While searching for furniture for a new home, originally my significant other and I had gone to HOM. Like always, I mentioned to her that I often find myself dreading going to HOM, as they staff follow you around like vultures. Once we entered, of course that was the outcome and I was immediately put off. We went to Ashley and were greeted by Cody, who was the complete opposite of HOM. He asked us what we were looking for, showed us some furniture, gave us details, and then left us to look around and decide on our own. At no point was I pressured or felt annoyed by staff at a furniture store, which was a first. Cody was very knowledgeable and had answers to all of our questions. Again, I never felt as though Cody was hounding us through the store and told us to just find him if a decision was made. Cody made the purchase easy and, despite not being the closest Ashley store or furniture store in general to us, we will continue to purchase furniture here because of the atmosphere.

We went to Ashley Furniture in Elk River and Cody was amazing and extremely patient! We were there to get swivel rockers, end tables, and a living room rug. He looked up multiple options for me and was still rocking out excellent customer service! Ashley, Ashley's home designer also was great! I recently came to this store to check out their new clearance section in the old Joann Fabrics. Me and my daughter were looking around and checking out the couches as I need to purchase a new couch. I noticed no one was on that side of the store and some worker was just staring at us from the main side of the store. Shortly after a lady came and greeted us. She asked if I was over 18 in a way that seemed judgmental. Do you have to be over 18 to shop in this store? I’m 30 years old and had my daughter with me. We left shortly after that but don’t think I’ll be returning to this store. Lots of weird stares and glares when just looking around at the furniture.

John was very friendly and greeted me right away. Most people would see someone walking in the door wearing workout gear and brush them off. He followed through and helped me select 2 pieces that will be perfect for my home. Highly recommend!

Only shop here if you enjoy being lied to. First off, I stopped there before going to another furniture store that has free delivery. Should have just kept driving. A salesman named John Kiernan. He gave me the whole schpeel about the store layout. Then he left me so I could shop in peace, which I appreciated. I found a furniture set that I liked and John rang me up. He told me that there would be a $199 delivery fee. I asked about the free doorstep delivery advertised on Ashley's website. He said that they don't do that anymore. I thought that was odd and I hesitated but he assured me that the delivery included the haul away of our old couch, so I let it go. He ASSURED me that my old couch would be taken away. Well I got a call at work from my husband today that the in-house delivery crew said they do NOT haul away old furniture. I called John at the store and he told me that we have to go through their 3rd party vendor for the haul away. I asked if that was free. He said we would have to pay the guy $50 for him to take it. I pointed out that he told me it would be included in the delivery and that was one of the reasons I purchased from him. Long story short, the only thing he offered was to refund $50 of the delivery fee, just so we can pay this third party vendor. I told him not to bother. My husband was told by the delivery guy that the salespeople at Ashley and Furniture Mart lie all the time and tell people that. So there you have it, these people lie like rugs. I know I will never buy from them again. Sucks for them too because in the next year we will be buying another new couch and a couple of bedroom sets.

Had a great experience at Ashley Furniture in Elk River. We worked with both the manager Tanner and his trainee Chuck. Both were so friendly and eager to support while answering any questions we had. The second time I came in was to show my mom the 3 options I had picked out. Chuck walked with us answering questions as needed. He’s super friendly and approachable. Any questions we had that he didn’t know he was quick to go talk to his team and follow up. I brought my husband in that night to purchase. 10/10 recommend.

My wife and I had the most wonderful experience today. When Michelle at the Northtown Becker worked diligently to try to find 2 chairs to match, she was able to find something similar at Elk River location. She was amazingly patient and helpful. Tanner at Elk River was another great connection and personally worked with us to get us what we were looking for. He was knowledgeable, patient in answering questions, and explained a warranty option that was perfect for us. These two people were our best connections in sales we have had since the Covid epidemic!! Hats off to this duo today!!!

I had an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience with Nick in the mattress department. From the moment my girlfriend and I approached him, he made assumptions about us and treated us with clear bias. While assisting us, he was noticeably more engaged and respectful toward white customers who approached him, even pausing his conversation with us to offer them pillows to try out the beds—something he never offered us. It was obvious that we were not given the same level of service or respect, and it left us feeling unwelcome and undervalued as customers. No one should have to deal with discrimination when making a purchase. Ashley Furniture needs to address this kind of behavior immediately.

My husband and I went to Ashley's twice in one weekend. The first day to look around, and the second to purchase my dream reading chair that was on sale. The prices are high (for warning), but the quality of this chair was worth it in this instance, and their associate Kim Strak was amazing! She was loads of help, sweet, and even helped us get the piece straight off the floor and into our car, no hassle. She set us up with the warranty for the chair, which is also pricey, but it covered five years if the chair got damaged, with a refund for store credit on the warranty if we didn't use it. We are planning to go back for a bed set soon. Would definitely recommend this location for furniture if you're willing to invest in your furniture.

Tanner was so very patient with our sleep needs. We purchased a Purple it was just not right for us. He has the best customer service. He inquired about what we were sleeping on before we bought the purple and we let him know. We had purchased a bed from them maybe a 1 an half earlier the bed has a huge lump in it when we would lay down our calves and feet never even touched the mattress We waited patiently for the mattress to flatten out and it just never did. Therefore, we had to wait until we could purchase another bed. We couldn’t take it anymore so we purchased the purple and like I said it just wasn’t for us.Tanner let us know that there was a warranty on that bed that we did not know about, and he submitted A customer inquiry about that mattress. His patience in wanting us to get exactly what we needed. Not just a quick sale. I hope to once again experience, no more tossing and turning sleepless nights waking up sore from head to toe. Thank you for having the right person to do the job for the customer.

We didn't order anything that day due to the timing of our move, but he gave me his contact info to make it easy whenever we were ready (not pushy). When I was ready, I contacted Nick and he immediately responded and we made arrangements for me to come into the store. I was greeted by the same fun and energetic people at the front, and directed to Nick. Once Nick verified the order was correct, he helped load it into my car, and I was on my way. My husband and I had a great experience working with Tanner at Ashley Furniture in Elk River. We found a leather sectional we loved, but we both wanted to shop around before we pulled the trigger. We went to multiple other furniture stores, always keeping this sectional in the back of our minds. Tanner was extremely helpful through the entire process- answering any questions we had, getting us measurements, giving us space and time to make sure this was 'the one'- We never felt rushed or pressured to buy. After a few weeks of shopping around, we came back to Ashley to purchase our sectional. Tanner, again, was so helpful- setting us up with delivery and giving us care instructions to help keep our leather looking great down the road. It was a big purchase for us, but Tanner and Ashley Furniture made it a breeze. We will definitely be back.

Paul was amazing! Zero pressure, but he was on-the-spot if I had questions. He actually talked me out of a furniture set I thought was just OK and into another one based on my needs and, my goodness, this guy is good, because he found the perfect set for us. I’m the sort of person who hates being “sold” and equally find sales personnel sometimes to be out to sell a ketchup popsicle to a person in white gloves, but Paul was NOT that way ever. I would buy from him and Furniture Mart all day long, and I’ve been everywhere.

Service was good! Quality of the products is unpredictable. Sometimes garbage, sometimes durable. Just bought a couch today, so we will see about this specific item soon.

After having a horrible experience at a different furniture company I went right back to shopping at Furniture Mart where I had always had success! Terrible business practice. This location is a franchise so anything they tell you is useless at any other Ashley store. They’ll sell you a “protection” plan which is supposedly redeemable as in-store credit if it’s unused after 5 years. However, after that 5 YEAR wait - you have just 6mo before they pull the rug out.

Kim the associate was invaluable with my search for a living room set. Me and my daughter were there for almost 4 hours. We had two rooms that we were shopping for. Taking in consideration of the use for each room which textile would work best. Kim was so invaluable with her experience and her knowledge of the brand and the material. She made something so frustrating become manageable. She really gave you your time and she was not pushy as we all dread with typical sales people. Ashley furniture please take you have a true GEM with Kim. She adds value to your brand.

If I could give this company/location negative stars I would. Our sales guy Blake sold us on a couch in November and we were told 4 weeks until delivery. 6 weeks later we called to find out where the couch was and it was just sitting at the Fridley location. I ended up having to rent a trailer and go and get it myself. Got the couch home and it was missing several parts. Ashley sent out the wrong replacement parts 3 times. So they were going to replace the couch. I called them today to find out my replacement couch is sitting at the Fridley location for a month. No one has called me or anything. They asked me to go get it AGAIN!!! I was offered a $200 refund. I find that to be a kick to the face as I have now been without a couch for 5 months because of their continuous mess ups. This will be the last time I buy anything from Ashley Furniture. The customer service is awful and I feel disrespected as a customer.

Best experience we've ever had at a furniture retailer. I used to look at furniture stores like car dealerships: suspicious, shifty and over priced. Either the sales rep was too pushy trying to sell the most expensive piece of furniture they could find OR completely lost interest in our business when realizing we were looking for budget items. Eric was our salesman at the FurnitureMart in Elk River. He was phenomenal. My husband and I came in shopping for living room furniture. He saw us come in and greeted us very professionally. We informed him we knew what we were looking for and didn't need any assistance at the moment. He let us know where we could find him if we had any questions and allowed us to shop on our own. WE LOVED THIS APPROACH. This allowed us to take our time, look around, try different furniture and when we finally found the right set that suited us we went and found him. He was extremely helpful and this approach landed him this sale. We have literally walked out of furniture stores because of constant hounding by the salesman. More salesmen need to learn to follow this approach. We will certainly be back and hope Eric is our salesman again!

We shopped around and covered our basis at pretty much every furniture store in a 40 mile radius and ended up right back at Ashley. None of the other stores had inventory quality or selection remotely close to what they have at Ashley. The level of customer service does not even compare at any other store than the service we received from Eric Eck at Ashley. He made sure we found exactly what we wanted and was helpful every step of the way. Shop Ashley first, before anywhere else and you’ll save time and money.

My husband and I bought a couch set when we purchased a new home 3 years ago. The couches or the cushions, have been nothing but problematic. Basically our cushions don’t stay on the couch, they slide when you sit on them, the decorative stitching has come loose and needs to be cut off, the back cushions have thinned out and have been warped and the back cushions no longer fit well on the couch. We have contacted Ashley furniture several times to get replacements or get them fixed and they have not been helpful. They have told me I need to purchase new cushions when I was told it was all under my warranty and the guardian plan. They also said I’d have to pay for someone to come out and fix the stitching and restful the cushions which again I was told at the time of purchase that it was covered. I know I should have left a review sooner than 3 years but its to the point where we can enjoy our expensive couches.

I have had the best experience ever dialing with the Ashley Home Store in Elk River, MN. I purchased a sofa in December of 2021 and also purchased the protection plan that they offer for their products. The day after my delivery, I accidentally damaged the sofa. I contacted the protection plan people and they processed my claim and replaced the item. When I worked with the store manager, Andrew and the asst manager, Tanner, they were both extremely easy to work with and went the distance to help me and make sure the whole process was seamless! I would recommend this store to any and all of my friends. They are honest and extremely ethical in their business practices. Thank you guys for a wonderful and very easy experience!

Finding and buying a new mattress is not one of my favorite things to do, but Tanner made the experience a good one. He explained the differences between each type of mattress and gave us plenty of time to try out each one. He was very patient and never pressured us to hurry up and make a decision. Once we decided to go with the hybrid mattress he showed us the different types of bases. We chose the Tempurpedic ergo adjustable base. He told us it may take a few days or weeks to get used to the new mattress. After a week, we love our new mattress and adjustable base. This our 2nd time making a major purchase at this Ashley location and we keep coming back because of the excellent customer service and the fair pricing. Thank you Tanner!

I went into Ashley to look at and get information on a temperpedic bed. I was told from another salesperson that Tanner was the expert with mattress information. Tanner and I went back to the mattresses when Tanner told me he needed to help the guy that was before me that wanted to purchase matresses. That was fine. While I was telling Tanner what I was looking for, he was responding to 5 or 6 questions from front desk into his mouthpiece at the same time. Then he said he needed to go to front desk for a moment and he would be back to help me. I waited for 15 minutes and decided it was time to leave this store. I went to front desk, Tanner was sitting at front desk with another couple. I asked him for height measurements, Tanner wrote on his card and gave to me. His card said he was the assistant manager. Wow, if that’s the kind of customer service an assistant manager gives, I won’t be back. This was my first time in this store and it will be my last. This was very poor customer service. I didn’t find out much about the temperpedic mattresses and bases like I asked Tanner at our introduction.

Jim Hunnicutt was great in helping us pick out a new recliner. His knowledge in all different types of recliners made it easy. Nice experience.

Jim was great to work with - we were able to walk around the store on our own and he was able to help us when we found something we liked! It was nice that he gave us space to look around but didn't hover! I get so anxious making someone wait on me to make decisions! He was very knowledgeable and helpful in selections. Tanner also helped with mattresses and made that process easy as well. We have always been happy with all of our furniture from Ashley - and we will come back again.

If you go to Ashley furniture Elk River ask for Mark! He is awesome! We just bought a house and furnished 80% of it with Ashley products and we are very happy we did. I purchased a sectional in store with the help of Jim & Tanner. I realized the next day I didn't check the measurements to make sure it would fit in our small, awkwardly shaped living room. It took several phone calls, some measuring, and replacing the order for a different sectional, but I finally found one that would fit perfectly! Jim & Tanner kept their sense of humor throughout & were professional, friendly & patient from start to finish. They made sure I was happy with my purchase & made sure all my questions were answered. They even adjusted my total to reflect a lower sale price that was offered after I made the purchase, saving me $400! I highly suggest visiting Jim or Tanner if you're looking for furniture. They made the process fun & stress free. When things didn't go as planned, they were able to offer suggestions & sort it out quickly. Thanks again, guys!

My husband and I went in looking for a recliner for our nursery. Alonzo was a great help in finding the perfect one and we actually decided to buy two because it was such a fair price. During our trip, we also spoke with Tanner and decided to upgrade our bed as well. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped us narrow down the best option for us.

Ashley Furniture really took care of us due to delays on receiving our furniture. Covid really put a squeeze on the MFG of our sofa set, and Ashely really stepped up to offer us workable solutions. In particular, Tanner (our sales guy), went above and beyond to not only keep us notified often on the status of our order but to continually look for ways to speed things up. In the end, the wait proved to be too long, and Tanner went back to the drawing board in finding us a living room set that we would love AND that Ashley would in stock. We ended up finding a set that we liked, but Tanner knew that there was another more expensive LR set on the floor that we liked a bit more. Tanner was able to work it so that we were able to purchase that more desirable set at the price we paid for the original delayed set. That is true customer service. Tanner and Ashley have earned the right to my future business based on how well they handled a difficult situation. Thanks Ashley and Tanner!

I never rate a place based on 1 visit or experience but i'll make my first exception here. I spoke with Tanner yesterday about shopping around for bed frames for my kids. He was great about showing us where there stuff was and was not pushy at all but informative. We looked around and then went to look at other places. Ultimately we came back here to work with Tanner again and he really made sure that not only my wife and I were good with the purchase but really met our kids there too. He then connected us to Patrick to find the best mattresses for our kids. Patrick was just as knowledgeable and took the same amount of time and care to really help us meet our needs. These two have really made me think that good customer service really does still exist in some places. Thanks again!

My wife and I wanted to buy a sectional for our den and went Ashley's to take a look at what styles and prices were available in the market. When we entered the store we were greeted by Andrew Robinson and he was so helpful. I usually dread furniture shopping because some sales people seem too pushy, like they're fishing for a sale, but Andrew was perfect. He was around when we had questions, knowledgeable about the furniture, and most importantly knew when to give us space to think things through. We were able to find a sectional we loved and got a great price with no stress. It really was a no pressure environment and the best experience I could ask for when shopping for furniture. After our experience with Andrew I don't think I'll have to dread going furniture shopping in the future.

Had a great experience at thr Elk River Ashley Homestore. Needed a sofa and a loveseat. I was able to look through the entire store without anyone badgering me. As soon as I needed some help, Tanner was AMAZING. No pressure to buy anything more, super easy transaction and he was a pleasure to deal with!! I was literally in and out of the store within a half hour.. I was able to immediately go pick up my furniture from the Fridley warehouse without any issue at all. We have moved to a different house nearly two years ago and haven't had success finding the right set for our family room layout. We spoke with Andrew about our interests and he was optimistic that he just might have what we were looking for in his Elk River store. After a short introduction to the layout of the store and pointing out some features of items we had already been looking at, Andrew allowed us the space and time to comfortably evaluate the options and narrow our decision points. We hardly had to present our questions because Andrew's practical approach to the product description, manufacturer details, fabric and features checked all the boxes. Andrew was honest and forthright by informing us that many manufacturers were backordered and we would likely need to wait for delivery. We were in no hurry and just thrilled that we had found the options we were looking for. Many stores have displays, but not many have the knowledgeable staff that understand product use and the ability to provide peace of mind that you made the right choice with the right people. Thank you Andrew! We will be back to fill yet another corner.

After waiting almost 5 months for a couch we ordered from another furniture store, and another two months to go, we cancelled our order and walked into Ashley. We had worked with Tanner before so we were glad to see him that day. He was helpful and honest with their inventory and delivery dates and helped us choose the best option for what we were looking for. Our new couch will be available in less than a few days for us.... not several months. Go see Tanner today!

Shopping at the store was great! Then it’s been down hill ever since. Furniture delivered broken in June and still waiting for replacements. 3 months later. Whenever I call it’s coming “next week” well it’s been scheduled to come next week since the middle of August so I won’t hold my breath on it ever making it here. Time to return this stuff and shop elsewhere.

We must of sat on every couch in the place and she was so patient and then after we took up like half her day we left to look at other stores. We ended up coming back and she was extra fabulous the 2nd time round. She even helped us out when we were having scheduling problems with delivery. We walked in, and was greeted very friendly by Kelly Knese at the Elk River location. She explained all specials (%'s off and clearence) and left us to browse. After finding a kitchen table we liked- a lot, she ran our numbers, and came back, making us happy. We also we aware of the late shipping possibilities, as she explained that to us as well. Due to her customer service, the time frame of shipping didn't even matter!! It was 3 months, mind you. Kelly went above and beyond to make sure we got what we were looking for, and came through with finesse. We will definitely make Kelly our "go to" when shopping for our wants and needs. SHAMEFUL SERVICE!!! We worked with Assistant Store Manager, Andrew Robinson and found a couch we loved. We asked for a price match and Andrew was able to match the price. However, we were bummed to hear the product wouldn't be delivered until end of August/September so we decided it wasn't for us. Long story short, we recently returned to the store (approx. 1 week later) to purchase that couch. We asked for Andrew so he could get credit for the sale as he had helped us previously. He was not working that day, so we spoke with someone else and explained the price match and that we now want to buy. She said she'd give him a call and get back to us. She came back and told us Andrew said he would have NEVER matched to that price and had no idea who we were or recall that price match. This was extremely irritating to hear!! Awful customer service, Andrew Robinson and you should be ashamed of yourself!!! Happy to say we took our business elsewhere and couldn't be more thankful!! We will never return to Ashley or their partners, and will make sure friends and family don't either 👍

I was told my bed would be delivered 15 days after I purchased it which was completely fine because I understand the delay because of covid. The day comes and I only receive my mattresses. The delivery guys tell me it’s on backorder which isn’t possible since it was a floor model. Then the delivery people I called said the store never sent the bed to the warehouse for delivery. I call the store and am told that they sent it to the warehouse but they now had no idea where the bed is. 4 hours later I get a call saying they found the bed and will deliver it in 2 days. 2 days later I haven’t received the call for delivery and I called to find out what time it would be here, I’m then told that delivery isn’t set up for me and now they are saying it will be here in a week. Very unprofessional and no one knows what’s going on.

Very disappointed after my experience today at this location. (We were hesitant to return after multiple poor quality purchases a few years ago, but with COVID we wanted to look close to home.) Called and made an appointment-very ready to make a purchase for our living room. Was in there for 45min with one less than pleasant experience with an older male sales associate (he was also the one I talked to over the phone and had already thought on the phone that that conversation was not very professional). I indicated I needed further details on multiple pieces and had very detailed descriptions of what I was hoping to purchase. He never came back after he said “keep looking.” He did not once came back in those 45minutes but rather helped a woman (who came in at least 20min after me) who was purchasing decor. Very disappointed I even attempted to support this location. We will be taking our business elsewhere and not returning.

After having found my item online, but having an issue with the delivery process, I called the Elk River store and spoke with Andrew, the store manager. My issue was resolved- Great professional and friendly service! And bonus - my item will be with me much sooner than originally expected.

I ordered 2 recliners on a Black Friday deal. When I was paying for and the sales guy was getting my info I gave him my new phone number. He put it in the computer. He told me they should be in on that following Tuesday and I will get a call. Tuesday came and went no call. I called them on Friday, they were in. I looked at the bill of sale and my old phone number was on the slip so no wonder I didn’t get a call. Got them home, they weren’t rockers like the ad stated. I called and I was told it was a misprint but was told that the recliners were good ones being made in Wisconsin. The card board box that they came in clearly says made in Vietnam. I like the recliners and for the price you can’t beat them. Just a shame about the mixed-up stuff that happened. It seems most companies are this way now.

patrick and tanner made our time very enjoyable, both very pleasant - knowledgeable- informative.

Purchased an accent bench last week. The local folks were great. I do question the quality assurance on the corporate level. Opened the box today to put it together and there was no hardware. Such a simple thing to be overlooked. May I suggest a checklist or have an inspector check the box to make sure ALL needed parts are packed before shipping. No one apologized or seemed to care...instead I was left with the perception that this was business as usual. Got a refund, still need a bench, will spend my money where this detail will not be overlooked.
