Buying our new leather sectional was a fast and easy process thanks to Jeff Goodman, he was helpful and his customer service was amazing.

Salesman Andy was very helpful and knowledgeable. He pointed out the pros and cons of several dining room sets and was able to provide us with lowest prices.

Could have had free take away of old mattress...at least they took it outside.

Our experience couch shopping was great. Pedro was friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions!

If I could give no stars I would for customer service stay far far away from purchasing from Ashely furniture. My husband and I went in to buy a couch for our new home. Our salesman Jeff was nice at the store but. We were told our couch would be in by the first week of Dec we didn’t receive till after Xmas . Any updates he gave us were through a text message not even to call. He told us to cancel the couch since it wasnt Looking good the delivery date but couldn’t actually tell me the date it was Going to arrive I had to call their customer service dept overseas which gave me more insight. I’ve heard stories about Ashley furniture but decided to give it a shot but clearly I shouldn’t have I will never buy from this establishment again.

Stay away! They sell you a protection plan telling you it covers everything. 2 years after purchasing couch rips at the seams. After calling Ashley they give us an email to contact protectall. Protect all does not answer and after following up a few times inform us it is Ashley’s problem since it’s at the seams and clearly a manufacturer defect. We called the store and they give us an email for corporate and they don’t answer. We then call and they said we sent it to the wrong email and give us a different email. After waiting beyond the 48 hours, no reply so we follow up again with a phone call only for them to say because it is over 1 year they will not honor it. This company is a scam! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! They do not stand behind their product (obviously since the couch tore at the seams!!), and beyond that, have no courtesy to follow up or communicate. Will continue pursuing all possible outlets to make other consumers aware!

Went to 3 different furniture stores in the area looking for a Bed & Mattress. Ashley was our last stop. They had great selection & salesman Pedro was very helpful without "tailgating " my wife and I through the store like the previous 3. Once we decided, Pedro quickly provided pricing & delivery which was very reasonable. Next time, Ashley will be our first stop!

By far the worst shopping experience of my life. We received our furniture MONTHS late, and each time it came in it was damaged - leading us to eventual shop for a different set of furniture. When removing pieces from our home, they scratched our floors. We have been fighting for 8 months to receive money that they promised, so we can get our floor fixed. They do not return our calls and when they do, they promise they will get it fixed and will get back in touch with next steps - and guess what, they do not ever get back in touch. Do not buy from this store unless you want broken furniture or damaged floors/walls when being delivered.

I purchased a king and a queen size bed and two mattresses, along with a mirror from Ashley furniture in Frehold NJ. Delivery was promised and confirmed for October 26. I received a call on the Friday before that the delivery was canceled, due to lack of stock. The salesman and the store manager both said that the delivery will happen on Monday October 26th and the pieces were in the warehouse. As of today no delivery. The salesman now said some time this week the delivery will happen. Lie upon lie is what I am getting. They got the money and commissions, so far I got nothing. BEWARE OF ASHLEY FURNITURE OF FREEHOLD. Update as of 10/29/25, 2:11pm. I was just contacted by the store manager. He informed me that my delivery will happen on Monday November 3, 2025. One week after the promised date. We shall see.

Send me wrong Color and told me they communicate me in 48 hours!!! And they can send me in 2-3 weeks later !!!! I have to sit on carpet 2-3 weeks thank u !!!

Salesmen and staff always great, however we Bought $6000 worth of furniture when we moved living room set with end tables reclining couch three seater two beds one with the head and the feet that raise up two mattresses. later ordered the recliner to match couch. It was way too big for living room. Ashley refuses to refund our money from recliner. They have approximately $675 of ours that they will not return I’ve escalated several times. No one cares. I don’t need any more furniture even tried to buy Dinette Set went back twice. Same 2 sets there in a year now they’re telling me I can’t pick something from another store or Online When I figure out how to spend this money that you won’t give me back you’ll never see me again

Jeff G was by far the most easiest and outgoing employee I’ve ever encountered. Gave me and my partner the space to feel out the environment while providing all the details possible to make sure we come out with what we wanted. 100/10 recommend

best and easy sale i ever did

We had gone to Ashley after purchasing our sofa to remeasure the sofa we bought. While there the manager was condescending and overly dismissive of our concerns our sofa would not fit through our doors. She said you could remove parts of the sofa to fit it through the door. Later when I had called after it could not be delivered, the sales associate helping me said she “could not believe that I would be told that” and “clearly there aren’t removable pieces” to our couch. I was told the general manager would call me back to remedy this situation and I was never called back. We had to hire an outside vendor for $300 to help us with the couch to avoid the hefty restocking fee. Even aside from the incredibly poor communication from the team the sofa came off the truck with a sizable hole and unraveling threads on every single cushion. This comes after over a month of waiting for the couch and over four points of communication prior to the couch ever coming. Highly disappointed and will never be going back to Ashley.

I don't typically write bad reviews but since I can't get anywhere with Ashley, people need to be aware of how awful their customer service is. We purchased furniture for three rooms in August, with a delivery date for the first week of September. A few days before delivery we are informed that our bed will be a bit delayed. We asked how delayed, they said a week. It is now October 12th and still no bed, we have been misinformed every step of the way, always being told next week or in two weeks. Now only to be told December!! There is no reason why we shouldn't have been told at the time of purchase about the delay. If we had known, we never would have made the purchase. The sales person I believe did the best he could, although, I would think the salespeople should be aware of delivery dates and not just put an order through for the sale. He did give us corporates phone number after I insisted I needed to try and get this resolved. Corporate was no help and couldn't care less. He is the one I received the December delivery date from. He said there was nothing he could do and told me to call the store and speak to the manager, who could contact the manufacturer to try and expedite the order. Now we call the store, the manager will not get on the phone even after we were told the manager would return our call. We called back, still would not get on the phone and the person we did speak to, reiterates the December delivery date. We then say then you know what, we will just return the dresser and nightstands and get a full refund for the bedroom set. We are then told that no, it's too late. You can only return within 30 days. Well isn't that convenient that they stalled, telling us it will be here in a week, then two weeks, then after the 30 days, we are told, sorry too late for a return/refund. Unreal, worst experience ever. Shoppers beware. Awful customer service. I just saw there is a place to file a claim, I suppose that is the next step.

The delivery people were respectful, respectful of the property, put everything in place and didn’t rush to get out the door. I would recommend this company anytime.

I don't write bad reviews and if I do it must be bad, see my profile to verify.. anyway, while the store itself is nice and friendly. Their main corporate company and customer service is probably the worst I have ever seen, all my furniture came in broken, mismatched or chipped. Seriously, and the delivery teams they send, say one thing while customer service says another, not trained or really nice at all, had a bad vibe like take it, it is what it is.. It's hard to get your furniture and don't believe what they tell you in person, they just want to make a sale... Most furniture from their warehouse comes within 4-6 weeks depending on if it needs to be shipped. Would highly suggest going to Bob's instead as their company and service is far better. If only this store had better corporate. The nice furniture is not enough to make up for the horrible service, even at their price point.. It's not true quality or service, I'd stay away.

Awful customer service. 2 weeks late on a delivery that was supposed to come. I called the day before to confirm what time they'd be arriving since No call from store or customer service. They tell me itll be another 2 weeks. Speaking to them on the phone is a waste as they are useless (especially after the purchase is made). Then the Freehold Store tells me the "Corporate" office will call me within 24-48 as per their protocol---it's been 72 hours, no call from "Corporate" even after I called again twice. No wonder there's never any cars in the parking lot of the Freehold store. Awful service. No idea how they even stay open.

1st I’d like to say I worked with Elizabeth and she was great! I went here to purchase a mattress which I normally wouldn’t do but I took my the chance’s upon my purchase I was verbally informed I had 30 days to make an exchange. Yet no one ever mentioned the 25% fee plus $99 if an exchange was needed! I did not review the black & white document that states I would have to pay all these fees to make an exchange for a more expensive mattress which I have to pay for as well. If I read the fine print or was even told verbally I would have never purchased a mattress from Ashley. Macys return & exchange policy you only pay $99 freight fee! Point of my story read the fine print before purchasing anything from Ashley. My total cost now is $3000 plus $800 and probably an additional $1000 to get a mattress of my liking totaling to an estimated $5K for a mattress that I will probably replace in 2 years . Lesson learned here and the last time I’ll buy from Ashley!

And instead of trying to help they said oh we can add it for 247 dollars. Ya no. On line at Ashley furniture I was able to order everything and more with delivery for less including delivery and no hassle from a salesman that doesn’t try to rectify the issue and make the customer happy. So anyone who needs to purchase furniture go to the showroom to look take pictures of diem number and go online I guarantee you will find it cheaper then in the store without a salesperson following you around like a puppy not leaving you alone.

Let me not bury the punchline: ask for Andrew M. when you walk in. I have bought a metric ton of furniture and if you have, you know the typical approach. Furniture shopping can feel like walking onto Belmar beach with hat full of fries and hot dog buns on your head - you're immediately swarmed by a flock of seagulls who only want one thing. But Andrew was the complete opposite. He was a calm, professional oasis in a sea of high-pressure sales tactics. He helped me pick out a whole new family room setup, from couches to chairs, and made the entire process genuinely enjoyable. We're thrilled with our purchase and even more thrilled with the process. Andrew is the real deal and an example of “it’s not just what you do, it’s how you do it”.

Heard a friend of mine placed a deposit on some furniture in November and now this location after x amount of months waiting told them they were out of stock and will not provide a full refund?! You would have to give me back mine. Sounds like a form of "bait and switch" to me which is unacceptable. Please say this isn't so! Is this true? Not a good look if this is true.

When you buy a bed from Ashley, furniture and they tell you, the bed is a hybrid be careful. I had a king size mattress specially designed for me after back problems, king size fits on every bed in my house. I buy a bed from Ashley,. The salesman says it is a hybrid. It fits California King and King. I assumed it would come to the king size I believe him I purchased the bed. It is a California king bed frame and I can put my king mattress on top of which means I have wood slots, showing on the sides and bottom of my frame I wish I could add pictures so technically, I guess I can put a full mattress or a twin mattress as long as I am willing to look at the wood slots on each side of the mattress I am so disappointed that is not how the bed looked in the showroom. I feel like I was scammed by the salesman. supervisor from Corporate named Jackie says that my bedding and sheets will cover the wood slots. I guess I just have to jump out of bed not to get a splinter. Hybrid means buyer beware

He gave us space to walk around and decide what we want and then he helped us with the final paperwork and Even made some design suggestions. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience at the Ashley Freehold, NJ store, And the unit looks absolutely beautiful, and is a constant source of joy! Next time I need to make a furniture purchase, I am definitely going back to Ashley. And if Andrew is still there, we will definitely work with him again!

Salesperson told me my purchase was in stock and I would have it within 7 business days. Tuns out it wasn’t in stock and I had to find that out by calling them two weeks after my purchase. That phone call was received by a rude individual that said they had two months to get me my purchase. I’m easy that mistakes happen, but know your job, it’s that simple. I won’t be going through them again.

Was pressured into a sale. Promised me I could cancel the order since I didn’t even have a ship date. Called the next day and they canceled the order but refused to give me back my money. Had to have my credit card fight the charge.

Ordered 1 Sofa and 2 Love seats. Sales. Person Tim was great. Helped through the process. Delivery was quick. Sofa had multiple issues with scratches in back, both arms have leather issues and all seats with stiches not proper. We showed the issues to delivery guy. But they did not take the Sofa back. We were told file claim to get parts replaced. We feel cheated. Instead of replacing the whole Sofa, now we are left with chasing their services team who are not cooperative. During sales process, they claimed Ashley quality is the best. Sofa with so many issues proves otherwise. I will not recommend buying from Ashley.

So the management in this store is pathetic. We purchased a couch from there before the end of November. The manager Mike promised us delivery before Christmas. 1. Couch didn’t arrive until January 3rd. 2. Mounting hardware is installed incorrectly so couch can’t be put together. Ashley is no help. Management is no help especially Mike. Guy is to good I guess to call a customer back. Corporate is no help they just want to charge you to have someone come out and look at it. Stay away from this store and product line. You are just gonna get scammed and rammed in the backside.

I recently purchased a mattress from Ashley Furniture, and I am extremely dissatisfied with both the product and their customer service. After only a short time of use, the mattress started leaning to one side, which clearly indicates poor quality. When I contacted Ashley Furniture to resolve the issue, they completely failed to honor their warranty. Despite multiple attempts to get assistance, I was met with long delays and unhelpful responses. When I finally spoke to a representative, they told me that my warranty claim wouldn’t be honored, even though the mattress was defective. I was promised follow-up calls and updates, but they never came. Every time I tried to escalate the situation, I was either put on hold for long periods or given vague, dismissive answers. It’s been weeks now, and my issue remains unresolved. Ashley Furniture's lack of support and their failure to stand behind their warranty has completely destroyed my trust in their company. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from them to look elsewhere if you expect reliable customer service and products that are actually covered by a warranty..

At first, we had a great experience with Pinkey picking out our couch. She was very helpful in that process, but it is what happened afterwards that makes me write this review. We bought our couch in september. We were told delivery in mid october which was fine because we were moving in in the first week of october. Mid october came and we were told another two weeks. Then from there another two weeks. And now another two weeks. This is a six week delay without a couch with no good explanation. Reaching out to our sales person, she said she originally told us the couch was sold out, which she did not! We made it clear that we did not want to buy a sold out couch because we didnt want delays like this. She informed us this couch was not sold out, but is now going back saying she did inform us. This is beyond frustating and managment has been no help. This is beyond ridiculous, and I do not reccomend buying a couch from here unless you want to wait 3 months for it to come.

Bought a power recliner, for a family member who just had major surgery. Chair arrives damaged, cannot reach anyone reliable to get someone out to repair chair, that cost a small fortune. When he reclined chair back it would not come all the way forward, he was stuck. Unacceptable. Thank God a friend had just walked in and was able to help him. If I can't reach anyone of help today, my attorney and the better business will be called. We bought this chair so he would be able to be comfortable and sleep in it. Very disappointed with the whole Ashley staff and business. I will be contacting the BBB. ALSO STOPPING CC PAYMENT, TILL THIS IS RESOLVED PROPERLY. IF ANYONE HAS YHE REPAIR DEPARTMENTS PHONE # here in NJ I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.

Walked in to the store and was about to walk out when Pinky caught me and made sure I knew about the crazy sale they were having. She was so pleasant and knowledgeable that I decided to listen. She was able to put together a deal that I could not refuse, getting me exactly what I needed. She works fast, got me approved within seconds and took off a little extra to make it worth my time. I went into 4 stores today and not one sales person was able to get my attention. This girl knows her products and how to make it a win-win for her customer. My son will be so excited with his new furniture and mom and dad are thrilled with the quality and price.

The service from The sales people and the manager is amazing. Unfortunately we were convinced to purchase an expensive couch that we have only had for four months and now looks like we have had it for 10 years after contacting the warranty department. I was told that they would not be Help me. The couch is extremely uncomfortable and every time someone sits on one of the cushions, the indentation marks don’t disappear and no matter how you try to get them out they stay do yourself a favor. Do not purchase anything from Ashley furniture especially the Larson couch.

Never Ever buy anything from here . They convince us to buy anything will fill return guaranty . When we actual want to return or exchange they ask us for fee which they never told when buying . I had a wonderful experience at Ashley’s in Freehold because of my salesperson , Pinkey. I walked in 30 minutes before closing time on Friday night, and she greeted me with a smile like she had all the time in the world to help me. I don’t like salesperson following me around, I like to ask for help when I need it , and I let her know that from the beginning and she was extremely respectful of that. I needed additional time to bring my son back for potential more purchases the next day, and she walked us around multiple options for bedroom sets and living room furniture for another two hours. I wanted to make one more stop to check something out for my son’s furniture, and she let me know that was no problem and continued to work in the background helping me while I figured out the rest of my decision. I finally went back Sunday ready to make purchase and Pinkey had everything prepared for me, keeping my choices in mind and not trying to upsell me on things I didn’t need or want. All in all, Pinkey showed me all the patience and flexibility in helping me buy exactly what I wanted. Do not buy furniture from here!! I purchased a 5 year protection plan, I've had my couch for 3 years. I filed a claim for normal wear and tear; stains, seams undone, etc. I was told the protection plan doesn't cover extensive damage. Again, I've had my couch for 3 years, there's nothing extensive about the damage, the issues I'm reporting are normal and should be covered. Corporate was absolutely no help and neither was this store. I'm so disappointed and will NEVER purchase furniture from Ashley again, the protection plan is a complete ripoff and a scheme to get more money out of people, steer clear of this company!!

Avoid like the plague! Dispicable customer service and terrible communication. Working with them was a nightmare and I highly recommend you go elsewhere. I had an opposite (very positive) at Raymour and Flanagan next door. Save yourself the headache and go there instead!

Pinkey was knowledgeable and helpful Update: I was promised to be contacted the next business day with an update on delivery, however, 2 weeks later still in the dark. Multiple attempts to call the store have been left unanswered Update: they picked up phone and confirmed delivery date. Spoke to my original salesperson directly
