I was greeted when I entered and asked what I was looking for. I told the person he said go to the back and look I will come after. I was there almost 15 minutes waiting for assistance no one came. Customer service is not good enough. A customer needs assistance when they enter your store. Staff there talking and I'm there waiting for a help.

Mike P, the manager, thinks its okay to disrespect customers and new hires apparently. a female worker was helping me when this guy decided to come out of nowhere, interrupted us and judged her sale tactics infront of me. he than tried to give me a “deal” and when i didnt want his “deal” he gave me a nasty attitude. so i left and bought what i needed somewhere else. Manager to Manager, you do not know how to handle a customer, an employee and your store.
What ever you do don't buy in ashley and if you do don't waste your money on insurance because it does not cover nothing they tell you it covers everything when your purchasing but when you need to used the insurance it don't cover

My husband and I were in the market for a new couch and felt this was the best bang for our buck, or was it? Our salesman (Enrique) was the only reason we decided to buy from them because he was amazing. He was patient, sweet with my children, and just a pleasure to work with. However, the manager (Massoud) not so much. It seemed to be a bother to him that we had so many questions and concerns about the measurements. The salesman had gone over to Massoud multiple times with questions from us but Massoud only came over to check once about questions and then was arguing with our salesman (Enrique) not too far away. Our salesman apologized to us, however Massoud did not apologize for his behavior. The salesman (Enrique) also found out, once we decided to buy the couch from them, what I did for work and wanted to give my family a discount (I am a paraprofessional in a behaviorally disabled classroom). He was told no by the manager. We can't lower the price that much and refused. It was literally $100 off the couch, I was already paying $2100 for it. They did price match to a certain extent but $4000 for a couch @ Ashley that costs approx. $2000 at another chain, doesn't seem right.) I ended up calling to get an update on the couch a week later and was told 2/2 or 2/3 it should be available at the warehouse and ready to deliver after that and to call in a week. So I call today, and now it is not to be delivered until 2/24. How? How did we just jump 3 weeks? I was very unhappy and told them I would like to cancel my order. I went in to cancel, said hello to Massoud, who barely looked at me, and advised him I was here a few weeks ago but I would like to cancel my order. He grabbed the papers, cancelled it on his end and just says go to her for your refund (pointing to Tameya, the receptionist/customer service rep. who was extremely helpful and nice) and walks away. No what's wrong? How can I help? Why do you want to cancel? Nothing. His customer service skills are non existent. I am not looking for a red carpet but a simple how can I help goes a long way. My advice, if you are looking for anything, don't bother coming here and go elsewhere. It was more of a headache than needed to be. Good people skills are important and if you don't have them, maybe you shouldn't be in sales. Thank you once again to Enrique, you were a pleasure to work with and I wish you luck at your new job, hopefully they treat their employees and customers better than we were treated by Ashley's manager Massoud.
I came in today to finance a piece and furniture and Habiba ( Obehi) took care of us today. She was nice up to the point where we asked to finance. Her demeanor changed and told us finance was only $1,000 and up when in fact we were told $500 and up. Because she is a sales associate, already trying to get us to spend more money. Then she was going to have us apply for the credit card up to 1,500 without even telling us. We asked for a break down for taxes & delivery and she seemed baffled. She didn’t talk to us throughout the whole process and just called us over when we were ready to pay and left. Overall very unprofessional customer service because you should not get upset when someone wants to finance instead of paying in full because you’re a sales associate. Manager had a great attitude and very helpful. Ladies at the front did not have a great attitude either.
Do not under any circumstances spend your money here. The customer service is garbage. They took my deposit on a transaction and refused to return my deposit when they couldn't complete the transaction because they don't accept the finance company I was using (that's after telling me that I could use that company, they just need to update their system to include it).
Simply put, this store and franchise does not care for there customers nor there employees. Stay far away and go to Secaucus, Paramus, or Fairfield instead.

Couch took 6 over months to arrive. Fell apart in 2 and 1/2 years. Called to claim on my 5 year protection plan, but it doesn't cover the couch breaking from normal use? SCAM. Spend your money somewhere else.

I had a bad experience buying here. I got a sofa bed from this store. The delivery guys, put it together and damaged one of the legs of the sofa, they were rushing to leave and told us to report it so we can get fixed. I called plenty of times and also emailed and never got an answer, so I WON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE WITH SUCH A BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. ✌
I had a great time with Habiba, the Sales Representative who took care of me at the Linden store. The over all ambience of the store was very welcoming. I got a Drawer Chest and the protection plan and delivery were seamless. Over all pleased and satisfied. I will definitely be returning.

Hello!, first of all I'm giving this furniture company 1 🌟 because It doesn't let me give a zero , I'm going to start by saying that this is the worst experience ever with this company. I've purchased a king bedframe with mattress and box spring back in April 20th 2023 I was guaranteed that the delivery was going to take 2 wks for the whole set to arrived to my house. Happened to be that the delivery took a whole month to arrived.Not only that when I received the bed etc, The bed frame was stained all over the headboard and foot board, the mattress wasn't the one I tried in store or purchased. Then I called the store where I purchased the bed in linden new jersey, to let them know that they've sent the wrong mattress being that the mattress was on sale they couldn't replace it with the one I chose in store and bcus that delivery guys already had opened it. Then I had to called guest services to let them know as well my concerns about the bed being stained and the mattress not being the one that I bought in store they said they'll gonna let me know in 7-10 business days to call me back to arranged an appointment for someone to come and clean the bed frame. After 2 wks the person came with a bottle of upholstery cleaner and a rag smh. Now a 2 wks ago I called guest services again bcus the damn bed has a HORRIBLE SQUEAKY NOISE LIKE IF THE BED IS 20 YEARS OLD! 😠 I explained AGAIN MY CONCERNS THEY SAID IN 7-10 BUSINESS days were gonna contact me here we go again a wk and a half later I called to see the status because this noise it's really bothering me at nights and keeping me from sleeping. That there policy says that they have to give it a 7-10 business days in order for the "ticket" order to be reviewed by thesomebody in the office. 5 days later I received a call that the box spring cannot be replaced or fixed because it was purchased as a sale tag item. Meanwhile I'm still paying for the stupid bed 🛌 that has given me so manny troubles and have purchased protection plan for the whole entire stupid bed!!!!!. I will definitely bring this up to corporate.

I chose Ashley Furniture as a previous customer and at this store I was greeted by Gary. Gary and I immediately hit it off, trading stories and in general establishing a relationship. I purchased a couch which initially would not fit through my door therefore it had to be rejected. I returned to the original store of purchase and while I found a suitable replacement it was not what I wanted. I went Ashley Furniture website, found three potential replacements and found a replacement. I recommend working with Gary as your salesperson at Ashley Furniture.

Had a very bad experience shopping for furniture here yesterday. The staff member was not at all welcoming and had a bad attitude since we started talking, it was the old guy in blazer - not sure if he was having a bad day or was just grumpy in general. I requested to change the sales associate and started working with Anthony, he said let me check on my computer and get back to you. To my surprise he never got back to us, we were waiting on the floor for 20 mins, called other Ashley store in Green Brook and picked what we wanted from them! Avoid this location at all times if you want good customer service and shopping experience.
Extremely disappointed with the service at Linden location. DO NOT SHOP HERE. On 8/18/23 @1pm me and my wife went shopping for living room set, GG sales person was very polite and professional during this time, after 45 minutes of looking through the various sets we picked out the furniture we wanted. We asked GG to crunch the numbers with sale price, we also comfirmed with her that if we see same furniture cheaper that she would match the price from reputable site. As a long time Ashley furniture customer, we are fully aware of their price match policy. She confirmed and we took measurements and headed to the counter to make the purchase. During this time, I'm researching the furniture and found the same set online for a lower price, GG said okay and asked me to put the furniture set in the shopping cart so she could see final price. I did exactly that and during this time the so called manager, comes and says can you I see where the furniture is listed for less. I showed him and he asked to take a picture of my phone with price listed for same set $3,502. At this time, so called manager stated it might be an additional $20 compared to price I found listed online because their margins, I said no problem. So cled Manager says let me call management to have it approved, he returned 5 minutes later stating I can't match the price, we asked why not, he stated we only match our own Ashley online prices which makes no sense, I informed him my entire home is furnished with Ashley furniture and that we've used same reputable online site to match price for our bedroom set without any problems. He stated if it's cheaper online why are you here, which was very insulting. At this point I felt totaly disrespected, his is attitude was unprofessional, demeaning toward us and he was totally misrepresenting store policy, he was contradicting himself because he had just agreed to match now and now they don't match. I requested to speak to a supervisor and he said that no one was on the premises in a dismissive tone. GG appeared to be totally imbarrassed of his actions. We had just developed a rapport with sales person and so called manager destroyed that rapport within few minutes. I walked away feeling very shocked and disappointed about the service we received. No respect for our time, our money and he outright lied to our face. After driving 30 minutes to this location, and being disrearded as a long time costumer. I will never shop at this location again and I'm advising others to BEWARE. HE Literally shut GG sale down and lost a potential retuning costumer. We have an Ashley card which we've had for many years, we've made serveral purchases from Ashley over the years and never been treated this way. I'm alerting potential costumers and corporate of the terrible experience i had at the Linden location. His behavior was totally unacceptable. After leaving the store we both felt extremely insulted and discouraged from shopping at Ashley Furniture in the future .

I can't say enough great things about this place. Ashley stores in Linden, from the moment I walked in and was greeted by Lauren, until the time I walked out! I visited yesterday and left because I wanted to take some more measurements and walked back in today and found what I wanted. Lauren was friendly, approachable and gave me great advice to help create the look I was going for! I'll even add a photo of the chair that I purchased. She went out of her way to find help, Mark came over and together we hooked up the chair so I could see how it worked as a recliner. Mark demonstrated before I tried it out. Then Lauren tried it also! Its easy to shop in a place where everyone truly loves their job. This is why I have shopped Ashley Furniture in the past and will continue to do so. Thank you Lauren for all of your help! And thanks to Mark too for trying out the chair first for us. You have a great team there!

Service was ok but they are just saying what you want to hear to get the sale…wouldn’t trust them on sizing and finishes. They don’t have a return policy and tell you that you have until they install it to cancel but never tell you about the fee you gotta pay if you cancel. Couch is ok but the finishes and trims are so badly made. They stapled the material over the leg holes so we had to take it off and re-staple it. Cheaply made, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Extremely disappointed with this - DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU JUST WANT TO BE TOLD SOMETHING SO THEY CAN GET THE SALE. Service was okay getting the furniture. Everything since then has been an awful experience. We told our salesperson we needed the couch by this Friday, March 24th. We were assured by our salesperson AND the person checking us out it would be 100% there by then. I can see now they were pretty much just assuring us at this point to get the sale. I called 2/28 and was told they do not have a tracking order for it yet. I called again on 3/15 and was told it would NOW be at the warehouse on April 3rd, but could still come earlier. I called again today and was now told it would be at the warehouse on April 8th. Also, I was supposed to receive a phone call from then, but be aware you will never hear from them unless you reach out. I was told not to shop here and 100% will never again, take the reviews to heart and expect multiple delays on your delivery, even if promised otherwise.

Awful customer service. My husband ordered a Queen mattress and the salesman ordered the wrong size. We only realized the error when we tried to put the box spring on the bed. They refuse to take it back, even though the mattress is still wrapped. They admit to their error, but aren't doing anything to fix THIER mistake. They wont exchange it, and they wont give me a Queen mattress and take a hit for THEIR error.

Bought a $7500 bed from this store which took 2 months to get delivered. Tried cancelling beforehand due to the lengthy time it was taking and they told me the cancel fee was $1000… Once the delivery finally got here, the bed had broken pieces .. of course. I told the delivery crew I would take it as is since I waited so long. They insisted they wouldn’t assemble it and wanted to take it back and reschedule. Ended up building it myself…

The bedroom set was delivered damaged and I was told that I had to submit photos before anything could be done. I asked to speak with a manager at customer service and was treated rudely by the customer service representative. The manager refused to speak with me because I did not thing photos were necessary since the set was just delivered. I had to call American Express and Dispute the order due to damaged items. The damages also consist of the draws are stuck closed and photos are not possible. I no longer want the furniture and want Ashley to pickup the bedroom furniture. I have disputed payment with American Express and want this junk out of my house ASAP.

This store has theee worse customer service i believe. The service desk ladies are not attentive to their individual customer. They all add into each other customer business. The workers on the floor helping customers are not so knowledgeable of the furniture they sell. I think the warranty that they sell is a scam. Its not worth the money. I would never purchase any furniture from Ashley furniture 😫

I would to revise this. Lavar was great! but every other step in this process has been TERRIBLE. I literally have to chase after you for my furniture. I call and won’t get an answer for DAYS. The person told me a different date for delivery 4 times. Then I got my delivery and the sofa was sent to me damaged and broken. They sent it back and God knows how long it’s going to take now. I am also calling because the fireplace was delivered to me and they forgot to give me the remote that goes with it. I called corporate customer service they said to call linden. I try calling and surprise no answer.

So I went to the Ashley store in Linden NJ to look for a livingroom set i want, that I saw at another Ashley store but the other store had couple pieces out of stock. I walked in store to my surprise 3 yound lady was sitting 2 at the customer service desk and 1 close by all in their phones, no acknowledgment on any of them. I seach th3 whole entire store couldn't find what I wanted as I was about to exit the nicest young man approached me hello is their something I can assist you with, remind you this young man was not on the floor anywhere when i enter into the store,I was about to say no I'm leaving but just the way he approached me with concerned i had to answer I said what I'm looking for i don't see that you have it, he said let me help you I'm pretty sure I can find it for you. To my surprise he found the same exact livingroom set I was looking just from a small description I told him. His patience with me left an impact i went for that and end up ordering not only the livingroom set but 5 mattresses also. Mr.Hassan Abdur-Rahman that's what I called great customer service. He was persistent in making sure I was also comfortable with the prices, he was warm, friendly and welled mannered, the way he treated me I was looking to buy other things but I had to take a pause. If I could've give Mr.Hassan a 100 star instead of a 5 star trust me I would. Also I had a change to me the store manager a older woman very warm. In the end I had a chance to talk to the office manager Theresa to do my cash out what a rude person, cooperate need to teach her empathy, what's sad is that she's sitting right at customer service. I didn't care for her to finalize my order why cause as I was waiting for confirmation she was very harsh, remind you I didn't finance these items all was cash 100%. She had a very pig attitude, and is someone customers have to interact with not a good look Ashley, I was so close to canceling my order with her nasty, cold attitude. Will never purchase any thing from this store ever again!!!! Purchased a love seat recliner from them in July . They said it was on back order. No problem. They call about a week later to set up a delivery date of July 16 . On date of delivery the guys came to deliver but never bothered to take the sofa off the truck. They claimed it wouldn’t fit on the elevator without attempting to see if it would fit and sped off. Call the warehouse and was told they don’t deliver using stairs past the 3rd floor and they will reach out with a resolution. Did not hear from any one for over a week when we decided to go to the store. Was told that corporate would reach out to us by Monday 7/25 . Lies. On 8/9 they called to set up another attempt at delivery for 8/10. This time they show up as they are unwrapping it they notice a cut on the back of the sofa . At this point we were going to take delivery if they knocked off something from the purchase price but before we could agree to some thing the delivery guys loaded the sofa back on the truck and sped off again. Irate at this point but too late to go to the store and demand a refund because we were fed up . Friday 8/12 they call to set up yet another delivery for 8/17 because they have another sofa that is not damaged in stock. Guess what happened when they came to deliver …… it fit in the elevator and was finally delivered. Stay away from them. We didn’t listen to others when they warned us to stay away from Ashley.

Very bad experience. I bought a recliner sofa and love-seat from here. Once they sold it, their job is done. They don't care if there is any issue with the order or not. If you need good customer care experience, look else where. I have been follow up with Ashley customer care for a support issue for the last 3 weeks, but on one seems to respond. I would give negative reviews if I could.

The worst customer service stay away from buying from this store. Almost a year to get my full bedroom set and always a problem with it. First they told me it was because of supply chain issues when the furniture arrive it was broken. The front desk people with an attitude like they are the one’s paying for it. They get mad if we ask questions and not even apologize for the inconvenience. WORST COMPANY TO BUY FURNITURE
I purchased a couch set from you guys back in February. The first day I received the couch it had a tear it. I had the delivery guys document in it. The next day I noticed 3 other holes in my couch. It was a day old. I called this store where I purchased if from, which I was given a number to call because they do not handle repairs. They gave me another number to call, which they will proceed to give me another number! I found an email and sent pictures of the damage also. After a month of leaving messages and not being able to speak with someone, I was then emailed and told they will be sending out an inspector in February. Well, that never happened. I randomly received a couple packages of material. Fresh raw material... I am not sure what you guys expect me to do with that. It is literally just fabric pieces. I have then been leaving messages with the number that the store gave us to call. Which then again I am redirected or told I have the wrong number. I have never had a phone call returned yet. This is ridiculous. It has been months. It in now June and I am still having to go out of my way to contact customer service months later for this to be fixed. I do not recommend buying furniture here and spending money on a warranty if they are never going to call/email back with a solution.

My husband and I purchased a bed from the Linden, NJ Store on 3/19/2022. We were provided with the delivery date of 3/31/22. On the date of our expected delivery, we never received any communication from the delivery company until we contacted them to inquire about the delivery window of time. We were originally given a window of 2pm-6pm. We were later contacted and told the delivery truck broke down and would not be able to deliver the bed until 4/1. We contacted the Linden Store to assistance and were answered by a cackling customer service rep by the name of Crystal or Krystal. She was highly unprofessional. Ms. Crystal answered the phone laughing with others in the background as we inquired about the manager. Crystal was only able to provide the first name of the manager "Benny" who was conveniently "away." Therefore we were left with no assistance. As a loyal customer of Ashley's, having purchased multiple pieces of furniture from these stores I am truly disgusted and disappointed with the level of service. People are spending large sums of money to be disrespected and played with which is unacceptable. WE WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER ITEM FROM THIS BRAND OR STORE. Raymour Flanigan clearly is the way to go.
I tried, I really did but this location is horrible! The only good experience I received was with the sales person upon purchase, but following my purchase I've had the most difficult time EVER! I was initially given a random ridiculous delivery window of three months to get my furniture. I didn't like it, but it wasn't a huge deal. The sales person gave me their personal cell number and suggested that I call him directly in order to get an accurate delivery date. Outside of calling his personal line, each time that I called the store for assistance I received attitudes, once in the evening and once in the afternoon. Two different reps, both with terrible attitudes. The one that answered the phone at night picked up the line and sat it down on the desk while she cursed and had side conversations complaining about the customers. When I hung up and called back several times, she FINALLY answered and gave me attitude, then put me on hold. These people answer the phones clearly frustrated and are very short with you, as though you THE CUSTOMER are bothering THEM. What kind of customer service is this for a business where people are spending thousands of their hard earned dollars? I have $5000 in credit that I wont be returning to use!
I have been Ashley customer for seven years. On the black friday sale of 2021 Thanksgiving I placed an order for Dining Table at this store. It's been 3 months that we placed the order and there was still no timeline of getting it delivered any sooner. We went to this store on 25 Feb 2022 to cancel the order. The customer service rep processing our refund adjusted the refund with another item we picked that day, the charge breakdown included (item cost + tax + store pickup). Item cost and tax is self explanatory, but, it's beyond my comprehension that they charge me for picking up my own order (aka store pick-up). I was uncomfortable to pay that charge (store pick-up). The customer service rep then called the store manager 'Benny Fin'. Instead of explaining the "store pick-up" charge Benny started yelling at us and literally told us to get out of store and threatened to call 911. When I agreed to have this settled with 911 call, and, declined to step away without getting my refund he went screaming again at the top of his voice. This experience was very traumatic to my kids, who unfortunately accompanied me to store that day. At one point he stepped away and I heard him shouting 'This is my Country'. I guess one another store rep gave him some senses and they eventually processed the complete refund of dinning table and removed the 'store pick-up' charge. It didn't end here, when we were leaving Benny Fin told me he knows where I live (as if some kind of threat). Never in my life have I experienced such nasty, unprofessional and uncouth behavior. I wish there was an option to give zero stars, will never recommend anyone to this store.

What a crazy experience I had ..I came to this store Dec 19 2021 and purchased a dark gray sectional that cost 2000 dollars after waiting for about 2 months my delivery date was for beginning of February..I called last night and guess what my sofas are not available..the sales person at this store said to come in and pick w.e was available and honestly I wasn’t happy with any sectional that was available, last time I checked I’m the customer that decides what I like and what I don’t like … I’m not blaming any sales person that work in this store but I am I am blaming how the company itself operate these types of incidents ..not even a call or a email to let me know what was going on …if it wasn’t for me to call for a status I would of been waiting for my sectional to arrive ..what a disorganized store let me tell you .. never again I will purchase anything from this store ..my husband was so mad …I should of gone somewhere else if this was the case ..

I was just inside this location on Edgar Road in New Jersey, and just had the most horrible worst experience I've ever imagined. The worst customer service anyone could have ever had. Me and my family were treated very poorly, My husband and I were looking to purchase some new furniture. However the lady who helped us just walked away from the us and left us alone in the back and allow us to leave me and my husband and family to just walk out and no one even asked us if we were okay, did we see anything. Very unprofessional and disappointed.
Worst customer service with managers cussing in front of customers and no sort of respect for anyones time. The sales managers are also very dishonest and not educated about their own financing programs. Very very very disappointing experience don’t recommend to even my worst enemy.
Horrible experience from start. Bought in early September, cash. Sales rep said I “wasted his time” when I originally said I wasn’t getting the furniture. Eventually I bought from him because I needed it bad. Wouldn’t give me a straight delivery time. Management has an attitude. Every time I call in they keep pushing the delivery date. I understand the supply issues right now so no worries, but be upfront with it and communicate. I emailed Ashley Furniture Support team and no response to my email. I’m in sales myself, I understand it’s hard, I’ve been patient for too long. If I don’t get an answer soon I will be reporting to the BBB.

The sales people are very slick they jack up the prices and try to add high third party protection plans which they don’t even try helping you out with if anything wrong. Go somewhere else!!! I ordered my couch 3 months ago, and to this day I have no clear answer on when I’ll be getting it. Every time I call they have a new date for estimated delivery. Tried calling the store a few times this week, and the phone would ring for 3-4 minutes and no one will answer. Very unprofessional and unreliable.

Terrible customer service. My friend was lied to about her delivery date for her sofa. When it did not arrive on time, she had to call several times and ended up having to go to the store for a straight answer. She was then informed there was another 3 month delay. That’s very unacceptable but I understand that part is out of control. My complaint is about the nasty attitude from management and the lack of account management from the sales rep. When they were informed of the delay, that information should have been relayed to the customer. That is proper account management. A simple text or email would have sufficed. The store is not that busy to where these things could not have been done. It seems like there’s a lazy spirit amongst management that trickles down to the other employees. I had no problems at the store picking out my set other than they were under staffed and life after the pandemic I’m pretty used to waiting for some type of assistance. Finally once my future was delivered and damaged also the never put on the feet to the sectional they also only left one set I had to order the other set from customer service…. I’m still waiting for a call back to set up service so that my sectional is off the floor… I’ll be back with an update.

This is the worst experience I have had with a retailer, I ordered my furniture on 7/2/2021 and was instructed by the rep to call that following Monday or Tuesday to setup for delivery. I called only to be told I had to wait an additional 5 days before calling back and not to call back, they would call me, of course I called back 5 days later to be told all of my stuff would be in the warehouse by 7/22/21. Something about that didn't feel right so I called back a few days later only to be told that the items would be in by 7/27/21. I'm sick of getting the run around these people charged me over $200 in taxes up front which I found to be strange since I'm financing the purchase and I can't get a straight answer or a delivery date. I also called the customer service number today only to be told that they are unable to pull up my information because I purchased the furniture from a franchise store. I have called the store several times and no one picks up. I want my money back so that I can go somewhere else. I have no furniture and sleeping on an air mattress. We purchased living room furniture which was delivered broken and requested for the furniture to be replaced after they refused to fix it. We filed a complaint with BBB and the matter was not resolved. They still refuse to fix or replace the furniture. Extremely outraged and disappointed with this furniture company as they supposedly have a great reputation. Sadly, we cannot and will not recommend this company to anyone as their customer service was rude, unprofessional and transferred us to speak with numerous staff who were just as incompetent!

Worst customer service skills and coming from the own floor manager. Rather than actually helping he started arguing about me because saying that I am trying to fix my couch a year later after purchase. One that’s why we buy the 5 year warranty. Two it should not matter the time frame if I bought the warranty. I thought the sales representative had a nasty attitude but I see that if the manager who is suppose to set an example, has the same nasty attitude and no regards for the customer. First they sent us a wrong order and then helped to correct the mistake but then cancelled the order by themselves claiming I called and cancelled the order. I even called the customer service but the person on the call never got back to me after discussing the case with the manager. Spent about $5000 and this is what you get in customer service. Salesman: Hassan Abdur-Rahman, may be a nice person but messed my order pretty bad and I have sofas with no arm now.

Feb 15, 2021, I Worked with Hassan (sales rep) who said that the delivery will take 4-6 weeks and to call back within 3 days to get the delivery date. Feb15, I placed an order for a dining set and a sofa set which was pretty expensive purchase. It took 2-3 months for the dining table to arrive. It’s been 6 months (June), I was still waiting for my order. I understand there is a pandemic going on, but the sales rep did not mention anything about this product being on back order or anything. They only see your money and their commission. The worst is that when you call this store, no one ever picks up and when they do pickup, they will lie! I had to visit this store 3 or 4 times to get my updates and it was always a new date (1 month delay). They don’t even bother to call you to let you know that there has been a change in the date. 6 months later, I finally decided to canceled my order and take my business to raymour and flanigan. I got my new sofa set in 3 days. AVOID this store.. full of scamming sales reps and manger is useless and rude! This is one of the worst furniture stores that i have ever visited. I have been trying to reach out to them by the phone for 3 days now. No one picks up the call. And if they do pick up the call they say that the date for you furniture get moved to another day. These guys need to get the rude and unprofessional staff and being in people that have a knowledge about customer service. These guys are the worst do not buy furniture from them. Unless you are looking for a house and expect your furniture in 5 months.
Bought a sofa from here and it got messed up within a couple of weeks (do not any pets), but they said they cannot do anything even though we bought a warranty. Bad quality, do not get fooled by their low prices. The "leather" couches are trash, just take your money to a different store.

This location does not even deserve a one star. Upon entering the store, the store associates jump right on you and don’t even give you time to breath and look around. When telling them to give you time, they keep putting pressuring on you. I bought a dining set and a couch in Jan 2021 and was told max time for delivery would be 4-6 weeks. It’s currently May and still no sign of the delivery. When I called them up today, I was told it’s been pushed by 1 month. This has been happening since I ordered. They do not call you to tell you if there’s been change in delivery.

I wouldn't recommend this furniture store. We spent a few hours looking around and working with an associate. We opted for a dining set, coffee and end tables and a bedroom set. We were given a total cost and applied for a store credit card. As they were finalizing the paperwork the sales manager approached us and said they cant honor the price that the sales associate had given us. Classic bait and switch. Had we not already applied for the card I wouldn't have been AS mad. It would have just been the aggravation of the time wasted, but now we have a credit card that we would have rather opened at a store that actually honored their word! Luckily we found all the items elsewhere for a better price, but still mad about the hit to our credit score for NO REASON!

I bought furniture five years ago with the warranty, at that time the store manager told me if you don't use warranty they will give money back as a store credit. I went there few months ago, selected furniture to pick up but every time i called they told me we have to apply credit. this been going on from months. I told them i am moving and i need furniture with me. no response. When i called they give me attitude like i am no body. I bought $2500 worth furniture from them and they are treating me like this. please give your business somewhere else who really cares. These people do not deserve your hard earned money.

Absolute worst place to buy furniture, been waiting over 3 months, was told 8 weeks maximum, these guys will play games with you, not pick up your call, say to leave your number and not call back; promise you the price you may save shopping here will not justify the horrible customer service you’ll go through. Even after your furniture hits their warehouse, somehow they still delay it, been waiting for the warehouse to scan our furniture since it arrived days ago; if I ever hear back, then they will schedule your delivery which is another 2 weeks. My 81yr old Aunt purchased a Mattress. Sales Rep, Brian Norton said the delivery will be approx 2 weeks. It was almost 3. He also said they will REMOVE THE OLD MATTRESS. On the day of Delivery the Delivery Guys said they do not remove items from the house it is on the contract. How is she going to get the mattress out. If Covid was an issue there should be no deliveries. He seemed like a nice guy. He should have known that removing old furniture was not apart of the contract He sold us. I will never do business or refer anyone to them. I'll go next door. They have the same stuff.

I placed an order for a bedroom set in September 2020, it’s now April 2021 and bedroom has yet to be delivered nor receive a status of my order. Each time I call the store the phone rings and hard to reach someone. When I am finally able to reach someone I am told the delivery has been pushed for another month. Been stringed around for months and no accountability. All I been asking is a reasonable estimate on when the delivery will be made before I decide on whether or not to cancel the order entirely. Good luck reaching someone to pick up the phone, and when you finally do the ladies that answers the phones are rude and lack customer service/professionalism. I have been a Ashley’s Furniture customer for awhile but really am reconsidering give them my business moving forward. Not a way to treat your paying customers.

WORST STORE !! STAY AWAY !! For the following reasons (from personal experience) - 1. LYING SALESPERSONS - they will lie about delivery timelines to get you to buy. They say 4-6 weeks, but once you PAID them, they wont deliver 16 weeks into it. 2. . FRAUDULENT CHARGING - they will charge a good amount of protection fees without informing/checking with you first. 3. INCORRECT DELIVERY ESTIMATES - They will keep changing the delivery dates without informing you and will NEVER DELIVER YOUR ITEMS. 3. RUDE RECEPTIONIST - When you call asking for your order, they are extremely RUDE on THE PHONE AND IN PERSON . 4. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - Most UNFRIENDLY, UNPROFESSIONAL people. They hide behind PANDEMIC as a reason for not delivering your furniture. if you'll notice, they have only replied to the very positive comments, but NEVER BOTHERED TO ADDRESS the people who were DISAPPOINTED in their service. OVERALL - Once you PAID them, you've basically LOST YOUR MONEY and you will NOT GET YOUR FURNITURE WHATSOEVER ! P.S.- I have bought furniture during and before pandemic from other stores, never faced so many issues.

I ordered a dining set on December 19th. I was told it will take 12 weeks to reach the warehouse. That’s a bit long but it’s a pandemic so fine I’ll wait. March 16th came (that’s the date it was suppose to be in the warehouse). I called on the 17th and was told it will be there on the 28th. I go to the store be used no one has answered the phone on two day and was told it will be in the warehouse in MAY!!! They tried to sell me another table but they could find the chairs to match the table 🤦🏽♀️ It want what I wanted not even close to the color. Needless to say, I left with no satisfaction. Just a promise that an email will be sent to see if it will be in sooner. I found the same table at Raymour and Flanigan!!! Ashley Home-store has fallen way off. Beautiful furniture if you can get it home.

Service is absolutely horrible. My grandmother ordered a couch for her apartment. The delivery person was disgraceful and had the nastiest attitude. He called my mom and yelled at her on the phone because the couch wouldn’t fit in the elevator. My grandmother went down to the lobby to talk to him and he yelled at her and screamed in her face. He yelled at a 70 year old women and made her feel completely disrespected. This is not ok and I am in complete shock by his behavior. This store clearly doesn’t care who they hire because they are hiring disrespectful men who think it is ok to scream in an elders face.

My wife and I went to that particular store as we were driving home, figured Ashley furniture was a reputable company when it comes to their products, but not knowing what kind of people the company hire to represent their brand. I was a store manager for nearly a decade and never have I treated customers or handled the situation the way that manager (Gazi) handled it. He was VERY ARROGANT on the phone and useless the say the least when asking to help doing the right thing. On Sunday February 14, 2021, my found a living room set (last one available throughout because it is discontinued as I was told my the salesperson and the store manager (Gazi). Only option I had was to purchase and have either someone which they recommended to deliver it to me or take it home myself. So, I agreed to pay the person they recommended to deliver the package on Tuesday February 16th, 2021. On Monday February 15th, the manager left a message stating, the furniture were paid for was previously sold to someone else. What options do I have now? I will have to go to another store to look at the same furniture on the floor as display, but that store doesn’t have all the pieces. When I tried to reach the manager and after making multiple attempts, he said that I will have to drive back to New Jersey (burn my gas and pay a toll) in order to get my refund, AFTER THEY MADE THE MISTAKE. When I disagree to do so, he said “You have only 2 options, either come back to the store for a refund (pay the toll and burn the gas) or call my credit card company to file a dispute for the charges”. As I tried to plead with him the options he gave me were not good choices and not good customer service, is attitude was oh well, that’s the only options I have have. My take on the this, the minute that he found out that living room set was already sold, he should have stopped the transaction and not letting go through or look around for the same living from his store to avoid the inconvenience of me having to call my credit card company to file a claim. PLEASE, do yourself a favor, stay away from Ashley stores as a company, specially that store in Linden, NJ. Gazi is the worst store manager I have ever dealt with and should not be at the position he is in right now or to be the face of Ashley Furniture. The experience was so bad and his attitude (arrogant) was so unprofessional, I canceled my order for a different furniture that I purchased at a different Ashley Furniture location. Went in today because it was “60% off all furniture.” My mom went to her Ashley Furniture (Fairfield, NJ- DID NOT HAVE 60% OFF SALE) so we could look at the same furniture on FaceTime. We quickly realized that the Linden store raised their prices TREMENDOUSLY just to “discount” them for President’s Day. I feel so bad for the people in there buying furniture thinking they’re getting a deal. Apparently each Ashley is independently owned so they can do whatever shady sales they want in order to screw you. The worst place I have ever bought something from. I bought some of my furnitures from Ashley last year about $ 8,000 and I almost paid all the amount. First they sent us a damaged sofa with a broken mattress, I didn’t accept and asked them to return and change it. Then after a few weeks I found out one of my drawers is damaged and they didn’t publish the wood after coloring and it’s color coming up after we put something on it. I called them and no one considered. It’s not even one year now and all the pieces we bought are broken for example the coffee table wood is cutting from center, the chairs fabric are scrap and ... their costumer service is awful and they don’t care about our time or money. I called them hundreds of times but they just wrote something and keep telling me we will take care but didn’t till now!
THE WORST PLACE TO ORDER FURNITURE FROM. If I could give no stars i would. I’ve been waiting for my bed frame since October. At first they said it would only take 4-8 weeks NOT 14 weeks. Every time I called no one ever answered the phone. And when I finally was able to speak to someone they were very rude. Now I come to find out that I will not be getting my bed frame until the end of January. This is ridiculous and I will not be ordering from here again or recommend anyone for that matter.
ANSWER YOUR PHONES!!!!!!!!! MAKE GOOD ON PROMISES !!!!!!!! The manager GAZI does everything he can to lie to you about delivery dates and then they dont answer phone calls so you can't even get updates. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I wish I could rate this place higher. I ordered a couch in AUGUST of 2020 with a move in date of NOVEMBER 2020. They stated that my couch should be delivered by 11/15/2020, I moved in 11/11/2020. Seemed reasonable. Here we are about 4 months after the purchase date and I have yet to receive my couch. They do NOT call with updates, and will only tell you if you call them and somehow reach them. My couch was "supposed to" be delivered from the warehouse today... now they say it's going to be delivered to the warehouse on December 21. How is this possible. I am so upset, especially because the couch was not cheap. Im thinking about if I will ever see that couch before the year ends...

Not a bad experience, prices were good, and they work with you, I purchased a couch set, and so far 8 months later, I still love them—— UPDATE 10/20/20. 😁😬 , it probably been around 3 years since I purchased my couches from Ashley Furniture, they are still perfectly comfortable, still look great, love them still, I have to be honest, we don’t used them a lot, because we have a sun porch and we use that room more, spring / Summer/ early fall, but once it starts getting cold we use our living room a lot, and this couch every day, because we fire 🔥 up the fire 🔥 place and seat on these couches a everyday, still very happy with them. I keep them covered, only because my dog sheds like crazy. But he looks perfectly comfortable 😁😆

I am giving 2 stars for customer service. Since this store never, ever answers their phone we had to physically go to the store to find out when our delivery will be because we never received a call to schedule a delivery date like the sales person explained to us when we initially purchased our furniture 3 weeks ago. Although, Briana was patient and answered all our questions face to face it would've been easier to make this exchange on the phone. FYI we were calling the store number as we were in the store and there were NO phones ringing. We were told that they are on silent because it gets very busy even though at the moment there were no other customers in view. Aside from the nice lady helping us there were two other associates behind the desk not picking up the phone and when we said we were calling they seem to scramble or look around. We did see a blinking light on the phone console. So that just told me, they will never pick up the phone. I'm glad I was given a direct email address and that is why I added the extra star. I appreciated that, just disappointing that it had to be after waiting 3 weeks and having to physically go to the store. I only hope when we finally receive our furniture I can post a better review. I understand that there are a lot of delays due to the pandemic but customer service is a vital part of keeping your customers and keeping us happy. Hire more help to just pick up your phones. It is a big business, there should be no reason to not have even an automated answering service on the other end to at least give some peace of mind to your customers. Sometimes all we want to know is a status. It shouldn't be that difficult.
The place is nice it really has lots of good furniture but its really expensive. , however the service is excellent my sales rep Brian a was excellent knowledgeable and very helpful I just wish he would work at a cheaper store but if happen to stop by see him highly recommended
This is the worse place to go ever! Came to the store, walked For 20 minutes to look for a bed and time passes and NOT one came to me to ask a word. Upset came to the the door and asked if they were anyone working there cause I saw three ladies talking and laughing loud and pay not attention to customers as they walk in. I purchased a living room set on 8/11/2020 with a delivery date of 9/21/2020, I called the store 9/15/2020 to find out about the delivery, only to find out the delivery date has been delayed to another month of 10/27/2020. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!!

I'm not trying to be mean or insensitive. I do understand the COVID situation whole heartedly. With that being the case, I'm sure many people would love a job during this time. Worst experience ever !! I came in 15 minutes before closed, so as soon as I got in the store not not even a greeting just the guy said we are closed with a bad attitude. From the moment I walked in, my boyfriend and I were greeted and felt welcomed. The manager Steve was phenomenal. After greeting us, he left us to look around and we knew where we could find him if we had questions. We went in honestly just to look but with the price match up he helped us with- we left happily with our dining set and bedroom purchased. I am beyond happy with the customer service and I highly recommend!

Ordered a dresser about two months ago now, keep getting different arrival dates...also want to mention they wanted nearly another $300 for shipping so we said we’d rent a truck and pick it up ourselves. First I was told by someone who I FINALLY got on the phone deliveries from their warehouse were every other Tuesday. Waited another two weeks to be told by a manager I believe that I was told wrong information it’s every other Wednesday, it’s been another two weeks. I’ve tried calling 4 times already this week the line EVERY TIME I call regardless of what time things and rings infinitely can’t even get somebody to answer a phone and I’m a heart transplant patient that can not be in the stores right now to be able to go in there and talk to someone in person. My step father who made the purchase IN FULL two months ago works 7 days a week and lives and hour away. It’d be nice for them to just send me an equivalent piece that they currently have on their floor so I can be done with this already. I moved into my place June 1st and have had all my clothes in bins. I’d also like to mention my step father had an Ashley credit card and bought 2 living room sets from them within the last two years and was told he couldn’t put the dresser purchase on their credit card because it wasn’t a minimum of 600 (it was 500 and change). HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE PRICING, IMPOSSIBLE WAIT TIMES. Shame on these people.

Today I had the great experience to partner with Ashley Home Store in linden n.j once again. The Manager Steve, and Sales Associate has been nothing short of professional with patience of a saint. I know that I'm not the easiest shopper with a very specific desire within my budget. Nonetheless this team has meet my expectations as this location has over the last twenty years. I must also add the district manager Scott has always been of great assistance as well.
10 months after I dropped an item on my order, my statement for the financed payment is still based on the initial total even after I called and went to the store to complain. I just called and the manager sounded soo rude and in complete disregard of my plight. Coming from a customer that spent nearly $10,000 in one day! Please go through your statement s and match them with your total balance to see if they add up, it seems the zero interest finance isn’t free after all. Stay away from this store!

Sales dude did not have any knowledge of the furniture they're selling and he wouldn't get off his cell phone. In July the so called sale is jacking up the price 1-3 thousand more then offering you 60% off and still paying more then the regular price.

I was in dire need of a couch since I am closing on a new place in the middle of this Covid-19 pandemic and have no furniture. I was getting nervous because no stores have been open for the past two months... but as luck would have it, I stumbled upon this store that is both an Ashley retailer AND an outlet, and it happened to be open! I was welcomed right away and helped by the district manager, Brian. He couldn’t have been more helpful, professional or courteous! We wound up taking advantage of the Memorial Day sales and were able to buy a couch AND an ottoman! We opened an Ashley credit card just in case we saw anything else in the future, since we are in need of a lot more furniture. We were even able to receive no interest for 18 months! Brianna, the young lady at the customer service desk, was super friendly and professional as well and we were able to get everything done very quickly (including setting up our free & fast home delivery!). I was super impressed with Ashley’s selection, prices, quality and most of all, the amazing employees they have working there. I will definitely be back and recommend ALL of my friends and family who are in the market for furniture.

Steve is the absolute best store manager you could possibly meet. He goes above and beyond finding ways to meet your budget and style. My girlfriend and I have visited Steve’s store 3 times in the process of buying bedroom sets. He not only taught us all about the process of buying beds but also advised us on returning for our second time when his outlet collection was going to grow. He was honest throughout the entire process and never took all the credit by introducing us to Brian and Marcos. When we returned for the 3rd time in desperate need of a full size mattress and a queen sized box spring he didn’t take It to heart when we told him we had purchased a queen sized mattress from somewhere else. He gave us the best deal for a queen sized box spring, full size mattress, and a full size box spring. The salesman himself, Marcos, couldn’t believe for how cheap he was selling the queen sized box spring. If It weren’t for my family friends discount in the other mattress store, I would have comfortably bought our queen sized mattress from Steve’s store. We are returning soon to buy a sectional sofa and all our other furniture! I highly recommend buying all your furniture from Steve’s store.

My wife dropped her wallet Feb 15 2020 at this location when looking around for a new couch. We came back and left our information and looked around and could not find it. Just had the best furniture experience of my life . I went to the Linden store today and the staff amazed me from the Salesperson Lauren , the manager Meddy and The young lady in the office Eddy . Me and my husband are closing on our house at the end of the month and didn’t want to open a new account yet since they have great financing options But , Lauren and the sale manager were able to give us some other options and a great deal . My experience with Ashley has been a complete nightmare. The sectional couch I purchased was delivered backwards. I have been calling the store/customer service every day for over a week to try and get the invoice fixed so we can move on to scheduling the re-delivery and I keep getting told I'll get a call back that day and never do. The manager at the store refused to speak to me and the manager at customer service did not call back as promised. I still have gotten nowhere and I am beyond frustrated. I will NEVER order from Ashley again.

I always shop from Ashley furniture on Route 46 in Fairfield, MISTAKENLY deciding to try this location in Linden. Sales rep rushed me from the moment I walked in the store, 2 weeks before Christmas & the store was not crowded. Showed him the exact furniture I wanted on the kiosk in the store, I guess MY ERROR for thinking that's what he wrote & I initiated all the peices. So furniture delivered, wrong headboard since my delivery was on Xmas eve (Life was hectic) call the store after Christmas ME thinking easy fix.. NOPE Called the store girl told me well you did initial the peices NEVER AGAIN😡😡

Delivery was set between 3pm and 7 pm. No one showed up. Tried calling the store since 5pm and there was no answer. At 8:57 pm I got a call from a lady who sounded half sleep and slurring her words telling me the truck broke down and the delivery will be tomorrow. She will call me to let me know the time. Next day came. Contacted store and I was told I needed to call customer service. I called customer service at 3:45pm. I was told I was delivery #6 and right now they are on delivery #2. How can they be on #2 at almost 4pm? This is the first and last time doing business with Ashley Furniture. I have a living room set and a bedroom set to buy in the next few months and I’ll be going some other place.
I would NOT recommend anyone to purchase from Ashley! I have had a horrible experience and will absolutely NEVER purchase anything from them again!!!!!!!!!!! My entire order came in incorrectly. Had to wait for the correct parts to come in. I was so upset that I wanted to cancel the entire order but couldn’t because the head person that was I instructed to call never called me back. To add I am still waiting on a sofa that was ordered over two months ago. Never again!
To say my experience was frustrating would be polite. The sales rep was so in a hurry to pen down items without giving me chance to think. He would barely discuss cost and price differences and was visibly frustrated when I asked. It took almost two months to have my furniture delivered. I spoke to two so called managers and they gave me conflicting excuses, they both gave me estimated delivery times that never worked. No one cared to call to schedule delivery, I literally called everyday to get that done. Two months later, furniture got delivered but rug was not. I’ve been calling to ask why but told I’d be called back, no one does. Today I called and asked to speak with the manager and this lady had the guts to tell me I can’t speak with the manager because the floor is busy. Apparently, they care less about my ordeal and more interested in exploiting more customers. You’re better off taking your miserable furniture back because I shall give you a hard time too. And I mean every word I say.

Great store, lots of selection, our salesman Barry was great!! Only thing I am upset about is a day after my purchase I saw on an ad there was free delivery and I did not get it. When I called, the person who answered the phone( said she was the manager ) said I had to spend a certain amount but the ad didnt say that. She said there was nothing she could do.
DONT ever purchase there extended warranty! I spent over $4,000 at this location and in less then 2 years my love seat that was supposed to be real leather started pealing all over and when I called the warranty they tell me I wasn’t covered. But at the store when your buying from them there’ll tell you that your 100% covered. Called the store several times to try and resolve this issue but to no avail. I recommend you go to Bobs stores instead! My experience with the Linden store was awesome. From the time I came in the store I felt welcomed. I had a problem with my furniture and with the help of Ed and Briana they were great in solving the problem. They stayed on top of things from start to finish and I am amazed at their diligent work and efforts with this. Store associates will work with you on pricing but Worst Delivery commitment and Worst customer support experience. Store associates on Phone are even don't want to listen to your queries. I ordered and received some Ashley furniture from next door store within promised delivery date within a week.

This place is a RIP-off. They are WAY over priced. Their prices in store don't match at all the prices online, not even at 50% off. STAY AWAY. Just don't waste your time and go somewhere else!
Barry Dixon - Walked in with a friend close to closing time in search of a specific piece of furniture. Barry greeted us and pointed us in the right direction. He worked patiently with me as I reviewed multiple pieces and made a final decision. He was very patient as I changed my mind and asked for more information. In the end, Barry helped take my pieces to my car and ensured I was a happy customer. Love the new pieces!

My salesman Albert was great! He was very informative and not pushy. He listen to me when I told him what I was looking for in a dining room set. He showed me the set I purchased! He knows and does his job well.
The sales associate DINA was amazing! She went above and beyond during the grand opening (even though it was crowded) and she had multiple customers at once. She checked in on me and made sure all questions were met and I purchased everything I needed. The downside is the Delivery! I couldn't schedule a date for delivery. They stated all the items I ordered (approximately 3k) were on backorder and the closest date is Oct 26th!! I made the purchase 9/14! Customer service is working to get me my items more quickly. However, if I dont hear something today I will be canceling my order and shopping elsewhere.

I and my children had the most wonderful experience shopping at this home store today. My sales associate Albert was awesome!!!!! He spent 2 LONGGG HOURS with me as I changed my furniture choices 4 times. And yes the store is child friendly. This is a horribly mismanaged store, they are both dishonest and unprofessional, my experience is that they may even be fraudulent. They failed to deliver my purchase correctly twice, and will not refund my money. (I am not even in possession of the furniture in question) Have never had such a bad experience, and strongly recommend you do not shop here.
Although we didn't make a purchase today, Barry Dixon could not have made our visit more pleasant. He was knowledgable and friendly, and made sure that we were well attended to. We will certainly be back to this store in the future.
My review is based on the experience I had couple of months ago, didn't have time to write the review... sorry Debbie you were awesome and deserved the feedback. Debbie was AMAZING, she was very helpful and friendly. I came into the store with my sister just looking for an adjustable base, not planning to buy anything, I was just LOOKING to see how much it would cost. We met Debbie and she was very straightforward, made us feel at ease, not rushing or pushing to buy anything. She listened to my sleeping complains, my major issue was, I used to have very very bad sleeping patterns, I would rarely sleep the whole night. Due to my sleeping situation the past few years I've been having bad back pain, every single day I would wake up with pain and feeling super sleepy and tired. Also for 2 years I was just waisting money in buying mattresses. I bought 2 mattress in the past 2 years and I had exchange 1, twice because it was sinking in the middle. Anyway short story long.. Debbie showed us a couple of adjustable bases as well as mattresses (which I wasn't looking for), we spent a couple of hours in the store very relax just trying out the bases and mattresses. Debbie treated us so kindly without pressuring that I ended up buying the adjustable base AND a Tempurpedic mattress. I DON'T REGRET SPENDING MY TIME OR MY MONEY at this location. For the past 4 months I've had the best sleep I've had in years. I have no longer back pain, my sleeping patterns have gotten so much better. I'm so glad I came in and met Debbie because she gave me back my sleep. Thank you so much Debbie, you're the best and if I have to purchase any more furnitures I will definitely contact you and no one else. I must mention Debbie introduce me and my sister with the floor's manager, (I'm sorry I don't remember his name) I think his last name was Cruz, he was great also, very friendly and knowledgeable of the products.

The furniture was Great
called to get information on a dining set. the associate was SO rude and incompetent that we decided to purchase elsewhere. there are too many options for big box furniture to have to deal with such awful people.
Service: they stalk you like prey from the time you walk in. They don't let you get more than 10 yards from a sales person like you may shoplift a couch without them noticing. Impossible to feel comfortable while browsing their options. Prices: "Sales" aren't sales as they just have ridiculous prices that they lower to reasonable ones. Not horrible prices after the "sale" is applied. But not great either.
Brian was so helpful. I came in and then went back and purchased a living room and dining room set. He was patient and so willing to help me come to the right decision. I actually came back and purchased an entertainment center. Both Theresa and Julie the customer service reps were so great! They made sure I don’t have to pay double delivery. We went into this location looking for a sofa and love seat we saw online and we were immediately approached by Debbie as we entered the building. She was so kind and helpful with all of our questions and processing us through the financing. Theresa helped us with payment and was very professional as well. We are very happy with our visit and will be returning to work with Debbie!

Beware of this store they are scammers and I believe the entire staff is in on it ....they order you a wrong item and when it arrives to your house they go in circles playing the blame game , no one owns up to it nor helps you fix the situation. My parents ordered a $550 rug and they mailed a $200 rug different style and size via FedEx and when I called corporate they said this store should fix that and the store is acting like they can't . When we went to store we were faced with hostility especially by one guy who basically said I don't want to see you here again to my dad .

Great job by Albert, kelvin ad Ed. We Received a wonderful treatment till a win win bargain as these guys ensured we got value and spent some cool cash. Nice furniture we got only because they pushed harder to encourage us. You guys are awesome.
Trouble experience and trouble customer service. All the customer service agents setting behind the desk need tovget fired. Called them few time can give a straight answer and very rude. Never shop with Ashley again neither recommend.
No great choices
Today, I visited Ashley HomeStore for the first time and I was VERY disappointed. The sales rep Barry was very unprofessional and rude. I came in with a screenshot of the item I wanted and in store the price was almost double. Barry then tried to convince me that ordering online was not the same as ordering from the store despite the fact that they are BOTH Ashley HomeStore- his sales practices are unethical. After pricing only ONE item he got frustrated and refused to even tell us the price of another set we inquired about and instead he told me it was out of my price range. I felt disrespected and I will NEVER patronize another Ashley furniture store again. I ended up going across the street where I met Tomas and he was incredibly pleasant and had exemplary customer service. I will be writing corporate about my experience because Barry should never work in customer service nor sales again. Runnnn!!!

Good deals and good service. Hassan was really attentive without been pushy. Help us stay on our budget and manage some extra discounts. I end up buying not only the bed I needed but a dinning set also.

Unbelievable. They inflate their prices and I don’t understand how they can be allowed to do this. Sales rep “Rafael” had the audacity to tell me a night stand was $860 but online it’s $176. They can’t even honor the prices they have POSTED in the store, and on top of it they charge for shipping but online offers free shipping. Do yourself the favor and either 1. Do your research before stepping in or 2. Just stay far, far, away. This is furniture sales! Not car sales!

Plenty of parking here. It's of rout 1&9 northbound in Linden NJ. Sales Person Tomas Martinez was very helpful with I was looking for. If you are looking for quality furniture at reasonable prices this is your place to shop. They do deliver too not sure if there is a charge for delivery. I have a truck so I didn't need the delivery service. Large selection of mattresses sofas kitchen tables to suit your taste.

DO NOT PURCHASE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AT THIS LINDEN NJ STORE! They have an ‘F’ rating with the Better Business Bureau! I went into Ashley furniture store several times before the expiration date on my warranty order to redeem the 5 year warranty. Each time I was met with a deterrent, they could not contact the warranty company, the manager was out, the computers were down etc .I had no reason to disbelieve because I had purchased furniture before and was able to use my warranty before! This time the company was under new management and I was denied by the office manager Theresa who was very unprofessional. She barely glanced at the paperwork, was dismissive and offered NO opportunity for resolution. She made several blind nonchalant attempts at denying my refund, but each attempt was refuted with the original paperwork on hand. So, realizing what I was dealing with, I took the matter to Better Business Bureau-the response given to the bureau by Ashley Furniture Store was they had no idea of what I was talking about because they were under new management and my paperwork was lost. The company felt this was a suitable answer to give a consumer! I feel that I need to make a complaint because this scam can be happening to other people! The matter needs to come to light at this location- 1741 West Edgar Rd in Linden NJ 07036 DO NOT PURCHASE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, BETTER YET ANY WARRANTY-THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!
We must have gone to the wrong location as the store was nearly empty. There was really no inventory and what was in the store was grossly overpriced. We walked in and out in about 20 mins
Went into this store to purchase a bed at the price of the store's website of 199.00. I put a down payment on the bed. Fast talking salesman pulls a fast one on me and sold it to me for 100 more. When I got home and realized I got duped I called the store back and spoke to the fast talking salesmen that sold me the bed. After he did some "fake checking in his system" he lowered the price back to its original price but then charged me extra for delivery. Delivery went from $79 to $150.00. I actually purchase a Dining Room set from the same store a few years back and was very satisfied... Not the case this time. I will never do business with these crooks again!! Update: I went back the same day and got a refund for my downpayment. My gut was telling me not to do business with them at all so I got my money back and wont be returning.
We bought a sectional. Nothing wrong with the furniture yet, however while purchasing the furniture the store was running a promotion and they were giving away doorbells and other gadgets when you purchased something for a certain amount. Instead of getting the gadget we opted into getting a $100 gift card to the store, which was supposed be mailed in after the furniture was delivered. While calling to check in on my furniture delivery, which took over a month, i was told multiple times that the gift card will be sent via mail after the delivery date. It’s over 5 months after the delivery and nothing yet. I finally called the store yesterday using my wife’s phone because for some reason i could never get ahold of anybody if used my phone, and the store had no idea what i was talking about. I was given a general customer service number and was told to inquire with them.

Never ever buy a thing from here. Bought a recliner for my elderly in laws, not even a year old the leather got wrinkled, hard and started splitting all over the chair. Even though the chair has insurance and warranty NOBODY WILL FIX IT, even though at the very least theres a manufacturer warranty. The best they can do is ship the materials to my in laws home and we have to hire someone to repair it. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE. I'll be seeing them in small claims court
Went there today. It was the weirdest place--a nearly empty warehouse with a few pieces in the front. It looks like they're going out of business but there's not a single sign that says so. I called before we went and no one said anything AND when we got there an associate looked our way and didn't say anything, walked past us and ignored us. It was bizarre.
I brought a 3000.00 set from this company that was garbage and to make matters worst I got a protection plan from them . The company name is Montage, when you call them with an issue they send someone to your home in a personal vehicle dont fix the problem and then deny your claim. Do not deal with Ashley or Montage for your furniture needs, I'm out of 3000.00 . 4/17/19
My table was delivered with a dent in it. I called customer service for help. Was not happy. Will not shop with them ever again.
I will never, ever, ever, ever in my life purchase from Ashley Furniture again. This is the most mismanaged company that I have ever dealt with in my life. 1.We purchased a couch in June - the couch collapsed in December. 2. We financed the couch - they did not bill us until months late. After we spent months, calling and trying to get them to bill us, they finally started to bill us. We had to call the bank ourselves and sort everything out. 3. It is now April, and although we purchased the warranty, the couch is still not fixed. 4. When you make an appointment to have them come look at the furniture to see if it needs to be replaced or can be fixed, the appointment dates are 2 months out. You will only receive the time that they will come the day before. 5. When the repair man came to fix our furniture, he did not have the correct parts. (this was February 27th). He told us we should receive a call in 7-10 business days. 6. When We never received a call, I called them, and was told that I was supposed to call and place an order for parts. 7. I called and placed an order for parts, and the parts never came. This was 3 weeks ago. 8. I called back today, and they said they never received the work order. They put in ANOTHER order for parts and now I have to wait another 2-4 weeks. 9. When we purchased the couch, we never got a call about scheduling the delivery. 10. When we tried to call to schedule the delivery, the "phone line was down" at the site. I had to physically go back there in order to schedule a delivery. WHAT. IS. WRONG. WITH. THIS. COMPANY. We have been dealing with a broken couch since DECEMBER and it is now APRIL. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND AVOID THIS PLACE FULL OF INCOMPETENT PEOPLE.

Reasonably priced , nice furniture, but the worst customer service. My furniture was delivered damaged and I have been trying for three weeks to place a service call. They won’t schedule a time for a service call and keep telling me “someone will get back to me when it can be scheduled.” Absolutely unacceptable.

Bought a bed set, table, book case and chair from the store. The book case was damaged during transport and it has been 2 weeks since. I went to the store twice and they promised to send a salt technician to fix it. No response yet. The bed came yesterday and the the person after coming found the head board broken and took it back. Pathetic experience
Visited the store for the first time ever on Sunday 2/17/19 looking for a sectional we had found online. When we walked in, the sales person who approached us was shown the picture, and needed to ask a manager where to find it.... we saw it, sat and loved it. We asked, how much is it with tax, shipping and everything for the THREE piece sectional. NOT the 4 piece on display. He came back with a price over $2000 and ARGUED with us that he was quoting the right couch when we knew he was wrong. Long story, we were right. He had to go back and forth to the system about 4 times all to give us a final price. We decided to apply for finance but he didn’t communicate the need to pay for taxes up front and finance the remainder. Almost 2 hours later- Overall, we’ve never been to a store where we came in ready to buy and just wanted someone to take our money and had to go through managers and so many different people to buy a couch for goodness sakes. We’re waiting for an update on delivery date as one was not provided. Update to come after the furniture is received. Currently have no faith in the store except for one manager who sounded like he knew what he was doing. Good luck !

The rep who helped me and my family at first with our purchase was great!! Only downfall that makes me give this location a 1star is that after you have made your purchase they no longer seem to want to help you. I’ve called twice and the lady that picks up the phone seems like she isn’t enthusiastic or even wants to attend you with your questions and sends you to call customer service. Second time I called was because our furniture was delivered but missing items, (and I called the location I made the purchase from because I thought they could help), but again the same girl picked up the phone and told me to call customer service that they can’t do anything in store. Very disappointed. They should be helping customers and retaining customers instead of pushing them away.
