Was shopping around with my mom who wasn’t sure what she wanted. Ati made us feel really comfortable and took her time explaining our options with no pressure. I didn’t ended up buying but she definitely has me hooked on the experience and I may be back just because of how comfortable she made us feel. Highly recommend seeing her if you come to the store.

This has been my third purchase from Ashley Furniture and once again I’ve been very pleased. The prices are reasonable and I’ve been pleased with the quality. I should also point out that each time I’ve been extremely pleased with the sales associate. There’s never been any pressure to buy and they’ve been very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Sorry, but no! I will NOT allow any store to bait and then switch me! The very nice, young sales lady showed my family some chairs downstairs and quoted the price plus a $60 delivery charge. We liked the chairs, went upstairs to purchase them and there the young store manager decreed that the so called 'White Glove' delivery was actually $90. He would not discount the $5 per chair difference. So we walked out purely on principle - not that $30 would make much of a difference. Saturday, Dec 27, 2025, at around 12:30 pm. Updates Dec 29: 1- We bought better chairs for lower price at Wayfair with free delivery at an earlier date. 2- The nice sales assistant's name was Adriana, my wife tells me. Make her the manager...

I had a good time, my mother and I the sales person Ish did a fantastic job in showing us all the furnitures we wanted. He was so patient. Ashley is my go to store for furnitures. This was one of my best furniture shopping experiences. The staff were welcoming and very supportive and patient. It is a big show room with so many good options. We were able to get everything we wanted in stock with four days delivery period. We visited the store on 20th December and our furniture with be delivered with white glove service on the 24th before Christmas!!! . They have very good price rates with good discounts including very good warranty and security rates. Alex and Dave were very helpful in helping us see more options that could be delivered from other warehouses in time, so we had many options to choose from to get the perfect living room and dining sets that we wanted. The furniture are of very good quality, are durable and made from the best materials. They do have very friendly financing and payment options as well. Ashley is one of the oldest and best furniture stores in Maryland. It is indeed worth experiencing!

I went to the Gaithersburg Ashley sales room, where Alexander, the salesman approached me. I was there for a single purpose and this was to get a manual, fabric cover Rocker Recliner. Alexander knew exactly what I was in search of and took me straight to this recliner. Once I sat down, rocked a couple of times, then I reclined back. This was the lounger I was in search of. Alexander I guess knew or felt I wasn’t there to go wild and purchase a living room set or anything else, just the lounger. This no pressure sales was excellent and efficient and I had the purchase completed within 15 minutes after arriving. Alexander was a thumbs up salesman and should I want or need any future furniture I’m 100% sure, I will return to Ashley’s in Gaithersburg. 5 stars x 1000...in times where even average customer service is rare, Alex comes in at top-notch stellar, a breath of fresh air. She is knowledgeable, pleasant, personable, kind and patient. Alex helped me select the perfect sofa and was diligent in locating accent chairs and pillows at other Ashley locations. By my side from beginning to end. Love visiting the store to not only shop for nice furniture, but to also visit with Alex and the rest of the staff. I look forward to working with her again when purchasing dining and bedroom furniture.

Dont read my long ass experience if you dont want to but go somewhere else! This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with any store. They are refusing to refund me based on the terms of their fine print and have told me that its not written but a part of their process. I ordered furniture 8/16/25. I was pushed by the salesperson to order furniture I did not want. 9/8/25 I was able to cancel that furniture. I was informed that because I paid cash. I would have to wait 21 days to receive a check in the mail. It is 10/23/25 and still nothing. On 09/11/25 I finally receive the furniture that I truly wanted. Only for it to be wrong because the salesperson was in such a hurry to make the sale that he ordered the wrong color. I had to reject the wrong furniture and was advised by the delivery person to go to the store and ask them to replace the order because they would continue to send me the wrong furniture otherwise(seems like he knew how incompetent Ashley’s furniture is). I had to make a 3rd trip to the store to get this handled. To which they inform me I’d have to wait another 3-4 weeks. Upsettingly I agreed. Once 3 weeks passed and I had not heard anything I started calling to check. “ Oh we’re waiting on another piece because we can only do one delivery “ meanwhile I’ve been sleeping on the floor for over 2 months waiting. Finally they say. We’re waiting for your dresser to be delivered 10/11/25 everything else is ready. 10/15/25 I call. “We got the bedrails but we had to reorder the dresser” THEY ALREADY HAD IT IN STOCK. Now they were telling me it was going to be another 2 weeks before it arrived because they circulated inventory. I most importantly needed a bed so I asked for the bed to be delivered otherwise they would probably no longer had it in 2 weeks when the dresser arrived. They were declining to do so until I called for 3 days straight requesting it over and over again. Until they finally agreed only to tell me Id have to wait another week for it. At this point I had enough. I paid $2500 cash. I went to the store 10/15/25 and cancelled the whole order. Now they are telling me that I can not receive a refund for the cancellation on 9/8/25 until the already paid invoice was closed on 10/15/25 and I have to wait 21 days from 10/15/25 to receive a refund. Amazon delivered a bed for $300 in 2 days and beautiful and sturdy. Got a dresser from Ikea and all good! Don’t waste your money here! At this point I don’t know if Ill ever see my $2500. Oh! Because the store manager said there was no one she could call to check on my check status. I’ve been emailing back and forth with someone who says “they” just got back to me. Somethings wrong with Ashley’s furniture.

I had a very good experience with purchasing a new mattress for my daughter. The salesman was very nice and professional and I will definitely tell my friends and family about my experience.

I went in on Sunday to get a bed and the salesperson Ali, I believe is his name was absolutely rude and horrible! I told him I’d be financing (I already have a credit card with them), he asked me how’s my credit in a very condescending tone. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. I purchased my couch from them last year and didn’t experience this at all. He was even arguing with a different salesperson on the floor. Thankfully, the sales manager came and helped us. She was the only reason I stayed and made the purchase. The finance ladies were also great! Ali needs to be fired!

Joey was very helpful when it came to selecting the perfect couches for our (somewhat small and confusing) space. He spent a lot of time mapping everything out, and giving us advice on how to organize everything. We ended up asking A LOT of questions, which he gladly/kindly answered. It was a long process but we bought a loveseat and a recliner. Definitely recommend asking for Joey if you are serious about your purchase or even need advice on the best fit for your place.

Would have given 0 stars if it was an option. Deceitful sales and business practices. The delivery team damaged the couch that we bought even before bringing it inside our house. We refused the delivery, because obviously we didn’t want to pay $1800 for a damaged couch. Even the delivery guy agreed that we shouldn’t accept the delivery! The corporate and management are refusing to issue a refund, even though the receipt clearly says in bold “if the merchandise ordered by you was not delivered by the promised delivery date OR IS DAMAGED or otherwise does not conform to the original order Ashley MUST offer YOU the CHOICE of (1) canceling your order with a prompt, FULL REFUND FOR ANY PAYMENTS you have made, or (2) accepting delivery at a specific later date.” Also, they make you write a 5 star review in front of the sales consultant right after the purchase in the store. So, take the 5-star reviews with a grain of salt.

Ish Verma over promises and under delivers. I received a damaged product, their delivery drivers were unprofessional and not careful during the delivery process and damaged the couch. I declined delivery. Then Ish told me to come back to store and said I could either pick a new product or refund. He explicitly told me to come in on a specific day, when I arrived, Ish says refund can’t be processed and I have to make another trip just to get a refund. Be careful shopping here, I’ve decided to just dispute rather than to deal with shady sales staff or management.

I went in today looking for a king size bed and adjustable frame. I was helped by Maya, who was lovely and helpful as i wanted to make a good choice. I was fortunate enough that one of the managers, Sean, also came along to help with my decision as far as which mattress to purchase. I have a friend with back issues who will be staying with me and I was given some very good information and really appreciated the very personalized and good customer service from both Maya and Sean. Customer service seems so hard to get these days. It was a very pleasant experience.

Good Product, Worst Customer Care I purchased a full set of furniture from Ashley Gaithersburg in May 2025. What followed was a string of broken promises and poor service. They promised to modify sharp dining chair edges for child safety — they didn’t. They sent the wrong mattress, no box spring, left the dining table behind at out place, and the living room set didn’t fit in the elevator. When we went to the store for help, we were told they don’t do modifications and we’d have to wait weeks for corrections — despite an urgent need for a family event. We tried to compromise and choose other items that could arrive in time — they later said nothing would come before June 17, even though corporate initially promised a quicker delivery. Then a staff member literally said to my wife: “Either accept the 17th or we’ll cancel your order.” Our kids slept on air mattresses for a week. Even on June 16, they still had the wrong box spring and said we’d need another delivery. The furniture looks nice. But the customer service was truly awful — unprofessional, unreliable, and disrespectful. I don’t recommend this store. June 20 ‼️I have seen the reply here and wrote a detailed email; no communication as usual. The delivery in the 17th still missed an item from my child’s bed. Furniture damaged on delivery. We are still waiting for miracles to happen from Ashley

I have to pick it up by myself. What the hell is it? If you can't do delivery why accept my transaction. Why do my business? Don't buy anything from this store. Cheating customer. I ordered the Beautyrest Black 3 in a medium firmness. They have sent three firm matresses. I require the medium mattress because I am getting a liver transplant and this matress advertises made for reduced bedsores. My surgical recovery takes this into account. It is becoming convoluted. I ordered a sofa that was supposed to be a match for my TV Chairs. It was not. I told them it was the wrong furniture when they delvered it. They ignored me for weeks before I finally got them to remove it. It repeats. I was charged $200 for a deelivery with company trucks. I started this on Black Friday with free delivery. They haven't given it bqck yet. I spend most of my time tired and weak from a failing liver and only get out for doctor appointments. They know this and still screw with me.

do NOT buy your furniture here. The experience in store was great, but as soon as we placed our order and left, it was all downhill. We told them several times to change the phone number on file, because my partner works in a clinic and wouldn’t be able to answer the phone, and they never changed it. They use a third party to deliver, so I ended up calling that company directly - they solved the issue in 2 minutes. Also, they are inconsistent about delivery times. First, they said their window is 4-8 weeks and the sofa might take some time, but that the dining table was in stock and would be here before 4 weeks. What they say verbally and what is on paper is different, because our receipt says 4-12 weeks. Our couch ended up coming in 5 weeks, but the dining table is supposedly going to take another 2 weeks, so we will not have our furniture on time, as they said. They are not consistent, and despite calling numerous times, we have had issues. The staff does not care - they seem to care when you’re in person and buying the furniture, but once you do, they don’t care. I would rather go somewhere else and pay more for better customer service.

I purchased a painting. The painting was too large to fit in my vehicle. I was told that the painting could be and would be delivered to my home. I was latter informed that the corporate office mandated that accessories (which is how artwork is classified) is no longer able to fall under the “deliverable” category. I had to cancel my order. So instead of turning a profit, they lost money and will now have to find a way to sale their large artworks. I was looking to buy some furniture from them as well but that ship has sailed.

We were greeted warmly and shown everything we were interested in. Returned later to purchase a bed. The only improvement would have been a larger selection of leather couches.

I told them I wanted the furniture by a the first week of March and they assured me that they could fulfill the order in that time. I feel lied to and hustled like they only wanted me to swipe my card and then have no option but wait for the product since they won’t give me clear instructions on how I could get a refund or have another solution. Very unprofessional. The salesmen ish verma also looked over my shoulder while I did my review so don’t believe the reviews because it’s not honest. And he makes you do it. He also followed us around the store and we just wanted him to go away so we could look. Bought a bedframe from this store because the representative said they had it in short-stock and would be able to deliver in 2-6 weeks instead of the 8-12 from every other store. 11 weeks later, I am still waiting and the expected delivery date has changed three times with no communication from the store. I've called Ashley's general customer service many times (no way to call the store directly), and they have tried to contact the store directly for compensation and/or alternative solutions, but no one from the store will return my call. Since I can't call the store directly, there is really no way to reach anyone there other than driving back in person and hoping the specific manager who can fix this is on duty. Frankly, knowing that this manager has been called by their own service line and told about this 3 separate times and STILL doesn't have any urgency to get this resolved tells me that this standard operating procedure at this store. If on-time delivery, customer service, or communication are important to you when buying new furniture, I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere.

I purchased a king-size bed on December 4, 2024, and was promised delivery by December 24, 2024. Unfortunately, this delivery did not occur, and I was given another date of January 5, 2025. This date passed without delivery as well, and I was then told the delivery would be on January 26, 2025—again, no delivery took place. After enduring months of delays and receiving no clear answers, my order was ultimately canceled without any delivery. I would also like to bring to your attention the behavior of the store manager, Merari (or something similar), who was extremely unprofessional. Not only did she fail to address my concerns in a helpful manner, but her rude behavior and insulting remarks made this entire experience even more frustrating. I had witnesses present during this interaction who can attest to the treatment I received. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and continuous delays have left me deeply disappointed. After months of waiting, I was forced to purchase the same product from another store at a better price, which speaks to how far short your service has fallen. I do not recommend your store to anyone, as the experience has been both frustrating and disheartening. RUN! DONT COME HERE!! I had a credit in my account and they didn't tell me it expired. WHAT A Shocker they don't tell you about it. Don't you think if I knew it was going to expire in a certain timeline, I would use it before it expired! Considering it was a significant amount. The sales manager that was there, said the person that called me told me. She said she remembered. According to her the call was made in March by someone named Candice and the sales manager said "oh I remember her making that call and telling you". I highly doubt you remember one call that was made in March. Anyways, they weren't even remotely attempting to help solve the situation. They couldn't be bothered to help and were too busy. I should have read the reviews before coming here.

Purchased a couch & love seat and was told 2-6 week delivery timeline. 6 weeks came and no call from Ashley to schedule delivery. I called the store and was told casually “oh delivery can ACTUALLY take 8-10 weeks.” Not because of unforeseen delay, that’s just the real timeline. He said he would call me back by COB once he got in touch with the manufacturer about the order status. That was two business days ago. One star review because I’m not sure if this place actually sells couches or if they just take people’s money. Thanks Ashley furniture, I’ll be hosting a big Christmas gathering with no seating. Will be reporting to consumer financial protection bureau and the better business bureau.

Hello: I am writing to tell you about my horrible experience with Ashley Furniture in Gaithersburg, MD because they made me waste too much time getting my furniture in my house and being able to enjoy it. First, to the buyer who helped me in the store in August, I told him that I was interested in a piece of furniture that I had seen and found out about on Ashley's website. I gave him (Kevin Onuoha) the codes for the furniture and, whatever he did, at the time of making the purchase, the invoice shows something completely different than what I ordered, and to make matters worse, the person in charge of processing the payment had to modify the invoice 3 times because she did not have correct information. Second, when I finished my purchase of my bedframe, dresser and nightstands, Delivery company called me in 3 weeks to schedule the delivery, and when they brought the furniture, it seems that the invoice had a description that was not correct and they brought another type of bed. Therefore, I had to tell the people to take it back. Then I waited almost 4 more weeks to schedule the delivery of the correct bedframe and when the bedframe arrived these people had not brought the bedframe slats, so they had to disassemble the entire bedframe and take it back. Finally, my wife had to personally go to complain to the store manager about this abusive delay of the bedframe and so in two weeks they were finally able to deliver the complete bedframe. This was done in the month of October. It took almost 3 months to have my bedframe ready. Even now I have problems with Ashley's credit card, because the incapable workers of this ASHLEY store, entered an amount of $200 charged to my account, for nothing. For which I asked Synchrony Bank to dispute that charge, because they told me that they can't do anything. Without further ado, this is the last time I buy any furniture at Ashley and when I finish my payment, I will cancel my card and will never buy a product from here again. After all this bad first experience here and with that incapable manager and workers that Ashley has in Gaithersburg store, I will never return to this store. Don't buy nothing here

Mary at the customer service desk is a gem! When I purchased my furniture eight weeks ago, they said it would be in stock within six weeks. That did not occur so I stopped by the store today. Mary, with her contagious smile and patient demeanor helped me select some new pieces that were available for immediate delivery.

It looks like I’m not the only who has had this experience with this store. I placed my order the first weekend in August, it’s now November. It’s almost impossible to reach customer service (or anyone helpful). I was told a 4-6 week delivery time frame. Every time I’ve called to check the date gets pushed further and further back. At this point I should have just gotten a couch from Big Lots. Beyond frustrated and will never recommend or buy from this store again.

Prices in store are way higher than online. Like 1.5-2 times.

This Ashley furniture location has truly gone down since 2015 when I first ordered from them! At my most recent visit, I asked for a sheet protector and was sold sheets. I went back to return the sheets but was told there was nothing they could do as they had been “final sale” even though when I mentioned the name of the associate who sold them to me, they had seen this associate mistake sheets for sheet protectors too. So I was stuck to pay for both. They did give me a discount on the sheet protectors but why not take the sheets back especially since it wasn’t my fault?!

Our experience today at Ashley’s in Gaithersburg was excellent. We are repeat customers, however today we were helped by a newer rep named Tony. Tony was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable and he helped us choose the best option for us. He deserves a raise for his excellent customer service! Also the management staff were also great. I feel like she was irritating with any of my questions, even if she could not print out and guide me further any furniture information that I was interested in . Eventually, I went to Ashley website by myself and found the furniture that I was interested in for my daughter bedroom set. I ordered to get free delivery $50 off sign up first time and got the confirmation getting my furniture soon .5 star for website order.

Ashley’s Gaithersburg, Maryland. - Avoid this store. Staff openly rude to manager, openly undermining sales made by the manager, verbally dissuading customer from taking home purchased items due to clearly apparent internal employee / supervisor relations issues. All on full display in front of customers. Also, management appears to enable behaviors by not holding staff accountable. Manager overcompensated by making false promises of ensuring thousands of dollars in furniture purchases for a newly purchased home would be delivered much earlier than actual delivery date (over a month after purchases). As a result of all of this chaos, we are now left without a dining room set to eat meals on, a master bed to sleep on, and lighting. Keep the internal drama behind closed doors and do not create false expectations with dishonest salesmanship.

Their policy is to match the online price but you have to show them, they don't mention, so go informed.

Super disappointing experience with this location. I always buy Ashley furniture. I purchased a couch and a loveseat as well as four other items. On the day of delivery a loveseat is missing. I try to rectify the situation I’m met with a remedy that further inconveniences me. I call for an update on when I can expect the couch to be picked up because I just don’t want to waste more time. I get no response, I get no update as promised. It’s a nightmare trying to scramble to get a refund and a new couch. So disappointed. In addition, given their mistake I have to pay $100 for them come get the couch as a return.

We had a date with Merari At 3:30 Since we were buying the furniture for our room. What seemed like a nice experience stopped being so, until a man who is apparently the designer approached and scolded my son 15 months old in an unfriendly way. To which I reacted and told him that he didn't have to talk to us that way. I think he doesn't like children. What made the situation even more tense was when they called me from the area where I had to make the payment. I found him talking to management explaining a version far from reality I asked him not to continue talking about the subject and just apologize. He responded arrogantly that he had nothing to apologize for. Management was aware of what was happening and did not want to intervene in the situation. In the end we left the store while we were in the car. I told my wife that I couldn't leave without filing a complaint with management. I asked to speak with him. They told me that he was at lunch. I wanted to cancel the order but Merari shewad very professionally . I would like the Ashleyser corporation to contact me and ask them why they have designers with that attitude. I have been a customer of this store for many years and I would not like to have to look for other means because of this incident. I hope this incident never happens to anyone again, for that reason I wanted to share my experience.

The WORST store to ever purchase a furniture from. I have been waiting for my sectional since JULY. We are in September now. Every time you call they have a different delivery date. You will be told a date and it will change the to the next month after all assurance that you will get your furniture. Terrible and most UNHELPFUL customer service representatives. All in all, I would still fully recommend this store, as long as you're prepared to wait a lot longer for your purchase than the timeframe they give you. This is the worst Ashley Furniture in the area. I walked in 1 week ago to purchase 2 mattresses and 2 bed frames. Ignacio was useless and tried to inform us that the price differs based on the financing terms. He then tried to include a protection and add-ons against what we wanted. I walked out. I then went online, priced out my own furniture and was ready to purchase online but the website crashed. I took a screenshot of everything I wanted and hesitantly returned to Ashley’s. On arrival, there was no one to attend me on an empty Monday afternoon. I walked myself over to the counter and told Josue of my order. He took over 10 minutes to give me the items I requested. He then priced it over the website price. After my mother asked some questions, he got upset, priced matched, and walked away and started to make fun of my mother. My mother told him to answer some of our questions and Josue told us that he doesn’t care and walked off. The finance rep then informed us that he added an additional 99 dollars to the price for “premium shipping” without letting us know. WE DID NOT SIGN ANYTHING AND WALKED AWAY. I refuse to make the mistake of walking into this store with NASTY customer service.
