The history of the Ashley Store in Escanaba goes back more than a quarter century. It was 26 years ago that Roger’s Furniture opened on 3rd Avenue North in Escanaba, founded by Roger and Mary Jane Jensen of Gladstone. The store started as a warehouse concept in the 150 year old historic building and transitioned into a unique home furnishing experience. Business boomed and we had to move to a larger space at our current location on N. Lincoln Rd. In 2006 we brought the Ashley Store to the U.P., and a second generation began running the business when their daughter, Kelly took the reigns. This enabled us to remain locally owned and operated, and have the tremendous support of America’s largest furniture and mattress retailer. Our Escanaba was the 239th store to open. Today, there are almost 700 stores worldwide. In addition to the Ashley Store brand furniture, we also carry Beautyrest & Tempur-pedic bedding, electric fireplaces, lift chairs, and quality home accessories. the Ashley Store is the largest furniture manufacturer in the world and the largest selling brand of home furniture. The line now includes bedroom, dining room, casual dining, upholstery, motion upholstery, leather, occasional tables, entertainment centers, home office, youth bedroom, recliners, rugs and accessories. Ashley is a great company and Nancy has such a wealth of knowledge and experience! (She's also very friendly and approachable.)
They didn’t have what I wanted in store so I ordered without trying it out and when I received it I found the loveseat recliner was hard to open and hard when I sat on it. The people delivering it were very good.
Our delivery guys were prompt, courteous, efficient and treated our furniture great!
Delivery was earlier than scheduled. They called ahead to approve.
My experience with Ashley Furniture was excellent from when I first look at furniture possibilities in the Escanaba showroom to the day of delivery. Their staff prepared quotes quickly, answered any questions I had, and made the ordering process quick and easy. The furniture arrived as planned without any delay. All pieces (3 total) were free of any damage, and the delivery guys did an excellent job getting the pieces in my home and set up. Ashley Furniture has even followed up to see if I am a happy customer (reason for this review), and I am very happy to say I am a pleased customer. Thank You Ashley Furniture for the quality furniture and fantastic service! I will be coming to you for any of my future furniture needs 🙂
