I purchased a dining table shortly before Christmas and was informed it would arrive about two weeks later. That timing was fine, and I understood the delay was partly due to my own procrastination. Unfortunately, when the table arrived, it was damaged. I contacted the sales associate who helped me with the purchase, and she directed me to customer service via email. From that point on, the experience declined significantly. It took two business days to receive an initial response. Customer service requested photos, which I sent immediately. After another two days with no follow-up, I had to reach out again. I was eventually told to return the table to the store. When I brought it back, the same employee who had been unhelpful during the initial pickup assisted me. He could not explain the process, offered little guidance, and communication was very difficult. I was simply told to leave my contact information, with no clarity on next steps. I followed up again via email to understand what would happen next—whether the table would be replaced, repaired, or refunded. I was later informed that it had been repaired and that I could either pick it up or pay for delivery. By this point, I had already picked it up once and returned it once, both times with minimal assistance from staff. I chose to pick it up myself again. Thankfully, this time another employee was helpful with loading, and a young lady assisted professionally with the paperwork. Their help was appreciated. I work in customer service myself, and it was disappointing to see such a contrast between the smooth sales experience and the poor handling of an issue afterward. While the table itself is nice, the lack of communication and support when a problem arose has ensured I will not shop here again, and I would not recommend this store to others.

He was very polite and helpful, my finance and I had something very specific in what we wanted in a couch, he was very helpful and patient with our questions the whole time and even offered me a tape measure for my peace of mind. Great guy and a gentleman. We got the couch we were looking for and will definitely go back.

Found the table & chairs we wanted. Have to wait for them to be brought to the store for pick up. May be 2-6 weeks….. Not the time frame expected for ‘ store closing’ or ‘ relocation sale’. Hoping for quick turn around. Salesman was pleasant, personable and relatable. So far so good.

I had an amazing experience at the Mishawaka location. Luis Tolentino saw us wandering around (we had no idea where anything was) and asked how he could help. He took us to every style of recliner till we were happy. He even got us waters. From start to finish he gave us every option and situation possible to help us make the best decision regardless of price. Engaged in small talk and actually cared. Thank you so much.

Wish I had the same experience as other post. Unfortunately the sales rep I dealt with turned out to be dishonest and took full advantage of a situation when I had to rest my surgery procedure. We had a house fire and would have came back for more purchases, bit when I was treated with disrespect and dishonesty, I truly wish I could have cancelled my order, which I could have for a 15% percent restocking fee, even though we scheduled the delivery for 4 months out. When expressing my concern to the Distruct Manager, he could not have cared less about our treatment. If dealing with this store...be careful of what you are told, it may be near somewhere the truth but most likely not near the truth.

We went in looking for a Matress and was greeted by Jolene B she asked us what we were interested in we let her know and she let us look around without being your typical sales person and jumping down your throat then when we found what we were looking for we found her specifically and ultimately ended up making a purchase just because of how great she was to work with.We really appreciated the fact that she was willing to help us when we were ready and not just trying to make the sale.

3 stars based on commissioned salesperson behavior. When entering the store, clearly explained I understood how furniture was priced on tags and would seek them out if I had questions, explicitly asked salesperson to NOT follow me around the store. Salesperson tried to non-chalantly follow me through the store. The store manager, Marissa, asked if I had any questions during a ”routine round" and asked if I had questions, which I asked about a couch in a different color, which she provided the response. I purchased a couch from Marissa, however overzealous sales people make the furniture shopping process horrible.

Marissa was very helpful, nice and polite very glad we stopped here first.

Hope was very good to work with. I was looking for a grey coffee table and she showed me all the options available. I did not purchase anything because although the prices at Ashley are competitive with other stores, the quality of the furniture was extremely disappointing. During my coffee table search I found most of the mass market furniture is low quality. I found a solid wood table at another location that I am happy with.

Went in looking at mattresses and ordered one even though salesperson was rude and cocky, and then they tried adding all kinds of extras, had to have them remove all kinds of items, then after thinking g about it a day or so we wanted to cancel and they wouldn't let us even though receipt said 3 days to cancel. They have the Ashley name but none of the offer that Ashley promote like 60 months interst free. They are independently owned so they are crooked and don't even follow their own policies, definitely not recommending to anyone.

Taylor was great to work with, very knowledgeable Got our couch today, after 2 months of waiting. It stinks, like it's been sitting in a warehouse for a long time...hmm

My experience in store with Jolene (Mishawaka store) purchasing my sectional and the bedroom furniture was absolutely fantastic. She spent so much time with me. Then the delivery was the best delivery I’ve ever experienced. Phil and Howie were not only very friendly, but took great care of my home and the new items. I will definitely be using Ashley in the future again due to the great service with Jolene, Phil and Howie top-notch!!!!

I would like to add that if I could rate the salesman separately, I would give him 5 stars. He's been the biggest help with this. Spent almost $1,000 to have a couch delivered damaged, in the package so damage wasn't found until after the drivers left. Now we're responsible for somehow getting it to the store or paying for someone to come out and "service it." Customer service doesn't believe us and thinks soap will fix the torn spots. They're taking no responsibility. Edit to add the options available to us are transporting back to the store and paying to have it sent it for repair, or paying to "upgrade" the warranty. Somehow leaving us still responsible for them doing damage to the couch.

The customer service was perfect, and Brooklyn really went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I needed. I'm completely satisfied with my experience and the couch I will be getting

I found the furniture I wanted at a price a could afford. We were sitting in lawn chairs in our family room as we recently got out house back after a fire. Long story short ... the furniture was two weeks late. Delivery and set up was terrific!

I walked into Ashely furniture and Brandon met me with a smile and told me how nice my dresses looked. Nice compliment but not convincing. I was there to help my friend girl find a comfortable chair. Brandon knew there was a need and stepped in right away to adhere to our needs. Long story short, my friend did not purchase anything but I, on the other hand, purchased a couch, chair, and a recliner rocker. Great job Brandon for making sure my furniture needs (which I didn’t think I neeed) were met with a much enthusiasm, determination, and great customer service, and willing to make sure I walked away pleased with my purchase. Thank you Brandon!!! You represent Ashley Furniture completely with “customer satisfaction” in mind!

I felt scammed. The employee led me halfway across the store to show me a couch, supposedly a great labor day sale deal ($200 off), which I purchased. It was listed a week later $150 less than sale price as regular price (and even lower at other stores). They won't let you cancel or return without huge penalties. They will only price match their own website. Delivery took almost 4 weeks. If you like any Ashley brand items find them at another store and purchase them there. They will cost less and be delivered faster.

Basia was very knowledgeable about the item we came in to purchase. She helped us locate the piece and pointed out its features. When we decided to purchase with white glove delivery she helped us determine the delivery timeframe and expectations. Overall great experience!

Super knowledgeable and friendly people here at Ashley. We were just looking and ended up purchasing a nice sofa with a chase. Super excited to see it in our space.

Most of the future is extremely over priced. We found a dinning room table and chairs that we really liked and waited for it to go on sale. My wife and I went to the store and showed them the set we wanted and the advertised price. We filled out the credit app and were approved for no interest for four years. When we finished our paperwork and went to the counter to pay a down payment and set up a delivery date our paperwork showed the set at more than double the cost. When we inquired about the cost we were told that that is just the way it is and there's nothing we can do about it. That was a week ago and we still don't have a delivery date to receive our purchase.

Went in to look at a coffee table I’d seen online. Basia greeted me right away, and showed me right where it was. I also ended up getting two small end tables. Great, fun, and NO PRESSURE!

We ordered a full living room set including a rug… we have been told for 6 months that the rest of our furniture would be delivered in a few weeks each time we called. We had to call, there was never anyone communicating with us. Each time I called and harassed about when my rug and other chair would be delivered we got told next month…. For six months this went on and yet they never communicated with us. I always had to call. Still waiting after I was told it would be the beginning of August, I called and was told end of August. Now being told mid September. Sick of having to harass them about my furniture that they can’t issue a refund on…

Basia was a wonderful salesperson to work with. She helped us 3 years ago to find the perfect couch and again this week to find new furniture for our downsized home. She spent extensive time with us to make sure we knew all of our choices. She was an expert at knowing what was in the store and able to show us multiple choices of dinettes, love seats, and went the extra mile to look for a rocker recliner to fit our needs. We have never been disappointed with Ashley furniture and we highly recommend working with Basia.

My wife and I went to Ashley and purchased a 6 piece cross sectional couch during our first visit there. Our experience was exceptional. Nick was very helpful in explaining the many options we had and answered all the questions we had. He’s extremely knowledgeable and reliable. We went back for a dining room set and we will continue to return and request Nick.

We purchased furniture for our new house while we still resided at our old house. Everytime I called for an update or to schedule deliever , I had to remind them of my new address and requested to remove old address. Also, I would request them to call or txt my number before arrival and yet they would txt my bf. We had been asking for the bill since we bought the furniture , but they stated it would not be sent until final delievery. We even called and stated we had not recieved one shortly after last delievery, this was in July. Then in August still no bill and credit report showed a negative impact due to late payment. Still no bill. They had sent it to our prior address , that I had stated several times we do not reside anymore. So because of that simple error on their end , our credit took a hit. Which is a big deal when you already took one from buying a house and everything else not to mention when you work hard to maintain 800 plus. They stated they cannot do anything to fix this and we have to file a dispute as they send info to TD financial and they handle billing. I feel like the whole process with ashely furniture was just stressful. Moving and medical issues at the same time was enough. I do not want to deal with this too. They made it seem like we would get furniture in 4 weeks , but we didnt. We bought a floor model couch for basement that came in 2 weeks, another couch set for upstairs that ended up being the floor model as they were no longer in production until July (We bought furniture in May and they didnt tell us this til mid June). No discount for floor model as it wasnt on the floor long enough per the sales guy that sold us furniture. I also, ordered a bed frame that did not arrive until Aug. 5th. They wanted me to wait until bed frame came in to get my couches as I only paid for 1 delievery. I had to talk to a manager to get my couches delivered before bed frame , since at that time they had no idea when bed frame would be in. I talked her into free delivery since I didnt recieve discount for floor model. I purchased my dining table and a love seat at value city, no issues and quick delivery. The sales guy at Ashley's and shift manager at the time made it seem like it would be a smooth easy process, but when we had issues the sales guy didnt seem to care. He clearly only cres to make a sale. Ill never go to Ashley's again. I also, was going to cancel my order bc I was tired of waiting, but was informed I could not do that and returning wasnt an option until a certain amount of time after delivery. Sales guy said it was part of the contract and he was quite rude , but im sure I was too bc its ridiculous that it takes over 2 months for a bed frame but I can get a couch and dining table within 2 weeks from value city. And the bill came from value city. Not some other company that hasnt sent paper bill and calls for payment. Im not paying anything without paper bill .

I was mis informed on the pick up/delivery, which I was told within 10 days and I was also insisted in not placing an order online. It’s not that difficult to tell your customers about with in 12 weeks delivery policy. My boyfriend and I just purchased an awesome bedroom set from Ashley Furniture. Our amazing salesperson, Brook, answered all our questions throughly and helped us find the right set. Stay away from this store as they lie to you about delivery. I purchased a table & chairs on August 4th with understanding delivery in a few weeks , but when I called a week later to schedule by month's end, I was told it would be end of September!!! This store just lost several thousand dollars from me and several family members as I can't even cancel the order!

I’m writing this review with a heavy heart. This store is a privately owned Ashley location and is not affiliated with the corporate chain, which means they operate under their own rules and policies. Unfortunately, we were given false information and misleading promises throughout the entire experience. What was said verbally didn’t match what we were asked to sign on paper, and when we questioned it later, the management offered no accountability. We found a couch and ottoman we liked, but the prices were higher than what we saw online. We were about to leave and purchase them online instead, but a staff member stopped us and promised they would honor the online pricing. They also told us that if we didn’t like the furniture, we could return or exchange it, paying only a restocking fee. However, once the ottoman was delivered, it turned out to be too large for our space. I immediately called to request a re-selection, only to find out that the item prices were not truly matched to the online ones. The total might’ve looked right, but each piece was priced differently. For example, the ottoman was listed online at $499, but they charged me $720 — which wasn’t made clear at the time of sale. Now with the higher price, the restocking fee to return or exchange the item is even higher — breaking their initial promise. We were then told we had two options: Re-selection within 72 hours for a 15% fee with the rest refunded A full refund within 72 hours for a 30% fee We accepted this and said we’d be back in 48 hours. But when we showed up in person, we were hit with more contradictions: 1. They do not offer a refund with a 30% fee after delivery — despite telling us otherwise. 2. The refund after re-selection is given only as store credit, not back in your pocket — again, something they never disclosed. Even if the employee who made these promises was new (mind you she checked with the manager whenever we asked these questions), the manager refused to stand by what was said or offer any help. No empathy, no effort to make it right. We ended up keeping the ottoman just to avoid dealing with them any further. We’ll store it for now and maybe use it later, but we’ll never shop here again. It was my mistake, not looking at the yelp reviews ahead if time. Bottom line: If you choose to buy from this store, be prepared for broken promises, misleading communication, and poor management. They do not honor what they say or welling to yield — even when it’s their own words. Truly disappointing experience.

If you enjoy purchasing things and never getting them, you'll just love Ashley Furniture. Receiving the items you ordered in a timely manner doesn't appear to be a strength. I was told up to two months for delivery. Good people at the local store but delivery time is totally unacceptable. May cancel my order and it's the reason I dropped from 5 stars to 2 stars. Update: another week has come and gone with not even a call to give me a delivery date. If you like purchasing your furniture but never receiving your furniture, you'll love this place. Hadn't received even a call after three weeks with a delivery date. Canceled my order and will never purchase from them again. Edit Update: amazingly, everyone at Ashley tells you two months delivery is the standard in the industry. Ashley lies to their customers. I was able to walk into two competitors of Ashley and paid cash for a bed, a couch and some other items needed. Imagine my surprise when the bed was delivered in 2 days (not months Ashley) and my other furniture shows up on Wednesday which is actually a 4 day wait. I thought the industry standard was 2 months? Avoid Ashley at all costs. They do not have good customer service and as far as im concerned, you can find better furniture at a better price, have it delivered in a timely manner and not be lied to by the staff at Ashley. Respect yourself in the morning. You be doing the walk of shame with Ashley. If i could give zero stars, I would. Ive added pictures of what the Ashley Furniture looks like after ordering about 6 weeks ago. Doesn't it look great?

Initially I reached out to Brandon over the phone. He was very helpful! I was not able to get to the store and Brandon was going on vacation. I thought that would be the end of it but Brandon sent me a wonderful text and told me that if I got into the store to see Jolene. Jolene was amazing! She was efficient and answered all our questions and helped with our design vision. Not to mention Ashley price matched our furniture pieces! Can’t say enough about Brandon and Jolene…..thank you so much! Better yet, our delivery is set for next week which was only a 2 week wait🙌🏼

Initially it would have been 5 stars, however I’m glad I waited for the first of two deliveries before posting my review. I was told the day before my delivery that mattress, frame, and protector would be delivered. Upon the delivery the team said they forgot my protector and would over night it. I drove 4 hours the next day back for the protector. I was then told by a sales team member that the delivery team was lying . I don’t know who to believe and I especially don’t feel valued after payment. If this is how I am treated during delivery I can only imagine what a warranty claim will entail. I am leaving this at 3 stars, in the hope that things can still be resolved. UPDATE: After waiting another 2 weeks I have yet to receive the mattress protector. I have not enjoyed this process.

Nick S. was very helpful in helping my wife and I choose a dresser. He was very upfront and even helped us save a little money. Update: Although the price was great, once the furniture was received it was more so a let down in quality. When my wife and I went back to the store Nicks whole attitude changed on how we were approached. It was more a feeling of “well you bought it didn’t you” rather than actually heard and cared for.

We have purchased Ashley furniture before at another location and had a very good experience. Not true here! We ordered a dining room set and a new king bed and platform base. When the delivery team arrived they realized that the base that they had was for a long single bed. They informed my wife that this can work for half of the platform and if we wanted the other half we would have to call the store and order it. She reluctantly did so, another $200+ we didn't expect, the delivery team left a pile on our bedroom floor and departed. I waited for 10 days and finally called and asked to talk to the manager. I explained my situation and asked her to make this right. Her reply was you have to pay for the other half of the base if you want it but she would send the salesman out with the other half of the base soon because the delivery team was to busy to come and install it. As a former owner of a office furniture company I told her I would have owned the mistake, not charged for the additional piece and make it a priority to have our best delivery team out there asap. She said sorry but if you want it you have to pay for, no apology for no one calling us after the first delivery team left, just excuses about having a newer salesperson and busy managers who didn't check the order...last time for me to shop at this store!!

She helped us select an end table to match our sectional, and was flexible in allowing us to use credit toward a dining table instead of the coffee table and rug advertised in the package deal. Tim Mason and Sawyer Reynolds were helpful, patient and they didn't hover like vultures. They actually listened (a rare skill in sales these days), and made the process easy by working with what we wanted and needed rather than salesmen from other stores just trying to make a quick buck off us. They didn't try to upsell me into a NASA certified high tech couch we didn't need. 10/10 would recommend. Go here and support your local furniture legends. If they aren't the highest paid people in there, then they should be.

On July 7, 2025 I ordered two sofas by phone for $1,254, out the door, explicitly including delivery and in-home setup. Sales rep Djorin Mourning confirmed those terms by text, then over the phone, and the charge hit my card the same day. When the written sales order arrived, the setup service had vanished. When I reached out to fix the paperwork, Store Manager Marissa Gain refused to accept any responsibility. She labeled the mix-up a “coaching moment” for Djorin—as though the fault lay entirely with her—yet still wouldn’t honor the promise her own employee made under her supervision. Instead, she repeatedly tried to cancel my fully paid order and insisted I settle for curbside drop-off. Her tone throughout was condescending; at one point she threatened to pull the phone transcripts, apparently confident they would vindicate her, even though those same recordings would prove I requested and Djorin accepted delivery with setup. Every attempt to remind Ms. Gain that managers are accountable for their staff’s commitments was met with more stonewalling and another offer to refund me rather than deliver what I bought. The texts, receipts, and altered PDF all show the store reneging on its own agreement. The case is still active. I’ve opened a file with Ashley Corporate and am prepared to escalate to the Indiana Attorney General and the BBB if the store does not follow through. Buying furniture should not require legal threats just to receive the service you’ve already paid for. Unless Ashley Mishawaka—and Ms. Gain in particular—learns to stand behind written agreements and treat customers with basic respect, shop elsewhere. I will update this review if the store finally delivers and sets up the sofas exactly as promised. EDITED in response to the store’s response on my review: Your statement misrepresents what happened. There was no “misunderstanding.” The sale terms— $1,254 including delivery + in-home setup—were confirmed by your own employee, Djorin Mourning, twice: once on the recorded phone call and again in writing by text. I have saved copies of both, and I’m more than willing to share them with the BBB, the Indiana Attorney General, or a judge. You did not “offer options.” The only “option” presented was a curb-side drop-off that stripped away the setup you had already sold me. When I declined to accept less than what I paid for, your store—specifically Manager Marissa Gain—unilaterally tried to cancel the transaction rather than honor it. Cancelling a fully paid order without the customer’s consent isn’t a courtesy; it’s a breach of contract. This was never about “additional discounts.” I have asked for nothing more than the exact service you promised, charged, and put in writing. Calling it a “discount” is a convenient way to dodge responsibility. “Clarify the terms” is corporate spin. The only thing that needs clarification is why your management believes it can rewrite a signed agreement after taking payment. Because you have chosen to cancel instead of perform, I am now preparing formal complaints to the Indiana Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division and the BBB, and I will dispute the charge with my credit-card issuer. I remain ready to proceed in small-claims court if necessary, where the phone recordings and text messages will speak for themselves. Feel free to contact me with a concrete delivery-and-setup date that satisfies the original contract. Short of that, please stop recasting your breach as a “misunderstanding.”

Nick is very detailed, or at least he was us, which was great! He seemed to have good knowledge of the furniture! And ultimately seemed to get us a pretty good discount, which we appreciated! With our situation we needed print outs of our invoice to look at before bringing money in to make the purchase. It seemed at first it was going to be such a burden on Nick that we didn’t think we were ever going to get the print out. After asking about four different times we finally got one. He also tried pushing us to create a credit account, which would have likely effected the pre-approval for our new house - though to his credit I don’t think it was in bad faith, just lack of knowledge. We would likely recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone looking for high quality furniture.

I purchased a sectional in March of 2023. In December of 2024 the faux leather started to crack and chip off. It was a cheap piece of furniture as we only spent $1300 on it. I contacted ashley and they told me if I want to get it fixed I would have to bring my sectional to the store and pay for it to be fixed. Let me add we have no animals and don’t eat or drink on our sectional. This was such poor quality I will never purchase anything else from ashley. Horrible customer service with even cheaper quality products. Save your money and go elsewhere or you will be throwing your money away.
