This is one of the furniture stores that made me feel I do not belong there. I know me and my other roommates may look young but we are serious when it comes to looking for a couch in our price range making a comment “do i have to follow you around?” makes us feel not welcome and uncomfortable.

My husband and I came into Ashley looking for a new mattress, and we were greeted and helped right away by Mrs. Brooke! She was pleasant and helpful to all of our questions, and also gave us space so that we could negotiate and decide for ourselves. The entire experience was quick, easy and painless, and we definitely hope she is there when we go back!!!

Poor experience thus far. I purchased a media console in mid January and was told it would be ready for pickup within 2 weeks at the latest. I called to check on the status in mid February after not hearing anything and was told it was pushed back but would be in by the end of the month. Called back in early March, was told it would now be in by the end of March. Called back at the end of March and was told the shipment is coming sometime in April. Called back today and now am being told it will be May before it arrives. Since I purchased this media console I have made 3 separate purchases from HOM and Royal Star, including an entire custom living room set, and have already received them all. I would look elsewhere if you want furniture within the next several months, or communication regarding order delays.

When I went in I was greeted by Elizabeth Vargas who was very welcoming. She showed me around to where the bedframes I was wanting to look at were and help answer any questions I had. Elizabeth A Vargas was by far the best Assistant Manager/sales floor rep we’ve work with in the last month of shopping for our new home. And we’ve gone to 4 different Ashley’s furniture, 3 bobs furniture, 3 slumberland’s, and 2 beckets. She was so patient and willing to take the extra step in helping us find what we wanted. I never felt rushed or expected to make a purchase. She even encouraged if we found something at another Ashley location that we can purchase it through the sales person there, where other Ashley’s when asked where we live they would say they could order it though their location and ship to our house. I would definitely recommend if there’s anyone to work with at this Maplewood location, ask for Elizabeth!

I was super excited to finally purchase new furniture but I really was not looking forward to going through the process if I am being honest. That all changed after calling the store and speaking with Liz! We eventually met and she was very personable, attentive and not at all aggressive. She allowed me to ask a ton of questions, take my time and call the shots. Done, sold! Bee later helped me sort out the billing stuff and we had a fun little chat as well! Super friendly and knowledgeable. Bee made that part a breeze as well! Everyone I met at this location was friendly and respectful. The store was very clean and I felt well displayed. I will definitely bring my business back here and will recommend to others☺️

The experience at Ashley Home Furniture in Maplewood was a great experience. Stepped foot in the door and had a sales representative (Mike Rufener) walk right up to us to see if we needed any help. He walked us over to a few tables and gave us the time to decide and we also found a beautiful recliner. After deciding on the table Mike was there to get our paperwork done and out the door. My experience on pick up was also great and was in and out within 10mins.

It's rare that you walk out of a furniture store, or really ANY store, raving with your wife about the customer service. And this is despite the fact that they were so busy (30 minutes from closing on a Friday) that we had to wait a bit. When the Store Manager, Mike, was able to help us, we joked that we had a really unique need that might be a challenging one and Mike grinned. He seemed to really enjoy a challenge and went very much above and beyond to meet our needs. The Assistant Manager, Elizabeth, also kept us entertained as Mike worked through our issue. I can't express enough how phenomenal the service is at this store. We went to several other Ashley stores before this and got nowhere near the service. Mike had an attitude that figuring out our issue was a the most important thing in the world. We will be back and tell everyone we know to shop here for furniture. Thank you!!!

She was friendly and had very good knowledge of the store and where everything was. She helped us with the locations of the items we were looking for and then left us to look at the furniture if we had questions she was not far but we were allowed to look around and try out the different styles and such of the furniture. We had a couple of questions and Brooke helped us with those and gave us a quote on the items we liked. It was only the first place we went. So we told her we just wanted to check out a few other places. We did and were not as impressed with the selection or the professionalism as were were given at Ashley. So we decided to go back to Ashley and purchase all my items. Brooke again helped us with the final sale as well as setting up delivery. I can not wait to get my new furniture and thankful for all the help and patience we got at Ashley. Thank you Brooke! Keep up the good work!

I bought a sectional from Ashley a little less than 3 years ago and 3 out of the 5 cushions have already torn and aren’t usable. When I tried to speak with the online chat they told me there was nothing they could do as the model had been discontinued. So the $1500 couch they sold me only lasted less than 3 years and they have no way to remedy it.

OMG! I am so excited for our new furniture! We had our whole house planned with furniture with Sams Club because usually they have the best price and a really good product. Although, we were leery to buy a couch we hadn’t sit on before we bought it. Just imaging trying to return a couch was too stressful for me lol. We are so fortunate to have made Ashley our first stop. We worked with Jolene, at the Ashley furniture store in Maplewood and were absolutely thrilled with our experience working with her. I had a wonderful experience buying my furniture at Ashley! Elizabeth Vargas was my consultant and she was friendly, patient knowledgeable and fun! There was NEVER any pressure and I loved that! From my first visit where she answered all my questions and provided a quote, but then didn’t hover while I looked. She understood I was just there to look and gather some information. At other stores I was literally followed around and it’s frustrating when you just want to look. It took me a while to make my final decision because it was a large expense for me and she was understanding and just patiently kept in touch and never rushed me. Jolene has helped me for multiple days now and has nothing but amazing! I’ve been coming in for the past few weeks just to look around since I knew I would be moving in a few weeks and desperately needed furniture. Jolene was there and brought me to patterns and styles that I didn’t even knew that I wanted! Each time that I came in wanting something different, she remembered what we looked at last time so she was able to compare prices and my previous thoughts of the item as well, never have had that service before. Finally, today I went out and bought the piece that we wanted after saving some money for it, just to find out that Jolene was able to knock a few dollars off because of a sale going on that we did not know about previously. Nothing but thankful for that woman, and very glad to have worked with her the multiple times I stopped by.

I walked in looking for an office chair / gaming chair for my desk. I was very politely greeted by Chris who showed me the chairs that they had in stock. He was very helpful throughout the entire process. I had some payment issues so I left and came back shortly after. Chris was busy assisting another customer so Elizabeth assisted me in the rest of the check out process, she was extremely polite and helpful for the short process. I can’t praise them more, they are amazing. Ps. They both deserve a raise.
Chis and Elizabeth were both friendly and helpful. I was just on an investigation trip (with no intentions to buy yet) and they both didn’t mind and gave me a lot of attention and asked me questions to help me find something I’m looking for (and to make sure it will be physically possible to get the couch into my home). Plus they went above and beyond when I came after the store closed (they were leaving and about to drive away) and needed to get back in because I accidentally left my phone in the store. Great customer service those two!!

I recently purchased a couch from this store, actually it's called a chaise lounge. It's a gorgeous couch, very comfortable and unique in my opinion. All of my communication was with Elizabeth V. I have only had this couch for two years.. the pass year of 2021 we have been playing a game of send me more pictures of your couch and the service people will get in touch with you. (Pictures sent). Now its 2022 and there still playing this game of send me the pictures of the couch and a service member will give me a call. They never called and no follow up once so ever. Seem like ashley furniture has a reputation of bad service after you buy there products. They get there sale and kick you to the curb. Are you waiting for my warranty to expire? Seem like thats the hit ashley furniture is giving me. Postponing there service to five years later so they do not have to do anything. Wasteful money on the warranty and there products. [ DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY ] Snakes in the grass. Now I see why there parking lot is always empty..

We weren't too sure what we wanted but we were greeted right away by a sales consultant named Serena. She was wonderful and knew her store like the back of her hand! We stopped in early November 2021 just to browse and ended up buying an entire new living room set. The sales team was wonderfully helpful for my multitude of questions, and no pressure while we needed time to weigh our options. Mary Wallace helped us in store, and she was amazing (and had great looking nails too! We chatted quite a bit while deciding). She helped us figure out all the sale pricing, helped set up all of our financing with ease, and ensured we would get deliveries as the pieces arrived. We received the last of our furniture on new years eve, and the delivery crew was just as great. They sent enough people for the job, were kind enough to remove shoes without me even asking, and put the furniture exactly where I asked. They were so quick with it all too, it felt instant! Loving the furniture so far, quality seems to be spot on. Looking forward to enjoying this set for years to come!

She helped us look through all our options as well as listen to all our requests and concerns. She was also very knowledgeable and respectful when answering any of the questions we had. We were able to get all the furnitures we wanted with ease. I encourage you to buy your furnitures at this location and if you get lucky, you might just get Brooke as your sales associate and have an amazing experience yourself.

First off, the sales guy we worked with was awesome! Great personality and very helpful. This review shouldn't reflect on the sales team. The furniture we spent nearly 1,700 bucks on turned out to be complete garbage and has been basically falling apart. We spent extra money for a warranty through Ashley. That is the worst part. When the material started ripping there was one associate that sent one replacement cushion cover out. We had to call back when it the rest started falling apart. They said a tech would have to come out and repair it.. We called six times, left messages and got nothing. When I went into the store to tell the customer service personnel, one of them was cordial and the other one had a horrible, smug attitude. There are way better places to spend your money. Please do yourself a favor and don't go here!

Me and my family had a very enjoyable visit. After a bit of searching, Aimee reached out to help us along the way to help us find what we were looking for. She presented us with nice options so we weren't stuck and was very nice.

We bought a dining room table set for our new house and we love it! We worked with Brooke Pyle who was super helpful and price matched to their website so we got a great deal. Delivery was really fast, within a couple days of us ordering the set. We will be back to buy a new couch!

I had a pretty bad experience with this store. First off the woman that helped me buy a couch wasn’t the greatest. She messed up my info, she put her name on the order instead of mine and my billing address (witch is in Wisconsin) instead of my shipping address so when the delivery guy called me he was mad and I had to explain that was the incorrect address. She also was texting on her phone while she was checking me out. On top of that, the seemed to be manger was not wearing a face mask while training other employees who were also not wearing face masks. When it came to the delivery, the guy called me a few hours after I purchased the couch and said they will get it to me that day, later that day they said they are not going to be able to deliver till tomorrow and then they pushed it back another day. then asked for a %50 TIP!! of $119. Rude and unprofessional service.

I've been in the process of re-decorating for 3 months. It's not easy finding just the right furniture, especially during COVID and the OUT OF STOCK issues! Not easy until I went to Ashley HomeStore in Maplewood and had the assistance of Jamari Garrett. He listened to me and offered excellent suggestions for just the right furniture and accents! I'll be returning in a couple days to finish up to complete both living and dining areas! Kudos to Jamari! Ask for him!
Would give 0 stars if possible. We have bought a few items from this store in the past and had good experiences. This time we were in the market for a new bedroom set. My husband walked in, passed 4 different associates and not one acknowledged or greeted him. Unfortunately we will be taking our business elsewhere.
Jamari G took the time to help us even though when we got there it was almost closing time. The next day he got the info we needed to place a special order and helped us take care of it. A little disappointed in having to wait 2 months to get it but we understand with covid production everywhere has been hit.
Aimee provided excellent service. She was very knowledgeable, helpful, polite and very enjoyable to work with. Even remembered us when we came back the next day to add to our purchase.
I came in yesterday and It appears your sales people on Sundays are not the greatest. Was willing to pay cash ($1699/full sale price) for a display model parchment sectional couch due to it being back ordered until December. First he was dishonest that in store they were beating the online price but it’s $1699 on website and $2000 is the lowest he said he could go so instantly that was a turn off. Then we were told it takes too long and is too difficult to fill the couches space if we were to purchase the display model. Hire someone who cares more about making a sale instead of their football games.

Without knowing much about my home, she was able to provide recommendations on the size and type of furniture that would work best for me. Delivery was on prompt and professional. The men who moved and assembled my furniture were kind and efficient. Covid note: the delivery people wore masks and provided top notch customer service while maintaining space from me. My experience at Ashley Furniture - Maplewood was a great one. Aimee was fantastic over the phone and in-person! She gives you her time and day, unlike other salespeople who try to juggle multiple customers at the same time. I called checking if they had a piece I was interested in and if it went with another item I had previously bought from Ashley Furniture - when I arrived, she put the two pieces together so I can visualize. I cannot say enough good things about Aimee and this location. All the items I was interested in were in-stock AND shipped literally the following week. No ridiculous wait times like their online site and other Ashley Furniture locations. Any issues with the furniture were promptly addressed. Definitely coming back to Ashley Furniture - Maplewood for more furnishings. Thanks Aimee for the 5-star customer service!

Horrible. I’m still waiting on the delivery of my coffee table that I ordered the beginning of last month. Every time I call in to get an update they will tell me different answers or “any day now”. It’s been two months now and this is just ridiculous! Don’t tell a customer that you will call them with an update but fail to do so.

Will never shop here again. Tried to purchase a 3 piece sectional that measured perfectly for my space, but the salesman didn't order us the correct left/right facing pieces. A full 6 weeks later we get a couch that doesn't fit our space. Called the salesman and he told us he ordered the correct set but it would probably be another 6 weeks. So 7 weeks later, after not hearing anything, I call back to learn the salesman didn't work there anymore and didn't order us the couch. So now, 6 weeks after actually getting the correct pieces ordered, they say they won't take the couch back yet because of COVID-19 concerns. But they're still delivering furniture, so how does that make any sense? Regardless, I STILL DONT HAVE A COUCH I BOUGHT BACK IN DECEMBER AND THEY CAN'T TELL ME WHEN I WILL ACTUALLY GET IT. I am so tired of dealing with them.
My shopping experience seemed to be with a newer employee, was nothing too unusual. Nobody treated us badly... as we were checking out with our $550 kitchen table, I became very irritated at how I was asked repeatedly, after saying no, 4, 5 or 6 times to the extended warranty plan....kept asking me to spend another $169. And now I have this kitchen table that has been gently used by 2 respectful adults, eating at it maybe 2x a week since February 2019-- today is Nov 9th 2019. It is so dented, dinged and damaged; one of the chair backs is actually notably broken. We DID assemble it properly. I'm humiliated I let my family buy this as a gift for our new home. I thought it would be ok for almost $600. No one treated me badly, and even the warehouse was super friendly at our pick up... but I shouldve become suspicious when the person closing our sale offered the warranty so many times. I couldn't afford almost $700 at the time. Would absolutely love if someone made this right...
We experienced some extremely shady sales staff along with a sub par product. For some reason, with online purchases, they give you a 120 day return policy on mattresses. Ashley’s website says that you must use the bed for 30 days before returning “to let your body bond with the bed”. We were assured by Craig, the mattress salesman that we would be able to return the mattress if we didn’t like it within a 120 day timeframe. I called and asked if we could return our mattress and pick out a different one. Apparently, if you purchase from the store there is no such thing. No returns, no exchanges, no refunds. Of course, it’s printed in size 4 font at the bottom of the receipt which he obviously lied about. Instead of being met with a friendly customer representative, I was met with Craig, the mattress salesman in Maplewood who was very rude. Because of the terrible customer representation from Craig and ancient mattress return policy, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
Everything was going fine until my delivery was late and the °°°°Customer Service was so bad°°°° Told me that she don't care how long I'm waiting!.. A disrespectful way to answer a customer who bought alot of them and was welling to buy more! But not anymore..

The love seat was delivered 9 weeks and 2 days after it was ordered. The people delivering it were top notch. They had it all set up and placed where I wanted it and made shure everything worked good.The love seat is a great addition to me place. it is nice to only have to push a button the recline and not have to push it to whether you want it.Hats off the Ashley Furniture for quality furniture!!!!
My husband and I went to the store looking to buy couches and what do you know we got Moe Couch! He was the best salesman! He was very helpful, friendly and was not pushy at all! Worst experience EVER! I ordered a bed from them, and they shipped 2 left sides of the headboard, which means no part of the bed can be assembled, but okay, honest mistake. I call the store I purchased from, they could care less. Passed me off to a "customer service" number, where they care about as much as the store. I mean they already have my money, so why do they care?? Customer service tells me they will ship the correct part, should arrive in 2-4 weeks, call in 2-4 weeks, they tell me it will be 6-8 weeks. FINALLY when I call again, they tell me, the part has arrived at the store (mind you nobody bothered to call me and let me know this). They send a guy over with the part, and guess what? ANOTHER LEFT side to the headboard, now I have 3 left sides and no right side to construct the bed. Another call to "customer service" and again, they don't seem to care but will order me the right part, at this point you would think they would offer to rush or expedite the part, but no, it is now 3 weeks later, still no part, and "customer service" says it will be about 6-8 weeks! Also on top of all that, when they delivered my living room furniture the delivery guys gauged, scratched and banged up the door jamb in my brand new house so badly that they had to send out a contractor to fix it! Short story long, HOPEFULLY everything goes right with your purchase, if not, you're screwed. Worst furniture shopping experience EVER. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ASHLEY AGAIN!
My brother and I visited this store. Right as we walked in we were greeted by Moe Couch. He was very friendly and asked if we needed assistance with anything. After we told him that we were looking for a dining room table set, he asked us what kind we were looking for (regular height vs counter height) and quickly showed us some models and let us browse the store to see if we would find one we loved. After browsing the store, he immediately came back up to us and helped us go through the purchase process. He is very knowledgeable about Ashley products and is one of the nicest salesmen I have met. He also doesn't apply any pressure on sales, he just gives you honest information. I highly recommend talking to Moe if you are shopping at Ashley Furniture in Maplewood.
Had a great experience at this location; the service was excellent (Moe was a great help, and has definitely made a repeat customer out of me in the future), and got a good deal on a couch, and coffee table set!
Came in yesterday looking for a new mattress as the one I have is going out, was greeted by two gentlemen, Joel and Eric I believe, the two were extremely helpful in assisting me find the right mattress. I didnt purchase that day though cause I have to talk to the misses and make sure she likes what we decided on too but I will for sure be back to make a purchase from them! Absolutely amazing job guys! Cant wait to come back!
We spent one and a half hours going through the store. We weren't even greeted or acknowledged one time through our entire visit it was unbelievable. There was only one other couple in the store, and at least four employees one was just playing on their phone one at least looked up and looked away they obviously don't make commission looks like Hom will be furnishing our new home!!
Furniture in a damaged box, could not open to investigate condition, no recourse because of special order material.Even the person working the store said the box was in bad shape. Manager refused. Paid in full so no option but to take, corporate contacted. Ongoing issue, but will never make another purchase there.

When I read about the delivery comment down here I start to worry about my delivery. Here is what happened. This is my account on YouTube, Tong Thao, but my name is actually Ye Yang on the store account or as a customer. I ordered a full set sofa/couch and a full set of dining table & chairs on March 31th of 2019. It costs me almost $4, 000 and took this store a month and half to get everything in ready. Now it comes to the delivery time, that is the problem. May 16th, is my delivery date, I asked them to deliver after 12pm or in the afternoon because I’m out of state for business and will be back in town around noon, plan landing at 11:45am that day but the store representatives said they don’t control the delivery. I told them, I don’t ask much but just delivery to me in the afternoon. I don’t know why it took them a month and half to get stuffs ready but I only ask for couple hours and it seems like too much trouble to this store. Kortez, Sale rep, told me it should be delivered to me either on the 7th or 11th but it didn’t and as for now I’m out of town for business meeting. Plus, they said there will be someone to call me today but it was only a computer that called me so I didn’t get a chance to talk about the schedule or time at all. This is a horrible service. If I don’t get it delivers in the afternoon then I’ll file a complaint to the store. I definitely will do that. For the store owner, I’m sure you have a to reach out to me. Big but too old fashioned furniture for MY taste.
Terrible service in the mattress department. I stopped by twice and had the worst experience with both men. It seemed like they didn’t care and hardly helped. On top of that they kept trying to push me to buy products I didn’t want! I went across the street and bought one and will never be back.

After waiting 6 weeks for delivery I found out that Eric order the wrong piece for the bed I ordered. Now I’ve gone on a wild goose chase to different locations trying to get this piece.

I had ordered a sectional online (which is misleading in their dimensions and doorway measurements) and i had it delivered December 22nd. Well, the couch couldn’t fit through the doorway and i was left furniture-less 3 days before Christmas. Furniture Mart (Ashley is their subsidiary) suggested i call the nearest home store for assistance. I did and ended up speaking to Ginifer who was a godsend and my Christmas miracle. I explained to her the situation and she helped me order another couch set that was in stock at a local warehouse AND had a 3rd party delivery service deliver the couches for me the very next day. One of the sofas did end up damaged from delivery but furniture mart is going to exchange it at no cost to me. I was completely blown away from her great service and a lot of these other companies need someone like Ginifer working for them.
Went and bought two chest dressers from Ashely in Maplewood recently. Overall not bad had two sales people approach me to tell me about their “flash” sale but they left me alone to shop until I was ready to purchase. I paid for the assembly which when I picked them up at the store they were still crated. (Not sure what I paid for but regardless it was better than seeing two small boxes with a bunch of little pieces). Note they applied the assembly fee of $40 to cover both pieces. The warehouse even opened the door early the day of pick up because they were already there. That is a sign of caring about customer needs.
Horrible customer service. We purchased a sectional couch which had an arm cave in the day we received it and creaks any time you move. Also have a bed set and living room set that has a varnish that easily chips, and melts if you put any warm item on it. Also had a king bed set that didn’t contain the correct pieces. All of the furniture we purchased from them took over a month to show up at their warehouse. Every time we called to see when our furniture was going to show up they would give us a different day and we were given an attitude for having the audacity to complain. I would highly recommend shopping somewhere else, they clearly don’t care about their customers.
