Ian is the man if you are looking for a couch. His store manager also stepped in to make sure we got everything we wanted. They made it happen for us to leave with what we came in to look at. Would 110% recommend this location as well due to the vast amount of furniture & space. A couch for everyone that is serious about furniture shopping.

I did not read the reviews or check the Better Business Bureau site before shopping at Ashley Furniture. It’s a terrible establishment. I hope you do your due diligence before opening their doors. Their business ethics are horrific. Of course , this is my opinion. Here are my facts. I purchased 11K worth of furniture. Not a small sale. JAY sat on a stool in front of a computer and said I was one of the LUCKY ones. Everything was there. They would call in 7-10 days to schedule delivery. That worked since I purchased bedroom furniture. Well, no call. I called and JAY said he indeed saw the furniture there when I was in but corporate can change that. He would need to call me back with a delivery date. Again, I call to find out the order won’t be in Until at least the end of November. Jay states the mattresses are here, “ I could get those to you.” The next day I called to schedule the mattress delivery so sleeping can occur at least on a mattress on the floor. JAY had suggested putting the mattresses on garbage bags. Now, Jay wants another 348.00 to deliver the bedding. It would be 2 deliveries. Another delivery fee after I spent 11K and I was told nothing but a lie onThe day of the purchase. JAY showed his true colors on the phone stating you can’t have your money back. Your receipt is a signed contract. On the back of the receipt it states all sales final. He wouldn’t let me get a word in. What business would have these policies and not be an open book concerning the all sales final policy at purchase. It’s just customer service. Consumers beware!! Please don’t shop here without reading the lowest reviews that are hidden. If you have had a bad experience and hundreds have, issue a complaint to the attorney general via email. There are more good people and businesses out there. Support local businesses and stay away from Ashley Furniture. I’m still waiting on a call from management. I would guess he is not calling since he mostly likely trains his staff on business ethics.

Shout out to Steve Reid in the Ashley Homestore Fort Wayne for taking on a problem he had no part or commission for . I have been a long time customer of Ashley Furniture in Mishawaka . However this last trip to this location will be my last . I purchased a room full of furniture on August 15 2020. I was told 3 months for my order due to pandemic things were taking a bit longer . When I arrived home after my order I realized a 400 item was not ordered . I called and reordered that with The salesman Matthew . On Nov 9th I called the store inquiring about my furniture and when it would be arriving . Hoping before Thanksgiving . I was told in writing that 3 pieces were missing still hopefully soon . I called back again Dec1 hoping again before Christmas . I realized on the order one piece was ordered with power recliner and 1 was not . Again paid more money to fix that error. I again said when is this order coming ? He said in writing Shouldn’t be any longer than Jan .Feb at the latest . But no promises . Come March 7 months later I called to talk to the owner. No one should wait 7 almost 8 months for a room replacement of furniture when they said 3 months . The Mishawaka store told me the owner doesn’t take phone calls would I like to talk to the manager . Concidering the managers was my salesman ( who was very helpful on the sale of the furniture ) but already two mistakes on my order and I was lost at what to do next on my patience waiting to get my furniture. I called FW for advice to see what and if they had any advice on why to do . That’s where Steve Reid took over . Not only did he help me figure out where my furniture was he made multiple calls and concerns on following through until I finally received my order on Sat March 20,2021. Had he not helped who knows if today I would be finally sitting on my furniture. To all sales people out there this message is for you . It is not only being top sales person it’s the follow through that brings a customer back. If an order is delayed call your customer and let them know . The customer shouldn’t have to keep calling you . I get it things happen beyond anyone’s control but it’s the caring that matters . And it’s the caring that will bring the customer back to your store someday. Or the one who will make you dislike a place and go somewhere else because you didn’t really matter . You got the sale so whenever you get the product oh well . That’s how I felt. And if you make a mistake on someone’s order you eat the cost . I was explicit on my purchase at the time of our sale of my needs . Rushing causes errors . Ones that I later came home and caught . If you wanted me to return a simple apology even would if been kind . So again on a positive note without any x pay I want to than Steve Reid for the customer service I experienced even tho it was not his store or customer for making things right . My next purchase will definitely be through him and only him from here on out . Thank you

Travis was great to work with, but so many things have gone poorly with this furniture at this point that I cannot recommend this furniture store/company to anyone else ever again. To begin with, the prices are high. Do not buy unless it's on significant 'sale'. Even so I accepted this and figured that part of the high price was due to the fact that they assemble the furniture for you. That being said, I still expect high quality matching high price. So the trouble started with delivery, the delivery people wanted to assemble our new bed frame but not place our bed (purchased from Ashely about a 1-1.5 years prior) in it. I then felt that the 'lead' person was fishing for a tip which I honestly didn't mind so I offered the two of them $20 each to move the bed so that the new frame actually served a purpose (frame - bed = ?). Not an issue there, and we were okay for some time after until the 'lead' mentioned that he was in a hurry because they had one more house to do and they were taking their child trick-or-treating tonight. Understandable, but unnecessary to tell me and should not be an excuse for mistakes and poor work. They began bringing the bed frame and other furniture in and during that process the 'lead' hit the ceiling light in the hallway which I'd previously warned him about, resulting in it cracking the fixture and shattering the bulb. I told him no big deal, we would just replace the bulb and turn the fixture backwards so that it was not visible from the more frequented side of the hallway. Things went smoothly after this, minus another $20 each for them to fix the chairs we ordered a month or two before from Ashley furniture that were not level and wobbled very obviously. They eventually finished and left. They spent a very long time in the delivery truck at several points either assembling or attempting to repair damage to the furniture that we did not immediately notice (I assume). The top corner of our nightstand was damaged at some point as the wood has been shattered into layers. The only thing I can think of is some sort of impact or poor quality control during assembly as there is enough paint to hide the splits when looking from a distance, but up close you can see the substantial damage to it. There are nicks here and there on the furniture which, when paying the price we paid for everything, I expect it to arrive in flawless condition. This is new product, not used, and this is a single floor home with plenty of space so delivery should not have been an issue. In total we purchased a table + 2 chairs for the kitchen, 2 cabinets for the living room / area, a bed frame, 2 night stands, a vertical dresser, and a horizontal dresser. Every single piece has an issue, ranging from uneven assembly (clearly visible from a distance) to outright damage to the product. Doors and drawers do not line up properly, the coating on the table is uneven and has odd jagged flakes extending in places, assembly is inconsistent and to the point that it really needs to be redone, there's even nails stick out inside of the dressers that can cut and stab you, drawing blood, if you aren't mindful of them. I do not understand what I'm paying for when the assembly and even some of the initial construction of the materials is done poorly. The worst part of it all? All of this could have been avoided with proper quality control procedures and training of employees. I WANTED to like this store and I WANTED to keep Travis as my go-to furniture guy. But if this is what I can expect with every purchase then there is no reason for me to continue to purchase here instead of the many other places that sell furniture for the same price or less. In short: Buy with extreme caution and examine every single piece that you get THOROUGHLY. I thought I was being cautious, but there are some things that you simply wouldn't expect... hidden nails and painted over physical damage among them.

We will not be back. Overall terrible costumer service. I’m never one to write these reviews but this is worth voicing our opinion. After spending a lot of money and having multiple encounters that caused frustration, this store does not care that they provided such a bad experience. My husband and I needed a new bed and went in over Memorial weekend “the best weekend to buy a bed” according to them (even though we soon learned they can’t discount beds) We’ve never bought a bed before, so this was a new experience. The salesman, Mark, was very knowledgeable. We found that useful at first, then turned in to be overwhelming and avoided answering our questions by reverting to something that he did know. He withheld information on pricing until we said we wanted to take time to think about it and he freaked out because he didn’t want us to leave. He FINALLY told us about other pricing options. We found something that sounded like a better option for us. Still felt completely pressured but we did decide to buy our bed. The next stages of the process got worse. To help appease us, Mark said he could throw in the “nice” pillows worth $100 or give us in-store credit of $200. I wanted the in store credit. He kept saying “take the pillows” Mark then “talked to his manager” to make sure “no stone was left unturned”. All that came from that was him telling us the pillows were now actually worth $300 and the store credit was still $200. (Come to find out later that he wasn’t giving us a deal at all, that weekend sale said all beds come with pillows, so we got the standard deal and taken advantage of there.) So he stuck us with the pillows. We go to the service desk to finish the sale. He told us they don’t stock the bed, so it usually takes 2 weeks to come in. After 2 weeks, we setup silvery for another week after thy. Once we set up the delivery window, the time kept getting pushed back the entire day, we became the last stop which ended up being 9:45 at night. The two young guys weren’t shy about telling us we were there last stop and they were looking forward to going home. They brought our things in. Looked at the stairs and said they thought it’d be too small of a space to move stuff up there. We already moved 3 beds up there that were the same size as our new one. The delivery guys tried to move up the base for a total of 2 or 3 minutes, put it back down and said they couldn’t do it. So now what? One of the guys said they “had to call his boss”. I don’t think he even did. They said for liability reasons they couldn’t move up our bed. They said in order for them to take it back they’d charge us an absurd amount of our total bill we already paid! My husband called the store multiple times the next week. The first time my husband spoke the store manager who said he’d takes care of us. They kept saying they’d give us a call...which they never did. Finally after calling every day for 4 or 5 days, and a getting the reply of “there’s nothing they could do” even though the manager said they could. Eventually they set up a time for their “veteran crew” to come try to help us. After a week of our stuff sitting in our front entrance way, the guys came in and got everything up in about 4 or 5 minutes. The veteran crew apologized and said they’d give the other guys a hard time. now we finally got our beds. After 2 nights of sleeping, we discovered those $150 pillows were worthless. Completely flimsy, no support and gave me a painful head and ears when I woke up. After going to a different story to pay $100 in pillows, we called Ashley to see what they can do, including asking for our in-store credit they offered us before. My husband talked to one lady who said they’d call us back and also mentioned they don’t actually sell those pillows so they couldn’t refund us. One of the managers, Zach, who called back said there was nothing they could do since they were factory pillows.

I fell in love with a couch while at Ashley. The dimensions were clearly wrong, so the salesman did random math to tell me that the couch was 10 feet long. This was clearly not the case. He then complained about a “young worker not actually doing his job”, and looked to my mother to say “mom, you understand.” I felt blatantly disrespected. I then drove to my apartment in order to measure it to see if the couch would fit, then I brought my measuring tape back to the store to check the measurements. When I walked in with the measuring tape, the salesman seemed to almost roll his eyes at me. When I measured the couch, I was correct in my assumption that he was incorrect with his dimensions. This almost lost him a sale, as my wall was not 10 feet long, so the couch wouldn’t have fit otherwise. While checking out, we paid $100 to get it delivered. He said the estimated date was June 12. I asked the times, and he told me they delivered until 8 pm. So I said “great! I can have it delivered after work then?” He said “yes! They will call you later to schedule a date and time of delivery, but June 12th is estimated.” They called me June 9th to inform me that the estimated date was June 19th (Wednesday). When I asked a time, they told me they would call the day BEFORE in order to tell me a THREE HOUR time frame. I told them that I was under the impression I could choose a time, and she told me I could not but she would not do anything about it even though I was informed otherwise. If I wanted to choose a time, I would have to pay ANOTHER $100. I asked if they called Tuesday and told me a time for the following day that didn’t work for me, could I reschedule at that time? They told me that they would need 48 hours notice or I would be charged a fee. So basically, I would be given less than 24 hours notice, but I need to give them 48 hours notice. I also would’ve had to take an entire day off of work in order to be there. I then opted for them to deliver it on a Saturday instead. I called them the Friday before to ask for a time frame, and they told me 4:30-7:30. My niece’s birthday party was at 6:00, and she lives an hour away. I opted that this was okay because I could be late. When I called the delivery day in order to see if I could get a more narrow time frame, the representative informed me that there’s a way to track your order (something I had not been notified of before). When I checked, the ETA was 5, so I drove home to be there in time. When I got home at 4:50, the time got changed to 5:25. I was still content with this. At 5:45, I checked the ETA again, and it was then changed to 6:55. After checking again, it has been switched to 7:10. I am missing my niece’s 2nd birthday party because of misrepresentation on the salesperson’s behalf and because the tracking system was incorrect. The furniture is beautiful and decently priced, but the staff and misrepresentation have caused me great stress and unhappiness. I would not have purchased the $100 delivery charge had i been honestly informed that i would not be able to choose a time of delivery. I would have rather picked it up on my own. I would not recommend Ashley furniture to anybody. *update* Devonte and Alex delivered and set up the couch and were PHENOMENAL. They are the only reason that this review went from a 1 star to a 2 star. They made up for the awful customer service that I had prior to them. THANK YOU!

We have had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with Ashley Homestore. We purchased a new bed and a new bedframe at the end of March. It is now June and we are still dealing with getting the damaged bed frame fixed. At the time of purchase, the salesman told us about an option for 0% financing for 12 months, and assured us that it was NOT a credit card. Based on how it was described to us, we thought it was in-house financing. A few weeks later we received paperwork in the mail, and low and behold, it was the CREDIT CARD from TD Bank (the financial institution issuing the card). When we called Ashley Homestore, the original salesman and another worker both kept arguing with us that it’s not technically a credit card because you can’t swipe it at a cash register (are you kidding me??). I had even called TD Bank, and was told that yes it is a credit card. We also received another piece of mail later directly from Ashley Homestore calling it a credit card. All we ever got from the original salesman is that he was sorry for the “misunderstanding”. It was NOT a misunderstanding, we were completely lied to. Then, when the bed and bedframe were delivered, we noticed several dings/scratches on the headboard and footboard. Their solution was to schedule a pick up of the damaged items a week later, and we were promised that they would either be fixed or replaced. After the headboard and footboard were picked up, we never heard from Ashley Homestore, me and my husband had to call them multiple times to get updates. Eventually we were told that the headboard and footboard were ready but that there was no room on their schedule for the ONE day a week that they deliver to our area and were going to make us wait ANOTHER week. Eventually we got the headboard and footboard re-delivered almost THREE weeks after they took them away (I was initially told it would take a few days, maybe a week). After inspecting the bed, we noticed one spot that was not fixed and several NEW damaged areas. After I called Ashley Homestore once more, they told me to email them pictures of the damaged areas again and that they would call me back within a few days. They never called, I had to call about a week later, left a message, they STILL didn’t call back. I had to call again, they then told me they would send out a technician to our home to fix the damages. Now we are forced to wait another 2+ weeks for the technician. This entire process has been frustrating to say the least, and what makes it worse is the horrible customer service we have received. NO ONE has apologized for the lying about the credit card, the damaged items that we have received TWICE, the non-returned phone calls, the huge inconvenience the calling/emailing/scheduling has caused, or how we had to be without a bedframe that we fully paid for for almost 3 weeks. This horrendous experience has convinced us never to shop at Ashley Homestore again!

I have truly never been so dissatisfied. We paid quite a bit of money for a new sofa and table. The table still has not arrived and the sofa, once we got it home, was broken on the side. BEWARE when you pick it up from the warehouse. They load it in the vehicle. There is absolutely no way to inspect to ensure there is no damage and they never once asked us to. We arranged for pick up because we were moving. When we got it down to our new house we unwrapped and assembled only to find the sofa was bent and broken on its side most likely form them using a dolly to haul it. When I called Ashley I thought it would be okay. They girl gave me the repair phone number and ensured we would be in good hands and that we would not have to pay since it was covered under their warranty. To our shock, it wasn't. We now have to pay $80 to have someone come fix it OR bring it back to the warehouse which is not possible due to the fact that we rented the uhaul for only that day. After I hung up with the repairman my husband called because he found this to be unacceptable. The man hung up on him and would not answer his phone calls after. He was ridiculously rude and I cannot believe that Ashley would stand by an employee acting that way. No matter what customer service should always come first. Always. From there it felt like we called every employee, manager, sales manager on Monday (7/24/2017) no one would help us or return our calls. Called again on Tuesday, Wednesday, and will call again today. All times I was told the sales manager would call me back. Each time...no response, no call back. I love the couch and I am sure when I finally get the table I will love it to but I am beginning to wish I had never walked into the store and bought their products. They think because the generate revenue they can act however they wish but I certainly WON'T be returning nor would I recommend them. If they had at least attempted to make it right or even speak with me I probably would not have written the review but I have never been treated so poorly.

Buyer be aware that this location has a manager Named Travis who is sneaky & will say everything a customer will want to hear. Bought furniture for over $1500 around end of august. Since he matched the price on line. We then picked items from fort-wayne. We decided to purchase some more items. We bought desk/ rug/ coffee table. This man said it will be delivered WITHIN 2 weeks. With in 12 hrs we found out on line that I would received items within 72 hrs via on line. Called store spoke again with Manager Travis to cxl Oder as I had the right to cxl for his misleading sales tactics he uses & he assured that I will receive items rug/c/table before 17. order PALCED ON 09/09 . Today is 17th. Never received anything. Called the store. Hanna who is the female we encountered was so combative as id she was the women who sold & was there during the time of sale. Rude & need to be a back office paper girl or should find a new job. This further gave such horrible service. When after chase, spoke with Travis the manager, he came up with a new story said will get items for sure 25th when told we will cxl order & stop payment with our Bank. He again assured he will get it delivered 25th just cause he was going to loose sale. Again we thought we might give him a second chance. Before we hanged up, he said og btw we will get item in stock 25 & will have to deliver on Thursday cause that's when we usually deliver in your area with other ppls stuff. Why should I pay for delivery & wait for other ppl.. If I am paying & buying for my stuff why would he use my delivery funds & shove me with other ppl. This has been such a stressful buying with this man. I have bought furniture from High end stores & from Lima road Ashley which has nothing to do with Ashley furniture. The lima road is so upfront & tells you exactly the date/ time & doesn't glorify to make y ou feel good & close sale. The Jefferson road store is full of misleading, unprofessional & unethical ppl. Especially if the manager is such what can we expect from the team. Disgusting & the no one would let you speak t o an owner as each store is privately owned & managed. I have spent over 5k in Ashley furniture between 2 stores & defiantly never set foot in Jefferson store, even if that is the last store that Ashley furniture may own & operate. As a business owner, I value customers & understand somethings are out of control. Absolutely not trashing & treating customers like crap & misleading. No one in right frame of mind will wait a month to set their home office specially when we are conducting a new business. This second sale of mine, I was being helped by an older senior man, but Travis took over his sale as well. Very unethical man. I will not stop here. It may cost me more to what my items may cost me over $1000. But I will make sure this sales hungry ppl stop this misleading sales tactics.
