We went to Ashley furniture in deptford nj and upon arrival we were greeted by Jay and may we say how lucky and fortunate we were !!! We were buying a mattress nd Jay was so knowledgeable about the products he sells ! He listened to what we wanted and went straight into action to tell us about every mattress they have ! I never got my gift from before

Sucked. I ordered a sectional couch and it didn’t fit in my living room so the delivery man left what could fit and tried to order me a new piece. My sectional has been discontinued so I ordered a new sectional that would fit and now I’m being hit with NEW delivery charges AND pick up charges so I can get the new couch that will fit. Ohh and I couldn’t even return the 1st couch and get my money back at all!!! Not a good experience at all!!!

We had the daunting task of furnishing almost an entire house. We had an amazing experience at Ashley Furniture in Deptford. The great selection and ample displays made it easy to find everything we needed and our sales person, Adam, was knowledgeable and a real pleasure to work with. Jay was awesome. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a smile that didn’t seem disingenuous. He was super patient, not at all pushy, and gave great recommendations when we asked his opinions. We’ve been shopping for a couch for a little while now, and Jay was the difference maker with the purchase. After about 3 minutes of speaking with him, my wife looked at me and said “Jay isn’t like the other salesmen we’ve spoken to.” From that moment on, we knew Jay would be getting our business. We stopped in on a random Sunday to check out a couch we had seen online and were greeted by Aaron, a very nice gentleman. He was extremely informative and helped us make the right decision for our home. I highly recommend this Ashley Furniture location, and especially Aaron as a salesperson—you won’t be disappointed. The people working at the homestore are eager to help you find something to buy, but I’ve seen the couch 4 times before I purchased so I already knew what I wanted. Once I was in the buying process they put down the wrong couch pieces, the wrong address, and the wrong phone number. Good thing I was paying attention because I caught everything except the wrong phone number. Then when I got the couch it came with dents in it the people who handle repairs are not responsive I had to keep reaching out and then they told me the dents will just come out as you sit on it and I just don’t believe that. So I went back to the homestore showed them the pictures, they agreed with me, reached back out to the repair people and I still haven’t heard anything. Also when I seen the couch 4 different times at multiple locations it never had dents in it.

I want to say that I had an amazing visit at the Ashley Outlet store in Deptford, NJ on Dec. 9th. I was looking for a new sofa for my soon to be 95 year old Mom and was met by a store associate, Janice, who was just a very nice and kind person from our initial contact. I told her what I was looking for and she showed me the sofa which of course I had to sit on it to test it out. It was perfect and I know my moo will really love it. So nthank you to Janice for her kindness and help. I will be going back in the near future to purchase something for me now. Thank you again Janice. Take care.

If I could give Zero stars that would be my rating. Horrible and circular customer service. If you made a cash purchase and return for a refund, it is allegedly company policy to refund your money via check in the mail in 3-4 weeks.This retailer is the worst. Trash

Store in excellent condition, sales person was very helpful, bought a recliner. My only complaint was sales contract item information not legible, this problem should have been corrected, overall I would recommend this outlet.

Hi My name is Jim and this is my first time that I visited Ashley and purchased a mattress. I was greeted with a smile, friendly sales rep named Aaron. I am 91 years old and walk with the use of a cane. As we walked into the store to the mattress department with some differculty, he stopped and ask me if I would like to use a wheelchair? This is a first for me to have that feature offered to me when shopping at a department store since by disability. He is a great sales Rep and a person who represents Ashley. Great selection of sectional sofas! Salesman(Aaron) greeted me with a smile. I told him I wanted to look around and would find him if I had any questions. I did not feel pressured at all! I found a sectional I loved, he answered questions I had, and seamlessly placed my order. The cashier was very friendly as well. My only negative comment is that it will not be available/delivered for two months😢 I love the fact that I could mix and match the pieces on this sectional. Very happy customer!

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Buying the furniture was great, but then it was everything after that made sure I will never give them my business ever again. Our dining room table came in wrong and that is where everything went from a great experience to I hope this place closes down! I was ignored and repeatedly lied to by staff telling me the correct table was in stock and would be delivered in a day or two. After several days of getting the runaround, I finally called corporate and they advised me that my correct table was actually out of stock! When it finally did come in, they tried to deliver the table on the one day I told them I couldn't accept it!! Finally, I was on a conference call with customer care and the manager from the delivery team working this all out myself... & the store was still texting me pretending that they were trying to help me - BUT - the gentleman from delivery team let me know no one from the store ever even called them! Stay away from this place! Once they have your money they are done with you and now I am done with them!

I purchaesed a dining room set on mothers day, due to the memorial day sales promo. The promo was spend a particular amount and receive a reward. Ours turned out to be an espresso maker. We called when the set was delivered and received an email address to contact, of course no response. Then the other call we were advised to wait 1 month. Did that and I called today and got how that their company is changing hands and thats the problem. Sure sounds like fraud to me. Beware

The lady who is assigned to mattresses is very rude and has very bad attitude . NEVER visit or shop from this place again! go to Bob cross the plaza where you really feel at ease!

I really liked the furniture in the store. Even fell in love with a sofa & loveseat & a set of tables. However when the day of delivery came, they tried to deliver the wrong furniture & a 2 week delay on my tables!! When I contacted the store the sales lady had no explanation as to why they had happened. Not even a way to resolve the issue Due to the fact that the sofa and loveseat that I initially ordered would now be on backorder for four weeks. When I went to the store on the Saturday of a Memorial Day weekend, the sales lady still cannot give me a reason as to why this had happened. When I told her that I wanted a Full refund, she told me to browse around the store and pick out another selection. She was not At all interested in helping us resolve this issue. Only was concerned about how much commission she was gonna lose on the sale. Then they tried refunding me only half my money until I showed them the invoices that I had. They blamed the new system that they were working on. It seems like nobody in that store wanted to take blame for anything. Needless to say I got a full refund. And I took my money elsewhere. Do not recommend going here they follow you around like lost puppies. Worse than a used car salesman..

I’m highly disappointed in my experience at Ashley’s. On Tuesday evening, I went in and purchased a couch. The customer service that night was exceptional. The staff was very helpful, informative, and shared that they were learning a new system so we were very patient with them as they got used to it. We were told that night that on Wednesday we would receive a phone call to schedule our delivery on Friday or Saturday this week. We did not receive a phone call on Wednesday, I had to call on Wednesday evening to find out our scheduled time. During this phone call, the staff expressed to me that they were still learning a new system and that they were unable to schedule my couch delivery at that time. I gave them grace and was very patient. The staff member asked if they could call me back on Thursday to schedule delivery. I accepted this as I know it is a holiday weekend and they were learning a new system. On Thursday, I never received a phone call. Again, I had to reach out around 4 PM to figure out if they scheduled. At this time, they tried to tell me that they were unable to schedule deliveries still. When I spoke to the representative that time I made it clear that it was unacceptable. This time the representative reached out to the delivery team and called me back to informed me that she could set up delivery but it wouldn’t be until Tuesday. She claimed “because of the holiday weekend the times have filled up”. How could they have filled up if you were unable to schedule deliveries for 3 days while learning your new system? On Thursday, the representative then reached out to the delivery team and asked to schedule delivery as soon as possible. Unfortunately, because I never received a phone call on Thursday during the day when the represent to reach out to delivery, the delivery team was already out for the day. This meant I had to wait until Friday morning to hear back about delivery of my couch. This morning, when I received a phone call, I was informed that my couch cannot be delivered until Wednesday. The representative told me she would try to get me scheduled as soon as possible, but at this point, I do not have a scheduled delivery. When speaking to her this morning, I was told that she would send me a text message And the contact information for management that I wanted to speak to. I have not received this text yet and it has been hours. The management team at Ashley’s furniture needs to do better. Your staff is struggling and they need help! It doesn’t make sense to roll out a new system on a holiday weekend with big sales. You should have properly trained your staff to avoid inconveniencing your customers. At this point, I find it hard to believe that my couch will ever be delivered. Do BETTER management. I will not be recommending this place to anyone in the future.

Well, we purchased a couch with the 5-year warranty and have had it 3 months so far. It is already having buttons pop off, and there is metal ripping through the side wall, and what is the last of my worries, the cushions do not stay on, they slide off continuously. The aforementioned piece of metal that has ripped through the fabric is going to tear someone's hand or foot open if they are unfortunate enough to put their limb in it's way. Also, I have a 1 year old son, so the buttons that are popping off and are all loose are a choking issue. I went to the store today. Their manager is kind, but I suppose there is only so much he can do. I have called the service department 2 times to see if they can come out and deem this couch unable to repair. I suppose if they decide to call me, I will see what they are willing to do. I personally will never buy from Ashley again. I would suggest the same for anyone. If they aren't willing to help me with a reasonable request of just a store credit to get a safe couch, they are not going to help you. Go to Bob's or a different distributer. Once they have your money, they don't care.

Ashley is where I always buy new furniture. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Janice was excellent in helping me with everything I needed!

Absolutely the most horrible experience for buying furniture after purchasing the furniture. It was delivered by a third-party company with something else being delivered with it. Little fragments and bugs were in the furniture. The furniture that was delivered was not the furniture that we ordered upon talking to Ashley furniture They were very ignorant very rude. Did not want to properly fix the situation and did not offer a proper solution. Also, the driver of the truck tried to force a very large truck down a small street and damaged my neighbor’s car buyers beware.

Had a great experience. I really appreciated the lack of pressure from Jomar. He greeted me when I came in, asked if I needed help, and when I said I was just browsing he gave me his name and said to ask if I had any questions. He then left me to look around. When I had questions he was easily found and knowledgeable. This "non-high pressure" sales worked well for me. I ended up buying living room furniture because I was more relaxed and comfortable than some other places I went. Thanks Jomar!

It was nice walking in the store and not being bombarded with sales reps. Our rep was Adam Dyrnes. He was able to answer all of our questions. He gave us space so my husband and I could make a decision without feeling pressured. The prices were reasonable. I will always do business with Ashley.

Sales person was great, prices are decent only complaint is wait time. Alot of items arnt in stock and have a few week lead time.

This place is devious in pricing. My wife and I selected a sofa and decided to purchase it. The pricing placard said $749. But, behind it was a sheet that said Veterans Day sale $799. The salesman pulled the $749 sheet out and went to the desk to write it up. We were charged $799!

I was looking for sunroom furniture and they had nothing but in the past I bought a kitchen table that's well made, however my daughter bought a living room oversized chair and the cushions drooped and they didn't do anything for her. I do not recommend sofas purchased here.

This store had a piece of furniture I needed at a reasonable price and good curbside loading service.

I purchased the Darcy sofa and chair in mocha a while back and I wanted to now purchase the ottoman in mocha. It seems it has been discontinued. I love your products, there very well made, durable, and attractive, but I'm disappointed that I'm unable to obtain the ottoman that I want. The salesperson Heather was great with assisting me.

Looking for a bedroom set and decided to try Ashley after looking at other sets. First off the sales people were very pleasant and were not pushy and let us walk around without being bothered and after awhile we saw a set that we really liked and decided to purchase said set, that is when the sales person helped with the paper work and gave us a tentative delivery date. We paid for the set and left the store very pleased.

I bought a bed and a dresser in this place, I did not like buying here at all, since they are delayed with deliveries and do not notify the reason for what happened. On the other hand, they do not explain well what is needed if you do not bring the mattress, you should purchase an additional base for it. I do not recommend it at all, and I will not buy from this place again. Too dissatisfied with the service.

Purchased a bedroom set in April, and was told by the sales associate that there was plenty of inventory available and that we could schedule the delivery at our convenience. That was not the case, and I’m now moving into my new home without any bedroom furniture, with no set date on when I can expect my furniture even though it’s been fully paid for! I am not happy and will purchase the rest of the furniture for my home elsewhere.

I got a sectional on fall clearance last October. It was a great price, now I know why. It's super uncomfortable and 2 days after paying for delivery and set up the buttons began to catch and pull. It is now missing 2 and others are following suit. I don't recommend the low quality furniture from Ashley Outlet. Also, I wasn't going to leave a review but they're hounding me with messages to do so. wish I could leave a better review.

Customer service was great at first. They gave us space to look around which we appreciated. After purchasing 2 furniture items we were left with having to exchange 1 immediately after receiving from the warehouse. By this time we were not treated like customers. It seemed as though they were worried we wanted to get our money back which was not the case we just wanted to reselect. They gave us such a hard time there was so much miscommunication. We were told one thing then told another. This took up to 3 weeks. They told us we can look online as well failing to make mention it can't be from online. After being fed up with having gone back and forth over the phone and driving personally to the store 3 times. We gave up on them and went to cherry Hill the same day we left with 2 new chairs and so much clarity and didn’t have to pay a another delivery fee like deptford told us we would. And Now we are dealing with deptford not giving us the right monthly bill amount with the wrong promotional. I would never go to deptford again. Cherry Hill was amazing and we will definitely go back to them. Hopefully this will all get resolved soon. It's been such a headache. The woman that helped us at cherry Hill immediately knew what a re-selection was and made everything so easy and enjoyable. We will continue furnishing our home with the Cherry Hill location.

Aside from the heavier blonde woman when I walked in everything went well after her. Jacob was most helpful,friendly and professional unlike her. Everyone else at the checkout was great!! Kind professional friendly staff at the counter. The heavier blonde woman I forgot her name. She was quite rude and needs to learn some people and customer service skills.

My complaint is NOT about the furniture. I am very happy with the Woodsman reclining sofa. My complaint is about the delivery and set up. 1. WHY would you take the couch out of the box on a wet rainy day? 2. Why remove the protective covering from the sofa to allow it to get wet and scratched? 3. WHY WHY WHY did you think that the sofa would move into the door vertically when you could have easily tilted it into the door? Now my sofa has multiple scratches and even a small tear in the leather like material! If I didn't have the protection plan, I would’ve had to deal with this mess. Next time I will order my OWN moving company, especially for the price I paid for delivery. My nephews were more careful carrying the old sofa to the trash!

Jim and the crew were very courteous and professional in handling our purchase. We got exactly what we wanted and the price was reasonable. Update to my post on 10/19/22. When I purchased my mattress on the 15th I made arrangements for it to be delivered on Wednesday the 19th. After no call the day before and none on delivery day plus no delivery I call them to find out what happened and was told there's no notes for delivery nor was it scheduled after I clearly made the arrangements on Saturday. I had to schedule delivery again on a day that's inconvenient for me. Very poor communication and service. I made it known to the person I spoke with that this will be my last time buying anything else from them.

I found what I was looking for at a great price, bit I don't really see why it's called an outlet bc they have the same item as the regular store at the same price. So a little confused there.

While the service was great and everyone was very nice. The sale price show on the couch we got was not for the model it was on. So that was misleading and we spent more than planed because we really liked the model on the floor. This is something management should fix.

I ordered my couch Labor Day weekend. I ordered it with Beau who apparently was just telling people whatever they wanted to hear because he was fired. Only found that out after I called in November to find out where my couch was. I kept getting promises that it would be in the next month. 🙄 Fast forward to today February 23rd. No couch. I was emailed again to say it’ll be another month. And this was after the manager called me earlier in the month to say he was confident it would be in at the end of this month. So I will be going in today to cancel my order and give my money to someone else. This company is horrible. It’s my fault though because this was the second time I ordered from Ashley and the second time I had to cancel because they kept saying the furniture would be in “next month.”

I dealt with Lauren and she was very helpful and got me a very nice queen bedroom set . Very happy with my purchase.

I placed an order in September 2021 with the understanding that there would be a delayed expected delivery in December 2021- January 2021. I called the store in mid-2021 to inquire about satus of delivery. I was notified that delivery had a revised delayed March 2022 delivery. Given Ashely has a 3 day full return policy, I inquired about their cancellation policy. On December 23, 2021 I received a random email that I had refund pending???? I went to store to learn that my order was CANCELLED. After patiently waiting 3 months, they cancelled my order. So NOW....I'm back in the queue as if I just ordered today....AUGHHHH.

Sales person helped us find exactly what we wanted very quickly. No pressure which is something I try to avoid so it was especially nice. Only downfall is that your furniture takes so long to come in.

I received an email asking me to leave a review and I would like to give my honest opinion. Yesterday, I took advantage of the Black Friday in store only promotion, and purchased several items. I was pleased to find sets for each room in my new house, however after purchase I found that I had been overcharged almost $800.00. It was a huge inconvenience to have to go back around the store to check each item price while carrying a newborn baby. If I had not took a close look at my receipt and added up the price I was charged and what the floor price was, I would’ve been out of almost $800. This act makes me question the integrity of the company and I am not pleased with my overall experience.

My sales person was good, easy to talk to. No pressure. My test will be if she remembers to call me when the love seat comes stock again.

The customer service was great until after the purchase. We waited 8 months!! for our couch to come in. To which our salesmen each week kept telling me it would be in the following week. I now have a rip in the couch I purchased. To get to there customer service/ warranty services is atrocious. I paid for the warranty on the furniture and it’s seemingly impossible to get this issue resolved. Needless to say I will no longer do business with Ashley furniture.

I kept waiting for him to tell me he had to talk it over with his sales manager, and to make it worse, he smelled like an ashtray. I thought everyone quit smoking last year?

Was nice. Pretty good service. We found some end tables we needed and a chair side table as well. My gripe was when we picked out a leather sofa/loveseat/recliner ($4k) set and wanted some matching pillows thrown in $240 worth and 0% for 60 months and the manager wouldn’t do it. I thought that was a bit unreasonable so we left.

This is THE WORST experience I’ve ever had with getting new furniture. I was assured a delivery date but told I’m trying to get it even sooner.The delivery date came and went…Get an email stating it would be another date…that didn’t happen either. Then when you call to complain and all of a sudden your furniture magically appears in the warehouse. You get another day and time BUT they call you at 730am to tell you they will be there in 20 mins NO you won’t cancel that order. And then the 4the delivery date which was 6/18 and the delivery driver breaks the entire foot off the ottoman and hides underneath there: The customer service is a tragedy at that store. The employees literally hang up on you the second you seem a little bit annoyed. The manager Jim is an absolute joke. DON’T EVERRRRRRR BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY LET ALONE THAT STORE….do yourself a favor and go to BIG LOTS they have all named brand furniture including Broyhill for wayyyyy cheaper better quality and wayyyyy better customer service

Ashley furniture as a whole is a terrible company. Although the employees here tried to help me, the people in charge will not fix your furniture and at most will offer store credit after you call them 20 times. Then they close your account claiming they can't do anything else for you. I've been sleeping on the floor because they took apart my bed frame and told me they won't keep working due to unsanitary conditions... my room is not unsanitary and this is the 3rd time they've been to my house. Why was it not unsanitary the first 2 times? This is the worst company I've ever purchased from.. I do NOT recommend then.

Great price and great service from a very friendly Beau. Answered all my ? And got me out quickly which is always better then standing around for hours waiting for finishing order. So very impressed with Deptford store and will use them again.

Jeffery was very knowledgeable about all the products from couches to mattresses. Not sure what you want go see him and he will assist you with figuring out what you want.
