The Jackson store w Fran and company were so bad - horrible customer service- I had decided to not ever shop at Ashley. Then, I found Alex at the Kalamazoo store who was professional , caring and very knowledgeable. Alex helped me order the recliner sofa I wanted and was very accommodating with delivery. If you need a great sales associate and no hassle when purchasing w delivery - call Alex he will have you admiring your new furniture in your home in record time!!! ☝️

Yesterday I walked into the store. There were maybe 6 employees working. One gentleman working with a couple. I walked all the way through the store, sat in a few chairs for comfort. Not ONE employee approached me to see if I needed help. I walked to the front entrance, looked around and left. I guess nobody was interested in a sale?? Poor customer service in my opinion.

First time purchasing at this store. I had good service and was feeling very good until I came to the back of the store and saw 2 accent slipcover glider chairs that were definitely poor fitting to the chair. It made me wonder if the quality of the furniture was junky. All but those chairs looked good.

I ordered a white sofa set from here, and unfortunately couldn’t be more disappointed. My ottoman came with a giant brown stain and when I contacted customer service they advised i would have to wait weeks to get it fixed even though it was their fault. (It’s still not fixed 2 weeks later). I paid a lot for this set and expected it to be inspected prior to delivery. Now it’s an inconvenience and looks hideous in my living room.

From the time we walked in it was a great experience. Helpful and friendly staff.

I just moved to Kalamazoo from Los Angeles. I had to furnish a brand new home. I am so glad I stumbled on Ashley's in Kalamazoo. There are two salespersons I'd like to especially note for their friendly and knowledgeable service (and great sense of humor - always a good thing!). Alex and Frank are amazing and so is the admin crew behind the scenes that helped me finance a boatload of great furniture at zero interest for a year! What a great experience. It made the relocation much less difficult for me. I'm grateful.

The salesman, Frank, submitted 3 separate hard credit inquiries without my knowledge. There was a promotion for if you put 'x' amount down you get zero interest for 'x' amount of time. It was a lie, upon leaving the store and finishing the sale Frank told me I had only 90 days with zero interest. Also he put the wrong address on the application for the line of credit so I received the first bill very late subsequently being charged a late fee.

Great experience shopping at Ashley, they let me browse peacefully until I was ready to buy. Frank was professional and personable, he really made it easy to purchase a new bed and mattress. I will be back to shop again soon!

Shopping for furniture was easy.

We paid for a mattress and cover and asked for it to be shipped to a warehouse. We did not get a notification that it was delivered, so i called and found out that the salesman lied to us about where it would be delivered. Shipped the mattress and cover to 2 separate locations and refused to give us the cover we purchased, saying they will give us a different brand even though we ordered this a week and a half prior. Will not be shopping here again

Our experience at Ashley in Kalamazoo was excellent. I had found the sectional we liked on the website, but wanted to see if they had it in store. They didn't have that exact one, but we met Bird who was more than happy to show us items from the same line, so we were able to see the build type as well as comfort and color. She made us aware of all the important things, such as strength in material, warranty, even gave us the out the door price. She was not the pushy salesperson type. We left and came back the next day. Bird was with other customers, so a staff member offered us a seat and refreshment. It was by far the best shopping experience we've ever had. Thanks Bird! You Rock. I was in the process of moving on Labor Day weekend and decided I deserved some new furniture. My friend and I decided to go in and see what they had. He was kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable of what I was looking for as the recliner I wanted was not on the showroom floor. He pulled up the on line screen and I was able to show him the recliner I preferred. The paperwork went quickly. I appreciate a sales person like David. If I need any other peices of furniture, I will ask for him. I am disappointed that it will take 2-3 weeks for delivery of the recliner though, but that is not on David!

To be clear ashley online is different than ashley in store. But i ordered a dresser online. I had to do two rounds of replacement parts with 2 weeks of waiting between each round. Customer service was a bear and they didnt keep record of what they said theyd send me. Ill order instore only if i ever go back.

We love Ashley's and this store is very nice. We've been looking for some new furniture pieces for many months now and since we weren't in a hurry we've checked out numerous stores as we'd rather look, feel and sit on furniture in person although we've also checked online as well. We have already seen many pieces at Ashley's both online and in person. We walked in today and just looked around and the staff left us alone to browse on our own and checked on us later. They actually have some very nice solid wood furniture as well as more affordable pieces and comfortable chairs as well. We purchased some pieces from them today and will be excited to see them in our home.

I had a stress free and extremely seamless furniture ordering experience from Ashley. Bird at the Kalamazoo MI location helped me pick the most beautiful pieces of furniture and made the process fast. The furniture hasn’t arrived yet so efficiency and user friendliness is yet to be determined, however Bird worked with me at each step to make sure I get the best price, even though she was on the road. This is my first time buying furniture for my first apt right out of college and I was super nervous. Bird’s professionalism and enthusiasm definitely helped calm nerves. I would say go to her as she cares about your personal needs and goes above and beyond. She’s knowledgeable, upbeat, supportive, kind, committed, and overall phenomenal!

Worked with Alex to purchase a sofa for our new apartment here in Kalamazoo. Drove all over to different furniture stores this week, but they definitely gave us the best price and best value. Just EXCEPTIONAL servive!! Our sales person was Frank Silva and he definitely went FAR over and above for us. We purchased numerous wall hangings, and he personally used his own vehicle to transport them home for us, as ours was too small.

Frank greeted us upon entering and was not a typical commissioned, pushy, sales person at all. He answered our questions and was very helpful. Never felt pressured. Highly recommend.

This store is a real joke! Stay away todays delivery the dining room tables were defective so they took those back. Delivery guys couldn’t get couch in while being lazy they didn’t take the legs off scratched them up & still couldn’t get it delivered. I only have the love seat, that’s it. Love seat is beautiful by the way this is the 3rd set of furniture!!!! Put a dent in the hallway ceiling too

I have called 3 times since at the three week mark asking for an ETA. 1st customer service said it was within their allotted time, no ETA, no further information. Called again at 4 weeks, left message no return call. Again two days later was told another 2 to 4 weeks. Asked for some sort of compensation for this inconvenience and was told two weeks ago I would be called. At this point I feel like I've been robbed! No communication, no apologies. Im now very concerned about the quality of my items as well as the warranty attached to the product. Its giving used car salesmen vibes at the moment, hopefully they come through!

I ordered online. Was given a delivery date called to find out what time to expect the delivery. The. Was told that they couldn’t deliver on the date they gave me. Instead I have to wait a week after the date. I will never order anything from them again. Update They sent 2 emails with 2 different dates of delivery. If you send emails with delivery dates people plan on those being delivered on those days

Bought a couch set less than 2 years ago, spent over $2000 on it and bought 5 year insurance plan on them. Couch is sagging because cushions are only held up by black netting/fabric and that fabric is ripping away from the bars it's stapled onto. Technician came out, stated they could fix it but it will rip again within 2 years because it's made poorly. Called the Montage Insurance and that representative stated that yes, the netting holding up cushions is a poorly made design and will rip again but they'll fix it again. Was then told by another representative, actually, once they replace a part then it is exempt from the rest of the 5 year plan and cannot be replaced again, even if it breaks again (which I have been told it will by technician and other Montage representative). Will NEVER by another piece of cheaply made furniture from Ashley Homestore ever again. My American Freight furniture lasted longer than this hunk of junk.

The instore service was fine, and our furniture looks good. But the extended warranty we purchased didn't even cover our chair when the padding was gone in part of the arm in less than 2 years. We will not be making any future purchases at this store.

I purchased a couch from Kalamazoo's Ashley Furniture on September 4th, 2022. I was helped around the store a week prior by a salesman named Sam, who was very helpful and pleasant. When I returned on 9/4/23 to purchase a couch, Sam was helpful yet again. On the day of purchase, I was told that 3 of the 4 pieces of my couch would take 6-8 weeks, and the 4th would take about 3 months. It is January 26th, and I still have no couch. I waited until about mid-October to reach out about the couch since I had not heard much, and was told that the 3 pieces would now be a few weeks longer. I was annoyed, but thought nothing past that. I believe I was told mid-November, but this was so long ago it's hard to recall. Since mid-November, I've basically been playing phone-tag with Ashley Furniture. Every week, I was told delivery was pushed back another week. At one point in early December, I was told the couch would be delivered by the end of December. When I called back mid-December, they denied promising me delivery and said it would be beginning to mid-January. On Monday, January 23rd, I was finally called to set up a delivery time. They told me they could do Thursday, January 26th. I am a teacher, and get home (at the earliest) 4pm every day. I said I could do Thursday after 4, but I was informed there would be no delivery window, just an entire day scheduled. I understand needing a larger window for delivery, but it felt a bit absurd that I couldn't receive any time frame...especially for how long I've been strung along by this situation. We scheduled delivery for February 4th, 2023 (over 21 weeks since the purchase of the couch). As I mentioned, I'm a teacher, and got a snow day Wednesday January 25th and Thursday, January 26th (the day I'm writing this review). Twice on Wednesday (and left a message), saying if there's any possibility I could do a last-minute delivery. Today, January 26th, I called the store 14 times over the span of almost 4 hours (and left a message at around 11 am). I thought I could call today when they open, and offer a last minute delivery, since this was the original day they suggested. I would have been okay with a no, since there's probably a lot of other factors that go into furniture delivery. At some point in all of this, I was offered compensation for my extended wait. I have brought this up a handful of times, and have received no follow-through with what that even looks like. This has been an exceedingly frustrating situation. After reading reviews about this store today, I should have known better. I have been told that this was all because of a new warehouse. I'm not sure why a new warehouse would cause a furniture purchase to go from 6-8 weeks to 21+ weeks. I am hoping compensation is not a gift card to Ashley Furniture, because I am not interested in shopping here again.

No stars. Horrible customer service. Paid for the warranty repair on our chair. Took 6 months to get it fixed and when they repaired it they put on the wrong color and material, now our new chair has one arm different from the rest. Ashley says they will not make it right. So disappointing. Would not recommend them to anyone. 1/18/23 update: still no response from customer service. Ashley commented some one would contact me ASAP. That was 4 days ago. Again bad customer service.

Bought a premium new loveseat from the Ashley home store in Kalamazoo. Had an issue 3 months after buying it where the cushion broke down they came out re-stuffed the cushion 3 months later it broke down again 3 months. After that they replaced that section of the loveseat. 3 months later it broke down again. This unit is less than a year old still under there one year manufacture warranty and they will not take care of the problem. They won't warranty it. I don't know what the problem is but I would never buy anything from the store again or their customers or service department. It's terrible

So the sales staff is very helpful and nice but the deliver time quoted is terrible. We were told 3-5 weeks verbally on our living room set although the paperwork said 4-6 weeks, NBD. But we are now going on 8 weeks and every time I call I get a straight up guess on delivery. First it was between Christmas and news years, no go. Then it was the first week of January, nothing. Now it's some time mid January? But is it? Our family Christmas is tomorrow and I really wanted our new set to fit everyone. Disappointed

Ever been to Caesar’s Palace in Vegas? The casino who whisks you in on a people mover, then after they get your $$, you have to leave under your own foot power? This is that place. Ordered a sofa end of October. Still waiting. Was originally told 3-5 weeks. 5 weeks in I call to check on it & confirm dimensions. They gave me dimensions: they didn’t match what I ordered. I was told they would confer with my salesperson & get back to me. 6 days later- nothing. I call & the phone rings for almost 5 minutes before going to voicemail. I leave a msg stating if no response from them in 24 hours, I’m canceling the order. They call next day & tell me I need to come in for a “re-select appointment”. I drive over the next weekend from Battle Creek. When I meet with my salesperson, he’s perplexed over why I’m there. I tell him. He measures the floor model & says I was (merely) “given the wrong dimensions when I called”. The young woman at the desk tells me I can look for my sofa the “end of December, first week of January.” Here I sit on December 31st, still waiting for this sofa, with zero communication from them. Would give zero stars, if possible.

Bought a couch, paid for it, nine weeks later no couch, no word, nothing. They're real nice until they have your money and then they no longer care about you at all. Terrible experience. - And I did call and I did ask that this comment reach the store manager and still nothing. No idea when my couch will arrive. No contact back from the store. I shouldn’t have to make a special call to the store manager. I don’t think it’s asking too much for the salespeople to keep track of whether or not customers receive their orders. And if it’s going to be late, a simple pro-active call would be nice to know I’ve not been forgotten. I’m not asking for anything other than some common courtesy.

I am beyond words when it comes to Ashley furniture store and their customer service. They continue to lie straight to your face acting like they will solve the problem at hand and never do. I was told 5 weeks for an ottoman… it’s been 8 and still waiting. When me and my husband have called to check up on our item we get nothing but attitude, clearly they’re used to dealing with people being disappointed. We FINALLY got a delivery time and it was confirmed the day before and just got a call saying the driver called in and will be delayed another week. Instead of prioritizing those that had to be moved we are treated like garbage and expected to wait even longer. We have been told multiple times a manager will contact us for the issue and still have yet to hear from anyone.. totally disgusted and will never shop at Ashley ever again.

After we decided to finance our furniture $2400 we called to see how shipping was going because we were in a brand new house with no furniture whatsoever the lady that I called to the front said well you are in your 6 week. So it will be within 6 weeks and basically hung about me she was rude she gave me no other insight I could not get ahold of anybody at the warehouse so I had no idea when my furniture would be coming I decided at that point in time I was to cancel my order. Two weeks later I still do not have my deposit back which they told me I had to come get when I got there they said o it was cash we will mail it waste of my time and gas and they still have not mailed it when I call I get no insight where my money is

Be wary of the quality/durability of furniture and the warranty coverage. I purchased a sofa and loveseat plus the warranties for each. After the couches fabric started getting scratched within days of getting them, I contacted customer services and was told they didn't cover the damages (though it was specifically called out in the paperwork I saved as "covered") I went to the store in person and was told it should be covered and they would contact me in a couple days with a solution. I've reached out several times and keep being told someone will reach out soon. I've been blown off, lied to, and passed around the warranty company since September. Given the fact we spent ~$6000 on the sofa's I would have expect some level of competency. *EDIT to the below comment* The store and the warranty company have repeatedly asked for the same information (which I have provided) and then will say someone will reach out. No one ever does. The reply below says they’ll “call shortly.” Guess who never got a call - AGAIN. *Follow up 5 months later* The store is working with us to come to a resolution.

Story was too long so here is the short version. Purchased furniture last November told 3-6 months. Last of furniture was supposed to be delivered Sept. 10th (8.5ish months later) but bed and one drawer arrived broken. The business development center talked to us, after we called, the following Monday and then ignored calls and emails for two weeks. Finally got an update after talking to someone in the store who pressured them I believe. Got our bed October 5th. The drawer was sent to our house with side rails off and no handles on October 11th. Left another voicemail (12th) and email (25th) with Business development center and still no response. Called the store and they sent an email to this same group and said they have 72 hours to respond to us. We have received some compensation for our troubles but being ignored repeatedly doesn't feel great. Still working to resolve this. The people in the store and the delivery team are great. My grip is with the customer service after making a purchase.

I went into Ashley thinking I knew what mattress I wanted purely based off something I thought sounded good. Thankfully, my husband and I worked with an employee named Jacob B who found us a mattress that fit perfect for the sleep that we need! Jacob took into consideration the mattress I had in mind, but also showed us mattresses that would fit best for our sleep style. (I had no idea so much went into finding what mattress releases certain areas of pressure in the body before talking with him!) Jacob gave us amazing customer service! I never felt like he was trying to push something on us or make us buy the biggest and best thing, but instead felt like he truly want my husband and I to get the bed that WORKED for us. I am so grateful for this experience and will 100% be returning for any other furniture need!

I stopped in to Ashley this evening just to look at some furniture and get some ideas for our bedroom. I was texting pictures to my husband when Alex stopped and asked if I had any questions. We had already decided what we liked through texting so the hard part was over. Alex answered a few questions and got pricing, showed me some mattresses and then we sat down to look at financing. I said I hoped I wasn’t keeping him over at all. He indicated they were indeed closed but it didn’t matter. Looking around there were quite a few associates still there and one other family. It didn’t matter to Alex or the team. They were all kind and patient about it. I apologized for running them past end of day and they all seemed genuine in it being “not a problem”. Alex and team were great to work with. We will definitely be back and will be letting Alex know when we do! Thank you all for your great customer service today!

We were shopping for recliners and decided to check out Ashley Furniture. Sam was the salesman who helped us. He was very knowledgeable and was not pushy. He was very helpful with finding a pet friendly fabric and getting us a good deal.

Ordered a coffee table and waited over 8 months for my order to arrive. Within those 8 months the website showed you would receive the same table anywhere from 4-6 weeks if you were to order it. I received multiple emails stating I was within weeks of delivery and when that week would come I would receive another email saying my item was pushed back another month. This continued to happen throughout the 8 months. Frustrated I contacted Jay (my salesman) at the Kalamazoo store. Jay promised they would adjust my order total but had to wait for the item to arrive. After a long wait my coffee table arrived. It came with broken knobs. I went back into the store hoping to speak with Jay unfortunately he was not there. Instead I spoke with a manager. The Manager told me Jay shouldn't of made a promise to adjust my total because that is not something they do. He also attempted to charge me for the broken parts to be ordered as a replacement. It has been roughly 6 weeks and I still have not received the replacement parts or have been contacted by the manager as he said to me he would follow up and reach out to me. Please be aware while shopping here.

Furniture we sat in had defects already. If it cant hold up to customers just sitting to test it, it wont take normal.wear and tear in our house. Prices were middle of the road. We bought an oversized sectional, 2 end tables and a coffee table in August. Over $5000 in furniture... as of Monday we still had not received our coffee table. 4 times we called and were given different delivery dates. Monday we were told we wouldn't get it until July! Are you kidding me!? The female that we spoke with on the phone was rude and condescending and was no help. We asked for a refund on the coffee table and left a message with HR regarding the poor customer service. Never again Ashely Home!! Terrible customer service, TERRIBLE!!!

Had a great experience picking out and buying new living room furniture. I normally hate walking in to furniture stores as the salespeople often swim around you like sharks. I visited the Kalamazoo store with my family as a last chance to find kitchen chairs without buying a set. Great selection, no pushy sales people nice atmosphere and real and fair pricing. ( Not suggested retail $10,000 but today only $1000) Pricing is at least 20% below other comparable stores in Kalamazoo ie Bob’s Lazy Boy. I then got 20% off. They also provide additional benefits for veterans (free delivery). This is the best retail experience I have had in 20 years. No wonder Shark Van Furniture went out of business.

I have bought furniture here twice, I am not sure how the other sales people are but Jay is awesome. Both my wife and I were impressed by his knowledge of the furniture and his no pressure sale. My 19 year old son meet him for 10 seconds and said “I like that guy he didn’t seem like a salesman”. If the other sales people are 1/2 as good as Jay you will enjoy your shopping experience at Ashley.

We had a line of credit after returning a bed earlier this year. Today we made an appt with Frank to go in and look for a sectional sofa. Frank went above and beyond to help us spend that money and did every thing he could do get the price down as close as possible to our credit price. We appreciate you Frank.

I will never do business with this company again. We purchased a floor model as is. When we picked it up the employee that was carrying out the table was in a hurry and ended up dragging table, which ended up digging the table. I have called many time to get help so the company can fix it, I keep getting the run around. One manager to another, then we get a called that they will call when they are on their way to fix the table after getting on them for over month. No one had called.

I checked 4 different furniture stores, when looking for a new couch, and decided to purchase from Ashley. There were sufficient options of the type of couch I wanted, and at a decent price for decent quality. Our salesperson, Frank S, was good to work with-- polite, engaging, and able to listen to what I wanted, as well as make helpful suggestions. He helped turn the furniture over. So my husband could inspect its build/structure, and answered multiple other concerns. I liked that the 5 year warranty would be in place even were the store to close ( that's not anticipated!). I could wish for more color choices, but colors in bland or black/gray/white tones seem to be the trend currently. Overall, a professional feel to the experience, without the really high-end prices 🙂

We moved into our new house today and our older dresser broke while we were preparing it to move. We went to a couple of furniture stores before stopping at Ashley and weren't happy with anything we were seeing, either we didn't like how it looked or didn't feel it had the value for the price they were asking. When we arrive at Ashley Jay met us at the door, smiling and friendly. He was beyond wonderful and helped us find the perfect dresser without making us feel pressured. Because of Jay, Ashley Home Store will be our first stop when we need new furniture in the future.

Jay did an excellent job of showing my husband and me different sofas and explaining the differences in quality. He was very knowledgeable about Ashley products and was able to answer all of our questions. We will highly recommend him to our family and friends who are in need of new furniture.

Idk. I really liked the couch I chose and I understand that since Covid things have been hard BUT I order my couch in MAY and was told 3-4 months. It’s September. Everytime I call for an update the dates get pushed back. Now I’m looking into late October or late November. It’s just annoying. Living room has been without a couch and I was hoping to get it before fall semester started. I just want my couch already! I almost just canceled but I waited this long already.

Everyone working was helpful in finding the couch that fit us perfectly.

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful experience as first time buyers for a recliner, and our first time in this store! David helped us find our perfect match, and he did everything he could to help us buy one and leave with one. With the supply low and the demand high, it is very hard to find any piece of furniture to leave with in the same trip. However, David was outstandingly exceptional, and we will for sure be back for any of our other furniture needs! Thank you David!

I was excited to see Ashley Home Store in Kalamazoo. I am well of aware of this companies furnishings (have several pieces-still, decades later). Jay's greeting came across quite genuine and that was refreshing to me. He assisted me but wasn't over-bearing. I went in there to gather ideas for furnishing my home and my business. Jay was there to answer my questions and help narrow my search (loved it). I left making a small purchase but have every intention on going back to finish what I started. Side note: going above and beyond now a days seems archaic but happily I'd like to say not these folks. I unknowingly created a small situation for myself which could have resulted in damaging my purchase. The owner over heard and stepped in, saving the day! Truly grateful.

Nate was by far one of the best salesman I have encountered at a furniture store. He was the perfect balance of helpful without "hovering" over us while we shopped like some sales reps do. With COVID and stock running low everywhere, I decided to research local inventory for my new furniture. Most of us know that customer service isn't what it used to be. I was concerned about inventory and shipping timelines because I'm moving. I was fortunate to receive assistance from Mark Heuser at Ashley Furniture. I started out a bit apprehensive but Mark put my fears to rest. After getting to know my taste and what my goals were, he made the process straightforward and actually enjoyable, while still staying professional. I do not hesitate to recommend Mark Heuser or Ashley Furniture to my friends and family.

We are moving to a larger house, and need new furniture. After looking at several local furniture stores, and some online retailers, my husband and I chose Ashley HomeStore to select our new pieces. Upon arrival we were greeted with a (masked) smile, and introduced to Frank. He was our personal shopping expert. He listened to what we needed, and taught us the features of their furniture along the way. We did not feel pressured into making any decisions, he gave us space to look around ourselves, but checked in often to help along the way. We have purchased a dining table and chairs, a bed frame with matching night stands, and a three piece living room set. My husband and I enjoyed our shopping experience with Frank, and we are looking forward to the arrival of our new furniture!

Jay is great! He helped my fiancé and I pick out the perfect mattress. We knew we wanted something nice but didn’t know which brand to go with. Jay had us try multiple mattresses and showed us all the features. Jay was nice, funny and very knowledgeable. We ordered furniture from Ashley Homestore in January and were told our estimated delivery would be 12-16 weeks, which we understand because of Covid and everything being backed up. Our delivery showed up the first week of April but they did not have everything we ordered. When we called the store to let them know we were told it would be 2 more weeks before we’d get the rest of our furniture. 3 weeks went by and nothing, so I called to check on the status and am now being told it won’t be until the end of June before we receive the rest of our furniture. They are not honest with delivery times so if you order from this store be prepared to wait months for your furniture!
