Purchased a sofa set with 5 year warranty and within timeframe of warranty I want to replace parts (cushion fabric) that warranty won’t cover. Will happily pay. The parts can not be found and I’m told my parts and sofa may be discontinued. Well warranty won’t cover damage and I can’t buy new parts so just screwed out of a 3 year old sofa to do anything?

very disappointed, walked in no one said hello, my boyfriend and i walked around for 20 minutes and still no one cared. there were ladies at the desks and they didn’t say anything. and about three men, two of which were talking at a table and one wasn’t paying attention. sucks we are closing on our apartment next week, saw a few things we would have loved. we’re better off going elsewhere since we felt looked at as less since we are in our early twenties.

Danielle was outstanding! She made this whole experience very smooth and enjoyable. She was very professional polite and courteous and did not make you feel rushed or pressured. She was also very attentive and knowledgeable of what we were looking for and found the perfect match!

3 weeks, still waiting for delivery

We had Tyler as our salesperson and we can't say enough about what a great guy he is. We came into the store to look for new couches. We went to another furniture store to do a price comparison and we weren't impressed. What we were impressed with was Tyler...his personality and the way he handled himself is what brought us back to Ashley Furniture. We left with new couches and a painting. We are very impressed by the ENTIRE staff at Ashley Furniture in Manhawkin.

*Edited* Do not Buy From This Location!! Changed from 5 star to 1 Star due to false advertisement and information. I was specifically told that I had dissemble and assembly included in my order and here is the delivery and they won’t do it without an additional $450. Customer Service was awful when speaking to the store and now my couch is being sent back and have to go through a refund process. The Manager should have taken responsibility for their employees mistake and credited me the amount for assembly. They would of save their sale and made a customer happy but instead lost thousands of dollars and a lost a customer.

Sales rep Damonn was great, very knowledgeable, not pushy and looked for ways to save us money every way he could. Many times when i make purchases i feel like i may have gotten taken advantage of but i know this was not the case. He advised my wife and i about a sale in a few days rather than get the larger commission. He understood the value of doing right by your customer and getting repeat customers. Thank you, Damon.

Bought a few beds over a month ago including a bunk bed. They came to deliver the products and they realized when putting the bunk bed together it was missing the ladder, so the guys showed me that they were putting in a work order saying the ladder was missing and should be in within the week. Well over a month later, still waiting for the ladder or even a phone call back for that matter. Been calling every other day about the status and all they do is send an email to call me back and I never hear from them. I even told them to deliver to the ashley store in Manahawkin and will pick up from there but still nothing. I called the store and one of the managers picked up and basically told me it wasn't her problem after I told her it has been over a month and she didn't want to be bothered. I told her that I was very disappointed and I would not go there again and she just said well sorry you feel that way and basically felt like I was bothering her. Yes they are very nice going through the door but once they make their sale, they are done with you. If there is a problem good luck getting any help. They should of made sure all the parts were accounted for and it was their fault for not having all the pieces, which I understand it was a mistake but they should be going out of their way to make it right. Seriously over a month and still nothing, very disappointing and very disgusted how the manager talked to me over the phone as not to even try to accommodate me for a mistake they made. Last call I made was today to customer service yet again and yet again they promised they would call back sometime today and still nothing, very shameful how they treat people after they make their money. Will NOT buy anymore furniture from there!!

Bending over backwards for the customer RARELY happens POST sale but I have been blown away by the FABULOUS customer service from those in the Manahawkin NJ store- Emily, Angelina, Bruno, Sara and Suzette. We have been in 3 separate times for large purchases: bedroom set, living room sectional and mattresses. Each time during the purchasing process they were warm, friendly and accommodating. Angelina even offered to help get best sale pricing for a possible out of town sale for my parents. With each sale, we purchased the extra warranty and are so glad we did. Oddly one piece had some wear issues on our sectional this team went out of their way to make it right. And they did it quickly and efficiently. They were very communicative and provided us a replacement. We are so thankful we did business at Ashley and we will be back! Top Notch Customer Service! Thank you thank you thank you!!!! We’ve been round and round with Ashley because the set we bought would not match up after several days of taking off work for new pieces to arrive, I finally requested to exchange for a new set and the general managers manager said “no” and they wanted to send yet another piece that wouldn’t have worked. I dealt with the GM who did the right thing, they exchanged the set and he recovered quite nicely just by doing the right thing. Together we called Ashley guest services and they finally granted us an exchange. The only thing that would have made it better was for them to take the matching end tables back but that was not granted. I will say Bruno is a great guy who went the extra mile not much was in his control because his boss is a word I can’t say on here. Bruno made it right for us thanks to him Ashley is a place I’d still buy furniture. We got stuck with two end tables for a sectional that we no longer have but it’s better than every other option offered to us. Thank you Bruno for making it right, customer service isn’t always the situation but how you recover. Ashley should be glad to have him. Also, Tami helped us for months she was the sweetest even when I was angry with the lack of service. Thanks to Bruno and Tami for resolving our situation.

Emily Van Blarcom was our sales person and was assisted by Angelina. Both were very informative, professional and helpful. Emily spent all the time we needed to thoroughly review and understand the various different types mattress and manufacturers. Neither Emily or Angelina put pressure on us to buy or push any thing we didn’t need or want. After explaining our likes and dislikes to them they showed, demonstrated and let us try the different products they carried and gave us information on each so we could make an informed decision. Because of the sales staff at Ashley’s (Emily & Angelina), product knowledge, low pressure and willingness to work with the customer, I would highly recommend to anyone if looking for a mattress and bed to go to Ashley’s in Manahawkin and ask for Emily or Angelina for assistance.

I have called the store and spoken to someone 6 times and still cannot receive my order. They refuse to complete the 5 lines on my HOA document that simply asks for their name, address, date of delivery, phone number and what is to be done. When I call, they refer me to the delivery department who refers me back to the store, and then they again refer me back to delivery. Today it was customer service at the delivery site who said that they would "deliver the message." Based upon other reviews I will cancel the order. It's safer.

After four visits to the store and numerous phone calls to customer service, I am still stuck with a three month old couch that is falling apart. Customer service tells me sorry but fabric ripping on all seat cushions is my problem. And visits to the store are a waste of time since managers do not follow up or care for a customers issues. After over 10 purchases over the years, I will never buy anything from Ashley’s again.

Awful I don't recommend this place even if they're giving stuff away for free. I order bed furniture from them it came missing stuff and not the same thing I paid for it and the delivery people took off before I even sign the paper. I called the store the manager told me that was nothing she can do about it.

When I arrived at Ashley’s I was greeted by GiovannI. He was pleasant and enthusiastic and took me right to the patio set I was interested in purchasing. I wanted to see the color in person before I was willing to pay for it. Returns are expensive there, especially with large items. Giovanni answered all my questions and if not sure he took the time to verify it. I was browsing the store and Giovanni and the store manager came over several times to offer help. I appreciated that. They also gave me the space to continue browsing on my own. Giovanni was considerate, knowledgeable and easy to work with. The staff was also helpful and and accommodating. If you are looking for ideas and/or furniture to decorate or upgrade your home I would highly recommend starting at Ashley’s in Manahawkin NJ.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Ordered a couch from this store. Delivery team shows up with a dead drill and the couch was delivered with large indented hole in arm of couch. Delivery company told us we will have new couch delivered within 3 days. Customer service was contacted, they wanted to send a piece of fabric to cover up the hole, then tried to deny taking the whole couch. Finally we came to agreement that the whole couch needed to be taken and replaced. We are then told someone would contact us in 48-72 hours with new delivery date, we wait the 72 hours and no call. My husband goes to the store, our sales representative was wonderful but the manager is an absolute disgrace could care less that we didn’t have a couch to deal and only wanted to give us 5 % off with no delivery date. Meanwhile we have a 9 week old baby and no living room couch, so we cancelled the order. First time ordering there and will be the last. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

We usually hate shopping for furniture because of the feeling of being scammed or not being told the true price of things. But our sales rep Cathy was very accommodating to what we were looking for and did everything she could to help us get a couch by the holidays. Frank the manager was also very helpful. This store has the worst ever customer service. They are all smiles when you are buying and paying. Laugh with you then tell you how wonderful it’s to serve you. Then we get the sectional. What a disappointment. Two of the back pillows didn’t have enough stuffing in them. Then where I sit, after a week it look like it was ten years of wear and tear. I called up the store and sent them pictures. That’s as far as it went for weeks. Then I called again and one of the nasty women said you have to call this number. And they would fix it. That’s your job I paid you. Then that number no one spoke English or very little, if they answered the phone. Called the store she tells me let me help you and gives me the same number. Then I called another number and it’s the furniture doctor. After many nasty customer service girls at the store . They are going to fix it after months of trying. I even asked to speak to the manager and he never got back to me. Also for some reason when I call the store it keeps ringing with never a answer. I guess they block you if your not a satisfied customer. They never really wanted to help with the problem. They just pass the bucket. They have my money in full. Then it f u I guess. I’ll never buy from Ashley’s again as long as I live.

I had the very best experience at Ashley Furniture I went in and bought a bed and box spring and Mattress got it home decided that it was not comfortable for me went back and they were able to exchange it for me Frank McGarry was such a huge help he went above and beyond and because I am living in a senior apartment he personally came over and set it up for me and then when I changed my mind he came back and took it all apart and removed it for me I now have a hybrid Posturepedic mattress with the power base and I love it I'm so happy that I chose Ashley and I'm very blessed to have received such great service especially from Frank McGarry I highly recommend you stopping at the store on Route 72 in Manahawkin New Jersey

Ordered a table and chairs in November 2021. I was told it would take three months to arrive. After multiple times being told it was on its way I’m finally getting it delivered Thursday August 4th!!!!! 9 months later

I placed an order for a sofa here in store & it took 3 months for it to come in & I was told 2 different delivery estimates..once my couch arrived the wood inside the couch broke within not even a month of having it..very disappointed.

I visited Ashley furniture over presidents’ day weekend in February and was greeted by Michele who helped me during my shopping trip. Michele was instrumental in helping me find a set I liked and also was great about checking prices and availability. I came back a few days later and placed my order with Michele and she guaranteed me that my order would be in within 12 weeks, but assured me it would be sooner then that. I was a little skeptical, but Michele was really thorough and even showed me that in her system the pieces were due to arrive in March. When I got my text that they would be in for the first week on March i was surprised, but thrilled! My new set was delivered and set up and in my home quickly and professionally. I can’t say enough great things about my experience with the team at Ashley furniture in Manahawkin, we’re very pleased with everything!

Chris my salesman was very thorough and very helpful. He wasn’t pushy at all which made my time at your store very pleasant. He knew there was a timeframe that our recliner had to be delivered and the one my daughter and I were looking at to purchase would have not met that timeframe, so he searched all the powered recliners and found a few that would be delivered for Feb 1st and we found the perfect one. I then had to go to customer service to check on my Ashley card if it was still active and that’s where I met Ricky, (what a helpful young man) I called synchrony to activate my card and hung up with them ready to purchase and found out it wasn’t so Ricky had called himself and helped with the reactivation which it then went through. He was reassuring me at the time not to worry and that he would get it resolved and he did. I can’t begin to explain how important this purchase today was, as it’s for my husband who will finally be coming home from the hospital soon. I have brought dressers from them, and my drawers are falling off the track and they don’t want to back in and they also keep falling off when try to put them on. Also my frame on my furniture is stripped. The repair company doesn’t return your phone calls for 24-48 hours. I have called them on Wednesday and was told someone will call me 2 days from now and no one has. This will be the last time I ever purchased anything from this store.

Purchased furniture in full, $3,000, November of 2020. Was told we were missing one piece of the sectional, kept being delayed, and last told the end of April. Spoke with the manager, Dave, and told “maybe” we will get our furniture by end of June/July! Maybe! Asked for refund and encountered nothing but unprofessionalism, rudeness, along with nothing but lies through the whole process. I would never recommend this store, nor would I ever buy furniture from Ashley again.

Let the photos speak for themselves. Finally got my set delivered after almost 3 months. $2,500 and this is what I get delivered and it’s missing more than half of the hardware. Ashley Furniture will never get another dime from us. And the delivery men were SO rude.

There is a difference between sales person and stalker. Learn it. (Go straight to Todd!!) 1 star for this experience. But show room is nice. Well stocked. 90% of the sales people are just that and not stalkers. It's just plain rude and uncomfortable.

I had a five star experience at the store when I took my fiancée there to look for a new reclining Chair . We wanted to upgrade to an electric one. Roxanne greeted us as soon as we walked in and then took us on a tour of the floor models. Roxanne was very helpful and is thoroughly knowledgeable about the inventory. She was one hundred percent responsive to our questions, answering them directly without any guessing or hesitation which is something I look for when I need sales help. Her expertise , patience and calm demeanor was a major factor that helped us pick out the chair that we were looking for . One must recognize the fact that the sales personnel here rely on commissions so it is important to remember who your sales person is the next time you go back. This is especially an important fact to remember during these tough and slumping financial times during the Covid pandemic.

When I walked into the store, I was immediately greeted with a very pleasant associate. She called up my sales associate, Marie. Marie is not only professional, but very knowledgeable. She was patient, kind, and very pleasant. All the associates greeted me and said hi. It was an overall wonderful experience. I will be referring Marie to all my friends and family.

I recommend going elsewhere unless you want to be followed around the store and asked continuously if you need help or are working with someone then shop here. In store they hawk eye you, I assume because they’re working off commission, but if you call and need help they only let you talk to the person who you worked with in store. The customer service overall is very poor with Ashley Furniture. I’ve heard others have had better experiences with other furniture stores.

Don't stand behind their product. I didnt buy an over priced mattress cover that they wanted 4 times what itisted for online a d now they won't exchange the mattress they sent me, which by the way feels completely different then the stores mattress, and now I can't even sleep in my own bed. They want 900 dollars to exchange the mattress when I spent nearly 2000 dollars in their store. Dont buy from them. Absolutely terrible to deal with. Now I have to buy a whole new mattress pretty much because they don't want to stand behind the product they sell.

don't stand behind their product. highway robbed me with trying to force me to buy a mattress cover for 4 times what its worth online. then said their 30 day warranty doesn't count if I dont by their specific cover. get my mattress home and it feels nothing at all like it felt in the store. long story short 900 dollars to exchange it for a mattress that doesn't give me crippling back pain. so after spe ding over 2 thousand dollars im gonna be sleeping on my couch because I can't sleep in my own bed. absolutely ridiculous. do not shop here. whatever you do. dont.

I recently visited Ashley furniture to browse their furniture for a kitchen set. We were greeted by a saleswoman named Marie. She was such a pleasure to deal with, not overly pushy, she asked some questions to guide us through the available furniture to see if it fit our needs. We were undecided with what we wanted, so we shopped other furniture stores, but to no avail, nothing was meeting our needs. We returned to Ashley and I have to say Marie and Dave the store manager could not do enough to meet our needs, including Dave pulling a drawer from a similar collection to make sure it would be a close match to the collection we were buying, what a great buying experience. We went in to buy a kitchen set and walked out buying a bedroom set, tv console, and accent pieces. Great buying experience, an honest and unpressured event, highly recommend this store and sales team!!

Product never showed up on delivery date after a month and half wait, then failed to give us a cash refund after paying in cash stating we have to wait for a 10 day check. Horrible business structure and managers. Do not shop here.

Furniture shopping during a pandemic proved to be very difficult! My husband and I wanted to actually see the furniture and test it out in person so when Ashley opened up we made an appointment right away. The store was sanitized prior to opening and we were the only ones in the store during our appointment! Hand sanitizer was scattered throughout the store which was also nice! Marie was a huge help when picking out our furniture! My husband and I were very indecisive but she helped us pick the perfect furniture for our space and was very honest with us which we really appreciated!

I took my 93 yr old Mom to buy a lift chair and after visiting several stores she found one that she liked in Ashley. The chair worked fine for a few months but then it malfunctioned. This is when the nightmare started-You see Mom purchased the extended warranty but the salesperson taking the service call treated her like she was a nobody. Lying at first and trying to make her believe untruths. Eventually she was told that they would contact the repairman but that my Mom would have to do the follow-up. The repairman finally called but was unable to accomodate her with appropriate hours for a 93 yr old lady. He wanted to be at her home by 7-7:30 even after she pleaded her case that she has mobility problems, and that time in the morning was almost impossible. He matter of factly told her that she would have to wait another week to reschedule. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!

Nice store nice furniture

We went to Ashley 's to buy a dresser and a nightstand for a very small bedroom. We faced a big challenge trying to find the right size nightstand. We wanted light furniture for the space. We had looked at other places and were beginning to lose some hope. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a representative named Mike. Mike Mike to be exact. Think a camel and hump day. We explained what we needed and our dimension needs. He was instantly able to show us a dresser option, but more importantly several nightstand options. And due to his knowledge of the furniture throughout the store, we found a side table that perfectly matched the dresser, fit our space and had unexpected toots and whistles(built in electricity and cell chargers, cool). Mike made everything go seamlessly. Loved his positivity and humor. We have other Ashley furniture and their quality is very good. We would definitely work with Mike again.

Dumpster fire of a store. Held order for over a month, told the day before delivery that my order was out of stock and the closest day of delivery was in another month and a half. Will be cancelling my order and purchasing from Raymour from now on. Customer service also sent me in loops with no one qualified to help.

Went in for a recliner for my mom for Christmas, still waiting for it to be delivered. At this point do not believe I am ever going to get it, need to know about getting my money back.

I bought a recliner at this Ashley Homestore and believe that it has bedbugs in it. I have gotten bites on my legs and neck after falling asleep on this recliner. Ashley would not send someone to inspect chair or give me a new chair. I was INSULTINGLY told by someone in customer service that they don't have a problem with bedbugs in the warehouse and that the problem is probably in my home. Funny thing is that I have never had any bites anywhere I sleep and sit until this chair was delivered.I would rate this store with a negative star if I could.

Went in just to browse and found a three piece sofa we loved and Mike helped us through everything with ease! Mike is a great sale person while so not making us feel pressured about buying. We also found a bar high top table we liked and bought it; however, the next day we found one we loved at the Ashley outlet in deptford and we called mike and asked him to help us. We fell in love and purchased a dining room table and chairs the Sunday before Thanksgiving (because we are irresponsible) and they got it to us by Thanksgiving Eve! I was just at this store yesterday with my husband and son and I cannot believe how horrible the service was in there. I had to keep calling people to help me and they almost ignored me the whole time and was a struggle to get any help or answer to any of my questions. I was so annoyed with the lack of professionalism and help that I left the store... they didn't seem to care either way and I sure they didn't even care if I left or not... if they continue with this type of service this store will not last much longer in this location... manahawkin Thank you for reading my message, I went to the store in TOMS RIVER yesterday and I was very pleased the way I was treated and the attention they gave us and how they made sure to answer all my questions and concerns. I ended up buying a loveseat that I originally was interested in at the Manahawkin store but because I did not get the help I needed I had to go somewhere else. I truly believe that customer service is a very important step for customers to feel comfortable and confident that they are in the right store to purchase whatever they need. Anyway I am very happy with my purchase and it will be delivered before Christmas!!! I could go to other stores after what happen but I decided to give it another try and I am happy with the outcome, the items at the store in Manahawkin were not the problem; the people who work there need to treat customers as their priority and ensure they have their full attention on the customers to have a positive outcome... thank you

Bought a dresser , took off work , I never got my call about the delivery this is not the first time that this has happened. When I call to find out why I did not get a call they said they did not even have me down for a delivery date. Sales people are very pleasant and probably don't have much control over this but it's very annoying and it discourages me from buying more furniture

Never again. Furniture was ordered 3 weeks prior to desired delivery date. All 3 items were promised to be delivered on a specified date. Only 2 of the 3 items have been delivered so far in 2 separate deliveries. Trying to resolve the issues of the deceitful delivery dates with the store were unsuccessful. In fact the store manager offered compensation but retracted the offer. Requests to have a district manager or corporate contact me have been unanswered.

Dave was very friendly and knowledgeable - he was able to explain everything to us about differences in mattresses. Our first time at Ashley - and he definitely made it a great experience!

First time at the Manahawkin store and we had a great experience Karen helped guide us through the store without any sales pressure. She even moved some pieces around so we could coordinate colors better! The manager and financial staff were awesome as well

I've been waiting for 3mo for the rest of my bed frame, Foot and side-rails and inside slats. 2wks in a row I waited for nothing. They didn't have all the parts for my bed again. I CANCELLED. I don't want it no more I'm not wasting any more of my time. And the poor delivery guys were so embarrassed because they were here two times. Wrong parts wasn't all there SMH it's NOT the delivery guys fault. I even told them this time.. before you take my bed apart make sure it's the right one and it's all there. Sure Enough it wasn't the right one again. SMH

Vanessa at the Ashley Homestore made my shopping experience so stress free!! I had visited 5 furniture stores yesterday in search of a new sectional couch. I was feeling overwhelmed with my decision until I met Vanessa. She was so easy to work with (and I tend to resist sales people). I went to the Toms River Ashley Furniture store. Michelle Tice greeted me. I knew the set name but not where it was located in the store. Colleen, the manager agreed on a price with me and did her best to find my furniture in manual - not power delivered to me this coming Tuesday I’m here to tell you that there was no back and forth with this store. They were accommodating and hospitable. I am very grateful for real leather at a great price and it being delivered sooner vs later. Hats off to you guys. Thanks so much again

Pete Giordano is absolutely unbelievably helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating and professional. Pete helped me with an issue and saved a rather large sale. He kept an open line of communication with me and definitely handled my anxiety regarding an unfortunate situation. Pete is the type of representation that Ashley Furniture needs. He should be the face of this company. Ashley is very lucky to have him.

Bought my new purple 4 mattress from here. Darlene (aka Patty) was so wonderful. She really helped me find the best mattress for us without any pressure. I wish I had more bedrooms to furnish to go back for more impeccable help. I went to many stores in this process and this one was definitely the best!
