We ordered 2 bed frames from Ashley and paid extra for the White Glove Installation. The technicians who installed the bed frames did it incorrectly (several pieces not screwed in, screws missing) and now 1 of the bed frames has broken. Dealing with service on this has been a massive headache and it's still on-going (the first service technician was unable to fix the problem). It's getting the point where I don't even want to make any more phone calls to them or send any emails. We are very unlikely to ever buy from Ashley again and will advise friends and family to avoid Ashley.
In my opinion, this Ashley store has the best furniture options compared to their competitors, but of course it depends on your style and home. We just bought a new house and needed to furnish the living and dining rooms. Yousra helped us out immensely, was very knowledgeable and patient with us. She was there when we needed her but didn't pressure us. Lots of good deals on high end items. Highly recommend this store and ask for Yousra!
Really great experience with Moe and the rest of the staff! Found a living room set really great quality and the staff was so kind, really made the experience great! We will be coming back here and talking to Moe if we need any more furniture!

I was looking for a good mattress for my parents and maybe a good backup for ourselves. The sales rep, Dayve, was very patient, methodical, and helped us find the best mattress for us for Black Friday. My wife and I can be picky shoppers and I'm very happy for the service and his expertise.

Awful service they did plenty property damage when delivering and now they you confront them they ignore you or don’t respond to your calls. Worst service I ever dealt with.

Location was very clean on my visit. The parking was a bit of a hassle. Very limited parking, but at least (as of this review) it is free. The layout of all the furniture was very nice and there was plenty of walking room. Our sales-person, Dave was AWESOME, and as a duo, Dave and Timothy were providing one of the best customer service experiences that I haven't seen in a long time. Thank you Dave and Timothy for doing everything possible to make a deal and make my wife and I feel comfortable and leave happy. Happy holidays!!
I was at Ashley Today, there is this lady there, Taicha who welcomed me, she was very patient. I hope to return there to get some furniture.

I purchased a couch from this store approximately two months ago. The delivery process was great, and everything was fine for the first couple of weeks. However, when we sit on the couch, it now starts making noises. Upon inspection, I found that the screws were not properly installed. Many of them were loose, and some were damaged, making it impossible to tighten them. While the overall quality of the couch is fine, this issue has made it uncomfortable to use.
I have been to your shopping center 3 times and I got excellent service especially one of your associate Taicha and I want to thank her very much .because of your excellent service I will come again and I will refer my friends too .

I bought a dresser from here and was very disappointed. The dresser is unnecessarily heavy. The drawers don't slide as smoothly as they should. There is wasted space - the frame is notably larger than the internal storage. The drawers don't fully close. The top isn't level or smooth. The delivery went badly - they didn't give advanced notice, they just showed up, which didn't work because I do not work from home. They also forgot to deliver several pieces, and after a month Ashley has not managed to fix this. I would advise against buying anything from Ashley, they have poor quality furniture and bad customer service.
I had a wonderful experience with Ashley Furniture at Assembly Row. Andre, the young man who assisted me was extremely helpful and attentive. All in all, it was a great experience from when I walked into the store, right up until my new leather sofa and loveseat were delivered. The set is amazing!
I saw this store on Facebook marketplace. I had sent a message inquiring about a dining room set, Nick was so helpful and responded so quickly. I decided to go to the store in person and I have to say Nick and Tamah were amazing. They went above and beyond for any sales person have ever met. They were so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them both. I live about an hour away from the store but they made the trip with it.
It's been absolute nightmare with customer service. We received a chest and a dresser and both were damaged. We took pictures and contacted them immediately. It's been 6 weeks with no resolution or replacement. Was on hold today for 45 minutes, transferred 3 times, and finally had to hang up. Would not buy from them again

Con Artists and bad Service. :-( At first being a new customer they will pull out the Red Carpet until a problem happens after the purchase. I purchased a dining table on my AMEX card. The table seemed ok until I placed a placemat on the table the surface of the table came off on my Crate and Barrel placemat.
Delivery drivers were dreading bringing up my furniture and I had to refuse delivery because otherwise they would leave it outside. I was told they couldn’t help me until the furniture made it to the warehouse and once it did I called and they said I couldn’t do anything unless I went to the store which is an hour and a half from me. I financed what I purchased so now I have to make monthly payments for furniture that I dont even have until I can make time to go to the store, and I work, go to school and have a child, so that has been very difficult. They are not helpful at all.

Stunning showroom for different levels of furnitures. Helpful and understanding staff. The furniture as well as the services are updated and advancing. I had great amazing experience like ten years ago when I bought a bedroom, a sofa and a recliner in addition to a dining table with four chairs all of which are still in good condition. In fact my purchase was from Ashley store in Baltimore, Maryland.
I recently had a very frustrating experience with Ashley Furniture that I feel compelled to share. Initially, I visited the store hoping to find better pricing, but the in-store offers were the same as what I found online. I decided to make my purchase online on October 14, signing up for a $50 email discount. Unfortunately, the email took so long to arrive that I ended up completing my purchase without the discount. The next day, I received a call from the Somerville, MA location about a special promotion on October 16, which included no tax and free delivery. I asked if I could cancel my online order to take advantage of this offer, and they assured me I could cancel and that they would honor the price I had received in-store (I even have a photo of the quote). However, when I tried to cancel online, I encountered errors, so I called customer service. The representative was friendly but informed me that he needed to call another number to process the cancellation. Unfortunately, that number was closed for the day, and I was advised to wait until the next day. He did provide the number in case I wanted to call myself, but I found the situation very frustrating. It felt like a foreign call center, and I couldn’t help but feel let down by the company. The next morning, I called the provided number only to find out that my cancellation request hadn’t been received. They said they would process it, but once I received an email, I would need to call another number to request my refund. When I reached out to the Somerville store again, they claimed the promotion was only valid in-store. After a lengthy and frustrating call lasting over 80 minutes, I learned that they could only honor one of the prices—the original quote or the current promotion—despite my earlier assurances. At one point, they even hung up on me, though I remained patient throughout the conversation. We all work hard for our money, and I did my research to find quality and price, trying to take advantage of sales and promotions. Buying a dining set is not an everyday purchase, and now I’m left with no furniture and over $2,000 charged to my credit card, plus the added stress of needing to call again for my refund. This experience has been a nightmare, and I sincerely hope Ashley Furniture can improve their customer service and communication in the future.

He went above and beyond to show us a demo of the stain resistant fabric and helped rearrange the sectional to allow us to visualize potential arrangements. Do not recommend ordering from here for several reasons. Number one being the customer service, unreliable delivery timing. Poor professionalism and no communication regarding delivery status. You have to call them multiple times to get a delivery time. Every time they promise a callback with details which does not happen. Delivery times are well over 10 weeks with no guarantee even after.

I will never recommend this place to anyone trying to buy a mattress. I was told 4 different answers as to how returns or exchanges work. At the register buying the mattress, I was told in order to be able to return, I would need to purchase the warranty and mattress protector. I was lied to about returns in order to further sell me things. After speaking to customer service and multiple store managers, I was told yes you can return if it's within 3 days. Then I was told actually no you can't because its a mattress and not furniture. Then I was told you can't exchange because it's not over $1000 for the mattress and that the entire transaction being $1500 doesn't matter. At one attempt to get assistance, I was told their warehouse would pick it up then never contacted again about it. Then when I called back I got told no again. This is the worst experience I think I've had with a store. I don't even want my money back. I just wanted to buy a different mattress but they basically told me tough luck moron. Thanks for the money. If that $400 difference between the mattress I got and the one I want is worth me going out of my way to recommend people NEVER shop here, then okay. Keep my money I guess.
NEVER order or buy anything from here. Came in BROKEN and 6 MONTHS later the company still has not tried to resolve the issue and or fix the problem. Don’t waste your money or time since they won’t fix anything that they deliver broken. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME THEY DELIVER BROKEN FURNITURE THEN DONT ANSWER OR REFUSE TO FIX!!!!!

Look at the screenshot. They charged me 3 times. And I HAVE TO go back to the store to get the refund because of THEIR ERROR. They also did not mention reimbursing my traveling fee of this extra trip (at least when I called them). This is SUPER FRUSTRATING. How can any store make such a mistake?? HOW COULD THEY NOT REFUND IF I DON'T GO INTO THE STORE? I HAVE A FLIGHT TO CATCH. So they will hold my money because of their mistake. Wow. Ashley. Avoid it!!!!

Worst place to buy something, my husband and I bought a kitchen set. The table arrived scratched and the chair was defective.
We were in trouble. New apartment. No furniture… and a toddler. With no time to wait for delivery and assembly… Dayve handled our situation and showed us the best and quickest options. He handled our entire experience from A-Z with such care that we felt that we became friends by the end of the shopping experience. He was great and made sure we had just what we need. I've had a terrible experience with getting my touch delivered. They told me they would deliver the couch July 13 between 12-4. At 1:30 I received a text stating they were 30 minutes away. At 3:40 I called the number for the delivery service. They claimed that they came and there was "no space". No one called me. There was no communication what so ever. I am frustrated and annoyed. Now we have to wait for our furniture even longer. We got rid of our couch a while and we're excited to finally receive a new one. I am frustrated by the lack of communication and unprofessionalism. I will not be shopping at Ashley ever again.

The district manager Jeff is rude and has no customer service and people skills. He lied despite multiple store managers confirming that I paid for a new item but was given display furniture. All I wanted to do was return a display item that I did not purchase but because the item was in my home longer than 72 hours ( which if store employees called mw back like said they would, the item could've been brought back next day). It is disheartening because I genuinely love Ashley's furniture and I have purchased furniture from the NH location in the past. Also a few of store managers and employees that I met at this location had great customer service but the district manager and individuals I had to deal with over the phone were terrible and I will never be purchasing from Ashley's again. I truly feel bad for the staff that have to work with the district manager. You can tell they try to do good business but that's not carried over with management. The new furniture store Raymour & Flanigan, that just opened in the plaza was great to work with.
Do not order from Ashley Furniture. Go ANYWHERE else. I ordered an entire bedroom set from the Somerville store. After waiting 3 months for the furniture, the delivery was scheduled but was incomplete. They forgot to order and assemble one half of my king bed frame. They set up the bed frame and put my mattress on the half assembled frame. However since half the bed was missing support, the mattress was draped over the wood rendering it completely unusable. I spoke to the delivery men on the phone and they told me they could come whenever to fix it. I am unable to sleep on my bed. This is my 5th day calling in a row. I have tried to speak to someone but no one with the authority to schedule pick-up has called me back. At this point I just want the furniture gone. I will never shop there again.
O bought a table on 05/29/24, until today July 5 I did not received yet, I fell frustrated, this is disrespectful. I mention many time I needed by July 4, on July 3. They say they will delivery. And never show up. Don’t by from this store. Today is July 10 2024. They said the delivery will be today you know what happened they say the truck is broke they can’t deliver today again.

The worst customer service experience I have ever received. I contacted them a month and a half ago to fix my sofa that has damage and is under warranty. Have been following up with them on their customer service number and in-store with ZERO help! All I get is we have sent an email and they will reach out to you in 48 hours. Got the same reply on every single one of the 6-7 calls I made and haven’t received a single callback. We are moving cross country in a week and have been requesting them to resolve the issue. The response I got from the store was that we wouldn’t be able to service you once you move and we cannot take a call on repair/replacement since we are a franchise. Never buying from them again!
This family-owned Ashley outlet is one of the friendliest and most helpful furniture store we have been. Our salesman was Anthony and he was able to get us the best for our money. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who is shopping for their furniture. Great collection.

The in store customer service is great, knowledgeable and helpful, but that’s where my compliments end. The love seat I bought is attractive but not comfortable, and the phone customer service is a NIGHTMARE. The answer to any question is that I have to physically go to the store to figure it out. They also forgot (until I called two months later and asked for the status) to submit a claim for the delivery drivers who scratched up my doorframe. Worst of all: I returned a $600 item, hoping to exchange it for another option I found online. But apparently (even though, again, I had to physically go to the store to find this out!) the credits were for store purchases only, and because the item I wanted was online only, I now have to buy it somewhere else. I got another small item for store credit, but I’m still out $500. I don’t recommend this shopping experience to anyone.

The salesman by the Luckenson and the manager Dereck at Ashley Somerville location was the worst dishonest person I ever met in my life . I brought a bedroom sets from them, The foundation of the bed is flammable no box flames needed. However, these two guys chitchat while I was looking around the store, they sent me a bed with no foundation that is required frame box. I returned the merchandise to them, they did not even offer a solution to what happened, neither an apology. Now I’m fighting for refund to get back to my bank account I’m warning you avoid these two guys from that store they are not trustworthy.
Ordered what should have been a brand new couch from this location and they sent us this damaged couch. Customer service has been ignoring our calls for two weeks now and no one has followed up to our claim. How can you just expect people to dish out hundreds of dollars for damaged furniture? Still no response. You sent a defective replacement. Your technician pointed out the couch is defective and he found another tear that was covered up. They sent a replacement couch that was also damaged. This place is cheap. Refused delivery and want a refund.

Ordered a 3 piece bed set that came with the wrong parts so now I have to go without a bed for 5 days until the correct parts arrive. Very frustrating to sleep on a mattress for nearly a week.
I love my sleeper couch, however my 6 years old daughter needed to use the bathroom and they didn’t let her, they just said bathroom wasn’t for public ??? That was not nice.

Stay clear of the junk they sell. 1900 for a couch that is falling apart after 8 or 9 months. No response from their service dept after 20 days. They told us 7-10 must be backlogged with stuff falling apart.

Update - The customer service was excellent and the chair felt comfortable enough in the store however I can't give praise for actual use. While I enjoy the wide seat and leather (in places) finish and smooth reclining, the so called massage feature is junk. A hard metal bar across the back of recliner is very uncomfortable. Ashley manufacturer's and their customers would be better served by removing the roller massage unit altogether and overstuffing with the microfiber material used elsewhere in the chair for a truly comfortable seat. So disappointed. Note: I didn't buy this for the massage feature... I thought I had finally found my big and tall chair. Not

This store is so nice in the store to your face. They mess up the paperwork. Put our number in backwards so the delivery person couldn't call us. The only way to change it is though the store!! The one with the awful customer service. You call and start talking to them they put you on hold without telling you so you think someone is still listening. They want your money so are nice until purchase but beyond that customer service is abysmal. Got a new chair over a month ago. They had everything in stock but the footrest. The footrest arrived without parts. The one thing they had a whole month to do and they couldn't do it. Now we have to wait another month for the foot rest to be together. We also can't have our number fixed because of said customer service needing to be done by the store that won't stay on the phone. So trying to get a crew out here for said service is hard Because the customer service for Ashley has to keep putting it in the notes because they can't fix our account. It has to be the store to fix it. Edited to add: we couldn't get them to schedule an appointment for their delivery person to come back out to add the legs on. It was damaging the seat. This locations customer service was a nightmare to deal with. I don't recommend anyone use it until they do a overhaul of staffing. It could be that they're not paying their employees a living wage but the customer doesn't deserve to suffer for it. We had to pay someone to come over and install the legs on the ottoman ourselves. The only thing the store needed to order the ottoman because the chair was in stock. They couldn't even handle that. Like I said they seem nice but once you get your money good luck getting the merchandise. Be ready for parts to be missing and for them to be completely apathetic. They wouldn't even fix my phone number so we could get the calls from the delivery people.

Ashleys is great however, NEVER EVER use Synchrony bank on their promotions.. they run promos for 6 month interest free without mentioning this only applies if you pay the full balance within 6 months.. not only your monthly payments.. this tiny detail should be called out by Ashley when offering this promo.. since synchrony will charge retroactive interest at 29.99%APR! and they are the sketchiest with email reminders/notifications so you won;t have a clue until you actually login to their portal... I should have been more aware of synchrony.. but they truly are the worst bank with predatory practices so either avoid them or make sure you are extra clear with the terms Ashley provides w Synchrony..

We were looking for a sofa and he gave us multiple options based on what out interests were and provided us with multiple arrangements options available for each and was patient with us. *Edit Review: While he above was true, the whole process of acquiring the sofa was terrible. The sofa came in with a different color and one section was damaged completely. While this is not their fault, we had never once received an apology for the inconvenience. We had also never properly been communicated how long the shipment would be coming in. Please be sure you get proper service or at least be prepared if you don't so you aren't surprised

Terrible Experience with Ashley's Store in Somerville City, MA I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the Ashley store in Somerville, MA, and I can confidently say that it was one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. I ordered a TV stand from them, and what I received was nothing short of a nightmare. First and foremost, the TV stand arrived in a completely damaged condition. It looked like it had been through a war zone before it made its way to my doorstep. The packaging was in shambles, and it was obvious that the item had been mishandled during transit. This was clearly not my fault, but that's where the problems began. I immediately contacted Ashley's customer service, which was an absolute exercise in frustration. I tried calling multiple times, only to be placed on hold for what seemed like an eternity. When I finally got through to a representative, they were unhelpful and rude, to say the least. It felt like they were doing everything in their power to avoid taking responsibility for the damaged product they had sent me. I also sent multiple emails to Ashley, hoping for a more responsive and considerate approach. However, my emails seemed to vanish into a black hole, as I never received a single response. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for this store. To make matters even worse, I had to endure the hassle of trying to schedule a return or exchange, which turned out to be an uphill battle. They continually promised to send someone to collect the damaged item and replace it, but it never happened. The TV stand, which I had paid a significant amount of money for, has now become an eyesore in my living room. All in all, my experience with the Ashley store in Somerville, MA, has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their complete disregard for customer satisfaction, along with their terrible customer service and unwillingness to rectify their mistake, has left me not only frustrated but also out of pocket and stuck with a damaged piece of furniture. I strongly advise anyone considering shopping at this store to think twice and explore other options, as Ashley's lack of responsibility and respect for its customers is absolutely deplorable. The customer service was great until I needed help with a damamged product, then I was ignoed by my sales person Joshua Gomez and the warehouse. I was hung up on by Joshua and my phone calls to the store went unanswered and after being told the warehouse would have to contact me regarding repairs, at this time, I still have not heard from anyone.

We made the mistake of ordering The Langford bed from Ashleys. We paid for white glove delivery but the delivery guys who showed up damaged the staircase and wall while bringing it upstairs. The bed broke within a couple days. It was being held up by such a flimsy piece of wood. Its been over 2 months and they still haven't even shipped the replacement part, let alone install it. Ashley's customer service is terrible. Truly the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Do not make the mistake of buying furniture from here.
I bought a sofa, the day they came to deliver it, the store ordered the parts for the sofa wrong, I had to keep 3 parts of the sofa in my living room as I had been without a sofa for 2 weeks, until I waited for them to deliver the right parts to me, no one called me, no one gave me any information, I waited 1 week and called them and then they told me that I would have to wait 2 MONTHS for the right parts to arrive, and I said that I wanted to make a return or exchange it for another sofa that they would have in stock, they kept calling me several times and they never called me, I always had to call them back. I would not recommend buying from Ashley’s if you want proper service. I ordered a dresser in mid August. The sales rep that helped me with the order said it would take 2-3 weeks to deliver. The dresser took over 6 weeks to arrive. When I was waiting I texted the sales rep and he said that “this was the busiest time for furniture” and for that reason there was a delay. That got me very upset because he never told me that when I was making the purchase. He even bragged about always getting the delivery estimate right. I told him when I was making the purchase that I needed something fast. I had anther dresser I liked more at another store but I didn’t buy it because it would take 5 weeks to arrive (it was out of stock). The delivery with Ashley took longer than that which was very upsetting since I settled for something I liked less. Once the dresser arrived it didn’t come properly assembled. I didn’t notice when they delivered it because they came and went so fast. The dresser was pre assembled. They just dropped it off and ran. They didn’t give me a chance to check to see if everything was ok. One of the drawer rails didn’t come screwed so one of the drawers is not connected. I called them back and they put in a service order. It’ll take them 7-10 days to contact me to schedule a repair appointment. By that time it’ll be almost 8 weeks that I put in the order. I couldn’t be more upset. This whole process was terrible and I would not recommend this store. I really hope they actually come and fix my dresser because I paid for insurance. New update: They delivered me a new dresser. Again, I put in the order on August 15. It first got delivered on October 3rd. And now it was redelivered on November 14. It basically took 3 months. The dresser is not 100%, but I can’t wait another month for them to redeliver. The delivery guys (on November 14) went to the wrong address. They almost didn’t deliver my dresser. But then I insisted they put in the address wrong into the gps because the other delivery guys had no trouble finding my place last time. Turns out that they really did put the wrong address in and they tried blaming me. Like, how is it my fault? Anyways, it came with a dent on it and the drawers aren’t perfectly aligned, but I can’t wait no longer. When they were moving the old dresser out it completely came apart. I honestly wish I had never bought from Ashley’s. If I had just waited a little for the dresser on the other store none of this would have happened, and I would have had a beautiful good quality dresser two months ago. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHELY’S!!!!!

I recently purchased furniture from Ashley Furniture, and I must say it was a truly regrettable experience. From the start. , the entire process was riddled with issues. The customer service was abysmal. When I contacted Ashley Furniture to report the issues, their response was slow and unhelpful. It took an unreasonable amount of time to reach a representative, and when I finally did, they seemed disinterested and provided no satisfactory solution. It felt like they simply wanted to brush off my concerns and move on to the next. The staff at the Somerville store will Lie and make up story’s jus to get you to purchase. To make matters worse, Ashley Furniture's return policy is highly restrictive. Despite the evident flaws in the furniture, I was met with resistance when attempting to initiate a return. They insisted on charging exorbitant fees and subjected me to unnecessary hurdles, making it nearly impossible to get a refund or exchange. Made the process so fast it was scary. Came back dealt with Mercedes who also has no clue, and this is after I got measurements and did my homework. Then that couch didn't fit. It's been over 2 months+ and the store has my money and I have no couch and also my credit line is not correct from the second couch being returned. This location is the worst. One salesman that helped me over the phone was the most helpful. He didn't even sell me anything but he informed me that my couch was at the warehouse and ready to set a date for delivery. However, when it came down to purchasing the item the woman that helped to finish the sale was rude and had horrible customer service. When I received the total through one of their financing program the total was three times higher than the listed price. When the other salesman tried to explain why she got up and said don’t talk sales information in front of her and she got up and angrily walked away. And then when she came back she was complaining to her coworkers the whole time instead of taking care of me. I was very confused and instead of trying to help she snapped and behaved as if I should already know the answer. The whole vibe was unsettling to the point where I left the store without purchasing the couch that I was sold on and wanted to buy without the financing program. 2 issues took place 1) they delivered the wrong thing and 2) the couch didn't fit. 1) Delivered the wrong thing: Called once from the factory or something just to tell us that the store filled out the form wrong and that the store would contact us. After the store never did, we called them and they just said, "ooh yeah the headboard you requested is not compatible with the storage base so there is nothing we can do, we can take it back or you can keep it as is" when I asked for them to do something to compensate for the mistake the woman treated me as if i was asking for something absurd. 2) the couch didn't fit: they did not informed us of door width restriction of part of the furniture delivered so we waited over a month for it to not fit and now we need to go to the store to get our money back. So we have no couch and they still have our money. Also we had to call to get this resolved because the sore never called. They have also said more than once that they won't return the shipment cost for a mistake from their sales representative and the woman said "well the sales representative hasn't been in your home." Yeah a delivery restriction should be informed, and yeah that is just a ridiculous statement. Also a handle need repair since delivery and we have been told twice that they will put a repair request and i am willing to bet money that it will never be repaired. Good luck if you buy from here. They are not worth it.

He refused. He showed me 2 other sofas on his truck he "had to" take back because it didnt fit going into the places he was delivering to. We go back to Ashley. They charge us a 20 percent restocking fee on top of still charging the delivery cost. Manager refused to speak with us had us in the store for hours trying to work something out. Still needing a sofa we settled for a trashy smaller sectional. After visiting a competitor furniture store we got a sofa similar in size to the original sofa we tried to buy at Ashley. Way better quality at a slightly lower price. We immediately canceled the Ashley delivery and order. We were asked to come into the store to as they needed the original credit card. So we went in to get our refund. The manager refused to refund our money claiming by settling for the second garbage sofa, we turned our purchase into a store credit leaving us out of over $1000. Manager refused anymore assistance in the matter. We will have to sue to get our money back. Scam delivery system. Horrible customer service. Do yourself a favor. STAY AWAY.

I have been searching for several bedroom, kitchen, and living room pieces to furnish my new condo, and Nick Rose at Ashley Furniture hands down provided the best customer service of any store - and I’ve been shopping for a few months at small and big name stores like Jordan’s and B&Ps. Nick was super personable and really sat down to explain and answer every question I had regarding the various pieces I was looking for as well as financing options to make my purchase a possibility. But he did so without being too pushy, which requires striking a healthy balance between selling and being helpful to the customer. Matt also helped in affirming some detailed questions and made me feel at ease about making a large purchase to furnish an entire condo. I’d absolutely recommend Ashley Furniture and Nick to all my family and friends.

The store is lovely and new and the staff is helpful. Ashley furniture is wholly unhelpful if you aren’t satisfied with the purchase. Within 2 weeks I reached out and them know that I believe I received a defective item, hoping they would make it right. Each side of the couch is sinking and one side makes noises as though it’s years old. They told me I had to complain about quality within 72 hours and after that “They are non refundable and non returnable”. I don’t know how you can know quality within that time. They said they could send someone in a month to come and do a home inspection. I just want to wash my hands of this. I did not expect perfection but i hoped this sofa would be a good purchase for a few years and a nice upgrade from the sofa I got at Homegoods for 1/3 of the price. I still love the look, but I will not be recommending Ashley Furniture to anyone due to the aftercare support after purchasing.

Worst customer service ever! Do yourself a favor and purchase the same furniture and better customer service at Bernie & Phyl's. I purchased furniture 6 weeks ago and was promised it would arrive in 2 weeks, then promised it would be directly delivered to my house because of my inconvenience and now the guy who promised me all of these things is no longer with the company and the general manager at this location has 0 insight on how to resolve this issue, aside from, "well your stuff is at the store." Absolute waist of time and money. I would have paid extra now to work with another company. Never again.

Wanted to buy bedroom set. Salesperson got interrupted 2x by fellow worker while he was putting in my order on computer. Needless to say, set was delivered a few weeks later & bedframe , footboard were wrong but delivery company took headboard back leaving the rest of the parts laying on my bedroom floor. Had to cancel my mattress delivery & now sleeping on airmattress that I had to purchase for $200 . I had to drive to Ashley furniture location 3(32 days in a row) towns over because they don't answer phone being shorthanded) After speaking to mgr on duty I was told Ashley floorperson typed in wrong serial number on invoice for part of set ...so now I have NO bed just the frame & slats they left on my floor & took back the headboard that was the right one.Nobody at store even apologized & I haven't heard from them & they still don't answer the phone there. So I have no bed just a bureau & 2 nitestands... in a 1BR apt...had to cancel evening holiday gathering because had to move other furniture livin/ dining area...friggn NITEMARE..so I would rate my experience as HORRIBLE, especially being my 1st new BR set in my life ...

Bought a coffe table and was told it would be delivered in a week and to call before to make sure it arrived. When i called the store, no one picks up and it just hangs up on you. After multiple numbers being called i finally found someone that said the order would not make it in time because the financing was not done within 14 days. No idea what that means, i paid with a credit card. they they say i cant cancel via the phone, i would need to go in person to cancel. What an absolute train wreck of a company and support. STAY AWAY from this trash company. i wish i could give out zero stars.

Furniture is great but they said it would take 8-12 weeks when really it be like 8-12 MONTHS! I had to keep calling them to remind them that I actually placed an order so I had to wait 3 months to get my furniture delivered and it would all be over….SURPRISE! I had to wait another 4 months just for a night stand! Oh and they told me I had to go and pick that up so it was a huge inconvenience..I’d recommend going here if you have a time machine set to 4X the promised wait time they promise you!

I bought a table set on November 20, they said they would deliver on the 29, got a call from on the delivery day saying that the table was damage and they order a new for December 8!! They don’t care at all about customer service! Never buying anything here ever again!

Ashley at Assembly Row has a great selection of furniture and it's worth the trip. They have a big showroom where you can see the quality of their products up close and try it. As far as know, Ashley offered the best prices and their Sales Associates were knowledgeable and willing to help me find what I was looking for. If you don’t find what you’re looking for specifically, there is a large screen where you can search for their inventory, this was really helpful in our case. Last but not least, their prices were the best I’ve seen compared to Wayfair, Jordan’s, Bob’s and others." You need to compare same quality furniture.
Service/Delivery scheduling and coordination team exhibiting little common sense/communication skills. Ordered mattress, bed frame (rails), headboard back in late August. Received calls periodically through the months claiming the order was ready seemingly once a month. (part of the mixup was because it was done on two sales slips so maybe don't do it that way??) In reality the entire order wasn’t ready. Finally delivered today and two pieces of a bed set up was missing - the mattress being one. Still weeks away. Happy to take down review if needs are met and something is done to amend. Skipped work for a waste of time.

We were in Boston to visit our daughter. Her and her roommate needed a sofa for their apartment. They found one at this store. My husband and I found a bedroom set we loved. We told them at least two dozen times they would need to arrange to deliver to New Jersey. It even says NJ on the receipt as the delivery address. A week after the purchased I called them to follow up and they said the items were being delivered from the New Hampshire warehouse! When I explained that would be an overnight drive they panicked. I asked them for a call back and they did not call back. The next day my husband called to have them refund the purchase to my credit card. They said that we had to be in the store card in hand to do a refund! When I called back to confirm this and get an email address so I could confirm this in writing and then dispute the charge they put me on hold for a half hour and then I started to write this review. Susan the store manager lied to us about this policy. The return policy is clearly stated on the receipt. Considering that they are refusing to deliver the furniture I think that issuing a refund is reasonable. Ashley is a national chain. There is no reason why I have to fight with one store to get a refund to try to buy the exact same product from a local store.
My boyfriend and I have been looking for a sectional for a few weeks now that has a recliner and a chaise lounge- very hard to come by because it’s been very difficult finding one. After reccomendations from friends and coworkers we decided to check out Ashley’s. Mon was BEYOND amazing. He truly went above and beyond to help us find exactly what we wanted. He is a true treasure and an amazing sales person!! I would go back just to buy things from Mon haha! Thank you Mon for your help :).

Their showroom allows me to see the quality of the furniture and envision it in my house which is huge. Buying online simply does not offer the same experience. I needed a replacement mattress after purchasing a hybrid mattress online that was too soft, and did not live up to the hype. Ashley offered the best prices and their Sales Associates were knowledgeable and willing to help. Customer service in store is not bad but god forbid you have to call them for anything. April, from customer service is the worst. If she is in a bad mood, she will talk over you and not listen to you, put you on hold without telling you (leaving you to wonder if the line is disconnected) and provide different information every time you call. I simply suggested she makes me aware when she puts me on hold so that I am not just talking to myself and her response was “ I don’t get paid for you to be rude”. Left me wondering why she has a job in customer service at all. Mercedes, another customer service person, is much better to deal with and doesn’t provide mediocre customer service. Overall, would not shop here again based on the rude, inconsistent service.
We were looking for the right mattress and both Matteo and Craig were extremely helpful. They helped us choose the right mattress. They went above and beyond to ensure we got what we needed in a timely manner. Thank you Matteo and Craig.

My family went to their grand opening and had a great time. Our salesperson Joshua gave us amazing service, walked us through the entire store as well as guided us through their kiosk. It was definitely the most memorable furniture shopping experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend visiting their store and asking for Joshua!
Craig is the chief. He’s from the south and knows hospitality! Very personable, and really cares about people- more than just making a sale. The furniture here is also the most reasonably priced in the area, though you may be waiting several weeks before the estimated arrival. The only reason I rate 3 instead of 5 stars is because I felt quite uncomfortable when sales staff would interject themselves immediately as people would walk through the door. This is understandable to an extent, as I understand they are paid commission, though many of the floor sales were relentless and didn’t give customers a break to look on their own- even after Craig had started helping us, we had at least 5 other salespeople approach us. It just became overwhelming and annoying.
This one star is for Craig, the saler that helped us buying a couch, and who really did a wonderful job helping us and going the extra mile to make sure that we would be satisfied with our new furniture. Now: when we wondered about the delivery fee being 120$ for a couch that is still in Pennsylvania and that we won’t received until the 10th of November, and when we asked Craig if a gesture on that fee could be possible, he agreed with one manager, then asked another one. Let me tell you about that manager. He basically yelled at him that if we want to save money that bad, we should go and get the couch directly at the warehouse in New Hampshire, so loudly that we heard him across the store. Craig came back apologizing, but I decided that behavior wouldn’t pass and confronted the manager, Niko. He barely apologized, saying “I wasn’t really yelling”, “I wasn’t yelling at you”, making all kind of excuses for himself. We finalized the sale with Craig and left with Niko serving us a fake smile. So we basically spent 1000 bucks to get yelled at that we were too cheap for him. That man should not be managing a store if he doesn’t understand respect and costumer service, mocking them and yelling across the store. That is an unprofessional behavior, but most importantly, is a very bad look for the store and the company. Thanks again Craig for your help, you really went above and beyond for us.
Ashley Home Furniture has some great furniture, however, the customer service is THE WORST. What makes it the worst, you ask? It's their delivery people. They are unprofessional. Had delivery people come to put together my bed with mattress, frame, and foundation and they REFUSED to put it together. Said "don't have the right screws" and left. Come to find out, it wasn't wrong screws, they just didn't want to put together the frame and foundation. I called someone all day with promises of getting updates etc. only to have to continuously call Ashley for updates. No solutions have been given at this time. NEVER buy furniture from this company. They don't care about you after they make the sale. They don't want to follow up on what they promise (purchase, delivery, and installation). And they sure as heck won't help solve your issues.

My partner and I walked into Ashley Furniture just to have a look around, and next thing we knew, we walked out with the exact couch we had in mind. Maun was an amazing sales rep - he helped us pick out exactly what we wanted while staying within our budget. Best of all, he was extremely personable and down to earth. Definitely ask for him when you go in!

I would rate zero star if I could. Before going to this store, I visited another Ashley branch, and I realized that first brach had much cheaper prices for exact same items. Luckily I had pictures taken from the first store. When I showed them the pictures, they agreed to match their prices. I spent about two hours to find my favorite tables and sofa. When we were ready to discuss prices, they refused to match their prices and denied the whole thing. Instead of telling me the total price, they were trying to fool me by showing monthly payments if I did financing for x number of years ... and wasted two hours of my time.
I visited the store during the pre-September 1st move in rush, and was assisted by Greg. Greg was extremely helpful, friendly, and honest in helping me select a sofa for my place! Working with him made the tough choice of which piece of furniture fun and super easy. I was happy to receive an email just days later letting me know that my sofa is expected to arrive very soon. Thank you Greg and the Ashley team!

You're straight up interrogated then followed around the second you enter this store by a rep who writes down your info. It was pretty uncomfortable for me & my husband you cannot just enter this store & browse without someone breathing down your neck.

This place is so trash, ordered 5 months ago still didn’t receive anything went back to get my refund and didn’t wanna give it back cash to me when I literally payed in cash. Now it’s been 3 weeks and still haven’t gotten the “check” refund. Place is horrible should be shut down. Waste of space in assembly

Ordered a coffee table online. Within a few months it started to peel in different areas. Contacted customer services, who directed me to the protection plan I purchased. They were worse. Did nothing to help and stopped responding to my emails. This was in January of this year. Never again Ashley Furniture
My sales associate Chris was the BEST and made my shopping experience at Ashley wonderful! He helped me find an amazing couch and TV stand for my first home. Chris was so attentive, knowledgeable, responsive, and truly listened to what I was looking for. He pointed me in the direction of some amazing items and I’m so happy he helped me along the way. Excellent does not seem adequate to describe the standard of the service that was extended. Time was my number one priority and they made it theirs as well. This was done today when Niko joined Maria on the shop floor to make early delivery possible . It is rare to see a General Manager roll his sleeves up and humbly and willingly walk the walk and serve on the shop floor. Fantastic Store and Team!

Good selection but very poor experience with our sales rep. Expectations were set that the vast majority of furniture was being delivered in just a couple weeks, but then when we called to check in 3 weeks later they said it would be another 3 weeks and that what we were told originally was wrong. Very bad business. We would have bought from somewhere else if we knew that up front.
I have never left a review for any company but feel compelled after having quite literally the worst experience with Ashley customer service. I ordered a sectional from Ashley over two months ago and at first, had a wonderful buying experience. Ashley had just opened, the sales team was great, and I was excited to become a customer. Fast forward a month later when my sectional was delivered - half of it came damaged. The third party delivery team took back the half that was damaged and I was told a new piece would come. I waited a few more weeks for the new piece, and when it arrived, it was the exact same damaged piece that had been delivered previously. At that point I called Ashley asking for a full refund, and for them to have the delivery service come pick up the half of a sectional that had been left sitting in my living room. It has now been over three weeks trying to get this piece returned so I can get a refund, all the while having a useless half of a sectional taking up space in my home. I have called the store at least 10+ times at this point without a decent, helpful response. I'm honestly not sure if there is an end in sight to this saga, but I am an incredibly patient person when it comes to the retail industry - this is another level. Avoid Ashley Furniture if you can help it.

Today I came into Ashley’s as my first time ever shopping for furniture and it was not as easy as some may think. I walked in with my boyfriend and instantly was greeted with such kindness by an employee and that was Chris, very amazing I had the best experience. He helped me find what I wanted and more. I recommend this location plus don’t forget to ask for chris at the front, you won’t regret it.

We got a great deal on our couch that was better than the online price Update: we received our couch, but it didn't include the $430 ottoman that was part of the in store deal. Reached out to Ashley and they said they could give use $100 off instead. So not a great deal.. sort of a scam.

The employees at this location are very nice, and our buying experience was great, however, it was a nightmare from there. My daughter purchased a bedroom set and we were told that they come in, set up and remove the old furniture. That was further from the truth. The barbarians that came left trash on my front porch, upon removing the box spring, they pushed open my bedroom door while I was changing for work and pushed the box spring in my room. They informed us that they did not take the old furniture and that we were lied to. We told them to take the furniture out and they told us to call the store and left. We called the store who directed us to customer service who directed us to corporate who directed us to the distribution center. We got fed up and went to the store to tell them of our experience and that we didn't want the furniture. They told us the manager that sold us the items was fired and shouldn't have told us that. They also said that this is what happens when Ashley hires third party companies. As of this morning and 5 calls later they are coming to get the furniture next week. This is the worst experience I have ever had with purchasing furniture. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs!!
My husband and I have been looking for a sofa and love seat for awhile and figured we would check out the new Ashley store. We immediately found the set we ordered and the salesman was very helpful. The delivery went well and the delivery men were very polite. Very good experience all around . Would recommend Ashley to everyone if looking for furniture.
The employees and the manager at this location were fantastic, however, one table came in scratched and we didn’t notice till after the delivery team left. I’m giving 5 stars because i know this is not the location workers and manager fault and they have nothing to deal with the delivery people. I hope Ashley can help me with this issue
Originally my experience was great, I spent about $5000 in a week there and planned on spending more… until I seen they double charged my credit card. I understand mistakes happen, but I also expect a resolution. Called the card company and they explained this store needed to cancel. I called and spoke with someone who seen the double charge, assured me it would be taken care of, two months later and two additional phone calls and it still isn’t resolved. On top of this they tell everyone 6-10 weeks for delivery and you soon find out it is far more than that, and make you pay extra to deliver the items they have in stock rather than waiting, so of course you wait. (My estimate was the beginning of July now it’s the end of august to the beginning of September) Besides messing up on my charge, not fixing it, messing up on my profile somehow, making me wait significantly longer than initially promised (I get it, things are hard to get, but don’t assure someone something if you can’t deliver), and just avoiding this situation I am really about to cancel my order and go else where and also write to corporate. At this point I am over this, completely.
Rude. Not interested in helping customers at all. Store doors were open, and instead of asking how he could help me, the associate held up his phone and said “we open in 5 minutes”. I stared at him, dumbfounded, as the doors were open, and decided not to give Ashley my business.
Jean, Joshua and the staff at Ashley’s in Somerville were amazing. Very friendly, helpful and informative. Nice and easy process. Highly recommend stopping in!
