do NOT buy your furniture here. The experience in store was great, but as soon as we placed our order and left, it was all downhill. We told them several times to change the phone number on file, because my partner works in a clinic and wouldn’t be able to answer the phone, and they never changed it. They use a third party to deliver, so I ended up calling that company directly - they solved the issue in 2 minutes. Also, they are inconsistent about delivery times. First, they said their window is 4-8 weeks and the sofa might take some time, but that the dining table was in stock and would be here before 4 weeks. What they say verbally and what is on paper is different, because our receipt says 4-12 weeks. Our couch ended up coming in 5 weeks, but the dining table is supposedly going to take another 2 weeks, so we will not have our furniture on time, as they said. They are not consistent, and despite calling numerous times, we have had issues. The staff does not care - they seem to care when you’re in person and buying the furniture, but once you do, they don’t care. I would rather go somewhere else and pay more for better customer service.
Rose was AMAZING! I was struggling with finding a bed I really wanted and we went through the catalog and found EXACTLY what I wanted. I never had customer service like this before. She was patient and great to talk to when it came to product knowledge and what would be best for me and the style I was seeking.

I purchased a painting. The painting was too large to fit in my vehicle. I was told that the painting could be and would be delivered to my home. I was latter informed that the corporate office mandated that accessories (which is how artwork is classified) is no longer able to fall under the “deliverable” category. I had to cancel my order. So instead of turning a profit, they lost money and will now have to find a way to sale their large artworks. I was looking to buy some furniture from them as well but that ship has sailed.
We were greeted warmly and shown everything we were interested in. Returned later to purchase a bed. The only improvement would have been a larger selection of leather couches.

From picking out my furniture to the delivery, was great! Kevin was very professional and helpful as well as the rest of the staff that I worked with. The delivery was actually earlier than what I was quoted! The delivers were caution, quick, friendly and professional.
Furniture was fine, but one of the sales associates named Ish kept following me around and bothering me about pieces of furniture, kept repeating the phrase "My name is Ish". Wouldn't let me browse in peace. Got annoyed and left without exploring more.
Ish Verma, very friendly and personal. Update 3/6/25: Ish Verma and the store manager just told me what I wanted to hear to make me buy a couch. I told them I wanted the furniture by a the first week of March and they assured me that they could fulfill the order in that time. As of today they are telling me it won’t be here till the 31st of March. Which if I knew that was the case I would have looked elsewhere. I feel lied to and hustled like they only wanted me to swipe my card and then have no option but wait for the product since they won’t give me clear instructions on how I could get a refund or have another solution. Very unprofessional. The salesmen ish verma also looked over my shoulder while I did my review so don’t believe the reviews because it’s not honest. And he makes you do it. He also followed us around the store and we just wanted him to go away so we could look. When we told him to go away and we will find him if we have a question he still continue to stalk us from a far. I wish I would have gone somewhere else.
Please donot go to this place . Worst place to buy furniture.I was told my order will be delivery in 2-6 weeks. I called them nobody answer my phone so I went there after 8 weeks . They didnt check status of my order just told me to process the refund. Nobody even say sorry about delay. They just dont care about the customer. I got call from them after 2 hour that my order has came in the warehouse. What a worst place.She should have checked and told me before doing the refund. Don't buy anything from them. Everything is cheaply made and worst customer service. I got no help when I got there. I had to ask for help after I found what I wanted to get. Then after asking for help they didn't want to help. I got 3 mattress and box springs. The one on the show floor seemed better cause the one after a month then started to sink in the middle and the box springs where so the like they used 1"wood. Don't buy from Ashley everything is cheaply made and trash

Bought a bedframe from this store because the representative said they had it in short-stock and would be able to deliver in 2-6 weeks instead of the 8-12 from every other store. 11 weeks later, I am still waiting and the expected delivery date has changed three times with no communication from the store. I've called Ashley's general customer service many times (no way to call the store directly), and they have tried to contact the store directly for compensation and/or alternative solutions, but no one from the store will return my call. Since I can't call the store directly, there is really no way to reach anyone there other than driving back in person and hoping the specific manager who can fix this is on duty. Frankly, knowing that this manager has been called by their own service line and told about this 3 separate times and STILL doesn't have any urgency to get this resolved tells me that this standard operating procedure at this store. If on-time delivery, customer service, or communication are important to you when buying new furniture, I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere.

To the attention of customers and store Managment Dear [Store Ashley Gathersburg MD] Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your Gaithersburg, MD store. I purchased a king-size bed on December 4, 2024, and was promised delivery by December 24, 2024. Unfortunately, this delivery did not occur, and I was given another date of January 5, 2025. This date passed without delivery as well, and I was then told the delivery would be on January 26, 2025—again, no delivery took place. Finally, I was told that my bed would be delivered in March 2025, but the store was still unsure about whether that would happen. After enduring months of delays and receiving no clear answers, my order was ultimately canceled without any delivery. I would also like to bring to your attention the behavior of the store manager, Merari (or something similar), who was extremely unprofessional. Not only did she fail to address my concerns in a helpful manner, but her rude behavior and insulting remarks made this entire experience even more frustrating. I had witnesses present during this interaction who can attest to the treatment I received. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and continuous delays have left me deeply disappointed. After months of waiting, I was forced to purchase the same product from another store at a better price, which speaks to how far short your service has fallen. I do not recommend your store to anyone, as the experience has been both frustrating and disheartening. RUN! DONT COME HERE!! I had a credit in my account and they didn't tell me it expired. WHAT A Shocker they don't tell you about it. Don't you think if I knew it was going to expire in a certain timeline, I would use it before it expired! Considering it was a significant amount. The sales manager that was there, said the person that called me told me. She said she remembered. According to her the call was made in March by someone named Candice and the sales manager said "oh I remember her making that call and telling you". I highly doubt you remember one call that was made in March. Anyways, they weren't even remotely attempting to help solve the situation. They couldn't be bothered to help and were too busy. I should have read the reviews before coming here.
Purchased a couch & love seat and was told 2-6 week delivery timeline. 6 weeks came and no call from Ashley to schedule delivery. I called the store and was told casually “oh delivery can ACTUALLY take 8-10 weeks.” Not because of unforeseen delay, that’s just the real timeline. He said he would call me back by COB once he got in touch with the manufacturer about the order status. That was two business days ago. One star review because I’m not sure if this place actually sells couches or if they just take people’s money. Thanks Ashley furniture, I’ll be hosting a big Christmas gathering with no seating. Will be reporting to consumer financial protection bureau and the better business bureau.

Hello: I am writing to tell you about my horrible experience with Ashley Furniture in Gaithersburg, MD because they made me waste too much time getting my furniture in my house and being able to enjoy it. First, to the buyer who helped me in the store in August, I told him that I was interested in a piece of furniture that I had seen and found out about on Ashley's website. I gave him (Kevin Onuoha) the codes for the furniture and, whatever he did, at the time of making the purchase, the invoice shows something completely different than what I ordered, and to make matters worse, the person in charge of processing the payment had to modify the invoice 3 times because she did not have correct information. Second, when I finished my purchase of my bedframe, dresser and nightstands, Delivery company called me in 3 weeks to schedule the delivery, and when they brought the furniture, it seems that the invoice had a description that was not correct and they brought another type of bed. Therefore, I had to tell the people to take it back. Then I waited almost 4 more weeks to schedule the delivery of the correct bedframe and when the bedframe arrived these people had not brought the bedframe slats, so they had to disassemble the entire bedframe and take it back. Finally, my wife had to personally go to complain to the store manager about this abusive delay of the bedframe and so in two weeks they were finally able to deliver the complete bedframe. This was done in the month of October. It took almost 3 months to have my bedframe ready. Even now I have problems with Ashley's credit card, because the incapable workers of this ASHLEY store, entered an amount of $200 charged to my account, for nothing. For which I asked Synchrony Bank to dispute that charge, because they told me that they can't do anything. Without further ado, this is the last time I buy any furniture at Ashley and when I finish my payment, I will cancel my card and will never buy a product from here again. After all this bad first experience here and with that incapable manager and workers that Ashley has in Gaithersburg store, I will never return to this store. Don't buy nothing here
Really bad, do not come. Choose other store. they asked me to pay 5-year protection several years ago, now I want to use it, the insurance company said I can not, and the store said they did not care.

Great quality, long lasting furniture at a fantastic price. I have furnished two homes and one apartment all via Ashley Furniture Home Stores and always exceptional service Today was no different. Mary at the customer service desk is a gem! When I purchased my furniture eight weeks ago, they said it would be in stock within six weeks. That did not occur so I stopped by the store today. Mary, with her contagious smile and patient demeanor helped me select some new pieces that were available for immediate delivery.

It looks like I’m not the only who has had this experience with this store. I placed my order the first weekend in August, it’s now November. It’s almost impossible to reach customer service (or anyone helpful). I was told a 4-6 week delivery time frame. Every time I’ve called to check the date gets pushed further and further back. At this point I should have just gotten a couch from Big Lots. Beyond frustrated and will never recommend or buy from this store again.
Prices in store are way higher than online. Like 1.5-2 times.

This Ashley furniture location has truly gone down since 2015 when I first ordered from them! At my most recent visit, I asked for a sheet protector and was sold sheets. I went back to return the sheets but was told there was nothing they could do as they had been “final sale” even though when I mentioned the name of the associate who sold them to me, they had seen this associate mistake sheets for sheet protectors too. So I was stuck to pay for both. They did give me a discount on the sheet protectors but why not take the sheets back especially since it wasn’t my fault?!
Our experience today at Ashley’s in Gaithersburg was excellent. We are repeat customers, however today we were helped by a newer rep named Tony. Tony was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable and he helped us choose the best option for us. He deserves a raise for his excellent customer service! Also the management staff were also great. Thank you so much.

I visited Ashley Furniture Gaithersburg location October 8 arround 6pm The Sale person lady "M" was not helpful, and she was not a professional saleperson. I feel like she was irritating with any of my questions, even if she could not print out and guide me further any furniture information that I was interested in . Eventually, I went to Ashley website by myself and found the furniture that I was interested in for my daughter bedroom set. I ordered to get free delivery $50 off sign up first time and got the confirmation getting my furniture soon .5 star for website order.

Ashley’s Gaithersburg, Maryland. - Avoid this store. Staff openly rude to manager, openly undermining sales made by the manager, verbally dissuading customer from taking home purchased items due to clearly apparent internal employee / supervisor relations issues. All on full display in front of customers. Also, management appears to enable behaviors by not holding staff accountable. Manager overcompensated by making false promises of ensuring thousands of dollars in furniture purchases for a newly purchased home would be delivered much earlier than actual delivery date (over a month after purchases). As a result of all of this chaos, we are now left without a dining room set to eat meals on, a master bed to sleep on, and lighting. Keep the internal drama behind closed doors and do not create false expectations with dishonest salesmanship.

They confirmed delivery is available and said I’ll find great choices on the website 🙄. except I can’t actually find anything. This is an easy fix Ashley - highly recommend if you want customers to stay on your site.

The girls that helped us check out were also great to work with and great personalities which makes it a good experience to shop here. Update: We found the item could not fit the item in our room we intended and the order was easy to cancel because it was done two days before delivery. We did fine that the same items are much less online, almost 1/2 price less. Pretty sure l won't shop there again though, sort of felt deceived, not by the new salesman but by management. Their policy is to match the online price but you have to show them, they don't mention, so go informed.

Super disappointing experience with this location. I always buy Ashley furniture. I purchased a couch and a loveseat as well as four other items. On the day of delivery a loveseat is missing. I try to rectify the situation I’m met with a remedy that further inconveniences me. I call for an update on when I can expect the couch to be picked up because I just don’t want to waste more time. I get no response, I get no update as promised. It’s a nightmare trying to scramble to get a refund and a new couch. So disappointed. In addition, given their mistake I have to pay $100 for them come get the couch as a return.

We had a date with Merari At 3:30 Since we were buying the furniture for our room. What seemed like a nice experience stopped being so, until a man who is apparently the designer approached and scolded my son 15 months old in an unfriendly way. To which I reacted and told him that he didn't have to talk to us that way. I think he doesn't like children. What made the situation even more tense was when they called me from the area where I had to make the payment. I found him talking to management explaining a version far from reality I asked him not to continue talking about the subject and just apologize. He responded arrogantly that he had nothing to apologize for. Management was aware of what was happening and did not want to intervene in the situation. In the end we left the store while we were in the car. I told my wife that I couldn't leave without filing a complaint with management. I asked to speak with him. They told me that he was at lunch. I wanted to cancel the order but Merari shewad very professionally . I would like the Ashleyser corporation to contact me and ask them why they have designers with that attitude. I have been a customer of this store for many years and I would not like to have to look for other means because of this incident. I hope this incident never happens to anyone again, for that reason I wanted to share my experience.

The WORST store to ever purchase a furniture from. I have been waiting for my sectional since JULY. We are in September now. Every time you call they have a different delivery date. You will be told a date and it will change the to the next month after all assurance that you will get your furniture. Terrible and most UNHELPFUL customer service representatives. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. You are better off going to Value city where you will get your furniture way faster

Update: Downgrading from 5 to 2 stars. The living room set I was told would arrive in two weeks took more than two months. I have no issue with extended wait times for desired products, but I do have issues with being given false information to entice the purchase. The furniture itself is pretty good, I'd give it a 5/5 considering the cost, appearance, etc. Delivery people were great, too. All in all, I would still fully recommend this store, as long as you're prepared to wait a lot longer for your purchase than the timeframe they give you. This is the worst Ashley Furniture in the area. I walked in 1 week ago to purchase 2 mattresses and 2 bed frames. Ignacio was useless and tried to inform us that the price differs based on the financing terms. He then tried to include a protection and add-ons against what we wanted. I walked out. I then went online, priced out my own furniture and was ready to purchase online but the website crashed. I took a screenshot of everything I wanted and hesitantly returned to Ashley’s. On arrival, there was no one to attend me on an empty Monday afternoon. I walked myself over to the counter and told Josue of my order. He took over 10 minutes to give me the items I requested. He then priced it over the website price. After my mother asked some questions, he got upset, priced matched, and walked away and started to make fun of my mother. My mother told him to answer some of our questions and Josue told us that he doesn’t care and walked off. The finance rep then informed us that he added an additional 99 dollars to the price for “premium shipping” without letting us know. WE DID NOT SIGN ANYTHING AND WALKED AWAY. I refuse to make the mistake of walking into this store with NASTY customer service.

I bought an Ashley Furniture couch 20 years ago. I've been looking for a while to update, even though It's still very usable. Today I worked with Dory Angel at the Ashley Furniture store in Gaithersburg, MD and found my new couch. Dory was great - he helped me decide what I wanted by knowing what products fit my needs and budget and showing me all options. All the Ashley staff were professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. Bought the protection plan for our table and it won’t cover scratches. Just called their customer service and after a lengthy wait they told me the damage wasn’t covered. I don’t know what the point of having a protection plan for a table is if it doesn’t cover scratches!

Worse experience ever. Sales person - Joesph mislead us. We just purchased over 12k worth of furniture- he assured us that everything was in stock. Day of delivery - we’re missing our side tables, and couches (they delivered the wrong ones), AND the delivery personnel were rude and cursing at my boyfriend in another language and threatening to leave with the furniture because they were 15 mins late and had to wait an additional 10 mins for another truck to leave the loading dock. Overall very disappointed.

It's been weeks past the deadline for them to fix my couches. I've called an ask for manager and they hang up. If someone knows a lawyer or attorney please help and get this to the courts. I'm deeply sadden something so easy. I haven't been able to use the couches for almost 2 months now!!! Absolutely sad. The BBB is involved as well.

Be sure to ask about return policy on mattresses. After purchasing five mattresses and spending a total of $14K at this store, the salesman failed to inform me of the return policy for mattresses. Salesman stated that we could return the mattresses after 30 days but failed to mention that we needed to purchase a mattress protector from them. At checkout, I was asked if I needed a protector (which I had already) and stated no. The return policy only applies if the protector is purchased from them. After only 3 days of use I was told by their cooperate office that I could not return the mattress because of my failure to purchase there mattress protectors. Very disappointed with either the incompetency of their corporate return policy or deceptive sales tactics and will be taking my business elsewhere.
They don’t even deserve 1 star but I have no other option. I made the biggest mistake of my life on September 2nd 2023 by purchasing a 7pc bedroom set from Ashley in Gaithersburg. This is my first review online in 45 years so you can guess how PISSED I must be. NEVER EVER buy furniture from them as they are the biggest CROOKS, LIARS and have the WORST customer service on our planet EARTH. The furniture was delivered on 25th October and thanks to the delivery guy who damaged my wall while carrying the Chest. Guess what, he claimed the damage was already there. Everything that I bought is DAMAGED. With in 72 hrs of the delivery I asked them to take everything back but all I got from them was a lot of hold time and PHONE BANGING. They are forcing me to keep the DAMAGED furniture which I will not. I have filed a DISPUTE with Synchrony bank and will go further if needed. In the uploaded pictures you can see the DAMAGES and the big GAP between the mattress and the bed on both sides where I have to keep pillows so that my 10 month old baby boy doesn’t fall into. IF ASHLEY WOULD BE THE ONLY PLACE TO BUY FURNITURE- I’LL KEEP MY HOUSE EMPTY!!

Ashley Furniture was awful. I would give it 0 stars if I could. It took OVER 3 months to get a satisfactory couch that was not damaged or looked used. Communication was non existent from the store to the distribution center. Incompetence from everyone.We had to show proof of the damage and emails to substantiate everything even though it was clear they (management, sales,delivery) dropped the ball. After months of refusing to knowledge their errors we received a new couch . It was a poor quality price of furniture. First and last time that Ashley will get my business. 2 stars because l like the bed that I ordered and it came more quickly than expected but the salespeople are deceptive. They made it sound like delivery and installation were included but it is not. You can’t just get delivery (delivery is free online) and installation is very expensive. The deals are meant to look better here but they aren’t. Just shop online if there is something you want. Instore is a waste of time and money unfortunately. Very little transparency in the transaction until asked and clarified.

This has hands down been the most disappointed experience I have ever had with purchasing a piece of furniture. We purchased a sofa on 8/8/22. We werent able to have an immediate delivery and I confirmed there was no time limit, however, when I scheduled the delivered, I was told they sold ours, and they never told us. It was back ordered until the end of the week, then the next week, and then the next week. On 12/28, I spoke with Maria (manager) who said I needed to speak with Rohin, GM, and that he would call me on 12/29. He never called, so I called him and was told he would be back the next day. I never heard back. I had to call again and scheduled my delivery for 1/11/23. I took off of work to be available, only to discover that it was damaged. The upholstery is not taught, the framing is lumpy around the entire perimeter, certain pieces aren’t aligned, and two of the cushions are not as firm as the others. I contacted Ashley immediately on 1/12/23, and spoke with Rohin. He said he had to receive approval to refund me but that he would submit a ticket to the manufacturer about the defect and schedule someone to look at it. He asked me to send pictures which I did but I never heard back. I called 1/30 after not hearing anything- Rohin never submitted that ticket. I called on 1/31 and 2/3 and was promised call backs but never received one. I emailed Rohin several times to no avail. 6 weeks later, I filed a BBB Claim- it was only then that I received contact about scheduling a technician to assess the damage on the sofa. They were unable to come out for over another month-4/13/23. Given that I was not yet living at this house, I took off of work to be there. The morning of the appt, I received a message that the tech had been in an accident so I would need to reschedule, which was another month away- 5/4/23. I took off of work again, and to my dismay, they called again that morning to cancel-I pushed back on this, and was told that the tech had been terminated. They agreed to send me their best guy to look at it later that afternoon, who said the entire sofa was completely damaged. Ashley did follow up regarding this and confirmed that they would be replacing the sofa. It was scheduled for delivery on 6/22/23. When they arrived, they said “all of the sofas are damaged like that." The new sofa was also damaged, so I declined the delivery. They suggested I call Ashley for a refund, which I did right away. I spoke with Joe, the General Manager and went through the series of issues I had over the last year. He said that due to all of the trouble I’ve encountered, and the fact that after two deliveries, I still had not received what I purchased he would provide a full refund if I came into the store. I told him that I could be there the next day (I live an hour away). When I arrived at the store, he reneged on his promise and told me that now I would need to return the damaged sofa in order to receive the refund. This was not part of the terms of our agreement the day before. When I questioned this, Joe spoke with me with in a sarcastic, condescending manner. I reminded him that this was quite the opposite of what we discussed yesterday. He then claimed to have left me a VM that day to let me know- I did not receive such VM and also questioned the need for one unless he was reneging on our agreement. I clearly wouldn’t have agreed to driving an hour each way simply for a refund. Joe then offered me a refund that was a little over $400. I declined- he then offered me $755. I told him I wanted to speak with the Regional - and when he spoke with him, the promised amount went down to $712.82. He refused to offer me our agreed upon full refund, or the $755 that he had offered me minutes before- another reneged offer. When I questioned this, with disdain in his voice, he said “guess you should have taken my original offer” This is extremely unethical, and I will NEVER do business with Trashly again!

They're simply telling lies. Please read the whole story if you want to buy something from them. We bought a mattress, TV stand, sofa, ottoman, lamp, and a throw blanket. Dory helped us during the whole time. I asked him 3 times if there was a fiberglass material in the mattress and he replied "Only Chinese mattresses have fiberglass". Because he replied 3 times that there was no fiberglass in the mattress I choose to believe him. But then 1 month later, the items arrived, and when I checked the mattresses label I saw the mattress contains %60 fiberglass! And unfortunately, this isn't the only problem. The TV stand is cheaply made and even if you assemble it right the drawer won't close entirely (the guys from the logistics firm that Ashley stores have an agreement with assembled it first and then as the drawer didn't close my husband took a look at it and realized that it is cheaply made). And the third problem is they said they can not deliver the lamp but we can come and pick it up from the store the next weekend. We stopped by that weekend but they told us it didn't arrive at the store you need to come up next weekend. And on top of these 3 problems, the sofa didn't fit the building stairs (my husband said if they can try in some way there was a chance to fit it but the guys from the logistics firm didn't bother and probably didn't understand my husband's idea because of the language barrier) so we had to return it. And of course, they didn't refund the full price. We told them all the problems we had during the whole time and gave them a chance to manage the whole situation but they never care, they're definitely good salespeople with their lies that's all. They'll probably write a so-called support comment but never take action so don't waste your money on these cheaply made store items.

Don’t waste your money. The furniture is poorly made and will only last a few years. And do NOT waste your money on the “protection plan.” It only covers stains or scratches but if they feel like the damage is from wear and tear they won’t fix it. But would like to suggest, when they deliver furniture, DO NOT sign the delivery confirmation form without inspecting your furniture and making sure your furniture is free from defects/flaws. HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. No one there, not even the store manager knows what customer service is or serving the public. Very unprofessional and do not know their own store policy and guidelines. Received many incorrect responses about an Adjustable bed that was purchased from the Gaithersburg location and it stopped working. Have been getting the run around on getting a $2000 bed frame fixed since May 1, 2023. Still until this day, we are sleeping in an upright position because the bed will no longer adjust. I was provided a number where no one answered for over a month. The Store was of no help and the manager Joe Deluccia was very rude and stated " it is out of our control and I don't have to help you." Mind you this is my mother's bed who just passed away 6mths and Joe said he "Cares nothing about that, because there's nothing he can do". Fast forward...Last week I finally get an answer from the warranty department where they give me instructions to send the invoice for the merchandise. I call Ashley Furniture Gaithersburg where the bed was purchased to have them email the warranty dept. I spoke to a lady name Mary, gave her the information and she was going to email the invoice. Today I call Ashley Furniture and get a TOTALLY different story. The email was never submitted and they are saying I have to come in person. All a BIG WASTE OF TIME AND ENERY to still have an Adjustable bed that is not working and where the company was notified almost 2 months ago. Totally unacceptable and I would never give them my service, money or referral again.

UPDATE: We asked him 3 times if the mattress contains fiberglass and every time he told us that it doesn't contain fiberglass. But when the mattress come we saw on the label that it contains %60 fiberglass. So horrible that he can tell a lie just easily. We're very disappointed. It was a great experience! Everything was high quality. The people were amazing. Especially Dory spent hours with us with his patience and big smile while choosing furnitures. I would definitely recommend this store.
DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY i made my purchase in march of 23. SOME of the furniture was delivered. my bedroom set & my coffee table were not ready yet and would not be sent out for 2 weeks or 3 weeks. the coffee table arrives all dented up and the side of table would not close properly. wait another 3 weeks for a replacement. the pieces for my bed frame were the incorrect size. again, had to wait a bit for the correct sizes for my bed frame. as i am inspecting my night stand and dresser, i noticed a couple of small dents on the nightstand. damage on the dresser where do i begin.... well one, my drawers would close all the way. i call the store & let them know, they send out another repair man. the guy they sent out told me to use a little force when closing it. you shouldnt have to use force to close a dresser draw. finally, he tells me the damage on the dresser comes from someone breaking or dropping the dresser. they tried to glue back on the piece that broke off. i already know ashley isnt going to do anything but offer to replace it or send out another repair man. i dont want any more people in my house. these payments are ridiculous for effed up furniture. the quality of the furniture is not very good at all. here we are in mid june & i'm still dealing w/ this. dont buy from ashley

Purchased furniture in Dec 2022. Informed us to call when we were ready for it only for the couch to be sold to someone else or sent back to warehouse no one ever informed us. Finally get the couch weeks later the couch has a stain and the legs are messed up. Been trying to get this issue resolved since December it is now May and my couch still has a stain and messed up legs. every time I reach out to Ashley’s it’s not their problem but their service departments. I try getting it resolved through the service department and it’s not their issue it’s Ashely’s. I am very disappointed in this service and I will never be doing business with them again.
Fraud staff and manager! Beware!!! I bought a sofa and it did not fit in my living room so I called the store immediately to return it with the shipping truck. They took the sofa back (did not put any of my furniture back in the original spot) and did not give me the full refund. They asked me to buy another item of the same value so I told them that I would buy it at another location. They automatically added a sofa set and set it up for delivery. A SOFA SET THAT I NEVER SELECTED! Had to go back and ask them to remove the item, collect half the refund and swore never to set foot in this location again. Please don’t be fooled by the manager’s nice words.

They have a nice selection in the store but that's where the good news stops. My husband and I got an influx of money and we decided to go treat ourselves with a nice new sectional. We were in the store for 30 minutes, walked past the manager twice and sat on 5-7 sofas trying different ones out. The manager sat on his phone the whole time and ignored us (presumably because we don't look like we have money, because another couple in there looked upscale clothing wise, and were getting serviced the whole half hour by another employee). Highly dissapointed in the service here, when I went up and told them what happened I thought he was a regular sales person. When they said he was the manager I left without much explaination because the look on his face told me he didn't care about what I was saying.

Buyer beware on items that are not in-stock. The sales guy will not tell you if the items are on back order unless you ask. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF ALL MY ITEMS WILL BE DELIVERED ON THE DAY REQUESTED. I WAS told YES.. however on delivery day only the sofa was delivered.. Then called the store and my Ottoman and entertainment unit was not on stock! Just be honest and upfront on delivery times!
Don't never order from them, they take your money and if you get a protection plan and they have a defect in there furniture they do not help you. the supervisor raham was very unprofessional, I had to call customer service to get help because my table set had a defect and my chair broke, I been dealing with this since September and I spent almost $4000 buying from them. please save your time and money and go yo bobs furniture

Design flow bench! This bench has broken only because of two medium people sitting on that! Breaking the bench was not the worst part. The worst part was their manager’s response and manner after I talked to her! Se never said sorry or apologize!!!! She only said you didn't buy a guarantee, so I cant help you. I request her to send someone to repair on my cost, so they took my info and never received any call from their side!!!! Their customer service was more awful than their bench!! Not worth the frustration. First staff was super helpful because they wanted to make sale. We were told our furniture was in wearhouse and ready to deliver ( that’s the only reason we bought it )- two weeks later no furniture. No call just cancelled delivery, twice. Corporate and store keep blaming each other . One of the store salesman simply laughed at us. We will not be doing business there again. Still waiting for my furniture.
All there samples in their showing room were nice, but the things delivered to my house are ugly, I know there were some different between them but just couldn’t tell what is the difference
I was looking for a dresser and came out with a dresser, nightstand, mirror, shelf/desk, and bed frame! I had outstanding service with Ish Verma he gave me discount’s on everything. I would definitely recommend coming here for furniture because they had low prices and many beautiful pieces! also the manager was lovely and helpful and she was also bilingual.
WORST WORST WORST STORE AND EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! WISH THERE WAS - ZERO STARS!! We ordered furniture last year, and we either didnt receive them for months, or received defective parts, and the delivery people destroyed our dry wall during delivery and committed a fraud by stating to customer service that we signed a waiver contract acknowledging the damage. We made multiple attempts to call customer service and corporate and everyone we spoke to were lying, acting naive or RUDE!!! We received different size cushions for our couch and everytime we called the store we were given stupid excuses like the couch fell of the delivery truck, because of covid the manufacturer made a mistake in measurements etc. We stopped by the store 5 times to resolve this issue and suddenly one day the front desk lady found the cushion in the warehouse and says (it was ordered for another client, but she is out of country, so u can have hers), the same cushion, color and measurement as ours?!!!! Seems odd!! We received a defective coffee table and kept calling the store for replacement. It took them 7 months to ship parts at home, and now everytime I call the store to schedule a technician to come change the defective parts, the store hangs up on me. I can go on and on and on.. the most rude, worst store ever!

Worst Customer Service. I've been a customer for a long time. I had placed an order for a bed. After a two weeks they shopped broken bed . I called too many times and spoke with several Employees & even a Supervisor. They gave me different reasoning. to change the bed finally they say some one will come and fixed the bed , They try find the bed in my bed room for new bed try to find by glue (wood concter) IT NEVER HAPPENED!!! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS STORE AGAIN. DO not buy any thing , they don't know at all Customer Service.

DON'T BUY, IT'S A NIGHT MARE! We bought a full set couch hoping the quality would be the same as the one they showed us on the display. But it turns out to be a night mare, it was made poorly, the couch sank very quickly and started to make sound when we sit on it. We approached the store to give us a solution but they hardly addres the issue.
I paid for a couch that was supposed to be delivered in 1 WEEK was delievred 3 WEEKS later and guess what delivery service just left without notice and they have not even been waiting for long it was 8 mins by the time we were looking for them. Cherry on top they even left without calling or saying they would leave AND no1 from the delivery team wAs answering the phone. Ashley was not helpful. This is ridiculous. Horrible Costumer service.

I really don't write bad reviews and always provide the benefit of doubt but my experience has been pretty bad. My wife and I purchased a dining set on May 8th, and it was delivered last week (06/22), with a wrong item. After calling the store and explaining, the lady at the reception told me its going to be another 8-10 weeks for it to arrive. Later, my wife called the store and the same lady rudely explained to my wife that this was a customer fault because we signed on what the sales rep told us. Apparently the sales rep entered the wrong order, and WE were supposed catch it and instead she claims we signed and agreed to get this wrong item delivered? This is beyond bad customer service. Moreover, no one intimated us that our items were available in the store, to be delivered. I just happened to call the store on 06/17 just to see where things are, that's when I was told "Oh, didn't anyone call you?" NO. Trying to put the blame on an unsuspecting customer is absolute horrible after sales service. And I can't even begin to talk about the sales rep Ish, who spoke only to me, mostly ignored my wife and kept on hovering around us until we made the purchase. And after we finally did make the purchase, he forced us to write a 'good' review right then and there. That's not how reviews are done my dude. We felt pressured. Also, no calls or emails from the manager Rohin after being promised someone would get back to us to address this wrong shipment. The front desk staff just straightaway says the manager is not available. And be ready to drive all the way to the store to get your questions and issues sorted out. They do not bother answering anything on the phone. Just avoid this store and save yourself a headache.
We ordered 2 leather sofas in September we were supposed to get them in December. The delivery was postponed several times without any notice. We found out when we called in January. At last they were delivered but the deliveryman damaged one sofa with a knife while removing the package. Fortunately my husband was there otherwise he would have hidden the damage as it was under the sofa. Instead of admitting it he lied saying it happened in the warehouse and someone will come to fix it. I called a manager and he confirmed not to take the sofas if one was damaged. So we didn’t take them and we decided to cancel the order. First time and last time with this company!

He took the time to understand what I wanted in a bed frame and walked around with me to go over each type in detail. He was the reason why I brought the bed frame at the end of the day. He even gave me at great discount (over 200 dollars in savings) by talking with his sales manager, Maria (thank you so much too! She was kind enough to help as well and solidify the discount). I PAID for the shipping, the Employee said that she will have the Supervisor call me about getting reimbursed for the shipping fee in 15 minutes. IT NEVER HAPPENED!!! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS STORE AGAIN.

HORRIBLE. Ordered my furniture April of 2021 and told I would have it by first week of June 2021, then told July, then told August, then September, then finally delivered November 16th. In the middle of all of those promises, I was told several times they were waiting for one more piece to come in, that piece would arrive but then they would have sold my other pieces by then and so on. Managers include Justin and Raheem, but there were others. DOESN'T STOP THERE: The sofa set came with broken LED cup holder lights. Total run around getting that fixed. BUT WORSE, on November 16 they damaged my wall upon delivery, still getting the run around, and the installers didn't connect the adjustable base wires, still getting the run around on that as well. I was also told I would receive three separate statement credits for my nightmare, never happened. DO NOT EVER SHOP HERE. NOT EVER
My husband and I can in about a week ago to buy a bedroom suit. We were greeting By Ish he spoke directly to my husband and pretty much ignored me. Which I thought was very disrespectful. He did come in and check on us a few times again only acknowledging my husband and not really me. It was only when my husband explained to Him that he wasn't selling this bedroom suit to him but to me that he finally acknowledged me. He did get us a good deal which was the only reason we proceeded. After ever thing was said and done which both my husband and I did not like was. Ish wanted my husband to write a review right there in front of him for Google and to take a picture of it. This made us both very uncomfortable and we found it to be very unprofessional. Honestly at this point I do not think we will return to this specific Ashley because of the staff. I hope our delivery goes well.

Purchase from anywhere else than this location. I ordered a replacement side panel, a straight wood piece, for a bed set I previously purchased as this location. It has been nearly three months and every time I am able to get a hold of someone, they say the same thing "we placed the order with the manufacturer but it hasn't shipped yet" with no additional information. Zero information and zero help from this place. If you call, you'll have to let it ring up to 20 times. When you ask to speak to a manager, he is always "assisting a customer at the moment". They'll ask if you want a call back, but they will never call you. You have to physically go into the store to talk to the manager face-to-face just to be told they have no idea what is happening with the manufacturer or where anything is. This is a franchise run by Regency furniture.

As a Hispanic female and have been a loyal customer for many years. I love the quality of the furniture. However I was treat very poorly by 3 African Americans women who process payments. These individuals never responded to any of my phone calls. This made me have to go in person. After arriving to the store these women were extremely rude to me! These women were screaming at me when I asked them about my furniture that I never received and ordered over 2 months ago. This is unacceptable since I had already paid Ashley’s Furniture $3,465 for the ítems.

The worst Experience ever pay very close attention to your invoice they are full of gimmicks and if you are not careful they will rip you off. They are professional scammers and when you want to talk to a manager no one to be found. If you talk to 3 different people you get 3 different prices. They pretend as if they were giving us a discount for Labor Day but what they did was quote us a price with all the stuff you need included and then when it’s time to pay they secretly remove stuff and quote you a “discount” price which is not really a discount they just secretly took stuff offf. this store in Gaithersburg is by far the worse and I have been shopping Ashley for more than 10 years

We got the furniture within 3 weeks, not the 8-12 week timeframe given. I was pleased with the delivery personnel, who called before delivery and waiting patiently while I inspected the TV furniture stand.

Check their official Amazon page. Found a couch in store, it was $1530, on the official Ashley Amazon page it was $470. Salesmen didn't have much of a response when asked why. Was told it was 8-12 weeks before delivery if bought in store (they did offer me the $470 price) but it was only 3-4 weeks through Amazon. Glad we got to test the couch out, but it's flat out robbery of anyone who isn't going to do the internet research.

After 16 weeks of waiting we still didn’t get our couch… So hopefully the item is ok but the staff just couldn’t care less… I called so many times and they put you on hold that lasts forever or tell you they will call and never do. I missed phone call to schedule the delivery and suddenly now I need to wait another week and a half.. zero courtesy or any willingness to try to compensate for this time… unbelievable.

I went from being followed by one of your associates. To finding him chasing one of your female associates around the store. Managers were nowhere to be found. Then to add insult to injury the rest of the male associates were just standing around of their personal phones texting and looking at social media. The worst experience EVER!!!! Placed an order on 4 Feb 2021 and still waiting and it is mid June2021. We call on a weekly basis to find out when our furniture will be available and we are told: “It will arrive at the end of the week and we will call you on Mon/Tue to set up delivery”. This seems to be the corporate script they use with everyone since two other customers have told me the same when I went in person to check. The Manager Rohan Alam is incompetent and useless. He promised me twice to call and follow up and still no call. I have tried to get him on the phone multiple times and he is always with a “customer”. The only person that has tried to help me and listen to me vent is Alisha. She should be the manager since she is the only one at the store that answers the phone. Don’t waste your time and money on this place!!! Customer service is non-existent!!!

Avoid this store, the collection is good and sales dept. will say all the right things you want to hear, but that also includes lies to get the sale done. In our case, we went in and shopped for the living room, bedroom. Got a good offer and was promised to get everything delivered on the requested date. Then comes the payment and invoice, here's where it gets tricky, even though they verbally agreed to our delivery requirement, their invoice gives a very broad range of 8-12 weeks, we specifically pointed this out and were told not to worry and this is standard documentation. We called them the next week to confirm everything and that's when things started going downhill, they said they're waiting for 1 item and would call us back, after few days we had to follow up, its still the same thing, then again after couple of days they said the delivery will be done next week i.e. the requested delivery date and should wait for their call to get the specifics, we were happy to listen to this. But to our horror, they never called, when we called that day their customer rep mentioned they said the items would be delivered to their local warehouse and not the apt ! I mean this is a joke, they would just say anything and lie to your face to buy time and keep fooling you around. As a last resort we had to go back to the store and the only thing that worked was the refund process, they did refund but the loss of time and countless minutes on the call was just not worth it. We had ordered the furniture as we had guests coming in, had to change the plan and it was all very inconvenient. My strong suggestion is just don't visit this store, don't trust the sales guy, and anyone assisting you that day. They'll say anything to get your business. They will NEVER call you or follow up, you have to keep calling them to get the status of the order. Lastly, read everything you sign, they may promise you a particular delivery day/week, but will make you sign a generic form and then point out that document saying you signed for it. Cant be trusted at all.

I bought a sofa set, in all cash just so it would arrive faster. They told me it would be ready in 2 months.. 3 months passed so I called and they told me that the set was lost. Not only did they not inform me of this but they also never called to tell me about the delay. Im disappointed and upset and will not be buying from hete again.
I ordered a bed set back when I moved into my apartment well over a year ago. Once I moved in there was a return and an additional order to complete my apartment. After that was done there was extra money left on the account which I was told was going to be taken off (only $140). They told me it was going to take 2 billing cycles to be removed. Well I waited and waited and waited checking in from time to time to make sure it was still being processed. After almost 4 months of waiting their credit card company “Synchrony” told me I had to contact the store. The store is now telling me it has been too long and they cannot make any adjustments. I have been ran around by these people so much it’s insane. Look elsewhere for your furniture
Do not buy from Ashley. They will take eight months to deliver your furniture. If they mess up your order, they blame you. Their delivery people loosely assemble your furniture, provided they even know how to assemble it. I would give zero stars if possible.
Our saleswoman Hajo was excellent. She paid a lot of attention to our needs and the timing of our moving schedule. She helped us find just what we needed, (IN STOCK!) during the Covid slowdown. We appreciated this Ashley Furniture store SO much that we returned twice more to purchase furniture for other rooms as well.

First time shopper... was told 2-8 weeks for furniture delivery to the store, called multiple times after the 8 week mark, got different stories each time and no one could locate or even track where my furniture was nor if it was even en route to the store at the 10 week mark. I was told they emailed corporate who had not returned an email two days later before I went up to the store myself (was then told it might not be until a few months more until my furniture will arrive - where did that come from if they have no idea WHERE IT IS?!?) and got a refund. The lack of communication and wrong information is unbelievable. I also don’t understand how a company does not have some sort of tracking system for big money items? I will not be shopping there in the future.
I visited the store for the first time today. I was very pleased with the inventory but not the attire of the staff. Their is a young lady with a sweater that doesn’t fully cover her stomach. And she has a belly ring. NOT BUSINESS ATTIRE! Please address this issue ASAP.
We bought headboard and night stand. Asked if their bed frame would work with the Avocado mattress we were buying. We were told yes. It didn't. Mattress hung over end of bed frame almost a foot. Unfortunately they would not take it back. Therefore be careful on what the sales person tells you. They are only pushing furniture.
Had a darcy sofa for close to 5 years, sturdy and good quality. Moved multiple times, no issues while moving. Also had bedroom furniture and dining furniture from here for years too, had no issue. Recommend for cheaper furniture atleast.

I attempted to buy a couch and loveseat set from Ashley's during their 65% sale in October 2020. They said it would be delivered in 2-8 weeks, and said they would call within 3 days to give us an update of when to expect the furniture. They did not call, so we had to call and were told it would be closer to the 8 week mark. So we waited 8 weeks and then called again after receiving no word and were told that they would have it by the end of the next week. So we waited another week, still no word. So we called again and they said they would receive the furniture by the end of the next day. So we waited, and again, no phone call. We finally talked to someone else who said that in their system it said we should have received it 2 weeks ago. They emailed corporate, but never received a response. Then we were told that we might not receive our furniture until March after we were told we would receive it by December at the latest. We finally cancelled our order and will be shopping elsewhere for our furniture.
Don't buy furniture here are no good quality and my sofa 14 month old and have manufacture problem and I paid insurance but ashley want charge me 150 for a tech go to my have and check my sofa is insane I never gonna buy anything from here look and think quality are no the best here. Look is inside my sofa
Don't waste your money on any Ashley Furniture product. They sell defected items, and when you go to get it serviced, they'll file it as "customer caused" so they don't have to replace the faulty product. This is on top of the fact that you'll have to call them repeatedly for months just to find this out. Never buying anything they have to offer ever again.
Beware when considering furniture at this store that the delivery times are ridiculously high (two months). The staff members who I have engaged with are really unhelpful in relaying absolutely any information. The staff who handle the delivery and payment are also rude and defensive which isn't particularly useful when trying to understand where the furniture I had purchased was.
Never go to Ashley in Gaithersburg. It's been over 7 months I can't remember where I put my huge list of problems with this place .. 1.. recliner didn't match the sectional 2. Finally got replacement after months but was told to pick it up and I will be charged for delivery 3. I was charged for the first recliner which was $147 more then the recliner I own now 4. They don't repond about giving me my refund for the new couch 5. My sectional connection piece didn't match up and they don't me to go through a third party to fix it This really was just the beginning and half the list. I almost finished paying off my couch and no one can respond about giving me my refund.. do your self a favor and stay away . The manager talks a good game but when it comes down to it he is running a poor operation. Hopefully Ashley can change there ways!
Ordered a sofa. was told delivery will take 4-6 weeks. it was also handwritten on the invoice by sales person. Actually the only reason I've ordered from this store is due to them promising to deliver it in 6 weeks max. Now they keep saying that they never said it and the delivery is actually going to take 8 weeks or even longer and that I misunderstood them, because apparently they "told" me that when I ordered! "Great service! " Hopefully will receive my sofa in 8 weeks and will never buy anything from this store again. P.S. not the first time them using an excuse of misunderstanding, but will be the last one for me!

The young lady in there is a liar, stated that a sofa recliner selling for around $1300 was full leather, not even top grain with match leather on the sides, “full leather”. I am glad We took pics of the sofa and compared online, that sofa was “faux leather”. Be aware, take pics and compare it online to verify information provided at the store.

Had a great experience shopping quality furniture over the president's day weekend. Even with the 55% sale going on that weekend, the furniture was quite expensive, although we loved the quality of solid wood and real leather pieces. The store is quite beautifully and neatly organized, the staff is very friendly, and we were given excellent service and pricing on everything. Will revisit this review in a couple of years when I would have used my furniture a bit more. Edit: 2.5 years checkin. The furniture is still in excellent condition. The best furniture we have owned bar none. We made multiple purchases since then, bought more real leather sofas and outdoor patio furniture. The issue is always delivery time. If you are prepared to wait multiple weeks, you can get great quality furniture. I am satisfied and am a lifelong customer.
Went there looking for couches/sectionals
Ashley home store has great items. We purchased a dining set there in 2018 and it still looks great. They have good deals. I recently purchased items that are taking forever to come. But I think it is due to corona virus.
I bought ottoman more than 2 weeks ago and was assured I'll get it in 2 weeks and no longer. With the sales person we checked availability of the product (that was my request since I already had bad experience buying it online) and found 3 in stock in PA wearhouse. Sales associate assured me I'll get it no later than 2 weeks because it was in stock. Today I called and was told that it is not in stock, was on hold for awhile and told they will call me when it's arrived. No explanation, no order status, nothing. This is unacceptable service. Their pledge is to provide a high level of customer service but their service is so far from being good. Very disappointed.
Bad experience takes more than six weeks to arrive, I bought a bed for my mother, they told me that it would arrive on August 1 and it lasted until August 31, the delivery men built the bed and when I see it, they brought a wrong bed, I called the store and they told me that an mistake had happened and that it was their fault, I told them of course that it is your fault, about the mattress they did not bring it to me with the same order I called the store again and they told me it was another mistake, and that the mattress would arrive the same day in the afternoon, they brought me the mattress and when they put it on the bed I see that it was not the mattress I asked, they had brought me a different one, I call the store again they toll me another mistake and the mattress I ordered will arrive in two more weeks, they did 3 mistakes with my order, I do not recommend this store if you have Ashley as the first option well just take the second option

Hello, My experience shopping at Ashley Furniture has been a very pleasant experience. From the moment I walked into the store I was greeted with such amazing customer service from my Salesmen Cory. He was just right, not pushy, let me shop around then we talked business. I ended up purchasing a box spring and few pillows. When I reached the customer service desk I was greeted but a wonderful women named Mavis who’s smile can brighten up a room, that process was also smooth sailing. Ashley furniture store is the best store for couches and I love Gaithersburg location. The entire team was very patient and helpful. Answered any questions I had and provided me with other options I may have not considered prior to my visit. No one bothered me too much and I was able to browse the store for as long as I needed. Ahmad was very nice and had superior customer service. I was looking for something modern and I found exactly what I wanted. He even pulled apart the sectional pieces right in front of me to show me how I could customize my living room furniture. He was extremely knowledgeable about each furniture piece. I’ve never had a worse customer service or product experience. Our couch cushion started coming apart at the seam within a month, and I’ll spare you the full-length version of the story but it took 5 phone calls, 3 emails,and 2 full months to get any response. That’s only counting the correspondence to the specific store we purchased from... because it’s also worth noting that Ashley is run by franchise, so when I tried contacting corporate customer service on several occasions, they told me that they will do absolutely nothing, even if I can’t get a resolution from the location that I purchased it from. If you value your money and your time, do not ever make a purchase from Ashley Furniture.
I am a very happy customer. To start off I went to the Ashley Homestore in Glen Burnie on Richie Highway and their service was really bad. I had two items that I wanted to purchase, I checked on line the the prices were cheaper. I ask the sale per to price match, it states that they will price match. I applied for the credit card and I got it. Their machine was not working so I could not get my print out of the credit card. So as time went on the sales person told a me that they can not price match their own site. So we went back and forth about what was advised and what he is telling me. That pisses me off. Then he tried to charge me $400 dollars more then the on line price. At this time after being there for about three to four hours I was done dealing with it. So I wanted to leave and I asked the man can I get a print out of my credit information. I was told no. If I didn’t buy my furniture that day that I would not get the sale price and I would have to wait 7 days to get my credit card. I went to the manager to get my information and he lied to me to, but made a mistake by clicking on my name and my credit information came up. I took pictures of my information and left. I call the store in Gaithersburg and talk to Darius Jackson explain what had happened to me at the other store and he said that he can price match the Wed site. So I went to see Darius Jackson on Sunday around 10:15 he was very nice and I showed him everything I wanted and with the protection plan. Darius showed me both products to make sure it’s what I wanted and then we went to the checkout where I met with Darius boss and he went into the system and made sure that everything is right and they price match everything to the tee. So we placed my order and I was a happy customer. One the I can tell you, is that they have the best customer service ever. Darius and his boss treated me like I was the only one there and made sure that I got what I wanted. I was done and out the door within 30-45 minutes. Thanks Darius for taking care of me and yes I would recommend other people to Darius. At least I know he will treat them good, and with respect.
Elaina was a very knowledge and patient saleswoman. She answered all of my questions about the bedroom set that I wanted. I was returning the following day to actually purchase the set and in the meantime she called to check in with me and Eve gave me her personal cell number. She explained all of the financing options very thoroughly. I had a very positive experience at Ashley Furniture in Gaithersburg and I would return again.
My fiance and I had an amazing experience. We were greeted by Joel with an electric smile. He was very patient and knowledgeable. We were very satisfied and our needs were met. I would definitely recommend going to work with him in the future.

I had an amazing experience on Valentine's day. I would say I was pretty demanding and wanted the furniture delivered the next day because of my schedule. Rohin, Cory and Darius all did everything under their control to get the furniture I wanted, arranged for special delivery. This is the kind of White glove service everyone wants. Never buy any furniture on this Home Store. They don't tell you everything. They assured that it will be delivered after 5 days then all of sudden it became 6 weeks. They don' t even call you personally, how do they know if you got the message or not. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! There is a catch if you cancelled their item even if you did not get you will be charge for a restocking fee of 30%. WOW ! This is a high way robbery. This is will be first and last to buy in any furniture especially this Ashley store. BEWARE!

After a week of purchasing a dining set . They make the delivery with wrong parts; they have to take back the dining table. I did call corporate customer service and the store at Columbia MD where I did buy it, and no one can help . Awful customer service!!! I had a terrible experience with this store. They ordered the incorrect sectional. Initially they refused to assist with delivery, it took me crying for them to waive the delivery fee. My order was supposed to come with throw pillows, I did not receive those. The couch is awesome, the service was poor.
The customer service started out great with my first visit. I purchased a mattress and was told that it is guaranteed between 1-2 weeks from my day of purchase. I was initially going to pick it up from the store but went in after a 1 week of purchase to pay for delivery instead and was told ETA was another week (which was fine because that was still in the 1-2 week window). I called after another week passed (total 2 weeks after purchase) and was told to wait a few more days - fine. Called four days after that and was told the order status was updated for an ETA of another 3 weeks. Terrible communication, lack of transparency, and empty guarantees.

Was surprised how big it is inside, 2 full floors. I'm a very matter-of-fact person, which does not always go over well with sales staff, but the woman who helped me - Elaina, according to her card - was very helpful. I told her what I needed, when I needed it, and what dimensions would fit in my space, and she was able to find it without trying to push something more expensive on me that didn't fit my requirements. Delivery guys were nice too, didn't even complain about the kind of actually absurd length of the walk to my apartment from the loading dock.
The salesperson was pleasant and informative! We received a great piece of furniture and will be shopping with Ashley again!

The sales girl was wonderful. I found a love seat and recliner total $2,000. Then the nightmare starts because delivery is one lie following the next. Ashley hires the delivery service so they are resonsible for service. If my items are not here today i am demanding a 100%refund and cancelation of order. I am done with there delivery service.

Horrible craftsmanship and customer service. I purchased two dressers from this store. I also got convinced by the sales-team to purchase the five-year furniture protection plan for another $199.95. The salesperson told me it would cover everything. 14 days after delivery, 1 leg fell off the dresser. I called the store and told them. They sent me an email that I needed to responded to and include pictures of the damage. September 20, 2019, I emailed the photos. My email was forwarded to Brandywine, MD. My email was placed in a queue at Brandywine. I called them September 30, 2019 at 12:10 PM to follow up but I was told they would call me back when they got to my order number. Fine. They did call me back October 2 at 10:35 AM and left a voicemail. Sunday, October 6, I called them back (not realizing they left me a voicemail). Their office in Brandywine is closed on Sundays. I called them again on October 9, and was placed on hold for 23 minutes. I called back and was placed on hold for 15 minutes. I called back and was on hold for 8 minutes. While I was on hold, their office had finally picked up from the previous hold but I was already speaking to someone who then put me on hold again. Attached, please see the photos of the damaged dresser leg that was poorly repaired in the warehouse prior to delivery and badly stuck on with wood glue that didn't hold. However the wood glue held long enough for the delivery men to drop it off. Tomorrow I am going into the store again. If this issue isn't resolved, I am hiring a lawyer. My family has spent close to $15,000 on Ashley's Furniture over the years. The last two purchases (sofa bed and dresser) have been horrible quality and customer service. The costumer service team says it's been over 72 hours since purchase and I can't return the item. They said they can repair it. Just convincing them to repair it took me over an hour and many tears. Don't shop Ashley's Furniture. There are many affordable furniture stores that care about their customers in the D.C. Metro area. Lastly, I also purchased a sofa bed at Ashley's. Upon delivery, the delivery man said if they couldn't fit the sofa bed through the door, then they would remove the door from the frame. They told me each door they remove is $35. I asked if they took check and they said "no, only cash or Venmo." When my husband arrived home and I asked him to pay the delivery man to which he responded "why?" The other driver/delivery man said "Actually, my partner is wrong. We don't charge for removing doors. We just aren't suppose to remove doors." So one of the delivery men was lying to me and trying to get me to pay cash for a service that isn't provided. Through Venmo which sounds even more shady. But if my husband hadn't shown up I would've probably Venmo'd the delivery men at least $35. Was I getting scammed? I say "yes." Most unprofessional employees. Scamming customers for extra money through Venmo. If you are a single female or there isn't a male in the house to handle the Ashley's Furniture delivery men, then be wary and cautious. The delivery men love to take advantage of women.
Any one out there if you are in search of Furniture I strongly advise to look elsewhere.,I purchase furniture at end of June .,and either on delivery or it was already demage ., the thing is till this time I haven't had a tech or anyone stop by they make me take pictures and send them in a number of times of the damage area and all I hear where lies that they take care of it. I even purchase insurance for what ever damage to it. So please for your own piece of mind stay away from this place
Without going into the quality of the furniture sold here. Our experience buying a sofa was horrible. 1. The Sofa we thought we ordered and the one we were sold were not the same. We explicitly made it clear we were interested in a certain model in another color. We made sure we were understood. No problem, we were told. Wait 2-6 weeks and it will be ready for delivery. Apparently, one needs to be an expert in the product code numbers to understand the Sofa we thought we ordered was not an option at all. We waited 4 weeks and got the Sofa we set on but did not want (because of the design). When we called it became clear the design we wanted is not offered in the color we ordered. We will cancel the transaction and hope to see our money back. 2. Don't believe "90 days until you need to make a payment" - this is a third party, and is identical to a credit card application (deceiving practices at best). We applied, only to discover this offer comes with a 80% APR (not kidding) if you miss a payment. We declined and used another mean of payment. We should have stepped out that moment - I wish we did. Conclusions: Have zero intention to make future visits to this store/chain - not interested to try and work with these guys. No Sofa, lower credit score, and a lot of frustration. Thank you. Checking other retailers that A. Know their trade - if what the client wants is not clear to them -they may actually ask B. Not trying to entice you into a crazy APR payment plan.

Went there to look at some couches with my girlfriend and after 15 min a salesperson basically told us that if we don’t buy we are wasting her time since she doesn’t make commission unless I purchase something.
I am only giving one star because I cant give them 0. I went in to take advantage of a sale on a couch, after getting quoted the price it turns out there where several "hidden" fees. Got told via there call back the delivery eta would be in a week. Here we are 2 weeks later and no couch. to make matters worse they claim they cant deliver it for another 8 days....this is not a custom order mind you they even have a floor model... I would not recommend this store and I will not go back to do future business.

The one star is for the customer service received when in the store (or it would be 0 stars). Like other comments, service is super friendly when you're in there looking to spend money. Once you've paid they let you know it will be around 2 months before you get your purchase LOL. In this case we bought a living room set (couch, chair, 3 tables). They said they're waiting on the tables and that is all. They didn't offer to deliver the tables separate so that we can have some furniture to sit on. Why would they? I mean, them losing around $100 on an extra delivery when you've spent thousands is just waaayyy too much to ask for, right? We moved into our new home May 30th, bought the living room set at this store a week later, and still don't have any furniture. I'm already anticipating it to arrive damaged based on the reviews. When you call to ask about your order they act like you're annoying when in fact this company is beyond annoying when it comes to delivering your purchased item. Simply go elsewhere.
People were nice on the phone and in the store but lots of confusion around delivery and lack of calls back from managers that were not resolved for months. After 5 months, however, I got what I bought in good shape and was pleased.
Don't let them take your money. Store regular prices are extremely inflated. One bench seat I was looking at shows at $590 regular price. Online regular price $210. On sale for $168. Even with the stores amazing 50% off 4th of July sale lol... They are asking $295. What a joke.
Their furniture delivery processes needs lot of improvements. I requested them for the furniture delivery on a particular day and they told me they are over booked on that day and cant deliver it. They asked me to pick another day which is fine, I can understand that. When I picked another day, they told me they will call one day before the delivery to inform about the time of delivery. With this kind of process its difficult for the customer to plan their day. If the delivery date falls on a working day then we can not decide whether to take the half day off in the morning, afternoon or evening or the full day off. If its a weekend, they are essentially blocking the full day due to uncertainty in the time of delivery. So we cant plan the weekend in advance. Value city furniture, for example will call at least 3 days in advance to inform about the time of the delivery making life easy for the customers. You cant be calling the customer just one day before the delivery to confirm the time. I spoke to the staff and the manager at the Gaithersburg store but there was no intent from anyone to address my concerns.
We bought a king size bed and a night stand from this store. While buying they told us that it would come with slats and we would not need a bunkie board. Also they said the delivery will be as soon as possible. They made the delivery two weeks later as they said the night stand isn’t in stock. Also the bed came without slats. The manager Rahim will not address your issues. He will never take your calls even if you ask for him. The guys who came to deliver were very rude when we asked them to wait for 5 mins as we were confirming about slats. When we called the store for a bunkie board or a plywood they said they cant help us and that it was the salesman’s fault who gave wrong information. It will be him who will be paying for the bunkie board if we get the receipt to him. Really a bad experience and would not trust Ashley again.

I went to the store and was graciously greeted by Marvin, who showed me other entertainment centers and I chose one that was more suitable and better than the original. Nick and Candice gave me rapid and very courteous service in adjusting my account. All of their prompt, kind, thoughtfulness, and polite service is very much appreciated and commendable. Couldn't find my taste of furniture
I have not had good experiences with Ashley furniture. Much of it has broken within a couple of years of purchase. But their Chime mattress had pretty good reviews online. I thought I would purchase it at the store instead of Amazon in order to use my credit line. I had to go to the service desk to find someone to help me, and the man there directed me to wait for an associate, which took a few minutes. They brought the price of the mattresses down to match the online price, but that brought it below the six hundred minimum required to get the 12 months interest free payments. I ended up buying mattresses elsewhere. I would not recommend this store to anyone shopping for furniture.
Got a floor sample mattress that was $200O for $700. Excellent dealing with our sales guy Corey. Ordered a bed for my daughter on preapproved credit. Overall prompt, expeditious process.

Edit - still not resolved 4/3/19. The manager said they would call me a week ago and I haven’t heard back. I regret going to this store! I have been waiting for my complete bedroom set since September 9th. It is November 15th and I have yet to receive the second nightstand. First delivery resulted in both the dresser (broken leg) and nightstand (chipped) being returned. The dresser was delivered 3 weeks later with the SAME nightstand with visible attempt to repair the chipped area with some filler. I returned the nightstand again and received another one which is visibly darker than the rest of the furniture (plus it’s wider by 1/4”). I have been very patient but this experience has been the worst ever. Employees that I spoke with at this location couldn’t care less and they have expressed ZERO apologies or sense of urgency to resolve this issue!

Really disappointed with this store. Bought my daughter’s bedroom set here, almost 2,000 dollars. Of course everyone is super friendly and available when you’re looking to spend money but once they get your money say goodbye customer service. The day the furniture was delivered some items were chipped, the driver said he had some touch up paint and that the furniture will look like it’s supposed to after paint dries... LIES! The only reason we didn’t send back was because he said that, 2 hours later the paint is a silver and not a white and is very noticeable. I call the store right away, open a service ticket so that our items can be repaired or replaced. Tasha has been great and understanding but everyone else I’ve spoken to like Yancy the service center manager has been a nightmare. I called various times and she was never available, I was told she would contact me Monday morning, nope I had to contact her. She was rude and stated that I only had a ticket for 1 of the items which is lies because I have text messages with one of the employees there sending her all of the damage from all the furniture. I’ve been waiting 5 days for someone to figure this mess out and now have to wait longer for her to get back to me if she ever does. So disappointed and will NEVER shop here again. Save yourself the trouble and just go to Bobs. Customer service in this country has gone to s***.

If you purchase something, and schedule delivery, you are automatically unable to cancel the shipment which they fail to advertise or tell you about up front. Especially when they try to lie and tell you that the truck is already loaded several days/weeks in advance. DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT!

When we entered the store, they let me know that they have 50% off of everything so we looked around and our sales associate was helpful and when we asked for any additional discount he said that he can talk to his manager. His manager came along and tried to "give" us as many discounts as he could after he had sold us more things. Later I went home to find more things I could buy and I came across the items I bought and the prices were much lower than any discounts he has given me in the store, with more than $500 in difference. I am beyond disappointed. If you are trying to buy anything go in the store, look around and shop from them online. I feel scammed and I am going to be canceling everything. beyond disappointed. After I called the store again, the same manage told me that the advantage of paying more would be that I got to feel the mattress or see the bed in person... as if its not possible for someone to go look in the store and order online.
The original salesman (Joel) who helped me was wonderful. However after I went downstairs i was approached by an assistant manager who took control and preceded to be obnoxious and treat me as if I was stupid. He tried to convince me to buy something even after I told him I was not making a decision that day. He said he was giving me a good price (which I don't believe to be true) and tried to convince me to buy an ottoman which didn't match the sofa. Needless to say, I will not be going back there.

This place is not bad I will probably go again to check out furniture just not purchase from here again. The people who helped me were nice. However, I didn't realize the prices online varied wildly from the prices at this location. I was pretty upset to find out what I purchased was $150 cheaper online and it made me feel really disgusted that the salesmen knew this throughout the entire process and didn't inform me or let me know the price could be discounted further. I also was not informed of the no return policy until AFTER I paid. I wondered why I was being rushed to pay and now I know. The furniture itself is pretty nice so I'll just make sure to not trust the people who work there and perhaps I'll have a better experience.
The sale persons and the manager were very helpful and knowledgeable.
This company doesn't stand behind their products. Poor customer service. I bought a desk and credenza in September. In November one of the handles to the drawers of the desk broke. I also noticed a metal piece to the credenza was missing. I called to file a claim and finally after six weeks and many phone calls their service dept returned my call. At first they said they would not cover these issues because it was more than 30 days after I purchased. After a lot of complaints from me, they finally mailed me the parts, warning me about 100 times they would never do this again. I mean these parts could not have cost more than a few dollars. I will never buy furniture from this store again. There is literally nowhere else I could have gotten these parts from.

This is the worst Ashley's Furniture I've ever shopped in, and I generally always go to an Ashley's first when I'm searching. But this one had bad overall customer service. When I first went there, it seemed great and I was helped by a nice associate, but when I came back the next day to actually make the purchase, the cost of the items were "suddenly" $20+ more than what she had quoted me the day before (during the same sale). I continued to purchase because at this point I was committed, and that's when the bad service really began once I was passed off to the folks doing the actual purchases/returns behind the counter. They were extremely rude and unhelpful with the questions I had and didn't do anything at all to make it easier for the sale to go through. After finally making the purchase, I was told 2 of my items were in the store but the other 2 would have to be ordered so it would take 2-6 weeks for shipping. At week 7 I called to see where my items were, as no one had ever contacted me, and was told the 2 items seemed to be on backorder and would not arrive for another 4 weeks. There was no way I was waiting an additional month when no movement had yet occurred so I requested a refund. The manager told me I would have to return to the store in person the get the refund since, for some reason, they could not just refund my card directly. (This is, of course, wonderful news to hear when you don't own a car, were renting one for the weekend of the original purchase, and live over 50 miles away.) But I wasn't going to leave $500 on the table so I borrowed a car and went to the store to get my refund. When I did, not once did the manager-on-duty apologize for the issue or try to make the process easy. Once again, horrible customer service. The first thing he asked was why I wanted a refund and if someone had called me and told me the items weren't coming in. I told him it had been 7 weeks and I had heard nothing so I no longer wanted to wait. Then he asked if he could interest me in another product instead. Never did words of apology pass his lips until I basically pulled them out of him later in the conversation. The rest of the situation followed much the same without any bright spot as far as I'm concerned. If there had been a little more customer kindness, I may have decided to get something else instead, but after this situation, I wanted nothing more to do with this store.
13 months of waiting, yielded only 2 (out of 22) pieces of furniture - both damaged. We placed our order in August of ‘17 to ensure delivery in August of ‘18. We learned in July of ‘18 that our orders were not actually submitted and the furniture was now on back order. Despite our sales receipt for 8/17, the manager blamed us for not following up with them... The Gaithersburg, Maryland location is an embarrassment to the Ashley Furniture name. The entire store is disorganized - the office staff does not follow through with the sales team or the customer and the manager will do ANYTHING necessary to avoid accountability. Do not trust any delivery timeframe that they give you.
I bought a mattress from this store they made me buy a box spring which happens to be too big for my bed.when I called them they told me it's passed 72 hours I cant returned it .ridiculous and the online service is the worst I have ever seen in my entire shopping very inefficient and non caring .the delivery team brought a wrong order to my house and lied to me that my storage was broken.
I am now in the 12th week of waiting for my furniture, non of which were special ordered items, to arrive. Invoice clearly states 2 to 6 weeks delivery in large bold type. All attempts to get a straight answer from the company have failed. I have filed a complaint with the B.B.B. and initiated a charge-back with my credit card company. To add insult to injury, I continue to get marketing emails from the company with the exact sofa and loveseat I ordered and can not get. Do not buy anything from this company.
I knew what I wanted and didn’t want to wait the four to six week ordering time, then wait for delivery. They had plenty in stock which took care of the wait. The prices were A little steep but I found sales and deals and they honored them all and deducted them from my total cost. I haven’t gotten my furniture yet but so far so good.
I bought a couch from Ashley furniture store in Gaithersburg almost a year ago. I noticed about six months later there was unravelling fabric below the armrest on the far side of the couch. This is the area where I do not even sit. Even if someone sat there they would not come into contact with that part of the couch.I called them. I went around and around with Customer Service and then with the furniture repair customer service people. The first time they were supposed to come they didn’t show up. The second time apparently they had the wrong phone number. I sent a number of pictures and communicated by email and called repeatedly. Their managers have no authority are are unable to assist in anyway. Their tech repair man finally came but was very angry about having past my place accidentally and having to come back. He was also very upset over his marriage. He repaired the one side of the couch but now I see the other side in the same spot is also wearing out. There is only one person in my household and I am of average size there is no way that I could have done that much waer and tear on this couch. I don’t even have any children. Basically they will just say anything wrong is caused by “customer use “. It’s obviously a defective couch. Do not buy anything from this Company !

if your looking to purchase furniture don't come here. be warned. I purchase a living room set w/and accent chair that broke less than a month of having it. called I had to file a claim ta tech went to my home to try to fix it, he couldn't nice guy no complaint for him. turns out a piece of plywood broke( this is what there furniture is made from) and couldn't be fixed. the chair has been broke longer than I've owned it. read the fine lines in the back they wont take it back if its passed the 72 hrs its been in your home. I don't know how someone can tell if the chair has hidden damage. I spent a good amount of money on something that didn't last.as I just of the phone with the claims rep. said they will not cover this because it shows no sign of dry rot wood. I urge you to think twice about purchasing from this company and there bogus warranty cause even they told me they don't carry this type of damage. don't buy from here.
Stay away from them!!! They have the absolute worst customer service. They delivered the wrong couch to us, my mother signed for it because she was here for the delivery. When I got home I noticed it was the wrong couch. My husband calls them, he gets told corporate will contact him. 2 days later after he checks in because we heard from no one, we were told we had to pay $150 for them to deliver the right couch because we signed for it, no matter who it was! I will NEVER deal with them. I will tell everyone I know how horrible they are and to stay away! Save your money! They have ruined my couch shopping experience. We picked out a $5,300 couch which they gave us a great deal for. We got a luxora which has a sale price of $1600. We have the pictures to prove it.

It is easy to provide a great review after you receive quality customer service and a good product however, I am giving Ashley four stars because of how they handled my situation related to a return. Although the store policy was rigid regarding final sales, the store manager worked hard to ensure I received an upgraded exchange a great price. Not all stores stay cordial when you have a return or exchange. Thank you Ashley Management for making me feel valued as a customer and providing excellent customer service.

My fiance and I walked into the Gaitherburg store on a Saturday and was greeted and informed of current promotions by Candice. That interaction was friendly and made us feel good. Then after browsing the first floor show room for a while we tried to ask a different employee a question and he just kept walking away from us to hurry up and get to the front of the store and greet someone else walking in the door. His actions were very unprofessional and we almost walked out because of it. Not to mention this young man was wearing these big fake diamond earrings and was in serious need of personal grooming. We also witnessed this same young man downstairs walking around talking on his phone very loadly about how he's at work just hustling for his money. This concerned us a little because he made us feel as if this environment was a bad city corner as apposed to a leading furniture retailer. We decided to look past the extremely unprofessional behavior of one employee and continued to shop. We found Candice again and showed her what we were interested in. The only way we were going to purchase the furniture is if the back was removable to fit through the narrow entryway of our home. Candice ensured us the back was removable and we decided to move forward with the purchase. We spoke with finance manager who was great and waved the taxes on our payment. Not sure if that was because the same furniture is on the Ashley Homestore website for about $200 less but that is another discussion we will have. We were brought upstairs to the counter area to pay for the furniture. After inputting all of our information we were asked to review everything. The picture on the screen was the incorrect color from what we looked at and we let them know right away that it was the wrong color. Candice told us that the picture on the screen was just a default picture and assured us that we were getting the gray color furniture we saw downstairs. Candice also reassured us an email would be sent to the delivery warehouse to make sure the backs would be removed before delivery. We recieved a phone call about two days later thanking us for our purchase and confirming our delivery for the following Wednesday. That was GREAT on there part. So now it is Wednesday and the day of our delivery. The driver calls me and tells me he is outside ready to go. I took one look at the furniture and was immediately disappointed. The backs were still connected and not removed like Candice said they would be. We were then told by the drivers that the backs do not come off. AWESOME...How are we supposed to get this in now. Thankfully the drivers were able to get the furniture apart and inside without a problem. As they reassembled the furniture inside we took a closer look and it was DEFINITELY NOT the same color we originally looked at. I told the driver Mr. Guzman that the color is supposed to be gray. He told me that it was just the lighting in our place and assured me it was the correct furniture according to his paperwork. I signed the paperwork and tipped both delivery men before they left. I called the Gaitherburg store immediately after and expressed how dissatisfied and upset I am with this situation. The young lady Tasha who answered the phone was extremely rude, speaking over me as if my concerns were not important to her. Tasha informed us that since we didn't send the furniture back with the drivers we will have to pay an additional $150 for it to be removed which is very unfair. I strongly recommend her for customer service training again and maybe some phone etiquette training as well. We were assured the backs were removable and that it would be done before entering into our home, that was incorrect. We were assured that we were purchasing and would recieve the gray color, that was incorrect. To top it all off the driver assured us it was the correct furniture color, that unfortunately was also incorrect. I have also been waiting 2 hours now for a follow up call. Terrible! Customer service is awful and rude. Also be careful when you purchase an item in the store, because it’s possible that you will get the item cheaper online including all the same perks and options. Also don’t trust their delivery date, because that is pretty off too! We’ve been waiting for 4 pillows for the past 8 week. Anytime I fall dir an update I get a ride person on the line who speaks over me and disregards my frustrated.
It was great it was 5min yo closing, sales rep was their got up and got on the. Computer to see if he could order my ashley bed. The bed was a online order they stayed past closing and order my bed the manager was great super customer skills, it was a pleasure working with him. This was a another great time at Ashley furniture.

The service was outstanding when it came to being assisted in finding the furniture I needed. However, I paid cash for the items, then the next day I discovered a different furniture store that was much cheaper with the same quality furniture. I returned back to the store with my receipt to ask for my money back but it was extremely difficult and shady. The amount requested to be returned was under $1,000 dollars and I needed my cash back the same day. However I was advised that they could not because they didn’t have the money in the store. (It was approximately 5 pm when I was there). And then they stated I wouldn’t get my money back same day it would take 21 days. So to be certain I got the correct date to return for my money, (even though we all know 21 days is absurd for a refund from a large chain furniture store), the manager became very rude and sarcastic. But then finally after pleading he told me the date. Then advised me that it want 21 days, but 21 business days after advising different. Bottom line, don’t let them swindle you into buying the furniture the first day you’re there. Take your time, shop around. Then if you REALLY want to buy from them make sure everything is in order before you leave the store or it will be an extreme hassle before you can hopefully get your money back. By the way ensure you inspect the receipts because both the refund receipt and original receipt look identical.
I had recently posted a 5 star review because of the great experience my husband and I had at the store. I've never given a 1-star review, ever. Unfortunately now, I am contacting out of desperation and utter disappointment in a poorly handled situation by your Gaithersburg store. My husband and I were in the store in early August looking for new furniture as we had just purchased a new home and needed to furnish it. Our experience at the store was handled well by Corey, the floor representative. Since we were moving a bit far, the first thing we checked was if our ZIP code was available for delivery. Happily, it was! We found some great deals during the Labor Day sale and, we ended up spending over $7,000 that day. As we spoke with the receptionists, we understood it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery and, since the bedroom set we bought was the floor model and would need to be picked up from the store itself, there would need to be a third party deliverer and his delivery fee would be $200. Fine, no problem. Fast forward six weeks, our first delivery from the Ashley's delivery team was made and, the men were kind, courteous, and professional. I then called the store to inquire about the third party delivery with our bedroom set. I was told I would receive a call back that day but, never did. I called the following day and, spoke with Corey, then having to call back several times to try to speak with someone, I finally spoke with the manager Rashad. Rashad got in touch with the third party movers, who then told him the delivery fee would be $400. All of a sudden the delivery fee doubled?! Why?! Rashad said the movers were contracted and there was nothing he could do. Considering Rashad was responsible for making the arrangements with the deliverers originally, that seems highly unlikely. Begrudgingly, and after several attempts of trying to get Rashad to take responsibility for his mistake, I agreed to pay the $400 for the delivery that was supposed to arrive today between 2-3 pm. At 3:15 pm this afternoon, there was no delivery and no call from either Rashad OR the deliverers, when I had asked for a call to confirm they we're in fact on their way. I called the store and spoke to a receptionist and asked about the delivery status. I was then put on hold for several minutes only to then be told the delivery driver would call me immediately. This certainly seems like another mistake for which Rashad would not be taking responsibility. I then received a call from the driver that the truck had been broken down since the morning and he would not be able to make the drive until tomorrow!?! If the situation hadn't been so poorly mismanaged until now, his response would be almost unbelievable. There has to be something or someone I can speak to to rectify the situation. Judging from the numerous poor reviews I just read for this store in particular, something needs to change. I look forward to hearing back about a solution.
Don't buy wood furniture from here and a 5-year protection plan! They don't cover the frame of furniture. Total rip off!
The customer service is horrible. I called two times and asked to speak with a manager and they were "busy." They informed me they would call me back and took my information down but never did. I have just as much of a problem with the manager not taking my call as I do with the rude customer service agents. I purchased my couch at the end of August with an estimated delivery somewhere between 2-6 weeks. This week would be week 6. When I called yesterday, someone told me it would be another week before it reached the warehouse and then they would schedule delivery. Which in my mind, means im not getting the couches actually until week 8 most likely. I would like to add this person was exceptionally rude as well. That is not okay. The person I spoke to kept asking why I wanted to talk to the manager even though she had made it clear the manager didnt want to speak with me. She kept trying to explain ETA's like that was the only issue. It's not. As I stated above, on top of the rude customer representatives, I also dont appreciate being pushed aside by the manager twice like im not worth the time. I eventually just got so frustrated and said whatever- I dont want to talk to you or your manager anymore ......just send me my furniture. After this experience, I will never shop at this store (or probably any Ashley furniture store for that matter) ever again.
Everyone who helped or interacted with me we was gracious, knowledgeable and stayed focused on me and my needs. They stayed with me and provided great support.
If I could give ZERO stars, I would. We purchased a couch, ottoman, and artwork at the end of August. We were told that the item would ship within 3 weeks. It has now been 6 weeks. We have called the store numerous of times and have become very frustrated at the level of customer service we are receiving. Today (10/1) was supposed to be delivery day. We spoke to 5 different people and they first said 11-2pm. Then a 2 hour delay to 3-5pm. I called around 4:15 and they said that the truck was on their way and was 25 minutes away from our home. 3 hours later, we hear NOTHING. We called both numbers and the status was "the truck broke down today". I thought we were the next stop? How did the truck break down and then we were the next stop? Why lie about delivery? I was then told "Ashley furniture has 8 weeks to deliver my couch". REALLY? 8 weeks to deliver as well? This is just a poor excuse. I missed an ENTIRE day of work for no delivery. and now I am expected to miss ANOTHER day of work for this delivery. My ask- is some clarity. Why the poor communication? Can I be compensated for these delays? I waited 9 hours for no delivery. Please call to discuss.
Selecting and purchasing my furniture was a breeze. I was told it would take about 3 weeks for it to come in. After only one week, I was told my furniture was in. I scheduled a delivery time for the following Saturday. They couldn't tell me what time it would arrive, but did say they would call the day before to give me a 4 hour window of time. I got the call on Friday saying they would arrive between 10:00am - 2:00pm. Saturday morning, I had to remove my old furniture, so I did. Then I got a call from Ashley indicating the truck has problems so they would be off schedule by one hour. I could expect delivery by 3:00pm. I waited and waited. At 3:30 I called because the furniture had not arrived and I had not received a call saying otherwise. Ashley could not tell me where the truck was or what the holdup was. At 4:15 Ashley Furniture called to inquire if the truck had arrived. I told them no. They simply said, "it should be there soon." They FINALLY arrived at 4:45pm. The guys delivering the furniture were pleasant and professional. I fell my time was of little concern to them. Good quality furniture, poor customer service.
Ryan Fitch helped us find and pick out our beautiful new bedroom set and sofa. He was efficient, knowledgeable and more importantly friendly. We did not feel pressured at anytime and for us that is important so we can relax and look around. Thanks Ryan
Had a great experience this past weekend at Ashley HomeStore in Gaithersburg! Ryan was my salesperson and he was awesome. He was very helpful and provided me with lots of different options. He got me the best deal on the chair I wanted and went above and beyond to make sure I got it! A huge thanks to him and all the hard-working staff at Ashley Homestore! I love my new chair!

I recently visited Ashley Furniture in Gaithersburg and delt with Mr. Ryan Fitch, he was super friendly, highly knowledgeable, and moreover, just plain ole NICE! I don't see much of that anymore. I was interested in a large leather chair with ottoman (seats 2) and he suggested that he would look through the inventory as it was on the floor and email me. Since I wasn't in a rush for a chair lol, I thought that was a great idea. It's only been a day and he has already sent me 10 images and gone over the pros and cons according to what I discussed my needs were with him. Excellent! Thank you Ashley, and Thank you, Mr. Fitch.. Terrible experience - from a nonfunctional website (wouldn't process my order) to failure to deliver by a specific date (the only thing I really cared about) to having to call 6 times in 3 days to get any kind of answer regarding my order, I should not have spent money here. I also should have looked at Google and Yelp before I persisted in my efforts, plenty of others having awful experiences here. Cory was apologetic but that's about it, no real efforts to provide good service.

Our experience was great (5/5), especially in working with the manager, Rashad. He could not have been more accommodating, friendly, and helpful. To me, the make-it-or-break-it of a shopping experience is the level of customer service: My expectations were surpassed. I also liked not being followed around by a salesperson, as I have experienced in the past at other furniture stores. Thanks for making this and easy and pleasant experience, especiaesp to Rashad. ((Regarding ALL Ashley stores: *Buyer, beware!* When you walk into the store, prices are inflated by at least 300% compared to their online prices, so be sure to check the online pieve of a specific piece you are going for, or if you do go to the store to shop around and find a piece, then check the online price before talking to the sales person: Show them the price, and they'll "match" it. It's very misleading, to say the least, and as I said to my husband when we found out the differences between their advertised in-store prices andh their online prices, "it's robbery!" Rated 4/5 because of this.))
The experience started out quite well. I was looking for a chest for my girls to give them a little extra space for their clothes. I walked in and was greeted by Candace. I simply stated that I was looking for a chest. She was able to guide me through the store and was able to find one that met my needs. It wasn't available but would be shipped in about 2-6 weeks. Not great but okay. After going home and discussing the purchase with my girls they thought they would benefit more from a bookshelf. I was made aware with my purchase that I could cancel my order within 72 hours. I called on the 3rd day within the 72 hours and after a slight struggle with explaining that I was still within the timeframe. I was told that I had to come into the store to cancel. The store is about a 40 minute drive from my home. I had no choice. I drove to the store where I explained why I was cancelling. They stated they possibly had a bookshelf that would match the cost of the chest I no longer needed. Sure enough I found a bookshelf on a large online kiosk that they have there in the store that was close enough to the price. Thankfully I had a little cash on me because there was about a $14.00 difference in price I had to pay. So now from 7/1/18 to 7/4/18 I now had exchanged from a chest to a bookshelf. The item number was given to the cashier to place into the system. I signed a new contract and drove 40 minutes back home. I got the call the next day that I would be made aware when the item would be delivered which was still in 2-6 weeks. Finally the item was delivered only to find out that a small file cabinet had actually been ordered. I looked on my receipt and sure enough there it stated a small file cabinet. I sent the file cabinet back with the delivery driver and immediately called the store and informed them of what had happened. I was told that I couldn't come in to find out what to do next until the file cabinet was returned and restocked. I had to wait until my next day off to again drive 40 minutes from my home to figure out what the next step was. All the while I was without any furniture that I had spent just under $400.00 for. Finally I went back to the store. I showed the team of cashiers a new bookshelf I found on line that was in the same range. They said oh yes that one is in stock but our team found a really nice one for you and he got you a really big discount. When I looked on the new receipt and saw the exchange it was the original bookshelf that I had looked on weeks earlier. The item number was one number different from the file cabinet that had been ordered by mistake. He didn't get me a discount. He found the bookshelf I should have received. I didn't say anything I just said okay. They were all smiles and saying it's a really nice one. Now this isn't to take away from the staff. They were really professional and kind. But this experience had taken a toll on me. So now from 7/26/18 today on 8/17/18 after 3 weeks my bookcase was delivered. I gave 3 stars because I don't see a way to give 3 and 1/2 stars. It was just the process.

Beware at this store!!! They will try to make sure to rip you off!!! They are unprofessional and extremely rude to costumers!! The vendor literally addressed me with "oh man, you have this option already..." they tried to sell a set to us, without name, claiming its discontinued and saying that it's the last one in the company. They refused to tell us the name. By the end, lady who was finalizing the sale (the one at the cash register, the only one processional and kind) told us about the name "of course we have the name, here it is in the computer" showing us the name. I immediately found online the same set for much less on various websites!!! Don't trust them
Over priced junk
I will never order furniture from an Ashley furniture again. After purchasing a sofa and a mattress/boxspring set, I was told that the mattress/boxspring would take up to two weeks for delivery. I had just moved to the area and had nothing to sleep on so I really considered whether I could even wait two weeks. I decided it would be okay since they promised it would be two weeks MAX. Five weeks later I was still sleeping on my floor, waiting for my mattress/boxspring to be delivered. Once I finally got them delivered the most Ashley Furniture offered me in compensation was a $79.95 delivery fee to be refunded. On a purchase that was over $1,000 this felt like a slap in the face. But they refused to compensate any more. I hope I can save someone else from this same fate, Ashley Furniture cannot be trusted to deliver on their promises and they show little remorse for anything that goes wrong.
I've gone to this location many times - spent over 5K in last 8 months or so. One of the items we ordered was a queen size bed, it was suppose to be a full white finish but rather it has finger prints, discoloration, unfinished job. This is just few of the pictures. In reality the entire beds needs to be repainted. Even paid for extended warranty. When called the store, the punting game started and after spending numerous hours, the warehouse that makes this decision, said they will fix this in my home, which I refused with the fear that they will damage other goods. There attitude was simple "it's our way or the highway". As a loyal consumer of Ashley Furniture I boycott this organization as a whole going forward. Good thing I learnt about this organization in my younger age. Time to take my money elsewhere. Adding more info for real readers: You see the response of the store to my feedback? Guess what? I reached out to them via e-mail but NO RESPONSE! All show, no action. Lastly, if you want another verification of their reputation, go to better business bureau website and look them up.
Awesome buying experience!!! My husband and I worked with Daniel who helped us select the perfect furniture for our needs. Definitely reccomend working with Daniel at this location, you will not be disappointed!!!
Here I go again. Its been 5 weeks now and still no table and chairs. I called every week and I am told that the 2-6 weeks is an estimate for delivery. Catherine - who took my call put me on hold 3 times just to tell me that the chairs were in but not the table and the bed I ordered is estimated to be in around June 19th. I guess 2 - 6 weeks is just drilled in their heads to say but they have absolutely no idea when anything will actually be in. I suggested to her that they should never say 2 weeks because it makes customers believe that 2 weeks is a possiblity. I love Ashley Furniture but if I ever get this table and chairs I will never visit this particular store again.

Furniture was of solid and good quality. Delivery service was also good. However the sales people who assisted me on the floor were not very helpful. I felt rushed through the sales process and multiple times I was told I couldn't buy certain furniture in the configuration that I wanted when in fact I could. This significantly delayed my order as I had to make several trips back and forth to the store to make changes the order (I couldn't make changes over the phone) I like their furniture but sadly I probably will not return to the store because I don't trust the sales people.
Recently helped my sister pick out furniture for her newly renovated condo. Our Sales Associate Carmen was wonderful! She listened, offered suggestions, did some research,and was all around part of our team!!Highly recommend asking for her if you plan to shop and want helpful input.

Over 2 years ago, we bought an L shape couch, coffee table and end table. The tables are AWESOME but the the couch is falling apart. The main cushions that are sat on the most are piling SO bad that if you sit with shorts on, you feel them. I would love if someone from Ashley would reach out to me because this was NOT a cheap couch. I did buy the extended warranty but of course it does not cover it. This was the first time using Ashley and I am not impressed.
Purchase three pieces of furniture. Told I was going to be called the next day. No call. Told us going to be called for delivery Arrangements. It's been a week. No response at all. Very disappointed

Damage done to my wall. They are saying I needed to call within two hours, but didn't notice the damage until the next day. Movers entered my unit without permission while retrieving their co-worker who needed elevator security key scanned. Nobody has contacted me, I have been waiting over 12 days to hear back. Nobody seems to cares about the minor damage to my apartment, nor that I wanted to return the couch for another because it doesn't fit correctly in my unit. I asked several times for the General Manager to contact me, and he never did. The gentlemen who originally helped me and made the sale on the show-floor was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and easy to work with.

First of all, It is a little ridiculous that I am getting a request to review this process when the couch still hasn't even arrived... 5 weeks later. The only reason that any star are given is because I want to give credit to the salesman at the store in Gaithersburg, he was the only good part of this entire process. I went to the store to order a couch 5 weeks ago. I was told 2-6 week wait. Fine, I get it, it might take time for the couch to arrive from overseas. I was called after 2 weeks saying the couch has arrived, great. I was so excited. But wait... there were ZERO delivery times available for 3 more weeks. 3 MORE WEEKS. That is ridiculous. This whole process has been more than frustrating. I can only hope that the couch arrives on the actual date that it is scheduled and that it is actually a good couch. Seeing as I can only review the process for now.

Delivery time sucks you wait 4 months to get your items, customer service in the store was the worst you have to ask for and they roll their eyes when you do, when you call to check on your stuff they act irritated and hang up on you. The manager everyone just have a bad attitude.
They forgot the shelves and the fireplace. I am still waiting for them two weeks later. Also, I had to disassemble and reassemble one of the TV stands because it was wrong assembled. See pictures of how they assembled one of the items.
Really bad. I purchase full dining set (6 chairs). They deliverd only 3 chairs. When I complained this, they asked me to pay extra money for 3 more chairs. This is cheating. I will never go at this store! (Gaithersburg, MD). Even I do not want give a star !
Extremely poor customer service and policies. I bought a couch over 6 weeks ago and still haven't recieved it, on top of being told that the couch is now at the warehouse but can't be delivered for another two weeks with the time of the delivery at the discretion of the warehouse, and I'd be notified of this time 72 hours prior to delivery. Overall, I'm very dissatisfied with the service I've received and wouldn't recommend their business.
Floor staff was fine, but I refused to purchase based off the staff at the checkout desks. They were rude and rolled their eyes when I inquired about the unbelievable price markup between online and in store. A $460 couch online was over $1300 in store and they were irritated by my questions, especially when they kept adding in huge fees. I went elsewhere and bought their couch (with delivery) for a price they said was impossible. Garbage customer service and ridiculous in store prices!!!!!!

Promised furniture would be in within 2 weeks, then kept pushing the delivery date. We finally had to go to their warehouse to pick up our furniture... what a joke! Prices are reasonable, but their customer service is awful... beware of the sales people... they'll say anything to get you to buy!
Considering I am still waiting for the correct furniture almost 3 months later, I cannot say I am very satisfied. Sent the wrong piece of furniture the 1st time and still waiting for it to be corrected. Poor communication between all sides at the store/warehouse, etc. I now see why there are so many dissatisfied customers from Ashley. This will definitely be my last experience with Ashley furniture.

Awful store from start to finish. The sales people stalk you throughout your visit, pointing out things that you may or may not care about. When you finally find something interesting, the never ending process of back and forth begins. Worse than buying a car from a dealer. They seriously had to "check with a manager" more times than I could count, and that was only to see if they could match their OWN online price. Seriously?!? They take your personal information before they give you a final price. God knows where that is going now. Their markup strategy of offering discounts of 55-65% off just sets the stage for you to feel like you're getting screwed, especially when those "sale" prices are still higher than what they list online. Then, after an hour and a half of this process just to buy a $200 office chair, they tell me that they won't honor a gift certificate purchased out of state. So much for being a nationwide store. This place is the biggest scam I've ever seen. It would have taken me about five minutes to find and order the same chair at about $50 cheaper online. Spare yourself the headache.
the manager ( John ) to be exact, at this place is very very disrespectful.. he does not respect his customers what so ever he tells his employees not to respect the customers or as he said it “ just answer questions don’t give feedback” I personally bought 6k+ worth of stuff at this store and he compromised my decisions the multiple times I’ve been here with his lack of respect and maturity Im going to call corporate but I just wanted to let customers know before coming here how my experience was and how my family and I were treated. Customer service is so important to me!! While the salesperson was helpful, the counter people and manager were not!! I am still waiting on a call from the manager to address the problem that I have, in reference to the cost. This was my first time in Ashley's Furniture and it will be my last! All the manager had to do was call and discuss the issue, he has not...which leads me to believe he is not concerned once you leave his store. To me that translates to....I really don't need you business nor anyone you may referral!

Incompetent managers who just want to sit on their asses (Ashley and Rohin). My husband and I have encountered NUMEROUS problems with our orders over the last 3 months. Went in and orders a dinette set and sofa and loveseat. The sales person James was excellent. I wanted to buy the floor room model, but I couldn’t. So I spoke with the manager and told him I needed the furniture the following Wednesday. He assured me they would. The next day the receptionist called me to confirm a diff day. I spoke with John/manager and he assured me he’d pull strings to do that. Wednesday came and I called to confirm and was told it was the next Wednesday. Went up there and spoke with another gentleman who was the residing manager because John wasn’t in. While there another customer was complaining about bullshiting John. This is a pattern with John it seems. They need to replace him soon. He’s full of lies and deception.

Unfortunately, our experience at this location was less than positive. The salesperson, despite us letting him know at one point we'd come find him if we were interested because it was becoming very uncomfortable, followed us around the entire store as we tried to have a relaxing shopping experience. No one likes to have someone hoovering around you and hearing their footsteps every time you simply wanted to look in the next room, especially when you try to find a polite way to ask them to back off and they won't. After being told, his remaining went from uncomfortable to plainly rude. When we inquired about a piece, the amount we were told was higher than it listed online. The delivery time from the salesperson was up to 8 weeks, but only half that online as well. We also were informed of a delivery charge that seemed to be contradictory to the sign out front that clearly read "free delivery". In fairness, that may have had small print we did not see, but it was just another reason for us to look elsewhere. We have purchased from other Ashley stores and online previously without this type of experience, so we left. Should we purchase from Ashley again, it will be online or at another location.

This is one of worst customer service!!!. They just focus on selling their product and give you different story once you pay for them. Also, they need to hire more professional delivery and installation employees. You might want to try other Ashley store than this one. I would not recommend anyone to this store.
First time buying furniture from Ashley furniture and terrible experience with delivery. At the store with sales lady ( very polite and helpful), I made sure delivering furniture would not damage my floor or walls since we just remodeled my house with new floor and painting. Delivery was rescheduled from Wednesday to Thursday with a phone call notice and it turned out to be pouring day, so I asked delivery guys if they have shoes covers and told me if I want the delivery now with attitude that they don't give a damn about it. So, I have called the company got connected a lady and explained that I just spent $600 for cleaning the house after remodeling with my concern messing up the floor when bringing the bedroom set and the lady said they don't bring shoe covers since I didn't ask for them when purchasing and asked me if I want the delivery now or not with very unpleasant voice tone explaining that there will be another delivery charge if they don't deliver now, so I was explaining her about my concern and hung up on me, so I have called the store again got connected with another lady with same threat that I have to call to reschedule and pay for delivery, I told her ok to bring the furniture in and assemble and delivery guys took off all of sudden and told her the truck left. She put me on hold a minute and told me I will have to reschedule the delivery with attitude that it is all my fault since I did not ask for shoe covers. 5 minutes on the call and they just took off. It might be my mistake I did not ask for shoe covers, but I think it is common sense that wearing shoe covers for rainy days like all other contractors or delivery guys from other store. Also, I might have hesitated with my concern, but the store should never treat and talked to the customer that kind of attitude. With this experience, be careful with this store when purchasing or look for another store.

Store had a decent, but not overwhelming selection of easy chairs / recliners. If you are looking for smaller and/or narrower recliners, you have a better selection. On sale prices are OK, but not great.sales help was fine. .. no issues....

It takes them forever to get the furniture!!! We make the decision quickly in order to have furniture earlier. We ordered bed, sofa, dining set.… they said that may take 4-6 weeks we think it's okay, then it's has been 6 weeks already but they are still not sure when can we get the furniture?? They said our dining table is back ordered and they can only do free deliver once so all our stuff is on hold. It's ridiculous, we have being sleeping on floor for a few weeks. I just ordered a very normal dinning table, if you tell me that will be this situation I won't order it then.No apologies, no reasonable estimation. If I order something online it will be quicker. BTW I ordered something from Ashley home store online, it was delivered broken. We are okay with waiting, as long as you provide us with some reasoning here? And we return something before it was shipped, they charge 10% restocking fee of the ORIGINAL price. Next time I would rather go to IKEA to get something I can use right away! So how long should I start to plan before I move in? Half year? Then I can get my furniture on time?
My husband and I were in search for a new bed today. We are so glad we went into Ashley and met RODERICK! I had done some research and had a list with me. He gave me honest info about each type of bed frame and mattress and the store manager even directed us to stores that have other mattress brands. After leaving and exploring more stores, we came back and ordered our bed and mattress from RODERICK! Roderick is an excellent salesperson who is really knowledgeable about furniture and focuses on customer service. Go see RODERICK and you will not be disappointed!
No stars warranted. Horrible experience. Purchased furniture for a new home. Repeated delivery of coffee table set damaged. Upon recovering from surgery, we selected a new set. On the delivery date, received call at 7:20am, coffee table damaged. Worked with TJ, a Manager for months. Requested a refund after third and fourth deliveries. Regarding, the recent delivery, Jim, a purported DM said to re-read the paperwork. Could not authorize a refund. Need furnishings for a weekend gathering. BUYERS BEWARE! DO NOT PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE....YOU HAVE BEEN APPROPRIATELY WARNED.

The associate who initially assisted me was super pleasant. She was honest about the different pieces of furniture and fun to work with when it came to interior design. However, it’s like pulling teeth to get them to deliver your purchased furniture. Seriously, the most disappointing experience. The dates they provided at the sale for delivery were NOT accurate or truthful. First reason why it didn’t arrive, “it’s not in stock”. Second excuse, “it’s at the warehouse but we don’t have any drivers to deliver it”. Now, “if you want it delivered any sooner you’ll need to pay an additional fee.” This store/company should not be in business. The fact that all the people who worked there seemed to hate being there didn’t help either.
Roderick was great to work with! He gave us room and time to look, helped us find the furniture we wanted. When we found a set we liked but was the wrong color he found one in the color we liked. He helped us get the best deal possible.
Two weeks ago, we visited this location in search of furniture for our new home. Roderick helped us and he was great! He spent several hours with us during to visits to the store in the same day and helped us select dining room, living room, and accent furniture that fit our budget, our likes, and our needs. He was very friendly, helpful, and listened to us! I am picky and he took that in stride--plus he helped my husband weather the furniture buying experience! If you go here, see him to help you. The store manager Raheem and the ladies working the financing/check-out are also wonderful.
I cannot stand behind this company ethics to its customer. We spent thousands of dollars investing into our home fixtures and we get treated like a buffoon! The initial sales agent promised us three week delivery for the 2 room set. Later it was changed to 4-6 weeks of getting into the warehouse, and then wait for all of the orders to come in and then call you schedule. I called weekly for update and each time it gets worse. The agents are more accommodating than the managers! Let's not go to about price negotiations because I think this is something hard for them to talk about. All I want is just my order to be delivered on time! False promises after another. Last call before I was told that it was going to be delivered week of, then I was told not all of the items are in yet. ...???? I spend over thousands of dollars here and they don't value customer relation at all. Let me quote this manager, who reprimanded me with a " (___, you need to listen,___) . I cannot honor this kind of service any more. This will be my last transaction here.

If I could give a zero I would! Firstly we waited a ridiculous amount of time for our furniture... 6 weeks and COUNTING! They've had our couches in the warehouse for over a month but won't deliver since our coffee table was out of stock. They didn't even offer to have us pay for additional delivery to get our couches which we would have! They said they have to deliver everything together since its free shipping. Mind you every time I spoke to an associate they were extremely RUDE! Finally we received our phone call that they would deliver today 10/9/17 and I took off work and got a phone call that the truck broke down and they won't be able to deliver until this Thursday. Seriously like they only have one truck. I can't even describe how frustrating this experience has been. I WILL NEVER BUY WITH ASHELY'S AGAIN!!! AND RECOMMEND THAT ALL OF YOU STEER CLEAR! They're customer service is absolutely terrible!

Roderick Williams is a very approachable and helpful sales associates. I didn't get the same vibe from the other associates who appeared to be just kind of wandering about. Haven't received my furniture yet, but hoping I'm not one of the unlucky ones like some of the reviews I've read.
Had a very bad experience on their customer service and shipping delivery service. The sales person told my wife and me that they would arrange a delivery in 3 weeks, and she insisted that they would do their best to get my order done on time. I paid 5K to them right away for my bedroom sets and living room sectional sofa sets and waited for our merchandises to be delivered to us. 3 weeks later, we called the store to ask about the status of our order, the store clerk said they didn't have everything in stock and they would not separate the order and make two deliveries. I complained about the words of the sales person who guaranteed three weeks delivery, but the clerk told me I should go and read the invoice, which stated the delivery time is 2-6 weeks, and they didn't want to admit that the words were from their sales person. Well, I waited till the 6th week approaching to its end, I called store again and left the message to the store manager about my delivery. No answer. At last I went back to the store and talked to the manager in person. I got the answer that they still didn't have every thing in stock, and they would have to split the order and make two deliveries. When they did the first delivery, the movers refused to take off their shoes and they also refused to put on shoe covers, leaving a big mess in my house in such a raining and muddy day. Furthermore, Ashley manager lied to me because the items he claimed were on back order actually delivered, but the items which were supposed to be delivered had to be shipped at second attempt. I called Ashley and the manager apologized and said he would make it up for me and make me happy because they missed the delivery deadline, unfortunately, I never got a phone call from him or his employees again and it has been two months. In conclusion, I will never go back and buy furniture from Ashley again, at least this store.
AVOID THIS STORE! If you want damaged furniture, and a very sneaky manager who is no help when there is an issue..go ahead and shop here. This has been a NIGHTMARE! Marvin initially helped me, but he & manager Rohin failed to explain A LOT regarding the warranty policy. They were nice at first but they were just desperate to make a sale, they even told me sales were down. My brand new, EXPENSIVE couch, has been DAMAGED since I got it. The manager, Rohin is extremely unprofessional and is not willing to help. He doesn't care if you are an unhappy customer, once you place your order, you mean nothing to these people. Also after you make your purchase they beg you leave a good review for them on Google...what does that say about this place? They are so awful that they have to ask for good reviews? Stay far away from Ashley Furniture...and ever farther from the Gaithersburg location!!!
I have recently been to the Ashley Furniture Home Store in Fredericksburg and was extremely well served there. The salesman was impecable and made everything possible to fullfil my demand. What I simply don´t understand though, is why is it that delivery if bought on line takes 3 daysm while if you buy it at the shop it takes 4 weeks. Why would that be? In my specific case, for this piece of furniture I don´t mind waiting, but isn´t it too much of a difference? Thanks.

They have good deals but the materials used for the furniture is literally partical board. Not quality built. I bought 2 glass haven't pieces and they didn't even have tissue paper or bubble wrap to protect my items.

Awesome experience. I had just moved to Gaithersburg and had no furniture for my apartment. Roderick helped me turn my empty space into a bachelor pad. His knowledge and expertise in furniture design helped a lot since I didn't have much. He treated me like an old friend even though we had never met, stopping me from making poor decisions something I hadn't experienced in customer service. in the end I left with a living and dining room set all while staying in budget. I'll definitely be back if I need anything else.
I'd been dreading when my husband and I would need new furniture, because opposites do attract, and they do not pick out furniture peacefully. Roderick was super helpful. He gave us space and no pressure when we initially looked around, and then helped me find compromises in our styles. Moving into a new place and we got everything we needed (and some extra fun stuff)! Roderick and Ahmed were AMAZING and SUPER helpful! Stop by the store last week and Marvin helped us, he showed us what we were looking for and guaranteed to give us the same deals we we returned to the store. We returned today and Marvin showed us more stuff we liked and had still promised us our deal. He had to leave but turned us over to Roderick, he ensured got us what we wanted for an exceptionally price. A 5pc Townsen table with chairs and a 3pc table set. They stayed 35min pass closing time to finish up order process and the items are scheduled to be delivered a week out. We defiantly will be coming back!!!! Ask for Roderick or Marvin!!!
After searching and searching I found a sectional couch at Ashley Furniture. Roderick and Raheem were great to work with. They honored my price. There was no pressure to upsell and the process was smooth and easy! I would definitely go back to them for my furniture needs.

If your furniture arrives damaged (which it most likely will), do not expect any repairs. None of the employees here are willing to help you with any issues. They will keep telling you every month that they will call you back until they decide that you yourself caused the damage because you've had the furniture for a while.
I just got home from Ashley's and was pleasantly surprised by the great service I received. Roderick was awesome - he was extremely knowledgable of the living room sets, knew my style , and made sure that I got what I needed, without going over my budget. Even when the store started getting crowded, he remembered to come back to me and see how I was doing. Thanks to him (as well as the sales manager, Rohin, who was a delight!) I walked out with a great living room sectional, and an end table, well within my budget. I will definitely come back to Ashley's for the rest of my furniture! Thank you Roderick and Rohin!

Went to Ashley Furniture in Gaithersburg with my wife to pick out a new China cabinet. Great experience and helpful staff. Roderick was our sales rep and he was great, especially when my wife couldn't make up her mind. Just ask for Roderick, he'll take care of you.
The sales staff is good but the boses have an arrogant attitude towards customers. Went to buy a king bed and was quoted $500. Went to buy the next day and was quoted $600 for the same bed. The boss's attitude was as if they are doing us a favor. Had a bad experience overall.

So in order to write this review I wanted to try the Ashley furniture in Frederick MD to see who got the best salesperson and the store manager.. let me tell you I had a horrible experience with Frederick MD store.. they are the worst.. So here's my experience with the Ashley furniture store in Gaithersburg MD. They are is and was the best experience ever. Our salesperson Rodrick and the store manager was very nice, very friendly and prompt in answering any of our questions. And they went out of their way to help us to get our furnitures delivered on the date we want. You will never be disappointed.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. Avoid at all costs!!! I bought two dining room chairs and the legs were too short on both and they won't let me return them! They said I should have have inspected them when I picked them up, but how am I supposed to know they would be faulty unless I assembled the chairs outside the store??? Completely ridiculous excuse and the store manager avoided my phone calls and never gave us call backs. Terrible store manager, terrible officer manager, terrible all around. Going to report

My husband Bill and I have been to Ashley Furniture several times. The first time we went to this location, we were greeted by Marvin, who was extremely courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. We have made numerous purchases, and each time Marvin helped us out tremendously! On one occasion, we got to the store and discovered it was his day off, but he came in to help us anyway. 5 stars all go to Marvin - we would give him 10 if we could!
We went to Ashley today in search of a few items. Our sales rep was Fatimah and she was wonderful! She was incredibly patient and spent a lot of time with us making sure we found what we liked and that we got a great deal. I would highly recommend her!
Candice Hamilton was our sales rep. She was the only rep approach us, a family of 7 with 4 children under the age of 9. She was prompt with providing answers to our questions. Candice has Exceptional customer service skills. Ask for her!
I came in to Ashley Furniture today and my experience was excellent! Carmen was my salesperson and she was very knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. I purchased a sofa, love seat, and ottoman. I highly recommend this store and Carmen. A much better experience than their competitor down the pike in Rockville.
We came to Ashley Furniture in Gaithersburg today. Everybody was so nice and helpful. Ish Verma sales consultant greeted us and was so helpful in getting the furniture we loved. Ask for Ish and he will help you with whatever you need!
After spending all of Veterans Day furniture shopping, going into 10+ furniture stores to include Marlo, wolfs, and value city furniture, I would highly recommend coming to the Ashley furniture store in Gaithersburg and asking for Roderick. He was a great salesman and was able to match online prices that were even cheaper than what the store was offering for Veterans Day.

The service at this store is extremely poor. I would highly recommend NOT making any purchases at this store. The customer service is dissatisfactory. They do not provide adequate information to customers in regards to purchases and returns.
We went in looking for a reclining sofa. The sales man said they would honor the online price which was $800 less than the store price. A great deal! We came back a couple days later and almost bought the couch. The sales lady said in order to get the online price we had to get the "optional" extended warranty which was an exta $100, which they did not say initially. Then when we input our zip code into the website to show them the price we wanted the price jumped up $300!! The sales lady went back to the manager repeatedly and he would not honor the initial price we saw online, the deal, however, got worse and worse. After haggling we left. Thank goodness we didn't fall fot their bait and switch
Prices online do NOT match the prices in-store. In the case of the sleeper sofa we were looking at, the store wanted almost three times the online price.
PLEASE DON'T GO TO THIS STORE AND GET CHEATED.
I don't know why the #1 Furniture Store in America would be charging consumers a 30% restocking fee if you change your mine 3 days before deliver. I wouldn't recommend anyone go to Ashley Furniture in America. They aren't consumer friendly. BEWARE CONSUMER THEY ARE GARBAGE
