Overall, our experience with Ashley was bad from start to finish. We were looking to purchase 2 couches and a bedroom set. The first sales associate didn’t know how to work her iPad so she got us a different person. The second person gave us a quote and it seemed pricy so we asked for an email break down. When I got home and reviewed the quote, we noticed a few things. 1. The online prices are substantially cheaper. 2. They did not tell us the protection was as pricy as it was. They just asked us if we wanted it and did not tell us there was a large cost. At the end of the day, we went back to the store after doing our homework and saved almost THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS. When we asked why the big difference all they said was “it’s like that sometimes”. Regarding delivery, we confirmed a half dozen times and had a window on a Thursday. They cancelled our delivery the night before at 6pm and said it was on back order. They said they won’t deliver a partial order. We already took the day off work and wasted it for nothing. The following week when the delivery did show up, the bed was missing hardware and they were unable to assemble it. They said they would contact us with a solution. The next morning they sent a driver out and did not tell us so we missed him entirely (we haven’t been able to move in to our new house yet). There was no confirmation or anything. So now we are rescheduling again and it will be 2 weeks since our initial delivery date. Customer service line is terrible for assistance. In summary - unless you can purchase the furniture and pick it up in the store that day and are sure you have the best price, I would not recommend Ashley furniture.

We had a hard bargain, but I think it will be worth it! Can’t wait to get our new furniture. The salesman Lenny was great to work with then Mark finished the deal. A lot of patience was needed with us to complete the deal, but it was worth it!

Looking for a floor lamp. Our sales person, Chantz, was helpful. He found just what we wanted. Plus we could take the lamp off the floor.

I’ll be honest at one point I was going to say forget it. Also purchase was 2800. Again I feel charging for delivery was really not acceptable to me. Delivery won’t be until April so I hope I calm down by then.OR maybe I will cancel order in allotted amount of time. I’m not sure how I feel. I bought I bed frame and a rug on Black Friday. First off Erik the guy helping us check out, opened a credit card before I officially said I would open a line of credit and said well it’s too late I already ran it. Second he asked if I wanted the protection plan and I said no and still added it on and didn’t tell me until I was signing. Finally a month later I never got my rug. They said it was delivered it never was. Had me jumping through hoops opening cases and never heard back. After finally going back to the store they kept giving me the run around on the phone saying the store had it but when I got to the store they were acting sketchy saying it wasn’t there. After an hour and half sitting in the store they magically had it in the back with a shipping label going to Indiana. They tried stealing from me and reselling it and because I was persistent they magically found it. This was my first and last time using Ashley furniture and will be closing my card asap!

We had an amazing experience at Ashley’s thanks to Mark S. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and attentive to what we were looking for. Mark took the time to help us find the perfect pieces for both our living room and bedroom without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. His guidance made the entire process smooth and enjoyable, and we’re so happy with our selections. Highly recommend asking for Mark S. if you’re shopping at Ashley’s!

I was given three different time frames as to when I would receive a new bed I purchased which was needed ASAP all three time frames have gone by and I still don't have the bed I needed in an emergency, I would never purchase again from such obvious liars who do not stand by their word. This place just sucks, I got pretty shitty service when purchasing the bed, the guy selling me the bed did not seem to know how to work the register and took a long time to cash me out.

Had a great experience with Filip. He may be new but he is definitely mastering customer service, communication, and can match you up with your needs with the best recommendations and work quick and swiftly. He is very personable

We went into an Ashley store to see if we could purchase additional dining chairs to match the chairs we purchased over 10 years ago. The salesman, Erik, was very nice and knowledgeable. I showed him a photo of our chair and he knew exactly what it was. Fortunately they were in stock at the local warehouse so I chose to go pick them up. The lady at customer pickup was certainly not a match for her role. Any personality showing just bordered on rude. As the “face” of the company, Ashley could (and should) do better than her. Not a hint of a polite smile or any attempt at thanking me for my business. The young man that carried the box to my car was at least friendly so he helped salvage some of my soured experience with the sourpuss at the counter.

Nice product good service. The only problem was that I ordered the protection plan but it was not on the order. I will have to go back to the store after Christmas to see if I can get it fixed.

I would recommend Ashley for your furniture needs. I also recommend seeing Jay for your sales assistance.

Best experience buying furniture. Absolutely no pressure from sales. I was looking for a living room set, and they have a ton to choose from at all prices. Skip all other stores and go here. Pricing is very reasonable and compares with other retailers.

Ordered a couch, and cancelled the next day as it wouldn’t fit through my door. They said I’d have the refund in 2 weeks. I was shocked when I didn’t see the refund 3 weeks later. When I called them they said the order wasn’t cancelled. They transferred me to the cancellation team again and no one answered. I’ve had to make several calls now and re-explain the issue. So disappointed here. All of the other companies I’ve worked with give you your refund within a few days, I have to share this so no one else has to go through this. I’m still waiting for my refund :(. Buyer beware here.

Our sales guy Jay was great to deal with. I normally get turned off buy furniture sales people but he was just a normal guy helping us out with our purchase. I appreciated his time and knowledge with our mattress purchase.

They gave me a window for which they would be delivering the furniture (12:30-3:30). Then they sent me an update on a time that they would be there and the original time Was 1:17. with that being said, the bed was not delivered until almost 3:30. Yes, it filed during the window that they said the delivery will come, but every time I would check the status update that they told me to check. It kept going back-and-forth between 130 to 2, and then it would increase again and then it will go back down and increase again. I thought this was very unprofessional. It doesn’t make sense to send people to track when an item is going to be delivered if they are going to keep changing it and increasing it. Then they said the bed would be delivered in 30 minutes and they did not get there till almost an hour after.

We purchased a set of couches about 5 months ago. I also purchased extended warranty! They are the worst set ever!!! I have a 9 month old who just started cringing and these couches have feathers coming out of them all day! I am all day making sure there is no feathers on the floor so my daughter doesn’t end up choking on one or getting poked by it! I have called Ashley’s over 10 times and nobody wants to help all they can do is send out a replacement which I don’t get why I would agree to a replacement it won’t help the feather issue! Terrible! Worst purchase I have ever made! Spend 3k and about ready to throw them out the window!!!!!

Our experience at the store was actually really great. We were able to find what we wanted and order it. We ordered a leather couch and loveseat. We were told that the loveseat was backordered, which we really didn't think at the time was going to be a big deal. We received our couch and love it. About one month or so later, my husband received a confirmation text that the loveseat was in and could be delivered. He confirmed the delivery date within one minute of the confirmation text from Ashley - we have screenshots to prove it. He has the day off ready to accept the delivery of our loveseat and he gets a text last minute saying they have rescheduled for the next day. When we called customer service to inquire as to why, we were told that we did not confirm the delivery date in enough time. He confirmed it within ONE MINUTE of getting it. The customer service rep claims we confirmed after the 30 minute time limit which was a total lie. This EXACT scenario also happened to a coworker of mine who took the day off to accept a delivery and it was canceled the morning of the delivery for the same reason and customer service ALSO lied about the timing of the confirmation text. So this is not just a one off failure of customer service, this is their PRACTICE. This is inconvenient for most people who do not have unlimited vacation days or who can't leave work at the drop of a hat. We spent a lot of money on this furniture. We waited an additional month for a piece we already paid for a month prior. We confirmed delivery within one minute. Customer service at Ashley Furniture is awful. If this company goes out of business it will specifically be for their awful customer service. I know that I will never buy anything else from Ashley, not when there are plenty other companies who do not treat their customers like this.

I bought couches from Ashley's on Nov. 8th, 2025. I was told by the 'Sleep Master' Jvion Hill (Jay) that my furniture would be here 4-6 weeks tops. I didn’t even have it delivered; I wanted to pick it up because I heard some bad reviews on their own delivery services. My husband and I have been patient for weeks exactly and still no updates about our furniture. We decided to call and see what’s going on, why we have not received or heard anything about our furniture. We called customer service, which is literally the only phone number they have available to customers. We called and were notified our furniture would not be arriving until after the holidays. I asked to speak with a manager and was placed on hold for almost two hours, only to be told 'no manager is available' before they disconnected the call. My husband and I called from both phones trying to get ahold of a manager or somebody who could address this issue and give us some sort of help. We have been getting placed on hold, and being told they will call us back. We have gone a week with customer service and managers that are just going back and forth with no resolution to the issue. Finally, we decided to call the salesman Jvion Hill (Jay) on a phone number he provided us if we ran into any trouble. Well, we both called the number and were notified that the number was incorrect. We called customer service again and have been getting told the same thing over and over. My husband and I are frustrated and don’t know what else to do. The holidays are right around the corner, and we’re still without furniture. Very unprofessional and poorly managed.

11/8/2025 I paid for a set of couches on paper and in person the sales person stated the The furniture will be in back order 4-6 weeks I was fine with that. 4 weeks go by I called just to get a status update. While on the phone, customer service stated now the arrival time is 12/28/2025. I asked to speak to a supervisor on 12/1/2025 stated “they will give me call back”. I never received a call. I called again on 12/02/2025. Once again asked for a supervisor still no call back, called again 12/03/2025 asked for a manger waited on the phone for 2 hours and finally spoke to a manager who wasted my time. She stated “go into the store and talk to who ever you bought the couch from”. Now, I remember the salesman giving me a number to call if I had ran into any troubles. I attempted to call the number that was provided for me and it was the wrong number. I called customer service again and was told that person is no longer employed there and could not help me. I called again on 12/4/2025 asked for a supervisor again; was on hold for an hour. Supervisor advised me that this will all be taken care of I will give you a call back by the end of the day, well still have not received a call back. Still currently living in my house with the holidays right around the corner, No furniture. I will never shop here again. Unprofessional customer service and poorly managed.

Great experience shopping at Ashley. Salesman was available when I needed it, not hovering or pressure as some stores. Store was very nice & whole process was simple. Looking forward to getting my furniture. Don’t hesitate, shop here for quality products with courteous staff & ease of shopping.

Jay @ the Shelby Township location in Macomb MI is a very bright, knowledgeable and honest young man.

Placed my order on 9/29 with an expected delivery date of 11/6. I called on 11/3 to ensure that everything was still being delivered on time, and they stated “one piece of your sectional won’t be delivered now until 12/4”. When were they going to make me aware of this? That’s where I was really upset because I was planning on having my whole family over for the holidays and since this got delayed I wasn’t able too. I also paid for WhiteGlove delivery which is supposed to bring the pieces of furniture inside my place and have it set up, well today I FINALLY had my last piece of sectional show up, and the driver said “I can’t bring this upstairs so we are going to leave it in your garage” they delivered my other pieces just fine, why couldn’t they bring my final piece in? All in all I feel like this whole order has been a disaster with very little compensation or help from Ashley’s

Sales person did a fantastic job however $360 delivery charge is absolutely crazy. Especially when spending $4,400 before that charge. I am in sales and I know there is room to take care of the customer and to show there appreciate and to waive some of that. $100 or even $150 is acceptable for that but $360 is price gouging. You can do better than that for your customers Especially for being a returning customer. I bout my last living room set 4 in half years ago from Ashley.

He had some great suggestions and was very considerate. My wife and I were very happy with our purchase. We will definitely be back the next time we are looking for furniture.

He however helped us find a perfectly fitted sectional with chaise for our new home. We did finance through Acima as well which was simple to do prior to visiting the store and our Acemia rep. Was super nice and professional as well. I can't speak to the quality of the sofa yet as we have not had it delivered yet.

So my experience started out positive. I was ready to refer everyone here and actually had more furniture to buy myself. We worked with the most wonderful salesperson Jvion who was beyond amazing! We had our sofa and 2 chairs delivered and my whole opinion has changed. The entire side of my sofa is sewn uneven and improperly (very loose) and I need a replacement. Most stores you call customer service and they send out a replacement with photo documentation right? Nope, not with Ashley. This is what I have went through so far and still no resolution. You call customer service and get a representative outside of the United States reading a script and telling you they cannot help you. Instead you have to text a number with the word “hello.” After you do that you have to fill out a long form and I honestly thought that was the end of it. Nope!!! Then you get another text and have to fill out yet another form and additional information with pictures and serial numbers. So I did all of that. Now 2 days later I get an email saying they need the pictures I already sent resent again. What happened to the documents I already sent? I have spent so much time on this and am no farther than when I started. I think this entire process is very discriminatory in that what if someone does not have a smart phone or they are not able to text and use technology. They cannot get their items serviced from Ashley??? Many people from an older generation would be totally lost and not understand how to do this. So they cannot get service??? So wrong on so many levels. I think the point is they do this so you will give up and not pursue getting your furniture fixed. Do better Ashley!!! Heading to the store today and not leaving until I get a resolution!

My sales order number was 080J032160. On October 09, 2025 I had a very terrible experience with the Ashley Furniture store on Hall Road in Shelby Township. I purchased a living room couch for $1,900. I picked up the order and it was damaged. I was given the run-a-round for a replacement. I was given two different numbers to call for customer experience. Then I was given a number to text which resulted in nothing. Lastly, I was told to go to ashleydsg.com to file a claim for a repair which also resulted in nothing. So after 10 days of trying, I finally got through to someone at one of the numbers that was given to me and the lady was able to see a paper trail of my attempts to contact them. She apologized and sent me a replacement. I was also promised a $100 refund for my trouble. This promise was made to me by the guy that sold me the couch, his name is Alec P at the Shelby Township store. Alec stopped answering my calls and texts. I have called the store 2-3 times and asked for management but I am constantly told that they have to take a message. My entire purchasing experience started on October 09, 2025 and it is now November 17, 2025 and I have yet to receive my refund. Terrible shopping experience. I wont be shopping at Ashley Furniture in the future. I will contact corporate directly.

Great experience with our salesman, Jvion at the Shelby Ashley store. He went out of the way to make sure we got our furniture delivered to our out of state home. He was very resourceful, available and coordinated a successful delivery. Great guy to work with, very professional and knowledgeable. The store was clean with lots of selections, and fair prices.

Ashley furniture is a joke! Called a handful of times to talk to someone about furniture i ordered online with them first my address was wrong then scheduled a delivery and now im getting texts saying please schedule a delivery. Call and im getting the run around once again and can't get my furniture now until the 20th that I ordered on the 7th unbelievable. Ask to speak to a manager and of course there isn't one available. They just pass the buck instead of doing their job

I ‘m waiting on my refunds

Rocker recilner delivered broken. Called for service, I guess they had to order parts, still waiting. It's been 6 weeks. Not happy!!!!

The best in-store Furniture experience I've had. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable but not over bearing. I'll be back for more furniture in the future.

After purchasing 2 lamps and waiting for weeks we finally called Ashley customer service only to be told they would call back in two days. That never happened. We followed up and after several hangups finally discovered that the lamps were available but to ship in February or March of next year. We cancelled and were given a cancellation ticket number and told they would reach out in two days to confirm and refund in 3-5 days. Now over a week has passed and when I called back we were told that they can’t issue a cancellation as it is a partner and that has to flow through them but the only number returns to Ashley customer service. Finally after 2 more hours on the phone and a not idle threat of calling the police and filing a fraud claim I was connected with US cancelation department that issues another cancellation ticket and will attempt to refund the money to the card. We shall see if that happens but regardless this has destroyed the excellent in store experience that we had and left a terrible taste in our mouths. Maybe Ashley should look to avoid “partner” sales and more to the point maybe they should think about moving their customer service back to the US. When a customer has to literally threaten law enforcement action to get to even a supervisor there is a massive failing.

I had such a great experience at Ashley Furniture thanks to Erik, From the moment I walked in, he was very friendly, patient, and truly went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for. He answered all my questions, explained the details clearly, and made the entire process stress-free. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about the customer experience, but Erik definitely does. Highly recommend asking for him if you visit the Shelby location.

I love my sectional that I purchased but the salesman made a lot of mistakes throughout the whole process. He made some comments that I didn’t appreciate and then left out important details when the purchase was finalized.

My wife and I were interested in buying a couch and chair here a few months ago. We were speaking with the sales guy and asked about pricing. He went and got some guy who was wearing one of those coats a doctor would. White and came down to the knees? Kind of weird, but he then started saying that he could get us a bed for free! We had just purchased a bed, but free is free. He then started to toy with payment structures to reduce monthly payments to fit the bed in, and its like that doesn't make it "free" and we didn't need it anyways. These people are not trustworthy.

Today was a very good experience. Ali and Jim were very professional. I hope the delivery experience will be just as good! The last delivery experience was a disaster and we had to cancel the order. Time will tell!

Bought two electric recliners. They are the most uncomfortable chairs I’ve ever sat in. I called the day of delivery to let them know, they feel nothing like the model and I wanted to return or replace. They could care less, after calling and emailing every week for 10 weeks they finally responded and said they would come put new foam in the seats. These chairs are so hard all over, and the seat cushion/leather is angled on the sides and digs into my hips. The bottom cushion replacement will not fix this issue. Do not buy from Ashley, their Customer Service after purchase is a 0/10! They do not care. Come to find out, I’m one of thousands that feel this way!

John Wayne, yep our sales guy, was kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I stopped in knowing exactly what I hoped to purchase. JW worked with us on price.... Delivery costs is a little crazy. Other than that we are excited about our purchase.

A 2 star only because when I ordered the chair, the salesman (Ethan L. no longer at this store) was very helpful. If it weren't for that salesman I would be giving a 1 star. I went in today to see about the delivery of my chair. I told the saleslady (don't know her name, business card given to me was not an Ashely card so I don't know if the name on it is hers or not) that I didn't have my paper work because I hadn't planned on stopping. I gave her the info I had, name, phone number, original salesperson, etc. I had to tell her several times why I didn't have the paper work with me and I told her I had a 2nd phone number (she didn't seem to want it). When she asked me again for info I told her again that I didn't know I would be in the area of the store, her response was, "what did you expect", in a condescending voice. That did it for me and I left, saying I would figure it out myself. There is a closer Ashley's store to me but they were not helpful so I ended up at this one and was pleased when I ordered my chair ... this visit turned me off from Ashley Furniture stores. I can only hope that the other sales people are more understanding and helpful.

Service is very slow. The sales people on the floor use iPads which don’t work really well. I was told only managers have laptops. I was in the store over an hour just waiting to checkout and pay. I ended up leaving and returning the next day. Experienced the same thing. Not very efficient.

We end up purchasing a new mattress. The salesman was patient and very knowledgeable on all the mattresses we looked at and layed on taking our time for the exact fit.

We had a great experience with this location. We really loved all of the furniture. It’s very high-quality and we did get the protection package just in case any spills or stains happen. We got a mattress and furniture and bedroom set. We had the pleasure of working with Erik. Everything was a great experience. We appreciate Eriks help and recommend working with him

Beautiful store. Bright and well setup with many beautiful furniture pieces to explore. Very nice shopping experience. No hard pressure sales techniques, just knowledge and information shared in a friendly and low pressure manner. Listened to what I was looking for, gave me some suggestions and allowed me time to browse on my own. Once I’d made my selection explained all of my options so I could make an I formed purchase.

Steven helped us decide my wife's new bed based on a medical issue, he really took the time to get it right for what she needed.

The store had a great selection to choose from. Our salesman Erik was attentive & knowledgeable. He was available when we needed him but he also allowed us to look at our leisure.

Assembled our furniture. The drawers on our bed’s footboard do not open and close properly. Contacted customer service several times. Ashely set a time for a technician to come repair our furniture. Twice they scheduled repairs and twice they did not arrive. First was September 17. Second was today, October 1. Customer service claims to have no record of these scheduled services. I provided the evidence from text messages and email correspondence with customer service. Customer service denies knowledge of these conversations. Customer service expressed was “apologetic”, and “understanding”, but not helpful. No accountability. No follow-through.

I went to look and possibly purchase a new sectional for my home The salesman Jay was awesome, he wasn't too pushy. Explained every detail about the coach. Wonderful to deal with When I need more furniture I will defiently go to ashley furniture

I saw on social media they sale there display rugs in the back of store. Well, went to the Madison Heights location and sales rep said they don't have any for sale but try Sterling Heights location. Long story short they DO NOT. Nothing beat a failure but a try. Don't believe everything on social media LOL. After all that, I did purchase a set of accent tables for my basement at a great price. So I'm glad I visited the store.

Shopping for a mattress is more complicated than I thought. Erik was great. The pillow is the amazing part. I knew the cooling pillow was going to demand $$’s.

Im looking for an entryway table. Saw o entryway online . Its piece of furniture. No clue as to how smooth the doors open. What it actually looks like up front and personal. NO !!!! Dont have a floor model anywhere to see. Still tried to push it on me , even after I said I wanted to see it. Soooo , If I did buy i could return it NO problem. Sorry but there is a problem. I'm not going to assembled it. Find out its horrible. Then have to TAKE IT APART in order to return it. PASS BIG TIME !!! OH , I went online again and found the exact same table at Home Depot for $180 less. Ashley Furniture will be not seeing me again.

My salesperson was Jay. He was not pushy and very personable. He explained the financing options in detail. The store itself is well organized with lots of options. I'll come back after I've had the furniture for 6 months to update my review.

Poor customer service. Made a huge purchase in the store which included purchase of a rug. Was told the rug would be delivered in two weeks, it’s been two months since I placed the order and no rug to be found. Ashley furniture claims there is nothing they can do because a separate party ships the rugs. I do not understand how they have no way of contacting the company who ships rugs for them to find out more information for me. If they use the company to ship their rugs you would think they would have a way to contact them? Also a dresser was very poorly put together during the delivery process resulting in two drawers having a very difficult time opening and closing. Receiving any information or help from Ashley furniture is a joke because everyone just tells you to try a different number for a different department and no one actually resolves the issues. Very disappointing. Especially considering how much money I spent.

Bought two sweat shirts that were embroidered and could see that they were made with quality stitching.The sweat shirt is nice and thick not a thin cheap material. Have told all my friends looking for some high quality clothes that are personalized buy from,Ashley Store.

I had a terrible experience with Ashley Furniture on Hall road. I would not recommend it to anyone. I ordered a specific mattress and adjustable base that was very expensive, confirmed it with the salesperson Jade, and still ended up receiving the WRONG one. When I pointed it out that they sent me the wrong adjustable base, instead of fixing her mistake (after admitting it was her fault), she gave me the runaround and told me I would have to pay the huge difference for her mistake. To make things worse, I wasted hours on the phone talking to customer service where they then directed me to the store manger, Lamar. Lamar’s behavior was dismissive, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. If this is how management treats paying customers, it says a lot about the whole store. In the end, I paid for something that they made a mistake on, and I’m stuck with the wrong item. It’s beyond frustrating to spend hard-earned money only to be left with the wrong product. I will NEVER shop here again, the lack of accountability and customer service here is shocking. Save yourself the stress and shop somewhere else.

Delivered sectional with missing feet. The resolution process is a bunch of AI garbage. No matter who I call, the store, the salesperson, or customer service, no one will help me. My only recourse is to argue with an AI that wants to take days to "review my claim". Also, there is an information security concern with the AI. It takes in a phone number and will reveal a customer's name and home address with no additional verification. EDIT: The response from Ashley to this review was for me to call a number. The number offers me no other option to resolve my order issue or the information security issue. The person answering the phone has no power to do anything other than direct me toward the claim process. EDIT 2: With enough whining I was able to get them to send the legs without waiting for the robotic claim process. Leaving at 3/5 stars because their process sucks and has an information security issue.

Erik was very helpful and overall wonderful. Extremely helpful and in no way pushy like other furniture satisfied we have experienced this week. In fact, he was the reason we chose what we bought (it was a toss between 3 items are different stores and Erik was our deciding factor). I hope the delivery and the items (leather chair and ottoman) are as good an experience.

We liked the furniture from a prior visit but we’re not ready to purchase. Visited GW and liked a similar living room sectional however price was more than we had budgeted. Randomly went to Ashley again to see if set we liked was still there and it was and on Labor Day Sale price. Jay was wonderful in setting us up and explaining crazy high warranty cost that gets refunded in 5 years. Jay made the deal I have to say, he is a keeper. See you in 5 years as we will cash in the warranty money to help pay for a new mattress.

We had a fantastic experience at Ashley Furniture with our salesperson Mark. When we first walked in Mark greeted us and asked us what brought us into the store, we simply stated we were shopping around. Mark asked our names, told us the layout of the store and said he would be there for questions and let us browse alone. My wife and I stopped and started talking about a specific sectional we had interest in. Eventually Mark came back around asking our thoughts on the couch, told us to sit down and get comfortable and began to strike up a conversation. He asked about our family or if we had pets and we were able to find commonalities. Mark easily made it feel like it was talking to a friend. We never once felt like we were pushed to buy something or ignored due to our “just looking” demeanor. We had an incredible experience with Ashley and will definitely think of going back whenever we’re in need of any furniture item.

Erik is a phenomenal salesman, his professionalism is unmatched. Coming from another salesman perspective, I felt bad Not to go back to him. He took care of us, my kids were going crazy in the store, spent 4 grand with him no problem, and willing to go back for more. If you are shopping at this store, ERIK is the one who you deal with.

Thoroughly disappointed with my entire Ashley experience. Received the wrong couch, was told I was getting a replacement only for the couch to be picked up and refunded after I confirmed that a replacement would be sent after the pickup. Went into the store after not being able to get a straight answer from customer service. They really did not help, charged me $100 more for the couch and another delivery fee. I am now out $300 overall. On top of the fact that your chaise diagrams online are incorrect. I thought we would at least be offered something for all of the issues. Honestly I feel taken advantage of, treated poorly by almost everyone I encountered and have some to the realization that you clearly do not care about your customers. I will never buy anything from your company again and plan to let others know how disorganized and unhelpful Ashley furniture is.

I cannot recommend Ben at Ashley Furniture enough! Not only was he incredibly patient and kind, but he also remembered us from the prior week, which made us feel so valued. He genuinely took the time to explain all of the additional purchase options, ensuring we got the best deal without feeling pressured at all. Ben treated us like family and even laughed at my horrible jokes 😊 We left the store feeling so well taken care of, and we’re already excited to work with him again when it’s time to furnish our next room!

Moneca helped me with my bedroom furniture at the Shelby location. She was honestly the most patient, kind, and genuine sales associate I have ever dealt with. I had my two young daughters with me; they were running all over the place, Moneca did not make me uncomfortable or feel like we were a bother. She was very informative and flexible with helping me purchase from home after not being able to finish my transaction in store. If there is anyone I can recommend it will be here!

Bought a bed that is unsafe and can't use. Was told that we were getting support legs. The warehouse sends incorrect legs that didn't fit . Too tall. Alec sold the bed with excuses. On delivery date of 6/7/2025 since we couldn't use the bed because it is unsafe I told them to take the bed back. One guy said we only deliver,we have no room on the truck. You obviously dropped off a bed that was on the truck why is it that the danzier bed cannot fit on the same truck you delivered it on? I do have a ring video cam in the bedroom. Called customer service on 6/9/25. We had to make a claim which has been a living hell. Always passing the buck. Thank God I didn't buy the $1800.00 table. Then we received workers who couldn't speak fluent English and we took photos, after photos, videos because customer service told us the driver who took pictures it came out blurry. So now we have a bed that cannot be used and was informed that it's unsafe. We have been calling several different numbers including the SUPPOSEDLY THE OWNER SENT WITH SAME NUMBER I HAVE BEEN CALLING SINCE BED WAS DELIVERED. SPOKE with a customer service representatives and every time we call we are told that the photos that the 3rd party assembly team came out blurry. We sent photos four times and a video. I have written emails and promises from the Ashley team that they would get back with us within 48 hours, never happens, I wrote to the better business bureau and to Attorney consumer affairs. Everyone can see the directions the Ashley furniture team third party screwed in the two pieces of wood on top of the slats instead of reading the directions. The third time they came out they were supposed to fix the bed and couldn't figure it out. The fourth set of guys laughed and said there is nothing we can do because the warehouse never gave us the correct size support legs. So now a queen size bed sits in a bedroom that is unsafe and unable to use. The phone number that the owner said text or call this number. We called and received the same answer... Please send us photos. Explain the directions vs what is on the bed slats???? I cannot comprehend why this is so difficult. The delivery men who is 3rd party tried to put the bed together and did this incorrectly. As it clearly shows the directions two wood slats belong on the bottom. The [owner] must be a hoax because we called the number over the weekend and we also called and sent a email to the company and received a AI generated email with a ticket number. We sent photos with the directions with another response showing a new ticket number. This has been 62 days with no response from a person who actually cares. I wonder what would happen if I send all the paperwork to channel 2 fox news and channel 4 news what they could do for me. Ashley Furniture no longer has the Danzier Bed on display at the Shelby township location. After 56 days, and as of July 31, 2025, Ashley Furniture's corporate office has once again failed to provide the correct size support legs for my Danizer bed. This continued incompetence is baffling, especially given the clear safety implications. The removal of the Danizer bed from display at the Ashley Furniture store on Hall Rd in Shelby Twp, MI, strongly suggests that this product is unsafe. My only resolution at this point is for Ashley to pick up this bed and issue a full refund, or to provide a completely different, usable bed that can actually be properly assembled. The complete lack of communication and customer care throughout this process is truly astonishing."

Review of In-Store Experience – Ashley HomeStore, Shelby Twp (Hall Road Location) Date of Visit: July 10, 2025 Time: Approximately 6:30 PM As individuals currently serving in supervisory and managerial roles, my husband and I approach customer service interactions with a balanced understanding of operational challenges and expectations. Unfortunately, our recent visit to the Shelby Township Ashley HomeStore fell short in terms of professionalism and overall customer experience. Prior to visiting the store, we contacted the location to inquire about the availability of a specific item. The representative who assisted us over the phone was courteous, helpful, and provided timely responses to our questions—this initial interaction was appreciated. However, upon arrival, our in-store experience was disappointing. We spoke with a representative regarding the chairs we had called about, and he brought over the manager on duty to confirm the pricing for the showroom item. I showed the manager the current online pricing directly from Ashley’s official website. Rather than acknowledging this price, he initially quoted a higher in-store amount. When I referenced the company’s price match policy—of which I am fully aware, especially as I had purchased the exact same chairs in March at the same online price—the manager responded with visible frustration. He expressed that we should have informed him of the online price before he searched for it, even though I had it readily available on my phone. For reasons unclear to us, he claimed he was unable to locate the same listing online himself. Although he eventually honored the price match, his demeanor remained dismissive and unprofessional throughout the exchange. Additionally, there was no assistance offered to help us transport the chairs to the front of the store. We had to carry them ourselves, maneuvering around several floor displays, which further detracted from the overall experience. My husband has an arm disability but still managed to carry the chair up to the front (we are shocked no one offered to assist us with the chairs while maneuvering them around displays-lack of care from the sales team & it showed). In summary, while we understand the pressures of retail management, the lack of professionalism and customer support exhibited during our visit was disappointing—especially considering the brand's usual standard and our previous positive experiences with Ashley. We hope this feedback is taken constructively and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure future interactions are aligned with the service standards Ashley HomeStore strives to maintain. I went to Ashely’s and saw the sales woman Lisa. She was insanely rude I told her that I was shopping for a couch. She wouldn’t stop pushing for me to get financing. I told her that I was simply on a budget and wanted to spend under $2,000 when she kept insisting that you could get financing. Then she took my around the store to $3,000+ couches. I told her again what I was trying to spend she then said “what are you even here for” I stated a “A Couch” when she then told me “It sure doesn’t seem like it”. Which I then left and I would never recommend someone to go to this store and if you do go just make sure you see any other salesperson other than Lisa.

I purchased an ottoman in Feb/March of this year along with the 3 year extended warranty, after only 2 or 3 months one of the seams ripped, clearly a problem having a seam 3 inches long with stuffing showing. I made a claim with extended warranty they said I had to use manufacturer warranty since still under their policy, the manufacturer warranty sent me an email that someone had to come to the home to inspect the furniture and they never showed up, i waited all day! I called and they said my claim was denied, no apologies for the no show, and will not say why, if a rip right in a seam is not covered I don’t know what is, I am very disappointed in Ashley furniture and will never go back and will be sure to tell everyone I know this company does not stand behind their products and provides a crappy product and customer service. Buyer beware if u shop here, not recommended.

Just moved to the area, Sam helped me out and got my new spot furnished with amazing pieces. I didn’t have to wait long for service, and the white glove delivery was better than expected.

We had Jajay or jj not clear on the spelling assist us last night. He helped my parents for a long time earlier in the day then I came back with them at night and he was so helpful and respectful and not hounding us, he respected my asks and he was very informative, honest, and efficient. Customer service isn’t what it used to be but he made me think it isn’t bad everywhere as he proved his white glove and white coat experience with us. He is a sleep specialist also so that helped a lot finding best mattresses for my parents. He did a great job and their furniture was much better quality than the competitors we had also seen. We purchased quite a bit of items there last night and it was a process but not too bad, costs were reasonable. He was so polite and kept us informed along the way. Thanks for taking such good care of my parents and I we will be recommending jj or jayjay to everyone. This location on hall rd was clean organized and rest of staff was friendly as well. Lamar was very nice as well. Very good experience.

"White coat lab techs were a joke".. was in your store yesterday to price out a mattress.. the sales rep who greated me couldn't find me a mattress in my price range.. told me he was new and called over "Ben" who was one of their "Sleep experts".. never really asked me what my budget was from the beginning. Kept showing me $3000 mattresses plus the expensive power bases. Kept stating that a few months in these and you'll never change the way you sleep etc. Again never asked me my budget and kept saying finance a new mattress instead of paying for one up front. When did i ever say I wanted to finance something? After being very polite and letting him show me several pricy mattresses without working with me I had to end the sale as nicely as I could. I told him I still had to check other places and wasn't committed yet. He responded with one of these most desperate lines I've ever heard . " You know these mattresses are priced out and contracted similar to iPhones for example." "If another retailer is selling this product for less then us it'd technically be illegal and they could lose their contracts with that company if they are caught, so you may as well finance here". "That being said I can knock down that mattress by $300 so it will only $4200 plus the base which we can work with" I immediately said no thank you again not committed and left after that. Maybe work with someone who only wants to spend x amount on a mattress.. I've seen mattresses range $800-1200 on your site and he didn't show me a single one of them .

Actually we did very well until John Wayne the used car mattress guy stepped into the picture. He was rude , didn't listen to my needs and wants. I told him what I needed and he tried selling my husband something else. This was my bed, my needs. I will never deal with him again as this is the 2nd occurrence in the past 6 months. He needs to listen to the customer as we are the ones paying .

I won a $500 Ashley’s Furniture gift card at a Detroit Tigers game and was excited to finally use it—until I actually visited the Macomb store. First, they tried to overcharge me when using the gift card, which I had to fight to get corrected. (Jeune & Ben were a pleasure to work with though) Then I selected a tan bed off the floor model, and when it was delivered, it was gray. To make matters worse, the delivery team told me the bed was defective—the storage drawers wouldn’t fit properly and they would need to come back out to fix it. When I called customer service, I was told I received the correct bed and was even told I might be colorblind, as “the color depends on the lighting.” I showed them pictures clearly showing the difference between the tan bed I ordered and the gray one I received. Pictures attached for reference. After that, I was put on hold for 45 minutes, only for the call to be disconnected and never returned. I tried again the next day and was kept on hold for 30 more minutes, only to be told again that I ordered a gray bed—which I absolutely did not. Now I’m still trying to get a refund, and no one is giving me clear answers or next steps. The bed is still the wrong color & the bed is STILL BROKEN. This entire process has been frustrating, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone.

Delivery went smoothly until they delivered the wrong loveseat, no fault to theirs as the box was mislabeled. However the rest of the process was inconvenient, was told they would delivery the right couch same day. The installers were very professional and polite. I am somewhat disappointed in the quality of the furniture. Plastic feet? Fabric that does go to the bottom of inside . Crooked and misaligned netting on the bottom. Not at all what I expected. At a glance it is lovely, beautiful to look at. I question its durability. I wish I had better things to say, but I guess as the saying goes “ You get what you pay for.” I definitely wouldn’t recommend buying anything from your company to anyone close to me. I won’t be a repeat customer either.

My order was cancelled, yet no one contacted me I had to contact them. On person told me it was damaged and the other person told me it was never put on the truck at the warehouse. I requested them to just cancel my order completely and refund my money. The one person told me to have customer service on the chat take care of it, the person on the customer service chat told me they couldn't do it. So now they are refusing my order. The girl I initially worked with was great at the store everything went quickly and smoothly. But now I am changing my rating to 1 because of the inconvenience and customer service. And the fact that no one can seem to tell me the truth or refund my order.

I don't get my furniture for 5 more days (by choice) but I LOVED Lanna. The store in general felt comfortable. They don't immediately harass you. My husband and I were able to walk around and talk privately between to 2 of us without being followed or interrupted. When we were near the end a nice lady introduced herself but did not aggressively try to sell us anything. With in seconds we had questions. Her personality, knowledge and even opinions helped us so much. I felt as if we were friends. I had been looking for 4 months at GW because I thought Ashley was going to be over priced. I was wrong and I am thrilled with everything. We will be back for kids furniture and an office desk soon.

Well…. I was told in store that my 300 dollar rug was going to be delivered way sooner than expected. Now supposed to be here next month. Supposed to take 2 days.

Worst experience my wife and I have ever had. First thing was we picked out furniture and thought we paid for it on our credit card. Turns out they charge it to another couples card. Then our Oder was cancelled and wasn’t notified of that. Our delivery date was March 4th we donated all of our furniture on March 3rd. I got late in the day so I called to confirm delivery and that’s when we found out. After numerous calls and different BS reasons we reorder the same furniture. Paid for it saw the charge on my credit card. Still nothing delivery was cancelled again because this time they told us it was in layaway after paying in full. Tried to cancel order completely and got the run around. Called and filled a fraud case and got my money refunded. Went to McMillin’s furniture in Yale and is was worth the drive. Ordered better quality furniture and it will be delivered in a few weeks. Meanwhile we are sitting in our patio furniture making do but this is all because of poor customer service from Ashly Furniture. My advice is don’t do business with them at all. Drive to Yale and save yourself some grief. Unfortunately I can’t give them negative stars as a review or I would.

Go here if you're a people pleaser that has a hard time getting away from pushy salesmen like myself. Went here for my kitchen table after I'd already spent a fortune on a couch (that I now hate) and a rug from Gardner White (I was followed around and felt myself panicked to buy the first couch I sat on). They allow you to actually browse and feel comfortable testing items. When I was ready to buy, I went to look for help instead of being chased. They don't stare you down and ask how it feels like they're getting off watching you 🤣. I got a really great table that was on clearance and perfect for the space I needed it for. They even helped me break it down to fit into my car and loaded it up for me. I wish I could remember my salesman's name, I'm making this post so late. He was a middle-aged black gentleman. He told me he had a daughter my age after I shared the life changes I was making and buying furniture for. I felt he treated me the same way he would have his own daughter with the kind advice he gave me. You guys rock. I will definitely be back for future needs!

Just awful, got chairs home, they are not as comfortable as in store, to put the footrest down and keep it locked, you really have to almost abuse this to lock into place, bought a Protection plan and just want to exchange for something that to us is more user friendly, but was told, there is a No Exchange or Refund policy, Yet nothing on my paperwork says anything about this supposed policy. I simply want to exchange these for two other recliner/rockers but am told No, Needless to say, I will not be buying anything from this store again and IF anyone asks about ASHLEY Furniture, it is a SOLID NO---STAY AWAY AND BUY from a more consumer oriented Happy Customer store, and please dont ask me to TEXT or Call you to help with the situation, I DID, and you choose not to assist.

We had gotten several quotes from different stores and we came over to the store after being at Gardner White and they beat their competitors price . Jay was very professional knew what he was doing and very courteous. We walked out very happy customers.

The sales person added a $699 protection plan to my bill without informing me. He then misrepresented the benefits of the plan. It was clearly a lie. I insisted on hearing from a manager who, in the end, did not back his claims.

My wife and I bought some couches and chairs from the Hall rd. store. Paul, the store manager, was our salesman and seemed like a nice guy. We asked him if we purchased the couches and they wouldn’t fit down the stairs, could we get a full refund? He sad yes. Sure enough they didn’t fit but, true to his word, Paul said we could pick something else or get a full refund. We found something else for $700 less and bought it. After a couple weeks we noticed we hadn’t been credited for the difference on the card. I made four calls to Paul about that and the delivery date. He returned one about the delivery date but nothing about the credit so I went to the store in person. Paul wasn’t there so I talked to Brian (manager). He said he would see Paul that night and have him call me. No call. I went back to the store and Brian said that “he couldn’t make anybody call” but he would look into it for me and call that night. He did call but to say he’s still looking into it and would “for sure” call me back the next day. He didn’t. Three or four days later the credit mysteriously appeared on my card with no further calls from Paul or Brian. We got our furniture, on the day they said, and we are happy with it. What could have and should have been a 5 star review was lowered just because some people think returning phone calls is not important. This is just simply known as customer service.

Jeune Williams was a terrific person to work with when buying a bed set. She helped me a lot with meeting at a sale price that was in my budget. Even though this process was frustrating because I hate shopping and spending so money she kept her patience and adapted to my needs quickly. I recommend her. She is bright and patient! I give Ashley’s a 3 star for there computer system that is what frustrated me the most! So slow and so many hiccups , something that should take a few minutes takes almost a hour it feels like. I did not like the fact that they take pictures of your ID and credit card! That is unacceptable! Ashely’s needs to Do better on exact dates of delivery not hey it will be soon it’s stocked , but be precise in the purchase and also reflect that on the receipt! They tell you this but the receipt interprets another story. That is not fair as a customer. With building a new home, we had to keep rescheduling the delivery and it was so easy to do so. The delivery went smoothly with live updates on where we were in the delivery time frame. The couches themselves are more firm which is to expected as a brand new product that will soften over time. They are very heavy with the electronics in them but quality is great. We will see over time how the battery power holds up. Overall very pleased with our experience purchasing through this Ashley furniture location. I do not recommend buying directly online due to return policy! Go to the store and meet with the friendly staff!

Great price but was annoyed at the length of time it took to make purchase. I’ve bought cars quicker. Seriously, we walked in store having already picked out our couch on previous visit. It took 1-1/2 hours to complete the sale and set up delivery

I would caution anyone buying furniture going to this store. We paid in full and have never experienced such an unprofessional experience. After we ordered a couch we expected a minor wait for delivery, not 6 weeks, the delivery company is trashy, rude, and completely incompetent. Our couch was delivered incomplete, with two (2) different sets of legs. After going off on the store manager and sales lady they finally agreed to drop the delivery fee, DO NOT Choose delivery or pay upfront. The management is disconnected and disengaged. Never again at this store.

I need to be up front, our sales commissioner person was great. This is more of an overall experience review. Jay Hill was an awesome rep. When we walked in we first noticed the kitchen table that we were somewhat interested, in but we were shopping for a couch lol. After perusing the entire store by ourselves we were about ready to leave when I stopped back at the first table that we had saw near the entrance, and begin discussing whether we should actually purchase it or not. Jay walked over and helped clear up some questions about pricing that we had handle the transactions and all that so no problems with the purchasing or with the customer service. Just the fact that they didn't have customer service on the floor for the majority of our walkthrough. For a furniture store it felt a little off. Keep in mind it was Black Friday so. they were probably busier than normal so your mileage may vary

Excellent Service

Went in with the desire to purchase a recliner for a Christmas gift. Was not bombarded by workers trying to sell as soon as I walked in, which I have experienced in other furniture stores so I was pleased by that. Instead I was able to browse a little until I was greeted by Joseph, who kindly led us to recliners, mentioned the Black Friday deals they had going on, and said he would be around if we had questions and he would come check in on us in a few. I was impressed by the selection as well as the pricing. We did end up purchasing a recliner which we will pick up closer to Christmas from the Warren warehouse. Overall great experience and I will be back when I am in need of more furniture!

I was pleased with the help we received, but then I discovered that the gentleman had miss lead me and said that there would be no charge for delivery...and there was....He had just moved the numbers around so it looked like there was no charge.

The Ashley staff were all friendly and courteous, from the associate who first introduced us to the Gold class of furniture, to the sales team who helped us find the best accent tables, and saved us a large percentage over and above the Black Friday sale. Happy Holydays!

Terrible logistics experience. They had to come to my house 5 or more times to get our delivery completed. Their logistics teams fraudulently signed my signature on their release paperwork, delivered a bad that couldn't be slept in because it was missing the head board, and provided no solution until I escalated multiple times to management. When I called the store, the sales person who had sold me the furniture had left for another job. In talking to the manager, I was redirected to call their operations center. Absolutely no ownership of my problem from the sales team, and the operations team didn't have the proper escalation channels to address my issue without multiple calls. Do no recommend this company.

If you see my previous review we have had continuous problems with Ashley. Our home is finally fixed after damages and settlement. Although, I haven’t had working furniture since August the day it was delivered. Apparently my city is out of the delivery range so they only come this way on Thursdays. In September I booked a technician to come out on 10/24, I confirmed the technician to come on 10/22. On 10/23 they cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances”. Now they say they will reach out to reschedule in 24-48 hours but, who knows when they have availability to come out to my home if the first time took a month. This whole process has been so stressful and I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone. Once the store associate hands you off to corporate they don’t care one bit and don’t help. Do not buy from here unless you want months of a headache. UPDATE: They can’t come out until December 26th. I told them that was unacceptable and they finally sent an email asking if anyone can be there sooner. There’s no guarantee they won’t cancel in December and I’ll be going on 5 months of furniture not working. Ridiculous!!!!

They have the worst customer service. Spent over $5,000 on furniture. Canceled an item two weeks before delivery and the sales rep who canceled the item, didn’t cancel a mattress that went with the item. Was delivered to my home with a babysitter who didn’t know she wasn’t supposed to accept the 2nd mattress. Now they refuse to take it back. Then they delivered a bunk bed, assembled it only to realize a piece was missing, took it all back and now are coming out again. You don’t quality check before you attempt a delivery? Visited the store and was spoken to in a condescending tone by Paul and told since the mattress is in my home, they won’t take it back. My daughter has been without a bed for two weeks and now I’m stuck with two mattresses when I need one. Will never shop here again.

Today was the 1st time I've been to Ashley Furniture. I actually haven't bought furniture in 19 years and my experience today was awesome. Alex is a great salesman, very knowledgeable very, patient, he showed me everything I wanted to look at, what colors go with what all the way to measurements and rugs. I couldn't have had a better experience.

I came to Ashley store because gardner-white sold me horrible furniture.. I had to replace right after buying it. Ashley furniture promised me they would deliver my furniture and put it together.. i had to put it together and i had to help the delivery people deliver it.. but i paid for delivery. They have since tried to make that right. Other than that, quality furniture at an expensive price. Im overall happy, especially after the nightmare in gardner white 😆

Our sales person lied about the delivery date. My 1st delivery will now be arriving 4 weeks after it was promised. My 2nd delivery will arrive 5 weeks after it was promised and nothing more than “end of November” for the last piece which will mean a minimum of 8 weeks after promised delivery. I like the products but not a happy customer. Oh and the sales rep who provided his cell in case we needed anything won’t return phone calls. I will not be a returning customer.

My wife and I walked in just to dream about the furniture we were not seriously shopping for. Jay who works in the bed department approached us in the couch department and informed us about the sections of the store and let us goof around by ourselves. He kept lightly checking in on us to see if we had questions. My wife’s birthday was just around the corner and seeing their 60 month zero percent financing was kind of tempting. We came back two days later and bought a couch, ottoman, and over size chair. I made sure Jay got the sale because despite being a bed guy actually had a lot of knowledge on everything in the store was not pushy and is a very relatable guy! If you go to the Sterling Heights location on Hall Rd and want to be sure to have a good experience weather or not you buy Jay is your guy. He’s not pushy, you can text him on his work phone during business hours and he seems to want to just help and if he makes a sale then he makes a sale, which in my book is the right attitude.

Sales person is highly informative, Patient and did not follow us around, Just looking for the sale. He got us information when we asked allow us to put our ideas together, and then took the time to go order everything with us
