While this incident happened a few months back. am writing this to express my absolute outrage regarding the behavior of sales associate at the Ashley Furniture on Linden Road. My experience with the salesperson a younger lady named Jessica was, without exaggeration, the worst customer service encounter I have ever had. Not only was the service subpar, but I was subjected to deeply offensive, prejudice and nomophobic behavior. And at one point she casually dropped a racial slur. It is 2025, and It is appalling that a representative of a major brand feels comfortable displaying such blatant prejudice toward customers Her attitude was aggressive, dismissive, and charged with bigotry that made the environment feel unsafe and unwelcome. A person's identity should never dictate the level of respect they receive, especially in a place of business. I am disgusted that Ashley Furniture employs individuals who harbor and project these views. I will never step foot in this location again, and I strongly urge others-especially those from LGBTQ or marginalized communities--to take their business elsewhere. As I already have done. Management needs to address this immediately, as this is a massive liability and a stain on the company's reputation. And I have filed a complaint with the corporate office.

After shopping many stores all afternoon we decided to try one more and landed at this Ashley store. Jess came right up and listened to me explain my particular need. She invited my sister and I to walk around the store, while being more familiar with everything there, she would do a quick look to see what might fit my request. Although she could not find a physical table for me to look at, she did do a search and found exactly the table and chairs I was looking for. Went to the Flint store on Linden Rd, met with a salesman by the name David. He went above and beyond to make our experience easy, he was kind and patient. We purchased a recliner and rug from him, we had to pick the chair up at another location, he called ahead and they were ready for us when we got there. Thank you David for such an easy experience, we will be back in the future.

After extensive research on nectar beds, we have decided to test one out to ascertain its comfort and reputation. To our surprise, it exceeded our expectations. Jess performed exceptionally well, demonstrating down-to-earthness, understanding, and providing ample space and necessary information. She is an exceptional salesperson. It has been a while since I have met someone so engaging. I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of my new bed.

do not waste your money on the warranty. Horrible service as far as that goes. We purchased a couch from Ashley. (A sectional with the warranty over $3000) And Have been trying over and over to get ahold of them. And no response, once I couldn’t get the more person to ever answer. I tried emailing, tried their contact form, Reached out to the stores. And Left my information to receive some type of contact after explaining to them how it’s been impossible to get a hold of their warranty worker. And still nothing. So again do not waste your money on a warranty that they will not honor. PS I’m putting this on both locations because when I purchased our sectional, I had to deal with both locations. So before some worker gets on here saying I’m not a customer at that location. Don’t sell me a sectional at one and make me go get it from another.

I just love Ashley Furniture. I’ve bought my kitchen table & chairs, whole bedroom set and now a new living room sofa and chair from Ashley. I’ve never felt pushed into buying anything. In fact when the couch we originally picked didn’t really fit after we measured it, Corey our salesman helped out by drawing our room out and making sure we found something we liked and fit. Then the delivery guys were also awesome. Very nice, respectful, and even suggest a better idea of how to place the couch and chair to make it look better.

My husband and I just closed on our home and we went furniture shopping just to see what Ashley had to offer. We have both used Ashley in the past for a bedroom set and living room set and had both had great experiences. We were in need of quite a few things and especially a sectional for our new basement where we will be doing a lot of entertaining. We walked in and Tony greeted us right away, he was super friendly and wanted to let us know aside from Memorial day deals if we came back on Sunday we would get exclusive perks for the VIP event and it was by appointment only. So we made our appointment to return two days later and had pretty much everything narrowed down to what we wanted. We spent 4 hours making sure everything was just right. Tony was so professional, it's not often you come across a sales rep like him. He didn't feel pushy or sales-y, it felt like being informed by a family member or friend. Tony was super fun and friendly and most of all knowledgeable. It's incredible, there wasn't one piece in the store that he didn't know about. He's super confident and it was such a pleasure to work with him! We secured quite a few things while we were there. Tony worked with us so we could get the most bang for our buck, when we left we were satisfied with everything and how the process went. We ended up leaving with a sectional, entertainment pieces, a kids bedroom set, kids swivel chair, 2 new mattresses with sheets and 3 new pillows, a dining room set and an amazing water piece to hang in our new kitchen or living room! We got INCREDIBLE deals that were kind of hard to believe and our brand new couch even came with a FREE trip! So we are planning a trip to the Bahamas in 2 years, everything included we just have to pay for our own flights to get to Florida. I couldn't even believe it. Everything was so perfect! I love how they will hold the furniture until we leave and then the payments start a month after. We were not impressed only with Tony's skills, but the products that Ashley has to offer. We are again so impressed with Ashley, I don't think I could ever go anywhere else. I still have and love my bed/furniture set from there that I bought 3 years ago and we have absolutely no issues. Thank you Tony! We will definitely be back if anything else is needed! Please go see Tony at Ashley for all of your home furnishing needs!

Buying the furniture at Ashley’s was fast and easy Staff definitely approaches at door but was not pushy. Salesman was informative but could benefit from being more friendly within conversations/questions. The couch arrived on time, and appears to be appropriate However, although the movers were nice. They did not listen to my request / really demand on what door I wanted it brought in, continued to push back and were very hasty with assembly. I am fearful the couch was assembled to quickly, with no accuracy when screwing on legs & used a power drill that was set to highest “drill”setting They did pick up trash, were not rude besides wanting to do it there way Ultimately I recorded the encounter in case the assembly was flawed I would buy again from the store, not satisfied with the paid delivery

Well we bought mattress bed frame and a lift for the bed. We put it together and the lift would not fit the bed. So we put the lift on the bed supports. Then the mattress on it.It was over 40" above the floor which is way to high. He said it would be a little bit higher not much. He also told us we could bring the mattress back if we wanted he give us a timeframe. I don't remember what it was. So we called the next morning and they said they would not return it. So on our day off, we spent five hours at Ashleigh furniture trying to get it resolved. so anyways, our salesman was Josh not very happy with him. Yes, he made the sale, but we were not happy if he would've informed us that the bed was gonna be so tall we could've made a different choice instead of wasting our Saturday in your store trying to figure this mess out, but thanks to Quinn. He helped us out and the folks at your outlet center. We're also a big help, but But Josh on the other hand is not a very good salesman. We are not happy whether we shop at Ashleigh's again unknown probably not but Quinn did a great job. Tell Josh thanks for ruining our weekend. We were excited for our new bed but now our mattress is sitting on the floor

We walked in to Ashley this evening and were greeted with a warm welcome from Josh. He gave us the rundown of the store and asked what we were looking for. He informed us as to where we would most likely find servers and left us alone to scout the store. He checked on us with comfortable frequency. We found the perfect piece and Josh quickly went into action to get the paper work together for us and we walked out very happy. We were also looking at recliners. Josh shared some valuable information to help us in our quest for a quality recliner. So I’m sure we will visit Ashley again sooner than later and we’ll be sure to ask for Josh and so should you.

Steven was amazing. Asked us our budget and stayed well within range on the options that he showed us. He quickly attained a great understanding of what we were looking for which made things very easy on us. Steven did a great job of staying around/available while still allowing us to look on our own. Brandon at Ashley is awesome! My boyfriend and I were in the market for a new mattress and he helped us pick one out. Asked us what we were looking for, gave us different ones to lay on, asked us what type of sleepers we were and gave us pillows based on how we sleep (which we ended up buying pillows too lol). He made the whole process super easy and was super friendly and nice! :)

Brandan greeted me as I entered the store. He was very polite, nice smile. He asked what type of furniture i was looking for and I told him. What I really liked about Brandan is that he stayed right with me as I looked around (and around, lol) the store, trying to find the perfect loveseats and chair for my dad. Brandan was never pushy. He was informative and helpful. I ended up purchasing 2 loveseats. Shopping at Ashley's was a very positive experience. I will come back again.

Zero stars wasn’t an option. Reassured by the big guy, funny his name rhymes with phony, that my couch is impervious to animal damage. I get it if a dog just chews on it. Explained we have cats, he took his car keys, cut edge down, and raked them back and forth on the cushion. He then told me that he’d send his guys out once a week to restitch it if he had to if I bought the 5 year warranty plan. After seeing that and hearing the service they offer, why wouldn’t you?! Well his guys aren’t his guys, they’re a third party joke. One piece of the $4000 sectional was damaged the second day we owned it back in August of 24. During the time of getting thrown back and forth between Montage and Ashley, each piece of the sectional sustained damage. To try and put a bandaid on it, they would only agree to replace the first initial claimed piece. Nobody in store will return a phone call. What a joke. Contacting the BBB, but good luck with these scammers if you decide to buy anything from them.

the furniture was great, my issue is the sales staff are straight liars. from the beginning, they almost ordered the wrong color furniture, then they had all my information wrong like phone number, address, glad I caught that. then we realized they completely forgot an item. to add to the frustration our delivery fee was supposed to be free but then I seen the charge and had to go back and fight to have them take it off. the salesman also assured me we could had a headboard to our new frame, but he lied, we had to pay extra for that which he never told us. then as far as the 0% intrest went for my order they only applied that to part of our order. we will never return, and definitely will not recommend this crooked sales staff. total joke, issues every step of the way. oh and the 3 to 5 week delivery time actually was 8 weeks. all I get after these problems was tough luck. do not shop here

Purchased a $800 recliner within the first week it started squeaking. And ripping in the inside of the chair They told us that there was a process for them to fix it before they would replace it I told him that I wanted return this chair to purchase a more expensive chair Joan led me to believe that they would do this now. I have a $800 chair that has been half replaced. Do not buy Ashley furniture. It is not quality furniture.

10/10 Do NOT recommend! I purchased a couch 2 years ago as well as an additional 5 yr warranty. The finish on the headrests of the couch are now wearing off. I contacted the warranty company "Montage" & they inform me that this is not covered as it isn't accidental damage--unbelievable! They then graciously pushed me off on the store to try and get some resolution. After several conversations with the warranty company and the store they both just point fingers back & forth at each other & refuse to take care of the issue. I was told that the sales manager "Christian" would call me back multiple times and of course that call never came. Now I'm left with lots of wasted time & a couch that looks as if it has been drug down the road by a truck all due to no fault of my own. Do better Ashley Furniture & Montage and to any consumers considering making a purchase from this establishment, avoid at all costs unless you just enjoy throwing your money away!

So overall no long wait etc. I wish they had more selections for the recliner I was interested in, but guess 3 is good enough. I spent 10p$ for delivery over 2 yrs ago. Just thought 200$ was alot! I just don't like bothering people to help me. So going to pay that! Know it's a 3rd party comp. Overall, if I get the recliner before my surgery in 4 weeks I'll be happy!

As we arrived at the store an employee named Brandon, assisted us with our shopping needs. He was very knowledgeable about our product, and even had another employee alert us of another Great deal, of a similar item. I unfortunately forgot the name of the other gentleman, who told me about a Clearance recliner chair for $50!! Yes a recliner for $50, we were extremely happy with our purchase. We bought an overly expensive sectional sofa/head board/matress. I truly don’t mind spend extra money if the product is good, but for over 12k spend and every is falling apart in less then a year is crazy, oh but they sell you on “it has a warranty” but what they don’t tell you is Ashley’s wipes there’s hands with you as soon as they get there money and send you to some random warranty company who you sit on hold with for over and hour and they don’t wanna do anything for you. And to top it all of we thought we got luck and was about to get Wendell the main manager when buying our furniture but in reality he’s just another con sales man over the past year I’ve called and left multiple voicemails with him haven’t heard back once. As of one year later, matters itself is still doing alright, the fancy bed frame and head board fell apart so bad we go rid of it and the couch appears like it’s 10 plus years old because it’s so broken down, absolutely the worse experience buy “high quality furniture” for a claimed to be “high quality company” You be better off going to Walmart at least they will actually hold there warranty and call you back

Dante was the best! So patient and you should buy your furniture from him only!! We went in early this week to buy a couch and he set us up even though we couldn’t come back till Saturday he was there and immediately helped us!

UPDATE: After getting my bed foot locker I opened it and it has a strong smell. It isn't a leather smell. Smells more like chemicals. I bought this in December and now it's May and it still smell. That's disappointing because the locker is nice looking!

First time shopper looking to replace 3 worn chairs. The showroom was large with a fair amount of furniture on display. Salesman Izzy introduced himself and let me browse at my leisure. Was taken by surprise when I was asked to have my driver's license info scanned as I was buying furniture, not liquor! I refused the license scanning request but provided all the info necessary to fill the order. Two of the chairs I ordered needed to be backordered so it took 1 month before the order was finally delivered a few weeks before Christmas. Customer service was helpful in providing me with delivery tracking and details. The delivery went very smoothly, the driver called ahead and was right on time. They were courteous, efficient and professional and I was quite pleased. The chairs I purchased are of good quality and well worth the price paid.

Steve at the Flint location was a very personable and knowledgeable salesman. I actually went to store farther away and drove past one other Ashley’s just for his customer service. So for him I give 5 stars for his service until came time to deliver the goods. I visited Ashley furniture earlier today to see what they had. Found what I liked and decided after checking a couple different stores to go ahead with purchase at Ashley. We called to get exact amount due and asked if we could pay over phone due to being 35 minutes away from store, was told not possible, so then asked if we could come in and pay for items tonight and pick up tomorrow was once again told no,. So long story short made trip to purchase said items and pick up. Got there , after talking to them 30 minutes prior to find out don’t have items in stock and distribution center was closed for night so have to drive beck tomorrow for loveseat and not sure if sofa is in stock anywhere. Not best experience since spoke with them several times today about what we wanted and was never told they didn’t have any. Ashley Store randomly spam-texted me, asking for a review - so here it is. I’ve never visited an Ashley store. It appears either they bought my phone number from a list, they’re random dialing, or they misdialed. Regardless, I am on the do not call registry and am reporting the violation.

Dante was very helpful and knowledgeable. Not pushy, but helpful at just the right time.

Furniture selection was good, staff was very helpful, and Black Friday pricing made the purchase possible. Very smooth.

Brandon was not pushy, but knowledgeable about the inventory. He was friendly and helpful in taking us around and giving us time and space. He was willing to intertain ideas, took time to look things up that would meet our needs, and treated us with dignity. Very professional.

We set out after work, to begin our search to replace our 35 year old kitchen table. We dreaded being pressured but our fears were unfounded. We were greeted at the door by Izzy, who put us at ease immediately. He asked what we were looking for and told us where we could browse on our own. We were pleasantly surprised when he appeared at every right moment to answer our questions. He guided us while letting us make the important decisions on our own. We have never felt so good about a purchase and highly recommend this Ashley furniture store and specifically our salesman, Izzy, to anyone looking to purchase furniture.

We did not end up buying our furniture here but I wanted to take a second and tell you about our sales consultant Anastasia. (Sorry if it is spelled wrong.) She was fantastic during our long search for a new livingroom set. She put us in comfortable, durable, pieces that would last. She heard us on color, design, all of it. We may not have purchased from her but both my husband and I appreciate how helpful and willing to listen she was. They had a wonderful selection at this location as well. If you are in need, go see her! I know she will listen and point you in the right direction!

Sales person was terrible. Not helpful at all. Said end table was not in stock. Told him I called the burton store and was told it was. He finally searched for it and found it. Then wanted to charge me $50 for assembly for the matching coffee table i ordered. I told him the burton store told me $35. I wanted to walk out the store because of him but didn’t because I wanted to take the end table with me. He was not helpful or very nice at all.

Decent store but DO NOT DEAL WITH A SALES PERSON NAMED JOSH. What a scammer. He comes across as all nice and pleasant but he ended up lying to me. I bought a chair from him and after it was delivered it didn’t look right in my room. I called him to tell him I wanted to return it and pay the 20% restocking fee. He told me they don’t have a program like that and that I had to keep the chair. I called the store manager and he told me that that wasn’t true at all and that I could return the chair for a 20% restocking fee. He couldn’t believe that JOSH LIED TO ME. He just didn’t want to give up his commission. Anyways, save yourself a lot of trouble and deal with anybody but JOSH at the Flint linden rd store. I’m sure I’m not the only one this little scammer tried to screw over.

This store has a great selection with a wonderful staff that doesn’t make you feel pressured. One of the better stores around. Brandon Keen is a great salesman.

I'm a disabled vet and I was disrespected from the moment I walked in. I'm only giving one star because I can't give 0. We were there for a power lift recliner. We went to the central service desk where there were no fewer than five people in that desk none of which acknowledged our existence, except for a nice lady who was on the phone with another customer who told us that she'd be with us in just a moment. She directed us where to find the recliners and a salesperson begrudgingly helped us. They only had two models on the floor but the salesperson said they had more I guess in the back or wherever it is they hide things. We asked for a chair with a cup holder and he just looked at us like we we're crazy even though we know that those kind of chair does come with cup holders because my dad's chair does. He basically just pointed at the chairs and said I have this model and this model if you have any questions come find me and he went to go do whatever it is that sales people do when they don't want to help people that don't look like they can afford to be in the store. After sitting in the two chairs they had we went down the road to Binson's medical and dropped 3000 on a chair. I will never set foot in any Ashley's furniture store ever again for any reason. If you wanna go somewhere to be disrespected and looked down upon by your appearance then by all means go to Ashley's.

Would not recommend Ashley Furniture. We were shopping for 30 before any salesperon asked if we needed assistants. I explained I have issues with my neck and back and need chairs with a straight back. We purchased them. We were told we could pick them up the next day. We drove 30 miles to find there was no employee available to assemble the chairs to come back tomorrow. So we went back the next day and one chair had a Crack in the backof the chair. Thomas and Will exchanged and assembled new chair. Took chairs home and tried sitting in the chairs. The chairs are OK for my situation. A week later, giving time to adjust, called and spoke with Izzy stating the chairs are too tall for my table and i cant sit right to the table,my grandparents handmade table. Unfortunately you signed a contract that stated no returns. I feel if Izzy would have gave me time to read the contract I would not have bought them. That is ridiculous to have a policy once the furniture is in your home you can not return them. So now we are stuck with $600.00 chairs plus 4 old chairs. The assemble employees were very nice and helpful.

Tony greeted us when we entered the store gave us space to look around with no pressure to buy. Finally we settled on several pieces , gave us sale prices . Finally he walked us thru the paperwork did as he promised to finish the sale and setup a delivery date. Thank you Tony for being professional and for your service

SUPER cheaply made furniture. This living room stuff is just about two years old and every coffee/side table we purchased from Ashley is peeling, dingy, and if we could afford it would be replaced. Do yourselves a favor and save a pretty penny by going to Bobs Discount Furniture. Quality is just the same, if not better. And they are WAY more affordable. Everything we’ve gotten from Bobs has held up ten times better than anything from Ashley’s! We furnished one living room with Ashley furniture, another with Bobs discount furniture. Bobs discount room has been used way more than the Ashley room , and has held up 100 times better!! No issues or complaints with Bobs furniture. We also purchased a Marble table from Ashley’s, it came covered in scratches and had to be refinished. I was never satisfied with the final result either, but didn’t want to go another few weeks in my new home with no dining area so decided to bite my tongue and deal with it. Not to mention, a couple days after having the new dining table and chairs we had to have someone come out and fix the chairs as they were falling apart at the base and were dangerous to use.
