This store is a bunch of scam artist be careful! I had 3 month financing And they took ridiculously high payments. The bright side was is my furniture was paid off in six weeks as opposed to three months financing I signed up for . The bad part was I was depending on the three months to pay off the furniture and expecting smaller payments and it sent my finances into a tailspin . Thank you Ashley for continuing to fail to respond and when you do you lie to me and saying you were going to fix the problem. Your customer service is absolutely horrible. You never fix the problem, and you continued to take money out of my account even after my purchase was paid off ! So now I am paying money to them after the purchase is paid for, and there is not anything my bank can do without me completely closing my entire account, causing myself more pain and suffering! I suggest going next-door to White or a different Ashley store!
We went into this store and no one greeted us. To make matters worse I’m part of an interracial couple and the white salesman focused on the white customer in front of us. After we had circled half the store I decided to go find someone to help us. To my surprise the white salesman with blond hair from the entrance had gone and found a black salesman to come and meet and help us. I was mortified that this behavior is still happening in this world today. Walked right past me and never even spoke to me. It was hard to watch this blatant racism in front of me. My decision to buy anything from Ashley Furniture has definitely changed. What a disappointment!

My husband and I came in not knowing what we wanted and were expecting prices way out of our price range when in fact that can’t be further than the truth, Christopher was our Tempur-pedic Sales representative and he took his time explaining what the differences in beds were, and what we needed to start feeling better! We had a horrible bed at home that caused us back Sachs and an even worse couch so not only did we leave with a new bed and frame but we fell in love with a couch too that we added to our order! Ashley’s will definitely have our business in the future! Thank you again to Christopher !
Beware of this loaction. They are very slick sales people. Once your order is place and you have paid, you are not sure you will receive your order. I placed my order 4 months ago, and till today I have not received anyhting. Multiple visits to the store, they tell me it will arrive soon, but nothing comes. I have tried calling Ashley corporate as well. The store has all my information wrong in the system so Corporate doesnt know what is going on. 4 months later I just kep calling them with no resolution. Not sure but be carefull of giving any credit information at this specific loaction.
Horrible customer service seriously the worst store. They lie to you about when you will receive your product. 3 different supervisors helped me ALLLLLLLLLL OF EM BAD. Ordered my Furnature Sept 5. It’s now November 8th and I’m still missing parts with no delivery date

I’m very sad about my experience with Ashley. I ordered a couch from here and it’s taking over 2 months to get delivered. I have been coming home to a home that doesn’t feel like home because the couch has taken so long to get delivered and it’s impacting my mental health and comfort at home. They need to have more stock of their furniture, what’s the point of having such a big furniture store when your items are never in stock?

Honestly one of my worst customer service experiences. I ordered a tv stand back in July. When I went to assemble it, I had two broken pieces (snapped in half) I contacted customer services, which was honestly kind of difficult. Finally I was told I would get replacement parts sent to me. They estimated it would take around 2 weeks. I received no tracking number just another order number. When I chatted with customer service again, they could not even locate the order number in the system. I was basically just waiting for these untraceable parts to show up at my door. They did in fact show up after 6 weeks :/ (twice). I finally got to assemble my tv stand in October where I got to the last step and realized I was missing screws in the tool pack they provided me. I contacted customer service again and they told me they’d send another pack to me. I got that one quicker, but as I went to again assemble with the screws, I realized I did not have the screws in the second pack either. Overall, an extremely frustrating experience. Quality control obviously lacks, customer service is unorganized. I even had gone into the Novi store where I purchased the tv stand for assistance but they basically sent me away to contact customer service. Typical sales people who once they get the sale, you are out of sight out of mind. I simply will probably never buy anything for Ashley again because this process was beyond frustrating.

Had issues with the bed, called them and got exchanged. After that, they sold me the exchanged bet without a box spring so had to call back to resolve the issue. Overall good customer service from management team. Although it was a hassle to get things taken care of.
My purchasing experience was pleasant, but unfortunately the delivery didn't go as well. The morning of my delivery, I called because I had not heard anything. My chair was not on the truck because the area code was wrong so I didn't receive any of their messages. No one emailed me when they didn't get me by phone. She re-scheduled my delivery but said I needed to go in the store & change my area code. I asked if I could call she said no. I called the store & was told for security reason I needed to go in the store. I get to the store they didn't even ask for ID. The day before my delivery I called to confirm & again I wasn't on the schedule. I guess 3 times is a charm. I finally got my chair yesterday.
This is the first time I’ve shopped at Ashley and I’ve had the worst experience ever. The sales person verbally told me that I would have white gloves delivery and in the invoice, I saw that I was charged for delivery so I didn’t think anything of it however, When I had my couch delivered, it was front door delivery only. When I called to see where the miscommunication was, he pretty much said you should’ve checked the invoice before you signed it and didn’t take any accountability. He said he would open a ticket and see if anything can be done and that he would follow up with me in a few days. It’s been over a month and I still have not received a call. Also, the couch was delivered damage which to give credit to customer service they were able to help me out right away. The sales person on the other note couldn’t not care less after the purchase was made.

I just want to say The Ashley Store in Novi was the best Furniture experience I ever had. I have dealt for over 45 years with the other furniture chains and always never felt satisfied after I left. I never knew The Ashley Furniture Store actually make their own furniture. Jeff Schifman was our sales person. He has been in the business and worked for all the Exclusive high end retailers as a buyer for them. Ashley in my opinion is super lucky to have him as an employee. He was the most personable and knowledgeable on all kinds of furniture. They are not pushy and the Prices were excellent. I will be their customer from now on . I usually don’t take the time to do these surveys but It was such a great experience I want other future customers to have the same great experience I had ..

Store had a good selection. Sales folks were very helpful and not pushy!! The overall experience was very positive. The only missing piece was that they don’t haul away the old furniture. This should be included as an add on service to make this a wholistic buying experience.
If I could leave negative stats I would rude receptionists loaders had me load it. It took over a hour and they new I was coming for two days. Scratches on my leather chair. No feet for the foot rest. Horrible experience I will never buy Ashley again.
I have always considered Ashley's furniture to be a high-end store, but my recent experience has been the worst of my life. I placed an order on July 14th and only received a partial order on September 29th, with the final part expected to arrive in October, despite being told that everything was in stock. It's clear that the corporate team needs to take a serious look at the customer feedback. It seems like everyone is having the same issues, so it might be time for a leadership change in this corporation.

Please be very careful when you purchase from Ashley Furniture. Their policy is no refunds or exchanges once the items are in your possession, even if damaged. You must refuse the item immediately; otherwise, they do not help. They do not have their own delivery company, so they hired a third party to deliver, and they damaged our floors. They hid the damage by placing the bed on the damaged area, taking pictures showing no damage, and leaving dirt after assembly. So please take photos of the rooms where furniture is delivered before and after. We moved the bed to clean, and the footboard fell apart(most bolts were not tightend so we had to do our self). The store staff have nothing to do with the customer after the sale. They refer to customer service, so do not even bother contacting the store they offer no help, I asked for the manager and he refered me to call a number. They also left trash outside where they parked. And as you see in the response from the store theyhave nothing to do with the customer after the sale, they refer you to call phone numbers.

Furniture quality is Better then Gardner white. Char was a big help, very friendly and still learning. However, we were overcharged 165.00 dollars then the prices given, so I hope she will take good care of us when we come back for more decor or take it as a tip. Best of luck to you!
From the moment my husband and I walked in we were greeted and when we said we were “soft looking “ for furniture, we weren’t stalked. Char worked with us and was extremely patient, offering us options and she listened to our needs. There was another woman who also helped us (but I can’t remember her name!). Everyone at Ashley was helpful and personable (unlike their nearby competitor with the initials of G&W). Ashley Furniture is excellent quality and more affordable than many others! We purchased two pieces (sofa and loveseat) and are super excited! Thank you Char for your kindness and patience! We WILL return in the future!!
They say that they would match/honor the online price which is a total lie and also try to add the door step delivery to the order which cannot be refused. We knew what we wanted and were ready to work with a rep to close the deal but it didn't work out well. Would probably shop online but beware their store and online policies are way different.

Prices in store marked up way higher and will not match online prices. Shipping was double in store and protection plan marked up $400 more. Save a trip and money and just order online.

Jeffrey Shifman was the associate that we worked with. He was very helpful with answering all of our queries and passing his knowledge about home decoration. He was very demonstrative of the type of fabric and showing us all the details needed for our purchase. Overall all we were very happy with his handling of the entire buying process.
The sale itself was a pleasant experience until they couldn’t deliver on the original date they set up. When it finally arrived, the order was wrong. The salesman couldn’t be reached and the Manager was not helpful at all. I could never find a phone number to directly talk to someone in the store and had to go to elevated levels of customer service at their corporate number. When I went back to the store for the second time after delivery to get it straightened out, Jamie stepped up and rectified the whole situation. He is a great guy and I would highly recommend working with him. I love the furniture, but dealing with the store with something less than a good experience, except for Jamie!

Terrible experience at the Novi Ashley store. My mother bought a $4600 mattress and power base that has never worked. They were supposed to send someone out to help with it, and never showed for it. I called to follow up for her, and was told they won't deal with it and are passing me on to the manufacturer. So I then asked how do I get a refund for this, since it never worked, and was told they have a NO REFUND policy. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS So, the "owner" responds wanting to help, and gives me the same phone number to call that told me they won't help. So I tried the text number to see if they will help. They sent one message, and have ignored since. I have been very polite, and am just asking for some help with this. My mom is 81 years old, and needs some assistance with this. They can't possibly just ignore this, can they?????

He made our first time visiting an Ashley furniture store veryyyyy pleasing and comfortable. If you visit the Novi location and want to feel like an appreciated consumer... then ask for KJ.

Terrrible experience. I waited all day, took off work for my delivery for them to not come. It said they were on the way at 8:49pm after waiting the whole day and then they signed for me, marked it delivered and never came. Not even a phone call. Where is my couch???

This place is the biggest scam ever. Please stay away from this place. Had two orders placed. Decided to cancel one and I had to call 3 times to cancel. Their customer service is AWFUL and the phone numbers that Ashley Novi gives you do not work or they never answer you. They just want to sell you and send you away. After waiting for my refund for 10 plus days I still had not gotten it. Called the customer support again and they stated a ticket for my refund was never created. How can you cancel an order and not expect a refund ?! Especially after I stated I wanted a full refund to my cc. I am still waiting my refund on this of over 2K. My second order was set to come together and that they had it in stock at the store. Nope I got a call that only one part was available and they were shipping it separately. I got the piece and I hated it and decided to try to return it especially since I only had one piece. NOPE. They don’t take any returns or work with you on solving any issues. I canceled the second piece. Still having trouble getting my refund on this as well. This place is such a scam. I will never be purchasing anything from Ashley and I recommend you save yourself the grief and stress.
The best furniture shopping experience in 40+ years thanks to Kia @ Ashley Furniture in Novi, MI! She was intuitive without hovering, knowledgeable but not overbearing. She asked questions about style then guided us to a great selection, pointing out features. I would also like to give a shout out to the entire team, thank you for taking what could have been an excruciating experience and making it enjoyable. 10/10. Go see Kia!!!!!!
Everything was going well until I decided to buy some of the items that was on my bill and return other items. My salesman expressed how upset he was about his permission and threaten to cancel my whole order. I went to the store they were talking about canceling partial order no worries and no thank you cancel the whole thing I went someplace else left there satisfied and I save some money.

I ordered a 4 piece livingroom set in April and all of the pieces didn't come in until June, which was OK. But then we learned they only deliver in our area once a week so I had to take a day off work. When our items were delivered I saw right away the loveseat was damaged. The driver took pictures and said to call the next day and they will replace it. I called and the rep said no, that isn't how they handle things. I had to go on the website, request "parts" and wait for a repair tech to come out. Now the parts are backordered until the end of July. And the repair tech only comes out to my area once a month! I am VERY disappointed in Ashley furniture. I would NOT reccommend!!!

I am writing this on behalf of my aunt. She came to this store in mid-May and purchased a china cabinet, dining table, 2 captain chairs, and 4 other chairs. At least that’s what she thought. She was led astray and lied to multiple times by a specific salesperson named Jay Phillips that day. It was all a mess the day she received her incorrect order. She was given a broken table with no chairs. The broken table was taken back without argument and the delivery team said they would bring her a new one. When she asked them where her chairs were, they simply stated that there aren’t any. When she was in the store, she was assured several times that the $3200 that she spent was including the chairs. She went to the store to see the salesperson to express her frustration and he told her that she needs to pay an ADDITIONAL $500 to be able to receive her chairs! On top of that, the china cabinet that she ordered was supposed to be in by June 1st, and now she’s been told it won’t arrive until mid-August. She requested to speak to a manager multiple times, but Jay disregarded her request and stated that he is the manager. My aunt is an honest and respectable woman, and she repeated many times her understanding of the purchase. She is foreign and I believe Jay used that to his advantage. Since then, she was and has not been given any resolution besides the option to purchase the set of chairs that she was led to believe was already paid for. Jay knew that if the chairs were not included and the china table would not arrive for 3 months, she would not have agreed to the purchase. It seems like Jay was more interested in landing the sale and increasing his commissions than being honest and transparent. My aunt was taken advantage of and then ignored, but I can’t ignore what happened.

Let me just tell you, what the world needs now is compassion and understanding and that is exactly what I found at Ashley furniture- Novi. It may seem an unlikely place, but I was genuinely taken aback by the sincerity and kindness of our furniture guru, Kristin, and her store manager, Tamiko. As first time home buyers, emotions were high as me and my boyfriend were finalizing a large purchase at Ashley. Kristin made me feel so comfortable and answered all of our questions. She encouraged us to take our time- there was no pressure! I will definitely be recommending Ashley furniture- Novi to all my friends and family for all of their furniture needs!

I walked in to compare the service and options I received at two other furniture stores. I walked to the back right of the store without being greeted or acknowledged. A gentleman walked in my direction, looked at me, and walked away without saying a word. I decided not to continue looking after that point. And took my money elsewhere.
KJ was great !! He listens to what you need in a mattress and finds the perfect fit . He wasn’t pushy like the previous sales person we dealt with and a competitor. He gained my business on future purchases.

Hands down the worst furniture shopping experience. Me and my husband recently moved and decided to get a sore bedroom set.(we purchased furniture from Gardner white and a bedroom set from Ashley) I got the run around from the sales associate from the minute I decided to buy the bedroom set. I was quoted the wrong price and parts for the bedroom. It took 4 weeks to get a twin bedroom set delivered. I constantly went into the store and each time I got a different story of what was going on. The first time the rails were broken the second time they attempted delivery the box for the bed was missing. The manager and sales associate said they would refund money for the inconvenience. I went to the store and spoke with Ashley’s store manager who was with art van for 23 years and she said she’d call me within 48 hours it’s been a week no phone call no refund. Regardless of the refund. I work in sales myself and I’ve never ever over promised a commitment to a customer and didn’t commit to it. Don’t waste your time with this store. I’ve called corporate 3 times and nothing was resolved . Spend a little more money and get 10x better customer service from Gardner white. I promise you will be disappointed shopping here
Trying for several weeks to get someone to fix some of the problems with our furniture. Hopefully a 1 star will find a live person we can talk to. Very frustrated ready to return $7k of furniture because we can’t us it!

I love this Ashley showroom. It is extremely large with a great variety of furnishings. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jeffrey. He was very cordial and friendly and told us to take our time and look around, if we had any questions he was available. He checked on us a few times which was helpful as we did have questions. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the furniture. We made our selection and he took care of everything even providing his number for a further questions or concerns. The outstanding service, price, and selection will definitely have us coming back.

The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because of Prince, otherwise it would get no stars. Prince in Novi gets 5 stars, the purchase and delivery system get 0 stars. My coffee and end table were supposed to be delivered on April 30. No delivery, no phone call. Call the 800 number for customer service and find out my furniture was put in layaway despite being paid in full. I'm assured I'll get a call from the store manager. Nothing. I call 3 times .. Nothing. Finally I get a person who tells me how to reach the store directly after letting me know my salesperson, Brandon, filled out the paperwork wrong. I call the store, talk to Brandon and supposedly everything is now filled in and I get another delivery date of May 8. No delivery, no call. I call the store and talk to Prince who tells me it's back in layaway because there is no ID picture.. yes we had it copied when we bought the furniture. I text my ID to him. He straightens it all out and delivery is 2 days later Bottom line .. if you go to Novi store, ask for Prince. Only one who seems to know what he's doing. He gets 5 stars.

Jay at Ashley Furniture in Novi is the BEST!! He was so knowledgeable and helpful in making our new sectional couch purchase easier. He helped me figure out the best pieces to fit my space and explained how to clean and keep the couch looking its best. The Ashley Furniture Store is always clean and set up well. The staff is always friendly and have never been pushy salespeople. I’ve purchased a few pieces of furniture from this store and I’ve always received great service from the purchase at the store to delivery.

I wish I could leave a positive review because we really like the look of our new furniture. I didn’t give them a one star review because there were some good things about our experience. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good and, in fact, was so bad we will never buy furniture from them again. The Good: Our sales person Melissa was very friendly and patient with us . We were trying to find a specific look, and she did a great job of helping us mix and match what we ended up with. The delivery experience was fine with no issues. There wasn’t really a lot of assembly to do, but what there was, went fine with no problems. The Really Bad: The problem started about three weeks after we received our TV stand. The latching mechanism on the door broke so the front door wouldn’t stay closed. Since I was in the area for lunch, I stopped in the store to see what could be done. They said they couldn’t do anything at the store, but gave me a phone number to call. I called the number and was told that the store shouldn’t have given me the phone number and, instead I had to log into their website and file a claim with their chat-bot. The chat-bot was able to find my order, but couldn’t find the specific line item on the order. It then told me to have a nice day and disconnected me. I called the phone number again and was told they were having issues and to try it again the next day. I did that with no luck. After trying a few days later, I gave in and called the number again. After telling the person that I refused to interact with the useless chat-bot again, she finally agreed to try and help me. She pulled up the schematics for the TV stand, and proceeded to review them with me on the line for forty five minutes. She could see that the mechanism was there, but she said it was showing three parts. I said, “that’s because there are three doors”. She would then continue to look again and eventually say “I think I found them, but it’s showing three parts not one.” I’d again say, “that’s because there are three doors”. After doing this same dance four times I asked to speak to her supervisor or manager. She then took ten minutes to try and find one. After being on the phone for most an hour I gave up and had to get back to work. I asked her to please have manger call me on my cell phone. She assured me that she would. I never received a call. I called back a few days later and finally got a hold of someone who told me they’d send a tech out on April 26th to repair the TV stand. Great! April 26th comes and nobody shows up. I called in late in the afternoon to see where they were, and the person tells me that they can see I requested that date, but it was never confirmed. They said they had been trying to contact me to set a date, but couldn't get a hold of me. I asked how they were contacting me, Phone? Text? Email? I never received a notification from any of those things. She said that she didn’t know how, but they were trying to contact me. She then said, It might have been through the Chat-bot that I no longer had access to. umm..what? At this point I just said “please get someone out here as quick as you can”. She said the earliest she could get someone was May 31st, more than a month away. After hearing my sad tale she decided to try and see if she could get it moved up. I waited on hold for 25 minutes and then magically the line got disconnected. At that point, I decided to repair the thing myself and cut my losses. It was obvious that they were never going to fix it. The moral to this very long story is that you might have a great experience in the store, but if you have to have warranty work done, you're screwed. We will never buy anything from them again.

So prior to this happening to my table that was purchased in Oct/Nov 2022 I had great customer service with Skyler and posted a fantastic review but now I have taken that review down not because of him, but because of the quality of the table that I purchased for $2000. Days after my purchase, the table top had black dot marks. Also, one of the cushions on the chair was not flushed properly. I did call customer service and by text and a third-party came out ans replaced the issues since it was within the one year purchase. Needless to say, I did not invest for the after one year warranty that was offered for nearly $400 it was quite costly big mistake. I highly recommend it because I've went through so much misery trying to order additional parts before and after the one year that I have not enjoyed our table since the day we purchased it. The photos shown below are one of the chairs that broke before the one year...and the second chair broke a month after the one year. You don't talk to a live agent and the one time I did it was in Vietnam and you have roosters in the background it was ridiculous our call got cut off and then I was told by my second call to text a number and a live agent will get with me.Trying to get a hold of somebody was like trying to find the tooth fairy. texting back-and-forth back-and-forth and nothing was resolved..Months went by I was desperate since I was treated unfairly without the warranty. I then reached out to the store manager in Jan. 2024. He gave me the runaround and a 1- 800 number that failed me before. Months moving forward April 2024 I went into the showroom again and said please please somebody assist me. I have not had two chairs for my table. I need the best customer service possible. At that time, the lady store manager guided me over to a sales person, that sales person ended up having to help other customers and then I was forward back to Skyler my original salesman that never returned a text message of my concerns prior in which he did explain he did not get it? So there we go again with the runaround they offered me to purchase two more chairs for a 20% discount I'm like are you kidding me? $400 I don't think so. So the sales man emailed the parts dept. for me and there I go back to square one texting somebody in god knows where now? Finally got somewhere we received the two legs for my broken chairs without the hardware at no charge. I was able to put the legs on with the screws that I did save from the prior broken legs unfortunately, I was missing a washer and at this point I'm so worried that this will happen again. I ended up texting customer service back asking for additional legs and hardware to have for the future in case this table won't be in production. I did pay for those additional parts. Be advised please get the warranty or just honestly don't buy from Ashley buy from a company that offers more than one year warranty. This should not happen and I'm just not satisfied with my purchase. Exterior wise it's a great looking table but it's too delicate and made poorly that we can't really enjoy it. Lesson learned.
We walked in and was greeted with smile and guy was very helpful and not pushy at all. We got alot of stuff that day living room 2 beds and bedroom stuff. Everyone was helpful and very nice and didn’t try to over sell me or my family. I never been there before but I will be back.

We cannot in good conscience keep our previous rating of 5 stars. We will never purchase from Ashley Furniture again, there is a Gardner & White next door and encourage you to check them out instead. Our experience: we spent hours finding the right couch that would fit our space with careful measurements. We purchased our couch based on the advertised measurements. The couch was delivered and ended up being much smaller than it was advertised. Again, we purchased this couch based on the measurements. It was impossible to get ahold of anyone about this issue. We ended up going back to the store and the sales person working said it wasn’t their issue. We finally got ahold of the person we needed to and they offered a discount on an additional piece that could be added, although we weren’t thrilled with this solution we accepted it. They informed it would be delivered on x date. The date came and went and it never arrived. It turns out it was never scheduled. We called the number for delivery and had it scheduled for a new delivery. The day came and went and it never arrived. I had to call into the help line and they said it wasn’t delivered because the delivery address didn’t match the credit card address - they gladly had already taken our payment for this though. No one had reached out to us either. They had to look into this, correct it and then it was delivered. This whole process was a mess, buying a couch and getting ahold of customer service should not be this difficult. Please feel free to look at other reviews I’ve left for other businesses, I almost never complain but this was absolutely ridiculous - this is not how you treat customers. Again, encourage you to look elsewhere for your furniture needs
The salespeople people were helpful and fun to talk with. OK value for the type of furniture. There are a variety of price point furniture stores in the area from low to higher end. You can day where this falls on the spectrum.
The salesman was great, but the White glove delivery was VERY disappointing!! They were scheduled to be here between 2pm and 5pm. I left work early to be here on time. My wife, who is disabled and starting dimensia, was home and they showed up at 1:30pm. It's a good thing that she was having a good day, cuz she let the guys in to put it in the living room. I am absolutely livid over this situation and probably won't buy from Ashley Furniture in Novi, again. William Armstrong

Novi👎 Auburn Hills👍. I had the worst experience at Novi store. The sales people were very nice. However, after I Paid in full at the time I purchased the items and didn’t have the furniture delivered twice on the days I was promised, I got the run around. I called the “866” number to find out what happened to my furniture. They had no active purchase associated with my number. When I finally got a hold of someone, they told me my furniture in layaway because it wasn’t paid in full. I contacted the salesperson who stated she made a mistake. I was told it was taken care of and we made a second delivery date. After it wasn’t delivered on the second date and was promised two extra chairs for my dining room table, I asked the salesperson to have a manager call me. I was told there wasn’t a manager at the store. I left two messages at the store for manager to call. I got no call back. I finally called Auburn Hils store and asked for assistance. I sent all my paperwork to them. They forward to Novi manager and told me to call back if I didn’t get help from Movr management . Again, I heard nothing. I called Auburn Hills. They fixed the mistake with the paperwork. This began on March 22. I still hadn’t heard from manager or salesperson. The Auburn Hills manager put the paperwork through on April 10. I should have a delivery next week 🤞. I hope this is not written prematurely..thank you Austin Dietz for helping me. To this day, I’ve had no call from Novi manager and no two extra chair’s promised for inconvenience. Austin did take off delivery charge!! Thanks again to Austin for stepping up and helping me!!

Wearhouse witholding paid for couch. There was miscommunication with sales rep and wearhouse. Wearhouse manager refusing to help after confirming communication between sales rep and Wearhouse for pick up. They do in fact have the purchased couch but not releasing it. Employees were rude from initial encounter. Likely end in disputed charges on credit card because the Wearhouse doesn't want to get the paid for couch from the back.

Purchased a living room set during the Presidents' Day sale. Put it on layaway because I was about to close on a house, so I paid 10% down. Went in after closing and paid the remainder in full. The scheduling team was being very difficult about setting a delivery that worked with my schedule, so I decided to cancel. I talked to the Westland store and they promised a full refund for both the amount of layaway and for the final payment. He said he would reach out yo management in Novi, which I believe he did do.The sales person I spoke to in store had given me his phone number so I spoke to him and he promised me he would get it canceled. It has been three weeks since then and now he is dodging me instead. Seems they think I'll just give up on getting back nearly $3000.

The worst buying experience of my life. Inside the store everything was great. They showed us couches that fit what we were looking and assured us that the team bringing the furniture would take our old furniture. That was a must have because I can't do it by myself and need the furniture gone if we are bringing new stuff in. We don't have that much space. After picking a couch, we let them talk us into a mattress because we needed one so desperately, so we said screw it, we spent less on the couch than anticipated so let's get the bed. We left excited. When the mattress came we were told they couldn't take our old one because they weren't bagged. They needed to be bagged because of our pets. I asked if they had bags, but no the store was supposed to provide them. So I moved it to my back room. After the mattress guys left I discovered a hole in my drywall right above my bed. They said nothing to me about it and were gone by the time I noticed. This sucked, but it wasn't the end of the world. A week later the couch is coming. I get a call from the delivery guy and he tells me that one piece of the couch is the wrong color and asked if I wanted the other two pieces. I said I needed to call the Ashley store to see what was going on but before I could I was called two more times! Once by the same driver and again by their manager demanding I tell them if they are delivering the couch. I said yes, deliver it just not the piece that's wrong. They arrive and proceed to tell me that they don't take old furniture. So now I have 2/3 of my couch, my old couch and chair all in my one small room. I finally call the Ashley store..well the customer service line and they assured me they will get it fixed and have someone from the store call me. When I did get a call the phone disconnected as soon as I answered and when I called back it went back to customer service and they didn't know who called. But that lady did tell me that she was going to submit the new order immediately. The next day I got a text to schedule delivery. So no I did. When they delivered it...it was the wrong color still. After 4 or 5 more phone calls and a tweet I finally got another delivery for an exchange scheduled for over a week later. I've taken multiple days off work in order to be home for this delivery. I've spent hours on the phone trying to solve this issue and they've don't next to nothing to assist me or try to make this up to me. I'll never shop here again.

Would highly caution against buying from them. I purchased a living room set in January and was told it would be delivered by February 14th. It has been delayed 3 times now with no sure date for delivery. They estimate in April now, which I wouldn't be surprised if it was pushed back again. The store has not helped me and communication with Ashley has been poor. I should have used the store as a showroom and ordered online. Edit: order is now delayed 3 more weeks. This is the fourth time Ashley has delayed my order. Order not expected until mid May. The store doesn't care, be aware before you buy.
We met with Ladonna Tennant who has not been there long. She was amazing and super friendly. We didn’t make it easy for her because we purchased a sectional ,did the paperwork ,and then before we left we found a different sectional we liked. She handled this with class and management made it work for us to get the other sectional. Prices were very fair.

My Sofa sleeper was brought in and placed with my white glove delivery that I paid for. They brought it in took packaging off and put legs on. Put the cushions on and pillows and asked me to sign. They walk out and I walk over to look at it only to find one arm completely busted and broken....fabric ripped. Unmistakable! I called the two mover guys to come back in and the one mover said I wondered what that rattling noise was!!!!! Are you kidding! White Glove Service! I told them to pack it up and take it back. Now no new sofa!

Horrible experience. We ordered a sectional couch from here a few months ago. Our "Home Furnishing Specialist" was Skylar. Most of what we were told was factual, but they do not stand by there products. After just a few months the built in phone charge (which never worked great to begin with) completely stopped working and just has a blinking light constantly. The only way to stop the annoying blinking is to unplug that section which then means we cannot recline the couch. The process to get someone out here to fix this has been horrible. I just now found out that our tentative date to repair is still ONE MONTH away. So we have owned the couch for about 5 months and it will have been broken for about 3 to 4 of those months. Assuming that it gets fixed next month. I will absolutely NEVER shop at Ashley Furniture ever again and I would encourage anyone in the market to look elsewhere before buying from this company. Probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any company (including cable companies) Additionally, the installers removed the handles on our new doorwalls and put them back together incorrectly (backwards), so that was something that I just fixed on my own, since I'm sure it would have taken a few months to get someone out here.
RUNNNNN!!! do NOT shop at Ashley, specifically the Novi store-save yourself the grief, agony, and headache!! I wish I had read the horrible reviews before stepping foot into the store. Our salesman Eric Gordon was a joke, Joe Steel and Nate from management are jokes and anybody from customer support to guest relations are even bigger jokes! at this point, almost 2.5 months in of ordering furniture, I am convinced the entire furniture store is a complete scam, crooks and frauds. their third-party "white glove delivery" has delivered me broken sofas three different attempts, rescheduling these broken sofas on the day of delivery because they " just found out" they are on back order?? REALLY? You can't speak to a manager-they will reach out to you when "they're ready!" I have hired an attorney to handle this matter because I am sick and tired of the continuous runaround and excuses. They have yet to pick up the broken rocker recliner that they delivered to me. I was advised to continue refusing the rest of the set. My attorney is working diligently with my bank to sort this financial burden out and has also made a complaint against Ashley with Better Business Bureau! I sure do hope people read any of these reviews before considering going to Ashley-I think their motto is completely comical "Americas 1 furniture and home store!" In fact, they are Americas 1 fraudulent and worst furniture home store. Sadly, in order for me to post this review, I had to give them at least one star they are not deserving of any stars of any kind :(

Great place to shop for furniture, I have never felt so welcoming to enter into this Novi Ashley furniture, my sales associate was Brandon.He work in the mattress department and also on the sales floor I never walked into a store and all employees were very happy and friendly. This store here is the best furniture store experience I have ever had in many years I have walked in lots of furniture store where the employees were looking to tired or asking what brought you in today. I just look at them and say just looking and they walk away and no help after that but not at Asley I walk into the store and begin to walk around and soon as Brandon seen me, he was so funny he said come try these mattress out we have here and see what one you would choose,I said Im not here for a mattress I'm looking for a living room set not really wanting to buy at the time.But after seeing how they treated every customer like family I couldn't leave without realizing that this is the place I would love to spend my money with.Thank you Ashley furniture for hiring professional sales associates especially Brandon and thank you for the opportunity to allow me to have a wonderful experience.

The sales people in store are great to work with and super helpful, however, the customer service and delivery process at Ashley is beyond horrible. For one, they make getting to a customer service rep so incredibly hard. I literally had to walk into the store after talking to 5 people who couldn't help me because there was no way to call the store directly. I've had multiple issues with my loveseat purchase and delivery so I've talked to at least 6 people and all but one of them showed no empathy, was disorganized, made promises to get me off the phone and was not helpful in general. My loveseat was delivered almost 2 months later than expected and has a scratch in the leather. I will never purchase from them again because their customer service has been so bad.

Had no issues with the Novi store specifically, or the sale person; however, with Ashley Furniture as a whole the process was a disaster. My first deliver was supposed to be Jan 20, Ashley canceled the deliver the day before. Rescheduled for Jan 31st, Ashley canceled an hour before. I was without furniture for 3 wks as I moved the old furniture out to make room for the new as Ashley suggested. On 2/9 I received one of my 3 fulfillments and hopefully on 2/15 the last two items will be delivered.
Well I wanted to love it. Nice sales person. Transaction was quick. Took day off for delivery. Received no notice that our order was cancelled. Called 800 number. Waited for 20 minutes for someone to not beable to help me. Called the other phone number on receipt. Says it’s a non working number. Do now I have no furniture , I didn’t get paid for the day I took off, and no one to talk to. Update finally talked to someone in the US who put me on hold for 20 minutes just to hang up on me. Thankfully store manager in novi was great. Rest of Ashley corporate? Dismal Update 2: lots of promises from store manager and corporate. Again, no call back from anyone. Again on hold for 20 minutes just to talk to someone
Everything was great. Jeffrey was extremely helpful. He even showed us other options that he thought we might like. We will definitely be coming back and using Jeffery again. Respectful, didn’t hard sell us, and gave us really good information regarding each piece

My time at the Ashley furniture store was anything short of fantastic. My sales person, Brandon, a joy to work with along with everyone who I met in the store. For anyone that is apprehensive in walking into a furniture store like the old days where they’re just waiting for you at the door you can put your mind at ease. This is a very no pressure look at your leisure, not hounded at all type of store however, I went in there, looking for one thing, and completely changed my view. Friendly without being pushy
Throughout our furniture hunt journey we went to a couple of Ashley stores in the area and Novi store was something else! Jeffrey welcomed us when we walked in and explained to us how things are distributed in the store and how the pieces can be changed by color and size. He walked with us throughout the store and gave us his professional opinion and advised us with what works out in our space. We had to go back and forth because we were limited with our choices due to our small area but he made sure we left satisfied every single time and we got our living room and bedroom from there. Novi store wasnt close to where we live but it was worth the drive! The manager there -Joe- is awesome! He is super friendly and helped us with our mattress and was always on top of things and made sure we got what we needed and more! Everyone working at that store is super nice and knowledgeable! Highly recommend this place!!

As of an hour ago I would have given 5 stars. Unfortunately the delivery of my son's bedroom set was canceled without any notice to me. I called to get a delivery time update, it wasn't until then I found out the delivery was canceled due to items being on backorder. The only reason they have two stars opposed to one is because my sales rep KJ went above and beyond to help. Now until the furniture is delivered my son has to sleep on the couch since we already sold his old furniture, big inconvenience.

Our experience was great. My family and I walked in to look for a new bedroom set for my wife and I, along with a new bed for our daughter. We were greeted by a polite and knowledgeable salesman, who was not pushy at all. He helped us find what we wanted, and he was very personable. The Ashley store will definitely be at the top of our list the next time we buy furniture.
Spent 1600 on a new bed and mattress to be delivered. On day of delivery, no notice or window so I call store which all phones go overseas. I'm told that the item was on layaway which it was not - it was paid in full at purchase (charge card charged in full). No one could help, they just kept saying its on layaway and I can't call the store because all the phone numbers go to call center. I canceled order and have no confidence that will work either with this terrible service model. I'll have to physically go to the store most likely to cancel my order and get my money back.
I went to Ashley furniture not really sure whether I’d buy something. While the salesman Sean made himself present he was very kind and I didn’t feel pressured at all. The sales manager and another gentleman were all very friendly and kind. It was a very comfortable experience. I look forward to doing more work with them.

Prince and Skyler were extremely patient and helpful! Several times Skyler relocated a piece of furniture so that I could see it with something else - not because I asked him too... because he insisted! They also worked together to find me the best deals. I was extremely happy with the service. I had no idea I spent 3 hours in there furnishing my entire house.

We ordered a 5 piece sectional back in the middle of November. We were finally contacted regarding receiving our furniture at the end of December. After waiting all that time today we only received 2 pieces of our couch when we were promised and suppose to receive 3 pieces. We received a chase and an armless section. We were suppose to also have a left arm, making an entire couch. We were aware we would have to wait for the other 2 pieces to be delivered at a later time next week being they were special add ons. But we expected our full couch today in the mean time. After delivery of our 2 pieces I called and got different answers from 3 different people that were not willing to help or do anything besides say sorry and say our pieces are now on back order or will be delivered at different dates, everything was so uncoordinated and did not match up. We simply want our items we were promised and when they said they would be here. We have had a good experience with Ashley in the past and everything in the store went seamless with a great sales person for this order but right now I am disappointed especially as I am paying good money for this furniture.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find what we were looking for, but Melissa took our email and promised to send us anything new that might interest us. Also, we did find a desk on clearance that we liked. She went out of her way to let us know we could actually get it cheaper online with free delivery! Very unselfish, extremely professional, if you shop this store, definitely ask for Melissa!
So frustrating being connected to the call center and talking to randoms across the country.... It it takes forever to get any repair or faulty damage product to be looked at or taken care of. Just spoke with the store manager in Novi beyond unprofessional kept moving the phone around didn't talk to me with comfort, but threw me to a one 800 number shame on him...we will not be purchasing any furniture from your store and your turnaround is ridiculous. You need to go out of business.

RUN ... I should have looked at reviews prior to spending a couple of Thousand Dollars! I usually give companies the benefit of doubt since so many people tend not to leave positive reviews. This store may receive them - I completed a survey and gave them GREAT Reviews. Talk about Buyers Remorse.First - The salesman misrepresented not only the furniture we were buying, but also promised us a delivery date. Since we were only going to be in town briefly, we went ahead and bought a sectional.Second - On the day the sectional was to be delivered, I waited all morning long. Since I didn't receive a call, we called the customer service number. We were told that we were not scheduled to receive the furniture until a week after we would be gone. This caused us to have to rent a U-Haul at the last minute and pick our order up from 14 mile and Van Dyke (a 53 mile one way drive).Third - the furniture was loaded onto our truck, but was packaged and wrapped - not giving us the ability to examine it. We took it on faith it would be undamaged. NOTE: IF YOU ARE PICKING UP ANYTHING - EXAMINE IT PRIOR TO HAVING IT LOADED INTO YOUR VEHICLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!Once we got home, we unpackaged the sectional. One section was damaged by a Forklift. The bottom frame was completely broken in the corner.FORTH and Most Importantly: You can not reach anyone with this company. Our salesman took our call once - said he was going to help us facilitate the replacement. WRONG. Our salesman just referred us to Customer Service via text! To add insult to injury, you have an option to either leave a message for customer service and request a text. That's right.... you have to deal with customer service by text message. This company does not give you ANY chance to contact an actual person. Try calling the Novi store directly??? No chance. You go to a general off site call center.I have never dealt with a company so unprofessional. I feel as is they got my money and now I am a nobody. The support is awful. Currently from waiting for delivery and trying to facilitate the damage to my furniture, I have spent at least 11 hours. I am no closer to getting this resolved except a message that a service tech will come out.I will NEVER EVER purchase anything from Ashley Furniture.My Advise - and I very rarely write a negative review - is Shop Elsewhere. Once they have your money, they do not care. And for the record.... the furniture cost is not cheap, but it is cheaply made. You are better off going to a high quality store and shoop American Made products.Disgusted, Disappointed, Dissatisfied and the treatment is Unacceptable

We went furniture shopping for a sectional couch with a very restricted size and space. As we entered Ashley, we were approached by Brandon. Brandon was great. He was friendly and listened to what our needs were in the furniture we were looking for. Brandon took us around and explained configurations. He was knowledgeable with the different materials, comfort and durability. After showing us several couches, he allowed us the time and privacy to discuss the furniture as well as walk around the store at other alternatives. It was refreshing to go into the store to look for furniture, be given options and not be followed around. We did end up purchasing a sectional from Brandon, and should we ever need other furniture, we will request him again. He has a customer for life because of his knowledgeable, laidback approach.

I've been delaying trip to furniture store due to past experiences with salespeople. Black Friday sale brought me to Ashley in Novi. Within minutes of walking in I was greeted by Gabe and immediately felt at ease. He made the process painless! I appreciated Gabe's demeanor and because of him Ashley will be my go to. With so many stores and sales to choose from, in my opinion it's not what's being offered that matters. The value is found in HOW it's done. Ashley got it right with Gabe.

Not even worth a star. I have purchased the bedroom furniture set couple months before the wedding, which was in July of 2021. However, Seller Jefferey said I will have everything by end of the year. This is when all HELL started. Everything started getting pushed back and some of the partial delivery I get comes broken. Delivery people just drop the item and try to leave when I can see clearly the drawer sets are broken. Even bed frame they just screw the hell without looking at the instruction. Some were installed with wrong screw and could not be disassembled. Also, some of the screws were grinded which I could not turn any more to take off the screw. Even the people who came from CHICAGO pick up the broken furniture said People delivering at Detroit location always do this and they get the blame. Seller Jefferey instead of taking responsibility he avoided. I got sick and tired of waiting, because my wife was pregnant and didn't want her to sleep with the bed on the floor. I have been calling months and months demanding for refund. I have purchased the bedroom set on Madison Heights Location and found out the Seller Jefferey has moved to Novi Location. I call both places, only thing they would say is there is nothing they can do because furniture's are delivered. Delivery people deliver the furniture broken, what the hell do you mean there is nothing you can do? I have called been calling the place over a month and finally got me through corporate office and I got full refund. I went to crate and barrel immediately and got the furniture I wanted in 3 months. DON'T BUY FURNITURES FROM THIS PLACE.

This store is the worst!!! I purchased a couch and loveseat on the first of October 2023. After looking at many stores for some time. First of all the when the furniture was supposed to be delivered it did not happen because they wanted to deliver the furniture (after I told them when I would be home) at the time they designated. After many calls they finally delivered the furniture. Well the couch and loveseat are damaged. I have texted and called several times numbers I was given and was told parts were ordered and if I need help when they arrive to contact them again and they will send out a technician. I have no idea what parts they are talking about. I did not purchase damaged furniture nor do I want damaged or repaired furniture when I paid for new furniture and that is what I expect NEW FURNITURE . It is awful the way this place treats their customers!!!! Buyers beware of this place.

We got a sectional less than a year ago. The employees were very helpful. The reason for the low rating is because of the warranty. We put a claim in on the sectional due to pilling of the fabric. When I say pilling, I mean every bottom cushion and every back cushion was pilling. All of this in 10 months. The claim was denied because this is "normal wear". There is no conceivable way that 90% of the surface area of each cushion should look like this in 10 months.
The manager of the store who helped me he was really nice man very helpful. He took care of me very well, and I appreciate him so much.
Dawan was great and showed me mattresses in my price range, started me off right on my mattress shopping experience. On an unrelated note, the sleep specialists need to actually wash their lab coats, nothing's more off putting than a green/yellow tinted lab coat. Ew

Super strange experience here. I ordered furniture from here. It arrived quickly within a week. Everything looked good at first sight. I noticed a scratch in the table and 2 of the 8 chairs were wobbly so I called the salesperson who helped me in the store and someone answered the cell phone (from the business card) and said "what do you want?" No hello or normal greeting... When I told them I was calling to talk about the table that was delivered, they were like when was it delivered? Why didn't you tell the delivery people about it? And then about 4 minutes in, another person grabbed the phone and said they were on a golf outing and their friend drank too much and can I call them tomorrow? I said okay, and then they didn't hang up and I heard them yell at the other person and then ask them why they answered and then followed up by saying "they don't give a sh*t but they hope the guy had fun." THIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL THING I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Take your money elsewhere.

Jeffery S. was a great salesman. He spent a lot of time allowing me to try out every bed I was looking to purchase. Making the right choice was by far one of the biggest decisions I’ve made in a long time. He knew that I needed a lot of questions answered, and if he didn’t know the answer, he researched until he got me an answer. I can go anywhere and get a bed, but the salesman who provided me with all the information I needed, and gave me great guest service is the reason that I will return back to that store for my future needs.

This is so bad... now he does not have a place to sleep in a small room.If I called a customer care they informed that they cannot do any thing as sales team had not kept the message on the order to remove it.. White Glove Delivery is only for delivery not for removal.. the sales team told that it is both delivery and removal.. this is insane ... The purchase experience was excellent..The pick up experience at Ashley’s warehouse, not so much! I like to shop at Ashley furniture stores and give my business to the salespeople. This ensure there will still be stores to view items. I often do this for things like side tables and lamps even though I can usually find their products less expensive online at Amazon. Honestly, I wish I has purchased my side tables on Amazon today! Their warehouse is a mess to pick up any items. After driving in 40 minutes of traffic (not their fault!) and providing the information to their customer pickup ladies, I waited an additional 35 minutes for them to bring the two small side tables to the loading area. There were no other customers waiting…they simply weren’t paying attention. When I got home, it occurred to me that I paid $40 extra, and wasted 3 hrs of my time when I should have just bought it on Amazon. I hate to see furniture stores close but they need to improve their customer service process to remain competitive. Just sayin’!
In store the people were great, knowledgeable, and friendly. The only issue is that they told me I would be able to get it delivered on Friday. Then, when the time came for it to be delivered, they said they are closed on Friday. So now I have to rearrange my schedule and lose money to accommodate for their bad information

They’ll rip you off!!! I purchased a sectional and ottoman on 6/18 and happened to check online the same day, it was about $400 cheaper online. I called right away and the agent I worked with, KJ told me he would adjust the price right away. Over a week went by, I never received a credit in my account. Called KJ back, was told he’d get with the manager Nate and I’d receive a call the next day. Never received a call, I left a voicemail for KJ about a week later. Then July 14 I WENT INTO THE STORE. Shocking, KJ and Nate weren’t there. I was told by a Jessie that the other manager Candace was on lunch and would do the adjustment when she got back, and he’d call me when it’s done…. Well, it’s now July 21st and I still have no credit and no communication from them. Such a joke!!! Make sure you check the online price before you go in!!!

But the original salesman - KJ, was the most helpful and pleasant to work with which is why I came back to make a purchase, I just regret that he was off that day, but I did state that I wanted him to get credit for this sale.
Choosing a couch proved to be a difficult decision! I had gone to every furniture store in Novi, 2-3 times before making a decision. Ashley’s continued to have the best selection, what appeared to be highest quality, and a wide range of prices for different budgets. The sales reps were knowledgeable, helpful, and a pleasure to work with.

Went in looking for a chair for a nursery. Jeffery S. took us around to all the different rockers and gliders and helped us make a decision. We were happy to find out door step delivery was free and chair was reasonably priced. I got nervous that the chair wouldn't fit through our small bedroom doors, so I went back the next day and 3 other salesmen helped reassure me it would fit no problem. Less than a week later the chair is in our nursery and looks great!
Not easy to find furniture today, further be concerned on when you can get it but the staff at this location were EXTREMELY helpful, fun & kind. I would/ will refer this location in a second because of them. I've been to 3 locations in the past week, none of which could top these guys. Walked out happy. Thank you Charmaine, Skyler and Jesse.
About 6 months ago I purchased a couch, a bed, a table, and a dresser. The delivery experience was horrendous due to poor communication, incorrect communication, and overall difficulty reaching someone who can help us. I decided to cancel my order due to all the headaches. Fast forward to now and I figured just a mattress won't be a problem to order. I expressed my previous bad experience with KJ at the store and he promised that this time it'll be better as they changed delivery companies. It turned out to be like since the distributor is still DSG. Strike 1, they had the wrong address on the delivery but luckily I caught wind of it. I called them to correct this and they directed me to go into the store to do so. I updated my address in person at the store. Strike 2, they never showed up at the time scheduled. When I called they said they didn't receive my new address. Due to these issues, they offered to deliver it 3 days later as the last stop since I am at work during business hours. Strike 3, they showed up as the first stop when I wasn't home. I called to reschedule again and now they are saying the item is on back order. I plan on going in to cancel the order, filing a complaint with the BBB and never setting foot in this store. This is an issue with their distributor in Michigan. The store itself is wonderful and the staff is doing their best. Unfortunately they are crippled by DSG. Save your money and better yet, save your time and save yourself from frustrating experiences. Don't buy from Ashley's
I just visit Ashley for the first time and I love the furniture they have some of there coffee tables are so different but beautiful
Apparently, they don't have a return policy - they said once it is delivered, you own it and cannot return it. The same outdoor furniture set on their website is ~$700 cheaper. We still had it in box as is but since it is already delivered to our house, we cannot return it and we own it. After we opened, one of the cushions was dirty and I called the 800 number and they said that cushion cannot be replaced since it has been 72 hours since delivery. Their customer service on the phone was extremely rude and unwilling to help. Overall, a big mistake for us buying furniture from this store, we will not make this mistake again. You would think that spending nearly 3K on outdoor furniture set, they would provide some level of customer service when things don't go right. Very disappointed and I would not recommended purchasing from this place.

Purchased a sectional couch and matching chair from Ashleys in Novi, Michigan. We gave the salesman our measurements. He said he measured the couch and it would work for is. The furniture was delivered about 3 weeks ago. Within minutes of the delivery people leaving our home we observed the furniture, particularly the couch, was to big for the room. We tried calling all afternoon but no one answered the phone. We went to the store the next day just as they were opening to obtain a refund or exchange for something that would work for us. The manager we spoke with told us they would not due anything to assist us. We have made multiple calls to the store since then. When we were able to get someone on the phone they would promise to have someone call us back in 24 to 48 hours. We received no return calls. We went back to the store 3 times and received promises of help from 2 other managers. These people never called back either. Worst store we have ever dealt with. I wouldn't recommend this store to anybody. We also purchased an extended warranty. They told us when we bought it that we would get our money back at the end of the 5 years if we don't use it. Shame on me for trusting the salesman and not carefully reading the paperwork. In looking it over I now realize that what we were told was not true. The paperwork says the best we can hope for is a store credit. Totally worthless since under no circumstances would we ever shop there again.

The service in the store is very poor bad knowledge of the item !! Bad quality of furniture they delivered table with stain on it !!! Rug we never received it has been more than three weeks now and they said 5 business days and very poor custom service number they don’t have any info about my order !!!! Literally total mess !!!! I do not recommend it at all !!!!

Too overpriced
Salesperson was great! He allowed us to browse without him, but checked with us periodically. When we finally expressed an interest in 3 accent pieces, he clinched the deal by offering 60% off. Although we hadn't yet investigated 2 other nearby stores, I couldn't say no to the 60% off incentive. It was a good decision, because they now look beautiful in my home!

My daughter and I visited Ashley furniture store to purchase a sofa for her home. Jeffrey was our sales person and was amazing! He answered all questions and made this process quick and easy! He explained the difference in sofa fabrics and although the particular sofa we wanted wasn’t in the store, he showed us a sofa similar, which made us feel comfortable with ordering the one we wanted. All other associates were just as nice. The manager even came out and thanked us for visiting the store. The Customer service here was definitely 10/10! This was my first time visiting this store and will be returning!

I would give them -5 stars if I could. Horrible costumer service. We bought our couches less than a year ago and after the first month they were completely flat and sagging. We contacted them back in January about this problem and it is now may and it has still not been solved. We have scheduled multiple appointments for someone to come look at the couches and no one shows up. They have been running my husband around in circles. Do not buy from this place unless u want garbage furniture and horrible customer service.
It was just ok nothing spectacular nothing horrible other than one of the couches that's supposed to charge your phone actually broke my phone. Was able to negotiate to a fair price for a couch. Delivery is fast.

We purchased two couches spend 6 k with white glove delivery. After five attempts to get the right color etc. we are still missing legs on the big couch which the original delivery guy took it with him. (Some white glove delivery). Very disappointed for the amount and afford , time is involved for a simple purchase.

Oh if I could do zero stars, I would. They came and delivered a mattress and frame. I had to leave and go to work so I was not there for the delivery. I received a picture from my boyfriend and it wasn’t even the bed that I had ordered. So I had to text a picture of what they brought and send them a picture of the one I ordered, never heard anything back. I had to call hold it to me for him to tell me a week later that an exchange was approved. Not one person from customer service or anything called to talk with me about this situation not to apologize that they had messed up or anything. But when I called to figure out what’s going on they didn’t like that and they had something to say then. So I was told that they were going to come and exchange it the person that sold it to me said he he was setting up the delivery, and the day before I get a text message asking to schedule a delivery says choose option 1,2, or 3. Only sent me one action. Then the day before my delivery , it was canceled. I haven’t heard anything since. This is by far the worst customer experience that I’ve ever had any type of store. I want them to come get everything they delivered. Since it’s been over seven days, I can’t do that. So I still don’t have what I ordered and I have no idea if I’m ever gonna get it. I would not recommend this company to another person, save yourself a headache and go somewhere else unless you like nightmares. This company is all about dollars and they don’t give a poop about their customers. I know it shows a one star but I get them -5 stars. I’m baffled on how they treat people for something that they did wrong. I could go on for hours, but please don’t waste your time with this company. $6500 for something I did not order.
Update 5/23 We emailed that address you provided and *surprise* no one responded. The store also never contacted us again after we called at least a dozen times - each time they promised they'd get back to us. We had to make arrangements with our City to remove the old mattress. Nice mattress - TERRIBLE customer service. ________________________________________________ We purchased a mattress at this location and in our agreement, they were supposed to take our old mattress and box spring at delivery. They refused to and the store admitted this was their fault. The call center rep told me this day that it would be addressed and picked up the same day. Nothing has happened and now it's been several days. We've been calling the store for days attempting to find out when we can get this enormous old mattress and box spring out of our garage. They started screening my husbands calls, so I attempted. They picked right up and had the audacity to ask us why we keep calling. BECAUSE THE ISSUE HASN'T BEEN RESOLVED. Despite being mislead several times, they've now indicated they're waiting for the warehouse to respond via email *if* they'll pick up the mattress. The whole experience has been one aggravation after another.

The assistant manager was very very rude and insulting. At one point he was so angry at me that I thought he was going to shoot me. At one point he slammed the iPad on the table and walked away. I tried to complain to other manager and he defended him. The rude managers name is Nate. My sales rep was very good. But the experience I had with the managers , I will never go back.

We have had such a terrible experience with Ashley Furniture in Novi. Ashley delivered a breakfast table, bench and two chairs on March 31 that were all originally ordered on February 18th. My daughter and I went to the store to place the order. During our conversation with sales guy Skyler smith, he told us that once the furniture was delivered to our home, if we weren’t satisfied with it, then we could return it within 48 hours. My daughter verified with Skyler 3 times before we placed the order. Furniture was delivered on March 31st and my husband assembled the breakfast table the same day. Then we realized that the table is perfect but the bench, and the two chairs would overcrowd the space. So, we didn’t even open those two boxes and we brought them back to Ashley in Novi on April 1st to return it. Then the issues started. Once at the store we were told by Skyler that he gave us wrong information, and that we are not able to return the items. He pleadingly apologized numerous times for telling us the WRONG information. He went to talk to the billing people, and they did not accept our return. Then he talked to the store Manager Jay Patterson Sr. He said he can’t make any decision, but he will talk to his upper management during the week and will give us a call back. Long story short, we had conversation with many different levels of employees in Ashley. All are continuously saying that they don’t have the power to help us, and they talk to some upper management and return our call. But we didn’t receive any calls back. Also, in their web page return policy they are saying: Not completely satisfied? We accept the return of Standard Shipping item(s) within 30 days of delivery. My concern here is that Skyler is an employee for Ashley but does NOT know the return policy. As customers we always believe salesperson’s words more than papers, but unfortunately, we are now paying the price for his mistake.

They keep giving us different information on a defective Ottoman they delivered to us in Feb 2023. Despite their assurances that parts are on the way, no parts have been mailed to us, we haven’t received anything and we haven’t heard anything back yet from a service rep or technician. Despite almost weekly calls and visits to the store, it’s been 65 days now since we had the furniture originally delivered and 65 days since we reported the defective ottoman. What is going on? It took a week for the original furniture delivery (very quick) and now it’s taken 9 plus weeks to get any resolution. We have called and visited the Ashley Novi store, sent emails, used Facebook and we cannot get a straight answer. Why is this so difficult? At this point, we would like to return all the furniture for a full refund. This is completely unacceptable and having to talk to someone different every time we call is frustrating. No one ever contacts us and each time we call we have to explain everything again and we are assured someone is working on it. This has been one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a company. #ashleyfurniture
Awful. Do not buy from here. Delivered rusted and not fully functional furniture. Technician kept cancelling coming out to fix it. 4 months later, still not fixed. Would not refund or fix. Filed a dispute with my credit card company and now they want to send me to collections. Can't ever get anyone on the phone when I call. It's a call center and they can't forward or the number is invalid. Horrible customer service. If I could give it a zero, I would.

Just spent over a thousand dollars on 6 chairs bought at the Novi Michigan store. I PAID FOR WHITE GLOVE SERVICE. The chairs were delivered already assembled which were supposed to have been done in my home. Just after the delivery guys left I discovered several very loose chair legs. Since that moment I have called, left messages,, received texts saying I would be called by "service people" who would resolve the problem... no call - no action...I've tried to call "Corporate Headquarters" just to get voice mail run arounds.... called the store where purchase was made. Was tole I could not talk with my sales person as he had "nothing to do with service problems" !! So someone there is "looking in to having someone call me." It will be a week tomorrow that the chairs were delivered. No CUSTOMER CARE WHATSOEVER. NO MORE PURCHASES AT ASHLEY. !!!

We had an awesome experience with Jeffery. He was so friendly and helpful. He was on his way out but stayed to help us. Everyone that we encountered was friendly and we didn’t feel like we were overwhelmed with pushy salespeople. I recommend Jeffery specifically because he was an interior designer previously.
We purchased couches for our basement. We told the sales rep these were going into the basement and he said it wouldn't be a problem. The delivery guys said that it couldn't fit down the stairs even though it was over the minimum width needed. We called to cancel our order and get a refund. They said no problem and they would credit our card. It has been 3 weeks and still no refund and customer service keeps hanging up on us or leaving us on hold while they check our account for an hour.
I usually hate going into a furniture store but this visit was truly enjoyable, I knew what I wanted to check out! Our sales person was pretty cool to deal with,I think he said he was a manager or we talked about the manager can't really remember haha just kidding. Will look to Ashley first for my future purchases, The next issue will be that my purchase arrives when said without a delay.
I have to say I was disappointed that I walked around the store for almost an hour before someone came and offered to help me. There with many employees just standing around or helping "couples or families" but I was alone and overlooked. Finally Khabir came and asked if I needed help and apologized it took so long for someone to help. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and a pleasant salesman. He made it worth the extraordinarily longer than normal wait time it should have been. I like the sofa I selected and was very happy it is in stock and will be delivered next week. Very disappointed that I couldn't use my veteran discount because I financed for 5 years. Not like it is a large discount. Not sure that should make a difference.

We have had such a terrible experience with Ashley it almost seems like a joke. We received a couch in the beginning of February that was damaged. I was unable to see the damage until my husband got home and we reported it immediately. After two weeks they said they would send someone to come out and fix it although the bottom of the couch (wood) was split. It is not able to be "repaired". They originally told us someone would be out in April to look at it because that was their protocol. After hours of both my husband and I calling (and repeatedly getting hung up on) we finally convinced them the couch couldn't be repaired and needed to be replaced. They have brought out three additional couches in the two months all of which were damaged. Either a rip in the couch corner, or the wood was broken. It amazes me that anyone could get a piece of furniture not damaged from them. We currently are at a stand still with the company. After we declined the last 'replacement' due to damages, we called and requested a refund and the couch removed from our house because we are so frustrated. They told us they would get back with us but we haven't heard anything in two weeks. We'd love to return the couch and never deal with this company again. Customer service is the worst I've ever had to deal with. No one is held accountable and we can't manage to talk to anyone who can actually help us. We're so exhausted with this situation. We will never buy from them again. All of our family and friends know the situation and are spreading the word on their terrible business. Do yourself a favor and buy from anyone else. UPDATE- I called the customer service number that was put on this review and they were absolutely no help. The only thing that they would offer is for someone to come out and 'fix' a split frame although we've told them a dozen times it is beyond repair. This is where we were two months ago. The responses to all of these negative reviews are just for show. They could not care less about your satisfaction. I wish I could give them zero stars.
Not sure why people are giving this place bad reviews. We were in the market for a couch late March 2023 and decided to go here and compare to other local stores like VCF, Bob's, Ikea, and Garner White. Ashley was clean, well kept together, and their staff was friendly and helpful when we needed them, but not too pushy when we started looking at certain pieces. We felt Ashley had a better selection of couches at a lower price range, which was nice for anyone who isn't looking for a $3,000+ couch. We worked with Khabir who was patient with us and helped us measure a couch, but he was also understanding we were searching around. In the end we did get our couch from another store, but that was only because it was sold there and not at Ashley. I would have preferred to have gone through Ashley.
Ashley at Ashley's was a joy to work with. She didn't pressure me into buying the product and i appreciated that. She was very informative and nice. Will return for future purchases.

Jeffrey Shifman was our sales representative and he did a phenomenal job helping to find our new couch and dining room table. His extensive knowledge of interior design was second to non and he was always patient and professional throughout the buying process. Jeffrey wanted to make sure we were buying pieces that we loved and fit our new home and never pressured us to make a purchase.
Got conned into buying a sectional too big for my house. Salesman screwed me out of a 15 percent discount. Called less than 24 hours later to cancel received a big attitude from salesman. Said he would call back, never did. Finally was able to cancel the next day on Feb 13, still haven't received a refund. This s+×tshow lost my business as well as my families for good. Probably going to have to can a lawyer over my 3500 dollars. What a joke.
The staff are excellent and very attentive. Ask for Brian Hargrove if you want the best service. Very nice young man who knew what he was talking about. When there was an item that I was interrested in that wasn't on the floor, he showed me a larger catelog on a tablet that I could scroll through. I got great deals and clearance items that were well worth the cost. Overall very happy with the product and service.

My sister and I just got an apartment and we were so excited to go furniture shopping. We walked in and immediately saw the couch we wanted to leave with. A wonderful man named Jeffrey showed us how we can read their labels for particular information and even gave us some interior design advice based on that particular couch. He also messaged me professional pictures so that we would have a better reference to return to while we compared other couches for a final decision. Once we had the picture he told us we could come find him once we looked through their store and were satisfied with the choice we made. We were able to wander uninterrupted until we went to find him again. We ended up purchasing not just the couch but an entertainment center as well. The process was quick and he made sure that I understood all the financial obligations I would be making and protection plans I could receive before anything was signed. We didn't have to sit in awkward silence either; we learned so much about him while we talked about what our plans were. I know that once we decide on the other pieces we want in the apartment we'll be coming back here.
Husband and I were looking for a new sofa. Prince took care of us, asking questions about our likes and dislikes. Showed us several options and found what works for us. Gave us a great price as well. Great working with him, would highly recommend him and will go back when we are in need of additional furniture! Update 5/22, I love my sofa, but not happy with another purchase. Went back and ordered a sideboard. Both sofa and side board were expected to be delivered on the same day. Had White glove delivery for the sofa, and thought for the sideboard. Not the case, side board was unassembled as was considered door step. Should have sent it back. They brought the box in, my husband found broken parts when he was assembling it. Waiting for replacement parts since April 4th. Keep telling me they are coming, lastest update is beginning of June. Then I have to call and schedule their technician to come out and fix it. Mistake by sales person with the type of delivery, would have had to pay white glove delivery for both pieces even though they are scheduled and delivered the same day. Door step means they leave it and are not responsible for anything that is damaged and they do not exchange for new until they go through their repair process, which is not very timely. They do not accept any returns for any reason. When they ask you to verify the order, read every line front in back, no return is in small print on the back. My experience would have been great if my furniture wasn't damaged, no follow up with status from anyone. I just keep calling. Currently someone in parts said they will keep me posted and give me a tracking number when they ship. We will see. Update 6/5 Replacement parts were delivered without any prior notification on Friday, left 3 very large boxes and 4 smaller boxes in my driveway. We were out of town, our son came by the house, saw them and put them in the garage. On Sunday we photographed all the boxes, most were damaged. 2 boxes, parts are broken and unable to be used. Fortunately, the one piece we really need is ok. Tried to schedule an appointment for repair person to come. Now I have to wait 48-72 hours for them to reach out to me. Was told if I don't hear from them to try again. Broken furniture delivered on March 30th, still not resolved. Will not purchase anything from this store again. 6/13 latest update, entire company has been shut down for technical issues for and entire week. Finally able to schedule a repair service but only on a Friday. Have to schedule around my work schedule so can't do it until July 7th. They won't give you a time window which is 4 hours until 24 hours before. So once again I am going to waste my time waiting for someone to show up. Hopefully this person can repair the product. We will see.
DO NOT GET FURNITURE FROM THIS STORE!!!! Read all of the 1 star reviews. Something similar will most likely happen to you. It has been a nightmare for me since the delivery of my mattress that was delivered torn and dirty. Then the delivery person installed my bed frame incorrectly and it is unsafe to put a mattress on it. The frame is missing screws, bolts, middle slats, legs and is crooked. They took all the parts that I need to correct the horrible mistakes and they took a pair of my scissors. They screwed the dresser mirror together incorrectly so now there is visible damage to it. The employees at the store have not been able to help and have referred to me to text numbers and email addresses that are very difficult to work with. Ended up going to Home Depot to get the material needed and fixed their mistakes myself. Ashley's "WHITEGLOVE PREMIUM HOME DELIVERY" is false advertising.

The product selection and overall friendliness was good, however when going to purchase 2 mattresses it became a mess with pricing, I was told one thing and it was rung up another way. We redid my bill about 3 times, it took hours. Will not go back or recommend shopping there.

It was the first place we stopped to browse for furniture. We were able to walk around for a little while without anyone bothering us. Then we were approached by Jay and he was very friendly. He gave us all the information we needed and allowed us to look around a little more. And took good care of us when we finally found the set we wanted.
Their selection is great. The prices are excellent. We never felt pressured. Our sales person (Jeffrey) was terrific. He provided information that was helpful for our decision process. He made himself available as needed. We were able to find and purchase the furniture pieces we wanted.

Went in to see an sectional that was online, the guy showed me everything else but the item I wanted to see. He was telling me he had no idea what the item looked like, but the sectionals were similar and sat the same. I had worked in the furniture business for several years and know each item sits differently, even if they are made by same manufacture. Finally, he claimed the item I was looking for they did not carry in the store. I asked which store had the sectional- he had no idea, I asked for a manager, then talked to another salesman who told me some items are only on the internet and unavailable to actually see. He went on to tell me it's a corporate vs individual store thing. I told the second salesman personally, I would never buy furniture I can not sit on and see you never know what your getting, and asked how they can show something online and not in the store? He said then just leave!! So I did, taking two customers who were walking in with me. I then called another store who basically said the same thing.

If I could put 0 stars I would. Disgusting customer service. Waited 7 months to get the correct bed (I was told it would take 2-4 weeks) Not only was I sent the wrong bed, I was sent a broken bed. They Scheduled my delivery twice and nobody showed or called. (After taking both days off of work) Finally today I received my bed, but half of the pieces are missing. Do not waste your time or money with this company.
DO NOT SHOP HERE! The quality of the furniture is poor now. Nothing like how it use to be. I've had 2 orders that came broken on multiple occasions. Along with them telling me 1 delivery date and my items not come for weeks later. Both times I feel like I was told 1 thing just to get the sale. Getting in contact with customer service is nearly impossible. Nor could I call the store directly. I will never order from Ashley Furniture again!

Refund process is terrible 15 business days to get your money back when it takes them less than 15 seconds to process the transaction action when making the purchase. Their delivery drivers hygiene was not clean. This is not a good look for the brand. I thought I would have a much better experience with Ashley. I thought this brand had a good reputation. Now I know better. I will not shop there again. Be aware Still waiting on my refund. No sense of urgency on Ashley’s part at all.Their employees have been screwing up since day 1. So unprofessional. I bought couches from them and they are defective. I tried to contact them more than ten times without success. Their system removed my complaint and said I didn't have to complain about that couch. You should strongly avoid buying from that company in the future.
I will never be shopping here again. A few months ago, my boyfriend and I went into this store looking to buy a new couch. After being helped by the "sales manager," we found a couch that we liked and were offered an amazing deal through the promotion that they were running. The deal that we were promised included gift cards covering the first three months of payment. Our couch was delivered, but we never received any gift cards. When we called the store to figure out why we haven't received the gift cards, they told us that the deal that they offered us was not correct and that we would now be charged the full price for our couch. They refused to return it because it has already been delivered. The customer service department has continued to tell us that they made a mistake and that it is unfair to us, but they refuse to do anything to fix their error. I would highly recommend buying your furniture from a company that owns their mistakes and is dedicated to their costumers, clearly not Ashley.
We had a wonderful experience at Ashley. The salespeople were very helpful. We mainly worked with Cody. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient as he took his time explaining things. Kofi also helped us with pillows and he was just as great! There was a third person that checked in with us when Cody stepped away for a moment. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable. The most enjoyable part was that I was greeted and checked in on but never felt pressured or hounded as I have in other furniture stores. That alone will make me come back. Also they have great accessories!

I have nothing positive to say about my experience. I paid for the white glove treatment which did me no good. The bed was delivered and put together but many problems have followed. The bed came with drawers but were damaged so I had to wait for another set. The second time they were delivered I had the same problem. I Then received my 3rd set which they installed with no wheels which damaged my newly restained hardwood floors. The drawers do not even close right because of how the bed was installed. When we bought the bed the salesman said we could return the bed which they say now it is not allowed. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this point . I know now that I will never want to buy another piece of furniture from Ashley’s. I will not recommend them to anybody unless they can help to rectify the situation by just taking my bed back and show that they are willing to help out.This is has been my absolute worst experience dealing with a furniture company.
Purchased a reclining couch and a sectional from this store 6 months ago and the recliner is broke with a piece of wood that has came off as well. Spent 40 minutes on hold the first time to be told someone would be in contact with me within 24-48 hours. It has been 4 days now and I call back, to them telling me they don’t actually know when someone will come out. The customer service was rude and also hung up on me. Tried to call the store itself as well and no one answers the phone. Tried calling for help again to no avail. This is the worst experience I have had with furniture ever, they clearly don’t care. Update: over 2 months later and they still haven’t resolved my issue or even contacted me about getting this resolved. Everyone I talk to refuses to assist and they also will not let you post another review. I don’t know how they have a 4.1 rating they must be buying the reviews because this is the worst business I have ever dealt with.

No floating shelves or the platform storage lift bed. Looking for platform lift storage bed for our spare bedroom. Got the idea from Ikea. Haven't seen this kind of bed anywhere but Ikea in a store. Still fun to take a browse around.

purchased the 5 year warranty on our couch that was supposed to cover everything,well guess what? it only covers stains, bunch of liars.
Tables did not arrive as promised, delivery free was ridiculous at 199.00 so I picked up my 2 tables from the warehouse and when I opened up one of the boxes the table was damaged and here 9 weeks later I’m still without 1 table because it was damaged. Nobody at the store will assist. Very disappointed in this store and will never shop there again!!!

The young salesma, KJ, was very nice, and worked hard to answer questions and help me find what I need. It is a shame tgere were no floor lamps, or even their table versions so I could see them in person, I would have likely bought one. I wasnt pleased the protection product was automatically on the order without my agreeing to it; I did accept it, but feel this practice is shady. Im not sure I actually paid the same I would have if I ordered from the website, although KJ, took steps to make it so. I didnt realize the stores are franchises, I think I paid about $200 more and this is likely why. On the whole, Im not upset because the experience was pretty nice. KJ is an intelligent and straight forward salesman, no games or BS, no high pressure sales tactics (e.g. step selling or manager hand off), he made it worth my time.
Mike and Jeffrey were very knowledgeable and friendly. The store was much more visually inviting than another furniture business we stopped in.
Purchase with caution. This location will only return prior to receiving the furniture. Why would you return furniture prior to seeing it in your home? Inconsiderate policy. So if you don't like how the furniture fits in your home, you are STUCK with the furniture. There goes 5k. They don't honor customer service as soon as they get YOUR money. Something to keep in mind.

Received damaged merchandise three times. Requested replacement and exchange due to the condition and they have yet to fulfill the order. This is three months later. Customer service at the store is subpar and the warehouse delivery process is even worse.

We ordered furniture from Ashley on Nov 22 2022. The sales person promised that all the furniture will be arriving on Dec 18th. Not surprising, the furniture never came on Dec 18th. I tried to call the customer care (one of the worst customer care ever). They said only partial order was available to deliver. I was not happy but I decided to get what was ready. According to the customer care agent, my dining table set that includes the rectangular table and 6 chairs were ready to deliver. The day of delivery (Dec 28th). The person who delivered told me that there were only 3 chairs and the screws to assemble the dining table were missing. I refused to accept the dining set. I am still trying to battle with Ashley furniture customer care to figure out what is going on.

From the time we stepped in the place until we left, nothing but awesome service. Jeffrey was our salesman. He gave us plenty from which to choose per our description of what we wanted, and never pushed us to higher priced furniture. Jeffery was kind, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with.
Came into the store on Black Friday because my son wanted to buy me a recliner for Christmas. We were pushed into buying this recliner by the pushy sales lady. Canceled the next day. Now fighting to get a lot of money off of our charge card! Very upset! Will not be back!

Horrible horrible experience!!! I never leave reviews and just had to. Ordered table, it was promised to be here 12/17 half of it was delivered, rescheduled for 12/22 delivery showed up with nothing stating they didn’t have the chairs. Called customer service, stating that everything will be there by 1/3/23. We have no table for Christmas dinner that we are hosting!!! The only reason we got the table was because it was suppose to be here before Christmas! No one will help or do anything, useless service. Changed delivery 3x!!! Never again will we buy from Ashley’s furniture again.

Literally the worse furniture buying experience I’ve ever had. Nobody in this store knows what is going on. The people in the store blame customer service, customer service blames the warehouse, it’s just one big circus. The sales man will lie to you about delivery dates just to lock in your sale in order to get their commission. The managers are no help what so ever. I was promised 12/20 now my items aren’t coming until 1/3…they have NOTHING in stock, the employees also have no sense of urgency for anything. They offered to give me a bed until mine came but told me I’d have to wait for that one as well…? Like? Then offered to take something off delivery cost. Which is little to NOTHING! Pay attention to the reviews 0/10, don’t waste your time.
Where do I begin the salesperson initially lied told us we could get delivery within a couple of days before the Thanksgiving holiday 2 weeks we get a delivery date my wife takes off work and they never show up never or call . When they do finally show up two of the pieces were damaged so bad that we had to get new pieces .we've been trying to get that scheduled for 3 weeks service people won't even call us back this is Bar None the worst company I have ever bought anything from stay away from Ashley Furniture would be my advice They simply don't care about their customers whatsoever my advice would be to go to Gardner-White or any place else but here...
I ordered a couch and dining room chairs for delivery on Dec 20th. My dining room chairs arrived, but not my couch. I am being told that my delivery for the couch will likely be Jan 3 despite being told Dec. 20th when I made the purchase. So now I have no couch for the holiday and the customer service response was only "the dates are subject to change."
Multiple changes in delivery dates, with incomplete items and inability to talk to anyone who I can understand. Lots of static on their “phone service assistance” just disappointed
Please don't not make the mistake we did in buying furniture from this company. It fell apart in less than two months and customer service refused to help us. I encountered the rudest, least helpful people trying to find a resolution. Stay away from Ashley Furniture!!!!!!
Dont ever buy any furniture from here. Customers service is awful. My whole order was supposed to be delivered on 12/16. They did not deliver my footboard and did not email or call me to say when i would be receiving it. Rob supervisor at extension 1040 was the worst!

I wish there were a way not to give Ashley Furniture a single star because they are not deserving. Ashley’s was supposed to deliver my child’s bed on 11/26. Instead they rescheduled three times and delivered the bed THREE weeks later (12/15). What’s more, the delivery service was supposed to come with white glove assembly. Upon arrival, the delivery men explained to me they aren’t allowed to assemble the bed we purchased. I’m incredibly disappointed. I called and spoke with a representative, I was told nothing could be done to remedy the situation. This is ASININE! I’ve never experienced such deplorable customer service. I wouldn’t recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone.
Ashley’s is trash! Purchased a child’s bed, paid for delivery and assembly. Delivery was cancelled 4 times. Once it finally arrived they refused to assemble. The delivery guys said they don’t do that. I called Corporate spoke with Ciara and her Supervisor Luz (who was rude) both however were USELESS! Will never shop here again!!

if i could rate 0 stars i would. Worst service ive ever experienced. To start the salesman was very conceited and hitting on my mother calling her “mommy” and stuff. And after delivered the delivery team got dirt all over the chairs. Now dealing with customer service it has been over two weeks trying to get someone to come out here and clean/repair them. I will never shop here again and i do not recommend anyone going here.

Jay made my experience at Ashley’s absolutely wonderful. I have been given 2 separate delivery dates and neither of those have been accurate. I was told I'd have my furniture before Christmas and that won't be true. Not a happy customer.
Where to begin. We purchased a sectional in the summer of 22 to complete our newly renovated basement. The delivery drivers damaged our new wooden stairs and had my mom sign a waiver stating we would waive the fee of any damages….which she didn’t know that’s what she signed. We finally after several calls and e-mails were told we will revive $200 to fix the stairs. Still waiting on that check 2 months later. Now the brand new sectional has broken. The extra warranty I purchased doesn’t cover the cheap wooden frame and the one year manufacturer warranty also doesn’t cover it bc 2 ppl were reclining in a one person recliner. The recliner easily fits 2 adults. So now I had to re purchase another recliner to complete the sectional. I will never purchase anything from Ashley again.
Great in-store experience. Didn't have the sectional we went to look at, but showed us alternatives and we found a nicer one at a great price. Gave us good ideas with accessories that just set the sectional off perfectly. Keyonte Ashford in the Novi store was brilliant, new to the job but excellent service. Great experience so far, im sure it'll continue once the sofa is delivered!

Purchase was a shell game . Was given a Price and was told we were good to come back a couple days later to finalize our purchase. Then they up the price 2 days later. Then after a few back and forth we got the original price. Purchased 1st week of September and delivery could be ready in 10-14 days. So now 2 1/2 months later delivers were scheduled and cancelled about 6+ times and we were waiting a few of those day with no shows. A partial deliver was scheduled yesterday and 4 out of 5 items were damaged! Now we sit and wait again with out knowing what or when anything will show up. Next delivery day is set up in another week . We will see 🤞

Have been looking for months online for a sectional sofa and finally decided to take the plunge and visit a brick and mortar store. Prince was my salesperson and was a pleasure to work with. I found what I wanted, paid for my purchase and set up the delivery date. I had a delivery date of 11/21 which never happened because they "did not have a truck". Nobody called to inform me, so I took time off from work for nothing. Then it was rescheduled for 11/25 - which I have just been informed today that it will be rescheduled again because it is not in the warehouse. So now I have no delivery date and ultimately no seating for my holiday guests. I read the reviews and should have been more cautious. I will wait to see how this plays out. Very upset with the delivery dept.
These people are the worst to deal with, the Customer service Department is the worst I have ever dealt with. They redirect your call or just hang up this has happened multiple times. The product I bought is defective I can't seem to get if fixed or replaced. DO NOT USE ASHLEY terrible . I tried to talk to the corporate office and the lady was so rude and told me the Ashely store in NOVI did not exist. AGAIN do not buy from Ashley

We've bought quite a few pieces of furniture from Ashley. A couple purchases were made in store, but most of it online. We just had a dresser delivered yesterday and it only came half assembled. I reached out to customer service, considering I paid $80 for delivery and assembly. I first did the chat option online and the agent kept denying that I paid for assembly. I even sent her screenshots showing that I paid for full assembly and delivery to the room. She then got upset and said she couldn't help and gave me the number to customer service. I was on the phone for 30 minutes only to be told sorry, we aren't refunding you. It's false advertising to charge somebody $80 for assembly and delivery when the product was never fully assembled. Ashley claims that they can't do anything because they contract deliveries with their outside company, DSG, from the Chicago area. They did offer to schedule a time to come back and finish assembly, however I'm not sure why I'd chose that option when the delivery drivers were snarky, disrespectful, and this delivery took 3 weeks the first time. I paid the extra money because I intended to use the furniture immediately, not wait weeks again. It doesn't seem worth the hassle, so I'll just finish it myself. I'd advise customers to only do the doorstep delivery. It probably wouldn't be much different than the white glove service they claim to offer and you will save money. The drivers forged my signature on their phone saying I was satisfied with the delivery. At the time I thought was odd I didn't have to sign anything, but didn't think too much into it. Be aware that this signature says you're completely satisfied, which is why they won't refund my money. I didn't realize it until I got the confirmation text from the company and there was a picture of the half assembled product and a scribble indicating I signed the phone, which I never did. This is the worst customer service I've ever received at a furniture store. Not only is it false advertising, but it's illegal to forge a signature. Although I like a lot of their furniture, I won't be going back because of this. They lost a customer over $80.
Brian, located at the Novi store, is GREAT!!!! After sharing with him our bad experience with a different store, he regained my confidence that I would receive my entire order, NEW and in boxes. And, he seemed to be upfront with me about parts of my order. Now I am excited again about Ashley's.

The prices and furniture quality are always good from Ashley, but my experience with actually getting my furniture always seems problematic. This time, I purchased a chair on 10/22 and was told they’d be in touch the next week so I could pick up the item. Fast forward 3 weeks and I still don’t have my chair. I’ve called, and when I actually get through to the right person, they say “it just says stop transfer so yeah I don’t have any information for you”. I’m starting to get very frustrated.

He was very patient with us and knowledgeable about the items we were looking for. His expertise is above and beyond. I’d recommend him as your consultant and Ashley store to fill any rooms in your house, or satisfy any style you might have. Ashley store is best place to go.

The young trainee we had helping us did should not be working as a salesman. We were charged for a piece we told him we didn't want then it was a mess to get the funds back to us. He didn't seem to understand basic math. He also was in so much of a hurry to get the sale he lost out on an additional purchase. We not only wanted an entertainment unit but also a kitchen table and chairs. Delivery date, he could not tellus when the furniture we purchased could be delivered. The whole experience was just bad. Hopefully the furniture will make up for the bad experience when it finally arrives.

This store is awful! They clearly do not care about their customers, I have actually been treated worse after becoming a paying customer. My girlfriend and I purchased a couch and it was delivered with our being wrapped in plastic so naturally the couch was dirty. They also left half the couch cushion in the back of the truck to get dirty as well. There customer service reps give nothing but excuses. I paid well over a $1000, so I should not receive a piece of garbage. Do not buy furniture here unless you want disappointment and bad customer service.

Company is terrible, bought a 4k couch had a delivery day scheduled. I took off work, stayed home to get the delivery (white glove) and they send me a text saying they came to my house, no one was home and they couldn't deliver it.

Well I bought a sofa, love seat and a dinning table , that was on saturday , I was supposed to pick them up on sunday , like the sales guy told me , the sofa and the love seat was at the warehouse located at warren, I rented a truck , drove 45 miles to the warehouse and it was closed!!!! So why did you schedule the pick up at this particular day if it is closed, moreover, I told the sales guy that I will pick up the dining table as it is without taking it a part , but it wasn’t sturdy at all, so he said he will tighten the screws for me , when I went there it was not tightened and he started to tighten them and telling me that I can do it at home ????!!! Then about the sofa and the love seat he told that someone will call me in two hours and it has been more than 24 hours and no one called me, very bad experience for me and I don’t recommend for any body
Buyer beware!!! Read this whole thing before buying from here!!! In store service was good, purchased a set, and was told due to supply our couches would be backordered, and we can expect them in 4-6 weeks. Couches did arrive in 5 weeks. The back ordered issue was expected these days. Now comes the nightmare. The delivery driver ripped the inside as he was seperating the leg from the ribbon that tied them, we asked for a new couch. 3 weeks later, a couch was delivered, and the back of it was ripped. We did not sign the delivery sheet. The delivery people continued to fight with each other in our house, and when they called customer service, the said we would get a call within 24 hours to get a new couch delivered. We asked them to leave cause it was uncomfortable. We did not get a call, and on day 5, we called to see what was up. Since we waited more then 72 hours, they considered the case closed. You will see the photo with the tag still on the couch, and the tear during delivery. The third party delivery service is awful. NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY AGAIN!!! Please do not respond with the customer service number or E-Mail, as we are already sending messages, and trying to get this rectified through those channels.
Horrible!! After three hours and two sets of living room furniture I was informed I could not get more than 6 months interest free at the prices they quoted me. I told them up front I wanted the 5 years interest free and they kept telling me prices they could give me the furniture for. After we picked everything they told me an estimated price. My husband and I talked about it and decided yes, then they stared everything including running my credit and raised the price $1k we accepted that once they explained why but we were not happy since we were well over what we said we would pay and then they told me I could only get 6 months interest free at the prices they quoted me!! So we walked out without the furniture we really wanted. The whole thing was not right! If they just listened to my request for 5 years interest free and told me prices that would work with that we might have come to an agreement. The whole place was a huge waste of time!! Definitely go somewhere else or order it from somewhere online which is what I will now do. Ashame too because we were so happy to be one store and done for both rooms and now we have to start over and will not return to Ashley in Novi

Fo not get scammed. They sell u the furniture they get u to get their credit card. Then they keep pushing the delivery dates, with automated calls. And when u confirm any date they send u a message that is after 3:08pm (their delivery confirmation) so they can keep trapping you in this never ending cycle of pushing off the delivery. Trust me guys u r better off buying from other stores
Store has quality furniture our salesman Brian and Mgr. Carl at the Novi, Michigan location were nice when you’re in the store shopping around, but Good Luck trying to have them call you when you walk out the door! Once they get your money they forget you! Ashley’s customer service is terrible all around the worst that I’ve ever dealt with! You can’t even call the store directly you have to go through their national 800 number and they have to relay a message for the salesman to call you, which Brian never did, That is if he even got the message to call. Customers should be able to contact the store directly!

This store is big on false advertising. We were told we would get all of our furniture by a certain date and they only delivered part of the order and two of our items were very damaged. The quality of the items is manufactured cheaply, so you pay alot of money for junk. They later delivered part of our sectional, but we are still missing 2 of the main pieces. They told us our replacement for our damaged furniture would be in by now and now they are saying another 2 weeks. They are very deceiving and offer no compensation for their lies. Do not shop at this store.
A ton of options on sectionals! The colors in store are the ones they stock, so no 6+ month wait for custom colors. Brian G was very helpful! Allowed us to add/ remove sections to get a better idea of how it’ll look in our home. Would recommend

Wrong end table delivered. Received the correct end table 6 months later after several phone calls made to them and after I went physically to the store . Item delivered was not in a box . No follow up with the customer to give update of a delay .
I hate being sold a dream. I stayed there for a hour or so saying Everything I was looking for, most importantly a chair i could pick up next day or at least very soon. The guy said it was ready now and in stock with a big smile....nope....it will be here in a month or two. Called the pick up location manager, no answer so I got my money back and went to Gardner White. Same day Free delivery. Oh and they didn't answer the phone all day so i had to call a different location just to be told I had to go to this one. All day i was calling around to the sales person or Anyone. Horrible!
Very bad customer service. We got a sofa and love seat the arms making noises I won’t recommend to my family or my friends. I used to get my furniture from Art Van and it was great. But I will never get anymore future from Ashley’s. You can’t even return the sofas if you didn’t like it
This has been one of the most terrible experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered furniture from them when their internet was down and they assured me everything would be fine. Now online, there’s no record of my order and I wait on hold for 30 minutes each day only to be hung up on. The first round of furniture came damaged and now as I try to work through my second order I am consistently told to go online to check my order yet I have no way to check my order. I tried calling the store directly but of course the Novi store just feeds you directly to a call center where I get repeatedly hung up on. At this point I’ve used almost a whole work day waiting on hold Listening Ashley’s key goals… and how important their customers are. Whatever. I can’t wait to never buy furniture from here again… i wouldn’t recommend this store to my worst enemy.
I often dread car shopping and furniture shopping due to the high pressure sales. I have walked out of dealerships and furniture stores because of it. However, my husband and I just moved in our new home and wanted to purchase some furniture. We went to Ashley Furniture store in Novi. I must say it was the most positive, relaxing furniture shopping I have done. Jeffrey met us at the door and I thought, “well, here we go.” But that’s not what happened. He took a moment to point out a few things to look for on their signs. And then HE LEFT US ALONE. He was available for questions. Jeffrey was very knowledgeable, patient, personable and made it a very positive experience. I am looking forward to receiving our new furniture. Ashley Furniture is my go to.

The sales experience was fantastic. The quality of the furniture is great (mostly). However, one of the pieces I received was damaged. A replacement was ordered and delivered and unfortunately the replacement was also damaged. I purchased a furniture warranty on everything I ordered. Fast forward a few months and I still have not heard from a tech regarding a date for which they will come out to repair the damaged item. I've contacted customer service three separate times, and still, no result. If you pay extra for a furniture warranty, you're basically throwing your money away. It's been over 2 months and my bedframe has not been delivered. It was scheduled to be delivered a week after I placed my order. 2+ months and still no sign of it. No help or response from the local store as well. Bad service. Stay away!!!

I am a 350 pound man I bought a temper pedic From the Ashley homestore I slept on it for 2 months and and it hurt my back so bad I could not hardly walk or use my left leg The temper pedic is junk Don't waste your money spend $7000 Forget you can't sleep on

My experience at this store has been horrible. I visited this store yesterday to purchase a mattress. I was trying to purchase a mattress for my spare room and was assisted by Skylar. He was extremely helpful but explained to me that I would not be able to receive my mattress until next week on the 23rd. I explained to him that I needed a mattress by this Friday. Skylar continued to come up with various solutions to help me with my dilemna. Skylar asked me to call him this morning to see if they had a mattresses on clearance in the back room that I could purchase. So, this morning I called and spoke wiith Skylar and he confirmend that they had a mattress that I could puchase so come in. When I went to the store today Skylar was at lunch. No one knew what I was talking about regarding Skylar's and our previous conversation. Natalie a salesperson took the time to assist me. Well, she found out the mattress they wanted to sell me was on the floor. No problem. I continued to ask about 5 year financing which I was already approved for, warranty, and delivery. Mr. Manager from Texas joined in on the conversation. He explained to me that they could not honor any type of warranty, I could not receive five years financiing only six months but he would be nice and extend it for a year, and lastly they could put the mattress on my truck but they couldn't tie it down. I was enraged. I questioned why wasn't all these stipulations explained to me yesterday. However, I don't fault Skylar, it is the responsibily of leadership, Mr. Texas to train his staff properly on policies and procedures. Well, the story doesn't end. I called my previous salesperson at the Westland store and explained all my issues that I was having at the Novi store. Also, I must say he is a wonderful salesperson. In conversation about Ashley's policies, he explained that a 10% deposit was now required for any financing. Wow!! No one ever mentioned this to me at the Novi store not even Mr. Texas. Horrible place to do business. I left the store with no merchandise never to return again.
Jeffrey was an absolute pleasure to work with! Funny, personable, knowledgeable. Beautiful showroom, employees were not pushy, and we found a great price on a sofa/loveseat set. The only downside is 6-8 weeks for delivery, but that's no one's fault. Highly recommend.

Skylar was very patient and completely patient, even though I wasn't sure what I wanted. Or if I was buying anything. He spent a couple hours with me as we covered the store a couple of times. He just let me make up my own mind and set the pace.
If I could zero stars I would. I asked a million times to make sure the set I bought were both in stock, and was assured yes. Set up for delivery this weekend, and only one of two couches arrived. They handed me the paperwork to sign for delivery before I realized the other couch wasn’t included. I asked the delivery person, he said it was backordered. NO ONE told me. Customer service was awful over the phone, told me there’s nothing they can do when all I wanted was for them to pick the love seat back up before it’s even used so that we can wait for both couches to be delivered at the same time. I wasn’t asking for a refund, I wasn’t asking for a return. I just want both I I he’s delivered together so I have a full set. They don’t even have a guarantee on when the sofa will be in stock… worst company I have ever had to deal with.
The salesman (Jeffrey Shifman) and the mattress expert (Rodney) we’re accommodating with their time and walked us through the entire process as we bought 2 bedroom sets.
Missed the delivery window and day WITHOUT notifying me. Tried to call the phone number to find out where my couch was BUT phone number does not even connect to the store and then I was on hold for over 30 minutes before giving up and having to go to the store to find out what was evening going on. Then found out the delivery day was pushed back over 2 weeks, WITHOUT notifying me or even asking if the day was good. When asking about compensation for screwing up my order, they offered nothing. Planning to cancel my order if I can ever get ahold of someone since while I was at the store they said "I couldn't cancel today".
Was told my stuff was in stock. Low and behold when it was supposed to be delivered it needed to be moved because it wasn't in stock. Switched day. Was told it would be delivered between 930am and 1230pm. Received a text at 1025 am that it would be delivered in and hour and 10min. Called them at 1pm and was told they had till 1230pm. I said it's 1pm. She said probably be there in 10min. 2pm still no delivery and have been waiting for 14min for someone e to answer. Terrible service.
Save yourself the time and effort and buy from a different place!! 1 month since my order was scheduled to be delivered and I still don't have it. They only part delivered my order and now refuse a return. I ordered the item only after they confirmed it was available in stock and ready to shipped within a week. Worst service ever!! Don't bother shopping from this store.
Great prices. Great service. Really enjoyed the opportunity to walk around and look at the furniture without a pushy salesperson constantly following. Hugh was excellent. He gave us just the right amount of attention while leaving us to explore on our own. We ended up purchasing a beautiful power reclining sofa and power reclining chair. Will definitely go back when we have other furniture needs.

I would give this store 0 stars. First they deliver a $4,000 sectional that has poor craftsmanship with busted inseams and awful stuffing and second they never delivered my ottoman. Turns out that they hire random delivery companies to deliver the furniture and they are thieves. The delivery company forged my signature….. how do I know this because my signature doesn’t match the signature that’s in store and I never got a delivery and I have cameras at and in my house. It’s impossible to speak to someone. i’ve driven out to the store three times and still can’t get this issue resolved. GRT team is impossible to get a hold of. Worst purchase ever!

Our sales person Jeffery Shifman was very accommodating, when we first met him he’d make a portfolio of the items we liked with measurements and sent it to our text on our phone so we can reevaluate what would fit etc. when 4 th of July came buy one get second half off with 0 interest we jumped on it! Bought two couches a table and an area rug! Very pleased with the service, no pressure just we are here when your ready! Rodney is great to work with! He helped my fiancé and I to pick out a mattress that would work for my scoliosis. He made recommendations for our price point and let us take our time with picking something out. I’d highly recommend Rodney for all of your mattress needs! Ashley has a beautiful showroom too. My only suggestion to the business is to let your mattress experts take off their white coats if they want to lol

ABSOLUTELY Terrible experience!! They placed order we didn't want and now can't reach anyone at Novi store to resolve. Incredible shady sales staff that sound good but we continually had to catch mistake, markups and then they went ahead and ordered the couch without the ottoman. Which we specifically told them not to do. Just all around low class manipulative operation. I've been trying for 2+hrs to cancel my order.
Justin helped my husband and I correct a mistake on 2 sets if furniture we purchased from Westland store. He was patient,kind and extremely helpful. I will visit this store and ask for Justin again!

Destiny at the Novi store absolutely awesome. After that all downhill. Scheduling delivery was atrocious. Using text and automated phone system. Could not get human on the phone to discuss and when I did well you know how that went. Kept getting different dates was told at purchase the following Thursday which was prior to an event I was having. Well no couch for that. Two weeks later still no couch. Beware.

We went into Ashley furniture store to look for living room furniture. We were greeted by Justin Cosey who took excellent care of us. He was knowledgable, personable and extremely intelligent. He was able to show us several options that fit our budget and our style. We are giving Mr. Cosey's customer service a "10" and his enthusiaism a "10". We called Mr. Cosey on Thursday, June 2nd as we now have to change our delivery date; Mr. Cosey who was on his day off, answered my call, gave us an action plan and we are awaiting his call on Saturday when he returns to work for a new delivery date. Exemplary Service - He went above and beyond what was required. Please make sure this comment is shared with his Management team. Thank you so much for being awesome!

Absolutely the worst experience with purchasing furniture. Ordered bar stools to pick up at warehouse that we were told would be available next day. Drive out to warehouse and was (not) greeted by extremely rude employee who tells us our order wouldn’t be available for 3 more days. Call sales person, on his cell phone, and he doesn’t know how this could happen-his computer showed stools were in stock. Perhaps the sales people need better training on how to use their software. Called corporate office to cancel order and they offer a 10% discount-how insulting. Can’t get ahold of anyone at the Novi, MI location since the store just opened. If they treat their customers this way-I can’t see this location staying opened very long.
