Ruth was very helpful! We were looking at a different couch and she actually pointed out a cheaper one that we liked better!
I was greeted by the store manager, Ruth, who was to assist me with finalizing my claim with my Guardian protection policy I purchased along with furniture I had purchased 3 1/2 years ago. The motor had stopped working on my recliner and I filed a claim with Guardian Protection. It was determined the recliner was not repairable and I was given the full purchase price of my recliner as credit on a new chair. Get the protection plan! It is truly worth it! Ruth was very pleasant and helpful in finding the perfect replacement chair for me. Thank you Ruth!

Ruth was amazing to work with. She immediately engaged us on what we were looking for what our needs were. She showed us several options and encouraged us to lie down on the beds and try them out. She was exceptionally knowledgeable on the products and brands. She listened and took the time to understand why we were wanting to upgrade our bed. She shared her own personal experience in relation to the sleeping issues we were looking to resolve. She even went as far as to show us some pillows and how you should actually lay on them to alleviate neck pain. In addition, she understood what a large purchase this was and the anxiety we were feeling spending the money she took the time to calculate out a reasonable dollar amount to put down to get our payments to place we were comfortable. We came in the store less than an hour before closing time and she never made us feel rushed and she wanted to ensure that we understood if we weren’t happy with our bed we Not hesitate to call them and figure something out. She honestly made the whole process easy and was supportive to her customers. I had never met Ruth before I came into the Ashley store, but I would enjoy working with her again in the future. In my opinion she is a valuable asset to your company.

Found a sectional couch system in Iowa City area that we loved. Went to the Burlington location as we prefer to buy local. Met with Ruth Sheppard and she let us know that the Burlington location didn’t sell that specific brand. She asked about our remodeling project - I showed her a couple “inspiration pics” and she showed us a recliner chair that was exactly what we were looking for - so we made a purchase. It was a great experience- we never felt pressured to make any changes to our original plans so she could “make a sale” .

Worked with Seth. He helped me a lot , answering questions. Gave me time to look. After I purchased my furniture, paying in full that day, I received text message the next day saying they had accidentally not charged sales tax on my sale and needed me to come in and pay that. In the meantime I had noticed a substantial price difference between the store and Ashley’s website which I pointed out. I sent screenshots of the price differences and after a lot of back and forth they said they’d price match the Ashley site I’d sent them. Which shouldn’t been an issue to begin with. And honestly, if they didn’t price match I told them I’d just cancel and order from the online site. In the end, I ended up owing $30 in taxes which I promptly paid. I’m still waiting for my new furniture to arrive but I’m disappointed in how Ashley in Burlington,IA store is doing things. The prices in the store should be the same as seen online. Period. I have considered reporting the whole incident to the BBB.

My son and I visited Ashley Furniture’s Burlington, Iowa location looking for a mattress for his new home and we were greeted by Masin. We had already been to several other stores with similar product offerings and the sole reason we decided to purchase from Ashley’s Sleep Shop was because of our interaction with Masin. Masin was friendly, helpful, and inquisitive about my son’s sleep position (i.e. back, stomach, side), preference for mattress type (firm vs soft), time he expected to use the mattress, etc. He genuinely seemed to care about finding a product to meet our needs and was not pushy at all, even suggesting alternative options outside what Ashley had available to offer that we might want to consider. After leaving the store and reviewing possibilities, I called Masin a few days later with some follow up questions about pricing and delivery. He remembered me, including specific details my son had shared about his college plans. Masin and his manager were both great to work with and I was thoroughly impressed by the overall atmosphere of the store and the buying experience. Masin’s professionalism and exemplary customer service were five-star. I would highly recommend this business and working with sales associate, Masin, based on my experience.

We had a wonderful experience at the Burlington, Iowa, Ashley store when we recently purchased a new LaZBoy sofa and loveseat. We went in to "just look". We met Lynn. She was WONDERFUL! Lynn was very helpful and listened carefully to us as we described what we thought we wanted. She walked around the store with us showing us many options and was so patient and kind! She worked hard at meeting our needs and promised to work on more options for us. We did not buy anything last night as we needed to go home and measure our living room for the the sectional we liked. As Lynn offered information about each piece of furniture we looked at, she was NEVER pushy! Excellent sales person!! We will return!! Thank you, Lynn!!

Ordered a sectional but later found it on sale elsewhere. Verified Ashley has a price match guarantee and called to ask. Turns out they only price match when this store wants too. Asked to cancel the order and they stated they did and the funds would be returned in 3-5 days. One month later they still had not returned the money. Called the store and were told they had not returned it but would right now. They then told us it would be another 3-5 days. No apology and honestly were rude. Don't buy here if you want to purchase from an ethical company.

I visited here at 7:00 p.m., on 11/29/22. I walked in and there were three workers, all on their phones, one female asked how I was, after she put her phone down and I was about 10 feet past her. As I walked through the store, I noticed at least two other employees, get off couches, while on their phones, and go directly to the back, out of sight. I knew then, I would not give this business a penny of my money. As I was leaving the store, the only people visible was a female, on her phone, at a desk in the middle of the store, and an employee at the front, who hadn't budged, moved his feet out of the way, or gotten off his phone. Spend your money elsewhere.

This place isn't what I was expecting. The coffee tables and end tables are made out of an engineered material meant to appear to be wood. They're well made and look to be pretty durable, but not wood. Just seems tacky to me.

Very large selection of couches and cushioned chairs. Friendly and very helpful staff as well! This Ashley’s stock on the floor is mainly couches and cushioned chairs. There is a few dining sets, but not many. Same with the beds; really only Purple, Tempurpedic, and One more plain company. Wish they had a more diverse selection, but not too bad!

We went into the Burlington store and met a very pleasant woman Ruth. She happened to be the store manager and she was extremely helpful! We ended up purchasing a mattress and sofa, it was a great experience!

I bought two couches and an extra 5 year protection plan on both. They did not deliver the couches when they said they would. I had to make multiple calls to the store to finally get my couches. Within 8 months they began falling apart. I called the store and they directed me to the company that manages the protection plan. Unfortunately, the derecho and covid delayed my ability to file a formal claim. Thinking I had a five year plan I was not concerned. I finally filed the claim a year later, it was denied. Because they were falling apart at the seams, the protection plan did not cover it. The manufacturer warranty is expired. Had the store originally sent me to the correct place, I would have had it fixed. Customer service has offered to order the parts for me, that I will need to pay for. I would never buy from this store again
I had visited other furniture stores before I made it into the Ashley Homestore. As it turned out I saved the best for last. John Cavanaugh greeted me as I walked in. He listened intently as I described what I was looking for. He knows his store extremely well and guided me around to what he thought after listening to me, what might be a good match in style and quality. I have worked and managed businesses in the customer service arena, and he has gotten this lost art of customer first, down. I hope the Ashley company appreciate the people they have chosen. Because of the customer service I was given, I bought everything I needed in YOUR store and my future home purchases will be in your store as well. I have sent others to your store and I told them to make sure they ask for John Cavanaugh. Knowledge and caring is key. Looked at tons of cool furniture.
Anyone reading the reviews, do not go to this store. Their service is ridiculous. My boyfriend and I ordered a couch around April 10 and they told us it would take about two months which we were fine with. After it was time to get delivered we heard nothing from Ashley so we called and they avoided telling us that only half of our couch section was ready. They offered to send us the half that was ready or we could wait another month so we decided to wait. Month goes by. Still hear nothing. Call them, they tell us it’s not ready. We decided to get the half that is ready delivered and wait ANOTHER month for the other half. Called them another month later and they danced around telling us that it’s not ready for delivery. Our lady that helped us has been the hardest person to get into contact with to discuss this and does not express any remorse or apologize for our more than unnecessarily long wait. We have yet to receive the other half and it’s been 5 months. I don’t recommend going here to shop for furniture unless your okay waiting half a year to get it. I understand that the furniture factories get backed up but this seems a little ridiculous that we have had to call every time and not be able to reach our person that helped us originally half of the time and can never seem to call back with actual information except to say it’s not ready yet.
Love browsing and checking out options here. Staff is very helpful and no pressure.

We went to Burlington’s Ashley Homestore in search of a very specific sofa sleeper for our small home. Allivia greeted us as soon as we entered and helped us find exactly what we were looking for right away. She never once came across as being pushy; in fact, she was extremely patient with us as we went back and forth between the two couches, endlessly gathered us more info and thoroughly answered every question we had. She gave us unbiased pros and cons, sharing her personal experiences with similar furniture pieces and helped make our decision-making process so much easier and more enjoyable. We have never had such a wonderful customer service experience, especially not with a furniture store, and definitely not in Burlington, Iowa. If you are looking for new pieces for your home, don’t be intimidated by Ashley’s higher-end reputation. It is well worth the endeavor (AND we price checked similar pieces in Burlington and we know we got the best price). When you go, make sure you ask for Allivia!
My husband and I truly enjoyed shopping at this store in Burlington, Iowa. They had a great selection to choose from at reasonable prices. Best of all though was the customer service. Denise Daniel was such a tremendous help to us. She made us feel comfortable and was extremely knowledgeable about the merchandise she was selling. Came into the store several weeks ago and picked out a living room set and well as bedroom. paid cash in full, in advance..On day of delivery was told they would only be able to drop it off outside...in December. I called and offered to pay the extra 109$ they requested to bring it inside and they declined. they would of had to only cary it an extra 14 ft..wife and I are in our 60’s with bad backs, it would have been a great help.. This was our first time shopping at this establishment..we won’t be back

💁My Son bought his 1st new dining room table ! In the photo you'll see his sales-lady is in the picture, with A fun sense of humor!! ((I wrote this review and I'm adding to it now almost a year later)) .. when the table was taken home pieces of the chair cross members were falling apart. Almost a year later and the replacement parts haven't been sent. 😥 What was good turned out bad for us. We will be taking our business elsewhere from here on out. Businesses should back up there products. Some do. Well it's a big disappointment but lesson learned.

Ashley did it again. We revieve a coupon in the mail for $50.00 off any order over $100.00. No whwre on the coupon does it state excludes anything, just $50.00 off a $100.00 purchase. We arrive atvthe store with cpupon in hand, with the goal of purchasing lamps for our new home. Salesperson comes up and asks us how she can help. We explain to her we have a coupon and would like to use it on some lighting for our home. We know we can not use the coupon online as that is clearly stated on the coupon. She allows us to look we find a set of lamps we like we tell the salesperson we would like to purchase them. She takes them to the counter rings us up after 10 minutes of having log in issues with the computer. She tells us our total, we remind her of our coupon, she pjones someone asking if we cannuse the coupon. The person on the other side of the phone line states we can not use it on accessories. I ask for the coupon back. I read and reread the coupon inform the salesperson no where on the coupon does it state that. She asks if we still want the lamps and i say no and walk out. Final draw for Ashley furniture, after having no customer service again. We have a house to fill with furniture, we have spent a couple of grand thus far with Ashley, after this no thank you. Great prices and great salesman, however overall communication has been poor to nothing. Ordered many pieecs for our new home. We were told a date when the furniture would arrive, with the understannding of CoVid, we knew it would be longer. 6 weeks tovthe date we were suppsoed to get the furniture, no phone call or returned calls to the messages we left. Went to the store confronted the salesman and he was very apologetic. Returned our delivery fee and delivered the pieces of furniture that were in. We were given another date to when the rest of our furniture would be in. Delivery robo called stating furniture would be dleivered in 10 15 minutes.....Delivery guys show up with only 2 of the 4 pieces, delivery guys give info stating we should have received a call. Bottom line, Ashley will take your money and forget about the customer, they provide no communciation or keep u informed as a customer to what is going on with your furnitute. We understand there are back orders and with the pandemic deliveries will be slow, with thatbin mind do not give delivery dates and assurance furniture will be there.Goingnon 10 weeeks and still dont have our complete sets.

I went into the Ashley store about 7 weeks ago and they had great deals on their couches (almost all of them were 40% off) so I purchased one. The salesman gives me a 2-4 week ETA and all was well. 4 weeks pass, and I haven't heard anything from Ashley. So I have to call THEM and they tell me they have no idea why the salesman told me 2-4 weeks it should have been 3-5. Another week goes by so its the end of the 5th week. Guess what? Once again didn't hear anything so I call them. Turns out that the manufacturing facility is bottle necked and they tell me Mid-July, but there is a shipment coming in later that week so it could be in soon. Just to segway off of that statement, it was almost as if they had no idea what was coming in on their delivery trucks, like it was a guessing game and a surprise to what furniture they were getting. In this day and age I don't see how they couldn't know what furniture they are receiving on a delivery. Turns out my couch was on that delivery and I should get it tomorrow. My main issue is that Ashley never once reached out to me to let me know that the ETA is going to be longer than what I was told and that I always had to reach out to them. Not good customer relations if you ask me. I also understand a pandemic is going on and that wait times are longer, but instead of just repeatedly telling me one more week I would have been happier being told a longer wait time from the start rather than just telling me one more week.

I was in desperate need of a new couch and I always wanted a chaise! I didn’t want to spend a fortune and Ashley’s had a great sale going on! Allivia went ABOVE AND BEYOND answering all of my tedious questions with the most friendly and positive attitude! I have never been more at peace with a big purchase! My couch arrived perfectly within my scheduled time and was delivered with care. The assembly was simple and the couch is high quality! Not to mention SO comfy! It’s elegant but welcoming and is exactly what I wanted! I will forever be an Ashley customer and will always recommend Allivia - talk about amazing customer service with great products!

I have used Ashley HomeStore several times in other states and never had any issues. Which is why I went to them this time. I needed to purchase furniture for a small apartment. Including a bed, chair, and small loveseat. The problem began with the bed. I felt rushed the minute I stepped inside the store to buy a bed ,I was not sure about. (My fault) I listen to the salesperson, instead of my gut and ended up with a bed I hated. I even bought a base which raises and lowers via remote not realizing that while the bed could be returned after many days, the base only had a 7 day return policy. (Again, my fault for not reading the fine print closer) The issues with the store includes: 1. Whenever I would go in to speak to someone about exchanging my bed, I would be told so and so management was not in or had just left for the day.( I arrived almost as soon as the store opened) 2. When I tried to contact the business manager regarding the credit owed to me since I did not finance the bed, I was told the same thing as above and to leave a number and he/she would call me back. No matter how many times I went to the store in person or called, I never could get the Business Manager to return my calls. 3. The fact that I wanted to return the whole bed and not just the mattress really upset me. I wanted another bed entirely, even if I had to pay more-which I should have due to the amount I paid for the uncomfortable one and base I bought the 1st time. I followed all the rules, even bought the cover for the mattress they suggested. Good thing I did or they would not have exchanged it. 4. Whenever I walked into the store, the customer service was poor. I rarely found someone to help me. There was only one person on the floor who knew me from the bed issue and would come over when they were in between clients to ask if I needed help. As much as I like some of what Ashley has, this store doesn't have everything available that is shown online, nor do they have it in stock. 5. When my items were delivered, they were brought from Davenport, dropped off in Burlington and THEN picked up and brought to me. After the 1st delivery of the chair and ottoman, a few weeks later, I discovered a large slash under the bottom of the Ottoman as if caused by a knife. By then, it was too late to return the ottoman. Positives: service and delivery customer service is easy to deal with and did everything they could to make sure the items were delivered on time. The gentleman who delivered the items were great. They had an issue where they slid off the road due to the icy weather conditions and I was notified they were unable to deliver. I was more concerned about them than the items being delivered that day. They remarkably called back later in the day,and tried to bring the items. Unfortunately, by the time I recieved the message it was several hours later.

Sales person Megan was awesome but communication as a company is lacking. We were suppose to have a sectional, ottoman, a couch, and another ottoman delivered. All were in stock (which was a big deal and didnt order a different couch because it was back ordered) and spoke to a delivery scheduler while in store. Scheduled delivery for 5 days later as it was the soonest they could deliver. No worries right?... come Wednesday we get a call. One of the ottomans is not in stock and wouldn&'t come in until the following week. Okay... that&'s fine I guess as long as we get our couch. Well, delivery truck showed up and there were two ottomans and one couch. The other couch (sectional) not on the truck. When questioning the delivery guys (one in particular) he said &"you can call them when we are done-we are a long way from home and want to finish&". The other two gentlemen were very nice but Father Time (as he will be known) was rude. Get a different job if you don&'t like it. They showed up in a enterprise truck and basically contracted out by Ashley Furniture. We called the store and customer service to get an answer as to what happened. One person said it was damaged upon arrival and another person said it missed the transfer. We called both Friday and Saturday and was told the person that knew what happened would return Monday. I am surprised for Ashley being such a big company that they rely on ONE person to know anything. God forbid if they were sick or quit, then they would really be in a pickle!We get a call today and the couch is getting transferred from the warehouse but the earliest delivery is Saturday-- so it takes almost two weeks for an &"in stock&" item to be delivered. Each person we spoke to were nice enough but there was no resolution-- spending thousands of dollars in a store that will happily take your money but not deliver on their promise. If you are okay with this, then I highly recommend them. If not- maybe try someone else not affiliated with Ashley Furniture.

We went to the local Ashley store where we live in Georgia to see what they had to offer. We found a sofa we liked so I called the Burlington store. Rodney was able to order the sofa we wanted and even helped me find a recliner to go along with it for our IL residence. Excellent customer service! We will be repeat customers!

The salesman was VERY pushy and basically degraded us for calling him out on how ridiculously high the prices were compared to quality of the product. I order all bedrooms set they delivered 0nce but they missed bed and am waiting for bed they don’t know when they gonna deliver is been 1 month already I been calling them but they not give me good response now I feel why I order from them . Amy Emery at the Davenport IA store was terrific to work with (adjustable bed)! In addition, the delivery fellows, Jamie and Rob, were awesome! Another store in town couldn&'t get the same type of bed into my apartment so they took it back. Wouldn&'t even try to turn it around so they could get it in. It took them over an hour to decide they weren&'t going to bring it in. The district manager even came over to check out the situation as they had 2 others they couldn&'t get into homes that day. Something is wrong with this picture! Anyway, Ashley Furniture people are the best! A big thank you to them! PS. They were on time and very courteous!
We went to the store to order some furniture. Had to correct our telephone number a few times and they still entered it wrong which resulted in our furniture not being delivered when we were home. We had called them and got the phone number sorted. The store manager rescheduled the deliver to the following Tuesday. Three days later they called to say that they cannot deliver on the rescheduled date due to full delivery schedule and it is now rescheduled 2 weeks later. I will NEVER shop at this store again.
Normally I dont like sales reps up my butt when I'm looking because then I cant explore other options but today she wasnt pushy at all. Was very patient and even interacted with my daughter when trying out new beds. Understood my different requests for shipping. My only thing why I give 4/5 is because with shipping the dont ship on mondays and some people only can have things sent to be there on a Monday without taking off work. Other then that they were fantastic.
Rodney was fantastic and really helped me find what I needed. He was patient and very informative. Would definitely tell anyone to go see them!

Jim Smith was very friendly, patient, and knowledgable about the furniture. We went in on a Friday night and he was very helpful. We returned on Satirday ready to make the purchase but we completely changed our mind and went with a different sectional. Jim already took the time and sat with us and figured the pricing on the other sectional since we were adding pieces. However, I went and looked at a different one and we decided we liked it better. He did not get frustrated he just went with it and we made the puchase and left very satisfied. Great experience and definately would recommend them!!
Ths service with this company is absolute trash. We have delt with two stores now. We purchased a bed and draw in one store and was told they would have to get it from a different location and could send it directly to a store that was closer. We were told there was no need to pay in full and we could pay the rest when we picked it up. After reciveing no updates we called the store we were picking up from and was advise they would not send the bed without full payment. We paid over the phone with that store and did finally get the bed and drawer. Now we need to return the draw and the store we picked up from is refusing to do the return and the other store won't answer the phone even after an hour of trying.

I had the WORST experience with Ashley. If I could give them negative stars I would. I was supposed to get my furniture delivered this last Saturday. My allotted time slot was 8-11 AM. I received a call at 7:40 AM that I would be the 2nd stop. Then I received a call at 11AM that they were on the way. I then watched the truck drive by and got a call saying there wasn't a spot so they'd be back at 2PM. Then I heard NOTHING- no call and they never showed up. I could not believe it. I notified my sales associate at 7:45PM and he said he'd see what he could find out. The next day Sunday, I was told they "forgot" to call me back after they spoke to the police who said they couldn't park on the street which was a LIE. Cars were parked on the street all day and night. Every time I talked to the associate I had to call myself and it was apparent that they weren't very concerned about this. I expected that I would get information on Monday. After I heard nothing I called the store and asked to speak to the manager but was told he was busy. Then my sales associate called and actually said to me: I know you want to talk to the manager but there's nothing we can do for you and you just have to wait for delivery to call you to let you know your options. I asked what my options were because I wanted my furniture immediately and he said that isn't possible because delivery won't be able to deliver it for several days. I was furious- I should have a had a call from the manager saying how sorry they were and a resolution to how they would make this better. I ended up canceling the entire order. Even that didn't seem to phase them. They clearly do not care about their customers. I then got a passive aggressive voicemail from the store manager saying that he's sorry I was having so much trouble but there's really nothing he can do but to call back if I wanted. This company is so unprofessional and inappropriate. I will be filing a claim with the BBB as well as telling every single person about their horrible customer service. I wasted so much time on them- first about 4 hours when I ordered the furniture, 12 hours waiting for them on Saturday and the all day Sunday and Monday trying to figure out how to fix their mistake.

When I returned, Julisa made the ordering process easy and quick. Explained the warranty very well. The delivery was great and took just minutes to bring into my house. I will be back when I need more furniture...and will ask for Julisa. Everyone there was very nice too.
