Friendly professional service and excellent pricing I will go back quality merchandise totally satisfied.

Could use some training in customer service. Only one person out of 5/6 waiting by the door greeted me and my husband. The salesperson gave us space, but was readily available to help when questioned. Everyone else just looked at us as if we weren’t worth engagement and likely not to purchase.

Good experience. Demo chair was saddle tan and after I got home wasn't sure color would fit in with the rest of my furniture. When they delivered it they delivered it in chocolate brown it worked out beautifully. Hope they dropped off the right chair. Will consider Ashley for any other furniture purchases. Delivery was flawless on time and loved the computer tracking.

Tyler was our associate yesterday. He was very helpful and helped us pick out furniture for our son who is special needs and moving into his own apartment. First time I went into a furniture store and didn’t feel like I was trying to be sold something that was priced too high or pressured. He was a great help and would definitely shop there again because of Tyler. When you go in ask for Tyler you will not be disappointed.
I went there with my father To get him a chair. He had gone there earlier in the day and did not make his final decision. I did not like the idea that the sales people were all over him and us. I did not appreciate that. There were no deals after a black friday time had ended. He is a return customer for ashley furniture. There were no deals for cash customers. And the sales people were not nice. They were all very crabby. And to me, the prices were high and the quality Was OK not great.We could not have his chair shipped to store to pick up. You have to have it delivered. And you have to wait twelve days to receive it. So he has to pay an extra hundred dollars for delivery. It was Not an option. So add a hundred dollars to every item in the store when you go there. That is horrible.It should be included in the price. Especially For a return customer. Delivery should have been free. I know I will not recommend it or go there myself to purchase furniture. Ashley needs to review their policies And be nicer and kinder to the elderly.
We worked with Bradford and Jake and they were both tremendous help in choosing our furniture. Very pleased. Can’t wait for the arrival of our new purchases.

Had such a great experience at the Ashley Merrillville store. Sylvia was very friendly but also let us have our space to find what was right for us at our own pace. Ashley has quality furniture. Quality super nice sales associates. We were shopping for a couch and mattress. My wife already had the one she wanted picked out. Patricia was nice and greeted us as soon as we walked in. Was there but not overbearing. Natasha helped us with a super knowledgeable demonstration of their Tempurpedic beds and bases. Ashley should feel lucky to have such great sales people. Ashley is not cheap but you get what you pay for. Solid furniture that lasts.

We were sold items that arrived defective. The delivery guy LIED to me about the best way to resolve that. Once you swipe your card, the store is done with you. They got their sale, and their customer service is OVER. They won’t help rectify any solution and when they do, it’s empty promises. TRUST ME…go somewhere else. DO NOT waste your time or your money. We bought our stuff from Ashley in July and we are STILL going through trying to get all the pieces we bought.

Jake greeted us at the door and directed us to the bedroom sets. He gave us ample time to browse and we actually found the perfect bedroom set. He was very professional, friendly, and helpful.

I purchase a living room set. I was told if I waited 20 days I will have all my porches delivered at once. The time came they told me that they didn’t have only one set. No one did not gave me a curiosity called to say that did not have the complete order. After dropping off one piece of my set. I had to call them two weeks later to see what was going on with my order . costumer service is horrible. 👎👎👎👎👎 never will go back or recommend any one.

I ordered furniture for my house in December of 2023. I move back into my house in the end of August, I'm told at the begining of July the order is ready to be scheduled. I receive a text message that half the order is now not ready and needs to be rescheduled. I currently live several states away from where the furniture is being delivered and I had to set up arrangements for months ahead of time to have someone there to recieve everything. I'm on the phone with support for an hour before they say theres nothing they can do for me. I dont understand how the order is being delayed when I purchased the furniture 9 months ago. I'm holding up my end of the deal by giving Ashley 10 grand and they are kicking the can down the road and being nothing but wildly inconvienient from delivery to customer support. I wish I would have listened to friends and family and never bought from Ashley Furniture.
I had been very frustrated with your company after buying a bedroom set . After only 2 months, one of the slats that hold mattress up snapped. Of course, I had purchased insurance but when I contacted customer service, I got the run around. After numerous calls and chats with AI , they said they could send me 19 dollars. Certainly I was upset with this and face up til today when I decided to go in store and met with manager JAKE who was able to get me a whole new piece and have it delivered to my house. I am very pleased now Thank you

Had a wonderful time being able to walk around with my dad and check out the designs at this spacious Ashley store. I also work for Ashley but a few states away and love seeing how others display and design. We were greeted by Helen and instantly felt at ease after speaking with her. My dad loved laying in mattresses! From Stearns, TempurSealy, the ever-famous Ashley Bed-in-A-Box, seeing what bedroom collection he’d like and kitchen table. Many beautiful choices! The financing options are clear as day with tags, definitely making it easier to envision all the rooms I could fill at the monthly breakdown portion. The Consultants, Sleep specialist and Visual that I was able to meet today were sweet and super down to earth. We also got a little token (window sill plant accessory) to take home with us as a great memory. If I get anyone from my direction moving towards the 219, I’ll recommend they visit this Ashley!

We shopped at Ashely for a couch ottoman and love seat, we added the extended warranty. It came out to about 3200. We think the quality is decent, but found two small tears in ottoman and love seat. We have had to place multiple calls to get the replacement fabric for the items. Between waiting for those items to come and it’s the 3rd phone call to schedule. Their systems for how to contact them is so far removed that it is nearly impossible to talk to the right person about the right thing. After trying to get this resolved from July, I know now I will never shop there again. Very disappointed.

Delivery was terrible, the movers got the furniture dirty when they unpacked everything in my garage, Ashley didn't honor the solution they provided to make up for the dirty/scraped furniture, even after jumping thru hoops to make a claim thru the automated system. The manager at the store could not help. He also kept telling me to use their automated system. I'll never shop there again.

Good buying experience not so delivery experience
Worst customer service. Argued for weeks about being 2k over charged. Then told not to make a payment, all correspondence will be email as they will investigate. Never received email, the received a letter about making a payment, but charged a late payment. Then turned around and stated they didn’t have my email. About two months to get it corrected.

Tim was our salesman and was wonderful, and the store manager Nora (I hope I’m spelling her name right) was just an absolutely amazing person to do business with. They got a us a great deal and you can tell that they really care for the customers and want to help as best they can. I could not be happier with this experience, and we will definitely be back the next time we need something.
We had a great in store experience with excellent customer service from Helen. It felt like she really wanted to help us meet our needs, not just make a sale. Sure, online purchases may be cheaper at times—but you can’t beat the experience of getting to test out products. Plus—I’d rather a salesperson get some money for the hard work they put in! We are so excited for our new furniture to come in this week. We felt like the prices were fair and right within our budget, and we were impressed with the quality.

I went to purchase a bedroom set during the memorial day weekend. On the website they offered a 30% discount. Not true. On the website they offered a cooler cup/tumbler. Not true. The salesman quoted me a price however I paid more than what he quoted. Not happy be aware 😕!

I went in to buy two recliners, and I thought the process would be pretty quick, but it seemed like it took quite a while. However, everyone was nice about it and apparently they were still getting used to a new payment system so that was the reason for the delays. Also the guy helping me out gave me a few discounts to make things a bit cheaper which I appreciated. The main lady who was helping me was very nice and I've been in there to deal with her multiple times now at this point. All the stuff in their store is nice, and the folks are nice and helpful..waayyy nicer than the snobs at La Z Boy who said to me "you're gonna need a bigger chair since you're a heavier dude"..I thought that was so RUDE! Ashley is the way to go for your furniture needs, recommended for sure!
New system at the store for checking out took way to long. Tim was wonderful but the new system sucks. We waited about 40 minutes just to check out.
Sylvia Walker is amazing. Sylvia took the tine to explain the details of the purchase order. Sylvia stayed and worked late and not even one time complained about it being past closing. My bed of one and a half years broke yesterday from regular use and the $639 warranty that we purchased can't do anything for us. I advise to read those terms carefully. So when the extended warranty couldn't do anything for us, I called Ashley for a next step and they offered to send a technician which will cost us. I do not understand how a bed breaks in less than two years and how they think that is okay. Here I thought I was getting better quality product but we were wrong. I've had an ikea bed frame for 10+ years and it is still in great shape. I will never shop at any Ashley's again.

We needed a lift recliner chair asap. Salesperson and manager went out of their way to make calls to get the chair delivered quicker. Not sure it will actually arrive earlier but I appreciate they are trying.

I had initially wanted to go to Lazy-boy but they were closed and Ashley was right next to it so I stopped in. I have more items to purchase and Ashley Merrillville is on the top of my list. Excellent service, product knowledge, and interior decorating suggestions.

We went to Ashley Furniture in Merrillville and was extremely pleased with our Sales Rep, Helen, and the other staff. Helen took time showing us recliner loveseats and thoroughly explained benefits of each. She did not use high pressure sales tactics which built our trust. We left and checked out four other stores before coming back to Ashley to finalize our sale. Best yet, our new recliner will be at our home in five days. Good price and high quality product. It was disappointing that I walked the entire store and wasn’t greeted or spoken to at all by the staff. I mentioned it out loud as I proceeded to leave because of this reason but was stopped by the nice store manager who apologized and was gracious in assisting me. For that along I’ll give a 4 overall.

Great customer service! Smoothe transaction , the only ding would be the very couch I wanted was not in stock. Very disappointing. they only had a few of the pieces in stock. which i wasn’t going to deal with multiple orders or two month delay. If you don’t have something in stock, it should be visibly noted so time isn’t wasted and disappointment.

Had such a great experience here. Came in and didn’t get hounded like most furniture stores so that was the first plus. Then got help from one of the managers John M. And he was fantastic. If you need furniture make sure you ask for him. He’s super patient and helpful. I would highly recommend coming to this location!!

The furniture is nice, but the business practices have gotten very scummy. we've bought Ashley furniture for years. We went to purchase a chair that was advertised as on sale. But they wouldn't let us buy it at the sale price without paying an extra 150 in delivery charges and fees. which brought the chair right back to the original price.
Staff wasn’t overly eager to help out, and took their time to process the transaction that should have only taken 5-10 minutes max.

They charge in store and make it seem you can get a 10-20% discount but it is still cheaper online. A sales tactic, I would look online before purchasing to ensure you’re getting the best price

I used to love Ashley furniture store. They had a great selection, if you were spending thousands or needed something on a budget. They seem to have changed that now. Some people, especially now, can't afford a multi thousand dollar couch. But that's all they had on the floor. And they seemed disinterested in helping someone if they didn't want to spend $2-3000 on a couch. They lost my business and I spent $2000 with another business that took care of me and gave a great deal on quality furniture

This is the second time we’ve gone into this store and each time we walked out with a room or two of furniture. We didn’t receive any pressure from the staff, we were able to make our decisions and left to do so. Made a sectional purchase on 11/06/2023 after 3 attempts they continued to deliver the wrong piece. I was way to generous with giving Ashley all this time to deliver but finally had enough. The Merriville location have great customer service to close the sale but after the sale is horrible which is a win for the store and a loss for the customer. They do not answer the phone or return calls & I was initially told that I could not get a refund because of a 7 day policy but I insisted that, that was not an option so they offered me a discount -ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Waiting on my refund of over $2600. Please take reviews seriously and chose a different option for furniture shopping.
Had two pieces of furniture show up damaged. Had a technician come out to check the damaged items and he tried to fix it. Called in to see if I can get them replaced but because the techs report stated repaired even though it’s not they are not honoring the replacement. We also purchased warranty for the furniture we purchased. They offer a false advertisement regarding the warranty and won’t replace any damage items. Still waiting on the one piece that they brought back with them to be delivered due to a big slash in the back of the item while they were unboxing it with a box cutter. It’s been almost three weeks now. Never will I ever use Ashley’s furniture again.

Love this place, even better that they carry so many different decor ideas for walls, tabletops, and any surface you feel is bare. I love that everything is in two's or three's. I still have a complete office that is in style, after 15 yrs!!! I also want to add that I a month or so ago purchased the perfect bed. I walked in, and I had already checked it out online, walked to the bed, and a salesman walked up just in time for me to buy, set up white glove service, and pay. My kind of shopping...😁 The following week, the first bed I bought and disliked immensely was out one day, and the new bed was in the next, and my bedroom is complete. The price was very great, the service was great and as I have already said about my desk and office furniture, the home office still has a great look 15 or more yrs later. I also like the stock out. I know what I'm looking for and what looks nice in my home. It might be crowded with stock, but at least there are no surprises like other value furniture stores.

Jake the salesman sent me a chair and ottoman that didn't match. Chair is gray ottoman is white. Called Costumer service immediately and was on the phone for 2 hours only for them to tell me to contact the store. I went to the store only for them to tell me to contact customer service. Contacted customer service again and was told the manager had to acknowledge that the mistake was made on their end. So I returned to the store spoke to a manager john/james who took my name and information and did nothing with it. Why do i need to do all this after spending several thousand dollars in this store. Contacting customer service is a horrible, time consuming experience and no resolution has been reached. They act as if they are bothered and they arent, yet! I will never shop here again. However i will be camped out at the store until they correct my order.

Entered the Ashley store in Merrillville, IN knowing what I was ordering since I looked at their online pages. I was greeted immediately, had all my questions answered, and the order was written up. There was continued communication up until the day of delivery. Delivery guys were great as well, worked fast but efficiently. Made sure I was satisfied before leaving. I bought my last living room furniture 20 yrs ago from Ashley, this was the reason I returned to Ashley. Hope the same quality is still in place.
Once we asked if she could hold the price till Tuesday she replied I’m from corporate so no have a nice day and just walked away just stopped helping us ,I will never set foot in that store again.

First off this was my first time dealing with Ashley Furniture. I normally deal with The Room Place but I thought I’d try Ashley because I liked what I saw online. This was the BIGGEST mistake ever. The assistant manager John Mishorich messed up my order and I did not receive an extra chair as I had previously ordered. The delivery guy dropped my table upon delivery then lied and said that it was damaged in the box. When he saw he was on camera he then stated that he dropped it. I was told that I could get a replacement table the following week only to find out that I couldn’t get until after Christmas. I ended up driving 104 miles round trip to pick up the table and missing chair myself. After finally reaching John Mishorich at the Merrillville location he was extremely rude and wouldn’t admit to messing up on the order. He wouldn’t even look at the order with me. John kept trying to talk over me instead of trying to hear my concerns. He then said that he was done talking to me and hung up the phone…. I have never been treated this way. The fault was totally on Ashley Furniture. I really hate that one person and one store is depicting my experience with the company at large but I will NEVER do business with Ashley Furniture again. This service was horrible from across the board with the exception of the gentlemen who assisted me at the ROMEOVILLE location. They were very understanding and I appreciate them doing the little bit they could to resolve this. I am beyond dissatisfied and will pursue this matter further.
I recently purchased a desk and chair from this Ashley location and the salesperson Jake and the manager Jeremy went above and beyond. They were extremely patient and tried to accommodate getting my items to me as soon as possible. They were both pleasant to work with.

We were greeted when we got to the store and said we were just looking. Natasha let us know how the store was set up and told us if we needed anything, to let us know. She saw us a few times, asked how we were doing but very hands off. My husband showed interest in a set and she got a quote together for him. We discussed some other wants out of our living room set and she did a few more quotes. We finally found the one we wanted and she went over everything with us and got delivery set up she was phenomenal. I got an update a week or so before delivery, received an email as what to expect at delivery and day of, a text. The communication has been top notch. The guys delivering, Ricardo was the driver, was great as well. They were seriously in and out in about 20 minutes and we got a nice size sectional. I have loved everything about this purchase so far!

Visit Ashley Homestore 10/29/23. Jakob was the sales rep assisting with the purchase of 3 twin bed frame, 1 twin mattress and foundation, 2 matching dressers, 1 Queen size mattress,foundation, frame, match dresser. 11/08/23 Delivery was made and only was available to assemble the Queen size frame because the sales rep forgot to add the three twin size bed rails. Called the store manager John to inform him of this and he had them to ship the rails out right away at no charge. When the confirmation email was delivered i notice they were going to deliver the bed rails to an address I lived at 8years ago when I made my very first purchase at Ashley Homestore. Called John back to inform him of this error and he corrected it. Today 11/11/23 Three twin bed rails arrived and I was told by the delivery guy I have to assemble myself it's easy. If the bed rails was on the original order and delivered with original order all four beds would've been assembled but since Ashley Homestore dropped the ball multiple times with my order. I'm left to self assemble three beds that's paid for. Then there's the email asking about how satisfied am I well that's a rhetorical question (I'm pissed) . Completely done with Ashley Homestore. Did not plan to assemble three paid for beds on my off day, thanks is real easy.

OK friends, I'm here again with the conclusion to our story! I'm giving Ashley Furniture in Merriville 5 stars. So Jake is still awesome he's one of the people on the floor. My husband stopped into the store Jake had already left, but my husband spoke to Mr. John Mishorich, the store manager! He was fantastic & listened to our problems. He was apologetic & stood behind the reputation of the store. He fixed everything for us!! (The people I was texting with yesterday were a third party for delivery & repair "SAW ENTERPRISES" & with them procede with CAUTION & THEY STILL SUCK! THEY TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR! THEN DO THE OPPOSITE! FOR THEM I'D GIVE A -5 VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Look up their reviews yourself.) Long story short, we're getting new items! It's important & means everything to them that the customer's satisfaction is 100% Like it should be with all businesses. Ashley's has a lot of variety, pretty things, & good prices & really helpful friendly employees. Check them out if you're looking for anything cool. So I hope everyone has a great nite, & we're both smiling on this end!!!

The Ashley store was able to get me immediate delivery on an item that RoomPlace promised me 2 weeks ago and recently notified it would be 4-6 weeks more to receive it. They were helpful, efficient and easy to deal with.
My sales rep SILVIA addressed me quickly and kindly. She followed up without being too pushy. And finally she provide the best know how on how to get the best product for the best price.

We purchased a furniture set for our living room and dining room on July 2022. Furniture was not delivered until October 2022. After a few months of using the rocker-recliner, the hardware started to fail. They replaced the broken rocker-recliner. After using the replacement rocker-recliner for a few months, it failed in the same place that it failed on the original. The repair shop that is supposed to be doing the repair is rude, deceptive, and unprofessional (long wait times, cancellations of appointments, etc.). I asked if we could upgrade our recliner and return the failing recliner, but Ashley furniture says that’s not an option, (because we have had the furniture for over a year). I disagree, as we only had the replacement a few months before it failed too. From my perspective, it is highly suggestive there is an engineering problem with this specific rocker recliner. 3 month old recliners should not break in the same way 2x in a row within just a few months of normal use. I guess we got skipped over for ‘the crazy good experience, and the best to every guest’ that CEO Todd Wanek was referring to when describing the customer service of Ashley furniture.

Editing my previous review (below) as my dining set was delivered today and the wrong table was sent. I ordered a traditional height table and a counter height was sent. The delivery driver insisted that he delivered what was ordered and the item ID of what he sent and what was ordered did match. However, it seems like both tables, the countertop and the regular height table have the same ID and I just differentiated by the dimensions. The delivery personnel told me the way to handle this was by calling customer service and they would set up swapping out the table. I’ve contacted customer service and was told two different things- one person told me since I accepted the table I’m stuck with it and no returns are possible (a counter height table and regular height chairs…) and another said they will contact the store and get back to me. This is the first time I’ve ever done business with Ashley and I’m very much hoping they make this right. I came into the store wanting to see a dining room set that I saw online. The sales person who greeted me knew exactly what it was and brought me right over to it. Once I saw it, it was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. The buying process was super fast and easy. I was in and out in less than a half hour.

Worst experience and biggest waste of time and money. Quality of furniture is so poor. They sent a cushion that was flatter than the rest and I have been patiently waiting for my new one (that I verified was coming the day delivered) and they suddenly have no record. Never again. Cheap garbage.

I was able to walk through the store hassle free, choose the right sofa sectional that fit my life style, and happy to say I made a purchase. First time to any Ashley furniture store, while we went in with a couple of ideas in mind we also were open to looking at other items. We were politely greeted by Paris. Then she let us wonder by ourselves. Once we found a few things we liked, both Paris and Naomi were very helpful, professional, and kind. I’d like to add it was surprisingly a quick and simple transaction.
Natasha was phenomenal! From the moment we walked in to the second we pulled away, she was helpful and attentive. She helped to get us financed for the furniture we were purchasing, and was all jokes and smiles! Now we wait for our delivery, which I hope goes just as well!

So my house burnt down back in October after it was done I went to Ashley furniture in Merriville Indiana spoke to a manager named John told him exactly what I wanted when the furniture came in it was wrong they sent me a $650 piece that was not supposed to be included and they charged me for it. I've done everything in my will power to try to get my money back and they will not help me at all, please be aware of this place they are crooks and at this time $650 means a lot to me trying to rebuild my life after the fire . Warning about purchasing anything from Ashley Furniture, they don’t stand behind their products. We purchased two couches with 2 recliners each from them last November. Almost immediately they started making a loud noise because of the leather cushions rubbing against the vinyl side piece. We called and the only way the could do something for us was if the repairman said it was un-repairable. Each time we called for a service technician, it would take weeks to get a call back and a few more weeks to get an appointment. First technician said use saddle soap which did not work. Next repairman ordered electronic controls, didn’t work. Next repairman said use Murphy’s oil soap, didn’t work. Next guy had car trouble and couldn’t make it. He did call to discuss the problem and he said it was not repairable. I agreed and said if that was the diagnosis, there was no reason to come to our house. He put down in the repair report we refused service. Next call to Ashley the customer service rep said they would give us credit to pick out new couches and gave us a confirmation number and was told a supervisor would call us. Never happened and when we called back they forced us to go through the repair process again. The repair company this time asked what the problem and sent 4 replacement recliner mechanisms. We had to store these until the repairman arrived. I knew it would not solve the problem. The repairman didn’t show up as scheduled because he was overbooked. He called around 6:00 pm and said he could come at 9:00 pm or 6:00 am the next morning. We asked for 8:00 am the next morning and he still didn’t show up until after 10:00 with no call. He looked at the parts that were sent and said they would not solve the problem and his report did we should get new couches. We asked to pick a different couch and Ashley will only offer replacement with the same make model which will end up doing the same thing. The agents lie when speaking to you and they read off a script. Even speaking with a supervisor, same problem. One of the exchanges with customer service via text they said the store could override the issue and give us store credit. I visited the store this morning, spoke to a manager and he would not do anything. We are only asking for credit to choose a different couch, not a refund or anything beyond what we purchased. Be careful where you shop.
I went in on Saturday 06/24 to browse as I have not yet taken possession of my new home. Naomi, the wonderful rep who assisted me, took the time to answer any and all questions I had knowing I wouldn’t be buying that day. She was so patient and professional that once a date was confirmed I drove from my office in Glenview, IL to that store to make my purchase. I won’t hesitate to return to do business with her should I find myself in need of more items.
We purchased our furniture, and spent a lot of money on it, back in December 2022. Our salesperson Natasha was great. HOWEVER, since then, everything has gone downhill. All of the footrests creak when reclined, and all of the backrests creak when you lean back. You can actually push in on all the armrests, and it sounds like cardboard under the material. A furniture technician has been out twice to repair cushions that have faded, and yet, Ashley will not meet us halfway in a refund or store credit to replace the poorly constructed furniture. Customer service has been a nightmare, and it's impossible to get anywhere with anybody. Dead phone numbers, and no one to speak to. Call the store, and no one answers. Worst experience ever, and will never spend another dime at Ashley Furniture.
The store is clean and well organized. John was courteous and knowledgeable of the product. We found exactly what we were looking for at a great price.
It took them an hour to get on their computer to order the right mattress, box springs and frame for me to deliver. Very incompetent!!

So far, so good. Given the system wide outage, the only thing we're missing is the paperwork. Just a 2 day delay on delivery, not too bad under the circumstances. Natasha was very helpful and informative with our choices. We had only intended to purchase a recliner chair but ended up with a set. Natasha wasn't "pushy" at all, we just happened in on the Memorial Day deal and couldn't pass it up. We HAD to have a recliner for my husband to sleep in as he had a surgery that confines him to a recliner for 6 months! He's a happy camper already. The gentlemen who delivered kept in touch while en route, and set up just 20 minutes. They were both very pleasant and knowledgeable. We appreciate the excellent service, thank you!

Terrible, the system has been down for over a week and I’m still waiting for a refund. I was told that Ashley doesn’t have a store manager only sales managers m, which I think is utterly ridiculous. My name and number were written on a sheet of paper to call back once the system is up. Until then I can’t get a refund, I never heard of such nonsense. The corporate number is useless. I’m still waiting on a call back from a supervisor. I would never shop at Ashley’s ever again
They were the worst place I've ever gotten furniture. The furniture looks great, but how they handle customer service through the phone (bc if you have an issue, that's the only place to talk to, no direct number goes to the store-they say they do, but I NEVER GOT ANYONE in the local store, had to go into the store to speak to someone) is an absolute joke. There's a total disconnect from qhat the store says to what the homestore says about orders. It took me ALL summer and dozens of phone calls to fix multiple issues. They don't have any regard for your time.
Good luck trying to get warranty help. Called three times, the repair is under warranty. Said they would schedule repair, still waiting for nearly a month. Every time I call get the same “system is down” message. Hope I’m not being scammed, but my wife is a lawyer and I really don’t want to go the lawsuit route.
Sales man was pushy. I ended buying something I don’t truly love. Their computers are also not working so I still haven’t even gotten a schedule date for delivery of my furniture.

I purchased a mattress which I putting on layaway and was treated each time of payments with friendly service..then the day of delivery I was contacted with messages that my mattress was on it's way..the 2 gentleman that arrived were very friendly and they did a great job of bringing it up a narrow staircase..they removed the old mattress and placed my new one on the box spring...I can say this was a great experience again ,because every time I have purchased things from Ashley I have been very pleased..

I’m not sure why Google omitted my review, but I had the best experience with Natasha yesterday! My mother and I had come in to pick out a rug and quickly became obsessed with a bed set she’d seen, but reluctantly left it at the store. I came back in later on a time limit and a budget. Natasha recognized me, listened to my concerns, and had everything ready for me within 20 minutes; now my mother is about to be surprised with the bed set she couldn’t stop talking about! Cannot speak highly enough of the experience, see Natasha when you’re ready to buy!

This was by far the worst experience by far. Furniture not delivered when promised making an inconvenience on people’s time and money. Extremely disappointed with the way they carried their business. As an interior designer and decorator i like to be extremely punctual on what i tell my clients my deadline and project will be at a completion. Then to make matters worse spike with a customer service representative and was completely unprofessional. Minimum help and to make matters worse hung up on me in my face because he was not patient enough to look into my order. I will never shop with Ashley furniture again. Value city in Merrillville ask for will great communication and will help out with any and everything. The room place Shavon was an amazing help for me as well. Bought a lot of furniture for the new house from them, Natasha was fantastic!!!!! Very helpful with answering questions and very knowledgeable about the store. I highly recommend Natasha. Unfortunately the 3rd party company they use for delivery needs a upgrade. They canceled and messed up several of my deliveries.

I ordered a bed frame and two night stands one year ago and am still waiting… I paid all of the money up front and have been drug around and lied to by their contracted Indian call center. The actual Ashley furniture corporation will not respond to me. The customer service is awful. Im not one to write google reviews but this experience has driven me to respond publicly.
The store manager, Al was super helpful during our visit and had his associate Natasha helped us through a smooth and enjoyable experience while purchasing our new mattress and bedroom collection. My husband & I can’t thank them enough for such a great experience.

Update... I ended up going into the store in Sept 2021 and spoke with the salesman and manager. Magically, they all of a sudden were able to get a bed from the warehouse and could now deliver my furniture. Three days later my furniture was delivered and damaged. Right away i talked to the guys to set it up and said I did not want to accept it damaged. They told me they leave it here and someone will call me. I called and emailed the manager right away stating that the bed was left at my house damaged. I sent pictures and they agreed it was unacceptable. I've called and asked for follow ups and nothing. So for another 5 months now I have just been hanging with my damaged bed. What a waste of my money. Would of had better luck going anywhere else. Bed set originally purchased November 2020.

We purchased a bedset and paid for setup 4 months ago. They have tried delivering it two times. Two times they forgot the hardware. FOUR MONTHS later, they want us to wait another month for hardware to be delivered. This dumb bed is sitring in parts around my house. Zero stars and I will never buy Ashley again.

I will NEVER shop at Ashley again. We purchased 4 pieces on Dec. 10, 2022 from the Merrillville location. On January 3 they were delivered. The people who delivered the furniture were high and smelling of weed, did not take off their shoes or anything and it was a rainy nasty day....far from the "white glove delivery" they tell you. After they left I realized the back of one of the pieces is broken. We can NOT get a hold of anyone to replace it. I do NOT want a technician to come to my house to fix something that came BROKEN. This is horrible business etiquette. Everytime we try to talk to a manager or someone, we are hung up on. We just built a house and dealt with SO many retailers and never have we been treated this way with such terrible customer service. The sales employees at the Merrillville location flat out told us the broken piece wasn't their problem when we called.
Our service at the store today 1/7/23 and pickup at warehouse were GREAT! John G. is a great salesman, (Merrillville, IN location) was very helpful, and got us checked out in a timely manner. The only downfall to our furniture is that a part of the drawers on our bed was defective but that doesnt take away from our experience at the store, this stuff happens. I called the store immediately this evening and spoke to a very nice gentleman at Merrillville store and sent him pictures via email, so hopefully we can get a new part to replace this one, and hoping to find out Monday 1/9. All in all though we had a great experience, the bed is a great piece of furniture.

I visited the Merrillville, IN Ashley. I had a specific size due to getting the piece in my house. I provided the sales gal, Natasha with a picture and specifics. She assured me I could get the piece in my house the way I instructed it HAD to go. When the couch arrived , it was handled by two drivers not wearing gloves and the couch was totally damaged while roughly shoving the couch in my house. I called Natasha. She refused to call back but shot a text out that after the sale she wasn’t involved. Really???? I drove to the store and talked to the manager. He said they would deliver another couch. This was delivered the same way and I had to get it in the house without their help. The dispatch lady for the trucking company was on speaker phone with the del guys. She was so rude to me and assured the guys “she had their back. To make a long bad story short, it’s December 1st and it was not until earlier this week that the matter was somewhat resolved by Ashley paying for damage to my window. I called time after time and my file is loaded with attempts to clear this up. Unfortunately, I will NEVER shop there again! I called Ashley Corporate and they couldn’t help because it’s a franchise and they don’t support franchised stores. All the sales gal wanted was a sale! Please beware that I was also quoted a delivery price which was almost doubled when I saw it in the delivery ticket. I understand mistakes, but this was one colossal thing after another! The manager did refund my delivery charge. But, how many other people have been jerked around like this!? Furniture buying shouldn’t be this difficult.

John Guider, my young sales professional was amazing and provided the best experience I have experience while shopping for really anything. Greeted us promptly(I was there with my elderly parents getting them recliners) we explained what we were looking for. He knew where everything was at with in the store saving us time and energy, did a great job answer all three of our questions, going over the sale pricing, and delivery. He was very cordial never felt rushed or pushed. John made every aspect of the entire experience very comfortable and a pleasure to spend my hard earned money there. We will be soon! I went into the store and purchased a bed, frame, mattress and headboard. Had delivery set on the 12th of November. 3 days before delivery I get a text saying I need to set a delivery date. Confused because I already had one. My original date was canceled and when I contacted the store I purchased from, I was told by my sales representative, I could rent a truck, drive to Romeoville, IL, ( from northwest Indiana) at 330 on a Saturday to pick it up. Fast forward to the 18th, when it was actually delivered, I started to assemble everything and I was missing hardware, instructions and other miscellaneous items including a whole lamp that was the feature of the headboard. I contacted the store again and they said someone will contact me by next Monday…. Today is Friday. HORRIBLE Business.

The only thing that I would caution consumers on is that there are HUGE price differences between buying online and buying in the store. If we would have bought in the store we would have spent 12K. But since we shopped online and had the store price match it we spent 7K!!! So please check online pricing before you go in the store!!!!!!!!

I love all the furniture. No pressure or anyone following me like the store across the street. Sylvia Walker was my sales lady and very helpful and courteous and pleasant.
I will never purchase furniture from Ashley Furniture again. Ordered a bedroom set in April, couldn’t get the furniture until October… kept pushing our delivery date back and back. At one point they lost our furniture and were looking at a delivery of January for our furniture since that was the next available bedroom set. Finally had a date set to get everything. Never got a call 48 hours before to confirm delivery window. Had to call Ashley the day before to get a window. The day of delivery got a text to track the delivery, tracking number never worked, said it didn’t exist. Cool. Drivers never showed up. They went to the wrong house (even though specific delivery instructions were given for our new build home, AND they had our phone number and never called). We called Ashley that day wondering where the delivery guys were… no one could find them including the store associates. By the end of the day after many calls and wasting our day at home waiting for them to potentially show up… we finally had a new delivery set for the next day…. Delivery day comes… again….bad news… Dresser looks like it’s been beat with a baseball bat on the back and the foot board of the best is also destroyed. We have waited 6 months for this furniture, made many calls to get it to us, fought to get it and it came to us destroyed. We are very frustrated and will never be shopping at Ashley furniture again. Lord knows when we will get the new dresser and foot board… probably be several more months due to “supply chain issues”. We have been inconvenienced more than once and it’s poor costumer dealings and clearly the furniture is treated poorly in the warehouse as well.

It took 90-days to receive my son's bdrm set. I was very disappointed & not satisfied w such business. Moreover, when the set finally arrived, they forgot the hardware to assemble (who does that, smh) & the dresser was damaged. That's not quality customer service.
I enjoyed shopping in this location, Santago Spraggins was very professional, cool staff, very helpful, explaining things in a real customer way, great environment, many things to choose from, I think I like my deal because I was given opportunity to get online deal in the store.

The technician just came out to REPAIR our new chase and the problem isn't even what the other technician said it was and orded parts for!! Now he ordered parts and we wait again!!!
UPDATE 12-3-2022 We were very happy with our experience in the store but are very unhappy with the sleeper sofa we purchased. Looks great but smells horrible. It arrived with a very strong chemical smell that we thought would go away. We have had it for a little over 3 weeks and still has a very offensive smell. We have had a fan in the room running almost constantly to help with the oder but unfortunately it has not. Not sure what our options are but I will be contacting the store manager later today. Hoping someone from the store sees my review and gets in touch with me.
DO NOT PURCHASE Ashley’s “Protect all by GBS” which we were told would be a cleaning/repair service for the next 5 years. We were told the protection plan covered any dirt, stains or repairs on the furniture. We ordered service 8 months into our purchase and the a guy came out and didn’t even attempt to remove the marks on the sofa. He took pictures and said they may replace the upholstery because the stains may not come out. A month later we received an email stating we are not covered. Very disappointing. This is the second furniture set I purchased from Ashley’s and was planning on purchasing a new set but because of this I actually feel like I was scammed into buying the “protection” service. Wish I could be refunded the $300+ I paid for the service. Even more because this service is not what we were told it was at Ashley’s when purchasing the sofa, if I could I’d return the entire set for a refund of the $5k I spent.
You delivered 2 pieces of damaged furniture, you have left me waiting for furniture 5 times and don’t show up, I still have damaged furniture and everyone I call won’t call me back I would. Shame on you I have names, dates etc going all the way back to July
We bought a couch 2 months ago that is pilling terribly. It began with the cushions after only 1 week and has now spread to the back cushions which are attached. The service call came out and documented everything. The stores solution is to send us out new seat covers. This doesn’t help the pilling on the back cushions which are all attached. The customer service rep on the phone said “you’re not getting a new couch.” Our intent is to upgrade to a better quality piece of furniture and pay the difference. This is unnacceptable based on the degree of damage.
I was glad and pleasantly surprised to find what I was looking for in the store. The salesmen went above and beyond to assist me. It was nice to see that Ashley is NOT following other store's by having only online shopping. A lot of customers still want to see true colors, measurements, style, and how it may match their own decor. Please do not change. Thank you.

We ordered furniture in April 2022, had it delivered the second week of august. The ottoman had a huge hole in the bottom and was giving in the middle. I reported both immediately, they gave me a hard time replacing it and now over a month later I still can’t get them to take the charge for a cancelled bed frame off my account. I have been nice and patient and called to try to get a hold of anyone to help, I understand everyone is short staffed and overworked. I have been lied to ( confirmed by Ashley workers) and hung up on when the person feels like they can’t help anymore. I’m so disappointed and will not be going back.

Ordered furniture on June 7th and it was delivered June 30th, which was great! Except…… the recliner did not work when delivered. Supposed to be replaced within a couple of weeks! We are still waiting and not real happy about it as we can’t get any answers
If I could put negative stars I would. Terrible products and even worse customer service when trying to discuss the defective products received. Never again will I settle for their cheap, cardboard furniture. I am blown away that they would sell such terribly made products and then when something goes wrong, they can’t even make an attempt to make it right. Not even something as little as a future discount… nothing! When you pay hundreds of dollars for furniture you expect it to last more than a year. But since their warranty is only for a year, they probably already know it won’t last long.
After waiting almost 3 months for our bedroom set (which I fully understood and anticipated) we were scheduled for delivery (yay!). Our delivery window came and went. When I called I was told that our items were still on back order until mid September. Talk about dropping the ball. They hang up on you when you try to call, as in, rings twice then click. Although customer service tries, there is no compassion or apology for anything. If I didn't love this bedroom set so much I would cancel it and take my business elsewhere. As it stands, I certainly will never shop with Ashley again.

I can now say, "Never trust a used car sales person, nor a pretty woman with a big button and a smile, adding ASHLEY'S to the list. $1000 is an expensive lesson to learn. Absolutely no stars for me. Just like this survey, the only way to post my review is to give them one star. Really!? Trickery continues.

I will never shop with Ashley’s again. After 6 months of waiting and 4 different delivery dates later we finally received the items we purchased. Now we are waiting for a technician to come out because some of the lights in the head board don’t work and the head board has some bad scratches. Communication was terrible and the service was just as bad. Finally enough was enough and my wife went into the store asking to speak to the manger and of coarse he wasn’t in yet. She was told he would contact her as soon as he got there and never did. We have purchased a lot of items from them in the past and never had a problem. After this experience I will never shop with them and definitely not recommend shopping with them.

Ordered product February 27 2022 they had a promised date of 12 to 16 weeks for delivery for our Mattress and bed set . Last time we spoke they were saying late august before it will come in . Still no guarantee for that but they have no issue taking your money though. The customer service is horrible barely speak English or they hang up on you when you call . Suppose to get 2 free pillows that is on our paperwork and agreed on and now they say that was never the deal . We will never go back there again 6 months will be late august and it is getting ridiculous they called us a few weeks ago said everything was in and they show up and part of our order was here not the whole bed set so I sent that back. Buyers be aware don’t waste your money there and how they say you don’t get something you were suppose to it’s wrong I got the receipt and will fight for it .

My boyfriend and I went to the Merrillville location instead of Joliet. The lady helping us was nice but was taking forever on getting the pricing correct for our couch. Once we were finally finished an hour later, as I was getting up she had the nerve to ask me when I’m due (assuming I’m pregnant) I’m chunky but not pregnant looking. I was floored that she asked me that. When I asked when I was what she repeated it and when I said I wasn’t pregnant, she back tracked saying oh your face is glowing. I will never do business at the Merrillville location. We will continue to take our business to the Joliet location.

To start off we waited 12-16 weeks for couches, which we expected. When they came in, we were assigned a date/time and texted to us without seeing if we were even available. Then we had issues with delivery, called multiple times, first time was on hold for 10 min then someone picked up and hung up, second time on hold for 10 min, explained the missing pieces, rep put me on mute for 20 min while he “ordered the missing parts”. I periodically asked if he was still there, he’d say yes with no explanation. After 20 min hung up on me. Finally was able to resolve issue the 3rd call and by the way the 2nd person, for all my hold time, wasn’t ordering my parts at all. Not sure if the strategy was to wear me out? Tried calling the store sales department multiple times in between and it just rang until it hung up so that was no help. Delivery drivers left garbage all over our lawn including someone else’s delivery instructions, didn’t give us any type of receipt, and put two different sets of feet on our couches. At the very least, it shouldn’t be so much work and calling to get ahold of someone to fix their mistake. Wouldn’t shop here again.

The worst company I have ever dealt with , nobody answers the phone , if they do they say they will call back , another lie . We have been trying to resolve our couch issue since this past January and have got nothing done , when the parts are delivered "8" times now they are the same wrong parts , I can't believe this place is still in business , never again will they get my business and I warn you to stay away , they will sell you anything but will go out of there way to avoid you and not honor their commitment to do best for their customers. NEVER AGAIN !!!!
Furniture arrived damaged. No one at the store will help. Manager won’t pick up the phone. They want you to go thru corporate that has 72 hours to email you back. Poor service. They don’t care. Stay away from here!!!
**Update**After months of getting the run around we finally received our furniture... however of course it was damaged and not just minor damage but actual structural damage to the chaise. The arm was dented approximately three inches deep by 12 inches wide. In other words even Hellen Keller would be able to see the noticeable damage let alone feel it. After talking with customer service (due to the delivery drivers practically sprinting out of the house" a new one was ordered. Six delivery dates have come to pass with each time being pushed back farther and farther. At this point just go to your local high school woodshop class for better quality and I guarantee better customer service than this joke of a store.Take everything that they say with a grain of salt. My experience has been so awful that I made a yelp account to review this store. First off the sales rep while at the store wanted to talk about hitler with me. I wish I was joking but unfortunately I am not. We were promised a delivery date which has come and gone which I understand to a degree with how Covid has caused many problems. However when checking in on our order I have gotten three different answers. This would be mildly acceptable if each answer wasn't ten minutes apart. How can a total of 30 minutes change the delivery date and time so significantly. My suggestion for anyone is buy from anywhere else, heck go Amazon where atleast you know when you are receiving your items.

After purchasing La-z-Boy furniture that destroyed my wood floors from their broken furniture it was received broken, or zip tied together, recliners flipping over backwards a lift top table that broke off in my lap, with La-z-boy promises to replace or then fix, then refusing. The I was held hostage to returning all my living room furniture or they would not fix my wood floors. After the return (10 months of this) (Boy I wish I would of seen the multiple La-z-Boy support groups on Facebook prior to walking in their store) they then refused to fix my floors, only offered a small amount of money towards the damage. I walked into Ashley my salesman became my counselor while I was crying looking at furniture so far I’ve only bought one piece because I wasn’t sure what was gonna happen they told me that my new Power sofa would arrive the second week of July I was shocked when it was delivered yesterday there are people who have been waiting for their furniture for two years from La-Z-Boy I was treated with utmost respect and kindness the manager heard me talking and came over to ask what happened I so appreciate how Ashley has helped me
My experience with there home delivery was quite horrible. I was given a confirmed date, had someone stay at my home to be there to receive the delivery,whom I had to pay, and the truck never showed up. When I called to ask what happened I was given a different story by everyone I talked with. Then when given a new date they showed up without my loveseat and had damaged my couch. Now I've been told that the next available date will be the 19th over two weeks after the original date. No one can give a reasonable explanation of what actually happened, and at this point I don't think I would believe them anyway.
Bro my dad freaking ordered a dining set in February. They first told him it would be a 5-7 weeks for delivery. He called after that time and then they said 2-4 weeks. He called after that time and then they said 5-7 weeks. Horrible customer service. We still haven’t gotten the set.
Delivery people left a giant mess of styrofoam pieces everywhere. Didn’t fully put together furniture leaving out screws and doll rods and the product was damaged with scratches and breaks. Can’t find a customer service email address anywhere to send pics and complaints to.
After waiting 6 months, my dining room set finally came. I did not like getting 4 confirmation emails/texts to confirm, but I really l Iiked the tracking link that told me when number I was in the delivery order and exact expected time of arrival. The delivery guys were professional and efficient.
12 weeks everything showed up and delivered in great shape. Even took a nap on my loveseat the power rocker also is so comfortable .
Charley let us look and waited until we wanted his help. Very nice. Excellent in his knowledge and during our purchases.
John was my sales person. He greeted me promptly upon entering the store and explained the layout. He left me alone so I could have time to look at furniture, but checked in on me regularly to see if I had questions. When I did have questions, he gave me his professional recommendations. He was informative and helpful.

I went to this furniture store yesterday. My son was looking for a couch for his new apartment. Although they were not busy and there were many associates, not one came up to us to ask if we needed help. I even saw one man look towards us and walk the other way. So, when we found the couch he wanted to buy, I told my son we could just order it online because none of the associates deserved a sale commission (btw - I don't know if they even work on commission anymore). When we went to the website, the furniture we were considering ALL cost less online than in the store. I'm not talking 20 or 30 less, I'm talking over $ 100. Ashley you need to get it together and hire professional associates. Pretty soon, we will not longer have physical stores because people won't want to deal with lazy salespeople.

I was just told my furniture that my husband and I ordered in November 2021 will not be here untill August 2022 after weeks of phone calls and asking for help no one will help. Do not buy from them!
My husband and I order a table in November 2021. We were told 10-16 weeks. In May 2022 we still had not received it, after many calls we were told an ER ticket would be sent out to expedite the order. 2 weeks later we were told that was not canceled and that whoever put it in was not allowed to do so. They continued to tell me the order would be in by May then June and It is now June and I'm being told we will not receive our order until August. I asked to speak with someone higher up because Im losing hope and believe I should cancel my order and all they can say is we're sorry there's nothing we can do at this time. I would highly suggest going somewhere else for you furniture needs.

We purchased around 15K in furniture from back in December. We were told it we be 12 weeks for delivery. We thought that was a long time and we understand there are supply chain issues; however it's been over 26 weeks and have been told it will be September before we receive our items. We have our doubts to say the least. We do not recommend this company in it's entirety. Ashley has done nothing to solve the issue and continue to build or attempt to build the items in Vietnam even two and a half years after the pandemic started. Poorly run and poorly managed! Shame on you Ashley Furniture!

HORRIBLE communication- still waiting for a refund check- now they are saying it will take a month. Last week they said it would arrive this week. Managers are never on duty and customer service is a joke. Go anywhere else but Ashley to buy your furniture- HORRIBLE experience.
I purchase a bedroom ser and two dressers in December 2021. I was told it would take about 8 weeks maybe 10. It took 22 weeks and 48 phone calls to expedite. I am waiting for a partial refund since they did not put any of the drawers handles on. If you decide to purchase from Ashley in Merillville, IN just know that you will not be able to reach your salesperson, you will sit on hold for hours trying to get answers and if they need to refund you- well get ready to wait- I am still waiting. I will buy my furniture anywhere else in the universe but an Ashley Homestore- HORRIBLE! Buyer beware!!

Bought $12,000 worth of furniture from this place, the furniture is made so cheap it's only made to last a year to get past their manufactures warranty and they sell you a 5-year protection plan thats only purpose is to relieve them of any responsibility of having to stand behind the products they make and to give the customers a false sense of security to spend their hard-earned money on the cheap furniture, The furniture protection warranty company will tell you that any damage is due to a manufacturers defect and it's not covered under the plan and refer you to the manufacturer. And they discontinue the cheap furniture after a year so even it can't be fixed because you can, get the parts.
I don't recommend. After waiting over 4 months for my overpriced sofa. It did not come as scheduled, although delivery was confirmed at least 3 xs. I took the day off work looking foward to the arrival of my new furniture only for it not to come. Once I called delivery I was informed they don't know when I will get my furniture. I was informed to call back on the next business day to see if delivery could be made. Poor customer service
Our sales women Debra was great and helped us get the set we want and keep it in our budget. We already have purchased a kitchen set several years ago as well as a bed and they are both holding up great.

Officially over a year since I placed my bedroom set order and still have not received the whole order. Ican about once a month to check the status and it changes every time. I have received the bed and dresser but still waiting on mirror, chest and nightstand. The mirror was in but still had to wait on the other two items for delivery. I feel like delivering a mirror is the LEAST you could do. I called to check the status of the other items and suddenly the mirror is not at the warehouse anymore. They sell your stuff to other people if your whole order is not in which only delays my stuff more. Terrible customer service. You can't call the stores. I really hope my 3 pieces are in when they are supposed to be. Probably won't be though.

They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I ordered a couch in September 2021. Was called multiple times and asked to come pick up two out of the 5 pieces before the rest was even at their warehouse. Finally after being threatened that if I didn't come get the two pieces they couldn't guarantee the other three would be in anytime soon. So I had to pick up my couch in two parts and a month apart! When I finally get it together two of the pieces where damaged. One so bad I couldn't even put the couch together. After two weeks of arguing they picked the two pieces up. Only to be told I am to pick them back up once they are fixed. But they can't tell me when they will be fixed. They refused to acknowledge their mess up and continue to make me feel like this was my fault. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone even if I had a gun to my head. For your own sake: STAY AWAY!!!
Bought a dining set .. Delivered damaged 3 times purchased last yr August can’t get uh replacement til next August.. They told me I can replace with a different table but I have to keep the chairs and bench that do not match anything else.. I’ve been hung up on ..long phone waiting times.. This is not what I signed up for..No one wants to help me 😩
Finally I found something affordable that I wanted and not something I settled for. I was happy that I caught my couch and love seat on special. The only drawback is due to the current state of manufacturing and warehousing I won't receive my items for some time, 10-14 weeks but this is something I found I was going to have to deal with at all the stores I shopped. Hopefully all goes well and I get my couch sooner than later.

Waited 5 months for our sectional, and received it broken , the recliners wouldnt open because the frames were bent and when we called to get it replaced, they said they would call us back with information and never did. Customer service sucks and no one knows what they are doing !! Horrible quality especially for waiting so long and i still cant enjoy it. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Spend the extra dollars somewhere else and get something nice
Worst experience I’ve ever had. Ordered 10k in furniture last June. Have yet to receive it. Took off work today to be home for partial delivery. They never showed up. They said they don’t know what happened but now it’s another week we have to wait and then they’ll probably give us another date. I have cancelled everything except the bed and only half of the frame is coming next week if it even does. Was in the store a few weeks ago and they were telling people 10-12 weeks out. That’s what they told us last June…

My wife is on-site now trying to resolve a furniture delivery that was scheduled for today. She had some back and forth with ashley text and was told "sorry she didn't like the answers she was getting " after being told the delivery was a month out. She took a day off of work to be home for this delivery. Calls the store asking to speak to someone in charge and get transfered to someone refusing to ID themselves asking why they transfered he to them ? Then hangs up on her. After calling corporate they tell her that this is a 3rd party store and as such she might have better success going on site. This is God awful service.
All the furniture is cheaply made it’s only made to last a year to make it past their manufacturers warranty and then pass all liability to totally useless scam warranty company that will always find a way to not honor a claim and to revert to the manufacturer. 5 year protection plan is a total SCAM.
My wife and I had a pleasurable experience while shopping for a bedroom set at Ashley Homestore in Merrillville, Indiana. Cliff and Sylvia were very professional and took good care of us. Cliff guided us to the perfect bedroom set and Sylvia secured our financing. When we return in the future we’ll most definitely request their services.

She had more expertise than most in the industry and my husband and I ended up buying everything from Ashely that day. John Guider at the Ashley Homestore in Merrillville IN was very helpful and patience. The store was busy but he went out of his way to make sure he answered everything question to the utmost. He was there when we need him and when we didn't he gave us our space.
My fiancé and I went to Ashley’s to purchase a new mattress at the end of December. The gentleman who helped us was amazing and we had talked with him a couple times before while just browsing. On December 12 we purchased a mattress, bed frame, and the base for our mattress. We were told we would have the mattress and base to the mattress by December 21st. When that didn’t happen I waited a few days and called customer service to check the order and was told I’d have the mattress and base by the 28th of December. When that didn’t happen I called again and the customer service rep said it should be scheduled for delivery in the beginning of January. I called again today and was told I should have a delivery date of January 20th. I am at a loss on what to do and very disappointed in the terrible communication skills. I was not told 12-14 weeks like some and I should have been told that when I purchased the mattress. They’re making commission while I’m being jerked around and never getting a definitive answer to where my bed is. I probably will not shop here again and I am very tempted to cancel my whole order.

I left a review before ever receiving my couch and I regret that. It was such a good experience at first and it has turned into the worst. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. You can’t get through to anybody and once you finally do they tell you they can’t help you and you have to come into the store. If you go into the store they give you a phone number to call. One associate will tell you one thing, and then the next will tell you something completely different putting you out of money. I will never order from Ashley again.

It took 9 months to get half of my furniture and 2 of them came damaged. The guys setting up are so quick and didn’t finish putting in my shelves and say it’s preference when there is clearly only set of holes to put the shelves. I used like Ashley’s furniture but this was a huge let down

There were several sets of couches that I loved. However, some of them were overpriced or not sturdy enough. My sales person, Santago Was able to assist me with finding the perfect couch for me in my budget. He was extremely patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. I chose the Luxora sectional with an oversized leather chair and Ottoman to complement it. I would recommend Ashley furniture to anyone needing items for their home

I have received furniture that was definitely less than par and have had two appts where a person was to come out and determine the status of the damage. We arrived less than an hour before closing to browse and received such exceptional service from Tiffany that we ended up leaving with a new couch and bed frame! We visited a different location the day before and decided to browse one more time for a second review of items we were considering. Tiffany was amazing in helping us get set up with financing, determining best offers available, shipping and processing our order. The store had been closed almost an hour when we left and every associate remaining was still very friendly. The selection of items is great with a few more items than the Chicago location we visited the day before. Shipping to be expected is a little long but we were given an up front and honest shipping time that’s pretty standard due to shipping delays. We were furniture shopping all day and ended up getting our sectional couch, bed frame and shipping for an amazing deal, about the cost of what other stores were charging for just one item. The quality and style is more modern than a lot of other competes well. We will be back to this location to continue furnishing our new home and thank Tiffany for all her help!

I really enjoyed my visit to Ashley and I found my beautiful furniture. I went to other stores in the area and seemed like everybody had gray black white dark brown furniture. Any other colors would be special order and you know that means special money too. Went to Ashley and found a good deal for the furniture which allowed me to pay cash. Went home came back the next day and got the matching chair and was able to pay cash as well because of the good deals they have. The sales reps that was a great help was Steve and since he wears his doctors jacket I consider him the Doctor of Ashley Homestore. He was extremely helpful and just talking with him about the furniture you'd think he designed every piece in the store. I give him 5 stars as well!!!

I bought a couch and kitchen table In July 2020 for about $3500. Didn't receive it until late October 2020, March 2021 the couch broke, April 2021 the table broke. Ashleys repair company was out to my house 4 times and my couch is still broken. Finally got a new table October 15th 2021. They can't fix the couch and won't give me a refund, they just want me to pick out another piece of junk couch they make. Ashley's quality is awful, don't spend a dime in this companies stores. Today is November 4th and I still have a BROKEN couch in my living room. Awful customer service. Very dissatisfied!I almost forgot, to get another couch from Ashley (which I don't want) I have to pay another delivery fee of $189I WANT A FULL REFUND!

We ordered a couch & other furniture in June they told us 10-12 weeks. We moved into our new house in July & sold all our furniture expecting all our new furniture to come in soon. This is the end of October we still have no couch to sit on & missing other furniture. We stopped by the store to see why when we call the automated system it now says 14-16 weeks STILL!!! The gentleman helping me said I’d get a call back from him once he talked to someone on the phone … Never heard back from him !!! Don’t you think someone should be calling us giving us other options because at this point this couch is never coming .. I guess I’ll have to go back into the store and cause a scene … Thanks lazy non communitive sales employees at Ashley … They get their commission & don’t care that you never received your product … Still missing couch , fire pit & outdoor chair!!! It’s been 4 months & now they’re saying 14-16 weeks still … Ridiculous!!!!!
Quick and easy process to order furniture. It was also cheaper to order in store compared to online.
We found our dining room 7 piece set for $1,300 and mattress for $1,600 with the help of two of their workers and they were both amazing. We told her what we were looking for and she knew exactly what we needed on their in stock furniture. I would go back and i would work with them again on furnishing the rest of the house. Great and spectacular customer service stayed open after hours to help me get what I needed for my home.
I have had many difficulties in trying to reach someone on the phone at this specific store in Merrillville IN like 44 other customers here. If you click the “calls” topic under reviews you can see 44 other customers complaining about the same exact thing at this location giving a 1 star review. Meaning they don’t care to fix the issue. I call the store line press 3 and line rings endlessly. Have tried to reach out multiple days, many different times, consecutively and no answer. Corporate customer service unable to help as well only repeating that I dial the store line and press extension 3. Would really appreciate a problem solver here, yet only received automated responses. I would not recommend coming to this specific store. You would be better off going to a different location and rolling the dice somewhere else.

This location has a great selection on the floor. It was so easy to find what we wanted. My family and I browsed and once we were ready the Stephanie wasted no time assisting us. The application process was quick and easy. She explained everything everything throughly. Visit time was about 45 mins.
We came in for the second time and we were pretty sure of what we wanted. Rylee helped us and gave us our space to look around but still stayed close to answer questions. We bought a sofa & Love seat and Mattresses and had an amazing experience. She even worked to get us the best deal.

Looked at four other stores to find dining room chairs. They either didn’t have any we liked or it wouldn’t be able to deliver until January. We walked in and we were greeted by Riley. Told her our needs and she took us to a set she thought we would like. Within a half hour we made our purchase and had a delivery date by early November. We will not go anywhere else except this location!! Had same experience ordering a television stand. Found what we wanted and were out quickly!!

Very poor customer service. Our sales person informed us that our old couches would be taken away when the new ones were delivered. Nearly 6 months later when they delivery shows up we are told that this isn't true. The driver threatened to leave since the couches were not ready and then called ashley corporate stating my wife was yelling at him. When I called customer service to complain I was bounced around several times. I finally had a lady agree to remove the full delivery fee which I agreed to, but stated I still wanted to speak to a supervisor to explain how poor the driver handled things. After being transferred the supervisor told me I would only get half off my delivery fee. NO amount of asking to speak to someone else worked and I was essentially told if I don't take the refund then I would likely end up with nothing. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.
If only there was a 0 star option. My pregnant fiance bought a sectional in the beginning of June with a two month delivery time line. Since then the delivery date has been rescheduled three times now. After four months with out a couch Ashley cant find the other half of our sectional and has projected a potential delivery date of December. That is 6+ months after purchasing in full. Terrible service and when you call the store no one answers...

First stopped here November 2020 to ordered furniture for an upcoming house. Spent near $15,000. Natasha was great. Fast forward to June 2021 - went back to see Natasha about a guest bedroom set. Found a set we were happy with… ETA of deliver - 12 weeks. We didn’t mind waiting. Time care around and it kept getting pushed back because of missing pieces. During that time, I again visited Natasha for a desk-chair combo. She said it was 12-16 weeks out but said that my previous order can be delivered as a partial order asap. I was okay with that, just wanted to get the guest bedroom set. I went to another Ashley Store to inquire about the desk - they guaranteed I could get it in a week. They called me to schedule delivery, I confirmed that delivery and also inquired about another delivery for the bedroom set. The customer service agent confirmed both orders were to be delivered on 9/10/21. My wife took off work to be there. I got home from work and was questioned about the bedroom set, so I texted Natasha - NEVER RESPONDED. Got her attention when threatening to cancel. Too little. Too late. Went to another store to rectify the situation. Getting a better deal and getting the equipment quick. Natasha was great once. But not following up, not answering texts…. And lying about availability of products. Wow. I will not shop at this location ever again.

She touched base with us occasionally. She gave us an estimate for the pieces we were interested in and then we left. We went back today, asked for her, and purchased the 3 pieces. She was very professional and patient. Never felt pressure and that is great. Will definitely be back.
One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had with any company, period. First, they will lie to you about the backorder time length to get you to place the order. Then, they won't call you to tell you it's not being delivered on the promised date until you call to inquire. Then, they won't confirm when it will even be in stock. Then, when you try to get a refund, they'll tell you they simply can't do that and that if you cancel, you'll have to start all over somewhere else, as if they care. Then, after several phone calls in which they are condescending as if you're the one with the problem and after repeatedly demanding a refund, it was finally issued. Never again.
The assistant manager Shay was great! Answered all our questions ,helped us pick out and coordinate furniture styles.Shay also took time to go over all payment options and extras which was greatly appreciated, our experience was great so if you go to Ashley's furniture store ask for Shay.

Their customer service is lousy & their stores don't answer their phones. Customer call center tells you the Mgrs are not in and will have to call us back in 24 to 48 hrs, THEY DON'T! I called 4 times in 1-1/2 months to get our 1 yr. old furniture fixed, for the 2nd time, [2 times too many] thru the warranty that they sold us. GOT OUR MONEY but no one returns calls to honor the warranty or fix the furniture, including the warranty company. I would never do business with them again and would not recommend them to anyone else either. Stay away & avoid headaches.

This store is incompetent. I bought a sectional couch, when delivered it had 2 of the same arm facing pieces. Second attempted delivery was the exact same incorrect piece. Third attempted delivery was set up, I called customer service to confirm item to be delivered, and yet again the wrong item would have been sent. I couldn’t get ahold of anyone on the phone who could resolve my problem, I had to go back to the store in person, and wait for 45 minutes to speak with a manager who could help me. I’m still awaiting delivery. Never again will I shop at Ashley Home Store!!!!!

I bought a sectional and recliner from Ashley a little over a year ago I also purchased an extended warranty. Within a week of purchase the mechinism on the recliner had to be replaced. Now I am having issues with the recliner that is attached to the sectional. The plasic handle broke off. I called the warranty company they said they would fix it, it has been over a month now. I keep getting the run around. I was told they had to see if they carry the part and they would get back to me. Then I was told Ashley is not respoding to thier request. Twice I was told by warranty company they would expedite the order for replacement and now it has been over a month and I still have not received a phone call or anything! I paid a lot of money for this furniture because it carried the "Ashley " name. Now I am stuck with expensive furniture I can not use! Not only is the attached recliner n ot functioning the quality if the sectional is poor. The cushions are already sagging and material is wearing. My previous set of furnitur has lasted over 25 years and still looks pretty good. This furniture from ASHLEY is under 2 years old and is falling apart. ASHLEY DOES NOT STAND BY THIER FURNITURE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!

We went on Monday and Sylvia was very attentive and always make sure to respond to any of our question. We were not ready to make a decision. When we came back a few days, she was not working unfortunately. But her colleague, Jorian step up and made comfortable and we went ahead and purchased our sectional. We made a purchase because we saw something we were very interested in, but if we were on the fence about it and would have chose to leave she wouldn’t have done anything to figure out was we needed. Not our typical experience normally much better customer service however we walked away satisfied with our purchase.

I have been trying to buy a sofa for over a week at Merrillville location, NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE! WHATS GOING ON ??? I LOVE THIS STORE, BUT I GUESS THEY MUST BE TAKING NAPS ON THE FURNITURE, FINALLY AFTER GETTING IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE, THEY PROMISED TO CALL ME BACK, NEVER DID! I'M SO AGGRAVATED ABOUT THIS, I'M A SENIOR and disabled and dont have a way to get around or have time to be given the run around for days. I finally was able to order my sofa TODAY. LOOKS LIKE THE SAME COUCH I WANTED BUT HAS A DIFFERENT ITEM #. NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK. I HOPE I GET MY SOFA SOON. THIS WAS A TERRIBLE ORDEAL. I was transferred to people in Texas, Florida, and Louisiana. The lady in Louisiana took time to explain things and was caring. She was pleasant. She did say the soonest for my delivery was the end og August. I hope its of this year.

Phone call after phone call trying to get a legit answer. was lied to by the delivery call center, took a day off of work to wait for a driver that never showed up, it has been 2 months and i still dont have all of my items. Nothing in stock unfortunately and couldn't sell the floor model. 3 to 8 weeks wait for shipping. I ended going 20 minutes away and found what I needed in stock so I took it home the same day. Please have your sale items in stock. I really wanted to give you my money, but someone else scored it instead.
I wouldn't buy here. Reasons: Just had couch set delivered yesterday, I noticed the damage right away and tried to call the store and no answer for hours and hours. I was forced to go to the store and show them the damage and was told I have to email customer service because the manager was on vacation so now I have to do all the running around and leg work to get my brand new couch repaired? That ain't right, mind you I just had knee surgery 2 days ago. Would never buy here again and would not recommend. Edit: couch was delivered June 4th and it's June 28th. Still not repaired.
Just bought a bedroom set with Steve and experience was great. Went out of his way to measure the mattresses we purchased to see how they would sit on the bed frame and how we could go about raising them. Very impressed with his knowledge of the set I purchased and super friendly.
Customer Service communication is terrible. I have been told 3 different times a call would be coming to discuss concerns with my sectional. No calls ever come so I have to keep reaching out. Today I waited for a half hour to speak to a manager that never answered. Past ridiculous.

Honestly one of the best customer service experiences l’ve had in a while. We were immediately greeted upon entering by Chase and he answered all of our questions perfectly. I didn’t feel pressured by him at all, gave us perfect amount of space and continually checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay and looked up every piece of furniture we had questions about! Usually feel uncomfortable when sales people hover over my shoulder.. but honestly had the best experience here. Helped us pick out our perfect couch and ran through every last detail since this was our first time. I’ll 100% come back here for any other furniture needs, but specifically will ask for Chase!! 10/10 service!!
My wife and I stopped in and were immediately greeted with great energy by Chase. He asked what we were looking for and we let him know we just wanted to look around for a bit. Very Friendly Staff
I placed a simple order for two lamps almost three weeks ago. Was told they would be sent via UPS to my home. Since they have not arrived, I have tried calling many times to check on the status. The 800 number has no record of the order. The local store in Merrillville IN does not answer the phone- EVER!!! I am some distance from the store so am not able to go to inquire. How can I get them to answer the phone so I know what is happening with my order. I will never shop here again unless I can leave with the item in hand.

My sales lady Natasha, had to work to make my sale. Because of the pandemic, delivery dates were pushed way out ( two months). After talking to her on the phone and hearing this, I told her I would continue to shop around or wait for a while before making a purchase. Ten minutes after talking to her, she was able to find the dining set I was looking for, with a two week delivery date. She confirmed it with the warehouse and called me back the next day with the confirmed delivery date before having me drive out to make the purchase. Thanks Natasha and Ashley Home Store, I can't wait to get my beautiful dining room set in my dining room.

I had the pleasure of Natasha at the Merrillville IN store helping me. I walked in and she approached me. I was in a hurry and said that I would go to her with any questions I may have. She stepped away and did what I wish most employees would do at these types of stores. I ended purchasing a couch and loveseat.
With the help of Ms. Sylvia I was able to find a beautiful bedroom set. She took her time pricing items to see which discount would work best for my budget. Once she handed me over to the finance department (Ms. Lucinda) it was a smooth transaction from there. Overall my experience was easy and enjoyable.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Late last year my wife and I purchased a 5000 dollar chocolate brown leather power reclining sectional from your Merrillville location. I had to wait some time for the delivery due to the pandemic, which I completely understood. On Jan 20th, the furniture was delivered. Immediately I noticed a peculiar bump in the armrest under the leather, but assumed that to be part of the design, and I did not wish to have the delivery people take the loveseat back as we had been w/o living room furniture for days while awaiting delivery. After going back to the store to look again at the floor model, I realized that my own loveseat had a defect. Something underneath was pushing the leather outward. I called Ashley and they agreed to send a tech out to "repair" the furniture. He assessed two things that I concurred with. That the bumps in the armrest were likely from staples sticking out of the wooden frame underneath. I also had a rectangular outline protruding from the side of the center council that we agreed was likely due to the way the excess material had been folded underneath during manufacture. Although I had been sent spare leather to use for the armrest in case it was needed, the technician assured me he could tack the stables down from over the leather. I voiced concern that hitting leather with a hammer with a protruding staple underneath would damage the material; he assured me it could be done if he went about it carefully. The "repair" put a small hole in the leather and left staple sided indentations. The rectangular protrusion from the folded material he assured me would "fall out" as the material broke in over time. Unsatisfied, I called customer service to complain and request a replacement. I was informed that the furniture protection policy was only for repairs, not replacements, to which I replied that their "repair" only caused further damage. They agreed to ship me a replacement. That replacement was scheduled to arrive last week. The delivery people got lost and never appeared. I got two phone calls from an unrecognized number but no voicemails were left. If no v/m is left, I assume unknown numbers are spam calls. Dispatch never called and I never recieved word, until the robocall from Ashley attempted another delivery which is supposed to happen this Friday. Against our better judgement, we also ordered an end table and lift top cocktail table in March. I sent back the first two delivery attempts. The first time, the furniture had a lot of chips, and the second attempt, the table was actually CRUSHED. (I also experienced the same ineptitude with delivery, as the drivers on one occasion literally drove past my neighborhood, then past my house, and STILL got lost.) I accepted the third table despite the fact that there was a small surface imperfection, because how many times must I spend 3 hours waiting at home? I called Ashley for a repair.....i figured it would be an easy fix. When the tech arrived, not only was his repair ugly looking and obvious for such a small imperfection, the entire repair rubbed away with the slightest touch after I let it "cure" for two days! The technician also managed to stain our 400 dollar living room rug with the repair material. We are now awaiting another "repair". We are now in August, and after having a third power reclining loveseat delivered, we STILL have not received a product up to our standards. The leather in the armrest is creased and has a hole, and once again we have staples protruding from under the leather. It's been 7 months now. Wtf is wrong with this company?
Merrillville store was very informative comparing it to the highland store. The highland store wanted to charge more and kept trying to push more items i didnt need to buy. Sylvia at the Merrillville store, took the time to explain everything and didn't push any other item that i didn't need. With the discount she gave me , I actually saved about $400. The only complaint I have is that the item I bought is on back order to September maybe longer.
My boyfriend and I went in to just look at some bedroom sets and to see what the prices would be. We got a really nice salesman named Charles who pointed us in the direction of the sets and explained the deals to us. He was nice enough to give us our space to look around. When we finally liked a set he sat us down and broke down the costs and even introduced us to the mattresses. We got a great deal. Thank you Charles Adams..

I have a review im still waiting on parts for a coffee table i ordered in march delivered on apr 7 missing a wheel. I paid for white glove service and have been given the run around since apr 8. I stuck with a 600 table that is unleveled because of the missing wheel. I called both your texas and tenn call centers everytime i try to get a straight honest answer they give me runaround. I cant even get to manager my local store is no help. They now are telling me may 26 for the wheel. Im feed up. Maybe your social media coordinator can help me since your customer service dept is a joke.
Don’t buy here and definitely don’t buy the protection plan cause it’s just a joke. Got a stain they sent out a new cushion sleeve and doesn’t even match at all and then said that’s all they can do cause if dyes are changed that excluded. So now I’m screwed with a mismatched cushion. Go to somewhere else where the customer matters.
I can’t stress this enough. DO NOT go to Ashley furniture. Basically been sleeping with a mattress on the floor (mind you im very pregnant), there are random furniture pieces all over my floor (we moved them along our walls because tripping hazard.. again IM PREGNANT), we paid for assembly & ended up putting our own bedroom set together, still didn’t even have all the parts to do it properly, was hung up on by a customer service person, was told MULTIPLE times I would be “receiving a call back” NEVER ONCE did I actually receive a call. I had to call. Currently trying to put in the last drawers but can’t because one of the screws is completely stripped... this is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Also received ZERO compensation for anything that has happened. Ashley Furniture TERRIBLE company especially if you have issues.

10 out of 10 for sure! We went into a place next door looking for a sofa and they basically wanted to rip us off and we still wouldn’t have had it in our living room until late July! We decided to try Ashley’s and we were greeted at the door by a nice lady I believe named Dionne Cole and we told her what we were looking for and she walked us around the store and showed us what was on clearance and what wasn’t. We fell in love with a nice 3 piece set that was just brought on the floor $700 off the original price and was able to buy it and take it home this following weekend. Very happy! This was one of my first at home purchases for my new place and I’m not disappointed

I love the variety of furniture Ashley has to offer. I wish after spending quite some bit, Ashley would include shipping for free. I also wish there were better deals the sales people are allowed to offer. We used to shop here years ago and were able to score great deals from the associates we worked with. Now it seems they don't offer much but 5 percent more than what the store is offering.

The store was busy when we first entered, which was okay, it gave us the opportunity to browse because at that point we were just comparison shopping. Worst place to buy anything, stay away and save your self the headache. Went to this location to buy two bedsets for my home. This was in Oct, I had to call multiple times to get status updates on the bed sets. Came to find out in Dec that one of the bedsets was backorder and discontinued. Never received a call from them I always had to call. So I canceled one of the bedsets. Now that it's April I receive a call from the finance company stating I'm two months late. I never received a bill to my house. Finance company said ashlys had a whole different address. Also finance company is showing a pending transaction, which is the bed set I canceled and never received! I've had called ashlys multiple times about this. Still not resolved. STAY AWAY from this place. Regret going here I will never recommend any one to go here

If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD! I am highly dissatisfied with Ashley Furniture (Merrillville, IN). I called SEVERAL times in hopes to purchase a mattress that I had seen the day before but could not get through to anyone. The phone just rang, rang and rang! I then called a customer service line who emailed my location with my information, in hopes that this store would get back to me but they never did. I went out of town and was trying to pay for this mattress but I could not even get a call back! I then came back from out of town and went into the store to see if the mattress was still there and it wasn't! I then approached a manager sitting at a desk that was actually BY A PHONE that could have been used to call me back on! And when I explained the situation to him, he did not apologize or even try to make the situation right! This could have been an EASY $600 sale but instead, I took my business to Value City where they assisted me in person and OVER THE PHONE! I will not ever fo business with that Ashley Furniture and I will make sure to continue my reviews on other sites about my experience! I just moved into my first apartment and I was really excited to do the rest of my shopping at Ashley but it was ruined by the entire experience of me trying to get the mattress and how that manager treated my complaint at the store!

We ordered a couch a few months ago and it finally came in. Unfortunately our previous sales person forgot to put the ottoman on our order, so we were forced to go back and order it separately. They compd us with an additional 5% off which was nice, but I wish they could have done more because we are waiting another 3 months for the last piece now. But overall I'd say 5 stars for the couch 3 stars for the inconvenience and small comp for a total of 4 stars.

Sale person lied to my wife and I when selling the table we bought. We were told there was a heat shield on the table top and that was a lie, we also were told the warranty we purchased would cover any problems if the table wasn't fixable we would get a new one and that also was a lie. The warranty company Ashley Furniture uses never covers anything we have bought multiple Furniture from Ashley tried using the warranty and get denied. So we will no longer purchase from Ashley the Furniture is cheap and they lie to make sales don't loss out on thousands like my family has.

This was the 2nd Ashley store in IN that my went to looking for 2 particular sectionals. The 2nd store no one even acknowledged nor asked how they could assist us. And both stores had pretty much the same identical prices of furniture whereas their site offers much more. Very disappointed in Ashley furniture. Not just because we didn't see what we were looking for, but for the fact that they should've offered a variety between the 2 stores that are literally 20 minutes apart.
I have shopped with Ashley on a couple of occasions now. this last time Sylvia helped us with a living room set. we are very picky and she was so patient, helpful and professional! the staff there is amazing! Sylvia and Shay have helped us and they are both wonderful!

Love your selection of couches and mattresses! This was my first time buying a couch. We had met with Chase. Awesome salesman! He was nice and friendly and made me feel welcomed. He Introduced himself about couple mins after walking in. He kept his distance which was great bc I didn’t feel pressured or anything and was able to take my time and actually look and see what I wanted.

I can’t wait to get my new table! It’s perfect! The sales associates greeted us warmly and did not pressure us to work with them... my husband and I like to browse without a shadow. We were able to walk the whole store in interrupted and find something we really liked. As soon as we were ready our greeting sales agent was easy to find and helped us through the purchase without pushing us to by accessories etc. Overall probably my best experience working with a sales person. I also feel that there is a great value in what I paid for my table. It is well crafted.

We went in and the person greeted us and told us to wave if we needed her. After two rounds of the store and waving , we just could nt spot the person, so we left without any purchase. The setup is similar to other Ashley's with probably some more unique designs. Good place for furniture buying, but just need better customer service. Happy furniture shopping!

I wondered through maze of sofas, sectionals, and love seats when I stumbled across Shay, who politely offered her assistance. I explained to Shay that I just moved to a new town and needed a new living room and bedroom set and you know what Shay did...she LISTENED.. and her attentiveness was almost on a surgical level. Just to reiterate, her attention to detail was out of this world. She guided us to a handful of bedroom sets, all of which could have worked perfectly in the space, where we finally landed on the perfect set. We decided to move forward while we explored A living room set. After some brainstorming, comfort testing, and personable conversations, the living room set was acquired and we proceeded to checkout. Shay informed us of the 10-12 week delay, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and luckily we were fine with this. Shay then fled the scene to wrap our order up so we could pay and proceed with our day, but not before educating us on the phenomenal Protection plan Ashley’s had to offer. It was a no brainer for us, as we have a demon dog straight from the pits of hell, and a very crafty 6 year old boy who tag teams with the demon dog in crafty plots of terror throughout the house. We added it on, payed cash for our order and lived our happy lives. *10-12 weeks later* Shay informs me that my bedroom set was just discontinued, and I would have to reselect for another bedroom. Shay also informed me that my living room set would be even more delayed, as my living room set was given to a larger order in hopes of saving the larger sale. I appreciated the honesty, as the first rule in business is honest communication, and proceeded to take my frustration out on the customer care. I wanted to know why this happened, and how I could avoid any other delays as they were scheduled another shipment of my living room within the next couple weeks. They offered to waive my delivery fee for the inconvenience, and I left under the impression my delivery fee was waived. I scheduled another appointment with Shay to reselect my bedroom set and was delighted to finally have some progress to this now 3 month ordeal. After scavenging the store, we decided to use our funds on a new mattress instead of running the risk of never receiving any furniture from this unreliable multi-million dollar franchise. We were told the mattress would take 2-3 weeks and the sectional would accompany the mattress delivery. Leaving the store optimistic, and nearly $7,000 cash paid to Ashley, we waited anxiously for our delivery call. Shay kept us informed throughout the waiting period, but informed us that our sectional wouldn’t be in until April and that I would have to wait. Considering it would be 7 months from the original time of purchase, we both agreed it was best to cancel the living room all together. Having zero trust left with this shady franchise, we decided to keep a closer eye on our mattress delivery. We would reach out to customer “care” which would send us on a wild goose chase for days on end just to receive a date. Irritated, aggravated and annoyed, I finally got a hold of someone to cancel my entire order all together. I thought I was finally going to have my money back, and had plans on buying my new Tempur-pedic from Judy at Mattress Firm just down the street, when Shay called me with some reassuring news...the mattress could be delivered the following week. We decided to jump on this, as we were already waiting on a refund from the sectional and did not want to tie up more of our money. Shay reassured us she would check on the order daily, and she stayed true to her word. Shay has proven time and time again her Exceptional customer service artistry, and shielded us from her dysfunctional organization and horror of a customer “care” department.. if it wasn’t for Shay, this review would be a 1. She deserves to represent a organization will follow through and DELIVER and most certainly deserves a promotion, bonus, and raise..probably even a national award for her service, dedication and CARE

Ordered living room set back in August 2020. The furniture was finally going to be delivered February 2, 2021. They text to schedule the delivery and then called to confirm the day before and then, the day of, I find out that there is a hold on the furniture for some reason?! Unacceptable! I currently have no furniture in my living room, that our family uses on a daily basis because of Ashley's mistake. I have been easy going for 6 months due to coronavirus etc., but this was just ridiculous! We have other furniture from them in the past but I will NEVER step foot into a Ashley Furniture store again.
We had a great experience bought 2 different piece of furniture in the last month. They let us just browse around the store checking in on us every little while. They answered every question we had with great knowledge.

HORRIBLE NEVER SHOP HERE OR GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!!! THEY ARE CROCKS AND DO NOT STAND BEHIND THERE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEE! My Girlfriend purchased a Tempur Pedic bed for our new home with the fancy base ect, We purchased the bed over the holidays and took 2+ weeks to deliver, upon delivery I told the delivery driver this is not the right size and instead of a queen we needed a king. The delivery driver continued to deliver and unpack the mattress, he told me to contact the store in the morning. ( I might add it was 8:30pm and our delivery window had long expired) He had me sign NOTHING as far as paper work and i told him i was refusing delivery. We did NOT sleep on the mattress. The next day we called the store and explained we would be more than willing to pay a delivery fee and the cost difference in the products. The Sales manager was extremely rude and told me "No return or exchanges"...... No where on my paper work does it state this... we spent over $8,000 and was told "You accepted the delivery there is nothing Ashley will do"..... I explained to him no where did we accept this delivery. I offered to pay pick up fee even.... The Sales manager Alan said " Sir you there are no refunds you paid in the store and accepted delivery, we offer no refunds or exchanges period". Even though they sold us on a 90-day comfort guarantee they provide. I am now dealing with my credit card company and BBB. i have also learned this has happened to many other customers. This company is the furthest from Customer service possible. This is why Amazon is taking over the retail world. I try to shop local and get screwed in the process...... NEVER SHOP AT ASHLEY FURINTURE. I hope they make this right but it does look good....
I have never written a review before in my life and this situation warrants more than a bad review but this is a start. We purchased a matching couch and chair from Ashley Furniture in Merrillville, IN in late 2018. Around September 1st of 2020, the couch broke. You could literally hear the snap and you can see a board hanging down at the bottom of the couch. We are average sized people and we were not bouncing on the couch like children. It was a normal use piece of furniture. In fact, it is not the main, most used couch in the house. We went to the Ashley store in Merrillville, IN because no one answers the phone when you call there and they said it had been over a year so we had to file with their warranty company, GBS. On September 28, 2020, we filed a claim with them, sent pictures and waited. No one contacted us. I called them and they said they had assigned a company to assess the damage and possibly repair it and they gave me the service company’s contact info. I called them and they said they don’t service my area and that they had told GBS that. I tried calling GBS again and they said they would look into and call me back. No one called back so I went to the store in Merrillville to talk to a manager. The manager said he would contact GBS and make sure this got handled. I waited. No one called. I contacted GBS again and they said they assigned it to another service company but they wouldn’t be able to make it out until after December 29th. December 29th came and went and no one came out or called. I contacted GBS and spoke to a gentleman who told me the 2nd service company doesn’t service our area either but that he was going to try a third company and he would call me back by January 15th. Guess what! No call-back. So I tried to call Ashley Furniture in Merrillville, IN again and no one would answer, as usual. It just rings and rings and then disconnects. I called Ashely’s customer service number and spoke to a girl for about 20-30 minutes, explaining the whole thing and she said she needed to transfer me to “service.” She transferred me back to the main menu so I followed the prompt back to customer service and spoke with an incredibly rude representative who told me “it’s been over a year so it’s not our problem.” “You need to call GBS.” At this point, I don’t even care about the money it cost to buy this furniture set. I just want to drop it off on the sidewalk in front of the store. This is horrible customer service and subpar quality furniture. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and exploring my other options for getting a resolution to this issue. I will never buy from them again and advise everyone to stay away!

Update on 1/8/2021: The company have resolved the issue. Big thanks to Valerie Anzures who stayed with my case until it is resolved. I bought a sectional sofa set In 5/27/2018 for a price of $1508 with a 24 months no interest promotion. On 6/9/2018, I came back to cancel the order and purchased a different sectional sofa for $1913 with promotional no interest this time for 48 months. I have all receipts showing said promotional interests and the loan is serviced by synchrony bank. Two years later, I just saw an accumulated interest charge on my synchrony credit card account, saying the promotional period is only 24 months for the $1509 purchase. Apparently, what the financial staff did was not cancel totally the first purchase and just added the remaining $400+ to the new promotional charge. So now, I'm charged $600+ of accumulated interest because of what they said I have not paid completely the amount after the promotional period. I tried to resolve with Ashley furniture a month ago as well as with synchrony bank but it is so hard when you cannot get in touch with the people who are supposed to take care of the issue.

Their Furniture is just wonderful however they played a delivery game with me from October till I actually got my couch on December 31st they set up several different delivery dates and none of them came to be until December 31st I ordered it in September beware unless you buy it in stock you might be waiting a long time they made me go through Christmas without a couch because they were supposed to deliver it on October 21st I think or the 18th. Like a week and a half before Christmas so females told me to get rid of my couch so I did so I'd know couch for like 2 weeks and I host a Christmas thanks a lot Ashley

I do not recommend buying anything from this company. We purchased a couch in September and were told the estimated in stock date would be the end of November. We waited until then and I called customer service to see what the status was and then was told it wouldn’t be in until end of December. Well December rolls around and they contact me to schedule delivery. I call customer service to confirm the delivery and they tell me the couch we already paid for and have been waiting for since September is discontinued. Absolutely ridiculous. We have been waiting MONTHS for our couch and no one ever contacted us about it being discontinued. They were going to deliver a partial couch to us and never say anything about the other sections of the couch that were discontinued. I completely understand shipping is delayed due to Covid but seriously that is no excuse for not contacting customers about discontinued furniture they have already paid for. We had to go into the store to pick another couch which will “maybe” be in by middle of January. I also asked to speak to the manager at the Merrillville store when we went in and he/she never even came and spoke with us. This company has horrible customer service. The Merrillville store manager could care less about any issue customers have. The only good thing about this horrible experience was our salesperson Cheryl. She was kind and understanding and helped us through this situation.
I ordered 2 nightstands, 1 king panel headboard and 1 storage foot bed rails before Thanksgiving and it was delivered today. Furniture is ok but I am giving Ashley 2 stars because of the services below: a) No one is answering on their customer service phone. You need to try several times to get hold of them. b) Customer service is not pro-active. Initial estimated delivery date given to me was 12/11/20 but no one even bother calling me back that it was rescheduled 1/2/21. After several tries calling their number I was able to contact them and that my delivery will be 1/2/2021. c) Window time delivery was 12-3PM. They arrived 230pm. And took almost 45mins to assemble it. d) After assembling the furniture I ordered I was happy when I saw it. However, after the Assembler left, my daughter noticed a dent on our wall. A dent that need to be retouched and painted. I was hoping they should be careful carrying furniture upstairs. Now I need to patch it and buy a touch -up paint. I am not sure also if the Assembler is aware that they made a dent on our wall. e) Information given to me by the sales agent is incorrect. When I was in the shop, she mentioned that I can use my existing metal frames to the bed frame I ordered. Reality, I cannot use my existing metal frames. I recommend that Sales associate shall know what they are selling. I hope the above can be considered for room of improvement. Thank you.
The store is beautiful and the customer service was amazing. I didn’t feel rushed or bombarded. The salesperson who helped me was Cailee, she did such a great job of informing me of all of the models of bedroom sets. She helped me find exactly what i wanted! She made the process so easy and she made sure I got the absolute best deal possible.

Although Covid has us living in chaos the delay in shipping is beyond the usual time frame. We are already 5 weeks after the 1st eta and they are expecting me to wait another 2 weeks. I anticipate their being even more delays in my future. I bought a new house and the furniture to fill that house. But I can’t move in yet because I literally have nothing to sit or sleep on. I am a first time home buyer and I am very dissatisfied with their customer service.

We were really happy with how we were treated at Ashley home & furniture. Our salesperson was Charlie. He was kind and informative without being too pushy. When we knew which sofa we wanted, he was around and was ready to help! He offered their store credit card and special protections but respected our decision to pay with our own card. We were also really happy that our delivery day is only 2 weeks out as opposed to 4-6 mos like other stores in the area.

Very disappointed, We bought a bedroom set October 2017. The spring in the mattress are broken so cannot use it. It has been 3 months 7 visits to the store multiple calls to the Guest relations no good response. I have talked to the manager, secretary and many sales people. They never answer the phone in the store.one resales rep on the 6 th visit even told me you did not buy the Mattress here. They send some to check the mattress, the mattress is spotless but he said that there is a stain on the mattress so the warranty is void. Then they asked to send more pictures and call back. I have called back at least 5 times, first time disconnected after 20 minutes hold 2nd time no pictures, please send it again. After 20 minutes on hold 3rd time disconnected after 20 minutes on hold 4rt time transfer to the right department, disconnected 25 minutes 5 th time after 29 minutes, I don’t have access to the e mail, only my personal e mail. 10 minutes on hold for supervisor They will give you a run around. Don’t care gor Coustomer . I do not recommend this store 12-23-2020 The story of poor service continues. After I posted the above review I got a email. They send someone from a company to check the mattress on ddecember10 . They said they tried to call 3 tomes, no missed calls . After 1 hour he said send pictures again. Now they want to call back tomorrow. So 3 months no mattress, but Ashley Furniture is still trying to figure our if a mattress is bdamaged. 6 hours of phone, 6 visits to store 2 people came to check the mattress at our home. Never ever go to this store.

I bought a queen size mattress on 10-24-20 and explained that I needed it delivered before Christmas. I was told delivery would be 1-5 weeks. After 5 weeks I contacted Ashley and they said it was back ordered and would be delivered 12-22-20. I called today and was told it will not be delivered until sometime in January so I cancelled the order. I never received a call, text or email about any of the delays. If I had not called them I would still be waiting. This is extremely poor customer service and I will never shop at Ashley Furniture again and I will tell all of my friends the same. I would give a 0 stars if I could.

the WORST place to get ahold of. It doesn’t matter what time of the month you call, what time of the day, or what number you press to be directed too, NOBODY will answer the phone. I'm only giving it 2 stars because Sylvia was very helpful and understanding otherwise I would've rated it a 1! On September 12 I placed an order for a living room set, a king size bedroom set and a full size bedroom set. So far I've only received an ottoman, 3 lamps and a side table. When I walked in the store I was told the waiting time was 10 to 12 weeks due to covid. I was surprised but understood as that was the case for most furniture stores. It's been over 12 weeks now! 14 weeks to be exact. I called multiple times to get updates and to be honest I was given the runaround. At one point I spoke to a representative by the name of Gwen and she told me she was going to escalate this to the manager and she would call me back in 24 hours and guess what!! They never called me! I then went to the store and the manager there called. She was told that most of it was coming in on 12/14 and 12/19. I still don't have anything nor have I heard from anyone! I called again on Thursday 12/17 at 2:30 and a rep by the name of Kat created a ticket and told me someone from the distribution center was going to call me back within 48 to 72 hours. I have not heard from anyone yet! I'm honestly tired of calling and waiting 45 minutes to an hour for someone to just tell me that someone will call me back and nobody does. I'm very frustrated as I don't have any furniture at my house because I trusted Ashley on all my furniture needs. Again, I ordered a complete living room set and 2 complete bedrooms sets. My mattresses are sitting on the floor with no other furniture whatsoever and my living room is empty! Very disappointed at the poor customer service I've received!

I do not recommend shopping at this store at all! We spent 20k to furnish our new home and they waited almost 6 months to tell us our couches were discontinued. When we went to the store to speak with the manager and try to come up with a solution he said he didn’t care. I told him I would like to return the all of the items that did show up he told me he would take some of them back but not all of them. Now we have have wasted money on items that don’t match in our basement. This company has by far the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. When you call them you have to wait over a half hour for someone to answer and when they do all you hear is we don’t know sorry!. Absolutely do not recommend this store to anyone!!!

Very poor customer service.We ordered furniture to be delivered for 91 year old mother in law. Checked to make sure everything was in stock all to be delivered at the same time, do to covid restrictions at her assisted live facility. Recieved email conformation everything was on the truck ready for delivery. Delivery arrives, pieces missing. Had to go to store because no one answers the phone.Store mgr gave new delivery date. Nothing arrived. Called customer service @ corporate, tons of excuses and new delivery date.Not holding my breath. They don&'t care about their customers at all.DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM!

I ordered my couch and lamps in July of 2020, paid in full that day (over $5000 all in). It&'s now November 23rd and I have nothing . The store never called me to let me know when my order was supposed to come in. Every time I called the store, I was on hold for 25 minutes each time, no matter what time of day. I NEVER spoke to anyone at the store they don&'t pick up the phone, EVER! I had to get all info on line. I asked corporate to cancel the order two times and gave me cancellation reference numbers. They told me that the store would call me, they never did. Went back to corporate on line, they told me that they would call someone at the store... guess what, they couldn&'t get anyone on the phone, imagine that! So I called corp again... the cancellation number that they gave me two weeks ago was to refund my DELIVERY CHARGE not the couch and lamps. They never canceled the order. So now, I have my 3rd cancellation reference number and &"someone will call you in 24 hours to verify cancellation.&" What a joke! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE CORONA VIRUS! ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE!

We went in to buy a dining table and was helped by Steve. He was very pleasant and personable, and answered all our questions. Very happy with the experience and would gladly shop at Ashley Furniture again in the future. 5-30-21 Second shopping experience, this time it was Sylvia that assisted. She was friendly but did not seem totally knowledgeable about the promos that were going. Completed the sale with her in a decent amount of time, felt bad at the end because we saw Steven and would have rather given him repeat business. Overall a good experience and they will continue to get our business in the future.

Dealt with me for almost a whole day. Very professional and courteous. I liked the fact that I didn’t feel rushed or as if I was being chased around the store. Only downfall was by the time all the paperwork was getting started I was eager to leave and go about my day.
Having the worse experience with this business. Ordered in June a bedroom set and two couches and haven’t received our order. No one helps us or calls us back. Our headboard was deleted from our order and no one reordered it’s been weeks. Was scheduled for delivery it never came I called was told we were on a credit hold because it has been too long since we ordered and it has been delivered even though that is the company’s fault and we are already paying into our furniture credit. Not only did they put us on a credit hold and took our furniture off the truck for delivery but no once called to tell us and our stuff was given to another account. I have talked to numerous people and have gotten no where. Even contacted the store I bought from and got nothing. NEVER BUY FROM HERE! Piss poor communication and even worse customer service.

We went in the store today to buy a new kitchen table and chairs. The new associate Cheryl G. Helped us. She was knowledgeable and nice. If she did not know the answer, she found it out by asking. She was great to work with. The store has plenty of store models to choose from, but because of Covid there is a significant wait time for the product. It’s understandable and is communicated up front before purchase. We are repeat customers and will be back in the future.
Customer service inside the store is great. Right after you pay, leave, and wait for a delivery it becomes the worst Customer service you'll ever experience in your life. Recieve my bed frame but was missing the footboard, was told I'd receive a call within the hour after they left to get this figured out and get everything fixed quickly. 3 days later still no call, have now spent 5 hours on the phone on hold just to be hung up on, on 6 different occasions. Still at this moment there are piles of furniture parts laying around my bedroom unassembled. Try Customer service online and got 3 different responses, none of them helpful at all in providing a solution.
We went in for living room set. We also purchased dinning room set & cabinets. Our store contact Shay at the Hobart store on US 30 , was very helpful and patient. I would highly recommend that you ask for her assistance if you go there. Thanks for all your help.
Horrible customer service I purchased a bunk bed since July 18 2020 and till this date I haven't gotten my bunk beds. Ashley home store furniture first said I was going to get my order on Aug. That because of covid furniture was being delayed. I got a call after that saying my order was postponed untill September last time I heard anything they now told me that sometime in Oct. It's Oct 21 and I haven't got a call confirming delivery or called to update me with a status every time I called Ashley home furniture store nobody seems to ever pick up I would be on the phone waiting for 10 min. What ever you do don't make the same mistake I made and buy ANYTHING AT ASHLEY HOME STORE FURNITURE take your money elsewhere. They obviously only care about themselves and not the customer

In store staff was nice, but beware of dealing with the corporate Customer Service on your order delivery. The Customer Service is worse than dealing with Comcast/Xfinity. I've spent several hours on the phone this month waiting for a response for 30-60 minutes and on multiple instances I was hung up on or placed on hold for even longer and forced to call back repeating the process.
The sales rep was super friendly and worked with me on getting the specials and promotions for my item.

Bought a sectional last year. And the cushions started to age after only a couple weeks. We ordered the higher end cushions and we have tried to contact and get answers sense LAST FEBRUARY. They finally sent us the chase cushion and guess what its still the wrong cushion. We will never purchase furniture from Ashley furniture again. It is to much of a hassle for simple questions and answers. And takes forever for them to get back to you. Only reason I left one damn star was to warn anyone who buy from them

My wife and I went to Ashley Homestore yesterday looking for a sofa and loveseat. When we walked in we were greeted by Charlie, very nice man. He asked what we were looking for and told us he'd check back with us in a few minutes. We found two different styles we liked. Charlie explained the differences, the sale going on and other options. We left happy with our choice, sofa loveseat. Charlie was a big help and no pressure at all. Thank you.

Yesterday was my 1st time A young man that help me by the name of Steve was very helpful he was kind,didn't push me he didn't rush me but if I had questions he was right there. 1st let me start off by saying I have bought from Ashley before and I had an issue the 1st time but oh stupid me gave them another chance. This time the person setting up delivery was so rude and unprofessional then they deliver my bedroom furniture WITHOUT SCREWS!!! We have no bedroom furniture and all they could say was oh I guess we have to reorder the screws. WHAT?? so now I am sleeping on the floor with no furniture Ashley has really went downhill.
At least 5 times I was told that delivery time was 8 to 12 weeks, it passed from being informative to almost wanted me to leave the store, I was not being picky or asking for anything, just looking around, I only asked a couple of questions; I needed a dining table and the only question I asked was if there were any similar models in white, The lady showed me whatever came first on the website not even trying to look for something similar to what I needed. In the end I made a purchase the very same day through Ashley’s phone line, I had found on the webpage what I needed and they helped me getting a coupon in, Great service very friendly and if I would’ve known I would’ve saved the trip. At this particularly location definitely it’s not their goal to service the customer and help them getting what they need for their house.

Store was nice and staff was friendly and efficient. I waited for approximately 3 months before being told my order had arrived. Then I was told it had sat in the warehouse too long (because they never scheduled delivery or made notification of it's arrival) and IT WAS SENT TO SOMEONE ELSE INSTEAD. I was then advised that I would have to wait an additional month with very little discount, so I cancelled the order. Very frustrating as I have not had any couch in my home for months now.

Customer service at its worst ... furniture was delivered 6 weeks after it was ordered. The delivery people did not set up the furniture properly and when tried to get in touch with customer service, kept me on hold and no one answered the call after a number of tries.
Visited Ashley’s to furnish my new home w/o a clue about what I wanted. As I entered, I was warmly greeted by an associate. I walked around awhile just looking at things with no clear direction on what to focus on. The associate must’ve picked up on my “overwhelmed” vibe and approached me. Asked if I was ok, and if I needed any assistance. I was honest with her & said I need something for my place. She asked what was it I needed? I replied, defeatedly, EVERYTHING! She said not to worry, My name is Shay, I’ll help you out! We drew up a rough draft of my place layout and she went to work with all sorts of ideas! Shay was kind, informative, patient, knowledgeable and very professional. I’m super happy with my first purchase, and can’t wait to return to brainstorm for the rest of my home. Just bought the couch I wanted snd Sylvia was beyond delightful and patient and helped me get the exact measurements for the couch I wanted. She never got aggravated or discouraged and I recommend the Merrillville location rather than the Highland location! Very more friendly here.

Hey everyone ! I want to share the experience I had with this furniture store so that no one has to go through what did & so that no one wastes their time or money at this corrupt place ! Basically my family ordered a couch in July , paid in full & was promised a delivery date in August . August came around & the date was pushed back once again to September ,as far we we knew the couch was set to arrive Saturday September the 12th & thinking this information was accurate the family got rid of their previous couch and furniture anticipating the couch delivery. On Friday September 11th “ customer service “ calls my phone ( this isn’t even my furniture or payment btw) & says the date is pushed back once again for further notice she was extremely rude to me on the phone when I asked her to repeat what she said I got a response of “ did you hear a word I said?!” Absolutely unacceptable. I provided her with the correct number & there was still no call. We tried calling the rest of the night and into the morning with no response because no one would answer the phone. I began to have a very suspicious and bad feeling about this company and decided to research other people’s experiences and found that this place has a history of lawsuits for small claims in failing to provide people with the furniture they have ordered & paid in full. I finally got a hold of someone the next day and I told her I was going to come to the store that I needed to see a tracking number & proof on the company software that the items my family ordered were set to at least be on the way. Given the history and reputation of that horrible business I was not even sure the couch existed when I told her I was aware of the issues in not providing people with their orders she hung up on me. I called back and requested a tracking number & she once again all rude said “ There is no tracking number “ & hung up. We ended up being able to cancel the contract & order we also received our money in full so we are thankful for that. However , it was a hastle and others have actually follow through in court because this company is a complete scam, they are a fraud . Make you pay in full and never give you your order . I also read this company is not even accredited by the better business bureau not sure how accurate that is but I wouldn’t doubt it one bit . Do not under any circumstances spend money here. A lot of these reviews and screenshots are from a couple years ago .. clearly this place has issues. Just want to spread the word for others. DO NOT GO HERE . ( I was definitely way more angry than the family LOL but I will not be talked too like that on the phone & scammed !)

Do not buy from Ashley Furniture. We ordered 11 items and were told everything would be in the warehouse and ready to deliver by end of August. I do not hear from them so I call and was told everything but two items were at the warehouse and we set up a delivery for September 15. They told me to call a few days before to see if the other items were in and could be delivered on the 15th too. I call today and they tell me they have no idea where I got the 15th from but that most of the items are not even at the warehouse yet. I’ve been on hold after being hung up on by a customer service rep and was then told someone would call me back. I just want to know what’s going on and why I was lied to about the delivery date. Where are my items? So frustrating and they definitely lost a customer.

Went shopping today for a new bedroom set for our newly remodeled bedroom. Natash Kubiszewski was awesome!! Natasha explained everything to us how the labor day financing worked and was very polite and to the point. Natasha was able to answer every question we had and explained very clearly. Our fist sales rep that approached us was Noah or maybe Nate, ( I don't really care to remember his name, it was that bad of an experience with him) we were ready to walk out the door after just a few minutes of talking with him about the bedroom set we were interested in purchasing. We were heading for the door and when I saw Natasha, I wanted more info on the sale, but was definitely not dealing with Noah or Nate any more. He was very non informative and obviously didn't know how to make a sale. He did some calculations on his phone right in front of us and I'm pretty sure he added a few more prices to the set as what Natasha sold the set to us for, was not what Noah or Nate had presented to my wife and I. As a sales person myself, Natasha is a top notch sales rep and I would be glad to do business with Natasha again. We did purchase the bedroom set and can't wait for it to arrive and get it set up in our bedroom.

We have been waiting since July 9th for our furniture. We have called many times and we get the run around or they do not answer the phones. We finally were able to speak to the manager Brian a few weeks ago and he said he was doing his best. Then said he thought our furniture was delivered. We have heard nothing back from him once we told him we do not have the pieces. Every week we get a text message saying we are getting the furniture with a date. But it never shows up! Frustrating to say the least!! If we could get the furniture from somewhere else we would, but it matches the rest of what we own. In the future we will not purchase anything from Ashley Home Store due to the lack of communication. We understand everything that is going on in the world, but to tell us every week since July that our furniture would be here is ridiculous! We have taken time off from work to be home, we wait all day and no furniture! I would highly recommend not shopping here. You will never get what you ordered. I will continue to put bad reviews on any and all social media outlets until we get our furniture. I hope this helps others steer far away from all Ashley Home Stores and maybe even open some eyes up to how they do business.

Order was delayed for 2 months. Customer service didn’t care to assist. When we called the store all we got was attitude from the manager. Good product if you don’t mind waiting. The delivery service used sucked. I had them leave my house and I finished the set up.
PEYTON (office lead) takes cares of customers. over the phone customer service is rough, but when you go into the store, Peyton goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to help you or take care of any issues you may have. You need to know that someone will physically have your back if need-be and she is that type of person. Great asset for this store. So I had the pleasure of working with Shay and she was EXCELLENT. She was extremely knowledgeable of the products and she even offered suggestions after listening to what I was interested in. After I purchased my furniture, I had several issues with their delivery service and went to complain to Shay, she took it upon herself to follow up and try to help me resolve the situation. I must say it’s very refreshing to receive excellent service. Especially when you’re spending your hard earned money. If you are purchasing furniture from Ashley’s in Merrillville, ask for Shay. She’s the absolute best!
I purchased a "leather" couch and loveseat. We paid an upcharge for real leather rather than faux leather. Four years later, it started peeling away. Real leather would not deteriorate in that fashion. I sent a complaint to Ashley's corporate office thinking they might give me a small store credit for their error in providing the incorrect material. I got no answer. I do not like leaving negative reviews without giving the store/merchant an opportunity to resolve the complaint. The lack of response got them 1 star instead of 2 stars. Ashley is obviously a dishonest organization and I recommend avoiding it entirely. EDIT: My initial purchase was from the store in Scherville which was subsequently closed and moved to Merrillville.
Found the sofa I was looking for. Sales person was very friendly and made me feel right at home. One person took care of everything. Can't wait to get my new sofa.
Purchased a full set of furniture in mid June. I have had my recliners since July. I have been told that my sofa, coffee table, and end table were ready for delivery on 3 different occasions and I sat at home when I should have been at work. All 3 times they did not show up or call to let me know they were not coming. Every time I call, I get a different story about what piece they are waiting on and when they think the furniture will be delivered. Today is August 25. Last time they had all my furniture except the coffee table. This time they have none of my furniture and don’t expect it until October. If I didn’t have the recliners already I would cancel this order and never purchase from Ashley’s again. I understand shipping issues. I don’t understand incredibly horrible customer service.

Purchased a bed and mattress on June 7. Delivery was scheduled for July. It is now Aug 22 and still no delivery. I received several text messages to confirm delivery for today and guess what I still haven’t received it. I called the main line and was told that my order will not be shipped until after September 26! This delivery keeps getting pushed back and at this point I just want to cancel the entire order. The representative told me I have to call the store for cancellations. However when you call the store you are routed to the same customer service people. After 20 minutes on hold I have no idea what to do. Very very poor service. I will never purchase from here again. I couldn’t ordered a bed from somewhere else and received it last month!
Terrible customer service! Just unbelievable! Never again ! They don’t even answer there phone !! Tried to call !!! I’m so not satisfied with this and haven’t even received my furniture yet after weeks and weeks ! They are trying to deliver on a date that does not work and no way to reschedule!! Just can’t believe how terrible this is !! Blows my mind !!!
Had a great time at the Merrillville store. The staff were very friendly to me and my wife. I will be going back next Monday to finish up my order. I will tell all of my friends about my experience.

My wife and I went Ashley because of the quality of the furniture but the customer service was awful. I went in the store on Friday was told that a sofa and loveseat set wasn't available to buy. I asked to buy set on floor for cash was told by saleslady Shay that I could not do that. Shay called us on Wednesday and ask did we still want the set. I told her repeatedly that we wanted it. Thursday she text me to say another sales person is selling the set to someone else. She said sorry. What kind of customer service is that. Beware of salespeople playing games.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced, spent hours on the phone to just be hung up on and told another date over and over!! We were very confused. We made a reservation online for an appointment but apparently we didnt need one. Staff was helpful but couldnt provide us with the option we needed. We needed to purchase a mattress in one store but have it delivered from another store in another city.

I came in looking for a couch for the new apartment I am moving to. Natasha greeted me at the door and was so amazing in helping me find just what I needed! I’m a retail manager so I know outstanding service when I see it. She asked questions about what I wanted and showed me a couch that fit my budget and my taste. She also showed me a dining room set that I love, but can’t afford to get right now (I’m definitely going to come back for it!) Natasha was very up front with the fact that COVID 19 has delayed shipment, so at least I knew to expect that. I will definitely be back for more furniture needs!

The manager said he would send us a confirmation email for the refund and we didn’t get one so we had to Make ANOTHER trip to the store just to have the man send us a confirmation email that he said he would do. This business is absolute garbage. Go to value city.

I will never buy furniture here again. I have no kids no fogs. Have had my couch for two years in September. The mechanism under my couch isnt even attached to the frame anymore. It's the worst furniture you can buy and not worth the money.

BBB finalizes the complaint against Ashley today. Over 6 months and Ashley can&'t make it right with a customer spending thousands of dollars there. Repeated delivery of damaged items, theft of homeowners property, constant runaround from the Ashley escalation Dept. Cyndi, Turyna, Michelle, Pablo, nobody could rectify all my issues. They kept responding to me and BBB that they are going to fix the problem over and over. Just a big business selling so much crap that a few issues don&'t matter to them. Save yourself the headaches and buy elsewhere even if it costs more. You will save yourself the frustrations and wasted time. I&'m almost 50 years old and this is the worst I have ever experienced. Badly assembled top of the line sofa, gouges, dents, scratches on wood. Refuse to inspect the replacements before delivery so kept sending damaged crap to me. 6 months to get it all fixed or replaced. Still never got my stolen property back either.
My salesperson was knowledgeable about his furniture and really nice. I haven’t gotten my furniture yet so I can’t speak to that but I’m looking forward to it. They struggled a bit with a newer computer system making the ordering process take some time but hopefully they work out the kinks and get more familiar with the system soon.

We ordered several items from Ashley Furniture in Merrillville. The first two were delivered with no problems. The chair we ordered was to be delivered on 6/26. They left a message the night before stating the delivery was cancelled and if we had questions to call a number. I've been trying to call multiple times a day and can't get through. Went to the store on 6/29 and the lady I talked to said NOBODY was available to help me until 7/1. I told her I needed a phone call to get some answers to find out when and if our chair would be delivered. She promised me she would have someone call me within 30-60 minutes. Two days later still no phone call, still can't get through via phone, message or email. We also ordered a desk. No word on that. Wondering if we'll even get it this year.
I had an awesome time in Ashley Homestore three weeks ago. I purchased a beautiful blue sofa for my new apartment. I wasn't attacked when I walked in but warmly greeted at the door & pointed in the direction of my interest. There were several beautiful items I could be interested in, in the future. Every sales associate was helpful & I can't wait to receive my selection! Thanks Ashley for another purchase. A returned customer.
I bought a bed and it was supposed to be delivered with a week now Ashley is saying it's on back order they can only deliver the base And not the Matteress it's on back order. I am having the hardest time getting my full refund. Ashley Employee like Cynthia is very Unprofessional, rude and ignorant. I will never order anything else they will never get my money. The Merrillville location you can't get a contact. This is RIDICULOUS
My experience in the store was absolutely amazing. However, trying to get ahold of anyone to get a technician out is horrible. I first tried in May with texting asking for someone to call me. No one did. I’ve been trying for the last 2 weeks to get a hold of anyone to talk to on the phone. I understand that there will be higher wait times, and you more than likely don’t work on weekends. Whenever I call the store after 8 minutes of holding it hangs up on me. This happens EVERY time I’ve called the store. There is no voicemail to leave a message either. I’ve tried to call the 1-800 number (even though I did buy in store). I called on a Friday, so I waited until the following Thursday to call back. At this point I just want to talk to a human. I’ve left 2 voicemails with the 1-800. No one has called me back within the 48 hour period like the voicemail stated. This is very frustrating. Specially because I’m still paying on the furniture that broke, and we paid extra for the care plan. We will not be buying anything else from them ever again.

I’ve literally been calling the store for over 30 minutes and no one even picks up the phone. I called and was on hold for 15 minutes listening to the automated system without anyone picking up the phone, hung up and called again. Press all the different selections hoping someone will pick up the phone sooner then finally just gave up. Absolutely ridiculous

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. First my furniture order continues to be pushed out later and later. And not by days! MONTHS!!! When trying to call to talk to someone at the store no one ever answers the phone! Then when promised a return call nothing! I will not purchase again from this store.

I had a terrible experience with Ashley Homestore. In April I purchased a bedroom set online. The purchase was shown on my Ashley account and the money was charged to my card, but when I checked the status of my order a week later I learned that the order was never placed. It took me a whole day to finally speak with someone. When I finally got the chance to speak to a representative I was informed that the order wasn’t placed because “For some reason Ashley’s system doesn’t like iPhones.” Therefore, I had to go through another daunting process to try to get the charges dropped off of my account. The first week of May I went into the store to purchase the same bedroom set. I had a delivery date of June 16th. On June 12th I received a text stating that my items will be delivered on the 16th. On June 16th (the day of delivery) I called the company to get the time frame for the delivery. I was informed that the delivery date was changed until the end of June! I didn’t receive a phone call to tell me about the changes. After that, I went back to the store to purchase mattresses for the bed. I was given a delivery date of June 30th. That date has now changed to July 9th. In addition to that, The bedroom set date had been changed to July 10th! I wish I never purchased from Ashley. I went to the Roomplace at the beginning of June and had due item delivered the very next day! I’m still waiting for my items from Ashley homestore! I would not recommend using this company. The customer service is really bad as well as the service!

DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE! IT IS CHEAP AND WILL BREAK. CUSTOMER SERVICE (EVEN WITH 5yr WARRANTY) WILL NOT HELP YOU! I've had my couch for six months and already had it replaced only to break AGAIN! They will give the runaround until manufacturers warranty expires! The warranty does not cover if the couch breaks due to poor craftsmanship! Their furniture is cheap and overpriced! Do not waste your money.

Was a 5 star ...now it’s a 1. Every time I call I’m hung up on. All i want to do is confirm the delivery dates of my order. Can’t call the store and you can do online because it says it’s not supported and to call my store. I’m on the phone for 8-9 min every time and then I’m hung up on. No matter which option i choose. I’ve tried every option they give you on the phone and it’s the same. Won’t be getting anything from here again.
We so enjoyed shopping for the chairs we were looking for. The sales representative was very helpful, and answered all our questions. Also the salesperson gave us time to look around without hovering over us while we looked around. The pricing was excellent. I would definitely recommend the Ashley Home Store!!

Took a while for someone to notice I needed help... the one associate saw us but never helped and another couple walked in after us and was greated with great service...finally when someone did help she was very helpful and polite everything went smoothly.
Such a great experience we went to multiple stores around the area getting outrageously expensive prices for similar or less quality. Ashley furniture was and is amazing and I’m happy with our purchase our sales women Natasha answered all of our questions and took her time with us! Very very happy with my experience here!
Went there to check out some bedroom furniture and ended up with that and new couches for a great bargain. The process was very laid back and easy. The best part is that there was no pressure to buy. I will definitely go back.

Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone at this store after you purchase. I’ve sat on hold for HOURS over the past week trying to reach anyone to get an update on my sectional purchase. No voicemail, no callbacks. Their automated phone just hangs up on me after 30 minutes or so. I’ve gotten no email or phone call confirming my purchase, no estimate on delivery date... nothing. Extremely disappointed in the customer service.

We ordered three pieces of Ashley furniture and two out of the three were damaged. It’s been over a week and no call or message back from Ashley regarding my damaged furniture. Every time you call your left on hold then sent to voicemail. Very bad customer service and poorly made furniture.
The salesman I dealt with was very helpful and efficient. I ended up spending around $9,000 on three bedroom sets and a living room couch. Great deal! As soon as Ashley had my money the experience became absolutely painful. The delivery tracking website they gave me does not exist. I tried using the tracker on the Ashley home page and it told me that tracking is not available in my area. I have called multiple times to get updates on delivery dates and times, I have been on hold for a total of over three hours, and I have spoken to three different reps and have gotten no good answers. SOME of my furniture was delivered today (with no real warning - only a ten minute heads-up via text message) and 5 of the items were damaged. The delivery guys were awesome and it's not their fault that the stuff was damaged before it was put on the truck. My paperwork says I should report damaged items within 48 hours and I have been on hold for 43 minutes and counting trying to do so. It's hard to report damage when no one answers the phone. Two items I ordered were supposed to be direct shipped but no Ashley employee can give me an update on if they have shipped or if they will ever ship. I have repeatedly called the local store that I bought from and they have not answered the phone for four days in a row. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND buying from Ashley Merrillville. They are the typical scam store that tells you what you want to hear until they have your money. If they ignore me like this after spending almost 10 grand, how will they treat you if you spend less than that?
Customer service is horrid, spent thousands and no one - I mean no one either at the store or corporate will answer an email, return one of several messages, reach out after being messaged from corporate or apparently even answer a FB message. They have been a nightmare to deal with, they love getting your money but have no desire to help .. it has been simply a terrible experience and warn everyone to not use this store.

Great selections. After visiting 4 other furniture stores we ended up at Ashley furniture. The furniture at Ashley was clearly a better quality of furniture. All the other furniture stores staff was on top of you from the second you walked in the door and wouldn’t leave you alone to just look around. That didn’t happen at Ashley and when we were ready to talk to someone the staff was friendly as could be. UPDATE- Delivery was a different experience. One of the two pieces we bought was delivered broken. The delivery men told me that someone would call me within 30 minutes to let me know when the piece would be delivered again. Of course, that never happened. I have tried calling them twice and was on hold for 15 and 22 minutes respectively (their automated system does not tell you how long the wait is). Frustrating to say the least.
I ordered a sectional/ottoman (three pieces total) three months ago and paid in full in the store. With the COVID-19 lockdowns, I understand them canceling my first delivery and scheduling it two weeks later.Delivery attempt 2: Ashley&'s warehouse called me to confirm my delivery. I agreed and they said they&'d deliver my two items. I said I ordered three. That&'s when I learned the chaise was on back order but would be available &"in a week&". I said let&'s postpone one more week so we would get all three pieces. Delivery attempt 3: Scheduled for a Friday. I called Monday to verify all three pieces were there. Yes. I called Wednesday. Yes. I got rid of my living room furniture in preparation for the delivery... and get a call Thursday late afternoon: they don&'t have the chaise. I did tell them I called to confirm and they apologized. We scheduled for ANOTHER week out. At this point, I am calling customer service and opening tickets... but no one is contacting me back. I begin a schedule of calling the Merrillville store 10 times a day every day and get the message they&'re closed. Indiana has reopened by this point, and their corporate call center confirms they&'re open but also cannot reach them. Delivery attempt 4: Exactly the same as three: called twice, confirmed all three pieces were there, late Thursday I&'m told they&'re not. I have 7 open tickets with their call center and not one person has replied. My initial call was open a full month before. I still call Merrillville daily, which is what the customer service reps recommend. (Note: they say to push &"3&" if the phone call does go through or else you&'re routed back to them.) I also have requested two supervisor calls. At the time I&'m writing this review, neither supervisor has called me back.Delivery attempt 5: I get my regular &"thursday call&" saying the chaise is not there, although the paperwork states it is available in May. (Delivery was May 22nd. We were almost through May.) The person on the phone said just take the sofa and ottoman and IN ONE WEEK the chaise would arrive. I explain I was told that since April 6th and she promises this time. I agree.DELIVERY DAY: the delivery men bring the wrong-facing sofa piece. They say to call Merrillville and get to hear my tale of calling them multiple times daily for 1.5 months. They take the wrong-facing sofa and I call customer service AGAIN. NOTE: When you call customer service, you don&'t get to speak to anyone until you hold anywhere from 25-1:05 minutes first. Trust me. I&'ve called over 20 times.They apologized and state they&'re putting in an URGENT request and I&'d get a call back within 3 hours. I asked what to do if I&'m not contacted. &"call back.&" Of course I didn&'t get a call... so I called back again. This resulted in the person on the phone stating they were out of the sectional I ordered well over TWO MONTHS PRIOR.Today was the first time I reached someone in the store. I&'m told their phones were down for &"one week&". Try 1.5 months, excluding the time they were closed for COVID-19. I am now told the absolute earliest I can get the sectional is the second week in JULY. FOUR MONTHS AFTER I ORDERED IT. I asked about loner furniture or SOMETHING they can do, not only because of their constant screwups, but for the HOURS I&'ve spent into talking to their phone reps, waiting on hold, emailing sales managers (that&'s right Brian, thanks for not writing back), not to mention the WEEKS I&'ve gone without furniture. I asked what Ashley&'s policy is on this. &"Uh... we&'re sorry for the inconvenience... yeah I don&'t know why they didn&'t call you...&"STAY AWAY. THEY STILL HAVE MY MONEY AND I STILL CANNOT REACH ANYONE. Three months is long enough. I&'m heading to the BBB. (PS, look them up on the Better Business Bureau site. I wish I had prior to this disaster.)

Friendly staff, kind of took awhile but had nothing else to do. Wish it didn’t take 6 weeks to get delivery, but with the factories shut down for months... it’s unavoidable!! Can’t wait to get our new living room furniture! Update: after waiting 6 weeks we got a message that it was going to be at least 6more weeks- ended up canceling the entire order and going elsewhere- so frustrating!

So, to start they have taken money in and out of my account for the furniture literally 5 times. They delivered the furniture, left it on the front porch, would not even bring it in the house...with the "this side up".....down. After getting the furniture inside and unboxed, there is a tear in the couch. I am overall truly disappointed.
I ordered a sectional couch in early November of 2019. I have been making payments on it to date. I knew I was going to be moving so they told me to notify them of the new address. They assured me that the address was changed when I called to fix it. It was not. My delivery date got pushed back by TWO MONTHS. I got my order today. To the wrong address. AS WELL as it being the wrong furniture and only HALF of a sectional. I will NEVER do business with them again. This was an awful experience. Customer service does not help aid you in the right direction of how to get anything fixed. So as of now. I’m out 1100$ on half of a couch and the wrong fabric and color as well.
My husband and I went to this place to purchase a sofa and love seat. The delivery was partly delayed without notification that it would be delayed as a result we only received one item. We called costumer service,which really a bad one, and gave us so many excuses. We were told that we will not get billed until 30 days after our all of our items were recieved. But we got the bill before the loveseat. Since they were breaking the agreement I told them that I wanted a full refund and I will not deal with Ashley furniture any longer. But they won't give the refund because I have 1 piece and they will charge a restocking fee for an item I haven't even received yet. Their corporate office is a joke. They don't know how to do customer service. I will never do business with them again, and hope either they learn the true meaning of customer service or close their doors for good.
Their service is absolutely horrible including the customer service. It’s been over a month and they still haven’t come to fix my cabinet if you’re smart It’s not worth even walking in that store.

Great in store experience. Last order they had “technical issues” and it took three months to get our complete order. One person in the technical support staff seemed very inexperienced and we kept “losing connection” when getting connected with her. Very happy with the actual furniture just not how it was handled getting it to us.

Well we had a wonderful experience in store and picked out a great couch for a great price but it was all downhill from there... we ordered a black sectional and when they brought it, it was white we told the man who put it together that it wasn’t what we ordered and that it was wrong he didn’t speak English and didn’t really care and he left it here and I called the store and they said they would call back tomorrow but they aren’t sure if and when they can change it and I’m very displeased with this part of the experience! I paid a lot of money and it’s all wrong!

Change your return policies...I will say that TK and Elizabeth were awesome. Ashley Furniture as a company though, has lost my loyal business over a simple issue that could've easily been resolved.

Great furniture great price
Went in to purchase a sofa we had identified through the online-website just to "get a feel" and ensure the left/right arm layout was what we wanted as the website was misleading easy/fair enough right? We were met by a salesman named "Steve" at the exact sofa we were going to purchase, we noted the store price v/s online price (approx-$300 more in store) we then showed "Steve" the sofa in our cart/pricing/picture etc.... we were then told NEVER to buy any furniture online as the store would DRASTICALLY BEAT the online pricing by far-next lead into "do you want to spend our $ or your $? This was not a big issues to us so we chose to spend "your $" on the terms of 12 mos. 0% financing/fair enough. "Steve" comes back lays out the cost/payment plan (sofa was approx. $200 less online price after discounts-looks great) ok lets get this done, all ppwk-signed-credit ran 20% deposit retained-all is well at this time-we are on par for dinner etc.... NO we are not-after numerous staff gathering/including management the old "glitch in the software/computer excuse-got knocked out 1/2 way through sales order comes into play" we began to question the whole purchase. "Steve" then re-enters (after running the correct SKU on the correct sofa along with consuming time) the order then comes back with a significant increase in amount?? We then gathered our composure/looked over the sales order, pointed out the significant price difference-reminded "Steve" of the sofa in our cart online along with less cost, "Steve" makes adjustment/gets permission from management to match online price/gives a 10% discount yet increases payment terms to 24 mos to try to get to the original 12 mos/monthly payment?? At this point we came to the assumption that "Steve" had entered the wrong sofa (2-pc/not 3-pc unit) on the original sales order, another hour goes by as we tried to work with all staffing to complete order although reluctant and transfer our 20% deposit to the new/correct sofa/sales order, mind you that now with the increase in the correct selling price of correct sofa, it had driven up all other costs taxes,deposit, (not to mention "Steve" conveying original delivery to Hobart) we're from Portage-another $50 tacked on delivery. At this point I tell "Steve" you know what direction this is going-which he replies "no sweat off my back". Needless to say over 2 hrs wasted/late for dinner,from this fiasco we will not be returning to Ashley HomeStore in the near future- we will also be monitoring our 20% deposit currently being held hostage!

He was very patient and made sure I understood everything about the purchase. On another note I walked over this store twice without even a hello normally I would have just walked out . How can you walk all over a store with at least seven people on the floor and no one even says hello.
