Yes, this place I will give them a zero star so they lucky they got one. There are a scam. I’ve been trying to call for weeks for my warranty on my table. No answer. Call the store for weeks. No answer. Stay away from the store.

The experience st the store was a little bumpy at first, but the manager Wanda was great. She help me with all my questions. The delivery experience was good. They made the delivery in the time frame i was given, even though they didnt speak much english , we were able to communicate.
Tom was an excellent salesman. Unfortunately, the sectional although very comfy wasn’t put together too even. The ottoman came in a dark grey and I had chosen more of a blueish gray.

Worst experience. We bought a new couch, at first it was beautiful with the days it came like an old couch, the material isn’t good nor long lasting. I honestly wouldn’t go back to this store to buy anything for my house

Purchased a dining room set in June and it is the middle of August and still did not get it. They never answer their phone and when they do it's with an attitude. I had to show up to the store to request a cancelation and refund in which they told me they could not do until 8/12 because the last item was "in transit " and they would call me when "checked into warehouse " so I could drive back to the store to get a refund. It is 8/20 and still no phone call. Ofcourse a request has been placed with credit card company for a full refund as this company is a joke. I feel for the employees as it is not their fault that items are not delivered on time and as expected. Shop somewhere else

Rashoun was great from start to finish. He introduced himself and offered help without crowing us. When we had questions he answered perfectly and when he didn’t have an answer he went to find out as many times as we needed. When he was busy with other customers he consistently checked in making sure we were comfortable and wanted for nothing! A+ to this young man, I know he is going to do great. Wanda the manager was very pleasant and helpful as well. She made sure we were happy with our purchase.
Had the best interaction with the store manager, Elizabeth yesterday. She was super knowledgeable and friendly and did not rush our interaction. I notified her of my upcoming relocation (which meant I could not purchase from her) but still she showed me her well kept and organized showroom. They have a ton of display items. My favorite feature at this location was the large touch screen located on the first floor of the structure. You can search the website for different color variations, ideas and dimensions of items.
We went to Ashley's on rte 22 to look for some furniture to furnish our new home. Our sales person Jada was nothing short of wonderful. She gave us insights on the couches they offered and was extremely patient with us and answered every question we had. She also helped us pick out a coffee table and new entertainment center based on the rustic theme we were going for. All in all, her professionalism, knowledge and all around wonderful attitude helped us make informed decisions during a stressful time of purchasing a new home. We can't thank her enough for her awesome help and wonderful advice. Thank you JADA! Had to alter this review. My original view of Jada and the sales team still stands. However I literally got my last piece of furniture about two weeks ago. This company drags you through the ringer just to get your furniture out to you. They also promised to have people call me on July 12th, that never happened. Then after harassing them, they told me they would call the 20th which never happened. Then they said furniture would arrive a week later, never happened. They then blamed the warehouse even after telling me the warehouse assured them my furniture was in. Long story short, I purchased furniture in June and didn't get it until August, even after various managers (who sometimes like you talk very rudely to you as if you're the problem) gave me guarantees and assurances at least on 4 different occasions. They were quick to take my money but their customer service really dragged. Also, shout out to Wanda, who assured me she'd call me to rectify these issues once the furniture finally arrived only to never call me at all. Seriously it's no wonder why Ashley is tanking. When your managerial staff can't even return calls or make false promises to shut customers up, it's truly a wonderful how this company is still in business. Shameful. Never buying a single pillow cushion from this store, let alone ever considering Ashley furniture for a single damn thing ever again. Do yourself a favor, drive down the road to Raymour and Flannigan's. They had all of the other furniture I needed wrapped packed and delivered within the week.

Jada and all of the workers were very helpful. They were all very respectful. Although I didn’t purchase anything today I definitely found things I was interested in and do intend to come back for a purchase in the future.

I went to buy a sofa set. The sales-rep lied to me while describing a sofa as made of real-leather, but when I checked in the the internet after buying the sofa, it clearly stated as made of faux-leather. The next day I went to cancel my purchase, they charged me TWICE instead of refund. After pointing that error, they finally refunded both the charges, but absolute NO APOLOGY for lying or charging me twice instead of refund. They behaved like a shady business.
bought pretty much different rooms worth of furniture to be more specific a sectional sofa, dinning room set and a king size bed with king mattress. long story short spoke to manager a week and half before about the delivery and I was told some furniture had arrived but couldn't be delivered until Al the other came in so we made the delivery day for the 8th, I made all arrangements To be home etc. I have been talking to them for 3 days prior to deliver to make sure everything would be on the truck and the night before they call me to tell me they will deliver everything but only partial sofa because it doesn't fit their truck?!!! the rest of the sofa will have to come another day??!!!! Bottom line 2 lost working days and a pissed of boss because Ashley furniture doesn't do the promised by management.TERRIBLE AND RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICENEVER AGAIN
Terrible Experience!!! Please save money and your energy! Don't even try to call when you have a problem they do not get anything resolved. We have been waiting over 6 months to try to get our coach fixed. I paid over $2.000 for the coach and also an extra $500 for a protection plan. After 4 months we noticed that the back frame of the chase was broken. We filed a complaint and October of 2023 and since then the Manager Store Charles has been playing us out back and forth that is under the warranty company, the warranty company said that they don't cover it. Finally never got fixed and I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Placed and order for a sectional on the 3rd of February 2024 was told the items would arrive in their warehouse on the 11th. Then I would be contacted to schedule delivery. On February 5th 2024 I called to see if we could change the item from right facing to left facing and was told availability and everything would be the same. I received a call today, the 20th of February and was told they are in stock but earliest delivery is next Tuesday the 27th. When they asked if that works I asked for a time frame (because you know people work) and was told they call the day before with the a 4 hour time frame. Aside from the kind salesperson ( Tom Loomis ) everything thing else has been the opposite of what I was told at the at the time of purchase. Most likely will shop somewhere else where they respect their customers time.
Purchased a bedroom set with a bed, nightstands and a chest in July 2023. The bed felt flimsy to begin with and the legs under the slats of the bed started coming off immediately upon use. Called customer service who promised a replacement of the legs, but no timeline regarding the arrival of the part. 2 months later, we are still waiting for a replacement parts while customer service keeps providing a new estimated date of arrival for the part. The furniture looks good, but their quality is questionable and service is unreliable. In hindsight, we are stuck with a broken bed and feel that we should have purchased furniture elsewhere.
Very clean and employees where informative and helpful
Gave the store a call today and the person on the other line was super rude and I asked her to apologize and she said no and I was wasting her time. She gave me misinformation and when I called back she didn't want to right her wrong. She said she was the office manager. I told her it was not in good practice to talk to customers in the style and fashion that she did with me. I never saw her but I wouldn't be surprised if her outside reflected her inside. With that said the general manager needs to hire someone else who'll have etiquette and decorum when speaking to potential paying customers. The other Ashley Furniture stores were very pleasant and helpful and I will be going there.
Update:5/6/24still have heard nothing from them, still have no received my credit, and bed is still not fixed.I will be disputing the charge!STEER CLEAR! DONT GET SCAMMED! If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased from them years ago had a decent experience and the furniture was durable for the amount paid. Fast forward 8 years furniture needs to be replaced. Opened an Ashley’s card and went in picked out a bedroom set. We were also sold an upgrade to an adjustable base with the mattress we purchased. The set gets delivered and there is damage to the bed along with the drawers not being assembled correctly and the board under our adjustable base was not sturdy once pressure was put on the mattress. We call to let them know. They send someone out to fix the drawers and the boards but not the esthetic that was messed up on the bed. He fixes drawers and boards . A couple weeks later the boards holding up the adjustable base and bed break. They send someone else out. They tell me the adjustable base is too much pressure on the bed and it would have to be replaced. Someone comes out to replace it and it is the same base . Same thing happens to the point the bed is sunken in and it’s creaking.( lt was delivered in May) At this point it is July and still no fix. They then send someone else out and it is the SAME as last time. Someone comes out to replace it and it is the same base . They take it back to the warehouse and let me know someone will be in touch. At this point it’s late summer. I’m extremely frustrated. I then get a call from the store manager in Flemington. She tell me the adjustable base is too much pressure on the bed and it would have to be replaced. She was sweet and said she was calling around to get the correct one. She gives me a call back saying the correct one was found and it would be delivered. I’d also get a $500 credit on my Ashley’s card for the inconvenience with everything (mind you the esthetics of the bedroom set still hasn’t even been fixed or addressed since the second guy came to fix it).I then did not hear from anyone and decided to go into the store bc the customer service were not helpful.I speak with the general manager and he lets me know it was in the warehouse and they were waiting on me to let them know when to deliver (news to me again).He requested the delivery and said someone would be in touch.Someone reached out and the day of delivery to September.It was the correct one. Since then with the exception of the mattress sliding off of it bc it is not sturdy with the bed it has had no weight issues. I then called in sept about the $500’credit bc I was still not seeing it on my statement. They said they saw the notes in the system for it and to give it two billing cycles. Come Nov still nothing. I called in Dec to inquire.I spoke with a man who let me know he did not see it in the notes and I would have to go to the store.. I then asked if he could read me the notes bc I did not understand why he cannot see it in the notes when in previous calls they have.. He then said bc u have over 100 notes here and I have another customer on the line. At this point I lost it and said did you just tell me a customer you have another customer on the line and cannot finish helping me. I then asked his id number he said he didn’t have one so I asked his name and he gave me a hard time with that and I do not believe he gave me the correct name. I then hung up called back asking to speak with a supervisor and explained my situation. The call was dropped. They did call me back after but I missed the call and they left a voicemail. I have yet to call back bc I have been reflecting on how to handle the situation and whether or not I should write the review and file a BBB complaint before trying one last time to reach out to them, but I figured it would get me no where calling again bc this has been an ongoing issue since May 23 and they still haven’t even mentioned the esthetics of the furniture. So all that is to say RUN it’s a headache . $4000 later and I have not had my issues fully resolved.

Everything went smooth. We had all our questions answered and in 15 minutes we were checking out. This is my second purchase and I’m still really happy with everything.
Tim the sales man was an fantastic sales rep, definitely knows what he’s doing and how to describe the products, but check out process I don’t recall her name might be “Erica” but she’s a rude person felt like she didn’t want to be there at work. If it wasn’t for Tim and the outstanding service he gave my wife and myself I would have gotten up and left.
After a nightmare experience with Bobs Furniture in Union, NJ we came to Ashley furniture and was greeted by the manager, Charles. Charles helped us locate our replacement furniture due to the fact we were returning everything to Bob’s Furniture because they were worthless The sales rep, Tom, was beyond helpful and we were satisfied beyond our expectations Every person at this store makes up an impressive team. Thank you, Charles and Tom. You both were great.
ZERO STARS! Edited review. Stay away from Ashley Furniture. The bedroom set we ordered was delivered without the hardware necessary to assemble. The delivery staff said this happens frequently and took the bed back to the warehouse. They said someone would contact us to follow up. No one contacted us. When I called to find out the status of our bed I was told it needed to be reordered and would be in January 16th (5 weeks). We are left without a bed and with no reasonable alternative solution. The customer service representative at the warehouse was curt and defensive. When I offered two alternate solutions, I was dismissed. While the sales associate was helpful & knowledgeable, there are no quality assurance measures in place to ensure the products being delivered are complete. The warehouse blames the manufacture and customer service is non existent. Their nonchalant attitude and repetitive, "sorry for the inconvenience" response is a poor display of customer support. I won't be a returning customer and advise you to stay away from Ashley Furniture. Tom was super helpful & knowledgeable.

The salespeople here were very rude and condescending. Mark was especially patronizing. I was followed around the store, and was not taken seriously as a customer. When I expressed that I wasn't interested in the two pieces of furniture he showed me, Mark told me that he would escort me out of the store because he "didn't want to waste [my] time" which felt demeaning, like I was wasting //his// time. I didn't even get the opportunity to look around at other pieces! Super unfortunate, as I've purchased from other Ashely's stores and had great experiences. I'm grateful I took my business elsewhere!
If I could give zero stars.. I would. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Dresser was delivered damaged. I have been calling this store constantly for 2 straight days and no one answers the phone. Called customer service and they tried reaching the store and still nothing and was told only the store can resolve this issue since I purchased in store and not on line!!!! Disgusting!!!!

Tiny La was great in assisting us with purchasing a guess bedroom set.
Tried for a year to avoid a review but here we are. I paid for a furniture protection plan and a year later it hasn't been rectified. Every time I call the store I paid they send me to the customer service number which in turn can only email "The Furniture Doctor" (cannot cc me) and request a call back in 24-72 hours. The furniture itself is beautiful but there is a huge sink hole in my 5 foot ottoman.
Tom was very nice and understood our needs. Furniture seems nice and durable. Tom gave us some good deals on the furniture and still managed to knock off $30 at the end. Will most likely return to this store for further furniture needs. Update: had the furniture delivered today (6/19/23)and one of the delivery guys stole $200 from my wallet. They denied it down to the end. I called Ashley and spoke to a customer representative who someone from other department would call me to discuss. Waiting for that call.
There's a lot to be said about this store, the quality has gone down hard with time . My last furniture lasted about 3 years, we had to go buy new one .
Amanda at this store is absolutely amazing! I went in there not knowing what I wanted and I walked out with my whole apartment practically furnished! She listened and took the time to get a feel for my style. She was right on the money with every piece she suggested and was so incredibly kind and patient.
Promised me I would have my furniture delivered in 2-3 weeks. Didn’t receive a phone call 3 weeks later so I called them and they informed me it would be another 4 weeks until I get it. Rafael lied to our face to get our money.

Morgan in Green Brook was Absolutely Fantastic, We came in with our hearts set on a particular couch & loveseat and then we saw another possibility. Very patiently she walked us through our options and we ended up buying an upgraded brand instead. The kid is good at what she does.

The hubby and I came in looking for chairs, but left with a beautiful new dinning room set with 20% off! The floor room is huge and they have great furniture selections. I also found the sales people very helpful. Lyric helped answer all of my questions even after the store was officially closed. We ended up leaving with the beautiful Bruxworth dinning set for a great price, and might return for a future rug purchase . Thanks Lyric for all of your help, would not have made this wonderful purchase without your expertise!

I went to Ashley Furniture to shop for a bedroom set, the gentleman who helped me in the showroom was very nice. I was deciding between a few different bedroom sets, and made a decision (slightly over my budget) but the salesman ensured that I would have this furniture for life. I ended up purchasing a 3-piece bedroom set and a king mattress - everything was "in stock". When I went to finalize the purchase the staff at the counter was also nice, they were setting up the date for delivery, and then they told we couldn't schedule because the mattress was not in stock and we would call once it came in. I was slightly frazzled, paid in full and left. I checked my paperwork and it stated everything would be delivered by March (I was in the store in early December). So I called the store a week or later and they "were just about to call me" the mattress had come in. ok, great - got it scheduled for the following week, they would call me the day before to confirm, and provide a time. No one calls - I call the store around 4pm and they gave me the time frame. I received a text message that stated they would be there in " blank " minutes - kind of unprofessional but the delivery guys were great, everything was pre-assembled and looked good for the most part. Let me get to the point on why you should ABSOLUTELY not waste your money here. In the store I was instructed that I HAD to purchase a box spring.. it seemed a little strange with the way the bedframe was but I obviously listened to the professional.. when the movers put the box spring and mattress on, they literally laughed... you would have needed a ladder to get into this bed. The movers explained that the bed had slats and didn't need a box spring. (Later on, I called Ashley furniture customer service to confirm the mattress and the bedframe I purchased did not need a box spring - It actually says in right on the website as well, but I reached out to triple check). So, they took the box springs back with them (over $400 and I still haven't received my refund). I had my mother house sit during the delivery while I was at work. I was beyond excited to come home and see the bedroom set that I spend over $6,000 on. Again, it LOOKED amazing, but looks can be deceiving - at the time 2 of the draws only open about 2 inches and jam they also don't fully close. When you open the top draw to the chest the whole chest topples over - extremely upset I called the store to 1) ask about my refund for the returned box springs and 2) to explain the damages. Ashley Furniture in Greenbrook basically tells me it's not their problem and I have to call customer service - they didn't even provide me the number. SO I call customer service and have to put a claim through, I got an email and had to send pictures, etc. and they would get back to me in 7-10 days. so I ask about the refund and they tell me I need to call the store regarding that.. so I call the store back and they tell me I can't get a refund until it's returned to the warehouse.. they would call me when it was returned - of course they never did. At that point I requested a full refund, the furniture is junk, if it came damaged how is it going to last me a lifetime. I patiently wait to hear back from customer service and then the bed started to collapse a few days later. I had to call and put another claim in, and then another draw broke and I have to put anther claim in, and then I notice a few scratches and dents and that was another claim. They sent me some packages of "replacement parts" but I did not want anything to be fixed I wanted to schedule for them to come pick up their junk. I think I called customer service daily, and I would ask to speak with a manager and there was never a manager on site, but they could put a request through for a manager to call me back (which I had done multiple times) and no one ever called me back... At some point I called and spoke with the store and requested my refund thro
My experience buying living room furniture at the Green Brook, NJ location was perfection! My sales person was Lyric who was friendly, very knowledgeable about the inventory and a delight to do business with. I would definitely come back or recommend to a friend.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! I bought two queen size beds, and one completely split in half just a year down the road. The 5-year-insurance protection plan did not cover for this, and the store won't do anything about it either. I spent 1 1/2 hours trying being sent from one department to another, and NOTHING. NO ONE TAKES ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS. TERRIBLE AND FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE!

Nicely located store filled with hustler salesperson who would not only sell you but chew you alive with negative statements like; “are you going to buy today? I don’t want to waste your time.” Like they were busy enough to answer any questions.
Don’t waste your money or time. You are better off going to Ikea. My “furniture for life” all came in damaged with broken draws and scratches. My bed started sinking in within a month.

Horrible customer service. They told me a certain coach would fit through a doorframe. Couch did not fit so I tried to return. They charged me 25% of my total payment just to cancel! Not 25% if the cost of the couch, 25% of everything, taxes, protection plan etc…so I am out $300 with no couch. They say there is nothing they can do about it. Will never give them any business again. Shameful.

Thought I had a good experience until I didn't... My wife and I purchased a couch last July. We also purchased the protection plan along with it. That was a mistake! The salespersonn (Wanda if I remember correctly) told us they covered this and that and don't we worry!! haha its almost laughable now that I look back I shouldve known, but we were rushing to get our house ready for our second child. Just be aware if you file a claim, it's completely up to the company's (ProtectAll) discretion. They were nice enough to send me "partners" in the area to get my couch cleaned though. What a joke. It's literally a basic stain from my toddler. And this couch material doesn't hold up well with a handheld cleaner (I've tried) and it's ruined. $3000 down the drain. We at least want our Protection Plan money back...then I'd change my rating a review to a 3. Still can't get over the lies.
I bought my couch last July and although it’s exactly what I ordered, it’s not the greatest. Definitely not worth $3000. The one thing I do have to say (which as a mom of 2 and one dog I’m super upset about) is they lied about the protection plan! Do not I repeat DO NOT purchase the protection plan! It is an absolute waste of money and you could spend amount of money on a cleaning service anyway. I was told they covered basic stains and that’s just not true. It’s what they decide is ”warranted” to be covered. I want my money back 😩 I’ll never purchase from Ashley again just because of the lies they told. I should’ve known better but I was 8.5 months pregnant just trying to get my new house together.

Claim they want to give you the best deal and lie to you about placing your order online. I originally came in because I needed help placing an order that I had previously started online. I was hoping it would be a quick trip since I had everything saved to an online wishlist but all the pricing changed so I would be paying more for less items. When I questioned the associate they could not give me a reasonable explanation why this was happening but that “this is a franchise” he then brought over his manager and I found her to be very rude at first and could not give me a clear explanation either. She then explained with the financing I was using that I would be up charged for placing my order online. I came home and was able to place my order plus the 4 additional items they could not order for me WITH an extra discount. Overall I saved $800 to get ALL of the items I wanted by ordering online. Definitely something sketchy about this store. I will not be returning here and would rather drive 45 mins to linden than to be lied to by the manager and her associate. Disappointed
I must say that I am very impressed with the staff at this location. It was a lengthy process purchasing a set for my living room (no fault of theirs), however I left feeling I got a great deal and that I received above adequate customer service and priority. My salesperson Julian was a very big help. This young man hadn’t been at this location working for too long but his professional courtesy and knownledge of company pricing and promotions was amazing. I never felt pressured to make a purchase nor was I followed around the furniture store the way so many other competitors allow their employees to do (smh). Julian answered my questions thoroughly and came back to find me with answers to the inquiries I made , and just made the overall experience a very pleasant one. To the management staff at this Ashley Furniture location on Route 22 in Green Brook , please continue to groom your employees the way you have done with Julian… He is definitely an asset to this company. Your customer service reps and sales staff sets the bar for me !!!
Good selection in-store with excellent build quality and a helpful staff that actually listen. A lot of the design choices seem to lean more modern (petrified/weathered wood finishes) than traditional, but a great showroom and solid experience. Will be back!

Do not shop at this store. The management is incredibly incompetent and disrespectful. We went to pick up our dinning room set and they refused to wrap it and have it ready for pick up. The manager proceeded to yell at us and asked us to buy our own wrapping and take apart the table ourselves. It took us over 4 hours to resolve this issue. They were rude, nasty and wasted our time and resources. If you want a good shopping experience and easy delivery go to a different store/chain. If I could give a 1/2 star rating I would.

Stay away from this place.. it is a nightmare. I was fully charged for my furniture and still have NOT received it! The owner Sal he is piece of work. When I went to findout status of my furniture.. all he did is YELL AND SHOUT at me.. he has no professionalism, he is the worst. And they will not cancel your order even is beyond the delivery date and you have to pay 25% stocking fee! This place is the worst! Never again!! If I can give -100, I would!

Good place for furniture, they have both, budget friendly and expensive furniture. And our salesman was Mr. Arias. We had a great experience with him. Unfortunately the furniture we was looking for was not available, but the price was great. My suggestion is don't get scared with the display prices, always ask to the salesman for a price.

I made a purchase of a sectional couch. Everything was wonderful when making the purchase and closing the deal. However, NOBODY in the store gave me the warning that if the item doesn't fit, Ashley Store will not be able to return it and the customer must pay 25% of the purchase. This is totally unethical. As a consumer this is a shameful business practice.They only give you the option to buy from the store, but they cannot "cancel" the order. The manager was sarcastic when I went to talk to him about the issue pointing to the policy fee. Neither, the seller, him, or when paying for the deposit, NO ONE mentioned the return fee. Now, I have to pay 250 more for assembling the sofa so it fits through the door because Ashley stores send you two giant pieces (At least 5 inches tall). Again, sellers should warn the customer first, and then it is up to the consumer to take the risk. Total disappointment. By the way, when paying for the deposit, the customer service lady was on her phone on a call. Unprofessionally !I called the store on June 3rd, and someone said I would get a call back to see the second option for the credit store as I was looking for something that I need in my house and thought of a TV stand.Nobody returned my call, and I cannot waste more time with this!Plus, my fire alarm was damaged when the Delivey guys tried to push it through the door on June 1st. Beware! After you made a purchase, they do not care at all. All they want is sales, sales, sales!!!
We came in after looking at many furniture stores. Being that it was memorial day, the prices were very competitive. The couch we picked out was comfy, and what we needed. Tom Loomis was very helpful and always answered our questions. We are excited about our new couch!

We purchased our bedroom set on January 8 and were promised to have bed itself delivered the following week. Also, we purchased our bed with 2 footboards because our windows are very low and we wanted to have as much of natural light as possible. Well, time went by and we haven't received our items. In the meantime we got rid of our old furniture and had all of our things in boxes and bags (why not, right? It's just a week). Well, after 9 weeks I was able to have our order split and have our bed finally delivered. We of course would have to wait longer to get the rest of the set.When delivery guys arrived at first they didn't want to put the bed in because "there is not enough room" to assemble it. How is that possible if the only thing in the room is an old bed and tv stand??? Then they agreed to finally do their job and took my old bed out of the room. They broke the base but I didn't care cuz we are getting a new bed, right? Think again. Turns out no one at this company talks to each other! And no one takes any responsibility! After all of this they found out that they CAN'T put this bed together because it has 2 footboards (which again we were assured is going to work). So they packed up and left!Did the store manager call me? No, he went to run some errands. I had to track him down and when I did, during our conversation, he managed to yell at me! He blamed the guy that sold us a bed but of course no one else is to blame. He even mentioned that the night we bought our bedroom set he noticed that this is weird and as a manager I guess decided that this is not his concern.Also, I cannot stress this enough, this manager yelled at me and I had to tell him to lower his voice. Who does that? Then he asked me how I want to proceed and I told him that I want our money back and I expected some sort of compensation for our troubles. Apparently if you go to Panera and they do your order wrong, not only they would fix their mistake but also not change you for anything. But at Ashley furniture you can expect to wait for your set forever, have those deadlines extended into eternity, then when THEY make a mistake you can expect to get yelled at! After all of this, we are still expected to come back to the store to get our money back!Conclusion: we are going to sleep practically on the floor (and I could barely get off our bed from the height that it was because I'm 6 months pregnant). We will continue living like squatters with all of our things in boxes and bags. We have to spend our time to get to the store to get our money back. And then we can be oh so lucky to start this process again. Let's be honest, this mistake of not constructibility should have been caught literally at any other time then by a delivery guy with tools at my house realizing it's not possible after all this time we have waited.Also, hey Mike the manager at this store, great way of doing business and fixing a mistake. This is literally your job and before blaming others for their mistake stop for a minute and assess that maybe yelling a customer is not a way to go!Seriously don't understand how this store is still in business. Saw a lot of bad reviews. It seems that the whole chain doesn't care and doesn't address anything.

If you go to Ashley’s, do yourself a huge favor and ask for Tony!! He isn’t one of those typical salesmen that are pushy and makes you feel bad for not purchasing on the spot. He greeted me at the door and asked if I needed help finding anything in particular. I told him I was looking for certain items that I saw online and wanted to see them in person. Tony wrote down the list of items and knew exactly what they were and exactly where they were in store. He was very knowledgeable about the items as well as well. He made a few recommendations based on the blueprint of the living space that I showed him. I ended up going with an item he recommended instead of one I wanted walking in and it ended up costing less and fitting better! I am so happy that I worked with Tony. I look forward to receiving the items in a few weeks. I’m definitely going to be going back to Ashley’s for more furniture in the future because of my experience with Tony!

Dining room table purchased by the most professional polite personable young man! Charles… we actually wanted to buy more stuff from Thomas J! Thomas J. is the epitome of class and professionalism! Not a fan of furniture shopping, as a matter fact I despise it! LOL, Thomas J. made it effortless and no haggling! Purchased a couch in October 2021 with guaranteed delivery date on or before December 25, 2021. I completely understand delays at this time, however, we have received no updates despite calls to the store (phone just rings and no ability to leave a voice message) and our sales contact does not pick up or respond to voice messages. The only time we’ve reached someone was when someone called to state we will receive an update by the end of day - January 7, 2021 and when that did not happen we spoke to a manager who told us that call never happened (apparently our file was not noted) and was unwilling to assist, disagreeable, and frankly could not be bothered (in fact this manager continuously spoke over us from the start of the brief conversation). My husband has worked in customer service for over a decade and was appalled by the lack of basic training of this store’s representatives. We have never received such poor assistance from a company. All we ask is for the updates we were promised. We will never recommend others to bother with this store. Please note, I’ve purchased from Ashley Homestore numerous times over the years but this is the first time at the location in Greenbrook, NJ. Lesson learned.
Well. After waiting 6 months for my furniture! I fkk ok all I had a scheduled date for delivery. I moved my work schedule around to be home for the delivery and the day before my delivery I get a call that morning he date needs to be rescheduled! At this point, I'm frustrated and instead of being understanding to my frustration, Edwich, who is an employee at your store decided the best thing to do was hang up on me. I work in sales, I get frustrated people all the time, and that has NEVER been something I would do to a customer. 1. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE. 2. Ashley's furniture, You need to do better! And Invest in training your staff properly! If I was able to give zero stars, I WOULD!!!!
If you go to this store, be prepared to be treated horribly by one of the sales people. I believe he was the manager and wears a Yankee face mask. I purchased something online from Ashley and honestly thought it could be returned in store. Upon entering the store, he stopped me and rudely told me it needed to be mailed back and escorted me out. I will never purchase anything from Ashley furniture again due to his rudeness.
I wish can give them minus rating!! I made a purchase on September 7, 2021 with Wanda Diaz for five pieces sofa set. Ms. Wanda told that 2 pieces are on backorder and will be available by end October 2021. This was completely understandable situation and I accepted partial delivery of sofa set. Wanda also assured us she would keep us posted every step of the way and takes pride in making her customers happy. I started following up from first week November and made personal visit to Ashley Store. I met Wanda and she told me that now there is no estimated delivery date available and, to my SURPRISE, she said that we never had any discussion about estimated delivery date of end October. I still kept patience and asked for new delivery date which was given to me as sometime in December. Now in December, I started making calls to Ashley stores and could never speak to Wanda. The customer service lady told me every time that she is going to send email to their central warehouse will call me to give estimated delivery date. As expected, no one ever called me back and I kept calling them regularly. On December 10, 2021, I got another partial delivery of armless chair (still Ottoman in backorder with no estimated delivery date). Now this armless chair came defective with no metal locking pieces which is kind of safety device!! I again started calling Greenbrook store to send someone and get this fixed. Now they directed me to call their central warehouse customer service to make this arrangement. I called multiple times and explained them my concerns. Every time when I call, the entire story had to be repeated to a new agent and at the end, same response as “someone will contact you!”. This is height of frustration and worst ever experience of customer service. Till date I am struggling to get my defective armless chair repaired and waiting for the delivery of Ottoman. Buyers BEWARE and don’t accept any false promises from this store!!

After losing my home entirely from Tropical Storm Ida, along with everything in it, I was forced to start from scratch and furnish a new condo. Upon entering the store, it was a bit unusual seeing prices on furniture packages that, come to find out, were not accurate as there was a holiday sale happening with deeper discounts offered which allowed for a bit more options when it came to finding items that fit my price point. Our associate, Wanda, was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Not only did she understand the traumatic experience I encountered, but she also told me that she was able to help quite a few customers who went through the same ordeal and she was happy to be able to help so many with a fresh new start. Ashley Homestore should be very proud to have an associate that is not only informed but also empathetic to the different people, potential customers, that walk through their door. As a customer that admittedly *did* shop around before making it to Ashley Homestore, it truly made ALL the difference in the world!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to Wanda and the staff of Regional Managers (the Giants and Jets fan too!) that also made the experience seamless and straightforward. Oh and even though they have an outside company handling deliveries for the store, that too was simple and without incident which means that they are true professionals on that side of the purchase as well. This next chapter of my life is off to a better start thanks to Wanda and the staff at the Green Brook, NJ store.
I wish I could give less stars, but one is the least I could give. I made a purchase on February 15th with Wanda Diaz. She was very helpful upon our first visit a couple weeks before the purchase. We loved the set, that we also found down the highway at Value City, with another helpful sales person. The set was actually cheaper at Value City, with free delivery, but Wanda assured us that Value City gets their furniture from Ashley, and we would get our furniture sooner with her. We really wanted the set sooner than later, so went through with them. We were told we would receive our set around May, in which we thought was fair, because we didn't need right away. Wanda also assured us she would keep us posted every step of the way and takes pride in making her customers happy. Well, come May no phone call and no furniture. We follow up in June, in which we are told by lady who answers phones, we are looking at July. July came and went, we call again, ,ironically Wanda still never calls and we are told August. August comes and we call, two out of the three pieces are in. The biggest item is not in, so we wanted to wait. Still no call from Wanda. Crickets and silence. Call in September to follow up, nothing. Mid-September we get the call in which all the furniture is in. We arrange our schedule for the 3-7 pm window time frame. 7:20 and no delivery. Call the store. Oh, guess what! It is a Saturday and delivery company leaves at 4, so they can't help us. 7:30 furniture comes, but 2 out of 3 pieces. Coincidentally the piece we had been waiting for broke the day before and now we need another one. Speak with Wanda, who seems so helpful (what a JOKE!), and she will assure she will take the table from someone else's order who hasn't been waiting as long as us and will call me Monday, September 27th. I write this review in December, still awaiting that call. Still have no furniture, will be going into the store for a full refund, but what a JOKE! Buyers BEWARE!!
BUYER BEWARE!!! BRING YOUR LAWYER TO BUY FURNITURE. Once they have your money you cannot get it back, even if they do not deliver the furniture. We purchased almost $25k worth of furniture from this store. If they treated me like this, then I wonder how they treat customers spending $500 or $1,000 worth of furniture. SITUATION: We were told three months into the order that the barstools we ordered were discontinued and that we just needed to wait until the entire order was delivered to get our refund. After the rest of entire order was delivered, we went into the store for the refund. The store issued the almost $1,800 refund but Ashley corporate headquarters reversed the charge AFTER we left the store. How is that possible. We went back to the Greenbrook store again and the manager said he could not give us a refund because headquarters stopped it and there was nothing he could do. Mind you, no one from Ashley Greenbrook or Ashley headquarters ever called us to explain anything, they just reversed the charge and hoped we would miss it. The Greenbrook store manager said we had to call headquarters by ourselves to resolve the issue and he offered ZERO help in resolving the issue from his store. Oh wait, he gave me the phone number for Ashley headquarters. We do not know anyone in headquarters. We only know the people at the Greenbrook store, the ones who sold us the furniture. We have called headquarters three separate times and no one has bothered to call us back. BEWARE. THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU!!!
This store over and over has disappointed from a year ago when I ordered a couch in December and never got it and had to go back in March and re-select a new one. Now the both warranty packages I have do not cover any of my issues that I have with this couch. So what is the purpose of even having any of them if they don’t do anything for the customer
I have purchased smart adjustable base and bed frame from Ashley store and I was told that expected delivery is before thanksgiving which means it is almost 4 weeks after I have purchased and now it’s Nov 30 and there are no signs of delivery yet. Also I keep calling the store and no response. Tired of calling and leaving voicemails.
Dino at Ashley Furniture is the man. He was extremely nice and knowledgeable helping my fiancé and I when purchasing our first couch. He was very patient and kind and helped us make the best decision for us. Go see Dino at Ashley, he’s the best!

We made our first large purchase for our new home and we’re interested in buying a sectional - something large, comfortable, stylish, and great for entertaining. We had been to numerous furniture stores and were so disappointed at the high costs, small sizes, and lack of quality, but had been planning to settle for a smaller sectional for close to $3500. We stopped at Ashley Furniture on a whim, expecting to feel the same pressure and disappointment we had experienced the entire day. Then, we met Wanda at Ashley Furniture in Green Brook NJ. Wanda is quite literally the best sales associate we have ever had the pleasure of working with and I will ONLY ever shop with her again for furniture. She carefully listened to our ideas for the space, showed us various options and styles, and literally customized the sectional with us by drawing pictures, taking exact measurements, and designing our dream sectional together. Every request we had, she went above and beyond to ensure it was perfect. She is funny, compassionate, and truly is the best example of an amazing and knowledgeable leader in sales. 10/10 experienceMy husband & I were looking for a sectional/couch but had a really strict budget. Other stores were not accommodating and would try to convince us to spend way more but we worked with Dino & wow, he nailed it! (The manager was super friendly and helped us out so much as well so shout out to him as well!) We got the couch we wanted at such a great discounted price and did not feel pressured to purchase anything. He truly made us feel like he wanted the best for us and helped us get the price we were comfortable with spending. I HIGHLY recommend coming here and requesting to work with Dino. He's amazing!!! Will 100% come back to this exact location again + sharing with ALL my friends and family. ALSO- they actually had couches in stock instead of most stores in the area that told us we had to wait at least 5 months. Can't wait to get my couch next week :)
If I could give 0 starts for a rating I would. I have to say, I have never written a review for any company because I don't believe they are a fair representation of a company in every circumstance. My experience at Ashley furniture in Green Brook changed my thoughts this time around. I ordered a couch on 8/9/21, knowing it was backordered. I was given an estimated date of arrival for 9/14/21 and a guaranteed date of 9/20/21. On my own, I called 9/9 to check the status of the couch and I was told it wouldn't arrive until 10/20. There were no attempts via phone, email, or text updating me about a change in shipment. The manager Mathew who guaranteed the initial dates also quit .. I called back 3 weeks later and was told the arrival is now 11/11 .. finally I inquired about canceling this order since I was being strung along. I was told the ONLY way to cancel would be in person. I was frustrated since I live 30 minutes away, but agreed. I went in on Monday to cancel, THEN was told they can send a request, but they don't do cancelations on Mondays! I called to confirm I needed to show up in person, 10 minutes before arriving the following week on a Tuesday, and was once again told to be present in the store for cancelations. I then canceled in person and was told by the new manager, I could have canceled ON THE PHONE! The members at this location are INCOMPETANT and need to be properly trained. Not to mention a worker that was supposed to be canceling my order was finishing her lunch, so I was made to wait at an empty desk before I could be helped.
RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN! Go to wayfair, bobs or even the dollar store. Anything and anywhere has to be better than Ashleys!! The bed I ordered was discontinued so they sent me the next “best” thing (without my knowledge) which required a boxspring although I originally ordered slacks. After weeks, they finally sent us a box spring and it BROKE WITHIN 2 days. So yet again, after sending the wrong bed, we couldn’t use the slacks because it required a box spring so we slept on the floor and now with a broken box spring we’re on the floor again! It’s been 3-4 months of nothing but issues and go figure, our salesman has been absolutely no where to be found. Spent more than 5k and once we left the store, it’s as if we never existed. I imagine all the good reviews left here are fake reviews so be aware
A terrible mistake... Stay away from this location.. this store (350 Rt 22, W Green Brook, NJ, 08812) gave us the worst Ashley homestore experience. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Should have not purchased from them. We came to trust Thomas sales person and that was the start of our biggest mistake. We had repeatedly asked Thomas and the management before purchase of our furniture that it has to be delivered by or before a specific dates as it was a birthday gift. We were assured by the Ashley Homestore and Thomas that it will be as it was 12 weeks before. On the day of delivery parts of the bed were damaged, it happens, so we called the store and also the delivery center, again both, sales person Thomas and delivery center, looked up and assured us that the bed was in stock and that they will be able to deliver it next week so we agreed not to send the entire furniture back, as we trusted Thomas as he was still delivering before the date that we were looking for, what we did not realize at that time was that we were mislead to by Thomas, we should have cancelled the entire order and return back all of it, now we are stuck with the part of the furniture as Ashley Homestore will be charging us with the restocking fee, I was later educated by Matt who is his manager, his team is only responsible for sales, delivery is with delivery center, who knew that one has to know all and not just pay for the furniture and expect it to be delivered. Now we are stuck between the worst delivery service and the worst Ashley home store.. I seriously suggest go buy from another store do not buy from this store and if you buy from this store just know they are only responsible for sales not for delivery that you will have to manage on your own and if you need it before a specific date you will be sorry that you purchased from Ashley Homestore in Green Brook NJ..
You could come in and walk the entire store before a representative approaches to you and ask if you need any help. Other than that is a cute store.

I was alone and had no option to push my bed and boxspring to a corner, which scuffed my new hardwood floors as the delivery guys watched. Then to boot- the delivery people still picked up the bed to put it on its side! Customer service was very rude when I complained about it, and while I did cause the damage it is only because the delivery people stood there and refused to help and then ended up touching the bed after the damage was made. After that, they still had to return the bed frame as the replacement was damaged as well. Will never buy anything from this company again, the customer service and delivery logistics are atrocious. What a waste of time and effort on my part. I hope i can save some people the trouble of making the same mistake as i did by buying from Ashley Furniture. Human Decency is not in their vocabulary.

Ashley may have all varieties of furnitures with different ranges. But one thing worst about this store. One of their managers Mathew. Just avoid dealing with him. Short tempered and no manners.He did not even know what associates quoted and started arguing about the payment amount. The best person to deal with is Bob. He is patient understanding and apologized for his managers behavior. We could get our deal completed with bob.

Purchased furniture back in March and still have not received it (July 2021). Rarely answer our calls and IF they do answer, they are no help at all. First and last time that I shop there. Terrible!

Purchased a mattress 20+ days ago. Still waiting to get in touch with someone for delivery. Ive called the store way too many times and no one answers. The calls disconnect after 30 minutes. Guess ill be heading in tonight for some face to face interactions. Poor customer service, awful scheduling. Will proudly take my business elsewhere.
When Sal was still working there things ran better. My sectional is was partially delivered know one knows what is going on. I also ordered additional pillows corporate parts dept just provided me with the tracking number they were delivered to the store on May 5th (it’s June 15th I still don’t have them). I spoke to someone last week who said I would be contacted to schedule the delivery of my missing ottoman Friday. No one has reached out. To make matters worse as several other people have stated. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE!

Bought bedroom set for my 15 year old on January 18th. They told me 12 weeks for delivery for the bed frame. Received the dresser on time, but still no bed frame. Called the store at least 10 times, there was no answer. Left messages, no return calls. Sent email to customer service on website, no response. When I finally got a hold of someone in the store in late May, she hung up on me when I asked some tough questions. Lied and told manager I cursed, (never happened). Store sales manager, Matt, abrasive and never tried to de-escalate. Haven’t heard from them since. Emailed headquarters, zero help. They wanted $150 return charge for the dresser even though they have never attempted to deliver the bed frame. Store manager was supposed to call me back, (crickets). Never did. They still have my $1300 and my sons been sleeping on mattress on the floor since January. Thanks Ashley for selling a bill of goods and not caring once you have customers money. Update: they reached out after they saw the review. Finally delivered the bed frame in July (which was 8 months after purchase) and promised to refund delivery charge. I called to remind them and the woman said the store would get back to me, which of course they haven’t. So I’ll have to stay on top of them. It’s amazing that a big corporation lacks in simple, old fashion customer service.
It has now been 2 months and we still have not received our furniture. And we were now quoted an estimated date a month from now. I would have taken my money elsewhere but I was unable to get in contact with anyone for 2 weeks. No one answers the phone customer service is by far horrible. This is my worst experience with Ashley furniture and i would never use this location again!
Ordered a bedroom set back in March of 2021. Was quoted at most 12 weeks for the furniture to be ready. Friday, June 9th was the 12 week mark. I was told I would receive a call today to schedule delivery. I have not received a call. When my husband and myself tried calling the Ashley Furniture Home Store in Green Brook, NJ NO ONE ANSWERS. The phone continues to ring. We have been trying to reach them for almost TWO HOURS. this is totally unacceptable. We were told we would receive updates but the only updates I received was when I called for updates.
The experience with the Sales Person, Wanda was great. The check out experience was very challenging. I didn’t receive a date of when my items would be delivered. I was told that I would receive an update if the factory has my items. Its been two weeks and I haven't heard back. I’ve called several times now and no one answers the phone at all. I must admit that I am a bit nervous after reading the reviews and I am considering canceling my order.
Terrible. We bought the floor sample of a living room set 2 years ago. After all the paperwork was signed, no one helped us to move it into our van. The sign out front said "free delivery when spending over $1000". When I pointed out the sign, the guy (really tall skinny guy; I think he was the manager) said it wasn't for floor samples. After the first couple of months, the wooden slat underneath the middle if the couch fell off. Every time we would replace it, it came right off. Then we added more slats. They also came off. Neither my husband, nor I, weigh more than 150 lbs so I'm not sure what the problem is. At this point, we hadn't even had the couch over half a year. Since we signed a whole bunch of paper work saying we're buying it as is because it's a floor sample, there's nothing we are able to do about the couch. . We came back to look at the adjustable beds and mattresses yesterday. Not a single person greeted us or bothered to help us with anything (or offer to help us). We ended up going to the Ashley in north/south Brunswick and bought our bed from there. MUCH better service there. Avoid this place at all costs. We will never go here again.
The location and workers themselves are friendly and helpful. However, everything outside of purchasing the furniture is horrible. We waited months to get our furniture (fine) but the first attempt they never showed up and I was stuck waiting at home all day. No one even called. After we finally got most of our furniture my $900 bedroom chest was delivered broken. I started a ticket... still haven’t heard anything. Now I’m waiting on my night stand... which they were going to deliver yesterday they gave me a time frame of 1-5pm no one was here at 5pm so I called them and said we had to reschedule I would be leaving. They said okay. I received 3 calls at 11pm saying they were at my house and wanted to deliver my nightstand!!!! 11pm after I called to say I wasn’t going to be home... and regardless it’s 11pm!!!!! Who thinks this is okay. Beyond upset. Save yourself the frustration and just get furniture somewhere else.
We had a wonderful experience today. Raphael greeted us at the door and explained everything to us. We found the perfect furniture for our place. Even at check out, the ladies at the desk were friendly. Awesome job!
They claim to have a 50% sale but their prices don't match the websites list prices. I'm not sure who runs these branches, but avoid it at all costs. Price gouging and fake sales, also they don't honor warranties! Run by scammers!
I couldn't have had a better experience. Walked in, saw what I liked, was assisted immediately and transacted with Thomas who was thorough and attentative. My furniture came when they told me it would. Delivery went smooth. And that night as I was laying on my new couch I got a follow up call from Thomas to check in on the delivery. WHAT?!?!? GREAT customer service. Happy to return to this location just in the service alone!!!

My mother and I purchased furniture from this location on December 7 2020. We still have no furniture in our newly purchased home as of today March 29th 2021 which is embarrassing. We have been very understanding do to the pandemic and the effects it has had on business. However the lack off communication is what upsets us most, no one answers the phone at this location, which means you have to drive to the location only to hear we "dont promise delivery dates." We have had 6 estimated delivery dates that have failed. We will be cancelling our order today. It is my sincere hope that this experience doesnt happen to other customers
I'm still waiting to hear back regarding an order I placed back in January. I'm waiting on a warranty refund that I requested from the store back in spring of last year... they appear to be doing everything they can to get out of keeping their guarantee. I wouldn't recommend this branch. Wanda never processed my request from my first visit, told me to come back when I was ready to place an order. Meanwhile they were supposed to scan my paperwork so I could start receiving the credit because its not an instantaneous thing. Its a big scam.
Similar to the other reviews. This store doesn’t honor their delivery dates. I was told my bedroom set which was in stock would be delivered on Feb 12. On that date, I called and spoke to the manager who denied they ever said that. Then he said it would be delivered Feb 24. I waited all day and couldn’t get anyone on the phone. I then drove from work to the store about 40 mins away only to be told the “ truck was cancelled that day”. When I mentioned that I was going to file a formal complaint, the manager Sal got belligerent and told me that I “shouldn’t bash the store”. This is after a second failed delivery, absolutely no communication and no customer service to remedy the situation. They inconvenience you but don’t accommodate you when the shoe is on the other foot. I’m still awaiting my delivery. Tom at the store has been wonderful and trying to work with me but I wouldn’t recommend buying anything here. I don’t believe that they will be in business much longer. Read the reviews. They are consistent. I will no longer be shopping here.

Horrible experience. Went in to look for a bedroom for a new apartment and were greeted by Wanda. As we were looking around we found a set we liked and Wanda gave us a quote of just over $1400 - including a mattress. When we went to finalize our purchase with Wanda the total was over $2600.00. We worked with Managers Matt and Sal, however they couldn’t bring the price down to the quote Wanda originally gave us. Wasted hours of our time. Went to All Brand furniture down the road on 22 and had a wonderful experience. Will never go back to Ashley Furniture in Greenbrook again. Won’t recommend to anybody.
They are not honest white the contract date for delivery. I ordered my sectional in October and it is feb and still have not gotten clear estimate delivery date. They didn’t even give good compensation for the long wait
My husband and I purchased a recliner sofa from Ashley furniture today and had such a pleasant experience! Our sales woman was wanda. She was so sweet and knowledgeable. We told her out price range and what we were looking for and she took us right to an area with several options. We found exactly what we were looking for and are very happy with our purchase. Matt, who is the sales manager, took care of our purchase and was very personable and friendly! We will definitely be purchasing from Ashley furniture again! Great prices and great quality furniture! We highly recommend this company to anyone and if you visit the green Brook, nj store please make sure you ask for wanda!

STAY AWAY. Ordered the pictured couch in early September from Ashley because delivery was estimated to be late October / early November. Our expected delivery is now late February and we have 0 confidence we will even receive it then. Customer service has been abysmal to put it nicely. After multiple complaints they’ve offered us $200 off but this really doesn’t cut it after what they’ve put us through. (Side note obtaining the $200 credit has been an absolute nightmare). We went in person and pretended we were new customers and they said it’d arrive early March. Ha! Seems like they are misleading customers to close sales.
I purchased a recliner love seat, chair and sofa.upon arrival the sofa initially arrived broken. The recliner wouldn’t recline completely on one side of the couch. When I called to complain to ask for a new recliner because they gave me a faulty sofa, theyy refused stating because my husband signed the paper it is ours and they will not return it, instead they will deliver the part and send someone to fix it. They did. It was fixed. 1.5years later the love seat has already cracks in it and the 5 year warranty does not pay for cracks and the the manufacturer warranty is up. Ashley product is horrible as well as the warranty. It is not worth the money for their products. I would give it a zero if I could.

They sold me furniture in October. Ran my credit opened an account. It’s January no furniture no one answers the phone. I’m filing a complaint with the BBB.

The delivery was horrendous!!! The guys were throwing my bedroom furniture around and 3 pieces were scratched. And they scraped up my hard wood flooring and had nothing to say about it. I cannot get a return call from anyone at the store to discuss. Never ordering from here again!
As others stated, customer service is HORRIBLE! We purchased 8 items with delivery promised by October 18. I waited a week and because I didn’t hear from anyone (which that in and of itself is terrible customer service) I called continually for 2 DAYS before someone answered the phone. I was told 3 of the items were in (again, thanks for letting me know) and that we qualified for a split delivery, but they would also call the warehouses to see if one of them had the other items - shouldn’t they have been doing this already? I was told I would get a return call within a couple of days, but again that didn’t happen. So, I waited another week, called again and was told the warehouse manager denied the split delivery and we would have to wait another month at least for the other items. Or, we could pay $200+ for another delivery. None of this was communicated at the time of purchase. After they get your money, they don’t care when or if you ever receive your order. Do NOT purchase anything from Ashley Furniture. I’m sure they’ll be out of business soon.
I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. I have had no luck getting in contact with this store let alone corporate. I contacted corporate via chat as they also don’t use telephones. I was told they can not help me as this still is privately owned, last I check these stores were chains.... horrible customer service and I highly recommend you go elsewhere for your shopping needs.

My wife and I have always had a great experience at the Green Brook, NJ location. Friendly staff and service when stepping inside. However, looking back at all the orders we have made, their delivery and installation process has ALWAYS been horrible. Today was the last straw. Last week I had one of the delivery drivers talk rudely to my wife about taking our old mattress(that we had paid for to be disposed) while this week we had a dispute over the same order because there was a missing piece to a bedroom set up. The delivery is an extension of the shopping experience at Ashley and it seems we won't be ordering from there anymore.
Wish there was a negative star to give this place. I walked in with my service animal to purchase a full bedroom set, mattress and tv stand. After walking the whole store with my animal. Who behaved and didn&'t even say a peep. We were working with our sales person, when a woman carrying a table looked at us up and down, and kicked us out telling me my service animal was not allowed in the store. I explained to her that it&'s a service animal, she didn&'t even know the store policies, but did ask us to. Lesson one, don&'t discriminate against service animals, if you don&'t event know your own stores policies. Easy could have been a very profitable sale....IN CASH!!! Very disappointing
I ordered from end of July until September and still didn't get my couch, it is frustrating when every week I had to call them and they keep changing the date of the delivery, today I called and they push delivery date to October which doesn't make any sense.
Great furniture but the delivery process is so frustrating. U can't keep someone sleeping on the floor for months in the name of pandemic. I ordered a bed set and had to cancel after a whole month of waiting with no hopes. I was so disappointed 😞..Work on that!

I wasn't informed about my delivery date. I asked repeatedly about the date and they gave the run around. They were very sneaky about never telling me about delivery date. After I called they told me it will take 4 to 8 weeks to get my bedroom set because it's not in the warehouse. So they took my money without giving me notice that the goods are not in stock. Later they said I could cancel but will charged a fee. The worse experience ever. Never will shop at Ashley's again. The delivery is NOT free!
We visited 7 stores to find a sectional couch and hit the jackpot with Ashley Homestore-Greenbrook. They offer high quality furniture at extremely affordable prices and the staff is excellent. Update!! My experience inside the store when I was purchasing my item was more than exceptional and the staff was extremely helpful and professional. But everything since my visit to the store has been a complete let down and extremely frustrating. After my order was not fulfilled by the date it was promised I had to contact the store several times to try and get some kind of update on when I would receive my order. I could never get a straight answer and when I was promised to be contacted back with updates I never received a call. This happened three different times. The last time I tried to call and speak to a manger but I was left on hold for 20 minutes just for them to inform me that the manager was busy and was not able to speak at the moment. I know a lot has been going on due to the pandemic and that delays deliveries. But it’s just the lack of communication that took place. After waiting for two months for my item I eventually just had to cancel my order due to the lack of communication. Beware of purchasing items with them at this moment especially if you would like it in a reasonable time.

I want to start off by saying that I'm aware of the ongoing pandemic and its effects on everything. That being said , Ashley Furniture is open and being open for business should mean a continued commitment to excellent costumer service. I have purchased from this store in the past with no issues but this is my last purchase. I placed an order for a sectional and entertainment center on 6/20 and was told delivery would take 2-6weeks. I was assured that if delivery took more than 3 weeks I would be contacted. That was a lie and I had to call myself. I was told that 1 piece of the sectional was not in stock but they would send an email to the company to get a date. Another lie because after 1week I had to call the store again. This time I was told my Furniture won't be in stock until 8/20. The salesman on the call was not sympathetic or apologetic and kept interrupting my conversation. I can excuse almost anything but being rude is not acceptable whether you're spending $20 or $2000 . And to add insult to injury the salesman warned me that there would be a restocking fee if I chose to cancel my order. As if. Ashley Furniture of Greenbrook will never get my hard earned money again.

The experience at the Green Brook, NJ location was nice enough. Our salesperson was good and we found furniture we liked. However, Ashley uses a TERRIBLE third-party company for delivery, so two stars instead of one since the issue isn't with the people at the store. But since delivery is an extension of the shopping experience at Ashley, and IT WAS AWFUL, Ashley has lost a customer for life. So if you're shopping for furniture think VERY CAREFULLY before you shop there - unless you'll be bringing your items home yourself. If not you'll deal with their atrocious delivery company, and you WILL regret it.
Nice store, helpful salespeople, TERRIBLE third-party delivery service. Way to go Ashley, you found the absolute WORST company to contract your deliveries to and it's cost you a customer for life. Never again.
Whatever you do, do not buy their warranty. It's a SCAM. When you call them they get away with one or the other thing is not covered.

Worst quality furniture I have ever seen. Not even 6 months and the table and chairs are falling literally apart. Not solid wood so it just all falls out the bottom of the chair. It looked nice at first but not good quality. And spoke to manager who said it's normal for this to happen if I use the chairs. So am I suppose to by a table and chairs to look at them?? Also bought couch and love seat that are ok.. not good quality tho and mattress is suppose to last 10 years already is uncomfortable. Spent over 3000$ for bad quality. Will never reccomend or shop there again

The store open with appointment. It was nice having the store to yourself, and personal staff member ,Maria to help use pick out the right furniture for our home. She made possible to see different coffee tables and end tables look with the sofa and love seat. The manager Meesha , as very friendly and help full with get us a delivery date that worked for us. The price and quality was good. After purchase, I found out the item was out of stock and would not be delivered for up to 6 weeks. It turned out delivery is not scheduled until March 14. I'm very dissatisfied that this information was not made available prior to purchase. I would not have bought it and gone to another store. I will not recommend Ashley to anyone else.
Customer services is little to be desired. Bought a wall unit not happy with the quality (spent $1200) it now becomes my problem. All stores are independently owned and they have their own return policies. Beware consumers... the Ashley Furniture store in Greenbrook, NJ has a non- returnable / non refundable policy. You don't like it too bad your stuck with it.
My husband and I went to Ashley to look at mattresses on Saturday Feb. 22,. We were greeted by a very nice sales associate Tom Loomis. We weren't quite sure what we wanted but we knew we needed firm but not concrete and wanted the head and foot to rise. Tom let us try a number of mattresses and explained the differences in the construction and comfort of them. We truly felt Tom was very knowledgeable and interested in our concerns . Without his help we would have been lost and we did buy our new msttress. Tom is a wonderful representative for the Ashley Co. And a real asset to your Ashley Furnitire Store. Overall, we are very happy with the experience and would definitely go back there.

One word, confused. When I walked in with my wife we were greeted by a woman sitting down that asked us if we were VIP. We asked what that meant and got no explanation. We asked if we could look around and her reply made us feel like the store was only open to VIP customers, it was the middle of the day on Saturday. I would imagine this would be best time for the store to make sales on people coming into the store. We looked around for a bit but just felt uncomfortable like we should not be there. Its unfortunate because my wife and I are ready to buy new furniture for our home. A friendly greeting and willingness to help goes along way. We will shop some where else
Frustrated and disappointed in Ashley Furniture for selling less than quality items and then not holding themselves accountable. I even purchased an extended warranty that was SUPPOSED to cover everything but “jaws and claws”, and when the springs in my couch cushions (in the middle no less) collapsed, there is no one willing to repair or replace the furniture. Thought I was saving money going to Ashley, but buying a couch every 4 years is an abhorrent waste of money.
Went in Friday to find an end table. Sales man was fine and offered his help, but was not pushy. Of course we can't take the one off the floor, but to our luck there were 2 in the store he told us and could probably take it. After he went to speak to someone we were told no and would have to wait up to 6 weeks for 1 small end table. The table is sitting in the warehouse not more then 1 hour away. So I am waiting up to 6 weeks and had to pay $20. delivery charge so I can pick it up at the store. Of course the salesman was going to call us Tuesday with a approximate delivery time. It's Thursday and I won't hold my breath. Now I remember why I order things online. I would have it by now.

When showing the items to the salesman, he was walking us all over the store cause he had a hard time locating the items we wanted. When it came time to discuss with my husband the items we wanted, he wouldn't leave us alone and stood around near us. I guess he really needed the sale. Then he called the sales manager to negotiate a deal/bargain since we said we wanted to come back on black friday to see if the sale would get better. He offered us about 10% off the total purchase and my husband thought it was a good idea to buy. A few days later, not even a week later, we found the deal got even better and we wanted to refund our items. Please note we were spending about $7,000. The one sales rep indicated that we couldn't return the items unless we pay a restocking fee of 10% of our purchase. I hung up and ended up calling again to speak with a different representative and she was happily able to refund our money with no restocking fee since the furniture didn't even leave the warehouse yet. Ugh . To make matters worse, when we finally finalized our purchase 2nd time around with the better deal/price/discount. The delivery ppl didnt even have their own tools and delivered us the wrong base. The delivery ppl just left our mattress on our wooden bed frame with no base. They also were short a worker and expected my husband to help them assemble and carry up the furniture. They are lucky that we even let them borrow our tools. Total time to move the furniture upstairs and assembly took more than 4 hours!! We finally got our base delivered 5 days later. Well to make matters worse, we were promised to receive a phone call before the delivery men arrived to receive the base since we had to run home from work to let them in. The delivery rep failed to call us and threatened to send the delivery men away. We begged the delivery rep to wait for us to come home in 15 minutes but she refused to have them wait another 15 minutes. I was almost in tears because I had been sleeping on a mattress that was totally misaligned over our wooden bed frame slats for the last 5 days. Luckily my husband was able to directly get in contact with the delivery driver and instructed him to return to our home to finalize the delivery. To say the least this was one of my worst purchasing experiences. For spending this amount of money I expected much better customer service but it looks like Ashley just wants to make money and could care less about their customers. The only reason I'm giving Ashley 1 star is because I actually like their furniture. Especially the mattress base which adjusts and vibrates. I have to say I havent had this good of a sleep in all the years I've been sleeping. The mattress we purchased was the firm beauty rest which is totally worth the thousands of dollars.

Well to make matters worse, we were promised to receive a phone call before the delivery men arrived to receive the base since we had to run home from work to let them in. The delivery rep failed to call us and threatened to send the delivery men away. We begged the delivery rep to wait for us to come home in 15 minutes but she refused to have them wait another 15 minutes. I was almost in tears because I had been sleeping on a mattress that was totally misaligned over our wooden bed frame slats for the last 5 days. Luckily my husband was able to directly get in contact with the delivery driver and instructed him to return to our home to finalize the delivery. To say the least this was one of my worst purchasing experiences. For spending this amount of money I expected much better customer service but it looks like Ashley just wants to make money and could care less about their customers. The only reason I'm giving Ashley 1 star is because I actually like their furniture. Especially the mattress base which adjusts and vibrates. I have to say I havent had this good of a sleep in all the years I've been sleeping. The mattress we purchased was the firm beauty rest which is totally worth the thousands of dollars.
DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! The delivery company this location sources out ruined my carpet when they delivered my couch. I was told to call with "Guest Services" - 60 days later and still no resolve. Their "guest services" department are SO incredibly rude and not helpful. It cost me $250 to have my carpets cleaned. If I could do it all over again I would go ANYWHERE BUT HERE. The store washes their hands of you once you swipe your card, and good luck getting a response from "guest services" -- honestly the worst experience ever! STAY FAR AWAY!

We have not received our furniture delivery yet, but we are excited for our new dressers, sectional and dining table set that met our budget. Lots of options in the store!

Copying over my Yelp review because I really want to give the Ashley team a shoutout for making our furniture shopping experience super easy. Had a wonderful experience today at Ashley Furniture in green brook. I went in there with my fiancé to look at some dining sets and a couple other things we had seen online. The store had plenty of different sets and designs and it was really great to confirm that the quality of the items really was as good as it looked in the pictures (I’m not a fan of fake wood, composite, laminate type stuff and we liked the quality of items we were seeing). Our sales rep Wanda was excellent and we had an absolute pleasure working with her to see the variety of furniture and compare different things based on our needs and budget. After we had a few items on our minds the sales manager Sal helped bundle our items and break down the costs to try to give us the best possible deal. He worked with us on the interest free financing and we ended up getting most of what we need for our new place. Overall a wonderful experience and a big thanks to the Ashley team for helping us with our purchase!

When I purchased the bedroom furniture I was told it would be delivered in 2 weeks but they could not schedule a delivery date. That was the first sign that things were shady. Then I was told that my furniture would be delivered by the 4th week... again no furniture. On the 5th week I called and got the run around about getting a purchase order for the mirror that comes with the dresser. I was so annoyed that I asked them to deliver the furniture without the mirror and they could deliver the mirror when they figured out the purchase order mystery. Finally, we received a call to schedule delivery for December 13th we never got a call to confirm but I assumed that everything was set to be delivered. On delivery day I waited for a truck to pull up to my house but no truck. I called the store and of course we weren't scheduled for the 13th but for the 21st. I was so upset I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was the manager yet all she could say is that they would give me a $100 credit. Deliver my damn furniture that's what I want. My son has been waiting for his furniture. I asked for corporate manager and she gave me a customer service number. He put me on hold while he referred back with the store. All he could do was deliver on the 19th. Don't tell me that they have one delivery truck coming into New Jersey. (According to manager the warehouse is in PA). I am going through store reviews and I would like to know who it is that thanks everyone who gives them a good review, yet, does not address anyone who has had bad customer service or given a negative review. Save yourself the stress and drive to Raymour and Flanigan . Unfortunately, I made a mistake and stopped at Ashley but I will never make that mistake again.

I left not knowing if or when I would be receiving my table. After calling the store I was informed that I would not be receiving my table until after the New Year. Basically, the salesman lied to me about the item being in stock. I am terribly disappointed in the quality of customer service.

So where do I begin, I walked into this store in search of a rustic style tv console with a horizontal fire place insert, which I had already found online with Ashley. Once I walked in I had found a piece. Quickly I get a sales associate towards me and I explained to him that I already new what I wanted and I needed a quote. He quoted me the piece for $2600. I explained to him that I had seen it online for a fraction of the cost. I didn&'t specifically specify what site. He then explained to me that it would probably be a replica of the piece. I showed him the Ashley website and how much they wanted online. His story change quickly! I should&'ve known that this wasn&'t going to work. He had no choice to give it to me for the online price. My order was placed on 10/26/2019!!!It&'s now November 23 and I have still yet to receive this piece they keep telling me it&'s in back order and that they will call me on November 27 when it comes out of the warehouse to schedule another delivery date. They explained that they weren&'t aware that the piece was on back order. I asked him why they didn&'t tell me this when I purchased it. Of course they didn&'t know.I still don&'t have my piece that I paid $1,300 for! There goes my Thanksgiving! Thank you Ashley!! Headed to the store for a refund.

The worst service and longest wait for furniture. We purchased a sectional over a month ago with some other peices. They have called 4 times to say our sectional will not be in for another 2 weeks. On top of that they schedule a partial delivery, once the full delivery is in the cancel the original delivery date and schedule for everything to come at once which we now have to wait another 2 weeks.

I wish I could give this dump zero stars. The staff are unprofessional and sales prices are a joke. Guy we dealt with tried high balling us by over $1,000 vs. their online prices. My husband watched the guy punch the numbers into the computer and it was all random charges which he couldn't explain. I called him out on it ....and showed him the online price. Then he got the manager over ...who under his breath I heard say "these online prices are killing us". I'm a salesperson myself. I would never be as dishonest as this place. After all was said and done they had to honor the online price for me...we set up delivery for this Friday as they said both pieces (couch and oversized chair) would be in...well what do you know...they're now telling us the chair won't be in until December!!!! Anddddd they said they'd only deliver both items together. Even after we explained we are hosting thanksgiving and won't have furniture...they said "not our problem". Needless to say...we are cancelling our order. This place is NOT worth the hassle. Go elsewhere. Raymour and Flanagan has better furniture and more professional than this place. What a joke.
Had it not been for a frustrating delivery experience I would have given 5 stars. We shopped at Ashley for the first time. Tom did a fantastic job explaining the furniture we selected and helped us find matching furniture using the Wondersign Catalog kiosk. Tom is a excellent communicator and definitely strives for customer satisfaction and Green Brook store met our expectations. We really liked the Wondersign kiosk, the ability to add our selections and email to ourselves for review and reference. Excellent technology. The delivery experiences needs improvement. Received automated message regarding delivery time window. Message was confusing, was not clear if must call the number to confirm or not. To be sure I called the number 8 different times with no-one answering. I later learned it's a automated number and no-one would answer. The automated message is even more confusing because the message did say to call the number to reschedule or incur a 25% restocking fee. So we're given a number which no-one answers what would happen if I really needed to reschedule. I waited 30 minutes past my time slot then called Green Brook Ashley. Green Brook advised gave me number to Ashley corporate Customer Service. Called and was advised outsourced trucking company is showing delivery by 7 pm instead of 3 pm. I was not contacted at all about the change. Fortunately we were available to accommodate the change. You can see the customer had to the chasing which totally not acceptable. And I doubt we would be compensated for our lost time and inconvenience.

Buckle up--this is a long one. Although I found that the staff were very attentive to my questions and requests, I felt that they were giving me the run-around, as typical salesmen do--telling me one low price and then, once seeing that I'm interested in buying the item, saying they made a "mistake" and quoted me an incorrect, lower price; over-selling their protection fee; stalling, etc. I checked for my item online before walking into the store. I knew its listed price, its dimensions and so forth. I ended up liking a different one I saw in the store a lot better and asked for the price. The price I was quoted, even with the in-store "60 percent off sale," was markedly higher than the price for the same item on their website. I asked them about the discrepancy and whether they would match the price given online, to which the general manager said they're "just not price matching today." I then followed up with the site's mention of a "price match promise," because I found it quite odd that their website is willing to match prices for the same items sold through other verified retailers, but this particular store branch wouldn't match a price dictated by its own corporate website. They said that because they're an individual franchise, they can price however they want, which, upon my later review, the website Q&A did verify. Fair enough. However, although they wouldn't negotiate on the price, even with consideration for the website's pricing, they continually tried to convince me and my husband to buy from them at a higher price as opposed to the website, specifically because it wouldn't profit them. They cited that when buying online, you have to voice concerns to an 800 number as opposed to a local branch, deliveries may take longer, etc. These are all concerns that, to me, don't outweigh the financial inconvenience of paying significantly more for the same item through a different medium. I also think that using these cautions as a sales tactic for two married 20-somethings who are prone to and comfortable with online purchasing and who, like many in our generation, often use it as our preferred shopping medium, was ineffective and somewhat out of touch. Times are changing, and if local franchises want to make sales and not lose them to their corporate websites or other online providers, they need to work with their customers. Namely, they need to find ways to provide advantages and benefits that indisputably outweigh the conveniences of online shopping--which often features sizable "online only" discounts and rewards--from the comfort of our own homes. All of this to say, we'll try our luck with Ashley Furniture's online store.
me and my wife bought a living room set from Ashley in green brook and there customer service was exceptional. Thank You Wanda for taking your time and keeping us in our budget.
If I could leave 0 stars I would have. Since we purchased our dining room set, two of the chairs legs have cracked. It’s now been over a month and we’re still unable to get them fixed. The repair company they contract with doesn’t have any appointments available and Ashley is unwilling to take responsibility for their defective product and negligent delivery people.
I came into Ashley Furniture looking for new living room furniture. I was quickly approached by Janice. She was between 3 different guests. She would walk away from me mid sentence to help her other guests. She walked away with my cell phone at some point and I had to find her to give it back. She said she didn&'t have it and it was in her hand. She was all over the place with her thoughts. Janice told me that the ottoman that I was considering matched the couches that I was considering. They were displayed together. I also settled on another sofa for another room. I was ready to check out. Checkout was smooth. They were delivered a few weeks later and the ottoman did not match the couches. They were two totally different colors. One was tan and the other was gray. The pattern on the fabric didn&'t even match. I kept the tags on the ottoman and called customer service. Customer service told us that we can return the ottoman and pay a 25% restocking fee OR we can go to the store and exchange the piece to avoid the restocking fee. We chose to exchange it. Also, the sofa did not fit through the doorway. The movers took the sofa and it was returned to the warehouse the same day. I went back to Ashley Furniture to exchange the ottoman that did not match and the sofa that did not fit. We worked on the sofa exchange first. I had a new sofa picked out for the exchange. They said that I had to pay the restocking fee even though I was originally told that it is waived since I was making an exchange. At this point, I am redirected to Manny, the general manager. He was nasty. He rolled his eyes and said, &"Well today is going to be a long day.&" You do not say that in front of your customers. He kept answering phone calls between conversation. He kept saying that the sofa was not returned within the 72 hour period. I kept telling him that it did not stay at my house. The movers took it right back to the warehouse. He told me that he was going to do me a courtesy by removing the restocking fee. That&'s not a courtesy if I shouldn&'t be charged that to begin with. I dealt with the ottoman exchange next. Although my initial conversation with customer service said that it can be exchanged or restocked with a 25% restocking fee, I was now told that it can&'t be returned or exchanged at all. I was told that there was nothing that they can do. I reminded them that I was told by their own sales representative that this was a matching set. I was given false information. Yet there is nothing that they can do. All in all, Janice should not be on the floor guiding customers wrong just for an extra penny in her pocket. Manny is just down right rude and lacks understanding and sympathy. He kept making comments like, &"You do know that I am the general manager, right?&" Nothing he did or said makes him a general manager. I wasn&'t here to argue for a bigger discount. I was simply here to make an exchange as customer service explained. No one is on the same page. They all have their own &"policies&" that they couldn&'t prove. It is safe to say that I will never shop at Ashley Furniture of Green Brook, NJ ever again.
After stopping at another Ashely and having a horrible experience SAL saved the day! We were in and out of this store in about 45 min and had everything we ordered done professionally, friendly and correctly! We will be shopping here again and again and again!!!

We moved into a new house at the end of August. About a week prior to closing, we went to Ashley Furniture store on Route 22 in Greenbrook, NJ to purchase bedroom furniture for my son. We bought 2 dressers and a loft bed on about August 23 or 24, which cost over $2,000. We were told the dressers would be available in about a week, but the bed would take "at most" 6 weeks. About 3 weeks later we called for an update and were told the bed wouldn't be delivered until the beginning of November. To make the situation even worse, I was told that because I had only paid for one delivery, Ashley would not deliver the 2 dressers until the bed was ready, even though they had the dressers available at that time for delivery. It was not until my 3 call to complain did they finally relent and agree to deliver the dressers before the bed. But, they didn't agree to this until I called to cancel the entire order. Twice prior to my call to cancel, they denied 2 separate deliveries. Amazingly, once I called to cancel the entire order, they quickly agreed to deliver the dressers before the bed. Needless to say, I was pretty surprised when I got an email this morning asking me to post a review. Mind you, the dressers still aren't here. They are scheduled to be delivered this afternoon. As for the bed, I do not have any idea when it will be delivered. I'm hoping my son will have a bed to sleep in by Christmas Eve. **UPDATE** Both dressers arrived today damaged and I sent them back.
This rating is for the Misha-District Manager, @ GreenBrook, NJ. My furniture was delivered and it was the wrong item, I immediately contacted them and shortly arrived in the store. I spoke with Office MAnager Keyona, who was helpful but I needed a Higher level staff member. Misha was with another client and asked if I could wait , so I did. When I tell you her customer service was TOP Notch, she was very knowledgeable of the product and ASSURED ME that she was going to fix the issue but at that point guest services needed to be contacted. MISHA AND KEYONA ARE THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AT IT'S BEST.
I bought several pieces recently and got a great deal, deep discounts and the salesman took extra off because of all that I bought. Very friendly and helpful. Not pushy
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!I bought my dining room set on Memorial Day weekend and I still do not have all the pieces necessary in order for the technicians to put it together. We are 4 months later and our table is still laying on the floor waiting for the rest of the parts to be delivered. We have wasted 3 full Saturdays waiting for the technicians to deliver the pieces and every time, some piece is still missing. We had bought the table thinking that we were going to enjoy it during the summer time but instead I had to cancel parties in my house because we still do not have a dining room table put together. The customer service promises to call us and check on this but does not actually call us at all, we have to keep calling and following up. Every time we ask for a supervisor, they are never available. I have furnished other rooms in my house and spent like $14K shopping furniture from Ashleys but this is the last time we shop from there and they lost a very good customer.
A big store full of nothing honestly and clearly the sales prices were clearly fake. A ridiculously high number slashed with another number that was less than half of the price that was clearly a fake markdown. Salesnen were nice enough but I just want ti look around without being following or asked what I'm looking for.
Like the furniture, very disappointed with the delivery/installation service, and customer support. Purchased a king size bed and was told the 2 box springs were a “requirement” by the sales person. The bed was delivered and put together with the height being 3 feet off the ground extremely high. I contacted the manager regarding my concern and she agreed the height of the bed was high. She mentioned the “bunkeye board option” which would lower the height. I explained this was the first time I heard about the bunkeye board and was told the 2 box springs were a “requirement” with no other options. The store managers response was “i dont know why the sales person told you that-sorry” and now I am left to pay a “restocking fee” and a “cancelation fee” totaling about $200 for items I was told were a requirement. It has now been over 2 weeks since the furniture has been delivered and I am still yet to use the new bed *Also got a fireplace insert for a dresser and was told it would get installed upon delivery. Installation crew refused to install it saying they do not install the insert. Looking back if I had to do it over again I would stay away from Ashley furniture
We called and spoke with Wanda the office manager about an item online and she mentioned to us about the special sales and promotions in store so we came in and met Janice. What an amazing experience my husband and I had shopping for our sofa and loveseat. We ended up purchasing a dining room table and chairs too. We never felt rushed. Wanda and Janice were so patient with us. We even applied for their credit card with 12 month no interest thanks to Meesha. What a wonderful team they have here in Greenbrook. We will be sending our friends and family to Ashley Furniture. Thank you for contributing to our future memories with your amazing Furniture.
Wanda the sales manager is absolutely fantastic. I've been trying to get help from the location on warranty claims. I was getting the run around. This time I got the lady that knows all Ms Wanda. She's very warm and understanding and walked me through step by step on completing a claim.
Cant deliver. Make a promise of a week and half delivery with a latest delivery date then say they cant deliver for another week and theres nothing they can do about it. Extremely disappointed in their lack of customer service and appreciation!

The General store manager at this location has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in the retail industry. Unfortunately I had to call corporate an put a complaint against her. She does not know how to talk to customers and she has a huge problem when it comes to resolving issues.
I was disappointed with Ashley in Greenbrook New Jersey this week. I tired to order something over the phone because I am a disabled person unable to go to the store. They told me that there was nothing they could do and customer have go directly to the store to purchase products. This policy excludes the entire disabled community.
My son and daughter-in-law purchased a sofa and loveseat from this store, along with a five-year warranty. After a year of use, a cushion tore at the seam of its zipper, breaking the zipper, and two bulges were apparent at the rear of the couch from parts of the wood frame. My son, and then my wife inquired about the warranty, and it seems to cover anything other than what happens to your furniture. In fact, it specifically excludes "zippers" and "manufacturing defects" (among other things) from warranty coverage, although it does cover stains (on an already-scotch-guarded sofa). After my wife applied her seamstress skills to repair the cushion seam and sew a new zipper into it, I removed upholstery to expose the sofa innards. There was a critical piece of wood running horizontally near the bottom of the seat back that was too short to do its job, and it had slipped out of a pocket that was intended to hold it, thereby creating a new geometrical distribution of stresses along other parts never intended for such stress until one triangular section attached to it dislodged and another simply snapped one of the pieces of wood making it up. I was able to effect repairs at the cost of a day of my time. I reinforced the minimally-sound structure with plywood and further strengthened with screws questionable joinery where accessible that had not yet come apart. Features of this sofa: No screws visible other than those I added. No glue visible. Thousands of thin staples, many of which had missed their mark. Misshapen, unstapled, and apparently missing webbing intended to support the back. Wood installed that had not been cut to mate with the pieces it was joined to. Wood that was loosely joined, supported by staples and the air betweed joined pieces. A piece too short to be captured (no fasteners of any kind attached) in a recess. My conclusion: the single piece of wood that was too short compromised the rest of the support for the back of the sofa, leading to the breaking of one part and dislodging of another. This may have also contributed to the failure of the seat cushion as forces were unnaturally redistributed among all components of the sofa once the back was compromised. If you want inexpensive furniture built with minimal sturdiness and have the sewing, upholstery, and carpentry skills necessary to make it last into a second year of use, then Ashley furniture products may satisfy you. Their extended warranty and response of store personnel to the issues here, show, in my considered opinion, chiefly the ability of Ashley Furniture to extract addtional value from the customer, not supply added value to the customer.

I then removed hundreds of staples and metal strip fasteners, along with two rear feet, to open the back of the sofa, exposing the frame. I found a low, horizontal piece of the wooden frame had come out of a pocket it was designed to fit into -- the piece was cut too short to ensure it remained in the pocket, and no fasteners were used to hold it in place. This piece, no longer captured in its pocket, failed to properly support two triangular braces (laughably constructed by stapling together wood segments) that composed back support for the sofa. One triangular section had snapped (the one closest to where the aforementioned support came out of its pocket). The other section had pulled away from the staple that once fastened it to the wood framing the top of the seatback. The broken piece and the piece separated from the top part of the frame were the cause of the bulges at the rear of the sofa. I inserted the piece that had come out of its pocket back where it belonged and screwed some ¼&" plywood scraps to the pocket edges so it could not pull out again. I installed two screws into the other end of the piece to keep it from moving further into the pocket at its end, which allowed the other end to pull out in the first place. I made templates out of cardboard to match the triangular sections attached to the too-short piece, and cut four pieces of ¼&" plywood to match. Then, after forcing the broken piece back into its original shape, I screwed the plywood to both sides of that triangular section, creating a sort of box beam that held everything rigidly in place. I forced the section that had come undone from the top of the seatback frame into position, added plywood to both sides as I did with the other section, as its construction was clearly tenuous, and screwed it into place where it was originally joined to the topmost piece of horizontal wood at the seatback, adding a similar screw to the other section (which had not come undone from that piece) as insurance.There appears to be no glue nor any screws holding the frame together. There are plenty of very thin staples, a goodly number of which had missed their mark. I added screws where I had access and where it seemed they would strengthen the structure.Behind the seat cushions, exposed once I had the back of the sofa open, were eight pieces of webbing that supported the seatback. One was twisted into a narrow strip, and therefore pretty useless. One had been stapled into nothing, and offered no support at all. Several were installed at an angle so that seatback support was not uniform.I straightened the worst webbing and properly re-stapled every one, then carefully reinstalled the back fabric and dust cover at the bottom, as well as the rear feet.Conclusion: a single piece of wood that was too short compromised the rest of the support for the back of the sofa, leading to the breaking of one part and dislodging of another. This may have also contributed to the failure of the seat cushion as forces were unnaturally redistributed among components of the sofa once the back was compromised. If you want inexpensive furniture built with minimal sturdiness and have the sewing, upholstery, and carpentry skills necessary to make it last into a second year of use, then Ashley furniture products may satisfy you. Their &"extended&" warranty appears designed mostly to extract value from the unwary and transfer it to Ashley Furniture, offering the chief benefit to Ashley Furniture, not the customer. In fairness, I should note that their extended &"warranty&" does provide some limited coverage for stains (on a sofa already protected with scotch-guard).

I wanted to make a change to my order and initially I was told I would have to come back in to make the change to my order. Wanda helped me to streamline the entire process and made it a breeze and a delight. Thank you for your help, Wanda! This could have been such a headache for me during my move - a very stressful time - but you helped to make the process so simple!
My wife and I purchased a 5 piece sectional with an ottoman last night. Our salesperson, Janice was absolutely fantastic. It was closing time, yet she did not rush us and tried to work within our budget. The reason I am giving this location a poor review, started the moment the Manager, Manny or Matty (not sure which is his name),came into the equation. He made it evident he did not want us there, was slightly rude, but not rude enough to walk away. In the end, he told us that he would give us a deal on our item if we bought the protection plan bringing the total to roughly $3,800. Before leaving, he informed us he would give us a discount on a rug that we were interested in. We decided we would come back today to do so. At home, we decided to look online to see more about the color of our sectional and came to the realization that we were not given a deal, but instead it was just the price off the internet and we were pressured into buying the protection plan. When returning to the store to buy the rug, I brought up the tax and delivery issue to Janice. Originally, we were told tax and delivery were waived. She directed me to Manny or Matty. When I showed him the issue on the receipt, he said not to pay attention to that, that is just a breakdown and doesn't effect the price. I completely understood. I, in return, told him that we would be returning the protection plan. He was extremely rude and told me to go talk to someone at the register and dismissed me. As I walked away, he addressed me in front of other customers in a combative manner. He told me that he only gave me the deal because I have to keep the protection plan. I told him that is okay and showed him the price online for roughly $3,400. He told me he gave me a good deal. I asked him if he wants me to return it and just purchase it online. He left me alone. Janice approached us and told us we could no longer have a discount on a rug because Manny or Matty made a deal with us and we removed something from it. I explained to her that he did not give us a deal at all. He gave us the same deal that we could have gotten from Ashley online. I do not believe that a person that makes things personal, or is rude and dismissive to his customers is a good representation for your business. I believe some retraining is in order for this gentleman. The only reason I am giving this location two stars is because Janice was fantastic and the rest of the staff, excluding Manny or Matty, was very welcoming and pleasant. JUST A REMINDER, PRICES ARE CHEAPER ON THE WEBSITE, same company, same product, different prices… don’t be fooled by all those sales signs… Just an update to remind everyone, times are tough, don’t get robbed by these crooks... LOOK IN THE STORE, ORDER ONLINE, YOU WILL SAVE A LOT OF MONEY, I purchased a bedroom set and a sectional on Memorial Day weekend 2019, everything 50% off which came to a total of $6230.00 , 2 days later we went online looking for more things to buy and came across our bedroom set and sectional, everything online including delivery, Insurance and taxes came out to $5400.00, no sale, it was an everyday price, these crooks at the store played a good game on Memorial Day sale, I went back to the store to ask them about the price difference and try to match it and reimburse the difference and the guy’s answer : “ all prices are subject to change” typical shady salesman answer, he mentioned it a few times like he was use to telling people that, meaning they have done this before and knew the game... there was nothing they can do.. my advice, go to the store and look and buy it ONLINE if purchasing from them, their products are nice on the outside but cheap on the inside, well played Ashley .. you made a quick buck but lost a customer ..

Surprised by the quality of most of the furniture. However, the only reason to go to the store is to view the furniture in person. The sales people are not very helpful or attentive. Then go home and order online.

Do yourself a favor and don&'t order furniture from Ashley. I received a dented table. It takes weeks and weeks to get someone to come look at it and they know it has to be replaced. We are still waiting for a replacement. Customer Service is not good. Furniture is very cheap. Go somewhere else. Trust me.
My husband and I purchased a sectional and TV stand from Ashley Furniture in Greenbrook, NJ a few weeks ago. We worked with Tom Loomis and are so happy we did! Tom answered all of our questions and really spent the time to make sure we felt comfortable with what we were buying. Once we looked around the store a bit on our own to narrow down our options, Tom helped us find the best size furniture for our space and made recommendations such as fabric choice to help fit our lifestyle. We walked away feeling comfortable with making a large purchase and can't wait to receive our furniture!

Nice place, lots of variety. Little bit expensive, but they deliver.
Its going on 1 month and not only have I not received my furniture, the expected delivery date keeps moving and no one can tell me when it will arrive in their warehouse or how long it will take to get it to my house after it arrives. The office staff is extremely rude ave unhelpful. What they don't tell you is they buy this furniture from another company and the coordination is poorly organized and not traceable at all. When I ordered from Bobs Discount I got a delivery date on the day of purchase and it arrived at my house within the week. I will not buy from Ashley again.
I bought a couch the other week and when the builders put the couches together they didn't finish. I went to sit and the back piece popped straight off. I've been trying to schedule a appointment for them to come but they keep pushing back the date. Would not recommend if you want good service. Otherwise good selection of furniture.
Wasn't impressed. Prices were high and it seemed like i was looking at the same couch over and over again.
This has been the most disappointing service and experience, when my devliery arrived they left it sitting my driveway because they refused to wait 10mins for me to remove a door to my basement. After removing the door I had to carry the furniture down to my basement and assembled it myself. When speaking to customers service they stated they were sorry but could do nothing about it. Costumer service over charged my credit card three times the amount over the phone for a restocking fee.
Like the furniture, very disappointed with the delivery/installation service, and customer support. Purchased two love seats with automatic recline which was delivered on February 1, 2019. Love seat arm rest were installed incorrectly. Several things went wrong from there. Called customer service and was informed that my signature was forged for the approval of furniture delivery. It is clear from the pictures that the furniture was installed incorrectly. The representative sent two parts that were not needed. I was told to throw them away. Sent pictures, customer service,understands the issue, but a technician could not be dispatched for 2 weeks. One month later (3/5/19) a technician shows up without advanced notice when no one was home. As of 3/12/19, still trying to resolve what seems to be a simple issue of reinstalling the armrest on the correct love seat. (see pictures - Pic#1 is the recliner with correct armrest, pic#2 Left armrest is incorrect, pic#3 - incorrect parts, pic#4 - right armrest is incorrect).
It was an amazing experience, the associate was helpful, the managers were helpful too. I got the quality I like for the price I can afford, thanks to everybody
I find it hard to believe that customer service could be so terrible! Just yesterday afternoon (2/25/19), I called Ashley's Furniture to get a quote on service prices as I had planned to make a visit to the store later on that day to make a purchase. Low and behold, by my second question I was already receiving attitude. I called from my work phone, which I am assuming showed up on their caller ID. I too, work at a furniture store. I asked the co-worker for specifics on a service and in attempt to put me on hold, I assume to gather the information requested, I was able to still hear her entire side conversation which was about me and contained a few derogatory remarks regarding me and assumed reasoning behind my questioning. Regardless of why you think I am calling or where I am calling from, as a potential customer I should receive the same courtesy and respect as anyone else. Needless to say, Ashley's Furniture has definitely lost my business.
We had a great experience at Ashley in Greenbrook, Tom our salesman was fantastic. We had been looking for a king bed for our new home and found the perfect set at Ashley’s. I would highly recommend everyone stopping by this furniture store before deciding on your purchase. Can’t wait for my bedroom set and new mattress to arrive.
My daughter lives in NJ, and, BY TELEPHONE with Tom at the Greenbrook store, I ordered the sleeper sofa they want for their new house. WONDERFUL customer service over the phone, everything we wanted added to the order, delivery to take place in mid-March.
Our experience with buying furniture was fine, until it came time for delivery. We bought a recliner and a sofa. The delivery men attempted to bring the sofa into the room and were having trouble. After 30 minutes of trying to shove it through the doorway and causing significant damage to my hallway, they said they dont think it would fit and asked if I'd like to exchange or return it. I was told I could sign only for the recliner and someone from the store would be reaching out to me. No one ever did. We called 4 days later and were told the return hadn't been processed. We called back a week and a half later and spoke with the extremely rude and disrespectful store manager "Ofer", who had declined to give his name when we originally requested it. He refused to provide us a full refund, claiming the couch had to go on "clearance" because it was delivered..despite the fact that it was not and then proceeded to scream at my husband saying it was our "choice" to buy furniture from Ashley. When I attempted to get on the phone to explain the situation as I was the one home when this happened, he exploded screaming at how many people he was talking to him.I have never in my life dealt with such a rude, belligerent, disrespectful person and will certainly never purchase anything from Ashley again.
I have been to many Ashley stores and have purchased a lot of furniture over the years from Ashley Home Store. This is the first time I have been to an Ashley Home store and could not get a sales person to help. Normally there is someone upfront to greet you not here. The store was pretty empty and they were plenty of sales people around. They looked our way a lot but did not once ask if we needed help. I was ready to buy a bedroom set but left the store without speaking to a single sales person. UPDATE: So your idea of helping a customer who was ready to buy and spend thousands of dollars was to send them to a generic email address that is not even for the store in question? If that happen in my business I would have asked for a second chance to prove ourselves and I would have personally asked the person upset to come see me and I will make them my # 1 priority. But hey I guess that is just me.

Overpriced
Thank you Chris for making it happen and getting my son the perfect bedroom set… You really went out of your way to make my experience great. You know exactly what I was looking for and made sure I found it, and of course at a price that I can afford.
Great customer service
Bought king bed set in Jan 2019 and within 2 days, it went on sale for $300 cheeper. I called store, spoke to someone by the name Ashley and she refused to price match their own price, started giving various excuses and at the end got rude. Although furniture itself is nice but I would not buy from them again just because their service suck.... and also don’t buy extended warranty even for $1, its’s from 3rd party and they will give you run around when the time comes to fix anything trust me on that. next time I will pay more and get it from Macy’s that has much better customer service and stand behind what the sell....
Ordered 2 dressers on 11/4. Kept having to call store re delivery. Finally! Scheduled for 1/4 between noon and 4pm. Delivery never came. Driver said he was here, came in but I wasn’t home. #1 cant get in building without my letting him in #2 Bld Management at entrance to building - full glass office - said no deliver trucks showed up. #3 noon - 4 delivery window but driver was done for day at 2. # had to go to store to cancel order. Office Manager was sure to mention that I wasn’t the only one who spent time on the phone trying to get this resolved. I have to say - my daughter went to Ashley HomeStore in Paramus and had a fabulous experience. #gotoraymourandflanagan
These people are the worst of the worst. They lie just to get the sale then they do not stand by their products. I’ve been trying to get my mattress fixed for months now and now I’m told the bed is out of warranty. Definitely will NEVER spend another dime in any of their store and I will let everyone that I know not to shop at these kind of places .

Just wanted to share my experience At Ashley Furniture in Greenbrook,from TOM my salesperson to the other staff members that literally carried tables across the showroom for us to get a better view of the room completely intact.Anything the customer needed they would made happen,great customer service!!! NO pushy salespeople! they allowed you to walk around and taking in all the good sites.. CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY NEW LIVINGROOM!
