If I could give zero stars I would. THE WORST! I’m not usually one to complain, but I don’t want anyone else to have to experience what we have been dealing with. Never, NEVER buy from AshleyFurniture! The worst customer experience and service ever!! This started in May when we had our sofa and two love seats delivered damaged. I had to resend pictures because they lost the pictures the delivery drivers took. They then ghosted me to the point I had to go in the store and get a response. Eventually someone got back to me and scheduled service. I have a rather limited schedule but it still took them until NOVEMBER to get my sofa. They were around 5+ hours late on a Saturday to pick it up. Two weeks later I was told it would be 20+ weeks to get the parts to fix!! They have known the issue for 7 months already!!! Their solution is to give us store credit to reselect furniture, no discount, no compensation for the hours we waited on a Saturday, no concessions for the months of waiting. They will admit that they “have not been without fault” in all this, so I’ve got that going for me… This is just a brief snapshot of the horrible service we have received. Ashley Furniture is THE WORST!

*EDIT- The store manager called and chewed me out for this review. He was so extremely rude that I had to hang up the phone on him. While I appreciate things were made better, it doesn't make up for the fact that I had to spend my own time calling and inquiring to make sure my issue was resolved and for the lack of communication.* I am very displeased with this store. I placed an order for a chair and ottoman set. The day of the delivery the were an hour and a half past the delivery cut off time (5pm) and did not call to let me know. I called as my delivery window was closing and was assured it would be on time, when the time came and went I called back and had to scramble to find someone to be at my house for the delivery. The ottoman was back ordered so I picked it up in store (or they would have charged me to deliver it) and found out there were no screw holes in it for set up. I talked with the 1800 number and they were going to do an exchange saying the holes should have been there. I never heard back from them. I called and talked to the store manager and he said the holes needed to be drilled and asked if I could do it and shared why the delivery was so late (medical emergency). I can understand that, but it would have been nice to know how late they were going to be on the day of delivery. I said no I didn't want to drill the holes, and he said he would send someone out at a specific time. The time came and they didn’t show, I called the store & the guy said he would be on his way. 30 minutes later it’s finished. Between the lack of communication and habitual lateness I would have a tough time buying from them again. After being chewed out by the store manager, I will NEVER set foot in an Ashley furniture again.

We have bought a living room and dinning room set from Ashley. So when it came time for a new mattress we went to Ashley. Was original thinking Nectar. But the sales associate Ray Drown pointed us to the Brenham from Sealy after asking us some questions about how we sleep. Purchased it and had it delivered, which was free. We have now slept on it for a week and love it. We don't move around at night and we wake up with no pain. The perfect mattress for us. Thank you Ray!

They will say whatever to sell you something, and not stand behind any of it. spent good money on a bed and $300 on a mattress protector that didn't protect a single thing, and now won't stand behind the mattress protector guarantee even though its been on bed from the day they delivered the bed and bedroom set and set it all up, which the bedroom set came damaged and they made to 2 attempts to replace the damaged piece and the 3rd time it still came damaged so we gave up. poor customer service once the purchase is complete.

We purchased a sectional at Ashley a few months back and we had a great experience working with Ethan! We appreciated his low pressure but attentive approach while we were deciding on fabric color as we have small kids. We'd definitely buy again!

My partner and I just bought our first couch set today. I was worried about what that experience would be like because I tend to get really overwhelmed in stores. Luckily, Ethan was there to help us out. He made the process easier and made sure that we knew every detail before making a decision. He was also incredibly personable and authentically himself. I originally posted a poor review because I had some issues with our furniture being delivered and damaged. It turned out to be a drawn out process for different reasons. I have since deleted that review bc even though the process wasn’t perfect I do believe Ashley furniture and especially the store manager, Russ did a really good job to fix the issue. Things happen and not everyone/everywhere makes it right but in this case I am happy with the end results. An extra thanks to Russ who kept his word and went above and beyond to give excellent customer service.

I’m leaving a review because the sales guy, Ethan, was very knowledgeable and patient while I worked through choosing a new couch. He was very transparent about the pricing, and did not try to upsell me anything while still making sure I knew about every option available that might fit my needs, which actually took pressure off enough that I got a couch that was a step up from the one I originally was considering. He wasn’t pushy at all and didn’t hover while I decided, which was very nice since I took some time deciding. I had a great experience and would highly recommend Ethan if you want someone who will be thorough without being too heavy of a sales presence. This store has a nice selection of couches with a wide variety of features and price points.

Bought a sectional for over 4k had to wait months to get it then it finnaly showed up broke and not working and the Customer service is horrible i will never purchase from this place again i purchased it in feb and mid August the couch is still not working and just got a notification its going to be months befor the parts even get in so who knows how long thos is going to go on or if it will ever get fixed.

I was shopping all around for a tempur pedic in April. We met with Ray Drown and he was amazing. He took the time to show us all of our options and was not pushy. We came back in July to help a family member buy some furnishings for his new place. Ray provided 5 star service and support with his bed purchase. We would have bought more items if the manager wouldn’t have made a fuss when we requested Ray to be our salesperson for our whole purchase. If I could give Ray more stars I would. The store is clean, well lit and welcoming plus the purchase process was so much better than other furniture stores. I got to sit in a comfortable chair instead of standing which means so much to me because I have health issues including dystonia, which makes standing problematic for me. Shawn even gladly helped me with more questions about other items after I made my initial purchase.

Simply Awesome and Highly Recommend Ashley Furniture in the old Shopko location. Beautiful furnishings and lots of them. Had no intention of buying that day, however Ethan guided us among the about 20 power lift Recliners and knowledgeably educated us regarding the various features. Appears there’s a chair for nearly every budget and this one is right in our middle range. Super looking forward to its delivery! Oh and extra for the 5 year warranty (which means no smelly stain resistant chemicals) with a motor and our 3 cats just seemed prudent. Post Delivery: Another home run! They text’d as promised in advance and day of confirmed delivery time with updates. The delivery fellows were courteous and competent with the chair delivered in perfect condition. Oh and the chair is Awesome!

There is a variety of styles of furniture and prices. Salespeople are NOT pushy. Shawn knew his stuff or found answers for our questions. Will shop there again.

Great Stock - Great service - GREAT Experience! If you have not checked out Ashley / Furniture Mart in Duluth … you should. Drove all the way from Hayward … twice! Was definitely worth the drive. Worked with Josh both times as well as spoke on the phone two weeks before making the drive. Josh is VERY knowledgeable regarding inventory as well as offering an opinion if asked. Met Russ (manager) - very knowledgeable as well … starts from the top! Ashley/ Furniture Mart store’s are lucky to have these gentlemen apart of the team. Check this store out … it is worth it!

We ordered a couch in the first week of October 2024, was given a ETA of 11/8/24 and told it may even come sooner. We received terrible communication, full out lies that it was stuck in the port strike, then told a month later it was stuck in China still. Here we are mid February 2025 and our couch was supposed to be delivered today and even that has been pushed back leaving us waiting all day for nothing. I’ve never experienced customer service like this and hopefully this doesn’t happen to others.

I called Ashley store manager Ross on 11/18/2023. Told me they have had no issues with this company and everything would be covered. Zipper broke on a cushion … guess what not covered.. come to find this Guardian company has a class action lawsuit going against them. My first 1 star review.

Ethan at Furniture Mart & Ashley Furniture helped us look for lamps, swivel chairs and side tables. We found two different swivel chairs that we liked. He clearly explained our options for different fabric choices and the pricing with the different materials. We looked at several other stores and then came back to Ashley to buy the chair we liked best. Ethan showed us where to pick up the chairs when they were delivered to the warehouse and made recommendations about what to do when we return to pick up the chairs since we live several hours away. When he explained the current trends in lighting after the three of us didn’t find the small lights we were looking for, he recommended a store with a variety of home decor items that didn’t sell furniture and wasn’t on our list of stores to visit. We found the small table lights there that are perfect for our needs. Ethan was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and made shopping in a huge store an enjoyable experience.

I never thought buying a mattress could be fun. That is until we met Ray D. in the sleep department. Ray took the time to listen to what we were after and helped my wife and I find it. We ordered what we thought was the perfect couch and love seat. After deliver, we found that they simply did not fit our layout. We went back to see John and explained our dilemma and he showed us options that would fit our layout. I Thankfully we purchased the "White Glove Service." The new modular sectional was delivered a week later and we couldn't be happier.

Overall the most annoying experience at a furniture store ever. We were immediately greeted and asked what we were looking for. We mentioned we just wanted to price some furniture cause we’re moving and would let him know if we had questions. For the entire 1.5 hrs we were there Tim followed us like a shark, we even got a phone call and had to do a quick financial discussion on the home we are selling. Tim was right there with us. My husband finally had to say “if we need something we will come find you.” He walked away, came back and aggressively replied “it seems like you want some space, if you want anything you’ll have to come find me.” Yes, great. Thanks. Thats what we said upon arrival. So if you want to feel like you’re being stalked, this is the place for you.

not a good experience. it is shameful that when I called to ask when my delivery was happening. I was met with a very bad attitude from the receptionist. if you have to buy furniture here do not pay the extra two hundred "white glove delivery" service don't do it rent a UHaul and pay someone to do it. because they will make a 70 year old widow sit in the floor all week to be told delivery would be 10:30 am and have to wait until it's convenient for them. they just don't care and will laugh at you when you say that you don't feel like paying the extra 200 is worth it. you can just tell the salesman and receptionist deal with this all the time because they were so comfortable telling us it's not their problem. must be normal business practice for them. not a good experience at all.

Went in to find a new mattress. I had an idea of what I was looking for, and had a great customer service experience as soon as I walked in the door. Let me say I usually hate furniture stores because of the sales people that act like sharks. Tim was attentive without being pushy. Prices were the best in town for living room furniture. Plenty of variety and features for lots of different needs. I will definitely choose Ashley over other stores in town.

We worked with Jaedon to pick out a couch. Turned out to not fit in the room so they took it back. Jaedon tried to help us find a good replacement but just like in our initial contact with him, he didn’t seem to listen to us, kept pushing us towards a specific brand we weren’t interested in, then kept quickly flashing numbers in front of us with out much detail behind them. Once I told him it didn’t look like they had anything that I liked in the store, he instantly became dismissive, said “They’ll help you up front”. He told the lady up front that “These people need a refund” and walked away without saying anything else to us. I was still in the market for a couch and wasn’t necessarily done shopping with them if they had other options maybe online. I ended up finding a good replacement on their website, but also noticed that HOM Furniture had the same one. So I bought it with them the next morning.

After going to every store in Duluth that sells beds we had the best experience at Ashley Furniture Mart. Our salesperson was Ray Drown. Ray was knowledgeable, answered all of our questions in great detail, put no pressure whatsoever on us to make a hurried decision (unlike HOM Furniture) and respected the time my husband and I needed to discuss which bed would be best for us by stepping away, giving us time alone. We went here to purchase 4 chairs. We left with 2 and couldn't be happier! Russ was the salesman working with us. He was so friendly and welcoming and accommodating. He let us know right away what sales were going on and what he had in stock or when he could get it in stock at a later date. We got to bring home two chairs and ordered two more. We looked at 4 other stores and this one was THE BEST by far. Not only was there an incredible sale going on. But the two chairs we ordered would be delivered for 1/4 of the cost that Slumberland would have the exact same chairs delivered. AND we got the EXACT same chairs for about 3/4 of the cost than at Slumberland. 10/10 will be coming back.

Great experience shopping for a couch. Had done some online research before coming into the store and Jaedon did a great job of explaining the different types of couch foundations they offer. Appreciated him explaining the benefits of purchasing the whole set and delivery options. He listened when I explained what we were looking to buy today and what our plans down the road were and didn’t push us to buy more than we were ready for. Really appreciated the service!

Worked with Alex who was great. Very nice shopping experience. They don’t use pushy tactics which is a nice change from most places. Found a couch and financing and setting up a delivery date was seamless.

The store itself was great. We worked with a sales person named Josh who helped us find exactly what we needed. It was expensive but the warranty was worth it with having kids. We paid for delivery as we lived out of range for free delivery. One of our dressers got broken during the delivery in June 2023. I was told it was out of stock and should be in in September, then it was October, then November, and when I called in November … you can guess it! …. Now December but because of the holiday it wouldn’t be delivered until January so to call back then. I called back 1/3/24 to be told the case was closed the end of December because I didn’t answer when they called and they call 3 times before closing a case. They are “supposed to” document when someone called but no one did so they can’t even tell me when for me to check but I never saw a missed call and never got a voicemail. I also was able to see that I called days before it was closed which is when I was told it would arrive late December. They gave me the option of waiting 2-3 more months for a replacement or keeping the one I have (which the door doesn’t work on and it’s cracked so it sits at an angle making all the drawers open constantly) and they’ll give me a 10% refund. No thanks! I’m still paying monthly payments for a dresser that is taking up room and we can’t use properly. It’s also becoming a hazard to our toddler because the drawers open constantly an and he now wants to try to climb them. And we can’t use the door to cover the drawers because the door doesn’t work (missing peg). As much as I love the bedroom set and the giant circle chair we got - I’ll never buy another item from Ashley after this experience and thankfully I’ve prevented a few people from making the same mistake.

Alex K. was fantastic to work with. We walked in with a plan to purchase a bedframe and walked out having financed a bedroom set, dining room table, and sofa set. They're all things we needed but hadn't necessarily planned to purchase that day. We found items we liked and decided to take advantage of the special financing. We were happy with our 4 or so hours spent with Alex. He gave us time to ourselves and check in at the right times. He had great suggestions and seemed well-aware of the inventory. He found answers for everything we had to ask if he didn't know them and was just overall down-to-earth. Great experience overall.

Very nice selection of furniture. Saleman (Brian) was very helpful. Bought a couch and coffee table. He carried a couch cushion around so the wife could get the right color coffee table to go with the couch and new carpet being installed.

Great store and great sales people! This store is massively beautiful so allow for at least an hour to get through it. My salesman Josh Landin knows his stuff and guided me to exactly what I was looking for. Was looking at some of those discount stock on hand stores and quickly learned it was wasted time. Got exactly the leather couches I wanted at a price that was more than fair. Nothing but good experiences all around.

Me and the girlfriend stopped in we where greeted at the door and where asked what brought us in and told the guy in the market for a new king bed with adjustable base he then brought us to Terry all the way in the back of the store he shook are hands asked what we wanted and he went to work knew every answer to our question’s he also explained all the different types of financing they offer needless to say we bought a bed. Terry T, if you see this thank you bud!

In-store buying experience was great, however the delivery, customer service, and damages has been a nightmare. We ordered a new table back in early March with 6 chairs and a bench. We were told we could pick it up instore on the following Monday. Got a box truck and arrived at the store on Monday to find out that it wasn't delivered, was told that they could deliver at no charge since it was their mistake. Arrived a week later, table and one chair was damaged. Called and set up an exchange for new table top and chair. Another week goes by, Table top arrives, however the chair again arrives damaged from shipping. Set up another exchange for a new chair, requested instore pick up since it's hard to take so much time off work to meet delivery. Customer service confirmed instore pick up. Called day before delivery was scheduled and confirmed it would arrive instore the next day for pick up. Husband calls a few hours later to say that it was delivered to the house and again was damaged. Called customer service and they gave us an option for another exchange (would be the third try) or 10% off damaged chair. We are almost 2 months from the date of purchase and are not taking more time off to meet the delivery or keep having to do exchanges so we accepted the 10% off to be done with it. Won't be back, went to HOM to purchase our living room set and it was a smooth, quick purchase, delivery and set up!

Terry Taylor was awesome in all qualities of customer service . He made sure I was satisfied with my purchase and that I understood the policies. I wish I had a money tree cause I’d go back yesterday to buy more furniture, it was an amazing store . Thanks to all.

My husband and I recently purchased a couch from this store. We love our couch, but our buying experience was quite stressful. My husband and I both work in sales and in customer service, and we were very disappointed in the management at this store. Our sales person that we were originally working with was so kind but very hard to get in touch with, as she works part time. She helped us the first day we were in, but when we tried to connect with her three other times, she wasn't there or available. Finally, the general manager helped us the day we bought our sectional and we paid the couch in full on the day we purchased. He told us the couch would be on-site on 4.11.23 for us to pick it up, so we coordinated time off work and friends to help us move it and a vehicle to borrow. We called on the day it was supposed to be at the store to make sure it was there before driving 30 minutes away and they said the couch wasn't there, with no explanation as to why. We asked if they would at least offer a free delivery for the inconvenience as this was the day we had all hands to help, and they wouldn't do anything for us. The manager we spoke with on the phone seemed confused and not confident, and hardly worked out a solution for us. The couch did not arrive until two days later, so we took additional time off work and had to coordinate help from friends and family again. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, especially when I work in customer service myself, we always bend over backwards for the customer. I don't feel as the management cared about us and the inconvenience they caused because we already paid it in full. I don't think we will be buying from here again unless the management has changed.

Justin Vander Berg was fantastic to work with. We were pretty difficult and indecisive and he gave us the space we needed to look around and talk about our options. He showed us many couches that were what we were looking for, until we found “the one”. I would definitely recommend, and will be coming back in the future.

Buy experience wasn’t bad. Didn’t get bad until the delivery part. First couch showed up with a huge tear in it, they went good on it. The next couch that showed up was good except the delivery guy. The senior guy had a new guy and while pulling the old couch out the young guy suggested they should take the feet off, but the senior guy refused to listen and said it would fit. Completely destroyed my brand new patio door. When confronted about it the senior guy put all the blame on the new guy. After making the claim it all seemed like they were going to go good for it, but now can’t ever get ahold of anyone and nobody from corporate will call back about it. It has now been almost 4 months and still not a clue what’s going on.

Jason in the warehouse of your Duluth store was very helpful and friendly. We were at the store a half hour before the warehouse was open to pick up our sofa, but Jason was already at work and was very willing to help us load our trailer so we could go home without waiting around. Great experience!

We needed a new mattress, so we checked out mattresses at the 4 main furniture stores in our area including Ashley. After going to each one twice, we decided on Ashley. They have a good selection of mattresses, and they sell the Stearns & Foster, which is the one we really liked the best. (One other place of the 4 we checked also sold Stearns & Foster). The store itself is inviting, well-lit, and has a good feel to it. The mattress area is properly-lit, so you’re not looking at bright lights when you try out mattresses. But besides the price we paid, the main reason we stayed with Ashley is the customer service we received. We worked with the Sleep Specialist Ray Drown, or should I say, he worked with us. Ray was friendly, easy-going and approachable. I think we were in there 4 times, and each time we were there, Ray answered all of our questions - giving us the information we needed to help with our decision, and we also learned a thing or two about mattresses along the way; he’s very knowledgeable about the many mattress choices. We completed the purchase process today, and our overall experience has been excellent.

My wife and I went in looking for a nursery recliner. Jerramy M. helped us out and he was awesome. He had great knowledge of the chairs and options and had great insight. We really appreciated that it felt like they were interested in getting us the chair that was right for us without being pushy. Great communication about the cost and options. I would 100% ask for Jerramy again and go back to Ashley next time I need furnature. The other furnature stores in tow should be taking notes.

I wanted to give them a 0 star, but since I have to give them at least a 1 star. I’ll say it’s because the young man helping me was trying to be helpful. The barstools had a price on them of $127, they also had a “all barstools are 2 for 1” well if you want 2 you do not get the same price as for 1. They will tell you that the $127 is only for financing price. However buying 1 without financing is $127. But if you want 2 then you pay a different price for the one. Talked to the manager “Russ” he said that’s the way it is. I didn’t have to do business there if I didn’t like it. So I will not.

Working with Brian and Ciara was the best experience I have ever had with buying new furniture. Brian was attentive and detailed. He gave me tons of information and made this a smooth experience. Ciara finished us up with financing and was very respectful and polite. Will be back!!!

Ray Drown is listed as a ‘Mattress Specialist’ on his business card and I can assure that that is an appropriate calling for him. We came in looking for a mattress, knowing we needed one but not knowing really what we needed. Ray was not the typical salesman in that he did not hover or pester; he waited in the background and listened as my wife and I talked to each other about what we wanted/needed. Only then did Ray approach and address what he could provide based on what he heard from us. Ray took what we wanted and explained how it would help us more than what we thought. He even upsold what we didn’t know we needed (wanted) and did it so seamlessly that it made sense; there was no undue pressure - we purchased what we wanted and once delivered we know it will be the exact fit for us. We recommend Ray and will be back to see him in the future.

Walked around the store after picking out the couch and our salesman Josh helped us refind it since we had walked around some more. He was super kind and helpful, even helped us find our couch again. He ordered the couch for us and it was expected a week later. He called only a couple of days later to say it arrived early! This was awesome and made us feel so relieved as we had a terrible time moving across country and everything was getting delayed for the prior 3 months. Getting an item *early* was unheard of for us since coming to Minnesota so the whole experience turned this move around for us. Nothing has happened as of yet but they also offer a warranty in case your couch gets damaged. Definitely going to be worth it if something happens

I have been shopping around for furniture for awhile now. The Ashley store just opened in Duluth, so of course I had to take a peek. I was really impressed with the inventory. The look and feel of the store was great, and what was even better was the help i received from Max. The customer service was some of the best I’ve had in my 56 years of life. Max gave me a tour of the store, gathered my interests and preferences and lead me in the direction I was hoping for. I’m a happy new furniture owner, and I have to give my thanks to your great employee Max!
