They were on time, polite and were in and out quickly! Good job

VERY UNHAPPY with customer service. Went to pick up a desk I bought in showroom on clearance. Perfect condition. Marked down because misordered. I was so excited.. Staff 100% dented during loading process. It was dark when we loaded. I saw dent as soon as I loaded into my room. I hate to say it but customer service is better at Wayfair and Amazon. Ashley furniture kept pushing blame and did nothing except for reimburse $50 so I could buy my own repair kit. Will not go back and I have told this story to many who will also not buy from Ashley Furniture.

Natasha was absolutely awful to work with with. She was rude, dismissive, and overall disrespectful. I will never return to this specific location because of Natasha. I understand people have bad days and maybe it was one of those days for her… but my gosh.. get your act together. Beware!

I went to look at various types of lift chairs as I just began browsing. I approached Sylvia as I had a few questions. I didn’t have any intention of purchasing one that day but I found one I liked and her knowledge and expertise made me feel extremely comfortable. She was a pleasure to work with. I did not feel pressured in anyway. She communicated efficiently and effectively. I will definitely be reaching out to her for any future purchases. Oh, this is a franchise. They only deal in the higher eend of Ashley furniture. I wasn't buying anything, but I was with a friend and had an ad that they were interested in. The sales lady said they deal with that quality. I walked out after all the rudeness that popped out her mouth. I believe her name was brandy or sandy. I was irritated with her remarks.

Nikki was very nice.Professional did not make us feel rust at all. Catered to all our needs. Very informative and knowledgeable.

Loved the style of the item we purchased. However, stunned at the high price for what is essentially a plastic table made in China. Very overpriced for the quality received. Tabletop is wood-look plastic, drawer construction is not dovetail. And then white glove delivery is an additional $79.99? For a $399 table? Further, the salesman was gruff and spelled my name wrong. Said nothing when I pointed out the misspelling and did nothing to change it. I was also not able to read the terms and conditions of what I was signing because the tablet had a poor wifi connection. Very disappointing experience. We won't shop here.again.

Delivery team courteous and professional but did not remove or cover shoes to access upper level with new carpeting. I was told at the store that the crew who delivered the mattress would haul the old one out and that there was no need to cover it. Crew told me that we need to cover mattress and call for pick up. Frustrating not knowing this in advance when I made a point to specifically ask so I can be prepared

They said they couldn’t deliver my purchase where l requested when they had delivered their before and the young lady mentioned a lot a fruad is going on l was insulted by that my account is in good standing and l showed lD and had my credit card

Loved the sofa that I bought at a very reasonable price. I do wish the sofa was in the first color that I wanted but was still extremely happy that it was in the second color choice that I wanted. The salesman was very nice and gave me space to make up my mind.

Staff were very friendly and helpful at the Merrillville location, especially Natasha K! They didn’t have the exact couch I wanted on the floor but she was able to show me the fabric and size of what it would be on other couches they did have in store!!! Purchasing was easy as well! Would definitely recommend and return in the future.

It's not the stores fault that my delivery was horrible the first attempt but the second attempt was a little better. Even though I had to send one item back for damage and then after we went to move dresser and chest of drawers up to room we didn't recieve the hardware or legs for them so nowni have to wait 5 to 7 days for those to be shipped to my home.

I’m really happy with the furniture I just bought. It looks great and is much more affordable than some of the other places. Nickie, the saleswoman, was great when we were shopping. I brought my two pre-teen daughters to help me pick out my new furniture for my living room. She gave us plenty of space to shop. She was there when we needed her and then faded into the background. She also treated my daughters with dignity and respect which I really appreciated after the salesman at Value Furniture made us all extremely uncomfortable. She honestly was the deciding factor that kept us in the building and I’m very grateful for her help and happy with my furniture.

It seems like the days of high pressure sails are over for this place which is great! Honestly, years ago I would dread going here because of this. I just left and my experience was waaaaay better. Sylvia approached us, asked what we needed, pointed is in the right direction, said she'd be around if we need help, then gave us space! When we did need help we were also greeted by Nor, the store manager, as there were some price discrepancies with other retailers. They were able to get us a very competitive price and gave us no pressure to buy at all. The customer service was what sold us. The experience was leaps and bounds better than a few years ago and also better than their competitor, Bob's, which was right down the street.

Terrible experience trying to purchase a recliner. I came in the merrillville store with the exact sku number of the recliner from their website to replace the one that had broken. I was not greeted by any of the sales staff no one was at the customer service desk and I proceeded to walk the entire sales floor looking for the recliner. Fast forward about 15 mins I find a sales lady lounging in a loveseat toward the back of the store. I asked her if they had this recliner or if it would have to be ordered. She informed me she didn’t know and took about ten mins to find someone to look up the item. Mind you there was no other customers in the store. The sales associate returns to inform me that the have it in stock at their warehouse and that it will be $687 plus $100 delivery fee, on their website it clearly stated $459 free delivery to my address. She goes to find a manager and comes back to tell me they can sell it to me for the $450 plus delivery and couldn’t understand that I was showing her the price from THEIR WEBSITE, after pulling up the item on my phone showing her and explaining the price difference she finally agrees to sell it to me for the advertised price on their website. Then comes the 25 mins of the sales woman entering all of my information in to their computer having me sigh twice the invoice printing the receipt and then forgetting to take my payment. Now she restarts entering my info again and this time takes my debit card to pay for the item. Why is all of this mess art why am I not able to just purchase the chair at the price you advertise without going back and forth for over an hour? Horrible waste of time! The only reason I went to the store was because I was looking to pick it up today and take it home instead wasted an hour! This is why stores go out of business terrible customer service and marking up items with misleading prices. I could have just ordered this from my living room and avoided this whole mess! I bought both of my previous living room sets from Ashley and never again!

This is our second purchase with Ashley Furniture in 2 years. Our most recent purchase was with salesman Brad Cavanaugh who was highly knowledgeable and helpful in every sense. We loved the service he provided and because of him we will definitely be back for our next room!

Could use some training in customer service. Only one person out of 5/6 waiting by the door greeted me and my husband. The salesperson gave us space, but was readily available to help when questioned. Everyone else just looked at us as if we weren’t worth engagement and likely not to purchase.

The associate at the store was nice and informative, unfortunately the delivery didn’t fair as well. The gentleman wouldn’t take my mattress and box spring as stipulated in the white glove delivery order. I got someone else to do that for me. The backboard was missing the hardware to apply. The delivery associate just told me to go get some screws for it. I assumed that it was their job to put the bed together. I just was a bit confused why a product would be sent without the hardware to install it.Called the company and was sent the hardware to put it together instead. Went to Ace hardware and got what I needed to attach the backboard. On the first delivery with the table and chairs went ok I guess. Unfortunately the chair legs were uneven and the chairs would wobble a bit. Again, went to a store and picked up some felt pads to help compensate, seems to be ok now. My remodeling is finished for now and I told the salesman at the store I would definitely keep Ashley’s in mind for mine future endeavors in my house and would definitely tell other people as well. I just wanted to make you aware of how I felt about this and what your thoughts were. Thank you, for your time Andy

Good experience. Demo chair was saddle tan and after I got home wasn't sure color would fit in with the rest of my furniture. When they delivered it they delivered it in chocolate brown it worked out beautifully. Hope they dropped off the right chair. Will consider Ashley for any other furniture purchases. Delivery was flawless on time and loved the computer tracking.

Tyler was our associate yesterday. He was very helpful and helped us pick out furniture for our son who is special needs and moving into his own apartment. First time I went into a furniture store and didn’t feel like I was trying to be sold something that was priced too high or pressured. He was a great help and would definitely shop there again because of Tyler. When you go in ask for Tyler you will not be disappointed.

I went there with my father To get him a chair. He had gone there earlier in the day and did not make his final decision. I did not like the idea that the sales people were all over him and us. I did not appreciate that. There were no deals after a black friday time had ended. He is a return customer for ashley furniture. There were no deals for cash customers. And the sales people were not nice. They were all very crabby. And to me, the prices were high and the quality Was OK not great.We could not have his chair shipped to store to pick up. You have to have it delivered. And you have to wait twelve days to receive it. So he has to pay an extra hundred dollars for delivery. It was Not an option. So add a hundred dollars to every item in the store when you go there. That is horrible.It should be included in the price. Especially For a return customer. Delivery should have been free. I know I will not recommend it or go there myself to purchase furniture. Ashley needs to review their policies And be nicer and kinder to the elderly.

We worked with Bradford and Jake and they were both tremendous help in choosing our furniture. Very pleased. Can’t wait for the arrival of our new purchases.

Ashley should feel lucky to have such great sales people. Ashley is not cheap but you get what you pay for. Solid furniture that lasts.

We were sold items that arrived defective. The delivery guy LIED to me about the best way to resolve that. Once you swipe your card, the store is done with you. They got their sale, and their customer service is OVER. They won’t help rectify any solution and when they do, it’s empty promises. TRUST ME…go somewhere else. DO NOT waste your time or your money. We bought our stuff from Ashley in July and we are STILL going through trying to get all the pieces we bought.

I purchase a living room set. I was told if I waited 20 days I will have all my porches delivered at once. The time came they told me that they didn’t have only one set. No one did not gave me a curiosity called to say that did not have the complete order. After dropping off one piece of my set. I had to call them two weeks later to see what was going on with my order . costumer service is horrible. 👎👎👎👎👎 never will go back or recommend any one.

I ordered furniture for my house in December of 2023. I move back into my house in the end of August, I'm told at the begining of July the order is ready to be scheduled. I receive a text message that half the order is now not ready and needs to be rescheduled. I currently live several states away from where the furniture is being delivered and I had to set up arrangements for months ahead of time to have someone there to recieve everything. I'm on the phone with support for an hour before they say theres nothing they can do for me. I dont understand how the order is being delayed when I purchased the furniture 9 months ago. I'm holding up my end of the deal by giving Ashley 10 grand and they are kicking the can down the road and being nothing but wildly inconvienient from delivery to customer support. I wish I would have listened to friends and family and never bought from Ashley Furniture.

I had been very frustrated with your company after buying a bedroom set . After only 2 months, one of the slats that hold mattress up snapped. Of course, I had purchased insurance but when I contacted customer service, I got the run around. After numerous calls and chats with AI , they said they could send me 19 dollars. Certainly I was upset with this and face up til today when I decided to go in store and met with manager JAKE who was able to get me a whole new piece and have it delivered to my house. I am very pleased now Thank you

Had a wonderful time being able to walk around with my dad and check out the designs at this spacious Ashley store. I also work for Ashley but a few states away and love seeing how others display and design. We were greeted by Helen and instantly felt at ease after speaking with her. My dad loved laying in mattresses! From Stearns, TempurSealy, the ever-famous Ashley Bed-in-A-Box, seeing what bedroom collection he’d like and kitchen table. Many beautiful choices! The financing options are clear as day with tags, definitely making it easier to envision all the rooms I could fill at the monthly breakdown portion. The Consultants, Sleep specialist and Visual that I was able to meet today were sweet and super down to earth. We also got a little token (window sill plant accessory) to take home with us as a great memory. If I get anyone from my direction moving towards the 219, I’ll recommend they visit this Ashley!

We shopped at Ashely for a couch ottoman and love seat, we added the extended warranty. It came out to about 3200. We think the quality is decent, but found two small tears in ottoman and love seat. We have had to place multiple calls to get the replacement fabric for the items. Between waiting for those items to come and it’s the 3rd phone call to schedule. Their systems for how to contact them is so far removed that it is nearly impossible to talk to the right person about the right thing. Delivery was terrible, the movers got the furniture dirty when they unpacked everything in my garage, Ashley didn't honor the solution they provided to make up for the dirty/scraped furniture, even after jumping thru hoops to make a claim thru the automated system. The manager at the store could not help. He also kept telling me to use their automated system. I'll never shop there again.

Good buying experience not so delivery experience

Worst customer service. Argued for weeks about being 2k over charged. Then told not to make a payment, all correspondence will be email as they will investigate. Never received email, the received a letter about making a payment, but charged a late payment. Then turned around and stated they didn’t have my email. About two months to get it corrected.

Tim was our salesman and was wonderful, and the store manager Nora (I hope I’m spelling her name right) was just an absolutely amazing person to do business with. They got a us a great deal and you can tell that they really care for the customers and want to help as best they can. We had a great in store experience with excellent customer service from Helen. It felt like she really wanted to help us meet our needs, not just make a sale. Sure, online purchases may be cheaper at times—but you can’t beat the experience of getting to test out products. Plus—I’d rather a salesperson get some money for the hard work they put in! We are so excited for our new furniture to come in this week. We felt like the prices were fair and right within our budget, and we were impressed with the quality.

I went to purchase a bedroom set during the memorial day weekend. On the website they offered a 30% discount. Not true. On the website they offered a cooler cup/tumbler. Not true. The salesman quoted me a price however I paid more than what he quoted. Not happy be aware 😕!

I went in to buy two recliners, and I thought the process would be pretty quick, but it seemed like it took quite a while. However, everyone was nice about it and apparently they were still getting used to a new payment system so that was the reason for the delays. Also the guy helping me out gave me a few discounts to make things a bit cheaper which I appreciated. The main lady who was helping me was very nice and I've been in there to deal with her multiple times now at this point. All the stuff in their store is nice, and the folks are nice and helpful..waayyy nicer than the snobs at La Z Boy who said to me "you're gonna need a bigger chair since you're a heavier dude"..I thought that was so RUDE! Ashley is the way to go for your furniture needs, recommended for sure!

New system at the store for checking out took way to long. Tim was wonderful but the new system sucks. We waited about 40 minutes just to check out.

Sylvia Walker is amazing. Sylvia took the tine to explain the details of the purchase order. Sylvia stayed and worked late and not even one time complained about it being past closing. My bed of one and a half years broke yesterday from regular use and the $639 warranty that we purchased can't do anything for us. I advise to read those terms carefully. So when the extended warranty couldn't do anything for us, I called Ashley for a next step and they offered to send a technician which will cost us. I do not understand how a bed breaks in less than two years and how they think that is okay. Here I thought I was getting better quality product but we were wrong. I've had an ikea bed frame for 10+ years and it is still in great shape. I will never shop at any Ashley's again.

Found a piece of furniture on Clearance, for an incredible deal and got an even better deal upon purchasing it. Timothy was a very helpful salesperson. Will definitely be back.

We needed a lift recliner chair asap. Salesperson and manager went out of their way to make calls to get the chair delivered quicker. Not sure it will actually arrive earlier but I appreciate they are trying.

It was disappointing that I walked the entire store and wasn’t greeted or spoken to at all by the staff. I mentioned it out loud as I proceeded to leave because of this reason but was stopped by the nice store manager who apologized and was gracious in assisting me. For that along I’ll give a 4 overall.

Great customer service! Smoothe transaction , the only ding would be the very couch I wanted was not in stock. Very disappointing. they only had a few of the pieces in stock. which i wasn’t going to deal with multiple orders or two month delay. If you don’t have something in stock, it should be visibly noted so time isn’t wasted and disappointment.

Had such a great experience here. Came in and didn’t get hounded like most furniture stores so that was the first plus. Then got help from one of the managers John M. And he was fantastic. If you need furniture make sure you ask for him. He’s super patient and helpful. I would highly recommend coming to this location!!

The furniture is nice, but the business practices have gotten very scummy. we've bought Ashley furniture for years. We went to purchase a chair that was advertised as on sale. But they wouldn't let us buy it at the sale price without paying an extra 150 in delivery charges and fees. which brought the chair right back to the original price.

Staff wasn’t overly eager to help out, and took their time to process the transaction that should have only taken 5-10 minutes max.

They charge in store and make it seem you can get a 10-20% discount but it is still cheaper online. A sales tactic, I would look online before purchasing to ensure you’re getting the best price

I used to love Ashley furniture store. They had a great selection, if you were spending thousands or needed something on a budget. They seem to have changed that now. Some people, especially now, can't afford a multi thousand dollar couch. But that's all they had on the floor. And they seemed disinterested in helping someone if they didn't want to spend $2-3000 on a couch. They lost my business and I spent $2000 with another business that took care of me and gave a great deal on quality furniture

This is the second time we’ve gone into this store and each time we walked out with a room or two of furniture. We didn’t receive any pressure from the staff, we were able to make our decisions and left to do so. Had two pieces of furniture show up damaged. Had a technician come out to check the damaged items and he tried to fix it. Called in to see if I can get them replaced but because the techs report stated repaired even though it’s not they are not honoring the replacement. We also purchased warranty for the furniture we purchased. They offer a false advertisement regarding the warranty and won’t replace any damage items. Still waiting on the one piece that they brought back with them to be delivered due to a big slash in the back of the item while they were unboxing it with a box cutter. It’s been almost three weeks now. Never will I ever use Ashley’s furniture again.

Love this place, even better that they carry so many different decor ideas for walls, tabletops, and any surface you feel is bare. I love that everything is in two's or three's. I still have a complete office that is in style, after 15 yrs!!! I also want to add that I a month or so ago purchased the perfect bed. I walked in, and I had already checked it out online, walked to the bed, and a salesman walked up just in time for me to buy, set up white glove service, and pay. My kind of shopping...😁 The following week, the first bed I bought and disliked immensely was out one day, and the new bed was in the next, and my bedroom is complete. The price was very great, the service was great and as I have already said about my desk and office furniture, the home office still has a great look 15 or more yrs later. I also like the stock out. I know what I'm looking for and what looks nice in my home. It might be crowded with stock, but at least there are no surprises like other value furniture stores.

Entered the Ashley store in Merrillville, IN knowing what I was ordering since I looked at their online pages. I was greeted immediately, had all my questions answered, and the order was written up. There was continued communication up until the day of delivery. Delivery guys were great as well, worked fast but efficiently. Made sure I was satisfied before leaving. I bought my last living room furniture 20 yrs ago from Ashley, this was the reason I returned to Ashley. Hope the same quality is still in place.

Once we asked if she could hold the price till Tuesday she replied I’m from corporate so no have a nice day and just walked away just stopped helping us ,I will never set foot in that store again.

First off this was my first time dealing with Ashley Furniture. I normally deal with The Room Place but I thought I’d try Ashley because I liked what I saw online. This was the BIGGEST mistake ever. The assistant manager John Mishorich messed up my order and I did not receive an extra chair as I had previously ordered. The delivery guy dropped my table upon delivery then lied and said that it was damaged in the box. When he saw he was on camera he then stated that he dropped it. I was told that I could get a replacement table the following week only to find out that I couldn’t get until after Christmas. I ended up driving 104 miles round trip to pick up the table and missing chair myself. After finally reaching John Mishorich at the Merrillville location he was extremely rude and wouldn’t admit to messing up on the order. He wouldn’t even look at the order with me. John kept trying to talk over me instead of trying to hear my concerns. He then said that he was done talking to me and hung up the phone…. I have never been treated this way. The fault was totally on Ashley Furniture. I really hate that one person and one store is depicting my experience with the company at large but I will NEVER do business with Ashley Furniture again. This service was horrible from across the board with the exception of the gentlemen who assisted me at the ROMEOVILLE location. They were very understanding and I appreciate them doing the little bit they could to resolve this. I am beyond dissatisfied and will pursue this matter further.

We were greeted when we got to the store and said we were just looking. Natasha let us know how the store was set up and told us if we needed anything, to let us know. She saw us a few times, asked how we were doing but very hands off. My husband showed interest in a set and she got a quote together for him. We discussed some other wants out of our living room set and she did a few more quotes. We finally found the one we wanted and she went over everything with us and got delivery set up she was phenomenal. I got an update a week or so before delivery, received an email as what to expect at delivery and day of, a text. The communication has been top notch. The guys delivering, Ricardo was the driver, was great as well. They were seriously in and out in about 20 minutes and we got a nice size sectional. I have loved everything about this purchase so far!

OK friends, I'm here again with the conclusion to our story! I'm giving Ashley Furniture in Merriville 5 stars. So Jake is still awesome he's one of the people on the floor. My husband stopped into the store Jake had already left, but my husband spoke to Mr. John Mishorich, the store manager! He was fantastic & listened to our problems. He was apologetic & stood behind the reputation of the store. He fixed everything for us!! (The people I was texting with yesterday were a third party for delivery & repair "SAW ENTERPRISES" & with them procede with CAUTION & THEY STILL SUCK! THEY TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR! THEN DO THE OPPOSITE! FOR THEM I'D GIVE A -5 VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Look up their reviews yourself.) Long story short, we're getting new items! It's important & means everything to them that the customer's satisfaction is 100% Like it should be with all businesses. Ashley's has a lot of variety, pretty things, & good prices & really helpful friendly employees. Check them out if you're looking for anything cool. So I hope everyone has a great nite, & we're both smiling on this end!!!

The Ashley store was able to get me immediate delivery on an item that RoomPlace promised me 2 weeks ago and recently notified it would be 4-6 weeks more to receive it. They were helpful, efficient and easy to deal with.

My sales rep SILVIA addressed me quickly and kindly. She followed up without being too pushy. And finally she provide the best know how on how to get the best product for the best price.

My experience at the Ashley Store in Merrillville, was absolutely great, the representative was Paris. I don’t know her last name, but she’s very professional and knowledgeable concerning the products. Can’t wait to get back.

We purchased a furniture set for our living room and dining room on July 2022. Furniture was not delivered until October 2022. After a few months of using the rocker-recliner, the hardware started to fail. They replaced the broken rocker-recliner. After using the replacement rocker-recliner for a few months, it failed in the same place that it failed on the original. The repair shop that is supposed to be doing the repair is rude, deceptive, and unprofessional (long wait times, cancellations of appointments, etc.). I asked if we could upgrade our recliner and return the failing recliner, but Ashley furniture says that’s not an option, (because we have had the furniture for over a year). I disagree, as we only had the replacement a few months before it failed too. From my perspective, it is highly suggestive there is an engineering problem with this specific rocker recliner. 3 month old recliners should not break in the same way 2x in a row within just a few months of normal use. I guess we got skipped over for ‘the crazy good experience, and the best to every guest’ that CEO Todd Wanek was referring to when describing the customer service of Ashley furniture.

Editing my previous review (below) as my dining set was delivered today and the wrong table was sent. I ordered a traditional height table and a counter height was sent. The delivery driver insisted that he delivered what was ordered and the item ID of what he sent and what was ordered did match. However, it seems like both tables, the countertop and the regular height table have the same ID and I just differentiated by the dimensions. The delivery personnel told me the way to handle this was by calling customer service and they would set up swapping out the table. I’ve contacted customer service and was told two different things- one person told me since I accepted the table I’m stuck with it and no returns are possible (a counter height table and regular height chairs…) and another said they will contact the store and get back to me. This is the first time I’ve ever done business with Ashley and I’m very much hoping they make this right. I came into the store wanting to see a dining room set that I saw online. The sales person who greeted me knew exactly what it was and brought me right over to it. Once I saw it, it was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. The buying process was super fast and easy. I was in and out in less than a half hour.

Worst experience and biggest waste of time and money. Quality of furniture is so poor. They sent a cushion that was flatter than the rest and I have been patiently waiting for my new one (that I verified was coming the day delivered) and they suddenly have no record. Never again. Cheap garbage.

I had an amazing experience at Ashley Store in Merrillville, IN on Sunday 9/10/23. I was able to walk through the store hassle free, choose the right sofa sectional that fit my life style, and happy to say I made a purchase. Definitely will make Ashley my go to store to make purchases in the future.

First time to any Ashley furniture store, while we went in with a couple of ideas in mind we also were open to looking at other items. We were politely greeted by Paris. Then she let us wonder by ourselves. Once we found a few things we liked, both Paris and Naomi were very helpful, professional, and kind. I’d like to add it was surprisingly a quick and simple transaction.

Natasha was phenomenal! From the moment we walked in to the second we pulled away, she was helpful and attentive. She helped to get us financed for the furniture we were purchasing, and was all jokes and smiles! Now we wait for our delivery, which I hope goes just as well!

furniture is decent but DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY!!! they will not fix or replace even if your claim is word for word ‘covered’ on the brochure. called the store because their insurance company wouldn’t cover and they ‘made a new claim’. we haven’t heard back.

I went to Ashley furniture in Merrillville and had a wonderful experience. I was greeted by Natasha as soon as I walked in. She directed me to the area I was looking for but then left me alone. She said to let her know if I had any questions. I didn’t feel pressured just peaceful to find what I wanted. As soon as I picked she was right there for questions and helped me. It was an easy and smooth purchase and I highly recommend them. Beautiful furniture too!!!
