DO NOT ORDER WITH THEM! In the last six weeks I have had: - 3 trips to the store - 9 emails - 4 phone calls And still no furniture has arrived. Excused have included: - you paid in cash so we cant cancel - your items are out of stock (then why take our cash) - your items are didn’t schedule delivery yet (they didn’t tell me to) - your items are not scheduled for delivery - (yes they are- 4 times) - your items are out of stock again (no they’re not, I have an email that says they’re in stock from you from yesterday) - you didn’t sign this one form (you didn’t tell me to)

Jeffrey at the Novi store was our consultant. He was able to allow us the freedom to look at the pieces were discussing, form our own thoughts, and then stepped in to help us better realize the potential of the purchase we were making. We really liked a table on the show room floor. He made a recommendation about chairs (which were the same price point and wood finish). We were able to make a purchase that our bank account, our style, and our hearts could be happy with.

I purchased a sectional and a mattress from Ashley in Novi and Kijana Roberts was very helpful, he made good suggestions within my budget and didn't try to sell me unnecessary things. The manager he even came over and introduced himself.Everyone was very friendly. Very good experience.

My husband and I purchased our bedroom set in July 4, 2025 we had our schedule delivery on July 26, 2025. We got a call saying they need to reschedule TWO DAYS PIOR before delivery due to part of a bed frame to arrive at the warehouse. We rescheduled for aug 2,2025 now today AGAIN TWO DAYS PIOR BEFORE delivery we need. To reschedule due to the part of the bed frame still hasn’t arrive to the warehouse. BEFORE PURCHASING a bedset or anything the employee should let customers know about the delay. We were told it was in stock. Now I’m regretting on purchasing our bedset from here and just rather gone to Gardner white.

Beware! Don't buy unless you're 100%. They do not Allow you to return items. They do not verbally offer this information. I went into the store and found a table I liked and a week later it went on sale so I called in and bought the table over the phone. All of my documents were emailed to me. I only thought to check the pricing not to read the fine print, which is my fault . I just made the assumption because most places allow you to return if your not happy.. The table arrived and my chairs did not fit the way I expected, they straddle the legs of the table and don't fit 2 inside.. and there was also a bubble In the veneer. But I called in. I was told that I could not return any item excepted into my house. They offered to send someone To fix the veneer. I asked to talk to a supervisor and I've never been contacted. They never came to look at the veneer. I just received a phone call the next day saying they were going to send a new table again I asked for a supervisor again and they just fought me on the fact that they don't accept returns and a supervisor will not call you. Nice in the store but once you get your order that's about it.

My sales person Mr. Jeffrey Shifman was very patient, kind, relatable and Very Knowledgeable about each piece of furniture of my interest. I also met the store manager. Everyone was friendly! The Novi store manager Chris was soooo rude and disrespectful. I had an issue with the transaction he didn’t offer any help or calling anyone to resolve it, my order is about $10000 worth —- carelessly all what he said to me with an attitude when you receive the mailing letter from the Ashley credit card bank just come back to try again—- have a nice day and he turned around and left, I felt like I’m not welcomed in this store, was terrible mistreating experience!

Jamie and Kellen provided the BEST service, great information and really took the time to explain everything about the furniture we are interested in purchasing. He said he'd only been on the job a very short time and did not have any cards yet. He informed me his name was Spencer and wrote his name and number on my receipt. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION AND TIMING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE.I ordered a bed set on July 4th, sales rep claimed it was all in stock and we agreed on delivery for July 26, two days prior to delivery. We get a call from them stating that the bedframe is currently on backorder for another two weeks. One day goes by they reach out to me via text and state that these are your Options for the new delivery date. I agree to a specific date. Now I got another phone call from Ashley furniture stating that the Bedframe is still on backorder. This is the second time they keep doing the bait and switch Telling me it’s ready for delivery and then canceling on me due to backorder. Do not reach out to me To confirm a drop off date only to text me two days prior and tell me that the delivery has to be canceled. This is very unprofessional and I am not happy as a customer

The furniture we purchased was fine. It is extremely aggravating that the store telephone number is not listed and you call the main number and have to listen to all these recordings, when all I wanted to know from the store was to verify the piece of furniture was their for pick up before I traveled there.

Absolutely awful expirence with Ashley Furniture. I received the right sofa today after multiple errors with the order and delivery over the past month. This was a very disappointing experience, and I have been telling friends and family to avoid Ashley. I wish I'd of gone elsewhere.

Terrible experience. Spent nearly $400 on a sideboard. The product arrived with significant damage. The furniture itself was terrible quality. Within a day it was peeling, chipping, and bubbling off the particleboard. Spent a very long time on the phone with customer service and still do not have a resolution.

Absolutely worst experience with furniture purchase and very disappointed at lack of respect or understanding by store asst. manager Chris B. Purchase was over $5K leather power sectional,found out at delivery no power spliter cord available lied to by salesman,never told set discontinued ! Was told by service "you" can buy 1 on Amazon.. what !! Delivery dropped 2 pieces at my doorstep ripping the leather, bending metal brackets, scuffed up leather etc. Then was told by warehouse manager Alex 2 to 3 months (if they can find the pieces of furniture) to replace damaged pieces (after waiting 5 weeks already) went to store to talk with manager (Chris)..what a cold hearted condescending person, never even apologized didn't show any care or customer service just wanted to debate or not hear anything very rude, excuses is all we got, salesman not from my store, what do you want from me, where you headed with this, just showed no sense of care for customer follow up...returned all furniture back on delivery truck/canceled order. Never ever stepping foot in any Ashley store

Are experience with our order has been terrible. The day we purchased May 1 2025 everything is in stock due to carpet being put into the bedroom we called to schedule 1 1/2 weeks after purchase and told us not everything was available should be in May 29. So a June 5 delivery was scheduled. 2 days before the schedule date we received a text stating we will receive a text with a 3 hour arrival time. By 1 still no text I called the store and was told there is no delivery scheduled. They looked up the order and still not all of my order is available. This is not acceptable to me on any level. The lack of communication within the store and the customer is terrible. Told I would get a call back and never did. This is not a small $ amount order. Now told June 26. I will be looking elsewhere

This company sells very cheap quality furniture every item I got from them had damage to it, no wonder they have final sale to all furniture you buy whether on sale or new and they refuse to exchange even though you send pictures and videos. Their excuse they have to send a tech first who are unable to fix anything.

I went into Ashley Novi looking for a recliner. After talking to Kristin and Mike for a while, I ended up walking out with an adjustable base for my bed that I didn’t know I needed. They were wonderful, explaining all of the ways it would benefit my sleep. Kudos to them.

I am not happy with Ashley’s customer service. This is about a piece of furniture I ordered, and paid in full. At the time of my purchase I was told it was on back order. I kept calling in periodically to follow up on when it could be scheduled for delivery. The last time I called I was told, “oh that item has been discontinued.” I never received any notice of this, not a call, text or email. It took my initiation to call the he store, that I was finally notified. I think that was terrible customer service. Not I guess I’ll have to keep following up as to when I can expect full reimbursement. I am a very dissatisfied customer.

I wanna give Ashley a 5 star but the overall customer service has been meh and I am being frustrated at this point. 1. I literally can’t get into contact with the store directly which in itself is annoying. 2. I ordered a sofa it was too big and couldn’t fit through my door and had to send it back and get something else. I had to physically go to the store and get everything sorted out. Only to have to wait 2 more weeks until I could actually get my sofa. Only for it to be delivered and the delivery people tare a hole in my dust cover at the bottom. They made notes and said someone would call me. The call never came. I had to call and get everything sorted out only to find that someone had removed my 5 year extended warranty and there is no way for it to be put back on. At this point I’m beyond pissed because who said to do that. That instruction was never given to any sales person. So I finally get someone to say oh the techs will be out to fix your sofa only for them to send me the dust cover in the mail. Like am I expected to fix it myself? I was told by customer service that someone would call me to schedule having it fixed that was 2 weeks ago I have not gotten a call at all not even an email. I have spoken several time with my sales person Matt who has tired to be helpful but there hasn’t been any follow up with my situation and short of going back to the store for a third time and actually speaking to someone I’m not sure what to do. Needless to say I’m extremely disappointed in the service I have received with Ashley and I’m not sure I will use them Again for my furniture needs.

First of all I couldn't get a salesperson to assist me, the manager assisted me. He directed me to a salesman who was helping too many people at once. I tried calling the store several times but every thing is AI. There was confusion with my delivery my salesperson had put an item I took with me, as a delivery I guess, he won't respond. The delivery men wanted me to take pictures of items I purchased at the store and brought home with me, that was confusing. I wanted to purchase an additional item but it had a separate delivery charge, the sales person said text him if I decided to get it, I did the next day that was 12 days ago he still has not responded. The pillows were brought from the store but I guess they were also on delivery.

Our sales rep was very knowledgeable and steered us to the right mattress and base.

We spent a couple of days searching for a mattress to replace ours that had finally broke down. Kristen Was our sales person and she was excellent she was honest knowledgeable and made my husband and myself both feel very comfortable

The furniture pieces come invariably nicked and scratched and covered in dust. Scheduling is a hassle- you schedule it and make sure things are in stock at the store, then they keep changing the schedule and delaying, delaying, delaying at the last minute. A real nuisance.

I was referred to Ashley by several people who stated they had good quality furniture. They made my experience very easy. Delivery was right on time, down to the minute. The salesman in the store was knowledgeable and the delivery guys were sharp, and on point. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Sales gentlemen were extremely friendly and helpful! (Dimitrio and Kijana!) I was able to finally choose a mattress and coffee + end table. Really appreciated the relaxed, no pressure approach.

Recently went in just to get an idea on what mattress were available and pricing. Explained to sales associate that we just started looking, weren’t planning on purchasing. She was so pushy wouldn’t take no for an answer. Didn’t show us a range of options only most expensive. We got pressured into buying and felt terrible after leaving the store. Will likely be cancelling the order since we didn’t feel like we got all the options nor really got to think it through.

Customer service experience was great. Professional yet full of humor and extremely helpful. The table that I wanted was not in store, but my sales representative looked it up and I am anticipating delivery on the 23rd of April.

When I opened the wrapping that covered the furniture I found that 2 pieces were damaged. I had hoped to be able to immediately exchange them unfortunately I have to wait to hear from a technician. Not ideal. I would give Jeffrey 10 stars however this covers the entire experience.

We were told our furniture would be delivered in 2-3 weeks. The first piece arrived in eight weeks and we were not told the second piece was not being delivered that day. I had to call multiple times to get a status and was repeatedly given much earlier dates and promises to get it deliver quickly. Well, it too another nine weeks to get here. Finally have my full order after 17 weeks. Nothing but misleading stories and outright lies. I will never shop here again.

Its was worst experience till now,I heared from many friends liked never accept partially delivery from Ashley because after partially delivery they doesn’t care about your order so same happen with us we order our dinning table around 28 dec 2024 they promise to delivered around 17th January 2025 but they delayed and delivered at my palace 29th January with wrong mounting plates so they can’t assembled same time and we talk customer support they said we can palaces new mounting plates according to your order after that we can assembled. so we thinking alots because it’s become for us partially delivery because chairs and bench completed but table not completed we thinking it’s ok within few weeks they completed table also but after 3 weeks we received mounting plates but we Are only full responsible for tracking order received order they doesn’t care or track anything after delivery of plates I again contact with customer care for assembling they said they having someone technician after 1or 2week for your place I said I paid more than $350 for assembling only it’s my mistake better I can hire someone from outside and assembled my table why I m waiting for you guys they said we are 3rd party we can’t do anything’s except sending technician after 1or 2weeks so we wait at point we also not having any option then technician come after 1week and said I can’t assembled your table because I m having different kind of technician it’s required 2mens support so you need to schedule next appointment with 2 men’s so I said okay when your staff booked you (technician) they can also see whole process in system what going in my order then how they can assign you why they sending wrong person again I called scheduling team they again said I can’t do anything we are 3rd party only do next appointment after 1week for you so till now my order still incomplete. I ordered a dining table and chairs from Ashley Furniture on January 1st, assisted by a salesperson named Prince. We specifically needed the table by early January, and he assured us it would be delivered by January 10. However, that date came and went with no delivery. When I called Ashley, Prince denied ever promising that date, even though my receipt clearly stated the scheduled delivery. I then had to reschedule the delivery myself through the Ashley bot, which was strange considering I had purchased the table in-store. Since we found different chairs we liked better from Ashley’s online store, I canceled the original chairs and ordered a new set online. The online chairs arrived within a week, but getting a refund for the canceled chairs became another nightmare. The table itself was delayed over and over again: • Mid-January – No delivery. I was told it wasn’t in the warehouse. • End of January – Again, no delivery. • February 10 – No delivery. • End of February – Rescheduled again. • Early March – Rescheduled again without informing me. • March 10 – I only found out about this new date when I went to the store to complain. At no point did they bother informing me of the delays—I had to keep chasing them down. The worst part? It took over a month and a half and 5-6 calls to get my refund for the canceled chairs. Ashley kept telling me they wouldn’t process the refund until the table was delivered, which makes no sense. After escalating the issue multiple times, I finally got my money back. Had I known the table was never actually in stock, I never would have purchased it. The in-store experience was filled with misleading sales tactics and empty promises. If you’re considering buying from Ashley, order online instead. At least then you’ll have accurate stock information and better customer service

Our experience with Ashley’s was excellent. Our floor salesman KJ Roberts was knowledgeable, kind and thorough. I was really impressed with the communication of our bedroom dressers delivery. We were able to track the truck and they arrived just as promised. They had like 15 stops that day that we knew of so kudos to their efficiency. Tommy the driver and his men were careful but quick and efficient. We love the quality and style of our 2 dressers and would highly recommend them to you.

This would be 0 stars if I could! I bought a power base and new mattress and was told that it would fit and be Inhered to on existing bed frame with no issue. It was delivered yesterday and the tech that put it on failed to mention that the current slates were not spaced correctly for the base to work. He told us everything was good. I tested the power function that worked. Asked the installer if there was anything I should know he said no and took a picture of the installed and left. 15 minutes later my husband sat on the bed and the pedals on the slats slid off and come off. When I looked the power base clearly does not fit on my current frame. I called Ashley's immediately (20 minutes after the driver left) and they are refusing to refund us. I have had to make 5 phone calls in less then 24 hrs to get any response. I am still waiting on a manager return call. There is no way the installer didn't know this would not work!

This isn’t a knock on this store at all, it’s on Ashley as a whole. I will never buy anything from Ashley again. Their delivery is a complete disaster and they waste your time! Also, they don’t allow for reviews on Google Or Facebook, there is a reason for that- check yelp before you buy anything! Update: I called the very number below and they couldn't help, no one seems to know what's going on and now they have cancelled the rest of my order! What a disaster. FYI, also trying to charge me $400 delivery fee for the $350 ottoman they delivered without everything else and they can't get back to me for 72 hours. I was about to furnish an entire place and I will NEVER buy anything from here again and will make sure people know not to!

Purchased $4500.00 for 1 loveseat, recliner and queen size bed. Bed was delivered with manufacturer defect for bed. Bed has a 5-10 degree lean before installing mattress. The love seat and chair fabric do not match at all. Store was MIA regarding any help resolving issue. Not a happy choice in the store. Buyer be ware. Customer service isn't always a retail store mantra. Good Luck.

We had such a amazing experience the first time we went that we went back a second time to get a few more things and ask some questions. This store is a bunch of scam artist be careful! I had 3 month financing And they took ridiculously high payments. The bright side was is my furniture was paid off in six weeks as opposed to three months financing I signed up for . The bad part was I was depending on the three months to pay off the furniture and expecting smaller payments and it sent my finances into a tailspin . Thank you Ashley for continuing to fail to respond and when you do you lie to me and saying you were going to fix the problem. Your customer service is absolutely horrible. You never fix the problem, and you continued to take money out of my account even after my purchase was paid off ! So now I am paying money to them after the purchase is paid for, and there is not anything my bank can do without me completely closing my entire account, causing myself more pain and suffering! I suggest going next-door to White or a different Ashley store!

We went into this store and no one greeted us. To make matters worse I’m part of an interracial couple and the white salesman focused on the white customer in front of us. After we had circled half the store I decided to go find someone to help us. To my surprise the white salesman with blond hair from the entrance had gone and found a black salesman to come and meet and help us. I was mortified that this behavior is still happening in this world today. Walked right past me and never even spoke to me. It was hard to watch this blatant racism in front of me. My decision to buy anything from Ashley Furniture has definitely changed. What a disappointment!

My husband and I came in not knowing what we wanted and were expecting prices way out of our price range when in fact that can’t be further than the truth, Christopher was our Tempur-pedic Sales representative and he took his time explaining what the differences in beds were, and what we needed to start feeling better! We had a horrible bed at home that caused us back Sachs and an even worse couch so not only did we leave with a new bed and frame but we fell in love with a couch too that we added to our order! Beware of this loaction. They are very slick sales people. Once your order is place and you have paid, you are not sure you will receive your order. I placed my order 4 months ago, and till today I have not received anyhting. Multiple visits to the store, they tell me it will arrive soon, but nothing comes. I have tried calling Ashley corporate as well. The store has all my information wrong in the system so Corporate doesnt know what is going on. 4 months later I just kep calling them with no resolution. Not sure but be carefull of giving any credit information at this specific loaction.

I’m very sad about my experience with Ashley. I ordered a couch from here and it’s taking over 2 months to get delivered. I have been coming home to a home that doesn’t feel like home because the couch has taken so long to get delivered and it’s impacting my mental health and comfort at home. They need to have more stock of their furniture, what’s the point of having such a big furniture store when your items are never in stock?

Honestly one of my worst customer service experiences. I ordered a tv stand back in July. When I went to assemble it, I had two broken pieces (snapped in half) I contacted customer services, which was honestly kind of difficult. Finally I was told I would get replacement parts sent to me. They estimated it would take around 2 weeks. I received no tracking number just another order number. When I chatted with customer service again, they could not even locate the order number in the system. I was basically just waiting for these untraceable parts to show up at my door. They did in fact show up after 6 weeks :/ (twice). I finally got to assemble my tv stand in October where I got to the last step and realized I was missing screws in the tool pack they provided me. I contacted customer service again and they told me they’d send another pack to me. I got that one quicker, but as I went to again assemble with the screws, I realized I did not have the screws in the second pack either. Overall, an extremely frustrating experience. Quality control obviously lacks, customer service is unorganized. I even had gone into the Novi store where I purchased the tv stand for assistance but they basically sent me away to contact customer service. Typical sales people who once they get the sale, you are out of sight out of mind. I simply will probably never buy anything for Ashley again because this process was beyond frustrating.

Had issues with the bed, called them and got exchanged. After that, they sold me the exchanged bet without a box spring so had to call back to resolve the issue. Overall good customer service from management team. Although it was a hassle to get things taken care of.

My purchasing experience was pleasant, but unfortunately the delivery didn't go as well. The morning of my delivery, I called because I had not heard anything. My chair was not on the truck because the area code was wrong so I didn't receive any of their messages. No one emailed me when they didn't get me by phone. She re-scheduled my delivery but said I needed to go in the store & change my area code. I asked if I could call she said no. I called the store & was told for security reason I needed to go in the store. I get to the store they didn't even ask for ID. The day before my delivery I called to confirm & again I wasn't on the schedule. I guess 3 times is a charm. I finally got my chair yesterday.

This is the first time I’ve shopped at Ashley and I’ve had the worst experience ever. The sales person verbally told me that I would have white gloves delivery and in the invoice, I saw that I was charged for delivery so I didn’t think anything of it however, When I had my couch delivered, it was front door delivery only. When I called to see where the miscommunication was, he pretty much said you should’ve checked the invoice before you signed it and didn’t take any accountability. He said he would open a ticket and see if anything can be done and that he would follow up with me in a few days. It’s been over a month and I still have not received a call. Also, the couch was delivered damage which to give credit to customer service they were able to help me out right away. The sales person on the other note couldn’t not care less after the purchase was made.

I just want to say The Ashley Store in Novi was the best Furniture experience I ever had. I have dealt for over 45 years with the other furniture chains and always never felt satisfied after I left. I never knew The Ashley Furniture Store actually make their own furniture. Jeff Schifman was our sales person. He has been in the business and worked for all the Exclusive high end retailers as a buyer for them. Ashley in my opinion is super lucky to have him as an employee. He was the most personable and knowledgeable on all kinds of furniture. They are not pushy and the Prices were excellent. I will be their customer from now on . I usually don’t take the time to do these surveys but It was such a great experience I want other future customers to have the same great experience I had ..

Store had a good selection. Sales folks were very helpful and not pushy!! The overall experience was very positive. The only missing piece was that they don’t haul away the old furniture. This should be included as an add on service to make this a wholistic buying experience.

If I could leave negative stats I would rude receptionists loaders had me load it. It took over a hour and they new I was coming for two days. Scratches on my leather chair. No feet for the foot rest. Horrible experience I will never buy Ashley again.

I have always considered Ashley's furniture to be a high-end store, but my recent experience has been the worst of my life. I placed an order on July 14th and only received a partial order on September 29th, with the final part expected to arrive in October, despite being told that everything was in stock. It's clear that the corporate team needs to take a serious look at the customer feedback. It seems like everyone is having the same issues, so it might be time for a leadership change in this corporation.

A fun shopping experience! Prince did an excellent job helping me find a sofa that fit all our requirements. We cant wait for our new sectional to arrive.

Please be very careful when you purchase from Ashley Furniture. Their policy is no refunds or exchanges once the items are in your possession, even if damaged. You must refuse the item immediately; otherwise, they do not help. They do not have their own delivery company, so they hired a third party to deliver, and they damaged our floors. They hid the damage by placing the bed on the damaged area, taking pictures showing no damage, and leaving dirt after assembly. So please take photos of the rooms where furniture is delivered before and after. We moved the bed to clean, and the footboard fell apart(most bolts were not tightend so we had to do our self). The store staff have nothing to do with the customer after the sale. They refer to customer service, so do not even bother contacting the store they offer no help, I asked for the manager and he refered me to call a number. They also left trash outside where they parked. And as you see in the response from the store theyhave nothing to do with the customer after the sale, they refer you to call phone numbers.

Furniture quality is Better then Gardner white. Char was a big help, very friendly and still learning. However, we were overcharged 165.00 dollars then the prices given, so I hope she will take good care of us when we come back for more decor or take it as a tip. Best of luck to you!

From the moment my husband and I walked in we were greeted and when we said we were “soft looking “ for furniture, we weren’t stalked. Char worked with us and was extremely patient, offering us options and she listened to our needs. There was another woman who also helped us (but I can’t remember her name!). Everyone at Ashley was helpful and personable (unlike their nearby competitor with the initials of G&W). Ashley Furniture is excellent quality and more affordable than many others! We purchased two pieces (sofa and loveseat) and are super excited! Thank you Char for your kindness and patience! We WILL return in the future!!

They say that they would match/honor the online price which is a total lie and also try to add the door step delivery to the order which cannot be refused. We knew what we wanted and were ready to work with a rep to close the deal but it didn't work out well. Would probably shop online but beware their store and online policies are way different.

Jeffrey Shifman was the associate that we worked with. He was very helpful with answering all of our queries and passing his knowledge about home decoration. He was very demonstrative of the type of fabric and showing us all the details needed for our purchase. Overall all we were very happy with his handling of the entire buying process.

The sale itself was a pleasant experience until they couldn’t deliver on the original date they set up. When it finally arrived, the order was wrong. The salesman couldn’t be reached and the Manager was not helpful at all. I could never find a phone number to directly talk to someone in the store and had to go to elevated levels of customer service at their corporate number. When I went back to the store for the second time after delivery to get it straightened out, Jamie stepped up and rectified the whole situation. He is a great guy and I would highly recommend working with him. I love the furniture, but dealing with the store with something less than a good experience, except for Jamie!

Terrible experience at the Novi Ashley store. My mother bought a $4600 mattress and power base that has never worked. They were supposed to send someone out to help with it, and never showed for it. I called to follow up for her, and was told they won't deal with it and are passing me on to the manufacturer. So I then asked how do I get a refund for this, since it never worked, and was told they have a NO REFUND policy. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS So, the "owner" responds wanting to help, and gives me the same phone number to call that told me they won't help. So I tried the text number to see if they will help. They sent one message, and have ignored since. I have been very polite, and am just asking for some help with this. My mom is 81 years old, and needs some assistance with this. They can't possibly just ignore this, can they?????

I recently purchased a few items from Ashley's Novi location with a salesman KJ. KJ, was extremely knowledgeable of the items being purchased. He gave excellent customer service. He made our first time visiting an Ashley furniture store veryyyyy pleasing and comfortable. If you visit the Novi location and want to feel like an appreciated consumer... then ask for KJ.

Terrrible experience. I waited all day, took off work for my delivery for them to not come. It said they were on the way at 8:49pm after waiting the whole day and then they signed for me, marked it delivered and never came. Not even a phone call. Where is my couch???

We made a third furniture purchase at Ashley and the process was once again, very professional and easy. We had two sales people (Prince & KJ) since we went in twice and they were both helpful and knowledgeable. The delivery was quick and efficient and the bed and mattress are really nice.

This place is the biggest scam ever. Please stay away from this place. Had two orders placed. Decided to cancel one and I had to call 3 times to cancel. Their customer service is AWFUL and the phone numbers that Ashley Novi gives you do not work or they never answer you. They just want to sell you and send you away. After waiting for my refund for 10 plus days I still had not gotten it. Called the customer support again and they stated a ticket for my refund was never created. How can you cancel an order and not expect a refund ?! Especially after I stated I wanted a full refund to my cc. I am still waiting my refund on this of over 2K. My second order was set to come together and that they had it in stock at the store. Nope I got a call that only one part was available and they were shipping it separately. I got the piece and I hated it and decided to try to return it especially since I only had one piece. NOPE. They don’t take any returns or work with you on solving any issues. I canceled the second piece. Still having trouble getting my refund on this as well. This place is such a scam. I will never be purchasing anything from Ashley and I recommend you save yourself the grief and stress.

The best furniture shopping experience in 40+ years thanks to Kia @ Ashley Furniture in Novi, MI! She was intuitive without hovering, knowledgeable but not overbearing. She asked questions about style then guided us to a great selection, pointing out features. I would also like to give a shout out to the entire team, thank you for taking what could have been an excruciating experience and making it enjoyable. 10/10. Go see Kia!!!!!!

Everything was going well until I decided to buy some of the items that was on my bill and return other items. My salesman expressed how upset he was about his permission and threaten to cancel my whole order. I went to the store they were talking about canceling partial order no worries and no thank you cancel the whole thing I went someplace else left there satisfied and I save some money.

I ordered a 4 piece livingroom set in April and all of the pieces didn't come in until June, which was OK. But then we learned they only deliver in our area once a week so I had to take a day off work. When our items were delivered I saw right away the loveseat was damaged. The driver took pictures and said to call the next day and they will replace it. I called and the rep said no, that isn't how they handle things. I had to go on the website, request "parts" and wait for a repair tech to come out. Now the parts are backordered until the end of July. And the repair tech only comes out to my area once a month! I am VERY disappointed in Ashley furniture. I would NOT reccommend!!!

I am writing this on behalf of my aunt. She came to this store in mid-May and purchased a china cabinet, dining table, 2 captain chairs, and 4 other chairs. At least that’s what she thought. She was led astray and lied to multiple times by a specific salesperson named Jay Phillips that day. It was all a mess the day she received her incorrect order. She was given a broken table with no chairs. The broken table was taken back without argument and the delivery team said they would bring her a new one. When she asked them where her chairs were, they simply stated that there aren’t any. When she was in the store, she was assured several times that the $3200 that she spent was including the chairs. She went to the store to see the salesperson to express her frustration and he told her that she needs to pay an ADDITIONAL $500 to be able to receive her chairs! On top of that, the china cabinet that she ordered was supposed to be in by June 1st, and now she’s been told it won’t arrive until mid-August. She requested to speak to a manager multiple times, but Jay disregarded her request and stated that he is the manager. My aunt is an honest and respectable woman, and she repeated many times her understanding of the purchase. She is foreign and I believe Jay used that to his advantage. Since then, she was and has not been given any resolution besides the option to purchase the set of chairs that she was led to believe was already paid for. Jay knew that if the chairs were not included and the china table would not arrive for 3 months, she would not have agreed to the purchase. It seems like Jay was more interested in landing the sale and increasing his commissions than being honest and transparent. My aunt was taken advantage of and then ignored, but I can’t ignore what happened.

I walked in to compare the service and options I received at two other furniture stores. I walked to the back right of the store without being greeted or acknowledged. A gentleman walked in my direction, looked at me, and walked away without saying a word. I decided not to continue looking after that point. And took my money elsewhere.

Hands down the worst furniture shopping experience. Me and my husband recently moved and decided to get a sore bedroom set.(we purchased furniture from Gardner white and a bedroom set from Ashley) I got the run around from the sales associate from the minute I decided to buy the bedroom set. I was quoted the wrong price and parts for the bedroom. It took 4 weeks to get a twin bedroom set delivered. I constantly went into the store and each time I got a different story of what was going on. The first time the rails were broken the second time they attempted delivery the box for the bed was missing. The manager and sales associate said they would refund money for the inconvenience. I went to the store and spoke with Ashley’s store manager who was with art van for 23 years and she said she’d call me within 48 hours it’s been a week no phone call no refund. Regardless of the refund. I work in sales myself and I’ve never ever over promised a commitment to a customer and didn’t commit to it. Don’t waste your time with this store. I’ve called corporate 3 times and nothing was resolved . Spend a little more money and get 10x better customer service from Gardner white. I promise you will be disappointed shopping here

Trying for several weeks to get someone to fix some of the problems with our furniture. Hopefully a 1 star will find a live person we can talk to. Very frustrated ready to return $7k of furniture because we can’t us it!

I love this Ashley showroom. It is extremely large with a great variety of furnishings. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jeffrey. He was very cordial and friendly and told us to take our time and look around, if we had any questions he was available. He checked on us a few times which was helpful as we did have questions. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the furniture. We made our selection and he took care of everything even providing his number for a further questions or concerns. The outstanding service, price, and selection will definitely have us coming back.

The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because of Prince, otherwise it would get no stars. Prince in Novi gets 5 stars, the purchase and delivery system get 0 stars. My coffee and end table were supposed to be delivered on April 30. No delivery, no phone call. Call the 800 number for customer service and find out my furniture was put in layaway despite being paid in full. I'm assured I'll get a call from the store manager. Nothing. I call 3 times .. Nothing. Finally I get a person who tells me how to reach the store directly after letting me know my salesperson, Brandon, filled out the paperwork wrong. I call the store, talk to Brandon and supposedly everything is now filled in and I get another delivery date of May 8. No delivery, no call. I call the store and talk to Prince who tells me it's back in layaway because there is no ID picture.. yes we had it copied when we bought the furniture. I text my ID to him. He straightens it all out and delivery is 2 days later Bottom line .. if you go to Novi store, ask for Prince. Only one who seems to know what he's doing. He gets 5 stars.

Jay at Ashley Furniture in Novi is the BEST!! He was so knowledgeable and helpful in making our new sectional couch purchase easier. He helped me figure out the best pieces to fit my space and explained how to clean and keep the couch looking its best. The Ashley Furniture Store is always clean and set up well. The staff is always friendly and have never been pushy salespeople. I’ve purchased a few pieces of furniture from this store and I’ve always received great service from the purchase at the store to delivery.

I wish I could leave a positive review because we really like the look of our new furniture. I didn’t give them a one star review because there were some good things about our experience. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good and, in fact, was so bad we will never buy furniture from them again. The Good: Our sales person Melissa was very friendly and patient with us . We were trying to find a specific look, and she did a great job of helping us mix and match what we ended up with. The delivery experience was fine with no issues. There wasn’t really a lot of assembly to do, but what there was, went fine with no problems. The Really Bad: The problem started about three weeks after we received our TV stand. The latching mechanism on the door broke so the front door wouldn’t stay closed. Since I was in the area for lunch, I stopped in the store to see what could be done. They said they couldn’t do anything at the store, but gave me a phone number to call. I called the number and was told that the store shouldn’t have given me the phone number and, instead I had to log into their website and file a claim with their chat-bot. The chat-bot was able to find my order, but couldn’t find the specific line item on the order. It then told me to have a nice day and disconnected me. I called the phone number again and was told they were having issues and to try it again the next day. I did that with no luck. After trying a few days later, I gave in and called the number again. After telling the person that I refused to interact with the useless chat-bot again, she finally agreed to try and help me. She pulled up the schematics for the TV stand, and proceeded to review them with me on the line for forty five minutes. She could see that the mechanism was there, but she said it was showing three parts. I said, “that’s because there are three doors”. She would then continue to look again and eventually say “I think I found them, but it’s showing three parts not one.” I’d again say, “that’s because there are three doors”. After doing this same dance four times I asked to speak to her supervisor or manager. She then took ten minutes to try and find one. After being on the phone for most an hour I gave up and had to get back to work. I asked her to please have manger call me on my cell phone. She assured me that she would. I never received a call. I called back a few days later and finally got a hold of someone who told me they’d send a tech out on April 26th to repair the TV stand. Great! April 26th comes and nobody shows up. I called in late in the afternoon to see where they were, and the person tells me that they can see I requested that date, but it was never confirmed. They said they had been trying to contact me to set a date, but couldn't get a hold of me. I asked how they were contacting me, Phone? Text? Email? I never received a notification from any of those things. She said that she didn’t know how, but they were trying to contact me. She then said, It might have been through the Chat-bot that I no longer had access to. umm..what? At this point I just said “please get someone out here as quick as you can”. She said the earliest she could get someone was May 31st, more than a month away. After hearing my sad tale she decided to try and see if she could get it moved up. I waited on hold for 25 minutes and then magically the line got disconnected. At that point, I decided to repair the thing myself and cut my losses. It was obvious that they were never going to fix it. The moral to this very long story is that you might have a great experience in the store, but if you have to have warranty work done, you're screwed. We will never buy anything from them again.

KJ was really helpful to my mother and I while making purchases for my bedroom. We are grateful for his service and expertise. We will be returning to Ashley Furniture.

So prior to this happening to my table that was purchased in Oct/Nov 2022 I had great customer service with Skyler and posted a fantastic review but now I have taken that review down not because of him, but because of the quality of the table that I purchased for $2000. Days after my purchase, the table top had black dot marks. Also, one of the cushions on the chair was not flushed properly. I did call customer service and by text and a third-party came out ans replaced the issues since it was within the one year purchase. Needless to say, I did not invest for the after one year warranty that was offered for nearly $400 it was quite costly big mistake. I highly recommend it because I've went through so much misery trying to order additional parts before and after the one year that I have not enjoyed our table since the day we purchased it. The photos shown below are one of the chairs that broke before the one year...and the second chair broke a month after the one year. You don't talk to a live agent and the one time I did it was in Vietnam and you have roosters in the background it was ridiculous our call got cut off and then I was told by my second call to text a number and a live agent will get with me.Trying to get a hold of somebody was like trying to find the tooth fairy. texting back-and-forth back-and-forth and nothing was resolved..Months went by I was desperate since I was treated unfairly without the warranty. I then reached out to the store manager in Jan. 2024. He gave me the runaround and a 1- 800 number that failed me before. Months moving forward April 2024 I went into the showroom again and said please please somebody assist me. I have not had two chairs for my table. I need the best customer service possible. At that time, the lady store manager guided me over to a sales person, that sales person ended up having to help other customers and then I was forward back to Skyler my original salesman that never returned a text message of my concerns prior in which he did explain he did not get it? So there we go again with the runaround they offered me to purchase two more chairs for a 20% discount I'm like are you kidding me? $400 I don't think so. So the sales man emailed the parts dept. for me and there I go back to square one texting somebody in god knows where now? Finally got somewhere we received the two legs for my broken chairs without the hardware at no charge. I was able to put the legs on with the screws that I did save from the prior broken legs unfortunately, I was missing a washer and at this point I'm so worried that this will happen again. I ended up texting customer service back asking for additional legs and hardware to have for the future in case this table won't be in production. I did pay for those additional parts. Be advised please get the warranty or just honestly don't buy from Ashley buy from a company that offers more than one year warranty. This should not happen and I'm just not satisfied with my purchase. Exterior wise it's a great looking table but it's too delicate and made poorly that we can't really enjoy it. Lesson learned.

I had an excellent experience in purchasing a recliner with Jamie. He was most polite, efficient and understanding to my needs. He took great measures in reassuring that I understood all the facts of the purchase and delivery process. I am so looking forward to having my recliner delivered. Thank you Ashley Furniture.

I had a few sofa chaises in mind walking in and luckily was able to test out my top choice and learn it was in stock. Melody was incredibly helpful, sweet, and professional. Not only that, I understand she's a newer member of the team, and everyone working was helpful and cheery - What a great atmosphere they've created! Top tier customer service.

I was going to shop around but the prices and customer service kept me in store and I made the purchase here. I would recommend this store to all my neighbors.

My wife and I came in to look as recliners. Our salesman, Sean was very personable and answered all our questions. We ended up buying a recliner and will be getting this Thursday!

We cannot in good conscience keep our previous rating of 5 stars. We will never purchase from Ashley Furniture again, there is a Gardner & White next door and encourage you to check them out instead. Our experience: we spent hours finding the right couch that would fit our space with careful measurements. We purchased our couch based on the advertised measurements. The couch was delivered and ended up being much smaller than it was advertised. Again, we purchased this couch based on the measurements. It was impossible to get ahold of anyone about this issue. We ended up going back to the store and the sales person working said it wasn’t their issue. We finally got ahold of the person we needed to and they offered a discount on an additional piece that could be added, although we weren’t thrilled with this solution we accepted it. They informed it would be delivered on x date. The date came and went and it never arrived. It turns out it was never scheduled. We called the number for delivery and had it scheduled for a new delivery. The day came and went and it never arrived. I had to call into the help line and they said it wasn’t delivered because the delivery address didn’t match the credit card address - they gladly had already taken our payment for this though. No one had reached out to us either. They had to look into this, correct it and then it was delivered. This whole process was a mess, buying a couch and getting ahold of customer service should not be this difficult. Please feel free to look at other reviews I’ve left for other businesses, I almost never complain but this was absolutely ridiculous - this is not how you treat customers. Again, encourage you to look elsewhere for your furniture needs

The salespeople people were helpful and fun to talk with. OK value for the type of furniture. There are a variety of price point furniture stores in the area from low to higher end. You can day where this falls on the spectrum.

The salesman was great, but the White glove delivery was VERY disappointing!! They were scheduled to be here between 2pm and 5pm. I left work early to be here on time. My wife, who is disabled and starting dimensia, was home and they showed up at 1:30pm. It's a good thing that she was having a good day, cuz she let the guys in to put it in the living room. I am absolutely livid over this situation and probably won't buy from Ashley Furniture in Novi, again. William Armstrong

I feel like I got a full experience and I’m really excited to get my bed delivered!! Update 6/13/24 Nothing but regrets 😝. The bad reviews were the only red flag needed but I ignored them. Doesn’t matter the location don’t ignore the reviews!!

Novi👎 Auburn Hills👍. I had the worst experience at Novi store. The sales people were very nice. However, after I Paid in full at the time I purchased the items and didn’t have the furniture delivered twice on the days I was promised, I got the run around. I called the “866” number to find out what happened to my furniture. They had no active purchase associated with my number. When I finally got a hold of someone, they told me my furniture in layaway because it wasn’t paid in full. I contacted the salesperson who stated she made a mistake. I was told it was taken care of and we made a second delivery date. After it wasn’t delivered on the second date and was promised two extra chairs for my dining room table, I asked the salesperson to have a manager call me. I was told there wasn’t a manager at the store. I left two messages at the store for manager to call. I got no call back. I finally called Auburn Hils store and asked for assistance. I sent all my paperwork to them. They forward to Novi manager and told me to call back if I didn’t get help from Movr management . Again, I heard nothing. I called Auburn Hills. They fixed the mistake with the paperwork. This began on March 22. I still hadn’t heard from manager or salesperson. The Auburn Hills manager put the paperwork through on April 10. I should have a delivery next week 🤞. I hope this is not written prematurely..thank you Austin Dietz for helping me. To this day, I’ve had no call from Novi manager and no two extra chair’s promised for inconvenience. Austin did take off delivery charge!! Thanks again to Austin for stepping up and helping me!!
