I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience bothered me to no end. The manager Alfred was HORRENDOUS. Rude and dismissive from the beginning, speaking to my partner and I in what can be considered a condescending tone, at times cutting us off while we were trying to talk. We asked simple questions and his responses felt irritated. If passive aggressive was a person, this is him. Some of his comments came across inappropriate and unprofessional as if he was speaking in a non-work environment. What made it worse was seeing the way he spoke to our salesperson in front of us, it was so disrespectful and made us very uncomfortable. The sales rep kept a positive composure but there was a clear display of Alfred trying to bring down his employee (maybe due to race). Our salesperson was very nice (they deserve a raise if this is what they deal with everyday). As someone who has worked in customer service, what could have been a positive experience was completely ruined by the manager who showed a real lack of basic customer service skills. Alfred also said he knows my culture (even though he did not ask a single question about my race), The culture he referred to is a region of the country I am not from. My partner and I left the building so fast, this place is a joke. I can’t believe this is who Ashley hires to work with clients. You can get the same furniture from any other location so don’t fall for the scams or disinformation here.. I’d honestly suggest going ANYWHERE else!!

Walked in the store and told a sales associate Delvin M we did not need his help but he continued to follow us and pestering us. It felt like he was harassing us. He also said that I should not be so rude and then called his store manager over and told us to our face that we are disrespectful. Alfred the store manager was nice but I will be telling every single person I know to avoid this place.

I would not go to this Ashely specifically but their insurance policy is also terrible. We bought a couch from them in 2024 and within a year the couch started falling apart. We bought the insurance but when we went to file claims things we were told were covered ended not. We went back to the store to get some clarification on the insurance policy because we were now looking for a bed to buy (this was during the Black Friday sale 2025). When we went into the store we were just going to go to the customer desk in the back. We were approached by a sales associate and asked if we needed help. I told him no and that we knew where we were going, I continued to walk. He continued following me asking what I needed. I said I don’t need your help and he then got in front of me. A female manager then got involved and made it look like we were the problem. This male associate then “escorted” us to the desk and made a backhand comment that he was just trying to help. No you were trying to bully a customer to work with you. We get to the desk and are basically told that everything we put in for was not covered so I told them I will never purchase from this company again and we went to Raymour and Flanigan where they were wonderful and bought a $5000 bed. By the way they did say we could purchase an additional $100 insurance policy on top of the $200 policy we already bought if we wanted our couch fixed.
