I just wanted to start by saying how thankful I am to get such a good deal on a beautiful couch. Lina was such a sweetheart and was very professional. From the start I was greeted with professionalism by Kim. I loved how she approached consumers which was letting them roam freely and informing me that she was here to help. That was a crucial part in getting my business. All the other places in the same lot along with other Ashley’s I have been too did not seem like they were genuinely interested in getting me what would suit me best but more so just getting a deal “too aggressive and salesy” It’s true you buy from people you like and after searching the store and miraculously spending 30 minutes “time flew by so quickly” just talking and sitting on the couch. I basically had a free trial as if I was in my living room. Made me feel at home so I ended up purchasing that exact sofa. The whole experience was by far better than any other competitor even with the price being the same. I made a pact to come back to Ashley’s and purchase from Lina within the hour. Her and Kim are crucial parts in the success in that Ashley’s store and I would highly recommend all the employees praise them any chance they can get. They will be getting my future business and referrals moving forward. Thank you for the couch and cannot wait for the delivery in 1 week.

My husband and I have had the most frustrating experience with Ashley from start to finish. From the start, the salespeople at the Paramus store were really pressuring us to buy the table within 10 minutes of us seeing it. We told them that we wanted to sleep on it and would almost definitely get it, just had to go home and think about it to make sure. Well they hounded us and then we started getting "appointment" reminders for an appointment at the store that we did NOT make for the following Friday. We found this absurd so we went to the Fairfield store instead. Here, Justin was friendly and easygoing (5 stars for Justin) and we bought our table and 10 chairs. On August 15th day of purchase, we were told the table and chairs were out of stock and it would come no later than September 11th. This was okay with us. September 11th rolls around and no communication from Ashley. I call them and they say they have "no ETA". I call again 3 days later and now the ETA is October 8th, 2 months after the date of purchase and one month past promise date. I called back another week later and all of a sudden the table was ready and we could have it the next day, but there was 0 communication about this so had I not called I would be waiting around. When the items were delivered, 3/10 chairs had significant noticeable damage that we identified immediately. The customer service rep informed us and the delivery team that our options were to have someone come "repair" the chairs, or do a return. We obviously choose return because we already watched one of the delivery guys try to color in a major hole with a marker and we wanted the chairs new as intended. The service rep then informed that in order to return 3 chairs, the entire table and all 10 chairs would have to be put back on the truck and RE DELIVERED. The delivery guy (super nice, another 5 stars for delivery teams), insisted we speak to the manager. Upon speaking to the manager, they agreed we could return the 3 chairs but this whole ordeal took a significant amount of time. Finally the following week the remaining 3 chairs came, and I again had to be on the phone way too long with the customer service survey to confirm the delivery. We have shopped and had deliveries at multiple furniture stores and in no case did we have such an annoying, time consuming, and quality issue as we did with Ashley. We will not be shopping at this brand again for any reason; avoid it.

Such a a great experience thanks to Ghassen. We came in simply to look around for couches and he immediately was very helpful and informative. Ghassen made sure we left satisfied with everything, and was very personable with us. He made sure to make us feel welcomed and like old friends. Would definitely recommend come to this location and having Ghassen help you find the perfect furniture for your home. First, the front door was locked and no employees in sight. Had to call Ashley and they called this location. Then 5-6 staff came to the door and said this has happened several times. Why not solve it? If you know the door is broken, make sure an employee is stationed at the front of the store to let customers in. We shouldn't have to be knocking on the windows and calling the main number. Trevor introduced himself and we informed we were just looking and didn't need help. He was persistent and would not leave us alone. After informing him of the few thoughts we had, he kept saying "I'll tell you what you want; you don't want that; etc". Everything was said in a snarky tone. If a customer just wants to look around, let them. Won't be buying anything from him!

Been here 2x recently because I was looking for a couch. First time me & my boyfriend came in & this man refused to speak to me, would only address my boyfriend. We do not live together & the couch was for me. So I proceeded to walk away every time we got to another couch he would come back & say “just looking” he kept coming around & told me I looked annoyed by him. I told him I was & why. Then he told me “if you are someone who enjoys to throw away money is the only reason you wouldn’t buy something today” so we left & decided to come back another day. A few weeks later I came back with my boyfriend & my roommate & I said “please don’t let him be there.” Well what are the odds he was. Same ignorant, pushy & confrontational man. I told him I didn’t want to buy from him because he was rude. He explained “I’m just doing my job. And I’m addressing him because men understand things more than women do” we left & went to another furniture store & asked if they could sell me the exact couch I saw at Ashley & they did. Just because I refuse to buy from this man. He is awful. His “scare tactic” and “insulting” sales ways may work on some but it made me run out the door & spend my money that same day elsewhere. Would have bought the couch that day if it was not for this man.

Lou "Lou P" Pallone is the man! He has been taking care of our furniture needs for 20+'years and Ashley has never disappointed us with their selection or quality. Go to this store and ask for Lou P. You won't be disappointed!

Justin made our first experience at Ashley super patient centered, quick, and stress free. He's very knowledgable and offered logical solutions to any doubts or second thoughts we expressed to him before making our final decision. This is our first Ashley purchase but certainly not our last, and hopefully we get to work with Justin again!

Justin was great! Furniture shopping was painless. And he dealt with my indecisiveness about matching the color to my kitchen.

Ashley's furniture has warranties on their Sealy mattresses. Our mattress (and bed) broke within three years. We have requested them to fulfill their warranty on the mattress and they have given us the same run around for weeks. At one point they tried to tell us that the manufacturer is responsible but Sealy's said that this was untrue and that it is Ashley's obligation. Ashley's had a technician who came out and confirmed that the mattress had at least three broken coils and that the mattress was garbage. They have closed our case after the technician visit then said they wanted us to restart the process to have another technician come out and us to send the pictures again. We did this at least 3-4 times. In addition, I'd like to add that our bed from Ashley's broke within a year of purchase. We did not go through Ashley's for repair based on the horrendous reviews. We hired a previous Ashley's employee who told us that Ashley's purposely does not include the proper supports on their beds and wants customers to call within the warranty time and sends out a technician to fix it but they only put a bandaid on it (on purpose) so that customers are forced to buy a new bed at the end.

Although I do like the living room set purchased, after 3 yrs the love seat started sagging a little in the middle.... no worries, bought the 5 year worry free protection and was told SPECIFICALLY stuff like that would be covered including cushion replacements.... 3 yrs later when I need it, THEY DON'T COVER SQUAT!!! and do EVERYTHING in their power to make sure they don't have to cover anything. Although it's nice furniture, DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR BS PROTECTION PLAN!!! It's nothing but a scam that the protection service will not cover, the store will not cover and corporate will not cover. All friendly when they want to sell your, pretty nasty when you ask them to make good on a warranty you were sold. Will NEVER purchase from them again due to their dishonesty. **I have replied to further discuss, will update review after they reply.

The worst experience. My sofa was to high to enter in my apartment. When I bought it nobody told me it coming in one piece, nobody asked me details about my apartment. The drivers did not delivery the sofa and Ashley didn’t return my delivery money back. Ashley wanted more money to separate the sofa in pieces ($160) or they offered me change the sofa but pay again the delivery .Ashley doesn’t care the client’s satisfaction. I think the money of the delivery should be share with Ashey (50%) because it was not my fault. Ashley supuse have more experience with deliveries. It was the worst experience I had it. In addition I have problems with my husband because was “my idea” buy a sofa. You need to improve customer service and improve the sale protocols because I don’t believe it is the first time it happened.

He allowed us to take as much as needed to test out each make and model recommended. All additional questions we had he answered very knowledgeably. I was not even planning on buying a couch today. We were just looking around. Justin came and didn't pressure or follow us around. He was very nice to my wife and it meant a lot to me. I left and went to another store but Justin was the difference. He's a class act! This was one of the nicest sales experience ever. 100% Truth.

The worst customer service I been waiting almost 2 months to get the right color drawer and still the store does not want to take responsibility and avoids my calls. The store blames the warehouse for not having the drawers. The store makes sells without checking if warehouse have it available. We spend at least 20,000 on the store they were real hungry calling us and everything before we made purchase but now that there's a problem they don't want to deal with the problem.

It has been a horrendous experience for us at Ashley. Damaged furniture has been sent thrice and every time I am instructed to open a service request with customer service. A month and a half later I still do not have a functional dining set and have been spending hours on the phone explaining the issue to customer service. Every call with customer service has taken 30 to 60 mins. Needless to say, my family is very very disappointed.

hands down worst customer service i ever encountered. please don’t waste thousands of dollars on here. they’ve made me moving 10,000 times more stressful it’s impossible to talk to someone who isn’t a automated computer.

This is an updated review, because the original review that we left was Actually requested from us from The sales rep that helped us at Ashley, we bought this set of furniture for about $3000. The couch came out pretty decent, but what I have an issue with is this dresser and the dining room chairs. The nails on the chairs come loose on their own, The seats are extremely uncomfortable, and when you sit, you literally feel your butt falling into a hole. They are the most uncomfortable chairs we have ever purchased, We have not been able to put any objects on the dresser shelves because the shelves are uneven we’re not placed correctly and do not say in place. I am very upset with the quality of the furniture at Ashley furniture, They are definitely Up charging for very cheap furniture. And if you’re asking if we would ever go there again, the answer is absolutely not. UPDATE JUNE 2024: We wrote to them to try and get covered under their "warranty" and they told us it only lasts 30 days!! which is insane because of course nothing will happen in the first 30 days of the purchase .. its a lost cause. They said that we have to pay for them to come out and fix it. JUST DONT DO IT.

A very happy returning customer who has had nothing but great experiences with furniture and mattresses. Alex spent so much time explaining different features of all the top brands of mattresses. This was so important for us as my husband has back issues. They even have a big selection of the “Purple” Mattresses to choose from which are all the rage!

My mother and I had SUCH A GREAT experience with Trevor Mackey over at Ashley’s in Fairfield, there was no way we couldn’t sing his praise. We originally came in just to browse, but wound up seeing a living room set my Mom loved. As we were sitting on it, he came to chat, but in a very conversational way. He wasn’t shooting off a round of questions or being pushy…just chatting. We needed to take some measurements and told him we’d be back. We wound up coming back that week and going straight to him. He was quick, efficient, got us a great deal, and gave us some recommendations/ideas on other items. When I tell you exceptional customer service, didn’t follow us in that “creepy furniture store sales” way and made it a great experience…5 stars!!

My fiancé and I went shopping for a new couch yesterday as we just moved into our apartment the day before and had no living room furniture. We were greeted at the door by Lina. She immediately understood my style and what we were looking for in our new couch. She put up with all of my annoying requests and finally found us a couch that checked all of my boxes! But we have such a weird layout in our new apartment, that I was worried it wouldn’t fit right. Then Justin came in and developed an entire plan for our living room. He sold us immediately on the couch and a sofa table (which we didn’t even know existed before yesterday) to bring the entire space together. It felt as though we met up with some friends for coffee and then happened to buy brand new furniture in the meantime. Terrible experience. Couch delivered with a broken frame. Technician came to look at it said I needed a new chaise. Chaise was being delivered when drivers had a difficult time getting it into my home and damaged my door by pushing the chaise through the door which then ripped the chaise. The chaise also had a broken frame. Two months from purchase, I still don’t have a full couch that cost $1,800. Don’t use Ashley.

From the moment we stepped in, Matt's genuine care and attention to our needs were evident. Unlike other sales experiences, Matt didn't bombard us with a sales pitch; instead, he took the time to truly understand what we were looking for. We ended up purchasing the Tanavi 2-Piece Modular Loveseat in the beige linen color, and it has been an absolute gem in our home for the past 6 months. Matt wisely advised us to consider purchasing insurance for our light-colored linen sofa, and it has provided us with peace of mind against potential stains. When I walked into Ashley I had done my research and had no intention of making a purchase that day. I had researched 3 other competetive stores and planned on making my rounds in person before making my purchase. Then I met Henry. He was able to understand exactly what I wanted and eased my fear of stepping out of my comfort zone...which i really wanted to do. He understood design, warm vs cool colors...and put me at ease with my ideas. Horrible customer service. We just purchased a dining set and 2 accent chairs like about 2 weeks ago. Everything got delivered on March 1st. One of the delivery person was TRYING to carry the dining table top himself and of course it was too heavy for him. He couldn’t handle it and had to put it down hard before even got to the house. They didn’t have any type of tools to help them carry heavy furniture and I don’t understand why they couldn’t carry together because there was 2 of them. When they were trying to assemble the dining table, table was upside down and they were putting the legs up. They were walking on the table and leaning over the table. At the end of course table was damaged and 3 out of 8 chairs was damaged and we wanted to send those back. Delivery person accepted to take 3 chairs back but kept saying we’re going to get contacted about damaged table and he doesn’t want to take that. When delivery people still in our youse, we called the customer service to confirm which items are going to get redelivered abd she said only 3 chairs. We said table also damaged so that needs to get redelivered. She stated that delivery person said that table was good. We explained her the situation and she had to talk to delivery person next to us and tell him that he HAD to take the table back as well. After that he was trying to un assemble the legs and while doing that he scratched our tiles. It was so hard he had to take the table back with 1 of the legs still assembled. We talked to couple customer service people on the phone to confirm the items re-delivering because every person was giving us different information. At the end we confirmed and they said we can get the re-delivery earliest on March 7th and we said friday March 8th is better so we set everything up for March 8th. We just got a call stating only 1 chair getting delivered on March 5th so we were confused and call them back. They said that because of the delivery person’s error they have to do some stuff on their end and they don’t know when the table is going to get delivered. So no they are saying 1 chair is getting delivered on March 5th we don’t know when other 2 chair or the table getting delivered even though we were given date. We talked to the customer care people, store people, managers, everyone we can talk to and all they say is they say is there is nothing they can do. We have to wait and hope for the best about delivery date. I’ve never seen customer service like this. We accepted the re-delivery instead of refusing everything because they tolda us everything would be here in a week. Now we are mad and want to return everything. And they are telling us we can keep 5 chairs we accepted and cancel the re-delivery items (3 chairs and the dining table). I guess that makes sense to 3 years old. I don’t know how this people still in business. Horrible customer service. You got away with this saying this is the policy. But there is no policy for giving us the delivery date and then changing things up. Never going back there. So sad we didn’t even want much other than them keeping their word. But I guess that is too much for them. Hopefully Ashley employees who helped (not really) us, would go through the same experience We went through. That is all i am going to say. Disappointing

We received a delivery of a dining set and two accent chairs. Three dining chairs and the table top came damaged. When we showed it to the delivery driver and stated that we didn’t want those pieces, he kept refusing. He kept stating he would get trouble and went as far as lying to the representive on the phone. This was all because he didn’t want to unassemble the table. Ultimately, He finally took the damaged pieces after constant back and forth. Him lying has lead to a form having to be filled out to correct the order since he had said the table delivered. This has created delays and now we have no clue when we will get the remaining pieces. After all these inconveniences, the store has been extremely rude and taken no accountability. Worse than everything is that our tiles were damaged while they were unassembling the table and we can’t return what they already delivered. NEVER GOING BACK!

We wanted a new couch so we checked out Ashley. It was the first store we checked out and after about an hour we were walking away with a couch. The whole experience was pretty good. The store was pretty easy to get to and there was tons of parking. It seems like the salesmen must work only on commission because they were hungry. I guess ideally I usually prefer to just walk around and browse by myself, but by the end of the experience I was happy that Justin was there to guide us through the store. He knew so many dimensions off the top of his head, it was crazy. They also offer drinks like water and coffee which is a nice touch even though we didn't take them up on it. We narrowed it down to a few different couches and then Justin gave us time to ourselves so we could sit and talk everything through privately. Eventually he came back and answered any final questions and we made the deal happen. It is worth noting that the prices online were better than all of the posted prices in the store, but when we mentioned it they were able to match the online price and Justin explained that the posted price is the price if you do financing, but the price was lower if you pay in full. It sounds like there might have even been more room to negotiate further, but we didn't push too hard or anything. If you order online, they offer a 5% discount for health care workers, but they don't offer that in the store. The price online are a little more expensive for delivery and it takes 4 to 6 weeks, but our couch that we got in the store could have been delivered as soon as a week which was nice. They push pretty hard for the protection plan in the store so maybe the commission is higher on that or something, but we declined it. You can expect the protection plan to cost about 10% of the total cost of the furniture and shipping is between $100 and $200 for the average stuff. Of course that stuff could always change in the future, but if you're reading this review, I guess you're looking for extra information before you go in so I told you everything I could. Ashley has a great selection and a pretty comfortable environment so give it a whirl.

Well, this review is going to be strange because it started out wonderful and the timeframe of delivery was acceptable until I realized the salesman in the store ordered me the wrong chairs when they were delivered. I went to the store physically the day after and that’s three days ago and I still haven’t heard whay the plan is on doing about the exchange of them. The salesman said he was going to call corporate the next day and get back to me immediately and like I said it’s been a couple days he has not called me back

As soon as I walked in Justin was there to help. He wasn't hovering or overbearing. He was very personable and helpful. It was as if we became fast friends. Nit to mention his DASHING BEARD! Any additional purchases I will definitely come back to him.

Furniture store and staff were excellent. We purchased a new completely wooden dresser and it was set up for delivery with a financing option right on the spot. Simple service with a smile is their top selling point. None of the Sales folks were pushy and it took us a while to pick out our dresser, but they were patient and waited for us to test them all before choosing the one we wanted. Would go back again!

Bait and switched me on the frame. My understanding was I was getting a discount, not a cheaper item. Mattress is good though, and I guess I could return the frame if I wanted to pay the difference. Kind of a pain though.

Justin is amazing, super friendly and extremely helpful. Never once was aggressive in trying to get that sale like some people are. He gave plenty of space for us to look around. He made the ordering process so smooth and at the end I feel like I have a new friend.

Do NOT purchase any warranty for their products because they will not honor it. We have had our couch 3 years and our dogs accidently peed all over our couch and we were assured by our salesperson that pet urine is covered as stated in the warranty terms and conditions. Guess what? Did you know that they don't cover "odor"? So apparently pet urine can't smell or they won't cover it. I spent hours on the phone and online to put a claim through with zero help with them just talking in circles with no resolutions. Completely disappointed and disgusted at this company that does NOT support families with pets, because if we knew this was not covered we would of never purchased this type of couch because you can't even take the covers off to clean it and it saturated into the frame so it is basically destroyed.

My building has requirements for after 9am delivery which was communicated a month in advance. They tried to deliver the couch at 6am and charge me for a $99 reschedule fee when it was not my mistake.

I'm going to start on a good note the show room floor is clean and very well organized. I was going to buy a couch and a kitchen table set. BUT I'm not going to name, names the sells person that was helping me asked if I know how to speak Spanish I told him *little bit" (in Spanish) he started insulting me in front of my face in Spanish I understand what he was saying. They also claim to be a manager, I end up walking out and taking my business else where. I'm happy I did that because no one should ever be treated like that.

Great showroom experience and then downhill from there, rapidly. Their tactics post sale are most kindly described as entrapment. If ANY single piece of a delivery has issues, refuse it all. Every single item. It's the only way to cover yourself. First delivery, everything boxed except side rails of bed which prevents everything from being put together. The side rails were wrapped in plastic unlike all other pieces and were blatantly used, missing chunks, bent screws, etc. Not an honest mistake. This was a deliberate attempt to deliver used merchandise. Second delivery, boxed rails, it all goes together and the adjustable platform wobbles around on the unsecured slats like this is a rickety old bridge. But... You can't return the platform because you accepted delivery last time instead of refusing everything because we deliberately sent you a single component of used merchandise. Now if this was all on the same day, we'd take the platform back no questions asked. 5k+ on a bed, platform, and mattress and their solution is that I start modifying the bed with Velcro tape and anti skid pads, I kid you not. Because securing the additional slats would crack the bed frame. This is the top quality product you're paying for folks. Buyer beware. Go to IKEA and at least you get what you pay for at way... Way... Waaaay less cost. Oh, and all the slats are secured on an IKEA bed!

Horrible. Won't replace it. Had to report them to better business bureau. Then, they gave me a new one.

1 Nightstand- got a new one 2 Nightstand – had stain for tissue box. I just kept it. 3 Draw Dresser- Replaced 3 times. Holes, pealing and scratched. Drawers not closing. Had to record a video of me sticking finger nails in cracks because they didn't believe me. 4 Chest- had problems with one draw and my husband fix it. Got 2 new ones that did not fit. Wrong gliders. Only fit on the original drawer I went to the store. The lady in the store took my information and I sent her pictures of the damage. She said she will show her manager when she's in. The next day I went back to Fairfield and found out she was the manager!!! Ordered bedroom set in July 2022 but furniture got delivered in October 2022. Had all the correct and new pieces by the end of July 2023. Which took exactly one year. -Ordered from Ashley furniture in Fairfield NJ horrible service and rude people. Overall, -They did not believe me about the dresser I had to keep recording videos. - Bad communication skills. Said were coming and were not. -Said I closed and opened cases which I did not. -Said called and left messages and they did not. They emailed me instead. -Pieces keep getting delayed for months. - One time the workers delivered a damaged piece they were supposed to take damaged pieces back and did not. -Scheduled appointments and cancelled 2 days before and said I never made one.. I ordered a sofa from Raymor and Flanigun and there was a little scratch on it. I just emailed them and sent two pictures and didn’t even talk to them on the phone. Ashley is a big project when you do this. Order from Raymor or a different place. Just not Ashley.

Ryan went above and beyond, very knowledgeable and highly professional. Justin was also amazingly helpful and courteous. Recommend this store 10 times over the nearby competitors! The other guys are severely lacking (we tried them all) but Ashley was far and away the best!

Bedframe- Perfect1 Nightstand- got a new one. Had cracks 2 Second Nightstand - had stain for tissue box. I just kept it.3 Five drawer dresser- replaced it 3 times. Had a big hole in the back and refused to give me a new one. I reported them to Better Business Beau and they gave me a new one. New one had cracks and material peeling in drawers. They didn't believe me with the cracks. I had to record myself sticking my finger in the cracks. Then they gave me a new one.4 Dresser draw in chest- Replaced 3 times. Drawer not closing. I can't recommend enough that anyone stay AWAY from this location. From deliberately deceptive sales tactics, to the lack of accountability, this has been a horrible experience. Lou, the salesman, attempted to pressure us into purchasing a product we did not want, lied about the estimated delivery time, and now refuses to contact us. We've been hung up on by Angela and treated unbelievably rudely by Christina. Finally, speaking to a manager Yuriel and hoping to have found a solution, he has now also gone missing and nobody from Ashley will return our calls. We've purchased several products from Ashley's in the past and this situation is beyond reconcilable. Nearly two months later and we've had to change plans, live in discomfort, and still have no idea when our merchandise which we have already paid for will be received. The next step is the BBB but seriously, avoid this place. There are plenty of other retails. Update: the store now refuses to answer our calls, the email customer support stopped responding, as did twitter support. As of this moment we’ve received no information from our salesman Lou, the store supervisor Yuriel, and tonight Annie was the receptionist that hung up on us. We do not know if or when the merchandise we’ve already paid for will be delivered and there has been zero accountability on the part of Ashley’s.

When we walked into Ashley Furniture in Fairfield, NJ, yesterday, we were greeted warmly by JUSTIN. After we shared a few laughs, we explained our needs to Justin to furnish our new family room and he was there to help. He showed us several options for sectionals before we found the reclining sectional we would eventually purchase. Justin “did the math” (CONFESSION - I’m terrible with measurements!) with all the calculations to help ensure that the pieces would fit along with lots of measuring. He was absolutely lovely to work with, knowledgeable of your products, so very pleasant and calm and extremely helpful. Justin even went the extra mile and offered us his cell phone number to stay connected throughout our shopping experience to offer his help in any way he could as we made our decision. We were later introduced to TREVOR, who assisted with the financing piece and ended up wrapping up our deal on Justin’s behalf. Again, we had another lovely experience working with him too. Trevor is wonderful salesman, also knowledgeable of the products and cares about his customers. Truth be told, we actually left Ashley to do a bit more furniture shopping and run some errands before finalizing our choice but agreed that both Justin and Trevor were the people we wanted to work with and give our business to and ended coming back very late that evening and purchased our furniture. We’d been to many, many stores but Justin and Trevor earned our business in their professionalism, care and special handling of our needs. After nightmare inducing experiences being stalked by employees at other stores, Kim was a ray of sunshine. She helped us with everything we needed and did not put any pressure on us at all. I was looking for a comfortable leather power recliner and they Only had 2 power recliners that were leather or leather type. After I told them I didn't want a super wide recliner. Salesperson said well leather means ummm....I said, what does leather mean? (I asked because she stopped mid sentence.) Then she said leather means "wide." Which is incorrect. Based on the severe lack of selection and poor knowledge & poor customer service I left. Very disappointing.

If I could give it 0 I would. Came in and was planning to buy just a table but I was convinced to buy the whole set so it'll just be one delivery.... That didn't happen. They forgot to load the table I original wanted from the gecko. They only delivered the 2 chairs. How am I suppose to have a dinner party with no table. A joke. And then I was so upset with not having the table that I just signed off in the chair. Well then after I noticed there was a tear on the chair. Since I didn't inspect it well, it was my fault and they wouldn't replace the chair. Wtf! I didn't even plan on buying a chair. Almost $2k of just a table and 2 chairs with horrible policy and rules. The table came a week later after my dinner party. A joke! Their service was great and their staff was nice but the company sucks!!!! Never buying from Ashley furniture ever!!! I had to take another day off since they don't deliver on Sunday. Used up another vacation day waiting for them to deliver. The worst part, I requested a super early delivery and they delivered mid-day. I couldn't even just be late. But ended up just taking the day off. Such a joke of a company. With the whole chair situation, they offered to give me a discount but the warranty will be voided. I should've just taken the discount cause I just realized the warranty is probably worthless. It's better to buy from Amazon or Costco atleast they would take it back if there was an issue. The discount was like $17.50 wtf it won't even cover me getting it fixed. I didn't even use the chair but they still wouldn't replace it. Their system is so archaic but just buy from Amazon don't get anything from Ashley furniture.

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. They sold me a protection plan that couldn't be used on the furniture I bought. They said they best they could do was sell me a replacement for a faulty piece Lol. What a joke. I had to chase them down for over a year to get some answers. Never ever again will I buy from them and I'll tell all my interior design clients to also stay away.

I wish I could give this company 5 stars solely based off the sales customer service in store. Team that assisted my family and I were so helpful and assisted us in picking what we thought would be the best pieces for our homes. This review is only for corporate.Giving 0 stars to customer service. First, there is nothing "white glove" delivery about the extra you pay for in store. Careless delivery crew who doesn't care about your furniture. Received a defected arm chair, noticed unfortunately after the crew had delivered. Claimed the issue right away the same day. Have been going back and forth with them for two weeks now. Only resolution is them offering to keep sending technicians to my home instead of replacing the piece (as they should if you are expecting to receive brand new beautiful furniture). At one point the furniture is no longer crisp and new after so many hands rip through the couch to try to fix. Spoke to a manager who proceeded to rudely tell me I did not pay full price for my furniture as I was financing it (I was trying to make a point that if a customer is paying so much money for their furniture they should receive top notch service from a company that claims to have such great "service".) it doesn't matter if a customer is paying cash or financing, they are still paying. They proceeded to make condescending comments, so no matter who you talk to at corporate, don't expect a pleasant conversation.Shame that this whole experience has been awful since my family and I have always purchased from them. Needless to say, will definitely be my last purchase with them ever.

I walked into Ashley Home Store expecting the usual ho-hum shopping experience. But then we met Lina, who turned the art of selling furniture into a performance of wit and charm. Her knowledge of the inventory was encyclopedic. In fact, I suspect she might have been downloading updates directly from the Furniture Matrix. She guided us through the labyrinth of home furnishings with a dry humor that would put most stand-up comedians to shame. Every piece she showed us came with an anecdote or amusing quip that added color to the shopping experience. Her knack for matching our taste was uncanny. She'd squint at a table, scrunch her nose, and declare, "That's not you," before leading us to the perfect piece. We left with a dining table so beautiful, even our picky friend (the one who thinks they're the high bar of taste) was impressed. Overall, shopping with Lina was a delightful surprise - a bit like finding a witty comedy hidden in the depths of your Netflix queue. Ashley Home Store, treasure her. I have purchased 2 complete bedroom sets, desk, lamps, 2 living room sets, chairs, and etc. from Ashley. However, this time was horrible. I went into the showroom with a picture of what I wanted and the salesman saw the picture and looked up the item number. I thought that is what he ordered. I thought so!!!! When it was delivered in a rushed manner, I was advised that I needed to check for damages as that was the only time I could have it sent back. There was no damage! Afterwards , I realized that this is the initial vanity that I did not want because it looked cheap to me. The other matched my coffee and end tables which is what caught my attention. Well I spoke with customer service who stated that they needed to contact the store. A few days later I received a call from the store stating that I accepted delivery so I am basically stuck with the item. I have spent well over $20,000 in this store usually cash on the spot and even purchased furniture for my mother. To be treated like this is deplorable! Is Ashley furniture so desperate for a sale of around $600 that they would alienate a regular customer who has spent a significant amount of money there. A loyal customer!!! I have already put in a dispute with the credit card company and thank God I did not pay for this in cash as I have in the past. In addition, Ashley has lost a customer and I will make sure that no one that I know will ever shop there. These reviews will never stop….and the BBB will be contacted as well…. It appears that Ashley believes in different colors of green as do some of these other companies.

I was very happy with the experience I had walking into the Fairfield n.j. store . Justin and Trevor were very helpful with listening to what I wanted and showing me the furniture that I chose. I’ll never go back. Fred was so rude and offensive towards myself and the people I was with. We were rushing through the store because we had already been to 4 other stores and had VERY limited time left to look. After furniture shopping for the last couple hours, we knew what style, size, and color to look for. Most couches were either an outdated style, had awful fabric, distasteful metal embellishments, and/or cup holders. Fred said very rudely that we were going too fast and didn’t even sit on anything. Tone is everything, and this man was condescending. If he had been making a joke, poking fun, it would have felt less like harassment. We had to explain that I needed to get to school by a certain time (to pick up my child) and that we decided to squeeze in one more place. I wish I had said that if I saw something worth sitting on, I would have given it a try. That’s not how to make sales, Fred!

Hello, I am extremely disappointed with Ashley Furniture. We ordered an outdoor set and when the piece arrived, there was a huge rip in the couch. We paid for a complete set - not a damaged one. We were told we’d have to return the entire set or accept as is. We took a day off from work in order to be home and available for delivery. This is unacceptable.

I am moving to my first apartment on my own and Justin was extremely helpful in finding the perfect furniture for me. I didn’t feel any pressure and he has a lot of great insights. TK was awesome as well!

Just bought a dining table and chairs at Ashley. At delivery, I noted a few small things that I brought to the attention of the delivery men. They advised that they would take photographs, which I watched them do, and someone would be in touch. After they left, we sat in one of the chairs and it collapsed. When we turned the chair over to see what happened, we saw that someone had broken the leg and put a few screws in it that cracked the wood. We could not believe that anyone would deliver new furniture this way. Someone could have been seriously hurt on top of it. The customer service team has been rude during both calls - first telling me it was my problem for accepting delivery, no apologies and most recently interrupting me and suggesting a solution that I said was not acceptable. This should have been handled immediately with the first phone call given the circumstances. Regarding the initial items in delivery, they have offered zero help. The two male customer service reps were condescending and dismissive. Absolutely unacceptable and this will be my first and last purchase at Ashley. Shop elsewhere.

The worst customer service. We bought a sectional and recliner and the 5 year worry fee experience. After 2 1/2 years the recliner broke so we call for repair and they told us only the sectional was covered. That was never explained to us and how do you not cover something with moving parts. We just call the store and were hung up on. Do not buy anything from them.

I found the perfect sofa and love seat for me and my family! The Sales Representatives were very friendly and helpful in showing me and my husband a variety of furniture items to choose from at the store!! 5 stars for our sales person, Lou, and the delivery people. 1 star for the actual couch itself. Our place smelled so bad when they unwrapped and left the couch. We thought we could manage, so we tried enjoying the couch and sitting on it. An hour later, our nostrils started to burn, nausea and headaches through the roof, realizing the fumes from the couch was the cause. We opened all doors and windows of our apartment. We immediately lodged a complaint with Ashley furniture and asked if there are any formaldehyde or other chemicals as it smells so bad. We were told no chemicals are used and that we needed to “calm down” (verbatim was told this). The associate offered to have a tech come and inspect it, to which we declined and stayed outside whole day instead. It has been a month now and still the sofa reeks, even with an air purifier in place. You can’t even comfortably lay on it with your face close, otherwise your nostrils will have the burning sensation. It’s concerning health wise but it’s the only couch we have and Ashley won’t take it back.

Justin was very helpful and professional. I was very happy with his natural charisma, outgoing personality. He knew all about accent chairs, coffee machines, and really expensive carpets. I was most impressed with his beard, and how he lost his accent from Minnesota. Number 1 employee in my book.. will be doing buisness with him again.

I bought a mattress. It was what I wanted when I tried it in the store. When it was delivered it was completely different from what I ordered. It was a very hard one. Went to the store and they told me the one on their floor was there for over 3 years. They didn't tell me that and now I am stocked with a mattress I hate.

Got a good deal on a clearance item. The only help offered for removing it from the store was allowing me to use a furniture dolly that was kicked in my general direction. Store was clearly understaffed and that was illustrated by the curt manner of their sales people. The associate that rang us up seemed annoyed we weren’t buying something from their regularly-priced inventory. The only reason we completed the transaction was because we got a chair for a fraction of the retail price. (Floor sample). Probably not heading back there any time soon.

Purchased a couch in August. The delivery drivers were lazy and didn’t want to unwrap it and wanted to rush out the door. I didn’t want to sign the paperwork so they informed me that I had 48 hours to report any damages and send the couch back. Was able to look at the condition of the couch within an hour of delivery find a very larger rip in the ottoman. Called their customer service line and they told me once it was delivered they wouldn’t replace it or accept a return (again I called within an hour of the delivery guys leaving). They offered to deliver a replacement part which they did but the part didn’t fit and the guy who came to fix the couch told us we would have to get a different one. This was in September and the issue is still outstanding so I won’t be shopping here again when I have to replace their ripped couch.

Alex was so so helpful in walking us through the process of purchasing and protecting our beautiful new couches, and we can’t wait to work with him again!

We traveled a long distance to find the perfect sectional. Ashley Furniture, Fairfield was our 2nd stop out of 8 stores in our mission to find a new sectional. Immediately we were scooped up by Lina. She asked about our space and what we were looking for. So we explained our space and how limited we were with space, but had our hearts set on a sectional. So we began our search. Lina not only took time to understand what were looking for, but also asked imperative questions. After several examples of possible options, we decided that we had possibly found the ‘one’. But we didn’t pull the trigger, we decided to go to other furniture stores to see what could be comparable if not better. We only found sales people who half heartedly tried to persuade us into sectionals that were either too big or just not meeting our requirements. We aren’t picky people, but when your about to drop 4-5000 dollars on a piece of furniture you want it just right. After feeling disheartened, we came home empty handed. But the one thing that did stick with us was Lina! She left an impression on us and her selling points were on point (no pun intended). After spending a week trying to figure out what to do, we went back to Lina and decided to go with the one she had sold us on. Lina is a huge asset to your establishment, she went above and beyond selling us on the sectional we ended up purchasing. We will definitely refer Lina to our friends and family!

UPDATE: Less than 4 months of use and the sofa is full of fabric pills and according to Ashley Store, they don't cover that problem. Basically, we have bought $3,500 sofa made of cheap materials and even though we have added their damage plan, we didn't get any assistance on this issue. That's the first and last time we chose Ashley to buy furniture. I have never had problems with sofa before it was a big disappointment.

If you’ve had a long day and are looking for a nap, I suggest asking Ryan or Trevor about mattresses. It’s a great excuse to lay down for awhile - with top notch mattresses and pillows. Not only were they knowledgeable, but Ryan’s voice quietly relaxed my husband into a dream-like stupor (and then I could spend all his money on the full 6-piece bed set & 12-piece mattress bundle). Worst place I've ever been to. Management sucks. Employees are treated like garbage. Cult-like atmosphere. Protection plans don't cover animals claws or jaws. Sales people are trained to scam you, do not ever buy from here. Assembly costs so much and protection plan fees are hidden in price. Go somewhere else.

So, I'll say that my wife and I planned on doing some window shopping and some furniture comparison between Ashley and the three other competing furniture stores in the lot they share. I'm glad we decided to look at Ashley, because I doubt we would have bought something if Ryan and Trevor hadn't been there assisting us from start to finish. The two of them were both extremely personable and held a plethora of knowledge about their products. They helped us pick out the couch and bed we will be using for the next decade, and insured the next time we need a piece of furniture, our first stop will be Ashley on route 46. If you aren't sure exactly what you want, talk to Ryan or Trevor and they'll get you what you need.

I usually do not write review but this ugliest incident at Ashley Homestore located in Fairfield, NJ made me do so for first time in my life. We had good experience at the same store 3-4 years back so went to that store again. We went to Ashley to buy a regular sofa and a queen size mattress on Columbus Day for my in-laws, the agent named as Trevor greeted us and was very funny. We knew which sofa we wanted as we had seen it already previously, so Trevor helped us with mattress. We asked for the pricing for both, and Trevor came up with decent price after talking to his manager. But we decided to wait and discuss at home as both the items were for my in-laws. After the discussion, we went back to same store after couple of days. We asked for Trevor but unfortunately, he wasn’t at Store at that time, so another agent started helping us. He was able to pull up the Trevor’s pricing. As a customer I just wanted to negotiate the price so I asked for the little lower price, the other agent said he can not do any better price, so I requested him to talk to Manager and work on it. The agent went and talked with manager and said same thing, so I requested if I could talk to Manager and there you go, MANAGER named as ANGEL ESTEVEZ was right their working on something and listening to our conversation. The Manager jumps in and starts saying “We cannot do anything on the pricing” at high pitch. So I went politely and request him to listen to me but in his high pitch angry voice he said “We can not do anything on Pricing, We do not want to do business with you”. I was completely surprised and softy I asked if I can talk to his boss and again with his high pitch he said “I am the boss here, this is my building”. I was upset as well but kept my calm and told him that he shouldn’t be taking to customer like this. But it didn’t change anything and then we had to leave the Store. I did go back and ask for his business card and to my surprise again he showed me his business card in his phone and inform me to take picture. He told me that he doesn’t have the physical and Ashley don’t give them business cards anymore. I took the picture (image attached) of his business card from his phone and took off. As per the card, he was Senior Sales Manager.

When I say this was the best sectional experience ever, it’s putting it mildly. Ryan was super knowledgeable, patient, not pushy at all. I’ve been at other Ashley stores but this was unlike any other. Ryan’s customer service would make us drive back from Queens NY to jersey for any other furniture purchase. Super happy with our purchasing experience!

I can’t say enough about Ashley. I have been a customer for 20 years and we went back again to get new sofas and I am so happy to find ones we love. I want to especially thank Victor and Angel for all their help. They were courteous and super helpful in finding our sofas. We appreciate it!!

They over charged me on my Ashley account and when I question it no one knew anything and try to say it was a Section of the sofa that I still didn’t have. How do you charge me for something I don’t even have knowing that you guys charge when we receive the items… not to happy with them …

The store is very clean and they have a great selection of furniture! Their employees are very friendly and were extremely helpful!

We came into Ashley furniture today, not sure what to expect and we were approached by a very pleasant gentleman, named Justin. We were very happy with the selections offered in this store and we quickly fell in love with “our table!” Our family of four immediately agreed upon the same one . Justin was patient and very knowledgeable . He helped us by allowing us to talk back and forth to ensure that we were in fact making the BEST decision for our layout. He provided us with different scenarios as well as different payment plans. He is definitely a great salesman … not pushy or overbearing, yet extremely helpful . Thank you to Justin for helping to make this arduous process an easier one !

Received an email about a scheduled delivery. Apparently there was a system error. Scheduled my delivery for a Friday time frame 745-11. The guys showed up at 7, while I was not home, drivers refused to come back. Scheduled the delivery for today September 8,2022. The headboard for the bed was missing a piece. So I had a dresser, a mirror and vanity two night stands, a king mattress against my wall, two boxes of rails. I purchased this back on July 17th. Worst experience I have had. Update. Received the piece, delivery drivers were great however, the mattress I was sold king does not fit the bed because the bed requires a California king matrress. This whole process has been extremely frustrating. I don’t know what else to do

On 9/7 my wife and I visited the Fairfield store and were greeted by Ryan. We explained we were in search of a bedroom set and mattress. Ryan showed us exactly what we were looking for and even went to the extent to help us color coordinate with our bedroom at home. He went into great detail about each piece we looked at and made us feel 100% comfortable with the decision we made. We were then guided over to Matthew who helped us select our mattress. He showed us some great mattresses but even after trying some I had some doubts about if I truly wanted to make the purchase our not. Matthew did not hesitate and asked what was holding me back. I explained my dilemma about why these brands over the numerous others I have been seeing ads for. After his explanation of everything I was sold and we made our purchase of the bedrooms set and mattress. Both of these gentlemen were exceptional. I'm sure we will be back for more purchases in the future and look forward to seeing and working with both of them again!!!!

Very expensive for the product.

We were helped by Steven & Tk while shopping for a couch for my new apartment. Both were extremely professional, friendly & SO easy to work with!

Ryan and Trevor were great to work with and made purchasing very easy. One of my main issues when making a purchase like this is how pushy the salespeople are and how strong they are pushing just to make a sale. I didn’t get that feeling at all and it is the main reason I went back to complete my purchase.

I ordered a table with 6 chairs in January. The worker told me i would receive the table in 2 weeks. I received the chairs after some time but never received the table which i already paid for. I called them several time for the table and every time they tell me the table will come next months its not in stock right now. Its been 8 months i have been calling them and asking about my table but they didnt deliver it yet i have chairs but no table to eat on and it is very hard for me because i have alot of guests coming over. I asked if i could return the chairs so that i chose a diff table and chairs but they said I cannot return the chairs. The worker guaranteed tht i will get my table in 2 weeks but never did. Everytime i call no one listen now i will have to go to their store. Their service is really bad I wouldn’t buy furniture from them again. Shame on Ashley’s for not taking care of their customer. I would give Ashley’s 0 stars. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone to get furniture from them.

Large showroom and great selection of furniture. Our salesman Matt was awesome! Will definitely go back and will recommend to others.

My husband and I worked with Kim and TK to furnish our new home. It was a seamless process, and we are so excited to have our furniture delivered. Both sales associates were personable and made us feel right at home in the store. They gave us space and time to shop but were readily available when we had questions. Almost all 20 pieces that we purchased are in stock and will be in our new home before we know it. Thank you, Kim and TK!
