I recently purchased a mattress from Ashley Furniture, and I am extremely dissatisfied with both the product and their customer service. After only a short time of use, the mattress started leaning to one side, which clearly indicates poor quality. When I contacted Ashley Furniture to resolve the issue, they completely failed to honor their warranty. Despite multiple attempts to get assistance, I was met with long delays and unhelpful responses. When I finally spoke to a representative, they told me that my warranty claim wouldn’t be honored, even though the mattress was defective. I was promised follow-up calls and updates, but they never came. Every time I tried to escalate the situation, I was either put on hold for long periods or given vague, dismissive answers. It’s been weeks now, and my issue remains unresolved. Ashley Furniture's lack of support and their failure to stand behind their warranty has completely destroyed my trust in their company. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from them to look elsewhere if you expect reliable customer service and products that are actually covered by a warranty..

At first, we had a great experience with Pinkey picking out our couch. She was very helpful in that process, but it is what happened afterwards that makes me write this review. We bought our couch in september. We were told delivery in mid october which was fine because we were moving in in the first week of october. Mid october came and we were told another two weeks. Then from there another two weeks. And now another two weeks. This is a six week delay without a couch with no good explanation. Reaching out to our sales person, she said she originally told us the couch was sold out, which she did not! We made it clear that we did not want to buy a sold out couch because we didnt want delays like this. She informed us this couch was not sold out, but is now going back saying she did inform us. This is beyond frustating and managment has been no help. This is beyond ridiculous, and I do not reccomend buying a couch from here unless you want to wait 3 months for it to come.

Bought a power recliner, for a family member who just had major surgery. Chair arrives damaged, cannot reach anyone reliable to get someone out to repair chair, that cost a small fortune. When he reclined chair back it would not come all the way forward, he was stuck. Unacceptable. Thank God a friend had just walked in and was able to help him. If I can't reach anyone of help today, my attorney and the better business will be called. We bought this chair so he would be able to be comfortable and sleep in it. Very disappointed with the whole Ashley staff and business. I will be contacting the BBB. ALSO STOPPING CC PAYMENT, TILL THIS IS RESOLVED PROPERLY. IF ANYONE HAS YHE REPAIR DEPARTMENTS PHONE # here in NJ I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.

Walked in to the store and was about to walk out when Pinky caught me and made sure I knew about the crazy sale they were having. She was so pleasant and knowledgeable that I decided to listen. She was able to put together a deal that I could not refuse, getting me exactly what I needed. She works fast, got me approved within seconds and took off a little extra to make it worth my time. I went into 4 stores today and not one sales person was able to get my attention. This girl knows her products and how to make it a win-win for her customer. My son will be so excited with his new furniture and mom and dad are thrilled with the quality and price.

Never Ever buy anything from here . They convince us to buy anything will fill return guaranty . When we actual want to return or exchange they ask us for fee which they never told when buying . I had very worst experience wasted my money on the items which I don’t like and which I can’t return or exchange . We aware that they speak sweetly when you are buying a product . Afterwards they don’t care . We had very worst experience with pinkey . Also our delivery dates are not confirm of the others products . It’s really disappointing.

I had a wonderful experience at Ashley’s in Freehold because of my salesperson , Pinkey. I walked in 30 minutes before closing time on Friday night, and she greeted me with a smile like she had all the time in the world to help me. I don’t like salesperson following me around, I like to ask for help when I need it , and I let her know that from the beginning and she was extremely respectful of that. I needed additional time to bring my son back for potential more purchases the next day, and she walked us around multiple options for bedroom sets and living room furniture for another two hours. I wanted to make one more stop to check something out for my son’s furniture, and she let me know that was no problem and continued to work in the background helping me while I figured out the rest of my decision. I finally went back Sunday ready to make purchase and Pinkey had everything prepared for me, keeping my choices in mind and not trying to upsell me on things I didn’t need or want. All in all, Pinkey showed me all the patience and flexibility in helping me buy exactly what I wanted. I don’t ever write a review, but felt the need to give her credit for her excellent customer service! Thanks Pinkey for the wonderful experience!!!

Delivery is said 3-6 weeks so not ideal since I have no furniture but overall great experience. Wound up getting three different deliveries for everything and we shall see when it comes.

Do not buy furniture from here!! I purchased a 5 year protection plan, I've had my couch for 3 years. I filed a claim for normal wear and tear; stains, seams undone, etc. I was told the protection plan doesn't cover extensive damage. Again, I've had my couch for 3 years, there's nothing extensive about the damage, the issues I'm reporting are normal and should be covered. Corporate was absolutely no help and neither was this store. I'm so disappointed and will NEVER purchase furniture from Ashley again, the protection plan is a complete ripoff and a scheme to get more money out of people, steer clear of this company!!

My mom told me many goods things about this place, but i was skeptical; especially since i HATE buying furniture. BUT, we both had a lovely experience. The employee who helped us, Pinkey, was insanely helpful and kind, as well as being very knowledgeable on what she was saying about the beds we were interested in. My wife was looking online for a new bedroom set. We saw a few we liked and we ended up choosing one from Ashley. We wanted to take advantage of their extended financing options, so I went into the Freehold store. I was referred to Pinkie, one of their sales people. She was referred to me by Michael, who explained my financing options very well. Pinkie was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable when it came to choosing a mattress style. After taking her advice, and trying a few, we ended up with the right one. I learned so much about mattresses with Pinkie that I now feel like an expert myself! I was very happy with my experience there and the manager took care of the financing part. Overall great experience! Purchased a side table at the Ashley furniture Freehold store. Salesman was very nice and helpful. I paid a private company $200 to have it assembled. After it was completed we noticed that the piece was damaged with cracks and paint coming off. Ashley furniture refused to send out a technician to replace or repair it without charging another $150. I will never go to Ashley furniture again and advise anyone not to use this company. They are only interested in money and not customer satisfaction.

I’m giving a 1 star bc negative stars are not an option. I’m currently going through absolute HELL with Ashley I am advising anyone to stay away! We purchased a couch in June it was delivered in July. Our couch was amazing in the beginning until about 4/5 months in j start to notice dips where we sit. I would fluffy up the couch in hopes it would help when I noticed a rip and a defect in the frame of it I immediately reached out it’s been a week now and we just received a call that nothing can be done. My next step is to contact every new channel out there to let them know the horrible service Ashley ALL around gives! As a small business owner this corporation should be embarrassed $4000 + down the drain. Not to mention we paid $500 for the warranty in which the guy states the couch would be replaced even if needed. Dont waste your time done waste a penny. I would advise someone from corporate to call me to resolve this issue because if not every single news outlet in the tri state area will be called as well as the BBB I will leave a review with pictures and videos anywhere I can.

Went to the store in Freehold looking for baby furniture. The website says you can buy in store. The salesman when we first walked in was terrible, he didn't let us cross the threshold before shaking his head they didn't have what we were looking for. HORRIBLE FURNITURE! If I can give a zero I would. I will NEVER shop here or refer anyone. We purchased a bedroom set for 16 year old. It is not even 2 years old and it is BREAKING. Cracking down the middle of headboard the wood is lifting off the furniture. The head board side rails and foot rest are constantly loosing. To the point where the furniture shakes to the touch. I can not move the bed to clean under it cause of the crack down the middle! Every time I move it I hear cracking. NOW WITH That being said. I HAVE INSURANCE ON IT AND NOTHING CAN BE DONE. They absolutely DO NOT CARE ABOUT IT. My answers are always well sorry your out of the one year warranty (which doesn’t cover breaking) and your insurance does not cover it. 5 year insurance. Only covers accidental damage like stains and stupid stuff. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Now let’s get to the mattress. My box spring is ALL BROKEN ON THE BOTTOM. The wood is literally cracked through the lining of it. My mattress has sunk in about 4 inches since purchase. That happened within 1 month of purchase. NOW it’s just beyond sleeping on.i wake up in agony and bent over with back pain. Once AGAIN NOTHING THEY CAN DO. That goes for ALL 3 mattresses. They are terrible!!!! When I contacted insurance about it they told me well you waking up in pain is not our problem. I have insurance I was within warranty and the time of that complaint AND NOTHING. If you buy furniture from here be aware of THE HORRIBLE FURNITURE YOU WILL RECEIVE AND EXPECT TO BUY NEW STUFF WITHIN A YEAR! In store they were kind, calling this store gave me no issues. BUT ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THIS STORES CUSTOMER SERVICE WERE HEARTLESS. I will be contacting the BBB AND HOPEFULLY GET IN TOUCH WITH CORPORATE. Heck, I might even call Chanel 12 news to tell them my story and put them all on blast. I was very rude with the lady I just spoke to. She was a heartless human being. I am sure if anyone of them had this issue or their children it would be fixed in minutes. I am PISSED BEYOND BELIEF. Spent a almost $8,000 on garbage between my parents purchase and mine! I called a day ahead of my delivery to tell them to call a different phone number than the one they had on file and not only did they fail to call the other number a single time but they even went to the wrong building. I ended up having to reschedule the delivery for two days later, and while they were delivering the couch they took off the plastic wrapping OUTSIDE and then dragged the couch through the grass. One of the delivery men then threw the cushions of the couch on my floor uncovered. Absolutely disgusting customer service that failed to properly relay a simple phone number change, with a lazy and uncaring delivery team that obviously doesn’t care how they get the couch from point A to point B.

I honestly wish I could give the company a zero. When you read this review, you will quickly learn what liars they are. I purchased a couch in good faith on August 20, 2023. After two screw ups, they finally delivered my couch on October 18, 2023. A delivery truck pulled up to my house without a lift gate. One of the men asked to see where the couch was going. When I showed him where it was going, he remarked how difficult it would be to get it upstairs. He went outside to the truck and instructed the man on the truck to simply 'drop' the couch from the truck, which was approximately 5 feet above street level. The guy LITERALLY dropped the couch the 5 feet and the couch bounced off the street. They placed the couch on a dolly and wheeled it into my driveway. He then said, "We should open it here to make sure its ok." I said, How can it be ok since he dropped it on the street." He opened the couch on my driveway, and of course it was conveniently damaged. I refused the couch, called Capital One immediately and they disputed the charge. When they reached out to Ashley Furniture, Ashley stated they delivered the couch and nothing was wrong. I DON'T HAVE THE COUCH. I REFUSED IT. My wife and I then went into the store and the manager Mike stated that he saw on his computer that the couch was credited back to my card. Low and behold, just last week, Capital One charged me again because they said I took possession of the couch I returned. Luckily, I took pictures and forwarded them to Capital One today. Beware of the lies that this company will say to do anything to keep your money. This was the first and last time I will EVER purchase anything again from Ashley Furniture. And now, 7 months later Capital One told me yesterday that Ashley Durniture sent them notice stating I wasn't entitled to a refund because they replaced the couch on November 14. OF COURSE A BLATANT LIE! YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE FOOLISH TO TRUST THESE PEOPLE!! Buyer beware!

I had a horrible experience with Ashley. My furniture was delayed 3 months, when we ordered it they told us we would receive it within a week or two. When it was in stock no one called us, I had to call to check in. When it was delivered they broke the dresser and didn’t notify us. They did order a replacement part but that took an extra month. Overall would not order from here again and would go to Bobs.
Jeff was very helpful with our recent couch purchase. Answered all our questions and was super personable. Never made it feel like he was a hovering sales person interfering with our decision process. Can’t wait for our new couch to arrive.

The delivery is horrible. I’ve been waiting for 5 hours and they still haven’t shown up. Had to cancel plans and I don’t even know if they will show up with my furniture. Customer service at the store couldn’t even tell me what time I will be getting my furniture!

We purchased two couches and an oversized chair in January 2023. They delivered it in March. It lasted about a month. The one couch where we sit most frequently is already sunken because it was so poorly made. I also spent more money on the protection plan, but unfortunately, the protection plan does not cover this. It wasn't expensive furniture. I didn't expect it to last forever, but I did expect it to last for more than a few weeks! I do not recommend any Ashley Furniture!

Bought sofa chair and ottoman from here signed up for warranty after a month the ottoman looked like someone sat on it for 5 years straight the cushion is so lopsided and is permanently shifted to one side went through the steps they sent out some 3rd party seamstress to replace cushion and after 2 weeks it looks worse than the original cushion manager was rude didn’t want to give me a credit … the ottoman was 400.00 dollars will never purchase furniture here again

Pinkey took great care of us. But unfortunately, we had to cancel our order due to unexpected expenses.
Sales person was excellent, Guest Services so far have been a failure. Comfort level of couch in store does not come close to what was delivered...still waiting for resolution. DON'T EVER SHOP HERE, THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCTS. They will not acknowledge their delivered product is not as advertised, as found on all three pieces in their showroom. Ours was manufactured in a different country than the set in store, thus different comfort levels. Instead of settling into the cushioning, the cushioning is so hard it is painfully uncomfortable. Their solution is to "let it wear in". My solution was to find one from same country as displayed in store. NO ONE IS LISTENING TO US!
First, the delivery of my couches was absolutely reckless. I was following them around trying to get them to be careful because they had already damaged my foyer in their first attempt. In the process they damaged my freshly painted walls that cost $10k+ to get done. I called Ashley's delivery services immediately and let them know and sent initial pictures. I followed up with more pictures a few days later. Then they said it would be 3-5 business days to hear a response on the damages. Didn't hear from them for two weeks, so I called back to see what's going on. I ended up getting a nasty customer service representative names Samantha that was rude & refused to talk to me since I put the order under my husbands name (out of respect to him) but paid with MY credit card. She also claimed the follow up pictures meant nothing because they were sent after the 72 hour claim period and therefore they are denying my claim for my sofas. I kept telling her that I sent original pictures and reported the reckless delivery within the proper time and these were follow up pictures. Her response was you're not "husbands name" rather than address the issue as a means to not deal with me for OUR couches. Nothing resolved, I'm out thousands of dollars in property damage, a ruined sofa and a lot of aggravation. They just want your money. Unfortunately, I was warned by others that have had similar situations, and I didn't listen. SO BUYER BEWARE.

Had an outstanding experience at this Ashely Furniture location! The selection, quality of furniture, and overall appearance of the store were nothing shy of welcoming. Jeff took care of us, and it was obvious that he was very experienced, personable, and wanted to be in the best interest of his customers. We decided to get a sectional couch and we even had the ability to customize the layout of the chase to our needs. Financing, protection plans, and numbers were all transparent/ reasonable and I am very delighted with my purchase. We were done with the entire process in less than 30 min! Had a damaged couch delivered to my home and have spent 20 days trying to get it replaced. Customer service wants to patch it with a piece of fabric, however, that's unacceptable. They do not offer a manager to speak with without jumping through hoops, and the Freehold store does not answer their phone, which is a shame because we originally had a good experience with the salesman. Very disappointed in the customer service following delivery of a damaged item!

Horrible. Do not buy from ANY Ashley Furniture. Still waiting on something I ordered back in November. It's a never ending cycle. In the bundle of things we bought two items were damaged and again still waiting on it to be fixed. Last year I bought a dresser and the same exact issue happened, but I wanted to give them another chance, such a regret. The man who helped me buy the items was very nice but told us our items would be in a lot sooner than they actually were. It's a huge scam at the end of the day. You buy warranty and are told if you don't use it you'll receive it back, but I promise you, you will be using the warranty from the second your item is delivered. Nasty customer service. Holly from this place is the only nice and caring person, the rest of them aren't helpful and again are nasty. I'm so unhappy with my experience here and I don't wish this on anyone.To the manager. The most recent incident I've been trying to fix with you guys since NOVEMBER!!! Please don't pretend to care because it's been too long to convince me otherwise. Horrible services in all departments. If I could I would just cancel the item completely but then you guys will gain more money from me. Whole thing is a joke at this point.

We inquired about a mattress and he introduced us to the so called expert with mattresses and she was extremely condescending and said she was the nicest person in the store. Terrible Customer service! They never has a direct line to help and must email the service department to call you back. I purchased a table and chairs and within 7 months of purchase, the top middle lifted for no reason, they said it was my fault and did not cover or offer any repair. It took 3 weeks for a technician to come out to look at it. The technician said he could tell I didn't do anything but he wasn't able to repair it as it didn't have screws in that part. Customer service finally called me backend told me it was my fault and I spilled something on it and it wasn't a manufactured defeat, which is NOT true at all. We barely even ate on it and used place mats when we did. I will never purchase anything from there again!

I gave 2 stars because the salesperson tried to be helpful throughout, BUT beyond that, my experience overall was quite disappointing to say the least. In the store we were told that our order would be delivered between 2-3 weeks. That was fine! When we called to set up our delivery, 72 hours later, we were informed that the furniture was back ordered & that it would not be in the warehouse for 6-7 weeks. At that time, we could first set up a delivery date. There seems to be a disconnect between the store & the warehouse. In my dozens of furniture purchases in the past, the store checks availability on the spot & gives you a reasonably accurate delivery range/date. If we were told that the order would not be ready for 2 months, we would not have wasted our time & would have made our purchase elsewhere. We eventually cancelled our order, went to another store & made an order; they checked their warehouse inventory & set a delivery date for 4 DAYS LATER. IMO, this store/company needs to get their communication act together. They’ve lost my business going forward…

This is the worst experience of my life. Spent over $12,000 on 3 rooms of furniture. First delivery crew damaged the furniture and damaged my home and then they had the audacity to offer $300. I told them to send their one people to come fix over $3000 in damages including the floor that was just installed days earlier. Then it took 3-4 more trips to get me non damaged furniture Yes that’s 3-4 more days off of work to sit and wait. One of the beds broke over 2 months ago and yes I did buy the protection package and to date. Still no one has solved the issue or even got back to me. Have emailed them with the pictures they ask for multiple times yet still no response. Maybe this horrible review may get me some help. But you have to be crazy to buy from this company. Everyone has issues that’s not my complaint the fact that they continually ignore the responsibility to me the customer to remedy it makes them a horrible company with no customer service after the fact Update. They asked us to contact the over 2 weeks ago. And guess what. Still nothing. Just window dressing. Thay asked for my number and never called. So again no service at all. Update. Got another call about all the damage they did when delivering. Still no resolution. No repairs done and try to tell me that there’s no issue. I said then my are I calling me? The guy reads the notes says oh now I see all the damage. I will call you back. And yet again. No repairs and no resolution. Going on over a year now.

Here is a lengthy review but take a moment in order to be well informed before you make a purchase with this company. I had a pleasant experience with the sales people. They spent time with me measured my room and way the furniture should fit and did a great job at selling me beds, bedroom furniture, mattresses and even adjustable frames. Delivery day came and the one dresser was cracked, other one had a big dent, night stand chipped. Measurements completely incorrect and dresser would not open in space of bedroom. Adjustable mattress frame did not work. Needless to say I refused the mentioned items and after taking a day off of work had to now schedule another day for delivery day 2. New furniture arrived all worked out. However the new adjustable frame which was well over $1200 did not work again. When calling the store and company was advised that likely the delivery guys don’t know how to assemble and work them. Offered me option for another frame or mechanic to fix. I stated I cannot nor will I take a third day off of work as delivery should be competent enough to assemble and work a brand new frame and to please notify me of delivery time 30 minutes prior. Received a call driver is outside with no prior call. I spoke with store, and customer service to let them know I will be purchasing a bed frame elsewhere and to come pick this one up. Order placed with another company, item delivered at convenience of me the customer, much better quality frame and $400 less. As of now I am still awaiting a manager’s return call to come pick up the frame and refund me my money and the warranty for this horrible adjustable frame and service. I believe his name is Wade as I was passed to multiple numbers and customer service reps and store employees. To sum it up do not EVER buy an adjustable frame from Ashley’s Furniture as their delivery service is incompetent. And be careful and check over the furniture delivered.

Historically, furniture shopping was been extremely difficult based on my indecisiveness, however, Jeff is great at finding recommendations on any style (while making sure you are 100% satisfied before purchasing the order). I wish there were more Jeff’s to work with while shopping for my home!

Had a pleasant experience at this store! Researched online and tried comparing the inventory and prices online vs in-store. Decided to take a look at the store and it turned out to be amazing - one can try out the look and feel of the furniture on display, the prices are super competitive and the deals/ discounts are better than online. George and Shawn at the Freehold store are just amazing. They helped me with understanding the featues and helped compare different models, encouraged to try out the different products, not at all pushy in fact it was a pleasant experience. We just bought bed and mattress from them. Q size. After getting delivery mattress smaller than bed. 10" smaller. Look so bad. They trying to saying they're bed runs little big and mattress should be expended. It's week and same. Nothing helps from them.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. My family bought at sofa and loveseat set in 2020. We were SCAMMED into buying the protection plan with it. We were told by the sales associate that they had a new protection company and EVERYTHING (He specifically stressed everything) would be covered by the premium protection plan. Well 2 years later the sofa is falling apart. The wood underneath is literally on the floor. Call the protection company only to be told the plan we were sold only covers fabric! Called the store and was told to come in and spend more money to have someone come look at it. Called customer service and was told there is nothing they can do!?! This is horrid. I cant believe they just allow the salesmen to lie about what the customers are being sold with ZERO repercussions. No I don't want an email. I want to understand how you allow your sales people to flay out LIE to customers. The ONLY reason we got the plan is because we were told everything was covered. The brochure we were given literally says FRAMES are covered. However we come to find out from the plan company that the one we were sold doesn't include ANYTHING but fabric. So why were we given an informational brochure that says otherwise? No you want me to come back and spend more money for a technician to come look at my couch? I'd rather go to BOBS then ever step foot in your corrupt "business " ever again.

We had a great experience at Ashley’s, and ended up purchasing a couch and a bed frame. As first time home buyers, we had a lot of questions and particular tastes. Sean could not have been more helpful. He offered informative advice and got us the best offer for our furniture. So often furniture shopping can be off putting by pushy workers trying to make a sale, but Sean was the complete opposite. Would definitely recommend and will be going back when we need more furniture.

Where do I begin. I purchased a three piece sectional from this Ashley location in October of 2021. In addition to purchasing the sectional, I purchased the protection plan which was an additional $500. During the time of my purchase, we were in the midst of a global pandemic which effected shipping timelines and inventory. Due to these challenges, the sectional was delivered in two separate deliveries due to product availability. Both deliveries showed up to my home while I was in the process of refinishing the flooring where the sectional would be placed. Because of this, both deliveries were set aside in my dining room until my living room floors were finished. Let’s fast forward 10 months. In August 2022, my partner was standing and placed his left hand on the left arm of our couch during a conversation and the left arm caved in/collapsed. I immediately contacted Ashley customer service to file a claim and was told that because it was structural damage (the frame) and that it was under one year that it would be covered by the manufacturer warranty. They directed me to contact Ashley Guest Services (CSR) to file my claim. I made the call, walked the customer service representative through the timelines, including the multiple deliveries, the fact that I owned the sectional for under one year, and provided “CSR Elena” multiple photos of the collapsed arm of the sectional. I was then told that I would be contacted in 7-10 business days to discuss next steps. I was contacted back by “Elana” and was told that because the flooring in the pictures was different than the flooring in the delivery picture (the pictures that the delivery team took when they delivered the furniture) that my sectional was not covered under the warranty. CSR continually accused me of damaging the sectional when I moved the couch from my dining room to my living room. This was the furthest thing from the truth and a loop hole that CSR exploited to not cover my defective piece of furniture. I continuously pushed back explaining the circumstances around the delivery but was completely unheard as a customer. I was told repeatedly that I would receive a call back from a manager but was never contacted despite a dozen follow up calls from my end. During one of my follow up calls to CSR, I was told by one of the customer service representatives that in my call notes, it stated that I agreed to pay $150 for the repair. This never happened, which means that one of my previous reps must have added false notes into my specific file. I then attempted to escalate this further and wrote an email to corporate but never received a response. I even followed up multiple times on my email chain to corporate and still no did not receive a reply. My last effort was to visit the store of purchase to speak with a manager. The manager and representatives in the moment were understanding, and communicated to me that they would follow up on my case. The store manager Shawn even agreed to follow up with me in 3 business days on a resolution. 3 days went by and I never heard back from the store manager, I followed up and was told that I would have to pay $150 for the repair because I moved the furniture in my own home. At that point out of sheer frustration, I made the $150 payment because my couch was broken for almost 60 days and I wanted my couch back. I learned a valuable lesson about the Ashley Furniture Protection plan and warranty that should be shared. It doesn’t cover a thing, so save your money. If you move furniture in your own home post delivery, they will not cover any sort of damage that will occur. Ashley will in fact use this against you to not cover any damage that may cost the company money. The final lesson is that Ashley doesn't value their customers. If I had the ability to provide a 0 star rating with Ashley Home Furniture I would and more important will NEVER buy a product from them ever again.

Had breakfast with my mom, then decided to stop by the store to look at mattresses because she's wanted a new one for awhile. Within 10min she found the one she wanted, size and frame all for a good deal plus delivery fee waived. Jeff G was the one who helped us and he was wonderful, looked up everything my mother wanted and as I said waived delivery. We would come back and buy from him again. Further I have found the prices competitive and the quality of the furniture outstanding. The purchases that I made were delivered in a timely fashion. I would not hesitate to shop there again .

Very nice collection! Esp for sofa sets and different types of recliners and sectionals. I found them a lil over priced. While I roamed around for 30 minutes in the store, no one asked me if I need any help. May be they assumed I’m not gonna buy anything. Lol. Plenty of parking space.
Absolutely worst customer service ever. I would not recommend anyone buying anything here. Of course they are nice to you when they are trying to sell you the product. But after getting your money they treat you like you’re nothing. I purchased a sectional with ottoman and was told that ottoman will be avail in 4 to 6 weeks. We brought the sectional based on this availability. A month and a half later I called, oh it’s showing 8 weeks from now. Why wasn’t I notify? Oh it’s not our policy to notify. But the store lied to us. How to do conduct business with a promise that you can’t deliver and then can’t even follow it up with an apology is beyond me. Truly disgusted.

Take your money elsewhere. Staff is absolutely clueless!!! Their salesmen are unaware of the promotions/ logistics and will swipe your credit card with no shame. Attempted to purchase a living room set and a dining buffet MONTHS in advance of the delivery date an hour before closing on a Saturday. All we needed was to exchange one dining buffet cabinet for another. Not only were we promised a call back twice and never had it returned (being asked for my call back number FOUR times following two attempts to reach the store), But we were told AFTER purchasing the items that in order to exchange or return an item, that it had to be "in person". To think that was the worst of it... not even Went to make an exchange for the dining buffet in person and they refused to honor the price we originally were offered after they promised they'd honor it. Manager was extremely rude and wanted us to eat the costs although she acknowledged her team provided misleading information and denied that they were capable of price adjusting. Don't let them fool you! All Ashley stores are PRIVATE FRANCHISES- they have the ability to sell you a piece of furniture at the cost they choose. They lost an easy sale upwards of 3k+ simply for their negligence. I canceled the entire order and will be taking our business elsewhere because this location cannot be trusted.

Jenna pointed me to exactly the couch I wanted, measured it for me, waited patiently while I texted and called my husband to discuss, and finally worked with her supervisor to discount the price a little. We worked with Jeff G and Jenna to find a sofa chaise. We had trouble with a competitor cancelling our order after we already dissembled and put it to the curb. Jeff showed us everything that was in stock and explained the process of added an arm to shorten the sectional we saw in store to something that worked perfectly for us. Run far away as possible! I've bought a complete bedroom set from them.. November 2021. They told me we were going to get the bed in January. So the set came in December.. great... but the draws were missing.. they told me that i would get them In Jauary.. then April, then June... it is now July and they are telling me about August something! Meanwhile... I'm paying for this... and Noone is being helpful. I've been on the ozone with the store and the distribution center on numerous occasions. And this has not been resolved! Noone seems to know what is going on and I just wat the stuff that I'm paying for! At this point I am very very upset and have no idea what I should do next! I feel as these people has scammed me! And they don't care cause they have gotten their money! Disgusted disgusted disgusted!

I went to the Freehold Location today. My boyfriend and I were greeted by Amanda, who was very friendly and understanding. She asked us what we were interested in and gave us space to browse. She was not a "vulture/ stalking associate you see at most stores. Her insight opinion and humor made us feel very welcomed. After several back and forth on sofa and her suggestions we found the perfect sofa. The staff at the freehold store was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Not pushy or trying to make a sale. I 100% will be back and recommend.

Went into Ashley’s to buy a furniture set for my new apartment and knew nothing about buying furniture. Jeff was more than helpful and gave his input on each set we looked at. He even looked at my floor plan to see the measurements of how my room should be set up. He also gave us a lot of discounts and was trying to get the price as low as possible, which he did. I may or may not have my furniture on my move-in date, but my experience of shopping for the furniture was great. Jeff was a helpful employee and I thank him for that.

I purchased a sectional and The sales person told me 2 week delivery time at the time of purchase. I also received 12 months APR free financing. Unfortunately for over 2 months I did not receive my furniture and lost 2 months of APR free. After many phone calls, they found the pieces and scheduled a delivery. Once the delivery came I was missing a back cushion. The customer services line was NO help at all. Adding additional fee's and was not helpful at all. Always a different person calling back with a turnaround time of 72 hours. The delivery men even called customer service before I did to notify of the missing piece / issues and it felt like I had to prove the cushion was missing with other issues. BUT GLORIA (office manager) at the actual store in freehold was AMAZING. She fixed and scheduled with no complications. She understood the situation and didn't complicate any thing. I was ready to return it all but Gloria saved the day. Thank you Gloria.

Sales team was helpful when picking out our bedroom set. We ordered late December and knew there would be delays but were told our set would arrive by February. February came and went and no one called to check in and let us know status. We called and were told they were waiting on another piece that should arrive by March. Now we were I. April, past the promised delivery date in March and told them we wanted to cancel. They told us we had to come in to do that. When we arrived the manager told us all pieces were in and he would give us a discount and we could set up a date to deliver. With that we didn’t cancel and we’re told they would call us the next Monday to confirm. They never called. When we called back that Friday they told us we had to wait until JUNE because they said they no longer had the furniture. Needless to say we cancelled. The woman that handles the scheduling and payment is extremely unprofessional, not helpful and has a terrible attitude toward customers. We will never shop here again.

The folks at the Ashley HomeStore in Freehold, NJ were all very pleasant and helpful. I got my delivery shortly thereafter as the couch that I picked out was in stock.Unfortunately, this is where the praise ends. Due to non-visual to inspection manufacturers defect right from delivery, I had to deal with the lack of customer service department and the horrific system they have in place to handle such a situation. (You call a call center, and they email the warehouse. I missed a call and then tried calling back and got the call center again. They say that the warehouse customer service does not have a phone. Interesting, they were able to call me!). Even though I had purchased the extended warranty, despite the fact that this would fall under the normal warranty, I was told by customer service that they would send the part to me as a courtesy!After taking pictures and explaining what the problem was, they sent me the wrong part, which I did not realize until the Furniture Doctor showed up and told me so. I was told by customer service, that they would not take back the wrong part. Ridiculous! I live in an apartment complex, and I cannot just dispose of this part. I then had to wait for the correct part to be ordered and delivered before I could get the Furniture Doctor scheduled and back out. I finally just got my couch repaired, which took 6 months to do. Totally unacceptable!! While I do like my couch, I would never purchase anything from this company again, unless they totally revamp the customer service process.Seeing other posts, I'm obviously not alone and can't believe that this company is still in business. Believe me, I have told family and friends about this experience, and they will never buy from Ashley Furniture either.What a shame!
Sales experience was mostly pleasant with our salesman giving us a little room to breathe to discuss the different pieces we liked in the store. However, only purchase furniture in STOCK at their warehouse. I purchased a 3 piece sectional in Sept 2021. Two of the 3 pieces were delivered in about 7 weeks. I am still awaiting on the final piece to be delivered and every time we contact the store the estimated arrival timeframe keeps getting pushed back due to continued shipping container delays. They keep telling us "we're on the list" but I have no idea how far down. I understand the shipping delays but 6 months (and counting) is getting a little extreme.
First of all, this review is about the staff at the Freehold store, not the furniture. Jeff our salesman was completely unprofessional. When my wife asked who manufactured the piece, he responded "You're kidding me right? You're in an Ashley home store." Jeff continued to be obnoxious throughout the sale. If we had not found exactly what we were looking for, my wife and I would have walked out. Fast forward to today. I received a call from a woman in the store asking me to sign an authorization. I had to ask her three times what am I authorizing? She then explained that they lost the paperwork that I had signed for my Ashley credit card. She wanted me to take care of this immediately. Keep in mind this is Sunday afternoon and we were on our way out. I explained I'd take care of it as soon as possible. In the meantime Gloria Keating the office manager sent me an email with the form as an attachment. Since my wife and I were close to the store (we were attending a wake nearby) we called Ms. Keating to resolve the issue. She immediately became belligerent saying if we did not sent this over immediately someone would come TO MY HOUSE AND TAKE THE FURNITURE. Since we were in the neighborhood we drove to the store to confront Ms. Keating and sign the paper. Ms. Keating is as unpleasant and obnoxious in person as she is on the phone. When I confronted her about her threats and abusive tone she reluctantly apologized and said we misunderstood. There was no misunderstanding. Mistakes happen but it was Ashley's mistake not ours. Don't expect the customer to drop everything on a Sunday to fix YOUR ERROR. At least provide a means to electronically sign the form. I do not have a scanner nor should I be expected to go out of my way. Anyway we spoke with Mike the store manager about Gloria Keating's horrible customer service skills. Mike apologized however he was really not apologetic enough. Neither one should be working with the public. Needless to say we will never be shopping this location again. Horrible horrible staff. We will go to Eatontown where we had a much better experience last year.
Recently purchased a sofa from Jeff, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience as a new customer to the store. I found exactly what I was looking for, and Jeff was helpful (and not overbearing whatsoever which is something I find often in furniture stores.) He was friendly, informative, and answered sny questions easily. After visiting numerous stores and learning the wait time was 3 to 5 months or more, I was happy to learn that my furniture would be delivered within a couple weeks. I have not received it yet, but as for my sakes experience, I’m pleased!! **Update.. My furniture was NOT delivered due to “driver error.” I’m 4 days past my delivery date, and getting no answers to my questions, or any accountability for the problem. FYI - They use a separate company to handle their deliveries, so lots of finger pointing, etc. if there’s a delivery issue.** SECOND UPDATE: After three delivery attempts, my furniture was finally delivered. On the second delivery attempt I was told I gave the wrong address! The same issue as the first time. My furniture was put on a truck to go to New York vs NJ, and I was told there’s “no way it can be delivered.” The number of phone calls I had to make to try and get information was obscene. I had to call another store to get information regarding the warehouse where the furniture was kept. No one had answers, just excuses. And the worst part was, no one would’ve called me had I not gotten my furniture at all, as they weren’t even aware after the second delivery attempt that I hadn’t received my sofa after three days. No one made sure the same mistake didn’t happen again. I have my sofa, and at this point I’m just grateful to have a place to sit. Natalie was very helpful, and was the only person who actually followed up with me to ensure I got my furniture, and I was happy with it. I’m not thrilled with the whole experience, and won’t be buying from them again. Just be aware of what you might be getting into if there is a delivery issue. No one takes responsibility, and you have to do the work yourself to get what you’ve already paid for.

Roxanne was absolutely amazing at helping me find new furniture for my living room. She was so understanding and responsive either by phone or text. She even went above and beyond and created room plans on her laptop to show me what the furniture would look like in my living room arranged in different ways! I always felt like I was talking to a friend more than a sales person. She also worked with me to get the best discounts she possibly could. Go to Freehold Ashley and ask for Roxy. You will not be disappointed.

This young lady drastically, single-handedly, turned a HORRIBLE experience into a better one. Ashley HomeStore it’s a better place because of her. Her management and corporate team should be aware of Natalie’s level of outstanding customer service. Natalie, was the only reason I did not cancel my order. I must’ve had to call her about 12 times due to the fact that my deliveries were purposely damaged by the delivery team, when they realized They had two sets of stairs to climb, to complete the delivery.. I was frustrated. I was angry. I was totally disgusted. Natalie’s calm and understanding personality and display of genuine concern for me as a customer. made the difference. In August 2021 I ordered a bedroom set, mattress and adjustable base from Ashley furniture store in Freehold Nj. I was was told the bed was compatible to this specific adjustable base. I was also encouraged to purchase a tempurpedic mattress because I could exchange it if the firmness was uncomfortable as long as I notified them within 90 days and I got another tempurpedic mattress. I was suffering from a fractured spine so this was a great option for me. Everything was finally delivered the end of September and that very night the bed fell apart. I called customer service.. they exchanged the bed rails. It fell apart again.. they exchanged the headboard. It fell apart again. They sent a service tech the beginning of December who determined that the bed was not compatible to the adjustable base. (Also the drawers on the dresser do not open and close properly. The workmanship is horrible. However I can deal with that if I have to.) In addition, the mattress is so hard my husband and I were not able to sleep on it. I notified the store and they told me to call customer service to report that. I have called many times. They keep telling me they will get back to me. Now it is February 2022. I’m being told that they can change the bed to a compatible one but they won’t change the rest of the set. WHAT! I will have a mismatched set!! And they are also telling me that there is no policy that I can exchange the tempurpedic mattress. I am so frustrated. Were they just trying to make a $10,000 sale? I have tried to call the store, was told that a manager would get back to me. No one ever did and I have tried to call the store again several times.. no one even answers the phone! Did they block me? Very very upsetting!
Nice showroom with lots of options but as we were trying out couches there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke inside. It persisted for 10 minutes and we had to leave the store because it was so bad. Sales staff didn't seem to care. Will not be returning to this store.

I had such a pleasant experience at the Ashley in Freehold. My salesperson Roxy was outstanding!! She walked me through the store and showed me every option that sounded like what I wanted, and I ended up finding my dream couch, which was unbelievable because I am PICKY lol. She was such a pleasure to talk to, so friendly, so well informed, and she even helped me draw out a blueprint of my apartment to figure out if the couch would fit. I ended up getting my sofa and ottoman on an unbelievable deal and the purchase went so smoothly. Manager Haddy was also extremely friendly to work with. I have zero complaints, this will be the first place I go to the next time I need to buy furniture!
Ordering and purchasing the couch went well, until delivery day. One piece wouldn’t fit inside, so my options given to me were a 33% restock fee ($600) or have a guy come disassemble and re assemble the couch for $300. No help from the store or customer service. We even paid for the extra protection fee which does nothing for us in this situation. Now I’m paying 20% more and have a couch sitting on my front lawn. I will never purchase from Ashley again, unhelpful, rude customer service, and a huge rip off.

Vultures , parasites, leeches , take your pick of a comparison . As soon as you walk in the door they look at you like prey getting ready to attack. They are relentless at this place. They will not leave you alone. I asked the old lady politely twice to stop following me . I was much more abrupt the third time after she clearly did not comprehend what I said the first two times. Despite this she continued to breathe down my neck and felt the need to interject and offer her opinion which was not only useless and irrelevant, but I didn't ask for it. I got fed up and left. Why can you not just walk into this store and browse without being harassed.

I purchased new furniture in late september. When it was delivered, it had a problem and I promptly called customer service. It's now nearly 2 months later and it hasn't been fixed. No one at the store cares once it's sold to you and no one at the customer service/distribution center cares either. Don't waste your money.

I had the pleasure of working with Jeff G in the Freehold store on Sunday. i called, asked a few questions and then went in to see him. My husband and i were looking for a Sofa and Loveseat to gift to my sister in law. She and her two daughters had just lost EVERYTHING in the the storm waters of hurricane IDA on Sept 1. They were living with us while they tried to find a new apartment and start their lives with nothing but what they had on their backs that they could save. Luckily they found a place and had nothing, so after we gave all that were could we purchased this set for a super quick delivery of this Thursday! Jeff was so caring and helpful! He not only found a lovely set that was available so quickly but with an amazing price! Just want to say Thanks to Jeff and Ashley for making some dreams come true. They have a long way to go, but this is a great start!

Home delivery went smoothly. I was given the wrong pillows and customer service took care of it without hassle. I’d recommend shopping here.

I bought a floor model from the store. The entire couch set. Shortly after I bought the couch set, the three-seater broke just from me sitting down on it. I tried to get the warranty that I paid for to get the couch fixed but they said the warranty did not cover frame damage nor did it cover floor models. Why even pay for warranty? What a scam. I basically bought a broken couch from the store and they wouldn’t cover it. Now I’m paying a couch repairman to fix my couch. Unbelievable. Never getting furniture from Ashley’s again.
By far the worst experience in a furniture store ever. The sales person tried to rip me off by selling a kitchen chair that comes 2 in a set as one. When I rechecked the website and called him out on it, the manager backed him up! It’s unbelievable and completely rude. They tried to rip me off on everything- including telling me that I have to pay a $40 fee for them to transport their product from the wearhouse to the store. I was there with my family and everyone came out with a disgusting feeling towards the entire store and it’s a shame because they represent such a good brand. What I was priced in the store (490) without delivery turned out to be 298 delivered right to my door.
Jeff helped my fiancé and I pick out a couch for the first time. He was so helpful! Even with my stubborn mother on the phone! Even gave my daughter a balloon when she started to fuss. The couch just came and it fits wonderfully. We got moms approval!
Our sectional came ripped and they told us customer service would need to get back to us 3-7 business days. The recliner broke as soon as we sat on it. There is extra material hanging from the back of the pieces of our sectional. The stitching in the front of our cup holder piece is completely crooked. Would never recommend this store.
Just unbelievable how this store does business. My wife and kids came in to the FREEHOLD store with the intent of buying bar stools. We picked out six stools in the first minute and asked the salesperson if it was in stock. He replied we have five in stock and would get the 6th one for us for delivery the following week. Great ! We then decided to pick out a table and 4 chairs all with this salespeople. We even told him it was the easiest sale he ever made since we picked everything out within 2 minutes and told him to write it up. The following week I called asking what day the furniture was coming. I was told by an Ann Marie, the salesman is no longer with the company and he must of lied to us to make his final sale. They don’t have the stools in stock and won’t until at least the 15th of September. Four weeks later than promised and that’s not even a guarantee as they have up to 12 weeks to deliver. I explained how we were promised or would’ve looked elsewhere. She told us to come in and talk to the manager Mike or herself and they would be glad to rectify the situation. She did say she felt bad for us. So we went into the store the next day. There was no Ann marie there and Mike came over and just stared us down like we did something wrong. Customer service was non existent and didn’t offer to do anything for us. Not even sure he understood why we came in. They told us we wouldn’t even get the bar stools when they are ready in September since they won’t do 2 deliveries. Mike said “We need the table and chairs to come in too in order to get delivery. So now we’re looking at late September to October”and this Mike couldn’t had been any colder about it.
Today I went into ashley furniture to purchase a kitchen set. I was greeted by a salesman named Tim. He was the most patient, professional, and extremely eager to help. Tim was not looking out for himself. He really truly cared about the customer. Not your typical sales rep who wants to make a sale even if you weren’t in love with the furniture. He was measuring every set for me he was really truly the nicest sales rep I have ever met. He is a true asset to Ashley Furniture. He wasn’t a pushy sales rep he just wanted us to be happy at the end ! I truly can’t thank Tim enough. Thank you again !
I purchased a sofa and loveseat. I was told it could be returned if I wasn’t satisfied as long as the drivers were still there. The loveseat was damaged .. We tried calling delivery house and store with no avail. I told drivers to take back the furniture . They took the loveseat to truck and I went outside to check , they pulled away. I called the stores again they said loveseat not in stock so I ordered chair and a half. We went on vacation next day when we came back 2 days on the sofa was horrible. So uncomfortable in my neck and back. We went to the store explained what happened. I asked to exchange for another set since the delivery had to gone again. Mike was very rude and uncooperative. He charged me a restocking fee of 25% after explaining my story. I was looking at a set twice the price of the original. I would not shop there if they were the only furniture around Their customer satisfaction means nothing. PS when we went to the store 5 salesmen were sitting with no customers , so that tells you something.!!!!!!!
Awful customer service from the manager and shady business! Do yourself a favor and avoid this location. They never pick up their phone, manager michael will greet you with an attitude and talk back to you rudely, and don't email you when they say they will. Take your business elsewhere. Update: Ashley Customer Care called me after hearing my complaint and yelp review, they did everything in their power to resolve my issue with my furniture complaint and poor customer service in the freehold location. It's unfortunate that this location has poor customer service but because Ashley called me and rectified the issue I have to say that they do care about their customers and making sure they are satisfied. Thank you and will continue my business with this company!
I had just shopped at Ashley furniture looking for a dining set. The sales person was extremely nice. I had found a set online, and he honored the price I had found online. It took him extra time to do this. I have shopped at this store before and purchased furniture and its always a good experience.
Warning: do not buy at this store . Or any Ashley Furniture store for that matter . We purchased a new microfiber couch for 1299.00 within 3 months the seating area wore through . We bought the insurance they sell you (Big mistake) they tell you it covers everything ( yeah right ) . Well try to get this replaced or repaired . (Good luck) You will be on the phone for hours and get no resolve. This happened 10 months ago and we are still waiting for someone to fix this . After months of waiting and waiting we finally had them send us the replacement seat of the couch they sent the wrong one of course . Now months later we still have a couch with a hole in the seat area and no one has showed up to fix it repair it or replace it or anything . So please save yourself from a headache ( or possible stroke , heart attack , etc etc ) buy somewhere that actually cares about their customers …
I ordered a sofa and loveseat from the Freehold Ashley store on May 15. I was told it was backordered, but that it should be in by mid-June at the latest. When I got my paperwork, I noticed that it had a date in August on it. I questioned the salesperson and was told to disregard it, that they had to put a date 12 weeks from purchase for backordered items, but that my furniture should be in by mid-June. To make a long story short, I received the run around for two months, was given 4 different ETAs, and spoke to some extremely nasty people who should not be working in customer services (most notably Annmarie who took 5 minutes to answer one phone call and hung up on me on another). I cancelled my order with Ashley on 7/3. When I noticed that the refund was not appearing on my bank statement on 7/8, I called the bank. They had not received anything from Ashley yet. So I called Ashley, and spoke to Annmarie. She told me they put the refunds through right away, and I should call my bank. When I told her I already did (twice), she agreed to contact Accounting for me and call me back (this could take up to 48 hrs). Some things you should know about this company: 1. They will not give you anyone's last name - not even the store manager; 2. They apparently do not have the ability to check when orders are coming in from the store; 3. They cannot call other departments; they have to email them. Worst experience of my life. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Raymour & Flannigan is comparably priced and their customer service is great. Go there instead.

This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. My husband and I purchased almost 3 thousand dollars worth of furniture in January. At first, I was going to order online, but a representative told me that if I ordered in the store, warehouse pickup would be available. We were willing to pick up the furniture ourselves. We went into the store to purchase and were told that they do not offer warehouse pickup. We had our heart's set on the furniture we chose so we decided to order anyway and have it be delivered. We were told in the store that there was a 6-12 week window but that we would most likely have our items before that time period. Two months went by so I decided to call the store to see what the status was as we haven't received any sort of communication. The staff at this store are IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. The phone rings and rings for hours, literally hours without anyone picking up. When someone did pick up, I was told continuously that she had to "check her emails" and then was placed on hold. This was one of probably 15 times that I called to check the status of my order up until this month - June 2021. I was told over and over that only one or two of my items were in the warehouse and that they needed to wait for the rest to be in the warehouse to be delivered. I requested that the items that were available be delivered but I was told no, it had to be all items or none. I was told over and over a different date of when the items would be in the warehouse, pushing out a month each time. Each time I called, they told me a different furniture item was in the warehouse, which led me to believe that they were giving pieces of my order to other people as they came in because the rest of my items weren't available yet. I finally called at the end of May to either get a valid response or cancel my order. I was told that the inventory manager would call me on 5/26 to set up delivery for my items because that's when they would be in the warehouse. I never received that phone call. I called again and I was told, again, that the all of the items were not in the warehouse but I could set up delivery for two of the items. They then told me that they weren't scheduling delivery until the end of June. At this point I decided to cancel the order and get a refund. It had been five months. I was told I needed to go into the store to receive a refund. While I was in the store waiting in line, I heard the receptionist tell another customer that she could schedule her delivery for the beginning of June, not the end of June like I had been told. This was a horrific experience. The staff tried to reel me back in when I went in to cancel/get my refund by telling me that the furniture in the store with balloons on it could be delivered right away. Unfortunately for them, I had lost all of my trust in this company from day one and gave them multiple chances to just give solid information. I will never be shopping here ever again for furniture.
I bought a couch in July 2020 after9 month the leather started to pale. Ashley offered to send us a piece of fabric but we need to pay for installation. Ashly refused to stand behind their products The way that the manufacturer warranty customer service representative is humiliating
Sales rep was walking around without a mask sitting on couches with customers. A few older woman were trying to back away from him and he kept going in closer. Then he came up to me and my mom is fighting cancer so I am very cautious of my surroundings. I asked him to please put his mask on as my mom is sick so he scoffed and said well I forgot what world we are living in. He did put it on asked what I was looking for and told him a power lift recliner. He said no where has them since they were used to make ventilators and good luck finding one. After that I left and went to 3 furniture stores in the same vincinty and they all had the chairs that were no where to be found.
Before I start to tell you why you should NOT purchase furniture from ASHLEY of Freehold I’d like to state the following about myself: I have lived in the tri-state area for 36 years, and have been purchasing furniture since 1996. I’ve bought an abundance of pieces for the home and used many different businesses. I am no beginner, you should trust me when I say to stay away from this store. Read the other reviews as well, it is very likely you will have a BAD experience. Enough about me, I’m going to make this easy for you. a.) Do you like to be lied to? b.) Prefer to be ignored, with calls never returned? c.) Want to do business with a company that has no customer service complaint department, no way to regulate the checks and balances of doing business? d.) Would you like partial delivery of your furniture with no warning, and no mention of a delivery date for the rest of the pieces? e.) Do you want to wait 4 MONTHS for a follow up delivery of missing furniture that will never come? (This all happened to my wife and I) If you answered “NO” to any of these questions, Save yourself a headache and take your hard earned money far away from Ashley of Freehold!!! BTW I would’ve put this post up sooner but the store was holding my money for the undelivered furniture, at ransom. I would also give zero stars, but it is not possible.
Worst place ever , don’t waste your time, items were delivered damaged. Called within less then the 72 hour mark and took forever to get a hold of someone. Sent photos in of the damaged product, waited more then ten days with no call. Had to call several times and they play games with you. Cheaply made products and customer service is terrible. This location is in freehold nj. I recommend your shop somewhere else. Still waiting to resolve this issue and I will continue to call over and over and over till I get my refund. Pay the couple extra bucks and go to Raymor and Flanagan. Most people I talked to said they had the same issue with damaged goods. Seems like a common thing with Ashley furniture
Honestly Ive wasted enough time with this company. Apparently they have no type of way of seeing how far out your order is and customer service here is the worst Ive ever dealt with in my entire life. I purchase couches often almost once a month for different offices and multiple stores but I will never order from here again. Stay clear of this store unless you are fine with giving them your money and then getting screwed.
Ordered on 11/21/2020 was told 8-12 weeks. Called on 2/12 and was told by Masue (sp?) it would be 2 more weeks. It is now 3/22/2021 a full 17 weeks later and still NOTHING. Now they don't pick up the phone. Update - Finally delivered 4/21. Asked for manager Masie to call me, I've called weekly since (it is now 6/19) and he will NOT call back. This place is a total sham - DO NOT SHOP THERE!!!!!!!!!!!
Update - unfortunately the couch we purchased is one of the most uncomfortable couches we have ever owned. We won't be going back. This is the second time we have bought furniture here. Don't expect a phone call about delivery the night before like they say you will receive. Neither time did that happen. We bought a couch, dining room set and kitchen set the first time. That was 1½ yrs ago. The couch is saggy and both of the sets have scratches shortly after buying them. Nothing was used on them out of the ordinary. We have now purchased a different couch. I'm waiting on delivery as I type this. Let's hope it lasts a little longer. If not it will be the last purchase we make at this store.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Purchased thousands of dollars in furniture, to have cushions rip at the seams after 18 months. We purchased a protection plan at their suggestion because it would cover everything to be told by guest services it only covers “accidents” and cushions falling apart isn’t accidental. We called no less than 15 times and we’re always told we would get calls back and never did. I guess bad customer service and cheap furniture are not considered accidental. Will never purchase furniture again from Ashley.
The worst experience and horrible customer service. I ordered $7500 worth of furniture 4 months ago! Every time we call for an update it’s a different lie. We had to call 5 times demanding a refund. Not to mention if you call the phone rings for 10 mins before they even pick up. Only after I called my credit card to dispute the charge and get my refund that way, now they called me 4 times in 1 day. Where was this attention for the last 4 months? Avoid this place at all costs. Spare yourself the headaches!!!! I wish someone had warned me!!!!!! My worst experience ever as a consumer!
Ordered furniture in November. They keep pushing delivery date out. Now the distribution center is saying won't be until April. I understand the warehouse delay but the main issue here is you can't get a hold of anyone at the Freehold store. Horrible customer service. Will be cancelling my order and shopping elsewhere. Never again

Sales person need to be trained well for receiving and behave properly with the customers. Today I went the store @Freehold,NJ for some furniture. The guy who was with me, initially was good and later asked the language and country we were talking, then he started answering us in rude way. Hope the store management will train this guy to avoid the customers go away.
We were visiting the store to buy nightstand,sale person was not nice,after I try match Ashley internet price he told me if I looking for better price I should go next door to Bob's store ☹️
We ordered furniture and asked the salesman to check to see if I still had my Ashley credit card open. He told us he saw no card in my name and had my husband open one. Now that I have received my bill, I see that they charged the card under my name (that the salesman said was not there) and the same $3000 charge is pending under my husband's credit card. Synchrony Bank said they can't do anything. Corporate said they can't do anything because the stores are individually owned. The manager at the store where we purchased our furniture sounded annoyed that I called him with this issue and dismissively said he had to contact his finance center and would get back to me. That was the day before Thanksgiving and it is now a week later and we have not heard from him yet. I called today and was told there is no manager in today. What kind of business is this?! I never heard of a manager not being present in a store. So we basically have to just eat it and hope not to get charged again on my husband's card.
After waiting 3 months for our furniture to arrive, after being told it would be 2-6 weeks, on the day it was supposed to be delivered no one called and no one showed. Our delivery time was 1pm-5pm, I LEFT WORK EARLY TO BE HOME FOR IT! THEN after calling the store for a number to call to get in touch with whoever is in charge of the delivery, i was told there is no number and they will “send them an email”. The lack of coordination of all parties (being corporate and store and warehouse) is absurd. We had to jump through hoops to get in touch with anyone to get an update on our delivery! I figured they could have the decency to reach out to me, but nope! Even when trying to cancel our order after 2 months was a hassle. When we tried, they told us it would be in the warehouse 2 days later... We figured we’d stick it out... FINALLY one month after that we had to call them to find out it was in the warehouse and to schedule the delivery... We had family who ordered great furniture with great quality from Costco on a MONDAY and it was there the following WEDNESDAY! I very much regret waiting it out. My sister in laws couch from Costco is super cozy and comfortable. I don’t even remember the couch we picked out at this point! I HIGHLY SUGGEST LOOKING ELSEWHERE FOR FURNITURE! Hopefully you’ll get better quality customer service. If you’re wondering, she bought Tisdale 6-piece Modular Fabric Sectional for $1,199.99 from Costco.
After just moving into a new home and having to furnish our entire house, our experience with Ashley Furniture has by far been the absolute worst part of this process. I highly urge you to consider all of the horrendous reviews that are listed here before choosing to buy from them. They clearly tell everyone that delivery will take a shorter amount of time than it actually will so you will purchase from them. They gave us a guaranteed delivery date and our couch didn&'t come until a month after that. Why list a specific &"guaranteed&" date if you aren&'t going to uphold it? Not to mention it had to be delivered three separate times due to incorrect or missing pieces. If that isn&'t bad enough, we were rearranging cushions after the delivery service left and there is a dark brown stain all over the back of our couch. If you think the people working in the store are unprofessional, just WAIT until you get in touch with their customer service line. I have never spoken to a customer service rep that was more rude in my entire life. They don&'t care if their customers are dissatisfied, they take no accountability for poor service and they will offer no compensation. So unless you feel like paying full price for horrendous service and a stained couch, DO NOT SHOP HERE. I wish I could give zero stars.
Bought a set of couches from this location around February 2019 as a floor model sale and the frame broke after sitting in it nothing crazy was done to this couch, luckily I purchased the 5 YEAR WARRANTY. This "warranty" doesn't cover frame damage even if the couch had been in our possession for under ONE YEAR! Horrible customer service, this was not explained in the warranty paperwork I signed the day of purchase. Abosuletly terrible way to keep customers! Will never buy anything from ashleys ever again!

Awfully made furniture and not inexpensive to say the least. I bought a couch and had 3 service calls for squeaky sounds, out of shape cushions in less than 4 months of my purchase. Don&'t waste your hard earned money like I did.
Worst customer service I have ever received in a store. They messed up my order so bad by charging and refunding my card 5 times. I had to go all the way back to the store to fix the problem. Employees are lazy and inconsiderate. They do not even get up to meet you at the door. One employee sat on a recliner and shouted to over to me from the chair if we needed help. I placed an order in the middle of August and was told 2-6 weeks for my order it has now been almost 10 weeks and was told it could take another month. Completely unacceptable and no one seems to help. I called every single day for a week with no one answering my calls. I had to drive an hour to go into the store to get help and they said &"there phones were down&". Completely unacceptable to for a professional business to have phones down for over a week. Finally I was able to get through to a representative this week and was told they would have a manager call me right back. Never received a call back after 2 days. Called again and spoke to the same representative who told me she would give me a call back the following morning. Never received a call. Tried calling again today and the phone lines now connect me to the Easton, PA office. The most unprofessional and horrible experience I have ever had. NO ONE BUY ANYTHING IN THIS STORE. Please take your money somewhere else. Completely unacceptable and the most frustrating experience as I am currently sleeping on the floor for 3 weeks now after my furniture being 6 weeks late. I have never such horrible customer service in my life!
I have been at Ashley’s for about 12 years of my life. Recently, I purchased a new bed and within four days I got the bed. However, it was a completely different bed. I went to the store the same day and complained but they insisted it was my fault. I brought up the argument that it was completely different in both shape and color. They told me if I wanted the bed I originally wanted, then I had to pay an extra $448 along with waiting 12 weeks. I was going to buy more furniture, but after this experience I’d rather not waste my time with Ashley.
Ordered my furniture September 24th and was told that would take 3-8 weeks , but most likely , 3 weeks. I have been calling this store all week with no answer ?! I had to call corporate to find out that my furniture is scheduled for December 1st ?! So I guess I’m supposed to live in my new apartment with no bed , no table , no chairs. Beyond disappointed with this store.
My boyfriend and I were shopping for livingroom furniture and had a wonderful experience at the Freehold store. Jeff and Debbie were great. We found what we wanted, but the color we wanted was not on the showroom floor. We decided to visit another Ashley to see if they had it, and they did. Even though the store that had the correct color was much closer to our home, we went all the way back to the Freehold store and purchased it from Jeff, because of the great experience we had with him and Debbie. We were looking for a recliner. Didn't see what we wanted. However, we are not pounced upon by every salesman, so our experience was good. Prices were reasonable.
They feed on the uninformed. Do yourself a favor and research prices before walking in. Or do yourself a even bigger favor and go to raymours outlet store. Same stuff and they don't play games with you.

We called to see if we can come in before they close and were told to come in. Drove 25 min rushing and got there with a few min to spare and found the employee sitting in his car and said sorry it’s too late even though he told us to come in. I’d call that terrible customer service. It was simple to say sorry we’re closing soon come tomorrow, but don’t make me drive and then tell me sorry we’re closed once I’m there.
Must ask for Deb, she was highly professional, knowledgeable, and above all made the process easy without any pressure. I recommend their services and wouldn't hesitate to be a repeat customer.

Fine ok but as we were looking around an older sales rep started to tell another sales rep. While waving hand he said That's S.C.and the other rep walked away. Absolutely worst company ever, from their sales team, to delivery, to customer service to district managers, they lie, there rude, and lazy and do not want in any way to work with a customer, and we spent around 3k with them. Haby in Freehold, NJ is the worst &"district&" manager ever, completely rude, and did not feel it was worth his time to call us to discuss the matter after we were told he would, and when i asked why we did not get a call from his, as a customer service agent, he said &"why would i call when there are people to do that for me&" the person who called was just as bad as what we complained about in person the night before to a sales guy at the store. If it wasn&'t for a couch being needed, after weeks of waiting already, we would have asked for a full refund and went around the corner to Raymour Flannigan... Never buy from this chain, they are horrible!!!!!!
Pinkey at the Freehold location is the absolute best. So many other sales people (especially male) are extremely pushy and make the transaction all around uncomfortable. I worked with Pinkey twice to select a new sectional and she was an absolute pleasure. Very down to earth, no pressure, patient, and knowledgeable. Equally as important, she works with you to give you the best deal that&'s available. I absolutely recommend asking for her as soon as you walk in the door!

Sales rep Evan was extremely considerate and helpful in getting us what we needed at first. This slowly changed after purchasing. At checkout I had a gift card and I wanted to use it. A woman Phyllis came over and told me we weren&'t allowed to use it and are only allowed to use it in the store we received it from. The gift card does not state that. The gift card is from California and there is no way we would be able to go there to buy furniture when living in New Jersey. The back of the card did not state that we needed to use it in the same store we received the card at. This is fine but it should have been clearly stated on the card. The way we were approached by Phyllis was the issue. She seemed unprofessional and unfriendly did not even look professional when seeming to be a &"manager&". The woman who rung us up was very kind. With the amount of money we spent at this store the least they could have done was honor the gift card. The gift card is useless to me now which is very upsetting especially since we spent so much money at this store. Now we get a call saying that because some of our items are not in stock they have to push back our delivery from Saturday to Tuesday or Wednesday. Or if we want two deliveries then we have to pay another $150 for the second delivery. They should deliver both times for free just because it&'s their fault that they don&'t have the items in stock. They shouldn&'t punish the buyer just because some of the items could be delivered earlier than others. Spoke to General Manager Michael and he told me that they were never going to charge us for a second delivery and there was no way that we would be getting our delivery by Saturday as we were originally told. They said probably by the end of next week. Don&'t believe this store or sales people they lie to you.
Just brought a sectional and we love it
My girlfriend and I drove an hour here to see a sofa we liked online in person. Walked into the store and an associate named Jeff greeted us, asking how he could help. I explained the situation and took out my phone to pull up the website and he made a comment asking if we were going to ‘show him a dirty photo’. We awkwardly laughed it off and said no, and he continued to make inappropriate comments like ‘I wish you would’ and ‘it’s a Saturday, anything can happen’. We should have just left there, but we proceeded on to see the sofa. As we sat down, Jeff noticed two women walking by and hustled over to chat with them. Deciding that we liked the sofa, I asked about whether they could match a coupon I had received online and Jeff walked off to run the numbers. When he came back, he told me the delivery cost was more than double what it was listed at online, and when I asked about the difference and if it meant a different level of service, he just kept repeating the cost. Ultimately, I told him that the price in store was more than we really wanted to spend and he responded with ‘if this is out of your budget, you’re in the wrong store!’ At that point, we walked away and browsed for another minute or two before heading toward the exit. As we were leaving, Jeff was back by the front and said ‘so you’re not going to get the sofa, why not?’ as if I hadn’t just told him why. My girlfriend told him he was rude, and he replied ‘oh I’m rude? Thanks’ all indignantly as we left the store. If you’re set on purchasing from Ashley, avoid this store but frankly, I’d reconsider giving money to a company that allows this kind of unprofessional conduct from its employees.
Awful awful awful. Don&'t shop at this Ashley location unless you care to be disrespected. Their reviews are abysmal for a reason. Jeff is an old, disgusting pig. We walked into the store and took out our phones to show him the picture of the couch we were looking for, and he started heckling us and asking if we were going to show him &"dirty pictures.&" Although we were visibly uncomfortable, he continued to push it, saying that he &"wished we would show him some&" because &"it&'s Saturday and anything could happen.&" As if that wasn&'t bad enough, we allowed him to show us the couch we drove alllll the way to Freehold to see, and he tried to push a shipping method on us that was more than double what it would&'ve been if we ordered the same exact piece of furniture online. When we told him that that was a little bit more than we were looking to spend, he STORMED AWAY saying &"We&'ll if that&'s not in your budget then you&'re in the WRONGGGG STORE.&" I honestly have to laugh.... is he kidding? Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. On the way out, he acted surprised that we weren&'t purchasing the couch, and when he asked why (which is stupid, frankly. We JUST told you why before you stormed away like an entitled prick) I told him &"because you&'re very rude.&" This prompted him to catch an attitude with us AGAIN.... like he was shocked that we would say such a thing. Sir, I&'d rather stick pins in my eyes than even give you one single penny of commission. You&'re an absolute pig, and you should be embarrassed- especially considering that this isn&'t your first bad review on here. Hope your old ass gets fired.

I was sold a defective product [recliner] which I complained about. The salesman came to my house to test it out and didn't agree 100% but did say the leg lock feature was a bit faulty. He said he would reach out to me as soon as they received another like recliner to test out & replace with my damaged chair, it's been several months and not a peep out of them. This is my second time purchasing from Ashley furniture in Freehold Nj. I was very lucky to have been waited on by Pinky, who is well versed in design and very knowledgeable when it comes to the do’s and don’ts in decorating and their products. We hit a little snag with the warehouse and Pinky and one of the managers quickly turned a negative into a positive for me. I am grateful for her honesty throughout the entire purchase process and never once did I feel pressured to purchase.The manager and the finance girls are awesome as well Thank you Pinky!

I have an odd shaped living room making it difficult to get that cozy feel. I had gone to several other stores and had not been able to find a salesperson that was willing to listen to my needs and wants until I met Jeremy. The first sectional that Jeremy showed me was what I ended up purchasing. It was classy, comfortable, the right color, and the perfect size for my living room. Ashley Furniture in Freehold expedited the delivery, showed up right on time, and put everything together in less then ten minutes. I know where I’m going and who my sales rep will be when it comes to future decorating. Thank you Jeremy and the entire team at Ashley in Freehold!!!
My husband and I needed new furniture when we moved to our new home recently. Luckily, we had a great salesman, Mike Abikzer, who helped us find our bedroom set, our sectional and our dining room set. Mike was always professional and pleasant and assisted us in every way. We told him what we had in mind and his suggestions helped so much. We are so happy with our new furniture. We will definitely go back to Ashley and will ask for Mike Abikzer.
My wife and I just bought a beautiful charcoal Owensbe sectional with a chaise. We visited eight other stores and couldn’t land on the right one. We had a very specific list of features for our new couch and Jeremy helped us find the perfect addition to our home. He was polite and patient and seemed to know what we wanted before we walked in the door. I would definitely recommend going to see Jeremy or anyone else on the team at Ashley furniture in Freehold.

I’m understanding why all the reviews were so bad! we purchased two recliners, The recliners were not what we ordered! We were told they were space savers, they are 100% not. They don’t fit where we needed them at our house and when we called back and told them it was the wrong item that we got , they told us we were going to pay a 25% restocking fee. It’s not our fault they gave us the wrong product and promised us something that they didn’t have. Sales people are as rude as Can be . One guy said they didn’t care if we gave them a bad review on the Internet. The lady we worked with refuses to talk to us. These people just dont care About the customers, and will do anything to get a sale. Amazing ...

I visited the store during the holidays. there was 50% off and additional 10% + price match guarantee. I like one of the work desk which was offered to me @50% after the sales guy consulted his manager a few times. Weird because it was already on sale. But than when I ask to price match not to different store's price just their own website price, they said cannot do it. Not sure why when they advertise it. No additional 10% off was offered either. The sales guy was making stories that website will charge you shipment cost. I showed him shipment was offered free, and the reason for visiting a store is to pick now rather than waiting when they are advertising for price match. They are doing false and misleading advertisements and just trying to rip you off. Be careful with this store.
I went to store with intention of purchasing a living room set. The salespeople are like circling sharks! We were given prices that were double the price of Ashley furniture’s website!! When I tried to ask questions my saleswoman Pinky would talk over me or change subject. We were pressured to apply for credit.. After asking husband if he had credit cards she told me to apply single instead of joint .. mind you his credit and income is far greater than mine. Once we were only approved for part of set her interest in us waned. We ended up just purchasing the sectional. When I asked about layaway for other pieces it was made so inconvenient to do so I gave up the idea. No one bothered to thank us or walk us out. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I decided I didn’t want to help them make commission so I returned to cancel the order! First thing I was asked was if someone else beat their price because they would beat it.. they had their chance! I cancelled the order!!
This place is absolutely horrible. I order couches a week before thanksgiving and they will not be till January 16th. Every time I call the store no one picks. The costumer service sucks and they don’t give a damn about helping you out. Never ever shop at this place. Do yourself a favor.

Zero stars. 1- I bought 2 couches and 2 end tables and a coffee table. 2- promised deliver by Dec 12 (6 weeks) from purchase date. 3- 6 weeks went by, nothing, so I had to drive to Philly warehouse to pick up my couches because they refused to deliver it since the tables where not there yet. 4- it is now Dec 28th and a manager finally called me back and said he can take $100 off my bill for the inconvenience.... 5 - He said end tables and coffee tables are now available. Exactly 9 weeks after purchase date. 6- He told me the earliest delivery date is January 10th. I purchased everything first week of November... Had to pick up my furniture and in the end, ended up with no tables, a headache. Waiting 2.5 months for delivery is unacceptable. Never again
finally got my furniture 9 weeks later and one section came with wrong legs and another piece was missing a leg. so now I am waiting for the leg going on a week now so my rating stays the same and i will find another furniture store next round.
Buyer beware. I visited this store several weeks ago and met with a personable and pleasant salesman and manager. Both were considerate and patient, so we placed an order for almost $5,000 in various furniture. We were assured the furniture would be delivered before Thanksgiving. I called on a weekly basis [they never call you] and was constantly told it was on its way. Finally, they confirmed that the furniture would be shipped to the warehouse the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. In reliance on that assurance, I made arrangements to have my old furniture donated and picked up the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Saturday came...nothing. I called. They said the furniture needed to be scanned in to the warehouse. Sunday.....nothing. I appeared in the store to see what was going on since my calls were not being returned. The manager told me, "to be honest, your furniture is not in; we don't know when it would come in; it's doubtful you would receive it even in December; and if I were you, i would go to another furniture store." You can't make this stuff up. I immediately went to other stores and found the exact items available for delivery within 3 days [though other furniture i ordered was on back order]. I canceled part of the Ashley order and waited for the pieces that they said WERE available for delivery. They gave me a window of 2-6 pm on Wednesday, December 4. The furniture arrived close to 8PM, partially damaged. I have called, taken pictures and emailed the store. Still nothing. Needless to say, I will never step foot in there again except to fight with them to come and repair the partially damaged furniture.
DO NOT SHOP Ashley furniture in freehold NJ. I went in to purchase a sectional and added some more pieces which makes it a custom order. I was told it may take 2-6 weeks to receive it. Long behold 6 weeks come by and NOTHING!!!! Not even a phone call or email. Then 7,8,9,10,11 weeks go by and still NOTHING!!!! No phone no email nothing. To find out any updates on my couch I had to call Ashley furniture and sometimes I was put on hold for more than 15 minutes and other times I was hung up on. I was very disappointed. So I wanted to cancel and they tell we can’t cancel over the phone you have to come to the store in person. So I went down to cancel it. Never buying there again!!!!
Purchased $2,700.00 in living room furniture, salesman was Batty. We were told we would have our furniture in a couple of weeks and here we are a month later and no furniture to make a long story short is that tables are out of stock and will take months to get. Very unprofessional

P.S save yourself the headache and stay away from buying online, pictures may be misleading and obviously you have to sit on the damn thing and see for yourself if you really like it if you are going to be making that big of a purchase!

My daughter and I bought memory foam mattresses, both firm, from this Freehold Ashley Store in early September. They were delivered on 9/25. I soon discovered that my full size mattress was NOT firm. Obviously the salesman ordered the wrong item and since they use numbers to order we had no way of knowing what density was on the order. We also paid cash! After weeks of trying to get this corrected, and going to the store and speaking with the manager, they sent a 'mattress doctor' to measure the mattress and what other bs they use. A few days ago my daughter had to call to find out what was going on because they do not follow up. She was told that it is not the mattress. It is the bunkie board and we are to choose another bunkie board. I do not sleep on the bunkie board!! Ashley does not care about their customers and they also do not make a bad sale and product right. I would never buy another thing from them nor do I recommendl anyone else purchase from them either. They made their sale, their salesman got his commission. That is how they do business. Cheat the customer.
Ordered our entire living room 7 weeks ago. We are still waiting... staff won’t return our calls... very dissatisfied customers.
I loved our sales guy but the service is horrible! I will never purchase furniture from Ashley's again! 1) we ordered area rugs told us it would be delivered to our home. Furniture comes no rugs and we are told area rugs now come to the store and we need to pick them up there (inconvenience!!). 2) after a month of calling the store to see if rugs came in I kept getting the same answer "not in yet" finally went into the store and rugs were there for over 2 weeks!! they were never scanned in as received so they couldn't find it when I called 3) had to order an extra love seat for our sectional couldn't do it over the phone had to go into the store (inconvenience) 3 weeks later and no update on when item can be delivered called last week and was told it would be in the warehouses next week called today and got the same answer! Ridiculous never again.

May 2017 we purchased a reclining leather sofa and chair from Ashley Home Store Freehold, NJ. We also purchased the furniture protection plan from Montage Sasca at the same time. July 2019 we noticed the sofa had several tears on the seam of one of the cushions on the sofa. We contacted the Ashley Store in Freehold and they referred us to Montage Sasca . We contacted the protection company. We sent in all of the documentation and pictures of the damage to the sofa. We were informed that the tears were "normal wear and tear" MONTAGE SASCA refused to cover any damage. We returned to the Ashley Home Store in Freehold to get some help with the problem. We were told a manager would contact us about our problem. No one ever called or contacted us in anyway. We wanted someone to either repair our furniture or at the very least get our money back for the protection plan An expensive leather sofa should last longer than a year and half. We will never purchase any furniture from Ashley again! Ashley's furniture and service is poor . Ashley has lost a good customer!
My husband and I took advantage of the recent Labor Day sale since we had wanted a new bedroom set for a long time. From the first minute we walked in the door we were taken care of by Benny the manager. We were not hassled at all and left free to browse as we pleased. Benny referred another salesperson Neil to us, and he was very helpful also. Both spent a great deal of time with us and provided us with a wonderful price we couldn’t refuse. We were also pleased to find out that if you don’t use the 5 year warranty purchased in the 5 years, you get it back to use in store credit! We had a great experience here a few years ago when we bought our dining room set and living room couches - and once again Ashley in Freehold came through for us. Can’t wait to get our new bedroom furniture!
Best shopping experience we've had in a furniture store (ever). We took advantage of the Labor Day Sales and couldn't be happier with our choices. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted by Pinkey. I couldn't say enough good things about her. She was extremely knowledgeable of every single piece of furniture on that floor, making it so easy to guide us through the massive selection and point us to exactly what we were looking for. She gave us time to explore and periodically checked in, she made a tremendous amount of suggestions and truly knew what she was doing which made us 100% confident in wanting to make a purchase here. The entire store itself has such a HUGE selection from rustic designs to modern/contemporary. The floor plan was easy to walk through and their employees were all beyond friendly and eager to answer our questions even though they weren't getting the sale. And let me tell you, nothing is more appealing to us as customers than a store that works as a team and helps each other out. That is EXACTLY how you keep customers that will always return and buy. (Which by the way was the opposite experience we had at some of the nearby competitors) We visited 5 stores today before we came to Ashley's. We came in knowing exactly what budget we had for our living room sectional and a dining room table. And we were very pleased that we were able to buy exactly what we wanted for our budget. Both Pinkey and her manager worked together to get us the best possible price, which we appreciate so much as new homeowners! We are very excited for our new sectional and dining room set! In November of 2017 I visited the furniture store of Ashley's furniture in Freehold NJ. This was not the first time that I have shopped from Ashley's. I HAD been a long time prior to that date and now. I bought a dining room set and two stand up alone pieces to go with that as a set. I also purchased a service plan with that, as I always do in the amount of $499. The expected delivery date was the end of November 2017. When the delivery date came the called me that day and said they don't have my furniture and that they will bring it next week. I was understanding. Two weeks later and with holidays approaching I still did not have my furniture. I called and emailed the store manager at the time several times to try to see what the problem was and they said another company was buying Ashley's so their storage place was changing and it caused a general commotion. I was understanding again and patient and finally received my furniture on JANUARY 20th!!! Yes!!! holidays with no dining room. When the delivery came and put everything in place I inspected the furniture and I saw that they were damaged. I showed the delivery people and they said there was nothing they can do. One of them called their client services and they said I had two choices. One was to return everything which I should have done and the other was to deal with the service part which I had done in the past and they were very helpful. So thinking about being without a dining room for a longer period of time I took pictures of everything an emailed as they told me. That's when everything begun. They sent me some parts but every time I called they told me I needed to put a ticket in. They cancelled a couple of times as they said noone could come. Eventually I gave up. Maybe that is what they wanted me to do. A couple of months ago my chair broke totally. I remembered the 5yr service plan that I paid $500 for. I called and for the past two months the store tells me there is nothing they can do for me and to call customer service. Customer Service tells me to call the service company. The service company tells me that they have no account of mine and to call another service company. I call back at Ashley's store in Freehold, no manager comes on the phone. The person that picks up tells me ''I am sorry nothing we can do. After a year only Client services. " I call client services again for the 10th maybe more time in a month, they tell me '' We are sorry nothing we can do. You need to call GBS (company that bought the service)'' I call GBS they tell me ''We are sorry we don't have your contract. It's with Montage. '' I call montage and finally after 2 weeks they tell me "We are sorry we don't have your contract. GBS does. " I call client services again this time determined to speak to a manager. Yeah. . . right! Anthony picks up the phone I ask for Marla or Lorleen as they had told me they are the managers. No one comes to the phone and Anthony says " I am sorry I will leave a message for them to call you back. " 2 years later I am at square one. No solution to my problem. The fact is: I paid for a service! I demand to get it.
Excellent service good price
I went in last week to look at a bedroom set for my teen son and a new mattress for myself. It was a Saturday and very busy, but Bill, the store manager took care of me like an expert salesman. He was very patient as I brought out my inner Goldilocks and tested each and every mattress for comfort. I was extremely impressed with how quickly I got approved for financing (literally not even 5 minutes), and how efficient their system and process is. I love Ashley and have furnished my home with a lot of their pieces and styles. I’ll continue to do so.

Summary: do not visit the store with the intent to buy. BUY ONLINE. We visited Ashley Furniture with the intent to buy new beds and mattresses for our two toddlers. Our whole family spent time picking out beds and mattress that they both liked. When we received the pricing, it was much lower than what the tickets stated, which is the norm. We spent more than 30 minutes time waiting on our representative to get the "very best pricing for these products." We were happy to hear that instead of $3,000, we would be getting it all for $1,600. Now we know that is a tactic and were prepared for this type of "savings". Our kids loved the sets so we decided to proceed. While our representative said it was going to take awhile since he was giving us "such an amazing deal", I went online to see reviews of the items. While they had great reviews, I was SHOCKED at how much mark-up still existed with my "amazing" deal. I could get the EXACT same products, delivered (quicker timeline for delivery as well) for $900. Now, I understand this is a business with the root of all of it to make money, but at that point, we just felt taken advantage of. I waited for the representative to come over when I asked him why such a difference. He told us that ordering online was "risky". Risky? It was legitimately Ashley Furniture's website. While it may not be the representative's fault that the pricing is so high, you are ultimately getting ripped off if you actually purchase in store. So in short: go to the store to look at the products and then go home and order them.
My wife and I worked with Jeff at Ashley Homestore and had an amazing experience. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and great to work with. We purchased a couch, Queen size bed frame, Queen size mattress, coffee table, and dresser. The price was very fair and we will definitely be back to buy additional pieces when the time comes!
The worst service ever!I ordered the couch on June 11th. After six weeks of waiting and 4 calls (every week) I went to the store to find out what is going on. At the store- Manager even didn&'t show up to talk to me to give me some information. So I was talking to the cashier and the assistant. I was asking about the exact day of delivery (I think it&'s a reasonable question when you wait more than you have to)The assistant SYDNEY - &" I promise you you&'re going to get your couch by Next Monday&"The cashier who was checking the info on the computer told us that she doesn&'t know the day. I decided to check the reviews on this store. After that I canceled my order. SYDNEY - &'If you order online it will take you even more and you will have to deal with the corporate customer service through the phone&'Me - &'ok, I will go elsewhere&'SYDNEY to my back - &'pff, it&'s a good idea, good luck&'Well done! 1 star is not bad for you, guys
Rated one star for customer service. My husband and I came in one Saturday evening and they told us there was a sale. We found a kid furniture set (bed and dresser) and had Neil price it for us. The price sounded okay but we had to go home and put the kids to bed (it was getting late) and we said my husband will return. My husband came back at 8pm and they said Neil already left for the day. My husband, being a great guy, said that he wants to give Neil the commission, so we’ll come back tomorrow. The other sellers said that would be fine. The next day, Sunday, we arrive at the store only to learn that their sale has ended. It was a fri-sat sale only. Who does that? Stores have weekend sale, not a two day sale. Anyway, we asked Neil what he can do for us since we could have ordered the furniture last night, but specifically waited for him. Nothing. Nothing could be done. Even spoke to their “manager.” So it was a $64 difference and they were going to lose out on $2,000 if we walked out. Out of principle, we left. They missed out on the sale. 1-stop bedrooms had the exact same thing, plus a night stand, for cheaper! I ordered from there and very pleased with the set. It’s too bad Ashley furniture in freehold does not treat customers with any decency. Again, Neil could have been out of commission if 1. We ordered the set in the evening when he left for the day and 2. If there were signs that the sale ends sat night. Go to 1stop bedrooms. Don’t waste your time at Ashley’s. Just my honest opinion.
There are a ton of layers to my experience with Ashley, but I'll keep this short because I really don't even know what to say at this point. I purchased a bed from Ashley Furniture on April 30th to be delivered on May 31st. 3 vacation days taken, three different delivery teams here, my third choice in a bedroom set, and I still don't have a bed to sleep in on July 5th. Not something decorative. . . . A bed!!!!!!. I've been sleeping on a couch for 5 weeks. I am begging anyone reading this to go anywhere else to get your furniture. I'm not a person who writes negative reviews. If I go to a restaurant and the service sucks I still tip 20%, but this experience has left me completely hopeless. Please do not spend your money here. Even if you have to pay a little more someplace else. I promise you that you don't want to go through what I've been through.

WORST STORE EVER. Don't shop here. The salesman was arrogant and told us he was only working there on a bet with his 2 other friends (something out of Impractical Jokers). He made it clear the job was just a joke. In addition to that, they called me to pick my table and chairs up at the store. We were not having it delivered. When I got there they could only find the 2 boxes with the 4 chairs. l told them that I live 40 mins away and would be back the following day in the morning to pick up the table since I would be in the area again. I called them the next morning and was told the table wasn't there and it would be available for pickup on Tuesday. I was FURIOUS. I called back later that day and told them to cancel the order and come pick up their chairs at my house and that I was putting a stop on their payment with my credit card company. I received a callback later that day saying the table was there the whole time but they couldn't find it. TALK ABOUT LAZY. No one wanted to look for it in their back warehouse. I will not give them my business in the future. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE.
I have NEVER had a more poor customer service experience in my life. I purchased furniture in this location and stated before I even started that I was moving to Danbury Ct and asked would that be a problem and that there is free delivery being purchased during the Memorial Day sale. My sales associate checked and said it&'s not a problem they can delivery to ct. 2 weeks later before I moved I stopped by the store because I had no communication since my visit. They stated again it takes 2-6 weeks for delivery and that someone would reach out to me to arrange once all the furniture was in the warehouse to go out in one truck. It has been 5 weeks later at this point and I call the store and speak with someone on my delivery and they stated that &"it might not be something that can be delivered? And there may be a 700 charge for delivery&" this is ridiculous, I have an Ashley&'s right near my new home so should I just return everything and rebuy?! This makes no sense. Not only that but the complete lack of follow up, communication is terrible. I shouldn&'t have to wait 5 weeks with no furniture, no delivery, no call and call to be told they might not be able to deliver my furniture I have been waiting 5 weeks for! I need follow up, I need my items that I purchased delivered I am so disappointed in this experience.
Not only did they deliver the couch a month later then they had said, but within 6 months of owning the couch, the cushions had lost its firmness all together. Now 2 1/3 years later, the wood is broken, they broke a zipper when they came to fix the couch and never came back to fix the zipper, there are screws coming out from underneath the reclining foot part and now my latch to recline is completely broken. Totally horrible manufacturing.
I recieved a flyer in the mail from this store advertising 60% off regular price with free delivery, setup and 72 months of zero percent financing. It came at a good time since I need new furniture to replace the old furniture in the house. The sales representative, "Pinkey" walked me thru all my options in deciding decor for rooms I wanted to furnish. I had a good experience here would return to buy additional items for the home.

Do not shop here, please read my entire review to avoid what I am still going through.On Black Friday I purchased $13k in furniture to furnish my new home. The manager said that he would get it to us in two weeks, that was the first issue. It took us 7 weeks, forcing us to miss Christmas in our new home and pay extra rent elsewhere. Frequent calls and visits to the store just got me the run around. Then the delivery, the 3 guys they sent had to have been on their first day. They caused damage to 90% of the furniture, removed a stair railing for no reason, dropped a dresser through a wall, and damaged my front door. $875 in damages that took over a month of fighting with the delivery company to get reimbursed. While they were delivering I contacted customer service and the store manager to expedite getting things fixed. In the last six months I have had to start over with customer service 3 times, resend photos, etc. Only two small repairs have been made to nearly 20 damaged pieces, but I do have a garage full of boxes they have sent to do the repairs. Some of them have been in my garage for months. In desperation I emailed the CEO who did not respond but forwarded my issue to the VP of the Home Stores, he reassured me that we would get the issue resolved, a month went by and not a single thing happened. So I emailed the VP, he didn&'t bother responding but I promptly received a call from customer service. They were amazed I never got a call to schedule repairs, miraculously I got a call 10 minutes later. Next week is the appointment, hopefully this will finally resolve it. But it&'s not going to change what I have had to do to get here over 8 months. It should also be noted that I financed through Synchrony Bank, shortly into this ordeal I filed a claim against the charges because I did not get what I paid for and the balance was incorrect. After 60 days they closed the claim because Ashley said they would fix the furniture, 3 months later no repairs. So I am officially out of options and still have damaged furniture. I urge you to not shop at Ashley, if you do this could be you. And I don&'t even know the end of this story yet.
Ordered furniture, paid in full (around $4000) and was told it would take 2-6 weeks to be delivered. After 7 weeks I called the store to find out that the furniture had been discontinued and wasn't available. You would think that when something like that happens they would call you to let you know! I received no communication until I called them. They could not refund my credit card over the phone so I had to make another trip to the store where they acted as if I was lying about it being discontinued when I asked for a refund. Never again.
Awful Customer Service. Met with two people a salesperson and their boss (both were appropriate). Agreed upon a price for a bedroom set that matched another retailer. They had me register for a credit card to finance the set over 12 months with no interest A 3rd manager came over over 45 minutes later when I was waiting to get ready to make make my deposit/ purchase who told me that the set was an entirely a different cost (well over $1000 more). When I asked for them to assist in canceling the credit card that they had me register they refused to assist. Equivalent to a sketchy used car salesman. I dont believe this is all Ashleys Furniture but definitely this location. Either way I bought the set at Raymour & Flanigan and was in and out in 20 minutes.

They promise delivery dates to get the sale and then say there’s nothing they can do when it’s not ready. The Manager, Joy, is the one that promised the delivery date and then just pointed the finger at the warehouse on the delay. She wouldn’t wave delivery charges after making us come to the store for nothing. She was also dressed very inappropriately for a Manager and lacked customer service skills.

Stay far away from this store, particular from A salesman named Jeff he is a middle-aged white gentleman with a pony tail. He lied to our faces about a bedroom set being compatible with an adjustable base. The 2 are not compatible and the base has forced our bed frame to come apart which we also bought from him. They have been working on a resolution for 6 weeks and there is no end in sight. I have taken several days off of work to wait for the people to come repair it but each time someone arrives the answer is always the same "this can't be fixed they should have never sold it to you" . In closing I would like to say Jeff if you're reading this I want you to know what I'm sure you already know and that is that you are a despicable human being and I pray to God that one day karma catches up to you.
PSA- never purchase furniture for your home from Ashley furniture in freehold. They sent be a bedroom set and a dining room table set smashed. I had it redelivered for new furniture and they sent me the same dining room set smashed with paint over the parts I complained about as well as a new bedroom set that was smashed. Customer service would not get on the phone either time and the manager screened my call. When I went to get my money back, the store manager was screaming about how there was nothing she could do. I’ve never seen someone so unprofessional in my life. So after a month of trying to get deliveries, I still don’t have furniture. Save yourself the trouble, don’t do business with people who don’t care if they get your business and don’t care if you are not satisfied with their service.

The worst customer service I've ever dealt with. My daughter's bedroom set and dining room chairs came in broken. She wasted a day off from work to receive this delivery. She sent it back and went into the Freehold store and met with the manager, Joy, who promised that she will make sure the furniture comes in "pristine" condition. The furniture was delivered two weeks later and was all damaged again. The dining room chairs were the same ones she sent back. The damages were colored in with brown marker - the chairs are black. Horrible! The poor delivery men were so nice and felt terrible. We called the store several times and Joy would not come to the phone. They kept saying she was "busy"! Too busy for a customer that received two full shipments of damaged furniture! She never even call later to apologize. When we went to the store to get the refund, I told her that she didn't do her job. I was upset but never expected the "store manager" to scream at me. That's exactly what she did and then disappeared. That store should fire her. Read all reviews before buying here. If we read them, we never would have taken the chance to buy from such a poorly managed establishment. My daughter has been paying rent in a new apartment and can't move in because she doesn't have furniture. They offered nothing to make it better. Joy is a disgrace. Please read this and shop elsewhere. Value City Furniture can get anything that Ashley Furniture sells. Go there! They are located in Eatontown, NJ and have been nothing but kind after they learned how we were treated by this disgusting store.
Visited Ashely today, and bought a beautiful bedroom set (Mayflyn) and king size mattress and box spring from Jeff Goodman. Jeff was amazing! He asked what we were looking for and what styles and textures we liked. Wasn&'t pushy, gave us time to think about our purchase and saw us through to the end. Great experience and we will definitely be back!
After an absurd amount of phone calls over the past 5 months I am left with using social media as the only way to get Ashley furniture's attention in hopes of them finally doing the right thing. On August 30th my mother ordered me a new bedroom set. We finally received the furniture on October 11th and it was extremely damaged. Dents filled the headboard and footboard, the night stand wasn't level, anyone could tell it was crooked with the naked eye, and we couldn't even open the drawers on my dresser which had chips all over it as well. We immediately told the man who delivered the furniture that we were unhappy to which he told us to report this to Ashley Furniture, which we did the next morning. After almost two months of calling Ashley Furniture they finally sent out a repair man to check out the damage. The repair man said the damage was unfixable and it would only be right that we should receive a brand new set. My mother and I called every week and listened to the workers broken promises and finally we asked to speak to whoever was highest up. This person told us they will send us new furniture, but then the question comes, what if this furniture is also damaged? The answer to this was that if it comes damaged they will take the furniture back and we will get a full refund. Surprise surprise, the furniture we finally received on January 30th was ALSO extremely damaged. The side railing is hanging off the side of the bed, along with dents, chips, and again drawers almost impossible to open. We did the same as the first time called a million times and finally got them to send out a repair man. My mother and I waited home all day on February 23rd and the repair man never showed. Not even a phone call. After an excruciating amount of phone calls and never receiving a call back when we're supposed too I have no other choice but to try to get Ashley Furnitures attention through whatever other sources I can. We ordered my furniture in August 2018 and since then I have been living out of a suitcase and have clothes scattered everywhere since I can't even open the drawers on my dresser set or night stand. This has caused my mother and abnormal amount of stress making these phone calls with people who are incapable of doing there jobs correctly and showing the lack of respect to customers who paid thousands of dollars for a damaged product. Now they are saying my warranty is up and there's nothing they can do. They have dragged this process on for over HALF A YEAR, its been 7 months in total. It's so sad that this is the way they run a business. I looked for months for a bedroom set and finally fell in love with the one I bought but now it's been 7 months since I placed this order and we have been going back and forth just trying to speak to someone to give us answer for 5 months. We just want it gone at this point.
This was my second visit to Ashley to purschase furniture. I was pleased to see Jeff, my salesman who helped me a lot with my first buy. This time he provided even more discounts and helped with interest-free credit. Very professional and nice guy, will do business again.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered a bedroom set and mattress from the Ashley store in Freehold. While my initial experience with the salesman was pleasant, once pick up of the mattress commenced, this is when the problems started. When I ordered the mattress, the salesman assured me that it would be stored in the store and would be protected with bubble wrap until I could make arrangements for pick up. I hired someone with a truck to pick up the mattress. The mattress was not wrapped, nor protected from the elements. It was dirty and torn. When I called the store, I was told that there was nothing they could do but that I could bring it back for inspection (keep in mind that I did not have a mechanism to bring it back). They offered me minimal compensation and that if I wanted to take advantage of their "generous" offer, I had to get to the store before closing today (the day I moved into my new location). I paid over $500 for a new mattress and what I received is a dirty, torn mattress. Now on to the delivery of the bedroom.....they delivered the wrong set!. The salesman placed the wrong order. I went to the store and spoke to the salesman who admitted that he indeed assured me that the mattress would be bubble wrapped and he "apologized" but that there was nothing he could do about the mattress. I asked to speak to the manager. Wow..what a mistake! She was rude, unprofessional, displayed an inability to properly handle any customer service issues, ignited the situation with her lack of integrity and compassion, and displayed a genuine lack of concern towards my problem(s). I wish I had read all of their negative reviews, all dealing with horrible customer service, before spending my hard-earned money at this establishment. Many reviews site their lack of concern once the purchase has been made and I can only echo those sentiments one-thousand fold. Now, I can only hope that my furniture will be delivered intact and in a timely fashion. I would never recommend this store to anyone and will try to contact their corporate office to hopefully receive professional and courteous customer service and amicable resolution.

I bought a living room set in 2009 a sofa and love seat with recliner in both sets at the Ashley in the Woodbridge store.my set is in excellent shape . It looks brand new still. I miss the store in Woodbridge...but they are in freehold now. I plan on going back to Ashley this summer to get a bedroom set and a table set when I purchase my new house . There quality is excellent.
When I was there Adrian the manager helped us decide which was a better sofa for us. I'm glad he did! we are super happy!
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE! I have had the worse experience with Ashley furniture. I placed my order February 15th and still have no furniture! I called on March 5th inquiring about my March 6th delivery and they told me I had no delivery scheduled. When I spoke with customer care they did not know why my delivery was canceled, I did not authorize a cancellation nor was I made aware. One person told me my furniture failed inspection and another person told me they wrote the wrong ID number on the slip and there was a miscommunication between them and the warehouse. I then rescheduled my delivery for March 12th which was the soonest they had available, the delivery comes and my headboard is damaged with a huge noticeable dent on it! How’s that for inspection? I spent 1800 dollars with this company and its not fair that almost a month later I have nothing to show for it. Now I have to wait for the furniture I returned, to get back to the warehouse to schedule yet another delivery. I have asked to speak with management and they always say the manager is not available! I was going to get my living room furniture and dining room set here but I will not spend anymore money with this company!! I am super disappointed with the way my issues are being handled.

I would not recommend this place in freehold with a Fox in a box ... or with green eggs and ham! First - I have taken off work waiting for a delivery that was supposed to be here Saturday. The person delivered my bed without a mattress box spring that I ordered. They told me they would be here Sunday and never showed up because the “ driver “ has personal issues . When you get a rep on the phone - they talk in riddles as if they did not pass a basic reading comprehension exam. This furniture store is a joke and the people that work there need basic skills English classes . Oh.. and I still do not have my part for my bed. Go anywhere but here

The show room is beautifully laid out and easy to find things, my sales person was Anthony and I Aneil they weren’t pushy, they were helpful, they were knowledgeable and super friendly, I had a lot of fun while buying a dinette set, two couches, an entertainment center, coffee and end tables !!! Their prices were amazing , I can’t wait to start my new life with my new furniture !!!
Sale experience was ok. Did need to use price match when found it less expensive on the website. They did issue me a credit of over $700!!! Though needed to take time to go back to store for this. Delivery once they actually showed up 6 hours after initial text of being 45 mins away. Delivery was fine. Found one small defect in couch & that was handled very promptly so far. Yet to see if someone does come out to repair it.

Don't shop here unless you can pick it up yourself. Ordered a Sofa bed for our daughter who lives in Richmond Va. The salesmen looked online and assured me it could be delivered there and would only take a few weeks. This was January 19th. It is now February 10th and have made numerous calls to them. Was told it was shipped to a warehouse down south and that was the delay.Tonight they call and say we are sorry but it can't be shipped there.Richmond Virginia is not in the middle of nowhere. It is a big city. I gave them one star because they refunded my money. would never shop at that store again.
I felt stalked throughout the store. I understand they try to make a sale but the salesperson was rude, pushy and I just couldn’t wait to honestly leave.
Had a great experience shopping here. We worked with Anthony and he was a pleasure. We usually shop in Eatontown and were in the Freehold area to look at a sleep number bed. Stopped at Ashley to compare and ended up with a new bed and frame - Regardless of the price it is always nice to feel like you are getting more for your money and Anthony treated us very well and went above and beyond! Hopefully we receive everything in a timely manner :)
I wish I would have read this stores reviews before stepping foot in there, let alone financing my $8000 worth of an order through. I returned an order agreed to the restocking fee and when I finally had the "credit" from the returned furniture they refused to take my order over the phone even though I'd already been in a picked EXACTLY what I wanted. From there it only got worse and when they finally took my order after trying to scam me out of more money than the couch was listed for and then arguing with me about price matching informed me after the fact that all of the items I'd ordered were out of stock. When I'd call for updates the date was always changing and they wouldn't do a partial delivery of what was in stock without charging me two separate delivery charges even though they offered it originally. It was a "new store policy" implemented the day prior. What a joke and poor excuse to try to swindle more money from the customers. I finally cancelled my outstanding items as I was able to find the exact couch elsewhere and it was delivered 48 hours later. The refund amount I'm waiting on has not appeared on my line of credit yet and it has been almost 2 weeks and now they're saying it could take up to 4 billing cycles aka 4 months. Absolute absurdity at every turn, customer service talking over and down to its customers, refusing to put management on the phone, the list goes on. I've come to learn the umbrella company that owns this location is regency group which also owns mealys furniture locations as well. My suggestion upon entering any store is ask them if they're affiliated with regency group and if the answer is yes RUN. There is a new store called value city in the same shopping complex as this location, take your business there. If your heart is set on an Ashley furniture signature piece don't worry, value city carries Ashley signature as they use the same manufacturer.
Bought a warranty to protect my furniture. Couch falling apart l, been trying to get it fixed for months and they will not. Horrible product and bought a warranty for $350 and got nothing for it. Both couches are peeling and disgusting and ottoman lost stuffing. This store did nothing to help after selling me the protection plan. This is shameful. They do not stand behind their product. Do your research when purchasing from Ashley and google. You’ll see I’m not alone!

Absolute worst experience with Ashley Furniture in my lifetime. I have spent over 20,000 dollars with Ashley throughout my life. This particular time was about 6,000. We start this journey in early November 2018. The interaction with the representative was AMAZING! Hence purchasing 6,000 worth of items. If this was the end of the story, would be 5 stars easily. Everything after was not. The items were only scheduled after calling multiple times. Two shipments. First I got half of it. Which was fine. Except my daughters storage bed had a broken drawer. No big deal, they will make it right. They ordered a new drawer and said it will be shipped to my house. Hold it until the next delivery and they will install. Okay. Next delivery was in December 2018. This time they delivered my couch which had two pieces of damage, noted on the paperwork, and the person installing the legs did not tighten them. Her dresser also had damages which were noted. I ask what about my daughters drawer and the gentleman attempts to install, fails, and says call corporate. I do, two weeks go by, not we are a week from Christmas and my 5 year old still has a missing drawer and a brokers drawer in her dresser. And no one cares it appears. Happy holidays for sure. Ready for Ashley to come take all the furniture back and I will go to R&F. Calling on the 2nd of Jan once again. And here is the final kicker. I get i apologize and there is nothing more I can do as the biggest reply. Maybe someone from corporate will contact me regarding this. I’m surely drafting my letter to the BBB. Thanks and happy New Years. 30 Jan 2019 Update: I have contacted Ashley customer care via email as the reply from Ashley indicated with not support or help. I have reached out to the customer service line multiple times and via email with replies as: the parts are on order. Interestingly enough, I have a promised delivery date that is well exceeded now (December 2018) as I approach February 2019. My daughter has a bed frame with a MISSING DRAWER that is a hazard to her and my younger son. An adventure under the bed can easily turn bad. Her tall dresser has a drawer that is still broken (dove tail not assembled correctly). No replacement in site. Ashley sent new legs for the sofa (wrong piece). At this point - COME GET THE FURNITURE! I just want a refund or to be whole. NEVER in 30 years of consumer experience, have I experienced this. Ashley is supposed to be highly rated - NOT IN MY BOOK ANYMORE. Anyone who has suggestions, please post them. Thank you John
The worst customer service to military service members. They have incompetent delivery personnel. Not once or twice but THREE times they screwed up delivery. Drivers could not enter base due to improper identification. That was the justification all three times. We could have escorted the truck on base instead the delivery crew decided to leave instead of calling us all three times. The worst part is they are coming from Pennsylvania. They also claimed that they can only deliver on Saturdays to my location. The visitor and pass office is closed on the weekends. We told that to the customer service personnel. Therefore it did not make any sense to deliver on Saturday. The company insisted it must be done only on Saturdays to my location without any valid justification. Regardless any day they chose to come We can escort them onto the facility with a simple phone call to us letting us know they were at the gate. They claimed they would coordinate with visitor and pass office prior which they never did. On the second attempt I asked customer service what is the fix and they could not give a satisfactory answer. Matter of fact they did not offer anything to compensate for the companies screw up. I had to tell them to remove the delivery fees. Now on the third failed attempt not getting my Expensive purchase, I of course now want my money back. The companies answer to me was I must wait 1-2 days until the tv stand with fireplace is back at the storage facility before I can my refund. It does not make any sense to wait for a refund if I did not get my purchase. If you are military or not do not do business with this company. They do not care about the customers. Ashley’s personnel even hung up on me twice. Again AVOID ASHLEY’S at all cost and save some headaches with terrible customer service.
This will be my second review about how appalled I am with this store. I placed an order with a store credit on Jan. 7th and was not informed until after I'd been charged that the furniture was out of stock and there was no estimated delivery time frame. I was lied to by the individual who i placed the order with when i became infuriated after getting the run around on this order for over an hour, that they could not see it was not in stock until after order was placed. Fast forward as I sit on hold with customer service trying to get the pieces of my furniture on this order that are in the warehouse on this order scheduled for delivery as i wait for the rest of my order to finally arrive, they will not send this without charging me 2 separate delivery charges. I've asked to speak to a supervisor during this call multiple times and i've been told that the supervisor will not speak with me. To add insult to injury, I am 34 weeks pregnant, and sitting in a house with no furniture and no end in sight, and neither customer service or the local store will allow me to cancel my order, they just point back and forth to one another as to who is responsible for accepting the cancellation. I am a customer, and have been treated absolutely abysmally by this entire organization, with customer service going to far as to tell me "it's unfortunate you are having a child but there is nothing I can do to help you out"... i've been screamed at, talked over and after the amount of money i've spent with this and a business claiming to be in the customer service industry, this is absolutely disgusting. I will NEVER patronize any store affiliated under this umbrella again. If you enter any Ashley furniture store in NJ, ask immediately if they are part of the regency group and if so, turn around and walk away as the hassle is more than it is worth.

We had a great experience at Ashley Furniture store in Freehold. Anthony was wonderful, patient and quite entertaining. We were not pressured and were treated beautifully. Nice product and we were happy with the price. We will visit again!
My hubby and I stopped in after also looking at other stores in the area. Not only did we get exactly what we were looking for at a good price, we also didn’t get haggled or pressured into purchasing things we didn’t want or need. Thank you for a pleasant experience!

The absolute worst experience I've ever gone through in trying to make a furniture purchase. Not only can the local store not answer any questions regarding your account, they point you toward "customer service" which is a number that just plays perpetual hold music for hours before eventually disconnecting you because no one ever picks up the phone. to get a simple question answered regarding your account, be prepared to sit on hold for a least 90 minutes before even talking to someone. If you need to speak with a supervisor, forget it, that's a whole other battle in itself. Not only have I been dealing with issues regarding a credit on my account and the actual amount of the credit (I've been told 3 different things, all adding up to differing dollar amounts), 2 of the major pieces of furniture I ordered are damaged, and while they've sent replacement parts to me for a tech to come out and look at and potentially fix, no one has contacted me about when said tech is scheduled, and again, waiting on hold with customer service for 90+ minutes as a woman who works full time is not something I have time for in my schedule. My advice, avoid ordering from any Ashley HomeStore under this corporate umbrella because it has been absolute hell. All I'm trying to do is figure out how much credit I actually have so I can order a replacement couch and be done with this whole process, and that is proving to be too much to ask.
I wanted to replace my furniture and decided I would stop in and check out their huge sale. 50% off plus 20% off and free delivery!! Wow how could you go wrong. I look through their showroom with some guy named Ab, who really seemed like he wanted to push the highest numbers on me but I get it! That’s their job!! I find one that I love they tell me some bogus numbers and the number that was listed, crossed off was double the amount of the actual price. How do I k ow this? I go hone and my husband wants to see it and I pull it up online for him to see and the actual value of the set was 3499.00. Their price was 6000.00. So I call a couple Ashley’s and sure enough the jack up the prices and try to convince you your getting this amazing deal!!!! NO!!!! YOUR NOT!!! I have bought my whole home from them. Everything I have is from Ashley’s but after this they have lost an amazing spender. I took my business to the one in Toms River. They gave me an unbeatable number with 36 month financing, when freehold said they could only do 6 month but would try for 12 months. Do better Freehold!!!! Horrible horrible business you conduct over there. Sad to see you rip people off. Calling better business bureau for false advertisement.
