if closing a store early … NOPE! Just plane disrespect. I stayed til he finished his sale.. was hoping he would acknowledge or something. NOPE!! he kept his head down as if I didn’t exist. Such disrespect especially since I wanted to purchase a few items. You might think… what nationality are you. That doesn’t matter. Treat customers with respect!! I came back the next day… complained and found out the employee who treated me with such disrespect was the store manager. THE STORE MANAGER who goes by the name Taj. I was second guessing giving Ashley my money. Why would I want to give my hard earned money to a company who disrespects you and acts as if you don’t exist. But a pleasant manager of the company named Carlos helped me out. He was very helpful. Heard and listened to my concerns. He wanted to make sure I would be happy with my purchase if I decided to purchase from them. Because I told them I am second guessing giving Ashley my money. I did end up purchasing a few pieces. Taj does not deserve to be the store manager. My money is just as good as the money that he was closing. Just as good or even better. Without him knowing he treated me with disrespect. Even if you were treated with respect by Taj, knowing that he has the capability to treat others with such disrespect he should not get commission off of you, or have anyone else service. Thank Carlos for all your help. Carlos is the guy to ask for. He was very helpful in so many ways. Taj, you are a sad excuse of a store manager. I don’t know how you got to that level with showing such lack of experience, disrespect and rudeness. Sorry Ashley Furniture but you need to pick better Store Managers. Would I recommend the store to any one… I will have to see how my furniture is once delivered and only if I know for sure Carlos is still working. I would definitely purchase from Carlos. Tamara greeted us shortly after we arrived at the Vernon Hill store and began looking around for a replacement sofa. Her approach was gentle, warm, and inviting. She gave some information relating to what we were there for and left us to continue looking. Once we were deciding one 2 or 3 pieces she gave more descriptive information, enough that we were able to make an informed purchase

Id give it ZERO stars if I could. Do not buy a mattress from this store. The mattress we bought was a defected mattress. My father has Parkinson’s, and they won’t do anything to replace it until you jump through hurdles. From the beginning we had issues since purchase. Returning anything is a hassle .We have spent thousands with this store, and they take your money and don’t treat you right once they get your money. All we want is the $2500 mattress we bought replaced so my father with Parkinson’s can sleep better. The mattress sinks in. It’s defected and it’s literally a run around to try to get anything done. My parents are elderly and live 10 minutes away, and they won’t send anyone out to make sure the quality of mattress they told us was the one we got. No firm mattress should sink once you lay in it. If you have back issues or need proper sleep, Do not trust this store. My father has Parkinson’s, and now because of their “yarn test” procedure they won’t rectify this issue. This is so sad. They pride in comfort and quality, but once they take your money, good luck getting anything done. An automated system texts you with directions, and it’s a hassle to do anything . No one person will speak to us. GOOD LUCK

Poor poor poor! customer service ever received!! Right from the first moment we had the worst time with this store! 1. The person who was assisting us Joan Rodriguez who was probably the most rude sales person I have ever seen 2. Some of our order was "sold out" after we did make an order, and had no updates until we physically came to the store to enquire about those! This happened a month ago and still haven't got a refund for those! 3. The sales person put a queen ben which we asked for as just "Bed" so they sent us a King bed which was unfixed and sitting in out house for a week, we had to go to the store again like 3-4 times for them to come and take that and send us the right one, we had to go again to ask them to send it! 4. The book case was rescheduled like 4 times and came to us a month after instead of the promised 1 week! In total we visited the store like 10 times and still very unsatisfied , extremely poor customer service and the Sales person Joan Rodriguez had a big attitude right from the first second, he acted like he hated to talk and was just rudely answering whatever we asked for! Moreover just give us the refund we are done with you guys! The refund is for the items that wasn’t delivered to us!

Don't buy furniture there!!!!! Customer servise is horrible. We came there to get a new sofa for a living room. Carlos helped us with that. I was looking for modular sofa. He assured us that sofa we chose has metal brakets to hold pieces together. When we got our sofa it didn't have any brakets and plus all corners were dirty( sofa is white). Pillows and sides also dirty. Delivery people told us to call customer service and we have 72 hours to make a claim. We called store, manager Taj, didn't resolve any issues. He is apathetic. I don't know how they hire such incompetent people. Very disappointed!

Robert got me exactly what I wanted! I went in for a sleeper sofa, saying I had one picked out from off line but still wanted to see what they had on the floor. He coincidentally took me to the one I had picked out which looked better in person. He got me a great deal on it and I’m actually having it delivered this weekend! Didn’t pester me to buy anything extra just a really good sells-man and person! I was also in and out within about 45 mins. Thank you Robert!

Completely unprofessional staff. I bought a sectional couch, at first I didn't really want it because it would go apart. But Carlos assured me that it won't because it has special hinges. Also, he promised me that I would get it within a week, than 3 weeks, so I finally got it in a month. Every time I called him, he would promise to called me back, but never did. To my surprise, it doesn't have the hinges and it is all dirty. When I called Carlos he would ask his manager something all the time, so I asked to talk to the manager. The manager Taj called me back and told me that it is modular and that's why it doesn't have the hinges. On the phone he was apathetic, and wouldn't want to help me or offer any solution.

Purchased a bedroom set today July 9th Vernon Hills location. I am sending Carlos a special thank you for his professional suppor,t service, and assistance. At first it was a very pleasant experience with Tammy and the managers in the store, but it has since turned into a nightmare to deal with delivery and canceling items we no longer need. Our delivery made it last week but it was partial delivery only 3 of the 4 sectional pieces were delivered and desk was missing. We were told by the delivery guys to call in for status on those items. We did and only to be told their entire systems are down and they cannot access our order and were told only chance is to go back to the store physically and MAYBE they might have access. We did that and only 1 tablet in their store was actually working so we waited while they assisted another upset customer then were told we'd get a call from the corporate office on Tuesday and since then they still have not cancelled our item we don't want and still have not been able to schedule the missing items delivery. Unreal its been going on for 2 weeks... how can an entire point of sale system be down for so long... something ain't right with this organization. Wish I could find some help.

Great Experience

I had a nice experience at the Vernon Hills Store, but the delivery team and customer service for Ashley Furniture are less than satisfactory. Setting up the delivery was great. When my items were delivered, I noticed the tables were too big and I asked him to take it back the same day. However, the delivery driver told me that it was complicated to return the items today and he would have to make special phone calls that wouldn’t guarantee delivery that day, and the best and appropriate course of action is to hold onto it for <72 hours, call Ashley Furniture, and they will come back and pick it up. I asked him again before he left if he could take it back with him, but he repeated the same thing. A few hours after the delivery I called Customer Service as requested to set up a pick up time. But, the customer service agent, Simone, told me that once the items are delivered, they cannot take it back. I told her that I wanted them to take it when it was delivered, but the driver was the one who would not take it back. I wanted to talk to the supervisor about this, but he/she was busy and I was supposed to get a call back- I still haven’t gotten a call back. I have since called back multiple times to speak to someone about this and spoke to 4 people all saying that because I accepted the delivery and didn’t return it on the same day, then they cannot come back, and a supervisor has still not reached out. And the cherry on top- I was texting with the ChatBox person, who told me that I signed a waiver at the time of delivery showing I understood the delivery policy. But, I was never given any paperwork to sign when my furniture was delivered- this is completely fraudulent and it’s likely the delivery driver forged my signature. This is not acceptable and I hate to even resort to a Google review to be heard by someone at the company, but I am not in the wrong on this because I was following orders from a representative of your company who refused to take my items on the delivery date. I just want someone to take back the tables as I had requested at the time of delivery.

Update… 7/10/23 So POS system was down and ASHLEY failed , once you are out of the sales persons sight they no longer care about that sale . I called several times and was not able to get anyone … when I finally spoke to Robert he was crass and uninterested because I wanted to cancel my order , it took me two weeks to cancel the order in order to free up the money on the cc . The cvs folks say they request the cancellation it’s up to the store to cancel when they finally canceled the order I found out that the wrong color was ordered initially anyway. Wow Wow , had a great experience at Ashley in Vernon Hills. In search of a new sofa sectional Had not planned to purchase but the service was so good, we decided to order so we’d have out choices in time for the move . They honored the tax in the state where delivery is taking place . Robert was an awesome conversation and had answers -all of our questions . Couldn’t be more pleased .

Buyer Beware: This location does not allow you to return even if you find damage immediately!!! We moved from Europe to Illinois. I needed furniture. We went to Ashley’s and they said it would be two weeks on Jan 21st. I just received my tv stand on 14th of March. The delivery was damaged I reported it immediately but they gave me the run around. I went to the store by this time, I was done! They do not allow you to do returns at the Vernon Hills store! They are scheduled to fix my furniture April 18th I will not be shopping there again! I did on the other hand have a great experience at Bobs!
