Ashley Store Wichita, KS

Why do furniture stores insist on following you around like you're going to walk off with a couch? I asked to be left alone to look around because having someone following me makes me anxious. Instead, I was followed around by someone who was about 50 feet behind me and every time I sat down on a couch, they pounced. As a female, being followed by someone in a store makes me nervous. I've had this happen to me at other stores before. This is why I ask to be left alone. I am perfectly capable of finding someone if I need help. Instead, I spent 10 minutes in the store, when I might have spent 30 looking more closely at a couple of couches I found somewhat comfortable. If someone says they would like to shop alone, please respect their decision! Otherwise, the store has a good variety of designs and is nicely set up.

Consumers beware, we bought a Tempur pedic mattress from Ashley and received the frame as a “free gift.” Our mattress started to shift and Ashley referred us to complete the warranty through Tempur Pedic. The warranty claim was denied due to the width of the slats not meeting the requirements. These were purchased as a package from Ashley. When we reached out to Ashley, they said they would work with Tempur pedic. Then two weeks later I received a message from Ashley that there were stains on the mattress and that’s why it was denied. They sent me altered photos of our mattress with the mattress protector on. I sent copies of the original photos stating this was fraudulently altered and they said to reach out to Tempur Pedic. It was escalated to Tempur Pedic and they said it was denied because of the slats and to reach out to Ashley furniture. Neither company wants to take accountability for this. I definitely don’t want anyone else to have to go through this horrible experience! It is sad that we were going to spend more money there and now they’ve lost way more business because of their dishonesty.

We had a fantastic time picking out living room furniture and a speciality mattress on 11/2/24!! Ella and Barry were so much fun to work with! We moved into a new home last year. I started out buying furniture from a much more expensive store in the area because I wanted quality pieces that will last. I found that the quality for the price was not what I was expecting. So I decided to try Ashley again. I have now purchased 3 bedroom sets from Ashley and have been impressed at how much easier the delivery and warranty services are to work with. I will be continuing to shop at Ashley as I upgrade rooms.

These guys are irrationally patient and great salespeople. They spent four hours across two days helping me decide what to get and it wasn't even that big of a sale. If you're lucky enough to get to work with Ella you'll have a great experience. Buying process was super smooth, delivery was super smooth, and the furniture really do be furniture.

Great experience shopping at the Ashley West Wichita location today. Caden helped us both ( mom and I) with powered home theater recliner’s and he did a great job. We have a weirdly shaped house and have furniture upstairs, on the mainfloor and in the basement. Sometimes logistics of how to get pieces into place have been tricky, but the movers have all come up with quick ideas to get pieces moved into place with no damage to the home or furniture. Would recommend Ashley everytime.

Always super friendly and helpful, Caden helped us get a new mattress for our daughter and made the entire experience very enjoyable. He was knowledgeable about the products and even showed us a couple mattresses for when we are ready to upgrade ours.

Caden was an awesome young man of 19 years old who helped us order our custom sectional. Even though they didn’t have any pieces of that model on display, he was able to show us better pictures of the upholstery. This helped us make our decision. He was so genuine and polite, even when we went past closing time. Caden is an asset to the Ashley West team. The manager even came to check that we were ok. Love Ashley’s quality. We are replacing a nearly 17 year old Ashley sectional and loveseat we gave to our daughter when she moved out. It is still in great condition too! We will definitely be back soon for more furniture upgrades.

My daughter has outgrown her current furniture in her bedroom, so we stopped in to see what we could find to give her a more mature set. Caden was helpful, and had an understanding of what my daughter may want vs what I should be spending. He directed her straight to what was on sale and what he thought she might like. She did a mix and match, but Caden did a great job helping her find a good mix that still matches enough to not look out of place! So thankful for him and all of his help. Great customer service by Dee at West until the moment I signed. Then she disappeared without a thank you or goodbye. There has been no follow up or touch base on delivery. Very disappointing at the level of fake customer service.

My wife and I came in shopping for a new bedroom set as a present to ourselves for our anniversary and Dee made us feel right at home. She was very kind and had no issue with me giving every single mattress for a test ride LOL It was difficult to find one that would fit me due to the fact I have a hurt back due to an old sports injury. She was patient and entertained my yapping about my kids and grandkids LOL she treated us like family and we found the right mattress and I never knew I could sleep without pain. She taught us about how a pillow affects your neck and back, NEWS TO ME LOL, and we ended up making our decision not feeling pressured or anything . Highly recommend seeing her and we will be again!

I went in to buy a couch specific for holding up well in a home daycare. I needed one small enough that it wouldn’t take up too much space and take away from our play area. Dee worked with me measuring and finding the right fabric, color, and size to fit my needs. She was very knowledgeable and professional. We wanted to add some nice outdoor furniture to our newly landscaped backyard. After searching the local box stores and Amazon I decided to see what Ashley had available. My sales person at the West Ashley location, Caden, demonstrated create product knowledge and gave us peace of mind about the composite set we chose. The sale set on Amazon was $600 more and Ashley is delivering and assembling the set which would take me 3-5hrs and a healthy dose of frustration! Really thankful for the Caden’s help!

I have an end table that I spilled fingernail polish remover on which took off the finish in a small area... and the insurance company told me to keep while they also gave me a brand new one. I had a sofa for close to five years when my granddaughters were bouncing on it roughly and made something come loose. Once again the insurance company told me to keep the sofa and that they would send me a check for slightly less than purchase price, replace it with the same sofa, or give me a reselection credit in the store for the amount I paid for the item. That's the kind of customer service that means a lot. I will continue to purchase my household items there. I love the selection and the staff are very kind and easy-going. I will add that people putting bad reviews probably aren't buying the highest quality items. Just like all stores, there are levels of quality. If you're looking for the cheapest price tag, you'll probably end up with subpar craftsmanship. Ashley carries low, middle, and high quality items. I've always went with the middle and high end items and have never been disappointed.

I was lied to by customer service—changed all of my plans accordingly to what they told me! Then as I am checking out nothing was what was told to me! Now they are saying oops, the customer service had done some investigating and they were wrong! I bought my entire house of furniture. I understand the quality is not the greatest so I had bought the warranty. Being treated like this was my worst shopping experience in my life. In fact the manager most certainly has very little people skills and I imagine he will not last long in this role. Instead of trying to resolve , he simply walked away—didn’t even apologize.

We were looking for pictures and decor. Found a huge beautiful picture at closing time it was delivered to our home. The young man who delivered it was very pleasant and patient as I opened the box to make sure the picture was not damaged. When the mattress was delivered, the delivery company wouldn't put the base together and my son-in-law had to do it. Then when the frame was put together it was done wrong. Stripped half the heads on the screws and didn't have the slates. It has been 2 weeks since I was told the frame will be exchanged. I had to call to find this information out.

Terrible experience with this store. Went and bought a table on a Monday and they said they could do a Friday delivery so I said okay what time, they said the delivery team with give you a call on Thursday to set up a time that’s convenient for you. Thursday come’s and I get a call from Kendall, I ask if he can deliver after 5pm because no one will be home until I get off work. He says he can’t, latest he can do is 3:30 pm, I said I don’t think I can make that work, he says if you would like to reschedule there will be a $150 fee. I said fine I will make 3:30 work, I’ll leave work early. Today is Friday, I get a call around 12:30 saying his schedule is running early he will be by to drop it off in 20 minutes. Um what? You want to charge me $150 to reschedule because you couldn’t deliver after 5pm, so I had to change my schedule to leave work early because it’s convenient for him and now I’m having to change it again because again it’s convenient for him?? Ridiculous. They offer free delivery in town, but there’s a catch, they will deliver when they want not when you want.

I highly recommend Ashley Furniture in west Wichita. We worked with Nate and he was great. He listened to us, took the time to see what we were trying to do with our basement remodel and finally guided us through a major furniture investment. We couldn’t be happier.

The delivery team went way above and beyond my expectations! They were able to deliver my bed a bit earlier than I anticipated and since I had a small window of time today it worked out well. That was until they discovered that there were some parts missing from the bed. They had to finish the next delivery, go back to the warehouse to get the parts and then they drove their personal vehicle to get back to me quick enough so I wouldn’t be late. The only thing I’m upset about is I didn’t grab their names to truly give them the recognition they deserve. The sales process with Debbie Achey at the 21st and Maize location was smooth as always. She helped me decide what to buy without any pressure. She had a wealth of knowledge to answer all of my silly questions. I can’t think of a better place to buy furniture in Wichita!

What a frustrating experience! We called first to make sure they had some specific things in stock before we came, as we needed items today. She assured me that I would be happy with their selections. We got there, and she immediately showed me the opposite of what I had asked for. We finally moved on to another item we were looking for, only to be upsold out of the price range we wanted. Then she didn't put our order in in time, so we missed the delivery time. We were under a timeline, which we shared several times, and yet she continued to try to sell us stuff. An hour later, once we knew our order hadn't been put in in time, we left, went to Mattress Hub, got the exact things we needed with no up selling and a better price, and were out the door in 30 minutes so we could get ready for our family gathering. Ashley Furniture lost our sale today and in the future. It should not have been that stressful, especially when we called ahead of time. Misinformation, sales tactics and ultimate time wasted made this shopping experience beyond frustrating. Mattress Hub, however, was a fantastic, stress-free shopping experience!

I'm not one to write these reviews, but we recently purchased a bed from Ashley Furniture and have had a not so great experience working with them. We ordered a bed to be delivered through the Black Friday deals and had to wait a couple weeks for it to be delivered, no big deal. When we got the bed, it was damaged. Frustrating, but these things happen, and luckily Ashley is willing to send us a replacement for free. However, this is where our experience turns negative. In a text conversation with the store confirming when our new delivery time would be, we asked for Wednesday. Today we received a notification text about our delivery occuring tomorrow on a Tuesday. We didn't want Tuesday as it is a busy day of the week for my wife and I, and a huge inconvience for either of us to take time off work on this day that causes problems. When we called to sort this out, we were basically told: "Sorry, we can't reschedule without asking for a $150+ rescheduling fee." We have it in writing that we asked for Wednesday and that this is a clerical mistake on Ashley Furniture, yet we're expected to still pay a fee in this situation? We decided to make tomorrow work despite the inconvience as we didn't want to pay that high of a fee. Really disappointed that the store put us in this position for an error on their end.

Bought couches 5 years ago with a warranty where you are supposed to get your money back if you don’t use it. Surprise after the 5 years is up you have 30 days to claim your money or it’s theirs. So after 5 years of payments I have 30 days to get that extended warranty money back? It’s dishonest. Talked to them today and they will “work to see if they can get it back” How is this a thing?

Purchased couches about 5 years ago with an option to pay an extra fee for an unlimited warranty on them. The deal was if the warranty wasn't used within the 5 years you were paying off the couch, you would get that money back. Surprise, they don't send a check in the mail when the 5 years is up, you have to claim your money within 30 days or they keep it. 5 years I have been paying off these couches and I get 30 days to claim MY OWN money back. (The money was no small fee) Will not be purchasing from this place again. Hopefully they make this right, but this is very disheartening. How is this a thing?

I paid for a loveseat which took 30 minutes to pay for. But it will take 3 weeks and 3 days to deliver even though l pay to have deliver. You would think if paying for delivery out of town you could get as soon as they deliver in town. But if you live out of town they take as long as they want or whenever they have others that deliver

We didn't have a problem with the people at store, but when we had our couch delivered the guys tried to take down our ceiling porch light without even saying anything to us and then ended up not taking it down all the way and didn't even need to mess with it in the first place. Now we can't get it to work at all , and it was left just hanging by wires .

We just had a patio home built and of course we wanted a bedroom set …. My husband and I finally agreed one this one set. Our sales man was Steve nice gentleman. The bed king size was in stock the side table were not! That’s ok our house at that time was not Ready this was last year. I’m so disappointed because we still have not received our side tables. I’ve call several time and get the same answer (. There expected to be in the end of Jan the middle of Feb then March now end of April first of May). What Year are we talking about? I’m so upset and I got other furniture to buy. I guess Slumberland or Furniture Row will get my business. ThanksAshley’s. That vendor needs to know people have waited way to long.

My family and I have been shopping furnitures around town and even in Kansas City. But we have never had a bad experience at all. I purchased dining table set and accent chair about 2 weeks ago.i paid $129 for delivery. When they text me and set up delivery date and time and I couldn’t make it . i ask them to reschedule and they said they will charge for rescheduling but they would waive that fee for me one time. But I work 2nd shift and I come to work at 3pm everyday. I ask them I’m free any time from the morning until 3pm so they could deliver to me any date before 3pm. It doesn’t matter what date. I can wait until they can arrange to deliver before 3pm. I can wait a month or 2 months for them to reschedule. It doesn’t matter to me at all. because I’m not in hurry. They said there is no way to deliver before 3pm. . I don’t really know what time they start delivering furnitures to customers everyday??? I think they start delivering at 3pm everyday 😂. Maybe I just spent only $3300 so that’s small for them. Haverty’s ,slumberland, furnitures mart or ikea …. Other stores in town they always try to do the best that they can. First time ever have a bad experience like this. Never shop again with them anymore. I had to cancel my orders.

I would not spend money here! After the sale they could care less if you get your product and to you satisfaction. It started by them calling an hour early saying they would be there too early. I quickly called the store and talked to the "delivery" coordinator, and I use that term very loosely, and told her I couldn't have anyone out there any earlier than the scheduled time. She assured me she would tell them no problem. Well they showed up early anyway and by my camera waited for one minute and left and no call and I didn't check my camera until later. My person that was supposed to meet the delivery showed up 10 minutes earlier than the delivery time and waited.....and waited.... about an hour after they were supposed to be there and I called the "delivery" coordinator again and she said they were there and no one was there to let them in and I reminded her about our previous talk that was no more than 2 hours earlier and they still showed up early and she said she would find out what happened and get back to me. She came back with someone would be there within the hour. Two hours later, mind you my person is still there waiting on them, I get a call saying they would be there in 30mins. 50 minutes after that they finally show up and from what I'm told rushed around throwing things around seeming very upset they were even there. Then come to find out they don't have the hardware to even put the bed together...WHAT?!? So at that point I would figure they would go get it and come back...Nope! They would reschedule for ANOTHER visit at a later time. Jee thanks. And the bed is a bed that comes in a box and has to be opened and let set for 48 hrs and they didn't remove that from its box and left the box spring in its plastic bag...Nice!! I talked to the "delivery" coordinator again and told her "after all of this amd you don't bring the hardware to complete the job?" Again, she assured me she would handle it and send someone out when I got off work and complete the job. I get home to see all of this and it looks like they just threw everything in my son's room all half as'ed and just looked like no care or pride in their work. She said they would be there at 630pm... no one shows till 715pm. The gentleman handed me the hardware and started to walk off. I asked him about putting the bed together and he replied, "I'm off the clock, I just live close, so they had me drop the stuff off." I was SO shocked, I really shouldn't have been with how they have handled everything to this point. Fast forward to the next morning, I talk to a manager and he has assured me someone will meet me at my house over lunch... jee thanks I didn't want to eat and waste more time. I asked about making it right and he told me nothing I can do on this one, BUT the next time I need something he'll hook me up then. MAN! WILL YOU REALLY! OH THANKS but I will not be back! Nebraska Furniture Mart will have my business. They have ALWAYS taken care of me and followed through with their promises. I was trying to shop local and places like that make it hard!!

I bought a sectional couch, ottoman and entertainment center from Ashley today. It was a surprisingly easy experience. I had just come from Furniture Row and I have to say that Ashley’s prices, quality, delivery fees, protection plans and delivery times were all hands down better. I’ve bought furniture from Furniture Row before and their financing and check out process took FOREVER. When I applied for financing and checked out at Ashley, it literally took a few minutes. Furniture Row told me today that delivery wouldn’t be until August (it’s March) but Ashley said I would have all of my pieces by the end of the month! It was my first time ever even being in an Ashley HomeStore and I walked away super satisfied with the whole experience. Will definitely recommend them to my family and friends!

Tired of excuses, and little to no help. They have us by the balls and we can do nothing and they aren't offering any sort of help or compensation for this taking so long. Their sleep well program is not accepted because of Covid for the pillows that are making your sleep horrible, only the mattress. What is the difference. You will exchange my mattress but not my pillow. Not sure what happened to your “customer service” but that’s definitely not it ESP when we paid extra for the protection plan.

Very poorly constructed furniture. Absolutely does not last. If you buy a sofa from Ashley, plan on replacing it in two years, when it will look more worn out than yard sale furniture.My experience based on 3 different sofas purchased at Ashley.

We were scheduled to have our new kitchen table and chairs delivered today. I got the text that it would be delivered between 2:15-2:45 so I had taken plenty of time off work to let them in. We also had the curb delivery which states in their paperwork that “service includes delivery across first doorway or threshold”. They showed up over 2 hours early, with no notice and left all the pieces just sitting on my porch. I need some new living room furniture too but I’ll be getting it from someone else!

We went in looking for a sectional and found exactly what we were wanting. Debbie was awesome, she knew the answers to all our questions and did everything she could to make sure we got the best deal. We had turned down the protection plan at first, but once Debbie found out we have 5 kids she insisted that she find a way to get us the protection plan, and she did!! Even our little one clung to her like she was family and didn’t want to leave her. So make sure if you go to the west side Ashley Furniture, you find Debbie!

Real life, on our last purchase there was a little confusion, no one really to blame, and the issue was resolved exactly like their policies stated to everyone's satisfaction. If you want a furniture store that will do you right, you’d do best going to Hortons on West Kellogg. Ordered a footboard from them Ashley’s on W. 21st St. Told them what frame and they supposedly ordered the right one. Got it in a box, left in box in garage for 3 weeks waiting on husband to have time to change out. When took out of box, found out it was the wrong one. They would not let me exchange it for the right one because we had the footboard for more than 10 days before we reported it being the wrong one. Even though it was just taken out of box and put right back in when found it was the wrong one. On the flip side, bought a couch from Hortons and after a couple of months one the electric recline buttons broke. They let us have a whole new couch because of the trouble. Ashley’s do not stand behind their products, which are no better quality, and less so in many cases, than other furniture stores.

Your furniture WILL NEVER ARRIVE. They will quote you 8-12 weeks though. Twenty weeks later and we get yet another answer of "it'll be at the end of month." Problem is, they are just blowing smoke because they don't even know. But come the end of that month, you'll hear the same line again, "it'll be in at the end of the month." Meanwhile, you've forked out money for furniture you don't have and can't use. Go somewhere else. You'll probably get it faster and you'll probably get more help.

we bought living room furniture from here about 8 months ago. The salesman talked us into buying the protection plan and ensured us that all pet damage was covered. the only reason we agreed is because we have dogs and was worried about nail damage. well the dog ripped a hole in the chair and now they tell me it's not covered, only damage from bodily fluids! I'm seriously pissed.. they didn't tell us this or I would never have spent the extra hundreds on this pointless warranty. I mean I was never worried my dog would alleviate himself on the furniture.. my only concern was his nails. we spent a lot of money on this and now have to look at this big rip. . I will never buy another thing from these guys! UPDATE!! after posting this review, Andrew from Ashley on 21st street in Wichita gave me a call. He was extremely helpful. He has resolved my issue and they will be fixing my chair. I want to take back everything I said. Andrew went above and beyond to listen to my problem and do whatever was needed to fix it. He had a great attitude and made me feel valued as a customer. I very much appreciate his commitment to customer satisfaction, and yes, I will be returning to Ashley for my future furniture needs🙂

I went in knowing what I wanted. Took me right to what I wanted. Made sure we were getting the best price. No pressure to try to sell anything else.

Immediately we were greeted by Michele and told her we were interested in recliners. She took us straight to them and was extremely patient with my fiance and I. She gave us an amazing discount and even free delivery. When we go back to buy the matching couch we will Def go back to her.

Sales people lie to make a commission. Spent over $18k furnishing our entire home, spent over $1000 on “lifetime warranty” that we have now found out is NOT lifetime and takes at least 3 months to get a replacement for said furniture. Total rip off, and quality is not even that good. Have multiple other pieces we need to file claims on as well.

I would stay clear of this store!!! We purchased a recliner there. When they brought the recliner out it was a different color than was in the store. If you're not satisfied with your purchase you then have to haul the item back to their distribution center. Then they will charge a 20% restock fee to take it back. So if you want to shop at a store that practices good business ethics and will treat you fair don't shop there.

Dee was very pleasant to work with. Husband and I went in with dimensions and some photos of our living space and what we had or were planning to decorate our living room with. Gave our color scheme and with Dee’s professional and expert advice was able to help us fine the perfect sectional to fit our needs. I went in already feeling overwhelmed and nervous about what to purchase would everything match and fit together?? Walked out feeling very confident and excited about our purchase.
