In the store shopping was great. Ordered sofa sleeper, couldn’t get it delivered for 3 weeks. When it came time to deliver, truck broke down. Now not getting for another week. I need the couch for the weekend. They should get a different truck, load it and make the deliveries that were due today and push the others out a day. Why do I/we need to wait another week????

I was lucky to meet David first when I came in to look for a new LR set. He knew his furniture, their dimensions, etc. which was helpful. Not a pressure salesman, let me know sales might be going away soon, etc. Very personable, was not a bullshitter.We picked out a few sets and I said I’d be back w my wife; don’t let on I was in. We came back 4 hrs later. I caved and told her I was in earlier, David still tried to play it off, my bad David. Long story short, after 2 beers/ glasses of wine on them, we bought our first new LR set since marriage last June. It’s already in and waiting for the call for delivery. Go see David. Beers cold.

No high pressure when I walked in the door. Easy to work with thruout the decision-making process. Only downside was that delivery was a month out but very happy with the delivery. Guys went above & beyond setting up the two power recliners!

Bought a couch and chair from Ashley. Picked it up myself, signed a paper that I was picking it up. Once they brought the furniture to my trailer, they dropped the couch and went back inside, telling me other customers were waiting. I was rushed out, not given time to inspect anything. Got home and found that a board on the couch was broken. Ashley's customer care said that since I didn't inspect it when I received it that I would have to bring an hour back to where I picked it up (renting a truck and trailer again) or pay a tech to come to my house and fix it. How about giving people time to look things over before pushing them out the door. This was my second purchase from Ashley and it will be my last.

I’ve had my eye on this bar cabinet for some time now and when I noticed another Ashley store had it for $200+ less I went to my local store and they were able to price match and give me free shipping as a healthcare worker! Double bonus now I can have the piece I wanted at a great deal! Salesman was great, no upselling and not pushy. Just secured the piece quickly and painlessly.

Nice variations in couches, but need differs color options. Not too much pressure from sales people, but they certainly made sure they were easy to be found to help.

I had a Great experience. Very friendly service and I am excited about my purchase Edit: they had my order wrong and are so hard to contact to correct it. They said they re-ordered my chair a month ago and have not called to update, deliver or pick up the wrong chair that was delivered, and yet I am supposed to make a payment next week. They don't ever return my calls or emails and I even had to pay for "red carpet delivery"

We came to Ashley HomeStore in dire need of a new bed. We didn’t know what we wanted but luckily we had the BEST customer service from Cecilia. She was very professional and knowledgeable! She walked us through the entire selection giving us advice and asking questions about our sleep habits to make sure we found the perfect mattress. Cecilia was so wonderful that she even entertained our 4 month old daughter while we both tried out mattresses! Cecilia really went above and beyond for us and we will definitely come back just because of our experience with her - and the great furniture. Can’t go wrong with this place. We will definitely be back.

I have had extremely pleasant staff help me with my purchase at this store. I never felt pressured to buy and I felt like the sales people answered all my questions. Recently, the furniture I bought went on sale and was an additional $500 lower than what I paid for it. I went into Ashley thinking they might not honor their policy of money back for items that go on sale within 30 days of purchasing. I was pleasantly surprised that they DO honor their policy and the process was super quick and easy- no hassels whatsoever! I was in and out of the store in less than 10 minutes with $500 on its way back into my bank account. I will absolutely do business with Ashley and this store in the future!

Watch for false advertising! They are stating that their March Orange sale is the biggest sale of the year at 8% savings when in fact their President's Day sale was actually 15% savings.

Jeano was amazing he was the first to greet us when we walked in and was ready to answer any questions and gave us space to see the products and very informative on the prices and the break down on the prices. We are going back to pick out my daughter's bed room.

Our experience was simply amazing. On 03/01/25, we stopped in to purchase a dresser and we were greeted immediately! Our host paired us with a sales agent (Mark) and we made our purchase.. all within about 10 min (we came prepared). However... These folks go above and beyond with pride ... And if you are a Service member, past or present, the experience is even more amazing. It was such a pleasure to talk, and work, with our host and sales agent. Also, Did you know that Ashley's has a program that donates beds to those in need?? Every mattress that is purchased goes toward that program! It's a beautiful thing! Merrick and I will definitely be back to purchase again, from Mark, hopefully. Y'all would do good to do business with this company!

As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by Mark. He asked what I was interested in looking at( I was in for a new bed ) and guided me to where I would find them. He pointed out how I could tell if a certain set came in multiple finishes and if there was an option for added storage. He asked if I or my husband happen to be a Veteran(my husband is) because if so, we would get free delivery and set up. Then said he would give me space so I could browse in peace. I don’t like sales people hanging over my shoulder trying to push a sale, so his approach was very much appreciated. He let me know where he would be if I had any questions and I was able to shop in peace. I showed him a couple options I was interested in and when I made my decision he made the ordering process quick and painless. Can’t wait to get my new bed! Thank you Mark!

David was amazing offered water and welcomed us in the beginning. He was very inviting and welcoming. Coming from a corporate trainer for sales he was amazing. He was not overbearing and he checked in with us, but didn’t pressure us into doing anything. He was just there to helpI would definitely come back and ask for him again.

I took my dad shopping for a new sofa. David took one look at him and knew which one would be best. He tried 3, but came back to the one. He's getting a matching rocker too, without any hard core sales pitch. Then the entire staff shook my dad's hand and thanked him for his military service. Very nice experience.

It’s not the great selection of furniture, the competitive pricing, or the location that makes this store one of my favorites….it’s the people behind it. My salesman David was professional, personable, and prompt. He answered every question I had, fought for the best deal possible, and didn’t give me a bunch of fluff. I purchased my mattress on 7/20 I was told in the store that I would receive my mattress in 10-15 days. Here it is over 3 weeks and I haven’t even received a phone call to schedule. I’ve called the scheduling department twice, first time I was told I would receive a text or email but end of week and got nothing. So I called today and the lady I spoke to was rude and informed me they don’t usually deliver to my town unless there’s a truck delivering to my town. I told her I was not informed with all this information while making my purchases. She then told me I could be transferred to speak with the salesperson bc that is something he should be told. I told her it’s not my job to inform their sales people this information. She again said k well I can have someone reach out to you. I will not purchase from Ashley furniture store again. She told me ok thats fine. 10/22 I’m adding more to my review. I just don’t believe all these great reviews from people unless they are rating them before they received their furniture. I also purchased a bedroom set from them same day as my mattress. It’s been 3 months and I have not received my furniture. I’ve called each month and each month they tell me next month you should receive a phone call to set up delivery. They also have offered a “100$” credit for my troubles. I can’t believe this it’s just been a horrible experience it was my first time purchasing from them and it’ll be my last.

My family recently purchased our dream furniture from Ashley Homestore in Kalamazoo. They had a large selection of different furniture to choose from and it all looked/felt high quality. First time purchasing at this store. I had good service and was feeling very good until I came to the back of the store and saw 2 accent slipcover glider chairs that were definitely poor fitting to the chair. It made me wonder if the quality of the furniture was junky. All but those chairs looked good.

I ordered a white sofa set from here, and unfortunately couldn’t be more disappointed. My ottoman came with a giant brown stain and when I contacted customer service they advised i would have to wait weeks to get it fixed even though it was their fault. (It’s still not fixed 2 weeks later). I paid a lot for this set and expected it to be inspected prior to delivery. Now it’s an inconvenience and looks hideous in my living room.

From the time we walked in it was a great experience. Helpful and friendly staff.

I just moved to Kalamazoo from Los Angeles. I had to furnish a brand new home. I am so glad I stumbled on Ashley's in Kalamazoo. There are two salespersons I'd like to especially note for their friendly and knowledgeable service (and great sense of humor - always a good thing!). Alex and Frank are amazing and so is the admin crew behind the scenes that helped me finance a boatload of great furniture at zero interest for a year! What a great experience. It made the relocation much less difficult for me. I'm grateful.

The salesman, Frank, submitted 3 separate hard credit inquiries without my knowledge. There was a promotion for if you put 'x' amount down you get zero interest for 'x' amount of time. It was a lie, upon leaving the store and finishing the sale Frank told me I had only 90 days with zero interest. Also he put the wrong address on the application for the line of credit so I received the first bill very late subsequently being charged a late fee.

Great experience shopping at Ashley, they let me browse peacefully until I was ready to buy. Frank was professional and personable, he really made it easy to purchase a new bed and mattress. I will be back to shop again soon!

We paid for a mattress and cover and asked for it to be shipped to a warehouse. We did not get a notification that it was delivered, so i called and found out that the salesman lied to us about where it would be delivered. Shipped the mattress and cover to 2 separate locations and refused to give us the cover we purchased, saying they will give us a different brand even though we ordered this a week and a half prior. Will not be shopping here again

Our experience at Ashley in Kalamazoo was excellent. I had found the sectional we liked on the website, but wanted to see if they had it in store. They didn't have that exact one, but we met Bird who was more than happy to show us items from the same line, so we were able to see the build type as well as comfort and color. She made us aware of all the important things, such as strength in material, warranty, even gave us the out the door price. She was not the pushy salesperson type. We left and came back the next day. To be clear ashley online is different than ashley in store. But i ordered a dresser online. I had to do two rounds of replacement parts with 2 weeks of waiting between each round. Customer service was a bear and they didnt keep record of what they said theyd send me. Ill order instore only if i ever go back.

The moment I walked in it was awesome and the staffs were exceptional and special thanks to David Tipton ; he gave me the best deal. I was in and out and my expectations was meant in full

We love Ashley's and this store is very nice. We've been looking for some new furniture pieces for many months now and since we weren't in a hurry we've checked out numerous stores as we'd rather look, feel and sit on furniture in person although we've also checked online as well. We have already seen many pieces at Ashley's both online and in person. We walked in today and just looked around and the staff left us alone to browse on our own and checked on us later. They actually have some very nice solid wood furniture as well as more affordable pieces and comfortable chairs as well. We purchased some pieces from them today and will be excited to see them in our home.

Edit: Wanted to see if I could exchange a mattress for a firmer one. Temperpedic had a 90 day test out period. Since I bought it from Ashley and not directly from Temperpedic, Ashley Furniture said they wouldn’t honor that deal. So basically I should have just bought one through Temperpedic. When I tried to talk to the manager, he was super rude and basically said he didn’t need my business. So I will never ever buy anything from them again. Don’t buy from Ashly Furniture Store.

I had a stress free and extremely seamless furniture ordering experience from Ashley. Bird at the Kalamazoo MI location helped me pick the most beautiful pieces of furniture and made the process fast. The furniture hasn’t arrived yet so efficiency and user friendliness is yet to be determined, however Bird worked with me at each step to make sure I get the best price, even though she was on the road. This is my first time buying furniture for my first apt right out of college and I was super nervous. Bird’s professionalism and enthusiasm definitely helped calm nerves. I would say go to her as she cares about your personal needs and goes above and beyond. She’s knowledgeable, upbeat, supportive, kind, committed, and overall phenomenal!

Worked with Alex to purchase a sofa for our new apartment here in Kalamazoo. Drove all over to different furniture stores this week, but they definitely gave us the best price and best value. Alex helped us out with financing and delivering to our apartment with set up and box takeaway. He wasn’t pushy, but answered all our questions quickly and honestly. This store is a real joke! Stay away todays delivery the dining room tables were defective so they took those back. Delivery guys couldn’t get couch in while being lazy they didn’t take the legs off scratched them up & still couldn’t get it delivered. I only have the love seat, that’s it. Love seat is beautiful by the way this is the 3rd set of furniture!!!! Put a dent in the hallway ceiling too

I recently purchased outdoor furniture from the Kalamazoo store. Alex was great, the store was great no issues there, it is the customer care / delivery that has me left feeling extremely disappointed. I purchased on 05/12/23 and was told delivery would be today 05/23/23. Paige (customer care) called to schedule, I told her “leave me on the delivery schedule, but I’m going to talk to my husband about picking it up sooner. I will call you back if I’m going to pick it up” She called me back and left a voicemail asking if I was picking up. I tried to return the call letting her know I was not but it was after hours, left message. Never heard back. I called this morning to see what time it was going to be delivered and left another voicemail around 8:30. I called back at 11:30 and spoke with Paige. At first she was apologetic and said it was her fault, no big deal, I was going to give grace and just wait 3 more days. It’s just furniture after all. Then she changed her tone and started saying it was my fault. She did her job etc…I asked if I was going to have the $250 delivery fee and she said I would. Asked to speak with Logan, the manager and was told no. Asked for her email. No. Asked if her manager would call me back today? If she has time. Asked for the info for her managers boss. “It’s the names you hear when you called in” 🤯 I don’t know how this went so bad so quickly and I’m happy to change it to a 5 star once it’s made right.

It's been nearly 6 weeks now and no call with an anticipated delivery! I have called 3 times since at the three week mark asking for an ETA. 1st customer service said it was within their allotted time, no ETA, no further information. Called again at 4 weeks, left message no return call. Again two days later was told another 2 to 4 weeks. Asked for some sort of compensation for this inconvenience and was told two weeks ago I would be called. At this point I feel like I've been robbed! No communication, no apologies. Im now very concerned about the quality of my items as well as the warranty attached to the product. Its giving used car salesmen vibes at the moment, hopefully they come through!

I ordered online. Was given a delivery date called to find out what time to expect the delivery. The. Was told that they couldn’t deliver on the date they gave me. Instead I have to wait a week after the date. I will never order anything from them again. Update They sent 2 emails with 2 different dates of delivery. If you send emails with delivery dates people plan on those being delivered on those days

Bought a couch set less than 2 years ago, spent over $2000 on it and bought 5 year insurance plan on them. Couch is sagging because cushions are only held up by black netting/fabric and that fabric is ripping away from the bars it's stapled onto. Technician came out, stated they could fix it but it will rip again within 2 years because it's made poorly. Called the Montage Insurance and that representative stated that yes, the netting holding up cushions is a poorly made design and will rip again but they'll fix it again. Was then told by another representative, actually, once they replace a part then it is exempt from the rest of the 5 year plan and cannot be replaced again, even if it breaks again (which I have been told it will by technician and other Montage representative). Will NEVER by another piece of cheaply made furniture from Ashley Homestore ever again. My American Freight furniture lasted longer than this hunk of junk.

The instore service was fine, and our furniture looks good. But the extended warranty we purchased didn't even cover our chair when the padding was gone in part of the arm in less than 2 years. We will not be making any future purchases at this store.

I purchased a couch from Kalamazoo's Ashley Furniture on September 4th, 2022. I was helped around the store a week prior by a salesman named Sam, who was very helpful and pleasant. When I returned on 9/4/23 to purchase a couch, Sam was helpful yet again. On the day of purchase, I was told that 3 of the 4 pieces of my couch would take 6-8 weeks, and the 4th would take about 3 months. It is January 26th, and I still have no couch. I waited until about mid-October to reach out about the couch since I had not heard much, and was told that the 3 pieces would now be a few weeks longer. I was annoyed, but thought nothing past that. I believe I was told mid-November, but this was so long ago it's hard to recall. Since mid-November, I've basically been playing phone-tag with Ashley Furniture. Every week, I was told delivery was pushed back another week. At one point in early December, I was told the couch would be delivered by the end of December. When I called back mid-December, they denied promising me delivery and said it would be beginning to mid-January. On Monday, January 23rd, I was finally called to set up a delivery time. They told me they could do Thursday, January 26th. I am a teacher, and get home (at the earliest) 4pm every day. I said I could do Thursday after 4, but I was informed there would be no delivery window, just an entire day scheduled. I understand needing a larger window for delivery, but it felt a bit absurd that I couldn't receive any time frame...especially for how long I've been strung along by this situation. We scheduled delivery for February 4th, 2023 (over 21 weeks since the purchase of the couch). As I mentioned, I'm a teacher, and got a snow day Wednesday January 25th and Thursday, January 26th (the day I'm writing this review). Twice on Wednesday (and left a message), saying if there's any possibility I could do a last-minute delivery. Today, January 26th, I called the store 14 times over the span of almost 4 hours (and left a message at around 11 am). I thought I could call today when they open, and offer a last minute delivery, since this was the original day they suggested. I would have been okay with a no, since there's probably a lot of other factors that go into furniture delivery. At some point in all of this, I was offered compensation for my extended wait. I have brought this up a handful of times, and have received no follow-through with what that even looks like. This has been an exceedingly frustrating situation. After reading reviews about this store today, I should have known better. I have been told that this was all because of a new warehouse. I'm not sure why a new warehouse would cause a furniture purchase to go from 6-8 weeks to 21+ weeks. I am hoping compensation is not a gift card to Ashley Furniture, because I am not interested in shopping here again.

No stars. Horrible customer service. Paid for the warranty repair on our chair. Took 6 months to get it fixed and when they repaired it they put on the wrong color and material, now our new chair has one arm different from the rest. Ashley says they will not make it right. So disappointing. Would not recommend them to anyone. 1/18/23 update: still no response from customer service. Ashley commented some one would contact me ASAP. That was 4 days ago. Again bad customer service.

Bought a premium new loveseat from the Ashley home store in Kalamazoo. Had an issue 3 months after buying it where the cushion broke down they came out re-stuffed the cushion 3 months later it broke down again 3 months. After that they replaced that section of the loveseat. 3 months later it broke down again. This unit is less than a year old still under there one year manufacture warranty and they will not take care of the problem. They won't warranty it. I don't know what the problem is but I would never buy anything from the store again or their customers or service department. It's terrible

So the sales staff is very helpful and nice but the deliver time quoted is terrible. We were told 3-5 weeks verbally on our living room set although the paperwork said 4-6 weeks, NBD. But we are now going on 8 weeks and every time I call I get a straight up guess on delivery. First it was between Christmas and news years, no go. Then it was the first week of January, nothing. Now it's some time mid January? But is it? Our family Christmas is tomorrow and I really wanted our new set to fit everyone. Disappointed

Ever been to Caesar’s Palace in Vegas? The casino who whisks you in on a people mover, then after they get your $$, you have to leave under your own foot power? This is that place. Ordered a sofa end of October. Still waiting. Was originally told 3-5 weeks. 5 weeks in I call to check on it & confirm dimensions. They gave me dimensions: they didn’t match what I ordered. I was told they would confer with my salesperson & get back to me. 6 days later- nothing. I call & the phone rings for almost 5 minutes before going to voicemail. I leave a msg stating if no response from them in 24 hours, I’m canceling the order. They call next day & tell me I need to come in for a “re-select appointment”. I drive over the next weekend from Battle Creek. When I meet with my salesperson, he’s perplexed over why I’m there. I tell him. He measures the floor model & says I was (merely) “given the wrong dimensions when I called”. The young woman at the desk tells me I can look for my sofa the “end of December, first week of January.” Here I sit on December 31st, still waiting for this sofa, with zero communication from them. Would give zero stars, if possible.

Bought a couch, paid for it, nine weeks later no couch, no word, nothing. They're real nice until they have your money and then they no longer care about you at all. Terrible experience. - And I did call and I did ask that this comment reach the store manager and still nothing. No idea when my couch will arrive. No contact back from the store. I shouldn’t have to make a special call to the store manager. I don’t think it’s asking too much for the salespeople to keep track of whether or not customers receive their orders. And if it’s going to be late, a simple pro-active call would be nice to know I’ve not been forgotten. I’m not asking for anything other than some common courtesy.

I am beyond words when it comes to Ashley furniture store and their customer service. They continue to lie straight to your face acting like they will solve the problem at hand and never do. I was told 5 weeks for an ottoman… it’s been 8 and still waiting. When me and my husband have called to check up on our item we get nothing but attitude, clearly they’re used to dealing with people being disappointed. We FINALLY got a delivery time and it was confirmed the day before and just got a call saying the driver called in and will be delayed another week. Instead of prioritizing those that had to be moved we are treated like garbage and expected to wait even longer. We have been told multiple times a manager will contact us for the issue and still have yet to hear from anyone.. totally disgusted and will never shop at Ashley ever again.

After we decided to finance our furniture $2400 we called to see how shipping was going because we were in a brand new house with no furniture whatsoever the lady that I called to the front said well you are in your 6 week. So it will be within 6 weeks and basically hung about me she was rude she gave me no other insight I could not get ahold of anybody at the warehouse so I had no idea when my furniture would be coming I decided at that point in time I was to cancel my order. Two weeks later I still do not have my deposit back which they told me I had to come get when I got there they said o it was cash we will mail it waste of my time and gas and they still have not mailed it when I call I get no insight where my money is

Be wary of the quality/durability of furniture and the warranty coverage. I purchased a sofa and loveseat plus the warranties for each. After the couches fabric started getting scratched within days of getting them, I contacted customer services and was told they didn't cover the damages (though it was specifically called out in the paperwork I saved as "covered") I went to the store in person and was told it should be covered and they would contact me in a couple days with a solution. I've reached out several times and keep being told someone will reach out soon. I've been blown off, lied to, and passed around the warranty company since September. Given the fact we spent ~$6000 on the sofa's I would have expect some level of competency. *EDIT to the below comment* The store and the warranty company have repeatedly asked for the same information (which I have provided) and then will say someone will reach out. No one ever does. The reply below says they’ll “call shortly.” Guess who never got a call - AGAIN. *Follow up 5 months later* The store is working with us to come to a resolution.

Mark was extremely helpful in letting me know what would best serve my needs as I spend a great deal of time in my recliner. He will not steer you wrong. if you are a veteran, you certainly will be missing out if you don’t check out Ashley furniture and talk to Mark before making a decision to buy new furniture. Story was too long so here is the short version. Purchased furniture last November told 3-6 months. Last of furniture was supposed to be delivered Sept. 10th (8.5ish months later) but bed and one drawer arrived broken. The business development center talked to us, after we called, the following Monday and then ignored calls and emails for two weeks. Finally got an update after talking to someone in the store who pressured them I believe. Got our bed October 5th. The drawer was sent to our house with side rails off and no handles on October 11th. Left another voicemail (12th) and email (25th) with Business development center and still no response. Called the store and they sent an email to this same group and said they have 72 hours to respond to us. We have received some compensation for our troubles but being ignored repeatedly doesn't feel great. Still working to resolve this. The people in the store and the delivery team are great. My grip is with the customer service after making a purchase.
