What a great experience working with Jeremy M. today! Normally my husband is Not very big on shopping for furniture so working with Jeremy was key to us getting a whole living room set and 4 stools to sit at our island! He gave very helpful suggestions on changing colors to match our tastes!! He was also very reassuring to make everything come together! We are extremely excited to get all this new furniture to match w what we already have. He was also great at giving us time to talk and make our decision.

Jeremy McNeely was my sales person 2 years ago when we bought a sofa and loveseat. He promised at the time if we had any issues at all he would help. He is a man of his word. I previously bought a couple couches from here and now that the wife and I are moving we decided to pull the trigger on another. We ended up talking to the same guy, Troy, that we did the time before. Laid back and truly wants to get you the best deal. He was great at communicating through text when we had a couple questions after we left the day before and even went above and beyond for us in a way as well. Larry was also very helpful. He answered multiple questions for us at times that Troy was tied up. They only had one lamp in stock that we wanted, and we really wanted the pair. Larry found that lamp on a competitor's website and came and shown it to us to make sure we could get the lamps we really wanted... that's pretty impressive and another reason we'll be coming back. In no way did they ask me to leave a review, but great customer service deserves to be recognized beyond just word of mouth. THANKS GUYS!

The staff here is so rude. We have bought SO many things from Ashley furniture but now we just go to the coralville location to avoid terrible customer service at this location. They really need to train this staff on how to talk to the customer.

If you are looking for furniture this is the place to go! I recently bought a house so I need almost all new furniture. I worked with Larry McGovern Jr, if you go ask for him he is AMAZING!!!! Larry let me go through the process of determining what I might want and he was right there to answer questions or ask me questions about my new home. What I loved is that he asked about me and my family and got to know us which also helped to find the right things. When some of the pieces didn’t end up working he was right there to help me find something that would. He got all the specs from the furniture that didn’t work so we didn’t select things that were too big again. He stood there with a tape measure and helped me measure new pieces. He took care of not only getting me something that would work but something we LOVED! I have more shopping to do and when I’m ready I know I will go to Ashley and work with Larry again! It was a lot of fun working with you thanks Larry!

I came in last week to buy a new bed set. Troy V was so helpful and really made sure I was making a solid choice. He even went above and beyond to locate a color I had seen online but was not in store. I am so happy with my purchase experience. To make things even better I got a call yesterday to schedule delivery two weeks early than expected. I will be making all future furniture purchases from Ashley!
Great service in the store sold me on a couch. No issues seemed like a perfect couch in store. A week later get it home two days cushion sinked all the way to the baseboards of the couch. Call the customer service number. Was told someone will come out two weeks later someone comes out says that they’ll have someone come out to replace my cushions 2 to 6 weeks and will send me ottoman legs that we never got with our ottoman. Never got in mail either. Going into July and they don’t even have the parts in and they have an attitude with me on the phone cuz I’m trying to figure out where my couch parts are . 2,500Spend money on such cheap put together furniture. I’d rather go to La-Z-Boy and spend 5,000 on good quality than go back to Ashley’s. I even explained to the sale man why we went Ashley’s as our last couch we got from Furniture Row was also put together terribly and broke after a week.

Yesterday we stopped in to Ashley to look for a recliner’s for my dad. He had a list of things he wanted. When we walked into the store we were warmly greeted by Troy. He then let us look and sit and explore checking on us occasionally. I tell you all of this because it was a great experience did not feel pushed. Troy was a delight to talk to and work with. So if you go order be ready to wait a couple weeks longer then what they tell you and it's also great how the moving company they use only delivers to my town on Saturdays. It feels great to spend a large amount of money and get screwed by ashleys. So thank you I will not be shopping there again and I've dropped some good money to. If I didn't want my new couch so bad I would cancel this order because this is just disgusting that this company can't deliver on time again. Update: got a phone call about my order and they say it's still another month out. Ashleys furniture is the worst furniture place to use. Update: once again I have to call to find out where my couch is almost 2 months now waiting to find out it will be even longer now and once again there stupid delivery service only delivers on Saturdays to where I live so by time it comes in I'll have to wait another week just for them to deliver. The only thing they can say is if I want to come in and look for a different one that will be here quicker I can. Wow this place really is something else
I’m building a video production studio, and have been on the hunt for furniture for our different sets, so I decided to pop in to Ashley while I was in the area. When I walked in I was pleasantly greeted by Mark who I told I was going to wander aimlessly. He gave me a quick rundown of how the store is laid out, and let me browse in peace. After almost the perfect amount of time, Mark appeared where he swiftly answered the many questions I had. As I continued my search throughout the store, Mark gave me space and quickly found the answers to the many questions I had when required. I wasn’t pressured to buy more than I was confident in which was nice, and Mark graciously walked the part of my order I could take with me out to my truck. Jeremy has been amazing! He has consistently got us better deals than we could find anywhere online, even for the exact furniture from the Ashley website. I strongly recommend you go and see Jeremy. If you are considering buying furniture, he will hook you up! We looked and looked and looked for the right table at the right price and the only place that had it was Ashley, it came in under budget and over quality! We are thrilled 🙂 we also bought couches and recliners from Ashley about 7 years ago, and we have loved them and still love them to this day!

I ordered a living room set (loveseat, sofa, and recliner) from Mike Ritchart at Ashely's. He was great at answering all my questions on the type material the set was made of and helping me find exactly what I wanted. He explained the shipping details and what to expect during delivery, what was and wasn't covered with the warranty, and gave all the financing options. Ultimately, I paid in full and the living set was delivered a month later. The delivery people were careful and respectful of my home. I highly recommend going to Ashley's and requesting to work with sales rep Mike Ritchart.

First, I'd like to preface this in saying everyone at the store level was 5 stars. Jeremy was our sales person and knocked it out of the park through this entire ridiculous process. We ordered a couch, love seat, recliner, table and chairs, and a TV stand. Everything came in on time, and all but 3 chairs were grease stained and damaged. The delivery drivers stated they told the warehouse about the dirty truck and were told to use more blankets. Then, he proceeded to tell me that the warehouse will take it back, clean it, and send it out as new to someone else. Then added...they also do this with mattresses. Quote" if you sleep on it a few nights and return it, they'll just bag it up and send it back out." Fast forward. I received a call telling me they would come clean all the furniture and try to fix what was done. Give me 10% off and VOID MY WARRANTY! at the point the store manager took over the return and scheduled a full exchange. I asked that our new furniture remain in the factory plastic considering the "white glove" service we paid for clearly was a waste, and i didn't want used furniture . It arrived today. Was left on our wet garage floor. It took nearly an hour for the delivery people to take the old furniture out. They put 0 effort into protecting our carpets and kept the door open the entire time on this 25 degree day. When I asked if they'd at least help being it in, they contacted their "boss" who said they won't do that. I proceeded to unwrap and move it in myself, then started assembling all of the pieces . I asked if they would at the least take a little of the plastic or cardboard with them since my garage is now full of trash from the furniture. They said yes. Then left quietly and didn't take anything with them. I'd like to add these movers (different from the first) confirmed with very little effort on my part that the warehouse does in fact, do everything the first movers said they do. I won't be doing business with Ashley again. My suggestion is save the headache and go ANYWHERE else. Unless you're in the business of being punished for the mistakes the warehouse makes..then by all means keep on shopping.

Ordered a TV stand. The TV sand was damaged at the warehouse. We agreed to replace is with a TV stand the was identical to the one that was broken. They tried to pull a fast one on us and tried to give us the one they broke but glued on the leg.. when delivery came the guys told us it broke AGAIN. So we went in complained. We found one we liked ashleys gave it to us for the price of the broken one with free delivery. Welp it happened AGAIN! They broke the new one in transit once again.. 3 TV stands broken and this all started in December 2023... 2 months later still no TV stand... poor shipping and handling services. -1 start.

We found a set we liked, and he pointed us to a few sets that were better at the same price range of the first set. Finally, we decided on a set that looked good and was in the price range. Diana & Michelle saved the day at Ashley furniture! My MIL had a total hip replacement and her current recliner rocked. After several very painful days of helping her get in and out of her recliner we decided she desperately needed a stationary lift chair that fully reclined. Diana understood our crisis well and tried to help us pick out the best option they had in stock. Unfortunately my MIL was not well enough to try them out and the one we took home was too tall for her and her feet didn't touch. A few days later Michelle could not have been more kind about exchanging for a smaller lift chair. She's settled in now and one step closer to her independence and a successful recovery. Thank you kindly for your compassion and help.

Got a beautiful loveseat and couch from here about a year ago. There are so many varieties of different furniture here and I could spend hours looking through it! Jeremy was super helpful when we stopped back in to talk about the warranty.

Low quality furniture and bad customer service
My husband and I went into the Ashley store on the sw side of Cedar Rapids today looking for a new couch! We came out with a new sectional, an outtaman, and an outdoor lawn chair! Larry M. was amazing to work with! So helpful and knowledgeable! We cannot wait to get our new purchases into our living room!

This place is a joke, buy warranty doesn't cover what it should. They give you the run around, instead of offering solutions. Even though their staff admits the problem should be covered. What the hell happened to customer service. Purchase your furniture somewhere else.

Went in today looking for a new mattress and frame. Duane helped us and we looked at several options. Duane was very knowledgeable and patient with us as we decided. He wasn't pushy or high pressure, even while our kids were bouncing all over. We purchased and cannot wait for our bed to arrive.
I am not one to ever complain about a business, I completely understand mistakes happen, but Homemakers Desmoines, absolutely horrible customer service, endless lies, waiting for calls from the company, etc. I would give them a negative star rating if I could.
We have been working with Mark at Ashley in Cedar Rapids. We purchased quite a bit of furniture from Ashley when we moved here and most recently bought a bunk bed a week ago. Upon delivery but after they left we noticed permanent visible stickers on 2 of the bed frames which prove difficult to remove. After calling AF we are Expecting technician 2/28 to remove these from bed frame. Mark has been helpful so far in getting this arranged. Will keep you posted.
Out of the multiple furniture stores in cedar rapids, I had my best sales experience here. I came in knowing the kind of styles I was looking for and Mark N. Showed me multiple different options at different price points while sharing good details about them. I will be back again when I need more furiture

This was our first time ever buying brand new furniture. My husband and I came in not knowing what to expect. I felt very overwhelmed-I never knew there were so many options, configurations, colors, fabrics, styles, etc. Jeremy greeted us, was very friendly but not pushy at all and let us look around and do our thing. He checked in on us every once in a while to see if we had questions. We left with a couple of couches in mind and went home to take the time to think about it. We came back as soon as they opened the next day and asked for Jeremy again. He answered our questions and again was very knowledgeable of everything, making us feel comfortable in making our decision. We pulled the trigger and ordered a couch that we are very excited about. We could not have had a better experience and will definitely come back again.
Horrible customer service, very rude sales people. Black girl sat at the desk and looked like a deer in headlights when asked a question. The older man took forever to show mattress, had me walk around the entire store only to be told it wasnt in stock. Doesnt deserve one star, I wouldnt buy a light bulb at this place, so pathetic.
My son needed a sofa with a chase, found what we needed at a good price, he wanted me to go to slumber land and furniture row where he had found what he liked, I suggested we go to Ashley's with their high end and affordable end furniture, Mike helped us out and directed us to exactly what he wanted, he bought it was delivered with in a week
Worked with Larry on a living room couch and love seat ended up getting the party time set as well a set of end tables and coffee table experience was great Larry was helpful and not pushy at all answered any all questions I needed 5 stars for Larry 😎 the delivery went also the guys who brought it were nice put it where i wanted they were running late but they called and let me know also the link that is provided to track it is awesome the only downside was the coffee table was broke… the delivery guys took pictures of it and said that customer service would reach out and send a new one out
Mark N. was such a great salesman. I came in the day before purchasing to look at a couple of couches and get a sense of their comfort and what payment options were available. He walked me through it all and printed out the prices for me to take home and discuss with my family. He wasn’t pushy as all and just wanted me to make the best decision for myself. I went back in the next day and to purchase and he was able to get us all checked out quickly. He was a great guy to work with! He showed me a few more accessories so I will be back soon to get those from him! Great experience and the couches were very reasonable and will look great in our home.

Went in looking for an entertainment stand for my new 70 inch TV with a fireplace. The store only had smaller ones that had the fireplace, in the store, but Jeremy McNeely took the time to show me that one they had on the floor could come with an insert that would be big enough for my TV. Great experience and I will be back for new bedroom furniture!

Spent nearly $4k on mattresses and had a decent experience with the sales rep. The experience with the delivery crew was unacceptable. They were unprofessional, rude, filthy and refused to attach our headboard which the sales rep promised they would do. Zero stars would be more applicable.

Worst experience I have ever had with any furniture store. Sales messed up my order multiple times. I was misinformed and lied to multiple times about my deliver date. Every time I call I have to wait on hold for 20-30 minutes. The delivery people refused to assemble my furniture and bring it in my home (after waiting 4 months for this all as well). I want a full refund and the furniture out so it isn’t blocking my home & road. I cannot assemble any of this because I just had rotator cuff surgery. But they don’t care. Absolute disrespect and rudeness are the only words to describe all my experiences with this company. Never again. I can’t even believe how awful this has all been. Slumberland people are very kind, the delivery men aren’t rude (like Ashley), they make sure all your needs are met, etc. Will be going back to them from here on out! Editing my review to add this because I don’t see an option to reply. The assistant manager and salesperson were very diligent in following up on the matter with me the following day. However, customer care was absolutely terrible. I spent almost a almost total of 2 hours on hold and then they hung up on me. Afterwards when I called back they told me they wouldn’t do anything for me. I then found out that the people at the store were having the same issues as well, calling customer care on my behalf. Fix your customer care Ashley! My apologies were said to the staff at the store (AM & Sales that helped me). I appreciated their help, but there is no excuse for the customer care employees! The process needs reviewed.
Larry McGovern is the person you want to work with at Ashley Home Store. He is knowledgeable, friendly, organized, and customer service driven. I worked with him (long distance) from California moving my son into an apartment. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him and he got the job done.
Not too friendly at all
I tried giving Ashley’s another go after we bought an item that was poor quality and it did not hold up. Our recent item never held up either. Came to conclusion the furniture here is poor quality. Bought a sectional and the cushions was basically smashed down to the point it hurt to sit on it. This happened within a week or two of owning it. Called customer care and they replaced them but it took couple months to even receive one cushion out of 2. So they had to put another order in for them, which took another month or two. Even the new cushions completely smashed down within another week. I tried to give Ashley’s another try, but I will not buy from them again. When I pay thousands of dollars, I expect good quality.
For our 20th wedding anniversary we decided to buy ourselves new recliners. Walked in your lovely store and Jennifer Stevens asked us if we needed help. We showed her a picture of the recliner we were looking for. She walked us right to it checked on the availability and bam our shopping was done. What an amazing salesperson and so friendly and knowledgeable. Best furniture shopping I have ever experienced!!!
We got a couch a love seat 2 end tables and a center coffee table. Paid several thousand dollars for them. Well within 6 months they started breaking. We asked them for warranty and repairs and here it is over a year from the first call and we still have broken furniture. They came out one time inspected the furniture said they ordered parts but never heard from them since. Called multiple times and nothing. Sent emails and nothing. This is overpriced garbage that I'm paying for. I would never recommend using Ashley's.
We purchased a table and chairs, two end tables and a server from here back in January. When shopping everyone was very helpful at the time. We were told that we would have our end tables in March and everything else would be here in June. When March came around we did not hear from anyone so we reached out. At that time he informed us that all of our stuff would now be in early May except for a couple chairs that would be at the end of May. When the middle of May rolled around and we did not hear back we reached out. He then told us (after we got rid of our old kitchen table due to a lack of communication) that it wouldn’t be in until June. We understand that these things happen and that’s fine but what’s not okay is the LACK of communication. A simple phone call would have been helpful with updates. We bought a couch, recliner, bed and bed frame from the Coralville store and they made sure to contact us with updates to keep us informed. Cedar Rapids Store was able to find us a table that we got and when we received it there were no instructions. Thankfully we were able to access them online. We did reach out to the manager and talked to him and he did make things right and was very apologetic, however the fact that we had to deal with it in the first place is not okay.
My sales lady Jen went above and beyond to find me a lift chair that would fit me- to no avail, but no fault of hers they were in the back of the store. Upon ready to leave she grabbed an accesory cart to get me to the front of the store. Even though there was no sale, she was amazing! Thank you!
My wife and I purchased 2 bedroom sets for our new home. Somehow in the process some paperwork got messed up and our financing was incorrect. Troy our salesman was extremely helpful on getting everything sorted out and getting the financing fixed. Customer service was 10 out of 10. Troy and Stephanie (the finance lady) always answered any questions we had thru the process.
We've purchased several pieces of furniture here the past 3 years and have been satisfied with each buying experience. We like the variety of styles and prices the store offers so it was easy to find something I wanted each time I was looking for something. We've been working with Duane and would highly recommend him. He listens to your "wants", has never tried to oversell or be pushy and was honest with me when I needed him to be. Buying furniture during this time frame could have been a nightmare due to the pandemic and derecho but it never became an issue due to the honesty upfront about availability and the time frames that might occur. We will be shopping for more furniture once our storm repairs are completed and this store will definitely be our "go to" place. Also, an added bonus and one I would like to emphasize is the huge selection of decor throughout the store. That, too, will be some of my future purchases. The downside is that the decor isn't included in their sales, but the upside is that the pieces are reasonably prized if you do any comparison shopping. This Cedar Rapids store has earned a 5-star rating from us.
I was able to purchase furniture that I love at Ashley Furniture! We just recently bought our first home and this was our first time buying new furniture. Diana (I apologize I can't remember if it was Diane or Diana) was a great help and showed us several options based on what we were looking for. We never felt pressured to buy or pressure to get the biggest most expensive option. We ended up with a sectional and coffee table that we love and Diana made the process quick and easy. Furniture shopping can be overwhelming, but this was a breeze! I also like that they have a good protection program for the furniture that really isn't all that expensive, and if we don't use it we get store credit which is a great deal we don't lose out on our money. Great experience overall, I will definitely be shopping here again.

We have bought furniture twice now from Ashley - specifically working with Mike Ritchart. He remembered us from a few years ago when we bought our first set. Such a nice guy and really knows how to take care of his customers! We will definitely be back when we need more furniture!
I personally do not shop here I stopped in to see what they had. Although I did sub-contract for this place, I've seen some really nice furniture, and also seen some really bad/cheaply made furniture. It all depends on the dollar bill "the more you spend, the better the quality of furniture you will get"
I thought there was something wrong with me 2 years ago being a grown man and not knowing what the hell I needed to buy for a bed. . Full. .King. .Queen. . Anyone's guess..but as soon as I went in I felt comfortable (as soon as the other people left) lol I ended up with a queen medium firm pillow top and raised storage frame. .it's the best bed I ever had and I'm so happy I randomly chose this store. .thank you for the great service!

Bought our furniture about 6 months ago and it’s September and still missing two pieces of it. Was told when we bought it, the couch and chair would be available in the month of March, then April, then May, then June, then July, now September. It’s September and no one has called us about our paid furniture. When we called in July, they just kept saying it’s a popular set, I’m sorry! We asked if we can just return the love seat and get a different set that was available when we called in July, but was told we couldn’t Bec we used it already. Well yes, we used it. We thought we would have the rest before summer. Please give us our paid furniture, I think 6 months has been plenty.

My husband and I walked in looking for a specific couch. We couldn't find it and no one approached us to ask if we needed help. I went to the front counter and an employee walked passed me, almost running into me as if I wasn't there, didn't smile or so hi, or ask if I needed help. I walked away and came back 5 minutes later and that same woman was sitting at the desk. Completely ignoring me. No one seemed to want to help us. So we decided to leave. We won't be going back.
It would have been nice furniture if they had delivered all the pieces. I called and asked for the missing pieces the same day that the set was delivered, two days later they delivered the wrong pieces again. Throughout the process I spent multiple hours on the phone with different representatives telling me they couldn’t help me with my problem and only the first representative could help me but she was t at work and they couldn’t tell me when she works and she was supposed to call me back with answers but she didn’t. One of the representatives was confused that I was missing pieces because it’s supposed to come in a box, but it didn’t- I’m pretty sure they gave me a used bed! It was such a pain and I never even got the missing pieces so I gave up and asked where I could return the entire bedroom set, as they couldn’t figure out how to give me all the pieces that I paid for and I don’t want a bed that doesn’t match the rest of the bedroom furniture, she said I couldn’t return it yet because they didn’t have space for it at the store and if I dropped it off anyway they wouldn’t refund me my money if it was damaged from being outside their store. I just wanted a complete bed! I don’t think that’s an unreasonable ask but they acted like I was the jerk the entire time. I went to Slumberland for a new bedroom set to replace this one afterwards and the service was a million times better for every step of the process.
Mark Neuhaus has helped us furnish our basement family room, select mattresses for our girls and now furniture for our upstairs living room. He is always a pleasure to work with! Friendly, thorough and helpful in every way! Ashley Furniture is always our go to when looking for furnishings for our home. The selection is amazing and the employees are the best!
My girlfriend and I bought a whole new bedroom set. The saleswoman who helped us was amazing and very nice. However, two days of use the bed frame broke. All it needed was a new bolt and nut. They told us a month before they could get a tech out to look at it. We decided no point we need to be able to sleep on it. Then last night after having it for a month more was needed. Broke on us again. Poor building materials. Poor customer service. Poor assembly. And more work for us to keep the bed together and with the price of it is very unfortunate.

We worked with Jennifer Stevens to find the perfect mattress and she was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgeable about all the mattresses. I walked in and told her exactly what I wanted and she did a great job making sure that the mattresses I tested were exactly what I was looking for. I would have been in that store for 2 hours trying to figure it out, but she helped me narrow it down in no time, stay within my budget, and we were in and out of there very efficiently. Very affordable but I'm starting to think they are hoping you forgot you bought something from them.. I bought a couch back in January and was told it would be delivered in mid-March. When the end of March rolled around with no word, I called Ashley to ask about when my couch would be delivered. This is when they told me that my couch was not in yet and wouldn't be in until May. When I expressed my frustration they told me there was "nothing they could do". At the end of April I called again to check on the status of my couch and miraculously it was in. Now I'm wondering why no one called me to tell me it was in. When I asked, the woman on the phone told me that she has nothing to do with calling customers so when I asked who does, she told me that she doesn't know. It is amazing to me how nobody at this store is accountable for anything. Why is it that the communication is so poor that no one calls to tell you your item will be late or that it has arrived at their facility????? On top of all that, even though my couch is "in" it can't be delivered for another two weeks. You would think that after waiting 5 months to receive my couch, they would expedite the delivery. Do better, Ashley.
I bought a bed from Ashley's and love it. I just bought a couch from them and my next purchase will be a dresser. I love their furniture and you can even pay on it until it's paid off after which they will deliver it.

Although staff is very friendly, the wait to receive your furniture is simply not worth it. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! We were told we would receive our couch Feb 10 latest (after ordering it on Nov 22). Since then, it has been pushed back to March 1st, then March 8th, then March 24th, and now April 8th! Throughout this entire time, we didn't receive a minimal apology until March 8th, and we only received a $50 refund for the $2500 we spent on the couch. After all of this, we STILL do not have our couch. We have supposedly been 1st on the waiting list since February, but the amount of time it has taken to make one couch is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. We will never purchase from this store again.

I had a delightful experience working with sales person Duane! Not all the furniture would fit in my home and the delivery people took it back during delivery. My husband was not happy with the recliner as he had trouble getting out of it. When I arrived at the store Duane was very attentive to my needs of an exchange. Very happy with the service and furniture I received.
I think I was the only customer in store this afternoon and not once did anyone ask if I needed help finding anything.
Spent quite a bit on a couch and loveseat and told it would be in within a month. Our house went through allot with the derecho and we needed new furniture. Month came and went. I called requesting an update and told another week or two and that they would get with our sales REP Jeremy (CR,IA) and get back to us. No call back. Week later I called requesting another update and told another week or two and that Jeremy would call me back. No call back. Called again a week later and talked to a woman sales rep that said she had to get with the buyer because the info she was seeing isn't what Jeremy told her and that she would call me back. Not sure what that meant. Another no call. We will more than likely go in for a refund which is too bad cause we really liked what we bought. Ashley is more into making the sale than keeping and retaining costumers.

I recently purchased a mattress from the store on SW side of Cedar Rapids. I thought the mattress was nice in the store and bought it for $650 thinking it would last me at least 5 years. As soon as i set it up and started sleeping on it, it makes this god aweful noise when i lay down. It didnt do that when i tried it out in the store. I called soon after and they cant do anything for me because i didnt buy a mattress protector? Seriously ive had it less than 2 weeks! I would of purchased online if i knew that. Most bed companies honor their workmanship and let you try it out for at least 3 months. Very unhappy!! UPDATE: *******I think the lady name is Lacy who called me and helped me find a different bed in their store. She was very kind and so was the lady who helped me find in store. Thank you so much for helping me out. I would recommend this store to anyone because they DO stand behind their furniture! Again thank you for helping me find a great bed and keeping me as a customer. THANK YOU. I am grateful.
I will never ever purchase from this company again! Not only did the delivery end up being a month and a half later than it was supposed to be, but the quality is horrible the couch broke almost immediately. It took them two months and me making numerous phone calls to customer care with no return calls and two trips into the store to finally get them to schedule someone to come look at it. It took another month and multiple additional phone calls to get them to schedule a pick up to get the couch repaired. 4 weeks after they took the couch we went back into the store because all our phone calls inquiring as to when we were to expect it done never got returned. It’s now been 5 months since it broke, and we finally got a delivery scheduled. Low and behold, delivery day came with no phone calls and no couch. Called, yet again, and got the “oh, let me transfer you to so and so” no one wanted to work on a solution, just keep passing us onto the next person. I have never ever seen worse customer service or lower quality furniture in my life. I will never recommend them to anyone.

We dealt with Jennifer the first time we ordered our family room furniture. Only issue it took a long time to get. The next order we dealt with Mark he told us a cabinet/server would be 2 to 3 weeks and it ended up being over a month. Then 2 days before they were set to deliver i got a call from the delivery people, that it didn't get loaded on the truck and the lady said not sure where it was at. My husband called the store in Cedar Rapids and was told it was at the warehouse in Cedar Falls. So not sure why it wasn't delivered when it was suppose to be. We drove to Cedar Falls and picked it up. Not once were we called like promised. Or told the truth about our purchase. Very disappointed in how we were treated after spending A LOT of money in your store. I also called and asked to speak to store manager and was told no manager on duty. Still waiting to hear from one. Days later. Sorry to say unsure if we will purchase from Ashley again. I referred friends they also were lied to about when they would receive their purchase. Just tell the truth if its going to be 8 weeks or more say that don't tell us what you think we want to hear.

If there was an option for negative stars I would give cedar rapids Ashley homestore a review of 2 negative stars. From day one my order has been a nightmare. The sales rep who placed my order had no idea what she was doing. I placed my order in July for my daughter's bed. It came in mid September missing parts. I called, told it was taken care of, two weeks later they redelivered the same bed. Parts obviously missing, I called again. After getting bounces around was told half the parts could get ordered from the store but the other half would have to get ordered from customer care. At this point no one, other then the delivery guys, had offered any type of apologies or showed any empathy. I called a third time, bounced around again, and told by customer care that I had to call back with a model number because their system doesn't have that information. So, once again had to call back to provide information. It is now the end of October, I am still missing parts for my daughter's bed, have been told "sorry" but still no known timeframe for as to when my daughter will be able to use her bed. Its been close to two months now. And hands down, this has been the WORST experience I have ever had with any company.
I purchased a bedroom furniture set in September that included a king sized bed frame, two bedside stands and a dresser. I also paid for the delivery to our house and to have it assembled. The bed frame was damaged so we set up an exchange for the following weekend. The bed frame was sent to us again but this time it was incomplete and even more damaged than the first one. We refused the delivery and had them take it back. We called the store immediately to set up an exchange and requested that the bed frame be sent to us packaged up and assembled in the home. They couldn’t set that up due to our “ticket being locked” for the weekend of delivery. They asked us to call back Monday and see what they could do. First of all, I don’t think it should be on me to call back to figure out what progress you’ve made. I called anyway that week to set up a new time to deliver the exchange and they told me they hadn’t made any progress and the email they sent to their warehouse was unanswered. They told me someone would call me back the next Monday to let me know what was going on. Of course, NOBODY called me back so I had to call them AGAIN! They were still unable to help me and said they were sending a message to someone higher up in the warehouse. I finally asked to speak with a manager. They told me their manager left 20 minutes ago and there wouldn’t be another one back until the morning. I spent a lot of money on this furniture that is still not correct. Very disappointed in the service. $2400 on this set and I’m really wishing I would have gone somewhere else. Nobody has been rude to me on the phone. They just don’t know anything about what’s going on with my order.

We were at Ashley Furniture 10/3/20 and will never be back! Jeremy was rude and did not create a pleasant experience for us. You have a sign on your door masks are required, yet he and another associate behind the counter did not have masks on. 3 other associates in the store wore their mask below their nose. You can’t expect people to follow your rules if you can’t follow them yourself. Worst retail experience ever.
I went to the Ashley Furniture Home store in Cedar Rapids, IA looking to purchase some livingroom furniture and a bed, was in the store for 45 minutes, not one sales person approached me. I just purchased furniture frome this store last year and had way better experience. I don't know what happened to those sales people but they need to bring them back going to buy my furniture else where!

Wow what a great experience! Duane was the person who helped us, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt like he helped me find a mattress that would work best for my arthritic back and also a cooling mattress. He really listened to what I needed. The Bed and mattress cover are super comfortable and very cooling. Delivery was fast and the guys were so efficient and on time! I have never purchased from Ashley before but my parents have a fabulous set of beds in their guest room. Since I just relocated to Cedar Rapids, I had to see if they had a bed that would help me with my specific issues! I got a great price for the fabulous product I received. I’m so impressed! EDIT- more good news! I am so happy with my mattress and cover that I went back and got a cooling pillow! AND last week I brought my aging mom in as she is in great need of a new mattress and WOW she found one that will be perfect for her. Duane so knowledgeable and does such a great job of listening to the needs of the customer. Also noteworthy- I first was impressed by Ashley as the guest room at my parents have mattresses and box spring purchased at Ashley several years ago and I love them! Thanks Ashley! I love the quality and classic styles Ashley Furniture has. I can always find a great deal on furniture that will remain current and stylish for years and years. Customer service is outstanding in the Cedar Rapids store, especially in the bedding department, where the gentleman helped me find the right bed and adjustable base to fit my needs and budget, without overselling me.
Very disappointed in Ashely today. Been a long time customer and went in today to buy a bed for our son. They sent me to the mattress section and said someone would be right with me. After waiting several minutes, I decided to browse the store. I found what I was looking for so I went to the customer service desk and no one was there to help. Instead the sales reps were talking amongst each other and the one guy was on his phone so I walked out. Very disappointed in the service today.
First off, Ahley Furniture has a lot of in-store inventory compared to other local competitors and great prices! We spoke with Jen Stevens a few months ago. The store was closed temporarily due to the pandemic. Just went back and she remembered us, that was impressive! When I'd asked what specials were going on, she told us she will take good care of us and indeed she did! We bought a lot of furniture for our new place from her. She really knows her inventory and was very knowledgeable. Jen was very efficient in placing our order so we didn't have to wait very long. We would highly recommend both Ashley Furniture and Jen!! Thanks again for a great shopping experience!!

Paid for in February it's now April no sign of furniture or answer from Mark the salesman.
I bought a two piece sectional on February 22nd and was informed it would be delivered the week of March 9th which was perfect because that was the week we were moving. So, we got rid of our old couch so we could be ready for our new one to arrive. I was told I would get a call that week to set up a delivery time. No one ever called me. I called the store and was told there was a delay but no one could give me a real estimate on the delay, or why. I have called numerous times trying to get answers about where my couch is but continuously get told they’re unsure why it’s taking so long. For spending hundreds of dollars on furniture, you’d think someone would try to be helpful or even trying to keep me as a customer. But apparently once they have your money that is good enough for them. It’s now April 4th and we still don’t have a couch. Will never be doing business here again.

We purchased a leather sofa and two recliners that matched the sofa. We purchased the sofa because it was constructed in such a way it could be broken down into two pieces, which was supposed to be done before the delivermen tried to maneuver it into our lower level family room, they refused to take it apart, even though it was specified on the delivery ticket. They then proceeded to force it through the narrow entry and when tipping it from its end, put a big scuff mark on the overhead of the stairway. After about 24 hours we noticed the seat cushion in all three pieces totally inadequate and saggy. I called and spoke with the manager, who sent some guy out with a couple pieces of foam to shore up the seat cushions. The dye on the leather rubbed off in big spots after about six months. In other words the quality and service were not anywhere near commiserate with the purchase price. Will never purchase from Ashley again.

Ashley had very high quality furniture. Excellent. To bad it's tasking us so long to get our love seat recliner. We were told it would take two weeks to get the recliner we wanted. I have an invoice that states expected delivery on January 3rd 2020. No delivery or phone call. I called the store in Cedar Rapids and was told my furniture should be on the truck the 6th or the 13th. Nope did not happen. I did call a few days ago and my sales person stated that the furniture would be delivered on the 22nd of January. A full month and a day after I paid cash for it.. That is way too long.. 01.23.2020...Finally yesterday we received our reclining loveseat! We are very happy with it. The delivery guys called about 20 minutes before they got here right about noon. I purchased a lot of furniture at Ashley's in November during one of their sales events. I stopped in to furnish my lower level and some living room and foyer pieces as well. In all it totaled 24 pieces of furniture and accessory items. Jen B helped me throughout the whole process which involved several visits and measuring and photo taking to make sure all the furniture would work well in our new home. I had a lot of questions and she was very knowledgeable and helpful and NOT pushy:). The communication process was warm and friendly. When the order was finally placed she double checked all pricing to make sure we got the best pricing and the order was placed accurately. I really thought with so many items that there would be a mistake somewhere but it was carried out perfectly. After delivery we ended up returning an item that did not work and that was quite easy. She followed up with us in the end and it was a great experience.
Living in Cedar Rapids, we have always had the same Furniture Stores to chose from, I didn't even realize we had an Ashley Location here. Great environment from the moment I walked in, the Salesperson who greeted me was pleasant. My typical response would be "just looking" but I was more than obliged to mention I was looking for a Sectional and possibly a Mattress. With the size of the store, i needed time to take it all in. The selection is beyond what you see elsewhere, the staff was courteous, and helpful at best. I did find a few I liked, I will be making my trip back to the store to purchase a sectional with my wife. I never did get the chance to check out mattresses, as the furniture selection kept me busy for my short stay. I look forward to doing business with this location based off of this visit alone! Great First Impression!
I have had some negative customer service experiences in my life, but this company is by far the worst and deserves absolutely nobody's heard earned money. I spent one hour last night talking to seven different people all saying they could not help me simply order two seat cushions. Two of them even hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager, and sounded almost happy that they were not going to help me, even after explaining I had talked to many different people. They must have terrible leadership, or pay very low wages.. they just hire complete idiots. Would NOT recommend to my family or friends.
Customer Service and Loyalty are two things that Joe Harvey find to be super important. Give us great service and we are loyal for life. We cannot speak more highly of Mark Neuhaus! I have bought a mattress and couch from the Ashley Furniture over by Westdale in Cedar Rapids they had great service and the layout of the store was very helpful. The staff there know how to turn you to what you truly want. If a friend is looking for furniture I know that they only need to go to one place and they're done.

I needed to look at getting a new mattress. I walked in with my 2 Granddaughters and we were greeted by Mark Neuhaus and after he chatted with the girls and gave them chocolates, he asked what Grandma was shopping for. When I told him I was starting to do some looking at mattresses he was happy to show us a few of his favorites. He asked great questions to narrow down the craziness of mattress mania and that lead me to 3 really great options that would work for me and in my price range! He was great with the girls, didn't make me feel they were in the way, but included them in asking them questions also. It was super easy and painless to pick out my new bed set. Delivery and set up was a breeze and he has called to make sure I was happy with my choice and the set up. I will return to Ashley for my furniture needs because you don't get customer service, genuine customer service like Mark's anymore. From his greeting at the door, including my Granddaughters and his follow thru, he appreciates how hard a person works to save and afford a big purchase. He cares that we got it right!! I appreciate that and return because of it!

I recently visited Ashley Homestore on Williams Blvd S.W., Cedar Rapids IA, looking for sofas and a dinette set. The staff was friendly and helpful, greeted everyone with a smile, and a hello. Chele Worley, bless her heart, treated me like I was the only customer in the store. I told her what I wanted, she lead and I followed, then I lead and she followed, we sat on this sofa (too soft), that sofa (too hard), she smiled, made small talk as I sat and remarked "arms too high, arms too low", "back too high", "back too low". Then I found one just right, but the color was wrong; "don't worry", said Chele this comes in several colors, as she lead me to the big screen; we found the perfect color. Then we shopped for a dinette set, Chele and I (we were on first names bases by now), once again she lead and I followed, then I lead and she followed. I sat at a table, it was perfect, the chair was comfortable, the table was a perfect fit but...but the price was a bit out of my range. I frowned, Chele smiled and said "we honor online prices". Low and behold the online price fit my pocket book. Thank you Chele Worley for making my shopping experience so relaxing. The deliveries were on time, set up nicely, and the new furniture looks great in my condo. The sofas are Darcy, great for sitting and sleeping. The dinette set is Ralene with a butterfly leaf, 4 chairs and a bench. Plenty of room for my family, the bench is most popular.

I originally started looking for a couch back in February of this year. The price point was not where I wanted it to be but I never felt pressured into the sale. I returned today to work with Paul on getting the couch I wanted. The staff here is wonderful and definitely doesn't use a sales pitch to get you into anything outside of your comfort level. My wife and I came to the store to look for new furniture for our house and were able to find all of the perfect items we needed at a price that literally could not have been beat at any other store. The service we received was so excellent that we’ve since sent our family and friends for their furniture needs. We won’t shop anywhere else; Mike and the team at Ashley Furniture have ALL of our future business! Highly recommended!!!
Great product selection- so much so we came back to buy more for our house. However, we were there a very long time to get all pieces put together (paperwork)- 2 hours before paying. I went to a isolated location in the store and was venting my frustration on the phone with someone (no customers around) to which that was apparently overheard by an employee..and no I was not making a scene or overly loud. After that, word spread among employees I was frustrated and instead of asking me what could be done or how they could help (helping the lady who was putting our order together would have been a start- it was a large order and she was having a hard time with it..she was wonderful to work with otherwise) the employees decided to openly make snide comments about myself and my wife while were STILL in the store...we could clearly hear them, citing "I wish we could talk to them the way they talk to us!"- even though my frustration was not, at any point, directed at any employee. This continued while we went through the payment process with the woman who I I assume was the manager, continuing to go to employee to employee making rude comments while my wife and I are standing there, can clearly hear this, and are looking at spending thousands of dollars here. In my opinion, this is terrible professionalism and customer service. While frustrated I, at no time, directed my frustration at any employee and did not hinder any customers shopping experience. Having retail experience myself, the proper way to handle this would to be proactive and positive in addressing my frustration- certainly not making rude comments about myself or my wife while we are still in the store (at least wait until we leave if nothing else). Not sure we will be back and had it happen earlier in the payment process I am not sure we would have bothered completing the sale. Pretty disappointed.

The sales people are great in the store very nice and willing to help, but didnt give accurate information. I bought a couch and love seat on labour day weekend and was told the couch wasn't available but they would have 10 coming on Oct 2nd and had only sold 4 so there shouldn't be a problem to get mine. I recieved no contact from them so I call them on Oct 1st to make sure everything is still as planned. Come to find out they will not have my couch but now I have to wait till Oct 29th. Very frustrating! We'll see if it actually comes this time. Don't think I will be recommending this place to anyone any time soon. Update 10/22/19 Just received a call from the sales associate letting us know how sorry she is but now it will not be in till end of November! I'm so happy that we are hosting Thanksgiving and wont have enough furniture for our family to sit on. The more I deal with this place the worse they get.

Update - Was able to discuss this with a manager who responded to the situation in a helpful and acceptable manner. Updated stars from 1 to 3. Just spent ~$3000 and during the whole sales process was told "If you get it home and don't like it, you have 7 days"...The minute the sectional was delivered, the color did not look good in our living room, so we called and was told by our salesperson that he "has bigger problems in his life". If I could give less than one star, I would. If/when someone helps us resolve this issue satisfactorily, I'll update the review.

They do have great styles of furniture, however my sales person always rushed off to help one of their regular customers. I have tried it 2x and the same thing. IF I GO again I will ask for the newest sales person so I can be sure I am their priority.

This place is THE MOST unreliable furniture store I have EVER delt with!!! No one knows what is going on around there & you keep getting a different story from each person you deal with, telling us , "OHH NOOO! Thats wrong, they shouldnt have told you THAT!" No one seems to know when their truck will come in with the item you purchased! Definitely WILL NOT BE BUYING A THING HERE AGAIN!!! I guess I thought they had a good reputation. WOW, what an eye opener!
I purchased furniture in Cedar Rapids store and sales people were great. The buying experience was just fine. However, one of the pieces I bought was a power recliner chair (which i was told by salesman was top of the line). The power recliner hasn't worked since the day it was delivered. Today is nearly 2 months since the purchase date. The process to get this recliner fixed or replaced has been ridiculous. I will never buy from Ashley again due to the fact once you leave the sales room, all you are dealing with is customer service over the phone who could care less how many times you have to take off work to be at home for the 3 hour window period. Every phone call is a different story, and every week is a different story. Seriously, once you leave the sales room, nobody cares about the follow up experience. UPDATE: Below you ask me to provide order number. Who do I provide this to? I called customer service number again today, talked to 3 different people and nobody cares. Literally was told "this is not my department" "sorry for your experience" but there is no customer service action to get the problem fixed. I called the Cedar Rapids store and explained I can't get anyone to help, and was told "I have to transfer you to customer service, just ask for a manager if they don't help you."
Purchased a couch and a dining table on August 2nd with the promise both items would be delivered on August 13th. On August 13th only the couch was delivered and was told the table was on “back order” and wouldn’t be delivered until August 24th. Extremely unprofessional.

Great shopping experience, and was told my couch had to be special ordered and sent to the store. I was told multiple times in person and over the phone that it would take two weeks to be sent to the store and delivered. I called two weeks later and they said it would be another week. I move into my new place, and here I am a week later, no phone call from anyone notifying me of its arrival at the store (after the told me 3 times they would), and now I have to wait yet ANOTHER week for delivery. So disappointed and upset with how this was handled.
We recently purchased furniture and we had the greatest buying experience. Sales people were not pushy and let us browse and take our time with decisions. We ended up working with Mike R. He was super helpful and answered all of our questions. This was our first time buying new furniture and it was so laid back. We will for sure be back again. Mike was great and we will be coming to see him in the near future.
This is similar to most large furniture stores, we found everyone to be friendly and helpful, and did end up getting the majority of what we were after. We had to special-order to pieces that they had on the floor, but not available in their warehouse. It was slow, but did eventually get done. The actual gentleman who helped us was extremely friendly and helpful but made a couple of slightly racist comments which I was surprised by. We had almost finished with our transaction by the time he started up oh, so it was a little late to walk away. The place gets 5 stars as a furniture dealer but that particular salesman was a little shocking. Nice guy, but unacceptable to have or share those views.

Denise was really helpful in picking out all of our furniture! We had to furnish our whole house and had never been to a furniture store. She took the time to look at pictures of our house and helped us find furniture that matched our interior and fit well inside our house.
Do NOT shop here. They only care about their sales quota and nothing else!!! Will never go here again!
Very stylish furniture
I won't buy anything from here in the future. We purchased 3 pieces of furniture from here. The salesman told us about their protection plan (which I normally don't go in for), but the price he gave was quite low so I agreed. It wasn't until we got home that we noticed that he mislead us. We bought enough furniture that it was hard to notice the price difference, but the price he gave was either per year or something, because it was considerably more expensive than we thought. I guess we should have called, complained, and returned it, but we decided to keep it. Time has passed, and our couches have torn in multiple places, so I was relieved that I had bought the plan that covers tears. After submitting the claim, I come to find out that seam tears are not covered, only accidentally rips and cuts. You pay good money for this plan, and then you can't even use it due to a technicality. It's just frustrating to be mislead into buying a product that you can't even use, and have furniture that's falling apart after 2 years. Ultimately shame on me for trusting that there are businesses that have integrity.
We knew what we wanted when we came to the store. We were helped and had a good shopping experience. We ordered 4 pieces of furniture and asked to be called as soon as any of the pieces came in. We were told 2-4 weeks. I had to call after 4 weeks because I had not received a call. Two pieces were in and were available to be picked up, however no one called to let us know. Then we were told our chairs would be “a couple more weeks.” When we asked what that meant (another 2 weeks, 4 weeks?), we were just told “That’s just what I was told.” We were disappointed in the customer service after we already paid for our purchases.

Very poor customer service. Missing furniture from our delivery, called and was promised to receive a call back and it never happened. Also, while shopping at the store, associates constantly stalk and hound you around the store. Very pathetic service.
They have great furniture. Many options to choose from. Any type of bed or base, chairs or sofas etc. It is place to consider if you want to decorate or buy great furniture.
We are SO HAPPY with the customer service we just recieved from Denise. We had bought a bedroom set and one of the pieces was damaged. She made it so easy for us to get an exchange! Thank you so much Denise. We will only be working with her from now on.

Not open during posted hours. I already knew what I wanted thanks to online research... could have been a quick sale & commission for some salesperson at the end of the day for a minimum of effort. But no, you get to close fifteen minutes early on a Friday evening. Good thing you're the only furniture store in the Cedar Rapids metro area so I'll be forced to return at another time... oops, no, you're not. I guess just forget about that commission. Order # 32461814 Purchase Date 11/04/2018 I purchased a couch from Ashley Homestore in Cedar Rapids IA and paid $2359.77 CASH for a sectional (including tax and warranty). I will say that everyone that I spoke to at the actual store was very friendly but unfortunately my situation was out of their hands. Due to character limitations, here's a shortened version of my story: 5 out of the 6 pieces to my sectional were delivered damaged including a recliner that didn’t function at all. During delivery, damage was done to my home. There are black scratches on the doors as well as scrapes deep enough they went past the primer on the door and you can see the steel material and physically feel the scrapes. There is also a small dent on the door. I went into the store to speak to a manager regarding the damaged furniture and damage to my home. They had me all customer care. Customer care offered to replace the damaged furniture and refund $100. I had to speak to someone else regarding the damages done by the delivery men. I got into contact with the correct person and customer care forwarded over pictures of all the damage done. A man named David called to tell me that they were not going to fix the door because the pictures were not consistent with how their men deliver furniture. I convinced him to come my house and investigate the damage himself. David showed up the next day and talked himself in circles trying to make up reasons why it was impossible his men did any damage whatsoever. He blamed all the scuffs, missing fabric, loose threads, and stretched out pieces of fabric on the factory. He said the damages were done there and they attempted to fix it and cover it up before his men ever had possession. David did tell me his men admitted to moving some furniture in with the frame FACING THE DOOR (even though he had said previously they do not do that) but still denied it was possible they caused any damage in doing so. Everything this man said was completely focused on getting out of taking care of any damage done to the home or furniture. I'm not sure who David works for, but he was very poorly representing the company. When he first arrived and started looking at the damages to the furniture he stated, “It’s overpriced for the quality it actually is. I personally, if I were a sales person, I would never recommend this to anyone. It looks pretty, it’s nice, it’s reclining and stuff, but just as far as the quality of the material, it does not hold up very well. That’s pretty typical with these things.” Before leaving he also told me that he “wasted 4 hours of this day to come here today.” Why would anyone in their right mind buy any product from a company when people who are associated with the company are admitting the products are overpriced? Why would anyone buy furniture from a company that tries to cover up damages done instead of being honest? I paid over $2300 cash total and this is how I’m treated? This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had purchasing any product. I was told they will do NOTHING regarding the damages done to the home. I was offered a $100 discount after a man in customer care spoke to his manager of how they could make this right. How insulting. After this awful experience I have to pay for damages done by the movers Ashley Furniture hires. I have set up a refund and I am looking forward to getting this furniture out of my house and never having to deal with this company again. If anyone has any doubts about what was said or done, I do have a recording of my encounter with David at my house. I quoted his EXACT words from that recording. I also have endless amounts of pictures of all the damage on the couch and to the door. I am happy to share these with anyone. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy.

We bought our living room furniture here as they were the only store that had the items we wanted in our area. They have a nice, broad selection of home furnishings in a variety of price ranges. I did not like the over zealous sales people. I know they are commissioned, but it is a turnoff for me to be followed throughout the entire store.
They always offer discounts on their website but the discounts never work on the furniture I want so I don't buy it, why offer a discount if you can't use it

Purchased dining room set a couple of years ago. A couple of my chairs broke and I was to referred to Guardian who covered the warranty that I purchased. I got no where with them playing phone tag. So I went to the store and talked to Chele, who originally sold us the set. Between her and the manager Duane, they took excellent care of me and rectified the problem. They stood behind me and followed through with their promise of my warranty. I now have new cushions ordered for free and also including delivery and installation for free. It's great to know there are still great people and stores that treat their customers with respect and hold true to their promises. Thank you again Chele and Duane!
Thinking we were at a higher end furniture store we spent hard earned money only to recieve consignment quality junk...cushion on our chase lounge was worn and wrinkled and our coffee talbe scuffed and damaged. After contacting customer service they sent a replacement cover that is in worse shape than the original one. The back cushions are showing wear and overall quality is just plain lousy. Would have been better off at Bills Brothers. Still waiting on replacement pieces!! WE WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY WITH THIS OUTFIT!! But pretty sure they could care less...they already have our money!! Not happy in CR....😠😡 I wish I could attach photos to show the low quality!!
I would never visit this store again. I went in there on Saturday evening with my wife. Normally when you walk in, you are almost immediately greeted and approached by sales people or at least that's how it is supposed to be. But not at this location. I probably passed 4-5 sales people in my 10 minute tour inside this store and not a single person had even courtesy to say hello!! It's not like they were helping someone else at the time but they just past us as if we didn't exist. No smile on the face when I had a beief eye contact with most of them as if they were trying avoid talking. This is the most strangest experience I ever had at any furniture place. I saw few men dressed formally behind the Ashley logoed customer service desk and none were busy with anything but they just watched us leaving the store without trying to ask anything. If you guys want to drive yourself out of business soon, you have got the perfect setup for it. I travelled 25 miles to specially come to your store looking for entire house worth of furniture and now you lost me as a customer for ever.
People here are super friendly. It is a little expensive though.

I had a not so good experience with buying from Ashley. The first set I bought, the couch leaned on one side. Exchanged it because you can’t get a refund. Picked another set out and now this has to be fixed also. Not the quality of furniture that you would expect. I will not buy Ashley furniture again. I will give some positive , the salespeople were very nice and has tried to help as much as they are able to. Just not the best furniture:(

Don’t shop here!!!!!! Rude service. Ordered furniture 6 weeks ago and still haven’t seen it. Never a store manager to take to. Every time I call they have one piece in then two then none don’t understand. Then I get the call “back later in the week and see if it’s here.” Asked for free shipping because of the long wait once it arrived to the store and for some reason they had to send it to another warehouse for shipment to our house. Still waiting for my furniture and can’t see a reason for anyone else to spend there hard earned money at this store.

Considering I went into Ashey's dirty from gardening Chele treated us like a valued customer. She asked us a few questions about what we wanted and made the whole experience fun and painless. We are still in the process of remodeling and there was no problem with setting up a farther out delivery.

Would give a zero if I could! Ordered my furniture 3 months ago and still do not have the set I need. First it was backordered, then when it finally came it was damaged. They called 3 times to schedule deliveries and each they canceled last minute saying they couldn't get the products in stock after I had taken off work each time!!! Finally this week I had called to talk to management. One lady didn't help at all. Duane the store manager said he had it worked out to come tomorrow, and I just got the call that they won't be here once again!!! I will never get furniture through this company or recommend anyone to use them! Their loss, I have a whole new house to fill!
Our salesman Paul did a fantastic job helping us. He worked hard to be competitive on pricing. He told us it would be 2-4 weeks for the delivery due to the time of year. And it will be just over 3 weeks for everything but the recliner which is still back ordered and could be another 2 weeks. That is disappointing. As far as the quality of the furniture, time will tell.
Ordered furniture, but everytime delivery date was coming up, it was always another 2 weeks. after almost 2 months of waiting, i just decided to cancel my order.
Had a great purchase experience of 4 rooms of furniture with Duane. I had back orders multiple deliveries but did not complain. The one table has not held up been replaced twice over 1 year 2 months. I know Duane sold the extended warranty to me for this great service. The store won't return money just store credit. The rep for the company said he makes the decisions for the owner and that is what the FRANCHISE owner wants. The four times I have to leave work or rearrange my schedule due to product failure inspections and delivery mean nothing. I worked retail 25 years and thank goodness my companies don't treat people this way. Its ok I talk to 150 people a day so when the subject comes up about customer service I have a great story for my friends and customers. If you don't have anything I like in good faith return the money.
I've been here a couple times. I have to say that this is the lowest pressure furniture store in the area. The sales staff there will help *when requested* We ended up getting a set that was in the clearance section that was very affordable. I will continue to go here in the future if and when I need furniture. The store layout is also very nice. Very easy to get around the place.
I will never shop with them again. I bought a living room set a few years ago they gave me a date it would come in didn't get it till a month later. Then again last month same thing happened. I bought a dinning room table and chairs. Told me would come in in 2 weeks didn't get it till 1 month later. I would call every day. They would tell me a different day everyday. Not even an apology or free delivery. Seems they just try to sell and not care about the customer very unprofessional too
I purchased furniture from this store with the additional insurance. We got a tear so were thankful we bought the insurance, or so we thought. The insurance policy is a joke. We called our salesman and he said he would get to the bottom of it and make it right. 4 reminder calls later and we still haven't heard back from him. Seriously annoyed
Poor customer service. I will never shop here again. When I ordered my furniture, they said 2-3 weeks we could pick it up... 7 weeks later and it still hasn't even shipped to the store. Never offered a discount or apologized. Finally I demanded free delivery when it has shipped. The sales person I have been working with has been vague and unsympathetic. I am not normally one to complain, but this is very frustrating.
The sales staff (Renee and Duane) were extremely knowledgeable about their product and inventory on hand. They listened to our needs and answered our questions graciously. We purchased a new bedroom set and mattress. All of their help made the transaction go so smoothly. Their variety and quality of inventory on hand far exceeds any other furniture in the Cedar Rapids/Marion metro area.
Bought a couch and an ottoman from this place and could not be happier with the service that was provided. Michelle is a great customer service representative - she definitely deserves a promotion.

Being in customer service myself, I understand mistakes happen. I place as much value in how those are resolved as I do a "perfect shopping experience." I had a defective piece of a sectional delivered. I blame the contracted delivery company for leaving a piece that was knowingly and admittedly broken. When I contacted customer service and asked for a different set all together I was invited to go to the store, pick out what I wanted and they would work with me on any price difference. Within a few days the old, broken set was replaced with something new. I was also given a worthwhile store credit for my inconvenience and I love my new set. It couldn't have worked out much better.
Mark N. is very knowledgeable about the products at the store. He took his time with us as we looked for new living room furniture. He answered all of our questions and showed us everything we were looking for. We have bought decor, kitchen chairs and now living room furniture from him and we are always pleased with his outstanding customer service!
Renee was wonderful. She provided us with a great balance of support but didn't hover. In fact, when we needed to talk as a family she instinctly knew to give us some space.

I went in not knowing for sure the type of chair I wanted but at the same time had an idea. The very nice saleslady worked with me as we walked around the store to get ideas and price range and each time the sales lady was able to determine where to take me next as we got closer to my idea of a nice chair. Then I saw my chair. I really liked it and it was in my price range. Everyone was very nice friendly and professional. No hype no pressure just good old-fashioned salesmanship. I totally would recommend this furniture store to my friends and family.
Renee helped my wife & I find some furniture for my office. Friendly and helpful, but not smothering which is why I don't enjoy shopping in retail stores. Attentive and helpful when needed, but not checking in every 2 seconds. Gave us space to explore and try out and discuss before our purchase. Which we did the next day over the phone.
We wanted to replace our leather couch and love seat with ones that had recliners. Renee was very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. We had looked at another place that did not have anything we liked, and were higher priced. We bought a few more things than we originally had planned to.
I recently purchased a Living Room set at the Ashley Furniture Store at Williams Blvd., Cedar Rapids, IA. Denise Ogden assisted and she was excellent. Okay so if you have and Ashley Card you can use it online. But if you have a Furniture Outlet Card you can only use it in store and most times, it takes 3 weeks to get the same thing online in 2- 3 days....only thing I don't like or you can't return your online order in store either, being it's a Furniture Outlet Store. But a very nice lady makes it all worth coming to the store for, so after you understand these facts you should be better off. I'll be back often.
Great buying experience. Salesperson (Jesse) was pleasant and knowledgeable, others in the store were helpful. Delivery was as promised and the delivery crew was terrific. And we love our new chairs.

They were very helpful when picking out my bed and couch! When my furniture was delivered they were fast and courteous. Not to mention I thought I was going to have to wait 3 weeks for my couch but it came about a week after I ordered it along with my new bed!
I purchased a bed, nightstand and mattress/boxspring from Denise. She was extremely helpful and took the time to show me multiple options. She was very patient as I tried to decide exactly what I wanted. I ended up calling back and had her add a dresser to the order. I would highly recommend and will be going back!

It took me almost 2 months to get a bed frame and mattress I ordered, which pissed me off pretty royally, but the delivery guys were very nice and did a great job setting my stuff up when it FINALLY came. I do like the furniture itself. I would recommend it if you want to wait forever for it. I previously rated 1 star due to terrible communication and inaccurate information, but the delivery guys saved your asses. Buy them a nice lunch.
I decided to shop here despite the negative reviews. I should have known better. I ordered furniture in February and had it delivered 2 weeks ago except for 1 piece. They brought the wrong piece to my house knowing it was incorrect and I have yet to receive the correct piece. After calling customer service and leaving messages for the store manager, the salesman finally called today to offer me a $50 refund. I spent over $1400 here and I paid $260 for the missing piece. The piece referred to is supposed to come in now by the week of April 11th. I really like Ashley brand furniture, but the Furniture Mart/Ashley Homestore chain is for the birds. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. I'll probably be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Buyer beware!

Took a month to get my furniture
Mark Neuhaus was very helpful. We were looking for a headboard. I had been on the Ashley website and thought I remembered the name of a style I liked. I remembered wrongly. He helped us find the right style and color. He also provided excellent pricing so that we ended up with matching night stands, dresser, and chest of drawers.
I've bought with a Ashley twice now. My first purchase was end tables and a bed frame for my son. Both are beautiful, couldn't be happier Two years later, we recently purchased a sofa and love seat. A week after we purchased it, it was ready for pick up! Our sales men Jordan and Mike were absolutely fantastic!

Went into Ashley HomeStore just simply browsing for furniture in hopes to get an understanding on what would be needed for a new apartment. After speaking with Mark Neuhaus, we were able to decide on a fantastic bedroom set, and with Mark's help, we were able to quickly get through all the paperwork. Would definitely recommend not only Ashley HomeStore, but also the help of Mark Neuhaus to any of my friends.

I worked with Jennifer last year on our bedroom furniture and this year on our living room furniture and she was absolutely amazing and completely helpful! Last year she went as far as delivering our nightstands herself! This year when we came in the store we went straight to her and once again she out performed herself! She was very helpful through our selection process and made sure we got the best deal available! We came in with an idea of what we wanted our furniture to be and she manifested that! I visited this store 1/28/17 to make my purchases, but on 1/26/17 I stopped in to look at sectionals, kitchen table and chairs, and bedroom sets. I was greeted by Denise on 1/26/17, she took her time showing me everything I wanted to look at even though she knew I was not potentially not buying anything that evening. She was very helpful and that made me go back on the 28th. I ended up purchasing bedroom dresser and end tables as well as kitchen table and chairs. I would recommend anyone to go to Ashley Furniture and ask for her!

The experience we had at Ashley Furniture working with Denise was second to none. She went above and beyond our expectations and was absolutely a pleasure to work with. We had a service man come out to our home today to troubleshoot our electronic control recliner chair which failed occasionally. What he found is the wire straps are so tight that when it is reclined past the halfway point it has the tendency to partially disconnect the plug near the motor. He corrected the problem in a few minutes and we appreciate this. Thank You

Jennifer Stevens was an excellent help to me tonight! I have been through the ringer looking for your Ilena oversized chair, ottoman, and loveseat. I found a store in Des Moines, IA that said they could order the chair and ottoman but not the loveseat which is why I called into your store. Upon talking with Jennifer she showed me that this DSM store sku's online didn't match the correct ones on your website and in fact the product they would special order for me wasn't even what was in the picture!! I would have been SO angry had I have spent all that money just to find out they ordered the wrong furniture and couldn't actually get me what I wanted. In the end, I am sorry to say I won't be buying the Ilena set from your store solely due to price. I would have loved to do business with Jennifer had the price not been such a huge obstacle. I can get a very similar product of yours (Ashley Blackwood) from Homemakers all 3 pieces cheaper than the Ilena sofa alone. I would definitely recommend Jennifer to anyone needing assistance!
This was our first time purchasing from Ashley Furniture. We had a great experience with Chele Worley at Ashley Furniture! She is very knowledgeable, patient and extremely helpful with decor matching ideas. Chele has a great personality, she isn't high pressure and doesn't hover over you the entire time. She gives you space to look around and is available to help when needed. Chele made our shopping experience FUN! We will definitely recommend Chele to all our friends!
Our experience with the store was ok, it's the quality of the furniture that sucks. We have had our couch, chair and ottoman for 4 months and it's already showings signs of breaking down. The cushions are lumpy and losing proper shape. We got the furniture on sale for $1400, and I say it's not even worth half that. Buyer beware.
We had Jen Stevens as our sales clerk. What a wonderful experience! She was so helpful. She answered all of our questions and was so knowledgeable about the products. We were looking at a leather sectional. She really helped us take a look to figure out if it would fit. We finally decided it wasn't going to fit well in our space. She knew the features we were looking for and was able to go immediately to 3 different couches that we liked. She did not show us anything that we would have rejected. I appreciated how she valued our time and our design opinions. She was very willing to help with any request. My husband was in engineering and wanted to measure everything. She was right there holding tape measures to help us see if the furniture would fit. She answered all of our questions. We finally decided on a couch and love seat that will be perfect. When we asked about side tables, she showed us ones that were the within the space and design we were trying to capture. She knew exactly where everything in the store was. When I asked about something she could take us directly to the item. We also bought 2 end tables that will be perfect. Jen exceeded our expectations as a sales clerk. You could tell she was genuinely wanting to help us find what would work for us. ALL of her suggestions were items that would work for us. So, she was personable, knowledgeable, design savvy, prompt, ....I could go on and on. When we come back to look/purchase other furniture, we will definitely ask for Jen. I would give her an A++++++.
Big mistake, my dad spent over $20000 with them, bought an extended warranty, called for a help on a chair that it had a broken screw they told him it will take a month to get someone over to take a look at it, horrible customer service, stay away!
Our salesperson was very knowledgable, polite and patient. Although we came back several times to be sure about the bedroom set we were looking at, she never made us feel ill at ease or pressured. We were very happy with the price and service.

We bought a couch and a love seat from Ashley furniture and had it delivered! We worked with Denise, and she was very helpful. We told her what we're were looking for and she was able to make recommendations and asked us questions to ensure we were getting exactly what we were looking for. She helped us take measurements to ensure the items we were looking at fit in our home. She was able to help set up the delivery, and the entire process was wonderful! Ashley furniture has great selection and we loved our experience with the staff there. They give you the time and space to peruse, then work with you as you make your selections. We specifically worked with Denise who was extra patient while we worked to furnish our new home. We've visited several furniture stores and this specific store is our favorite.
This was our first time shopping at Ashley Furniture store. I have to say it was such a great experience. Great selections and great quality, great prices and we had very fast delivery. Needless to say my husband and I were very impressed. Just another perk was our salesman Mike Richart was absolutely the best, very professional and knowledgeable. I should have read the reviews before going there. I haven't been treated so poorly in my life. I'm not demanding and don't expect much, but I just asked a question and the sales rep gave me the stink eye without answering me, I had to look at myself whether I was inappropriately dressed or stinky. I went up front to ask the same question and report the service I got from the lady at the back, I can assure you they were worse off. Horrible people , it's better to close down the store, they never used to be like this. HORRIBLE! !

I am not one to ever complain about a business, I completely understand mistakes happen, but after 5 different defective sets of furniture from Ashley Home Furniture, absolutely horrible customer service, endless lies, waiting for calls from the company, etc. I would give them a negative star rating if I could. We purchased a sectional, chair & ottoman in March. The sectional didn't fit together & they suggested we buy shims to prop it up 4 inches on 1 side, after they told us it was our fault and our floor was uneven. We brought out different levels to prove it wasn't our floor with the issue. There was also a rip in the leather ottoman which they colored in with a sharpie marker to 'fix.' A few weeks later they deliver a new sectional...same problem. The store wouldn't take any responsibility and told us to call corporate customer service, who blamed the manufacturer of the sectional. After the 3rd defective sectional was delivered, we decided to choose an entire new sofa, love seat & coffee table. The sofa & love seat arrived with holes in them. The legs were so uneven on the sofa it felt like we were sitting on a teeter-totter. The delivery guy suggested we remove the legs it was so bad. As we were promised numerous phone calls back, we never received them. In fact one customer service rep told us we weren't benefiting Ashley by returning the defective products. Meanwhile we have wasted 5 Saturday's sitting around waiting for deliveries. Today, over 4 months since our original purchase, they were going to bring us our 5th set of furniture between 3-6pm. By 6:00pm we hadn't heard anything, so we called the store manager to inform him how dissatisfied we were, he said there was simply nothing he could do. We were offered $35 per piece of furniture for our inconvenience from customer service. That is not a typo, that is $35.00! We informed him we were simply done, we would be returning the defective merchandise & would like a refund. He said it would be fine for us to just leave the furniture outside our house and the delivery guys would pick it up. He told us we could not come into the store to get a refund because even though he was the store manager, he was not authorized to do that. I would NEVER EVER recommend purchasing a single thing from them! EVER. I would run in the exact opposite direction of this store. No deal is worth the poor quality or the horrible customer service.
Their selection is actually pretty good. Unfortunately their sales staff was the reason we didn't end up buying there. I don't want to dive into too much detail but the biggest thing that turned me off was when I asked about the poor Google reviews the first response I got was well sometimes those are bad customers. Then they said people usually only leave bad reviews and not good ones. If there is something you want from this store I'm not saying don't buy it from them but I'd be cautious. Just read the reviews.
I have purchased several items from Ashley Furniture. The last set of furniture I purchased was a leather sectional. Within a couple of days we started hearing springs pop. We contacted Ashley and they sent out a furniture tech (which he was really nice why they get 2 stars). The NEW furniture we where suppose to receive has actually refurbished. Since it was broken they agreed to swap out...Great right? To this day we have been waiting around 2 months for this replacement. I was suppose to receive delivery yesterday. The 3rd party delivery company called and told me "our truck is broke down". Why the largest furniture retailer in the USA doesn't have there own delivery service blows my mind. I took a full day off of work to receive my furniture between 11-2. Again as of this minute I still have springs popping in my "new" refurbished furniture and a new delivery date of next week. I asked the delivery company in these situations why wouldn't you rent a U-Haul or Penske truck to satisfy the customers needs... Cost to much was the answer. I will be taking my business back to Slumberland and my locally owned business that care about customer satisfaction.

WORST ASHELY FURNITURE STORE IN AMERICA. The sales representatives are con-artist ( they are worst then used car salesmen). Although they are very nice when you first meet them simply because they want your money, but once you've made that purchase they become DEVILS in disguise. They will tell you that you'll receive your items in 2 to 3 weeks but in more like 6 to 12 weeks if your lucky. If something is wrong with your furniture, good luck with getting a replacement and don't hold your breath for a refund. If you call more than once inquiring on a date of when you'll get your furniture, the sales representatives will duck and dive you but if your lucky to get your rep on the phone, don't worry he/she will tell you want you want to here and end the conversation with I'll call you Monday ( and please don't wait by the phone for that call because it isn't coming). The HR. personel whom I believe is the supervisor over the sales representatives is even worst, she is very rude, dismissive and condescending right from the start. She is the personel who processes refunds if you are one of the lucky few who will receive one. A PEICE OF ADVICE..... If you do decide to purchase furniture from the ashely furniture store ( not that you would ) in cedar rapids on the sw side, INSPECT YOUR FURNITURE AS IF IT IS A STRANGER KNOCKING AT YOUR DOOR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, upon delivery because if you accept the furniture then look it over and want a replacement or refund, you will get referred to the customer service call center and will have to look up the number ( apparently they don't know it right off hand and are to busy to look it up for you ). So if something is wrong with your furniture upon placing in your home, REFUSE THE HE'LL OUT OF IT, REFUSE, REFUSE REFUSE IT. GOOD LUCK cause you'll need it !!!!

Initially we were very impressed with the selection of furniture this store had to offer and the customer service was pretty good. We selected a media center and the sales person (Mike) worked with us to reach to an agreeable price. We purchased the item that day and were told we could come back in four days later to pick it up. At this point in time we were completely satisfied. The day we picked it up we then found out that the piece of furniture was not put together... I was frustrated at this point but still took and home and planned to put it together myself. I was never given the option to have the piece put together for an extra fee. I opened the box and there were multiple damaged pieces. I then called the store back and Mike said they would come pick up the damaged goods and deliver a new one that was put together before the Thanksgiving holiday. I had to call back the Tuesday before Thanksgiving because I had not heard from anyone. During this call I was told that the piece of furniture was still in transit and it would be at least another week before delivery. At this point I informed the store I no longer wanted to do business and wanted my money refunded. The damaged furniture was finally picked up over two weeks later and I am still waiting for my money back. Please do not do business with this company. They do not put their customers first and do not care to provide quality service. The ball was dropped many times and I will never step foot through their doors again.
I ordered 2 new items and had no issues what so ever. The items showed up before they estimated arrival date. Staff was very friendly.
Nothing but awful things to say. Ordered furniture and was assured it would only be 2-3 weeks until it arrived. When we called(yes we've never even been contacted by the store) at 4 weeks they had no idea where our furniture was, said it would probably be another 2, thats over 6 weeks when we were promised 2-3. Every employee I talk to just blames it on their "move" but yet does nothing to help us out. Customer Service has been absolutely terrible. I would not give this business your time or your money.
I came to Ashley Furniture because my mother wanted to buy a new couch. Our first trip to the store we were impressed with the huge variety they had to offer. We took our time looking at all the couches and walked though out the whole store in about 20 mins. During that 20 mins no one came up to us to try and help us even though we were one of the 3 cars parked outside. I noticed they had amazing sales on bedsteads, I have been wanting to buy one for awhile now. I saw one I liked and told my mom we'll have to come back which we did. Our second trip to the store we walked around the store for half an hour just trying to find someone to help us. Finally we found a saleslady. We ended up ordering the bedstead on Feb 20th, it took her 45 mins to file the paper work. 45 mins!! Finally the saleslady handed us our paper work and told us the bed would arrive in 3 weeks. 3 weeks came, 3 weeks went. At 4 weeks I called the store to ask what was going on the lady assured me it would be here within the next week. At 6 weeks I called again and they said it'd be in on that Friday. I finally got the call. I arranged to pick it up the soonest I could. At this point I'm thinking, Yes! It's finally done and I can enjoy my new bed. But, sure enough I get home and GUESS WHAT!? The side rails and bed posts aren't even the ones that go on my bed!? I ordered a wooden bedstead and half of the pieces are fake marble. What the hell!? Ever since the beginning my experience with Ashley Furniture has been atrocious. Save your time and money and go to a much better furniture store!!
