Let me not bury the punchline: ask for Andrew M. when you walk in. I have bought a metric ton of furniture and if you have, you know the typical approach. Furniture shopping can feel like walking onto Belmar beach with hat full of fries and hot dog buns on your head - you're immediately swarmed by a flock of seagulls who only want one thing. But Andrew was the complete opposite. He was a calm, professional oasis in a sea of high-pressure sales tactics. He helped me pick out a whole new family room setup, from couches to chairs, and made the entire process genuinely enjoyable. We're thrilled with our purchase and even more thrilled with the process. Andrew is the real deal and an example of “it’s not just what you do, it’s how you do it”.

Heard a friend of mine placed a deposit on some furniture in November and now this location after x amount of months waiting told them they were out of stock and will not provide a full refund?! You would have to give me back mine. Sounds like a form of "bait and switch" to me which is unacceptable. Please say this isn't so! Is this true? Not a good look if this is true.

When you buy a bed from Ashley, furniture and they tell you, the bed is a hybrid be careful. I had a king size mattress specially designed for me after back problems, king size fits on every bed in my house. I buy a bed from Ashley,. The salesman says it is a hybrid. It fits California King and King. I assumed it would come to the king size I believe him I purchased the bed. It is a California king bed frame and I can put my king mattress on top of which means I have wood slots, showing on the sides and bottom of my frame I wish I could add pictures so technically, I guess I can put a full mattress or a twin mattress as long as I am willing to look at the wood slots on each side of the mattress I am so disappointed that is not how the bed looked in the showroom. I feel like I was scammed by the salesman. supervisor from Corporate named Jackie says that my bedding and sheets will cover the wood slots. I guess I just have to jump out of bed not to get a splinter. Hybrid means buyer beware

Salesperson told me my purchase was in stock and I would have it within 7 business days. Tuns out it wasn’t in stock and I had to find that out by calling them two weeks after my purchase. That phone call was received by a rude individual that said they had two months to get me my purchase. I’m easy that mistakes happen, but know your job, it’s that simple. I won’t be going through them again.

Was pressured into a sale. Promised me I could cancel the order since I didn’t even have a ship date. Called the next day and they canceled the order but refused to give me back my money. Had to have my credit card fight the charge.

This store sucks. I came in here to just get ideas for a future move. As I was leaving, one employee asked, “find everything you’re looking for?” I replied “yes”, then he asked “so where’s your ticket.” Then laughed at me. It was a bit humiliating.

Ordered 1 Sofa and 2 Love seats. Sales. Person Tim was great. Helped through the process. Delivery was quick. Sofa had multiple issues with scratches in back, both arms have leather issues and all seats with stiches not proper. We showed the issues to delivery guy. But they did not take the Sofa back. We were told file claim to get parts replaced. We feel cheated. Instead of replacing the whole Sofa, now we are left with chasing their services team who are not cooperative. During sales process, they claimed Ashley quality is the best. Sofa with so many issues proves otherwise. I will not recommend buying from Ashley.

So the management in this store is pathetic. We purchased a couch from there before the end of November. The manager Mike promised us delivery before Christmas. 1. Couch didn’t arrive until January 3rd. 2. Mounting hardware is installed incorrectly so couch can’t be put together. Ashley is no help. Management is no help especially Mike. Guy is to good I guess to call a customer back. Corporate is no help they just want to charge you to have someone come out and look at it. Stay away from this store and product line. I recently purchased a mattress from Ashley Furniture, and I am extremely dissatisfied with both the product and their customer service. After only a short time of use, the mattress started leaning to one side, which clearly indicates poor quality. When I contacted Ashley Furniture to resolve the issue, they completely failed to honor their warranty. Despite multiple attempts to get assistance, I was met with long delays and unhelpful responses. When I finally spoke to a representative, they told me that my warranty claim wouldn’t be honored, even though the mattress was defective. I was promised follow-up calls and updates, but they never came. Every time I tried to escalate the situation, I was either put on hold for long periods or given vague, dismissive answers. It’s been weeks now, and my issue remains unresolved. Ashley Furniture's lack of support and their failure to stand behind their warranty has completely destroyed my trust in their company. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from them to look elsewhere if you expect reliable customer service and products that are actually covered by a warranty..

At first, we had a great experience with Pinkey picking out our couch. She was very helpful in that process, but it is what happened afterwards that makes me write this review. We bought our couch in september. We were told delivery in mid october which was fine because we were moving in in the first week of october. Mid october came and we were told another two weeks. Then from there another two weeks. And now another two weeks. This is a six week delay without a couch with no good explanation. Reaching out to our sales person, she said she originally told us the couch was sold out, which she did not! We made it clear that we did not want to buy a sold out couch because we didnt want delays like this. She informed us this couch was not sold out, but is now going back saying she did inform us. This is beyond frustating and managment has been no help. This is beyond ridiculous, and I do not reccomend buying a couch from here unless you want to wait 3 months for it to come.

Bought a power recliner, for a family member who just had major surgery. Chair arrives damaged, cannot reach anyone reliable to get someone out to repair chair, that cost a small fortune. When he reclined chair back it would not come all the way forward, he was stuck. Unacceptable. Thank God a friend had just walked in and was able to help him. If I can't reach anyone of help today, my attorney and the better business will be called. We bought this chair so he would be able to be comfortable and sleep in it. Very disappointed with the whole Ashley staff and business. I will be contacting the BBB. ALSO STOPPING CC PAYMENT, TILL THIS IS RESOLVED PROPERLY. IF ANYONE HAS YHE REPAIR DEPARTMENTS PHONE # here in NJ I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.

Walked in to the store and was about to walk out when Pinky caught me and made sure I knew about the crazy sale they were having. She was so pleasant and knowledgeable that I decided to listen. She was able to put together a deal that I could not refuse, getting me exactly what I needed. She works fast, got me approved within seconds and took off a little extra to make it worth my time. I went into 4 stores today and not one sales person was able to get my attention. This girl knows her products and how to make it a win-win for her customer. My son will be so excited with his new furniture and mom and dad are thrilled with the quality and price.

The service from The sales people and the manager is amazing. Unfortunately we were convinced to purchase an expensive couch that we have only had for four months and now looks like we have had it for 10 years after contacting the warranty department. I was told that they would not be Help me. The couch is extremely uncomfortable and every time someone sits on one of the cushions, the indentation marks don’t disappear and no matter how you try to get them out they stay do yourself a favor. Do not purchase anything from Ashley furniture especially the Larson couch.

I walked in 30 minutes before closing time on Friday night, and she greeted me with a smile like she had all the time in the world to help me. I don’t like salesperson following me around, I like to ask for help when I need it , and I let her know that from the beginning and she was extremely respectful of that. I needed additional time to bring my son back for potential more purchases the next day, and she walked us around multiple options for bedroom sets and living room furniture for another two hours. I wanted to make one more stop to check something out for my son’s furniture, and she let me know that was no problem and continued to work in the background helping me while I figured out the rest of my decision. I finally went back Sunday ready to make purchase and Pinkey had everything prepared for me, keeping my choices in mind and not trying to upsell me on things I didn’t need or want. All in all, Pinkey showed me all the patience and flexibility in helping me buy exactly what I wanted. Initially walked in and was greeted by Elisa. Very helpful and informative. Her manager Juan was very professional and eager to help as well. Once we decided on what we wanted and got the numbers we got to speaking to Mike, Stephanie, and Holly and ended on a good note. Excited to get my bedroom set, as well as my couch. Delivery is said 3-6 weeks so not ideal since I have no furniture but overall great experience. Wound up getting three different deliveries for everything and we shall see when it comes.

We always choose Ashley first for our furniture needs! We were really happy to work with Pinkey today, who helped us find a sleek, tan recliner for our nursery. She listened to all of our requests and helped us narrow down the many choices to the perfect one. She had lots of knowledge about floor models and catalog options, too! She was very patient with us and was nice enough to share her personal insight on why a recliner would be convenient for nursing an infant. Highly recommend Pinkey at the Freehold store!

Do not buy furniture from here!! I purchased a 5 year protection plan, I've had my couch for 3 years. I filed a claim for normal wear and tear; stains, seams undone, etc. I was told the protection plan doesn't cover extensive damage. Again, I've had my couch for 3 years, there's nothing extensive about the damage, the issues I'm reporting are normal and should be covered. Corporate was absolutely no help and neither was this store. I'm so disappointed and will NEVER purchase furniture from Ashley again, the protection plan is a complete ripoff and a scheme to get more money out of people, steer clear of this company!!

My mom told me many goods things about this place, but i was skeptical; especially since i HATE buying furniture. BUT, we both had a lovely experience. The employee who helped us, Pinkey, was insanely helpful and kind, as well as being very knowledgeable on what she was saying about the beds we were interested in. My wife was looking online for a new bedroom set. We saw a few we liked and we ended up choosing one from Ashley. We wanted to take advantage of their extended financing options, so I went into the Freehold store. I was referred to Pinkie, one of their sales people. She was referred to me by Michael, who explained my financing options very well. Pinkie was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable when it came to choosing a mattress style. After taking her advice, and trying a few, we ended up with the right one. I learned so much about mattresses with Pinkie that I now feel like an expert myself! I was very happy with my experience there and the manager took care of the financing part. Overall great experience! Purchased a side table at the Ashley furniture Freehold store. Salesman was very nice and helpful. I paid a private company $200 to have it assembled. After it was completed we noticed that the piece was damaged with cracks and paint coming off. Ashley furniture refused to send out a technician to replace or repair it without charging another $150. I will never go to Ashley furniture again and advise anyone not to use this company. They are only interested in money and not customer satisfaction.

I highly recommend ashley furniture especially with their protection plan. And I would HIGHLY recommend Amanda she was great!!

I’m giving a 1 star bc negative stars are not an option. I’m currently going through absolute HELL with Ashley I am advising anyone to stay away! We purchased a couch in June it was delivered in July. Our couch was amazing in the beginning until about 4/5 months in j start to notice dips where we sit. I would fluffy up the couch in hopes it would help when I noticed a rip and a defect in the frame of it I immediately reached out it’s been a week now and we just received a call that nothing can be done. My next step is to contact every new channel out there to let them know the horrible service Ashley ALL around gives! As a small business owner this corporation should be embarrassed $4000 + down the drain. Not to mention we paid $500 for the warranty in which the guy states the couch would be replaced even if needed. Dont waste your time done waste a penny. I would advise someone from corporate to call me to resolve this issue because if not every single news outlet in the tri state area will be called as well as the BBB I will leave a review with pictures and videos anywhere I can.

Store motto... MAKE THE SALE, IGNORE THE CUSTOMER!!! I bought an ottoman and it was delivered damaged. No customer service. I've visited the store, made numerous calls and all I get are promises that it will be taken care of and no one calls back or comes to get the defective ottoman. Consumer be aware!!! See below: a tear and a staple on the outside!
