Ordered almost 2 months ago 1 floor lamp and 2 vases still has not come in yet 1 of the vases very disappointed we worked sales lady Ashley tried to sell us furniture that we would have paid more for less so went a Ashley whole sale got the exact same furniture with more pieces for the same price and here it is 5 weeks ago no vases still I will never shop there again

My husband hates "pushy sales people" that try to get you to buy the more expensive options. My husband really liked Nick. Nick took our lifestyle into account with us needed durable furniture that can withstand having large breed dog in the home, and even helped with accurate measurements. We mentioned we were in the market for a kitchen table, and he guided us to the appropriate section. What impressed us most was his approach; he didn't hover or pressure us to make a purchase. After initially showing us the options, he stepped back, allowing us the space to make our decision, only returning occasionally to see if we had any questions. It was just the right level of attentiveness without being overwhelming. We were able to find the perfect kitchen table that suited our style and needs. But it didn't stop there. Even when he seemed a little unsure, he handled it professionally, and we were happy to be patient and support him. It’s clear he cares about doing a good job. Great Customer Service

Went to a few different Ashley stores looking for a sleeper sofa and this was the first store that had something similar to what we were looking for. Our sales person Aleigha was very helpful in helping us find what we were looking for. The staff was friendly and patient while we made our decision she wasn't pushy and helped us find what we wanted. I was pretty happy with my experience and would definitely go back again.

After furnishing my entire home through this location over the past 6 years, I had the most unprofessional experience with the manager, Eric, this afternoon. As a loyal customer, I have spent thousands of dollars over the years. Today, I went in to buy a specific sofa and the price they were offering in store was $100 more than the price online. Apparently, the website was pinging off a location in Ohio and pricing is different based on location. Fair enough. In trying to reach my price point on the furniture, Eric was completely unwilling to work with me to find a solution. He said that if he gave me $100 off, every time I come back I would be looking for better and better price contingencies. I asked him three times if he was willing to lose the entire relationship over $100, where I still have 2000sqft that I am remodeling, and every time he said yes. Look, I’m a reasonable person. If Eric had just said it’s their policy not to offer an additional discount I would not be here writing this right now and I might have gone ahead and purchased the sofa. Instead, he accused me of not shopping in good faith. I ordered a chair during COVID that took 6-9 months to be delivered. The sales rep at that time offered to give me a discount due to the delay, and I rejected it because I knew it was not the fault of this store. This is a local store with a local owner, and it is not their fault the manufacturer was having issues during COVID. I expected that we would have a long standing relationship and that the good faith I showed them would be returned as I continue to furnish my home. I was wrong, and this location does not value loyal customers. When I spend thousands of dollars, I expect more than an arms length transactional relationship. When I shared this with Eric, he couldn’t have cared less. I will spend hundreds more dollars if necessary to avoid shopping at this Ashley store again. I’m disappointed.

Aleigha was fantastic! Patient and incredibly knowledgeable of everything in the store and took time to explain to us the differences from piece to piece while not being pushy or sales-y. Love that that give back to the community with the beds for kids program as well. This is the second time I’ve purchased from this store, the first was for work. Beyond impressed both times, I won’t be looking elsewhere.

They need to have more teen bedroom options available to look at in person. They lacked in the tween/teen area and they don't carry alot of full size bed options. The person we worked with was great though and helpful with our needs. We ended up ordering it online in store with Alfred and he was great to work with. Another positive was being a veteran family, we get free shipping and install. We still have not received a phone call or text for our furniture delivery that we are anxiously waiting for. It's been almost 4 weeks.

We stopped in to look at some furniture pieces for our basement and Nick was very helpful. He answered all of our questions and got our order placed with no hassle. All of the staff were friendly and enjoyable to interact with.

When purchasing a mattress with my husband, the sales man asked us if we were paying in full or creating a payment plan. I said that we were paying in full. Then the salesperson asked again. I responded, louder, that we were paying in full. Then repeat. Then my husband responded and said we were paying in full, and the salesman said he’d ring us up right away. Felt blatantly sexist

We were met at the door by a friendly sales rep. She showed us around providing insights into fabrics. We were pleased by the selection and pricing! Because of their wide variety of styles, we found what we were looking for in a living room set. Bought a bedroom set with 1 dresser. That dresser arrived broke (drawer slide). I was able to fix. I then ordered the tall dresser and it also arrived broke (top of it was smashed). I called and asked to have the replacement delivered and they said no. I would have to go pick it up. I asked to speak with a manager, they said one would call back. They never did. An absolute horrible experience with this company.

EDIT:: finally got my second order (big mistake) and opened the box and my items were COVERED in mold. I should have figured since the box smelled terrible and musty/moldy!!! You can see all the white fuzz growing on the cardboard 🤮🤮 save yourself time and money and shop anywhere else!!! I would shop elsewhere. I got furniture delivered and they put a hole in my wall. It took 10+ days to hear any response (after multiple calls) and they said they would send someone out to fix it. I asked for proof that the person is licensed and insured (and not someone’s friend of a friend) and they will not show the proof and said “you have to trust me, this guy is good.” I feel like when they have to say that, the person might not be as good as they think…… wish I could give 0 stars!

Ok good store..but with typical sales ripoffs.. they have limited selection of colors they don't allow you to choose a fabric and have anything made to order. They charge $500 for delivery that's outrageous I've never seen it be above $35. They don't stock anything in their store or in any close warehouses anything you buy is 5 weeks to delivery I've never heard of this. And they try to hook you up with 29% interest financing! It's just like they're trying to be crooked in every possible way. Don't know about the furniture yet I'll be waiting a couple months for that. Why do not stock a store? I can order stuff. I say this about all department stores if you don't have it in the building then why do you exist?

Marcus listened to our needs and really helped us find the perfect living room set. We had been looking for 5 years unable to decide on the perfect living room set. Marcus helped us find the right furniture for the right price.

My sales person, Wendy, was incredibly helpful, showing me all the options and explaining the differences in the product I was searching for. I was selecting a higher end pillow as I have struggled with neck / shoulder pain and department store pillows will no longer work for me. Wendy taught me the proper way to lay on a pillow and body placement to help my specific issues. The entire transaction was really nice. Wendy made me feel very comfortable (laying down on a mattress can make you feel a little awkward!) and describing the differences in the pillows available, the construction, the options as well as the correct height. I feel like with her help, I was able to make the perfect choice! I’m so excited to actually have a good nights sleep!

Went to purchase new bed. Alfred, our Salesperson, was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. This was the second purchase we’ve made from Ashley within the past few months and both experiences were great. Ashley sells great products but don’t be scammed into purchasing the Montage protection plan it is a scam.

Michael was super helpful, he was very professional yet very personable, a genuine kind human. He can rock a pair of suspenders too! We honestly went to look to gather ideas, we had no intention to purchase today. Michael was very attentive to our style, he showed us pieces not only in the store but also online after hearing what we were looking for, and even measured chairs and the couch for us. Being able to sit in the furniture you’re going to invest in changes things, especially with help from people that genuinely invest in you and your needs (which is a rare thing these days). He gave us the opportunity to wander and did not suffocate or follow us. Product availability is also very reasonable. We purchase a sectional and additional items at this location and were told we could purchase a lifetime warranty for the item. Well when it came time to file a claim for loose seams the third party who handles the claims does not cover that. The store associate lied to us about what this covers and had we known we would have not paid or signed up for a protection plan that doesn't actually cover anything. Associates don't care they will offer an apology but in the same sentence day we can have it fix if you want to pay out of pocket for it when the sectional alone was 4grand.. horrible quality items, horrible customer service, horrible management, horrible third party vendor. Would never buy a single item from this company.

Mike was very helpful, knowledgeable and very clear and concise about what we were looking at. It was a very customer based service experience with lack of “sale sharks”, we've all grown to expect in the furniture buying process. My fiancé being a veteran was thanked by all of the sales associates for his service along with a few other great benefits for those who served. We’ve not yet gotten the furniture in home to share our experience with that, but we are very pleased with the overall service we received thus far.

Being a Veteran and having a few issues I like to be alone. I don't like crowds and can't deal with pushy salesmen. I am remodeling my home and need furniture, so I shopped online but you really need to sit in it and look at it in person. So I have to leave my safety net and adventure out. I took my youngest son and went to a few stores and almost threw in the towel, but we decide one more store. We walked into Ashley Furniture and meet Michael wearing suspenders and is also a Vet. I'm telling you if you need a salesman who doesn't act like a salesman and makes you feel like he is there to help see Michael. He announced himself before he was 2ft in front of me, which really helped. Very down to earth guy didn't try to impress me with a hero story or ask me about mine. He saved me some money and we had a good conversation. He politely asked if they could take my pic for their hero wall and ring a gong after the sale and I declined. The last thing I wanted is attention, they don't need a crying Vet in their store. If you have PTSD and have trouble shopping for furniture go see Michael. Thank you Michael

Looking for a sectional couch, found what we were looking for. Michael our sales person was very helpful. All in all we had a great experience.

I am a frequent customer of this store. I bought a foundation and a mattress less than a year ago and the foundation broke. I went to the store to find out if there was some sort of insurance or warranty on the box spring/foundation and I was told no. Then I asked to purchase a new one. The young lady who was given the task of helping me only said to me, "We don't have any on clearance." This was quite an odd remark since they had just pulled up all of my prior purchases which were approximately $10,000. I asked her why she would say that to me. From the blank look on her face I knew exactly why. I'm a Black woman. On my way out, I was asked by a manager if there was anything they could do to rectify the situation. I said that they could send me an apology letter. It never came. I understand that people's bias and racism get in the way of their business decisions sometimes, and I have worked with multiple White sales agents at the store who have treated me with respect, but when something like this happens, it is important to rectify these situations and make sure the staff person who did this is trained better. That part is the fault of Ashley home furniture. I have since bought additional sofas from a competitor simply because of this incident and they will lose more business when they allow people to make assumptions about their clients.

When we came in the next day, although they did not have it in store to look at, he offered to show us the material, color options, and similar products. We found the bedroom set we were looking for and asked for their best deal. They said they were able to match their online prices, which saved us $250 so, we decided to purchase. We were in the process of paying when we discovered they were charging us $300 for delivery. At that point we decided to look elsewhere. We felt that was too much to pay for delivery. We walked out the door and when we got to the car we started looking at their website. We found our set for $1000 less than what we were ready to pay in the store. So glad we decided to check the website. $1000 is a huge savings. And delivery was only $149.

I am editing my 5-Star response as I recently utilized the red carpet delivery service provided by Ashley Furniture and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite paying for premium Red Carpet service, my excitement quickly turned to dismay upon receiving my delivery. To my dismay, the white furniture I eagerly awaited was delivered covered in mud. This not only tarnished the appearance of the pieces but also necessitated significant cleaning efforts on my part. The lack of attention to detail and care in handling the delivery was extremely disappointing, especially considering the premium service I had paid for. I hope that the company takes steps to improve their delivery procedures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Additionally, I believe compensation or a refund for the red carpet delivery fee is warranted given the subpar service received. Overall, my experience with the red carpet delivery service was highly disappointing.

This was our best experience buying furniture. Cody greeted us at the door with a smile and was able to help us get exactly what we wanted, with absolutely no pressure to buy anything that we didn't. We will definitely be back.

Michael sold us a damaged loveseat!! There were two damaged areas on the sofa when we unwrapped it from its packaging. We contacted Ashley Furniture right away and were told that they would not replace it. We have dealt with a number of furniture companies over the years and have never been treated like this.

Our experience at this particular Ashley store was top notch! We spent the day driving around to several furniture stores looking for our perfect couch. Every store we stopped at we were dissatisfied with the level of customer service. We were about to drop thousands of dollars on a couch and as customers we felt like we deserved a warm welcome and the proper attention. We didn't feel that anywhere, until we were greeted by Cody at the Ashley Store in Grand Rapids! He was available, informative, and extremely kind. He didn't push but answered all of our questions and helped us work a great couch into the space we needed it to fit. By the end of the sale we were feeling great and taken care of. We are still awaiting our beautiful couch, and we are so excited for its arrival! We would definitely recommend this Ashley location and we appreciate Cody and every other employee that made sure we were satisfied with our experience. We will be back for any future furniture needs!!

Michael went above and beyond, taking the time to guide us through various sectionals, providing detailed insights into each one’s pros and cons, and explaining payment options and post-purchase customer support in meticulous detail. He never pressured us and allowed ample space for decision-making. When it came down to the final two options, he facilitated the process of choosing the right one. Additionally, Michael discussed long-term considerations, such as what to do if the sectional were to be discontinued. I went to Ashley’s for the first time today, we were looking for a new sectional. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Wendy. She was SO kind, gave me space while I was browsing but always just close enough that I could find her when I had questions. She was so patient, I had her write up and price up a few different configurations and she assured me she wanted to find me what was going to fit just right for us, and never complained that I was asking for to much. We made our way to 4 stores total for the day and are so happy we purchased with Ashley’s!

Edit- I am now on week 9 of waiting for my sectional, I was quoted 4-6 weeks on delivery. Now I called customer care and they said it may be mid to late December until I get my piece. Each week I call it is later and later. So now we are out >$2000 with no real estimate of when the couch will be ready. They’ve given me multiple dates but clearly those dates mean nothing. I wouldn’t even know that the date is changing without taking the initiative to call each week and get an update. No one can give us a reason or a real timing and does not seem to care. I’m extremely disappointed with my experience so far. Bree was amazing helping me and my husband buy our first sectional! The sectional we wanted wasn’t in store, but she made sure to find us pieces with the same filling, similar size, same color, and same material to make sure we could get an idea of what our piece will look like. Thanks Bree! We can’t wait to get our new sectional

I just love shopping at the 28th Street store in Grand Rapids, MI… Mike Barnes was awesome. He just walked around with me answering any questions I had about certain items and never once pressured me. Because of not only the quality of the furniture that I’ve purchased in the past and again today, but Mike Barnes…..you’ll definitely see me again. I will be happy to follow him wherever he works…he’s THAT good. Gives you the real answers and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. I really really wanted the loveseat that was on the display floor because it was a lighter color, but because I pointed out a couple of things and he was honest with me, I chose to go with a little more expensive new item instead. I don’t spend money easily, I’m usually looking for the best deal, but I think I found my best deal with Mike. Don’t ever let him go! I hope nothing but the best for him and his girlfriend.

Edit: I do have to add a few stars. Ashely contacted me and took care of the problem by replacing the furniture themselves. Super easy once they got involved and I do appreciate them resolving the issue. *****If I could give a zero I would. We loved the store when we went but the furniture is terrible and the insurance they talked us in to is useless Furniture: (we’ve had it for 4 years) 1. Always creaked 2. Cushions didn’t hold up past two years. 3. Two cushions have lost their stitching 3. Husband turned to look out the window and an interior piece of the frame busted Insurance: The FIRST repair man from the insurance came and showed us that the frame was made of thin plywood and staples. He’s seen a lot of them breaking lately. He was going to recommend they replace the couch. The following week we find out that the insurance is going to use a new contractor because the FIRST “isn’t working out” (one wonders if it was because he was actually being honest) They now say it can be repaired but we need a whole new back piece that they are not sure they have…. Haven’t heard back in 3 weeks. Very upsetting because according to the store “they will replace it if something happens” Never again….

The staff here seemed to be friendly and professional. We felt comfortable talking to them and they gave us space to peruse the store at our leisure. Drinks were offered to us also which was nice. My fiancé we were looking at a sectional online and it was there on display. Tyson was super helpful today and explained everything about the sectional in detail. He even showed me a different configuration of the chaise placement that I didn't know was possible. The deals and financing options were explained well also. If you are in the area looking for furniture check them out, they have a wide variety of furniture and home decor available. We got some inspiration for other parts of our house too. We are excited to receive our new sectional and we'll be back for other pieces down the line.
