We were shopping around for a while for a new bed. Decided to stop in at Ashley in cedar falls, Iowa. We were greeted and helped by the salesman: Fred P. He was very accommodating and helpful. Even though we had our toddler with us. My husband and I both had misconceptions about bed types and what would suit us and what would not. And what would last longer than the other options. Fred was more than knowledgeable. He was the best salesman I had ever come across in this industry. He answered our questions clarified. Misconceptions even gave my toddler a toy. About a month after we bought the bed we discovered that the adjustable base was broken or was missing a piece. I just got back from the store today and Fred said don't worry about it. We'll take care of you. I'm excited to get a new working base in a week or so. If you ever go into the store, ask for Fred. He's the man to talk to.. Even with my husband standing right there I told Fred I loved him. Lol.

Was there 20 minutes, no one greeted us. There were two employees that looked our direction, kept talking and didn't attempt to see if we needed help. Not to mention there ŵere no low prices as shown online. Nice store, good quality merchandise just poor customer service and misleading website.

The Ashley Furniture Store in Cedar Falls is jam pack with beautiful furnishings for your entire home. The super friendly staff answered all our questions. We were very impressed with Chris who is new to sales. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Bri was very helpful in the purchase of a sofa. She helped us find the best deal and explained the process of purchase and pickup very well. However, we were very disappointed with the way we were treated by the manager, Maryanne, when asked about price matching since their website states they price match at other qualified furniture stores. She refused to answer our question and stated they only price matched to any “local” furniture store, which was a discrepancy between the Ashley website. Thankful for Bri that she was able to make this sale for us!

Great place to find furniture! They have the biggest showroom in town with a wide variety. Once we found what we were looking for they had the best inventory and delivery of anywhere we shopped. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices may not be the absolute lowest, but the difference is negligible. We'll definitely be returning for any future furniture needs!

She went above and beyond for us. Listened to our concerns and contacted the company on our behalf. We also worked with Ben to help us select our new furniture. He is great to work with. He got down on his hands and knees to show us the construction of the furniture. He is a great communicator and ensured that we had all the information we needed. After getting it home and realizing it overwhelmed my small living room, she helped me trade it in on something that works much better. I tell everyone I know to look her up when they need furniture. I also spent quite some time with Sara in the sleep dept. Her knowledge and enthusiasm had me from the start. She is a pleasure to work with and I ended up buying a top of the line bed. I’m so happy with my purchase. I have referred a good friend to her. I’m sure he will have the same Great experience I did.
I had the absolute worst experience with customer service and customer satisfaction at this store. We spent over $3500 on new living room furniture, kitchen table/chairs and bar stools and NOTHING in our order was right besides our end tables. We were told 2-3 weeks for delivery at most, almost 8 weeks later we had our items. Our kitchen table came scratched, our sales rep ordered the wrong bar stools, even though we told her 3 times the size we needed. Had to reorder those and again were told 2 weeks and we are going on week 4. We based all of our decorations around the color of the couch and sofa we ordered and it was a completely different color... even a different sales person agreed. We were told that our lighting was different and there was nothing we could do about it but refund our delivery fee.... we DIDN'T even have it delivered. We eventually are able to get our money back, but now we will not have living room furniture or bar stools because we got rid of them when we were told our furniture was in. I will never go back to Ashley or refer anyone to them.

Let me start off by giving the biggest kudos to Fred P., sleep specialist, and Serena C., floor specialist, from the Cedar Falls location. They were so wonderful during this entire process. I started off with Fred the sleep specialist. He was so knowledgeable about mattresses. You’d think I’d know more since I’ve been sleeping on one all my life, but nope. Once you go to him, you’ll quickly find out how much you didn’t know and how much of a better sleep you could be having. He was a pleasure to work with and helped me and my son pick our new mattress at the best price point for us. Thanks, Fred! **P.S. I suggest buying the mattress covers also because they work great!** My pup wanted to mark her territory on my son’s bed, and that mattress cover did not let a drop go through. I washed it, and it’s as good as new. I’m so glad we got them. Serena the floor specialist. She was so great. So patient and understanding with us the entire process. She answered any questions we had and brought us all over the store to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. She made sure all our deliveries would be scheduled for the same date including the mattresses. She even made sure my special order would be ready for that delivery date also. I just appreciate when a team member goes above and beyond like that! We even went back to add another item to the list, and she was just wonderful every single time. When we go back, we will definitely be asking for her again. (Thanks, Serena.) Lastly, the delivery team, Aaron and Tristan, were extremely efficient and so kind. They brought everything in on time and built everything so fast. I’m so thankful for such a WONDERFUL experience and customer service from start to finish. I came to this store and did not receive any assistance. I was not acknowledged and no one helped me. I around the store for at least an hour with no assistance. No greeting or anything. This was disappointing since I prefer to purchase Ashley furniture pieces. I have been to and purchased in TN & FL but when I move back to my home state of IA I received no help from anyone in the entire store. It was not a busy day and only 2 of the employees were working, one (a black woman) with a customer and the other gentleman bringing items from the warehouse (back), definitely not a sales person. It sucks because I need a house full of furniture since I didn't want to move old stuff to my new home. Guess I will look/spend my money where I am acknowledged.

BUYER BEWARE, PLEASE! This store refuses to rectify customer issues, they will lie to you and when caught forward your calls to their Central Office. The Central Office does not care to solve your issues, they have a script they go by and there is no compromise. Please take your money to a local business with more honesty and decency. My 72 yo retired father purchased a mattress and financed it through a CC company Ashley's sales person recommended. The store NEVER told my father that he will be charged a CC annual fee that is 12% of his entire bill! When I called Ashley's Central Office offering to come in and pay the whole thing off with check and cancel the CC to get the Annual Fee refunded or return the order and purchase it with check/different credit card they said "NO". They simply refused to work with us, no solution was offered for my father. They told me "he should have read the fine print and now he just needs to pay and move on." An old man who is on fixed income gets treated like this should tell you how sketchy this business is. Yes he should have read that 10 page small fine print on an iPad he can't use and for that he will end up paying an annual fee that the sales team admittedly didn't tell him about. But hey, it was in the fine print!

Caroline, however, was NOT helpful and lied when she said we couldn't finance the amount if our purchase due to the cost amount being too low for financing. After informing her that we knew she was lying and that we had in fact financed less, she tripped over her words and became very rude, but completed the financing process. Ben deserves a raise. One year ago I bought 2 lazy boy recliners they failed 3 times total got taken back for a manufacture defect I had a store credit. Kane was helpful with getting a couch. I had measured everything except the doorway and it would not fit no big deal, that’s my fault. The delivery people took the couch back and I drove an hour to the furniture store to pick up a different couch. I got there and no one wanted to help because there was no commission in it for them. I picked a couch and finally got help a manager named Kevin. The new couch came out to about 50 dollars under my credit so I had a 50 dollar refund coming. It’s been almost 2 weeks and I have not got it I keep calling and they just say they will call me back and never do. I understand that this is a whole mess and difficult for them but it wouldn’t be if the chairs just held up in the first place. I’ve had multiple trips down there and headaches with this as well not to mention I haven’t really had any usable furniture for a year. Now on top of this I’m getting money ripped off

I don't know what set her off but she told her she would sit wherever she wanted as our salesperson was not the boss, and she should toddle off and help her customers (us). I was shocked. The only reason I am giving this store 5 stars is because of Ben. If it wasn't for him, I would have taken my money back at this point. Ben was incredibly sweet and kind to us. We had such a nice time chatting with him and he made our experience very pleasant and memorable. However. When Furniture Mart actually delivered our bedroom set to our house... the hardware for the bedframe was missing. So they put that and the mirror aside, and said they will reschedule. A week goes by, and nothing. I called, they said they would schedule the next day, and another week goes by. Nothing. I called AGAIN and requested the bedframe and mirror to be put together. They came by today and now have to have someone come out AGAIN because one of the bolts was bent. AND no one put a work order in for the mirr to be set up, so that's also not done. Again. I am really close to having everything just taken back and saying screw you to Ashley. If it wasn't for how wonderful of an experience we had with Ben, we absolutely would.

I had a wonderful experience with Sara and Carrie who helped me find the furniture I was interested in right away. Carrie showed me stylish and comfortable sofa recliner options that would fit perfectly in my living room. Sara helped me figure out exactly the right kind of mattress I needed and taught me so much more than I thought I knew about beds. I have bad back problems that got worse due to my old mattresses, but felt little to no pain on these beds. I got to try them out as long as I needed and almost fell asleep on the bed I settled on as it was too comfortable! I would have been happy with any of the selections we tried, but I felt they helped me make the best final decision for what I needed.

Will NOT be returning. Sold a couch that was marked higher in price than Ashley’s website had it listed for in order to make it seem like I was getting a much higher discount. Bait and switch. Also found out that, even though nothing says anything but Ashley on it in store, INCLUDING MY CREDIT CARD CHARGE, they are Furniture Mart and can’t honor Ashley pricing. EVERYTHING I SAW AND WAS TOLD, I was buying from Ashley. The bottom line was that it was actually an 18% discount when they said it was 46% off to make it appear to be a better deal. UPDATE: No budging from Ashley Homestore. Unlike Ashley’s lie in regards to my negative review, they did not do a single thing to remedy the situation. I offered an overly fair alternative of 30% off the current full price. Clearance is supposed to be marked 30% off. I didn’t even ask for the 46% discount they advertised on the attached picture. They told me that I could go ahead and spend more money and wait 2-6 weeks to get the same thing if I wanted. They were very flippant when confronted with their UNETHICAL PRACTICES. I found out they paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars due to this very same thing. I’ve included a pictures but you will see the same thing with a simple google search… STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! Our friends that came in with us stated they won’t EVER DO BUSINESS WITH SOMEONE WHO ACTS UNETHICAL LIKE ASHLEY HOMESTORE. They are actively looking for a new furniture store to purchase from for their new house. The gentleman who helped load at the Ashley distribution warehouse stated he has tons of problems and complaints with this specific Cedar Falls store and he works for Ashley… Interesting the comments I’ve heard.

So I bought furniture from here about a year ago. We had a fairly new dog, he chewed a hole on one couch and dug his nails in the other one to put big scratch marks in it. I remember that I had bought the extended warranty just for this. So I called the store yesterday talk to Holly. She was terrible. Very very rude. Not wanting to help me. And then she tells me don’t you have your paperwork while I was in the car because I had just remembered that I wanted to call there and I said no I’m in the car driving because we are going to have to look at your paperwork. I said you mean to tell me you don’t even have the number where I can call and make a claim? I will never buy furniture here again if I have to deal with her.

Chris Lattimer went above and beyond and helped us find and order all the items I specifically wanted. They arrived on time, exactly as expected, and we are very happy with our purchase. The gentlemen at the loading dock two weeks later was efficient and knowledgeable. A very simple process! (I even think I want 2 more chairs!)
Rachel Allen was the best. Helped me a couple times deciding what to buy. Gave me suggestions and moved chairs around for me to envision better. When problems arose she was the one that got corporate involved to fix it. Carrie Lynn was the one who fixed the error. In regard to the error. I initially ordered 8 side chairs and 2 arm chairs. The next day I decided to cancel 4 of the side chairs as the guy making my table could make a 7.5 foot bench. I called at 9:00 AM on 12/13. The gal said it was done. I confirmed she canceled the correct chairs. She quoted me $684… back. After thinking about that I realized the amount was too much. I called CS back. They said the gal canceled 2 of each type of chairs. Wrong. She said she fixed it and would have the initial gal call me back as it was her error to fix. In looking at my bank account the next day I didn’t see a change and I called back. The order was not changed. They immediately forwarded the call to Rachel. Rachel got to the bottom. Later this week I called delivery to make sure the correct chairs were on the delivery agenda. They were - and that gal was a peach too.
I’ll start off by saying if I could give 0 stars I would, but 1 was the lowest it could go. I ordered a sofa, loveseat, and a chair and qualified for in-home delivery and set up. 1. When the delivery day came, it was raining outside and the furniture was not covered. They carried it in straight through the rain. 2. They were unable to get the loveseat and sofa through the door frame. I took the door off the hinges to help the situation, and I asked them if the legs could be taken off and try that way and they refused to take off the legs of the sofa and loveseat. 3. One of the workers was trying to carry 4 cushions at once and ends up dropping two of them on the wet driveway. They threw the wet cushions with dirt on them on the loveseat/sofa and walked away like nothing happened to try and avoid the situation. The clean cushions did not get arranged where they were supposed to go and they were left in a giant pile for me to go through. Frustrated by the whole situation, I told them to leave the furniture in the garage. I was told I would have to wait several weeks for a technician to come and look at my cushions and for them to be ordered. I ended up having to go out of my way to call people to come help me. The legs were attached by a simple bolt, took less than 5 minutes to take off all the legs and we were able to get the furniture through the door frame and into the house. Horrible experience. I paid for what I thought was going to be a professional in-home delivery and set up. I got a rushed in-garage delivery, my furniture was damaged, and left scattered everywhere.
Walked in looking for a bedroom set. Holly found us a beautiful bedroom set. We moved on to purchasing a tv stand with a fireplace. Holly helped us to find an amazing deal on some fine leather seating for the family room. Next we were off to the sleep center where Kane used his expertise to find us just the right mattress. Can’t wait to try it out. He took his time and his unique salesmanship helped keep mine and my wife’s preferences unknown until he had us settled in to the perfect firmness and mattress. Kane and Holly are the best!

There are good prices here, honestly I was surprised. I felt really pressured and uncomfortable by staff. Especially when we implied we did not need help several times. We couldn’t really enjoy some of the furniture because I couldn’t even have a private conversation with my spouse, which is disappointing.

Look, I’m not an Ashley store fan at all. However this was my first time having someone like Sara to work with. She gave us superb customer service. Excellent to work with, very knowledgeable and made awesome movie references which we love. She would not have let us leave without finding and bed for the two of us to both enjoy. We wound up getting a fitting and it worked out great. We liked her so much we asked her to sell us our bedroom set. She said it was not her fortay but she had some serious knowledge of that as well! We really appreciate you Sara. We would not have continued to shop there if it wasnt for her. Our first experience was not so great! She definitely earned our business she loves what she does and it shows.

We went to Ashley Sleep Shop after my parents had a great experience there and because of the selection they have. Sara in the sleep shop takes great pride in making sure everyone gets into a bed that works for them. She is very knowledgeable and will teach you a few things you didn’t know about sleep. The store is clean. There are many options available. The staff are friendly and knowlegable about their products, but very aggressive. As a customer, you feel like prey. They stalk you around the store, which has a tardis like "bigger on the inside" feel. We felt the need to sneak away before the staff could move in for the kill.
Came in looking for two nightstands for our primary bedroom. I had been looking online for a set for months and just couldn’t commit to anything online, as we’d have to pay more for shipping and assembly. I came into Ashley and met Sterling. Told her the vibe I was going for- she walked me around the store and we came up with 5 nightstands I liked. Narrowed it down to 2 options, finally pulling the trigger on the one. Purchased them and will picking them up when they are in stock in about a month. I appreciated how Sterling took her time to let me figure out which one I wanted to buy. She let me love/hate each set she showed me. Took the feedback and used it to show me the next option. Whole thing was quick - I think I was in the store for maybe 30 min and we saw the whole showroom plus the back outlet area. Definitely will be back when we are ready for some new furniture pieces, and will be working with Sterling again.

Another great thing is that most the furniture is in stock so you don’t have to wait so that is a definite plus when you are needing some furniture!
Stopped in today to get my dad a very specific recliner. Kane Koeneke met me at the front, listened to what I was looking for. He asked important questions about my father so he made sure we were getting the right chair for his lifestyle. We FaceTimed with my dad and Kane explained everything very thoroughly. This was the the easiest furniture shopping experience I’ve ever had!

We originally started with another associate who was only interested in a sale and not our needs. We left Ashley today with the perfect sectional for not only our living room, but also our lifestyle thanks to our burrowing little Shihtzu! They don't deliver on their promises. Bought my stuff there and they had no problem taking my money. I scheduled delivery and they didn't have half my order on the truck when they showed up!!!! I paid a friend to go pick up my tables lamps and rugs!!! They still haven't gotten my bed together and it's been 2 months since they accepted my currency!!!

So the people are great but the product is wrong. We have now purchased two rugs from here we bought a 5x8 and it measures as a 8x10 even tho the upcs match and the other was supposed to be an 8x10 and we got a 8x11 which is an odd size. Luckily the room is big enough but somebody needs to fix that

I walked in when nobody else was really in shopping and it was close to closing time. Of all the people at the front nobody stepped up to helped me because I probably looked like I wasn’t going to buy anything. As in, we see you & we will help you? I might as well shop the internet & website. Ice been in sales al my life. I know customer service. They need a nudge.

Bought a living room set a couch and 2 over sized chair recliners. Had a few months, all padding fell to bottom of cushions, wooded structure coming apart, now wiring issues with power recliners. Bought extra warranty. Nobody will stand behind the products. Warranty company sent parts to us for replacement but will not come out to fix. Will never buy from this store again!!

I helped my 89 year old mom and 94 year old dad shop for a kitchen table and chairs set and matching tv cabinet when they had to downsize to make a move from their home of 40+ years to an independent living apartment. We worked with @Kane Koeneke at the Cedar Falls Ashley Furniture store. Kane was absolutely awesome to work with! We had rung up the order and paid for what they had picked out. But then mom saw something she liked better and Kane was so very patient in making the changes. And believe it or not, it changed one more time and he had to ring it up once again. But again, Kane was great. This is an excellent example of what great customer service is all about. Those of you that don't have a clue as to what good customer service is all about, you need to take a course from Kane!!! Mom and Dad love the new furniture by the way. I highly recommend this store, but you have to know, I will always ask for Kane as long as he is there!

Go to Ashley...ask for Rachel. She's the very best. I had an idea of what I was looking for, thought I had found it but she could tell I wasn't over the moon. More like "it will work". She kept thinking of different ideas and showing me several different displays but what was impressive is that she actually evolved her suggestions as she listened to my responses. The final pieces I bought were because she heard what I liked and listened intently, even when I was just rambling...she heard things I didn't even realize I was saying or knew I wanted and absolutely nailed the recommendation. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. We actually came back the next day and my parents bought furniture for two rooms of their house because of Rachel.

Bought from an affiliate of Ashley. So an approved Ashley dealer. Haven’t had great outcomes. Couch’s stitching’s aren’t solid and will Frey very quickly if used as your everyday couch. Not just set in a formal living room. The electronics on the recliners don’t work well or for very long. Says can have any repairs done by any Ashley store or certified affiliates. Yet to see as my warranty will soon expire! Will never consider Ashley again for the price of this set. Same set as Shirley!

The in store experience was fine, but any customer experience after that has been dreadful. We have been waiting for our couch (which arrived damaged) to be fixed for 3 months. We had an appointment that someone was finally supposed to come last week to fix it, and it was a no show. We were never even called to reschedule. If you try and call for help, you are sent to wait on hold for one hour for customer service that can not even do anything. Spend your money somewhere else. (We would love for you to come fix our couch or call us back!)

This place stresses me out. The salespeople will not leave you alone and follow you around the store. I think I really could’ve found something I liked but I just wanted to get out of there and stop being followed around. We went in 3 times and all 3 times the same thing happened, salespeople were literally lurking at every corner you turned.

I had shopped around for the last few weeks and came across Ashley due to a friend told me about getting fit for a bed. I came in and Sara was very nice right away. I explained what I wanted and she was very understanding. She knew exactly what I needed, and even recommended things to help me sleep even better. I didn't buy the same day. I went home and thought about it, and she sent me home with a lot of information. Even explained how I could use my Ashley card to help make it easier. My husband and I went into Ashley Homestore just looking for a basic rocker/recliner because the new one we had bought elsewhere had broke within 2 months of buying it. Kane Koeneke, the stores Assistant Manager, approached us and asked what we were looking for, what colors, purpose…etc. he showed us a few different brands, and then took us over to the lazy boy section of the store and explained the differences of the chairs, and all the things he loved about them. It was night and day difference between the lazy boy recliner we purchased and some of the other chairs we tried. Kane was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, not pushy at all, we could’ve spent the day hanging out with him. We had an awesome experience and we’re blown away by Kane. He will be our go to person for future purchases. Ashley Homestore- kudos to you for hiring such an amazing person.

I hate to be pressured and I felt no pressure from Kane. I did not buy the first day. When a returned with a friend, Kane patiently re-answered many questions and then left us alone to discuss the the decision. My new furniture is to arrive today… one week later. Count me a satisfied customer.

We LOVE the furniture we received and the guys who delivered were friendly and helpful. BUT we waited 3 months for a couch and 11 months for our coffee table. Both times our sales rep never called to say they were ready. We called out of the blue and they told us they had been ready for some time now and that we could have had the furniture way sooner. Overall we got great furniture and good service in store.

I ordered some furniture, but at the time it wasn't in STOCK they told me that it should be delivered in about a month or month and a half. That was January of 22, May came around and still nothing I didn't receive my furniture until July. When it showed up it looked like a Blind person put it together' drawers wasn't going in evenly the Glides on the side looked in terrible shape and it looked like some kind of beverage was spilled in 2 of the drawers. New Glides and a couple of drawers were ordered but when it came there were no Glides in the box... Next time I will go to the goodwill and get Furniture before I deal with ASHLEY Furniture.....

I recently bought a couch from Ashley homestore and had the pleasure of working with Val. What I thought was just me looking around turned into buying the most wonderful couch and what made it even more of a positive experience was working with someone who cares about your customer experience. Val took her time with us and truly cared in the following days after purchasing how we had been liking our new couch. We plan on coming back in the next couple of weeks to work with Val to find some new patio furniture! Would highly recommend anyone work with her when they stop by the Cedar Falls Store!

I didn't mind the furniture so much, it wasn't much to my taste but that's fine since I was looking for a pretty specific style. What made this a really negative experience was the employee just following me through the store. I don't know if this is standard practice for furniture stores, but I clearly gave off vibes of "I just want to be left alone" and she just followed me the entire time I was in the store. And it was at a distance where she must have thought I couldn't see her because she was staying at me THE ENTIRE TIME. Creepiest experience I've ever had in a store
I purchased a bed from this store and it reeked like cigarettes. I thought because I was purchasing a bed in a box that it was 100% for sure it wouldn't be tainted by other people but I was entirely wrong. Even the side of the bed was worn down like somebody had laid on it already. After contacting Ashley they made it seem like I was lying. They said that the bed was just off gassing. It's normal to smell like cigarettes. Just put apples in a bowl of water and it will remove the smell of smoke one employee claimed she did with her bed. NO this was cigarettes. We live in a home of extreme asthmatics and just one wiff of this bed we had to use our nebulizers. My youngest actually ended up in the hospital after smelling this bed due to an extreme asthma attack. I ended up going above the actual store and contacting their customer service department. They were able to get a new replacement out to me but it couldn't happen for almost an entire month. Unfortunately I had to put this bed in a room close the door and seal it off with plastic because the smell was that bad. The replacement that I received did seem brand new or at least didn't reek of cigarettes. When the guys were moving the bed out of my house they destroyed one of my lamps on my back deck. Overall I have had nothing but bad experiences with this company. I had planned on buying two more beds for myself and for my older son. Unfortunately I will never step back into this store again. I plan on taking an 800 mi trip back to Denver Colorado where I bought my original beds at American furniture Warehouse. If that doesn't explain the severity of our experience I don't know what will. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!
Went in to look at bedroom furniture and a saleswomen came over and asked if we had any questions about anything. Which was fine and said we were just looking but asked how long it was to order stuff. She told us and we said okay we will look around. She just followed us from place to place trying to talk to us about it. We had to walk all the way across the store the getaway from her so my wife and I could talk between about our decisions. We walked back to the bedroom stuff and there she was again asking what we thought. We told her 3 times we were just looking. She then said well there is one over here but it is really expensive. Assuming we don’t have money to buy thing because there ad said 20-50% off plus 5yrs financing. Which was not the case. This store offered nice stuff but the saleswomen lost out on 4000 dollars we went elsewhere because of her. I’ll make sure and share my experiences with others.

We thought we were getting a great deal for a mattress at another furniture store, but that was only until we worked with Sara at Ashley Furniture! I had only slept on hand me down mattresses so I didn’t really know what I was looking for. Sara was very knowledgeable and was able to find the perfect bed based on physiology, personal preference, and in the budget! My partner likes a more firm bed and I like a more medium bed and Sara found us one that we both loved and didn’t have to compromise for each other! Highly recommend seeing Sara for your next mattress.

Today I went to purchase matching servers that were on clearance and was so excited! When they went to load them on the moving dolly it was noticed that the entire side of one was broken and not connected to the bottom at all. I asked if they could possibly take an additional amount of at all because they were the same price but obvious not the same condition. I was told no which was fine and we decided not to purchase the broken one. I was then told that they were going to jack the price up of the one I would purchase now! They were not a set and I could have only bought one yesterday with no problem, but since I didn't want the severely damaged one they were now going to try to charge me more for the other one!! Completely ridiculous and absolutely rude of the sales manager! I just said "no thank you I no longer want either" but I will never go back

My first time going to this store probably a month or two ago during the week and I was the only customer in the store. I was there for probably a 30minutes to an hour; walked the entire store and never even got a Hello. If it wasn’t for Val about a week ago when we went I would have given a 1 star review but she totally made up for it. She was so nice and super helpful! She made really good points when we were looking and answered all of our questions. I will be going back there just for her. I highly recommend anyone to her.

Needed a new mattress as my hubby at the age of 40 has acute arthritis, needs a hip replaced and has the start of bulging discs. We were greeted by Sara Mettille, she was with another customer but kindly said she would be with us when finished. We had no idea what we wanted/needed. Sara finished up and started helping us, she did AMAZING!!! She asked us questions and had us try out different beds, some which she immediately said would not work, she showed me at one point why. My husband was literally in a V and he thought he was comfy!!! We found our bed that worked for both of us with Sara's expertise! Never slept better....thank you Sara :) Highly Recommend
My daughter and went looking for furniture for her new home. We walked through the entire store and was there a good half hour at least and not one salesperson even said hello or offered to help. Very unsatisfied.
Was at the cedar falls store on 2/13/22 First sales person I talked to was very pushy i told him I was just looking he then followed me around no matter where I was he seemed to be watching felt like I couldn't shop in private ...he then informed me he was "a fountain of answers" however the lady in the sleep shop was very well educated and not pushy
the worker who answered the phone decided she’ll just sit chat & giggle with another worker while i had important questions i was asking. stay professional at all times or find somewhere else to work. the supervisor didn’t care either, tried justifying her actions. you get paid commission , act like it.

I bought a couch and rockers recliners, they had the couch so put it on reserve (they were told I would want my couch October/November) other rockers would come in January and 3rd one July (special order). They sold my couch and now with out one the manager did nothing it was the sales person who has helped me with his mistake, manager said corporate is the ones who did it and corporate said they can't do something like that .
My husband and I did not have a great experience here. We went looking for a few things for our new house, and the salesperson was pushy, as I would expect a commission-based employee to be. What I wasn't expecting was for her to follow us around the store at a distance and watch us like a hawk. That scared both of us. We finally left after she turned to help another customer. I understand they want to make sales and make money. But please do not stalk your customers around the store. If they need help, they will find you.

My husband and I had a great experience here May 2021, bought a new couch and love seat. Rodney was great to work with, we got the furniture for a great price, delivery went smoothly. Completely different experience Nov 2021. Went in for a new mattress during their Black Friday sale. Sara Mettille helped us pick out a mattress and, although very pushy, she was fairly helpful. She stated she set up delivery for the following Wednesday and that we just had to call Monday to confirm a time for Wed. We called the delivery number that Monday then and they had no record of any delivery scheduled for Wednesday. We called Ashley the next day to talk to Sara and she was very rude and claimed she never said she set up delivery, blah blah blah. My husband, myself, and our two friends who were with us the night we purchased the mattress all heard her confirm that. Just annoyed at the customer service and lack of communication. We also bought an adjustable base, sheets, and pillows with our mattress. We spent plenty of money to, at minimum, have good customer service. On a separate note, our friends who purchased a recliner here summer 2021 had a terrible experience with sales associate Holly. They were price comparing while in the store since Ashley price matches (I think?) and at one point Holly literally stated “I can’t offer you that price, that will affect my commission”. Completely unprofessional. Will be shopping elsewhere for our furniture/mattress needs from now on!

I dealt with Kane Koeneke today (Nov 15, 2021). He was very helpful and thorough in explaining all aspects of my purchase. It was very much appreciated. I also appreciated his allowing me to browse unattended; there was no pressure from him to make a sale. Because of that, It made me much more inclined to buy at Ashley Homestore and it makes me more likely to visit again in the future for any furniture needs.

First impression very pushy just like you would expect in any commission-based stores employees were very helpful if they thought you were going to buy something if you didn't think you were going to buy anything they weren't very helpful a lot of quick judgment going on in there but I needed some new furniture so I looked hard for the good deals and it was hard a lot of the stuff is way overpriced probably to cover for their commission

This is less of a reflection on the Cedar Falls store and more on the company as a whole. We purchased a bedroom set and 3 of our pieces either came damaged or were damaged during delivery (along with my door). They are being replaced, but the first time I called to report the damage I was not asked to schedule a new delivery time. We called back to see if we needed to and we’re told it would be on x date. Heard nothing. Called again and found out it was never scheduled so now we are waiting even longer. I had to go to the store twice to get a refund for my mattress because it wasn’t processed correctly the first time. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY. Update: they replied to this review with an email to try and correct the issues and guess what?! I emailed them and no response. Ashley Furniture has honestly impressed me with how bad their customer service is. This is ridiculous. Don’t reach out and offer to fix the issues and then not respond.
WOW! I am amazed by the service Sara M. Gave us. She greeted us right when we walked in the door! We were on the hunt for a new mattress but weren’t quite sure what we were looking for. Sara helped us figure out what works for us. She talked to us and noticed little things about our posture in each bed we laid in. I’ve never had better service at any store! Val took A lot of time with me. But then I was going to not get the couch and then she got very upset with me. And I can understand because she spent a long time with me I was going to get the couch and then changed my mind. I specifically did ask if a table could fit under the couch so I can eat on the couch. She said yes I should’ve tried it out because it doesn’t fit under the couch. Update this is week before Thanksgiving. There is a flaw with this couch and every time I get super comfortable my leg accidentally hits the buttons and it reclines. I don’t want it to recline unless “I want it to”. This should actually have a 3.5 star. It’s annoying and it happens multiple times when sitting on the couch. Also you can’t slide a table underneath the couch.

She was not pushy and gave my husband and me space to think about our options until we made a choice. What else? The next day I texted Val to let her know we also needed a matching ottoman, she went to work on her day off to fulfill the sale. I love the chair and ottoman too!!

I am very upset with my overall experience with Ashley. We went when we got off work and decided on a sectional probably around 7pm. An hour before they close. We had to track someone down to help us because no one wanted to. Then I called after two weeks when they said our couch would be in and I was told that our person was no longer a sales person and they would work on it. Another week later I called back and asked what was going on. They said everything was in stock and confused why it hadn't been delivered yet. Said we could get it ourselves but it would be a month till we got. To make up for that they would not just do normal drop off they would bring it inside for us. We said okay. We waited a month and they dropped it off at our doorstep after calling 10 minutes before they were to be there and left. Can not explain how bad the communication and overall experience was for something that was suppose to take two weeks and be easy. That changed to two months and nothing that was told to us.
Sara was helpful at finding the proper bed for us. She never tried making us like something that was off. Glad she could help us.
Mr. Wanek, April13th at 1:45 I visited the Ashley in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Another lady and I were both trying chairs. After 15 minutes we both left. I went back today, the 14th at 1:15 p.m. I wanted to order a chair. I had it picked out! There were 6 employees in the store:4 ladies at the desk and 2 salesmen on the floor. We went by the desk and salesmen. Not ONE person greeted us. There was one other customer in the store. Frustrated, I went to the desk and expressed my feelings in a calm manner. They did look up from their computers, the salesman kept on his iPhone. I told them the story I just wrote. Not one of them said a word. We simply turned around and left.,I thought you might want to check on these employees and the service policy. Granted, I was only buying a chair, Sally
I had a great experience here! My sales person was Holly and she was great. I was not sure what I wanted for furniture and she guided me throughout the store. She was knowledgeable and very patient as I went through the buying decision. I highly recommend Holly and Ashley HomeStore! Cheers!

In Cedar Falls shopping for a recliner forhe didn't have another the same color. my 93 yr old mother. It definitely needs to be a Lazy Boy! Just left Ashley Homestore very disappointed because Rodney (manager) said that he would love to sell the recliner that was selected but just could not because there wasn't another the exact color on the floor. When asked if he could show a color swatch, he said no.
Shopping to buy a recliner for my 93 year old mother, the manager Rodney didn't cooperating with us. he wouldn't sell one on floor because they didn't have 2 colors the same.
I Love Ashley’s furniture store in cedar falls they have so many things to choose from and there staff is amazing, I was helped by a young lady there named Rachel, both times that I’ve been there and she pointed me to the right direction both times, and she really knew her stuff, and she was really helpful and polite, I will definitely becoming back for more furniture in the near future thanks Rachel for being so helpful. You definitely get 2 thumbs up from this guy.

I love my sectional, but the customer service is horrible. My sectional was delivered with two corner cushions and missing a regular cushion. The delivery guys said they would report it and have one sent out as soon as possible. When I called the next day they had not reported it. I had to argue with the customer service to convince them that I had the wrong cushion! I ended up sending a picture to prove it. I've had to continually call and see what's happening. Finally its at the warehouse. The communication was very poor. Edited to add- went to the warehouse and it was just a cushion cover that was shipped! I still don't have my cushion. It has been over a month now that I have been dealing with this.
After waiting 6 months for a couch I ordered from another company, I decided to check out Ashley Furniture— glad I did! Val was super helpful and so nice. I found a loveseat and sofa I really loved for half of the price that I paid for the one sofa with the other store. Best part was that both pieces were already at the warehouse in Cedar Falls and could be delivered to me within days. I decided to cancel with the other store. (Of course when I called to cancel with the other store they miraculously had my couch ready to deliver. No thanks.) The delivery with Ashley was quick and smooth. They easily got both couches inside and set up in less than 10 minutes. I was very happy with my whole experience with Ashley Furniture!
This is a beautiful store, and very happy to have it close to us. We came in to buy numerous things and we were warmly greeted by Val, who assisted us with everything. She was very knowledgeable and friendly, and went out of her way to help us. I believe she was the assistant manager and still so helpful with sales. Great experience and happy to work with such a wonderful person. Thank you Val and thank you Ashley Furniture for coming to town.

Really nice new store. People were very friendly and helpful. Edit :Definitely wont go back. They delivered the wrong mattress. When I called the store to inquire, they gave me a 1-888 number to call, which was experiencing high call volume. 20 minutes later I was told it was ok to sleep on the mattress(am I gonna sleep on the floor?) until they can get the one we ordered delivered. 2-3 weeks.
Poor communication. I stopped in on 1/16/21 & purchased a mattress. I was told it would take a week or two, but they would call me, that was fine. I waited until 2/2/2021 & I called to follow up (waited full 2 weeks) since I hadn't heard back. The person I spoke to said they would look into it & call me back, I did not receive a call. 3 hours later I called again to ask about it (I felt 3 hours was a reasonable amount of time to search for an order & update). I was then told it would be another week & that they would call me. I waited until today 2/12/21 and I had still not received a call. I called to ask about it & was told that they had received it, but hadn't called me.... I don't know when it came in & I basically had to wait 1 month for 1 mattress, the cherry on top will be going to pick up the order & it's the wrong product. If it takes almost a month to receive a product, please be straight forward & say it takes a month, not "2 weeks" & then it becomes 3 weeks then 4 weeks.
We finally made it to the new Ashley Furniture Store in Cedar Falls! Caleb met us at the door with a great welcome . As we traveled through the beautiful store we ended up at the Lazy Boy department where we met Val and she guided us through a great buying experience!

Ashley's has great quality furniture with a great price! They also can price match I believe? They have so many specials or discounts just tell them what you're needing and go from there. I came in solely looking for a basic regular everyday bed. I was persuaded into a bed that can lift both feet and head up along with a under glow bedframe light etc. Long story short Michael and Marvin were the best! I feel like they got a chance to get to know me to better assist me. They were so great I felt as if I was talking to my everyday friends about what I am looking for instead of a floor salesman. I ended up buying all of my household furniture - it's a one stop shop!
A very nice looking store with a friendly, very helpful and knowledgable staff. I am really impressed with the overall quality of products that this store sells and I feel their prices are right in line with most peoples budgets here in the Cedar Valley.
