I had the worst experience ever, went in to purchase a chair and sat for over 2 hours and they could not figured how to finance my purchase so I left with nothing

I bought a reclining sofa from this location. After two days of owning it, the power headrest quit working. It's been almost 4 months and it is still not working. The first attempt to repair it, after several times sending videos and pictures of the problem, waiting more than 4 weeks for the part, the tech came out and said that wasn't what was wrong with it. He was very nice and professional, said they would have to order it, and was told it would be 7-10 days to receive parts. After waiting almost 30 days, I reached out again and they it would be another SIX WEEKS to receive the part. In essence, I've owned the sofa almost 3 months and it has worked two days, and there is not a clear path to get it fixed. Very disappointing.

We were greeted as we were shopping by a very nice gentleman. He gave us a great price on the table we wanted. It was a quick pleasant experience.

We recently got a new bed frame and mattress for the Lake Orion store. The bed frame we had no issues with but the mattress was a different story… we first ordered a memory foam mattress but we when received the mattress it had the worst smell to it, like a gas smell. my husband had a allergic reaction to the mattress, called the store to get a refund or exchange the mattress and that process was not very smooth it took probably about 10 calls and talking to many different people to get it handled. Finally we did get a new mattress and when the new mattress came the delivery team delivered the wrong mattress after finding that out the delivery team finally called saying they still had our mattress still on the truck, so they delivered our correct mattress the packaging of our mattress was ripped and covered in mud. we called the store and spoke with the manager and said he was going to call us back and never did… worst customer service i’ve dealt with. I will never go back to this store.

I went in looking for a bed for my daughter and found one right away, and Kaila was amazing. She helped us with everything and it was so easy and fast.

We had a very nice salesperson waiting on us. However they need to update their delivery zip code to include the second zip code for Houghton Lake Heights, Michigan. Their system only recognizes one zip and there is actually a second one that covers a few blocks that they don’t cover and really should. Hope they can figure out how to update their system to include the 48630 zip code.

We found exactly what we wanted with the President's Day sale giving us an even greater price than expected on a dining room set.. Ashley Furniture has so many great finds. We'll be back for for end tables and lamps.

Unacceptable experience from start to finish. The couch delivered did not match what was represented at sale, and once the issue was raised, the store became unresponsive. Calls were not returned, in-store visits led to deflection to the call center, and the call center repeatedly redirected us back to the store. After weeks of delays, management stated nothing could be done and refused to assist with a return. By the time we pushed further, we were told the return window had passed—despite raising concerns before final delivery. “Additional support” routes to the same scripted call center. A so-called 10% credit (closer to 5%) was offered only if we waive warranty rights. This has been a complete runaround with no ownership or accountability. Shop elsewhere.

I had a great experience finding furniture for my business, Renewal by Red Light. Kim was wonderful to work with.

Poor customer service. Very disappointed with the lack of communication. Incorrect information on original sales documents, delivery date missed without notification, and back ordered items not identified resulting in half of a bedroom set and yet another arrival date with a 5 hour window.

I just bought these items there all different colors and two of my dressers don’t have legs. I made contact with the support team but I have not heard back. I also contacted the sales person Kimberly of Arburn Hills MI. Maybe someone will contact me soon

Alex was a pleasure to work with. He was present when needed and gave us the right about of space while browsing. He answered every question and made sure to ask us about our home to ensure we made a selection that would fit what we needed. We feel the value of our purchase was fair and hope it lasts a long time! I would recommend working with Alex if possible.

Update at bottom of review. The in-store experience was great, however, they mixed up the parts and what was already a month long wait for the furniture to arrive is now going to take almost an additional week for the MAIN piece - the sofa sleeper - to arrive. They told me that they manufacture their own furniture so how this mix up even happened is beyond me. No quality control? Customer service is outsourced so I couldn't even get in touch with my sales rep. They only offered any kind of compensation after I inquired about it. The compensation was just over $30 for an altogether purchase of over $1,700. They said it was a 5% compensation on the merchandise price of the specific piece that failed. Ridiculous and a terrible experience so far overall. The in-store experience means nothing if you fail on actually delivering the product. UPDATE: My delivery has been pushed back even further. Went in store to talk to someone face to face. Again, the in store experience was great and the associate, Kim, was very helpful. Every other experience after the store has been awful, however. I called the number that was provided in the response to this review. It's another generic customer service line. They increased my compensation on the almost $1,000 merchandise price of the individual section of furniture that's part of the entire piece to a little over $60 instead of the $34 initial compensation. Still think it's a little low but at least it's something. I will likely look elsewhere for any future furniture purchases

I've been using Ashley furniture for decades and their excellent made products never disappoints.

We were guaranteed a certain delivery date and the date has been pushed back twice. Our night stand arrived all bumped up. Called to submit a claim and Four ppl have called just to tell me someone else will call me- haven’t heard from corporate.

One of the bedroom end tables had a dented corner and a small scratch on top.

This store will treat you super nicely, up until the moment your credit card gets accepted. From that moment on, you're just another fool to them. After spending a considerable amount of money on a sofa and a dining table, I was contacted by the delivery team with an item list which was missing half of the sofa. The delivery date for the missing item is now TBD, their support is awful, and management just doesn't return texts or calls. Is this Ashley's general standard or is it just this store that thinks that it's acceptable to deliver half of the purchased product and not give information on the other half? Stay away from these inconsiderate people! ******** EDIT ********** Even though their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced, I changed this review from 1 star to 4 stars, because after going physically to the store, the manager and sales person got everything corrected and I received all my furniture in time and with quality.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! We won a gift card at a tigers game. When I went in I immediately asked if it could be used there. We picked a table, I asked if I could be used on that. They said because it was a special deal I could either use the gift card on it or use the deal. Fair enough, so we picked a few stools instead. The worker followed us around and scanned each item we picked until we reached our $500 and let us know how much it was, where we were at price wise, etc. After waiting almost 30 minutes for them to figure out whatever it is they were doing, he tells his manager it won’t let him apply the gift card because apparently everything was on sale. Nothing we chose was clearly listed as a sale item. The manager says well did you tell her that? He says no then begins to inform me I couldn’t use the card. After almost 1.5 hrs there and being almost 4 hours away, we left very angry and they did not apologize, attempt to make us some kind of deal or nothing. It was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had a furniture store. I’m disappointed Ashley would have people like that representing them especially after we recently spent over $5,000 on all new furniture. 10/20/25 follow up. I contacted the number received on this review and this is the response I get. So very disappointed in this customer service. “ Since this is something store wise we wouldn't be able to assist you can try calling the store or see if there is a different one near you, try calling before going to make sure you don't make the drive and end up not being able to use it”. November 2nd - the manger spoke with me and said she’d follow up with her supervisors. I’ve emailed her multiple times now with no response. How can they promote themselves in a Detroit Tiger’s game with a $500 winning and not allow the customer to use it. This is crazy to me. If it allowed, I’d post the “promotional” video of the winning.

Ashley's in Auburn Hills, MI is awesome!!!!. They had the coffee table two end tables we fell in love with online. Unfortunately that set was discontinued but we got the floor models in flawless condition and a deep discount too

The sales team was amazing but the delivery team and customer service was disgusting to deal with. They delivered showroom items NOT new it was full of dents and dusty. I had to chase the customer care for 2 days to get my refund. If you want to have business you need to change your delivery company!

🚨✨HIGHLY RECOMMEND ASKING FOR ZACH F. ✨🚨 My family and I came in browsing couches and we fell in love with a sectional, however it was over our price and we decided to wait. However in the process of moving, we discovered mice loved our couch as much as we did and we now needed a new couch urgently and within a smaller budget. I searched everywhere and could not find a couch comparable to the one we found at Ashley’s. I called their service line to see if I could complete the sale with our previous salesman Zach F. (I think it was Feury). The sales woman on the phone tried to sell me the same couch for $1,000 more than what Zach quoted me, even with discounts. The next day, I went back to the store, found Zach (praying he remembered us from 2 weeks ago) and told him what happened with our couch, what we needed for the new sectional and how much we could pay at the MAX with delivery and taxes. I cannot emphasize enough how great Zach was—he exceeded expectations and managed to get us our new couch UNDER BUDGET. He was soooo incredibly nice, personable, understanding, compassionate, genuine, and honestly felt like family at the end of the transaction. I don’t think I would have purchased the couch if it weren’t for Zach and his help, hands down the best salesman I have worked with. In regards to our new sectional, it is the most amazing couch we have owned with a 4yr old, 1.5 yr old (both wild boys 🤪) and 2 dogs. We are soooooo happy with our purchase and we are so grateful for Zach’s help in finding an essential to our home. Thank you for your help Zach!!!

October 2024 I purchased a living room set in Orion Township, MI. Was told by Alex (salesperson) and another associate (as well as Lamar, the manager) that I could pay off my purchase with a credit credit of my own in order to get cc points after putting purchase on the Ashley card. A couple weeks later, I tried to do just that and could not do so on the app so I called Ashley credit. The fella there said there must be a glitch so I tried a day later. Still unable to do so, I called credit card again. Spoke to a lady that said you cannot use a credit card to pay it off. Since this was contrary to what I was told, I called Lamar. He didn't think I was correct so I had him call Ashley credit while I was on the phone with him. They confirmed so Lamar then graciously offered me 3% that I would've gotten from my cc company. Nice, right? That's about $98. (Not much money but I felt good that I had done the work to educate the sales staff so they wouldn't tell other customers untruths). Well, since then, I haven't gotten the $98 credit and I've spoken to Lamar twice (October 2024 and January 2025) each time bring told the credit would hit my account in 72 hours). Nope. Geez. Also, I was told that the furniture would be cleaned once a year and that I'd get a call to do that. I wasn't given any paperwork for the furniture cleaning. It's been almost a year. Wonder if that will happen?! Lesson Learned: Get it in writing or it doesn't exist.

Furniture shopping can be so intimidating. Alex made the experience smooth and exciting for me. He introduced himself as soon as we walked in and made it known he was there to assist when needed. I found the sofa and loveseat that was perfect for my new home. Alex was a delight to work with and very personable. Customer service horrible

Our sales person, Kim, at Auburn Hills store, was friendly and very knowledgeable about the furniture! She took her time and answered all of our questions and offered valuable advice. We purchased a whole bedroom set from the store and plan a shop with Kim in the future.

No one came to greet us when we walked in which is a pro and con. Would have preferred to at least ask questions to a rep but it is what it is. We took our business elsewhere.

I recently visited Ashley Furniture in Auburn Hills and was greeted by Samira. She went out of her way to walk me around the store and look for table options for me and even Search their website for online only tables that may interest me. I also viewed bedroom sets while there and she hooked me up with a huge discount. She went out of her way to give me the best customer service I’ve ever had at a furniture store. She was kind and helpful and not pushy at all. You could tell her goal was to get me that I truly wanted and liked. Not to just sell me something. I highly recommend asking for Samira if you visit Ashley Furniture if you’re looking for a kind, helpful and press free shopping experience.

Delivery guys were very polite and professional. I had a kitchen table delivered, but it is not attached to the base and there is no hardware to attach it. When I went to move the table the top came completely off. I had an oversized chair delivered and it is missing part of the cord to plug into the wall. One of the kitchen chairs has scratches on it.

I didn’t leave 5 stars because the manager, Josh was very antisocial and seemed unprofessional for a manager role. This is our second time in the store, and both times he never addressed us or interacted with us in any way even though he was only a few feet away from us He needs some training on how to interact with customers and support the sales representatives.

We were greeted by a professional young man, Alex Saleh, who walked us through the details of the furniture that we were requesting. He was knowledgeable and informative regarding construction and the available types of fabric. It was a comfortable conversation and we bought a sectional, coffee table and end table from him.

My husband and I went looking this morning to get some ideas on furniture for our new place. We were helped by Lana, who was subbing at this location, but was very helpful. We left, but I returned to ask some questions about dining tables. Lana mentioned that one of the tables we looked at was on a really good floor-model sale. Some nicks were on the table, so they offered us an even bigger discount. As they rang up our dining set, we learned it also came with a dining cabinet. They even offered to store the furniture for us for over a month, so we could take it with us when we move, since we cannot store it right now. 10/10 customer service!

This review is based on purchase experience only. I have not had delivery yet. Salesperson Alex was very attentive and seemed quite knowledgeable about mattresses. Prices were comparable to other stores but the no risk no fee to exchange sealed the deal along with the additional discount I got on pillow, cover and base. Alex also made a huge impact on my decision to go with them. Hoping I love my new mattress and the delivery goes smoothly.

This has been the most comfortable purchasing experience. Samira was very engaged in listening to our needs. She was very knowledgeable, and when she thought we might need deeper understanding, she reached out to a collegue to ensure we had our questions answered. We will be back and ask for her!

I purchased a chair from Ashley Furniture on May 11th after seeing it online. Shortly after my in-store purchase, I found the same chair $100 cheaper on their website, with free delivery and a $50 coupon. I contacted the store, and they initially agreed to price match and provide free delivery. After numerous calls and runarounds with a nice representative named Alex, I was told I would be reimbursed the $100 difference and free delivery. When the delivery date was too far out, I opted to pick up the chair myself on May 13th because it was free. They promised the refund on May 12th, but despite their assurance, the refund never showed up. Both the Manager Josh and assistant manager Ricco told me it was processed through corporate already. Corporate now claims they have no record of this arrangement and refuse to honor the promised refund because I picked up the chair and it’s completed. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. The lack of communication and follow-through, along with corporate’s refusal to honor their own commitment, is unacceptable. I expected better. This was my first and last experience with Ashley. I will never shop here again.

Absolutely terrible experience. A team member said I could do a layaway then when I paid my 100 to save the couch at the discount sale the boss came and said nope can’t do it. Then I said give me my money back and he said sorry can’t and gave me a customer service number to call. This place sucks and the managers name is Josh. Customer service was great at first honestly— then when I wanted to put the couch on lay away he didn’t care too much for me anymore. Other team members were helpful but I have a terrible experience and now I have to chase this $100 down that HIS TEAM member took from me and he claimed it was not his problem

0 / ordered the wrong chair/ was size smaller than what was on display/ when spoke with Manager about it he said he wasn’t present with sales person but he was. And I told him that. They were dishonest they knew the display didn’t come in black in the larger size and didn’t tell me. Won’t take the chair back . Terrible people. When I called this store on 2 different occasions and left messages (1 with a person and 1 vm) for the manager, a return call was never received. I had to file a claim with my bank for the additional charge to have it removed. Then the delivery drivers left the 2 couches in the wrong rooms. I am unable to move these (1 had to be brought in through my sliding doors). When I contacted the store - no returns, no help but it send me to a 1-866 number. Buyer beware. Horrible service and customer support.

We found the perfect loveseat for my mom, the right size and color! Our sales person, Samir Nagi was a huge help in finding it and scheduling it for delivery on the perfect day in another state. She really went over and above. Sadly, Ashley did not deliver the couch on Saturday as planned. We think it was sold to someone else. The delivery of the couch is now set for Wednesday. I'm so disappointed. We'll see if it shows up. On a good note our sales person contacted me every step of the way and tried to help. I still recommend her. The couch was delivered on Wednesday and they did a good job.

Why schedule a time and day and not show up?

The reason why I’m giving it 2 stars is because the sales man was super nice and not pushy. Do not go here to buy your furniture. They can’t assist you with any issues at the store they send you to a phone number where you can file a complaint via text message or online. My furniture was delivered completely filthy. When I called about it. I was told well you bought the warranty file a claim . I shouldn’t have to file a claim. I don’t understand why it was brought to my house filthy. The delivery people were negligent, dropped my sofa, and my chair didn’t even apologize for it. Kind of giggle it off and continue to bring it in the house. I was told they don’t have anything to do with the condition of the furniture. I have to take that up with the warranty department even though they’re the ones that dropped it and caused the issues. Their warranty/service department is a complete joke. Don’t waste your money.

You know, it was actually quite good. The salespeople presented options but I didn’t feel pressured. I appreciated that.

We went here today to look for a chest of drawers. We found one we really liked. The price was too high for the quality, and we were offered $100 off. This was very gracious. We said we would think about it overnight and return tomorrow if we wanted to make the purchase. The young salesgirl said, “I cannot guarantee you that price or a delivery next week if you don’t buy it right now.” I said, “We don’t like to be pressured like that.” Salesgirl said “Okay” and turned around and walked away. We will never, ever return to this store or any other Ashley furniture store.

Alex was a wonderful salesperson very nice and very patient. Also even recommended that I go to another Ashley's store to make sure I found the right couch. I did and I came back to him.

My order for my bed frame was cancelled without any notification. I am moving out of state in one week and will not have a bed available. Luckily I called to follow up on the order and the manager was able to order another bed frame (not the original one) and the soonest availability is in 3 weeks. I am highly disappointed in the lack of communication from this store.

To say i had a great experience at this location would be a lie. Started out walking in to look for a new dresser, after looking around for a while without a single greet or welcome, i found one, struggling to find a worksr i ended up hetting ahold of a gentleman, who was great and very nice. Helped me get the info for the piece i liked, took me to the counter to place my order. I needed it delivered because i am without a truck and between my busy work schedule, and with moving out. I had no time for pickup. So after paying full for this dresser, and the delivery fee, i thought all would be great. Easy process, friendly people and a great piece for my new living space. Nope. After waiting several hours in the morning that i had taken off of work, i get a call. The piece i had ordered was not delivered and my piece was discontinued. Where did this leave me? Hours of my work day consumed, no dresser that was paid for. And a unhappy customer. I work in the customer service industry and i get it. Mistakes happen. But its more so of how you find a solution to a problem. Joshua, the manager i was told to talk to upon my arrival and second trip to the store. Was not there and they would leave my info out so he would be aware of the situation. The next day, and the 3rd visit to the store i get in contact with Joshua, not very enthusiastic and aware of what was going on, Joshua pawns me off to a very nice lady who did want to help me out. Unfortunately i was not able to come to terms with a replacement piece i liked, and a solution to my on going problem. I than asked for a refund, i did not want to do business with a store that management made me feel unappreciated and like i am a burden. I could see the disappointment on his face when i asked for my money back. Not in me but the loss in a sale and future customer. Feel like its more about the money at this point. Now i have to call to get my money back, which will be a process, than a 10-12 day timeframe with refund, which was to be expected as its like that for anything. I will not be returning to Ashley, and definitely will not be reccomending this company to any one after this experience.

Delivery people are friendly, but the quality of the material is extremely poor. The bedroom set is in drastically different shades for the various pieces, one piece had a huge white spot where no stain was applied, and the bed rails are not properly aligned to match the pattern of the trim pieces.

I came in Sunday looking for a new couch and coffee table. The associate that helped me was Alex. Alex was amazing!! He has a great personality and you can tell really enjoys his job. The chairs we tried were very nice and competitively priced. We purchased 3 for over $3k total. The delivery was promised for the same day which was great! However they never showed up. As it turned out, a glitch in the system put too many on that date. As we waited and waited, the only customer support line (all automated) confirmed the same day delivery. No phone option for a human. Why didn’t someone (or AI) catch this and reach out? I had to drive back to the store to sort it. Now we have to wait 5 more days (and rearrange our work schedule) for delivery. Not a good experience in the end.

Terrance was so knowledgeable in the product. We purchased a sectional. There was no pressure and all questions were answered!

Buying new furniture is stressful and more so because of the salespeople that stalk and chase us through the store. But today, we had the best experience ever because of Terrance C. He politely acknowledged us in passing as we wandered but never once pushed for a sale. His low key personality and patience with us made it an easy transaction. The customer service was excellent, the prices were quite high. I only made the purchase because the furniture is made in USA. Too bad there was no additional discount for purchasing multiple items otherwise I’d purchase much more.

UPDATE: Horrible customer service. Salesperson who sold me my mattress failed to mention or give any paperwork about the exchange system they have in place. If you buy a mattress at a higher price than the one you want to exchange, you have to still pay the higher price. Such a scam! No paperwork, no mention of that at time of purchase. Joshua (manager??) had no remorse or empathy for my situation, barely even acknowledged me while I was speaking to him, and basically said I’m out of luck. Take your money somewhere else where they’re honest and actually care!!

Sales rep and entire experience was great

This was my first time shopping at Ashley Furniture. My experience there was very surprising. I wasn't pressured or stalked by any sales person and that is refreshing. Salesperson Tim gave me a great deal of information about the furniture I was looking for and then when I went back the next day. Salesperson Elisa continued the professionalism of that location. Even the delivery team that brought my furniture out we're very on-point and courteous. I would advise people to shop there, nice furniture and good atmosphere. Thank you Ashley Team.

I stopped into the store looking for accessories for my bedroom . The sales person was very sweet and let me browse through the store . When I found an item I wanted and wanted she was so accommodating to make the sale apply to my selections . It was a pleasure shopping and not being pressured. Thank you again ! I purchased a mattress and base from Ashley and received a discount for buying them together. The mattress came with a 90-day one-time exchange warranty, which I used to exchange it for a different firmness. To my surprise, I was charged extra for an exactly same priced mattress because Ashley decided to reduce the original discount even though the store was offering the same offer during the exchange. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the store manager. He was unwilling to help and quickly dismissed my concerns. His temperament added to the frustration and showed a complete lack of care for resolving customer issues. This was a straightforward exchange under the warranty, and the base I purchased remained unchanged. Penalizing me for using a warranty they provided feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. It's unfair and disrespectful to customers. Shop elsewhere if you want clear terms and fair treatment.

I ordered a table and chairs from here in November. The table arrived two weeks late and when it did arrive one of the chairs was broken. They said they would get me a new chair in seven to ten business days. Now that new chair won’t be here for at least two months they’re saying. This is absolutely not acceptable.

Couch sales guy charged me $1900 for a sectional couch in store, went home and found the same couch on Ashley home stores website for $400 less. Won’t buy in store again, customer service was helpful.

Bought a sofa in 2021, had a rough experience for delivery but it showed up in under 6 months. This Christmas break I went to tuck the seat cushion back in and the zipper under the back cushion burst. I just learned that the 5 year warranty offered by Ashley's explicitly does NOT cover zipper failure. I can't find the zipper anymore either so I'm not sure how to repair it myself. I have no other recourse than to let others know of my poor experience with Ashley quality and ineffectual warranty. EDIT: couch is fixed, but there was a bit of a misunderstanding. It seems that if the couch is out of the 1 year warranty you can't have any service completed. I was sold the repair part by mistake and told the service couldn't be completed and I couldn't be refunded. Luckily Maria in escalation helped me out or I'd be sitting here with an $80 service part and a broken couch with no way of getting my money back short of notifying the credit card company. Service guys were great, they along with Maria are the only reason I updated this review.

Excellent service Would recommend highly

I’m so disappointed! Sales rep Lee did nothing but lie to me! Day 2 after delivery I called to return. Fabric is loose on cushions, deformed cushions, extremely uncomfortable. Beware, they will say anything for a sale here. It’s also impossible to reach customer service/warranty department. After being on hold for forever, they say they’ll call back and you won’t lose your place in-line. Problem is, they never call back.

Tim was a great salesman and his manager Lamar is also very professional. I didn’t feel annoyed or pressured like I usually do at furniture stores. I will definitely come back here. Thanks guys.

Do not buy furniture here. Worst customer service. My sleeper sofa and coffee table were supposed to arrive between 7:15-10:15 am today, according to their “chat bot Jenny”, that texted me 4 times. When it didn’t arrive by 10:40 am I called the stores number, got a robot who connected me to a live voice who said they had no record of any texts going to my number and that I was not on the delivery schedule. She didn’t know why but she could put me on the delivery schedule. I had to ask her 3 times for a supervisor. Waited over 45 minutes for an “escalations specialist”. Who was very vague about what happened but did confirm that I was sent texts and was on the delivery schedule but was taken off because “either the couch was defective or some other issue “. She couldn’t tell me if there was another one available until Wednesday, but “no guarantee.” No one be from Ashley furniture notified me of any of this. She said that she would email the supply department and that IShould call the store. ( this phone call took at least an hour and a half.) I called the salesman on his cell and he said he would get back to me Right away after he was done with his customer When he didn’t get back to after an hour, called him again and he said that if I worked in retail sales I would know that that he can’t leave a customer waiting on the floor. It is 4:15 pm and no word from him. Tried calling the store but got the same recording and the recording hung up on me. Meanwhile my old sleeper sofa was taken out for trash pick up today and my relatives who are coming for Thanksgiving won’t have a place to sleep or sit. The escalation specialist in Texas joked that “ I should get a hammock and put it up in the backyard”, in Michigan. Not funny! They just want your money. Everything is paid for. I will cancel the order if not resolved ASAP. I would give 0 stars if possible.

I worked guy with named Sam. He is really good. He gives info and personal space to think about. Felt comfortable with him. I went there to have a look at one of the sofas. It wasn’t there. He showed another which we liked it better and bought it and a dining table.

The manager of the store was awful. I asked him to confirm delivery date 3 times and he never did. Delivery did not happen on time. Then my delivery was delayed 5 times. Order was placed 11/7/24 was supposed to be delivered 11/27. That did not take place. Then I have 4 more delivery dates. One of the those dates fulfilled half my order. The rest of the order was scheduled for several dates but canceled. Finally got the rest of my order today. Needless to say…I will never buy another thing from Ashley.

The reps at the store are very attentive and work with you financally. The don’t pressure you and find you what you need.

Only looking for a sale. Won't follow through with what they say they will do and their products do not hold up. Items are not constructed well and they will try to deceive you by hiding issues. See photos. If you do end up buying something, do not waste your money on the 5 yr extended coverage. It covers nothing that actually makes sense and is a waste of money.

Very kind & gifted SALES team. Be aware managers are completely and totally incompetent. They have absolutely no basic understanding in basic processing of a check. Checks are infact legal tender. To the Area Manager of Ashley - Lamarr S. needs a great deal more training. You cannot expect a customer to wait over an hour to process a check. That is simply not acceptable. [The check was a good check, with a great deal more in the account, than the written check value.] ((Please train your managers.)) The sad part they prefer a credit card, which results for them a LOSS in profit.

DO NOT GET FURNITURE FROM HERE Back in 2021 we were looking for a good quality couch for our home. We found a great couch that we paid a good chunk of money for thinking it would last long. Fast forward three years later and there is a tear in the couch… just from sitting on it (we are not large people). Ashley’s would not help us in getting a replacement cushion due to it being “out of their warranty time frame”, yet the sales person sold us on a manufacturer warranty telling us it would cover stuff like this… well it doesn’t. So now we are stuck with an expensive couch that is getting a rip on it. Highly recommend buying elsewhere in hopes customer service is better and a company that actually believes in their product quality. Will not be purchasing from here again.

Normal furniture salesmen tactics.I would love to just walk in a furniture store and be able to look without the constant surveillance of the salesman.unfortunately we walked in at a time when we were the only customers in the store. I had a very bad experience at Ashley. I received my table base damaged and I was told that they would replace it , and they didn’t. The store manager Bledi Tome could have given me the floor model, but he was totally not interested in helping me. I also left messages for higher up managers, and no one has bother to contact me. I will never do business with Ashley Home Stores again!! Buyers be aware!!! I just filed a civil lawsuit against them, because when you are spending your hard earn money you should receive your items in good condition.The owner has some generic apology after each complaint!! Feel free to call us I did 20 times and nothing was done. Keep your apologies offer better customer service!!!!

We were out shopping for new bedroom furniture and wanted too stop at all the local furniture stores to see our options. Planned on buying that day as I had my trailer with me as well incase we found something in stock we could take it with us. My wife found a bedroom set she really liked at this store. We told the sales rep we had one more stop to look at first before making our decision. As we were walking out he stopped us at the door and said the manager would give us 25% off instead of 15% I said great we will probably be back but still wanted to check out the last store. Then he said his manager said this was a now only deal. I asked if we came back in three hours would they not honor that and the manager said no. 25% now or 15% in three hours. I walked out knowing I would not be coming back with those tactics. Wife not to happy as she really liked that set but I will not purchase from a store or company that trys to use those kind of pressure tactics. I would recommend staying away from a place like this. They lost a sale. I will defintly not be going back.

She was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The furniture has since been delivered and I love it. Comfy and appears to be great quality!

Updating review based on two failed delivery attempts of 2 items that were not given notice that they were backordered another 2 weeks bringing total to 10 weeks from original order date. After the first reschedule, was notified that they would be in stock by certain date only to find out on the delivery date that the truck didn't have any knowledge of that order and upon calling customer service was notified that it was again out of stock. Maybe more reflection of the corporate logistics than the store, but frustrated customer nonetheless.

Within less than 24 hours later had filed a “warranty “ claim. In the interim I noticed two small holes in couch and again had to send pics/ video. (Already sent once) Part arrived, contacted “customer care team” and was scheduled for a service call. Cut to the chase, no one showed so called”customer service” (call center) and informed no service call was scheduled! My $4000.00 furniture will be sitting here with tags still attached for a month. Totally disgusted

The prices in the store are inflated so they can say they’re giving you a deal when they’re not. Check the online store before making any purchases here. The workers here are also very aggressive, in the sense that they are actually just mean. The most horrific customer service experience I have ever been a part of. Never buy from this store. If there’s a piece of furniture you absolutely need from here, just buy it online and save yourself the money and having to deal with these people.

I am so disappointed with the quality of the delivery and the haphazard assembly. The delivery crew threw the feet on my sectional as fast as possible leaving me with noticeably crooked feet that can be seen across the room. Less than a month in and one of the legs on my dining chairs broke, leading me to investigate the problem only to find out it was assembled incorrectly at the warehouse. They even taped over the bolts to either try to hold it together or indicate there was a problem. Either way it was delivered and almost toppled over with my child in it. Then I go to check the rest of my chairs to find them all with very loose bolts, missing bolts and improper aligned joints. To make it even worse, they had actually stripped out about a third of the hex nut bolt heads so they can't be loosened or tightened. I'm so disappointed. The couch is comfortable at least, but the coffee table was scuffed on delivery. Oh, and good luck chatting with their AI customer service bot. It offered me $15 to keep a broken chair. This is obviously a company that doesn't care about their customers, only making the sale. I'm fed up. No return policy, just awful all around. I'll never shop with them again.

My salesman indicated that the protection plan was part of my "package"; however, on my bill it was an extra $300 to cover a $550 table and chairs, and if I didn't get the protection plan I couldn't have the discount. I told him to cancel the deal, then after about 20 minutes he agreed to my terms. The set was delivered and it is beautiful. I also don't like that I was never able to call and speak to anyone.

Lamarr from the store in Orion Michigan was a dream to work with. He was patient, upfront and professional. We left the store excited about what we purchased and had a clear understanding of prices, delivery and protection plans. We'll be back to Ashley's again and soon.

I wouldn’t come to anyone else for furniture help. We also left with two bed bases that raise and massage us as we lay in bed! Totally unrelated but we are glad to now have those! I was quite pleased that they price matched the price I found in northern Michigan. I ordered it over the phone, no in-store experience. I just sent then a picture of the chair with the price tag attached and it was matched, no questions asked. They are even allowing us to pick it up from the warehouse rather than going out of my brother's way to pick it up at the store in Orion.

My husband and I purchased a three-piece couch set for our living room, along with some clearance furniture items, and Bledi was AMAZING! He talked us through every part and helped get us the best deals. He has a wonderful and positive personality that reflected well on us while we were shopping today! Had an excellent experience at Ashley over the weekend. We had just moved and were sitting on camp chairs in our living room. We weren't sure exactly what we wanted, what colors or even the arrangement. Bledi, A.K.A. Spiderman, gave us the space to absorb all the options without bombarding us with useless facts about foam densities and fabric chemistry for items we weren't interested in. He was exceptionally helpful at pairing couches and chairs to explore design options until we arrived at the perfect choice. Obviously salespeople are going to sell what they have but Spiderman truly took the time to understand our needs and help us find a solution.

Great sales attention without being overbearing

I had the pleasure of working with Hannah at the lake Orion store. I’m always busy, can be rude and very impatient. Although the couch I wanted wasn’t present in their show room Hannah understood what I was looking for and found the sectional on their website. I didn’t spend much time at the store due to I didn’t see what I was looking for. Hannah took down my phone number and advised me that Ashley did have the furniture I was looking for. Hannah stayed in constant communication with me which was very surprising. Hannah provided excellent customer service, communication and follow up. Usually salespeople state call them if u have any questions but she didn’t cause she reach out to me daily with updates. If you go to Ashley Furniture in Lake Orion ask for Hannah she is excellent.

My salesman, Lamar, was great to work with. He kept notes which made it easy to come back a second time to purchase my furniture after I closed on my new home. He even came in on his day off to finalize the sale.

On the way out the door of Ashley Furniture we were approached by a very astute salesperson. We didn't think they had anything we wanted but we were wrong. With a little maneuvering and changing chairs we were sold. If you are looking for furniture ask for “Spiderman!” He's the best!

We were shopping for a new mattress and adjustable base. We had shopped around and were not pleased with competition pricing. Elisa was very helpful and helped us get the mattress we wanted at a price that was comfortable with us.

I want to return/ exchange this cheap furniture, I bought extended warranty & made attempted to make a claim or just return within 3 days & company denied. Find somewhere else. Delivery was 2 hours late, delivery company would not take off shoes and tried to walk in my house with muddy shoes. Salesman lied to me & said delivery company will take out my old furniture to the road. Supposedly this isn't something they offer! And I guess I was supposed to let them know before delivery that they need shoe covers??? O stars BTW they ask you you to leave a good review for the company while in the store

Most horrific shopping experience! Sales people and managers are total liars! Product is cheap and they do not stand behind it!! If you get a damaged piece, it's "oh well, when it's in your home, it's yours"!! All sales final, no returns even if product is damaged! Customer service the same, in your home, it's yours, even if you want to exchange for a more expensive model and pay the difference. The store people say they'll call you back but NEVER do, they make promises and commitments they cannot do at store level. Customer service makes promises but doesn't deliver. Truly the worst experience and most lies ever, the store doesn't even know whom the manager is, we had 4 different ones. All lied, no one called us back. Stay far away or beware...

She was relaxed and professional. One of the things that I like about Ashley Furniture is the sales associates don't breathe down your neck. I placed my order and left the store, then had remorse over the color of the fabric. I returned and Kimberly gave me zero static over changing up the entire order (six items). When I left the store a second time (she had it fixed in 5 minutes) I was very glad I chose Ashley.

My girlfriend and I came in around a month ago to look at mattresses since mine was caving in on itself. We looked and found a mattress we like, and spoke with Tony. We came back today and ended getting a base, a protector, two pillows, and the mattress. Tony was fantastic. He is salesman, but he was never overbearing and really easy to work with. Highly recommend going here and seeing him. Fantastic experience.

On Saturday April 13th me and my wife decided to stop on in after working 3rd shift when we first showed up we was greeted by this very kind gentleman he tried assisting us and he assisted us about half way through the store but we didn’t have any more questions well we continued walking around and another employee came up to us and started talking to us and we was looking around in the mattress section and started asking us if we needed help and kept insisting that he would help us and we simply told him we just wanted to walk around and check everything out and that we was not touching anything or messsing with anything just simply scrolling through the store for the moment then he insisted that he needed to be right there with us and that we was not allowed to walk around the store by our self we felt like criminals like we was stealing stuff or something I don’t even know what was going through his brain at that moment we feel we was racial profiled in our eyes so we decided to just leave if we can’t walk around at our own pace and talk among our self. While we was walking out to our car the original gentleman that was assisting us ended up walking right out after us all upset he understood what was going on and he was not happy about it at all. We definitely will not be back this was the first time we have never been to this location but we have been to multiple locations especially the one in bad axe mi but this will be the last time.

Spider-Man is the absolute most patient and knowledgeable guy. We will be seeing him for any future furniture needs!!

Save your time and money. Bought a dining set that they delivered with multiple wobbly chairs. One had a full 1/4 inch gap in the leg. Then they ghosted me when it came to fixing the issue or even responding. We had even paid extra for White Glove Service and Extended Warranty.

Zero none bad service damaged furniture customer service is ridiculous!

Most horrible customer service experience I’ve ever experienced. Salesperson did not order all of the parts for the bed that I ordered. The store refused to help and kept promising the Manager would call us back but never did. They only answer their phone if you are a new customer trying to make a new purchase. Had three different orders with the store and all three deliveries were messed up. Stay away from this store. I ordered furniture from both Gardner White and Bob’s Discount furniture and had no issues.

I dread buying furniture because the salesmen I usually get are pushy, making the experience uncomfortable. Not this time. Tony Bonk made choosing the perfect mattress and adjustable base a piece of cake. He listened to my description of mine and my husband's sleeping habits and showed me a few mattresses he thought would be a good fit. Ashley Furniture is lucky to have him! Delivery was also a breeze, with great communication. I was able to track the delivery on my phone so I knew almost exactly when they would arrive.

I’m beyond frustrated. Went in the other day and purchased a mattress, base, and frame. The kid helping me was new but he was nice. I confirmed with him over 3 times that I needed the delivery on Saturday and he assured me it would get delivered on Saturday. Well surprise surprise, I get a message from a chat bot telling me my delivery is Monday. I have to work which is why I needed SATURDAY. I’ve tried calling and even talking with the chat bot to get me to someone real that can help to no avail. Beyond frustrated. Now my mom has to take time out of her day to sit at my house and wait for the delivery. BEYOND frustrated. Won’t be purchasing anything from Ashley in the future.

I knew what I wanted. And Jennifer was amazing making sure it was perfect!!! I also enjoyed the interaction with the other associates and management!!!! Even though you didn't have the Loveseat I wanted Jennifer didn't stop looking until she exhausted every avenue.

They sell me a sofa that I don't request it. But they charge me for it. And then they put the right thing and lay away. When I cancel it, customer service is poor so they don't answer fast. Then they finally after a week. Come to get the sofa from my house. And it's been more than a month that I haven't get my money back. This is a horrible horrible store to buy stuff.

Demarcus helped us pick out the perfect media center for our room and gave us the best price. This is our second time shopping for furniture at Ashley because we love the quality of well made furniture.

This was my first time coming to Ashley’s furniture and I was not disappointed! Tony helped me purchase my first couch. He was extremely patient, answered all questions I had, and was so personable! I will definitely be back for future furniture purchases!

If I could give zero stars, I would. From selecting the bed, purchasing, delivery, every single step went wrong! The person who greeted us as the door knows nothing about what bed they have, what their prices are, and it took forever to get an simple answer. Then the purchasing part, the person miss printed the documents I need to sign twice and wasted so much time. Then the delivery, it delivery people came freaking 2 hours later than the scheduled time frame, and they went inside the bed room with outside boots, I had to clean the floor thourghly afterwards. Then customer support promised a credit to compensate for this and when the bill comes in, the credit is not shown at all, every thing is a lie. BTW, it takes so much effort to acually talks to an customer support. This is THE worst shopping experience I have ever had. Please avoid Ashely for your life.

Didn't show up in the time frame that you said you would show up. Didn't show up till 8 hours later. Worst delivery experienceI ever had plus things were missing. Didn't have my mattress. And didn't have side pieces to the bed frame.

Revised post: I AM EDITING MY POST DUE TO LACK OF COMMUNICATION, FLAWED PRODUCTS, AND PROMISES UNKEPT. BRIEFLY, THE DELIVERY DATE WAS NOT MET. 1.)Salesman Paul said he would refund 50% (one half of $269.99) of white glove delivery due to lateness (one week). It's been almost 4 months and no credit has been received on my credit card. 2. Salesman Paul H. Has been contacted several times about construction flaws of table and recliner seat. He completely stopped communicating after a few text messages. NEITHER HE NOR THE STORE ADDRESSES PHONE CONTACTS. Ashley's apparently cuts you off if there is a problem. 2.)The table will not close tightly. Hence you can see floor if sitting in a position above seam. Also it will allow crumbs and debris to fall in seam. A REUND, REPAIR, EXCHANGE, OR SMALL PRICE ADJUSTMENT WAS OFFERED. I never heard from Paul again. I explained I could live with insufficient padding in seat of recliner by adding a pillow. IN closing, I cannot do business with a merchant who is inaccessible or flat out ignores you. And obviously, the store does not stand behind its products. MY NEW RATING IS 1 OUT OF 5. THE SALESMAN WAS NICE WHILE SHOPPING AND I LIKE THE APPEARANCE OF THE DINING SET AND RECLINER. SO I GIVE A "1" RATING. ALL OTHER EXPERIENCES WITH ASHEY'S AFTER SALE HAVE RESULTED IN VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE (no serice) AND QUESTIONABLE PRODUCT QUALITY. Stll awaiting 50% refund of delivery. No one greeted us when we went in. The good thing was no salesman following around pressuring us, but when we were ready we had to go find someone. He was very nice and helpful with no pressure which I really appreciate

Dan was wonderful! Enjoyed working with him. He helped with a lot of our choices.

Our sales person didn’t seem to eager. Said he didn’t know if they had the chair we saw online so we walked the store. After not finding it and he was giving up I asked can’t he look it up on their computer to see if it’s in the store which it was. You’d think he’d do that first or even second after we walked the store. Maybe he’s new is my guess!

The associate sales manager of this location, Paul Hoffman was rude and would not honor his words.. Wasn’t a pleasant experience visiting this store. Though the salesperson Jennifer tried to be helpful, I would not recommend shopping at this store because of that demeaning attitude shown by the sales manager. He demeans you for your choices/selection made. A regrettable visit.

I went in yesterday and seen Mark and purchased some stuff from him and then went right back in today and seen Brisa and purchased some stuff from her. They have an amazing team at the Orion Charter Township store and I 10/10 recommend this store for any of your home furnishing needs. Thanks Team!

Ashley could’ve had my business but their sales people were all glued to texting on their phones. No one helped me or acknowledge me.

Got everything I needed which is all that matters at the end of the day. Furniture is very nice and I’m excited for it to come. But took 2 hours from when we selected our furniture to get out of the store. I’ve bought cars faster than this. Employee didn’t know how to use the system. Nice guy, but someone should’ve taken over sooner. I wasted too much time on a Saturday afternoon for what should be a rather simple transaction. After we left we got a call saying they over charged us by $500 and we now have to schedule our own delivery. Total discombobulation. When you pay 10k for something, I expect organization and execution, not a free for all.

Really have to give 5 stars to my shopping experience. My sales associate, Barisa, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and worked to meet my needs! Now I am excited to have all of my new furniture delivered!

Best furniture store experience I’ve ever had - all of the staff is great and not at all pushy or obnoxious - readily available without hovering. Got a great deal on both purchases I made.

Bed delivered one month ago, missing parts. To this date, not yet assembled. Several items not yet delivered and date yet to be confirmed (but you need to be on top of them to hear news). One of the products were discontinued after included in our order..... Money not yet returned. Never buying there again.

First time in this store and likely the last. Not one person greeted me or asked if I needed help as I walked the entire store looking at multiple items. Pretty good selection of products, but I’ll visit the other furniture store around the corner. And no, the store was not packed this evening. Very disappointing.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This will go down as the worst customer service experience I have ever witnessed. We bought a full bedroom set with a brand new sealy king mattress. Low and behold the incompetent salesman failed to realize that the bed set we bought is not compatible with the mattress. We didn’t find this out until our delivery was made and the guys couldn’t set it up. We have contacted customer service a dozen times only to be told something completely different every time. We’ve also contacted the store and left Paul a voicemail regarding our concerns… and to no surprise no call back. We’ve had to re schedule our delivery 2x now because all of a sudden our bed set pieces are on back order. I’ve been requesting management to call me to discuss our situation for days and they still have not called. All in all terrible experience. Will never bring my business here again and will make sure everyone I know stays away EDIT*** After being told last week that our missing pieces were in and they were going to be delivered. I just received a phone call saying that our pieces were damaged and could not be delivered this week. The running joke continues!

Salespeople were very helpful and had a lot of product knowledge. Downside was that we received a 20% off coupon in the mail but when we decided to purchase they said the coupon didn't apply because our furniture had to be ordered. I felt like it was unfair because it wasn't our fault that they didn't have the set we wanted in their store.

Edit (October 2023) Don't spend your money here. I'm still waiting on a couch repair, as the repair tech has no-showed 3 times and on the 4th visit notified me that Ashley sent the wrong materials to repair. Now I'm waiting another 4-6 weeks for the materials and then scheduling 30+ days out for a repair tech in my area to be available. In total, the couch will take longer to repair than it was actually in my possession. The rep I've been in contact with, Maria with the company's Strike Escalation Team, has been absent, rude, and refused to further escalate my issues and quite literally told me "you're going to have to deal with it." In store management shrugged me off and said there's nothing they can do for me, but referred me to an Operations Division phone line. Per the number, their hours of operation are 8a-8p; it's 9:30a and they're still closed. I'd suspect this company is collapsing. I would avoid this furniture brand at all costs. They've done nothing remotely close to resembling help. (Originally posted August 2023) Not happy right now. Purchased a $2K couch 5 months ago and it’s tearing along the seams. I’ve called to request a warranty claim and replacement/repair two weeks ago and it’s been silence. Finally got somebody on the phone this morning and he can’t give me any idea of when it will be resolved, quite literally having said “I don’t know what to tell you.” Not only is this couch not even a half year from being purchased, I even bought the 5-year extended warranty. Is this how you treat your customers? Take my money and leave me high and dry?

Stay away from this story... they can't be trusted. We paid for the extended warranty on a kitchen table and now they are making us jump through a thousand hoops to get someone out to fix it even though we were told it would be covered and an easy process. I guess they win because I don't have the time to continue with the call/emails/texts with customer service. I am done with them.
