We did not end up buying our furniture here but I wanted to take a second and tell you about our sales consultant Anastasia. (Sorry if it is spelled wrong.) She was fantastic during our long search for a new livingroom set. She put us in comfortable, durable, pieces that would last. She heard us on color, design, all of it. We may not have purchased from her but both my husband and I appreciate how helpful and willing to listen she was. They had a wonderful selection at this location as well. If you are in need, go see her! I know she will listen and point you in the right direction!

Sales person was terrible. Not helpful at all. Said end table was not in stock. Told him I called the burton store and was told it was. He finally searched for it and found it. Then wanted to charge me $50 for assembly for the matching coffee table i ordered. I told him the burton store told me $35. I wanted to walk out the store because of him but didn’t because I wanted to take the end table with me. He was not helpful or very nice at all.

Izzy was very helpful and knowledgeable. He explained all the details of different materials for each piece of furniture. Helpful with assisting the financial needs.

Decent store but DO NOT DEAL WITH A SALES PERSON NAMED JOSH. What a scammer. He comes across as all nice and pleasant but he ended up lying to me. I bought a chair from him and after it was delivered it didn’t look right in my room. I called him to tell him I wanted to return it and pay the 20% restocking fee. He told me they don’t have a program like that and that I had to keep the chair. I called the store manager and he told me that that wasn’t true at all and that I could return the chair for a 20% restocking fee. He couldn’t believe that JOSH LIED TO ME. He just didn’t want to give up his commission. Anyways, save yourself a lot of trouble and deal with anybody but JOSH at the Flint linden rd store. I’m sure I’m not the only one this little scammer tried to screw over.

This store has a great selection with a wonderful staff that doesn’t make you feel pressured. One of the better stores around. Brandon Keen is a great salesman.

I'm a disabled vet and I was disrespected from the moment I walked in. I'm only giving one star because I can't give 0. We were there for a power lift recliner. We went to the central service desk where there were no fewer than five people in that desk none of which acknowledged our existence, except for a nice lady who was on the phone with another customer who told us that she'd be with us in just a moment. She directed us where to find the recliners and a salesperson begrudgingly helped us. They only had two models on the floor but the salesperson said they had more I guess in the back or wherever it is they hide things. We asked for a chair with a cup holder and he just looked at us like we we're crazy even though we know that those kind of chair does come with cup holders because my dad's chair does. He basically just pointed at the chairs and said I have this model and this model if you have any questions come find me and he went to go do whatever it is that sales people do when they don't want to help people that don't look like they can afford to be in the store. After sitting in the two chairs they had we went down the road to Binson's medical and dropped 3000 on a chair. I will never set foot in any Ashley's furniture store ever again for any reason. If you wanna go somewhere to be disrespected and looked down upon by your appearance then by all means go to Ashley's.

Would not recommend Ashley Furniture. We were shopping for 30 before any salesperon asked if we needed assistants. I explained I have issues with my neck and back and need chairs with a straight back. We purchased them. We were told we could pick them up the next day. We drove 30 miles to find there was no employee available to assemble the chairs to come back tomorrow. So we went back the next day and one chair had a Crack in the backof the chair. Thomas and Will exchanged and assembled new chair. Took chairs home and tried sitting in the chairs. The chairs are OK for my situation. A week later, giving time to adjust, called and spoke with Izzy stating the chairs are too tall for my table and i cant sit right to the table,my grandparents handmade table. Unfortunately you signed a contract that stated no returns. I feel if Izzy would have gave me time to read the contract I would not have bought them. That is ridiculous to have a policy once the furniture is in your home you can not return them. So now we are stuck with $600.00 chairs plus 4 old chairs. The assemble employees were very nice and helpful.

Tony greeted us when we entered the store gave us space to look around with no pressure to buy. Finally we settled on several pieces , gave us sale prices . Finally he walked us thru the paperwork did as he promised to finish the sale and setup a delivery date. Thank you Tony for being professional and for your service

SUPER cheaply made furniture. This living room stuff is just about two years old and every coffee/side table we purchased from Ashley is peeling, dingy, and if we could afford it would be replaced. Do yourselves a favor and save a pretty penny by going to Bobs Discount Furniture. Quality is just the same, if not better. And they are WAY more affordable. Everything we’ve gotten from Bobs has held up ten times better than anything from Ashley’s! We furnished one living room with Ashley furniture, another with Bobs discount furniture. Bobs discount room has been used way more than the Ashley room , and has held up 100 times better!! No issues or complaints with Bobs furniture. We also purchased a Marble table from Ashley’s, it came covered in scratches and had to be refinished. I was never satisfied with the final result either, but didn’t want to go another few weeks in my new home with no dining area so decided to bite my tongue and deal with it. Not to mention, a couple days after having the new dining table and chairs we had to have someone come out and fix the chairs as they were falling apart at the base and were dangerous to use.

Had a great experience today with Josh as our consultant. No pressure allowing us to shop while he was still around for questions. We had a warranty claim on our existing furniture that was covered well and the store worked with us to pick out new furniture. At this point I would only buy from Ashely because they did what they said they would. They stood behind the their products and the warranty company was great. Our salesman Lee was very knowledgeable about the furniture and made the buying process easy. He took the time to listen to what we wanted and our situation to get us into furniture that fits our household (adults, pets, and kids included). Ashley had a lot of financing methods, explained them all thoroughly, and, even when a human mistake was made, they corrected it immediately instead of experiences we have had at other places, where I have been told it would take a couple of days to correct. Now we are waiting on delivery, but the timing seems to be shorter than our experiences at their competitors.

I had a great experience couch shopping at Ashley. Ja’Ron was personable and quite knowledgeable about different aspects of the construction of the couches. He was patient as I went back and forth different couches based on his recommendations, and I never felt pressured to buy something. I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted, and it was so helpful talking the different aspects of a couch selection with Ja’Ron, comparing the different models. I finally selected one, and normally it takes me multiple visits to different stores to make a decision. He helped me work through the decision and feel confident in my purchase.

First of all, I just love Ashley!!! Whenever I need any type of furniture I always check out Ashley first. I was at our family reunion in Illinois somewhere near Iowa. We crossed the state line and there was an Ashley Store! We immediately went there. Of course I couldn't buy anything huge, but I HAD to buy something! Just to say I was there! When I recently made a purchase in Flint, I noticed the colorful sofa that was displayed! I was very excited to see a color other than beige, white, brown, or Grey! Keep up the good work! I have already told others about it.

ashley had 3 different employees lie to me about the pet warranty add on, when I tried to use it they lied every time I called just telling me anything I wanted to hear until I finally talked to the 3rd party warranty company who told me all the lies Ashley tells. Ashley told me they would get my money from the warranty company, despite it being their employees who lied to me. over a year later and NOTHING. NO REFUNDS. NO FOLLOW UPS. I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY DONT OWN THEIR MISTAKES.

My husband and I went to Ashley Home store looking for a living room set. Hafiz greeted us as we walked in and was very friendly! He asked questions about what we’d be looking for and helped us find the perfect fit. After looking at a few different sets, we were able to narrow it down to the perfect blend of a pet friendly, scratch proof, comfortable sectional. He helped us with the order and getting a good deal on the delivery based on the items we bought. In the past, we’ve dealt with pushy sales people at competitors and difficulty with getting product because the manufacturer stopped making the item we selected. Hafiz made us feel comfortable and didn’t push on add ons or anything we didn’t want. Will definitely go back for any furniture needs.

Clueless and lack of accountability. Yes those are the the prime words for my experience with this location. I ordered a media stand online. It was then delayed past the date we needed to receive it by. I called and spoke with headquarters and it was a foreign speaking person who had very broken English. I asked to be transferred to a US based location. They transferred me directly to this store. I spoke with the “ Manager” whose name was Mari. He assured me that the price i would be paying was $619 which was mush lower than the price i payed online. (Roughly $1350). He said they couldn’t lower the price anymore because i was already getting a great deal. I was very happy to hear about the $700-800 we would be saving. Mari ended the call with “Im the manager and thats the price you’ll be paying. When the stand was delivered i waited for the charge to go through beacause with credit cards they tend to pend for 2-3 days. Once the $1400 charge posted I called the store back to inquire about what we can do to adjust the price that the MANAGER said I would be paying. They transferred me to a different manager who apologized for the “miscommunication” as she proceed to call me “Hun” and say that there is nothing that can be done. With in home deliveries the return window is very short so im basically out of luck. After talking to Shawna and being called “Hun” which was extremely unprofessional she then said she could attempt to call headquarters to see what could be done. Now over a month has past. I have left her 3 separate messages and she has clearly been dodging my calls and messages. Im sorry but when someone says im the manager and thats the price you’ll be charged thats what you expect to see on your account. Very convenient for them that the return policy passed, they are unable to adjust the price and they also offered zero solutions to attempt to correct THEIR MISTAKE. There is zero way to email corporate and they will never get my business or anyone I knows business. Utter lack of accountability, communication and professionalism. Dodging phone calls for weeks and offering no solution is totally unacceptable.

I originally left a 5 star review and unfortunately feel the need to update how this experience went for me. Let me start by saying the positives as the manager Quinn really tried to fix things as much as he could for us but of course something are out of his direct control. Dee from the delivery truck was fantastic and made sure to make me happy, and Adam the delivery manager was a true life saver who was determined to help us get this over with. When we came into Ashley’s to look for some new furniture being mine was destroyed during the moving process, we were so upfront with the sales man Izzy that we could not wait for items they weren’t able to deliver asap due to a expected arrival of a newborn baby in April. Izzy showed us many things that we would have preferred to buy but the wait time just wouldn’t work, after helping us find some things he assured us would be delivered in ONE to TWO weeks at most we left so happy that we decided to come back in and purchase the rest of the bed room set. We were assured that all items would be delivered by 3/19 and they would not be floor models this was important to us do to a prior purchase a few years ago where we paid full price for floor models after waiting over 4 months for arrival. When the 19th rolled around and I hadn’t heard anything about the delivery we decided to go into store and see what was going on. No one had an exact answer on when i would get my items except that it would be a substantially longer wait. I spoke with Quinn for the first out of multiple times we had to go into the store the get answers, Quinn tried his best and i do have a feeling most of the errors were due to other employees throughout the company. I expressed my stress of needing to put the baby’s clothes away, Quinn then was able to get my brand new baby’s dresser delivered on its own to help with the stress of the waiting game, delivery guys were amazing assembled and were so careful not to damage anything. Then we are waiting for the rest of the close to $4000 dollar order to be delivered. Long story short in order to get the items before my due date we were forced to accept the floor models, with a $400 refund. We would have rather had new but couldn’t afford to wait any longer! Soon arrival multiple scuffs on the furniture which is disappointing. Delivery was supposed to happen on Monday 4/1 and I did not get a delivery until that Thursday. Soon delivery parts to my bed are missing, once again another issue and they cannot find the parts . Adam decided to drive out here and personally put the bed together still missing some bolts, another issue. Adam had to go purchase some from the store. He comes back and gets the bed together and was truly apologetic about everything that has happened. I would give Adam a 10 start review if possible, I even offered him $100 bill and he would not accept it , I am so thankful for him finally getting everything handled for us. Moral of the story I am truly disappointed, Ashley has so many nice options to purchase and I love to shop here but the disorganization and the misleading of my sales man and delivery time has me deciding to never shop or recommend purchasing from here again. It’s so unfortunate they commonly have issues like this! Glad it is over !

Buying our couch here was such a frustrating experience. After our salesman assured us we would receive our couch in “probably closer to 2 weeks but at the very very most 4,” and “We don’t use these Covid shipping delay excuses like the other guys,” (his words) we waited over 7 weeks. The couch seems fine, and we honestly would have been willing to wait for it had they just told us the truth from the beginning. We had to call multiple times and customer service always told us, “Just one more week!” “We will call you back with updates.” “Let me find a manager and we can talk about this.” (Etc.) They never returned phone calls—never kept their promises—and would get frustrated with us when we called them a week later asking where our couch was. If you want honest, timely service, this is not the place for you. Shop elsewhere!

Witnessed terrible customer service!!! It's super unfortunate how my mother-in-law continues to been treated to no fault of her own. New furniture is suppose to be fun and exciting to purchase and I wish more than anything I could report just that. The wrong colored couch was delivered, the store manager refused to take it back when she attempted to refuse delivery. Instead she was advised to come into the store and pick out another couch because the couch they originally sold her was no longer available. Instead of asking for a refund at this time, she gave them the benefit of a doubt and selected a different couch only to be told weeks later this couch is not available and they have no definite answer as to when the couch will be available. After continuing to receive the run around she asked for a refund and they are refusing to give her money back and pick up the couch they wrongfully delivered. She still has no answers. I truly feel my mother-in-law was taken advantage of and I hope they figure out a way to make it right. Buyers beware and do your research on this place. Ashley furniture has great furniture but seek other retailers for purchase.

Do not shop at this store. Dishonest and take advantage of senior citizens. My mother bought a white leather couch. They delivered a dark grey leather couch. She tried to tell them to take it back. The delivery drivers called the store. The sales person refused to take it back. She went back into the store. The couch she purchased was sold to another person. She decided to buy another one which was more expensive. She has been waiting for over a month for her couch to be delivered. I called to see if she could get a full refund and I was told there was nothing they could do and it was out of their hands. Good luck if you buy from this business.

Ashley’s furniture is good but never buy any extended warranty from them. They simply hire subcontractor companies for taking care of maintenance and warranties which happen to be crooked companies that keep postponing and finding excuses. At the end of the day you don’t get any tangible service from them. It’s now eight months and we didn’t get the service. Lesson learned.

Great shopping experience! Freesia, my sales associate was fantastic! She was not pushy or overbearing. She listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions that would best suit my needs.

Ordered a new table and chair set. They didn’t order the base and the table came cracked. The outlet store on Lapeer Rd called the Pierson Rd store to see about getting us the floor model. Not really what I wanted but I had been dealing with this issue for hours and was over it. Lapeer Rd stated the table would be ready for us. Taken apart and wrapped and all set to go. We get to the Pierson Rd store and nothing had been done to table. They asked us to give them another half hour to do that. So we left and came back. It was wrapped but not taken apart. Keep in mind the table comes in pieces for a reason. As the table wouldn’t fit through doorways unless it was. Brandon was the manager on duty supervising all of this. When I stated it was supposed to be taken apart the warehouse guy helping through a fit. He said it was to hard to take off the 8 bolts required to do the job…he sat there and argued and argued about this..keep in mind its now 4pm and I have been here since 11am. He wanted us to drive 1.5 hours home and drop off the chairs and come back so he wouldn’t have to take it apart. While he is treating us like an inconvenience Brandon just keeps on letting him run his mouth. Well finally he took it apart. The table was loaded in the truck and they took the base and set it on the top of a box on back of truck. I heard my husband say “ is this broken?” To which the guy replied “ it is now that you forced it” all that was done was it was set on top of a box and the pedestal caved in! Nothing was forced! But I guess we found out why they didn’t want to take the table apart. The table top held it stable and once gone the base fell apart. I ended up ordering a new table but I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism! The entire time we were there they acted like it was our fault. Brandon and the warehouse guy definitely need some customer service skills and some training. Piss poor job anyway you look at it.

Shopping experience seemed great until delivery and set up. They dragged a dresser all the way across my hardwood floors even after telling them they were all just done and to please be careful. One bed frame had 4 out of 12 fasteners installed. Table has miss matched colored parts. Literally some kind of issue with every item we purchased. I do not like to leave bad reviews but I'm forced to try anything when I cannot get them to fix any of these issues. It's been months and I have no resolutions.

I bought a $4,000 bed set about 2 years ago and have had issues after issues with the mattresses they offer. i have had a big issue with the mattress creating divits where i lay and instead of letting me choose a different mattress, or looking into the issue further, they just sent me the same one again. So i gave the new one about 6 more months, and that mattress started to sink as well. So i talked to Ashley again, and they had me come in and pick a new one out. I had a very hard time picking one, as if the price was lower, they would not give me the difference back, and if i went higher, i had to pay the new difference. So i ended up having to take around a $500 loss to just settle with one. Now the new mattress that i have, is nice when you first get in bed, but after about 30 minutes, you will find that you sank probably 3 inches in the bed. I have just now realized that this whole sinking problem that has been going on from the beginning, is due to the cheap box spring that Ashley's sold me. There is so much space in between each board that is on the box spring, that the mattress sinks through, wherever you sit at in the bed. Now i had to go buy a piece of plywood to put under my mattress, to keep it from sinking through, and it has gotten better, but the mattress itself is still sinking some. I wish Ashley furniture would have looked into other problems further, instead of just sending a replacement, as this would have eliminated the problem a long time ago, but they told me the last mattress i got, was my final one, no matter what the case. I don't think i will ever be back at this location, or even with the company.

It's been over a month to get our purchase and every time we call they tell us another three weeks. They broke the first order and had to reorder. Since we weren't getting that one they told us we could buy the floor model and get it in two days. We called on the day we were going to get it and they said it would be another week! It's on the floor! Why can't it be delivered!

Jaron was so helpful. He had great product knowledge and was friendly. When picking out my mattress, he took the time to ask me questions about my sleeping habits, if I had any medical problems like neck, back and so on in order for me to find the best mattress to fit my needs. The great customer service did not stop there. Quin, the Flint stores manager, greeted me and asked me if I was satisfied with my purchase and if he could help me with anything else. When it came down to final pricing, they were so fair that I felt so comfortable as if they treated me like a family member. I will be going back soon to purchase my living room furniture. This place is THE worst. Everything they sell is cheaply made and won't last a few weeks. They will promise you anything to get you to buy then screw you over. Good luck getting warranty work on anything, or the correct item delivered without 9 months of delays and excuses. Notice all the good reviews are from new accounts with 1 or 2 reviews (they're fake).

Ricky and Lee were helpful friendly and tried very hard to make a sale. We were only in town for the day and hope to leave with a piece of furniture. Unfortunately their manager refused to sell floor stock and expected the customer to wait 4-6 weeks. This poor decision caused us to look elsewhere. We would have loved to buy from Lee and Ricky.

Anon knew we were coming, he greated my Wife and I with the upmost professionalism and respect! He handed us over to our salesman Hafiz who helped us along the way, knows his products and knows his customers. I started my furniture search with Ja’Ron. He was professional, patient and friendly. He was attentive without being pushy. I wasn’t ready to purchase my furniture on the day that I initially went into the store. He took my information and gave me his. His attitude made me want to buy the furniture that he looked up for me. Brandon was on duty the day that I returned to place my furniture order. He picked up seamlessly where Ja’Ron left off. He went over and beyond the call of duty to make sure that I got a great deal. He was complimentary of Ja’Ron and professional and kind from start to finish. They both made my furniture purchase a wonderful experience.

Delivery warehouse has there heads up their butt. Been trying to get furniture delivered has been a nightmare. Saying they will be there and no show. Not happy with this company.

I walked in the store today, over two months later, and was greeted by Terra and helped to select our new recliner couch. My Girlfriend and I bought a few thousand dollars of furniture from Ashley, including a dining table, chairs, a couch, chair etc. Both times we purchased the Montage Warranty they offer. After having to make a claim on the table due to surface damage, of course they denied the claim saying it's not covered. Of course it isn't! Then we contacted the store direct, spoke to our sales person (Only good thing of the experience with Ashley) , she referred us to the store manager, Quinn. I spoke to Quin and he told me he would escalate it through their warranty rep and would call me back by the end of business. Ummm that call never came. I then waited to the following Monday and spoke to Quinn again who talked to me like he never spoke to me, and then told me he would look into it and call me by the end of that Monday. Ummm that call never came. The next day my girlfriend received a TEXT from the store stating they would not cover the damage. A TEXT! So in short. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLEY OR THEIR THIRD PARTY WARRANTY COMPANY MONTAGE! Not so much that the damage was not covered but more to the fact that they did not represent the warranty as they should have and MOST OF ALL their lack of customer service and professionalism!!! Take care of your customer or someone will Ashly Furniture!

Just to purchase a pillow I had to provide all my personal information so Ashley could make an account. Totally ridiculous. IT WAS A PILLOW. It took me 45 minutes to check out. Service was great….checkout dismal. Ashley needs to update their purchase procedures when it is a small sale. NO FURNITURE!!!! Had to check all the boxes when they didn’t even apply.

Long delays. Lack of communication during long delivery periods. No compensation for long delays. Good products but failure from purchase to delivery can be described as lackluster. The customer is left to continue to check in the status of the order. After months of waiting one of my items was discontinued/recalled and the suggested replacement item was very much more than my original item (still no compensation or consideration). I will have to think long and hard prior to shopping here again.

My mom (89), loves this store. They previously bought all leather furniture a few years back, still like brand new. Today there was no pressure for mom to pick a “lift” chair! I would not recommend buying furniture from here. I bought a sectional two years ago and within 8-12 months noticed that the cushions were extremely flat/sunken. I bought the warranty and hoped it would cover this, but they said it was "normal" wear and would not be covered. It got so bad that it was hard to even get up from the couch. I went and bought some stuffing to try and help but now the cushions are all lumpy looking. All that to say I'm extremely disappointed they didn't do anything especially since I paid extra for the warranty. It's a 2-year-old couch and it already needs to be replaced.......that speaks to their quality.

Ordered 3 items, a bed w/nightstand, chair and bar stools. Paid for delivery. Rep states bed wont be in for 2 to 4 weeks but everything else in stock and can take home myslef or wait for the other items for delivery. I chose to wait for delivery, which is why i paid for it bc i cant carry bu myself. On day of delivery, driver shows up and states does not know where chair is and to call the office. Also noticed when i looked at my receipt i was overcharged for furniture protection and advised CSR rep, Tina who said the prices on the internet are not the same as in store and you pay more in store for furniture protection. Definitely feel like i was overcharged and taken advantage of and also paid up front when they didnt comply with their end of the contract.

Amazing customer service! We felt comfortable the whole time. Coop went above and beyond.

The service while ordering was great, but after the order was complete and I was scheduling the delivery I was informed another piece of the couch was back ordered. The one piece I knew was back ordered was supposed to be in in a week or two. Now both missing pieces are not supposed to be in for 6 weeks. Then you have to pay a separate delivery fee. Very frustrating.

We came into Ashley furniture yesterday March 26th on linden rd to obviously look around for some furniture..we were greeted by women named Corliss who was absolutely wonderful to my girlfriend an i an helped us out with our needs an what we were looking for in a couch an a bed mattress..if you guys are looking for a great sales person who goes above an beyond it’s her!!! Go see her a she will take great care of you!!

I went into the store to look at a dining set I saw online. I was greeted by an employee and shown to where some of the dining sets were. While she was able to match the online price and free shipping offer, she did seem distracted by a "be back" sale that had came in. When the purchase was rang up, the price match was incorrect, so Wolfe had to do a correction; I told her it was okay to go to the "be back," mostly because I felt like I was inconveniencing her with such a low-dollar sale. The store itself was clean and had a good selection, though. And Wolfe was able to get everything squared away with the sale and refund.

Horrible Customer Relations, they damaged my New Kitchen Flooring, which took us a long time to get, we are Seniors on a income, we spoke to Management several times they will not make this right, they offered us 50 dollars, this is a special Flooring that they can not patch it must be new!!! SHAME on the the Owner and the Management doing this too people, they Do Not Care!!!!! Do not promote or Buy from this store, shop somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!

Could NOT get anyone to help us. We don't like someone stalking us while we're shopping but at the same time it's appreciated when we're ready to purchase that somebody actually helps us! Found the sofa set we wanted. Took pictures of the tags containing the SKU, went to the desk in the back told them what we wanted and they said we needed to have our sales associate complete the transaction. Informed them that we had no sales person and that we were prepared to pay for and arrange delivery then. They told us to go to the person who greeted us, nobody greeted us. They sent us to the front desk and we explained everything we had explained to the back desk. Then they all got together and decided who was going to help us but nobody came back. We sat there for 15 minutes waiting... Nobody came back. So we decided that it was probably best that we not purchase our $3300 furniture sat there. Ashley, pay attention! You're losing customers.

Ray gave space to look in but checked in to see if we had additional questions and needed anything. Pressured into getting “free pillows” that ended up not being free. Update: changing my rating to reflect curren mood. Advisor shopped 2 different financing options for us to get us more months with 0% apr. but I’m doing so did not undo the inquiry for the 1st request. Now I have two open accounts open, received information about “my account” from two different companies in the mail. Next update: Wolfe and John at the finance desk were really nice and helped get product canceled. They handled my frustration professionally and kindly. Ray, however, was pressuring and after clearly stating limitations still pushed at them.
