Dee was exceptional! He welcomed us as soon as we got to the store and was ready to help us find our dream couch. He paid close attention to our needs and walked us around the store to show different styles we might like. He is very attentive and offered great advice on every item we saw. Ask for him if you want to have the best experience ever. He will make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for or propose a similar alternative. Walk into Ashley furniture to physically see a dresser I saw online. Sales Associate Kaingu Milunge assisted me , he provided me with exceptional customer service . He was very attentive ,helpful friendly and accommodated me with a delivery date that was perfect with my schedule.

After being told at the time of purchase that this was their “best sale of the year” and that I would have my furniture in 2-3 weeks, SURPRISE! 3 weeks later they had an even better sale! I went into the store to complain and they did give me a refund to reduce my purchase price, but then the service rep said it would be ANOTHER 2-3 weeks before my furniture was ready for delivery! So mad!!
Everything looks good, only thing is that the delivery men didn’t give me the hex wrench which I would need to tighten the table and the chairs from time to time

Store lies about timelines to get you to buy. The floor models are designed to bait and switch. Our sectional came and is a lemon. I should have known from Other furniture I bought from Ashley in the past. Cheap. Poorly made. Scam. Go elsewhere. Heck, Bobs makes sturdier stuff for half the price.

I had recently bought a mattress from this location, the sales person was okay but after they make me pay delivery fee which is usually free for most purchases. I had to keep calling and beg them to get the item even after a week, no updates, no explanation. I had to call to their main office after they refused to answer my calls and talk to a representative for at least estimated delivery date. This is the worst service I’ve ever received in my entire life. I don’t recommend Ashley Store Columbia location.

We probably visited all of the furniture stores on Rockville Pike and were very pleased with our furniture selection at Ashley. Fatima is the best sales person at Ashley. She is the most patient human being I have come across and is very knowledgeable about her job. She delivers excellent customer service and I am very happy with my purchase.
If I could, I wouldn’t even give one star. Please save yourself the trouble and shop at another furniture store—do not go to Ashley Furniture. I purchased an entire bed set and a sofa from them. Unfortunately, when the furniture was delivered, I was out of town, so my mother received it on my behalf. We didn’t test the bed until we returned a few days later. Once we started using it, we realized it was extremely uncomfortable and began causing back pain for both me and my partner. When I went to Ashley to report the issue, they told me there’s only a 72-hour window to report any problems after delivery. This policy is ridiculous—how can someone know if a whole bed works for them within three days, especially if they aren’t even home? Even worse, their website clearly states you have 30 days to return items. We were still within two weeks of the delivery when I raised the issue, but they refused to help. I was even willing to pay a restocking fee, yet no solution was offered. On top of that, during delivery, the movers damaged my sofa and tried to cover it up. I reported it immediately, and Ashley promised to send a replacement. It’s now the end of February, and I’m still waiting. This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I’m writing this review to save you both time and money. Do yourself a favor and avoid Ashley Furniture at all costs.

My husband and I are extremely disappointed in our experience with Ashley Furniture. There were red flags from the beginning that we should not have ignored. When in the store, the sales person initially entered the incorrect number of pieces and almost charged us for the warranty that we had already said we didn't want. The error was only caught because I flagged it when looking over his shoulder as he entered it into the iPad. He then told us it would take 2-4 weeks for delivery, but it ended up being 6 weeks. When the furniture was delivered it was the wrong color. We specifically had told the sales person that we wanted gray, but the couch that was delivered was white; we have 3 kids, there's no way we would ever order a white couch. They offered to come pick it up and place an order for the correct one, but we did not want to go through the hassle of scheduling a pick up (the customer service agent couldn't even give me a time frame for when they would pick it up. Days?? Weeks??) nor did we want to risk having to wait another 6 weeks for the correct couch. I will never recommend Ashely Furniture after this experience.

We purchased queen bed with mattress at Ashley furniture at columbia MD store. Even after two weeks there is no info about the delivery of furniture. Customer service is so bad they flatly told us they are not sure when it will be delivered. Apparently Ashley furniture is con artist, grabbing money upfront and then for get if they have to deliver furniture to customers. Very frustrating and bad experience. I recommend not to buy any furniture from them

BE AWARE! BE AWARE! We recently purchased a $2,200 sofa (paid in full) from Ashley Furniture. During delivery, the sofa didn’t fit through the stairs, so the team took it back to the warehouse. When I requested a refund, I was told there are no refunds—only store credit. Before purchasing, I specifically asked about their refund policy and was assured I’d get a refund if the item didn’t fit. I was never informed about their no-refund policy. I was later told that once delivery is scheduled and attempted, refunds are no longer an option. This has been extremely frustrating for my family, especially during the holiday season. $2,200 is now stuck as store credit, and we are still working on what to do next. Please ensure you understand their refund policies and get everything in writing to avoid this situation.

A wonderful display of furniture pieces. We were helped by Paula who was amazing at finding the right couch we were looking for! She listened to our concerns, heard our points and found the perfect piece that both my wife and I loved! We came at a good time to catch a sale and the prices were very reasonable. Overall Paula helped us tremendously and im thankful for her kindness, patience, and knowledge to answers all of our questions and concerns. Our cashier, Rubab was very kind in explaining our delivery time frame. I cant wait for our delivery!

Having purchased from Ashley Furniture multiple times in the past, I’ve always been impressed by the outstanding quality of their products. However, my most recent visit to this particular location was by far the best experience yet. From the moment we walked in, every member of the team greeted us warmly and asked if we needed assistance. Our sales rep, Albright, stood out with her eagerness to help. She carefully listened to all the “must-haves” we had in mind and guided us through several recliner options that fit our needs. She provided price estimates for the models we were considering and was incredibly knowledgeable, answering all of our questions with patience and professionalism. What truly set Albright apart was her exceptional customer service. We’ve been looking to buy this particular couch for a while now and Chief gave us the push we needed to finally purchase it. I used Ashley Furniture store in Columbia Maryland to furnish our entire apartment. Mali was exceptional in her customer service and went above and beyond the call of duty. We purchased everything while out of state and without ever coming to the store. Mali used her personal phone and FaceTime to walk around and share details about the items and walked us through the entire process. TJ, the regional manager was extremely helpful and ensure we received all applicable discounts. The delivery process was also smooth. I highly recommend these associates and this store!!

My sales person ws Fatima. She was the BEST. She helped me decide on some furniture I purchased. I told her what my color scheme was, and she took it from their. She was like my personal designer. When we finisheded selecting my furniture, she called the store manager and he worked the magic with the price and I was sold. My family member that was with me, was so impressed, they bought furniture too. I had gone to several other stores they have, and the Columbia store have the BEST selection. My delivery was done professionally. You know sometimes delivery is not really good. They be rushing and tacky. These guys were trained well. They sell quality furniture and nice stylish unique pieces. Kudos to the owner for professional staff .

My experience shopping in store was pleasant. The sales representative, Marshall, was very professional and allowed me to browse the store and answered all my questions. My main focus was to purchase a queen and a full-sized bed, as well as a couch, as I had recently relocated due to a military change of duty station and needed these items urgently. I expressed numerous times to the sales representative as well as a manger that I needed these items as soon as possible as I had none currently. I had also wanted to purchase a blanket for my son, but was informed that it was not in stock except for the display ones. I was told that I could order one and it would be delivered to my door with 2 day drop ship. It had been explained to me it would be much like Amazon where they would simply mail the blanket to me and would get it within two days. With the beds and couch being delivered within two weeks. I made the purchase on September 6th but had not received any updates on the status of my order by September 18th. Upon calling the store on the 18th, I was informed that my order for the beds AND blanket wouldn't be available until the end of the month, with the couch not being available for delivery until mid-October. I am extremely disappointed with the change in delivery dates and the lack of communication regarding my order. I had trusted this company to deliver my order on time and I couldn’t even get a phone call or email to let me know they weren’t able to meet the two week delivery.

Order bed & 2 side tables never delivered in 2 months after 2 months they said out of stock I get floor samples bed after I had so many bugs in side the bed & lamp table I want to customer service & show them bugs video they give me customer service number & I call them they see 2 videos & they don’t want replace or return & they don’t want send someone to look @ the issue customer service so poor they don’t help,this all happened in first week after they delivered at least they should send someone to look. So many tiny wood bugs can’t even see Be careful check your furniture after delivered.I wish I can upload bugs videos in this review.

If you are in the market for new furniture I highly recommend Ashley in Columbia. I had the absolute best time buying my new bed at Ashley. Paula was the star of the show - I usually don't like to talk to sales people but she was AWESOME - showed me lots of options and didn't rush me at all. She listened, answered all my questions, and made me feel right at home... it can be very awkward to lay down in a bed on a showroom floor but Paula took all of the awkward out of the situation and made it a fun experience. I'll also give a shout out to Wayne for helping with the numbers and for making the purchase a little easier on my wallet.

I purchased the Avocet sofa, chair, and ottoman from Ashley Furniture in Columbia, Maryland. The items were scheduled to be delivered today but the delivery persons stated that the sofa was too big to go up the next set of stairs. The next opening for the stairs is the same size. They asked if I wanted them to leave it in the foyer for me to deal with later or send it back. I contacted the store for assistance and spoke with Ryan as the manager, Wayne, was unavailable for me to talk to. I was instructed to come to the store for assistance if I wanted to buy something else or request a refund. Ryan stated that a refund could not be requested over the phone. I would also need to forfeit the “white-glove” delivery fee if I don’t want to accept the store credit ($2800). I stated that they didn’t have anything else in the store that I was interested in purchasing and requiring me to accept a store credit would force me to buy something I was not pleased with. The other option is to request re-delivery and sign a liability waiver, relieving Ashley Furniture of any damages to the furniture and my property. Ryan proceeded to tell me that I should have read the terms of the contract before I purchased the furniture. The terms are the terms and they were my only options to move forward. I find it interesting that they could not get the furniture up the stairs, but others were able to get a king-size mattress, an oversized headboard, and a dresser that is long and tall up two flights of stairs.

This store lost a costumer today - 5 employees, not a single one approached us in our 20+ minutes there or were even approachable. Only 4 customers in the store, and they ignored us all. I'm looking for spend up to 3k on a power recline sofa- only one in the store was even plugged in. I saw 2 I really liked, but couldn't tell how they worked or find anyone willing to help. Never again.

I didn’t think Ashley such a big brand would be a robber, I bought a set of tables from them and the tables had bottoms and top glasses and one glass from one of the tables were missing, I asked two of the associates and they told me one of the tables come without bottom glass, I trusted them and took the set but when I brought them home, one of the glasses was missing and I went back in 5 minutes and I told them about the missing glass, one of their rude managers told me that they are gonna order the glass but I need to pay for it. I don’t know what should I do against them, please give me your advices and be very careful buying items from the clearance.

Very very poor customer service. They tell you one thing when you are looking for item then change it by the time you go to buy it. Also once you purchase the item that’s it, delivery delays or such aren’t communicated to you after giving you a guaranteed delivery date/delivery by latest date. Plus you get attitude if you ask questions. Would not recommend this location.
Sam was my sales consultant. He was knowledgeable and didn’t follow us around the store the whole time like most sales consultants. He just checked in as we browsed and was able to take care of us quickly and efficiently.
Once you have made your purchase Ashley cares absolutely nothing about you. Even the time changes. I was promised delivery with a maximum time line given. Once the purchase was made and I called to verify the delivery date the tone was awful and Ricky insinuated I am a liar because they wouldn’t give me that timeline. Last I checked my hearing and cognitive abilities were intact. I will never purchase anything from these people again.
Went shopping for a couch set and Paula was very helpful. She made sure my wife and I had all the information and help we needed, but gave us space to talk and make our decision. To be honest I'm not always the biggest fan of Ashley designs, but I will always at least look at this store because of the great customer service.

I cannot believe the lack of customer service at this place. I ordered a sofa and loveseat almost 3 weeks ago. I was told it would be able to be delivered in 1-2 weeks. At the two week mark, I called the store to check on the order. They told me they wouldn't be able to deliver it because one piece wasn't delivered to them yet. (as promised). I said that wasn't what I was told when purchased. I expected a quicker delivery. I said please have your manager call me. I called everyday and everyday I was told the manager either wasn't in or he had stepped out. I was then told the store manager (female) would be in on Saturday and that they would let her know to call me. I waited until 4:30 pm to call her. They put me on hold for 11 minutes before I hung up. When I called back, no one would answer the phone. I have called multiple times since and no one will answer the phone. I will not be returning after this incident. I guess once they make the sale, they don't care about their customers.

UPDATE:12/22 The nerve you guys have with the response below! EVERYTHING was explained to me in detail. They told me my furniture would arrive within the first week of Jan. I told them I wished to not go through with the purchase! Because I was backing out THEY ASSURED ME I would get it by the 17th. They LIED so they would get a commission! So please don't try to make it seem like it was an oppsy. I later found out they were planning on pulling SOMEONE ELSE'S ORDER to give to me but they didn't fall through with the plan. How was that going to be fair to the our customer?! Who cares though. Anything to get a commission. Lack of transparency is an understatement! ***************************************** The sales rep LIED to me and told me I would receive my furniture before Christmas. I told him that if I that was not possible that I would not make the purchase. Him along with another gentleman gave me a date of delivery (Dec 17). I stayed home from a very important traditional Christmas dinner so we could be home once our sectional arrived. They never got delivered! When I callled the store to my surprise they don't even deliver on Sundays! All was just a lie to get me to purchase this set. My expected date of delivery 1st week of Jan! Why lie to a customer just make a sale????? I will say that Tracey tried his best to fix this problem but he had no luck. I am hosting Christmas at my house with no where to sit. :-/

I would never buy from here ever again. Fatima is truly a liar, “there’s only one sofa left in the warehouse, the love seats we would have to order” great, cool. Every time I called, there was “love seat is expected to arrive at the end of December” cool, can you just deliver my sofa until then.. delivery comes, it’s my damn love seat. If you wanted to make a purchase and get your commission say that, lying doesn’t help. I wish I ordered online and no one got my commission. Acted like they were “helping me out” but gave me online prices. Never again. I wouldn’t care if I had something to sit on, but I was SUPER big on delivery and they suck. They just want their commission, that’s how they get paid. Order online.

Product and Quality is good. Delivery service is outsourced which basically cheat. They will suggest furniture is big and they will try this and that and get it in for 120$. Talking to Ashley they are not giving and solution and you end up paying up. Worst part is they can come beyond the delivery window and also reschedule as needed. But they wont call you before coming and return back if you are unavailable for even 5 min.

Scam delivery service! Addendum to the first review: I was told by an Ashley in-store representative on last week that my sofa that was on back order would be arriving earlier, on September 28, 2023 as it was originally set to arrive on October 11, 2023. I just called Ashley customer service today to see if the sofa arrived on yesterday and setup delivery, and now the ashley customer service representative tells me the sofa is now set to arrive on October 15, 2023. This sale transaction with this company has been a disaster!

Still no response from upper management. The absolute worse. Horrible. Bought a sofa that sinks and slides. I’ve been complaining for months. They give me the run around knowing they have no intentions of making it right. Discount prices mean discount customer service and cheap furniture. They sent someone out that said they can repair my sofa. Why would I want a brand new sofa repaired. I did not buy from a salvage barn… or did I??? I will never ever buy from them again. I will spend more for quality and good service. Don’t trust them, they specialize in cheap furniture. It’s not a sale it’s a rip off!!! Save your coins and buy quality furniture somewhere else!!! I would give no stars but it’s not and option. BTW. Ashley and Regency furniture are the same…. Rip offs!! I will also be reporting them to the better business bureau and consumer reports!! 👎

We just picked out a table that they had three of on the floor. Two were damaged and we wanted the third one. But to our surprise the “designer” wanted that piece to be there for “show” so they made us walk out the door. The store is empty whenever we come anyway, no wonder they don’t do much business if they treat their customers like this.

I had the absolute worst experience with Ashley Furniture. In a nutshell my furniture was delivered and after multiple calls and talking several people including Tracey whom I guess is the manager my walls were damaged by Juan and his crew and they put up my furniture incorrectly to the point when I first slept on the bed the box spring broke. The customer service was poor and horrible after them coming to my home 3 times with last time having them come and take the furniture back the 2 men came and fixed the box spring said that it was never put together correctly. Mind you that was the second set of men to come out and look at it. Still to this day I am trying to see who will be responsible for the damages to my walls. The delivery process was insane. Tracey NEVER contacted me back. To top it off the furniture looked like it came off the show room floor with blemishes and scraps. I’ll never shop here again. There are some great items and I was looking at a dinning set but I refuse to give my money to company like this.

I went ready to buy furniture for 4 different rooms, had looked up a couple pieces online and wanted to try a few sofas in person. I moved between 3 different sofas for an hour finalizing my decision. No one addressed me, said hello or asked if I needed any help. There were 5 employees sitting within feet of me on their phones. I went up to one guy and asked if they had a dining table in the store, he said no and I asked if there might be anything similar in the store to see - "Well Ive never seen that table, so I dont know" ....at this point I was confused and annoyed. Yes, I was dressed down but im not homeless and clearly ready to buy something. I sat on the winning sofa and ordered it online while sitting in the store. I think I spend 2 hours in the store, counted 8 employees and no help. I would order online vs from this store. They also work on commission, so even more surprised no offer of help. Go elsewhere or order online - the chat agents are much more helpful.
Terrible service. Purposely dishonest and evasive and won’t correct their mistakes when they clearly make an error.
Two pretty bad experiences. First one with someone who was very sales-y, talking so much about what kind of deals they could get us. Trying to upsell us on lots of other stuff. Ended up walking out feeling a bit weird but also bad for ditching them. But then we looked up the list price on their own website of one of the items on we were considering in store and it was $200 cheaper than in store in store $500, online $300). So… guessing in store prices are just massively inflated so you can feel good getting a “good deal”. Went back a few weeks later to get that item. Showed the website price. They said they couldn’t match it. Said that online you have to pay hundreds for shipping. Added to cart and filled out info: shipping was free. Wow. Not 1 star because we do like their stuff (have a nice coffee table from a few years ago).
Inad was an exceptional help today! We came in a few weeks back to look at furniture but weren’t quite sure but he helped us a lot so we came back again and met with him and knew he would be the one to help us out with our purchase for furniture! I know my wife and I will definitely come back to him for help again for all of our future shopping! If you go to the Ashley Store in Columbia, DEFINITELY ask for Inad! He was a big help in helping us find what we were looking for within our budget!

Over 3 weeks of deliberation, Paula has been absolutely lovely to work with as we decided on what mattress/base was necessary to replace our current setup. Thanks Paula! Well the review was 5 stars. In house is great, however their 3rd party delivery system is outrageous. Currently in a situation where I do not have a bed to sleep on for about a week.
Sofa ordered from Ashley Furniture in Columbia, Maryland. Ashley Furniture website of sofa said they needed 32 inch wide doorway which I had. Delivery people had trouble getting it into doorway. They didn't suggest that they take it back but made me sign a waiver with tiny print on a tablet if I wanted it in the house. Their website said it should fit so waiver was signed. They forced the sofa through doorway, destroyed the storm door and door frame as well as the top of the sofa. They refused to take any responsibility because a waiver was signed.Customer service was dismissive. Would never purchase from this store again. If delivery people feel furniture won't fit, they shouldn't even offer to force it, they should refuse to force and have customer pick out something else. Tried to donate to Salvation Army and they wouldn't even take it because of the damage. Had to pay a junk place to haul it away. Now have to pay to fix the door. Would never buy anything from Ashley Furniture again, horrible experience. Never sign a waiver for furniture delivery!!!!!
DON’T SHOP HERE!!! Poor customer service. Once you have made your purchase and Ashley has your money, they could care less about you!!! I purchased a couch that was in stock on Saturday and was told it would be delivered coming week. I was scheduled for a delivery on Thursday. On Thursday, the warehouse loaded the WRONG couch on the truck. That’s when the true customer care of Ashley Furniture showed up. Called, never had my call returned. I had to drive from DC to Columbia to try and get assistance and express the urgency of delivery that week. I was told it would get handled and it didn’t. Now fighting to get it delivered or get my money returned. Apparently they’ll take my money over the phone but won’t return the charge to my card over the phone. I ordered an in stock item to ensure it would be delivered before drywall repairs and painting were completed. Now I’ll have to delay the home renovation because Ashley Furniture can’t load the correct item on their delivery truck.

I initially purchased living room furniture from Havertys. When I received the delivery I discovered the couch & pillows were used. After contacting the sales person & customer service I was informed the couch should have went to there clearance location instead. After looking at the used furniture, I realized the couch did not wear well & the quality just wasn't good. I decided to cancel my order with them altogether. Once I informed the Sales person of my decision he became very upset, and started hollering at me over a phone call. My experience with Haverty's customer service was unprofessional, rude and just downright nasty as well. I decided to purchase a better living room set at Ashley's. And I want to thank the Sales person, William Spencer for being so understanding & patient as I told him my horrible experience with Haverty's. He was very professional & kind. I purchased a bedroom set. The floor model is constructed with dove tails which are less likely to break with ease. However, the set they sent does not have dove tails and is tacked together with screws and glue. This is a deceptive sales practice and I'm livid. Do NOT purchase from this company.
We were looking for a bed frame and just wanted to shop around to see what we liked. Paula was amazing! She gave us the gist of what we would see and where to start. She gave us space to look for what we wanted and found us in perfect timing! Right after we decided on a bed frame, Paula was right there to help us through the next steps! She was very nice from beginning to end.

I went to the Ashley Home store in Columbia MD recently. Even though I did not purchase anything, Kevin the sales manager was very help, polite to me as a customer and very professional!!! We purchased a twin upholstered storage bed for my daughter. While the furniture itself is great, our experience has been anything but. We initially found the bed online and went to the store to see if we could order it there to avoid the $200 shipping charges. We were simply told yes, there would just be a $40 fee. When we went to put the bed together, the storage drawers were not included. It turns out when purchased online they come with the order; when purchased from the franchise store, they are sold separately (bed online and in store cost the same). I had to speak to multiple people to get the cost of the drawers discounted since we were mislead so badly about the product. When we finally got the drawers and put them together, they didn’t fit under the bed. The employee who placed the order ordered the queen bed drawers. I was initially told that I ordered the queen sized drawers. No I did not. The employee said I would get a call back in 10 minutes. An hour and a half later, I still hadn’t received a call, so I called the store again. I was finally told I could return the drawers and they would order the correct ones. All in all, between ordering, picking up, dealing with ordering the drawers, picking them up, returning them, and then needing to pick up the new ones, We have tripled the number of trips we needed to make to this store, not to mention the wasted assembly time of the drawers that were the wrong size. I will not recommend this particular store.

Terrible customer service from John (a manager?). Misleads customers and is very rude and condescending. Avoid this location. Apparently they are an independent franchise so you won’t get any help from corporate headquarters if you run into any issues.

In-store service is fine. Customer service after purchase is AWFUL. They make you sit on hold, don’t return calls, and don’t fix a manufacturer error, despite the fact that technician told us that it is the most common defect he sees with the furniture that we purchased. So much for that 5-year warranty.

Great store with lots of a huge selection to fit many design styles. Fatima is an excellent salesperson. She took her time to help me select the perfect furniture for my bedroom and dining room. She also recommended colors and accent pieces to compliment the furniture and tie everything together. She has a talent for design and extremely patient. Nice selection and good warranty. Need to update tried to use warranty. Company is out of state and a month before they can schedule. Then they kept sending emails and texts asking me to schedule not reschedule. Problem is you only get machine. So, it's like a big game. I will update when I finally get service. So, service tech came out after we received part. Found that the installer of the sofa bent a piece, he straightened it out and our couch is new. Service company could get the schedule to move better.

Poor slow service. The items delivered we’re mostly defective and some items were still not available. Some items were attempted to be delivered but hardware was missing so they took it back. One dresser was taken back due to defect. Now they want to send a technician to my residence to inspect defective items but no one has called to set that up. No one called to tell me where the rest of my furniture is. You call and they don’t answer or they answer and put you on hold. Not sure when I will have everything delivered and when items will be fixed. Quality is not so great. We purchased a dining room set, 2 bedroom sets, a family room set, living room set and 2 sets of 3 piece coffee table sets . This experience will never take me back to this location. Very sad that this is the type of service you receive after spending so much of your hard earned money. Delivery guys only talked about getting a good tip and they just started to bring things inside. In my opinion if someone asks for a tip they may get nothing, but if you just do your job without expectations l, then you may get more then you anticipated. I hate when someone asks for a tip which is based on the experience and service provided.

Our bedroom is on the smaller side, and Logan was very helpful in offering alternative ideas within the Porter collection (which we loved!) to fit in our space. Buyer beware. We had a defective sofa less than 1 year after purchasing. The warranty Ashley offers on their products is useless. Ashley makes it impossible to use the warranty on their low quality products due to their terrible customer service. The warranty office constantly cancels technician appointments without warning, but they won’t process a return/ exchange/repair without having a tech visit. Calling them is a futile process of being placed on hold for hours and reexplaining the issue in full each time to incompetent employees. The store managers can’t help you if you have an issue with your furniture in the warranty period. They’ll direct you to the warranty/corporate office phone line. This store specifically made multiple unfulfilled promises to assist/return calls. Ashley doesn’t stand behind their warranty. Don’t buy. After 6 months of trying to resolve the issue, we had to dispute the charge. It was the biggest hassle dealing with Ashley, I would never buy one of their products again.
UPDATED12/21: I am still waiting for my delivery that has been postponed at least 4 TIMES! I have been waiting since November 2022 and I’m told it’s been postponed until January 2023(the last postponement date)?! And who is to say I will get in January? It was delayed since I ordered the item. Since Ashley has not offered to compensate me for their lack of professionalism, I plan to go to your competitor for my future purchases and I am canceling my credit card. In addition I will be shopping with them and canceling my order with Ashley — this is about the “process”, not the people. This “process” is completely unfair and unprofessional to the consumer. —Friendly Staff (Columbia, Md location). Thank you Jack and everyone for assisting.

Extremely rude, unprofessional and deameaning behavior displayed by the manager (?) towards customers and his own employees. Our sales associate was super helpful and answered all of our questions promptly. We made our way to the front desk to complete our purchase when a short, bald caucasian male manager berated the associate in front of us when asked a question about the return policy. We promptly cancelled our purchase and will never be back.
So I am posting about he customer service at this time, not the furniture itself since I have not had it enough time to use it! BUT, we spend a lot of money at this store and bought pretty much a whole house full of furniture. My sales person was very friendly, the Manager, now Regional Manager was very helpful and friendly BUT the 2 representatives that work at the front counter and help schedule deliveries were 100% great at what they do. Joseph and Anshika went above and beyond to find my furniture and get it to me in a reasonable time. These two were amazing and anyone would be so lucky to have them as employees. Both are awesome and we thank you guys so much!

I usually don’t leave reviews but for this shopping experience I had to. I was looking for a mattress, after zero success at the local chain mattress stores. I went into the Ashley store in Columbia MD with the expectation that I would go home just as disappointed as previous shopping trips. I followed the signage to the “Blowout Mattress Sale” and had the pleasure of working with Kelly. She gave me space to explore then was helpful and entertaining when I made a selection. I was going to buy the floor sample but Kelly found the mattress new in stock and scheduled delivery. My checkout was quick and professional with a young man whose name escapes me. I will definitely be going back and looking for Kelly when I furnish my house. Thanks again Kelly!

READ THE REVIEWS FIRST, I WISH I WOULD HAVE... I am currently having the worst experience ever with Ashley's in Columbia. I initially purchased furniture around August/September 2021. My first delivery which took place around February was for the wrong merchandise so I had to have the order corrected. So in May, I receive notification that all of my components are in and ready for delivery. So I scheduled a donation of my old furniture based on my delivery date for the new furniture. Needless to say Habitat for Humanities picked the furniture up the day before my delivery. On the morning of my delivery, I received a message that two parts are not in. Wait a minute... delivery will not be scheduled until all parts have been received by the warehouse. For several weeks 3 parts were in and we were waiting for the 4th piece. Now when it's time to deliver, 2 pieces are missing. So the manager wants to say that they were having inventory issues. Not at all, they gave my furniture to another customer, that's what they did. So now trying to get this resolves and you have to track people down for an update or reply. Furthermore, it is like looking for Mars with a microscope trying to get a number or email to file an official complaint with the corporate office. I am thoroughly frustrated and disappointed in the service received. I will never shop at any store owned by this franchise again. I will travel 1000 miles for a furniture store. Absolutely disgraceful and extremely poor customer service. A year ago, I probably would have given them rave reviews during the $5000 purchase process because they care about the dollar but definitely not the customer.

I bought a rocking recliner and had it delivered about 5 months ago. I went to take the back off since I have to move it, the clips holding the back on were the only thing holding it together! I'm a small person, but even with daily use it certainly should have lasted longer. I'm hoping I can fix it but if not, that's several hundred dollars wasted.

Had a great experience recently with the sales associate Derin. He was incredibly personable and knowledgeable in helping us find a sectional. Immediately off the bat I could tell he knew his stuff and that he cared about us finding the right furniture.
Logan was very helpful and, most importantly, sold us couches for a price that my wife was happy with.
While the employees in store were always friendly and pleasant to deal with, our overall experience was not good. Ordered a new bedroom set in May 2021, with most items being "10-12 weeks" to get. Fast forward a year, and we finally received the remaining items. Since missing the estimated "in-stock window", we, not the store, had to continually make phone calls to get updates on the order...Making matters worse, during delivery, our wood floors where scratched and not brought to our attention...The delivery crew, whether deliberate or not, placed the furniture on top of the damage, so it was not discovered until we moved the piece into it's final spot. We immediately reported the claim, detailing the issue, and providing pictures ... They of course denied any wrongdoing and denied the claim. I've now spent 3 weeks since emailing and calling attempting to find out the appeals process. My emails are now being ignored, and my phone messages are not being returned. Wish I would have read thru the reviews prior to going here, as this does not seem to be isolated.
Our experience was awful. Placed my order on February 27th of this year and confirmed that all items were in stock. We ordered a bedroom set and a coffee table set. They said furniture would be available from 8-12 weeks. I went back the end of May and they said they were waiting on a headboard, even tho they claimed all items were in stock. They also said it would not be available until July. This would cost us as we rent a condo that we purchased the furniture for an our prime rents time is June and July. They finally confirmed a delivery a few days later. Then my husband took off work for delivery and they cancelled it saying that the headboard was damaged. They didn’t know when they could confirm another delivery. Again it cost us bc my husband had to take off for nothing and drive 6 hours for nothing. We were told by Ms. Robinson who works at Mid Atlantic delivery that it was damaged and she didn’t know if it was the warehouse or not. I asked for a number for the warehouse and she said that there was no phone there. So now the dispatch, warehouse and Ashley furniture store have lied to us. I went to the store and spoke with the Manager, Sam who, at first, said they couldn’t do anything. It was only when I threatened him and company with Better Business Bureau that he would take my offer of supplying us with a metal frame until headboard came in. Throughout my interactions with Sam, it was made clear to me that he thought this was funny because he continued to chuckle and laugh (his mask was pulled down to chin) and I could see and hear it. Never ever will I go back to purchase anything from this store and I have filed a claim with Better Business Bureau in hopes that they can look into this further…

Do not shop at this or any Ashley's store for that matter. I ordered furniture 8/2021, and am still waiting for it 8 months later. Had I known the timeline would be this delayed I would have chosen a different route. I'm not a Karen and completely understand the backlogs with supply chain due to COVID but 8 months is absurd. When you try to cancel the order they want to charge you 10% and a restock fee- ummmmmm... hate to state the obvious but there is no restock because you don't have it!! I ordered three items, and have had to continue to call about each because even though some have arrived at the warehouse they don't like to deliver separately (under normal waiting periods I understand). But to not make exceptions or to try and make their customers happy, they instead want me to call in every few months and essentially bargain with them to delivery one piece at a time. And guess what, one of the pieces they did deliver, you can tell had tape all over it and took some of the color out of the piece. I was not home at time of delivery or I would have asked them to take back. After I saw it, I was so mad because I essentially know I have no recourse and don't want to waste my time or energy arguing for someone to come pick it up and then redeliver again in 5 months, when I do actually need a dresser. Don't waste your time or money, consider overstock or something of the sort- for my daughters bed I saw something similar on overstock compared to what they had in the store and I had it in 3 days, same time period with COVID delays. And to make matters worse, I could have bought the same dresser set on overstock but just happened to be in the store that day and decide to shop "local" instead. One star and a lot of 4 letter words for this store..

I will never buy anything from Ashley while the sales acociant was really nice but the furniture has still not arrived. We ordered a dining table with chairs and it has been fouR months and has not arrived. They called us saying it would arrive in two three months then later after 3 months sayed it will be arriving in 2 weeks then thre days before the delivery they told us it will be delayed. If you actually want to buy something marlo furniture is the best option would rate it 0 but us not an option
My experience here has been horrible. I ordered a set of couches with missing throw pillows and have been calling for 2 months regarding this issue. Everyone I call I am told ‘someone will call you’ or also ‘I have no access to the email that was sent, only one employee can read the email’. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! When I ask to speak to a manger I’m told the manager is unavailable. I still have yet to receive my throw pillows. Then I returned tried to return an mirror that I never accepted to be placed into the house and was refunded a different amount that was paid for. When I brought it to the employees attention he told me ‘we have no idea how Ashley furniture charges their customer, we are only allowed to return what shows up in the computer’ No one communicates with anyone here and the employees need to be trained on proper customer service. Completely unacceptable.
Paula L. was excellent to work with. Knowledgeable, not at all pushy, above and beyond. Helped me stage the furniture, unscrewed the legs to see if I could switch them out, just a tremendous help. Ashley is lucky to have her, she definitely made this sale!

Second time my husband and I were not able receive our furniture. Horrible delivery service, these two men we trying to force my husband to sign a “NoFit”wavier. Not knowing I am fluent in Spanish both stated “F” this it’s the end of the day and I’m tired put it back on the back of the truck! I will never purchase another item. Customer service is very important and it also applies to third party delivery service as well! I WOULD GIVE NOT EVEN ONE STAR FOR THIS EXPERIENCE! However, it was necessary for posting….
The store had a beautiful selection of furniture and I fell in love with a couch I just had to have! Logan Gatrell assisted me and couldn't be more helpful and patient especially with me asking for the numbers on so many different pieces. I would definitely return to do more business with him.
Dont honor warranty or returns bad customer service and thirsty organization. I’ll never ever shop Ashley again. Don’t do it. I bought a bedroom set and it’s falling apart in less than a year and they will not cover my warranty. The store nor the warranty company. 6 months furniture delivery time. They had the foreign rep try and bait me into a discussion that will void my claim. They got every excuse in the book not to repair or replace this stupid dresser. My bed is already squeaking too. Just a greedy and thirsty big company. Run 🏃♀️ 3/16/22: Sent my info and they still are excusing themselves for the bad craftmanship because I moved. The warranty from the only covers scratches. Save yourself the headache. My other order for furniture was sent in from another store in Nov. 2021 here it is March and I still havent received my delivery. Trash...Never buying from Ashley again. You have to read the fine print and be a lawyer to understand what should be common courtesy in business. Watch your back from them. I normally do not leave a review, but my experience has been pretty terrible so I felt compelled to. I ordered couches in July and they were supposed to arrive in September. The original shipment of couches showed up 2 months late in November, but the couches were damaged so badly that they would not leave them at my home. Three weeks later in early December the next shipment came. The delivery men damaged my storm door when moving them inside and one of the couches was damaged again. Ashley furniture said they could not deal with damages until the deliveries were complete. At the end of December, the replacement couch arrived finally with no damages to it. It is now the end of January, and Ashley furniture still has not done anything about the damage to my storm door. They keep saying someone will call me or they are working on it. I have called countless times and nothing happens. Needless to say, I will never order from this company again and would never recommend them to any one. Good luck.
I just bought a rug, couch and sofa with the help of Paula! She was honestly so amazing, answered ALL questions my mother and I had, and double/triple checked availability for the MULTIPLE sectionals we wanted lol We had her running around checking for so much and she did it all with a smile and patience. The is huge problem with their financial system as explaining their policy, they don't explain contact and they are too busy rushing, buyer beware for the sale. If you break contact it 30% restocking fee, now my paper I have home says one thing their's says another please watch all of your transactions and what you are signing, they get a commission 😉.
Absolutely ridiculous experience. I called to update information, not even to check on delivery, and was told that I wouldn’t receive my couch until July (original estimated time was mid-Feb). Then was told that I had to wait to cancel to receive my complete refund. It’s very scammy and unprofessional to not plan to deliver and still hold on cash from a paying customer that now has to start from scratch finding another couch. 1. Why aren’t customers updated once expected delivery dates change?? 2. Why does it take 10 mins for customer service reps to answer the phone, then put you on hold as they have casual conversation? 3. How can you hold money for an item you know you can’t fulfill within the time that YOU quoted? 4. Why would I expect something different from a company with all bad reviews and a horrible reputation? My only advice if for Ashley is to lean on better communication and customer service while you work through supply chain issues. A phone call, email, heads up will go a long way if you Truly value your customers.

Very disappointing, my family has been an Ashley Homestore Furniture company for years and we have furnished a couple of houses with their furniture. While I understand that COVID has caused delays, what has been the worse is the dishonest date estimates for delivery and the lack of response. We feel like we have had to call and go to the store far too much to still not have our complete sofa- ordered May 5, 2021. We are not over 8 months in since ordering without our delivery even in sight. Someone needs to get back to customers that simply want answers and decent customer service for our purchases.
Similar to other reviews, no one greeted or assisted me the first time I visited this location. I went the next day and was helped by Eshaun almost immediately. I'll be picking my furniture up from the warehouse in the future.
Those people are nuts. Imagine that they had a month waiting period for delivery + fees but I can go to the warehouse which is about 15 miles (MD time 2hrs traffic) + $50.00 and if I want to take the one at the store I have to pay an extra $150.00
I went into the store today. It was very hard to get a member of staff to engage with. I eventually got a member of staff and asked some questions about a sofa on display. I explained that particular one was not what I was looking for so she just turned around and walked away. I just walked out then rather than look at anything else. Very poor service.
THE WORST STORE EVER! DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME! They only care to get the money from you! My furniture was never delivered! Such a liars work there! They tell you it is in warehouse and that the manager will call you back. Never ever happened! They don't answer their phone and when finally I was able to get someone on the phone, came up with lots of stories and how you still have to wait. Anyway, after 7 months of waiting, I filed for the dispute.
I want to give this store a 0 star but can’t find the option :( Terrible customer service and horrible experience. They will try to sell you anything and mark it down at such a low price that you won’t be able to walk out without buying. But the frustration starts when you don’t receive anything as weeks and months pass by. If you call customer service, they will tell you that order will first come to the warehouse and then we will schedule a delivery but it’s all hoax. No one will follow up and you will be left with anger, frustration and insanity. The minute you ask for refund, they will tell you that we will deduct 10 percent fee. I bought an expensive terapedic mattress - even if it’s available with 2 day shipping at Amazon I mistakenly opted to purchase here as I got a bundle discount with the bed. Now I don’t have the mattress or the bed and NO ONE called me even if I have called the store at least 10 times. My next complaint would be to BBB - these folks are literally taking advantage of pandemic shipping delays and deceiving customers in collecting all the money upfront without staying in touch with them once the deal is over. Pathetic customer relationship engagement.
We ended up having to cancel our order due to our door not being wide enough, but we had to figure that out ourselves and were not helped at all by the staff. If we hadn't in time we would have ended up with a large charge for nothing and they didn't seem the least bit bothered by that.
Stay away from this store! I visited the store to purchase a bar stool on 11/28 and literally had to walk around the store to find someone to assist me. Once I located someone, I was given the price of $159.00 for the stool and told “I’ll help you when I’m not busy” so I left the store. I returned to purchase the stool on 11/29 since I knew they had the stool in stock and I knew the price. A saleswoman assisted me but this time gave me the price of @$219 and proceeded to tell me eventhough they had two on hand; one on the floor and one on a shelf, she couldn’t sell them to me because they need to have it on hand to show the model. I asked her if they would sell just one, which was all I wanted, since they have two and was told no. This is not a customer friendly store and they obviously don’t want to assist customers. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this store!!!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE... I have never been left more unhappy and dissatisfied with a store. I ordered my furniture in the beginning of June 2021 after buying a new house and have yet to receive any furniture. On the original documentation I signed they made me aware that I should expect a 8-12 week delay. I completely understood this as we were still feeling the effects of COVID-19. But we are now 23 WEEKS LATER!!! What makes it worse is the lack of customer service or willingness to make things right with a further discount or money back. On top of all this I have yet to be reached by anyone from the Columbia store. I have had to call every week now to get any sort of update and all I am told is to sit on hold for 20-30 minutes while they "find more info" and then when they finally do come back to the phone they proceed to give me the same speech of "Well were still having delays on your pieces and the earliest we expect it is 2 more weeks." This last time speaking with a rep I was told the furniture wont even be expected until THE NEW YEAR??? Absolutely will never shop with Ashley's again after this experience. I also sent an email to their customer service department with the same complaints found in this review and have yet to get any sort of feedback from any representative. Please save your time and energy and shop literally anywhere else. I have now been without a couch and bedroom set for 23 weeks please take my advice y'all!
Shop somewhere else for furniture! We bought some furniture for my niece in early July and was told it would likely arrive mid-August. That came and went with a new estimated delivery date in September. That never happened either with a new estimated date set for the second week of October which failed to happen. After three different estimated delivery dates, we sought to cancel the order and.was told we would lose 10% of what we paid unless we did not receive the furniture and cancelled the order after 11/5. On the 4th we finally cancelled the order and obtained a refund. Two friends had very similar experiences albeit with different store locations. Why they sell discount furniture from an outlet store that needs to be manufactured is beyond my understanding. More Importantly is the fact Ashley Furniture mislead us with delivery dates I believe they knew it should have known would not happen. I'd advise shop somewhere else.
Excellent Customer service from AnaMarie at the Columbia MD location. AnaMarie was very kind and accommodating with my furniture delivery order. I needed to push out the delivery date closer to my moving timeframe in December and AnaMarie went above and beyond to assist. She worked closely with my order and followed up with me.
Trust the negative reviews. I should have before I bought a couch from here. Pretty disappointed with my overall experience. Placed an order in the first week of July, quoted 4-12 weeks. They kept pushing back the delivery date each time to the following month. We got tired of waiting so we bought a sectional from Costco and put it where the Ashley's couch would've been. So whenever the Ashley couch gets delivered, we'd just put it in the basement. 17 weeks later it gets delivered. It's too long to fit down the stairs. My mistake. So we ask to return it. The delivery guys, said there would be a stocking fee. Alright. It is a 30% restocking fee. Damn. The salesman offered us free delivery. That was a lie. When we went to checkout we had to pay $90 for delivery, non-refundable of course. And refunds are for Store Credit only. So there is no way to get your money back at all. Delivery fee + 30% restock fee + only store credit = no actual money back I'm sure they will leave a generic reply without even reading my review, asking me to call them and try to work things out.... Well I called their store already and it rang for a few minutes. When they did picked up, they just left it on the desk. I am assuming to make the phone stop ringing. I heard all of the personal information of somebody who was placing an order in store. Such a violation of privacy. Who knows how many times that's happened to other people. Thanks for reading. TLDR: They have a fine print for a reason. I got burned, so hopefully you won't have to.
10/25/21-Do not shop here. Don’t say you haven’t been warned. Paid over $7,000 and ordered a bedroom set along with a mattress and adjustable base in the end of August. Initially told that my bedroom set would take 8 to 14 weeks but then was told it wouldn’t be ready until June 2022! Then was told in order to get a refund, I would need to physically come into the store which we did, but we were then told if we wanted a refund we would have to pay a 10% restocking fee if we cancelled earlier than 14 weeks from time of purchase. We then decided to get something in stock because we basically had no choice. We needed a bedroom set and weren’t about to pay 10% of what we paid to come up empty handed. 2 weeks later our bedroom set was delivered but the head board, side railings and foot board did not fit around the adjustable base that we bought. The installers were very rude and left without completing the installment and took the foot board with them and we were told they would go back to the factory to find another foot board that matches our set and that would fit around our mattress and adjustable base. They never called us back. We then called the store and were then told to physically go back to the store to talk to the manager. My wife went back into the store and once again we got the run around and we’re told that we had to pay more for an alternative or return the adjustable base and use a box spring. Now isn’t it their responsibility as the seller to know that the adjustable base and mattress they sold to us should fit with the purchased bedroom set? Ultimately the manager told us that they had a different adjustable base that would fit the bedroom set and that he would call us that day to confirm. That was 3 days ago and he has never called us. The staff there other than the initial person who sold us the furniture are very unprofessional and they are not truthful. Very frustrating experience. Please be careful before considering purchasing anything from this store. We will NEVER purchase anything from them again.
My husband and I came into the store to purchase a sofa set and we got impeccable service from Hafsa and TJ. Really first class service and they treated us like not just customers but friends and stayed late 30 minutes after their close time to make sure we were content with our purchase. Definately check them out and ask for Hafsa! I have to mention that we have been to this particular store so many times before our purchase and the service is consistent. Waheed helped us out earlier on even before we made our final decision. Everyone there is wonderful. Thank you. We can’t wait to receive our couches.
We were ripped off. After shopping at other furniture stores-who disclosed their couches would not be available for up to 6 months- Ashley said they could get us a couch in 8 weeks. After 6 months of being told “it will be ready in a few weeks” we asked to speak to a manager. After shipping errors, as of today, I still do not have a couch and will be renting a uhaul to pick it up.
The good news was that the sales associate who helped us in May was very helpful as my wife and I picked out furniture for our newly finished basement. And she effectively managed our expectations, telling me that it was likely our furniture would not be in for up to three months; delivery around the end of August. Since the end of August, the goalposts have been moved multiple times, as two pieces of our sectional sofa still had not been delivered. Last month, they told me that these pieces would be in on 10/6. Since nobody ever answers the phone at the store, I drove over, only to find those two pieces are still missing. In speaking to the manager, the story got more interesting. The pieces I am missing are actually in warehouses in the US, but are committed to other orders - PLACED AFTER I PLACED MINE! The manager has reached out to his supervisors to try to rectify this, but after 48 hours, I still can't get an answer. Still, nobody picks up the phone at the store, and the email address the manager gave me won't recognize my emails. Buyer beware - yes, there are supply chain issues around the world. However, whatever system Ashley has for fulfillment doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. I will update this review if/when my order has been fulfilled.
Worst service ever we ordered a couch and a coffee table in march and was told delivery would be made by the beginning of august. I did not recieve anything in august so i called them and was told mid september so i patiently waited. It is now october and i still have no update from them i would atleast appreciate an email or phonecall to keep me updated but i got nothing worst furniture store experience ever will never be buying from here or any Ashley every again id rather stick to Marlo as i always have. If you have the chance please check other stores before stepping foot into this one it is absolutely the worst customer service you can possibly think of!
Do not trust the estimate they give you for how long your furniture will take to ship! After nearly six months (twice as long as specified on my receipt), multiple calls and reassurances that it is "almost done" there's no end in sight for me. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. I am well aware that COVID is causing shortages, but it's completely unacceptable to give people wildly inaccurate expectations about when an order will be fulfilled. Seems like purposeful negligence to sell more product.
Complete joke. Ordered bedroom set in June. Told me would be ready in August. Still not here. I call every 2 weeks. Every time they push the date back. Called tonight now pushed back to end of October. Buyer beware. They have offered me nothing to give me confidence I will even get my order. Just in case anyone was planning on buying anything from Ashley Furniture, don’t do it to yourself. Literally have never had a worse customer service experience. I ordered two replacement couch cushion covers back in March. It is now pretty much October and I still have not received them and I’ve been told they can’t even track them or issue a refund. And this isn’t the first issue I’ve had with them. Last summer, I ordered a chair for my back deck that was missing a piece. It took months for me to hear back from someone and, even when I did, I was told they didn’t have the part so I was SOL. I did FINALLY receive a refund after months of back and forth with them and it almost wasn’t even worth the hassle I had to go through. Before you buy anything with Ashley Furniture, I would highly recommend checking some other furniture stores out first.

If I could do less than 1 star, I would. Ordered an additional piece of my sectional when they were having a sale in March. I was told it would take 8-12 weeks, most likely 12 weeks due to COVID. I was fine with that, I know COVID has had a major impact on everything so I was patient. You'll notice it is now almost October, and I have yet to receive a call. I've called several times throughout the last 7 months, and every time they said it would be another week or so. Again, I was told 12 weeks and it has now been over 30 weeks. I called and requested a refund, and they're making me come into the store to get the refund. Crazy how these people are still in business. I know there's been a lot of negative in this review (although all truth), but I would like to add one positive: I hear its a great place to work. You get paid to do nothing, and get lots of time off.
After searching a lot we loved and booked a sofa & love seat in mid June at Columbia branch . At the time of booking Sales assistance communicated that it will be delivered within 6-8 weeks. We waited for 2 months and called up the store and got to know that delivery date has been pushed to October. My husband followed up again last week and now they are telling that expected date is end of November. Talked to Store manager Eric and he is asking to refer to document which was signed at the time of booking ( Never thought to hear excuses like this ) and it should have written somewhere 20 weeks. The document which I have says "Furniture will be available in 8-12 weeks". I am still waiting for the copy from Store manager though. Totally understand the delay because of pandemic however please do not make false promises at the time of booking and provide clear expectations to the customers. Giving a low rating for now just on delays and I am still hoping that Sofa will be delivered per new dates.
It looks like quality furniture online, but please don't be finessed by the pictures. Yesterday was my first time visiting this store. I was definitely not impressed. The furniture was practically falling apart. The beds on display were sunken in throughout the showroom. If this is a representation of their furniture quality I'll pass.
I ordered furniture, my card was charged and no merchandise. I called customer service was on hold for 20 minutes then was told I would be transferred again. No one answers the phone at the Columbia store. The service is ridiculous. I will be contacting my bank to dispute. UPDATE I received a email stating the furniture would be available 9/27 I still waiting on a phone call I've attached the email as well
I am highly upset. I ordered a bedroom set over 2 months ago and still haven't gotten the whole set delivered. Every time I call the store it take 10 to 15 minutes for someone to answer and when someone finally does they tell me that my nightstands should be at the warehouse on this day then it doesn't arrive. I have had about 5 different dates that my nightstand was supposed to get to the warehouse and still not there and so I'm making payments on something I don't have. I ask to speak to a manager and all I get is that they are busy. No concern for customer satisfaction what so ever. Good luck if decide to get anything. Hope this review helps.
The least trashy thing I saw was the employee cussing, smoking a cigarette, and spitting on the sidewalk (while talking to a co-worker). Go to Bobs, Value City, Ikea, or even goodwill. Terrible prices for low end furniture that takes 3-4 months for delivery.
Service was excellent - Emani went above and beyond to find what we were looking for. We called ahead and when we got there, he had a selection for us to see that met all our criteria. The manager was helpful in providing a warranty incentive as well. Would definitely shop here again!

Please do not buy furniture from them. Their furniture is not guaranteed and they do not back their product. My wife and I bought a sectional from them in March. One week after we received the sectional, the recliner on one side stood working. We called customer service for more than 3 weeks we could not get of someone. We ent to the store in Columbia and one of the customer reps stated someone will give us a call to set up appointment with the technician. It took another 4 weeks before we get a call from the rep and she set up the appointment. It took the tech more than 3 wks again to come to my place to check the sectional. He left and stated that they will order the part and once the part arrive, he will come back to fox the sectional. Its been more than 3 months since he left my house and I have not heard from him or Ashley Furniture. I will be stopping by their store one of this days to tell them to pick up their section and refund me my money.....PLEASE DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THEM. THEY ARE SCAM. ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY THEY WILL NOT FOLLOW UP WITH YOU
If I could give less than a single star I would. I ordered a living room set which included a sofa and two end chairs back in May 2021. The end chairs came a week or so later but the sofa has yet to be deliver. We were told it would be delivered by the 1st or 2nd week of August but still have yet to receive any status on it. Each time I've called to get an ETA gets push by another 2 weeks. At this point I have no clue when the sofas will arrive. I've asked to return end chairs it since I can't get a clear answer on when the sofa will be delivered. They say they do not accept any returns after 72 hours which is pretty ridiculous since I had no idea that the sofa would take longer than the first ETA. The manager Eric Davis and sales rep Aziz Ayad were not helpful and just gave me a customer service number which we already called.
This is me again updating fellow buyers about ridiculously they are still delaying my furniture. I called the store to talk about how December would be too late for my Furniture and learned that it was even further delayed to January which I am sure is still not accurate. This is very frustrating and I am letting you know here that I am filing a consumer court complaint against this store to get compensated for the hassle we have been going through. I want the compensation RIGHT NOW so I can buy other piece of furniture. Hopefully consumer court does the justice. Very very disappointing experience of buying furniture from Ashley. Ordered this set in March and haven’t yet received it. I don’t even feel like giving one star. Such poor customer service at the store whenever you call people assure you call back with exact timeline of the furniture but they never call back. I would not recommend buying furniture from here. Received one piece after so much request on Medical condition now rest of the set is missing. We are in middle of nowhere as the set needs to match which i don’t know if we will ever receive. SO DISAPPOINTING
Unfortunately, not a good experience. I ordered a dining table set with them but the delivery was incomplete (missing tabletop.. just imagine!) and chairs aren't comfortable as I felt in the store. I'm thinking to cancel my another order (bedroom set).
The experience with Ashley Furniture has been the worst of my existence. If you plan to shop here I am warning you DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY at Ashley Furniture. The service is horrific. At this point they have stole money from my credit card. I purchased an in-stock item in May 2021. I was promised delivery 4-differebt delivery dates all of which were canceled on the day of. 4 different times!!!! That is unacceptable. To top it off no one ever calls me to reschedule or apologize. Save yourselffrom a headache and purchaseelsewhere.

I ordered a dresser through this Ashley Furniture location. I was called to arrange a delivery a month in advance. I was texted again the day prior to delivery to confirm delivery. The morning of delivery I received a call that the dresser never arrived to the warehouse. I called the store and they said that they sent the dresser to the wrong warehouse for some reason. I am yet to receive another call back. I get covid delays - but this was just incompetence. Also - they have serious issues with their phones. Every time I call there is significant electronic interference. They claim that it’s a known issue but makes all dealings with this store a nightmare. I will not return after my dresser is delivered.
Walked around the store and none of the customer service reps approached us. They were too busy sitting on one of the couches talking. Another customers wanted service as well however they were to involved in their personal conversations to assist.
Terrible! If my order was not already partially fulfilled I would try to cancel the entire order. The communication is poor and the order fulfillment time is ridiculous. When they happen to answer the phone they offer little to no consolation for their lack of commitment to their word. I would never order from this location and much less from this company ever again. In addition to the poor service I have had my sectional for little more than an month and an internal staple is already poking through and scratching you when you pass the edge. For the price of their furniture you'd expect better quality and service. I am totally unsatisfied with the order and even more so the service they provide. I am not being dramatic when I say one of my greatest regrets is ordering furniture from this place.

I stopped in the Ashley HomeStore Columbia location this afternoon because they were having one their many sales. I saw a nice sofa and loveseat and Sales Associate Derin Belanger was happy to assist. He was very helpful and helped me decide on buying. Customer Service Representative Anshika Sharma was also very pleasant and provided great service. They make a great team!!
I had a great experience. Rhiannon Neagle is an excellent salesperson- knowledgeable of the product(s), not pushy, very patient. Her and Anshika were awesome! I would definitely recommend this location and Rhiannon for potential/future/all customers!

Went to find a new mattress and bed set and couldn't be happier with my experience at the store. Rhiannon knew exactly what I was looking for and she was more then a big help to find which mattress was best for my back! She also showed me a perfect bed frame in a color scheme that I love! I had a great furniture experience. My sales associate was very detailed and patient with me, I asked a lot of questions. Here's a tip always check the Clearance area. I found a love seat and chair almost identical to the one on the show room floor for $200 less. Only thing is that it can take 8 -14 weeks to get the new furniture!

The customer in store was fantastic but the driver service and customer service I received has been by far the WORSE customer service I have ever received. My furniture arrived in a timely matter even due to COVID-19 but when the driver service guys arrived ( window time 4pm-7pm) they arrived at 6:15pm and seemed as they were in a hurry. Upon even getting the sofa off the truck the older delivery guys says " oh it's not going to fit up the stairs without even trying and yelling" I stated how would you know if you dont try. With much attitude the delivery guy tells and continues to have an attitude. So only have of my furniture was brought up to the second floor and the other piece of the sectional was left downstairs. I asked the older delivery guy would it be easier if I took off the railing. He then asked me how much would I pay him to remove four brackets.Then messaged Ashley Furniture through Facebook and was ensured this was not professional and I would be reimbursed a portion of my delivery and set up fee. While June 9th is when my furniture was delivered and as of today (June 25th) I have been given the run around that someone would contact me and it would be escalated to a manager and I have yet to hear from ANYONE.
I purchased some furniture here and the Manager was so welcoming and nice. He told assured me that I would have my furniture by the time I moved into my apartment in June and this was back in April. I called several times and each person tht would answer would place me on hold for the longest time until I decided to hang up and call again. It was told to me that it would arrive a week from they said and when I called during that they switched and said it’s not in and again assured me it would be in the next week. Then ultimately the last two said it would be in by the end of this week only to find out that it would not be delivered until the end of the month. I will be out tod town during the time of delivery but insisted that the furniture would be sent back to the warehouse until I return. Lastly, I called to cancel and the representative stated it would be a 10% charge for furniture I never received. Find another reliable furniture company. I will never recommend and this was my first and last experience.
The absolute worst service ever. I waited 3 months for my furniture which is still not here and then they said another 3 weeks when they do get it. I canceled tho whole order. I will never go here again
If could give this store/company minus 5 ⭐ I would!! I ordered 2 chest dressers on January 24th I was told I should have my furniture by the end of March. April, May, June no dressers. I made several calls the customer service it's just bad 👎. Even went to the store in Columbia MD witch is a 30 min drive for me got the run around... Went to the store again today 6/3/21 still no delivery date? Got my money back!!! Do not buy anything from this store/company !!!😡 negative 5 ⭐s......
Don’t buy from here. Sales associates sell you useless warranties and when your furniture breaks they tell you there’s nothing they can do. Bought a $1000 bed that’s broken in 2 years. Proceed with Caution!!!!

I have gotten furnature from Ashley before without problems but I recommended to my father to buy from them and it has been a disaster. He bought all new furniture from them for his new condo. His chairs for his kitchen and night stand have not come in. We agreed that we would pick up these items and have had the date changed 3 time when I call they say we are still with in the 12 weeks. This is ridiculous for the money that was spent. I will not recommend this store again!

I have been a customer with other stores over the years but this is my first and last experience with the franchise. Store # 6100 at Dobbins Road, Laurel has horrible customer service. The store seems to be ran by teenagers, the manager Timothy Mose is very disrespectful and totally clueless about customer service. I waited 35 minutes pass my appointment time for a deliver and missed a very important doctor’s appointment for my kids and all he said was “hey things happen”. I wouldn’t recommend that particular store to anyone. I asked for the corporate number and they gave me the wrong number as well. Since they have zero regard for customers then I won’t be doing business with them anymore. If I hear from anyone regarding this incident I will be surprised too because even when I tried to follow up about my delivery three times prior they never called back to give an update.

I wish I had read reviews before shopping here. I too would give this Ashely furniture store 0/10 stars. The false advertising delivery dates and terrible customer service are absolutely unacceptable. I ordered a dining room table and chairs as well as an L-shaped couch on January 9th. I was told 8-12wks but it would almost certainly be delivered sooner. I understand that there are some manufacturing /delivery slow downs due to covid but it is UNACCEPTABLE TO LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS, do not tell me it will be sooner than 8-12weeks unless you know for sure, do not tell me that because your daddy is part of the delivery service you can almost guarantee that it will be here before 8wks when it has been 15wks and I still have yet to be contacted by these people. I have pretty much had to call these people on a weekly basis to check on the status of my order because they have not once contacted me, even when they tell me "oh it should be in the warehouse by tomorrow and we'll give you a call." It has now been 15wks since I placed my order, which had an original predicted delivery date of 1st week of March. The dining room set is IN THE WAREHOUSE and they still will not deliver it because the L-shaped arm of the couch is not in yet, all I get when I call to request this is "I don't have permission to rapid delivery it to you and would have to send and email out for permission." Then send the email you lazy employee, I have been living without a dining room table for 15 weeks, the last piece of my couch is not due for another 2 weeks (likely more lies) and you won't deliver furniture I have already paid for and that is available?? Absolutely unacceptable. Never shopping at Ashely furniture again and I recommend that anyone thinking about purchasing furniture from here thinks twice before even walking in the store.

Save your money. Don't waste your time. They have "sales" which is compensated with crazy mark up prices. They quote a delivery date and don't deliver for 2 months later. I ordered in November 2020. STILL WAITING. Managers are not helpful either. Don't say you weren't warned. Update Sept 2021: furniture has not yet been delivered. Filing a complaint with Maryland Better Business Bureau. Please look at Ashley's BBB score before buying.
I would seriously give them 0/10 stars. I knew my order would take 8-12 weeks but when it comes with damages, that is unacceptable. It came with damage that they visibly patched up but want to do a service call to fix furniture that I bought new that was clearly used. I asked for district manger, they claim they have none. No one wants to help. February 2021 and I have not heard back from anyone. I will never shop again from Ashley furniture. The quality was horrible and customer service is the same.

Terrible! Just like everyone else, I have been waiting on my order since December 2020. Everytime I call the store, I'm getting the run around. They tell me part of my order has arrived, but for some reason they are giving me a hard time on at least delivering the part that's available. I keep being told my order is coming next week; they are going to send emails to find out about a split delivery; or call back tomorrow. What a waste. Won't order from them ever again. Wish I could give their customer service no stars. They won't even let you speak to the manager.
DON’T BUY HERE! 24 WEEKS LATER AND STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN FURNITURE WE ORDERED JN SEPT. 2020!!!!! Read all the recent reviews on here from people like us who have ordered and have yet to receive any Indication of when our furniture will ever arrive if and when that actually happens. We have had to go as far as to cancel items we originally wanted to swap out with what they had in stock because we needed furniture in our new home. EVEN THEN we got multiple different responses from multiple different managers on what was actually in stock and wasn’t and when it would arrive. COMPLETE AND UTTER MESS!! We have called multiple times to follow up on our order and have been given generic and unhelpful responses quoting 2 weeks but that has been happening since December. Additionally managers have been unhelpful and uncoordinated and unapologetic to our issues. Lastly customer service reps refuse now to allow us to talk with managers regarding our items and have billed us for furniture we have yet to receive. On top of all of this the delivery men who delivered parts of our order damaged our wood floors and walls while bringing in furniture and were extremely aggressive when confronted. We received damaged/stained furniture on top of all of this after weeks of waiting only to be told corporate ( who you can never get in touch with) has to approved refunds or discounts on issues related to your order and can only refund you when all items are delivered. HOW CONVENIENT!! We tried to file claims on our furniture only to send repeated email after email on our issue to go unanswered. The only way we have been able to get anything resolved is by going to the store and confronting managers and sales reps on the spot. But beware every time you go in or talk to someone you will hear a different answer. I wish I never ordered from here, it’s been a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!! HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SELL FURNITURE YOU DONT HAVE?!? STOP DECEIVING YOUR CUSTOMERS!! I won’t be surprised if they go out of business after all of this which they deserve for taking orders and billing customers for unreceived, and damaged items.

Ordered a couch in Oct 2020. They said it would take 2 months. I said ok. Dec 2020 rolls around. Haven't heard anything. When I call the store in Columbia MD some guy answers the phone mumbling and I can barely understand what he's saying. He asks for my phone number to check my order. He says it's gonna be pushed back 4 more weeks. I say ok. Jan 2021- still no couch. But after trying to escalate thru CS, Facebook and Twitter a manager finally calls me back. They say it'll be end of Feb that I get my couch. Now it's March 2021. No couch. I just want to cancel and get a refund. I can barely get someone on the phone!!! A woman keeps picking up amd putting me on hold. I've called 3 times in the last 3 days and haven't gotten anywhere. Worst customer experience Eve. I would not recommend.

Came to the store trying out couches after exhausting my options as I needed something specific. On my way out John helped me out and I must say took care of everything and found me exactly what I wanted for a long time. I’m not the person who writes reviews but this guy is absolutely fantastic. Ordered our bedroom furniture September 20th as of today Feb 22nd still no furniture, have spoken to multiple reps and multiple managers. Delivery dates are clearly falsified, claims about covid preventing manufacturing is plain ridiculous at this point. Promised 8-12 week delivery and it’s now 5 months with no updates, no follow up calls from management. I’ve been lied to so many times on the phone, I can’t even count. I am a patient person who typically does not leave reviews, but this experience has been so horrible, I have to dissuade anyone from purchasing anything from this store.
WARNING! Do not purchase or believe any promises from this store. They are quick to make any deal with you but do not have access to product. The bedroom set we’ve waited for over 4 months for is still on display and being sold there, even though they have no way to obtain the product. Customer service is disorganized and trained to just tell you “two more weeks.” I’m pretty sure these locations will go out of business soon and are currently just running a ponzi-like scheme to evade the inevitable. They’re taking your money this month to pay operating costs and refund orders from prior months. Just beware. The whole experience was bad for us and we went into it with full understanding of the wait times due to covid. Unfortunately, with no communication from them and receiving the same recycled message when we would check-in, we’ve made the decision to cancel our order. Just hoping they actually have the cash available for a refund. Will not be at all surprised to learn “store credit” is the only thing available. Great, store credit to use on the variety of nothing you have to actually sell.
Love their furniture, but follow up customer service is horrible. I’ve left messages (plural) for the store manager and no call back, but I got calls back when I was buying. Delivery service is horrible and, in my opinion, untrained. Would like to leave a great review just can’t do it if they don’t value customers AFTER the sale by avoiding calls and addressing concerns.
Still waiting for our furniture we ordered back in September of 2020. Can’t get anyone to answer the phone. I will be visiting the location soon for an update but I doubt I’m shopping there again.
First i will start with the positives. We ordered a full bedroom set from the Columbia store and the furniture that came was in good order for the most part and what wasn’t was replaced. THE BAD- the people that deliver the mattress for our second order are crooks. They damaged my mattress that we ordered a couple weeks after the furniture bringing it into my home and told me they would come back for it and replace it. They had me sign something saying that it was to confirm delivery and that they would replace the mattress. Whelp... i called the store to schedule a replacement and they said i signed something saying that i claimed responsibility for the damage. So the delivery people flat out LIED. Shame on me for not reading what i signed but they handed me a phone to sign with nothing on it. Lesson learned but i thought i could take someone at their word. After multiple phone calls to them I’m giving up and living with it but don’t make the same mistake and go somewhere that honors their word and had some semblance of customer service.

I purchased a sectional couch back In June, and the delivery people scratched the hell out of my walls and messed up part of the couch. They took back one piece that was too big for another. We are in Mid august and still nothing. They keep delaying the new delivery date for the other love seat that is missing. They finally sent a repair man to come fix the damages the delivery guys made and after 50 plus days they came and said there is nothing they can do but order another piece. Now corporate store does not want me to return this sectional because i had it for so long. So now is my fault that they are taking forever to deliver the rest of the love seat and now a new piece has to be order because it was messed up by their people. I have to keep calling them about the scratches on my wall claim and they put you on hold for hours as if we enjoyed being on hold for that long until you can't wait anymore. I was so happy with the purchase but had no idea it was going to cost me a headache dealing with the store, corporate, and the poor customer service i have been getting. I want to return everything even if cost me a fee. I AM DONE WITH THIS STORE!!!! Update from 5 months ago. Finally got my full couch after 4 months. The damages they caused was never paid for. They said 100 dollars for the damage they caused and they can’t even send that. This places needs to be AVOIDED at all cost.

I have to say we had a good experience with Ashley’s. Bought a beautiful sofa and love seat. It was in stock and we made sure before purchasing as we needed something right away. We got our furniture within a week. Understanding the furniture is delayed due to covid but this is everywhere. This is not Ashley’s fault. The receptionist was super sweet. Don’t want to say her name wrong but I think it’s Kamari. If we need furniture in the future we will purchase from Ashley’s as they were upfront with what they had and didn’t.
Very very very bad customer service. I purchased a whole bedroom set and 2 desks for my kids ! They called and confirmed that they will deliver it before the end of September and didn’t hear from them till today. I called and after 2 hours trying to reach out they said they desks didn’t arrive and they SHOULD receive it by end of October and there’s nothing they can do ! They were very unprofessional, not respectful to their customer and they are selling you stuff that they can’t deliver ! Will NEVER buy anything from them ever again! Edited January 6, 2020 Don’t buy anything from them! They have back order on everything. they take your money and leave you waiting! I ordered a bedroom set and two desks from them august 6. They delivered the bedroom with missing accessories and since then I have been waiting for the desks .every time I call they give me a date and no one shows up or at least call. When I went to refund the desks they charged me after waiting 5 months . Worst customer service ever. Nothing in there is unique so find a place where they can treat their customer better and respect them.
We ordered a sectional in the beginning of September. It is now the end of December and it is. It expected to arrive until the end of January. Every time I call to get an update on delivery, the delivery date gets pushed back 3 weeks. We were quoted 8-12 weeks at the time of purchase being told that 12 weeks was the maximum we would wait due to covid. No sales associate or manager could Give us answers or help us with this late delivery issue. The service is terrible and I would strongly not recommend this store for ANY of your furniture needs. They will take your money and never send you your product.
HORRIBLE decision to purchase a sectional from this store. When purchasing we were guaranteed a 8-12 week timeline. This was with specific consideration to COVID and was made very clear when we ordered. We are currently at 17 weeks without the couch and no clear date for when it will arrive. Every time we call we are given a new date that it “will arrive”. This has happened 4 times since the 12 week mark when it was late. We went into the store to discuss a solution and the sales representatives were unapologetic and not helpful at all, even once mangers were brought in. They would not give us any additional information and refused to offer any compensation. Absolutely will never purchase another item with them again & I highly suggest that nobody else even considers them when shopping for furniture.

Terrible Store! Sold us a discontinued item and never informed us. After ten weeks I had to call them to find out the status, they didn’t even bother to call or look into it. Oh and they gladly took our money when we first ordered it. We put in the order in Sept, and apparently the item was discontinued in July. Yet somehow the store had no idea the item was discontinued. Please tell me how you don’t know that your own item (Ashley couch) that you make, is discontinued. I had called around to find a floor model at the capitol heights store. The capitol heights store would not give them the love seat because it was discontinued and would only sell as a set. Took about 5 calls to the Columbia store to actually get a response and talk to a manager. Absolutely terrible customer service. We will not be shopping with Ashley again due to this. After calling numerous times and not getting a response we cancelled our order. They wanted me to come in to cancel the order.
I made a big order from Ashley on December 9 2020. They gave me an 8-12 week window for delivery, which is today but I have no received half my order. Every time I call, I am connected to people who do not speak proper English, and can not carry q conversation on the phone. My had board came with a big crack on the leg, making it unsafe for me to use, but after failing to receive a reply from customer service for over a month, I finally got someone else on the phone who understood the issue and said they would be in touch. It has been over a week since then and I have not had a response, and when I called, they said customer service did not see the damage, and are refusing my exchange. If I try to cancel my order now, they are asking a 10% RESTOCK FEE FOR ITEMS THEY DO NOT HAVE IN STOCK. Find the Ashley item you like, and go to offerup, where they have all Ashley products for much cheaper and without the terrible customer service.
Hopeless place. There is no professionalism, no attempt to keep their word, no follow-ups. A lot of mis-leading information, false claims and discordant responses. We purchased stuff over 3 months ago and were told a delivery time in early nov. it is now early December and all we still get is "the stuff is here, waiting to be scanned" but when you call next day "the stuff is not here yet". We were told back in noV that some of the stuff is here BUT they cannot do a split delivery until 3 months after the order. however, now 3 months later, no signs of split delivery -- completely ridiculous and no substance in any word they say. Would strongly suggest against purchasing from here if you want to maintain your sanity.
Has not been a good experience honestly. I've had to deal with 2 sales people. The first order the sectional opposite of the way I wanted, and with the layout of my apartment, needed. The next day I get a call about correcting, but they have now discontinued the sectional, so I must choose a different design. I did not find any that would fit the dimensions I needed, had the layout I needed, or made me feel excited about the $800 I already have paid. No refunds, store credit only.

The sales people are very nice but you will never receive your furniture... they will call you and tell you it should be in stock in two weeks and then they will not call you again. I ended up cancelling my order and buying a love sac (which arrived to my place in less than 2 weeks). Also when you cancel your order they will charge you for 10% of your order.. moral of the story, do not order from here.
Everything was 65% off but once you figure the discount it was priced where it should have been to start with. The sales associate greeted us never gave us his name then immediately ran off telling us to find him if we need help. When we needed help I found him he said he would be right back and took forever yo return.
I bought the sofa at here in 8/16/2020, but I have been getting until now 11/21/2020. they told me that this sofa will come to me in 6~12 weeks, but they broke this promise without any notice. So, I called this branch, they still didn't know when this sofa will come to me. Collectively, I am just waiting for this sofa without any information, notice, arriving date. it is so terrible. If I had known this happen, I wouldn't have bought it . I will never buy any furniture here again. I want you consumers who want to buy here to know this information, so I hope you don't go through such terrible things.

I am in the process of furnishing my new home and I thought I would take a look. I actually saw a set of couches I loved and although it was a bit more expensive than I wanted, I was ready to buy it... Little did I know that the people that work in this store do not want to sell furniture. I was in there for more than 15 minutes and several of them walked by me, not one didn't even acknowledge my existence. I even looked a couple of them directly in the eye. Nothing. Not even a "Hello." Maybe I am invisible. Good to know.
This is the worst place we have ever dealt with. I have never had such a bad customer experience anywhere else. When we went over to the store in Columbia to buy furniture for our new house, we were told that the furniture would be delivered within 2-6 weeks. This was also printed on the receipt that we signed. Now, 2 months later, we are still waiting for our furniture. Every time we call them, they make false promises to us about the delivery date, and then keep pushing it. Apparently somebody hand wrote “8-12 weeks” on our receipt, and now they are holding us against that. We are now living in our new house for 2 months without a dining table and couch, thanks to the incompetent people that run this place. Don’t ever trust sales associates here! They will dupe you!

The employees were very helpful. The only problem I had was the tacky furniture. It felt like I was sitting on dead animal skin at the trump mansion waiting for Putin.

Not like they use to be. Tried to fool folks with sale. All they did was mark furniture way up then advertised @ 50% off. Price still well above even markdown price. They REALLY expect folks to fall for this OLD trick!
Waleed was fantastic. He was prompt, professional and extremely helpful. He helped us get the furniture we wanted and even ordered lamps for us as well. I highly recommend this store and him as a salesperson.
Purchased a couch and love seat in mid June, with an estimated delivery range of 2-6 weeks. At the time of sale the salesperson mentioned the item was back ordered but would still likely fit in the 2-6 week window. I understood that shipping times are taking longer due to COVID delays, but this was never mentioned by any staff. Calling multiple times to inquire about the status of our order is met with answers like "hopefully getting the warehouse soon" and "should be at the warehouse on the next shipment", and my favorite "looks like it will be here today" (it wasn't delivered). The lack of clear communication has been extremely frustrating and is bringing me closer every week to cancelling the order altogether.
We recently purchased furniture from the Columbia store in Maryland and had it delivered on the 1st. We ordered 3 pieces and unfortunately one won’t fit so my spouse and I called to ask if we could return one piece being that it doesn’t fit and that we were willing to pay the 30% restock fee being that we actually thought it would fit in our new home. The sales manager Gary was very sharp and rude while assisting me on the phone and kept cutting me off during conversation while I spoke. They said they don’t except returns after 72 hours and that it states that on the back of the paperwork. The furniture has never been used or sat on and still has the tags attached. Also, I received different information as to who “approves” the return from customer service and the store. I’ve read the back of the sales terms and rules and it reads “This seventy-two (72) hour window does not apply if the customer has picked up their merchandise or scheduled a delivery. In that case, the invoice will be treated as a return, and provisions of section 1.a will apply.” 1.a states “Returns: Once an invoice has been scheduled for delivery, the invoice items have been transferred from the warehouse to a store for pick up or the customer has taken possession of the merchandise, all approved returns will be charged a 30% restocking fee. A restocking fee will be charged for all returns, including returns due to a customers change in preference of color, size, if it does not fit, or any other reason. There will be no refund of a pick up or delivery fee. After deducting the restocking fee and delivery fee, the customer shall be entitled to store credit for the remaining balance of the purchase price.” So as the customer, when reading the terms it doesn’t specifically state I only have a 72 hour period for a return an item, it says with approval a restocking fee with be charged. No one from Ashley’s is willing to approve the return of the one item and no I don’t want cancel my entire order, it’s just one sofa doesn’t fit and is sitting in the middle of my new home. No one specially stated that we ONLY HAVE 72 hours to return/exchange or cancel our order when we made our purchase otherwise we would’ve went elsewhere. The custom service for Ashley’s Furniture in this region is very poor, and when I asked to speak with the district manager to help assist me with my issue Gary did not want to give me any information on how to contact them and stated he was on vacation and wouldn’t get back to me for a week on the matter. At this point my spouse and I will never purchase from Ashley’s Furniture because of this very matter. Our very first furniture purchase while my husband was active duty was from Ashley’s and we had great service in Texas. So to the district manager Douglas Gimza I hope your stores tell the customers before they make a purchase that they ONLY have 72 hours to return, exchange, cancel any orders from Ashley’s no Exceptions or approvals even if the item does not fit
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY HOMESTORE!!! I agree with another reviewer, it is nothing but a scam! I visited the store, looking for a medium gray couch and came across this one. The promise delivery time was 2 to 6 weeks, and it did not arrive, nor did I receive an update on the sixth week. I had to call in every other week to update myself on the delivery, considering their delivery tool online has had a “glitch” (as a representative called it) all six weeks of my purchase. The store never provided a courtesy call or email to update me on something I purchased nearly 2 months prior. I made my purchase on June 18, and the anticipated delivery date kept being delayed. Every time I called, they were ambiguous with their response saying late July, no specific date, until I demanded a date and they told me August 15. They had been waiting for a chaise to be built, and never updated me once! Why would a company sell a couch that is out of stock? Complete greed for a sale. By the sixth week I requested to have what was available delivered to me to show for my purchase I made two months ago, and they said I would have to return it the same day if I was not content. I thought that it was unfair to give me two minutes to decide if a couch was the right fit, especially if the fault is on their end. I received the couch, which arrived with disproportionate pillows and stiff padding (complete opposite of what was felt and seen at the store). The store also promised three pillows would arrive with it, and I received zero. I tried returning it the same day and there was a language barrier with the delivery men who refused to take back the couch and told me to call Ashley for a refund. I called the store and was unable to reach them for two days. By the second day, they said I would have to call the warehouse, and they would contact them on their end. I called the warehouse on the third day, considering they were closed over the weekend, and they promised me a returned call, never got back to me. Upon calling the store, they said I would have to pay a $100 return fee that same day, in store, and I would only be refunded via store credit, completely going against the store policy reviewed with me in store (free returns within 72 hours of delivery). I thought it was absurd considering all that I have gone through with their delivery and product. All of this to say, I am completely disappointed in Ashley Furniture, especially after ignoring the horrible reviews I saw prior. Now I am stuck with a couch that I hate, with no options to return it.
My husband and I were pleased on our first visit on July 15 with the customer service we received from Muhammad Zeeshan. He was helpful with measurements, knowledgeable with sales and promotions. We will definitely return for our next purchase.
Never come here! Its a scam! Nothing has a price on it, everything has an "old" price and you have to find a sales person, when they aren't too busy talking to each other, to get you a price. I asked how much a couch set was. I was stalled 5 minutes! For a price! She said she had to find the right adapter to plug in the couch so she could get a price. Never EVER going back which is sad because 10yrs ago i went to Ashley and got what I have now.
I visit Ashley Furniture Store in Columbia and everyone was very nice. Russia assist me with the service I needed and she was excellent! Russia thank you for your patience and kindness as well as assisting me with ordering my furniture. After receiving my furniture a few months later I notice that the delivery person not complete putting my cocktail table together. I called and report the issue I was told I damaged the table and they're not going to assist me. After receiving the money I paid in full this is the service I get?? I only ask for someone to come out and finish what he did not finish. Poor customer service after the fact. Very nice prior to purchasing but after they get your money. Forget it
Walked in looking for something specific and the associate Marilaine could take us straight to what we asked for. We also had checked out the outlet and clearance side and found the perfect piece. I believe the guys name was CJ that helped take it to our car! Awesome service.
I’m so many ways.. ASHLEY FURNITURE IS A RIP OFF AND A COMPLETE DISASTER! Don’t bother using coupons here. They don’t accept them. Furniture is expensive!!! Not worth your time! The associates had a smirk on their faces when I told them that Ashley furniture is terrible.

The sales experience was very positive. We initially spoke to a newer sales person(could tell he was new) and the manager TJ helped out. We found what we needed and even came back to purchase a mattress. We delayed our delivery because of Covid and finally delivered in May. The delivery guys were rude and messy. My girlfriend asked them to take the mirror off the dresser and they told her no, she should have told them before they put it on. They left the house and driveway a mess. I sat down at our new table and noticed the liquid in my glass was slanted. I looked at the table and the table was not level. I put a level on the table and it clearly was not level(picture attached). I called service department and they indicated they would send a tech. Almost a month later they schedule and tech comes out(likely due to Covid). The tech looks at the table and says there is clearly a defect in the table and the bench is cracked and they would replace both. There was nothing they could do today. I asked how long would it take and he said around a week. A week later(today) we get a call saying that our floor is not level and they would not replace it. Are you kidding me???? I showed the tech with a level that the floor was level. I was supposed to get a call from a manager, didn't happen!! TJ who helped us during the sales process said I would have an answer today, didn't happen!!! I will never buy anything from them again. We bought almost 10k worth of furniture and can barely use the table. If I could give 0 stars I would. This company cares nothing about you after the sale. Don't waste your time or money!!!

I would NOT patronize this store!! Their staff is worthless and have no clue with regards to customer service. Ordered furniture paid deposit in late February never received the furniture fighting for two months for my refund. Still no refund gotta what ANOTHER 21 days. To HELL with Ashley Furniture. My check was cashed in less than 24 hours. Do not waste your time find another store. Just think I was excited that they came into the area what a WASTE 😡😡😡

Great customer service in the Columbia location. My husband and I went to look for a couch and a loveseat, we got what we need and we are looking forward to the delivery . Good buy and absolutely good prices compared to the others furniture stores. Nice atmosphere but customer service was not great at all. We were in the store for sometime and weren't greeted nor did anyone ask if we needed help. We found what we wanted to buy and had to go find someone to assist us. We didn't even get greeted when we came in the door. I will say at check out T.J. was a big help....I feel like the commission should go to him and not the individual that partially helped us. But if we really didn't need the particular piece that we wanted in the outlet section we wouldn't have purchased there.

I think I was a big ticket customer (around ten grands worth of purchase) but the treatment from managers about certain agreed logistics is completely out of this world, being made to feel like a begger..L.O.L.
We looked at two basic patio chairs in the clearance section. The sales girl went to get a price from the manager. We waited 15 minutes she ran to us gleefully with a price of $895.00. We were shocked and went to Lowe's and purchased the same exact chairs for $39.99 each.

Better off ordering online, they will sell u a high DREAM, saying they will do this or that and won't. Its good to look around and get items and look it up online not from that store... Saved money online.
Excellent Customer Service Experience from Marilaine and Rani.
The service was wonderful, however the furniture is poor quality. Our couch began to break & sag only 5 months after we purchased it, with very normal use (no jumping, rough housing, etc). Perhaps it's just a fluke, but I've never had furniture that doesnt last even 6 months. Just very disappointed in quality.
My wife and I spent about 4 hours here shopping for a whole list of furniture and were helped by Dante Waul every step of the way. He was helpful, knowledgeable, candid, and didn't pressure us throughout the process or hover around too much. Actually everyone at the store was very helpful. The furniture we bought looks great and is good quality.
On behalf of my last review. While waiting for your salesman (Kevin) to go over numbers with the sales manager. (TJ) My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of standing next to your front desk employees who were cursing and highly unprofessional while we were standing directly in front of them. If anyone is wondering why you're spending 30+ minutes on hold, it's because these ladies are ignoring phone calls.
This was by far the worst sales experience I've EVER had! I will break the sales experience down into 4 parts: Shopping, Negotiation, Agreement/Final Sale, Pick-Up Shopping: We expected to be followed around the store while shopping so when our salesman did so, we were not bothered. Very informative, agreed with everything we said, and eagerly pursued the sale. My girlfriend and I eventually picked out a (Remember this) Sectional, Loveseat, Coffee table and two end tables. Fine. Negotiation: It's a furniture store.. Of course they'll give %60+ off.. So, after the cringeworthy/cliche haggling took place, we walked into the finance office and myself and the salesman proceeded confirm the numbers and items. Agreement/Final Sale: The salesman pointed out that everything listed was what my girlfriend and I asked for (THE SECTIONAL, LOVESEAT, COFFEE TABLE AND TWO END TABLES) We opted for no delivery and told my salesman I would pick everything up. HERE IS WHERE THE FUN BEGINS! The salesman gave us a round about date for pick up and told us to remain flexible a day before and after the projected pick-up date. Fine. Delivery: I received a call from an EXTREMELY RUDE woman a couple days before the projected pick-up date, letting me know that my furniture would arrive on the date my salesman had stated. I confirmed that I would be able to pick up the furniture around 7PM. She replied with. "Yeah, I ain't care when you come". Great! THE DAY OF PICK UP, I called to confirm pick-up and Ashley's receiving department once again confirmed that my furniture would be available for pick-up. Great! ....GUESS WHAT! The furniture was NO WHERE NEAR Columbia, MD! The horrible customer service convinced me to call back A THIRD TIME to confirm with a manager. Good thing I had already rented a truck at that point! The manager eventually stated that I am about two weeks away from receiving my furniture...Good thing my girlfriend and I moved all of the existing furniture out of the living area already! The next two weeks was a further extension of horrible customer service and confusing follow-up calls.... Finally.. The furniture arrived. The sales staff helped me load the truck because Ashley's warehouse closed at 6PM, apparently. No surprise there. Our salesman confirmed that every piece of furniture was there and had me sign off on the pick-up sheet. No surprise, the furniture came dissembled and wrapped so I took the salesman's word for what was there. I get home, unpack the furniture and NO LOVESEAT. My girlfriend and I review the order and confirm that our order in fact says we bought a loveseat. It does. After going back to the store, we come to find out that a part of the sectional is called "loveseat" in Ashley's system and the loveseat we asked for was NOT EVEN PART OF THE EQUATION. It is highly unlikely that the salesman did not know what he was doing. Ashley was not able to rectify the problem. This experience was unreal and needs to be addressed. Salesman-Kevin
The person that helped me today was Zee. He went above and beyond to help me find the perfect dining set. Zee even carried chairs across the showroom to match another table for me. He took his time and was very patient. If you are thinking about going to Ashley Furniture in Columbia don’t hesitate they have the best customer service ever. I have been to other Ashley Furniture stores and this one was effortless. Zee made this experience the best ever. Thank you so much😃

If you are looking to purchase more than 1 piece of furniture, I would suggest you look elsewhere. My wife and I purchased a new bedroom set to have for our first home that we bought and were so excited. However, our excitement soon turned to frustration after multiple occasions of over-promising and under-delivering. The bedroom set that we purchased was not, in its entirety, available at their warehouse location. This was unknown to us at the time we made our purchase. We had called in several times after our purchase to get an update on whether or not all the pieces had been scanned yet, but each time we were told they were not. I made it a point to ask each representative that I spoke with to please note that I really needed the furniture to be delivered by a specific date and each time was told they would add that to my ticket (their name for your file). The span of time from when we purchased the furniture to the actual date they had everything in stock was 24 days (purchased 10/19, told it was available on 11/12). I never would have thought this would take so long. Upon being notified that our furniture was ready to be delivered, we were then told that they could not deliver on the day that we needed. This is despite the multiple "notes" added to my ticket about needing the furniture by a specific date. The representative assured me they would email their corporate office to see if any arrangements could be made which I though (past tense) was a nice gesture. The representative told me that they would give me a call in the morning with an update. This brings us to today. I received no call back in the morning so I decided I would go ahead and call in myself. The representative I spoke with was a different one from the previous night so I explained my situation. They then shared the fun fact that I had no notes in my ticket and that she has no record of any emails being sent to corporate. I asked to speak to manager since this is totally unacceptable. Its one thing for there to be back end delays, and another thing when the store employees tell you they are advocating for you only to find out that nothing happened. The manager pretty much hid behind the corporate shield and blamed away his problems on everyone else. Then, after concluding that no one there was ever going to help me, I asked to just please schedule the next possible date so that I can be done with Ashley. This is the cherry on top, After 19 minutes, the hold music stopped playing and the automated message asked me to leave a voicemail! Total lack of customer service. I would not suggest you shop here and would caution you to ask about the item availability before you purchase. Update 1/14/2020: I finally received all my furniture on December 27. Two months after purchasing. However back in mid November when we first had our coffee table delivered and assembled, the assemblers broke my coffee table after over tightening the screws. I have placed a repair order which has been pending since a couple days after it was delivered. I call and call to ask about it and each time they say no one has picked it up yet. It’s been so long Ashley’s had the audacity to call me to ask me if I still wanted to pursue the claim! No duh! Fix my table Ashley’s!! I bought two couches from Bobs right down the road from this place and it was a breeze. No hassle, no BS, no nothing. I got what I paid for and it was all delivered timely without any inventory or warehouse delays. The difference is night and day. Go to Bobs instead! Update 2/28/2020: I still have not received my replacement parts for my broken furniture. When I last posted, they said it would be delivered on Feb 24. Now, they wont have it to me until March 20th! So what this says is that unless you have 5+ months to spend time and energy on dealing with a furniture company, do not under any circumstances shop at Ashleys! Update 3/11/2020: I submitted a BBB complaint about this store and not surprisingly, they failed to provide any written response. No surprise that they have an F rating.

I’ve been looking for new furniture for my new home the past week and didn’t find what I was looking for. I was about to call it a night but decided to stop in Ashley Furniture Store in Columbia Md. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Matt S. He was so kind, nice and extremely patient with me & showing me different items. His Manager Dante was extremely nice, May I add that he’s a awesome manager because not only was he helping me, but even when the store was busy he was making sure that every customer was taking care of!! I purchased a living room set this evening. When I first arrived at Ashley furniture I managed to walk around and not be approached by a single sales associate. Finally, Marilaine came up to me to offer services (I honestly thought about leaving since no one had seemed interested in assisting me prior to her.) Marilaine was super helpful and assisted me. When I spoke to her about my budget and what I had already been looking at, Marilaine went above and beyond to give me an enjoyable shopping experience (including carrying a coffee table half way across the store so I could see it in front of the couch I was buying). Once it came down to pricing and making sure things were correct Angie and Donté (sp?) also stepped in to assist and get things done for me. Overall my buying experience with these associates were top notch. I will update further once The furniture is delivered. Thanks for all your help over the last two days!

Very Positive Experience. I visited the Columbia Ashley Furniture store in February after stopping at multiple other stores looking for the right color sectional that would fit in my small basement rec. room. A sales associate, Marilaine, helped me find a sectional that was exactly the right size when I was unable to find it on my own. She was very polite and knowledgeable on the available options and answered all my questions. The sectional was reasonably priced and exactly the color I was hoping to find. Rani at the customer service desk was also very kind. I purchased it the following morning. It was just delivered yesterday. It fits perfectly and is exactly what I ordered. Incredibly comfy and it looks great too. Love this fabric. Thank you so much guys! All the best!!
Worst place to go the Ashley in Columbia MD and zero customer service I spent almost $6000 and I have to go through a lot of headaches for delivery, I received a wrong item also in less than 1 month my new king bed collapse I am glad nothing happened to my daughter and my wife I reported the store and now I am back and forth, also received a nasty email from Heather price from customer support saying that for courtesy we can send the part and you have to fixed yourself, this is a shame where is the manufacturer warranty? Please trust me don't use Ashley you will regret zero follow up and zero customer experience.
My experience at this store was wonderful. They have a wonderful selection of furniture and after searching three other furniture stores I was happy to find a nice living room set and bedroom set for my home. Rusha was wonderful in assisting me through out the store. She is the best!!
The furniture options are good. However, the salesmen/managers will trick you into buying, for instance, by telling you they will apply discounts or may waive the shipping fees, etc but when you actually buy then they will still apply the shipping charges or may not give the discounts you were promised initially. Just be careful when purchasing.

We stopped by Ashley on our way to another furniture store in the area. We had no intention of buying furniture from Ashley, we were really just looking at different options. The salesman Kev greeted us, asked what we were looking for and pointed us in a direction. He answered a lot of questions we had and priced out multiple furniture options for us. We walked out of there getting what we wanted for the price we wanted. One thing we really liked was Kev never asked what our price point was, just helped us shop. The furniture was delivered in less than 10 days. It was an all around great experience.
Marilaine (Sales Representative) provided great Customer Service during my visit to this location of Ashley HomeStore. She was very helpful and patience with me during my selection of furniture. She made my visit a pleasant one and I was satisfied customer upon of my purchase. Angie (Sale Representative) was very pleasant during the recording transaction as well. She made certain my furniture order was exact and completed the transaction in an friendly manner. The shopping experience was very good. Eric was extremely helpful and patient while we made our decisions. Rani was very good with the financing. TJ runs a great team. Another thing I greatly appreciated was that TJ explained how to avoid the finance charges on the interest free time period.

My wife and I stopped in today to look at a couch and possibly a new bed. The store was super busy being Presidents’ Day weekend, and I realized as we walked in that left the house looking like a bum. Haha. So I was worried that none of the associates would come help us. I’ve been in sales a long time and know the mentality a lot of sales people have. We knew exactly what type of set up we needed for our couch and were having trouble finding what we are looking for. I think Matt Schanken must have spotted us and saw that we looked lost and came to our rescue. He helped us find exactly what we wanted. We live in an apartment and need a particular size, but also wanted a particular sectional set up. He showed us a bunch of options as far as color and material of different sectionals we could pick from until we found the perfect fit. He was extremely patient with us, and answered all our questions. I feel like it’s rare you come across people that actually make an effort to make the customers feel taken care of. But Matt went above and beyond. We were also interested in potentially purchasing a new bed. He asked us questions about what it was that we didn’t like about our current bed, and what what wanted in a new bed. Then showed what he thought would be perfect for us, and my wife and I agreed that he was right on the money. We decided to get the couch, the bed, and a frame for the bed. Then Lauia helped us wrap up our purchase with easy financing. 18 months, 0%, I don’t know what else you could ask for. They also gave us an amazing discount on our entire purchase. But to be honest. With the quality of the products, and the service we got today, I would have paid full price. I’ll be going to this specific Ashley Furniture for anything I need in the future, and hope to be able to always work with Matt. I’m going to recommend them to all my friends and family as well. This is the place to go.

Excellent customer service in the store. Kevin greeted us at the door (on a Sunday of a holiday weekend) and showed us a large selection of couches within our specifications. We were able to find what we wanted within our price range and were pleased with the payment and warrantee options. The item we wanted was in stock, so we could schedule delivery immediately in the store. This review will be updated following delivery.
AnQueenia was a superb sales rep. Allowed me to browse at my leisure and when I was ready to purchase she was went above and beyond to be sure I got what I wanted and that I got all the discounts available. Laiba was sweet and helpful at the front desk. Both ladies were a pleasure to deal with and made my experience will bring me back again.

Rhiannon was amazing! I totally recommend asking for her. The whole store was very helpful when we had to return a couch set that we didn’t like. They made sure that we saved the most money and didn’t waste any. They were extremely flexible and considerate with our situation! We ended up buying a wonderful set for our family room.
Save yourself some time and avoid this branch as you would avoid bubonic plague. Mistakes and delays happen at every workplace but why should the customer have to chase the store over the course of two months to receive basic information on their order (which they’ve paid upfront for btw) is beyond me. At least with bubonic plague there is a certainty of the end. With 7 calls and 2 personal visits for updates this process was anything but customer friendly. You would have better luck drawing blood from a stone and it would be more enjoyable too.
Had to change my review. Despite a 5 star review previously while in person with ordering my furniture. The process of getting my furniture has been a 1 star. I still do not have my furniture and have been waiting for over a month for it to just be delivered to the warehouse. Now, I've been dealing with the very limited availability of delivery times. I had to take off work work to just try to get my furniture. I wish I had been told the truth while I was in the store. Versus being given the best case scenario. This has not been a best, good, or even pleasant experience at this point. I do want to buy other pieces of furniture, and really liked the dining room set when I was at the store (Jan 11th), but I will have to search elsewhere after this experience.
Matthew Schanken did a great job helping me with my shopping experience. He took his time to walk me through all of the items and answered any questions I had. He was very patient and I would recommend anyone who is unsure on what they want, but need someone who will be patient through the process.
I walked into Ashley Furniture in Columbia with questions and concerns about the Axiom set and their delivery process. Kevin was fantastic to work with. He addressed my concerns and helped put me at ease with my choice. I did not purchase the set on my first visit but kept in touch with Kevin until I made my decision. Once I decided to make the purchase, Kevin was not available on that day and put me in touch with his manager TJ. The exceptional work ethics continued with TJ who took the time to walk me through the purchasing process as well as the extended coverage I also wanted to purchase. I highly recommend this location and will shop there again when I am ready to buy a new piece.
Horrible customer service. My son has been trying to get a dresser since November 1, 2019. First dresser came in broken, then reordered and 2nd dresser was broken. the store offered to glue it. We ordered new furniture, not used. No you cannot glue it. It is now 90 days later, we are paying on furniture we never got. Manger says nothing we can do! They have now stopped communicating with us and hope we go away. Not a chance. I have filed complaints with the main office in Brandywine and the Better Business bureau. Shoppers beware, they are so many choices in Columbia, Md. DO NOT USE THIS ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE. They take your money , don't call you back, give you promised dates of when item will be in store.I guess this piece is being made by hand, since its 90 days. And better yet, no mention of a discount for inconvenience. I would like to bring the whole set back for a full refund and go to Bob's Furniture across the street and get a whole set.
I went to Ashley Furniture in January2020 to purchase a Livingroom and bedroom suite. Jay was excellent. He was very professional, patient and a great listener as I discussed the type of furniture I was looking for and Just when I thought that it could not get any better, I met the store manager. He gave me a great deal and made my shopping experience for furniture, the best ever. They have an excellent finance program, my furniture was delivered on time as promised and I couldn't be happier. I encourage everyone to make their way to Ashley Furniture in Columbia, MD., for an awesome experience and great customer service.

I had a credit for furniture I had purchased in December and had it returned. Marilyn was my associate this time. She was so patient in helping me find the items I needed as well as make sure my pieces were place in my vehicle. My experience was pleasant.

We purchase 2 bedroom sets. We got the furniture sets delivered and 1 set had so many defects. Three out of 5 pieces had mis-aligned, cracked, broken drawers that we can't even close drawers; and the drawer chest does not level correctly that it wiggles. The bottom of the drawers have wooden pieces coming apart because of the friction. I called the store the day after thg delivery asking for replacement and I was told that I have to pay 30% restocking fee plus the delivery (trust me - these items should not be 'restocked'). I was told that I have to go through the repair center (I purchade the repair plan) to get them fixed and they would replace items IF they cannot be fixed. So, I still don't understand why I have to use my repair plan to fix brand new furnitures. I understand that there may be defected items during the manufacturing process, but I don't understand why the company does not feel responsible for this. I am very disappointed and would never purchase from Ashley again. I thought about displaying these furnitures in front of the store, but I am trying to keep my sanity. Also, I requested repair service and have not heard back for 5 days.
Placed an order a month and a half ago, said delivery between 2-4 weeks. Week 4 came I called and asked about delivery and they said that I had to schedule a delivery date but everything was in. I asked if I could pick up from warehouse (which was about 2 hours from me) I make it to the warehouse and they said the only thing that was in was my bed. I had ordered a couch as well. Upset that I drove all that way, at least my bed was here to put together. I start putting the bed together and they sent me the wrong piece. Fast forward a couple weeks, still sleeping on my floor, no couch, called today and no one knows where my piece is for my bed. I had called about a dozen times already about that piece. I would look elsewhere if you are planning on furniture shopping. Not a satisfied customer what so ever
SAVE YOURSELF, GO ELSEWHERE. I paid them for a couch and two months later I still don't have it. Despite repeated calls to the office manager "Tiffany" and the store manager "TJ" they never return my calls, refuse to refund my money, and have yet to provide the piece of furniture that I PAID for. Apparently I am going to have to go to court. I cannot be saved from the misery of dealing with incompetence. Save yourself, shop elsewhere.
I have bought a complete bed set over a week ago. I have received a call from their delivery services confirming the delivery and said I would be charged 25% restocking fee if I am not available at home during delivery, so far so good and understandable. I took an unpaid leave and was waiting for delivery. 1 hr after the given schedule, I got a call saying that the are canceling the order as one of the furniture is broken and asked me to come down to collect my refund and put down the phone. Not even feeling sorry for it. Seriously... This is the worst professional conduct that I have ever seen. What were you guys doing all through the week. Cant you check if your items are good for the delivery and then send your confirmation text. What kind of disorganized store are you running. If the furniture is broken why did you keep it for sale in the first place. I highly recommend to stay away from this place.
Never buy from Ashley. Made a big mistake of buying from them. Moving forward, I will never buy and will never let any of my family or friends buy anything from this store. They have good products but the worst service I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. I moved to US from New Zealand in the first week of November 2019 and purchased all the furniture for my whole house in couple of hours on 18th November 2019 from a physical store. I did this mistake on the recommendation of a local friend. I purchased total of 19 items and 5-year protection plan from a salesperson in the store who promised that all items will be delivered to me between 12-15 December2019. This was a completely false promise and I did not get anything until then. When I called them on 16th December 19, I was told that it takes 2-6 weeks but they will expedite the delivery. Since then I kept calling them every alternate day and got a new ETA every time. All ETAs passed and we did not receive any furniture. After a lot of hassles and calls to HQ, they delivered 2 sets of Sofa on 10th January 2020. Today (21st Jan 20), Its already more than 9 weeks (64 days) since we paid in cash and purchased our furniture. I called them just now and got the same reply – “They will expedite and let me know ETA”. Can you imagine the pain caused by Ashley? We have no idea when we will receive our furniture. We are sleeping on the floor in snowy winter for more than 9 weeks because our beds are not delivered yet.
My husband and I bought a sectional from Ashley home store. We had so many different styles to choose from that when we finally found the one we were I love with, we did not feel as if we were settling. Jay our sales associate was very helpful and knowledgeable when assisting us to find the perfect sectional. Thank you jay!

Came to Ashley's as I was leaving Target just to get some ideas for our house remodeling. They have some beautiful sets there, really impress with the decor. I wanted to look at some reclining sectionals and was greeted by a friendly sales person name Ace. He really took his time showing me all the different options and when I came back with my family he made sure we all loved the power reclining sectional and he even threw in a free protection plan for my kids. Highly recommend coming to this Ashley.

After having a horrible experience at a competitor’s store, I decided to go to Ashley HomeStore in Columbia just to kill some time and look around. I was greeted by a very kind and knowledgeable staff member named Dante (I think that was his name I don’t have my business card in front of me). After I explained to him the style I was looking for and showed him the colors of the room that needed furniture, he took his time walking me around the showroom and I was able to find and purchase the perfect set. I give my shopping experience and Dante two very enthusiastic thumbs up! I would highly recommend folks to shop here. The only downfall is that I have to wait almost a month (tentatively) for delivery but I’ll be patient.
Will not shop here again. Store said couches would be delivered in 2-6 weeks after purchase. We called about 3 weeks in and they said the couches would be at the warehouse at the end of the week. When we called the next week, they could not find the couches and had said they would call us back. It has been 6 weeks since we purchase and they just delivered 2 out of the 3 items that we ordered. I asked for money back since they did not deliver on their promise and they are charging me a pick up fee and restocking fee, even though they were not able to deliver on their promises. Spoke with the manager and they were not willing to waive any fees and seem to have no interest in retaining our business.
Dealing with Ashley furniture has been a real disaster. I bought a complete bedroom set and living room set. They took 6 weeks to deliver it and then after waiting all that time, they delivered it at a time when I wasn't home and then made me go into the store and pay for a re delivery charge even though it wasn't my fault. Then it took another 2 weeks to finally get it delivered. I went back to buy another piece of the sectional couch, and after waiting for 6 weeks again, I went in to pick it up, and once I got home it was the wrong color. I made it clear what color I had and they knew what color I had because I bought it there. So, I went back and they told me that since I picked it up it was my responsibility to check it before leaving the store. I had to get a manager to finally do the return and order me the right color. Now I am waiting again for it to come in and I'm holding my breath that it's the right item and color. So as you can see this has been a real disaster dealing with them and will never buy another thing from them. And I'm telling everyone I know not to buy from them. Good bye!!
I purchased furniture (sofa, loveseat and table) from Ashley store Columbia MD. I was charged 50% more than what exact same model items are being sold for online. I called the store a couple of weeks after the delivery today, when I found this, I was told they can not do and anything, every store franchise has own margins, and was asked to hang up the phone. 50% extra margins? I feel extremely frustrated, helpless and scammed. Hope someone is watching this and can look into these complaints. What's this with price match guarantee they have posted on the Ashley website. Want to make people aware of the kind of prices being charged in store. And not to mention, that was after a lot of negotiations and Super special black friday discounted price.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! They give you false information over the phone just to have you “come in”. Wasted my entire lunch break for nothing. 3-4 sales people walked past me and didn’t even bother to say hello. SMH

Was worried after reading the 1 star reviews, however I had a good experience. "regular" prices are higher than normal but they seem to have always a sale going on making the prices on par with the competition. We experienced good customer service and had no issues on the store.
BUYER BEWARE: I have changed my review to 1 star (originally I gave a 4 because the sales associate Boniface was very helpful making the purchase. Eventually I would find out, they used him as a sacrificial lamb claiming he was a new hire and not fully trained). I would give 0 if possible. Ashley Furniture uses misleading advertising and sales practices. They claim one thing on their website then double prices and change product descriptions in the store. They claim they're separate entities when you complain of the discrepancies. I was sold 6 chairs and the price was supposedly matched to online. Come to find out, the store only sold me 3 chairs for double the price each. I've since got Better Business Bureau involved and my credit card company. They have not responded to BBB, now their rating is a D+. I am waiting to see what happens with my credit card dispute.

This is the worst Ashley furniture store I’ve been to. Poor customer service, no regards for customers. Will tell you one thing and do something else. Manager is not helpful. Save your money and go to another Ashley’s or even value city. Expected more from a Columbia Howard county branch.

Horrible customer service. Was delivered damaged furniture. Delivery people said they were doing us a favor by leaving the damaged piece of our sectional till a new one was delivered. No one at the store ever called me. When I called a few days later, i was told an email was sent to the appropriate people.and someone would be in touch within a day or so to let me know when our new furniture would be delivered. A few days later I called again after no response from anyone. Different person, same story, email sent. Few days later, called spoke to Office Manager who said they had no information on this and was sending email to service/warehouse then. I told her to please call me within a few days to give me an update . Guess what. Nothing. I called back, was talking to a Gary who said he is a manager. Said he was sending an email. No one ever follows up or calls you back. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called again a few days later. Gary sent another email and gave me a number for a corporate level customer service. That place has been no better. I called and was told that the service department has 7 business days to respond to a customer and it hadnt been 7 days since the store put it in place. Are you kidding me? It was delivered weeks ago. The lady was unapologetic, silent after I expressed my mounting frustration. She said wait till end of day Monday for them to contact me. And if not call back and she will contact them for me. So I now have a part time job calling Ashley Furniture evidently since no one there has any follow up. No call back again so on the 8th day I called them back. I believe it was the same person. Same no care, unenthusiastic, uninterested attitude and lack of any compassionate response. She put me on hold for a few minutes. Comes back on and says service department is not answering. She sent an email and copied their manager. At this point I am so angry, I wish we had never bought a thing from that store. Seems that this store only wants to give you attention to sell you things. But no one takes accountability for handling things when someone gets damaged goods. Basically have been told that I shouldnt have let the delivery people leave it in my house. Maybe they should have more honest people.delivering for them. And maybe they should have people handling customer issues that actually know to do follow up and solve problems. We have been ignored. We made our 1st payment already on the furniture and no one still has offered any solution to the broken chaise portion of our sectional. Never never again. I'm not from Maryland, but this is not the kind of service I am used to. Where I come from in the midwest if you purchase new furniture that is what you get. And you dont get the run around from the top down on getting help!! Not holding my breath on hearing from anyone. I would think a nation wide company would hold its stores to a higher level of accountability!

I’d like to add from my prior review two weeks ago. To date, which is now well over 30 days from initial purchase, I still have not received my initial refund of 115 bucks for the overcharge let alone the $4.079.34 full refund when my items arrived damaged. I’ve been to the store multiple times and have been given the run around. “This one needs to sign it and approve it but is off” “we will absolutely call you tomorrow with an update” “this is shocking, it shouldn’t take this long” I’ve heard it all. I’m filing a complaint with the state at this point. I really encourage those considering a purchase here to look into the history of this company. I wish I did. I wish I knew now what I know about their CEO and how he has literally refused to pay scotch guard vendors for work performed and product received simply responding, “Sue me”. Culture starts at the top. Looking online it’s clear how many countless lawsuits have occurred and how they toy with your money. I will seek legal action and from what I understand, I am not the only one having to do this. I highly encourage you to consider this before giving these thieves your money.
Worst customer service... They don't even bother to check if they have the item or not. I already have the item but in there system says waiting to deliver... Don't know how to close an invoice... Don't suggest at all, I will never shop at Ashley By the way Math was really nice (Sales person) I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing !!!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I ordered a sofa in the beginning of November, I was told the couch would be in the warehouse on November 30th and I would be called the next day. I still haven’t received the sofa. One of the managers, Gary told me that my couch would be there and not to worry. I will NEVER shop here again, I wouldn’t recommend this store to ANYONE.
Muhammed was phenomenal. Really enjoyed my shopping experience and he helped that. Have to wait up to 6 weeks for an item though. Luckily a little while to wait was not too much of an issue for me.
I was very dissatisfied with the overall experience. The manager was racist and my parents felt embarrassed to speak our native language in front of him (to each other not directly to him or anything like that). I even called to raise this concern to the customer service line but I was on hold for 30 minutes and gave up. People should feel welcome at the store, not embarrassed. I can say that I would never go back to that store EVER.
Jay was awesome helping us with our purchase. He even caught a mistake on their end and credited us $500. After going furniture store to furniture store it was a breath of fresh air that he wasn’t trying to sell us anything. He was just there when we needed him.

Great experience working with sales associate Zawar at the Colombia location. He was so patient with us as we spent over an hour debating between multiple sofas. Both he and TJ (manager) worked out a great package deal for us.
We had a great buying experience at Ashley HomeStore in Columbia. It was a very busy 'Black Friday' sale but the salesperson - Derin B - did a great job helping us out, demonstrated a lot of patience, and didn't pressure us into any purchases. In the end we bought two sofas and he helped us even more by getting us a great deal beyond the sales price.
Buyer beware! Only one person at this store knows what to do and it's not management! Wanted to charge me $1000+ for a chair if I placed an order over the phone, the exact same chair is $289 online on their website which states they price match.
CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE!! We ordered bedroom furniture on 10/5/2019, after the point of sale, the store and its salesman have shown no responsibility towards ensuring we received what they sold us. They guaranteed furniture delivery within 6weeks. On Saturday November 9th I called the store to find out if the furniture had arrived at the store, I had made a few calls the previous weeks as well to keep a tab and get an estimated due date. So in Nov 9th I was told my furniture had arrived and I was on their list to call and schedule delivery. I was provided options for a delivery date so I picked Wed Nov 13th. My husband and I made arrangements to stay home to receive the furniture. On Nov 13th the day we were expecting to receive our furniture, we received a call stating they now have our furniture and would like to schedule delivery. It made no sense, my husband and I were both confused. He went ahead and scheduled delivery for the following Mon Nov 18th. I then called the store back and asked what was going on. I was told delivery could not have been scheduled for the 13th since they didn’t have the furniture and I was wrong. I questioned how I could have been wrong if I was presented with date options for delivery in great detail, no good response to that. Then on Mon Nov 18th having stayed home again, my husband received a call stating the dresser and mirror were damaged. They’d bring the rest of the furniture out. Upon delivery he was told along with the missing dresser/mirror we are also missing slats for the bed. So now not only do we have missing furniture, we also have an unusable room. I called the store and complained about the situation, not much they can do. I was told by the manager Gary that he was sending an email to someone and that I would get a call. I called back a day later and got pretty much the same response. Now a week and a half later no call and still missing furniture and still with the unusable bedroom... we are contemplating our options. The staff is no good and clearly the manager Gary has no authority nor a sense of commitment. I am seeking legal recourse to ensure customers are not treated this way in the future. The other 1 star ratings are accurate. Ashley Furniture needs to take notice of the inconsistencies at this Columbia, MD location. There seems to be some questionable behavior in how money is being handled by this store, I wonder if they are deliberately holding the final order placement so they can float for a couple of months on money they receive, before the place the order.
Our experience with Kevin C. at this location has been so delightful! He helped us narrow down our options and choose the best sofa loveseat combo for our needs. They had an issue with their computers but we came back the next day and they had everything ready for us to place the order.
I have to say I was at first impressed with the store offerings and service. But service after the sale is extremely lacking. First, at time of purchase the manager was more concerned that he wouldn’t meet the daily quota due to the credit card machine not working. That should have been my first sign. My second was the concern I expressed when I was told delivery would take “2 to 4 weeks”. The manager interjected that he had the “secret code” and could see that my items were in the Philadelphia warehouse and there is no way it would take more than two weeks. It took four. On delivery day I was called by Midlantic shipping informing me that my items were damaged and it would take another 4-6 weeks for replacement. I told them to unload the truck as I would be refusing the order. I was also supposed to receive a refund at time of purchase due to sale pricing and four weeks later I still did not receive it. Upon contacting the store, I spoke with someone who was very apologetic and said “I don’t know why they told you that, they’ve been doing that a lot, however stop by and you will get refunded.” Upon arrival I was informed my items were still on the truck and they could not process the refund. I explained I spoke with the shipper and they were removing the items so that was not possible. They told me they would call later that day once the shipping company scanned back the items. Never called. I went in the next day which was a Sunday and then was told that the items were still listed on the truck and they could not proceed refunding my items. Still on the truck? On Sunday? The shipper was closed. I offered to drive someone to my home to see the huge gaping holes where the furniture was supposed to go to prove I didn’t have their furniture and they refused. They have over 4K of my money and I have no furniture. This was purchased four months ago to ensure I would have it for Thanksgiving. Now my family will be sitting Indian style on no furniture and I still don’t have my refund. The stores are nice. The furniture appears nice even though it’s all veneers and not real wood but their systems are the worst. Now I have to take off work and fight yet again for a refund. I highly encourage anyone considering this store to go to Haverty’s or Gavigan’s. You’ll pay more but the quality and service delivery cannot be beat. Bob’s is also a great alternative and more in line with their pricing but these crooks are not worth purchasing from.

Gary Woods is the rudest manager I have ever encountered . He is not supportive of his staff , who clearly needed his assistance . When asked for help he stated “wait , I have a big purchase here”. The customer he was assisting came after us. It took 40 minutes to complete a simple purchase of 2 chairs. It would have taken him just a few minutes to provide assistance but he chose not to . I’m sure the customer he was helping would understand a simple “I’m sorry , this young lady has been here for a while, would you mind if answer this question?” His brusque attitude does not display a good example to his team and he doesn’t represent Ashley furniture store in a positive light. You will not get undivided attention as a paying customer if your purchase is not significant or “big” enough. There is a policy that if you purchase something that requires being put together and leave with it, you must sign a waiver that it can not be returned as you are assuming full responsibility for the product once it leaves the store . The policy states that the item must be inspected prior to loading into car. The chairs we purchased were in a box and wrapped. Therefore we would need to put the chair together at the store to inspect them. I find that policy to be absurd. The management team was very dismissive about my concern. In general , the employees were a bit apathetic and unenthusiastic. The entire vibe of the store felt this way. On a positive note , I would like to say thank you to the young man who offered to put our chairs together as he understood my concern . His name is Stephan. He displayed excellent customer service and I believe he would make a better store manager. Kudos to him and I wish him best success in his future endeavors.
I want to say a big thank you to Sales Consultant Muhammd Zain. In a short amount of time he helped us to choose furniture. Just by looking at our plans of rooms he helped us with measurements and the best thing ever he made very good discount. Best customer service I ever experience. Very trustworthy, no ambition to rip-off and very helpful! Definitely will be back.

We recently went into Ashley's to buy furniture for our new house. No one offered to help us at all in the 20mins we were in the store. The two people we asked for help seemed to be too bothered to care and were not very pleasant. Even when we asked for help with a particular piece, no one came to assist us. We walked out of the store with cash in our pocket to spend because no one wanted to do their job. Save your money and go across the street to Bob's Discount. They have amazing customer service, a customer care center, great furniture, and prices. I will never return to this store.
My purchase experience was good enough, but the customer service afterward was TERRIBLE! They assured me the delivery truck would take our original mattress set away when they delivered the new one. This turned out to be false. They never admitted that they mislead us, but stopped taking our phone calls instead. We had to manhandle our mattress and box spring down to the street and pay our town to pick them up. I doubt that losing one customer will cause them to lose any sleep, so all I can do is give them bad ratings.
I went to this store 2 weeks ago with my family to purchase a sectional.. the customer service rep was Muhammad Zain he was reeeaaallly helpful he didn’t pushed us to buy anything that we didn’t want.. he found all the best deals that he could give us.. He was so good that we left with a sectional a Dresser and some decorations all the for the price range that we wanted to pay!! I highly recommend this store! And I highly recommend you going to see Muhammad Zain! I definitely will be back because of him...
Just purchased a bedroom set from here. Kevin was my salesman and he was delighted! He was extremely professional and patient with me. He guided me through the whole process by breaking down the type of wood used to build the furniture, to explaining the delivery process. When I come back here, I'm definitely going to ask for Kevin again.
The furniture is significantly overpriced. The sales make you the consumer think they're getting a great deal, when in fact, the furniture is too high to begin with. I did meet a wonderful salesman, Jim , on Veterans Day. He was lovely and tried to help. I needed a box spring, but the store couldn't figure out delivery. Walked 2 stores down to Mattress Warehouse and had a boxspring delivered the next day.
Derin was my Sales Associate and he was very helpful and patient with me. He was not overbearing and respected my wants and didn't try to oversell me. I finally decided on a couch that I'm happy about. Thank you Derin!
My fiancé and I visited this Ashley Homestore in Columbia, MD to take advantage of its Veterans Day sale. As a US Army retiree, I tend to shop at stores that appreciate US service members. Walled promptly greeted us at the door. Walled was extremely courteous and professional. He assisted us in purchasing a great dining set at a great price. He even advocated for an extended discount because of my veteran status. His manager was equally accommodating by discounting my purchase even more. Our shopping experience was outstanding and we will definitely shop at this store in the future.
I had an excellent experience in Ashley’s. The sales associate, Rhiannon, helped me picking the right furniture for my new apartment. She has a wonderful uplifting personality. I will return!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION !! I have just had the worst experience here. The five star reviews must be fake, they have delayed our delivery and do not guarantee it within 6 weeks as they state. The prices are way cheaper online and they don’t price match because they said that here we can “put a friendly face” and have someone in person to talk to but they have been anything but accommodating or direct. Matt was the supervisor and Did not help me with this situation at all. I’m really unhappy with this unprofessional interaction and will never buy anything from this Columbia Ashley furniture again.

Had a great experience with sales associate Masse! We came into the store a couple weeks ago looking for couches and he was able to look up all the info we needed and also had a great attitude and wasn’t pushy. We didn’t get anything that trip but came back today and purchased a couch set with no hassle, again with the awesome Masse! Angelina helped us through our transaction and that was smooth and simple! Would recommend this store to anyone who’s looking for friendly and knowledgeable staff and great quality furniture!
My wife and I went in a few weeks ago to buy some new furniture after a recent move. The sales associates were friendly, if a bit pushy, and there was plenty of very nice, well priced furniture that we were interested in. When attempting to finance the sectional and dining set we wanted to purchase, however, something got messed up or miscommunicated. The two options that we were told were available to us were a "Snap!" three-month payment plan with no credit check, and a more traditional 12-month financing option. Somehow, despite applying and getting approved for the "Snap!" option, the bill and payment plan that was sent to us were part of a 12 month plan; which would cost nearly double what I was told we would be paying for the furniture. This was only the first issue though, as problems continued with the furniture delivery. I was at work when they came to drop everything off, so my wife watched them bring it all in and put it together. The first thing that I noticed when my wife sent a picture of the sectional is that it was different than the one that got delivered. And on top of that, they only delivered one part of it! After calling in to report the sectional issue I was told that they would get back in touch with my wife (since I was still at work) to try and work out how to resolve it. But when I got home that evening my wife said that they didn't even call. So now I have half of a sectional taking up space in my living room. After calling back again today, I was able to set up a day for them to come pick up the half they delivered, but it wont be until the middle of next week. They also need my wife and I to come back into the store to re-pick the sectional we wanted in the first place so that it doesn't happen again. Except they wont let us do that until after the wrong one makes it back to the warehouse and gets inventoried, so that will also have to wait until the end of next week at the earliest. On a lesser note, the dining set has been a beautiful addition to our home... Or at least it would have been had they not damaged a light fixture and a window in the process of bringing it in. To make matters worse, they didn't properly screw two of the tables legs in. So now I have multiple screws that are cross-threaded and sticking out of my table. They also managed to strip the screws while they were at it too, so now I can't even get the screws out myself to try and replace them! To make a long story short: the furniture is great, but the people involved are incompetent. I recommend purchasing everything out-right and moving/assembling it all yourself.

I spent over $4000.00 to be disrespected and given no options to try and fix the situation. Plus, I was mocked because of my accent and insulted. It has been a horrible experience. The ordeal is not over yet. I purchased three rooms, totaling over $4,000 on September 2nd. We had to wait over two months for our furniture to be delivered. But only two rooms were delivered. We told the delivery drivers that one room was going to the basement, the refused to move the couches down the stairs, they stated “We are busy, we can’t”. We tried to move it ourselves, but it wouldn’t fit. We gave our door measurements and we were assured it would fit. Unless the delivery drivers have a magic way to make it fit, it doesn’t fit. So, after a long phone call with customer services, we decided to return everything. Since they gave us no options to help or exchange couches. She told us we would have to pay $150.00 restocking fee and we had to go to the store to set up the returns. I went to the store last night the manager TJ told me it will be a 30% restocking fee. I was outraged since they sold me couches they knew would have been too small and didn’t even offer the option of the drivers to return and try to fit my couches below, after waiting two months for the furniture, and we are still missing one room. I explained to TJ that the prices quoted was $150.00. During the middle of our conversation he took a phone call which was not an emergency. Then came back to talk to me, he then tried to call customer service so get confirmation. He lied and said they didn’t answer, I say he lied because I called customer service when I left, they answered and spoke to me again. But what was most disrespected was the staff. I am an American woman with a husband who served this country, I have a slight accent. The staff member who had no reason to be in my conversation with TJ joined in and repeatedly told me “you have to pay what you have to pay” and processed to mock my accent.

I recently purchased a sofa, chaise, and ottoman. This was my very first purchase with Ashley Furniture in Columbia, MD store. I specifically made sure to have the chaise ordered for the left side of the couch. When the Sofa arrived the chaise did not. Additionally, the sofa was constructed to have the chaise on the right side and the ottoman and sofa had lint and dirt marks upon delivery. I noticed the products were wrapped in plastic so I am not sure how they could have happened. I called customer service and was not given enough information regarding the return of the sofa and to simply go onto google and leave a review. This will be the last time I buy a piece of furniture from this business.
There were plenty of options and Jim C. And Tiffany B. Got us in and out in about 20 mins total. It was so easy to find just what we needed! Also, Jim didn’t hover or push us to buy something, everyone was nice and helpful!

Just stopped at the new store in Columbia to get ideas for basement furniture. Matt S was extremely knowledge and because of his great customer service we ended put buying a Sofa and Loveseat. Casey and the young lady (can't remember her name I think it begins M) at the payment center was super sweet and friendly!! Overall and GREAT experience!

Put an order in for a couch and table set, we decided to cancel because we would have to pay over 500 for a U-Haul for them since they did not deliver to where we will be in Virginia. We had 72 hours to cancel so we were able to cancel but when we got in the manager or whom ever said that we could not order our couch online and sat and argued with me saying it says only select a store. I went online right after and put it in my cart selected home delivery and continued with purchase. They lied and argued so I would spend more money in store when in fact online furniture is so much cheaper. You can go in and go online and compare the prices yourselves we would be spending a thousand extra dollars but instead we’re offering the couch on their website and a coffee table. The guy originally was overall nice(the salesman) but at the end they were rude and just quickly gave us our money back.
RUN, DON'T LOOK BACK. PLEASE, RUN. On 9/27/19, my family visited the Ashely store in Columbia, Md. We were in the market for a dining room set. Eric B was our salesperson. We selected a set but it was not marked. We told Eric the configuration we wanted and he even took several measurements for us. We were ready to buy after he came back with a quote of $700.00. He explained that they were having a great sale, but the Super Saturday sale was going to be even better. We asked to put a hold on the set or make a downpayment just in case it was more expensive the next day. We were assured over and over again that our information and quote were safe. He even had me go to the computer with him. We left excited and ready to buy the next day. We came back to the store on 9/28/19 after a very long day. My husband is recovering from surgery and I have a leg injury so we were expecting to just go in and pay. What we encountered has been a total nightmare. This store is playing some sick and twisted game. Our new quote was $1,200 MORE THAN THE DAY BEFORE. This must be a joke. We traveled out of our county and passed the Ashley that is 5 minutes from us, because of the promise by our salesperson. After I kindly reminded him that 3 adults were witness to the quote given the day before he disappeared for a good amount of time. Finally he came back with the outrageous lie that all of our information and quote from the day before had been lost. Well that is convenient. Then the quote changed to $700.00 ABOVE THE QUOTE FROM THE DAY BEFORE. So, now you think we are stupid and can't calculate the cost of furniture. Unacceptable unprofessionalism for any business. Eric then said he forgot to add in chairs. How is that possible, it's a set. He measured the chairs at my request. TRY AGAIN!! Once again the math didn't add up and he was dumbfounded. Finally, I showed him the Ashley website and the set was significantly cheaper. At this point I asked for the Manager Gary that I had spoken with the day before. Gray acted like he had never seen my family before. I explained the situation, the website, and the quote given. The salesperson Gray did inform him that he gave me that quote. Gray said too bad, that it was beyond him. I asked for the district managers contact information, but was told he didn't have it. That was a lie. What store manager doesn't have his bosses contact information. I told him I would be contacting corporate and he was all too happy to give me the number. Then to add insult to injury, he said if they honored the quote great. The manager should have held his employee responsible for the quote and honored it. Not wasted hours of our time, and gas. I left with my blood pressure elevated and a pounding headache. Even my 3 year old was frustrated to no end having to sit and wait over an hour for the salesperson and manager. I will be contacting corporate, the district manager, and leaving reviews on every possible site imaginable. Update I contacted corporate and they said DJ the district manager would call me in 48 hours. After not hearing anything, Icalled corporate again as instructed. Now they said too bad he doesn't ever have to call you. This place is a scam.
I came in this past Saturday to look for a new couch. We were greeted by the sales associate Paul who was very informative and not to pushy like most sales associates. He gave us space to browse the store and would pop in every once in awhile to see how we were doing. I did end up purchasing a couch and bed from him. I had brought family members with me and they ended up buying a living room set and a bed set as well from him. We later learned he was new and just came back from training, we would have never thought that from the amount of knowledge he had. Paul and TJ the store manager were delightful to work with. I will be coming back for future purchases mainly because of the customer service experience.
Beware of this place They will steal your money. I was charged a 10% restocking fee for a 1400 recliner chair that was not going to be delivered on the promised date September 29. I canceled the order since my father who recently had heart surgery was visiting on October 3. They call me today at the last minute to change the delivery date to October 12. The vendor that sold me the recliner assured me that it will be delivered to the store on September 29. They lied about the delivery date and they stole over $200. There is no way I can recommend this place.
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! They have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I have never seen such unprofessionalism and blatant disrespect towards their customers in my entire life. We waited over TWO HOURS for the salesperson to find out if the couch was in stock and get the correct price after which he had to change several times because he kept getting the estimate wrong. Then once it was time to check out, the salesperson said that it was in stock and we would receive the furniture within the next week. As we proceed to the counter to pay, the lady was very dismissive, not paying attention to us and said that we would not be able to know the estimated delivery UNTIL AFTER WE PAY. We paid and then AFTER THE FACT she told us that the item wasn’t even in stock... we asked to speak to the manager and he had us wait EVEN LONGER to make a phone call to another store then proceeded to ask if we could wait around for the other store to call him back. We refunded our money and left the store. This store will try to swindle you and take your money DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE I PROMISE YOU, YOU WILL REGRET it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good furniture, but expensive
Today, Saturday, September 21, 2019, I stopped by the local Ashley Columbia, MD location on Dobbin Road. This was the best furniture shopping and purchasing experience that I have had in years. My sales associate, Derin Belanger and the delightful Mariana Torres, worked together to insure that I made the right purchase and at the right price for quality furniture that I will have for years. The sales associate, Jim Craumer, took good care of us. He showed us numerous items that met our needs and did not rush us, giving time alone to discuss our decision. The service rep that checked us out was prompt.

Paid $900 in warranties, sent multiple emails to Corporate & numerous calls to store manager & warranty department but everyone is passing the buck & don't want to deal with the matter of poor quality & workmanship!!! Would neither return to Ashley nor recommend to anyone!!!

Brand new store. It looks great. Had a great experience with salesperson Osama. He was very friendly and helpful in offering me great deals. Really liked his way of selling. He was very knowledgeable about the items they have.The manager TJ is also very nice.
My family and I visited Ashley HomeStore in Columbia today “just to look”. Just when we were commenting that it had been 20 minutes and no one had come to help us, Muhammad came to our aid. We shot off a number of quick fire questions he answered them with ease. He was very helpful, committed to answering all of our questions, and willing to be patient as we were being indecisive. Not once did I feel rushed and we sat on almost every couch twice, and laid on all the Tempur-pedic mattresses more than that. If you go to Ashley HomeStore in Columbia, ask for Muhammad, he is awesome! Side note: the mattress We bought came with two pillows. Not only did he find us a second cooling pillow so we didn’t have to wrestle over just one, when we forgot them as we were leaving, he came running after us to ensure we brought them home!

Nice people but worst payment system. We bought and paid our furniture last week. We have been waiting for the delivery call. However several days later, we found out the store lost our records. We have to go there show them the receipt. They still cannot find the order from their system even the credit card is already charged.
I was very pleased with the customer service at this store. Muhammad was very helpful and courteous. I would shop here again.
When I walked into the store, Derin greeted me in a very professional manner. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and got me exactly what I wanted.
I hate furniture shopping. I'd rather have a tooth pulled. But I have to grudgingly say "thank you" to both Kimberly and TJ for helping this old man navigate through a store he hates. They even managed to make me crack a smile, which is no small feat I'll have you know!

I noticed this store after my friend and I finished up over at Longhorn, and we decided to take a peek inside. It was loud and messy, they haven't worked all the bugs out just yet. I really didn't have anything in mind when we went in, but after having the pleasure of speaking with Kimberly, I think it may be time to update my living room. Kimberly made us feel relaxed and welcome, even though construction was literally going on around us. Thanks to her, you will have a repeat customer... once the construction is done of course!
