I’ve known Maureen for 30 years, and as a previous employee, I can personally attest to her fairness and respect for all people, regardless of background. I’ve witnessed her staff and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including African Americans, Middle Eastern, and Hispanic individuals. Maureen treats everyone with the same level of dignity and professionalism. The claim that she’s racist simply because she didn’t lower a price to meet someone’s demands is outrageous and entirely baseless. Using racism as a way to lash out when things don’t go your way is not only childish but incredibly classless. It’s a weak attempt to manipulate the situation by attacking her character, which is both unfounded and harmful. As a parent of a special needs child myself, I am deeply concerned that someone would weaponize such a serious issue as racism in this manner. Frankly, I wouldn’t want someone who behaves this way around my child or anyone else’s. This behavior shows a complete lack of maturity and understanding of what racism truly is and why it should never be used as a tool for personal gain or to defame someone undeservingly.
I had a disappointing experience at this store. The store manager, Maureen, seems to enforce policies inconsistently, depending on the customer’s appearance. Her curt and unfriendly demeanor made the visit unpleasant. I will not be returning.
We just purchased a bedroom and dining room set from Ashley’s in Burlington and sincerely enjoyed the experience. The sales associate Tynaria Carpenter was Outstanding. Kind, considerate and extremely informative in guiding us through the myriad of options at our disposal. We ended up with some very nice pieces that will certainly enhance the beauty and convenience of our home. Many thanks to Tynaria and the manager who made this such an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Great experience! We explained to our sales rep, Abraham, what we were looking for, and he showed us several options that met our needs. We settled on something, worked out a discount, and were out within an hour! The staff was super friendly, and we left feeling happy about our purchase!
