If there were a lower rating, I would have given it, but the lowest is one star… Do not make the mistake of shopping here under any circumstances! I recently got married and made the mistake of purchasing a sofa set and dining table from here. I’ve been waiting for two months for the sofa set to arrive. The items do arrive, but they are always delivered damaged, so we return them, and they tell us that the new sofa set will arrive next week. I made the mistake of purchasing products from here. Please, don’t make the same mistake!

I wish there was a zero star and I would have given them . Few days back we went to confirm our order of couch , but after seeing the rudest behaviour of the manager , who was an African American , we stepped back . In fact , the manager behavior was not at all professional, he didn’t know any thing about customer service , or how to talk to customers. In fact , first we doubted him as , a manger because of his attitude .we really regret of going to that store and that was the first and last time we visited that store. There are many good stores and places for furniture . Stay away from such place where no one is there to help or provide assistance . Don’t waste your money and time too .

The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful (they graciously stayed past the time they should have gone home to help complete our sale before the holiday week) and found us the perfect sectional for our apartment. I found a bedroom dressers and nightstands on-line. Then I received a flyer offering 25% off - but there was no code. So I opened a chat - "The deal is only good in stores. Prices are higher in store". My product isn't at one of the stores. "The store can order it for you." SO- you want me to drive to a store that does not stock my item, have an employee place the order for me so you can justify your higher pricing in the store, then give me the 25% discount which is not longer a 25% discount? You just lost my business...and hopefully a lot more from this review. See chat snippets attached.

3 hours to get the order in then another 2 the next day to get credit to work then delivery is now 5 days later than promised

Poor quality furniture. Looking for bedroom set. Some handles on the dresser were loose. And some drawers looked like they were made from plywood. Not durable furniture.

I've purchased many items from Ashley Furniture over the past 18 years - both living and bedroom, and have never been disappointed with either the products or the service and this instance was a great example of the same. I would not hesitate to be a customer again and would recommend Ashley to others.

Store appear small, but it's big inside.. lots of options but I did find it's less than Bob's furniture which we just visited.

Max was very helpful and knowledgeable about the furniture. Although they did not have the sofa I was interested in at the store he was very helpful in explaining everything about it.

We were able to look around by ourselves which we appreciated. The leather sofa set we liked was not priced. We saw the price online. Then, we spoke with a sales person who informed us we could get the sofa 25% off and the love seat 20% off. The final price was much higher than expected. We looked at the prices and told the sales person that she started at a higher price. The sales person said the online price is different than the starting store price since the retail store is a franchise. Then, why should I bother looking online? We were disappointed and ended up choosing another sofa set. We almost left the store due to this situation.

Very, very bad experience with Ashley store.we bought a dinner table and 6 chairs. The legs of 4 chairs 1 leg is almost an inch shorter than the rest . We requested a new set and they want us to pay for. We are very upset with this store. We want a new set. the manager requested so many pictures and information for nothing. This business is TERRIBLE! I ordered a leather sofa bed, chair & ottoman in early March. My delivery date was changed twice, which meant I had to change my schedule & also the Got Junk pick up. The third time I canceled my order, actually going out of my way to the Vernon Hills store. I did it in person because @ this point I certainly didn’t trust them. Almost 6 months later & I am still receiving texts & email to call & schedule my delivery… Do NOT give Ashley your patronage!

Terrible experience with Ashley Furniture! I ordered a specific couch, but when it was delivered, it was the wrong color. I immediately contacted customer service, hoping they'd fix the mistake quickly. Boy, was I wrong! Their customer service was a nightmare. Unresponsive, unhelpful, and seemed completely uninterested in solving the problem. I have spend over 10 hours on the phone with them calling about every other day to try to get this corrected before we moved out of town. I was promised someone would call me back but never did. I kept trying to get them to exchange the wrong couch for the right one, but they dragged their feet. To make matters worse, I had to move to Connecticut before they managed to sort out their mistake. Now I'm stuck with the wrong couch, which is ugly color. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere. Ashley Furniture clearly doesn't care about their customers or getting orders right. I'm out both time and money, and all I have to show for it is a ugly couch I never wanted. Absolutely disappointing and frustrating experience from start to finish. After a month of run around and several people telling me I couldn’t talk to a manager, I decided to take the couch back to the store. When I arrive, the store manager came out to greet me. She had no idea what we had gone through and started issues the return and a pickup for a few days later. Happy ending but too much wasted time and energy on everyone part. I made about 13 calls over 3.5 weeks which took 20 min to 2hrs each.

My in store experience was great. I am having issues with my delivery which I am pissed about. I can’t call the store directly to figure out where the ball was dropped or to file a complaint. I’m not sure if I would buy from this company again based on that alone.

I keep going back to this store because they understand how to deliver great service with a smile. I can't remember each of the different people who have helped me on each visit but I feel like they go the extra mile to get things right.

Bad experience. They told me I can secure deal for several years by open credit card，if I am planning for moving to a new house. But then I found my credit record had twice hard pull（which I thought should be onece）. And the most terrible thing is they canceled my order for delivery issue. That means twice hard pull for getting me nothing. I need to contact them and also ask my lawyer.

We had a very positive experience. Staff was knowledgeable and gave us the best deal on our mattress purchase, which we confirmed by visiting other mattress stores and online sites. Ashley had the best prices and deals.

I recently moved so I purchased a new bed, a couch, and dining room table from Ashley. The showrooms and sales reps were a good experience. I know once purchasing these items at the store they come from a warehouse. My 1 star is for the customer service and warehouse. My dining room table leaf didn't lock and looked to be altered or repaired and there was a repair clear as day on the top of the table. I had zero time to look at every detail on delivery day because the delivery guys were in such a rush to complete their over packed truck of deliveries. When buying at the store I was under the assumption I was buying a brand new table and not a refurbished table. When you spend as much money as I did with Ashley I expect brand new items. I have called a dozen times and I get the run around, "we escalated it to our manager", "I will call you back today", " you should be getting a call back in the next day or two", on and on. Not once have I been contacted by them, oh except to pitch a new sale they had going on. Their. Ustomer service is horrendous to work with. No one wants to solve this problem even though that is literally their jobs as customer service. I have received zero service as a good paying customer. I just want a new table, should be easy swap out right.

Ashley’s has great furniture for an ok price but the buying process is painful. I just bought from Ashley’s my second time. The sales associate hounds you and follows you around, and both times I bought from in store they act like I’m getting a great discount until I check Ashley’s online price. The floor salesmen don’t even tell or match the online price unless you bring it up, and the most recent floor saleswomen made some rude implications as well. I would say don’t even bother buying in person except then you can’t choose picking up the furniture yourself and save $$. Have had my dining table and chairs for 9 months and no complaints though, so a solid 3/5 overall experience.

We had bought living room furniture from Ashley 12 years ago. We had such good luck with this furniture we decided to return to Ashley! Riley is an excellent representative of Ashley. We had chosen recliners prior to speaking with Riley. He was able to help us through our purchase and even suggestions for getting rid of our old pieces of furniture that we no longer needed. A great, no- pressure place to buy furniture!

Terrible customer service. I took my mother in law last week Tuesday (12/19) as she was in search of a specific dresser style and color, and we were racially profiled by the Hispanic dude in the white coat and the old white guy. I never asked anyone for help, I hate being followed around the store by the salespeople at these places but the white guy asked what I was looking for and I told him and he told me that the dressers are scattered all around the store, then proceeds to stare at me as if I’m an idiot. And I’ve been to Ashley many times before, not this location but the one in Morton Grove which is way better and has a bigger selection, so I know everything is scattered. Plus he’s the one who came to me trying to help. So then I’m like “yeah I know we’re just looking around” and he’s like “yeah they’re scattered but we do have the clearance in the back if you want something cheaper…hold on”, and then tells the Mexican dude in the white coat to help us. And the Mexican guy asks us in Spanish what we needed help with, but he couldn’t even look us in the eye. What was the point of asking the other guy to help us when I speak perfectly good English and already spoke to the white guy? Then my mother in law is going around taking pictures of furniture she likes for her house but she wants her husband’s second opinion on it, and we ask for a price on one dresser. The Mexican guy walks up to the tag really sassy with his hands behind his back, says like $1200, and walks away. Then we go to the front of the store and we are looking around there since when you walk into a store you tend to start at the back, again the Mexican guy comes to us and says “any questions?” in Spanish and my MIL is explaining that we might need to measure her current dresser and the area and all this, and the guy isn’t even listening to her, he has this smirk on his face like “they can’t afford anything”. And I’m staring at him like 🤨. Thinking to myself “He’s probably just doing this so we buy something to prove we can afford something” but none of the furniture there was cute and I swear the one in Morton grove has way better options and the staff is super friendly. So I ask him in English for the tv stands, since I’m on the hunt for one, and he tells me they’re all around the store but they have one in the front he can show me. I’m like no thanks. I tell my MIL let’s go. And we leave, I couldn’t stand being in there and the white guy kept looking over at the Mexican dude and rolling his eyes all angry. Ridiculous. Treat your customers better.

This is the worst store. the sofa has not been delivered to me since November 27 and no one has called me. I call for 4 weeks and nothing . Today I have no money and no sofa. see you in court soon 😊

Order online, my table was $150 more dollars in store than online. They are also not very accommodating and pushy salesmen. Bad vibe in this store. Do your self a favor and don’t come here.

Had to order all new cushions for a couch bought in 2021. The couch was poorly made and truly if I knew it wouldn't last past a couple of years would have never bought it. The sales people at Ashley were very nice, but took awhile to finally order new fabric for cushions. The good news is I did not have to pay a to replace the fabric but Ashley should stand behind their products. I took out a warranty which was not helpful since it doesnt cover quality of a piece .

I waited a moth after the sales representative said I’d get my couch in a week, and then I got a phone call that said my order was delayed followed by a text telling me that my couch was in storage followed by another phone call telling me my order was delayed again, I do believe that the only reason I got it this time is because I asked for a refund.

We have just moved to Vernon Hills from the UK so needed to furnish our apartment asap. The delivery date was also important to us and he reassured us and built our trust straight away as we had just been let down by another future shop in Vernon hills who failed to deliver furniture we had ordered 2 weeks ago. This was a nightmare for us. The manager at Ashley’s Taj was so helpful, polite and professional to he also built our trust. We were able to buy all our furniture here and will definitely use this shop again. I also really liked the 3 tier price points as to suit everyone’s financial situation. They had amazing deals on, which went above our expectations. This just made the whole experience a happy one. Highly recommend you go to Ashley in Vernon hills. They made our experience a great one!

Delivery driver showed up 1 hour before delivery window. Wife confirmed what was being delivered with driver and he confirmed he had the correct order. He then unloaded everything. We got the wrong furniture delivered the day before our big gathering for Thanksgiving day. Will never shop Ashley and will turn family/friends/colleagues away from Ashley UNLESS THEY RECTIFY THIS IN A MASSIVE WAY

My experience with sales associate, was terrible, he did not follow thru promises made, the delivery date was pushed back a week, which caused me lost time, he couldn't have taken his time while placing a $3K order, there commnication is terrible, thankfully getting the Manager involved helped.

Bought reclining loveseats in 2021 with extended warranty. This year, a component failed and needed service. Called Ashley, they sent the parts and told me to contact them when I have parts. Called back and was told to call the 3rd party extended service group - GBS. Called GBS - they couldn’t locate my information stating that they have No Records from Ashley. Called Ashley - they blamed their partner GBS of deleting customer info if no claim is filed in 2 years. (It is as absurd as it sounds). To resolve, all Ashley could do was send me the invoice so I can take care of the paperwork that they were supposed to do for me (paying customer) to whom they sold the extended warranty on the furniture they sold. Want the run around - go to Ashley Furniture.

My wife and I bought a couch here. When it was delivered, one leg didn't fit on the couch. First they sent me more of the same legs, that also didn't fit. Then after being told that a service order would be opened up on my behalf, I waiting almost a week and a half before getting fed up and calling myself on the status of my case. I was told a technician would reach out to me that day to schedule maintenance on the couch. Again, I had to continue to call to ask when we would get our couch fixed. After almost a week I received an automated message to schedule the maintenance. They could not come out to fix the couch for almost a month. When a technician finally came out to look at the couch, he couldn't fix it. All because of the three size where the leg screws in. It's been incredibly frustrating and over a month of living in our new home, we still don't have a functional couch. We paid 2k for this couch. I DO NOT recommend Ashley Furniture. Customer service is terrible, their furniture is cheaply built yet still expensive. AVOID!

I can not speak to the overall sore of this store just my interaction with Carlos Malone. Carlos was extremely helpful in getting me delivery earlier than corporate provided. This relieved an extremely stressful situation and the local store also matched the corporate pricing on a sleeper sofa. I recommend stopping in and checking it out.

On 08/06/23, we walk into this store interested in purchasing a bedroom set, living room set, and dinning room set. My wife chose all of the furniture mentioned above. When it was time for me to pay, I had a few questions on the mattress brand and the promotion. I had asked if they carried "Bed Gear mattress". The sales consultant, Tammy, responded that Bed Gear did not make mattresses. I informed her that they did because we had seen them in another furniture store. She responded rudely, and asked why we would want a matress from a brand that is not known to make mattresses. I instantly believed that there was a lack of knowledge. My wife chose a luxury Ashley's matress. It had a promotion with purchase of a Bed Gear set. Tammy attempted to sell me a for purchase mattress cover explaining it was the best. Although, the matress promotion had a with purchase free matress cover set. After questioning the promotion, her asking coworkers, and supervisor. They gave us the Bed Gear Set. Unfortunately, we did not check the size of the matress cover and we left home with a queen instead of a king size. My wife went to the store and explained that situation on 08/15/23, a male individual told my wife there weren't any king size and they would need to order more. They stated that they would call. They took the queen but didn't give my wife anything to show for the return. We have yet to receive a call. I've reached out numerous times, my wife has reached out. All to get to the same thing conclusion. We purchased eight thousand worth of furniture and the experience and customer service has not been satisfactory. We would not recommend this location.

Salesman told us shipping is included and at the end there was a charge. He also told us we would get $800 off our order, then he changed it to $600. In the end there was nothing taken off. We ended up not buying the furniture we wanted. He did not seem to know what was going on, very bad service.

My experience at this store was amazing! From the minute I walked in to the second I walked out I felt very happy and confident with my purchase. Taj helped us throughout the process and helped us pick pieces of furniture that fit our needs. If you need anything at this store do not hesitate to contact Taj he will take care of you like you’re his own family. Really great customer service and an even better person.

Overall experience was good. Was able to spend some time in the store to find the couch that was best for us and the family/dogs. one thing to mention is the salesman did seem to get a little frustrated with us when we had asked if they could match the price to what we saw online. there was a $300 difference between in store and online, and in this economy every little bit we can save helps, you know? he also got a little frustrated when I messed up the CC machine when I was leaving an initial down payment... it had been a long day for me and I did not hear him when he said "green button first, then insert card." not the end of the world (in my mind), but other than that we were happy with the discounts given and financing options. hopefully the couch will be just as nice in person as it will be in store.

Went to Ashley Home furnishings on Saturday as we were looking for a new mattress. They had a Labor day sale going on. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Carlos who offered assistance and proceeded to show us numerous models and features. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. We started to get overwhelmed and said we need to talk it over privately. He told us no problem and and said he would be around. After about 30 minutes we decided to order a tempurpedic. Delivery was on Tuesday and on time as promised. Thank you Carlos for all of your help.

I don’t care to write reviews because I feel that everyone has their days but this one I had to write about. This is a long review. I gave the store a one star only because of Carlos. And because I haven’t gotten my items yet. Hearing the reviews I’m thinking I might cancel before my furniture arrives. Not sure if I want to take the chances of being wrongly mistreated. Be careful going to the Ashley store in Vernon Hills. I was wrongly mistreated. I was trying to take catch their Bogo deal before it ended. The day the deal was suppose to be over I had errands. I checked their hours, online..said they were open til midnight, umm ok we know that’s not trues. So I made sure I got there before 9pm. Arrived at the store at 8:30pm, stores hours posted were closing at 9pm. But the doors were locked. Locked 1/2hr before closing. The employee in the store, was closing a sale. The customer he was with showed him that we were at the door. He saw myself at the door, as I held up the flyer for bogo asking to come in to make a purchase. He looked up, shook his head in dismay and continued on helping his customer. Did he open the door … nope. Did he at least say I’m sorry come back tomorrow I closed early… nope. Did he give some kind of respect that people should get if closing a store early … NOPE! Just plane disrespect. I stayed til he finished his sale.. was hoping he would acknowledge or something. NOPE!! he kept his head down as if I didn’t exist. Such disrespect especially since I wanted to purchase a few items. You might think… what nationality are you. That doesn’t matter. Treat customers with respect!! I came back the next day… complained and found out the employee who treated me with such disrespect was the store manager. THE STORE MANAGER who goes by the name Taj. I was second guessing giving Ashley my money. Why would I want to give my hard earned money to a company who disrespects you and acts as if you don’t exist. But a pleasant manager of the company named Carlos helped me out. He was very helpful. Heard and listened to my concerns. Taj does not deserve to be the store manager. My money is just as good as the money that he was closing. Just as good or even better. Without him knowing he treated me with disrespect. Tamara greeted us shortly after we arrived at the Vernon Hill store and began looking around for a replacement sofa. Her approach was gentle, warm, and inviting. She gave some information relating to what we were there for and left us to continue looking. Once we were deciding one 2 or 3 pieces she gave more descriptive information, enough that we were able to make an informed purchase

Id give it ZERO stars if I could. Do not buy a mattress from this store. The mattress we bought was a defected mattress. My father has Parkinson’s, and they won’t do anything to replace it until you jump through hurdles. From the beginning we had issues since purchase. Returning anything is a hassle .We have spent thousands with this store, and they take your money and don’t treat you right once they get your money. All we want is the $2500 mattress we bought replaced so my father with Parkinson’s can sleep better. The mattress sinks in. It’s defected and it’s literally a run around to try to get anything done. My parents are elderly and live 10 minutes away, and they won’t send anyone out to make sure the quality of mattress they told us was the one we got. No firm mattress should sink once you lay in it. If you have back issues or need proper sleep, Do not trust this store. My father has Parkinson’s, and now because of their “yarn test” procedure they won’t rectify this issue. This is so sad. They pride in comfort and quality, but once they take your money, good luck getting anything done. An automated system texts you with directions, and it’s a hassle to do anything . No one person will speak to us. GOOD LUCK

If I could give it negative stars I would. I will never purchase anything from Ashley ever again. The people in the store are wonderful but customer service is a scam. My furniture was delivered damaged I was told to contact customer service. After I was put on hold or hung up on 3 times I finally reached someone who said they filled out a "ticket" for me and someone would contact me in 2-3 days. It's been 8 days and over 10 phone calls to customer services and I still can not reach anyone about my issue. I spent $4000 on furniture just for it to arrive damaged, and then I call customer service and I'm promised I'm going to be transferred to a supervisor or an associate that can assist me and they just put the call on hold and eventually hang up if you don't hang up first. They're scam artists, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY!!!

Poor poor poor! customer service ever received!! Right from the first moment we had the worst time with this store! 1. The person who was assisting us Joan Rodriguez who was probably the most rude sales person I have ever seen 2. Some of our order was "sold out" after we did make an order, and had no updates until we physically came to the store to enquire about those! This happened a month ago and still haven't got a refund for those! 3. The sales person put a queen ben which we asked for as just "Bed" so they sent us a King bed which was unfixed and sitting in out house for a week, we had to go to the store again like 3-4 times for them to come and take that and send us the right one, we had to go again to ask them to send it! 4. The book case was rescheduled like 4 times and came to us a month after instead of the promised 1 week! In total we visited the store like 10 times and still very unsatisfied , extremely poor customer service and the Sales person Joan Rodriguez had a big attitude right from the first second, he acted like he hated to talk and was just rudely answering whatever we asked for! Moreover just give us the refund we are done with you guys! The refund is for the items that wasn’t delivered to us!

Don't buy furniture there!!!!! Customer servise is horrible. We came there to get a new sofa for a living room. Carlos helped us with that. I was looking for modular sofa. He assured us that sofa we chose has metal brakets to hold pieces together. When we got our sofa it didn't have any brakets and plus all corners were dirty( sofa is white). Pillows and sides also dirty. Delivery people told us to call customer service and we have 72 hours to make a claim. We called store, manager Taj, didn't resolve any issues. He is apathetic. I don't know how they hire such incompetent people. Very disappointed!

Robert got me exactly what I wanted! I went in for a sleeper sofa, saying I had one picked out from off line but still wanted to see what they had on the floor. He coincidentally took me to the one I had picked out which looked better in person. He got me a great deal on it and I’m actually having it delivered this weekend! Didn’t pester me to buy anything extra just a really good sells-man and person! I was also in and out within about 45 mins. Thank you Robert!

Completely unprofessional staff. I bought a sectional couch, at first I didn't really want it because it would go apart. But Carlos assured me that it won't because it has special hinges. Also, he promised me that I would get it within a week, than 3 weeks, so I finally got it in a month. Every time I called him, he would promise to called me back, but never did. To my surprise, it doesn't have the hinges and it is all dirty. When I called Carlos he would ask his manager something all the time, so I asked to talk to the manager. The manager Taj called me back and told me that it is modular and that's why it doesn't have the hinges. On the phone he was apathetic, and wouldn't want to help me or offer any solution.

Purchased a bedroom set today July 9th Vernon Hills location. I am sending Carlos a special thank you for his professional suppor,t service, and assistance. At first it was a very pleasant experience with Tammy and the managers in the store, but it has since turned into a nightmare to deal with delivery and canceling items we no longer need. Our delivery made it last week but it was partial delivery only 3 of the 4 sectional pieces were delivered and desk was missing. We were told by the delivery guys to call in for status on those items. We did and only to be told their entire systems are down and they cannot access our order and were told only chance is to go back to the store physically and MAYBE they might have access. We did that and only 1 tablet in their store was actually working so we waited while they assisted another upset customer then were told we'd get a call from the corporate office on Tuesday and since then they still have not cancelled our item we don't want and still have not been able to schedule the missing items delivery. Unreal its been going on for 2 weeks... how can an entire point of sale system be down for so long... something ain't right with this organization. Wish I could find some help.

Ashley furniture has a unique niche not too cheap but not too expensive.

Great Experience

I had a nice experience at the Vernon Hills Store, but the delivery team and customer service for Ashley Furniture are less than satisfactory. Setting up the delivery was great. When my items were delivered, I noticed the tables were too big and I asked him to take it back the same day. However, the delivery driver told me that it was complicated to return the items today and he would have to make special phone calls that wouldn’t guarantee delivery that day, and the best and appropriate course of action is to hold onto it for <72 hours, call Ashley Furniture, and they will come back and pick it up. I asked him again before he left if he could take it back with him, but he repeated the same thing. A few hours after the delivery I called Customer Service as requested to set up a pick up time. But, the customer service agent, Simone, told me that once the items are delivered, they cannot take it back. I told her that I wanted them to take it when it was delivered, but the driver was the one who would not take it back. I wanted to talk to the supervisor about this, but he/she was busy and I was supposed to get a call back- I still haven’t gotten a call back. I have since called back multiple times to speak to someone about this and spoke to 4 people all saying that because I accepted the delivery and didn’t return it on the same day, then they cannot come back, and a supervisor has still not reached out. And the cherry on top- I was texting with the ChatBox person, who told me that I signed a waiver at the time of delivery showing I understood the delivery policy. But, I was never given any paperwork to sign when my furniture was delivered- this is completely fraudulent and it’s likely the delivery driver forged my signature. This is not acceptable and I hate to even resort to a Google review to be heard by someone at the company, but I am not in the wrong on this because I was following orders from a representative of your company who refused to take my items on the delivery date. I just want someone to take back the tables as I had requested at the time of delivery.

Update… 7/10/23 So POS system was down and ASHLEY failed , once you are out of the sales persons sight they no longer care about that sale . I called several times and was not able to get anyone … when I finally spoke to Robert he was crass and uninterested because I wanted to cancel my order , it took me two weeks to cancel the order in order to free up the money on the cc . The cvs folks say they request the cancellation it’s up to the store to cancel when they finally canceled the order I found out that the wrong color was ordered initially anyway. Wow Wow , had a great experience at Ashley in Vernon Hills. In search of a new sofa sectional Had not planned to purchase but the service was so good, we decided to order so we’d have out choices in time for the move . They honored the tax in the state where delivery is taking place . Robert was an awesome conversation and had answers -all of our questions . Couldn’t be more pleased .

Buyer Beware: This location does not allow you to return even if you find damage immediately!!! We moved from Europe to Illinois. I needed furniture. We went to Ashley’s and they said it would be two weeks on Jan 21st. I just received my tv stand on 14th of March. The delivery was damaged I reported it immediately but they gave me the run around. I went to the store by this time, I was done! They do not allow you to do returns at the Vernon Hills store! They are scheduled to fix my furniture April 18th I will not be shopping there again! I am on a third delivery for my purchase due to the first two deliveries having damages. On the second delivery one of the delivery guys expressed being aggravated with his work. Very uncomfortable situation. Was told new shipment would be here today. Then I get a phone call to set up for next week delivery. After the first delivery that was damaged I called customer service at the store I purchased from and was basically told I was in possession of the product so it is my problem now. So now I have to wait until next week to see what takes place. I have made purchases in the past from this company and have always been very satisfied but this has been a very dissatisfied experience this time. Well here I am still having issues trying to get a fourth replacement. Was told I should have refused delivery which is exactly what I did and was told no that it stays here until new one is brought. Why isnt the product checked before they deliver it. They brought the same chairs back the third time. I know that because they still had the furniture pads on the bottom of chair legs that I had put there. They call and tell me delivery between 7 - 10 and then a short while later they text to confirm its 10 -1. Tech comes out says table can't be fixed and that he will place order for new one. I didn't hear anything for 4 days so I call them and they ask me if I am satisfied with repair. Now I am the one having to take pictures and send to them because they don't have order for replacement just a repair and they will see if there is anything they can do. The service was great while making the purchase now it is ridiculous and rude. Was sent a message that Ashley wants their customers happy and satisfied . Well then prove it.

I will no longer buy any more furniture from this place. the sales person recommended a delivery company because we had bought the furniture on display they gave me a window from 4 to 8. After several hours of waiting I texted and then received a call 20 minutes later from Jorge stating that they were running late. It is now 9:20 pm on a Monday night and I have not received my furniture. UPDATE: They showed up at 10pm and didn’t leave until 10:30pm… Never Again!!

I wish I could give zero stars. Let’s start off with the fact that they do not answer their phones, and when you finally get someone on the phone, they can’t help and you have to wait for a “call back,” which never happens. Next, I was encouraged to buy the extended 5 year warranty for my sectional because “you can basically get a whole new couch if you request it before the five years is up.” GREAT! Sign me up! Well, it’s been 8 months since our couch was delivered and it looks like TRASH. It is incredibly uncomfortable to sit in, and the fabric is falling apart. I reach out to Ashley and the response I get is “You are too close to the warranty date for us to do anything about it.” Hm… I am 4 months away from my 1 year manufacturing warranty and 4 years and 4 months away from the extended warranty I purchased… So why can’t my couch be damaged out? This store is awful with horrific customer service and horrific products to match. I highly recommend staying as FAR away from this place as you can. Here are photos of my couch after using it for 8 months… Enjoy, because we definitely can’t!

Never making the mistake of purchasing anything with them again. Ordered a couch and we told and showed our salesperson, who I believe was Carlos Morales, that we wanted the chaise to be on the right arm of the couch, not left arm. If he were confused, I’d appreciate him telling us and confirming which side it should be on. However he didn’t and I found that out when our couch got delivered. Been trying to get an exchange, but trying to have customer service call you back is a hassle. 72 hours has passed and no one has called back. Called today only to receive a ticket number. Maybe someone will call on Monday 😒 At this point, I’ll just make do with the mistake since many are saying the delivery after exchanges or returns has given them a headache. Save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere.

I probably would have let this go, but my Ashley saga continued today so I feel compelled to write. I needed a full sized bed/mattress to complete my guest bedroom. After some online sleuthing, I decided to visit the nearest Ashley Furniture in Algonquin on 11/26/2022. Nicely appointed store with a chilly sales staff (4 walked past me as I browsed the beds, before I corralled a very nice lady named Helen). She assisted me with my choices ($1100.00 total) and set up my financing smartly and efficiently. So far so good, and I knew my delivery might take a few weeks.Cut to 12/08/22. I receive an automated notice that my merchandise was in and to call and set up delivery. I did, setting up Saturday 12/24/2022 as my delivery date as I work all week and live alone. On 12/13/2022, I receive another automated message telling me to call and set up delivery. What? Deja Vu? I call back and find out that there is no record of my delivery request in their system. By now I'm pissed, but I set up the next Saturday 12/31/2022 for delivery. On 12/30/2022 I receive another message (from an actual human) that my delivery will not happen as the bed rails are not in. Were they in on 12/8 and 12/13? No clue.At this point, I'm done. I reach another Customer Service human and cancel my order 12/30/22. A month wasted, no bed, No delivery in sight. Done done done.Today (1/7/2022) I receive yet another Autobotic message telling me that my bed was still not in and thanking me for my patience. What in the AF? I reply that I had cancelled the order and am answered by a human monitor that I will have to OPT OUT so emails and texts will cease ...why wouldn't they cease when the order was cancelled?So now I don't really want to OPT OUT...I'm just starting to have fun. We'll see where this takes me. By reading the YELP page for this store I'm betting that I'll get an automated response explaining that they actually give a shit but offering no clear solutions. All in all a nice store with with a nice selection...everything beyond that was mediocre to miserable. Buyer beware.

I absolutely loved Lori, our sales person but I don’t think she was able to get me the best price possible. I had a 20% off coupon and I basically had to get the protection plan to get the 20% off but that’s not what the coupon said. Then at the end of the sale after all went through, I was told that if we didn’t use the protection plan, i could get it back but in only in the form of a store credit, not a credit back to me. Misleading information!!

If only there were zero stars... I bought two pieces of bedroom furniture from the Ashley Furniture store in Vernon Hills, IL (551 N Milwaukee Ave, Vernon Hills, IL 60061) on October 14, 2022 (it shipped from Ashley Homestore in Memphis, TN). Not long after, I received a "How did we do?" text. Once the furniture was delivered, the first time I opened one of the drawers on the chest (November 1, 2022), the sliding mechanism fell off both sides of one of the large drawers, and one came loose from the side of a small drawer. I immediately tried calling the Vernon Hills store where I bought it, and no one answered the phone. I called many times and at various times of the day. No one answers. Ever. I replied to the "How did we do?" text with photos of the broken furniture asking for a replacement. Of course, that's not their policy. They have to order parts, which usually arrive in 7-10 days (again, I was told on Nov 1st that I'd receive them in 7-10 days, and I still don't have them. Today is December 12th. Since then, I've been back and forth on text messages and phone calls with roughly a dozen Ashley customer support personnel who refuse to let me speak with a higher-up, even disconnecting me when pretending to transfer me. One of them told me (lied) that her system showed the parts were delivered to my home on December 2. Yesterday, someone gave me a bogus UPS tracking number to show that the parts had shipped. The UPS site says they could not locate the number. I called UPS, and they confirmed. It's not that the tracking number was entered in their system, and they're waiting to receive the shipment. It's that the number doesn't exist. It's obvious at this point that Ashley is simply lying to me, hoping I'll give up. I finally did speak to a presumably "higher-up" who told me I should go talk to the people at the store where I bought it to see if they could resolve the issue for me. I don't want to make a scene in the store, which is why I preferred to handle it by phone, but I may have to do that. This piece of junk furniture I paid $1,500 for has been sitting in my bedroom, unusable for nearly two months. Never again will I buy Ashley's sub-par products. I will tell everyone I know about the poorly-made products and the reprehensible service I received.

Long story and several trios back to the store , items will have to be pickup from warehouse not on site , which they'll make you pay extra no matter what , 2nd double and triple check orders no matter what the sales person tells you , just a horrible place to buy furniture. I thought it would be easy to purchase 2 sofas had the item number and ready to go simple , it has been a headache . They don't answer the main store number or emails. Beware of return policy ,there's none , you will have to keep the item no matter what or exchange but will have to jump trough hoops to get the exchange. Not worth it at all .

They have just about all the furniture you'd need for your home. Quality is low to mid. No sustainable eco furniture. Back end customer service is lacking.

Anyone wants to join suing Ashley? I saw so many people are experiencing the same problems and they are NOT resolving it. The worse thing is their customer service manger behaved passively aggressive and froze our delivery. Their sales people are great! BUT that was before you make the payment. We have been experiencing horrible absence of accountability between the store and the customer service. At this point we have to consult our lawyer and sue them.

Buying was easy in July, delivery was easy and earlier in the day than expected, but on December 3rd! Scheduling delivery, dealing with customer service and finding correct information were horrible. We were patient with delays on getting the sofa and chair, but once it came to scheduling delivery, we are extremely frustrated and will never buy from Ashley furniture again. when asked by friends and colleagues about furniture recommendations, we will steer them away from Ashley- it was just terrible!

Lori was an awesome asset to helping me pick out my new living room furniture. She moved table & lamps all over so I would be able to see what it was going to look like. How awesome to be treated so warmly and so very kindly. I am a loyal customer because of how she welcomed me and her efforts to get the best prices for me are so appreciated.

Sales staff was very considerate. Introduced themself and left us alone after pointing out where things were we were interested in. We met the manager upon entering and he was the most friendliest and professional person one could ask for, lol, and I must say.....the busiest. Everyone in the store wanted him constantly, I have no idea how that young man pulled it off but, grats to him on a job well done! He answered every question, stayed out of our way, as did the other sales staff, so polite in this store, all of them. Go here if you need furniture, everyone is very nice. Mark

This is a terrible place to buy furniture. It’s overpriced and delivery is a nightmare. I ordered a table that was delivered and was damaged, a whole metal railing was ripped off the bottom with no screws. There’s no way the delivery guys did not see this when putting the table together amongst other things wrong with the table. They sent a repair tech out to fix the table and he couldn’t and said this table needs to be replaced. They came back another day to exchange the table and they brought the wrong table. In their delivery truck I saw my exact table that looks like it was delivered to a previous customer and makes me think they delivered my table to the wrong house. Now I’m waiting 2-4 weeks for the correct table so I can take a fourth day off of work to be here for the delivery. On top of that nobody called me back to check on status when they told me they would within 48 hours. I asked what do they do for customers in this situation to make things right like a partial refund on the delivery because of how poor it was. Their response was that they aren’t charging me a second delivery fee to make things right. Now why would I ever be charged an additional over priced almost $300 delivery fee for Ashley’s mistakes? I’ve furnished my whole house from different furniture companies that charge 3x less than what Ashley’s charges for delivery.

Went into the show room in Vernon Hills about 2 weeks ago and purchased A TEMPUR-ProAdapt™ King Mattress. Plus extras. Over $5000 total. Told the salesman and manager that I did not want to wait a month for a mattress but they guaranteed me I would have it in 10 days. On the 10th day of the day it was supposed to be delivered I got an email, not a phone call, saying it would be an additional 4 to 8 weeks until I received my mattress. I could never get a hold of anyone at the store, let alone the salesman who lied to me and the manager who guaranteed it was in stock. Last Friday I finally got a hold of someone on the cooperate customer service line and they advised my order had been canceled per my request. They said I would receive my refund within three business days. I have yet to get my refund. I have yet to get an email confirmation the order is been canceled. And I even got another email stating it would be 2 to 4 weeks until I get my order, that I had just been told was canceled. And I have never seen such terrible customer service, shady salesman, nonexistent customer support, and overall the single worst buying experience I have ever had. I have been calling for over a week and have yet to hear from anyone. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. 11/8/2022 Follow up. Finally got them to cancel the order and give me my refund. Bought 2 pillows, protector, and sheets high end for about $900. I have not opened them and since I did not purchase the bed because of their mistake I wanted to return them. I was never told they were not returnable and can't get anyone to answer the phone at the Vernon Hills Store. Spoke with Carlos "My Salesman" 2 weeks ago, and he advised that the manager would call me back. To no surprise I never heard back from anyone. I was never told they could not be returned and the manager who sold them to me is no longer working there. The manager was the one that lied to me. Carlos did not talk much. Just did the paperwork. I also should note that I asked for a receipt and they advised that they only email them. I did get it but was never told at the time of sale that the items could not be returned. Go Figure!! Worst customer service I have ever experienced in 53 years. Do not go there! Buyer beware!

Overpromises and under delivers. Don’t believe what the store guys say, all they care is their end of month sales and not what benefits the customer. Stay away from Ashley if you want to be sane. We had to file a consumer complaint to have our furniture replaced. Ashley kept sending us broken/ damaged furniture 5 times, wondering what quality checks does a big company like Ashley do ?The store rep sold us the warranty for our furniture for 5 years at an additional cost of $799Don’t buy the warranty it is useless, they don’t cover anything. When we reached out to the warranty dept they said they won’t cover. Had to call the store a zillion times and finally found one lady in that store who was kind enough to help us is Zena, who is a manager who was nice enough to address all our issues. She even reached out to warranty dept herself to give us in writing that all damaged good would be replaced under warranty but the warranty dept refused. Then we had to ask her to imitate refund. Will never recommend Ashley to anyone I know and if you like your sanity, please don’t invest in those horrible furnitures.

I had help from a few people in showroom. All were fantastic. Didn’t try to sell me on a living room set I wasn’t interested in . Spent a lot of time helping me choose what would or wouldn’t work in the house

The entire experience at the store was great. What isn’t great, is the communication after making the sale. I have spent countless hours trying to communicate with their customer service, trying to figure out when my back order furniture will arrive. Then dealing with partial deliveries and at one point 3/4 pieces arrived then the deli every guys forgot a section at the warehouse. I have had to take multiple days off of work. On top of that customer service will tell you to call the store, then the managers there will tell you they will call you back the next day; then they never do. Spent thousands of dollars and the process is just very difficult. We finally received everything. But also had to exchange and wait for damaged furniture to be replaced. Very big headache. Other than that i did receive my furniture and I am very happy with it.

I had a great experience ... No high pressure sales tactics. Tim was a geat guy who I had a lot in common with. Having said all that ... I have not taken reciept of my order yet so this is mostly a review of the courtious salesman Tim.

If you need your furniture soon then I do not recommend buying from them! It's been a little more than a month and I still haven't received my bed, mattress and couch, I've been literally sleeping on the floor all this past month, when I purchased I asked how long would it take to deliver and the sales guy told me about 2 weeks so we thought ok that's not bad we can sleep on the floor for 2 weeks but then they keep moving my delivery date and I haven't heard anything from them so far so I have no idea when I'm supposed to get my stuff, I'm really disappointed and I'm even thinking on canceling my order noe

I was happy to see Tammy when I walked in. I worked with her from 2015 - 2020 at Ashley Vernon Hill. I know the products Ashley sells. I needed a mattress. I told here what I was looking for in a Temper. We checked out 4 and I made my chose but delivery was not until Oct 2nd or 3rd. I would of liked it to diner than 10 days. Tammy will keep me up dated.

Purchased a casual chair for our den. It arrived 8 weeks later and was actually a returned item from another customer. The chair legs were missing, the parts bag with screws was open and some may have been missing as well. No idea if the chair was defective or not. Called Ashley within 8 minute of the delivery and the driver could NOT return to pick up this item. Then called customer service but they couldn't assist me until 24 hours had passed. Went to the store the following day and the assistant manage said that the manager would have to handle my problem. Two days have passed and the manager has yet to call me. My calls to the store do no where and are not answered. Ashley Furniture is a joke. I'll attempt to go back to the store in the next few days.

The delivery was a little earlier than expected but I did get a notification so I was prepared. The delivery crew was friendly and set everything up quickly. 0 STARS typical salesmen “GREG” just wanted to get a sale in went in telling him we were looking for gray couches told him Multiple times and even showed him a picture of some gray couches that I wanted so he went ahead and placed a order we paid cash for them they didn’t have them in stock so we drove an hour and a half to romeoville to pick them up didn’t mind opening them until we got home bc why would I open them there I would have thought he had ordered the right ones turns out he gave ordered them in brown I give him a call and he says he doesn’t remember anything at all and that I never told him I wanted gray when I specifically made it clear I wanted them GRAY and now he wants me to drive back all the way back to romeoville to exchange them or pay an extra $200 for shipping that is HORRIBLE never go here they act like they care just to get a sale but when you have issues they don’t remember anything thanks GREG.

We went to Ashley Furniture in Vernon Hills to look for a couch and had a great experience. Our salesman, Scott was extremely pleasant and helpful. We also had the pleasure of meeting Tim, the manager, who was also very nice. They had a great selection of couches and we found exactly what we wanted. Thanks Ashley Furniture.

Delivered on time, great service

They are unprofessional and don’t care about their customers to make sure they are satisfied. They are only there to push sales but not there to help with any issues. I don’t recommend this to anyone as they screwed us over big time to the point where we don’t have anything to sleep on or sit at least for two weeks if not more. I will be reporting this business as they don’t have any right to stay open as all they do is screw their customers and not even there to help with any issues. You call about your recliner being broke. They say take a picture and send it to us. Where we can order the part. I told them the game was bent. Still want order the part. Plus at the time of the sale I purchased a 5 year warranty. They won’t honor

Friendly service and the staff was very informative

I received notification that the order will be delivered in a few days. That gave me time to get the old furniture out and clear the space for the new furniture. The tracking app let me know when the truck would be here, also the text messages from Ashley kept me informed. It was great!

I am very disappointed by the quality of the bed frame that was delivered after 6 months of wait time to arrive the 1st delivery. I reported the issue and they scheduled the replacement piece which also came with damages. Hence, I rejected the delivery and requested a cancellation with full refund. Customer care stated they will not cancel and they will send another replacement without any defects. However, the 3rd piece that came in also with damages. So I rejected again. I went to the store to talk to the sales and have my order cancelled since I have already wasted so much time waiting for a defect free item. The sales person could not cancel my order and again directed me back to talking to the customer care and they are again saying they cannot cancel and I will have to wait for another replacement item which is back ordered. So I am paying for the item that wasn't delivered to me properly. I feel I am being cheated from Ashley and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I was told that everything would be delivered a month ago. When I got the call to set up delivery they said everything would arrive. However, when the delivery got here there was only half the order. I called and they said that they don’t know why it wasn’t delivered because it shows that it was in the warehouse but they still can’t deliver it to me because they will only deliver to a customer once per day. This was the first time dealing with Ashley Furniture and it has been a nightmare. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Worse Experience and Customer Service Ever. From the beginning of the order being placed it was a big mess from NO communication, to "MANAGERS" not knowing where the order is or why it's not being delivered. Waited 6 months, just for delivery to arrive and damage our chest freezer when setting up the dining set. Looking from the comments they really do a great job in lacking all those skills needed for a happy customer.

This was the most unsatisfactory unprofessional and rudely experience I have ever had with ashley. I paid for furniture I didn't even have, it was suppose to be delivered December 23rd of 2021 and 7 months later I finally got the last peace of furniture I ordered. The sales people were a 0 the delivery guys were great. Will never shop there again thanks for ruining my Christmas and every holiday after that u guys r not professional at all thanks for the grief

I been waiting since july 15th to received my items which when delivered a piece it’s missing. Contacted customer service they lied saying a supervisor was calling me in 30 min which never did. Salesman was very helpful but he told us that delivery date and time can be changed 48 hours before delivery and we requested and called him to change and he transferred someone else and it was a Cold transfer . Long hold and I hung up. Then I spoke to someone and she said we cannot change but I left a note and later on instead of my requested time that I requested in afternoon they changed to half an hour early from 11:30 and was 12pm before and I requested 3pm as we have our Friday prayer and no one called back later. Worst service and Miscommunication and wrong commitment . I was told verbally that I can return the sofa once arrived without any fees and even delivery charges will be refunded and on the paper it says 10% cancellation charges when i asked to give me in written he didn’t . It’s all about making sales with 0 customer service . Not going again.

Oh where do I start. Made purchase on February 12th and still do not have bed or chest we ordered. Was supposed to have it yesterday. Got email saying our order would be delivered June 6th. Only part of bed came and the delivery guys said they couldn't install because of missing pieces. Had to refuse order. Corporate told us to call back the next day and talk to store manager. I have tried calling 📞 15 times, still on hold now. No one is picking up. One time I was on hold for over 25 minutes then it hung up on me. We are ready to cancel our order.

We bought two dining room tablet sets in November 2021. The first table set was delivered as promised in June 2022. The second table set had to be delivered on another day because the third party delivery service stated “the truck was too full” and then changed it to “the furniture has to be assembled in the warehouse”. Anyways, the delivered furniture was damaged. I contacted customer service and the furniture had to be exchanged. The two table sets were matching, so I had to exchange the undelivered furniture as well. I was reassured by the salesperson that he was going to take care of the undelivered furniture and he was going to cancel the delivery. The next day, the delivery men came to my house to deliver the furniture. I told them the delivery was supposed to be cancelled and they left. I called the store regarding this at different times and no one answered. The following day, an operator from the delivery company was calling to schedule a delivery for the same furniture. I called the Ashley Furniture at Vernon Hills again at different times and nobody was answering again, so I went ahead and drove to the store and spoke to the manager who took care of the situation. Now, I received a statement that is due to be paid in July. I called Synchrony bank and the operator stated that I have to contact the store to refund the charges and charge again once the exchanged furniture has been delivered. I’ve called this store at 10:56AM, 11:59AM, and 12:46PM and nobody is still answering. Do I have to physically come to the store just to talk to someone? My shopping experience with Ashley Furniture is already terrible and it just keeps getting worse and worse.

I'd give then no stars because my sales rep Carlos GUARENTEED my fiancé and I a delivery date for the 27th of this month. GUARENTEED, like men's wear house always promised. I get my delivery dates and its 30th and beyond. Called customer service said it got shipped late... I was still GUARENTEED 27th. Tried to file complaint over the phone, she said not her department call another department... called the store to see if Carlos was in. Nope. Asked for manager. None. Associate Stolly said she'd, "leave a message for her manager, but don't expect anything. She might contact you tomorrow. Or maybe monday... but don't expect anything..." seriously? Never again dealing with this company. DO NOT waste your time, they will feed you lies just to get their commission.

Worst customer service . I spent a lot of money here. Very disappointed in the quality of the sofa I got. First this store does not answer the phone, tried contacting my sales person several times got no response at all. The one time someone did answer the phone I was told a manager would call me , never happened. Also left another message for my salesperson . Nerves contacted me. My sofa is not even a year old. The cushions are sloping down . Ashley does not care, they keep giving you different phone numbers to call. When my delivery came it had to do back because of heavy damage from warehouse. Not at all happy with Ashly furniture. Worst customer service.

Juan was very informative and helpful with my father and I purchasing a bedroom set. He is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and personable. All and all it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be coming back for a new mattress and any other furniture needs very soon!

If I could give negative stars I would. On February 6, 2022 my salesman Carlos Malone told us 3-6 weeks for delivery. It’s now 9 weeks later and when I contact Ashley Furniture, they keep moving the estimated arrival dates. Had I been told an accurate delivery window, I would’ve bought elsewhere. I’ll likely cancel my order at this point.

I went in for a very specific item in mind. My space is limited, however. Marcy (sp?) Was just wonderful! We settled on a table that was more in my size range. This awesome woman bent over backwards to accomodate our needs. And I am sure this was not her biggest sale of the day. My first time in an Ashley store, but I will be a regular customer. Furniture is very nice, but it was the kindness and professionalism that we experienced that put it over the top.

Very helpful staff. I've shopped here twice for furniture in the last 2 months and so far have been very pleased. Miguel helped me in December and Marcie and Ubaldo assisted me this past week, and they were all very knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating. Also found the same set here for about $1000 less than at The Room Place. Happy girl! Getting the furniture was another story. We ordered in February and JUST got the furniture YESTERDAY--Aug 20.. The date was pushed multiple times which became extremely frustrating. But I will say the delivery was extremely smooth. No issues at all. Very efficient, courteous and professional.

Spent a lot of time finding out our need. We bought bedroom furniture year ago and it is solid as a rock. Since they make their own furniture I am sure out new couches will hold up too! Highly recommend the Vernon Hills store!

It's been crazy try to make a return/refund with this store, the articles sent are dirty, with scratches and punctures and it's been impossible to talk with the store, they even hung up the phone when I was able to communicate

We were looking for a loveseat recliner and our salesman Gregory helped us find exactly what we were looking for without having to spend all afternoon in the store. It was even 20% off which made the deal even sweeter.

Today was like winning the lottery! My senior Dad and I went to Ashley Home store in Vernon Hills to order a platform bed frame. Our associate was kind, patient and knowledgeable. He helped us order the perfect platform, so my senior parents can finally get in and out of bed without a struggle! I am so appreciative for his help and professionalism. The platform will be delivered next week!! While we waited we looked around for other potential buys! The store is beautiful and we look forward to returning in the near future!

Its not even worth 1 star. The worst furniture buying experience ever. I bought a set of bedroom furniture, waited for 3 months, after which, when all the parts were already in Warehouse, our furniture delivery date was scheduled. When I called to the store, they constantly said that the next week will definitely be delivery, and what do you think, for the next week our delivery date was canceled or rescheduled again. When I called the store, a representative answered the phone who constantly had some kind of technical issues , when I asked a questions about delivery and what is the reason for the cancellation, and when he didn’t have an answers suddenly he had problems with the phone and with the connection , so I couldn’t hear and understand anything . I contacted the manager, the manager turned out to be a nice woman who set the delivery date. And when the delivery arrived, I couldn’t believe my eyes , broken furniture, in paint, unpacked and torn boxes, I was shocked.

Very respectful and helpful. Knew exactly how to help my family and I. Will definitely come back and get more furniture in the future.

To all the people looking to purchase furniture, please avoid this store and Ashley Furniture altogether. I order the bed and mattress from this store, they told me they can delivery all items on the same day. When it came the delivery day, they only bring the bed rails and headboard/ footboard, no mattress. The delivery guy told me that they "forgot" the mattress and box spring even though it is on the delivery order that he had with him?!?!? Another thing with Ashley Furniture that I am not happy about is they do not let you request a delivery window. You can only pick the date but not the time. Are we supposed to sit at home all day to wait for them? Due to the fact that the building I live in only allow furniture delivery from 9am to 4pm M-F if they need to use the freight elevator. I requested that they schedule my delivery anywhere from 9am to 3pm and they said they cannot guarantee the time frame. How can you not guarantee the delivery time frame? 9 to 3 is 6 hours and it is during daytime. It's plenty of time to communicate with your delivery team. Again, please everyone, do not buy from Ashley Furniture. Go elsewhere to shop for your furniture.

We needed to purchase a sofa and dining room set. The service at Ashley is exceptional. The salesperson,Tim, went out of his way to make sure we got furniture that was right for us. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured during our whole interaction. I wish every store would treat us like that!

SAVE YOUR MONEY & SANITY, DO NOT SHOP HERE !!! Customer service is literally not helpful at all. Just forget about even calling them. 'Due to the pandemic' the shipping for our furniture was delayed for weeks. When the furniture actually arrived, it was damaged. We had to go through another headache to get in a contact and ask for a replacement. Then it was delayed again. Once that finally arrived, it was also damaged. Now they refuse to replace with a new or refund the money!!! Now we are stuck we don't know what to do and are stuck with damaged furniture.

I ordered my furniture since November 2021, and it’s June 2022 and I haven’t received my order very disappointed. 😡👎👎👎

We purchased a bunch of furniture back in august of this year. Our estimated delivery was September 1st. It didn't happen on September 1st. We called them and they said it will happen on September 9th. On September 9th they pushed the date back to September 16th... Here we are on 23rd on November, Our delivery date was pushed back like 10 times now. They never call, never text. Every time you call them they promise that everything will be delivered in just 1 more week. Customer service is non-existent. When you ask to transfer you to a manager they refuse saying a quote: "I do apologize I'm not able to transfer you to anyone else as I'm not provided with the information to do so". LOL. Just shop elsewhere, this company is a complete waste of time, money, nerves.

If you plan to buy something from this furniture store think twice but I do not recommend it on August 15 we went with my husband to buy a living room and we paid for it in full, we paid $1000 on the ashley furniture card and the rest cash and they told us that for the covid etc. They were delaying and that it would arrive in October 13.... October arrived and not even call or email I went and asked what was happening they told me that the estimated date had been changed to November 8 and that if I canceled they would charge me 10% of what I had paid and the person I spoke with told me that if I did not receive on November 8 they would reimburse me for everything without any charge, I called and they told me that the estimated date change to November 16 so I went. November 10 and canceled it and they did not return my cash now I have to wait two more weeks so I can get a check. this is ridiculous they are scamming people by telling lies and changing the dates for deliveries.. the worst furniture store in vernon hills illinois.

This store is a complete joke. We purchased a bedroom set and couch from them in July 2021. They said 10 weeks to get our furniture. When we found better furniture for cheaper at a different store. But the time frame was better for us to get it sooner. It is now November 12th 17 weeks at this point. We were supposed to get our delivery on Monday November 15th. And now they can not deliver till a week after. They are so lost and do not know what they are doing. They do not care about the customer what so ever. They tell you they will not deliver unless the old furniture is gone. So we plan accordingly and sell or throw away old stuff. So now we have nothing for over two weeks now seeing as we prepared and sold all the old stuff. I will NEVER purchase from them again and be sure to tell all my friends to not buy from them either. On another note, don’t waste your time calling the store because they never pick up their phone.

Ryan was an excellent resource to help us find the right pieces for the right price within our budget. He has a good sense of design, color, and the merchandise that Ashley offers. He was also sensitive to the current delays in manufacturing and delivery due to the pandemic, and how it might impact what we looked at. Will be back!

NEVER buy anything from Ashley Furniture. They have messed up my delivery 4 times and refuse to give any sort of refund. Not to mention the delivery service arriving later than the three hour window every single time. The customer service agents are rude as hell, promise you call backs and never follow through. The store I purchased from has not answered the phone ONCE in the five weeks I’ve been trying to call to sort this out. Stay away from this place.

Knowledgeable mattress staff but you shouldn't have to take out a 2nd mortgage to buy a mattress or have to finance it. When the salesperson has to go back and ask the manager about discounts, it was very reminiscent of buying a used car. Couldn't wait to get out of there.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!! My wife and I bought a bed and a mattress. They told us deliver was a week later. It has been three. They are unable to figure out how to deliver the both at the same time. They charged me incorrectly. The only people you can get a hold of is corporate. You are unable to get in contract w/ the store. Left numerous messages and hear nothing. NEVER GOING TO BUY FROM ASHLEY AGAIN!

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!! This store has the worst costumer service skills I ever seen. They were very nice when your spending your money but as soon as they know they screw up it’s like pull teeth without lidocaine. We purchase a bed from Ashley’s Vernon Hills and after waiting 3 months for the bed it finally came the head of the bed was different from the foot. My husband and I spend numerous time calling and visiting the store for them to correct their mistakes. To make matters worst they send us a bill after we return the bed. We have called the card company and let them know that the furniture was returned to the store and they started that the store has to put in the return was complete. Over a month since we return the bed and they still have not processed or complete the return. If I could take this one star away I would.

I visited Ashley Home Store yesterday in Vernon Hills and had a terrible experience! We’ve purchased furniture from here and other furniture stores and have never had the price given to us changed right before we paid. The manager also was charging us more for delivery for no apprentice reason! I will never shop at this Ashley and am now considering buying my bedroom set that I wanted from here at another store!

Today my furniture was delivered the chase part of the sectional was already in someone else’s house and returned- covered in dog hair and has stains on it. I am mortified what if it has bed bugs!

Miguel was my sales person… And he was most pleasant and knew his inventory. He Greeted us and asked what type of sofa I was looking for. I told him the space I was working with and so she started to show us sofas that would work in my space. I did find a sofa that I liked and fit my specs. He explained the construction of the sofa and the pillows and cushions. I left, Telling Miguel I had to think about it. And two weeks later I returned. When I took another look at this cushy Sofa, I knew I was going to purchase it. Miguel was busy with another customer so he introduced me to his manager who then completed the sale. My experience at Ashley’s was very smooth.

i have spent close to $3000 worth of furniture here in the last 2 months as I am fully re furnishing my home. I will say that the furniture is beautiful and every piece I have received so far I have been very happy with. The customer service, however, is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Just last week I was supposed to have an accent cabinet delivered to my house...I had someone call a few weeks prior to inform me that the item made it to the warehouse and we set a delivery date for Tuesday June 29th and on that day no one ever showed. When I called i was told there was a mistake and the item will not be at the warehouse until end of August. Why no one had the courtesy to call and tell me this? I have no idea. I set my whole day aside to be blown off. I am awaiting one more furniture item which was supposed to be delivered to my house this Friday and when I called to confirm I was told there was a delay and I will not be getting said item until Monday. Again...no one calls to inform me of this. At this point i then got in my car and drove to the location where i bought my furniture from which is 30 minutes from my house and a very polite woman said that the item is estimated to get to the warehouse on the 12th not delivered to my house....do these people not know how to communicate properly? . I ended up cancelling my order for the accent cabinet and bought the exact same thing from Darvin Furniture and they had it delivered to my house in 1 week without fail. I also ordered a signature design by ashley coffee table from amazon that shipped to my house within 2 weeks but on the ashley furniture.com website it says on back order for 3-5 months. I do understand that many things are on back order due to COVID but I am not understanding why it takes this furniture store exponentially long and other furniture stores such as Darvin can get me my furniture in the timely manner it should. Also every time i have called their customer service line they are extremely unhelpful. I think most of these people work from their homes as the last few times I called i heard a TV in the back ground and a baby crying....how incredibly unprofessional. I have spent thousands here and I have had my eye on the Hillcott 8 drawer dresser for a few months now....but at this point i am going to see if I ca find it elsewhere as I am no longer wanting to do business with Ashley furniture directly after my last item gets delivered...what a shame also when someone leaves a poor review...ashley furniture responds and tells them to text a number or send an email so that their conerns can be "expedited" I have texted this number in the past and it is extremely unhelpful....so please do not waste your time in telling me to do that again.

Do NOT go to this store. We ordered a couch in March. Got it in May and it came ruined. Used. Disgusting. They told us a few weeks we’d have a new one and gave us $100 off a $1,000 couch...come July the “new” couch came with DOG HAIR AND A HOLE IN IT. No one answered the phone at the store and customer service said it wasn’t their problem. Save your money and get a nice new couch at a good store, Ashley furniture sells used furniture for new prices.

Very frustrated. We paid in full for a sectional on April 27, 2021. We were quoted approximately 45 days (month and half) for delivery due to "Covid, we're all in this together, supply chain, etc." When we checked on the status after a month we were told "end of June". Fine, close enough. When we checked a week ago we were told end of July. I wonder if they'll tell me end of August when we check in a few weeks. If your supply chain is so flawed that you can't hit a target within 10 business days... don't accept payment in full. Frankly, I feel like there is a degree of theft to this business practice (time value of money and all), but I'm sure that even if I managed to get a customer service rep on the phone I'd be told "there's nothing we can do. Global supply chain. Covid. Thanks for buying a couch. Our CFO says we'll get it to you when the Fed increases interest rates." If you are considering purchasing from here (or presumably any Ashley), recognize that their estimated delivery dates are flat out made up.

Super quick to sell you something and then the worst customer service. item went on backorder after we ordered it in the store with no notification. Called to cancel the order on 6/8 and was told it would take up to 48 hrs to cancel and I'd get a phone and email to let me know it was done. Here we are 6/14, no call or email. Called again and was told oh I'll send an email to that dept. Both calls had horrible connection and rep was garbled. if I am not refunded by the end of the week I will dispute the charge with the credit card co.

Good value and variety of furniture! Salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful. Would have given it a 5 star review, but you cannot get a Salesperson to answer the phone because of limited capacity of workers.

We came in looking for a table that we saw on the Ashley website. We did not see this table in the store. Asked the person behind the desk about it. She asked if we knew the model and we said no. She said if she did not know the model she couldnt do anything for us. We then asked cant you look it up online? She said no and handed us to another person who also refused to look up the table on Ashley's own website. So we ended up looking up the table for them on our device. To which they replied well we dont have that table. The fact that we had to look up a product that Ashley has on their own website for the Ashley sales people is freaking insane. We went to Bob's Discount also in Vernon Hills. Completely differente experience, great customer service, very helpful. We have our new table.

Once something is delivered, if there is an. Issue, your screwed. The store manager assumed no responsibility, the district manager doesn’t return calls, the corporate office President and Vice President have a voice mail that you never hear back from and their customer care unit, hasn’t a care and reads their scripted answers to customer problems. They have no business being in business. Better service for the same quality at Value City or other basic retail furniture stores.

We bought a bed frame and box spring from the store, everyone was helpful, accommodating and very polite except for the sales person who we had the transaction with. We don’t know if he is having a hard day that Sunday afternoon or he is just being rude. We have been asking him nicely with very minimal inquiries but he would not give us appropriate responses that I have to repeat/rephrase all my questions. He was impolite and would not explain further. He was very impatient to us and would show dismay. We tried to wait for other sales person but he was the only one available that specific time. We did not even take time in choosing the bed because we went to the store with a good idea on which one we should get but we still ended up buying from Kevin K from Vernon Hills. We don’t want to waste time and just wanted to buy that bed since the waiting time for delivery is like 6-8 weeks.

We stopped by looking forward to buy a living room set and we left happy knowing we found something we loved plus it was available right away! No long waits thank you Mike for his help!

Prepare to be disappointed! The sales people at Ashley in Vernon Hills are nice enough. We spent over $3000 on a mattress and bed. We paid for everything and ordered everything over 2 months ago for delivery on May 1, 2021. We specifically choose items that the sales people guaranteed would be delivered on May 1. No surprise, no mattress was delivered. No one from Ashley contacted us and told us the mattress was not available until late June...maybe. Kind of tough to sleep on a bed with no mattress!!! The worst parts were: ZERO communication and when I called multiple times yesterday to try to resolve the situation, I was hung up on 6 times and a “manager” was guaranteed to call me back and surprise surprise (not) NO ONE every called me back! NEVER GO TO ASHLEY! Unless you like terrible customer service and no communication.

I will NEVER buy from Ashley Home Store again!!!!! We went into the showroom at Vernon Hills on March 24th and purchased 2 theater loveseats. Our sales person told us there were 3 in stock, so we would have our furniture by the end of the month (March)!!! End of March came and went without a delivery date. Each time I called to inquire, nobody answered the phone. When I finally did reach someone, they had no answers. Eventually, I was given April 7th as a delivery date. However, of course, April 7th came and went without a delivery. I called again. Again no answers. I asked to speak with a manager. The person answering the phone was not allowed to provide a contact email or number for the manager, so I was told the manager would call me. Of course, I never received a call from a manager. Once again, I called back, waited on hold for 30+ minutes and finally spoke to a person who promised to send my order to "ESCALATION " - They even gave me a confirmation number. I thought we were making progress. However, I waited another 3 weeks before I finally was given a delivery date. A couple days prior to delivery, we were given a delivery window of 9:30-12:30pm. We rearranged our schedules, took the day off work and waited......12:30pm came and went - no delivery. Finally at 2pm, I called and nobody knew where my furniture was or when it would be delivered. At 5pm, I was finally told that the truck was sent to the far south suburbs today and didn't even have my furniture on the truck. Even though we were scheduled to be the 2nd stop, my furniture was not picked up from the warehouse in Romeoville until 5pm. I live in a far north suburb. With traffic, etc I don't expect my furniture to arrive until 7pm tonight.....oh, yes, I'm still waiting. Here's the best part. At 5:30pm, a "manager" from Ashley Home Store called to say my delivery will arrive between 4-5pm.......WHAT????? She was calling me at 5:30pm. Did she even look at her watch as she was telling me that?? I will never buy from Ashley Home Store again!!!!

I do not recommend shopping at this place. Even though the sales associate will help you when you are purchasing. However, once the transaction is over, they do not provide the same service. I was told by the sales associate that the couch would be delivered along with other furniture within a couple of weeks. After a week later, I was told that the couch will be delivered two months later. While other furniture stores were honest and estimated 7-8 weeks, Ashley’s furniture blatantly or ignorantly lied. In addition, when my bed frame was delivered, the headboard was unbalanced/defective, so they had to take it back. When I called to talk to a manager, which took me hours to get hold of someone, she was incompetent and wasn’t willing to provide any answers. She claimed that her system was down and wasn’t able to pull up my order and basically had no interest in providing any accommodations. She said she’s just a manager and had no authority or something. It was a frustrating phone conversation and waste of my time. Why does she even have that title if she’s not going to take any responsibility or provide any details on when the rest of the furniture was going to be delivered. Furniture is decent and cheap, but overall, terrible customer service. Just expect to have sales person help you, but once you pay, that’s a different story.

Miguel was so kind and helpful. He helped me get approved for financing the furniture I wanted. All the furnitures at Ashleys are beautiful and made with good quality materials. I felt I had a good deal. The furniture I wanted was on sale and I get to finance for 6 months with no interest rate. The furniture is getting shipped for free directly to my home.

We got a portion of our sectional delivered today by two men...One of them was very respectful, he kept his mask on the entire time and took his shoes off. Unfortunately one of them did not wear his mask! He had it on around his neck and one he saw my husband had his on he pulled it up for 2 mins and then took it right back off! This is highly unprofessional and unsafe. Action needs to be taken towards employees like this, they can't go into a customers house and be completely disrespectful.

If we ran our business like there’s we would be out of business. Careful they charge you even if they don’t deliver on time and you get tired of the games. That’s correct they will charge you to cancel your order even if it’s a month later and they don’t answer the phone so you have to drive back to the store to speak to anyone. I normally don’t write reviews and pretty understanding but when things are handled this poorly doesn’t feel right not to let other know. There’s a reason there Yelp Review is a 2.5!

This store sold us an expensive battery to a motorized reclining couch that was unnecessary. When we attempted to return the battery to get a refund, they would not issue a refund and gave us the run a round. After 6 months of in store visits and phone calls, they have promised on 3 separate occasions to refund us and have not. Still waiting... They take no accountability. Buyer beware.

IMPORTANT INFO, READ REVIEW BEFORE BUYING Its close to 6months since we ordered and still no accurate information on when the items will be delivered. In fact in the last 6months I haven’t received a single call from Ashley for any updates or delays regarding the order. In one of the calls the representative said there are pending orders from a year and half that still haven’t been delivered yet. Worst part is that they are not willing to expedite the order, and they keep saying that they will do absolutely nothing to get it sooner. They are neck deep in water right now but still all of the representatives in store say “oh it takes about a month to get it” Bottom line: Don’t fall for it, not worth waiting 6months to 2years just for furniture.

If you actually want the furniture you are buying to be delivered, go somewhere else. My furniture was supposed to be delivered in March. I have asked for my order to be cancelled, for a cancellation notice to be sent to me and a full refund to my credit card. It wasn’t the best, but I liked the furniture I bought so whatever. My furniture was supposed to be delivered between 4-6 weeks, we are at 6 weeks and no sign of my furniture. I call the store and nobody answers. Call customer service and they are useless. So when will my furniture arrive? Apparently nobody knows or can help me. I unfortunately discourage anyone from shopping from this store. My parents bought furniture at the same time I did and theirs did get delivered within days; however, it was the wrong furniture and what they did get right, was not the correct number of pieces. It took 3 days of customer service calls, many pictures sent to various emails, 4 different deliveries for them to finally get the furniture they bought. When calling customer service about their issues, one representative even said “I can’t help you, I’m working from home”. Wow, just wow. I am hoping someone from Ashley Furniture will see this and help me get my furniture or a refund.

Furniture is decent. There are some beautiful products here. But beware. If you are looking for a store where the salespeople will communicate with you and keep you up dated on your orders then stay away. These are your typical hurry up and get the sale, then forget about you, type of salespeople. Backorders with furniture are a normal occurrence these days. But when there is no communication, no heads up about changes in delivery dates or no ability to reach the store then that becomes a horrible buying experience. Anyone doubt me, then try dialing Ashley in Vernon Hills. You'll never get a person on the phone. Now imagine that silence after you spent about 5k and you have had delivery dates change 6 times in 3 months.

Sorry, I really regrate shopping from Vernon hills store. I got my ordered deliver damaged and your third party delivery company not even reported properly. I waited a week then called customer service and nothing was in their system to confirm that customer received damaged stuff and I had to explain over and over same thing to different customer representative till you find one good one who would listen to you otherwise they all will refused to help you stating we have no authority and can do very little. It has been over two months and I am still waiting for damaged piece to come. Surprisingly there are no coordination among different departments. I received call from their warehouse that your bed will be delivered on such date and when it did not arrive calling customer service did not get help and was told straight nothi g can be done. I had requested many time that my wife is pregnant a d baby is due in few days yet she is sleeping on floor since we had got rid of our old bed to have room for new one. I am still waiting for bed to be delivered next week and she's sleeping on floor using couple of blanket. I even took my complain to store but nobody was good enough to solve my problem instead I had been handed some phone number to call which takes you to same customer service which is useless. I know each store is franchise and if the owner of Vernon hills Ashley wants to save his store it's better that he take strict initiatives. We found some unique products including a mirror and a bookshelf that we’re planning to use as a plant shelf. The items were also reasonably priced.

Tim R. at the Vernon Hills location was the absolute best sales associate my husband and I have ever worked with. Tim went above and beyond to answer all of our questions, explain our finance options in depth, and take the time to show us different types of financing and what our payments would look like depending on which option we chose. We also came in pretty late, and he was in no rush what so ever. He was very positive and easy to work with. He also was helpful on another order we purchased from a different Ashley location. All in all, this is the guy to work with. Ashley furniture, you are lucky to have a guy like Tim!

Hidden gem for sure prices are surprisingly decent

This Furniture store and it's corporate office have THE WORST customer service. We bought a sofa and also the so called Premiere Delivery for $300....NO ONE ever told us they do not move nor take away our old sofa. The premiere delivery was not explained to us. So when the couch came the delivery men would not move our old couch, all they could do is leave the couch ..in the box..in our garage because our old couch was sitting in the same spot we wanted the new couch/sofa..ALSO, the delivery men REEKED of pot smoke. Really professional . I called customer service to complain about the service that was not explained to us..no one offered us an explanation or any help other than for me to call back and have them come back out when WE get the old couch moved out of the way. Thanks a bunch Ashley for offering this Premiere service that is definately NOT premiere ! What happened to making your customer's happy by moving and taking the old stuff with you? Just another way to discredit your customers. Not everybody is 20 years old and able to move furniture! Then I called back to get the premiere service charge credited and the gave me a confirmation number. Nobody has called or emailed us with the credit to our account. I called back and a corporate customer service person said to call back the store itself. I called the store and they don't know why corporate wouldn't check on this but she said she would message the finance dept for them to look into it. I shouldn't have to call this often about either of these issues. When you sell you're premiere service you need to train your sales staff to explain it!! Have a copy of the policy to show your customers and have them initial the policy that they understand it. As it is now, I will NEVER buy even a pillow from your store or stores ever again. I will take this credit issue to the Better Business Bureau if it is not resolved.

Tony at the Vernon Hills, Illinois location went above and beyond when helping our family pick out new furniture. He was so helpful with his suggestions but not pushy. He also has a great sense of humor and kept us laughing. Tony was patient even though I walked us through the store lots of times. I would definitely recommend Tony for all of your needs and I will definitely be going back for a new tv stand and end tables soon! Get in now while their anniversary sale is going on and take advantage of the great prices.

No starts.. Had Very bad experience at this location, had picked out a bedroom set, then saw some dining chairs on clearance ask if they where sold separately Sales man stated yes, he confirmes with Manager he states can't be sold separately, even tho no where in the paper states that they cant be. So why have the price of each item separately if you have to buy the set.. Then the Manager George starts to tell the Sales man his messing up , how can you tell your employee that, at least he should of waited until we had left. you dont appreciate your employees.. unfortunately we had to walk out.

10,000 reasons I will never shop at Ashley furniture again! 5 months ago I ordered $10,000 of furniture and I am still waiting for the drawers to my bed as well as the chairs to my dining room table. Via LinkedIn, I contacted Wes Dudley "Customer Care Executive " who gave me a worthless customer care phone number. They literally never return my calls! Do not shop at Ashley furniture unless you want to spend months trying to get them to deliver on what they promised. Nightmare! Shame on you Ashley Furniture!

Buyer beware. After spending thousands on what we were told couches that wouldn’t peel (faux leather) at all they did, and only after a few years. This is not a great place to get furniture that you hope to have and hold it’s quality unfortunately. Staff was friendly but feel I was pushed into a purchase of something they knew would surly be discontinued because overall quality is not there.

It was all great, except for long delivery wait and mistake at checkout. Otherwise, the staff was nice and helpful. Merchandise selection was nice as well.

Sadly, our experience with Ashley left us in the lurch with no care or concern to follow through with the services they initially promised. We recently purchased a new tempur pedic mattress and power base, with the understanding that we would also be getting their acclaimed “White Glove service” - the installation of our new products and removal of our old mattress and box springs. We didn’t waste any time with the team at the time of purchase since we knew what we wanted before we came into the store. The team was friendly, however hands went into the air when it came time to be responsible for the promises and services they said they would provide - and that we paid for to be done. Not only was the order split into two separate deliveries (not by choice), but one delivery was 2 weeks late. All told it took 34 days to receive our entire order after the time of purchase. Unbelievable. And then the “White Glove service” was a joke. Two shabby looking delivery guys each time, barely professional, and rather annoyed by any requests that we had. One of the guys asked me to handle the heavy bed with him because his partner was at the truck. I told him I couldn’t because of a bad back and a surgery I had and he rolled his eyes at me before just doing the whole lift himself. When it came time to remove the old mattresses, they said they couldn’t do it because of “health reasons” but of course were willing to take the box springs (in theory probably to sell for some extra cash). We also called the service center, the customer care hotline, and tried speaking to several managers, plus our “Mattress Specialist” who all took no responsibility for any of this and told us “sorry, there’s nothing we can do”. When asked to help, Ashley left us with poor service and still an old mattress sitting in our bedroom. Needless to say, I will not be recommending them to anyone nor will I be shopping there again. Less than 1 star at best.

Visited the Ashley store in Vernon Hills and found the best selection at reasonable prices in the area. Other furniture stores that were cheaper had less selection and the quality was much lower. The stores that had the same or better quality where 2 to 3 times more expensive.

Worst experience with the store. Ordered bedroom set in Nov 2020 and I was told that expected delivery date will be Jan 1st week which was postponed to Jan 2nd week and then end of Jan. While checking in Jan end, I was told that it will be delivered to store by Feb 6th and they will call me to setup delivery. I was informed on every call after Jan 2nd week that only bed rails are pending which is expected to be delivered by Feb 6th. I got the same update in written also on email that everything is delivered and they are waiting for bed rails only. Due to all these delays I kept searching on other stores also and found the same Dresser & night stand from Amazon which I ordered and got delivered in 2 days. Once delivered, I cancelled partial order as it was already delivered to me by another store but bed was still pending. There was no update on Feb 6th and I visited store to check status on Feb 7th. I was surprised to hear that my order was now postponed to March and instead of just bed rails now footboard was also showing as not received which clearly means that my order was given to someone else. This is really disappointing to get such service from a reputed store. There was no update from store on anything and every time I had to call store for status update and as soon as I cancelled partial order, they gave my order to someone else and moved me back again. Worst experience. Will never recommend to anyone.

Great customer service stayed open so that i could complete my purchase

I would have given no stars if they would allow! Bought a living room set back in November. Sofa took 3 months to get delivered. It’s now going on 4 months and still haven’t received our 2 reclining chairs and 2 end tables. Called them today and their telling me it’s going to be another month for the remaining items. The original purchase date was 1st Saturday in November and they told us everything will be delivered before end of December and it’s on the purchase order as well. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING ASHLEY FURNITURE UNLESS YOU HAVE NOTHING BUT TIME TO WASTE TO WAIT FOR DELIVERY AND OR WAITING ON HOLD FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME WHEN CALLING THEM! What a joke of a company! Tried to cancel the rest of order and they want to charge me restocking fee. How can you charge a restocking fee if the furniture is not even made yet! If furniture is not delivered by the last date given then I will be reporting them to the BBB!

We purchased a reclining sofa and love seat on Nov. 5th. The salesman said he would call us weekly to let us know about delivery that he would put 90days on the paperwork but it is not taking that long. As of today he has not called once. I’ve called several times, been hung up on, no one would come back from hold and that’s even if the phone was answered. Starting combing through the paperwork and on one it says January and another says 90days. I finally got ahold of someone and they are telling me the end of March. Meanwhile the same set is on the app saying they can deliver in as little as 6 weeks. No one has been willing to help, I was OK with 90 days but now it seems like a whole lotta fluff and it keeps changing with oh well you know covid. If covid was such a problem we should have been notified of delays. ***Update- it is now March 2nd and although I have a couple of emails from the escalation team there still has been nothing done. Oh we are also well past our 90 days.

They was very helpful in processing the furniture that I had wanted online in the store but the only thing I didn't like was how long the delivery takes cause I need furniture now so I can be comfortable at my home that's why went in the store & had an appointment

We were just looking for a new couch and decided to hit up Ashley. Being previous customers we knew that some of their merchandise met our style. Well, walking in the door we were treated by a very non-pushy woman who helped us find, not only the perfect couch and loveseat, but coffee table and rug. We miss the days of entire room sets, mostly because we can’t ever find anything that matches or goes together. Interior design is not our area of expertise. Needless to say, we are very happy with Ashley and will continue to shop there for all of our furniture needs (not that we have many, but you never know).

First time purchasing at Ashley's and it was a good experience. Will return later to find more furniture for our new home.

I would not recommend shopping here for furniture unless you want an incredibly salesy experience. My fiance and I just purchased our first home and we decided to come in to look at bedroom sets and mattresses. We were greeted by a salesperson and told him we were just going to look around. A few minutes later, after not finding any furniture we liked, we were in the mattress area. A nice lady came to greet us and ask how we were doing. Moments later, the initial salesman came chasing her down and said 'what are you doing? I am helping them.' This was right in front of us, and was totally awkward. After telling the sales manager and sales person that we are interested in a pillow top mattress, they brought us directly over to a $4,000 tempur-pedic mattress, which was not a brand that we said we liked and far over our budget. They did a dual sales pitch to my fiance and I and it was uncomfortable. They even asked how much our car payments were, because they told us we should consider paying more for our mattress monthly because we spend way more time in our bed than in our car. We overheard the sales manager saying that he needed to know where everyone is at all times and felt demanding. Nothing here landed well. It felt like we were being sold into something we didn't want and just a stuffy sales environment. I would recommend coaching much differently on selling to customers.

Great experience. Great prices. Great service! We had been to 6 other stores looking for a couch our entire family all agreed on and we found one here. We got a great discount for the sale that day. And we scheduled our delivery for less than a month out; all other stores were quoting 3-5 month wait times. This is by far one of the best experiences we all have had shopping. We will return again, to this store specifically.

Don't bother ordering anything. They will give you a date then ZERO communication until you call their call center. Then its constant delays of 3-4 weeks then after that it's been delayed another month. No one will answer the phone at the store and you will get different answers from everyone at their useless call center.

First time in store and was extremely impressed with the variety and quality of furniture. I was approached by salesman Tim and he jumped in and helped me find what I was looking for right away. I joked with him saying this had to be the fastest sale he ever took care of. He took the time and went over all the specs. I would definitely recommend Ashley furniture to anyone.

*UPDATE* After being told for months we can not have our sectional delivered until all the pieces were in, we FINALLY got a delivery date. Last monday, HALF of our couch showed up!!!! are you kidding me????? 3 of six pieces. I am so over this store. Bought a sectional back in September. We were told and completely understood that delivery would be delayed due to Covid. I had called to ask a couple of questions a couple weeks later and was surprised when they told me my furniture was set to be delivered around october 12th!! all i had to do was call and schedule delivery. When i called on 10/12, i was told, that only part of my order was in, but the other pieces would be available 10/20,10/22/ and 10/24, so i was told to call back on the 24th to set up delivery. On the 25th i called and was told not only was my furniture no available, but it was still be mainufactured.......IN GERMANY. The next day, being so confused, i called back and was told, no in fact 4 of the six where in a factory just north of where i live, and two where at the distribution Wearhouse. That the only thing i couldnt get until january was my ottoman. FINE! excellent, i asked when should i expect delivery? I was told 11/3,11/6, or 11/18 depending on when everything got to wearhouse. On 11/26th i called and was told December 3.....do you see a pattern here? I just hung up and was not told December 21st. $4000 for a couch, and i can not get a straight answer from ANYONE!!! i actually called twice in one day, just to see what would happen, and both times was given different information!!! Not to mention, wait time to talk to anyone ranges from 20-35minutes.....of listening to them so how wonderful they are at customer service

To anyone thinking of buying furniture run as fast as you can from Ashley Furniture. We ordered a couch and a chair in mid-June and were originally told to expect delivery in August. Delay after delay ensued. By late November, still nothing. During this time we called &"Customer Service &" more times than I can count and each encounter resulted in various excuses and anticipated delivery dates, none of which ever happened. Finally in frustration we found replacement furniture at Steinhafels and ordered it. Amazingly it was delivered on the day they promised. This story wasn&'t over yet. I then contacted &"Customer Service &" at Ashley to begin the process of canceling my order. This resulted in 3+ hours of phone calls and being hung up on 3 times. I was very calm and non-confrontational and just wanted to secure our refund. A nice Ashley person in Tennessee told me that to make sure this credit went through we should go to the store where we purchased our furniture. After calling the store 15-20 times and having no one pick up, we drove 40 miles to the store in Lombard and spoke to the Manager to assure our cancellation and refund would actually happen. Astonishingly I got a call later that night from someone at Ashley asking what they could do to save this sale. Could they deliver the couch in 5 days and offer a discount? This is something they should have done without all of the histrionics. It took more than 3 weeks for the credit to finally show up on my bank statement. During this entire escapade I found it amusing that whenever I would call Ashley their recording would say, &"this call is being recorded for training purposes.&" If this is how they train their people, stay as far away as you can. If you want good quality furniture and people who do what they say, go to Steinhafels. BTW-you have to give at least one star before your review can be posted. I&'d prefer a ZERO star rating.

I ordered a 3 piece couch in September. I was told it would be a longer wait to get it delivered because of covid. This is fine and all, I eventually get told it would be delivered mid November, they come and only have 2 of the pieces and said they "forgot to notify me of this". This is fine things happen, I was then told the 3rd piece would be delivered November 23rd. I call to check in because I have not heard anything and they tell me the one piece won't be here until next month and they forgot to call me to tell me of this. They have done nothing to try to fix or accommodate this issue. It wouldn't be a big deal if it only happened once but it happened twice. My couch is still not assembled and cannot be because the piece missing is the middle that connect the two. Edit: I already contacted that email prior to your response. I have not heard anything back

Jenn any George are both very knowledgeable and friendly. They spend all the time they needed with me. Very clean and sharp looking store. They also have some very handsome products on showcase. What I believe is lacking is the number of associates to assist all potential buyers.

Loved the attention to my needs, everyone were very helpful. Very happy with our purchase.

Ordered my furniture on September 3rd 2020 with a estimated delivery date on September 29th 2020. The papers we got with our purchase promised that we would receive updates about our delivery pretty often. But let me tell you TILL THIS DAY nov 21, I have not received a call from them without me emailing them complaining. They pushed back the delivery date countless times, it&'s impossible to get a hold of anyone there via phone call, and they straight up keep lying to me everytime I do talk to them. Even worse is that they don&'t accommodate anyone for being this late. Last time I spoke to them the new estimated date is January. Only reason I&'m posting this is so I can talk to anyone that works there

Staff at the store were very nice and were helpful with answering our questions but that&'s where the help ends. They were very nice and pleasant and patient. Wait times much longer than initially reported (I understand they are estimates but 3x the estimated time is insulting and clearly a function of a poorly organized company that can&'t even estimate its inventory).When we did receive a partial shipment, the items were damaged. One item clearly had been attempted to be repaired with glue and then was delivered to us despite very clearly being damaged and the delivery team deliberately placed it in our house in a way that the damage was against a wall despite it being on the front of the item. The other items in the shipment had photos taken for evidence of delivery. The damaged piece did not. I wonder whyCustomer service has been horrible to work with. Every time I call I am on hold for minimum 15 minutes and then promised resolution that has yet to materialize. Don&'t order from this company. It will be months til you receive anything and it&'s likely to be damaged. Edit: I contacted the email address as below and have yet to here back. I suspect they respond to every inquiry to appear to be interested in resolving the issue but just ignore all emails.

This review might be premature since the bed mattress I ordered has yet to be be delivered. My review was based on the customer service that the salesperson provided for us on 11/16/20. Tim Robinson was extremely helpful and very patient with us as we needed more time in choosing the right mattress and to pick a study table for my 15 year old who is very picky. Tim took the time to show us different items and price points online and in the store. We ended up purchasing a queen size bed only. I sure hope Ashley Furniture will live to my expectation. Reading other customers’ reviews had made me nervous about my purchase...

We had a delivery scheduled for Oct 31st and that delivery never came, then it was pushed to Nov 2, then Nov 7. We were not even given notification on the delays, we only found out after we went back to the store to find out what was going on. We were told our delivery was at the warehouse but being taken off the truck because they are overbooking their deliveries. They rescheduled again for Nov 16 in the morning. They have now rescheduled again for Nov 16 in the afternoon, and when I called just now to find out which delivery window it will end up being, the customer service rep hung up on me. Getting our furniture actually delivered has been a complete mess. If it gets rescheduled again, we will just cancel our order and take our business elsewhere. I don't recommend ordering from here until they get their delivery situation fixed. Update: Only half our expected delivery arrived today and the one thing that was delivered was so poorly built (crooked) we couldn't accept it and had them take it back.

If you MUST buy from Ashley, please skip this location and go to the Orland Park location--ask for James. This is our 2nd bad Ashley experience. After moving close to this store, thought I would give it another go. My mistake! Though my salesperson was "nice"--at Ashley, it is all about the customer having to jump through hoops to get furniture--not the other way around, as it should be. They act like THEY are dong YOU a favor by allowing you to buy furniture even though YOU are the customer. I had to go back to get a discount that was starting a few days after my visit--instead of letting me call and finalize my order--NO, I had to do spend my day off going back. THEN, my salesperson was not available. Still, I wanted to be nice (why??), and give him the credit, so someone else did me a "huge favor" and wrote my order up. I had a store credit from yet another poor Ashley experience, and they said it would be applied, and my new dresser delivered on 11/5. On Nov 5, nothing arrived of course! I called the store on Nov 9--yep, no answer. (When you call an Ashley store, universally, the phone does not connect to the store. Believe me, I have tried!) Luckily, I had my salesperson's cell, and got in touch with him. Turns out he never put the order in! So, if I am fortunate, I will get the dresser on 11/19. I guess I am so very lucky to be "honored" with a piece from Ashley--no matter when I get it. NOPE. Never, ever again. I will probably just use Wayfair--great products and far, far superior customer service--THEY realize that YOU are the customer, and the reason they are employed. We went in to the store during their Labor Day sales. We ordered a bedroom set, dining room table/chairs, and kitchen table/chairs. We were told they would be in the warehouse early October and would be delivered shortly after. Great! Since we were moving late October. Around October 10th, I called to get an update, and the customer service man said I will receive most of my furniture on October 23rd and the last two pieces on the 26th. A little late, but fine. Now it’s October 22nd and I haven’t heard from anyone at all. I call for an update and they tell me it won’t be delivered until the 31st and the last two pieces won’t be in stock until late November. WHY WAS I NEVER INFORMED OF THIS. I never once had someone from the store contact me about a delivery delay. I called every single day for an update. Meanwhile, we were living out of suitcases and eating on the counter. I was eventually able to get the majority of my furniture on October 27th. They delivered my dining room table/chairs and bedroom set (minus the nightstands). They delivery service starts putting together the bed, and he tells me they did not have hardware in the box! There was no way they could put the bed back together. I spoke with someone on the phone who said they would deliver a replacement piece within a week. 100% guaranteed. Very frustrated but fine since she guaranteed it. I call the next day, and they tell me it will be delivered in a week and a half. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GUARANTEE?! Whomever I spoke with on the phone on the 27th very clearly LIED to me. I continue to call every day for an update. They tell me my kitchen table/chairs and replacement bed piece will be delivered November 6th and the nightstands are now expected... MID DECEMBER! Seriously!! I spent thousands of dollars on furniture and was treated horribly. I understand there is a delay due to COVID, but UPDATE YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! Also, don&'t provide customers with FALSE delivery date estimates!I spent hours and hours on the phone with them. Mind you, it takes 20-30 minutes just to reach a representative. I want some sort of compensation because this was all just ridiculous. The only positive was that the delivery men were quick and easy.

Well, today is Nov 4th and I have not recived any calls or emails for shipping updates. So I call and sure enough my furniture will not be delivered today, thanks for letting me know!!! Unbelievable. Never shopping here again

This store has potential to do well if they would only answer their phone. I understand that there are delays due to the COVID however the sales person for my order never followed up with me. I cannot judge this store for ALL the salespeople there and I will notify the management regarding my sales person who received commission. My order for living room set has been delayed three times since July and I had to drive 20 minutes there to find out the status of my order. I work full time as a teacher and this is not fair to me as a customer. This store has beautiful furniture and if they improved on some of their sales staff and answered their phone, I would gladly give this store 5 stars.

We purchased furniture back in June. The store had no idea when our furniture would arrive at our home. After much frustration and dishonesty coming from the sales staff and management we decided to receive a refund. They refunded one of our orders almost 2 months later. We’re still waiting on a refund over $2,600 and they just keep giving us the run around. Trisha in customer relations has given us different answers every time we come in to get help with the matter and she’s always irritated and visibly angry when we come here. She’s refused to help us before without getting help from George the sales manager. We’re now 56 days down without a refund and going on 2 months. I understand that a pandemic can bottleneck supply chain but there’s no reason anyone should have to wait this long for a refund. They still have no idea where our money is and when we can receive it or how we’ll go about getting it. Worst experience I’ve ever had with any store period.

Jenni from the Ashley Home store in Vernon Hills was friendly and extremely helpful in helping me pick out items for my new apartment. Although the company no longer had the couch I wanted in stock, Jenni was able to help me pick out all the additional items such as end tables and accessories. The store itself has a wide variety and a lot of cute items. The furniture doesn’t feel cheap unlike some other places I visited. I especially love that Ashley furniture sells end table/coffee table sets, which helped me save on my budget. You can also find good sales happening throughout the year. Overall, great experience.

Run as fast as you can away from this Vernon Hills store. First, The got the wrong color for my sectional. Second, the customer service manager is not assistive and rude. Third, due to these delays my sectional, which was ordered 10/3 is not not coming until after the new year

My daughter ordered a tv stand back in September. It was going to be a housewarming gift from me. One week later, she found something else that she could get right away. I tried calling the store numerous times but no one ever answered. I called another customer service number and waited 45 minutes until someone answered and assured me the order would be cancelled and I would get my money back within 7-10 business days. They could not supply any kind of confirmation of the cancellation. In October, My daughter received a text stating her furniture was ready for delivery. I called again trying to talk to someone. Again the store never answered. Tried the customer service number again. Someone picked up after 20 minutes on hold. She told me she would have someone help me. After 15 minutes on hold I got disconnected. I called back and chose the option to leave my number for a call back. (I never received a call back) I then tried using the messaging on the website. No luck there either. Finally, I decided to drive out of my way to go to the Geneva store which was the closest to me. I had to go to the customer service counter and personally talk to someone there before I could get any kind of result. I received an email that day stating they cancelled the order. I am still waiting for the refund. To conclude, I just wasted 2 hours of my day to get something simple done. Your store is customer based and during these times I would assume you would want to be sure your customers are happy and taken care of. If your stores are fully open, your customer service should be fully operational also. Unless you want terrible customer service, I would hesitate buying anything from Ashley furniture.

Shopping was easy and convenient; the sales person was knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Shannon helped us find furniture during these crazy times, she was very knowledgeable and extremely patient and sweet! We most definitely will be back to finish furnishing our new home!
