Rhonda was such an amazing help to me in my experience in the Ashely store. There was also another salesman here, and he was pretty awesome as well. Both employees were highly knowledgeable, and to be honest, they both should have their own stores. The amazing experience they provided me as I was trying to purchase was just top-notch, with the best customer service, sales, and shipping that I’ve ever dealt with in my 59 years on this earth.
I had the pleasure of purchasing two bed frames from Ashley Furniture. Lamont Walden, our sales associate was very professional, courteous, and provided excellent customer service. I would certainly come back and work with Mr. Walden again. He made the customer experience a remarkable one.
My worst experience interacting with any furniture establishment. You have to follow-up daily for items that you paid for as if they're doing you a favour. In particular, Kiera at the Capitol Heights store was the rudest and unfriendliest person to deal with. I would not recommend this store if you would like to keep your sanity.

Had been looking for a couch these last 1-2 months. Went to Ashley’s furniture and purchased a nice quality couch. Also, I would be remised if I didn’t mention the great customer service I received from Kim Watson. She really made the difference in me purchasing the couch.

We were told our furniture would arrive in two to three weeks when we paid, later to find out that it would be six weeks, "but maybe less," whatever that means. We were planning to make a large bedroom furniture purchase from Ashley, but not anymore.
“Unacceptable Customer Service from Corporate – Still Stuck with the Wrong Mattress!” I purchased a mattress from Ashley’s Furniture in Capital Heights, MD, with the help of my godfather who financed it. My family, including my godfather, has been shopping with Ashley Furniture for several years, but after this experience, I can no longer do business with them. I was very clear about the exact mattress I needed, but the wrong one was delivered. After notifying the store, corporate took weeks to respond to the issue and arrange for the wrong mattress to be removed from my apartment. Eventually, I agreed to an exchange, and Area Manager Malcolm coordinated the delivery of a second mattress, with the plan that they would take the first wrong mattress out of my home. When the second mattress arrived—three weeks later—I immediately knew it was wrong too, just by feeling it. Even the delivery worker agreed that it wasn’t the correct ultra-firm mattress based on what I had described and the tag I showed him from the correct mattress at another store. As a result, the second mattress was never even brought into my apartment. However, when I asked the delivery team to take the first incorrect mattress that’s been sitting unused in my home for over 30 days, they said they couldn’t. They only took back the second one they brought that day. So now, I’m still stuck with the original wrong mattress in my unit, and corporate has yet to schedule a time to remove it. Their lack of response and failure to address this situation shows that their only concern is the money, not customer satisfaction. After all this back-and-forth, they’re offering another exchange or charging cancellation fees, instead of simply canceling the order and making things right. Under Maryland’s Consumer Protection Act and federal consumer protection laws, businesses are required to deliver products as advertised and to address complaints in a fair and timely manner. The failure to provide the correct mattress—twice—and the delays in resolving the issue could be seen as a violation of these laws. If this issue isn’t resolved soon, I’ll be left with no choice but to escalate this further by filing a complaint with the Maryland Attorney General’s Office, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and the Prince George’s County Office of Consumer Protection, and exploring other consumer protection channels. I’ve always been a fan of Ashley’s Furniture, but after this experience, I can no longer recommend them to friends or family. This situation is beyond frustrating, and it’s concerning that such a well-known company is failing to follow basic customer service practices. To Ashley’s corporate: Cancel the order, schedule the mattress to be picked up and stop dragging this out. This entire process has been exhausting and unacceptable.
Therlow was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He patiently answered all of my questions regarding mattresses and base choices... all 9,000...lol. I left feeling more knowledgeable then when I came in. Thank you Therlow for your expertise.
Upon entering the store I was not sure what I needed in a new mattresses, BUT I knew I needed a NEW one!! Therlow was very knowledgeable, extremely patient and gave the type of customer you only hope for especially when making a large purchase and expecting a quality item!! It's been 3 months since I've been sleeping on my convertable mattress and I definitely made the right purchase with the right Ashley Associate!! Thank you Therlow and team!!

Great shopping and delivery experience with Ashley in Capital Heights, MD!
I booked order with Ashley and at the time of the booking confirmed the delivery date for the furniture before paying. My wife was expecting, and we were absolutely clear on the delivery date before the purchase. So I paid and waited 2 weeks, and 1 day before the delivery I was informed that the order is delayed and it cant be delivered for another 4 weeks. I provided reference of the conversation and mentioned that the store manager came twice to confirm the furniture delivery date to my pregnant wife while placing order. Shoulders were shrugged and I was told there is nothing they can do. As an alternate, they tried to sell me another bedset which I didn’t like and refused to change the order. I requested them that they can make some interim arrangement by sending me any bedset and when my order is ready they can deliver and take back the bedset, it was refused. So the only option was to wait or get something which you dont like. So, eventually I was told that the money will be refunded as they can’t help me. So I had to go around and make arrangements for something in stock while my wife is 2 days close to her due date. I took it as kind of blackmailing tactic from Ashleys and disappointed by the overall experience. The money has not reflected in my card and its been 5 days. I will have to go to the store to speak with someone in-charge and to get the money refunded once I get free from the delivery of my child. Overall, I wish there is a negative rating button which I could press to rate my experience, however in the absence of none I had to choose the minimum. My advise, would be to place the order with them if you can wait for 10-12 weeks and still expect unexpected. Thanks

My experience with Ashley Furniture Store has been nothing short of awful. After paying for my furniture in full, they canceled my order and sold the item to someone else. When I arrived to pick it up, they informed me that I would have to wait another month. On top of that, the refund process has been a complete hassle, and I'm still waiting to get my money back. This store is extremely unprofessional, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Shop elsewhere to avoid these issues.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Ashley Furniture Store. Despite paying for my furniture in advance, they canceled my order and sold it to someone else. Don’t buy anything from here! Ashley Furniture Store has really disappointed me. They canceled my furniture and sold it to someone else even though I paid for the item first. This is really disappointing. When I came here for pick up, they told me I have to wait another month. This is what they did. This is really unprofessional and really disappointing store. I will never purchase from them again. I purchased a bed frame and delivery was scheduled, then I received an email that they cancelled my order. I called customer service to see why the order was cancelled and they confirmed that there was no cancellation on my account. Well here I am on the delivery date and they said the order doesn’t exist because THEY in fact did cancel it. Never again
My experience here has been great the last two times I purchased items. The staff and the manager were so friendly and helpful on May 19th when I was in the store with my daughter. We purchased a mattress and boxspring. I would definitely shop here again!!

Alphatrus was phenomenal. When I found out Ashley didn't have grouped prices, my first mind was to leave because I'm not a shopper so like things quick and easy. But he was patient and explained to me he'd be the one doing the calculations. So I am now buying a new living room set. I am impressed with his professionalism and his colleagues such as Rhonda.

My experience at Ashley has been incredibly frustrating and irritating. The staff at this location come across as arrogant, which has left me feeling disappointed. While I don't want to say I'll never visit an Ashley store again, I can confidently say I won't be returning to this specific location. Last Saturday, my family and I visited in search of furniture we needed urgently before relatives arrived. Unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal. We had left another store to explore Ashley's offerings, only to miss out on a better deal. The sales representative we were assigned seemed clueless and lacked basic customer service skills. When we expressed interest in a specific set, she provided minimal assistance and failed to clarify pricing details. Consequently, we ended up paying for items that weren't what we expected. When we contacted the store to address our concerns, we were met with a dismissive and rude response over the phone. It's clear that better staff training or selection is needed at this location. Overall, my time at Ashley was a waste.
Utterly disappointed and angered by the service I received from the warehouse. A sofa and chair were damaged at the seams upon arrival. I paid movers to have the furniture returned following the direction I received from the Capitol Heights store only to be denied by the warehouse for returning the furniture due to some baseless claims. How a warehouse can override the direction of management from where I purchased the furniture is beyond me. I wasn't asking for a refund at the time of the return, but to simply receive furniture without any defects. The defects were behind the plastic wrappings and no fault of my own. I paid over $2300 for a damaged set that they could have easily made right.

My brother and I went there in December 2023 we bought bedrooms set ‘ they delivered them on January 5 2024 i call them to let them know that my furniture was damaged they asked me for pictures in everything, every time I call them they keep saying same thing over and over again gave me 72 hours someone showed get a contract with you “This is the most unprofessional service I have ever received in my life”.

After searching numerous furniture stores for living room furniture that would match my style and color preferernces, and I almost settled for one that that checked most of the boxes. However, I hadn't yet checked Ashley's, so decided to go there before finalizing my choice. That's where I found the living room set that checked all the box -- great style, great color, great quality, and a great customer service experience from Therlow Foy. Although I tend to flee sales people when I walk in a store because I want time to brown uninterrupted, Mr. Foy greeted me as I walked in, informed me about the great sale they were having and the layout of the store, but didn't linger as I browsed, which I really appreciated. When I located him to ask a question about something lovely that had caught my eye he was most professtional, knowledgeable and attentive in providing information. No pressure. I went home to get my husband so I could show him the furniture I had my eye on. My mom and I came in today to view a 5 drawer Chest. Lamont met us at the door with great customer service and a smile. He was able to direct us to exactly what we came in for. Received damaged furniture and four months later they still haven't picked up the damaged furniture or resolved the issue of damaging my property when delivering the furniture. They do not listen to the customer and play the blaming game. At this point I just want a full refund and never deal with them again.

This store needs to rethink the people they hire. They have a customer service woman with a short ponytail that is rude and totally dismissive. You ask her basic questions and she gets smart and even when the general manager came up to rectify the situation she still acted unprofessional. She didn’t know how to listen I had to keep mentioning the same thing over and over. I hope they have a conversation with her because this will definitely drive customers away. The girl was dark skinned and heavy set. Get anyone but her to help you.

Do not shop here. Save yourself the headache and frustration of being mislead. If you need something trendy and within budget, shop online or a different brand. Against our better judgment, we decided to buy from this company again. Lesson learned. We had to call the store to receive the delivery date. At no point were we notified while purchasing that the items would come in after Thanksgiving, if we were... we most definitely would have decided against it. After all, we were purchasing a table for the holidays. We feel taken advantage of and feel that store quotas were placed over customer relations. We are stuck with limited options that solely benefit the store. 1. Cancel the order and pay a restocking fee on items that haven't even left the warehouse, or 2. Wait until after Thanksgiving and hope they don't push the delivery date back like the last time. Go to Haverty's, Pottery Barn, or even Amazon at this.

Initially we only wanted to buy a mattress and bedframe. Bony greeted us and did a great job at explaining Ashley's current sale promotions. Bony showed us bedroom sets and several different types of mattresses. I also met Kierra, the general manager she was very personable with a very warm spirit. Overall my experience with Ashley was awesome! The reason for my rating is bc when I originally scheduled the delivery date, I never received a call to confirm nor did I receive a call advising that my scheduled delivery was cancelled. I called and the representative I spoke to couldn’t advise me as to why it was cancelled either. However, we were able to get it rescheduled and I received my delivery items on the new scheduled delivery date. I absolutely love my new furniture and look forward to buying more in the future!

BEWARE OF MAURICE (SALESPERSON)- I was in Ashley Furniture 1711 Ritchie Court Capital Heights, MD. My salesperson was Maurice and i wanted to buy a sofa that was on sale for $499. Maurice said that the tax would be $33 and delivery $119-Everything was cool until I reviewed my invoice. Maurice had up charged the sofa to $554, re-filtered the tax and delivery back unto my invoice for financing and had No plausible explanation as to WHY he was trying to rip me off other than stating this is the way it is. When I Spoke to the manager, he could not explain the nefarious act either and said the same that's the way it is although I questioned their bate and switch practice, the potential fraudulent billing and the denial of financial re-payment options that were clearly visible on my telephone that I showed them to see that the financial options did qualify to receive. At this time the manager apologized and I told him that yes he was sorry for being busted/ trying to rip me off. Maurice interjected aggressively to invoke an argument with me a WOMAN??? I called his woman like behavior out and encouraged them to have a blessed day. Needless to say, I went to BOB's Furniture and you should too where they treat you with utmost professionalism and respect your dollar. Ask for Jose and Whatever you do please CHECK and REVIEW your invoice prior to signing anything to avoid being ripped OFF by these unprofessional associates of ASHLEY FURNITURE in Capital Heights Maryland!!!

I thought that I was safe purchasing a 3 seat sofa for my basement at Ashley. This morning, I received my delivery, one month after my ordering unfortunately, it was the wrong item. From the get go I told the gentleman that couch was not what I purchased. The receipt had the right number but the item was wrong. I had to show the picture from the store to convey the driver to take it back... That is not right I call the delivery service immediately and a course of action took place... I got my Sofa: it was the driver's mistake. Regardless of my happy ending experience: I still think that the driver passive aggressive attitude at the beginning was full intimidation to make me accept the item.I concur with all the ratings that Ashley Store received because it is a different experience from the store to the home. I have no complaints about the Capitol Heights store, the order was placed correctly. What is wrong is the supply chain and logistics: mismatching items with wrong coding are problem to customers.Dear Ashley/ Regency I hope you continue make improvements for our community.

Ashley’s is always the way to go! My wife and I had an easy time finding the couch of our dreams with the help of Maurice! From the moment we entered we weren’t jumped on. He let us walk around, introduced himself, and DID NOT FOLLOW US AROUND THE STORE! We appreciated it. There was no pressure! He was able to answer all questions. Stayed close enough so that he was in eye shot if we needed him. Even when we wanted to go up the street to look at another store he didn’t make us feel bad and gave us great service when we came back ready to buy. That was a great furniture shopping experience thanks to Maurice!

The service warranty that Ashley provide through Protectall by GBS is a waste of money and a joke. The reclining sofa I bought was great but the charging port broke and the insurance I bought has wasted 2 hours of my time for a small charging port. What a time suck!

My sectional came yesterday 8/8/23 and it came damaged. I called the delivery and the store as soon as I saw the damage to the right arm corner chaise. The sofa seat is not firm like the other seats. When I spoke to them yesterday I was told there was another one in stock. Now today 8/9/23 they don’t have one. They want me to pay $150 to return it and it’s has not been 72 hours. They changed me $169.99 to deliver damage furniture. The Ritchie Station Court are a franchise Ashley’s they own the Regency and the Marlo’s Furniture they are robbing on the low. They gave me damage furniture and will not replace it but want to repair it. I paid for new furniture not damaged or repaired furniture. I just want them to come and get the furniture and give me my money back. They giving me the runaround because they are trying to run out my time to get a full refund back. This is stressful and bad business. I wish I could give them zero stars. This is unbelievable!

If I based this only on my initial experience, it would have been 5 stars. Kevin was amazing as a salesman. But, somewhere they messed up my order and when I called, they acknowledged the error but never followed up. When I called, "Casey" hung up on me twice, and another CSR hung up on me twice, which prompted me to go to the store. When I arrive, of course, "Casey" was gone. I initially asked for Casey's name but they refused to provide it. I spoke to the manager Kiera, whose demeanor was so poor, she did nothing to address the young ladies hanging up on me, then refused to refund me stating my item was "in transit" and would take 5 days to arrive (15 miles distance between DC and store) although it was promised on 7/17. Then, she accused me of taking pictures of one of the girls who was so rude when I was on FT with my sister who wanted to see a picture hanging on the wall. I told her I didn't take a picture and offered to show her my phone but she refused and rather told me to leave. I advised I wasn't leaving without a refund or the merchandise I had already paid for on 7/15. She called the police. When the police arrived, that's when I was able to get Casey's name (they volunteered it to the police but refused to provide it to me citing privacy). Unfortunately, their actions caused Kevin to lose his commission on my sale and thwarted my plans to return to purchase furniture as I just moved into a new home and my son just moved into his own apartment. I reached out to their corporate office and they have yet to respond. They lost a customer for sure. Been shopping at Ashley for more than 20 years. Havertys just gained a customer.
Aziz offers the best assistance been coming to this Ashley for about five years now, and he is my go-to. Thanks always for your excellent customer service.

I recently purchased some furniture and accessories (lamp and mattress protector) from this location. I paid, and was scheduled a delivery date for all of my items. On the delivery date, I received the wrong bed and my accessories were not included. I was then told that I would have to wait 72hrs before I could reschedule. A restocking fee was added and I had to wait for that to be removed before scheduling delivery. The salesman, Therlow promised me that I would receive all of my items on a particular date and that never happened. I reached out to Therlow and he never responded. I had to call and reschedule my delivery. When I finally received my bed, the accessories were not delivered. I called and inquired about my items and was told that they do not deliver accessories (which I should have been told when I purchased them) and if I wanted them I would had to go to the Brandywine location to pick them up. I then requested a refund and was told I would have to go to the store and request a "cancellation" and I would incur a cancellation fee. So, again the customer is inconvenienced when the store made the error.This was one of the worst customer service experiences! This company has some archaic policies that make it difficult for their customers. I will never buy anything from Ashley Furniture again!There is also no formal customer service department. Their answer is always "you have to contact the store."

What I loved most about my visit to Ashley has to be at Nisha, who I found out at the end of my transaction was the office manager. Not to say that people with different titles should act different but you know how it can be. Very disappointed in the recent experience I just had with this location. I purchased a mattress in January and still haven’t received it. I called more than several times and was told various ETAs of when it was arriving. I tried to get in touch with the general manager Jonathan who never responded. The customer service was quite poor from the sales man Darrin to the front desk staff who just take messages , do not look into your concerns or return your calls. I finally had to cancel my order and the front desk manager Neesha happily did it while making sarcastic comments. I definitely wouldn’t order from this location, the delivery system they have in place is poorly put together, bad communication amongst the staff and no empathy for the customer.

I was greeted by Aziz Jackson upon entering the Ashley Capitol Heights location. He was very attentive in helping me narrow down the type of family room furniture I was looking for. He allowed me space to test out the furniture but also checking back in to make sure I didn’t need any information. What I liked the most was that I didn’t feel pressured to purchase at the moment. He gave me the option to hold the furniture for 48 hours to continue shopping around to be sure of what I wanted. My experience with salesman Aziz Jackson was absolutely wonderful. The furniture is very nice. My experience was the corporate office has been HORRIBLE. We overpaid and was told by the front desk that we were going to receive our refund within 21 days that’s now past due. Contacted corporate today and was told we won’t receive the funds until around the middle of January, not acceptable.

I want to give them zero stars if I could . I went in the store In November to purchase a sectional sofa. They sales person told Me it would take 2-12 weeks to receive the corner chaise which was not in stock . When they gave me my invoice the client name on the form was of another customer. They noticed the mistake and told me it would be corrected. They gave me a second invoice with the other client name but changed the deliver to with my information . Manger told me they would send me an email with the corrected information that day which I never received. I tried tracking my order online and called customer service multiple times and they could not find my order. I called the store again and the person I spoke to told me she would update my information in the system and the order was corrected to give it a few days to track my order. Nothing was found with my information, and again my number for the order was not updated , the person told me that they would call their finance department and someone would call me to give me an update . A week went by and no one has called me or tried to take ownership of the issue . They tell you anything to get you off the phone but don’t take any responsibility for their mistake or even try to resolve the issue. i called them today once again because it’s going to be almost a month and the person I spoke to said they spoke to another department and “they went ahead and canceled the order because they thought it wasn’t processed the first time” which makes no sense. They said now that the item won’t be in stock until January which they gave me the wrong time frame the first time. I called a customer service number and they said my order was cancelled on the 5th of December. Not one person mentioned that the order was cancelled, this was an extremely unpleasant experience and the team they have take no accountability and don’t seem to care. They just care about selling the product . Mistakes happen all the time , but the lack of communication and ownership to resolve the issue is disappointing and unprofessional. Bad customer service !

I am used to Ashley's having s wide range of options to chose from in the store. However, I was disappointed by the selection available. There were only like 6 or so selections to chose from in the twin bed selection. Everything else had to be looked up online. This kind of defeated the purpose of having a showroom floor. And they selections available were not physically appealing, nor were they available to purchase that day.

Moved to a new home and was looking for a furniture store with reasonable prices and reliable fulfillment and delivery. (I’ve experienced other vendors claiming furniture was available but delivery was weeks later for pieces that were actually out of stock, or delivering the wrong furniture entirely and then putting me through drama of getting a refund.) The salesperson at Ashley was professional and HONEST about what furniture was in stock and had us in and out in less than an hour. We settled on a sectional that was actually delivered EARLIER than the time frame given. Glad I found a local furniture store that’s professional and doesn’t break the bank.

It’s true you really need to read the reviews. I’m disappointed with Ashley more so the staff at this location. Every time i call the delivery date is changed. I just called and the girl laughed on the phone and said “I don’t know what to tell you I’ve only been here 5 days” lol . Like just be upfront with customers and we could go somewhere else and buy instead of waiting 3-4 months and the time changing every time you call. I should’ve sticked with Wayfair.
Do not buy anything from this store because they are all liars and the service department is the WORST. Can you imagine sleeping on a bed where your head is lower than your feet, but your back/stomach is higher than your head and feet? That's what Ashley sold me!Background:While shopping for furniture, a salesman approached us and said that we should buy from the store rather than from their online store because the store prices are cheaper and if we need help with customer service, they would help out. The lies started here.We brought a bed frame and a mattress. Both items on Ashleyfurniture.com were SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than in the store. The salesman acted shocked and told us that was not usually the case. He did beat the online price. And apparently, the salesmen in this store can lower the price at will, because our salesman frantically started inputting different discount percentages in the computer until it was lower than the online price. The bed frame and mattress were delivered to our home. Upon inspection of the mattress, we noticed right away that it was not even. The foot of the mattress was lower than the middle. Even worst, the head of the mattress was lower than the foot. We were told that it takes 48 hours to fill out since the mattress was rolled up. (Note: we also brought a mattress from Sleeponlatex.com and that was not the case, but we thought it was possible since the material was different.)After 48 hours, the bed was still uneven. The indentations were still significant at the head and foot of the mattress. We called customer service requesting a refund or a new bed. Customer service told us we couldn't get a refund because it's been 48 hours! WOW, what a sleazy business practice! Customer service asked me to send pictures and they would send a technician out in 7-10 business days to inspect it. I sent pictures that same day. 15 business days later, no word from Ashley. After my failed attempt of trying to reach customer service. My wife had to call the store to get them to call customer service. Eventually, we got a technician scheduled five business days later. The technician shows up at my house and I showed the technician the mattress and did the measurement myself in front of him. He acknowledged that the mattress was off. He asked me to give him a minute to let him do his thing. I went back downstairs to our office which is right by our front door. A few moments later, I noticed him hastily walking towards the front door to leave, so I stopped him and asked what is wrong with the mattress. He says "Yeah, the mattress is off and you will be hearing from Ashley in 10 to 15 business days." About three business days later, I received a call from Ashley's customer service. They said that the technician told them nothing was wrong with the mattress! I'm furious at this point because he lied! (See pictures)I called Ashley's customer service again. This time I speak to like three different people. The last woman tells me the perception of the bed was considered normal because it was not off by 1.5 inches. Which is not true. The head of the bed is closer to 2 inches off from the middle. And who wants to sleep on an uneven bed?However, I concluded at this point that they will have an excuse for everything. First, wait 48 hours to let the bed fill out and now, 1.5 inches "perceptions" are considered normal. The next excuse from Ashley would probably be that, we had the mattress for three months, so they can't replace it even though I was waiting on them for the hold time. smh.Do not trust Google reviews. Left this same review under Google and it was deleted. After further research, I found out that business owners can delete negative reviews.

He was very professional and provided excellent customer service. Upon checkout, Jayda offered several financing options and was extremely courteous friendly. Update: My experience at Ashley at Richie Station Court was great. Delivery on the other hand was terrible, which is why my review is now at 1 star. I experienced delivery from a third party moving company, which I was not notified of until they were at my front door. This experience with the third party movers was so unprofessional. They took pictures and video of my property without my permission and tried to make me sign a waiver for damages. Make sure you confirm who will deliver your furniture before making a purchase, so you can avoid the situation that I experienced. I have never experienced this in my life and felt extremely uncomfortable. Corporate, please do better by your customers. Original: I had a great experience at Ashley at Richie Station Court. Lamont was very knowledgeable, gave me the space I needed to decide on a purchase, and was encouraging when things did not go as expected. My wife and I purchased a bedframe with adjustable base from the Capital Heights location. The items were delivered to our home on August 2nd. My wife and I are not happy with the delivery service and the defective products we received. The delivery staff that came to our home, specifically Orlando, was rude and unwilling to wear a mask. He threw the mask on the floor when my wife asked him politely to wear one. He proceeded to laugh in her face and ignore her until I came upstairs and told him to put the mask on. Because of this situation, I asked them to put the furniture together and vacate our property immediately. We were unable to inspect the items received before signing the delivery slip. If we were not in the situation that occurred, I would have refused the bedframe. Also, I asked the store and delivery guys to remove the mattress from our bedroom when they came, but they refused to take it. The furniture that we received was scratched in several places, the footboard looks as if they use wood glue to replace a piece of cracked wood, and some areas looks as if the set was already serviced previously. The adjustable base was not function properly and appears to have a short in the control panel. It works intermittently. My wife went to the store immediately after the guys left to complain about the delivery staff and defects we noticed once we inspected everything. We have been up to the store four times, with no resolution. The service manager does not return calls. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION!

We were helped by Corneice who was very thoughtful and attentive. We e had previously been to the store and helped by Yousef who showed us our different furniture options but we weren't ready to make a decision at the time. Corneice helped us place out order when we were ready and made sure we were capable of getting our order in a timely fashion. She was also a great help when I had additional questions about accessories in the showroom, even removing a painting from the wall to check the price.

Do not recommend if you need anything delivered! Their warehouse will not schedule anything til the day before and does not let you reschedule until they attempt delivery. So even if what you ordered is in stock, if you are not a hermit it will likely take 6 wks or more to get your furniture delivered when you are home.
The only reason this store is receiving one star from me is because you have to give one star to comment. When I made my purchase in store, I was informed the next step would be setting up a delivery date and time. The salesman, Lamont (I believe), told me everything I wanted was in stock. That was a lie. I had to wait until a slat arrived for the bed and was informed I would be contacted at an unknown time when it was time for me to schedule the delivery. You do not schedule the delivery. A scheduler calls and gives you a date to confirm or not. Then they contact you again and give a non-negotiated four hour window block in which your exact time of delivery is unknown. When speaking with the scheduler, I tried to set a time that I would be available. I was quickly told the first change is free, but if I move the time again, they would charge me. The first date of delivery was fine, but the window started at 0700. I didn’t get off work until 1000 AM. No type of accommodation or compromise was made. They canceled the date of delivery. I attempted to call to reschedule again. The scheduling representative informed me that I spoke with his manager on my first call so there was nothing he could do for me. I told them I would like to cancel the purchase. I was informed I could only do so in store. I went into the store where I was told if I cancelled, they would keep my money. The woman acted as if she would be contacting me directly and there would be no more messy conversations with the scheduling department. I was told that she'd tell me the time of delivery as a heads up, but this was the same four hour timeframe the scheduling company provided. I only received another date with a four hour window for which they told me I would have to be available the entire time because they do not know the specific time the furniture would be delivered. I will never purchase from this Ashley Furniture again or any other Ashley. Terrible service all around.

Our most recent visit was by far the worst experience we ever had. I’ll spare the details (too many issues to name), just know that they really turn up the customer service when you are purchasing furniture, then ask for positive (5-star) reviews mentioning the rep’s name (which is deceiving), and if you have an issue (which you most likely will), there is no one there to help you. Please don’t fall for the trap like we did. Keep reading, you will see most, if not all positive reviews have the rep’s name in the review. We were told when they asked for a 5-start rating that the rep’s receive incentives/bonuses. They should be ashamed…please note the response from the owner below…not only have I already made numerous claims via the email address given in the owners response, but I’ve also sent pictures! Please do not patronize me with your canned response.
Buyer beware! So this was at the Richie station location. The markup was nearly at 100% for this item. This item was "on sale" for 40% off. When I showed both tags to the manager, the response was "oh, that is the price Ashley paid and the $175 price is what we sell it for". She offered to sell me the item for the lowest price. Beware!

The customer service I received from Aziz Jackson was top notch. He took his time time to answer every question my father and I had, and listened to what we said we were looking for. This couch was for my first home, and Aziz helped me find the perfect one! I'm grateful for the level of professionalism he displayed and vast knowledge of the products. BUYER BEWARE!! First and foremost, the reason for the positive reviews on here is because the sales people ASK their customers to write a positive review so they get some kind of incentive. That first visit is misleading. DO NOT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REIVEWS!!! I’m going to share one of many issues we’ve had with this location. We purchased a mattress in 2021. We were told that they are currently out of stock but they have some coming in two weeks or so; we would get a call to schedule delivery. Two weeks went by and no phone call from Ashley Furniture so I called to follow up. I was told “oh we’re expecting those mattresses to come in tomorrow, let’s schedule a delivery date and they will call you the night before to confirm the time they will make the delivery”. We scheduled delivery and no one called to confirm the delivery time so I called back. Needless to say I kept getting the run around. Fast forward TWO MONTHS LATER and still no mattress. During which time I encountered VERY rude managers and employees it’s sickening. Three months later, we get our mattress and ITS THE WRONG MATTRESS!!!!! We called to inform them of their error only to encounter rude staff and management again! After many attempts to rectify the issue, we were stuck with this mattress that we can’t sleep on because it’s so uncomfortable. We have spread the word about the lack of customer service. Many of our friends/family have had similar issues and refuse to shop here. We should have listened. Again, this is only one of many issues we’ve had with Ashley and Regency Furniture. They seem to be the same company. The only customer service you will receive is when you are making a purchase. At the time of checkout, they ask for a five star review with the sales persons name listed in the review for incentive, then if you encounter an issue they couldn’t care less. Do not believe the five star ratings as they are based on false advertising and fake customer service up front. You should take your business to Haverty’s, at least they care and will provide TRUE customer service.

I'm still waiting on my furniture. I ordered it in April and now I was told it will be delivered in July. Had I known it would take this long, I would have ordered from some place else. Also, I don't like their payment process. They debit your credit card to hold the payment week after week. They said they don't charge it until after it is delivered but it will ping your card and hold the funds then decline and then hold the funds again. VERY ANNOYING! I will update my review once I get my furniture. Let's see how the delivery and assembling goes. 😔

BUYER BEWARE!! Very disappointed. Only reason they get 1 star is to rate WITH a comment. This is not Ashley but a franchise that bought the Ashley name and is delivering Regency furniture. I bought a $ 1689 firm mattress in June 2020, by December the mattress had 2 soft spots when weight is applied with a very firm center. After trying to get the mattress replaced a so called tech came out to assess the mattress. They did not do anything. My wife and I even turned over the mattress and slept on the bottom of the mattress. That gave us relief for 2 months. The mattress is garbage. We even contacted investigative reporter Susan Hogan at channel 4. They could not do anything because Ashley did not close our case. The pictures show two levels. The yellow level shows the mattress is level with no weight. The red level shows how the mattress sags with weight applied. You will see the bubble in the center of the level is not in the middle. Pictures show weight on the middle and each side. We called corporate for Ashley and were informed that the Ashley location was not a part of their corporation. All attempts at rectifying went through Regency Furniture in Waldorf. The mattress lasted 6 months. We got 😫 tired of the pains we are feeling because of the garbage mattress that we went out and purchased a good mattress from Havertys. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ASHLEY IT IS OWNED BY REGENCY FURNITURE. THEY ALSO OWN MARLO.

I was SO pleased when I walked out of Ashley furniture that leaving a review only made sense! I initially purchased my furniture in February and worked with Aziz. He was absolutely phenomenal. I told him what I was in search of and my budget and worked so diligently to make sure that I found what I needed. Well, there is no secret that ALL furniture stores are a bit behind on the delivery of out-of-stock products but after 11 weeks, I decided to call yesterday. I was greeted by a young lady named Jasmine on the phone. She was extremely professional as she shared my options with me. One of them being to come into the store to find an in-stock item and compete an exchange. Once I arrived to the store, Kiara was the sales rep that assisted me and OMG… I wanted to give her the biggest hug before leaving. She was patient, helpful and even gave some of her own personal input in helping me select my items. I felt like I was shopping with a friend and not being an annoying customer as I paced the floor for over an hour lol. It was time to check out and another young lady (who’s name I didn’t get but she had curly hair and sat up front) was so sweet and helpful as we wrapped my portraits (because yes, Kiara helped me pic a few wall pieces) and she assisted with carrying them to my car. I am very big on customer service! And it’s not often that you receive superior service from every singe team member and from beginning to end, but I did yesterday! Thank you to the Ashley Furniture team :)

Just purchased a mattress from Ashley Homestore located at the Ritchie Station Court, Capitol Heights, MD. The sales person Kimberly was a very helpful and pleasant person to work with. She did push the sale but explained fully all the details of the mattress and the purchase contact. I really enjoyed working with her. Ms Denise was also very helpful with the checking out process.

Hi, WOW after reading all the reviews and they were horrible not at just one store but all stores had bad reviews I know there's going to be a mixture of complaints and compliments but when you have more bad than good then the decision has already been made, I will not be shopping at Ashley furniture like I was going to do in the beginning bad customer service, late delivery, damage good's, nope I'm going to continue my search because customer service is vital to retail business of sorts and I need a new bdrmst...😱

I went to the Capitol Heights store during their Labor Day sale to buy a sofa. I was assisted by a salesman named Kevin Jacobs. He was very patient with me and did not do a "hard sale" on me. He answered all my questions (there were many) and took the time to make sure I was taken care of so I could make an informed decision. Because of Kevin's professionalism and patience, when I decided to buy my bedroom set it was a no brainer that I would once again go to the Capitol Heights store. Again, Kevin was very good and made my buying experience a pleasant one. I will definitely being returning this this location for all my future decorating needs. Salesman Mr. Jackson, was very helpful and kind. He and the Assistant Manager took the extra steps to needed to ensure we received our furniture that had been delayed for almost 5 months due to industry delays.
First I ordered a dining room set....& after taking so long I no longer liked the product so I canceled it. I then ordered dressers & a chair for my bedroom, along with a bookcase. After 2 months I had NOTHING! I then called to BEG for my order to get shipped because EVERYTHING but a single chair was in the warehouse WAITING for the chair to arrive before they would send. I finally got my dressers and bookcase, but the chair was not ready. It is now almost 5 MONTHS later and they are saying that my chair is STILL not ready...and possibly hasn't been even manufactured. They only thing they offered as a resolution was that "I could cancel for a refund" which still means I DON'T get the chair that I ordered back in September. The customer service is subpar and the care simply isn't there.

We had great experience in this location and especially working with the store manager Arsalan, he was helpful and accommodating and patient with our needs throughout our visits. We are very satisfied with our purchases of dining room table and our bed frame. My wife likes this Ashley location so much so that she was willing to drive an hour every time from Rockville to checkout their selections with her 8 months pregnant belly. They have more selection than any other store locations and they are always running some sort of promotions, plus their staff members are helpful. I recommend them.

First, let me say this," I never write a review!" I might leave a few Stars but I never take the time to write a review. However, Aziz's professionalism, HONESTY, and decorum , while helping me select furniture was second to none. He clearly knows his product and inventory and He never tried to force my hand for a sale. That was actually one of the factors that helped me make my decision . No one wants a pushy salesman or to regret what they purchased and I thank goodness I have had neither. However, Aziz and Ashley Furniture didn't stop helping me the day I purchased my items. Instead, they called and gave updates. Aziz even reached out to the shipping company on my behalf which is above the Call of Duty just to make sure that I got my items. As a single mom you appreciate all the help you get. I would like to thank Aziz his managers, and the whole Ashley Furniture team at Capitol Heights for working overtime to make sure that i recieved my order. Because of the quality customer service in the store, my mother already went to furnish her new den! Such respect and courtesy from a group of young people is both admirable and refreshing! We bought a new home and we been all over Ashley considering their good quality and great deals that always goes on, we had especially great experience at this location in every visit. RC, the store manager went above and beyond to make sure that we are introduced to all the furnitures kinds in store that meets our standards and requirements. We had to return an on display outdoor patio furniture and we RC was able to workout store credits for us by making exceptions. Overall, they have vast selection of furniture, warehouse is close to this location and staff members are always attentive and helpful. Worth checking out! And shout out to store manager for being so humble and helpful!!! 🙏🏻

I am so disappointed in this store. I bout furniture in August of 2021 and after waiting 4 months im told it will be July 2022 before I get it. I only bought the furniture because I was told it was in stock I just had to wait because of delivery issues which I was ok with and understood. I feel I was lied to. This is totally unexceptable
Still waiting on furniture that was purchased back in July. No updates, no one seems know when my items will be delivered, and thats only after I called several times. Was supposed to receive a call from the “manager”, who never called. I would definitely NOT recommend purchasing from this establishment.
The whole post sale was terrible. When they say its in stock it means they still have to make your furniture so 8-12 weeks on your receipt means thats how long it can take to be made VERY SHADY STAFF
I purchased a set of sofas at this particular location. I was told by (ARSALAN UDDIN) who say he was the store manager. That my items were going to arrive before thanksgiving. I purchased this items on 9/17/2021. And I am here still waiting for my damn sofas. I ask him several times are you sure my sofas are going to arrive before thanksgiving and he say yes they will. I have not even been contacted about my sofas. PLEASE NEVER BUY ANYTHING FOR THIS STORE OR TALK TO “ARSALAN UDDIN”) he will tell you, you will get your items on a date just to make the sale.
Today my husband & I decided 2 go furniture shopping. After an experience w/a salesperson at Regency Furniture (the sofa, chair & loveseat had ridiculous separate prices but he said he could get us a discount after I informed him the the Internet prices were cheaper. He then leaves us saying he'd be back & never returned after a wait of about 15 minutes) we went 2 the other end of the Mall center to Ashley's. We were greeted by a kind salesperson name Yusuf who took very good care of us. We purchased the same furniture Regency had for less than half the price. We're satisfied w/the purchase & the furniture.

Rushed into Ashley’s in Capitol Heights, MD today for the 60% off sale ONLY to find out that the prices on the furniture was already discontinued at 50% and you get an additional 10% off of the posted price. Hmmm so wrong & misleading! First salesman gave us misleading information so as we were about to leave we recognized someone who helped us a few months back & he in turn explained everything in detail of how the percentage works. Thanks to Aziz Jackson for being kind & professional with us. We made a purchase! The 4 stars is because of the misleading information from Ashley Furniture!!

But today I went there and it was a very disrespectful and very loud Customer there that was very nasty to a salesman that help me purchase my furniture his name is Yusuf a very nice guy and pleasant to work with.She and her husband blatantly disrespected him because there furniture had not been delivered yet which is completely arrogant of them Due to it being Covid19 furniture is on delay... there should be better precautions for the employees they should not have to deal with a customer's stupidity because of something they have no control over ... Ashley is a very nice store to shop at but certain customers make the store unattractive.

Beware… I ordered a sleeper sofa from this store on Dec. 28, 2020. First they said it’d arrive in March, then April, then May, then June, then July. Now here we are almost 9 months later, and they still can’t tell me when it will arrive. In store experience was wonderful. Friendly staff and great service, but post-purchase has been awfully disappointing.

Still no couch. Terrible customer service. Take your money elsewhere! Stay away! Don't do it to yourself! You will regret it! The purchase experience (Aziz was great) was the first and last good part of dealing with this store. Read other reviews before you make the same dumb mistake I did. Ordered sleeper sofa in April. Expected delivery this week. No update from store. So, I call about delivery day. "Your sofa won't be here until September 7th." That's 5 months! Two months longer than expected delivery. Ask for complaint department at corporate. Get transferred to Regency Furniture instead. Call back, no answer. Call online order for help. Get transferred to store "manager" to be told might be coming in on the 20th but probably September. Poor customer service and obviously not the best training system. Don't waste your time or money on the runaround after they have your money. They get to hold my money for 5 months. If I cancel at earliest time, I'll still have to wait 21 days to get a refund. Stay away!

I will not purchase another thing from this or any other Ashley Furniture store. We spent around $4,000.00 dollars at the store buying among other things two mattresses. When the mattresses arrived, 2 weeks later than promised, we did not like them as much as we did in the store and attempted to call them within 72 hours. No one answered the phone after several attempts. Once that period is off the company decided to tell us they could not return the mattresses unless they are defective. We called the corporate office and a very rude lady told me that comfort wasn't a reason to return the mattress. Do not waste your time and money. .
If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered by bed on May 19. I chose Ashley HomeStore because they said my bed would be delivered within 2-3 weeks. It has now been 6 weeks. I am due to give birth any day and have been needing a new bed since I placed my order. I received an email showing that my bed would be delivered on July 2. I received another email stating that my bed would be delivered on July 21, but that's not even a guarantee. I am so upset. Ashley HomeStore has lost my business for good. I hope they go out of business.
Sneaky sales person - told me my order would arrive in 2/3 weeks, it’s been almost 2 months, nothing. No call. No order update. Nothing, I call for an update and no one returns my calls. Called twice, 30 mins before store closes but phone just rings and rings. Is this good business? Besides that the store is modern and clean. Be sure your items are in stock, if not, go to another AFH. What silliness is this?
I am highly disappointed with this store. I ordered my bed on June 6 and was told it would take 2 weeks and it should be delivered but after a month I got nothing and I called them and they started to explain that my bed would be delivered in September, so I decided to cancel my order after I had payed about 1,651 for the bed and they said in order to cancel they would have to take 10% of the money I payed which was $200 and I got payed 1,451.52 instead of my full money. I am shocked and I so can't wait to see them lose their store
Never ever order anything from this company/store unless they confirm it is in stock, in the warehouse and ready to schedule for shipping. They will tell you week after week that your order is coming (it is never coming). They have no way to track your order and say that there isn’t anyone they can contact to locate an order that is three weeks beyond the longest delivery quote available. You will have to wait forever to get to a point where you can just get your money back. They sales people are nice, but never, ever again.
Literally the worst experience i have ever had with a company. It not only took me 5 months to receive my overpriced couch but they have been an issue from the very beginning. Between miscommunication in pricing, shipping me the wrong items and advising financing is free when in reality it’s not. I will NEVER shop at this store ever again. Please save your time and money. Do not shop at Ashley furniture!!

I had the most amazing experience with AB and Amari they were knowledgeable and the most professional retail associate I have ever dealt with in my life, kudos to ashley furniture for having these individuals. Cheaply made furniture sold at ridiculously high prices. Sales associates are more interested in hitting on the female customers and yelling to us from across the store. No thanks, you keep your unmasked face over there, I don't feel safe working with you anyway. Just avoid this place altogether.
The store was clean, full of inventory and lots of options to choose from. No shortage of staff and their location is convenient to all other shops and restaurants. Not too far from where I live. I Came in looking for Full Beds, Mr. Dylan helped me with pricing, delivery and insurance policy information. He was attentive, accurate and straight to the point. He speaks very clearly, professional and observed social distancing. Thank you for your service, greatly appreciated.

I ordered my daughters bedroom furniture on 12/2/20 along with her comforter. I was told her furniture would be delivered in 8-12 weeks. The comforter was to arrive 2 weeks after my initial purchase. Once it arrived at the store someone would call and notify me. That call never came. Finally I received a call about my daughters furniture. Her furniture was delivered on March 9th . When I inquired about the comforter, I was told a “glitch” in their system had marked that I had picked the comforter up. Well of course that did not happen. A “manager” got involved (though he never spoke to me) and allegedly the comforter was reordered and was supposed to be in on 3/31. I just called today and spoke with a young lady who advised it won’t be in till April 15th. If you can, avoid purchasing anything from this store.

i recently placed an order with them and my customer service with therlow, was great that’s why i’m giving it a 3 stars.The boxspring that they originally matched up with my bed didn’t fit so i had to get a replacement. instead of them calling me to replace the box spring i kept getting a hassle and then they kept telling me that i had to pay for a delivery fee on something that was bad on there end so since i told them i wasn’t paying a delivery fee they never put my order in and they even told me over the phone that the one i needed was in stock. i had to come all the way up to the store just to place a new order i was told it should be to me in 3 to 4 days. it’s week later i still don’t have it i called up to the store they telling me i have to wait 2 more weeks because it isn’t in stock and they have a 8-12 week waiting period. which is bs

We ordered a bedroom set 3-4 months ago and we received the bed yesterday after 3 months and still haven't received our dresser. Also they stated that they called multiple times so I thought maybe we just weren't getting the calls or just missing them but I experienced myself that they do not call you back when they say they are going to and we are furious.
Worst experience ever. I made purchase back in black Friday 2020, and the delivery date was supposed to be 10 to 12 weeks, up to now I received only a king bed out of 2 bedroom sets and an office. Every week i am calling and they push the date for a week or 2 and last time i called 2nd week of February they told me that half of my furniture is in the way to warehouse right now. And the rest will be received by the end of February so expect everything to be delivered first or second week of March. I called today to confirm they told me that none of my furniture received and they expect to receive it in April. Like really!! this is the worst experience plus customer service just told us there is nothing we can do for you.

I went to the Ashley store in Capital Heights in September of 2020 and purchased a dining room table and chairs, bar and bar stools and a bed. In October they delivered some of the chairs and the bar without the stools. Here we are in January of 2021 and still no table. They called me to say I can cancel the order so I go to the store and ask them when will they pick up the items that they delivered. The tell me I'm stuck with them and can't return them. They couldn't deliver my complete dining set, but I have to be stuck with some chairs that I can't do anything with.
Worst customer service possible and the employee was not wearing a mask. She kept removing it and smirked when I asked her to put it back on because it was making me uncomfortable. I had to cancel my order after waiting 3 months for my bedroom set that I paid for all upfront. Almost $5000. The manager works one day a week. No one can help. The worst experience.

Good stuff and very fair prices. I would definitely recommend if you don&'t care when you get products. Stuff &"in stock&" magically goes to back order after purchase and expected date of delivery is blown past with no end in sight. Covid can cause a lot of supply chain issues, not this debacle. And forget about customer service, email address on invoice are ignored as are other attempts at resolution. And you can&'t pull the lug and go elsewhere unless you want to start again, which is clear they count on. So go there if you have six months and don&'t care about customer service.
Purchased a couch a while back with a warranty on it. When I made the purchase the rude sales person asked for my I.D. after I handed her my credit card to pay for the couch. I was a little offended by that. Less than a year later the cushions on the couch start to wear down and when I asked them for an exchange they gave me the runaround and referred me to another place. I called them and they were no help. Their customer service is trash and the people that work there probably don&'t want to be there at all. The quality of the furniture is low. Don&'t shop here. Avoid it like the plague.
I had a good experience with the store overall. Everyone was very polite and helpful. My issue is with the company itself. My wife and I only made a purchase because the delivery time was 2-6 weeks. We felt that was reasonable given we were buying in July and there was a backlog due to covid. After 8 weeks, we called only to be told we would have to wait until the end of October. When October came, we were told the beginning of November. Called today and was told December 20th. We have since found furniture in other stores that is in stock, but Ashley will not let us have a refund. We have been told we can cancel for store credit only, but will have to pay a restocking fee. What they are restocking I have no idea. Nothing against the store in Capitol Heights. Not their fault. They are just telling customers what they are hearing from corporate. But I won't be doing business here any longer. I just hope whenever the furniture arrives it is in perfect condition or we might have to wait another 6-12 months for a replacement.

Love the fact that the store was clean and everyone was prioritizing health and wearing masks during this pandemic. We searched many stores for our living room set and Ketta (sales associate) and Lawrence (general manger) spent a lot of time with us educating us on what pieces would be the best for our family. They also educated us on leather vs upholstery and bonded leather pieces and the wear and tear of it all. They also gave my husband and I space to discuss what we wanted to go with. I absolutely love customer service and that&'s exactly what we got. A lot of people are concerned with getting their pieces in time due to COVID. Although we are in no rush for everything to be delivered they even worked to ensure us on when our couches would arrive. Unfortunately if the warehouse miscommunicates it looks bad on the sales team but it&'s not their fault so go easy on them future buyers! They are worth working with.

My shopping experience here has been very pleasant. I worked with Sherlow (if I am spelling his name correctly) on the purchase of a bedroom set for my daughter. He was very helpful and courteous but not pushy to the point you feel uncomfortable and compelled to make a purchase. I did leave and look around at other furniture stores. I returned here to finalize my purchase and feel I received good quality for a far better price on the bedroom set. I&'m very pleased with my overall purchase.
I placed an order July 7th. I was told that it would be 2-6weeks for delivery, but that would be worse case. It is now September 7th and I still DO NOT have my purchase!!! The worse part of it all is Ashley has not contacted me. Every time that I have received any information about my order, I have reached out to the store, one time getting a little attitude from one of the young lady&'s that answered the phone. At this point I&'m really close to cancelling my order but I feel like I&'ve waited this long, it shouldn&'t be much longer. I understand that everything is backed up due to COVID, the fact is the store lacks customer service. Doesn&'t take much to keep people updated about paid for purchases. I called today and now my couch won&'t be available until October 13th! Absolutely ridiculous!! At least update people with such extreme waits and delays. 6weeks has now turned into 8-12weeks. SMH.

I purchased my living room set 6 weeks ago and during the waiting period I called to follow up and verify the delivery date 3 times. I was told 3 different times the furniture would be delivered this week. I called today to find out that my order was never processed and my furniture won&'t be delivered for another 6 weeks. I spoke with Jon Holder who provided no help and could careless. The customer service is awful. I would not recommend purchasing furniture from this store.
Update: Well this all started off great until the delivery came about. Clearly this store wasn't being honest about the delivery date I was assured of because now I have to wait an additional 2 weeks of my bed/mattress to arrive. I wasn't even given the courtesy of a simple phone call stating that my bed would be delayed and I had to call them twice just to find out additional details of the new delivery date. The communication at this store in my experience is not up to par which is unfortunate.
Thurlow was a great salesmen and everyone in the store delivered great customer service but the delivery people left a mess in my bedroom!

The customer service at the store was great...but the furniture and bogus protection is a rip off. The frame broke, not sure how but needless to say that warranty and protection can't do anything to help...a compelte waste of money.... will never buy ever again.

I've been trying to get my money back from this Ashley's Furniture since June 23rd, and I still have not recieved it. For the last couple of weeks, I've been going there to try to talk with them to see what's going on with my refund. Multiple times going on the phone, calling them, and in person to solve this problem. Their customer service is very poor during this process, as well as having the manager John being very disrespectful! I don't appreciate the tone nor the yelling that was done to me by that man. They have lied plenty of times that they have mailed it to me since the 23rd like I've stated before, and it is still not here. I have given them multiple chances to give me my money and now I have to think about taking further action. Luckily I have proof where I documented the calls, and their "claimed" delivery dates of when my refund will come on the 7th, the 15th, the 23rd, and the 30th of July. Nothing has came up in my mail yet after checking for months! Please, be aware of this Ashley's Furniture! Have a blessed day!
The sales person, Kevin, that greeted me at the store was very pleasant and professional. He did not pressure me and allowed me to browse the store on my own. He made sure he was available if I had any questions. Once i decided on my furniture he let me know that there could be a delay in delivery up to 6 weeks. My items arrived much sooner than the original delivery date and I am very pleased with how everything turned out.
We ordered furniture in the beginning of June. Lady told us it would be delivered ASAP. We moved into our new home and still no furniture. I called so many times and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. We finally went to the store in Columbia MO to find out what was going on. The woman just talked in circles. First she told us to order the furniture there and cancel our order and maybe we will everything sooner then. Than she said it looks like you will get your couch 7/22. Well its 7/22 and still haven't heard a thing. Don't buy anything from Ashley's.
It started good until I wanted it delivered. I was promised a delivery time but was only promised for the sale. My delivery was promised pre-covid but because the sales representative over promised and under delivered, we were not able to receive our item. When I called to cancel, we were informed that we could not cancel because we had to be in the store, which was closed because of covid. After months were we finally were able to head into the store. Once in the store the manager attempt to cheat me on the refund with slick talking but after a short discussion, we were forced to forfeit 10% of the cost instead of 30%. Be weary before entering this establishment.

Ordered furniture on May 17 and never received NOT ONE phone call NOT ONCE about delivery status. after calling several times and several changes now It&'s been over 8 weeks and my furniture is finally in the warehouse and they can&'t fit me in the cue to deliver this weekend!! This company will not receive another penny from me. Upon my arrival to the location I was greeted by Yaketta who was seemingly professional and extremely helpful. We selected a couch and were ready to purchase. Some how, Yaketta was able to give us a "deal" and included the 5 year protection plan at no additional cost. After everything was paid for, it was time to schedule delivery. It was then that they miraculously realized the couch was out of stock. I don't believe for one second, that they didn't realize until after my money was received that the couch was out of stock. Yaketta then reassured me that while delivery can take up to 6 weeks but it should only take about 2. Well, here were are, 5 weeks from the purchase date of a $2700 couch. I have called customer service several times and they continue to hang up on me. This company would receive zero stars if it were possible. Never again.
The salesman (Mr. Therlow Foy Jr.) was very helpful and very professional in the way he handles business. The delivery guys were on time with my delivery and they set things up rather quickly. I have no complaints.

I've known Arsi for about 5 years now, since he sold me my bedroom set when he worked in Falls Church. Seen him back in Capital Heights where he blessed me with my bedroom set and office furniture. Came inn found a couple pieces I wanted to buy from my house, found something I loved, sales price was 5300, I told aziz my salesperson I wanted to spend less than five. He talked to the manager Arsalan and he did that for me and gave me two years interest free financing !! Will definitely come back.

I went in today needing furniture for my new apartment. Sam was fantastic and had great customer service. He was not overbearing and gave his honest opinion on a couple of bedroom sets I was looking to buy. Additionally, Sam made sure that I was completely satisfied and did his best to ensure that I was happy with my purchase. The office manager, Briana, was also exceptional and clear communicated what I was ordering to make sure there were no errors. It&'s rare to find good customer service where they make it all about pleasing the customer. I will definitely be back in the future.

As soon as my family and I walked into Ashley Furniture on Capitol heights, Malique greeted us and told us he was going to be our sales representative. I liked the fact that he wasn't following us and gave us the freedom to look around and then checked on us from time to time. Once we made our decision, he was able to give us great prices for everything that we bought. He explained our guarantee for everything, and I was very satisfied with the service in all. Very clean and organized store. I can't wait for my furniture to arrive!!
My daughter and I went into the store to search for bedroom furniture for her. We literally stopped in on Super Bowl Sunday and only had 30 minutes as we awaited our take out order across the street. But since we were so close and spent numerous hours online, we had to go in. We were pleasantly met by Valerie who guided us to the proper show room area. She was not overbearing but right there to answer questions. She did not push but gave her honest opinions on the products of interest. Didn't buy on Sunday but going back when Valerie is on the floor to review our favorites and make a final purchase. Customer Service is everything!!!! And Valerie added to the wonderful merchandise offered by Ashley Furniture.

My wife brought a couch from Ashley and found out later after I took the measurement that it would not fit so we look on line for another because the store didn't have a smaller one. first of all the prices that they quote on the internet is far from the price they are in the store . A couch was 700.00 on line but when I went to buy it they want 1.200 so we wanted a refund they said ok np. So while wait for our refund we get a call wanting to know when would we like the couch delivered OMG. So we call the corporate store and they said it does not show us wanting a refund OMG again. I will never go back to that store or any other

I had a really bad experience with them. Depending on the sales agent, you will get different prices for the same product, some will try to give you a higher price. For example, one tried to sale me the 5 year protection plan for $300, while the other representative sold it to me for $100. What was worst of all was their delivery. I purchased couches on 11/29/19. They told me the estimated delivery date was 12/23/19 to 12/29/19. They said they would call me to set up the deliver to my house, they never did. I had to call them every single time. I called after those dates and they told me that the delivery date had been pushed back. I called back after that date was passed and they told me again that it had been pushed back. On the seventh week I just couldn’t take it anyone and decided to cancel my order. Turned out that they had to charge me a 10% cancellation fee because they reserve the right to up to 8 weeks to deliver your couches, which is not stated in the contract of the back of the receipt, it only stated “in their computer system”. So I cancelled the order on 1/11/20 and they charged me $270 and I got no couches. Morale of the story, I will never be stepping foot in this store ever again.
We found a couch and loveseat set we liked, but they have changed the delivery date 4 times. We have now been waiting almost 2 months since ordering and we still don't have what we ordered. Hopefully this will be the last time, but this latest delay, they scheduled a delivery date during a mandatory inventory period (which they should have known about), then sent an email on a Sunday when there was no customer care open to reschedule (again...). I might update the review when we get delivery, but if it doesn't happen this time, we will be going elsewhere for our needs. Make sure you don't need delivery if you order from Ashley.

Came to shop for my new home in Westphillia on Black Friday and received more instant assistance and great deals for everything I needed. Was able to find what I needed, receive all details on my purchases, and good communication throughout the process from ordering and delivery. Will come back for furniture for other rooms in my home when I&'m ready again because they always have deals going on!

Each time I asked him a question regarding price; measurements; availability and color he had to return to the computer to obtain the information. Then he wrote the information on a very small post it note. It took much longer to obtain a pen as he disregarded me standing right in front of him as he was playful with his colleagues and not welcoming to me. He was dress very professional but his customers service was not on the same level as his dress attire. I walked around the entire store and no one asked if they could help me. I had recently visited Marlo furniture which is very close to Ashley's location. My experience at Marlo was a totally delightful. The sales person's name at Marlo is name "Q". He gives 5 star customer service. Many should be strive to provide the same. I will visit another Ashley's Store location or contact Marlo to purchase my selection and will encourage my family members to do the same.
I wish I would've read the reviews before going. I am still waiting for my bed since 11/16. They won't call you after you make a purchase. I had to call them. After I receive a bill, I decide to call again and was told my bed would be delivered 12/24. So, I painted this weekend and removed the old bed this morning. Only to call back and be told "I don't know who told you that you was getting your bed before christmas because I think it's actually a back order" and this was a manager that I was talking to. She has no clue what's going on. She said that she will call me back but I won't hold my breath. I want a refund but they want to inconvenience me even more by telling me that I have to come in. And bet it takes over a week for a refund. They have spoiled my xmas. I AM SUPER MAD!

This has been the worst experience with delivery. They are well over the 2-6 weeks delivery timeframe. I hosted Chrismas party and seems to be Chrisltmas dinner without my new furniture. This is unacceptable, and unprofessional for a business to conduct business as such. I dont recommend Ashley, because of their accountability for their timeframe.

This is is the most disappointing company I have ever dealt with. In September I was there to buy a couch. The power went out multiple times. But we stayed there for at least two hours just so we could order the couch and make sure everything was right. The systems kept restarting so the next day my husband drove there to order the couch. It was a different person that ordered the couch. And they ordered the chaise on the wrong side. When we specially said we wanted the opposite side of the what the one was in the store. We waited almost 4 weeks for the couch. Mind you, we just bought our first home and we had no furniture. When we got it delivered it was wrong. So we were just going to pay the return fee. I called the day it was delivered and the lady on the phone said she will reorder it. 3 weeks later I heard nothing so I called back to ensure it was ordered and they said yes. 2 weeks later I called and they said yes it’s still coming it’s just taking awhile. THEN a week later I was fed up with waiting and I called and they said there was never an order placed for the right couch. I spoke to the manager and she said the store manager would call us. Then the store manager never called us back so we called and he said it was the first time hearing about it and he would email corporate. I mean I even said I would show him my phone calls to this store. It’s been almost three weeks and we still have not heard back. Of course I didn’t. So not only did their employees lie on the phone saying they ordered the couch, I’m stuck with a couch that I don’t want. It’s pretty sad that this is my first experience buying my first couch for my first house and it doesn’t even fit in my house. Thanks Ashley for making this experience awful!
Ashley did not honor Marlo's credit refund as previously informed and I was told to go back to Marlo's...should have been handled inhouse.

I recently purchased my first set of couches on Black Friday and I’m thankful for the help I received from Therlow Foy Jr. This team member made me feel at ease with my decision and was very knowledgeable on the items being sold at this location. I went in with my mind set on just one sleeper couch and ended up getting an entire set with my sleeper included for such a great price. Therlow was very patient while I went back in forth in my decision. Even made a few phone calls to others for support and he was still patient. Thank you Ashley furniture for having a great warranty program that did inquire about right away. I would definitely recommend this location and business to other. I’m truly Thankful!😃

Folks, don't shop here. Very, very poor customer service after you make a purchase. They don't return phone calls. They straight out lie. The salesman, Sam, the site manager, RC, the front desk Kiera, all have failed. Again, don't shop here at all for anything.
Furniture is poor quality. I was told that my sofa was in the warehouse but they will not deliver it because it was on a different order with my dinning room chairs which I didn't get for 7 weeks. I was not given a window of time of when my dinning room chairs would be delivered so I missed the delivery, and when I called there dispatch I was told that a rep called and left a message for my time window. Which was a lie..no one called and left a message..and I'm still waiting for my dinning room chairs. When they delivered my sofa mattresse after I threatened to cancel my order and get my money back they delivered it with a spring mattress in stead of a foam mattress. They tried to basically trick me with a switcheroo..never have I had these many problems with any company..almost 7 weeks since I paid $3,000 and I still haven't got my dinning room chairs..and buy the way all 3 major furniture companies are all own by the same person..so good luck going somewhere else
Although I love my furniture, It has been truly a nightmare dealing with this company as a whole. i moved into my first apartment in march and I placed a order from this company in JANUARY to deliver my furniture towards the END of MARCH. Can you believe when my furniture was delivered half of it had to go back. Ridiculous! and I had a event at my home that day that required all my furniture. So i reach out to corporate and it took them almost a month to redeliver part of my furniture and over a month to redeliver a seat cushion. I had to reach out to the corporate office for some type of compensation for all the troubles and instead of applying a credit to my bill they issued me a $75 gift card that expires in 6 months. I mean really, what can I do with $75 at a furniture store.... I go to use the gift card online and come to find out they do not accept gift cards online. I was confused cause i AM LIKE WHAT WAS THE POINT OF ISSUING A GIFT CARD IF I CANT USE IT ONLINE. So i had to go to at least 3 different stores to find the items I want. One location finally had it and they tell me it is available for pick up on a specific day. I call that specific day and they tell me I have to wait another week for my order to arrive. I just cant win with this company. They definitely lost a customer.
Was very disappointed that it would take 2-6 weeks to receive furniture. I discarded by coach Saturday before Veteran's Day and need furniture now. Had to cancel my order.

I went to Ashley last week to purchase a bedroom suite and tempur-pedic mattress with an adjustable base because I heard they were the best. My sales person Sean was extremely helpful with assisting in my decision making. I was turned off when I saw an employee sleeping and other employees talking loudly and cursing. Because of that I didn't buy, I went to mattress firm. Hopefully when I visit Sean again there will be a more professional environment.
Yusuf was great help and I really appreciated the helpfulness and honesty as I was fairly uneasy when it came to buying a sofa. This store had staff that was ready to help at all times and is a lot better than some of the other furniture stores I&'ve been to.

On Sunday September 1 2019 my son and i went to Ashley Homestoe .and the sale person name Alexis Todd was very nice and helpful.i enjoy him being our sales person
This rating is specific to my experience with the corporate office and warehouse regarding merchandise purchased from this location. I waited 4 weeks for shipment of a 3 piece table and end table set. I picked it up at the warehouse. When we opened it, one of the legs were broken. The leg was still in the factory shrink wrap, which leads me to believe it was packed in the broken state. I called the store and was directed to customer service where I was chastised for not opening the 70 lb box that they loaded in the truck to ensure that every shrink wrapped piece was not damaged. I was then told I had 72 hours to get back to the warehouse for them to "inspect" the damage(48 hours had already elapsed). The inspection hours are from 9am-4pm. My husband took off from work early and we arrived at the warehouse only to be told everyone is at lunch fro 12:30 to about 2:15. Last time I will ever spend a dime at Ashley Furniture or Regency Furniture. Unfortunate since the staff was very friendly.
Ashley furniture - is a waste of time and money. I Was promised to get my furniture that week but instead I didn't get my sofa till 6 weeks later. After 3 months with my sofa I had to call Ashley to use the warranty. They took 2 weeks to call me back. Once they did it was a calling machine that called me and I had to wait 25 min. Once I was able to speak to a Physical person, all the person told me is that there are no current appointment available. So the company called me, to tell me, that they could not help me, till possibly the following month. The company that called me is not even Ashley Furniture. DON'T BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone in the store was amazing. Aziz the lead sales person is the best. He took his time explaing everything in detail. I came in to buy an accent chair and ended up buying a whole leather sofa. From beginning to end the customer service fron Kiera and all the administrative team were great. Manager was friendly and engaging. I went to purchase a bed and I was expecting the worse. Soon as I entered the store I was pleasantly greeted by Kevin. He helped me all the way through from looking to picking out bed and mattress. I saw the price and I was ok with it but once the sales discounts hit. I wanted to cry. I will definitely be coming back and referring friends and family. The store was so clean and organized.
this review is directed at the actual website not the store. I ordered a dining bench with corner chair. It arrived in two separate shipments. Upon inspecting it when it arrived, I found that the color was significantly different from what was online. I've been trying for a week now to return these 2 items. No one EVER answers the customer care line. In all the times I've called, I've gotten ONE human being after being on hold for over an hour! I've called several times mind you. Each time the wait is extensive and I just end up hanging up. When I finally got in touch with a person, she scheduled for UPS to pick up and return the packages. UPS showed up but didn't take the packages since no one was home to sign off. I was not informed that anyone needed to be home, only that the packages should be left outside. I've tried to call Ashley again to just have a return label sent to me so i can just ship it myself. Of course, no one answers the freakin' line! This is so frustrating. A return shouldn't be this hard! I will never order from them again. If this is any indication of customer service overall, you'll never see me in the store either.

I found a sectional sleeper and a dining set that I want on my phone/online. I wanted to go to the store to actually see what the sectional looks like/the quality. So I decided I like it and also chose a coffee table/ottoman piece, too. When I got to the front of the store, the saleswoman directed me to the manager. Then the problem started. He told me that the online store is different from him. He told me that he does not match prices exactly even though it says on his documentation that the store matches prices. Then he told me that I have to pay my taxes up front and I cannot finance the taxes. So my furniture total was $2174 when I bought it online but when I bought it in the store, it was over $2300. I went ahead with the purchase but when I got outside, I looked at how much it was online and it was over $100 cheaper. So I went back in and told the manager to refund my money. He then told me he would match the online price. I declined. His customer service was TERRIBLE.

The worst furniture store on earth. I can't even begin to describe how dissatisfied I was by their customer service and their cheap furniture. They take your money and never deliver. The furniture was delivered 4 months after I had paid for it, got damaged 3 months after it was delivered. Thwy picked it up for repairs, promising it will take a week or less. Over one month later, I haven't received my couch, they claim it cannot be repaired and I have to wait another 4 to 6 weeks for them to replace it.
Super nice service but horrible results! I came here to buy a bed and mattress because I knew my furniture wouldn't be here for weeks! I ordered my bed and mattress (not to mention paid $3100) on the day I arrived. I was told the mattress (the most important purchase) would be here in a week. Well, it's been four weeks, and I'm barely getting it. And I was supposed to get the frame too, but now I find out that the foot board has been "damaged" and now I have to wait longer for my bed! This is absurd! They clearly only care about making "the sale", and not about the customer! (Whom they're making their commission off of)!
Stupid people work for this company, they are total idiots and morons. Was contacted by some jackass recruiter to travel every day to Jersey for 2 weeks to train to sell furniture when they should have offered to put me up in a motel during the week instead of having to travel 5 or 6 hours back and forth from my home to Jersey every day for 2 weeks! Stupid people and very cheap also.
The worse customer service ever. I purchased a dinning room, it took 4 weeks to have it scheduled for delivery. I finally get a call from a customer service rep (that should be changed to customer service rudeness expert) named Madison. She was rude and unhelpful. She couldn't find a good date to have the furniture delivered, so she has the nerve to say. Well Ashley Furniture HomeStore doesn't care, and I had purchased the dining set. She then said I couldn't speak to a manager about my experience, my best bet was to leave a yelp review. How sad is that. I hope someone sees this review and never buys from that store again.

Update:My furniture was delivered as per the promised date. Interestingly, the furniture was delivered in a Regency Furniture truck.The delivery men were wonderful. However, the mattress was not to our satisfaction. It was too soft. Now prior to me ordering the mattress, I asked how long would be have to test the mattress. The manager told me 30 days. Because we are renovating we, didn&'t sleep on the bed right away because I knew we had a cushion. Three weeks we slept on the bed and it was way too soft for my husband. So I called the store and was told I passed the return date. I called the corporate office which by the way, is actually Regency Furniture in Brandywine. I also found out that Ashley Furniture HomeStore is separate from <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2FAshleyfurniture.com&s=86b15740c81e47d769f9fa03268f098b38c7dc5c964ef74963fb26fc6f54703e" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Ashleyfurniture.com</a>. The rep advised me that mattresses were not returnable. I asked for a manager and was told they were not aloud to transfer calls to the manager. After a whole bunch of back and forth, I left a message for the manager to call me back. Less than five minutes later the rep called me back and advised that although the store manager had had incorrectly advised me, they would honor an exchange. We picked out another bed and received it. It went fairly smooth. I commend corporate office for making good on the store manager incorrect statements to me. However, I will NOT be buying from this store again, especially not this location.

I bought some furniture at a different outlet a few months ago and wanted to add to my collection. It was decent. My experience of both locations is that the service kinda vacillates from being overly attentive to inaccessible. But so far I like my purchases.

I had an idea of what I wanted and he took me around and showed me what was available. I'm an senior citizen and to have a young man who had patience, kind, professional and knowledgeable about the bedroom furniture that I was looking for worked well for me. Yes, I did purchase a bedroom set. I purchased this set for my granddaughter but I will be back requesting Mr. Jackson's assistance when I'm ready to purchase a loveseat and chair for my home. Purchase furniture 4/12 called and cancelled 4/17 and these people telling me that i have to pay 10% of the cost for cancellation. They don't tell you this upfront they fixed their smile with discounts and financing and neglect to tell you about the cancellation or any fees associated -horrible DO NOT SHOP HERE AND TAKE NO DISCOUNT GO TO PLACES WITH THE SAME QUALITY FOR WAY LESS
I wish I could give Ashley zero stars; however, that option was not available. On March 1, 2019, I ordered the Coralayne dining room set with two extra chairs. The set was delivered on April 2, 2019, but one of the chairs was broken. I refused to accept the chair because it came broken and worked with the customer service department to receive a replacement chair. It is now April 23, 2019 and I am still waiting to receive this chair. In addition, after making a call to the customer service department about the chair, I realized another chair was missing a crystal. Initially, I was told a replacement chair would be delivered along with the other chair; however, I was later blamed for not meticulously inspecting my furniture to find the crystal upon initial delivery. Therefore, I was told I would only receive a replacement chair for the one that came broken and they would mail me a crystal, at which point I would have to call the customer service department to have someone come and put the crystal on the chair. During this whole ordeal, I have made several trips to Ashley HomeStore to speak with the store manager and multiple calls to the customer service department, and I have never experienced such horrible customer service like this before. Needless to say, I will never shop here again.
I wish I could give Ashley zero stars; however, that option was not available. On March 1, 2019, I ordered the Coralayne dining room set with two extra chairs. The set was delivered on April 2, 2019, but one of the chairs was broken. I refused to accept the chair because it came broken and worked with the customer service department to receive a replacement chair. It is now April 23, 2019 and I am still waiting to receive this chair. In addition, after making a call to the customer service department about the chair, I realized another chair was missing a crystal. Initially, I was told a replacement chair would be delivered along with the other chair; however, I was later blamed for not meticulously inspecting my furniture to find the crystal upon initial delivery. Therefore, I was told I would only receive a replacement chair for the one that came broken and they would mail me a crystal, at which point I would have to call the customer service department to have someone come and put the crystal on the chair. During this whole ordeal, I have made several trips to Ashley HomeStore to speak with the store manager and multiple calls to the customer service department, and I have never experienced such horrible customer service like this before. Needless to say, I will never shop here again.
Shante and Sam were great! I was a bit apprehensive about using this store based on the current reviews, but ended up pleasantly surprised. Sam was knowledgeable about furniture and pricing and Shante was clear and friendly when explaining what happens next. I would recommend them without hesitation. I haven't experienced delivery and assembly yet, but I will update once that is complete. Sidenote - the store is having an awesome sale. Stop in before the end of next week.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE!!!!!! OR THIS COMPANY!!!! (PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE)I&'ve just been on the phone for 3 hours back and fourth from this location and the corporate office to try to get an issue resolved that was THEIR FAULT TO BEGIN WITH. Nobody was trying to help me and after corporate kept telling me to call this location.. this location kept telling me to call corporate. Both said there is nothing they could do and had me calling back and fourth like a dummy. Once corporate told me one last time to call this location... this location then blatantly started to IGNORE my phone calls. I know this because I called from a different number and they finally answered. &"Corporate&" isn&'t even corporate it&'s just a micro corporate office and the other &"corporate&" office tells you there is nothing they can do about an issue because it&'s up to the locations corporate office... WHAT?!?!They don&'t care about their customers at all. it&'s so sweet and dandy when you&'re in the store and after purchase it&'s a living hell. They&'re money hungry monsters who don&'t care about what you have to say or about your complaints EVEN IF ITS THEIR FAULT. Thank you so much Andre who finally resolved my issue and listened to what I had to say. Jackie, Janet or Janice or whatever your name is in the corporate office who had the biggest attitude with me and said she didn&'t want to talk to me anymore for me CALMLY explaining my situation... you should be fired. I said what I said. Worst customer service I&'ve ever experienced in my entire life from her. P.S. get a new customer service team and check the people who were there from 3pm-6pm apr 16th who were no help at all and ignored my calls on purpose. From beginning to end my husband and I experienced nothing but exceptional experience. Prince, Shante and RC got the job done. I told them what I needed, what I was looking for, the money I was working with and they made it happen. I will never go to another furniture store again for my needs. Thanks Prince for your professionalism as our sales rep. When I called and needed him ASAP for a 2nd time he told me that he was on his way to work and to come on in and he would take care of me. He did just that. Thanks Shante for your professional Customer Service Support in store and on the phone both times. Last but not least thanks to RC for your professionalism shown both times that I came into your store. You showed what a real Store Manager is made of. Furniture is over priced
Stylish furniture however quality was not so good. Getting a delivery issue resolved was a nightmare, corporate said they could not resolve issue because I made an in-store purchase. Store manager could care less about helping me when in fact his delivery/install team were the ones to blaime for damaging my product during delivery. Customer service staff starts ticket process claiming you will get a call in 5 business days however I waited a little over a week & received no call from service center as promised. After consistently calling customer service line over & over I was assisted by someone in service center soon after one of my other furniture items becomes damaged and was told it will not be covered. I'm aware Ashley's Furniture is dominating the furniture world right now but this does not give you all the right to provide such poor customer service and give customers the run around. For this reason I will not be returning to this store for my future purchase as planned, let alone any other Ashley's location, it's just not worth the headache!
One star is really too good for this location. Firstly, the prices in their store make no sense. Saw a couch for $1,170 with 50% off but yet was quoted $899 (not including delivery, taxes, or extended warranty) ...Secondly, make sure that if you do make the mistake of ordering from this location that you are specific in the color they're placing the order for. Thirdly, keep in mind that they use 3rd parties to deliver merchandise...a 3rd party, in which nor you, the 3rd party store, or Ashley will be able to get a hold of if things go wrong. Fourthly, expect to not be contacted, compensated, and/or accommodated for your inconvenience and wrong or non delivery of merchandise. In fact, the purchaser should expect to have to compensate Ashley a 30% restocking fee for Ashleys mistake...again, no accommodation whatsoever. I am unsure if this is a reflection of all Ashley furniture facilities, but I can assure you I don't plan to find out. I will never step foot in his place again and would not suggest anyone else to either. I will be taking my business to Bob's Discount Furniture store for any future furniture purchases...
If I could give this establishment ZERO stars I would!! In my opinion, the customer service is seriously lacking and the employees are beyond unprofessional. Just looking at all of the posted reviews confirms that others agree. I specifically asked about the return/exchange policy when I purchased a box spring and mattress on February 18, 2019 and I was told I had three days to exchange the mattress and box spring. I made my decision to purchase based off of this information. Additionally, when I was given the paperwork for signature, I looked over the policies listed, and nowhere does it state that mattresses and box springs are not exchangeable. I immediately called the Capitol Heights store and inquired about exchanging the box spring upon delivery. I was told on March 5, 2019 that I could exchange the box spring and I was instructed to call customer service when they opened at 10:00 am the next morning. The next morning I called customer service and was given a totally different policy. When I later spoke to the manager, Ansalan, regarding the discrepancy, he stated that he "would not have said I had 3 days to exchange/return the mattress/box spring"; so basically he called me a liar. He further stated "that the policy is that you have 30 days to return/exchange the mattress under a 30 day test guarantee, and the policy is through Serta, and it does not apply to the box spring. " Naturally, I looked up the Serta 30 day policy and called Serta (at this point I don't trust any information given to me by Ashley Homestore). According to Serta, their 120 in home trial applies to BOTH the foundation (box spring) and the mattress. AGAIN I was given misinformation by Ashley Homestore. However, now the issue is whether I can even apply the guarantee since Ashley Homestore is a third party. One would think Ashley Homestore would not mention a return/exchange policy that doesn't apply to their purchases??? Do yourself a favor and avoid this location at all costs! In my opinion they have questionable business practices and they don't even know their own policies! I personally will NEVER do business with this establishment again!

Do not purchase anything from this store and do not throw additional money out the window by purchasing their "protection plan." First it's not Ashley doing the actual work. They sell your info to another company named GBS and they are responsible for repairs. Nothing I hate more than buying a service and product from company A and then finding out company B is actually doing the work and YOU the buyer are on your own to schedule and follow up with a company you have never dealt with. It's a shady way of doing business. GBS is horrible and they go out of their way to avoid providing the service you purchased. Ashley shrugged their shoulders and could care less.

Horrible experience. My wife and I went here to purchase a table and chairs. The store associate greeted me near the entrance with "what up my man". I stopped him to explain that my name is not "my man". Then, the store associate talked over me so I politely asked to speak with the manager. Another associate nearby responded that "The manager is over there smoking a cigarette". I walked toward the manager and he was indeed smoking a cigarette, with the door opened on the side of the store. (hopefully the cigarette smoke doesn't get into the furniture they sell) Anyway, I explained that the associate was unprofessional (referring to me as "my man"), and the manager just blew smoke out the side of his mouth and did not really care. Manager seemed agitated that I was complaining- Maybe because I was interrupting his smoke break?? The look on the managers face as he blew smoke was enough to make sure I never go there again. The manager was a heavy set white dude and was very agitated to receive a complaint during his smoking. I would recommend going somewhere else for all of your furniture needs. Particularly, if you are a hardworking professional in the DMV area looking for decent furniture, and ordinary respect as you shop. You work too hard to be treated the way I was. . Because of this, my wife and I left the store without purchasing anything. Bottom line is that they have no respect for customers and they would rather smoke.
I am soo upset that I did not read these reviews before I purchased from this location last week. I feel that my experience is not going to be much different from the rest. There was so may signs that I should not have ordered from here. My sales rep was Dena, in which she was nice and knowledgeable. I came in to look at the mattress, that I was thinking about purchasing from another online retailer, however I wanted to see the mattress in person, so I chose to go to Ashley Furniture. The price was good so I ultimately ordered if from here. Sign 1-In the mist of my transaction, one of the customer service reps at the desk, displayed a very nasty attitude. So nasty, in fact I think the manager should have addressed it right them. She had an issue with one person, and was taking it out on everyone else. I also wanted to purchase a desk and chair that I saw on ashleyfurniture. com. They didn't have it in the store, however I was able to add it to my order. I was told it would take approximately 2 weeks to receive my order. Sign 2-I was told that the desk and chair would take longer, and did I want to wait to receive everything at one time, because only 1 delivery would be free. They second part of my order would be charged a fee. That's ridiculous. So of course, I chose to receive it all at one time. I asked how long did I have to cancel my order, if I changed my mind. I was told 3 days. And if I didn't' like the desk I could refuse the order when they deliver it. I thought about my order overnight, and realized that I needed to know, how long did I have to return the bed if I wasn't satisfied with it. I also, noticed that my address was wrong on the receipt. So I went to the store the next day. Sign 3 - I was told I only had 3 days to test the mattress. 3 days to decide if I was comfortable with the bed was unacceptable to me!!! She had me speak to the manager (John) and he told me 30 days. Okay that sounds better. I also noticed that the desk and chair was cheaper online, so I asked if I could receive the price difference. They said they could, but bear in mind that when you order online you are charged a $150. 99 delivery fee (A LIE). Basically, They are trying to say that I'm still getting a better price, because they are not charging a delivery fee. Okay so fast forward to yesterday, I go online and go through all the steps to place an order for the mattress, desk and chair. The desk and chair is free shipping. . . . not until I added the mattress did the $150. 99 delivery fee show up. So back to the store once again. The same manager was there. I told him that there was no fee for the desk/chair, there was only a fee for the mattress. He kept telling me it was. So I asked if I ordered a piece of furniture for $100. 00 that ashleyfurniture. com would charge me $150. 99?? He said yes. Don't make sense, do it. He also said, that if he changed my order to give me the price difference, and put the reason, "price difference"-the system would automatically charge me $150. 99. However, he did say that if I printed it out showing no fee that we would give me the price difference. Frustrated again. I came back home and printed it out. But something told me to look them up on Yelp. OH, how I wish I did beforehand, because I would not have went to this location. I should not have to go through so much to get a price difference, especially due to the fact that I have not received my order yet. I haven't even received a call to set up delivery. Not only is their customer service Horrible, but some of their supposedly policies are not a benefit to the consumers and I have a feeling this is just the beginning. I will be returning to the store a 3rd time. I will update this post about my price difference and the delivery. I rating them a two right now, pending my future experience with my current order.
This is the worst store. The manager of the store takes no responsibility for the delivery of furniture sold. I ordered furniture in March 2018 and have received the same piece damaged 3 different times! I have had to reschedule meetings and make arrangements at work on 3 different days since April only to receive the same piece of leather furniture with rips on the side, rips on the corners, and rips on the back 3 different times. The delivery company tries to cover up the rips with a marker. The store’s response is “I don’t even know why you are calling us.” The warehouse just says all they can do is order the piece again! It is the worst experience with a furniture store I have ever had. FYI- All the stores in the MD area use the same warehouse/distribution center, so you have to deal with the same people at the warehouse no matter what store in the Maryland area you go to. Go somewhere else! Update 9/4/18 - After several subsequent deliveries we are STILL waiting to receive an undamaged piece of furniture. In the meantime we have purchased furniture from a different furniture company and it arrived not damaged and was set up with no problems. 10/23/18 - Update: We have still not received furniture that is not damaged. The company wants to charge $150 to pick up the parts of the furniture that we have received. We have not received a complete set, and now they want to charge us for their mistake! The Capitol Heights store customer service continues to have the worst attitude. They have no empathy, just rudeness! 2/22/19 - Update: We have had at least 12 deliveries of the same piece and they have ALL been damaged! It will be a YEAR since we ordered and Still do not have a complete piece of furniture! The last delivery had a cut in the fabric in addition to being torn and worn. And Ashley put a new charge on our account. There are no words to describe this experience. The Better Business Bureau needs to hear about this ridiculous experience.
Purchase furniture a week ago and still to this day there is no delivery date... If I had known I wouldn't purchased.. I paid for furniture at time of purchase and would think I would have a delivery date set..Very disappointed..
Salesperson Valerie was friendly however the two managers where in the office talking and appeared to not have time for the customers. So the assistant manager Jasmine assisted with some of the transaction before turning me over to the cashier. I wasn't told until the end of process the sectional set was not in stock and had to be ordered. Could not provide me with exact amount of time it would take to get my furniture. Was told 26 weeks???. I called Ashley of Fairfax was told they had one in stock and would take about 2 weeks to get more in. I think they could do a better job in providing the customer with the necessary information prior to signing the paperwork.Managers need be more professional and provide better customer service.
Very nice selection. I have shopped at the usual furniture stores Value City, Regency, Marlo's and Haverty's. They all carry Ashley Brand so I decided to shop at their store and it was truly worth the experience, from the cost too the customer service it was phenomenal.

I was encouraged to purchase items beyond the budget that I set forth and now I'm waiting for my items to arrive. The staff who helped me were kind and helpful and I look forward to receiving my purchase 2-4 weeks from now. I was given a delivery window of 2-4 weeks (6 to be safe) and my couch was delivered 4+ weeks later and I'm awaiting pieces of my bed that I fear won't show. I was told that deliveries are long-winded but I didn't think it would take 2 months to receive a bed. #uncomfortable

Hi , Unfortunately I will not share any feedback about the product until I receive my furniture order. I was given information at the store that proved very contradictory of the online details. Had I known that my order would not arrive at my home for 2-6 weeks vs the 1-2 weeks with an online order and set-up I would NOT have made the purchase in store. I was assured by the store team during my visit that if online stated " 1-2 weeks" that's when I would receive it. I asked the sales associate post payment before leaving the store why the paper work stated " 2-6 weeks" and was told not to worry about that I would receive it within 1-2 weeks. After further research and speaking tI honestly think the associate was more concerned with the " sale" rather than me having a positive experience with my purchase. I guess this is a get what you pay for moment hence I ran there because the price for such a nice king size bed. Very disappointed at the moment
I went shopping here with my husband and sons because my father-in-law was looking for a specific dining room set. Aziz, assisted us while we were there. If we were looking for ourselves we would have definitely purchased something today. He was really patient and he was of great assistance.
