When I first entered the store I met the Leprechaun and he was so nice and friendly, I told him a bit about what I was looking for and he showed me options on the showroom floor. He was polite, personable, knowledgeable and a great guide. I ended up purchasing a table and chairs that I really liked. Happy with the furniture and loved the salesman, but delivery was way too many issues.
Very dissatisfied with customer service. I purchased insurance at the store when I bought a sofa and loveseat set. My loveseat had an accidental tear and the insurance company gave me the exact amount I paid for it in store credit to get another one. However, the loveseat was discontinued and I could not get one to match my sofa. I decided to keep the loveseat with the tear and use the credit to buy a bed and mattress for my grandson. We purchased the bed and were given a quote. A few days later we were called to schedule delivery and was told I owed more money because they didn't include all the parts needed for the bed. I called the customer service desk and they said they couldn't help me without my invoice number (I was on my car phone and didn't have it) I asked why they couldn't look it up because they called me to say what I owed? They hung up on me. So, I went to the store and paid the extra 250. Plus 99. For delivery. The day before delivery I got a call that they could not deliver it because the parts were in 2 different warehouses and they would call back in a couple weeks to schedule. They never called after 2 weeks, so I called, and they said everything was ready. (Why they didn't call me is another issue) but they said the mattress was in the store so I had to pick it up and I owed 600. Dollars! I was very upset and waited until I got home from work and had the paperwork in front of me with all the information showing I owed nothing. I called back again and spoke to a different person who kept putting me on hold, then finally said I was all set. The only good experience was the Delivery men who assembled and delivered the bed. They were very professional, and the furniture insurance company which is an outside company. I will never again go to this Furniture store.

I took my 85 year old mom to purchase a bed. We went yo Salem NH to Ashley’s. We were greeted by a warm and lovely salesperson who was more than patient. She took her time and made my mom feel at ease. Annette took her time showing us every option and the whole process was seamless. We’ll go back again. The store is beautiful and what’s not available or in stock, there are more options online. In a world where we do more shopping on line we don’t get the personal experience and satisfaction of shopping in person. Thank you Annette and Ashley’s Furniture for making us feel welcome and taking the time and not rushing us.

To make a long story short..my son ordered me a bureau to match the rest of the bedroom set I had bought from Ashley,as a Christmas present…it came totally distroyed, top lifted off drawers unusable! The store, especially, Amherst and some at Salem were EXTREMELY EXTREMELY RUDE to my son..he went back and forth a lot and they were NASTY to him!!!! WOULD NEVER WALK IN THAT STORE AGAIN AND WILL MAKE SURE I TELL EVERYONE NOT TO GO THERE. YOU DON’T EVEN COME CLOSE TO JORDANS’ stores…they are wonderful!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!

On 11/24/24, my mother purchased a dining set for me and my kids as a Christmas gift. It was scheduled to be delivered 12/14. 12/15, we opened the box to assemble the set and noticed a dent on one corner. If this was an amazon table, I wouldn't have cared, but my mother paid a lot for this table, so I called to let Ashley Furniture know about the damage. Three days later, we got a call back to let us know they would send someone to look to see if it can be repaired or if it would need to be replaced. A week goes by without a call, so I call them. Now the story is they are going to replace the table but it's on back order with no estimated time of delivery. I requested a refund and was told that it is not possible since it's past 72 hours, I pointed out it is past 72 hours because they delayed in getting back to me. I called within 18 hours. I asked if I could exchange the table for an in stock one since we needed this for Christmas dinner - no, they couldn't do that. 1/3/25 received a call to schedule delivery finally. I ask for free assembly for 2 reasons - 1) I want to make sure this replacement table isn't damaged as well so it makes sense for their employees to put it together to check 2) I feel it is a reasonable compensation for the hassle this company has put us through. Now, they can't schedule the delivery since they need to make note of my request and see if it gets approved. For the prices of their furniture, you would expect better customer service. Especially when this was not a consumer error. I delivered a damaged set, and instead of immediately trying to right the situation after explaining the need for the table, I was given the run around. Horrible service! Save your time and energy by shopping somewhere else!
Would give -5 stars if able . I knew what I wanted so I didn't have to waste my time wading through the beige and grey of the store ( color choices, can we get some back?) . Made all the measurements and know that the house I'm in that was built in the 1800's that this set was going to fit not exactly the first set of furniture in this house and a heavy Broyhil bedroom set that the dresser alone is 3/4 the size of the couch in fact it's the size of the loveseat of this particular set i bought out I'm blonde not stupid. Saturday 12/28/24 was the delivery day and the " men" neither of them understood anything I was saying or chose not to understand since there is a difference I've worked with enough people and in retail long enough to know that.Nor would the delivery coordinator switch to English so I could speak to him about the delivery. I don't care where people are from but make sure the people in charge can speak to everyone 🤷🏼♀️ just a thought. Now these 2 men were half my size and I'm 5'8 . They got it up to the door got it maybe 2 inches into the doorway and decided it couldn't go up the stairs. All the needed to be done was a shelf needed to be moved and they refused to let me move it out of the way so they had enough room to pivot the couch to get it up the stairwell. Called customer service line and that was a waste of time since they couldn't help me. Called the store took forever for someone to pick up the line and tried to say they were busy.... This lot at any given time only has employees cars in it. Jeff who I spoke to said he'd be monitoring the order and would call me when it was scanned in so I could come in and get my refund. Guess who didn't call ? I had to only to find out it was done first thing that morning. Here it is almost a week later and I'm still waiting for my money to be returned and I used a debit card. Not a single person cared about this sale and how badly the delivery went. But elsewhere like I am. Couch in a box is a better more affordable option

I had a very disappointing, frustrating, and stressful experience with Ashley Furniture and would not recommend them. First, I purchased a bedroom set that included a dresser with a mirror, but on the day of delivery, the dresser arrived without the mirror. No explanation or solution was provided at the time. I also bought a few bar stools, and when they arrived, the leather was damaged all over. When I contacted the seller, he was unhelpful and acted like it wasn’t his problem, directing me to call customer service instead. Unfortunately, customer service wasn’t helpful either, and they told me to go back to the store. I ended up returning to the store with the damaged bar stools and explained the entire situation. After much back and forth, they finally agreed to refund what I paid since they didn’t have any replacements in stock. The overall experience was stressful, and the lack of accountability and poor customer service made it clear that Ashley Furniture doesn’t prioritize its customers. I will not be shopping here again.

A few minutes later he found us the perfect couches. Our couches were just delivered yesterday and we couldn’t be happier with our purchase. Thanks again Leith!
Was so excited about the purchase of a great new mattress and adjustable base about a month ago. Initial service in-store was fantastic and the delivery was scheduled promptly. Unfortunately, the delivery came with a missing component. Over a month has passed and after 12+ hours of phone calls and several scheduled deliveries (only to be cancelled last minute on their end), we are STILL waiting for a delivery date. We have been offered zero compensation, including that for delivery fees, and now have a $3000 mattress/adjustable base combo we are expected to begin payments on, when we still do not have the item in our possession. May I add that our household has taken now two days off of work to accommodate delivery scheduling, then to have the delivery cancelled with no notice after hours of waiting around. I really wanted to share about a great experience here but we are shocked and disappointed with this purchase. Looking forward to a solution, hopefully soon.

My elderly parents were purchasing a sofa for me as an early Christmas gift. I had family coming for Thanksgiving from out of town and was eager to have a new sofa. Even after giving the salesman the measurements, the sofa didn't fit in my home. Ashley hires UNINSURED delivery guys. My home was damaged in multiple areas as these men tried to push the sofa through the door ways, my front door was cracked, my wood floors were scratched and the door frames have paint & wood chipped off in multiple areas (photos will be uploaded soon) We were promised the situation would be resolved before the holiday. We called 8 times and left three messages over the next week and nobody returned our call. My sister and her daughter had to get a hotel as I was left with no sofa even after being promised this would be resolved before Thanksgiving. My parents, who are in their 70s drove almost an hour to the store to speak with someone as we couldn't get a hold of anyone. Obie, the manager, screamed at my elderly mother & father. He stood over them and was pointing his finger at them after my parents expressed all their frustrations, concerns, the damages & our experience. Obie told them to "do what you have to do" and walked away. Absolutely disgusting behaviour! They were so shaken up when they left. Nobody cared about what happened, the damages that occurred etc. Our family had been buying from them for over 10 years. I would leave zero stars if possible. Corporate was no help either as each store is individually owned..it was a nightmare. If your looking for good customer service, follow through and professional sales people, stay away from Ashley Furniture. Jeff (the other manager)& Obie should be ashamed of how the situation was handled.
Overall great experience at Ashley. Our sales person, Marwan was attentive without being assertive. Knew the products & took the time to map out the sectional to get us accurate sizing which was important to us. Would recommend shopping at the Salem, NH store & make sure to ask for Marwan.
We went in to look for new mattresses for my boys. Leith Sukkar was assigned to help us. He was very patient while my kids were testing every single mattress in the showroom. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the level of customer service I have received from Ashley’s Furniture. Despite multiple attempts starting in June of 2023 to resolve an issue related to my purchase, I have encountered numerous problems that have yet to be addressed satisfactorily. 1. Poor Customer Service: I have repeatedly reached out to your customer service team regarding my furniture warranty, but no one has returned my calls or emails. This lack of communication is unacceptable and has caused significant frustration and inconvenience. 2. Warranty Problems: There has been a significant issue with the warranty that was supposed to cover the furniture I purchased. When I attempted to utilize the warranty, I was given conflicting information and denied the coverage that was clearly outlined at the time of purchase. This has left me feeling deceived and disappointed with your company. I would not recommend Ashley’s Furniture.
We had purchased the 5 year protection plan on our first purchase. About 6 months ago we had made a claim and Ashley delivered. We received a full credit and returned to make an additional purchase along with the replacement. Working with Ricardo Heredia was effortless as well as pleasant. He answered all our questions, made some great suggestions and helped us with the warranty credit. This is my 3rd purchase from Ashley and we will not shop anywhere else. Customer service along with pricing makes a great experience. Highly Recommend Ashly as well as Ricardo!!!

Buying the couch was an easy process. It was after they got my money when the issues started. My couch was delivered and the delivery men rushed as fast as they could to get the couch in and assembled (which is a service you pay extra for). They screwed the legs to my ottoman on crooked and they ripped the material on my couch coming through the door by pushing it through the doorway. When I called customer care they said it would take a week to receive a call back (which it did). The gentleman said he had to call the warehouse and put me on hold. When he came back he told me no one answered so they would call me back in 72 hours. This was on a Friday. I did not receive a call back until the following Thursday. To which the gentle said he had to call the warehouse and told me they did not answer and someone would call me back in 72 hours. I told him I was already told this. He said he would escalate my issue. No one called me back so I called them the following Tuesday. I was told the warehouse was already closed for the day. It has now been 3 weeks and for some reason the warehouse is always closed or they do not answer. They took my $3,000 but can’t resolve getting me a replacement for their sloppy work. This is beyond unacceptable at this point. I will never purchase from this establishment again. I now have to wait another “72 hours” to hear from someone. Please, STAY AWAY! Read previous comments from other customers too. Is REAL.The materials used on these furniture are of absolute low quality, and deteriorate with light usage. I have purchased many different kinds of furniture over the years to be left disappointed and dissatisfied. The store also has new ownership and they don’t care about customer service. If you ever have a problem; good luck on finding anybody to talk to. Lastly, don’t waste your money buying the “Furniture Insurance” is a SCAM!!! Just another reason to make you spend more money. All of the starts in the sky have to align in order to get a claim approved for poor quality materials braking down on you. Stay away!!!

Update: It has been 2 months and we still have no bed put together. The wrong parts have been sent 5 times. I hate to write a “bad” review, but we have been let down. I am not trying to be mean about this. I do want to provide constructive feedback. We have bought from Ashley furniture for years. Dining table, dining nook, bar stools, coffee and end tables, decor…you name it. We even purchased during the pandemic and though the wait was long, the quality was unmatched. It feels like quality control has gone downhill. We would certainly like to continue purchasing from Ashley again as they have been our go-to, but something needs to change…on the other hand, our experience at the Salem store has always been great. Very helpful sales representatives. We recently bought a couch and bedroom set. Communication was the first downfall. Ashley did not communicate that our items would be built for us on delivery day, so we already expected to put everything together on our own. However, the delivery men wouldn’t have been able to build our furniture completely anyways. Bedroom set was missing pieces and one part of the headboard was missing an attachment slot. Couch was damaged on delivery, but oh well. Things happen. We called and they sent us repair items and the missing pieces, but the pieces for the bed were incorrect. Some of the anchors were falling out as well so we couldn’t even put in the screws. Waiting on a repairman to come and fix up the couch. So, it’s been about 2-3 weeks and my husband and I are without a finished bed. The pieces are all beautiful, but it’s upsetting we’ve been building weekend after weekend with no furniture to enjoy.

Sales people are way too aggressive and follow you around the store. I asked her for space to look around, but she kept following and telling me information I wasn't asking for. I felt pressured to buy something and stalked to the point where I left and immediately went to Bob's and bought a couch from their friendly and respectful of space staff. Would not recommend.

Came to the store a couple of weeks ago to buy a sectional. The wife and I found one we really liked and it was decent price. A week later got a disappointing email stating that the piece was being discontinued and was no longer available. So we came back looking to find an alternative and as luck would have it we found another one that we both really liked. Unfortunately, it was almost 2 thousand more than the original one which was disappointing. However, we had a great sales team of PJ and Obie and they both taught hard with upper management for us and ended up honoring the original price of the sectional we had originally purchased. They really made the experience enjoyable and I'm happy we decided to come back and to be treated with such great care. Thanks Ashley.

This is the scammiest business model where the company takes no accountability for the store and when the franchise sells the business without delivering the goods they took money for, no one is accountable. We had bad experience throughout with this chain and this location in particular, from the quality of their products to the customer experience. We are going to avoid dealing with such shady operators and stick with big brand chains who care about their brand, reputation and customers.

The quality of the furniture sold has really done down in years. I purchased a sectional with reclining seats. The handles all broke within the first year and now after only 2 1/2 years the recliners are now not closing. One of the recliners must have been damaged upon delivery but was hard to tell. And over 1 year slowly began to have more and more issues. The fabric zipper failed after 1 year only to find out they don't cover zipper replacements. Huh? Their warranty department is not very helpful and the service people don't seem to care much either. So I will be now purchasing yet ANOTHER sofa in less than 3 years. We were so frustrated we have thrown out the broken sectional piece. When we moved the piece of furniture a broken Aluminum bolt (Or at least it felt like Aluminum) fell out. REALLY! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for furniture.

Ready to purchase a bdrm set with the presidents sale price of a little under $1200.. was aware that delivery and assembly was gonna be an extra charge, fine with that, but price came out to $1900 and salesmen himself was confused and told us to call corporate to complain. Not salesmen fault at all, but we should be given the advertised price. And only should have paid the extra assembly and delivery fee, which definitely wouldnt be $700.

Originally thought I was getting a good deal. The sales person kept pointing out a flyer for 25% off everything in the store, BUT the sale ended that day... I ended up getting one of the floor model couches for almost 30% off. Decent deal. I also paid cash (not financed) and picked it up myself, the following day. I got home and checked the website, and the regular price was the 25% off price... It's still that price several weeks later. They artificially inflate their store prices and claim large in-store discounts. Ultimately, I got 8% off a floor model couch, which I would not have gone for if they weren't so deceptive in the actual price of the furniture. I followed up the following day to ask what that was all about. Not irate, just wondering if I misunderstood something, or if there was something they could do to make this closer to the deal I was told it was, and was told all sales were final, and now they won't return messages. I would not recommend a store with business practices like this, and I won't be shopping there again.

Previously, I have had 2 amazing experiences with Ashley. And honestly, this one is not as much the stores fault as corporate. Their msiled advertisement showed a full spread of mattresses on 1 side of a flyer with 30% off "furniture" written over it small in only some places....then went in to find out 30% didn't apply to the mattresses at all!Mattresses aren't furniture they are bedding? Felt like a huge bait & switch....walked out without wasting my time. Sad because it would have been an easy sale that day too!

Gamal was great came in looking for a mattress that I almost bought online and he told me it wasn’t as good as the one he showed me here I went to mattress firm and the sales guy just looked at me and walked away nothing like Gamal his service was excellent through the whole process and didn’t try pressuring me to buying something more expensive.
I have never left a bad review before but I have never had a worse shopping experience anywhere. I purchased a bed frame in late November of 2021 and was told I was receive it in 3 months. After 3 months I called and was told it would be another month. This continued every month with the date continuing to be pushed out. Most of the times I called and was told I would receive a call back and never did. Never once was there an offer to compensate me for the inconvenience, only that I could cancel the order for store credit. Today, nearly one full year later my bed frame arrived, and it was so badly broken the delivery drivers put it right back in the truck and took it away. I called the store again asking for my money back and was given excuses as to why it may not be possible to get a refund. I was told I would get a call back and shockingly I have not. At this point they have basically just stolen my money as they kept the payment and have not provided the product. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! There are plenty of other furniture stores that will give you what you pay for when you pay for it.

I purchased a set of two couches in May 2022 and have received only one as of end of October. I have called the store multiple times. The store manager, Matt Heighes, has argued with me over the phone and has been aggressive with me about my situation. The store office manager, Paula, has been impatient, rude and has hung up on me after I requested several times in different occasions that the couch be delivered. I will sue the store, the manager and the office manager to get the couch, for damages and for the emotional distress they have caused me and my wife.
This is a dying store! Managers are very unprofessional, didn’t look me in the eye and didn’t want to shake my hand and they talk bad about customers who don’t buy, both managers especially Steve was bad

The Manager of this store 14 Kelly Road Salem NH 03079 named Matt is the worst when it comes to customer service. He is not trained to work with customers and hates his job. I do not recommend this store because of Matt's poor customer service.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Originally I gave a great review of my in store experience, my experience QUICKLY changed once I left the store and gave them my money. I received an item missing several pieces and it has been a battle for weeks and weeks just to get the product I paid for. PLEASE BEWARE - once they have your money they DO NOT CARE about their customers any longer. They have no pride in the quality they put out, and if you have any sort of issue post purchase, GOOD LUCK reaching any sort of resolution. Management is an absolute joke, unprofessional, ignorant and not there to help the customer. They will lie and promise resolution and never deliver. Shop elsewhere with a company who will value your business as this place certainly will not. Read the other reviews yourself, don’t take the chance, this place is a disgrace. I wish I knew just how terrible this place was. They will never see a dollar from me again.

I paid Ashley furniture 109.00 to deliver my kitchen set, the chairs were already assembled but they had to put the table together, after they left I noticed they left all these heavy staples hanging straight down under most of the table. I am far from young and had to get my pliers and lay under the table and pull them all out so my cat and guests would not get hurt. This delivery was called the white glove treatment.
I would not recommend purchasing from Ashley to anyone. Customer service is not professional, and treat their customers poorly, as if we were not paying for the items... I've been waiting now for over 8 months for a delivery, and when I asked to speak to the lady that was "helping me", all of a sudden, "she doesn't work there." Please keep in mind that I had spoken to her the day before when they told me that. I tried to be polite and understanding, but everything has a limit. Never again buying anything from here. Very unprofessional.
Poor Quality Furniture. Spend the extra thousand somewhere else. Pieces came damaged 3 weeks ago, still nothing from customer service. When I call the store they say they cannot help"I just sit at the desk" was an actual quote from whoever picked up the phone. Do not be fooled by the rating, most of the 5 star ratings have no explanation, definitely friends/fake accounts, or people who are absolutely clueless. Ashley has gone downhill. Imagine going to a car dealership buying a car, and it gets delivered damaged and nothing is done. This is what happened to me and many others. No response from store management, hence why they manage an Ashley furniture store. I paid full price for new damaged furniture. You are better off going to goodwill cause at least then you get what you pay for.
We buy all our furniture from Jordans. We should have continued to do so but we liked an Ashley bedroom set and weren't thrilled about any at Jordans. Bad sales process. Incorrect delivery estimate. Terrible expierience during the delivery of the furniture. Damaged furniture. No response to damage furniture claim after 9 days(and counting). After sending Ashley pictures they requested of the damage the same day we received their request, they resent the original email asking for pictures 8 days later with no acknowledgment of the pictures already sent. Called the store and they can't help, "different department". Read the reviews and understand this is the type of place that doesn't try to improve their service. Once you swipe your card they do not care. This may sound crazy to some but spend the extra money at Jordans and buy something you might not like as much. In the end you will thank me. Take note how all the negative reviews have ZERO responses from management. This is because they do not care, are lazy, and lack customer service skills which should be the foundation of any retail environment. "That place and other locations are the laughing stock of the industry." - Jordan's Employee UPDATE: Still no response, no call from store manager. No resolution. No Money back. Thanks Ashley! UPDATE: 8/25/22 Still the worst service ever. SHOP ELSEWHERE. UPDATE: 9/21/22 Received my replacement dresser because in the first delivery the dresser was brough with damage. Guess what? This one is damaged also and the mirror on the dresser is badly tilted. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE OR ANY ASHLEY. EMPLOYEES AND THEIR PARTNER ARE JUST LIKE THE FURNITURE. TRASH.
Hopefully nothing goes wrong because there customer service is horrendous. I had an agreement it was written on my invoice to have my old mattress taken away. They delivered the new one and the delivery guys said they had no info about that and they left. After about 8-10 calls they said they would be picking it up and they never showed. I have purchased a few things from this Co. before. This will be my last time.

Let me start by saying this the employees treat you like a king or queen once you enter the store in an attempt to make you spend a fortune. Once the fortune is spent good luck in receiving your product or let alone the right product. Slept on an air mattress for 2 weeks because Ashley furniture dropped the ball and my back is killing me now 😫 they should pay for my chiropractor appointments 😒. The manager doesn't seem to know anything and doesn't keep his word he should look up the word integrity and live by that definition. The customer service employees are mostly miserable when you call 📞 and they treat you like you haven't spent a dime there but in reality I brought the brinks truck for my purchase so show me some respect. In the end i will never buy from them because their service is horrible and they do not keep their word. Ps Jordans furniture is better
Gamal assisted me and my fiance at Ashley in Salem and it was the best experience we’ve had buying furniture. He really helped us to figure out what we needed and what colors might look best. He spent a lot of time with us to make sure we were confident about our purchase. His whole team was great, as they all assisted us in some capacity, even though it was past closing time. We’re looking forward to purchasing more furniture from this location in the near future!
Purchased mattress at reasonable price
I don't general review places like this and we have purchased items at this Ashley previously. This review has nothing to do with the sales people or products. It has to do with the fact that this location has a new owner and we had a credit so the plan for the visit was to use the credit. Well, guess what...the new owner is not honoring any prior credits and the store is saying the system has been cleaned up so no previous credits show. Again, people working there are very nice but we will certainly not shop there again.

Poor customer service. The salesman promised a delivery date which was 8 weeks out. And when I called 5 days after the promised date to check why I haven’t got it, they are giving another date which is one month further. And when I ask why I wasn’t even notified, the customer service representative was really rude. At this stage I have waited for 8 weeks and I have no other option. But this is the last ever time I am going to this store all because of the poor customer service and rude response of the associate.
We bought a nice lift top coffee table. They have a great selection of fine furniture at reasonable prices. The gentleman who assisted us (Gamal) was very nice and very helpful!!

I was told I could pick up my table and chairs but the warehouse never pulled my order and I took a day from work for nothing but they were kind enough to say they would deliver it latter in the week but still that is time out of my schedule but what can you do. Latter in the week they dropped it off and took off fast and never waited for me to inspect it or at least look for scratches etc. One chair is short legged and has a terrible wobble and it has a little marring on the backrest. If they change out this chair I will change my post here and give it a higher rating. I hope they get back quick and give me a new chair .

don't waste your time or money here. cheap products, Customer service is horrible. I have called so many times and everytime I get a different answer. I think they are trained to lie to you as this is an ongoing problem not just at this store from what I have read. Thank goodness it was just a cheap headboard. I got my couches from Jordans furniture who are the best. The customer service at Jordans furniture is the Best with follow ups and communication. So if you need furniture shop as Jordans furniture.
Joe was amazing, he allowed us to take a part couches and go back and forth for a while. He was extremely helpful during my first couch buying process. I highly recommend seeing Joe or anybody else at this store. The only way my experience could have been better was if the couch was free!

Went to buy with cash in pocket, was never greeted, ended up buying at Jordan's.
Went in attempting to find nice end tables. Could not tell who worked there and didn't. Must of passed the same employee 3 times I found it off that a customer would rearrange pillows. Never got a hello or can I help you. I went up to the front to get a salesperson some came out in a hoodie and went and asked that same employee. Over priced if you ask me. 1time in and won't go back for lack of customer service
DONT ever shop at Ashley Furniture Homestores NH! I purchased a bed frame in which their delivery and setup team broke while assembling. The bed was identified as broken by the tech who came here. He couldn’t even remove the bolt because it was stripped so bad. His boss is now insisting he fix my broken brand new bed in my home as opposed to just replacing the piece their movers broke. So I’ll be canceling the rest of order and i don’t care if it results in me waiting until November for a couch, I rather receive the furniture I paid for and have it assembled properly. I basically just paid for a bed I’m going to have to throw away. The two men they sent to deliver and assemble were also extremely unprofessional and rushed the job which is what resulted in the bed being broken. This company has taking no ownership I’ll also be filing a complaint with the attorney general’s office.

Don’t waste your time with this company. I have ordered furniture from many stores and never have I had issues like this. It’s been five months and I still do not have my furniture. One piece had to recently be reordered. Delivery has been canceled three times. Never again will I shop here.

If you’re gonna buy at Ashley’s just be prepared to get your order push back every time, not the 8-10 weeks like they say when you first buy. I went there with my husband on Sept. 5 to purchased a full king bed set and told us if was gonna be delivered the first week of November, I called to ask what happened with our order and told me it got push back to December, called them back in December told me it got push back to January , called them today and told me it got push back to February. I called customer service and a lady from the warehouse took my called, I explained to her what was happening with our order and she apologized and told me they don’t have a specific delivery date yet.. I just think that Ashley’s receptionists shouldn’t give a week or date of delivery if they don’t know if the warehouse has gotten the orders ready. Not even Bobs and Adams furniture took this long to delivered our mattress, living room and dinning room set and we purchased it 2 months after we purchased the bed set.
You can feel the wood thru the leather. Broken pieces and it’s just over a year old. I’ve called numerous time reversing the extra warranty we paid for and I have still not received any info back 3 weeks later .. Do Not Buy from here ! Rip offs

Bought a couch set many years ago and it's still in great shape. Happy with that purchase. Recently visited the store and liked our salesperson but not quite sure about the quality. A few salespeople were a little unprofessional as we walked in but this won't keep us away.

Salem location has nice staff. They are a franchise and seem limited on what they can do for price. The website is awful. I went on the website and saw a 50% off sale on the mattress dept. I added a mattress to my cart and then went to look at the foundations as the mattress page said your warranty was voided if you didn't have the correct foundation. I selected a foundation and when I was brought back to the checkout the mattress went up in price (the promo ended). I talked to the online chat and not willing to help and told me to talk to my local store. The store rep was willing to help me but was advised by a manager they can only match their website and any promo codes. Because I was buying more from them they ended a sale on me and won't help rectify the problem.

My husband and I went in looking for a new kitchen table set and the salesman, John, was extremely helpful and courteous. He wasn't a very pushy salesman, which we appreciated. He let us have time to browse and checked in a couple times to see if we had any questions and answered them when we had questions. Their prices were also decent, less than we originally expected. We would definitely recommend furniture shopping here and to request John.

I just bought a sofa and loveseat for a great price at Ashley. While the price was fantastic, I also greatly appreciated the service - I was greeted right when I walked in and told about the specials (for Black Friday and other sales) but then no salesperson bothered me or hovered as I was shopping. Gamal had helped me multiple times (and even offered me coffee from his own Dunkin’s stash of Kcups) but never pushed or pressured me into buying. It was quite a refreshing experience from other stores I’ve been to. He helped me buy the sofas and even gave me travel tips for an upcoming vacation. Great and service all around!

I really was excited to find the store and the extremely reasonable prices.However what a disappointment when it came to having my furniture delivered. The delivery people were not professional movers and really had no idea how to get the couch into my house.I'd actually moved a similar size couch out of that very same doorway they tried to use but they insisted the couch was too large and they took it back to the warehouse. Now the store has the audacity to try to charge me a 20% restocking fee for cancelling my order. That's just not going to happen, sorry to say will not be going back.

HEADS UP CUSTOMERS!!! 5 years ago I purchased a living room set from Ashley Furniture on Kelly Rd. Salem, NH. At the time they suggested a purchase the $99 protection plan which they explained as such....if within 5 years you don't make a claim on the set you will receive the $99 in a check. Well here we are 5 yrs later and I called to find out where my check was......the lady explained this to me....WE DONT PHYSICALLY SEND YOU A CHECK FOR $99....you need to come to the store and purchase something for at least $799.00 (minimum amount), then we subtract the $99 from your total.....I swear on my bible THE SALESMAN NEVER said that.....why would I call if he had? I feel I was taken by Ashley Furniture and now I'm out $99. Buyer beware of the language they twist around .... Very Unsatisfied with the way they did this..... Probably will NEVER go back there again Signed I WAS COUNTING ON THAT CHECK 🤐

Bought our sofa from them. We had some shipping issues, but as far as the store itself goes the staff are super nice and the place was immaculate when we went into the showcase.
My wife and I were looking for an end table. When we stopped by Ashley, we weren't greeted, had to ask for help, pointed in the direction of some tables and that was it. We noticed that almost all of their furniture was on the dark side. Very dark. Quality was questionable. And, if we bought something, we'd have to drive to Hudson to pick it up. I guess we're headed back to jordan's or La-Z-Boy. You get what you pay for.

First time we went to Ashley we where looking for a couch. Not only did we get a couch but we also got a love seat.... All at a reasonable price!!!! We recieved them in the exact time frame they said it would come in. And delivery was quick and the couches are perfect. We just got back from purchasing a bedroom set and mattress. Even better is that it will be here in 2 to 3 weeks. I can't wait to see our home fully furnished. ❤

I've been in the market for a new mattress for sometime. I've done some searching because I really hoped to find the closest match to what I currently have now. My mattress is about 10 yrs old, and its about time for a new one. I've shopped at Ashleys in the past but it had been a while. Jose greeted me upon arrival and was amazing. I told him what I had in mind, and funny, although we played with all the mattresses in the store, he had the right idea from the very beginning. I could've taken a nap on the spot. I cannot wait to get my new mattress, I think Jose did a great job helping me choose. I most certainly will be returning and seeking him out for all my furniture. Stop by and definitely ask for Jose. 😊
We purchased a queen sleeper sofa At Ashley’s Home Store in Salem NH. We were greeted by Jose upon entering, he gave us directions then allowed us to search the store without hounding us during our search. He checked in now & again to let us know he was available. This approach was so appreciated by us. Nothing worse than being chased around a store by a sales person.! Ultimately we found what we were looking for, Jose help us with color choice & through final purchase which included 2 matching bookcases. His laid back demeanor only enhanced our first time experience with this store. Once our decision was made, his full attention was on our purchase & it was completed without any issue! When you visit Ashley’s Furniture in Salem NH - ask for Jose- he’s your man! Oh by the way - the merchandise is awesome & reasonably price!

Salesperson, Carol in Salem, NH tracked and updated us through our very large sectional delivery deadline of 12/20. Happy to say we were able to enjoy our new couch with family for the holidays. Better than expected.
Before placing our order in store on Dec 16, we told the salesman we needed it on Jan 5th and he said absolutely no problem, that it was more than enough time. It is now Jan 2nd and the furniture we purchased isn't even in the warehouse yet. They also didn't mention the fact that the warehouse holds the furniture for 3 days once they get it to check the quality. This is the last time we will ever order anything from them. Don't buy from here unless you want your furniture 5 years from now.

Placed an order for sleeper sofa they said they deliver it between 2 to 3 weeks. 5 weeks later no news of my order so I cancelled. I don't recommend this place
Quick to make the sale and add in the insurance plan that i never asked for. So when something came up and i needed my furniture to be fixed, i was glad they snuck it by me. Funny how when i called to make the claim though, they said i was denied coverage cause it was not covered in my protection plan. They also said they would email me over a few referals that i could pay out of pocket for...and shocking, i never got that list of referals!
Once again I had an excellent experience. My consultant, Gamal, listened to my space limitations and made excellent recommendations. I had been to another major chain and was not given the attention or information. It was worth the hour drive from Massachusetts!

Very disappointed... I bought a set of 7-piece room, I waited for three weeks for delivery that was only made after I called, and only the bed was delivered and arrived damaged.
It took them almost 2 months to deliver my furniture! But they did make up for it by waiving my delivery fee and the assistant customer service manager was very apologetic and sincere. The delivery crew was great as well so I couldn’t be to upset at the end of the day!

after having multiple delivery issues with bobs and Jordan's we decided to try Ashley's out. Overall were getting more for our money same quality furniture for a fraction of the price.
Initially, no one greated us or offered assistance. However, once we met Carol, she made up for it with her help and knowledge. We came in to see a specific set that wasn’t on display, but Carol helped us find a different set that fit the style we were looking for overall. The purchase was quick and easy, and we look forward to receiving our new bedroom set! Will return for future purchases.

Better quality than similar at Bob's Furniture Store Only objection is that the piece I bought increased in price by 50% since I bought the same piece only one year ago. Salesperson gave me a 15% discount. I also have to go to their warehouse (~20 miles) to pick it up if I want it assembled and avoid delivery charges.

Just bought a dinning room set. It was a no hassle experience, Steve our sales person was helpful when we needed him but left us to wonder around the store. Would highly recommend Ashley’s and we’ll probably be back to purchase living room furniture. Prices were fair and very comparable to other furniture stores.
Called explained what I was looking for and when I got there everything's was set up to see 4 to 5 ITEMS was ready to look at.Sambal. I believe was his name . Very pleasant man , and business took place with us leaving very happy. PEOPLE IN THERE WERE VERY NICE.
This place is a total complete fraud. Bought a sofa which lasted less than a year. After months of making formal complaints the gave me 35% of the original $4000 price. They even called the cops on me once for wanting to talk to the a lady called Megan at their storage facility. This place is terrible, I wish there I could give them zero stars!

Jason Rosenbloom and all the other employees in this store are just as much of liars as used car sales men! I got a bed "beauty rest silver hybrid" worst decision I made in my life. Not only was I lied to by Jason many times when I purchased the bed( LIE #1 he told me that I could return this mattress at any time between the next 10 years if their was a tear in the mattress or a stain on the mattress he used wine as a reference, because I bought a mattress protector. Turns out you can not return the mattress if there's even the smallest stain on the mattress apparently. So it was a complete waist of money to even buy a mattress protector. Then he told me I could get a second mattress protector for free whenever I wanted. LIE #2 was that he told me that my mattress had diamond dust and only had silver dust not a big deal but still a lie. LIE #3 said that my bed was guaranteed to last 50 years.) I was so happy when I got this bed its a king. The first week of having it we noticed it was hard and nothing like the soft display model. My husband and I also have been noticing our mattress sinking in in the middle. They state in the fine print it should sink to form to your body but our bed is just sinking in in the middle. I tried to return this bed within 30 days and they told me to keep it for 60 to see if it will get better if not they will exchange it for another one of their horrible beds. Jason told me to email his boss I'm not sure his name but the email was gawainef. I sent him the pictures of my mattress and the information he wanted 4 different times and never received any response. They sent out a tech who confirmed that our bed is sinking in a 1/2 inch in the center. A brand new bed should not sink in. Also as I went to other stores outside of ashley I noticed our bed is different colors and with different patterns with the same mattress name sewn in it also feels completely different almost like Ashley's is selling sealys used cheep defective beds. I cannot believe all this bull I have to deal with now over 2 thousand dollars of mine gone by these lying scam artists. I HATE this bed so much I wake up in horrible pain every day I toss and turn all night.

I went there, Salem NH store, to purchase a living room set. I had "Buddy" as a sales rep. He wasn't pushy at all, I found what I liked and purchased it. First of all the prices in the store and on the web site are totally different. So I mention the website is cheaper, he says well I'm gonna give you a 10% discount. Ok, so that discount ends up being the prices on line!! What a scam!! Then he says you will have your furniture within 2 weeks, Well that actually meant it would be in the warehouse in 2 weeks and then they call and set up a delivery date. Of course I had a problem with that also, they don't deliver Sunday's or Monday's. Not being able to take more days off, I give them a list of 5/6 days that I am home. Well they are not in my area those days!! Mind you, I already sold my other living room set so I had nothing in the room. I played phone tag with different managers to get this rectified, as "Buddy" said 2 weeks. I told them I wanted to cancel my order because they could not accommodate me and argued with them about charging me a 10% restocking fee, what do you mean a restocking fee- it's still in your damn warehouse!! After 3 days of this, I got my furniture. Not only do they not give you a care kit as other stores do but "Buddy" never told me that the furniture is not treated or protected from stains, nor did he offer this to me. After having the furniture a couple weeks, I'm noticing every little thing stains it, so I called and asked if the furniture was treated, oh that was when I finally talked to someone after being on hold for 13 minutes hanging up and calling back, NO your furniture is not treated, when you purchase it they offer this service for more $$. Great, more $$ and I was never offered this service. So the woman I talked to says you will have to find a company on your own to come out and treat your furniture!! REALLY??? Worse experience ever! Not only is thier customer service poor, but the managers, and furniture SUCK too!! They are thieves and liars!! Don't shop there!! I personally think we should all contact the BBB and maybe even " Hank Philippe Ryan" on channel 7 to investigate these crooks!!
When I went to Ashley's furniture I received excellent service from a gentleman named Jim. He helped us order furniture and make good selections for our home. He did a great job making sure we got good prices. My problem then was with what happened during payment. After having issues with my bank to make the purchase I was refunded money otherwise known as a sale reverse from the store. I then needed to make a large separate payment which is fine but I still have not received my money back from Ashley's. Although I made a separate transaction and they received the money they needed I am still without my money back. I have spoken to the bank multiple times as well as Ashley's furniture. My money has not been refunded to me from the 1st transaction and now I need to file a claim through the bank. It is a big pain and a giant headache. If Ashley's would have been more helpful to me maybe I wouldn't be out $1,000. Solving the problem could have easily happened if Ashley's would have noticed what they did on the computer during the first transaction. Such a shame because I'd like my money back without the trouble of the bank getting involved.

WORST customer service I have ever encountered. Not only did my delivery arrive LATE, but three pieces were damaged; one of which was so damaged the driver was too embarrassed to show me so he didn't even remove it from the truck. Trying to get my replacement furniture has been a total nightmare. Total train-wreck. I will NEVER shop here again.
Poor Quality and Terrible Service! We bought a sectional and within 6 months it pilled. Told it was normal and to defuz. It continues to pill. It has also sagged in several spots, both on the bottom cushions and back cushions. I've refilled the back ones but there's nothing I can do about the bottom ones. In addition, a wooden support was cut wrong and I've called to have them fix it but they wont respond. I've bruised my tailbone twice on it! Also bought a spinning circle chair which has leaked grease on our rug. Will NEVER recommend them bot for their products AND service.
Purchased living room furniture from Ashley's 6 yrs ago...sofa and recliner. I don't really recall what the customer service was like but the furniture is definitely of poor quality. I should have checked it out much more closely before buying. Won't be going back again. My bad.
Don't buy anything from these swindlers!!!! Everything they sell is cheap and poorly made! I bought a dual recliner and within 6 weeks of having it one of the recliner motors stopped working! It looks like the wood is ground up Popsicle sticks with a frugal amount of elmers glue! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

What seemed like a good purchase turned into the worst furniture buying experience of my life. We went into the store and took some photos, dimensions etc and then ordered over the phone a few days later. They told us it would take 3-4 weeks and the furniture was actually delivered 5 and a half weeks later. One of the pieces didn't fit into our house, well we don't actually know because the driver just took measurements and never actually attempted to get the furniture inside. BEWARE if something is delivered and you chose to return it is a 20% restocking fee and they do not give refunds only STORE CREDIT. Nobody told me this when I made the order over the phone and there was no receipt or information explaining this policy. We called to complain and they acknowledged that we were not informed of the return policy and because of our bad experience with the driver we were only charged a 10% restocking fee and the did refund us the rest of the money instead of a store credit.
Furniture is of poor quality at best. Forget a warranty with this group. Make sure you have your local Better Business Bureau number handy. BAD STORE STAY AWAY EVERYONE DON'T BUY LEATHER FROM THEM.
Terrible service and follow through.. Ordered $6000 worth of furniture almost 3 months ago and I am still waiting for it. I would even suggest BOB's over this store.. Hopefully the furniture is even worth the wait... Go to Jordan's...
The service was great during the purchase of our new furniture they said that we would have our funiture at our new house the day after we move in. So we scheduled our move according to our next day delivery we both were excited so we waited till noon on Saturday no one showed up. We called the furniture store up explained our situation and the person on the other end said their was no scheduled delivery for us that day and they didnt even have a delivery day in the books for us we purchased the furniture 4 months before the move so you would think that would be ample time frame to schedule a delivery date. Were not happy with the service at all bo recommendation from me.
the sales people were great in the beginning... purchased sofa, love seat, chair, coffee table , 2 end tables. Delivery was about a week late... have had the furniture for a little over 1 year, the front frame support on the sofa has cracked in half causing the support springs to become loose. the couch now sinks down and makes all kinds a creaking.... when i tipped the sofa over to see where the damage was, i couldn't believe how terribly cheap it was made ! light weight cheap wood with small staples holding the entire front of the sofa together. TERRIBLE ! POOR QUALITY !! dont even bother wasting your time or money !! we spent a couple of months looking around at local furniture stores and of course Ashley was far cheaper than any other place, being on a strict budget at the time we decided to just go for it,BIG BIG MISTAKE !!! i should have researched "ASHLEY FURNITURE" more before purchasing, MY MISTAKE ! please don't make the same mistake i did !! we spent almost $2000 and not even 2 years later the sofa is literally falling apart !! you get what you pay for ! there's a reason why there prices are lower than everyone's !
John, who answers the telephone is the most unprofessional customer service person I've ever dealt with. They also over charged me over $350! for an item I purchased over the phone....I caution ordering anything with this store over the phone..... I am actually considering not utilizing this store any longer and will notify the Corporate office of this. I referred a good friend of mine to this store and she purchased a set, if I had known this was the type of service they give, I would never have recommended them. Shop around before using this store!
Bought a living room set 5 years ago. Also purchased insurance against damage(stains) which I never had to use. !0 days after the policy expired the dog decided to be sick on the couch. Contacted the insurance company...sorry the policy is expired nothing we can do! Spoke to Jason at the Salem store today explained the situation told me that was not an Ashley policy and proceeded to arrange to have someone come out and take care of it for me. THIS is true customer service. Because of this gesture I would NEVER make a purchase at any other furniture store! Thank you Jason, and thank you Ashley Furniture for hiring people like this, it pays off in the long run.
I personally have my own living room furniture from Ashley's. However my recent purchase was for two of my residential homes, i have never had such great service once again Ashley's furniture employees have made me smile. Carol Reed was a GREAT and lovely lady. I am so thrilled with everything and cant wait for the new kitchen sets and living room to come in ... Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Thank You Carol for being so patient with me :)
My wife and I and our two children visited the store because we had recently seen some commercials and decided to check it out. We were greeted by an older sales man at the door who asked us what we were looking for . We told him we were there just to browse around and take a look at the couches. He gave us a brief description on the layout of the store and told us to enjoy looking around. We then proceed to walk around the store and to our surprise this salesman proceeded to walk about 10 feet behind us throughout the entire store. We could constantly see him out of the corner of our eye. It was so uncomfortable and annoying! We did not feel comfortable testing out the couches with him lurking over us. I understand he probably wanted to be close by in case we had questions, but that was way beyond good customer service. It was downright annoying. We like to feel free to wander around without being stalked and if we have questions we will go and find a salesperson to ask. Needless to say, we walked as fast as we could to lose site of him and booked it out the front door. We will NEVER be back again. I can't speak for the quality of their furniture as we did not have a chance to even get a good look at anything.
This was the worst experience I ever had furniture shopping. The in store experience was pleasant and we thought what we purchased would be great. We were told our furniture would arrive 3 to 4 weeks after we purchased it. I received a call saying my furniture would be in on a specific day and I would receive a call the day before. I did not receive a call by 2pm so I decided to call them. They then proceeded to tell me that they had the wrong date in the computer, I wouldn't be surprised if this happened a lot because the man who was on the phone started saying he couldn't believe this happened again and this was worst day ever for him. Well it was a pretty bad day for myself. not only did my wife and myself take the day out of work, we had to take it without pay. They proceeded to tell me there was nothing they could do and did not seem to care at all. All we were looking for was to receive our furniture they day they said we would or be compensated somehow for not receiving it that day. The customer service at the warehouse is terrible! I would recommend any other store over Ashley Furniture

It has been a long time since I bought furniture. I was expecting to be attacked by sales people when I walked through the front door, but that did not happen The showroom was gorgeous and very well organized. It was very easy to find what I was looking for. When I finally needed a sales person he was there. The whole experience was very pleasant, I look forward to redecorating the rest of my house. The one issue I found was that much of the furniture was on the large size, I'm not sure that furnishing an apartment would be very easy here. Would have liked to see more slim-lined bedroom sets and less bulky chairs and sofas, but I guess maybe that's just the style these days.
I have to begin by saying that this review is about furniture I bought 3 or so years ago, and not about the shopping experience itself, which was fine. I bought one of their fake leather sectionals, and I am so disappointed in the quality. It was an attractive, comfortable sectional and a recliner, but the material begin to flake off within the first year. The recliner was used constantly, but the sectional wasn't used very much, and it started peeling where my husband's head rested. The recliner, which was used more, is just a mess. I purposely avoided buying from another big chain type furniture store because I had heard of their quality issues, thought this was going to be a decent quality (we paid a good price for it) and it isn't. Anyhow, live and learn- I will not buy anything there again.
I had a great experience here about 1.5years ago and would def go back. However, if you purchase the warranty you have to go through Montage Furniture Services to file claims and they do everything by snail mail. The last time I needed my reclining sofa fixed it too about 2 months just for the process and then 3 more weeks for the scheduled appt!!!!
I recently bought an accent chair and hassock. I love it. I was very impressed with the store and prices. the salesman and manager were great. very helpful. I get so many compliments on the chair and they want to know where I got it. no problems at all. delivery on schedule. very happy.
I want to register a formal complaint about a recent "as is" purchase. I was sold a floor model chair at a "reduced price" and told it was in good working condition. I was not told it was an as-is or final sale until I handed over my credit card. The sales women deliberately withheld a critical pice of information and I am furious. The chair does not return to the seating position without having to get up and force it back. I bought this chair for my wife and now it is a useless piece of junk! This is dishonest and deceitful. I expect a refund or compensation or a fix of the problem. The law in NH states that even in a "final sale" situation, you cannot misrepresent the product to the customer or allow for mitigation. I intend to bring this to the attention of the NH Attorney Generals office if nothing is done about this.
