I recently shopped at the Ledgewood Ashley Furniture store. My experience from the moment I stepped into the store was a good one. Furniture shopping, for me, is a lot like car shopping. There's usually someone following you around, eager to make a sale. When I walked in, the Naomi, one of the sales associates introduced herself to me and began a discussion of what brought me in that day. I explained that I was looking for bedroom future but truly did not have an idea of what style I wanted. Naomi was very understanding, gave me time to browse the store on my own, checking in only ifnI had questions. I really appreciated that because I do not like shopping with someone following me around. Once I shopped the store and saw everything, Naomi helped me find something in a price point I wanted to stay at. She took the time to compare several designs I was interested in and was never impatient when I kept asking to review previous items that we had looked at several times already. I would recommend Ashley furniture in Ledgewood if you're looking for a pleasant shopping experience and a large selection of designs. Thank you Naomi for making something I was not looking forward to doing such a pleasant experience.

I used to love my furniture from Ashley furniture but the customer service I received has soured me on all of it. We purchased two sectionals, an ottoman and a recliner from this store in November. We received them right before Christmas and looked them over when we received them and did not notice anything out of the ordinary. In the rush of the holidays we found ourselves with no time to even sit on them and then we were away after the holidays. Finally everything settled down and we had time to enjoy the furniture. One night while actually lying on the couch we noticed a hole in the bottom of the top of the ottoman that was not able to be seen unless you were lying down. If you were at that angle you could see the threads coming down and then the hole. We thought "no problem we paid extra for the warranty" well friends do not be fooled. The warranty would cover this hole if my husband tried to stab me and missed stabbing the ottoman instead leaving a hole but because we just noticed the hole we will have to pay to not have a defective piece of furniture. Do not be fooled by nice salespeople this company will not stand behind their product. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP! Even bobs gave more lip service to customer service.

Purchased an adjustable bed at Ashley's. Customer service was excellent. My salesperson listened to my needs and allowed me to try as many beds as necessary. I had no intentions of making a purchase but the feel of the bed and the price convinced me that I had found the perfect match. So far, so good. All staff that I encountered that day (2 salespeople, the person who completed the credit application) were professional, efficient and there was no pressure. My last purchase with Ashley's was a dining room table and chairs and table which I currently sitting at typing this review.

Worst customer service ever!! Purchased $15k in bedroom furniture and 2 mattresses. Was told 90 day return policy if not happy as long as I upgrade. Started calling day 3 not happy and wanted to upgrade the one mattress. 3 months later no resolve. They sent someone out who put a level on the bed and said no defects. What??? You have to lay on it to see how it is pitched to the middle. ( Also it is now causing my daughter to have allergies, asthma like and stuffiness) Maybe because you delivered it balled up with duct tape it has a pitch that won't go away. Now they said this mattress doesn't qualify for 90 day upgrade options. No efforts to take care of an unhappy customer, just sorry you're stuck with it. I also had to chase after them to resolve as nobody on store level or corporate level ever followed up. Big box store has no level of customer satisfaction they just want the commission and the sale. Customer is meaningless to them. Have 4 more bedrooms to do and it will not be from that store! HORRIBLE

I rarely leave negative reviews (my Google review history reflects this) but the customer service at Ashley HomeStore in Ledgewood, NJ was so consistently terrible that I feel obligated to share my experience. In April, I ordered replacement cushions and casings for my Ashley sofa. Ten months later, I still have not received all of the items. Over this period, I contacted the store dozens of times for updates. I spoke with the same small group of employees each time, and although they repeatedly assured me that they would look into the issue and call me back, they seldom, if ever, followed through. At one point, I was told that all of my items had finally arrived, so I drove an hour round-trip to pick them up. When I returned home, I discovered that one cushion was the wrong size and several casings were missing. When I called to inform the store, the employee seemed more concerned about retrieving the incorrectly issued cushion, which apparently belonged to another customer, than addressing the ongoing issues with my order. She asked me to return it that same day, despite it being late and me preparing to leave for vacation the next morning. She ultimately requested that I meet her in a nearby grocery store parking lot to hand it back. Against my better judgment, I agreed. She ended up running over an hour late, which felt very inconsiderate of my time, knowing that I had other things I needed to do before leaving for vacation the next morning. There were numerous instances of unprofessionalism throughout this process, and I have extensive documentation, including call logs, text messages, and emails, all of which I am willing to share with either the Ledgewood location or Ashley’s corporate office. I have considered requesting a refund, but after investing so much time and effort into what should have been a simple order, I do not have confidence that the refund process would be any smoother. I hope Ashley HomeStore views this review as constructive feedback, and that it serves as a caution to future customers about the service they may encounter at this location. My experience was truly astonishing in the worst way.

The only moment for me where I felt they didnt go the extra mile was that in the beginning they offered a free gift of an expresso machine if I spent 2000.00 and other gifts if I spent 3000.00. Well after it was all said and done and my total was 2,255.00. When I asked so that means I'll be getting an expresso machine management's reply was well you were off by 55.00 because the actual price of the merchandise spent was 1945.00 the rest was delivery and tax charges. At that point I was very displeased and found that at that point dont start start putting stipulations on what you offered that if I spend 2000.00 I will get an expresso machine all the manager did was say well thats corporate not his . Overall the sales lady was awesome.

We went to Ashley today to look for furniture for our house. We worked with Javier, who was very helpful. We ended up buying a dining room table and he was able to work with us for flexible delivery pending our closing date.

If you see me never leaving my house again, blame the folks at the Ashley Store in Ledgewood. We went in looking for furniture and walked out with a new lifestyle. We bought two recliners and a loveseat, and honestly, the quality is fantastic—especially for the price. But the real miracle? The shopping experience itself. I usually dread furniture shopping because I expect salespeople to hover over me like helicopters. Not here. The staff was super nice, helpful when we needed them, and completely chill when we were just browsing. Zero pressure. If you want great value and furniture that makes it impossible to get up, go here. Ask for the comfy stuff! PS…. The staff found the best deal for us by checking coupons, in-store/online pricing for Black Friday. In-Store Black Friday was $100 less!

Stopped by in the summer to browse as my family was looking for a new sofa for our new home. Alma was super friendly. She gave us the space to browse while also still being there to answer any questions we had and wasn’t on top of us like some other sales reps at other stores we had gone to. We didn’t end up getting the sofa that same day as we needed to double check the measurements & Alma was super understanding (unlike reps at other stores who are usually pushy & have attitude if you don’t buy the item right there the same day). She kept the deal she offered us the next day we came back which we appreciated. We ended up getting not only the sofa but the whole living room setup. Great experience, will stop by in the future for anything else.

Don't trust what they say and don't bother with the insurance. Oh and customer service is a joke so good luck. There is a hole in the underside corner of my ottoman that someone could easliy just replace the top part of. But that would be expecting too much apparently and I should just deal with it.

I recently purchased a couch from Ashley Furniture in Ledgewood, New Jersey after shopping around at several stores. The sales representative was fantastic, and the buying process started off great — but everything after that turned into an absolute nightmare. What they failed to disclose was that the delivery option we selected — which was advertised as including full delivery and installation — did NOT include a $300 disassembly fee if the couch did not fit. This was especially frustrating because they deliver to our apartment complex all the time and reassured us that it would fit with no problem. We were never told about this extra charge during the sale. When we called to clarify, we were told that Ashley uses a third-party delivery service and that there was “nothing they could do,” even though their own team told us the opposite at purchase. Every employee we spoke with gave a different answer — one said the couch comes assembled, another said it doesn’t, and another didn’t even know there was a delivery fee at all (they thought it might be a scam!). When I finally went in to speak with management, they offered to “help” by covering half the cost. They gave me a wrong number for a supposed “delivery service,” then told me to come into the store to pay — only to call back an hour later saying that was incorrect information. After hours of phone calls, confusion, and being passed between untrained staff, I told them this would be my last call: either cover the full cost or issue a refund. An hour later, they called again to say the $300 charge would still apply. At that point, I requested a full refund. This entire experience was so much harder than it needed to be. The lack of communication, misinformation, and poor management was unbelievable. It’s clear that no one is properly trained or informed about their own policies and services. Final Verdict: Do not shop here unless you want to be scammed out of your time and money. The sales team may be friendly, but the service, communication, and follow-up are completely unacceptable.

The actual shopping experience was good - attentive helpful staff. We paid and set a shipping date, we were pleased to learn our delivery going to arrive the next week. The very same night after purchase, we were informed that our shipping date was pushed by two weeks. It remains to be seen if we will receive it on the new date, but it felt very bait and switchy that the shipping date was changed right after we paid.

I have never experienced such a disappointing and stressful process with a company, especially after spending over $8,200 on furniture. When I made my purchase, I provided my move-in date upfront and was assured that delivery on that date would not be an issue. Fast forward to now—just two days before the scheduled delivery—I was suddenly informed that the delivery would be the day before my requested date. To make matters worse, I then learned the delivery company doesn’t even deliver to my area on Saturdays, leaving me with no option. After hours on the phone trying to fix a mistake that was entirely theirs, I was forced to pay $1,000 out of pocket to change my lease sign-in date, because otherwise my kids would have been sleeping on the floor for nearly a week until the next available delivery. Adding insult to injury, the COI (Certificate of Insurance) I had specifically requested 48 hours in advance—something required by my complex—was never sent. After asking the delivery company directly, I was told the form (which I had already corrected three separate times with my sales rep, Naomi) was never even submitted to them. When I finally escalated the issue to a manager on site, I was told that I wouldn’t be compensated for the full out-of-pocket cost I incurred, but maybe given something. This is completely unacceptable. I lost $1,000 due to their mistake, along with an entire day of work that should have never been missed. This entire experience has been beyond frustrating. For the amount of money I spent, I expected professionalism, communication, and accountability—none of which were delivered. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing from this company to think twice.

Stay away from this business. I have purchased multiple items from this location, and while my issue is not with this specific location, as a company Ashley is not a trustworthy place. For reference, I purchased a table in 2023 that came with the 5 year protection plan. Unfortunately, my table was damaged but it was quickly approved for a replacement by the insurance company. That’s where the trouble began. I received exactly ONE call from Ashley about a delivery. In that call, they said I would be sent (emailed) a link to make a payment (you pay for delivery on insurance replacements), but that link never came. I did not notice for a couple of months, and by that point the “purchase order was closed due to non-responsiveness” despite never being emailed. At this point it’s almost been a year, and I’ve called so many times to check in and customer service couldn’t be less helpful. This week, I finally found out what happened - Ashley did not have my correct email address. They told me the address the emails were sent to and it was not mine. It was off by a letter. Note that this email was populated by Ashley. It was not something I registered myself. The sales rep wrote it sloppily on the invoice. I still have it. Do you know what Ashley customer service told me (in so many words) despite this information? To kick rocks. There’s nothing they can do. You’d thing they’d reach out, call, leave voicemails if there were issues, but nope. I called the insurance company and Ashley multiple times since this began and only this week did I receive answers after calling 3 times and asking to speak to an escalation team or supervisor. I even proactively called multiple times asking if they had my information correct! In January, I actually got them to correct my email! I have called so many times and it’s such a shame I am now being told what happened and there is nothing they are willing to do. So here I am, a customer, that did nothing wrong, forced to live with a damaged table that I paid insurance on and have an approved replacement claim. The number of times I even needed to call to get this information was also unacceptable. Ashley admitted to having my email wrong, but according to them it’s still my fault I didn’t reply. Good companies treat customers fairly. This is not a good company. I also called the store as a last resort and shocker, they never called back. Ironic.

I came to Ashley Furniture in Ledgewood NJ just to browse and left with exactly what I wanted and for an even better deal than I could have asked for. I walked into Erica and told her what I was thinking about, she hit the head on the nail. Great bubbly personality and she definitely made the experience stress free.

I want a refund and I will go take my business elsewhere. What a terrible experience especially when “escalation” department just kept talking over me.

The worst retail experience I have every had. The store doesn't stand behind there products. I have been dealing with the succasunna location for a year now. From the time of purchase to now. I have a defective sofa recliner the store will not do anything to make this purchase better. The frame is defective and now I am stuck with two sofa recliners $4000 later the extended warranty doesn't cover even though I paid an extra $500 for. The store is not interested in replacing thAshley's. Do yourself a favor Check out Bob's discount, Suburban Furniture and Raymour & Flanagan instead of Ashley's Furniture.

Last year, we purchased a 2k dining set with chairs and spent $200 on the 5 year protection, however the scratches on the table will not be cover due to the reason that it’s not reported within 30 days of the incident happened. Also, they only cover “one-time occurrence” damage. It’s a scam. Save your money and get furniture somewhere else. Highly disappointed.

Be VERY careful buying an expensive couch from this store. Ashley’s associate and manager hyped up the “protection plan” so much and convinced us to buy a more expensive couch ( we have 2 kids ). The associate claimed that they would come out whenever we needed to clean any stains. NOT TRUE!! The protection plan company will not approve my claims and they will NOT come clean the stains on my couch. The people from the protection plan company basically called me a liar saying that I didn’t have any stains on my couch when I clearly do in the pictures I sent. Also - they only spot clean. And they do not do “smell removal”of stains. Another lie we were told inside the store. An entire couch cleaning you have to pay out of pocket, something else that was NOT explained to us! I am extremely disappointed and angry that I was tricked into buying the more expensive couch!!! Then when I tried calling the store it takes you to a calling center and the girl would not put me through to the store, claiming that the manager and associate who sold me the couch were not in the office and I had to call back later. She would not take a message for me.

UPDATE: unfortunately Ashley wasn't able to deliver as quickly as needed, so we need to make other temporary arrangements (but keeping the order, as it's needed).. and also - buyer beware... we noticed afterwards that we were charged an additional fee ($169) for a warranty on our furniture.. this was never discussed during the purchase, and we never would have agreed to it... it can be refunded (and we intend to do so), but unfortunately, we have to travel back to the store to have it done.. just check sales receipts pretty carefully prior to leaving store so this doesn't happen to you!

Great experience with Alma ! 🙌🏻 She is a 10 on customer service and follow up . Very kind and knowledgeble. I have walked away from a purchase at the same location before due to sells person being pushy and unpleasant but Alma made it right and took care of my furniture needs .
