Our sales person was Wendy and was absolutely awesome I had told her what i wanted showed her a picture and she took me right to it.I bought the sofa and love seat also got a fireplace too...I would recommend this store and Wendy

0 stars sales prior are like sharks they'll tell you there's a warranty and you'll get a better deal when you buy more and practically rob you blind. Sold us complete junk we furnished our house from here as first time home owners. The $1000 mattress was " under warranty " it was sinking in the middle because the 'only one they had was a floor model.' We called they sent it a tech who measured it 1st one said it was close but didn't sink in enough and second tech said it was subbing in enough to warranty. We lost $1000 just in this mattress that I've seen plenty better than on the side of the road! I'm done eating my time + money here. No customer service / support to back up all that talk the salesman did. It's really a shame!

Unfortunately, the quality of the furniture isn't good, and the prices are way too high forwhat they are selling.

Wendy and Ray were extremely helpful, they were short staffed but we didn’t even notice. We were greeted as soon as we came in and offered assistance, the manager also came up to offer assistance. Definitely check them out!

Walked in with no expectations. Heard decent prices for most things. Walked out with amazing expectations and a 53$ (with taxes) bookshelf that was originally 550$. Go in, dont be afraid to chit chat with staff at the westland location. They are there to help and cause laughter. They might send you on your way with a 50$ (without taxes) bookcase that was previously 550$ :) Thank you so much for a great experience Mrs. WENDY! Worst customer service ever! Went to Ashley in Westland December 3rd. Purchased a bedroom set for my daughter. We paid extra for the white glove delivery. Bed shows up with only half of it's parts, other half of bed is missing. The delivery people tracked mud and snow through my house and when they realized the whole bed wasn't here, they left all their tools, nuts and bolts to the bed on the floor. Now we only have half a bed. Call customer service and they tell me I have to pay extra for the rest of the bed!!!! What??? The representative forgot to order the rest of the bed. I paid 2000 for half a bed???? I have gone back and forth with customer service for the last 3 weeks and the bed is still not completed. I've been to the store twice as well. Now there solution is to order the only piece now we need to fix the bed, but the part is on back order and won't be here till January 9th. My daughter has been sleeping on the floor this whole time. No one from the actual store apologized and lied to us about the delivery. Don't ever waste your time going here Update! January 18th bed still not together! Waiting on more parts. 7 to 10 days! Please don't ever shop here

Ordered a sofa and still didn’t deliver. I paid extra $200+ for white glove delivery. It has been rescheduled 3 times. They need to consider that some of us have full time jobs, and just can’t stay home to wait for a delivery that doesn’t arrive. This is incredibly inconsiderate and unorganized. Also, if you call customer service, it’s either AI or a call center from another country who can’t help you.

Store experience was wonderful! Delivery was great for the sofa. Not so great for the bed. They told me they would be there at 8:45 am. They didn't show up until 2pm. If they would have called me and said, "hey there was an issue with how they loaded the truck, we have to come later in the day" it would have been no big deal. Instead they left me hanging, no call, no text, no nothing!

Worst delivery and customer service of any business I’ve ever dealt with. Would give 0 stars if possible. Buyer beware, Ashley has a strict “no return” policy even if they deliver you broken junk. It’s been 2 months and I’m still waiting for them to fix my items and make things right. Never buy from Ashley, worst company around.

My husband and I walked into Ashley’s to test out some beds and ended up having a wonderful experience with Justin. He didn’t push us to buy any certain product which is what you’d expect walking into a furniture store. Instead he lead us in the right direction, was patient others us and even saved us some money. Justin was also very kind to our 5 year old daughter which is a huge. We will be going back to Ashley’s and requesting Justin the next time we need to buy furniture.

So far, I had to call your store 2 days after I purchased my bar stools and had to schedule them to be delivered and already did that when I was there purchasing them. I had two gentlemen helping me. The second gentleman didn't actually scheduled when he said he did.

I would avoid this place at all cost. All sales are final, no matter what. Bought a sectional that ended up being too big for our room and they refused to return or even exchange even the middle piece.

I got a great deal (working with Wendy) on a clearance sectional. I signed all of the paperwork and then went home and realized what I had assumed the sales terms were and what they actually ended up being were very different. I went back in mad and ready for a fight. Wendy calmly talked me through details and we realized it was a combination of miscommunication and a mistake made on MY PART. At no time did she lose her cool with me and she was very gracious about the whole situation. I would recommend that you go to her if looking to buy any new furniture. Excellent customer service and seems like a pretty nice person as well.

I gave a lower rating because I purchased a Dining table with 8 chairs & a coffee table with two end tables. I opted to pick up to save on delivery charge, I was NOT informed that I would be picking it up from the warehouse in Warren which is almost an hour drive from my house.

Ray Smith was helpful and informative. I wish you would have had a larger selection of regular recliners to chose from. All in all a good experience.

I had come into Ashley to shop for a recliner chair which I had an idea what I wanted. I walked the store and came back to the chair I had decided best fit my needs, which was a leather textile. Beautiful chair and appears to be well constructed. The sales person was knowledgeable and made the trans action very comfortable. She was familiar with the line and conversation segwayed into looking for a new bed mattress. Relatively recently I purchased an adjustable bed, and I made a poor mattress decision. Wendy understood and assisted explaining a little about the mattress construction and paid attention to my sleep position and posture on the bed. I was not able commit to the purchase at this last visit. When I am more comfortable to make purchase decision I will definitely ask for her assistance. I look forward not delivery of my new recliner.... Thank you!

Just purchased my first couch! Customer service was amazing. I went to Bobs and they didn't care I was there browsing. At Ashley's, they asked what I was looking for, color, seating. Couple hundred dollars more than I wanted, but the customer service was well worth it! So excited, it's coming next week!

We are going on month 6 and delivery installation #5 of our ONE order. They have come to install our bed set 5 times. And it’s still not installed. On the 3rd time of installation, they were missing legs to the bed frame. The delivery people and myself spoke with team members from Ashley saying we needed those pieces. On the 4th time, apparently, this was not communicated to the new delivery drivers since they showed up with no new pieces and had no idea they were here to install those legs. After this attempt, Ashley sent the legs to my house and we scheduled a 5th delivery. They come for the 5th delivery and oh yes, Ashley sent the wrong legs for the bed. So now we are onto the 6th delivery. And every time we have to reschedule a delivery, we have to take the entire day off because they don’t tell you what time they’re coming and you have to be home. The delivery people have been great. It’s Ashley that I don’t know if I would trust moving forward for any new furniture. They could not care less about customer satisfaction.

Justin Jones was very polite, attentive and on spot with us. We usually get all of our furniture from Gardner White, but we thought we would check out Ashley’s. My only complaint is not against Justin, but against the delivery wait. We have never waited over a day to get our purchase and we were told we will not receive our couch for another month? Justin we look forward to speaking with soon for updates on delivery.

I had a great experience for my first time shopping at an Ashley’s Home Store. Had originally planned on buying my daughters a bedroom set from Gardner-White. I saw online that Ashley’s had the exact same set. But, from their manufacturers. I was told that the quality would be a little better. Unfortunately, they didn’t have on their showroom floor. However, Justin James the sales associate who helped me with this purchase. Explain some of the differences in how their products are manufactured. And even went above and beyond to price match the bedroom set. So far, I’m happy with my experience. Just waiting on delivery.

I prefer to see items like furnishings in person before purchasing. You can’t sit on them or touch the fabric on a computer or cell phone screen. The store had what I was looking for and the associate understood my needs.

We had a great shopping experience with Wendy our sales woman at the Ashley Home Furniture store located in Westland Michigan. She was kind, respectful, funny, helpful and provided excellent customer service. The rest of the team was just as nice. Thank you for making our experience rewarding and non stressful. Salespeople were friendly and helpful, they were not following us around or pressuring us at all. We felt free to all around. We decided to order the table we saw online as the color was exactly what we were hoping for, not as dark as the picture. We also purchased a large tv stand we felt would complement other furniture in the living room. Pieces appear to be good quality for the price.

The first picture shows my first defective order (see 3rd cushion), the second shows a tear in my “replacement” furniture upon delivery. After dealing with several issues I requested a refund and for them to pick up the furniture. They say there is a no refund policy for items bought in store, which was never stated by the salesman. Rather “it’s stated on page 4” of the document you signed. There is a chemical smell coming from the furniture that has lasted for months that is causing headaches to my family.

Furniture was OK but not great compared to the competition. It was going to be $2000!!! MORE after they offered us a discount. They wanted us to make a decision right there, right then, right now! There's a reason for high pressure sales and it's never a good reason.

They brought the wrong couch and damaged my walls very poor service 1) they brought the wrong couch2) the couch they did bring was big and heavy so they got to my door and said it was a door delivery and they technically don't have to bring it in which I was not informed of or would've paid extra if I did 3) in the process of me giving a tip to the drivers for bringing it in they failed to set it up and when I did try it was a piece of wood nailed down to one post in which I struggled to get off until I was sweating and still couldn't get it off. 5) when they was getting ready to leave I told them the couch I ordered was supposed to be blue and he said "Don't say that" then after getting all the plastic off and attempted to set up couch failed the company called and said I had the wrong couch 6)this is the worse but they put a whole in my outside door wall and to major dents in the plaster of the wall which my apartment complex is charging me for I didn't want to complain but the hole in walls was too much for me

my issue was not resolved, i'm still waiting on a call back, i paid 2747.00 dollars and my furniture would not fit. I received no refund and they said they couldn't find a credit, but he could see that the furniture was returned.

I ordered. A new living room suite with sofa love, seat and rocker recliner. End tables and coffee table, all items were delivered damaged. It has been a nightmare trying to get in touch. With Ashley furniture and yet stuff returned and new stuff sent out. Going on 2 months now and still have not received new items for damaged ones. Don't don't buy anything from ashley furniture

After spending hours at multiple furniture stores, Ashley’s was the best experience. We ended up furnishing our three bedrooms and living room from Ashley’s. They are so much more affordable than other local stores.Their black Friday deals are incredible. Mr. James was a great sales guys and very helpful. Charles the Store Manager was an expert of the business and gave us deals we could not refuse.We really appreciated that they didn’t follow us around the entire time. He let us look on our own and was available and clear with answering questions which made the experience so much better. What a gift!! Overall, very happy with my experienc. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

My Fiance and I were helped by Brian G. I had to edit my review because of the miscommunication and “obliviousness” of the sales person and his assistant. I thought we were getting a good deal but it turns out, the price will change on you. I had to call the credit loan company for all the answers because the sales person just kept saying, “oh, they will reach out to you.” We ended up paying double what he said, which is a massive difference and it really has been hard and frustrating. They were not clear no matter how many questions I asked and it just felt like a big scam. I am really frustrated at the lack of care and communication. If you have a problem like I did, you will not be able to get ahold of the store. When you call you can only make a new purchase or check the status of a delivery. I have a feeling that there’s a reason they do this. They did not even give me a total of a mattress payment, they just said the company will let me know. They kept dancing around the questions I asked and would not give me a direct answer and now I know why. I should have listened to the reviews of the other people here. One of the first things Brian G. said to us was, “you can walk out of here with this couch for 2000 and I’ll even discount it for you.” Trust me when I say, the discount will be made up in many other fees they do not tell you about. I was charged for delivery when I was told I’d be getting free delivery upon many other hidden fees. It’s a shame how this place operates and although I love my couch and mattress, I will never go to an Ashley Furniture ever again and will make sure to warn people about the crooked ways of this place. Brian also did not let us know that we have a time limit to make the full purchase of the couch or the interest will make it DOUBLE what we agreed to. I understand this from the credit loan company, sure. But the fact that he didn’t tell us we’d only have 2 months to pay it off or we’d have to pay double? I’d say that’s pretty ridiculous and pitiful. My family and I will never do Ashley Furniture again and it’s absolutely ridiculous that you can’t even call the store. Really disappointed in this experience. Being lied to is just something I can’t get behind or support.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a sofa and love seat from here. The sofa came damaged, when you sit on it - it makes a creaking noise. We made a claim and 2 technician appointments later they are now finally telling us the actual issue with the sofa. The whole wooden piece inside came split in two.. I have had this couch now for 2 months and still trying to get it fixed because they won’t just send us a new couch, they keep trying to send people out to fix it.. ridiculous. Don’t buy from here.

Purchased a lift chair today. Looked at it yesterday and went back to purchase today. Same sales rep, Christian, very nice young man. All sales reps there were polite and attentive. Selection was better than expected and found one that fit. It was quick and easy. The store is very nice. Well stocked, clean and easy to navigate.

I bought reclyner sofa cost 2,600$, and i did warranty for 5 years, and i noticed my reclyner it peeled so i called customer service to asked her about that, and she said no we don’t cover that just we cover if it is burned or colored but peeled no, and if I told her my kids do that she well said no sorry we don’t cover this problem. what kind of store or policy. why they are lying for costumer? that is warranty cover everything. the material was bad.just bad store and bad customer service.

We explained we were looking for ideas for a new couch and were just looking. Sales lady followed us through the store for our entire visit, butted her way into the conversation anytime we would look at something. Left as fast as possible. I understand the sales people work on commission, but that was utterly painful.

Couldn't really look at anything because the salesperson was so clingy and wouldn't stop talking. I didn't come in to talk about the weather or some cruise ship, I came to look at furniture. If I can't do what I came to do I am just going to leave, which I did.

Buyer beware! I purchased a coffee table set. After delivery and seeing them in my house, I realized they were far too big for the space. I called the Westland store to ask if I could bring them back and pick something else. I was told I could, but would have to speak to the service department. I was also told, when the new tables I pick out are delivered, the other tables would be picked up. When I called the service department, I was told all sales are final. They would not consider refund or exchange. These were not clearance items. The Ashley website has terms of return. It states only clearance items as being final sale. There is no sign in the store stating all sales are final. It was not told to me while purchasing my furniture all sales are final. I’m now stuck with a coffee table set I do not want. I’m still waiting for a return call from a supervisor, despite being told the he would just tell me the same thing. This is my first and last time shopping at Ashley!

Ray was a wonderful associate and very helpful in my search for the perfect living room furniture and accessories, I would recommend him to my friends and family. Thank you again, looking forward to seeing my living room complete!

As a first time customer I had and still am having a terrible experience. The sales member deceived me and led me to believe the item could be picked up same day. However, the warehouse was already closed. Neither the employee nor customer service provided me with the adress or hours of the location where the product was located. Lastly, most of the item had to be assembled but even the pre assembly is incorrect and need to be repaired. One faster broke and destroyed two boards out of 4. Contacted customer service and they advised me it will be 2-4 weeks before I receive any replacement parts. Representatives refuse to inform me or direct me on how to simply just return the product for my money back. Had product a week and yet able to use it. Garbage service.

Great customer service provided by Justin. It was nice being able to shop without being hounded by a sales rep the entire time in the store. The best part was that there was a great selection of furniture and I was able to find what i was looking for at a fair price which also included great discount.

First, the date of delivery of my furniture wasn't followed through by the salesman helping me. So I had to put off the delivery for another week. Then the transaction for my furniture didn't go through the first time, so the salesman told me I would have to do the transaction a second time. Well a few days later, checking my balance on my credit card. I found out I was charged twice for my furniture, which affected my credit score negatively!! They eventually took off the double charge. Then I asked for some type of compensation for all the trouble I was caused, and am getting the run around from the supervisor of the store since may!!!!!! I guess I'll have to go in person this week to get my compensation!! Will never buy from here again!!!!!!!

Ashley furniture store in Westland boasted to have Stella delivery service, I got a damaged $3000 dinner table instead. They claimed to not be affiliated with the delivery company they facilitated for me both entities promised a fix but no resolution. It’s disheartening to experience the change in service quality after purchase and payment

Purchased a sectional couch and an ottoman about 2 years ago. I was highly suggested by the employees to purchase warranty for the furnitures. I told them I dont need it since I have no kids, but if it covers scratches from pets I would purchase. They told me yes it does, i go today to make a claim and I was told that scratches from pets are not covered. I was tricked into getting this warranty. Terrible experience. Never purchasing at Ashley’s every again.

I ONLY hit 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. I ordered a new Recliner on 12-5-23 from the Westland, MI Ashley Furniture store with a promise to be Delivered 12-26-23. However, it wasn't delivered until 1-2-24. They delivered my order Broken and Damaged. I spent big money for the Zero Wall Recliner and here are the noticeable issues: 1) The entire chair is crooked / lopsided. 2) The seat cushion is caved in at the tailbone area. 3) The left arm of the chair makes a popping noise when leaned on. Upon returning to the store to seek help on the matter, I was given a phone number to the "Solution Dept" and said ONLY they can deal with my concerns after sale. I called the number & was told that they basically don't care if it was delivered broken, they have the right to repair it and I don't have a choice or the right for a refund. After much research, I learned Ashley Furniture Breached our Contract. It’s not just me, it’s thousands of other Ashley Furniture Consumers (that’s just in the USA). Most complaints are regarding Broken Furniture, Not Honoring Warranties, Breach of Contracts and using Fraudulent/Deceptive Business Practices to Cheat Consumers. I, in good faith, paid for my furniture. DSG took my money and I was left to trust they will uphold their end of Our Contract. And yet, they continue to threaten to keep my money, after their Failure of our Sales Contract 6 mths later. This store was really small but had a nice selection. The bad part is the service sucks so bad! Walked into the store without one person asking us how we were or if we needed help. There weren't even a lot of people in the store, but no one helped us. When we asked a question about a piece of furniture we just got a "no" and walked away smh. Terrible service!

Whatever Ashley decides on staff I recommend Brian to all of my friends he is professional and explains everything you need to know. Finally a friendly salesman with knowledge is a bright change in buying furniture. To bad GW Ashley has my support I am very pleased and satisfied.

Purchased a kitchen table and 6 chairs. The craftsmanship is horrible. We were picking it up from the warehouse. The salesman said we could pick it up next day, which was a Sunday. I asked "they're open on Sunday?" To which the salesman said yes. So we drove the 45 minutes to the warehouse and they were closed. Called the store and they had it delivered. We had to put it together and it was missing screws and most of the chairs either had splitting wood or not painted completely. Had to call their customer service line which is outsourced and TERRIBLE! I had to call 5 times asking for a status to which I was told, every time, that they would have to resubmit my claim. I called the store and the manager said that everyone complains about their customer service line. I was so fed up and asked if I could just return it. She said no refunds but would send a new one out. Still looked bad but not as bad. I've had it over a year but waited to post a comment to give me time to relax. The kitchen set I had before was over 20 years old and still in solid condition just didn'tmatch our newly renovated kitchen. They just don't make things to last anymore.

I’ve been to plenty of Ashley furnitures around the states and let me tell you what? Wendy, was by far the best salesperson I’ve encountered. I walked in with my mind set on ONE sofa and that was it. Here comes Wendy and a little while later I’m walking out with not just a sofa, but a loveseat AND an entertainment center. Sure, I could tell she was new at her job but man, you give her some more time under her belt and you’ll have yourself a wicked sales rep. Bought a couch and head board for 3,000 dollars the couch was close to 2,000 dollars it is a nice couch and we like it but there is a pretty big hole at the corner of the couch. I contacted customer service and they are horrible with help. Just a warning if you buy furniture and it comes damaged they will more than likely not be any help with the situation and likely ignore you. For as much money as the couch was I feel like I shouldn’t have to stare at this big hole and wood being exposed when it’s suppose to be brand new, least they could do is reply but after contacting them severally times I’ve basically given up and will not be buying furniture from Ashley’s again. Customer service is horrible.

After having a terrible experience at Ashley in Novi, my partner and I decided to give them one shot at redemption at a different location. I had called earlier in the day to explain what had happened to us in Novi and Charles was patient and empathetic. He convinced us to go into the Westland location and gave us our space while we browsed. He had to go at some point, but passed us onto his assistant store manager, Ray, who was charming and pleasant. We left with a full set of furniture and a new mattress. It was the polar opposite of our Novi experience. Would recommend anyone to go and work with Ray if you want a good deal and fun times while you shop.

I like this store and its layout. Even the staff are less pushy than at other furniture stores. That said, I never seem to find anything here that I am looking for. Maybe it's just not the place for me, but it could be for others.

I saw a lot of items that I liked, but I couldn’t even explore or ask questions without being berated by the staff. I understand they are trying to make a sale, but they made me so incredibly uncomfortable. They also made crude comments about what it was that I should buy (the need for a better mattress etc) and they kept trying to pressure me when I tried to explain I just wanted to look. I’m not sure if they are trained to behave like this, because at one point two of them teamed up for the same joke when I asked if it was offered in another colour…. All it did was make me feel embarrassed and insecure. I actually wanted to buy something today but the way they spoke and acted made me so uncomfortable I just tried to say whatever I needed to for them to let me leave.

Salesman was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to show me a wide variety of bed styles before choosing the one I selected.

Charles was very helpful and made the difference to our decision to purchase from the store vs ordering online.

We met a young gentleman named Christian, and we had no intentions at all of purchasing furniture. He was so likable and so congeal that we felt the urge to purchase furniture. When we meet people like him, we like to show our appreciation and decided to purchase. He was great!

Bought a new living room set from a really great sales associate by the name of Christian Mcclaine who was not only helpful but really down to earth, happy, and pleasant to be around :) This world definitely needs more people like Christian around!

Walked in to this store in Westland today not even intending to purchase a living room set for our new home but a sales associate by the name of CHRISTIAN MCCLAINE was so kind and helpful that I couldn’t have walked out of there without buying something from him! The salesperson was very cordial and helpful. We found exactly what we wanted. Nowhere else had this family room combo and we wanted it. The thing is I am totally upset with the 450 dollar delivery fee that is totally unacceptable and ridiculous. If we didn’t want this furniture as much as we did I wouldn’t have gotten it.

We had a good experience with this location. They had what we wanted in their warehouse and got it to us in considerably less time than the website offered. We also paid less than the websites prices. Everything has been delivered and we are very happy.

The purchase experience was good. However, when I went to pick up two of my items the first sales person was not helpful at all. Told be “I don’t know anything about the item” she then walked away telling I can wheel the purchased chair to the front myself and disappeared. As I wheeled the chair I met another sales person who was on his cell phone rudely ask me “what ya going on here”? I showed him my paperwork and he went and wheeled the book shelf to the front never once getting off his important personal phone call. The customer service I received was seriously disappointing and rude.

The store has great prices and some of them offer great discounts and financing as well. You can walk through the store and find product for everyone's needs. I could put 5 stars but the attitude of the seller who helped us was kind of rude even when my kids were there watching and listening to his comments. He was really friendly at the beginning but as soon as we started the buying process, he changed his mood considerably. Maybe because I rejected the warranty and chose the pickup option instead of the delivery fees, I'm not sure why, but the fact is that the guy was not happy at all anymore. My kids and wife were confused about the way he was treating us, but I just told them that sometimes people can't be happy all the time and it reflects in the way to talk to the people around them. So, I can give 5 stars to the store and 3 stars to the customer service. Thank you for your great products! February 2024. Good luck!

I was looking for a power recliner sofa and I must say the salesman was very professional. The delivery was going in 3 weeks. A competitor had the exact same sofa free next day delivery a week after I paid for the sofa. I called to cancel the order and all of a sudden they could have it there in 2 days. The next day I found out it was going to be 3 days, I cancelled the order. It's been over a week and I'm still waiting for my refund I had to call my credit card company to get a refund. I learned the hard way they're not the cheapest and they are slow with delivery and you have to fight to get a refund. If you live in Michigan shop at the 2 other furniture stores. You will get better prices and faster service

Very friendly salesman. The store was well stocked and great variety . Took advantage of the red dot sales items. Delivery date great.

At this time I'll share what I can. Sales in store stated you could finance for 60mo. Online you only got the opt of 6 & 12 mo. I was told prices in store are higher. They will match online prices but would not honor 60mo terms. That makes my payments almost $400 vs $40. Huge dif. I was told they could do 3 yrs if i dis the purchase by phone but then they would not honor online pricing. At this point I'm not sure I'll continue with the sale. It matters. I'll be calling today to see if there's a way to honor the financing. If not, I'll cancel the sale.

My furniture was supposed to be delivered tomorrow. They called to reschedule a delivery two weeks away! I’m having a Christmas party and already gave away my old furniture. I’m not going to have anywhere for my guests to sit! I can’t even talk to a human when I call! Trash company

furniture itself was good but three stars because of the delivery service workers were extremely LAZY and said they could not fit my modular sofa. Did not want to carry my couch upstairs or at least attempt to. All they did was look around my apartment and said “nope”. REFUSED to put the couch in my garage because I knew it would fit if my family members did it themselves. My dad ended up getting the sofa in with NO PROBLEM, one man job too, mind you there were two delivery guys when they first tried to drop it off. Very inconvenient.

I placed an online purchase on 11/14. I received confirmation that my order would be delivered on 12/12. I received an email confirmation as well as text confirmation on 12/9 that my order would be delivered on 12/12. I removed all of my furniture and waited patiently for my order. I received a call THE DAY OF MY DELIVERY after the time that my order was supposed to be delivered and told that my order was delayed. I called customer service and was told that my order was not ready. I was placed on hold for several minutes. I asked to speak with a supervisor to help resolve my issue and was told that they would call me back in 'a few hours'. I was told that there was no supervisor and that there was nothing they could do. I was also never called back by a supervisor. I then tried to call the store near my home (based on their hours that are posted online) and the phone recording indicated that the store was 'closed'. Two weeks before Christmas - I HAVE NO FURNITURE! I was finally able to get with the store and was told that they have NOTHING in house. I couldn't even pick another similar couch because they don't have anything on site. I had to go through the same warehouse; therefore my order would not be fulfilled until mid-January. How does this happen? How am I contacted and confirmed that my order will be delivered and then the day of the delivery get a call indicating that I will not receive my order for another month?! I will NEVER buy anything from this store again. Horrible communication and even poorer customer service.

We went to Ashley furniture in Westland and ordered a nice dining room set. Well Ray Smith took care or us very well, I recommend Ray to everyone that goes there.Ray did everything very well. Me & My Wife was very very Pleased with Ray. Keep it going Ray!

I recently had a wonderful experience shopping at Westland location. The store was clean and well-organized, and the staff was friendly and helpful. My salesperson, Quianna was particularly outstanding. Quianna was patient and knowledgeable, and took the time to understand my needs . My husband and I purchased a sofa from Ashley furniture. The store was great and the sales staff were great. There was a disconnect with delivery and we were going to cancel our purchase but the staff was so great we decided not to. The delivery eventually happened and we are happy with the purchase so far.

Had a great experience with Ray, Kurt, and Shayla. They were friendly, helpful, and informative! All had a great sense of humor and made the process much less stressful than usual. They are a great crew- the best I have encountered at Ashley!

This is the first poor review that I post but they wronged a family member by selling them a mattress with bed bugs. A private inspection was done on the entire home and discovered that the bed bugs were coming from the mattress. Store manager was contacted within a week of discovery, since he made the sale and stated they would be sending someone out to inspect it in a few days(two weeks went by and nothing happened). Poor service seems to be a common complaint here in the reviews. If you prefer to keep a clean home, do not shop here.

***DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY!*****I went into Ashley completely trusting that the sales person knew what size table would fit into my apartment. He sold me a table that was way too large and on the eve of a holiday when my family was visiting. The Manager said it was ok to go over the 72 hour restocking fee and when it was time to switch it out with a smaller table, they flatly said no and that their hands were tied because they couldn't get permission to do this from headquarters like they thought they could. I also bought a picture that is still in the box that doesn't go with my room arrangement with the newly purchased bedroom set or living room set I got the same day, but they refuse to take this simple item back, as well. The customer at Ashley is clearly last. There are many other places to buy nice, inexpensive furniture. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY! They are only interested in taking your money and not your return business.

Everything went very well until check out I was told that we would not be eligible for the Yeti Cooler for our purchase the store manager came out with some fine print saying we are not eligible for this very disappointed hearing this after the purchase was done. Drawers are very cheap and flimsy Ashley's Furniture has the worst customer service & during delivery my item was damaged it took them almost a month to get a replacement. If you want quality I recommend Gardener White I have never had any issues with them.

My 88 yr old father needed a lift chair. Two months ago, we went into the store, to see what they had. The sales person with the British accent told is we would need to take the chair the same day we purchased it because they wanted to “clear the floor for new product.” We didn’t have a truck so we waited until my daughter came to town, with her truck. Saturday was the big day! We went into the store and he picked his chair. We had a 20%of flyer that had come in the mail, and were so happy to know that my dad would have the chair he needed. They announced that we would need to order a chair and pay to have it delivered…eventually! I said “no,” because we were told we would be taking a chair with us! Brooke…the dipstick customer service rep…took forever asking the manager if we could take a chair with us. It was agreed upon, the coupon was adding, and then…THEY REFUSED TO TAKE HIS CHECK!!! They said the store wasn’t “set up” to accept checks!! They wanted cash or debit. I gave them my card, as my dad doesn’t have one! The check out was RIDICULOUSLY SLOW!!! The manager was too fragile to tell staff to load the chair, so I pointed a 3 male staff and said, “You, you, you…go load the chair.” After signing his life away, we got the chair home. It worked…ONCE! That’s it! ONCE! I started calling the store. No one ever answers it. I had to call their “customer care” number, where i was left on hold for over 20 minutes, TWICE!! I finally got a human who informed me that the warranty was expired because we bought the floor model. NO ONE TOLD US WE HAD THE FLOOR MODEL!!! They said they had 3 chairs left!!! I am beyond angry! Ashley furniture took advantage of my 88 yr old father!! That is ELDER ABUSE!!! I filed a complaint with BBB! I am calling news stations and everyone else i can think of for help. My father didn’t deserve this. He deserves a brand new chair or a full refund. I want negative stars to be an option for this company! They should be shut down!

This place and its employees are absolute garbage. They took advantage of my 89 year old grandfather when I took him to buy a chair. They refused to take his check so we paid for his chair with our debit cards. They gave him a broken floor model and are now saying it is out of warranty because it is a floor model. We didn't want the floor model. He paid for a brand new chair. The employees were dumb and lazy and belittling. The sales girl was bragging about using Mushrooms as her source of energy for work. They took advantage of us, they gave horrible customer service and they are frauds. We are disputing our charge with the bank and have contacted the BBB. No one in this family will ever ever use this company again. This particular store needs to go under and make their employees go find actual real work where the customer comes first. They are not done with us yet. Shame on all of you. My poor elderly grandpa just wanted a nice lift chair and paid for it and these people could care less. And the stupid sales girl acting high as a kite was degrading to me who just drove the truck to drive the chair home. Lord help her if she ever sees me again. This place is the worst.

If I could leave a zero I would. I came into this store and there were no employees present. A woman finally came out as I was standing in the middle of the store. I am not sure if she saw me or no but I doubt it. Two men came out the back after that and were pointing in my direction. I figured someone would come over but they never did. I was in the store for at least 10 minutes and no one helped me. Even as I left one of the guys was sitting down on a couch in the front texting but never looked up. So I was never greeted or helped at all and I did not appreciate it. I will not be returning.

Terrible, TERRIBLE business ethic and customer service.. Bought a $6000 tempur-pedic bed. Rodney (the salesman) told us everything we wanted to hear before making the purchase. He said that the bed would be delivered, installed and the old mattress/box spring would be removed and disposed of, in addition to any other adjustments to the frame, without issue. The bed was delivered but the crew refused to remove the old mattress and remove the base boards from the old frame. Unfortunately, I was at work during this time so my poor wife, who suffers from a hernia, was forced to move the king size pillow top mattress out of the room by herself while they stood there and watched. They then put the bed together and said the remote wasn't working. Furious now, my wife went back to the store to complain about the situation and of course they all said what we wanted to hear..."that was unacceptable, they should have done everything, blah blah blah. They "reset" the remote and said it should work now. Regardless, it should not have come to this...when she got home, the remote STILL was not working. Now she is calling me Furious once more to tell me the whole situation. I get home and do my own investigation and discover the idiots didn't connect the bed properly. So I got the bed to work myself. Onto the STILL unresolved issue with the mattress sitting in out hallway. The workers at the store told my wife to call a customer service number to resolve the disposal situation. She calls only to get hung up on 3 times, then when she does get through they said it's not their responsibility to remove the mattress and to take up with the Ashley store but they would write a ticket for someone to call us back to try and resolve the issue. No one ever called. Now I go, myself, to the store to talk to the manager. I tried to be as civil as possible while talking with Cody, the manager. He told me he was going to put in a vip request with customer service and that I should be getting a call from them within 3 hours. He also gave me his personal cell number and specifically said to text him if I did not get a call back. Well, I never received a call and when I texted him, he never responded. I texted him again the next day and again, he never responded. As a result of all of this false advertising and BS, my wife is now complaining about her hernia and has a doctors appointment to determine if it is worse. Ashley Furniture and their BS third party delivery service will be hearing from my attorney in the event that surgery or other medical issues come from this awful experience.

Absolutely THE WORST. I wish I could grade them on the basis of the worst companies on the planet and from the beginning of time. I haven’t had my bed set up in OVER ONE YEAR AND THREE MONTHS. It’s July of 2023 and I’ve been waiting since MAY OF 2022. They first brought the entire bedroom set last year in May along with PART of the bed and a BROKEN piece of the bed. Then I reported the issue immediately to the store. Ok, fine, delivery was arranged for the missing and broken pieces. And guess what? On the day of delivery day, I got a call that the driver “forgot to load the pieces”. Ok???? Then we setup another delivery date. Again, “driver forgot to load the missing pieces”. This went on for MONTHS. Then they invented a new excuse: “sorry, supply chains are backed up”. Yes, that did happen globally in 2022 and then eventually we set up another delivery date after MONTHS. And still I got a call on the delivery date or a few days before delivery: “sorry, sir, we need to reschedule.” I called corporate and discovered from them that the PRODUCT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. THEY HAD BEEN LYING TO ME FOR MONTHS. I took multiple visits to the shop and multiple calls to corporate, and each time they invented some new excuse for delaying the problem. One time, a worker at the shop said that he didn’t have access to the internal portal. Found out recently from another that he was LYING. One time at corporate, I was told that this problem can be resolved in shop. DEFLECTION. Nobody wants to WORK or take RESPONSIBILITY. ALL they do is LIE and NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. Both the corporate company and the workers! Finally, idk on which time I’ve recalled corporate, I FORCED the lady to make a TICKET to the STORE to EXCHANGE MY ITEM. She was being hesitant and was offering other ways to resolve the issue (as if anything had worked so far??). And I didn’t stop until I had that ticket made and sent to the shop. I made her make a ticket and a message for the shop to exchange our bed, and ONLY THEN did the store comply! Otherwise, each time it was like ping pong. One side didn’t take responsibility and just blamed the other party- between corporate and the Westland shop! Worthless - both of them. By the time we claim the ticket at shop and come to the shop to choose a new set, we’re told that supply chains are back to normal and the bed is back in stock! I retorted with: “I was told that the product line was discontinued altogether?” “Oh, the supply chain is back to normal and it’s in stock again.” Really? Ok, let’s get my bed then. I’m still skeptical and don’t believe a word they’re saying. Today, the delivery boys came and didn’t know about which pieces were broken or missing. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. The records have been in the system forever and Ashley’s couldn’t even relay all the information to the delivery boys who came in to build PART OF A BED. I dismissed them and said I don’t want half a bed. I want a full bed. Now it’s July, 2023, and I’m absolutely exhausted by dealing with this company. You know why I’ve been stuck with this company? Because they gave the whole set to me on credit and then sold the account to some other company. For a year, I’ve been loyally paying for the most pathetic job ever. As in, Ashley’s has NO financial responsibility once they sell a customer’s account to a third party. Ashley’s just sold accounts with a low interest to a third party and never thought twice about how to run a business. They’re just making money like a mortgaging company sells accounts to another mortgage company for a higher interest rate! Run from this business like the apocalypse and tell all your friends and family to save themselves from the worst customer service experience in human history. I already have. I think I just might sue at this point.

I rarely review. I only do so when I receive very good service or when I feel wronged by a company. In this case, I believe we were misled, or lied to. We paid for white glove delivery (includes assembly) due to our current medical conditions but we got a door stop delivery. They also showed up a week after the scheduled delivery date even though the sales rep said they’ve been on time 95% of the time. I called the store back and they would not send someone out to assemble it and they would not refund us the delivery charges. On top of this, we could’ve saved a few hundred dollars by ordering the same exact products on Ashley’s website for cheaper but we decided to buy it from the sales reps to give them the commission. If I were you, I would not buy from this store or the sales reps at this location.

They sold me a defective sectional with a poorly cut, creaky frame and refuse to cover it under warranty even though I reported it within days of purchasing it. I only asked for that one piece to be replaced, not the entire sectional, but they won't budge. It causes friction on the fabric that makes a horrible noise anytime someone sits. They refuse to do anything.

DO NOT BUY HERE. 0 stars should be an option. Inexperienced and deceitful sales team. We bought a couch in February, sat down with the sales representative Brandon. We went over specifically what we wanted out of the couch, we were budgeting over $2,000. Big purchases like that require some specific needs/wants. Brandon advised us that the couch had everything we needed. Said the couch order needed to be placed online, fine. Should have been a red flag when we noticed he didn't even understand the way the system worked. Nonetheless, trusted our sales rep that our needs were met. Because why not trust people, right? Wrong. Couch was delivered, far from what we wanted. Ashley's DOES NOT HAVE A RETURN POLICY. Instead we did a "return and replace", is their way of keeping your money policy. Got a nightstand instead. The price of the couch was removed, however the "white glove delivery fee" is still charged on our account. We've called customer service for the past 4 months with no resolution (unable to get into contact with the store). My husband went into the store March 21, he spoke to Cody (store manager) and was told the white glove delivery fee would be removed once the couch was returned. Once again, couch was returned, and we still have the $320 white glove delivery fee on our account. We're beyond frustrated, this has been such a disappointing experience. This company uses deceptive advertising, "America's #1 Home store", more like "America's Worst Home store". Do yourself a favor, don't shop here.

The salesperson that we dealt with (Taylor) was pretty good but seemed kind of inexperienced. However, the checkout process was really really bad - took us almost 45 minutes to go through the checkout process (more time than we spent choosing furniture!). The delivery process was not smooth as well. Everything was supposed to be delivered on the same day, but came in different batches on different days. The customer service rep had no idea as to how to track our items. We then learned that one of the items (a bookshelf) was on back order and would be delivered a month later! Something that we were not informed of when we bought it. I asked that a supervisor call me about that and no one did! Overall - not a good buying experience from Ashley!

Got exactly what I wanted for $220 cheaper than it was online. Even though they didn’t have the item in store they pulled up the instruction booklet to answer all my questions and ensured there was one in stock before placing my order. The whole process was quick and painless. I was in and out within a half hour.

Salesman Mark Phillips from the Westland, Michigan Ashley home store told me Ashley would remove my old mattress when my new mattress was delivered. The delivery refused to take my mattress and said that was not in there deal with Ashley. I paid $240 for delivery and removal of my mattress. I even had to help bring in the mattress as only one person was delivering it. Mark Phillips lied to me and continues to lie by saying he gave the delivery guy a bag to put my old mattress in to take. I called the delivery guy and he stated that was a complete lie. I have requested that Ashley’s have either remove my mattress or refund me my delivery fee that I had to pay to help move my own mattress in my house. Beware.

Place is a clean place to help was very courteous and helpful I purchased a coffee table plus Tony and Mark very helpful especially when it came out to the beds they were very knowledgeable took their time explaining everything it was a pleasure .

I love my Tulin reclining sofa in chocolate I love the color its beautiful,and so comfortable and the delivery guys were amazing they really went over and beyond to make sure I was satisfied!!!!! I will come back to Ashley's for all my furniture needs ! Thank you for a wonderful experience

The worst experience I have ever had in a furniture store. The staff was rude and condescending. No one greeted any customers walking in the store. I personally told each employee, Have a Great Day! Customer service is not a priority here. Spend your money at another location, try the one in Novi! They are always great I will continue to shop at that location. Never again!

Finally got my bed the other day. Placed the order in June of 2022, final piece was delivered on 3/21/23. We ordered furniture based on what was in stock at the time. Wasn’t informed of the back order of the bed until a week after it was supposed to be delivered. Overall the company is terrible at communication, had to drive to the store multiple times to get an answer. They don’t value the customer, seems like a company full of people just collecting a paycheck. I’ve been a logistics manager in the past who had teams all across the state doing custom appliance installs and an even larger team making deliveries to our customers. Everything I experienced with Ashley was what we aspired and trained not to be. They use 3rd party delivery guys, most National companies use 3rd party contractors. I’ve even used plenty in the past. But Ashley doesn’t train or hold them accountable to clean up after themselves, install all the parts, or even provided with booties for their boots. I had styrofoam bits, lock washers, grass, dirt all over my carpet. I had to go to the hardware twice to grab new washers and bolts since they were not delivered with the furniture. On the delivery that was just completed they dinged my wall. ( I get things happen, just the icing on the cake). I should have listened to reviews, save your heartache, spend a little more money at a smaller local furniture company. I wish I would have. I’ll never buy from Ashley again, and will be certain to tell anyone who asks not to shop at Ashley. I’m actually relieved I don’t have to communicate with them anymore. Update from their reply the other day. Sent a text yesterday, no reply. Sent an email to the email address they provided, got a notification that my email couldn't be delivered.

Very informative and loved the energy of our salesman Rodney. We are happy with our purchases and received them within three days of ordering.

Sales representative was very helpful and tried his best to get us what we wanted. The company itself has many deals and promotions that kept going away the more we were going to spend. We started at a $4,000 couch, and qualified for promotions, but when we got to $10,000 on entire living room, we didn’t fall under any of the promotions anymore.

Extremely overpriced place. They sell you on how much credit they're willing to give you, which is basically just them saying 'yes, we'll give you large credit so you can pay off this absolutely ordinary and overpriced item.' The customer service is trash, also. Before you buy they pretend to be super friendly, but once you have order issues, they're useless and rude. I ordered a bed, which was a few months out on delivery, which was fine. But when it finally showed up, half the bed was missing, it was borderline impossible to get this resolved over the phone/online. They got my email AND telephone number wrong, took me 4 separate contact times to get it resolved. They tried telling me the delivery people had confirmed ALL the correct parts showed up so there was nothing they could do lol. So I went to the store and the person admitted they had forgotten to reorder the correct parts, which shows the person through text were just trying to get rid of me. Then when the correct parts DID show up, they wanted to take away all the parts I had and not give me all the correct parts back. Delivery guys blamed the store, the store blamed the delivery guys. It was a pretty bad experience. I tried to remain patient but it was a struggle. Don't recommend this trash place at all.

Poor customer service.

If I could give no stars I would. The delivery guys brought my daughter's bed, which has an adjustable base. They also brought a bunky board to set the base on, however, they said it was not needed. My daughter's frame originally had wood slats and they just put the adjustable base on the slats. They said it would be strong enough. They said to not raise the head or the foot of the bed up for 5 hours because the mattress was frozen. After 5 hours was up, my daughter laid on it and raised the head up..it was then that we saw the slats were bowing. Not safe for her at all. The driver was also very rude.

Yesterday I had a service person (Tom) from the Westland Ashley store out to my house to make some repairs on our bedroom furniture. Tom arrived on time, introduced himself and explained what to expect during the service call. The repair was completed in a timely and professional manner. Tom was very polite throughout the process and was an excellent representative for the Ashley brand. Thank you Tom

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!!! I never received all of my order, I ordered in October 2022 and now it’s February 2023! No call back on the item I am missing! Everyone has been giving me the run around! I will never refer no one to buy from Ashley Furniture PERIOD!!!!!!!!!

Do not buy from Ashley. Every item of our $5500 order is damaged, they forged my wife’s signature and said we accepted the furniture so there is nothing they can do . Won’t call us back and have lied to us constantly. Delivered wrong table twice now , headboard is cracked in half and glued back together poorly. Night stand is delaminating and huge chunk out of dresser that was painted over . Tv stand is chipped and cracked, bench is scratched and has gaps in the joints . Sales man lied about return policy and over charged us twice that we had to get corrected. Once they get your money ,they no longer care about customer service . Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with , we will be taking them to small claims court as well as letting everyone know our experience with Ashley and the poor service and quality.

As you entered the store, we were greeted with a smile and were asked what we needed help with. The atmosphere was welcoming with warm soft music and kind and friendly staff. They were not pushy to make a sale, but made us feel like they cared about what we were looking for and guided us in the right direction. From the manager to the rep who helped us with our purchase, we felt welcome. Our 1st time at Ashley but it won't be the last time.

Do not buy from here. Worst service I have ever received. Damaged items over and over. I'm now waiting on my 3rd bed because the first 2 were damaged. One was cracked in half and they glued together and tried to deliver like that. Every single piece has damage and they are trying to tell me that's normal. Horrible experience. Do not buy from here!!!

I wish I could give a higher number of stars, the Westland staff were helpful prior to the sale but customer service from corporate related to delivery and assembly issues is poor. Store personnel can't help with these issues at all and refer you to the 1-800 number. I have made 2 major purchases with Ashley in the last 9 months. The first issue was with a dresser that did not have holes predrilled for a mirror. We took care of it ourselves and I figured it was a one time thing. I am in the midst of a second order that has been a real pain to resolve. The hardware for the bed I ordered did not fit properly and I was told by the delivery contractor that they would report that there was a hardware issue and new hardware would be sent to me within 7 days. I didn't want to reject the order and was advised not to. 13 days later, still no hardware and customer service tells me that no hardware was ordered. Lets not even talk about the grief I am getting related to white glove service on an order that is coming in pieces. Even though I like their products, I will not be buying from Ashley in the future based on these experiences.

Purchased stuff before thanksgiving, still not delivered. Dining table delivered broken, eac time a single chair delivered, still waiting for another chair, no response to repair or replace. The most horrible purchase of my life. Public stay away from Ashley and you will be far happy buying from elsewhere.

Great furniture, can't lie. BUT only order what is in stock. Going on 3 months of excuses and "lost/backordered" furniture Once they finally tired to save face and offer a discount or ANYTHING AT ALL.... it was Only .05% 🤣

It was very good customer service

We originally purchased 2 tables and sets of chairs for our new home. The customer service rep was informed that I only wanted options in things that could be delivered prior to the Thanksgiving holiday (about a 2-3 week window). We were shown a few different options and we made our selections , placed the order and again were assured that timely delivery would NOT be an issue! When it came time to confirm delivery is when things went down hill. I was told that I wouldn’t have a delivery date until after Thanksgiving and I explained that this was discussed prior to the purchase with the sales rep. The customer service person on the phone with me was the most unprofessional “service member” I’ve ever spoken to and ended up telling me to either cancel the order or wait. When I said that really shouldn’t be your best option, she hanged (correct word there) up on me! I then went to the Novi location and spoke directly to the rep and it just wasn’t good. He back peddled and tried to talk his way out of the mess he created. I cancelled the order and went to a different Ashley furniture where I ordered the same exact things and was able to get the order cheaper….weird! The delivery was still an issue because we still didn’t get our order for over a month! I will have to truly think twice before using this company again and I’m a return customer where my time isn’t wasted! I would honestly look elsewhere before purchasing again.

Excellent experience with the Westland store. Staff was professional and very helpful. The delivery team was great, good communication all the way around and very cautious when installing it in the house .

Pathetic experience.... 1) delivery is delayed moreover with a missing piece which was never ordered by the sales rep. 2) broken piece which they don't bother resolving it
