After five weeks of waiting for my new bed room set, I finally received cheap, un sturdy, and poorly made furniture. The dresser that I received was rocking, so I sent that back immediately. As for the mattress and bedroom set, I kept it to do some further investigation when I really should’ve sent everything back in the moment. After a few hours passed, I decided that I did not want the furniture due to it simply being made poorly. After having to go in to the store to get a refund and having to deal with a manager that clearly wanted to start trouble, I was told I had to wait until the next day to figure out scheduling as to when they could come retrieve the furniture. My entire problem with this whole interaction is the fact that VICTOR TABBS (my salesman) never offered me a warranty on my bed, but he did for sure try to sell me a $1400 base for the bed. After speaking with Victor today, not only does he think everything is funny which is highly unprofessional on his end being so he is a “manager”, but he also informed me that there is no obligation for sales associates to offer customers warranty’s for their beds. That is the stupidest thing that I’ve ever heard in all of my days. His eyes lit up when I was considering purchasing the base for my bed because I’m assuming he was in desperate need for the commission from it, but Victor didn’t think it was a good idea to attempt to sell me a warranty for my bed. I am very unhappy with the overall experience due to the fact that there is a lot of miscommunication between the in store sales associates/ managers, customer service, and the regional manager which I’m assuming is another edition of customer service. Victor kept saying that he was going to try to figure something out when in reality it would’ve been much easier for him to say he couldn’t do anything because the situation was above his pay grade. At the end of the day, I am stuck with the mattress which is totally fine. However, all of the bedroom furniture is going back and that means that Victor will be stripped of his commission and that is all that matters to me. Victor is extremely unprofessional and appears to be a class clown who has simply lucked up into a leadership position. That should not be the case and Ashley’s needs to think long and hard about their associates overall professionalism because Victor Tabbs is simply a kid playing around in a mattress store. 0/10 experience. NEVER AGAIN. If I wanted to spend thousands of dollars on cheap furniture I would’ve went somewhere else. Very unfortunate experience. Be weary before shopping here folks. Now that I think about it, I feel as though I was scammed. So Victor doesn’t feel as though it’s not necessary to offer me the warranty on the bed, which will cover me for 10 years but will try to sell me a base for a bed that’s 1400+ and get this… he doesn’t even have the base himself. Corporate will definitely be hearing from me bright and early on Monday morning. Not only does Ashley’s in store staff SUCK, but so does their furniture retrieval dispatching team. A woman by the name of Ashley was extremely disrespectful and nasty to me on the phone today. Good thing I was able to speak to her managers manager and let her know what kind of sorry, incompetent, and disrespectful worker she has. For everyone reading this ASHLEYS FURNITURE STORE has not contacted me at all regarding these matters. I am a customer; therefore, I will NOT be reaching out to email them. WHO DOES THAT?? It is their job to reach out to me. Once again, YOU ALL SUCK ALL AROUND THE BOARD. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

I had a wonderful experience shopping at Ashley's Furniture in Capital Heights, MD with the sale representative name Ms. Samar. She greeted me told me the categories of furniture around the store and allowed me to shop without being hovered over. When I found the model I wanted, she helped me by showing various couches. I not only purchased a couch but a recliner as well, although I was contemplating on getting it because it did not match the couch. Ms. Samar gave me some ideas on the color of the recliner and made my shopping experience simple and easy. The staff at the desk were very friendly and attentive. I couldn't be more happier purchasing my furniture at this store and with this representative! I'll be back in the Spring for more! Thank you Ms. Samar for all of your assistance!

For a change, I was allowed to shop and look at sets without a sales person continue to follow me around with pressure sales pitches. Kim was very helpful, professional like most but she gave me some space to think and assess. Once I took pictures of the 3 sets I was interested in with different combinations she jumped right in and provided expert guidance. She along with the remaining staff are friendly, great personalities and we got to know each other while completing a sale. This made me happy!

My experience at Ashley Furniture Store #29 in Capital Heights was one of the best experiences working with Ms. LaShawn and Mr. Therlow. I walked into the store with an attitude from visiting another store that was totally unprofessional, then with my visit with Mr. Therlow and Ms. LaShawn changed my attitude totally! They rolled out the red carpet , I came in extremely indecisive . I might have went to the register 3 times and kept saying gosh can I look at something else? Therlow was extremely patient and even reconfigured a sectional so that I can get a visual of just creating is as sofa . My experience at Ashley Homestore in Capital Heights was nothing short of incredible. The service was fantastic especially from Maurice. He was very helpful. He exercised complete patience with me ( meaning I take a very long time to decide because things have to connect first before I actually buy, who know knows). He went through the whole journey with me on the day I was there to see what are my options and 6 days later went I was there to make my purchase. From me it’s a 10/10 for customer service. The rapport that she established with me has me very interested in visiting the store in person in hopes of getting this same excellent service from a salesperson. My time is very limited since I'm the caregiver for my mother who is wheelchair bound. LaShawn's assistance also was beneficial in saving a lot of our time. Ashley furniture company was the worse experience we have ever had in purchasing new furniture for our new apartment in 36 years. There were so many visible scratches on the furniture. The delivery persons were very upset, because they were late for the next delivery, they did not want to take it back. I had to call the supervisor. We are still waiting for a response, for a mistake in having the bed lowered. We are senior citizens still struggling getting into a bed which is too high, for us. It's been over a year. It's never too late to resolve the unpleasant situation.

I was super indecisive about two different dressers from different places but I got a lot of help from multiple people on different days that I came in, Samar helped me with the purchase overall but Yusuf and two other guys were really patient and helped me decide on getting my dresser here.

From the moment I walked in, the energy was high and never shifted! To the women who helped me shop for my new home, connected culturally, and exude positivity throughout- thank you! We had visited their stores (this location and others) previously and pretty much knew what we wanted. Our salesperson - Juseph was very helpful. (Hope I got/spelled his name correctly.) He was very patient and answered all of our questions and worked with other employees if needed. We especially appreciated that he wasn't pushy and didn't 'hover' over us. We had a pleasant experience with Therlow at the Capital Heights store. We roamed and Therlow stayed close enough to any answer questions we had. We give him a 10 in customer service! Shannon and the other staff there the day we visited were wonderful as well.

My family will never purchase another item from Ashley. We surprise my mother’s with a liver set on June 18. We were totally the items Be delivered to you did not receive the set until September 2. We purchase our items from the capital Heights store in Maryland, Supervisor “Victor “who was about 2 weeks in attempted to be helpful in the beginning, only to be dismissive in the end. I was told that I could be refunded the $140 for taxes , however it appeared that he stated the wrong category he called me 140 but it was a ship that not taxes, and he was trying not to honor based on his notes in the system that said $100 being refunded, which was the first quote, however after we spoke again because once again, the furniture was late he said I can give you an additional $40 which equals 140. Once the delivery was received just come to the store however he did not state only the General Mgr. can process the refund and I should call before coming to make sure she is available. I had to wait over an 1 hour and 15 minutes for her to get iff a phone call meeting before I could get the refund. I would also note that Yusuf who help with our purchase was very professional and helpful the day of our purchase, however, when I had spoken to him as well, the same day I came in for the refund , to see if he recalled the situation. His response to me was very dismissive stating “no I don’t recall the situation I deal with over 100 people per day”. So clearly once he The deal he can care less about helping resolve issues as well. Once the manager did come out of her meeting, I explain the situation and disputed of $100 verses $140 refund amount and el immediately gave me the refund for the $140 in question and it took less than five minutes. I recently visited ashley furniture and I was profiled by an associate named Kim. My friends and I were searching for couches for our student apartments and we were told that we were loitering, after correcting her and clearly stating that we were browsing we were told to leave. We stated our intention of buying something and because we are young we were treated unfairly and with unnecessary disrespect. This store could improve on their customer service and treating all people including future customers with respect.

Went in the store to browse and get stuff for my student apartment and was made uncomfortable by the assistant Kim. Kim’s approach was passive and dismissive. That being said the store could use better customer service training!

My experience at this Ashley furniture located in capital heights was very horrible. I was furniture shopping for my new apartment and I brought my colleagues along with me for different opinion and point of view and was profiled by an sales associate goes by the name Kim.

I visited this store a few weeks ago. I'm shopping for a kitchen table set and tv entertainment center. I went to Ashley furniture because they do have a lot of nice furniture. Maurice is very helpful. They do have a nice variety of furnishings. Most of their furniture is only available online, and that's where I found what I wanted. My furniture arrived. It is beautiful

The quality of furniture these days is in the gutter, so don’t even waste your money here. Go find a dupe. I’m stuck with a sofa I despise because after 24 hours the only option is a store credit.

It saddens me to write this review, but I feel it is necessary to share my experience to help others avoid the same situation. I recently purchased a mattress from this store, and during the sales process, the manager assured my partner and me that we would have a 30-day trial period starting from the day of delivery. To my dismay, I later learned from corporate that there is actually no such trial period. Two weeks into what we believed was our trial, we realized that this mattress simply wasn't the right fit for us. When I reached out to the store for assistance, I was directed to speak with corporate. They confirmed that mattresses are non-returnable and that there is no 30-day trial period, leaving me feeling trapped with a $5,000 bill for a mattress that we do not want or need. I urge potential customers to be cautious when doing business here. Make sure to verify all the details provided to you before making any purchases or signing up for their in-store credit card. This experience has shown me that customer service and transparency are not priorities for this store, and it’s disheartening to see such practices in place. This is not how you build trust or gain returning customers. I hope my review helps others make informed decisions.

Ashley Furniture store is terrible!! They are heartless, and don't care about their customers. They don't honor warranty , so do not waste your money purchasing it. I purchased a bed together with a 5 year warranty. Less than 2 yrs the bed broke. Although my warranty states that breakage is covered they refuse to honor the warranty. I've been back and forth with Ashley Store, Service Department, Corporate Office, GBS, all I got was " I'm sorry this happened to you", and refuses to fix it. Just imagine purchasing a bed for $1735.23 and it broke less than 2 years. Ridiculous!! I've been a loyal customer for several years, I will never patronize or recommend Ashley Furniture again.

On Feb 17, 2025, We were greeted immediately upon walking in the store. Found the perfect dresser and couch for the house. I was assured that the dresser was in stock at the store and that the couch had 2 of the 4 pieces in stock. The other 2 pieces had to be built in the warehouse and it would take up to 2 weeks. At the 3 week mark I called to check on the status. A young lady said that it would be another 2 weeks because the warehouse has their own time frame. Another 2 weeks went by, still no couch! I called again!! The couch is still in the warehouse being built and now the lady is saying the dresser was never in stock at the store, it had to be built at the warehouse as well. If I would have know the correct details I would have never order from this store. They’re just trying to make a sale!!

Worked with Mr. Therlow Foy to purchase all new furniture (2 bedrooms, dining room, and living room) for my space and I couldn't be any happier. He asked about the style I was looking for and let me look around showroom while he found furniture that fit my taste. He took time to match the furniture to my lifestyle. Once we had everything figured, I sat and went over financing with the GM. I can't remember her name but she was helpful and provided additional recommendation. All in all, I had a great experience. Experience problem with my furniture electrical cord for my recliner, went to store informed them my, cord was damaged and needed an replacement one, customer care representative email the department that was responsible for getting me the part and did so. They called me the next day to confirm which cord needed. Sent it to my house took 5 days to receive it. Extremely happy camper. 🙏

When I entered the store on 2/22/25, I was pleasantly greeted by a young man. I informed him that I do not like to be followed while shopping, and that I had his name and would find him if I had any questions and when I was ready to check out. He responded that management required them to follow up frequently with customers. I reiterated that I did not want to be harassed. Overhearing him relay my request to a female supervisor, she stated that customers do not dictate how often to be approached. Despite my request after looking around 3ish minutes, the young man nervously approached me again, stating that he has been instructed to check in with me. I thanked him and decided to exit the store. I had entered the store intending to purchase a sectional I had previously viewed online and wanted to see in person. Unfortunately, due to the harassing nature of the customer service, the supervisor lost the sale. If you wish to shop on your terms, I recommend looking elsewhere.

I spoke with the most pleasant and understand customer service lady Shannon she is everything this store needs to help it run smoothly. My only concern was my furniture wasn't delivered on the scheduled dates. Shannon help me understand all the possibilities of why the furniture is delayed. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS LOCATION! This has been an extremely stressful experience for my partner and me who recently moved into our home on 11/15. Not only do I have to call them each day, I’ve been made to feel like I’m burdening them about my purchase. Each person’s story is different (Shannon, Paris, and Kierra) and they all lack empathy and compassion for this unfortunate mishap. I wish I would have read the reviews first. It seems as though my experiences mirrors the reviews shared for this location. Both Paris and Kierra failed to provide me with timely customer service regarding a $5000 purchase (sofa and bdrm set)! After Paris informed me that they could not split delivery dates, I asked to speak with a manager, she put me on hold and came back to tell me that she would split the delivery and waive the fee. The second delivery date being 12/16, I was told that that there was no furniture on file to be delivered. Upon reviewing the order with their customer service, I was informed that my bed was taken by another location. My partner and I had taken off of work to be available on the delivery dates. After being on hold for almost an hour while at work on 12/16/24, Kierra promised to look into the matter and return my call before leaving the store. Not only did she not return my call, she was out of the office for the next two days and I had to call her back Thursday evening only for her to tell me that no one knows when my furniture will be in. Kierra informed me that her RM will be in tomorrow to discuss my issues. When I asked for his name, she informed me that she could not give out that information. I called back an hour later and spoke with Rhonda who provided me with Malcolm’s name: It is my hope that this can be remedied by Malcolm in a timely fashion. I will be writing a letter to corporate!

DO NOT purchase furniture from this store. This the worst customer service I ever received. I had to call another store and the customer service was vastly different. If I could, I would have cancelled the entire order, this store does not deserve my money or your money. Stay away you will thank me later.

I got my mattress and furniture back in October, I was told my ETA for delivery was November 26th . I called today to follow up and the lady was so rude telling me that my ETA is now December 1st and that I should have read the contract I was signing. So you basically lied to me about the ETA . I have been without mattress or furniture since I moved into my house. This is very disappointing. What me come back here on December 1st with no delivery still because who wants to work on thanksgiving weekend. Plus thank you Ashley’s for making me have thanksgiving without my furniture that I have paid for over a month ago with body aches from not sleeping on a mattress. Rhonda was such an amazing help to me in my experience in the Ashely store. There was also another salesman here, and he was pretty awesome as well. Both employees were highly knowledgeable, and to be honest, they both should have their own stores. The amazing experience they provided me as I was trying to purchase was just top-notch, with the best customer service, sales, and shipping that I’ve ever dealt with in my 59 years on this earth.

My worst experience interacting with any furniture establishment. You have to follow-up daily for items that you paid for as if they're doing you a favour. In particular, Kiera at the Capitol Heights store was the rudest and unfriendliest person to deal with. I would not recommend this store if you would like to keep your sanity.

We were told our furniture would arrive in two to three weeks when we paid, later to find out that it would be six weeks, "but maybe less," whatever that means. We were planning to make a large bedroom furniture purchase from Ashley, but not anymore.

“Unacceptable Customer Service from Corporate – Still Stuck with the Wrong Mattress!” I purchased a mattress from Ashley’s Furniture in Capital Heights, MD, with the help of my godfather who financed it. My family, including my godfather, has been shopping with Ashley Furniture for several years, but after this experience, I can no longer do business with them. I was very clear about the exact mattress I needed, but the wrong one was delivered. After notifying the store, corporate took weeks to respond to the issue and arrange for the wrong mattress to be removed from my apartment. Eventually, I agreed to an exchange, and Area Manager Malcolm coordinated the delivery of a second mattress, with the plan that they would take the first wrong mattress out of my home. When the second mattress arrived—three weeks later—I immediately knew it was wrong too, just by feeling it. Even the delivery worker agreed that it wasn’t the correct ultra-firm mattress based on what I had described and the tag I showed him from the correct mattress at another store. As a result, the second mattress was never even brought into my apartment. However, when I asked the delivery team to take the first incorrect mattress that’s been sitting unused in my home for over 30 days, they said they couldn’t. They only took back the second one they brought that day. So now, I’m still stuck with the original wrong mattress in my unit, and corporate has yet to schedule a time to remove it. Their lack of response and failure to address this situation shows that their only concern is the money, not customer satisfaction. After all this back-and-forth, they’re offering another exchange or charging cancellation fees, instead of simply canceling the order and making things right. Under Maryland’s Consumer Protection Act and federal consumer protection laws, businesses are required to deliver products as advertised and to address complaints in a fair and timely manner. The failure to provide the correct mattress—twice—and the delays in resolving the issue could be seen as a violation of these laws. If this issue isn’t resolved soon, I’ll be left with no choice but to escalate this further by filing a complaint with the Maryland Attorney General’s Office, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and the Prince George’s County Office of Consumer Protection, and exploring other consumer protection channels. I’ve always been a fan of Ashley’s Furniture, but after this experience, I can no longer recommend them to friends or family. This situation is beyond frustrating, and it’s concerning that such a well-known company is failing to follow basic customer service practices. To Ashley’s corporate: Cancel the order, schedule the mattress to be picked up and stop dragging this out. This entire process has been exhausting and unacceptable.

Upon entering the store I was not sure what I needed in a new mattresses, BUT I knew I needed a NEW one!! Therlow was very knowledgeable, extremely patient and gave the type of customer you only hope for especially when making a large purchase and expecting a quality item!! It's been 3 months since I've been sleeping on my convertable mattress and I definitely made the right purchase with the right Ashley Associate!! Thank you Therlow and team!!

Great shopping and delivery experience with Ashley in Capital Heights, MD!

I booked order with Ashley and at the time of the booking confirmed the delivery date for the furniture before paying. My wife was expecting, and we were absolutely clear on the delivery date before the purchase. So I paid and waited 2 weeks, and 1 day before the delivery I was informed that the order is delayed and it cant be delivered for another 4 weeks. I provided reference of the conversation and mentioned that the store manager came twice to confirm the furniture delivery date to my pregnant wife while placing order. Shoulders were shrugged and I was told there is nothing they can do. As an alternate, they tried to sell me another bedset which I didn’t like and refused to change the order. I requested them that they can make some interim arrangement by sending me any bedset and when my order is ready they can deliver and take back the bedset, it was refused. So the only option was to wait or get something which you dont like. So, eventually I was told that the money will be refunded as they can’t help me. So I had to go around and make arrangements for something in stock while my wife is 2 days close to her due date. I took it as kind of blackmailing tactic from Ashleys and disappointed by the overall experience. The money has not reflected in my card and its been 5 days. I will have to go to the store to speak with someone in-charge and to get the money refunded once I get free from the delivery of my child. Overall, I wish there is a negative rating button which I could press to rate my experience, however in the absence of none I had to choose the minimum. My advise, would be to place the order with them if you can wait for 10-12 weeks and still expect unexpected. Thanks

When I arrived to pick it up, they informed me that I would have to wait another month. On top of that, the refund process has been a complete hassle, and I'm still waiting to get my money back. This store is extremely unprofessional, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Shop elsewhere to avoid these issues.

I will never purchase from them again. I purchased a bed frame and delivery was scheduled, then I received an email that they cancelled my order. I called customer service to see why the order was cancelled and they confirmed that there was no cancellation on my account. Well here I am on the delivery date and they said the order doesn’t exist because THEY in fact did cancel it. Never again

My experience here has been great the last two times I purchased items. The staff and the manager were so friendly and helpful on May 19th when I was in the store with my daughter. We purchased a mattress and boxspring. I would definitely shop here again!!

My experience at Ashley has been incredibly frustrating and irritating. The staff at this location come across as arrogant, which has left me feeling disappointed. While I don't want to say I'll never visit an Ashley store again, I can confidently say I won't be returning to this specific location. Last Saturday, my family and I visited in search of furniture we needed urgently before relatives arrived. Unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal. We had left another store to explore Ashley's offerings, only to miss out on a better deal. The sales representative we were assigned seemed clueless and lacked basic customer service skills. When we expressed interest in a specific set, she provided minimal assistance and failed to clarify pricing details. Consequently, we ended up paying for items that weren't what we expected. When we contacted the store to address our concerns, we were met with a dismissive and rude response over the phone. It's clear that better staff training or selection is needed at this location. Overall, my time at Ashley was a waste.

Utterly disappointed and angered by the service I received from the warehouse. A sofa and chair were damaged at the seams upon arrival. I paid movers to have the furniture returned following the direction I received from the Capitol Heights store only to be denied by the warehouse for returning the furniture due to some baseless claims. How a warehouse can override the direction of management from where I purchased the furniture is beyond me. I wasn't asking for a refund at the time of the return, but to simply receive furniture without any defects. The defects were behind the plastic wrappings and no fault of my own. I paid over $2300 for a damaged set that they could have easily made right.

My experience with Kiera General Manager was beyond my expectations for customer service. She really made sure that my experience and purchase was hassle free and smooth. I deeply appreciate her warm, welcoming, patient and kind spirit. She is really what keeps this place NUMBER ONE for customer satisfaction!!!! Well that amd the quality furniture. My experience with Alphatrus was every bit of exceptional. From the time i came in the store to the time i left Alphatrus greeted me and made sure that i was confident and knowledgeable about all of the different furniture for my ideal rooms. I will add that i came in the store feeling overwhelmed from the previous shop experience i had at another store. When i initially entered the store i tried to avoid the salesmen because i wanted to grab exactly what i wanted and nothing more. Moving strategically Alphatrus spotted me and tried his best to greet me and assist. Finally he walked up to me and greeted me. He went above and beyond to make sure i chose the right furniture for each room. He took into consideration my style, color scheme and overall price limit and pointed me in the right direction. He explained every detail and answered about a 1000 questions lol. He also took his time to explain the differences between each brand and pricing that i had thoughts about in the future. He was patient, funny, outgoing and even flexible especially when it came to getting me EXACTLY what i wanted. Though we walked all over the store several times he again made sure i left feel confident in my purchase. I would definitely recommend Alphatrus if you ever need a patient person to get your what you need any take into consideration your vision.

My brother and I went there in December 2023 we bought bedrooms set ‘ they delivered them on January 5 2024 i call them to let them know that my furniture was damaged they asked me for pictures in everything, every time I call them they keep saying same thing over and over again gave me 72 hours someone showed get a contract with you “This is the most unprofessional service I have ever received in my life”.

This store needs to rethink the people they hire. They have a customer service woman with a short ponytail that is rude and totally dismissive. You ask her basic questions and she gets smart and even when the general manager came up to rectify the situation she still acted unprofessional. She didn’t know how to listen I had to keep mentioning the same thing over and over. I hope they have a conversation with her because this will definitely drive customers away. The girl was dark skinned and heavy set. Get anyone but her to help you.

Overall my experience with Ashley was awesome! The reason for my rating is bc when I originally scheduled the delivery date, I never received a call to confirm nor did I receive a call advising that my scheduled delivery was cancelled. I called and the representative I spoke to couldn’t advise me as to why it was cancelled either. However, we were able to get it rescheduled and I received my delivery items on the new scheduled delivery date. I absolutely love my new furniture and look forward to buying more in the future!

BEWARE OF MAURICE (SALESPERSON)- I was in Ashley Furniture 1711 Ritchie Court Capital Heights, MD. My salesperson was Maurice and i wanted to buy a sofa that was on sale for $499. Maurice said that the tax would be $33 and delivery $119-Everything was cool until I reviewed my invoice. Maurice had up charged the sofa to $554, re-filtered the tax and delivery back unto my invoice for financing and had No plausible explanation as to WHY he was trying to rip me off other than stating this is the way it is. When I Spoke to the manager, he could not explain the nefarious act either and said the same that's the way it is although I questioned their bate and switch practice, the potential fraudulent billing and the denial of financial re-payment options that were clearly visible on my telephone that I showed them to see that the financial options did qualify to receive. At this time the manager apologized and I told him that yes he was sorry for being busted/ trying to rip me off. Maurice interjected aggressively to invoke an argument with me a WOMAN??? I called his woman like behavior out and encouraged them to have a blessed day. Needless to say, I went to BOB's Furniture and you should too where they treat you with utmost professionalism and respect your dollar. Ask for Jose and Whatever you do please CHECK and REVIEW your invoice prior to signing anything to avoid being ripped OFF by these unprofessional associates of ASHLEY FURNITURE in Capital Heights Maryland!!!

My sectional came yesterday 8/8/23 and it came damaged. I called the delivery and the store as soon as I saw the damage to the right arm corner chaise. The sofa seat is not firm like the other seats. When I spoke to them yesterday I was told there was another one in stock. Now today 8/9/23 they don’t have one. They want me to pay $150 to return it and it’s has not been 72 hours. They changed me $169.99 to deliver damage furniture. The Ritchie Station Court are a franchise Ashley’s they own the Regency and the Marlo’s Furniture they are robbing on the low. They gave me damage furniture and will not replace it but want to repair it. I paid for new furniture not damaged or repaired furniture. I just want them to come and get the furniture and give me my money back. They giving me the runaround because they are trying to run out my time to get a full refund back. This is stressful and bad business. I wish I could give them zero stars. This is unbelievable!

Very disappointed in the recent experience I just had with this location. I purchased a mattress in January and still haven’t received it. I called more than several times and was told various ETAs of when it was arriving. I tried to get in touch with the general manager Jonathan who never responded. The customer service was quite poor from the sales man Darrin to the front desk staff who just take messages , do not look into your concerns or return your calls. I finally had to cancel my order and the front desk manager Neesha happily did it while making sarcastic comments. I definitely wouldn’t order from this location, the delivery system they have in place is poorly put together, bad communication amongst the staff and no empathy for the customer.

I was greeted by Aziz Jackson upon entering the Ashley Capitol Heights location. He was very attentive in helping me narrow down the type of family room furniture I was looking for. He allowed me space to test out the furniture but also checking back in to make sure I didn’t need any information. What I liked the most was that I didn’t feel pressured to purchase at the moment. He gave me the option to hold the furniture for 48 hours to continue shopping around to be sure of what I wanted. My experience with salesman Aziz Jackson was absolutely wonderful. The furniture is very nice. My experience was the corporate office has been HORRIBLE. We overpaid and was told by the front desk that we were going to receive our refund within 21 days that’s now past due. Contacted corporate today and was told we won’t receive the funds until around the middle of January, not acceptable.

I want to give them zero stars if I could . I went in the store In November to purchase a sectional sofa. They sales person told Me it would take 2-12 weeks to receive the corner chaise which was not in stock . When they gave me my invoice the client name on the form was of another customer. They noticed the mistake and told me it would be corrected. They gave me a second invoice with the other client name but changed the deliver to with my information . Manger told me they would send me an email with the corrected information that day which I never received. I tried tracking my order online and called customer service multiple times and they could not find my order. I called the store again and the person I spoke to told me she would update my information in the system and the order was corrected to give it a few days to track my order. Nothing was found with my information, and again my number for the order was not updated , the person told me that they would call their finance department and someone would call me to give me an update . A week went by and no one has called me or tried to take ownership of the issue . They tell you anything to get you off the phone but don’t take any responsibility for their mistake or even try to resolve the issue. i called them today once again because it’s going to be almost a month and the person I spoke to said they spoke to another department and “they went ahead and canceled the order because they thought it wasn’t processed the first time” which makes no sense. They said now that the item won’t be in stock until January which they gave me the wrong time frame the first time. I called a customer service number and they said my order was cancelled on the 5th of December. Not one person mentioned that the order was cancelled, this was an extremely unpleasant experience and the team they have take no accountability and don’t seem to care. They just care about selling the product . Mistakes happen all the time , but the lack of communication and ownership to resolve the issue is disappointing and unprofessional. Bad customer service !

I am used to Ashley's having s wide range of options to chose from in the store. However, I was disappointed by the selection available. There were only like 6 or so selections to chose from in the twin bed selection. Everything else had to be looked up online. This kind of defeated the purpose of having a showroom floor. And they selections available were not physically appealing, nor were they available to purchase that day.

Moved to a new home and was looking for a furniture store with reasonable prices and reliable fulfillment and delivery. (I’ve experienced other vendors claiming furniture was available but delivery was weeks later for pieces that were actually out of stock, or delivering the wrong furniture entirely and then putting me through drama of getting a refund.) The salesperson at Ashley was professional and HONEST about what furniture was in stock and had us in and out in less than an hour. We settled on a sectional that was actually delivered EARLIER than the time frame given. Glad I found a local furniture store that’s professional and doesn’t break the bank.

I just called and the girl laughed on the phone and said “I don’t know what to tell you I’ve only been here 5 days” lol . Like just be upfront with customers and we could go somewhere else and buy instead of waiting 3-4 months and the time changing every time you call. I should’ve sticked with Wayfair.
