Very easy experience shopping at the Castello Ashley store. Not pressured by the sales people. Let us browse at our own pace without bothering us. Any questions we had was answered quickly & their very knowledgeable about their products. Only knock was delivery. We asked for a certain day but the scheduled instead for before we wanted it. Other than that we would definitely shop there again.

The selections available are very good. The pricing is deceptive. We went in knowing exactly what we wanted. We did our research, and we knew the online prices. The in-person sales techniques are very much like buying a used car. The pricing is cryptic. Our salesperson wanted to sell us a warranty for $849.00. We asked her to take that off the purchase. After doing so, it only reduced our cost by $100.00. What a scam! We could get a reduced price only if we purchased a warranty. We made our purchase, but we left feeling confused and exploited.

I always have a good experience at the Ashley Stores. The staff really works as a team, always pleasant, helpful, and patient. Malcolm Wayne (Castleton) was awesome and very knowledgeable. He made sure that I had enough info to make a decision between two sofas. He listens!!!!!

Mike was helpful in the process of our purchase. He was courteous knowledgeable and answered our calls asap. We would certainly recommend Mike based on our experience.

nice and friendly welcome, but then not too pushy when I said I just wanted to look around. The giant plush oversized corderoy chair is epic-- it's like queen size! there were some random things sitting around here and there.... stacks of couch cushions on a table, a rug randomly alone on the floor with no furniture around it... kinda looks like some projects in progress that were forgotten. not a big deal... my house is that way too. but it made the showrooms feel more like functional storage areas than designer spaces.

I wish I could give zero stars for this company. My recent experiences have been incredibly frustrating, and I feel compelled to share my story. I've been a loyal customer for years, but it seems quality and service have dramatically declined. Here are the main issues I encountered: Reaching customer service has been a nightmare. When I finally get through, it often feels like I'm speaking with someone overseas who doesn't understand my issues. My calls and messages go unanswered, and I rarely receive helpful responses. My last two deliveries were unacceptable. I had to refuse the furniture, but despite returning it, I have yet to receive my credit. This has left me feeling cheated. After disputing the charges with American Express, I received letters stating that I still owe money for the furniture from Ashley. I find it outrageous that I'm being threatened with collections for a credit that is rightfully mine. I've tried reaching out to the corporate office, went back to the store I bought the furniture from and even tried to visit the corporate office in person , but all I've received are more threatening letters and no response instead of any real help. They respond with this 1-800 number that they don’t answer and it’s a virtual assistant JOKES Overall, I am extremely disappointed with this company. The lack of accountability and support has made me rethink my loyalty. I strongly advise others to reconsider before purchasing furniture here.

ATTENTION BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION UNPROFESSIONAL AND FRAUDULENT ACTS!!!! I purchased a gallery canvas and it was supposed to be shipped to my home. Ashley furniture Castleton location sold my gallery canvas item to another customer a week ago as I was just told over the phone. The sales agent female then proceeded to be argumentative with me when I stated, "so you all just sold my canvas to someone else?" This store does not care about the customers or the service they receive. I reached out to Ashley in Castleton on Monday and asked if I could come pick up the canvas from the gallery floor myself since the shipping has been rescheduled three times now and the male sales agent said he would call me back and never did. I will never purchase from Ashley Castleton ever again. I have never received this type of unprofessional treatment from any furniture store ever. I have spent over $3,600.00 with Ashley online in the past month with no issue. I go into the store to purchase and no good customer service here. This is why stores loose customers and doors end up closing due to this type of mistreatment.

When I first walked in the store, several salespeople were sitting around a table on their phones & didn’t acknowledge me. When I asked if they were working Cayden jumped up and ask how he could help. If it wasn’t for him, I may have taken my business elsewhere. While I waited for my husband to meet me, Cayden showed me several options for the King size bed we were looking for. He discussed features and was very knowledgeable about the “type” of bed I was interested in. When my husband arrived we tested various mattresses and Cayden explained the differences in quality, etc. We ended up purchasing a new bed, mattress, etc. in part because of his friendly, professional, and personable customer service. Others could learn from Cayden!

I bought my coffee tables and dining room table from Ashley. They have lots of great options for every room in your home and excellent customer service.

I found a couch online I liked but really wanted to see it in person first. They didn't have the exact one but Malcolm Wayne was so awesome, he didn't push me to look at a bunch of other things, or upsell me on a different couch, he just helped me see the color and the feel by looking at a different one and because of him I bought it in the store instead of online. Still the same price! if you want someone who will help you, listen and not 'sales' guy you...ask for him!

Cayden was great to work with.

We recently ordered couches from Ashley's. We were not satisfied with how they felt after we received them. We called customer service and they offered an exchange. Devin, are sales guy was very patient with us as we tried a million couches and back again. He was never pushy, we never felt rushed. We have new couches being delivered in a week and they will even pick up the ones we were unhappy with. Very pleased with how they handled the situation!

The salesman, DJ, was very helpful, respectful and pleasant every single interaction we had with him. He and Devon only showed us the sets we requested and we're not pushy and that is rare when they are on commission.

Had an awesome experience! I went to Ashley on a day where it was cold and snowy out. The gentleman who helped me gave me a great deal on a chair and ottoman that fit my budget! Plus was able to get it delivered! Very happy with how the entire team helped me navigate the choice on furniture and will use them again in the future!

No negative comments. Everything went through very well. Smooth may be better choice of words. From the initial point of sale to your "white glove" delivery and set-up everything went well. And, I think your 'white glove giuys' enjoyed their generous tip.

I was greeted by all staff, they never pressured me to buy anything! The staff member who did help was very knowledgeable and I left with my purchase feeling that I made the right decision to purchase from Ashley Home!

Worst customer service. I sat down at a dining table waiting for an approach and no one even asked if I need anything. They all were laughing and socializing with each other.

A Black Manager (I wish that I had asked for his name) saw that we had not been helped came over & immediately set us up with one of his BEST Sales Rep, MIKE. Turned out my friend w/me knew Mike from his prior furniture purchase & a week earlier MIke had assisted my sister & her husband with their household needs. Needless to say because the manager took the time & introduced us to our FOREVER Sales Rep-MIKE, We had the BEST experience and purchased a Love Seat, Sofa, Round Table, Dresser and 2 bar stools. If you're looking for Quality Service (Ask for MIKE) & Quality furniture,, Stop by Ashley's Furniture!!!

Great selection and service!

I was disappointed that I had to wait a month and a half for my order. Finally I called and they said it would be another 20 days and the next day they called to schedule delivery so I don’t know what happened but I got the chair but not the one we ordered from the showroom. I decided not to do anything about it as I didn’t want to wait any longer. Will keep the chair that was delivered.

I feel that Emily went above and beyond to get the bed/mattress thar I wanted at the price that I wanted to pay. Not only will I return to Ashley for furniture but I will refer them to Emily.

I came to Ashley in search of a recliner. Emily Emerich couldn’t have been nicer, without being pushy. I’d never bought a recliner before, and had never bought anything from Ashley previously, either. But the quality of the pieces I looked at and Emily’s assistance in answering all my questions, made me feel very comfortable about my purchase. I can’t wait to get my new recliner!

The help with choosing the furniture was just fine but when I went to pay for everything the young lady did not mention that the protection plan was a cost of $1000 which was added to my bill. I then called her to speak with her about it and she was very short and said I have to call a 1-800 number to have it resolved. No apology or anything. She also had added an extra piece of furniture and when we were going through the order it was caught. But still nothing was mentioned about the $1000 protection plan that was added. I looked at my receipt after I left the store and realized it because if felt like o had paid too much. Hmmm. I did.

Alexa was friendly and helpful and helped me to make my final decision with ease. I was able to get what I needed and wanted and get out of the store quickly to go about the rest of my day. I have confidence that the delivery will go well and that the couch will be a good product.

ATTENTION. DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED AND HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANCE. This store location is very bad. The GREENWOOD location is a lot better. The greenwood location helped me as much as they could and were super kind annd friendly. Make the extra drive to greenwood. Avoid the castleton location at all costs!!!! The worst part of the situation is how rude the employees are. They are just interested in making commission and making a sale, if something goes wrong with your order THEY WILL NOT HELP. I was sold a recliner that I was falsely told was available. Moved around my holiday plans and travels to ensure I was present for delivery. Last minute was told it wasn’t going to arrive on time. $178 for delivery. I am also moving cities and in order to change the address you have to go in person and waste your time to get it changed when it could be handled by a phone call. Hard to get a whole of a representative that can help it’s all Bots. I was lied to multiple times about delivery dates which I find super concerning. As adults I would hope we can just be transparent, I think customers would appreciate that less. . All they could offer me is a 5% refund which is maybe $6. I still haven’t received by recliner either lol. Update they cannot ship the recliner to the new address even when I was talking to the sales associate they said they totally could. They need a lot more employee training and training modules. In my opinion, it feels like common sense: if I have a product I’ll sell it’s if I don’t have a product I cannot sell it otherwise it is stealing. Then they drag their feet about a refund. Very concerning Fast forward today. They wouldn’t let me speak to the manager even though I asked kindly. The sales manager talked to me and he became very heated. I tried to remain calm but clearly the topic is frustrating but he was VERY triggered. He started getting flustered and red. It was really strange tbh. I feel like as adults we should be able to work through conflict resolution. He was twice my age but still unable to do this! He should get a new job ASAP if he thinks it’s okay to speak to customers like that!

Dear Ashley, your Castleton store is in big trouble. The signs of a failing business are evident from 50 feet outside your front door. Anti- ice salt spread everywhere over otherwise ice and snow-free sidewalks. That same mixture spread 15-20 feet into the threadbare and dirty carpet. Employees sitting on a couch with their faces buried in their phones obviously annoyed at having been disturbed. We were greeted by a wonderful brand-new employee who had not even received her business cards yet but still provided outstanding service. One of the other employees was dressed like he was getting ready to go play hoops with some of his buddies. When I tried to pay for our barstools the system kept rejecting and denying my cards. The wonderful young woman named Emily must have had to enter 590 keystrokes on her ipad to try to do a simple sales transaction. (Note to CEO, COO, and headquarters staff - you may be able to find out the threadcount and individual loom where the fabric was produced in whatever third world country you use by using a couple of keystrokes from your office suite , BUT IF THE SALESPERSON CAN'T MAKE A SALE YOU DON'T MAKE MONEY AND YOU ARE GOING TO GO BELLY UP!!) Clean up your Castleton store, tell your emoloyees to dress like professionals and fix your communications!! PS, we like our new barstools but we almist walked out several times due to the BS qe had to endure.

Terrible customer service & protection plans.

My wife and I bought a LR & BR set that was reasonably priced. Our Salesman Carlos Finamore was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with us while we shopped around looking at different sets. What I was impressed about with him was that he was not ”pushy” and looking to close the deal like a Car Salesman. For a young man, I was extremely impressed with his poise and patience. Very pleased with our service. We shopped initially in early November but needed time to really decide. Our sales rep was awesome-no pressure. We came back at Thanksgiving and bought the set!

Jenn was truly great to work with. She went above and beyond to help us find what we were looking for. She even rearranged a sectional in the middle of the store to help us envision things better and to double verify the measurements to fit what we needed for our house!!! She was absolutely wonderful! It was a great experience. The 2 salesmen were nice and helpful. My only pros I was told White Glove delivery was free on Black Friday but when I read my receipt, I only had door to door delivery. I need it delivered in to my apartment. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

We had good service. I feel like you need a few more workers. They are very overloaded and trying to assist the customer, but we had a good person assisting us.

Very friendly salesperson. He showed all the top of the line furniture.BUT he did not advise me of the $1000 ptiection plan. DID not tell me the delivery fee would be $500 PLUS ANOTHER$300 because the truck was full on my delivery date so another delivery had to be done for the rest of my furniture. Had I been told that I would of waited for all my furniture to be delivered at 1 time. That's an extra $1800 I was charged without my knowledge!!!! When I called to discuss, he said he would adjust the pricing and email me a new receipt which I never got and no adjustments made. Very dissatisfied with Ashley furniture. I will not be returning. I have a whole new build 4000 Sq feet home to furnish and I will be going elsewhere.

Everything from the communication about the delivery date and timeframe was spot on and very appreciative. The delivery persons were friendly, professional, and efficient. They set up all of our furniture and had us look over everything and try it out before signing off on the delivery. We would recommend Ashley to family and friends!

Extremely unprofessional and disorganized. The rep at the store, Cayden, was very nice. We purchased two couches and a chair in person and they charged our credit card the $1850 on the spot, promising delivery a week later. I got a printed and emailed receipt showing the charge and date. The charge also immediately showed on my credit card. It took 45 minutes for them to place the order, charge my card and give me the receipt. We were clear that we were hosting Thanksgiving and needed the furniture delivered beforehand. They said they understood and that the delivery time was set. I called the morning of the delivery to get a time window and am told that the delivery order was never placed because I never paid for it. I showed them the receipt and confirmation and they got audibly confused and were unable to explain the discrepancy. They had to escalate it to their "audit team" which may take a week or more for a response. They can't even cancel the order and refund me until the audit ticket is completed. So not only do I not have the furniture for the holiday, I can't even cancel the order to get a refund. I really wish I had read the reviews on this one. Look at how many of the good reviews are people walking around the store versus all the bad ones are actual purchases. Something is really off about this place in general.

Great place to shoe for things for home

I went to this Ashley location a few days ago and the service was very disappointing. The store wasn't busy at all, there were a few salesmen standing at the service desk and one sales person made it clear he was not going to stick around while I was shopping. He just pointed me in the direction where I needed to go, and I found myself having to look around for someone to help me when I needed help. In contrast, I have been to Godby twice, also during non-busy times and they were very welcoming. They stayed with me and helped me compare different options. I need items from both stores so I will have to go and try a different Ashley location.

Malcom introduced himself and helped us get started on the paper work, even spoke Spanish to my mom. It’s her first language he went above and beyond. Showed us the bells and whistle on a couch set, verified with her about the color she wanted even got us water. Thank you again Malcom and happy birthday !!!! Malcom deserves a Raise

I waited over 30 minutes before someone even acknowledged me which was frustrating. I understand they were busy but a simple we will be with in a moment would have been nice. I honestly should have left. Once someone helped me the experience was great.

NEVER AGAIN!!! Purchased power recliners from Ashley Furniture Castleton location about 2.5 years ago. One of the recliners stopped working. I have a warranty for 5 years on parts (not labor). I Spent 3 hours on the phone with customer service trying to get them to replace defective parts and I was happy to pay the labor, but they were not helpful. I went to the Castleton store and spoke with the manager. He just gave me the customer service phone number and refused to help any further.

I requested a cancellation of my order with less than 24hours of my purchase. I even went to the store where I did the purchase and no one cancelled and now I received the product. Really disappointing customer experience.

Read before buying. Spent over $2,000 on a couch. Paid over $300 for “white glove delivery” and got a damaged couch. The delivery man so no worry a technician would come out and clean/repair the couch and if not they would replace the section that was damaged. He said I would get a call next day to schedule a time. No one called. I called and got someone who said they would schedule a time. A half a week later and heard nothing. I called today and no one had done anything. Now I’m being transferred around and trying to get a third person to help me. Terrible service and I feel like a clown for paying extra for it. Won’t be buying anything from Ashely again. A shame as we wanted to buy a $2,000 dining room table and $1,000 bed frame from them. They lost that opportunity.

My friend got a table from here over a month ago and the delivery was impeccable they even put it together for us, but…. he had told us that it was damaged when it was delivered to their warehouse. We had called the lady at customer service that same day and she had told us there will be someone coming in the next day or two to inspect it and see if it needs to be repaired or replaced. No one came she had called again the day someone was supposed to come and was told the same thing, that there will be someone coming soon. It now has been 5 weeks and the broken table is still here. Very bad customer service.

We kind of knew the bedframe that we wanted, however, the additional insight, maintenance, and warranty explanations were above beyond. We were completely satisfied with our purchase.

I am very disappointed with my furniture shopping experience with Ashley Furniture. The process seemed disorganized as I was not able to get all the items delivered to my home despite paying $270 for delivery. I bought a couch, area rug, and coffee table and they only delivered the couch and sent the other items through UPS. I was assured by the store rep that I would have the table and couch delivered together despite the delivery department informing me ahead of time that they wouldn’t be bringing the table. To my disappointment, the couch was delivered with no table and now I am told it will take 2-3 weeks for the table to be delivered via UPS/Fedex. At which point I will possibly have to assemble and hopefully will be strong enough to get it into my home by myself. Very displeased with the service after spending $3,700 with this company.

I had a great shopping experience with a guided tour of what I needed and a fantastic sales guy who took me through the loan process etc. This was very impressive. This was in May of 2025. To date I have no had my full order completed. After calls and visits to the store I just get promises but no delivery. Do not go to Ashley furniture store in Castleton! They are thieves and liars! We spent over $5,000 on a living room and bedroom suite. We waited weeks for delivery, we received a text today saying half the order of a bed and sofa will come in ANOTHER month!!!! We asked, will there be an issue? They answered no , absolutely not, trust us, there will be no issues. I had a coworker tell me they waited months for their items claiming they were on back order, they said no we have a huge amount of stock, we will bring it all together on the day we stated. I am immediately contacting the better business bureau, contacting my credit card company to report fraud. They stated they would give me all that I paid for and now they're trying to say another month! I literally have cancer! I will have no bed or sofa! What shall I do?.sleep on my floor with a shattered immune system from chemotherapy!? They clearly do not care about customer service and are liars and theives! I will tell everyone, I wish I would have listened to my coworker but they assured me they have a huge surplus. You are thieves, Liars and as someone with stage 3 cancer I will have nowhere to sleep for a month! You are literally putting my life at risk and having me pay $5,000 to do it! What a disgusting and shameful way to treat your customers! Do not go here, they will steal and lie to you!

Updated 10/3/25 ….still haven’t sent me 2 pictures they promised to deliver to me. Not very ethical. Horrible in every way. They changed my credit card 2 times for the same purchase and it decreased my credit score by 42 points. Took them 3 weeks to charge back the duplicate. Wow! Salesman promised to deliver 2 pictures but never did. Delivery department is a total disaster. They really deserve a 1. Horrible service!!!

We received excellent service at the store, and the staff was very kind. However, we were given a delivery date that has not been honored. We have been waiting for our items for weeks, and we even received a message from Ashley confirming our order and the delivery for the agreed-upon date. Yet, just one day before the scheduled delivery, we received a call to change the date and were told it was the only option available. If you are not going to honor the delivery date, why offer one in the first place? I find it unfair that payment must be made immediately, but receiving my items is delayed, and on top of that, I’m given an excuse that does not match what was agreed upon when I made the purchase.

Yesterday we were delivered 3 beds and three mattresses. When buying in the store, the seller assured us that we do not need box springs, this was a good option for us, since we did not want to overpay. When the beds were delivered to us yesterday after assembly, they asked me where your boxes were? I told them in the store they said they are not needed for these beds. I called the support service, where they did not help me in any way, only I waited for 35 minutes, after which a representative from the store called me, who also could not help me in any way, since he does not have the authority to make any decisions. This morning they contacted me and said that for 3 boxes I need to pay $ 347.00 and delivery will be only on 09/03, which I did not agree with. I said that I would return the mattresses. They told me in the store that they cannot process a return and gave me a phone number for the support service, where no one answers, I waited for an answer for 25 minutes. This upset me very much, such an attitude towards the customer is unacceptable. This is my second purchase in this store and it seemed to me that it was a good store, but after my last experience, where the attitude towards the customer was absolutely indifferent, I am unlikely to return there. Worst customer service experience.

We brought a floor plan of our son’s apartment, and he was helpful in coordinating what would fit, ideas on how to best arrange the furniture and also added input, at our request, on color scheme so open areas would coordinate well. We met Cayden in an Indiana store and he was able to seamlessly coordinate an out of state delivery. Assuming delivery and set up goes well, our experience has been great.

If you’re looking for poor quality furniture and even worse customer service, look no further. I don’t even have enough time to write all the mishaps with our bed frame purchase from Ashley Furniture. I’m finally writing a review because we just removed our mattress from the frame and the slats are completely warped. No wonder I can’t sleep at night due to back pain. They sold us a floor model (without telling us we were getting the floor model) and refused to give us instructions to rebuild it. I found them online and we were clearly missing the middle support beam for our king size bed. They insist that there is no support rail, which I find outrageous for a king bed even if that’s true. The slats were warped so badly that our mattress has indents in the same exact spots now. Please, do yourselves a favor and shop elsewhere!

Cayden was super helpful and patient as I asked many questions (some more than once) and coordinated with a relative over the phone. I feel confident that I got maximum bang for my buck and will definitely return!

Looking for a mattress was a bit frustrating as they start at their top of line mattress First. Even though stating on a budget. Seemed like wasted time as Didn't find anything.

You should probably add at least a month and 500$ to the estimate they give you in-store. Don't let them pressure you into buying day-of, as it's not worth it: you'll just be backlogged for months on end waiting. Edit: below is a response from the "owner". Calling the number brings you to an automated line that did not help me. They then split my order into multiple deliveries without telling me, making us wait even longer before getting our furniture Edit 2: via texting the number you can find an actual representative which i thought was interesting. The only way you can verify it's an actual representative is that they made a mistake and fixed it live. They then hung up on me when I asked if there was any way to move the delivery date forward.

After chair shopping in 3 previous stores on this day, I felt relaxed entering the Ashley store at Castleton. I was not approached by anyone upon entering, which I appreciated. I came upon a chair I liked and Carlos appeared to assist me. It was a very easy and pleasant experience and I thought Carlos did an excellent job as the chair I selected, was only his second sale!

The salesperson was knowledgeable and helped us understand the new technology as it relates to mattresses. I did not like that the salesperson kept pointing out, “This is the price if you buy today.” Ashley was our first stop, and we wanted to comparison shop. UPDATE! After testing out the mattress at home for less than a week, we decided to switch from a firm to a medium mattress. (We are currently awaiting "approval"). Several times while in the store, our salesman told us the medium was not in stock and cost more than the firm. (I think he was trying to sell what he had in stock.) While investigating the medium, I see the price is actually less than the firm. In addition, the salesman attempted to sell us a $350 mattress cover, while online, the suggested cover is only $59.99. WARNING! Read the fine print: "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". I would personally stay away from any company that will not offer to return items that have technically not been slept on, since we had to purchase a protector to validate the warranty.

I was able to get a matching chair to some Ashley furniture I bought elsewhere and I was given a discount. Devin is a great salesman.

Malcolm was very helpful and understanding of our budget. He also was very patient with my disabled hubby as he has the beginning stages of Alzheimer's. Malcolm explained things quite a few times for hubby and didn't exclude him or be little him.

We went to look for a bunk bed and the representative was very helpful. He was looking up online to get us the best deal possible. He was friendly and answered all our questions. We probably will go back to get a living room couch very soon.

Delivery on time with great communication

My wife and I were on an informative search for a recliner. We had already been to two other furniture stores and Ashley’s was our final stop. Stephen led us to the recliners and we started sitting and evaluating multiple pieces. We liked the selections and paired down to our favorite. When you shop here, the prices you see are full prices and Stephen looked up the sale price. Were we surprised! The price we were quoted was so good that we ended up buying a second piece as well as another chair. With the sale prices, delivery, tax and extended warranty, our total was going to be much less than a singular item a competitor, We’re very pleased that we made the extra effort to go to Ashley’s.

I recently purchased a sectional couch from Ashley Furniture, and unfortunately, I’m very disappointed with the experience. The couch arrived with a visible cut mark on the fabric, which is extremely frustrating for a brand-new item. This kind of damage should have been caught during quality control or before delivery. To make matters worse, Ashley Furniture refused to repair or replace the damaged couch, simply because I didn’t add a warranty. I understand policies, but it’s unreasonable to deny responsibility for a manufacturing or delivery defect on a brand-new product. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience, and I do not recommend purchasing from Ashley Furniture based on the lack of quality control and poor customer service.

I purchased a store sample which was in good condition when I saw it in store. However, when loading it into my car, they loaded another piece from the warehouse, which had chips and cracks. I only saw it when I got home. I called the customer support for resolution, but they said they can’t do anything for clearance pieces.

Marco was extremely helpful. He was not overly aggressive or annoying, gave us guidance when we asked, answered questions and gave us adequate time to select our preferred choice and discuss our options amongst ourselves before making a final decision. He and the manager gave us a good and fair deal, and made excellent accommodations for delivery.

DO NOT purchase from Ashley. I bought a 3 drawer dresser that was delivered broken. It took a month for customer service to deliver 2 small drawer sliders for a technician to fix. The day of the fix, the technician cancels on me and Ashley reschedules a technician to come back out in TWO WEEKS. Ridiculous. In the meantime, the headboard of my bed is now leaning close to a 45 degree angle and putting stress on the frame. I’ve had this furniture for less than 3 months and 2 out of the 5 pieces are broken. Anyway I can return these pieces and take business elsewhere?

Great buying experience

Went to see if there were any clearance or marked down furniture and caught Mike’s attention. He let me know that everything in the store was on sale, and referred me to a couch that was in my budget. So far, so good. I asked about a few other items I might want with the couch I liked, and added those into the cart. Once we got to the financing and signing of documents, I asked twice throughout the sale if the 5-year protection was an add-on/extra or did it come included with the purchase? I was told it was included both times, in which I said “ok.” I saw the purchase order before payment and pointed out the protection on the bill and asked again if it was extra and was told about the benefits and that it was included. I would’ve considered adding the $200 protection to the $700 order, but I was not given the option to remove it by Mike at all during the interaction. I ended up signing and paying the down payment, and leaving tentatively satisfied. I double checked my receipt, and sure enough I was charged the $200 plan when that price was not discussed. Mike was nice enough during the interaction, but I felt uncomfortable about the protection and upselling practices. Overall I would recommend specifically asking to remove any and all protection if that’s something you don’t want to pay for. Left a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to shop in an Ashley’s store again.

Ashley’s has the WORST customer service. Please be warned if you have a complain they will ignore you. I ordered a lot of items one of them being a bed set. They only delivered the mirror, 2 dressers and night stand that has the most strong , irritating TOXIC smell.I could not imagine how my bedroom would smell when the entire set arrived. I requested them to please pick the 2 dressers and night stand because after wiping and opening windows for days the smell is so irritating we have had to move out from that room . I wish I had read reviews because I found out apparently they use FORMALDEHYDE 5 times higher than the required amount and it’s CARCINOGENIC. Now they won’t pick up the 2 dressers and night stand and I had to cancel all the other items that have not arrived yet due to poor customer service. The deliver person did not even take one of the dressers upstairs!! Poor service all around. I would like to reorder something that doesn’t use this kind of finishing but they might force me to go to a different store. My order was from the Castleton store, Indianapolis.

I completely believe it was damaged in delivery so I filled a claim and I’m waiting to hear back. Other than that I love my couch and the customer service in the store was amazing!

UPDATED to 1 star. Received a call from management who simply restated that they will not do a return or exchange of the product. Beware of poor customer service! After searching online and in store we chose to go through a salesperson, Jennifer, at the Ashley store. We chose this option as we prefer to work with a person rather than just order online. In hindsight, buyers should be aware that the store will not accept returns or exchanges, despite the online order policy being a 30 day return window. We had no issue with our order or delivery, but decided quickly that the color of our selected loveseat did not match our living room. We are more than willing to make an exchange and work with the store to replace the item. However, they refuse to discuss options, simply stating that once signed for, the order is final. The salesperson has since quit responding to messages, and we have yet to receive a promised call from management. It is confounding as to why the online store will work with buyers to get them the correct item for their home, while an in-person salesperson refuses to work to satisfy the customer. I rarely leave reviews, but customer service here is lacking.

I had a surprisingly good experience at Ashley today. They were able to price match a couch to the price I found on the internet. Do your homework! It pays off! I saved a TON of money. That aside, Marco and Malcolm were great to deal with. Buying furniture is already an unpleasant task, and those guys weren't vultures like I experienced at a couple other stores. Listen, not everyone can afford Kittles and Godby, but also want something nicer than Bob's or Value City can provide. If you're one of those people, check out Ashley and ask for one of the dudes I mentioned above!

I worked with Marco Espinoza to buy furniture for my parents, and I can definitely say that he was a man of his word when he told my mother the day before that he'll get us the best price possible, no matter what. He beat the Ashley price, the online price from a competitor with the same item, plus some, and he was very respectful and not pushy at all in the entire process. Definitely recommend you ask for him when you come to the Castleton location

The staff were extremely helpful but not overwhelming. They answered all of my questions and gave me a tailored experience, landing me a cheaper deal than I was expecting and a faster delivery date for my couch!

This location didn't have the huge furniture selection that their old Carmel location had, but it was OK. I like to browse stores without being hounded by sales personnel. After telling a few employees that I was only browsing, I was able to enjoy my visit without interruptions.

Beware! It was not disclosed at time of purchase that there are two options for delivery service. During our purchase process, they discussed a delivery charge, which we assumed was non-negotiable, however they did not make clear that there are two service options under the classification of "delivery charge". The service that they automatically apply to your bill is called the White Glove Delivery service which includes the moving and assembly of the furniture and is VERY PRICEY ($250 for our couch). The option they don't tell you about is the Door Step Delivery service which is completely free but does not include moving or assembly. Therefore, if you are capable and willing to carry the furniture inside your home from the porch and assemble it make sure you clarify you want the Door Step Delivery service at time of purchase. Had I known this was an option I would have chosen this.

Working with Ashley furniture has been a nightmare. We were supposed to receive our furniture a week ago. We received a few items today and are not receiving the rest for another two weeks. When the bed was delivered today, they knocked over a plant and chatted it. They also hit our sewing fan. You can’t call a location and talk to a manager. I keep on getting the runaround from everyone. Years previous I have not had these issues but now I don’t think I would ever purchase anything from them again.

Had a couch delivered to our brand new house and the delivery guy damaged our ceiling in 3 different places carrying it in. I contacted both the store and the number they gave me as soon as the delivery guy left. The response I received is they used a 3rd party delivery and it was on them. It was delivered and damaged on 3/20. I still have not heard back from either the store or delivery party on what they will do to fix the situation. Would give zero stars if I could. Will never do business with them again since no one wants to take responsibility.

When Ashley delivered our couch, they damaged the ceiling of our brand new home in three places. We called the store and Ashley’s Customer Care for help on day of delivery (March 20th) and we’ve still received no response or resolution. When something goes wrong, Ashley takes zero ownership of the issue. We had planned to spend a lot more with Ashley to fully furnish our new home but all future purchases will now go to a competitor based on this experience. Nobody at Ashley cares when they screw something up. Buyer beware.

UPDATE: On day 4 now. STILL NO CALL from the upper management as I was told. Don’t go to Salesman Mike or the Manager Austin. NO ONE has reached from this location. Went in to the location in Castleton just to browse as we are buying a new home. A salesman, Mike, came up to us. We advised we were just looking around for now to get an idea for our new house. He tells us about a new home buyers option where we can put a HOLD on some items WITHOUT it going on our card. We asked him THREE separate times if this was going to go on the card because we cannot make any big purchases at the moment. EVERY time he told us NO IT WOULDNT. I check my card half an hour later, lo and behold IT WAS ON THERE. He told us nothing was finalized so we wouldn’t be charged. And added items we didn’t ask for and pressured us into it. Bunch of lying STRAIGHT TO OUR FACES. The sales manager clearly doesn’t know how credit works either. He told us “it shouldn’t change your score. When you opened the card initially it’s ran. It won’t change.” Currently in the process of trying to cancel our order thanks to all the lies. I don’t recommend this location. I don’t recommend the sales guy. I don’t recommend the manager who doesn’t know how credit works. Currently waiting on a call from a higher up manager.

NO STAR…. BUYER BEWARE: I bought a $3000 couch. The delivery drivers damaged it and got it dirty when they delivered it. Ashley sent a technician out a month later to spray chemicals on it to clean it. The chemicals can make my couch smell, change color of the fabric, and soak into the couch cushions. They won’t replace the pieces that are damaged and dirty. The technician laughed and said the delivery drivers do this all the time. So if you don’t want damaged and dirty furniture do not buy from Ashley Furniture.

I went to Ashley looking for a new couch. I found just what I wanted with the help of Malcolm Wayne. I had a lot of questions and he answered everyone of them. I didn't feel pressured. I told him I was looking around different stores but asked for his business card. Needless to say, I couldn't find a better quality couch for a better deal. I returned about an hour later and bought a new couch! Malcolm was very personable and he made the purchasing process easy. I appreciate all of his help....I highly recommend! Thank You!

As a first-time homebuyer, my experience with Ashley Furniture has been nothing short of disappointing. I invested over $10,000 in furniture, only to face a series of frustrating issues from the start. To begin with, Ashley’s communication system was overwhelming, with their chatbot texting and calling relentlessly, sometimes placing orders for multiple delivery dates without clear explanations. Additionally, every representative I spoke with—whether in the office or on the phone—provided inconsistent and conflicting information, further complicating the entire process. When my master bedroom furniture arrived, I immediately noticed a significant issue: one of the drawers was stuck and wouldn’t slide out. Ashley’s response was frustrating, as they requested a photo of the malfunctioning drawer before proceeding with a claim—something that felt unnecessary and time-consuming. Fortunately, the situation was eventually escalated by a representative, and the issue was addressed. However, the problems didn’t stop there. Shortly after, I discovered that the full-size bed I ordered had screws that weren’t properly attached. To make matters worse, the queen-sized box spring I received didn’t match my order for a full-size box spring. It was also delivered unassembled, despite my order clearly stating that assembly was included for the entire set. When I attempted to assemble the box spring myself, I found that several screws were missing. I am still waiting for a $900 refund for a chest that was never delivered, which has now been delayed for over three weeks. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone. The lack of clear communication, poor product quality, and delays in resolving issues have left me extremely dissatisfied with my purchase.

Don't order furniture from Ashley online. I had to pay $430+ for the return shipping when the product that got delivered was damaged. I was told I could not return the damaged product to an Ashley store. When I asked for reimbursement on the shipping costs, I was told there was nothing they could do and that I was responsible for it. Very poor customer service and a policy that makes 0 sense.

My original post was positive however after having issues with my purchase I have to change my review. The sectional sofa and ottoman was delivered and was way too big for my living room. It blocked the two entryways into the living room. I called and spoke with someone who told me they couldn't refund cash but I could do a re-select and someone would call me. A week went by and no one called so I called back and talked to someone who told me I couldn't do a re-select without sending pictures proving it didn't fit. It did fit...just not properly or proportionately. I asked to speak to a manager and she said one would call. They have never called. I will never buy at Ashley again. Ever. It is clear they are not interested in customer retention and are solely interested in one and done money deals. This is very short term thinking with myopic vision. I have purchased from Ashley two different times in 10 years. Each time delivery has been a nightmare. This current time, they only put half my order on the truck and I found out the day off! I then rescheduled for another day and guess what! The order wasn’t on the truck again. They have done nothing to accommodate me and my next delivery date is over 2 weeks away! They offered for me to pick up at the distribution center which is 45 min away and only open when I work. I am NEVER buying from Ashley again.

I usually do not post reviews, but this place is complete trash. The delivery team is the worst part about it. I ordered in store a bed set this consisted of a bedframe, dresser, nightstand, and a mirror that is supposed to be attached to the dresser . It was set for home delivery And everything came except for the part I wanted the most the mirror. The delivery man brought everything in except for a mirror. He was not going to inform me that it was apparently on a whole Nother truck and would be supposedly coming later. The only reason he let me know that is because I asked myself where is the mirror that I paid for? he kept saying that his supervisor was bringing the mirror in another truck and will put it together himself. How does that even make any sense? He then had me confirm that the truck would bring the mirror later the same day and had me sign something. I then received an email after he left of a delivery confirmation on this delivery confirmation, it said that everything was delivered, including the mirror and then it had pictures of everything that was delivered yet there’s no picture of a mirror so why would you check that off and try to confirm it. What type of scammers is Ashley furniture hiring? we wait just to see if what he said was true and of course it wasn’t no other truck came so we proceeded to call the customer service line. at this point me and my grandmother are playing phone tag with these people because why do we have to call multiple times and why are we getting multiple different answers which are all a bunch of lies!!! one person is telling me that it is no longer coming today and that I now have to fill out a form because these delivery people lied. While another person is telling us that it is on its way and that the truck is still coming today to drop off the mirror that I spent MY MONEY on. as a delivery person is it that hard to just give me every single one of my items???! now I’m over here stressing these customer service people all they did was lie because nothing that they said was true and nothing that they said happened. We then tried to call the actual Ashley furniture store that I purchased the stuff at and the manager had an attitude and every time we try to talk and explain the situation we were cut off. I don’t know what type of people are a part of Ashley furniture but they are nothing but MONEY HUNGRY LIARS. These people do not care that your stuff will go missing. these people do not care that you are wasting your money and your time because I literally had to take a day off of work for this delivery just for everything not to be here??! I am stressed and I am irritated that nothing has been done.Will I ever get this mirror? I do not believe so either I need a refund or I need what I paid for NOW!!! BEWARE OF THIS LOW DOWN DIRTY COMPANY!! Update: They finally delivered the mirror but of course they still did something wrong because these people can do nothing right!! All I see is them scrurry out of my house and when I come to see the mirror I look over and one of my items is on the floor broken. These people broke my property didnt say anything and ran out the door before I could notice!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY OR THESE PEOPLE!! They use the most sketchy trashy delivery drivers known.
