My wife and I went in to look for a recliner and sofa to replace a 14 year old set. The store was well laid out and the sales staff gave us time to look around. Omari came over to answer questions once he saw we were set on something. He was kind and courteous and had all the information we needed. We made the purchase although both pieces are on back order. The furniture was so much more comfortable and high tech than what we were replacing. The new furniture has so many more features than we knew were possible. (Heat, massage, phone chargers, reading lights, etc). We are excited to get the new stuff ASAP.

You had exactly what I wanted ! Our sales person, Kvaughn , very thorough and fun to deal with. The store manager was a hoot and we did lots of laughing. Perfect experience

Bought a beautiful couch that just isn’t right for our home. A week after it was delivered, my fiance and I returned to the store for an exchange. (We need something smaller and a darker color.) we were told no exchanges (or refunds - which we weren’t asking for) and we were out of luck. Disappointed with the lack of compassion and communication on the stores part and won’t be making any future purchases.

I feel fooled by the store. The sellers are soooo good that they make you buy the best stuff and walk out the store happy. I bought a 6k mattress plus base and I realized I had to use it over 6 months to adapt my body to it, it was definitely not the same mattress I try at the store, they say, the mattress should be soften by the first use. The only option they give is to have an even more expensive one. Definitely I won't purchase something again in any of these stores.

Stopped in today to find a pair of nightstands. We had size restrictions and specific styling we were looking for. We were impressed by the assistance from both Kvaughn & the manager, Paul. We were able to find a pair we love the look of, are the correct size & are a higher quality product than what we were able to find at the other three stores we stopped at before going to Ashley’s. The price for the quality was good plus was able to get some $ off from a promotion happening. Also available to pick up today! Overall very satisfied & we will be back in the future to see Kvaughn & Paul when we are buying other furniture!

From the start Omari was great at the store helping me with purchase. He was very personable, listening intently, and making the whole process seamlessly. As for the delivery Alfonso and his Partner were great fast professional and very pleasant. I would recommend this location to family and friends!!!! My couch was ordered Black Friday. And they told me it would be a week till delivery . 4 weeks later and I still haven’t received it. They keep pushing back the date over and over again. So we’ve been sitting in n the floor for 4 weeks. I rather have paid more money somewhere else to get same day delivery than this hassle. Delivery date is now the 20th if it’s not here by that date. I will be calling for a complete refund. So disappointed

I ordered furniture Thanksgiving weekend. Was told would all be delivered On December 16th. Then they tried to confirm delivery date for December 27, 38, and 29th. I needed it for the holiday with a house full of people coming over. They offered a $100 credit for my inconvenience. A lot of good that does with people coming for Christmas with no where to sit! Totally unacceptable! Will not be shopping here anymore!

The staff here are great. My issue is with Ashley overall. We ordered a dining server from there and the delivery (which we paid for) was pushed back so many times I was ready to cancel the order entirely. When it finally got delivered, weeks after it was originally supposed to come, the edge had a dent/chip in it. The delivery driver was very kind and reported it and also tried to fill it in. The dent/chip still shows which is so disappointing given how expensive it was. I don’t think I’ll shop from Ashley again.

Don’t come and waste your time

I've been calling for the past week to get ahold of the manager to remove a pending trasnaction on my ashley cc. This pending transaction has been there since July we are in December. I talked with the Manager Paul once and he said he would take care of it. That has not been the case. I've called everday for the past week to speak with him again because I've talked with the bank, the merchant the madison heights store must call the bank and clear this off my statement. Everytime I've called it's either he'll call you back in 30min and leave my information nothing has happened I haven't gotten a phone call back. Why is this so difficult? Paul said it was not a big deal because it's not gone through as it's pending however it is because I cannot use my card right now. So I don't understand you're basically losing a customer I would avoid doing business with this location. When speaking with a rep through the bank they had mentioned it was on the merchant to clear this wthin 7days of the original transaction and they did not so it seems very negligent on their part as a business. Also out of the several times I've called the employees started speaking over me as well and even mentioned it was not on them to fix it and call another number. No it's on the merchant so it sounds like employees here are not trained properly either.

Great store, the sales staff did not attack as soon as I entered. He let me know here was there and left me to shop. He was very helpful when I had questions and bent over backwards to help with the pricing. His name was Savion Ross, what personable young man. I would highly recommed this store, wonderful experience.

I bought couches from Ashley's on Nov. 8th, 2025. I was told by the 'Sleep Master' Javon Hill (Jay) that my furniture would be here 4-6 weeks tops. I didn’t even have it delivered; I wanted to pick it up because I heard some bad reviews on their own delivery services. My husband and I have been patient for weeks exactly and still no updates about our furniture. We decided to call and see what’s going on, why we have not received or heard anything about our furniture. We called customer service, which is literally the only phone number they have available to customers. We called and were notified our furniture would not be arriving until after the holidays. I asked to speak with a manager and was placed on hold for almost two hours, only to be told 'no manager is available' before they disconnected the call. My husband and I called from both phones trying to get ahold of a manager or somebody who could address this issue and give us some sort of help. We have been getting placed on hold, and being told they will call us back. We have gone a week with customer service and managers that are just going back and forth with no resolution to the issue. Finally, we decided to call the salesman Javon Hill (Jay) on a phone number he provided us if we ran into any trouble. Well, we both called the number and were notified that the number was incorrect. We called customer service again and have been getting told the same thing over and over. My husband and I are frustrated and don’t know what else to do. The holidays are right around the corner, and we’re still without furniture. Very unprofessional and poorly managed.

They promised us everything while we were purchasing the product. I bought a couch from Ashley less than a year ago. The couch has a stain, and when we purchased it, the sales representative assured us that if we bought the protection plan, all stains would be covered. However, after only seven months, when I filed a claim for a simple stain clean-up, it was denied immediately. I don’t understand why we were charged an extra $500 for a protection plan that was heavily promoted with promises of stain removal, yet those promises are not being honored. If Ashley is not willing to fulfill what was promised at the time of purchase, then why sell the protection plan in the first place?

Once again, I experienced a "good" sales experience. This time with my "repeat" salesman Omari Kern conducting this sale with his manager Paul nearby. The presence of Paul made me feel completely comfortable with our sales encounter. I was there with an intentional sales advertisement that lured me to the store. Paul standing by assured I was getting the BEST possible deal, even if Omari was questioning terms I was referencing. Overall, it went well. Now I await the exact delivery of my purchase and will provide another feedback of its encounter.

Kvaughn seemed to be a nice salesperson but in the end he uses sales tricks to make more commission. The couch he sold us when we got home was actually $200 cheaper than what he wanted to charge us and then told me he could get us the warranty plan for $110. When in actually he subtracted the savings off the cost off the couch and applied it to the warranty plan. He charged us $849.99 for the love seat and $279.99 for the protection plan. Plus he wanted to charge us $170 for delivery. I went online and saw that I could actually get the couch for $799.99 and protection for $199.99. Also delivery is FREE online!!! I cancelled my order right away and instead purchased online. Shady sales people at this store, just order online before you get ripped off.

Shopping here felt as if I was on a hidden camera prank show or something. Who on earth is training these employees to treat customers as if it were a used car sales lot in 1989? Are you kidding me? Following customers around the store trying to pressure them into buying things they aren’t remotely interested in? I’m looking forward to seeing what business occupies this space when this place closes; which will be soon. It’s 2025. No one has time for your BS.

The best sofa I ever had was from Ashley, the worst is the one I have now. So, I went to Ashley in Madison Heights Michigan and was assisted by Mr. Ross. He was very polite, helpful, professional and no high pressure. I purchased a sofa sleeper and love seat. He helped me through the financing approval process and made it so effortless. Great experience all the way around.

Michael Zaremksi was my sales associate. He did an amazing job! I ordered my furniture a few days ago and noticed a price difference online. I went into the store and asked for the online pricing. There was no problem at all. Then he helped me exchange a chair from the one i order to a different one. I had until 2 days before the delivery to change anything. They were very helpful with fabric and color choices. Also very patient! Once it is delivered the are no returns. Im happy I went back into the store.

On10/27/2025 I put $200.00 cash, Layaway, on a sofa at the Ashley Furniture, Madison.Heights MI., location. On 11/07/2025, I went to pay the remaining balance on the sofa, at the same location. I was informed by Mr. Nate Williams, acting manager, that I had NO SOFA. I was further informed that I could not receive my down payment, or cancelation receipt for 3 weeks! I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY ANYONE AT ASHLEY!!. I HAVE NO SOFA, NOR MONEY! TODAY IS NOVEMBER 21,2025. WHAT IS GOING ON AT ASHLEY FURNITURE??? TOTAL DISRESPECT TO ME!!!

The place is great , clean environment!

Absolutely unacceptable. This company sent two clearly ill delivery men one of whom vomited on my front lawn, while the other collapsed over my new furniture in the backyard. They were visibly unwell, likely with the stomach flu or another virus, and should never have been dispatched for in-home delivery, especially not under a “white glove” service. Their so-called premium delivery consisted of throwing my furniture into a corner, on its side, damaging it in the process. My father-in-law, understandably disturbed, signed the delivery slip just to get them out of the house. We have two young children who were terrified by what they witnessed. The entire situation was beyond unprofessional it was hazardous and traumatic. When I contacted the store directly, I was told there was “nothing they could do” and was redirected to an 800 number. After waiting on hold for over an hour, the supervisor Adam informed me that the company has a strict no-return policy once an item is delivered regardless of condition or circumstance. What kind of business operates like this? Even a basic online retailer would have handled this with more care and responsibility. BUYER BEWARE.

The absolute worst furniture buying and owning experience I could have ever imagined. Last year in early September I ordered one of the black chaises to compliment my living room. From then until now I have had nothing but problems quality and customer service related regarding this chaise. Within the first month that it was delivered and being used regularly the chaise began to sag in the middle accompanied with creaking sounds. Upon activating the warranty and waiting a few weeks to receive a solution it was decided that they would continue with an exchange. The chaise they exchanged the other one with had the same exact problem within two months. I started up another ticket February 5th and the conclusion was that a part was supposed to be sent out and arrive within a few weeks. 2 months passed and I still regularly asked for updates but received nothing. Now many more months later here we are in late August going on September with a thousand dollar broken chaise and still no part after constant efforts (calls and emails) to contact customer service regarding the part that was supposed to have been sent. I wouldn't recommend Ashley to anyone after this experience. Their quality to price ratio is beyond flagrant paired with absent customer service. Buy elsewhere.

We have been looking for an odd sized kitchen table and went to a few other places before we went here. They have a lot of different options, which was amazing! Micheal Z was super nice and helped us out! He said he was new, but we didn’t mind waiting while he learned (John on the other hand could learn some patience have a better attitude..) Edit: I wanted to buy a new chair, but unfortunately there is a pending transaction left on my credit card from this store from July (it's December). The credit card company told me that it is an issue with the merchant and that they have to remove the pending transaction. This store refuses to contact the credit card company (their own credit card) to clear up this issue. They insist that it is our issue despite the credit card company clearly starting that it is a merchant issue. I would recommend checking out the furniture in the store, but then ordering online or going some place else to purchase Old Review: Had a great experience. Kvaughn helped us through the whole process and answered all questions we had. Will be returning if we have anymore furniture needs.

The delivery service was great. The issue was my delivery time kept getting pushed back which interfered with my evening plans.

I have never been disappointed with Ashley home store I have been shopping with Ashley since 2010 the furniture is quality and it does not disappoint Up hole There warranties And I never had a disappointment service. I will always shop with Ashley home store for all of my home store needs. I have tables bed, coffee tables. I also have a delivery coming tomorrow table and four chairs and A seating bench for my bed that has storage. I am so happy for this purchase.

I went to Ashley to buy a sofa with my brother and we were helped by Washaka Mahdi who went above and beyond to find us the perfect sofa. Even the manager came and brought us water and gave us all the time to decide which sofa was just right. We had a great experience and are very happy with the sofa we purchased at a very fair price and quick delivery.

I had a terrible experience with Ashley Furniture. I was told my couch would arrive in a week. After waiting three weeks I was told they would need a other week to update me. At this point I requested a refund. I was working with Mohamed and he told me I had to come in to the store for a refund to talk to a manager but when I got there the sales associate said that was not the case. Just a waste of my time and gas. I was happy I found another couch, shipped in less than a week from Wayfair.

We were met immediately by an associate which was very helpful and patient. We bought 2 chairs and plan to back for mor items.

I purchased an ottoman in Feb/March of this year at the Hall rd location along with the 3 year extended warranty, after only 2 or 3 months one of the seams ripped, clearly a problem having a seam 3 inches long with stuffing showing. I made a claim with extended warranty they said I had to use manufacturer warranty since still under their policy, the manufacturer warranty sent me an email that someone had to come to the home to inspect the furniture and they never showed up, i waited all day! I called and they said my claim was denied, no apologies for the no show, and will not say why, if a rip right in a seam is not covered I don’t know what is, I am very disappointed in Ashley furniture and will never go back and will be sure to tell everyone I know this company does not stand behind their products and provides a crappy product and customer service. Buyer beware if u shop here, not recommended.

All around terrible experience. Sales rep did not communicate very important details and even completely misrepresented how the protection plan worked - TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH. If we had known that there was a zero-return policy unless you got the delivery service, we would not have skipped the delivery service. The condition of the couch does not matter, they just don't accept them at all. Also there is no way to properly inspect the couch upon receiving because everything is wrapped in plastic, so even if there was damage from the warehouse, you have to sign off before seeing it. We were also told that the protection plan was refundable if unused for 5 years, however I am now finding out that it is actually STORE CREDIT with a time limit. TOTAL false advertising. If we had known THAT, I DEFINITELY would not have purchased the protection plan. Now I have a couch that won't fit in my apartment that I can't return, and a protection plan that can do nothing to help remedy this. And even after the 5 years are up, I won't be able to get that plan money back in any meaningful capacity like I was promised. DO NOT make the mistake of shopping here unless you enjoy setting money on fire. EDIT: After digging into it myself, I was able to find that protection plans can be refunded in full within 30 days, so if you are in a similar situation I would highly suggest doing that. Store managers are not able to fulfill it despite what the policy says (it seems that the store managers are generally powerless at this retailer) but there is a number you can call/text to initiate that process. Even after 30 days if no claims were made you can still get a refund minus a processing fee. (Also I'm almost certain the "responses" below each review as seen here are AI generated - mine came through less than 20 mins after posting on a Sunday night...)

Prompt service when I entered. Offered demonstration of workings of the sofa bed I was interested in. Found the one I had seen online. Helped order it and secure the delivery date of my choice. Explained the protection plan in detail and provided written brochures. Review of order by store manager. Very satisfactory in store experience.

Horrible “protection plan” stay away!!

Ashley furniture is a rip-off!! Very poor customer service and liars. BEWARE OF THE PROTECTION PLAN!! They use 3rd party services for this that tell you when you try to use the service you PAID for, they can't even clean the furniture you bought from Ashley Furniture!! I highly suggest going elsewhere for any furniture needs!!

At the beginning the manager wasn’t good in helping me for at least the four days then , the only person who helped me and solve my problem her name Kara or Kayla (she is black ) she was so helpful, professional and nice to me.

I had to rate it a 1, however it should be a negative number. Ashley is a JOKE. Kimberlyn Fortino wrote a review regarding how awful our experience has been trying to get our sofa fixed. We have not be able to resolve this matter for 4 months now and it is still not resolved. However the reply she got was from store owner and they apologized and left a number to call. The number was to customer service, that is exactly who we have been dealing with. It is just a JOKE company, please be very cautious when dealing with Ashley Furniture.

I had to pick 1, but the product and service is well below 0. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Ashley Furniture. We purchased sofa and it was delivered in January. After a week the sofa was defective. Since then, we have been struggling to get a resolution. Our ordeal began a month after receiving the sofa. Despite numerous calls with customer service, nothing has been resolved. The lack of communication has been particularly frustrating. We've been promised callbacks that never happened, and we were scheduled for service visits that didn't occur. To make matters worse, the first claim we filed was lost, forcing us to fill out another one. We have spoken to several representatives and even went back to the store, we bought the sofa from, and spoke to a manager that basically said it is what it is. Madison Heights, Mi. It seems like no one takes out concerns seriously. It feels like we are being ignored, and our issues have been brushed off. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered, and I would caution anyone considering purchasing from Ashley Furniture. We started the 2nd claim on March 2nd, and not one thing has been resolved. I expect a call back from management. Order number is 076F080807 and the ticket number is 102428

The aesthetics of their pieces are great but don't let that fool you, the quality is abysmal. We bought our couch less than a year ago and it's gotten so uncomfortable. I hate it so much! The service is terrible. They either ignore you or pressure you the whole time.

These 5 stars are not for Ashley Furniture. They are for Evan Olden. I can not speak about his sales techniques but I can speak for how he treats his customers and assists with their questions and needs. He didn't have to sell me on anything. He could be the worst sales person ever but is perfect for me because I didn't go there to be "sold". He did everything right! He pointed me in the direction of the couches I was looking for and helped me customize the couches in question to gather measurements and prices. Not everyone wants to deal with quotes and question so it meant a lot to me. I'm not sure if I'd have bought a couch if I was dealing with anyone else. He appreciated my sense of humor and that speaks volumes for me. On the other side of this review.... Ashley Furniture had the selection I was looking for that I wasn't able to find on Gardner Whites website. I went to Ashley first. Go and talk to Evan if you need any furniture or mattresses!

Worst customer service ever! They sold me two clearly damaged lamps and they wouldn’t take it back. I will never buy a single item from that store.

Really like how you are not hounded as soon as you walk in. After a couple minutes, you are greeted and then just checked in on periodically to see how you are doing. Very refreshing from other furniture stores where you are followed around endlessly by a sales person. Thank you Omari for great customer service! They also have really nice selection!

Ordered frame slats. Parts missing. Call center was painful to talk to. Still waiting to hear back from store on getting the missing parts. Simple solution. Open another box, take the parts out of it that are missing from my order and give them to me. Don't require me to box up the old order, lug it to your distribution center and lug a new box back to my house. NOT CONVIENANT!!

Omari greeted me at the door, was personable and helpful. He walked me through the store helping me find exactly what I was looking for. He was helpful not pushy, and patient and kind while I moved from one item to another. We covered what seemed like every square inch of the store and he stayed with me suggesting ideas, moving pillows around for color ideas while never showing frustration or impatience. He explained every promotion and special offer available to me with my purchase. Omari has a great personality for sales. Ashley is lucky to have him.

Went in to inquire about a dresser and nightstand, didn’t like it as much in-person. Mattie was a true delight, she helped me in looking for other options and answering any questions I had. Ended up purchasing two tables of the floor at a discounted price. So glad I went there; and thankful for Mattie’s help 🙂.

what an amazing experience it was entering the Ashley furniture store on John Road. Prior to making our visit to the store we had a phone conversation with Brisa . We inquired about particular merchandise. Not only was she informative, kind, and extremely helpful , but pleasant too. . The store was very handsomely dressed out. We met up with Brisa. She spent a lot of time with us. She was helpful and very knowledgeable about the store’s merchandise. It was an amazing experience. I had an absolutely terrible experience with Ashley Furniture Store. I ordered a dresser with a mirror, and it took them a full month to deliver it—already far longer than acceptable. When it finally arrived, the mirror was shattered. I contacted them for a replacement, and after another agonizing month and a half, they delivered a second mirror—also broken! Two deliveries, two broken mirrors, and way too much wasted time. To top it off, when I called customer service to resolve this mess, the representative was rude, unprofessional, and completely unhelpful. It’s clear that Ashley Furniture doesn’t care about quality or their customers. Avoid this store at all costs—unless you enjoy frustration and disappointment!

I purchased a sofa on 2/8 and was told it would be 1-2 weeks for delivery. I called customer service and was told it was scheduled for the 12th. I called on the 12th and was told the order was canceled because the delivery address doesn't match even though that was intentional and ordered that way, and nobody bothered to contact me. Yet it's still showing financed on my Synchrony account so now I have to fight with over that. Stay far, far away.

I had a pleasant experience at Ashley Madison Heights store today. My salesman, Tredal Latham was polite and professional. in assisting me with purchasing a new chair, dresser and nightstand.The prices were fair and comparable with other furniture outlets. The furniture was of good quality. I will shop at this store in the future.

DONT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE! We bought an accent table and specifically asked about the return policy before hand. The sales person told us we had 72 hours to return it. We got it home and found out it would not work for what we wanted, when we attempted to return it we we not allowed to do so and were told all sales are final. When we asked the associates about it she said that was my mistake and admitted to giving us wrong information. So now we are out the money for the accent table and are stuck with it. We would not have purchased it if we knew we could not return it. This is a bogus way of doing business and they have definitely lost a customer. Don't buy from here!! UPDATE! Called the number from the "owners" response and they were no help what so ever. I was just told sorry all sales were final even though they messed up. This place is absolutely useless and I still Do NOT recommend shopping here.

Great deal on a chair today. My wife and I went to 5 stores today and found a great glide rocker for our house for 50% off. Saved $600 vs next lowest price item we were considering at another store. A lot of faux stuff in this store but a good overall selection and fair prices

Very disappointed in my purchase bedframe was damaged upon arrival .. they did not send me any foundation to support my my mattress very angry & im 8 months pregnant.. customer service informed that it was a clearance item thats no excuse for my bed to be damaged!!!!

We were looking for a sectionals that can be picked up in two days. Their warehouse is in Warren which is 10 minutes away so we could schedule a pick up in two days, instead of waiting weeks. Kyla helped us find the perfect sectionals and were really friendly and helpful.

Found a rocker recliner my daughter likes for the nursery that’s wonderful. However, we went in telling the sales clerk what we were looking for and don’t feel like we were heard. Said nursery and the clerk thought we said nursing home? Then she brought out a flyer about new mattresses that they are promoting. Um we told you rocker recliner not mattresses. Then I was asked 4-5 times if I wanted their 5 year warranty on the product. I actually had to tell her if I was asked one more time I’d leave not purchasing anything. One clerk started with us and we asked for space to look around. Then 5 min later we had another one following us. It was like a tag team wrestling match. Glad we found a chair but not sure I’d go back because of the high pressure selling. That’s NOT my cup of tea. Disappointed cause the furniture looks great.

Absolutely awful experience! Ashley delivered a damaged office table, and when they sent a replacement, it was also damaged. They rely on third-party sellers for delivery and repairs, and their customer service is useless.We bought this furniture during the Thanksgiving time .Now it's February.We spend hours talking to the customercare representative. No one has resolved the issue yet. When we visited the store to speak with a sales representative, we were told they couldn’t do anything once the product was sold. Seriously? So, their job is just to sell and take no responsibility? How can they run a business like this? They claim to be "America’s #1 furniture store"—what a joke! Shame on you, Ashley. Worst experience ever. Save yourself the frustration and buy elsewhere! Terrible return policy.So please everyone read their return policy.Bob furniture offers better quality products. The reply for this review is from chatbot and the phone number provided is Ashely useless customer service Update Today, the technician came in and unfortunately made the condition of the table even worse. He caused a new crack while attempting to fix it. An image is attached for your reference. He also painted over the cracked portion of the table, but it is still visible to anyone who looks at it. We do not want anyone to repair the crack; we request that the entire table top be replaced. We purchased brand new furniture and expected high-quality items, and we can not accept a cracked piece. Additionally, the technician caused another new crack during the repair. Another issue is that, without consulting us, the technician used a black L-clamp to fix the leg, which is now visible. It looks unprofessional, especially with a black clamp on a white table. We are completely disappointed. This is the third technician who has visited, and the problem remains unresolved. Please let us know how we can fix this issue or if we need to pursue a claim through court

My wife and I came in to buy a mattress. We settled on a Tempur-Pedic. We were quoted a certain monthly amount by the sales person who should have waited until communicating with financing to get accurate monthly amount. When it was time to close out the purchase the monthly payment increased and we were told the discount could not be applied to 60 month term. If you aren’t sure about the monthly amount in the beginning don’t throw out numbers. You lost a sale because of that. Be up front and transparent. Do better. There was a new salesman working there who was very nice. It wasn’t his fault. It was the other “sleep expert” employee.

Very professional and helpful

Absolutely detestable! I ordered a dresser and it came with manufacturer defects on it. Glue joints were coming undone, surfaces were not flush, there was a screw missing from one of the tracks for the drawers, and there was excessive glue in the seams of the joints. I was originally told that I could exchange the dresser for the same one or pick another piece to be delivered. Apparently that was incorrect because when the supervisor got on the phone, they mentioned that the dresser was only eligible for an even exchange. I did not want the dresser anymore. It was of poor quality and I was no longer interested. Considering the exchange was my only option, I had a second dresser delivered. This one also had the same defects on it!! Further, when the delivery drivers were moving the original dresser out of my house, they broke a leg off of it!!! I refused delivery of the second dresser and still have the broken one in my possession. I DO NOT WANT IT! I want a full refund but somehow that is too challenging for Ashley to complete. Apparently they don't have a return policy and can not issue a refund. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY! I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for further investigation. UPDATE: Customer Service does absolutely NOTHING!! Still waiting to hear back from the escalation department.

Terrible experience with this place, we ordered a dresser that was delivered defective. The material is cheap, there were missing pieces of hardware. We called to get a return started and they stated that they could only do an exchange- they are going to send us the same exact dresser (Which we no longer want). It is such a waste- we just want a return or at least an instore credit. Worst return policy ever. Never going back to this place. UPDATE: “new” dresser was delivered today, we checked it before it was even unloaded from the truck and the legs were crooked, dry glue hanging out. WHAT A JOKE! We refused delivery and were told customer service will call, they didn’t originally call so we will see. Also, the delivery men were nice enough to move the old dresser for us and the leg on the dresser snapped. Terrible quality, we will be fighting for our full refund.

This place is absolutely horrible. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to shop at this place. My wife and I bought a couch from them nearly two months ago. We had it returned because it didn't fit. The day of the return we went into the store and asked for a refund. A store associate helped us and told us to expect a refund in about 5 business days. About two weeks later, we go back to the store because we still had not seen the refund. This time, we spoke to our original salesman, Muhammad Alim, and another representative, Kiya. They told us that we could only receive in-store credit and not a refund. We asked why we weren't told this at the time of purchase, or even the last time we came in and asked for a refund? Her response was that the store manager, who was on the phone with her, was the one telling her this and it was out of her control. She also said she had only been with the company for two months. At this point, we asked her to have the store manager call us the next day to discuss. Funny enough, we never got a call. So, we called corporate and explained the situation. The person we talked to said they had no idea why the store employee would tell us such a thing as their policy is to issue refunds through the medium used at time of purchase. They told us to expect a refund within 5 business days. Five days came and went, and we called back. This time, they said they would issue the refund by the end of the week, which was two days away. We have finally received our refund, but it was such a needless process. The employees at this store are extremely manipulative or just downright don't understand their own company policies.

Since they keep messaging me to review my recent purchase without getting my stuff.. here ya go. Purchased the items 2 days ago, was told to call today to "make sure they were in stock" before we drove to the warehouse for pick up. Ordered 5 items, and wouldn't you know, the two right sides of our couches are now NOT in stock. The two left sides are and so is a console is in stock. How in the world does this make sense. You can't have a real sectional without both sides. Make it make sense. Monday 10 in stock, today none and they can't explain it. So now we have to wait over a month for something that we were supposed to get today. Completely unprofessional. No sorry, no apologies, no answers.

If I could give a negative star I would. I have been dealing with Ashley customer service for weeks now. The customer service over the phone is horrible. Firstly I spend almost 10k in buying furniture from this store. I didn’t get any of my orders on time and the one of the orders they sent the wrong item when I explained this they didn’t know the right item number and I had to go back to the store to get that information. The store is more than 40 minutes away. After that, I was Told that the order Would not be Exchanged after Thanksgiving and they randomly selected a delivery date without informing me. And then finally, when I get the item It was used. For all the inconvenience is, I was offered in store credit And I was told that it would be automatically added to my account. I did not, however, get the credit and they could not find the credit In store, when I tried to use it. After this, I called the customer service multiple times trying to see what I can do about the defective piece that was sent to me. And I am still to this date trying to Figure that out. I am very much disappointed in my experience with Ashley. I would not recommend anyone buy anything from the store.

Christina was efficient and strategic when looking for what I needed that could be delivered as soon as today that was in the warehouse. As a result, I did not have to wait for something to be ordered with a future delivery date.

Had a great black friday experience and our associate, Evan was a great help! We needed something simple and comfortable and conveyed that to Evan, who explained the sales, gave us suggestions on where to start and left us mosey around to explore. It's a shame I'm needing to write this review, in the end the manager did what I asked but it should never have been such a fight. I purchased 2 recliner sofas from Ashley as the first step in making changes in my home after my husband's passing. At the time of sale, I was encouraged to purchase 2 5-motor rechargeable batteries that would run the sofas. I had to buy one for each sofa since they were going to be across the room from each other. I made the purchase and took the batteries home that day to wait on the delivery. On the day of delivery the drivers were both polite and efficient and had the couches assembled quickly. I asked about the batteries and they took the unopened boxes from me to hook them up. One driver pulled the plastic off both boxes then tore (literally) one box apart opening it, pulled the battery out, told me I was missing a Y cable that was needed and handed me back the batteries. I expressed concern at having to hook things up on my own after delivery and they said I could call them back out for a delivery check. To this point I'm a little frustrated but I'm not upset, mistakes happen. Fast forward a little time and I go back to Ashley's to get the 2 Y cables and a dining room table. This is where things go from frustrating to really upsetting. Our sales associate locates the cables and I'm told I need not 2 Y cables but 6 to be able to run my couches, 3 for each couch. We've just tacked on an extra $100 to my $500+ batteries. At this point I'm done with the battery avenue, I let the salesperson know that I'm going to just return them and ask to speak to the manager to be sure there won't be a problem since the box was opened. I spent the next 40 minutes having to fight to be able to return batteries to the store that sold them to me because the store employee who delivered the couches opened the box. The manager was rude and condescending to me, she made very sure that I understood that my business meant nothing to Ashley Furniture. In the end she agreed to the return but clearly not because it was the right thing to do. I returned to the store and the transaction was completed, I did confirm the woman who I worked with was the store manager. I was surprised that they would elevate someone with so little customer service into that position. Needless to say I walked out the door and purchased my table from another store. My account with Ashley will be closed by EOW and I will not give my business to them again. Companies that are friendly and enthusiastic when they try to get your business and then shit on you when you need them to help you with a problem are not good companies.

I wish I could give a 0 star! BEWARE OF THIS STORE AND THEIR FURNITURE. Furniture was giving defective and they have refused to give me my money back. The quality of the furniture is so bad. If you don’t believe go on social media and look up the awful stories that were told dealing with their furniture and customer service. I wish I did, so I hope I am able to help others. Sales reps are just doing their job but be warned that they are trained to lie and leave important details out.

Dewayne and Evan at the Madison Heights store are amazing. They really may shopping experience great. I wasn't going to go back in there until Dwayne smiled and said come and let's find you what you need. I immediately found something that caught my eye and purchased it. It's smile and patient was what I needed at that moment so for that he gets my Gold Star for customer service. Evan very experience for what he does I was back and forth three times in one day and was getting upset about the back and forth they couldn't complete my purchase. They say three was the charmed I walked in to cancel my order and to go else where, there was Evan saying what's wrong I told him about what I was going through he sat down pulled up my order seen what the problem was fixed it I opened up an charge account got others things and was out the door in 30 minutes. I asked him why he wasn't the General Manager because he's most qualified. So he to gets a Gold Star!

I went to the Ashley store in Madison Heights, and had the pleasure of having a sales person named Natalie assist me. She went above and beyond in her helpfulness. She listened closely to what I needed for a couch to fit my living room space, the type of material and style that I wanted, and had helpful suggestions. I am very pleased with the purchase, and the service.

Sales and delivery were great. But warranty and purchased extended warranty were a terrible experience of virtual assistants and poor communication. Their warranty service is so frustrating it likely wears most customers out before their claims are resolved. I dont care to do business at Ashley Furniture in the future.

Don’t bother asking the sales associates any valid questions regarding quality of their couches, they don’t know. They have no idea any specifications of the products they sell. Very limited training. You’re better off shopping online or going to Gardner White.

Great experience! Very nice store. We were pleased with the selection of various furniture. Evan was amazing; he spent time explaining and helping us compare mattresses. There was no pressure and he didn't try to upsell anything. We left feeling satisfied and very happy with our purchase.

Today my wife and I came in to just look and see if Ashley Store Furinature could offer us what we might need as far as Living Room and our Bedroom as we just recently purchased a home. We were greeted by Dwyane with an amazing personality and great energy, after giving us more then enough time he came to check in on us after 15 minutes or so and we already were able to find some options. Dwyane was able to hone in on suggestions after speaking with my Wife and I on our ideas and seeing our original thoughts. Throughout the whole process Dwayne was expentionally knowledgeable (if he did not know an answer to our question he search for our answer or got additional help and was not afraid of doing that), professional and easy to talk to with no pressure to purchase. Overall I will recommend Ashley's to my friends and family, in addition send them to Dwyane! You have an excellent sales person there!

Had a bad experience at Ashley's Furniture.. I was at the store Thursday talk with a sale Rep. He stated how much and free delivery to my door. I agree. Check out another furniture store. Liked what I seen at Ashley's Furniture store. Went Back. Here today Friday. I stated to the sale lady The conversation I had with the person on Thursday . Supposed to be in free delivery. A manager came over He state It's gonna be a charge for delivery. He left the conversation Came back and stated anything over $699.00 It's free delivery. The young lady stated to me Friday Mohama didn't know what he was talking about and he's crazy!... Now I'm back in my car. Some has Training issues don't know what they're talking about. This is not a good store to shop at !!!

I got a Tempur- Pedic mattress from Ashley Madison Heights store and a Dinning set. I was told that i would get a adjustable base if i spent $1200 or more on a mattress, after i paid for the mattress and the adjustable base not being listed in the invoice i came back and inquired to which i was told its only for queen mattress not a king. Upon sharing my frustration and after prolong discussion they resolved the matter. However when i went the next day to shop for a bedroom set, the sales agent Tre Latham was extremely rude to me when i asked him a question about a bed set, he said i remember you from yesterday” and walked off. After giving the complaint to the manager Nate, he was dismissive of my complaint and made it sound as though it was my fault that the sales agent behaved that way with me, and he was implying he was not rude. I am very upset and disappointed with the behavior, i have never received customer service as bad as this ever, where sales agent hold grudge against you for a mistake they made. I will never go back to ashley again.

Nate was great and hooked me up with a good deal on a sofa I was looking to buy. Very laid back and personable and knew all the perks of the sofa I wanted. I'll be looking for him for any other furniture I want from Ashley's.

Nate from the Madison Hts location went above and beyond. I had ordered additional pieces from a different location and my order wasn’t processed correctly. I couldn’t get a hold of their store since they didn’t have a number listed since they recently opened, customer service was NO help and told me I had to call the store (also customer service didn’t even listen to what I was saying, just gave me their basic generic responses unrelated to what I was even saying). Nate was soo kind, he told me he was going to look into it and call me back. He called me back and told me exactly what I needed to do. He went above and beyond when he could have just sent me back to the store I got it from since it wasn’t even his problem to deal with. not for one second did he make me feel like an inconvenience. when I got to the location he worked at, not when knowing who I was he was the only person who got up to greet me, and was so friendly. I wish I had gone to him for my initial order. He’s the kind of salesman every buyer wants to encounter!

Busy store

I have been in desperate need of a new mattress and Mark found me wandering around and immediately made me feel welcome! I made him aware of my budget and he didn't try to upsell me on anything or stray from my budget! He showed me the differences between each brand of mattress because Firm is not the same for every brand, and he helped me get exactly what I was looking for. He was very personable and didn't just talk mattresses. I would absolutely recommend going to Ashley Furniture on John R.

We recently visited Ashley Furniture in search of a table. We liked a specific table and were informed that it was a floor model. After inspecting it, everything seemed fine. However, when the table was delivered to our house, the two truck drivers hastily assembled it. They mentioned it was their last delivery of the day, and they rushed to leave as quickly as possible. Once they were gone, we examined the table more closely. We discovered that one of the screws connecting the tabletop to the pedestal was stripped and not set flush, resulting in a half-inch gap and causing the tabletop to visibly wobble. Additionally, one of the legs wasn’t set properly and flexed severely with minimal pressure. On further inspection, we found a loose screw, which we initially thought would be a quick fix by tightening it. However, this wasn’t the case. The connection must have been damaged during transit, as wood particles covered our floor, and the screw wouldn’t tighten. We attempted to call Ashley Furniture just 15 minutes after the delivery, but we were told to go online to make a claim as they couldn't address the issue over the phone. We went online, filled out several forms, and uploaded pictures of the damaged table. In response, we were offered a mere $15 off our total purchase, which amounted to about $1,500. We spent several hours trying to reach someone over the phone but had no success. Fortunately, we managed to contact our credit card company and reverse the transaction. I strongly recommend avoiding any purchases from Ashley Furniture. The products are of low quality, and their customer service is virtually unreachable if you encounter any issues.

Here is the long story short. This is the 3rd bedroom set that they have delivered ( one was scratched horribly, one was broke by the installers the current one was assembled wrong) no handles or legs were intalled, the installers have scratched my freshly painted walls, broke a hole in my closet doors, lied straight to my face and were going to leave me with a damaged bed that they messed up, they have walked out and never returned ( said they were getting tools) signed my name saying I accepted the delivery, and accused me of stealing thier tools ( I told them to look in the drawers and that's where they found them) I have called the store manager several times to no avail, many many calls to customer service, and everyone I call dont have a clue to whats going on becasue there are no notes on my account so I have to go through all 3 deliveries. I have lost 4 days off work and still have to take another off for them to fix my current set. I would stear far clear of this place as you can ( my opinion)The manager straight out told me Ashley took the customer service out of the store so you have to deal with corporate. It's so frustrating and sad when you spend your hard earned money and can't get the product you bought. I'm still waiting on them to fix my closet doors ( it's been well over 3 weeks) and still don't know when they are coming out to correct my bed issue. I showed them the pictures the installer took, and you could see the bed miss aligned in the pictures. I will update this review if I ever get my bedroom set corrected.I wish I could attach pictures to show everyone the things I have been dealing with!! Horrible experience, to say the least

Bad ...bad ...bad tried to return a mattress called to start the return process. CUSTOMER SERVICE: probably top 5 worst customer services I have talked to! The “supervisor” Samon is probably the worst person I have talked to there! She solved nothing and did nothing when delivery was late for the second time! Unprofessional and wasted my time! 0 stars!

I don’t even know where to begin. Starting over, I moved into a new home and bought a bunch of furniture from Ashley. They delivered a kitchen table with a manufacturing defect and it took months to get it replaced. They sold me a sectional couch that had awful pilling of the fabric within two months. The company refuses to do anything about it. I’m just floored by how bad this experience has been. Never again.

This was truly the best furniture sales experience of my life. I'm 66 years old so I have made a few purchases in my time. Evan was so helpful and he took time to show me around the store. There was no pressure when I explained I had to go home and consult with my husband. I came back and closed the deal and there were no surprises when I got the final total. Ashley furniture is a great place to do business. I bought a reclining sofa, some lamps, and an outdoor sectional for the patio. I can't wait to get my stuff!

Do not buy from Ashley furniture unless you are absolutely certain of the item. I bought a couch and my sale representative told me I had a 72 hour window for any returns. One piece did not fit so I attempted to call the store which sends you straight to the customer service department. They said they have a zero return policy and will not be taking the item back. I called my sales rep who said once again yes you have 72 hours. Two weeks later I am still dealing with them. My sales rep will no longer take or return my calls and the store (Madison heights) are washing their hands clean of this. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

We are very impressed with the level of guidance & care provided by Jon Wayne Curtis today. I am extremely disappointed with Ashley Furniture and their lack of quality and customer service. I purchased furniture that broke within 6 months, and despite being under warranty, the associates acted like this was to be expected. Instead of resolving the issue promptly, I have been passed back and forth between different technicians, and no one seems capable of completing the repair. After being scheduled for a repair, they ordered the wrong parts. Today, I was supposed to have a technician come between 3-6pm. At 6:45pm, I received a text saying they'll be here in 45 minutes. This is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating. Save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere. Ashley Furniture has failed in every aspect – from product quality to customer service.

I just bought an end table from Ashley’s in Madison Heights. What a fantastic experience. Mark Sha… was my sale person absolutely no high-pressure super nice super knowledgeable. I earlier in the day I had gone out to the Ashley’s on Hall Road and had Alec as a sales person and walked out because I felt so high pressured. We just bought a sectional from Ashley Furniture. We were on our way to another place to look at the sectional we wanted, but decided to check Ashley Furniture first since we had to pass it anyway. Glad we did. Found what I believe is higher quality furniture there. The price was a bit more but worth it. I don't want to replace my couch in a year. The salesman Jay was awesome and knowledgeable and wasn't pushy, he introduced himself and disappeared until I had questions. That's what I like. I hate when a salesman is on my heels talking about everything and I can't think and decide what I want for myself. The manager was nice as well. Very satisfied with the whole experience as of right now.

This review has more to do with the actual products that Ashley sells and not for the customer service repsWe purchased our couch in November 2022. So we’ve only had it for a year and a half. Our sales rep was very friendly and helpful. And we ended up purchasing a $1,000 couch that day. Within a month of receiving it I noticed the flaws in this couch right away. The cushioning in the back didn’t offer much support, and the “premier” foam that they supposedly use for the cushions were already breaking down. There is a wooden 2x4 that runs along the lumbar area of the couch that absolutely kills your back if the cushioned aren’t pushed in all the way, and even when they are, you can still feel the wood when you are sitting on the couch. Between each section of the couch on the back is also wood that sticks out between them. So basically, if you sit in the wrong spot on the couch, you have wood pushing into your back. Fast forward to today… the cushions on the couch are completely broken down. I’ve flipped them and swapped them out for others, and it just doesn’t support as well anymore. It feels as though this couch is 25 years old. When we contacted Ashley about our issues, they had no solutions. We wanted our money back and to return it (on our dime with a restocking fee) but that wasn’t even an option. Ashley’s policies are atrocious, and the minute you walk out of the store with a purchase and your furniture is delivered, you are SOL if the product is terrible. This is just a warning to anyone thinking of purchasing Ashley furniture. You definitely get what you pay for. I would pay more money next time for something else to avoid this nightmare of a couch that we have have now.

My experience earlier today was nothing short of horrible. I purchased upwards of $5,000 in furniture for our business and home only to arrive to pick something up off the floor model to be told my order was cancelled and my money would be refunded . The new manager Lydia had no intention or interest in helping look for another table or provide any sort of customer service to me being very upset. They had idleast 3 people who I worked with previously on my orders all transferred out of this location so no one I worked with could help me besides the new manager . Unfortunately I will never go back nor will I encourage others . It’s a shame because Erik was helpful during my time there . The service has been night and day since the three other employees have transferred out of this location …. So sad .

Charged me for items they never gave me after I cancelled an order with them. Called the very next day to cancel and was assured by two people everything had been canceled and then got a bill in the mail for more than $500!!! I called the customer service # four times and was assured it would be taken care of, but it never was. I called the store twice, some guy named Nate claimed to be the manager and said he would check on it & never got back to me. Then I called the store again and spoke to Lydia who said Nate is not a manager the store doesn’t have any manager and there is no manager or anyone above her that she could put us into contact with to get this rectified! I’ve never dealt with any place more unprofessional than this one. Buyer beware do not go here!!!

They are great when you’re spending money with them but as soon as you try to use the extended warranty they sold you, they will offer zero support. I submitted a claim for my couch that broke 8 months after purchase and have gotten the run around from Ashley and the company they contract the work out to for over 2 months. The employees at the store refuse to look into it and instead will refer you to the service company. The service company will then tell you that you need to contact the store that it was purchased from to schedule service. The cycle continues and you’re stuck with a broken couch.

Originally I had gotten the wrong product, the sales rep put in the wrong order number(honest mistake). I called corporate to tell them since I couldn’t get through to the local store. After a week of me calling them and not hearing back from the local store I decided to go in and see what was up. After I showed the same sales rep the product number on the invoice compared to what I showed him to order initially, he and the manager immediately went to work making phone calls and organizing an exchange and approving it all before I left. Today, the delivery dude grabbed the old box from my door step and handed off the new shelf already assembled. It looks amazing and I’m super happy with this. I just need to clean out the corner where it’s going and I can’t wait!

Mark Shaya delivered exceptional service and was quick to address me when I entered the store and also made sure to check on me while I was in the store. Furniture, places bombarded with sleazy sales people, and it felt like I was honestly talking to a friend which made the experience that much better. I honestly was just going to buy some thing off of Wayfair, but I stopped and just to check it out. He also took the time to explain the different ways I can go about achieving my furniture goals and also made sure to show me additional products. At the time it wasn’t something I needed, but he later discovered that I am going to be purchasing a home soon, and I will definitely come back to him. Thank you Mark!

I went to the Ashley store in Madison Heights, MI to buy some living room furniture. Tre was awesome. If you go shopping there ask for him. He was very knowledgeable about the furniture including dimensions, which sofas have sleepers, materials and prices. The manager, Lydia, helped process my payment, arranged for pickup or delivery (I chose to pick up my purchase on my own), and helped close out the experience in a friendly way! I will be going back to shop for bedroom furniture soon and will be asking for Tre and Lydia. They both made the experience enjoyable as I was dreading shopping for new furniture.

Wonderful experience at Ashley’s tonight

I am quite disappointed with my recent experience. I visited the store in search of a few items. While the sales associate was courteous, it was evident she was unwell. I found myself in the bathroom washing my hands periodically as we shared a tablet. She assisted me in locating a dresser and a nightstand on clearance. Despite their damaged condition, I secured a good deal. However, the checkout process was frustratingly slow due to issues with the new system, which the staff appeared unfamiliar with. The amount of times i heard “our system can’t do that” was shocking. Later that evening, I decided to add a few more items to my order. Upon returning to the store, I was informed that the “system could not process” delivery for both clearance and regular items together. Instead, they recommended an independent delivery service for $140, as the store itself could not facilitate the delivery. I had arranged for a friend to pick up the clearance items. Despite notifying the store hours in advance, the items were neither ready nor removed from the floor upon his arrival. My friend, who was in a hurry, was then advised that delivery might be a better option. Consequently, I requested the cancellation of the clearance order, which was processed. However, when I later contacted the store to inquire about the remaining items, I discovered that my entire order had been canceled.

Evan was such an amazing and a kind hearted personal. He was willing to stay 1.5hrs after store closing time to help us out with furniture selection. He told us about all the max deals we can get. On top of all of that, he gave life protection on our couches as a wedding gift. Store manager was very helpful providing overrides and helping us with sorting between the options we had in mind. Overall, it was an amazing shopping experience at Madison heights store!

I'm not very pleased so far. First time buying from them. Sales person was nice, but was told we would bet a text with several different delivery times, and in actuality they give you a 3 hour window. So right off the bat, not pleased, but ok. Now we spent a lot of money on a bed, and upon delivery, there is no mattress, just the base. You can't call the store, it's just "nation wide customer service" she was plesent but not very helpful. I don't think we will be ordering from them .

Started off rocky there was not a sales associate present to greet us. A few moments later we were greeted. Our sales associate was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable about the product ls that we were interested in.

Tre was very pleasant and helpful when I came in looking for accents for an office. I had previously browsed the website, but pictures online only go so far when you need some inspiration. Tre was polite and courteous with recommendations and advice. We probably did four laps around the store coming up with ideas. The store was clean and well laid out, a good place to visit if trying to enhance a room in your house.

Had a great experience; went in knowing the product I wanted to buy, but wanted to see it in person and gather more information. Evan approached me and was able to answer all of my questions, provide measurements and make sure I was able to view a piece of the collection since the specific item I wanted was not on display. Nathan Williams did an incredible job setting us up on a great deal on bedroom sets for both of our kids (beds, dressers and nightstands) and was quite knowledgeable with the furniture. In addition, Mark Shaya helped us choose the best suited mattresses for our kiddos. Mark was not only knowledgeable with the products but with the science of sleep as well! Store was clean and organized well! Paul, the Manager came over to ensure we were taken care of and explained the awesome promotions the store was experiencing. I’d never been in an Ashley Store before. Tons of selection. Lots of informative employees to “educate” me on their products. The moment I walked in, ‘my couch’ was right there! (I had been to 2 other stores previously). I still walked around to see every single one! But still went back to ‘my couch’ & made the sale! A great deal; then they offered a better deal! Win! Win!

We wanted something comfortable with a chaise and ottoman that would be resistant to kid damage, and also fit within a tricky space. Tre assembled the couch as we would need it to be assembled on the spot in the store so we could really visualize how it would look in our home. The furniture I purchased was of poor quality and began to look worn after just one week of use. This is unacceptable and I am disappointed with my purchase. The poor quality of the furniture reflects poorly on the brand and I would not recommend it to others. I hope that in the future, the company will focus on producing higher quality products.

I went in to buy a mattress and was greeted by Jon Curtis. He was incredibly knowledgeable about mattresses and helped me find a great fit that would ease my sleeping pain.

DON"T BUY FROM THEM and DON"T deal with PAUL!!!! We went to Ashley in hopes of getting a new bed frame. Paul was our sales guy and seemed to be very nice, we ended up buying a whole new bedroom set with the adjustable bed frame. When we were signing the paperwork he told us the headboard was on back order and would be 4 weeks (he told us "but don't worry they usually take 2 weeks"). They charge a white glove delivery charge (no choice in that) and because of the back order they would only charge us once. The delivery day came 2 weeks later for the dressers, no headboard that was still on backorder, they put them together and told us everything was good! it looked ok and when they left we noticed they did not remove all the packaging on the drawers, It was broken right down the middle and the top two drawers could not be used. I called right away and told them, the lady I spoke to said it would be replaced that same day. I received another call stating it would take another week to get in the dresser. After multiple phone calls that included trying to reach Paul leaving him multiple messages without any return call (even to this day no call) I even spoke to the store manager who told me that I bought it and there were no returns and nothing she could do about it. They did replace it but they just showed up no prior call, Thank goodness we were home. Fast forward to 5 weeks later and we get the headboard delivered, when the guys put it together we looked at it and noticed there was a gap in the footboard and it was lower than the rest of the bed frame. He tried to tell us that it was suppose to be that way... UH NO!!!! it was upside down!!! They had to take it all apart and put it together right, which is an understatement. They still did not screw all the bolts in tight, we had to do that ourselves. The guys that came had no clue as to what they were doing nor did they seem to care. This whole process was horrible even and the quality of the furniture (we bought their "BEST") is not very good at all.

I purchased furniture a couple of weeks ago they ran my credit. I got approved through synchrony because they had the best terms and rate. The sales associates explained to me that I would only need the synchrony card. When I was expecting the synchrony card to arrive in the mail, I also received the Concora card with a $3000 credit limit, however, I never wanted to use the Concora card because I only needed the synchrony one. I reached out to the sales associate. He told me that I did not have to activate the card, and it would not affect me. Well, I checked my credit report and by them authorizing the concora card it brought my credit score down. I am extremely upset and I will never return to Ashley furniture store or recommend anybody to come to the store.

Mark helped us purchase king size bed as well as some high quality pillows. Our intent was to come and purchase a mattress. Mark educated us on the difference of each mattress. As well as taught us the proper way of sleeping on a pillow. We spent about 2.5 hours in there but it was worth every moment. I appreciate his patience and working with to get us what we needed. I will definitely be back to furnace the rest of my home.

Visited Ashley Home Store for the first time just to look at beds. We were greeted by Jay and he showed us a number of bed and mattress options. Jay was extremely knowledgeable. He found us the perfect mattress and bed based on our needs and sleep types. Very enjoyable time and Jay was able to get us a great deal for the best bedding for our needs.

Jay was a very friendly, knowledgeable and patient sales person. He didn't stalk us in the store or act aggressive. He listened and gave great information and suggestions on the items I was looking for. All of this was after I called the store 3 times trying to find a product in stock. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! I ordered a 1600 dollar couch on Friday the sales guy Omari, Kern was all over the place while I was trying to purchase the couch, he kept leaving and showing furniture to another person while I was trying to pay for my order and set up a delivery I found it very rude and unprofessional, to top that off he set up delivery for the next day Saturday 3/2/24 I paid $169 dollars for delivery and when Saturday came around no one called for a time so I called the store and talked to someone who was extremely rude saying they don't set up next day delivery that I was wrong with the date, he looked up my order and realized I was right than said we'll I don't know why you're sales guy set it up that way but it will be delivered Tuesday no sorry nothing just kept trying to blame me for the mistake, I asked to talk to a manager he told me they are busy at the moment but will call me back, now it's Monday no one has called me back I just wanted to know why did they promise me delivery on Saturday I had a family member waiting for delivery because I had to work all for nothing. The worst customer service, never again I will late my hard earned money to a different company. The picture shows the delivery date scheduled for 3/2/24. I bought purchased it on 3/1/24 I never asked for next day delivery he OFFERED in the first place. Plus I told the sales guy I did not want the fabric protection he said he is giving it to me for free and lowering the price for the sofa so it will come out the same I am sure he did that so he can make more commission as well

I had an easy experience with Lydia ordering my furniture and I would gladly purchase from this location again!!

It was a wonderful experience! Did NOT get approached at the door. Was allowed to walk in and look without sales people being on the attack. We felt with Lydia and she was very pleasant and easy to deal with. Very personable without being overly pushy and all up in my face trying to up sell me.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY AND DO NOT WORK WITH MARK, TERRIBLE SERVICE. The delivery was made to my home when I was not present and my mother signed for the delivery. The delivery and assembly for the furniture was terrible. The rails of drawers did not open or close properly, the slats on the bed frame were not installed on the bed frame and just left on the side, and there were parts missing from the bedroom set such as the support legs for the slats. Furthermore, there are damage and scuff marks on all parts of the furniture, especially the chest. There is a dent located on the bottom part of the left leg of the chest, which causes the bottom most drawer to not fully close. When I initially noticed these issues, I contacted the sales representative, named MARK that sold me the furniture He did not reply back to my text even after multiple attempts. Then I was out of town for a week, and once I was back in town I reached out to MARK again. He stated that I would have to contact Ashley’s customer service department. I ended up contacting customer service multiple times with no resolution. They kept stating that I had 72 hours from the time I received their furniture to report any issues and now I cannot return or exchange it. However, I did report the issues as soon as I noticed, but MARK did a poor job in getting back or communicating the issue at hand. I also ask to speak to a supervisor once I call customer service, and I am always told someone will give me a call back. However, not once has any supervisor called back to resolve this issue. I also contacted the store and spoke to the store manager, CAROL and SHARON who were of no help as well. She mentioned that she placed an order for replacement products and I would receive them on 1/21/24. I have not received those products. This company fails to take responsibility for their mishaps. The furniture is of low quality and I want a full return and refund on my order.

Ashley homestore made getting my daughter bed a breeze. This is my first big bedroom purchase for her and Brisa was top notch with her customer service. Brisa made picking out the bed so quick and simply and it wasn’t a business transaction, it was a joining of customer becoming part of the Ashley family for life. Unfortunately service was not continual once it was time for delivery. The driver made it in the window they promised but the bed could not be put together due to missing hardware. Another day to wait, I guess. February 28. update No call back and it’s been awhole 24 hours and we have not heard back from anyone! My child’s bed sits with no assembly and that’s dangerous to my current situation involving my child! So this is truly adding to stress in our home life. I called every number they listed for them and no luck. I had to call the warranty company just to get through to an Ashley store associate. And they still didn’t help at all. Now I am now left to figure how to assemble it with no hardware.

I went to Ashley Homestore during the president's day sales. I worked with a new employee, John, and he was helpful in assisting me with the purchase of two chests of drawers. He really emphasized the value of what I was purchasing and made sure I knew who to contact if I had any questions. John was assisted by a fellow employee, Mark, to complete my transaction. It was nice to see a teaching moment with consistent question, explanation, and feedback, as they answered all of my questions and completed my transaction. My items will be delivered to my home, so despite not having seen them yet, I feel confident that the employees at the Madison Heights store would be willing to help if I need it.

Salesperson Lydia was very pleasant and gave us good options before we made a purchase. Store has good options at fair prices. Delivery was smooth also.

My wife and I bought two of the exact same couches different colors. One came in great but they overcharged me for it. The other was discounted and was also on back order. I waited 7 weeks for the couch. I got a call it came in and I took the day off work as well as rented a U-Haul to pick it up. Half of the couch came in and they said they discontinued the rest so that’s all I could take. Had I not asked the people loading my U-Haul they would have sent me home with the half a couch. I went back in to get help and Paul K, older miserable guy had the worst attitude and did nothing. His manager Sharon was nice but offered nothing more than a tiny discount on ANOTHER couch not the same but a different one that was more expensive and different color. Tried to charge me $500 more for the same couch I bought in a different color??? Mohammed the sales rep was nothing short of a sleezy furniture salesman. DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE. They should have actually helped. Maybe on top of a measly $200-300 discount free delivery? A real apology not a hey it happens? Terrible customer service in this place I lost a whole day off and 7 weeks waiting for a couch that was discontinued and never coming. Terrible way to make up for your mistake. If you have any care to read this you should know who this is and our order. Feel free to reach out and make it right somehow.

Huge beautiful new store

In store experience was good (polite and helpful salesperson), but it seems like Ashley Furniture is working against it's own brick and mortar. In hindsight, I paid more than what was the prices were online, and there isn't a return policy, so I'm SOL for the piece that didn't work out in my home. My bad for missing the fine print, but transparency would've been appreciated.

PSA. They don’ fake bad reviews but they can fake the good ones… Alright well I never thought I’d be one to post a review let alone a bad one but here we are I guess. Not only was the sales person I talked to taking me on a wild goose chase, the customer service was the absolute worst I have ever seen. After getting my shipment of items the bed frame came defective (missing vital pieces). 5 phone calls later and 6 consecutive days of talking to the customer service they finally said they were able to ship the piece. 10 days. I was very respectful throughout the process and not once did I get an apology or offered anything to compensate. It took 10 days to order the bedroom set. 6 days to get a hardware piece that wasn’t included with it. 10 more days to HOPEFULLY get the right piece. I have always admired Ashley’s Furniture that’s why I am very dissatisfied with my first time buying from them. Update: I got shipped something completely unrelated to anything I had multiple phone calls and conversations about. Called back and still didn't even get offered an apology. Now they’re shipping me the right things so they say. 100% recommend everyone to find what they’re looking for somewhere else. It’s unbelievable it’s almost as if they’re playing a game called who can be the most useless person on staff.

Horrible experience. I ordered a furniture set which didn’t fit which wasn’t their fault however I did a reselection and have been going back and forth with them ever since. They attempted to make a delivery and it was the wrong color and side of the sectional. Called the store multiple times and could never get anyone on the phone. Went to the store a couple different times to get the error corrected. Spoke with Paul who I was told was the supervisor he advised he would take care of it and reach out to me to let me know the status, never heard from Paul Or our original sales person Lydia. Received a call two weeks later from someone else advising the set was discontinued. Now I am calling back and forth to have them pick up their furniture that they incorrectly delivered and still can’t get anywhere. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a furniture store. For Ashley’s furniture to be so expensive I expected way more.

Omari & Sharon were very very helpful and they helped us explore our options and gave us great deal that we couldn’t say No to it, they were professional and fringe and cared about us a lot, thank you so much for your help.

Shopping at Ashley Furniture was a great experience. Our sales guy Paul was very helpful and made it easy and simple to get our great deal on our Furniture.

If you could put zero stars, I'd do it. BUYER BEWARE - you cannot return anything "after delivery". It does not matter if delivered damaged or wrong, they simply run you round and round between the store manager (never calls you back) and customer service, which cannot help you. They delivered the wrong chairs to a table set, 30" barstool vs. the 24" chairs, the table was damage, gouged out in multiple places and looks like someone already tried to repair a scratch on the top. The delivery guys just zoomed in, and said sign here and bailed. I never even got a chance to look at it all. Well, I was at least smart enough to reply to the auto chat bot email on delivery and provided all the pictures, including the store floor model. That's about the best that's happened, it's been 7 weeks, still have stupidly tall chairs sitting in corner of room and a table I can't use. I just want them to pick it all up and be done, but it looks like I'm going to have to just dump it at the door of the store as I am unable to get anyone to call back or follow through. They are NOT part of Ashley furniture, it's just a name to make you think they are, they are no different than any of the other furniture stores. Do you self a favor, if you find something you like, take a picture and go to Furniture City or Gardner White or someone else.

I had an amazing experience with Mr. Paul, who covered for Mr Evan. Mr. Pail was very helpful in assisting an indecisive person make a final decision on a previously purchased bedroom set. Everything turned out beautifully 😍. Everyone was very pleasant, showed respect towards customers. Both our salesperson Erik and the manager Sharon were extremely knowledgeable and helpful during our mattress purchase.

December 3rd I went in to buy a couch. I decided to finance it and my sales rep Muhammad copied my info and applied for 2 extra cards without my permission. I was only suppose to get the one card from the bank that associates with them. They also scammed me with the price of it. The price of the couch was $1,000 online but in stores they were selling it for $1,300 saying this was a “holiday sale”. They tell you if you finance and pay off in 12 months they can knock the $300 off. It’s just a scam to finance with them so they can sneak and steal your info to apply for cards. I’ve made multiple calls to the store and it only directs you to customer service where they talk in circles and you get nowhere with them. There has been multiple reviews and even at your location where this isn’t the first time this company has done this to people.

We came to your store strictly to look around and get an idea of what you had. We had zero intention of purchasing a new bed. We left with a King Temper-Pedic and base ($6,000). We received excellent service through education, patience, advice, listening and at times, giving us some space, from both Erik Wise and your manager Sharon. They were both excellent.

Delivery scheduling was not organized very well Kept receiving different delivery dates—only complaint. Other than that—happy with our purchase!!! Pleased with my salesperson Trey!! Pleased with the delivery men—loved the shared ETA feature!! Both delivery men were kind and efficient!! I definitely will purchase from this store again!!

Great experience from start to finish. Also plenty of options for every budget. Also, also, the mattress technicians were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

They allowed me to walk around the store without following me. I was introduced to a sales person who said I was able to find them if I had a question. Once we determine what we were interested in they were able to provide us the details we were looking for Credit options And delivery charge. Came in the following day to actually make the purchase with the same sales person we worked with transaction went very smoothly. Happy with the service. Will provide additional detail once the delivery has been complete

They were amazing at this Ashley store. Super informative, very friendly, patient, and accommodating. And above all they gave us the best deal in town. We worked with Muhammad and Mark, and it was a very fun and enjoyable experience.

Evan was a big help when I was looking for my sofas, he was not pushy at all and walked back and forth as many times as I needed to see all of my options.
