We had an amazing experience at Ashley Furniture in Manahawkin. A few days ago we came in and were immediately greeted by Lisa, and honestly she set the tone for the whole visit. She asked what we were shopping for, pointed us in the right direction, and then did something I wish more furniture sales associates understood... She gave us space to browse on our own. No hovering, no pressure, just the perfect balance of being available when we needed her while still letting us talk and shop comfortably. That alone made a huge difference. My husband and I just bought a new home and we have multiple rooms to furnish, so we weren’t totally sure where to even start. Lisa was patient, helpful, and really listened. When we explained we didn’t love the chairs that came with the table we liked, she pulled out her iPad and started showing us other chair options that would work beautifully. What REALLY stood out was that she even encouraged us to check out another store location to see certain chairs in person before committing. That level of honesty and customer care is rare, especially when someone is working on commission — but Lisa genuinely cared more about us being happy with our purchase than rushing a sale. We came back a few days later as promised and Lisa was just as kind and patient the second time around. Angelina (Sales Manager) was also fantastic. She was honest about what would and wouldn’t match instead of just agreeing to make a sale, which we truly appreciated. We ended up spending much more than we originally planned, and Lisa and Angelina brought in Todd (GM) who worked with us as best as possible, and Jared at checkout was great as well and explained everything clearly. Overall, everyone was friendly, personable, and professional. If you’re shopping here, ask for Lisa — she made this such an easy and positive experience!

I went here numerous times. The sales staff are friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy. The prices are on point to slightly lower then competitors. I only took a star off due to limited salesfloor. I looked online then went into the store and the salesman I had was wonderful! Even if the item is not in the sales room they will show you a comparable and order you whatever you want without pressure to purchase only salesfloor merchandise. While placing my order, waiting on computer I got great dog training tips as that is his side hustle. Manager is always on checking to ensure you get the best options and deals.

Tempur-pedic Pro Breeze Mattress Fantastic experience from start to finish. The Pro Breeze mattress is incredibly comfortable and keeps me cool all night. The sales associate, Tyler, was knowledgeable, patient, and helped me find the perfect mattress at a great sale price. Excellent service and an amazing mattress — highly recommend!

I purchased a new sectional from Ashley. After we got home I noticed when they itemized and discounted the individual pieces to the sectional they made a calculation error in their favor. I phoned to get the error corrected and was told they did see the mistake and would credit my account. I am still waiting. Although it wasn’t a significant amount of money, I would still expect some integrity from the company. Don’t trust them. The delivery company they used was exceptional and professional.

Can not say enough about the positive experience we had at Ashley’s with Todd Scarborough. He was friendly and professional. My wife and I knew what we were looking for and he listened and was able to show us pieces that fit our need. No pressure, straight forward pricing, and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend and ask for Todd and he will surely help you out if they can.

Had to edit my review sadly. What started out as a 5 star experience quickly has turned into the worst furniture experience I have ever had. Recently moved and needed a LOT of new furniture. Went in on the initial occasion to purchase dining room and bedroom room furniture. They were having a sale - the sales person was helpful - ordered both the dining room and bedroom pieces I wanted for a great price during their Labor Day sale and left happy and excited. Several days later I receive a call from Angelina- the sales manager asking if I had ordered a bed with my purchase and when I stated yes, she explained their was an issue and I was never charged for it and now she wanted me to pay another $1700! When I left the store that day - all the items I purchased were read back to me on 2 separate occasions and that I assumed what I agreed to pay was for everything I ordered. She explained there was some sort of error on some of the paperwork and told me there was nothing she could do. I had to ask her to look over all my items (there were many) to see if she could make up some of the cost elsewhere because I should not be eating their entire mistake. It took her until the next day to get back to me to offer me $250 off my entire order that was $5000+ at this point. After several phone calls back and forth with her I asked if we could get the bill under $5000 since that was my original budget (which would have been roughly $500 off and I still would be eating $1200+ of this unexpected mistake) but she couldn’t manage that to save the sale and do right by the customer. Gets worse - As Angelina and I could not come to an agreement on this issue I contact corporate customer service who had told me they are emailing the regional manager and owner to assist me and nearly 2 weeks has gone by without anyone helping me. I also have no bedroom or dining room furniture while all this is pending and had paid for which absolutely SUCKS! So now not only did I lose my trust in this store in particular but Ashley is losing my business as a customer which is sad because I still needed a ton of furniture which I will now go elsewhere and hopefully be treated like my sale is valued. Truly disappointed.

I purchased a power recliner at Ashley Furniture 3 years ago buying the warranty just in case anything went wrong with the chair. Well the recliners motor went and I am waiting 4 months just for motor that is coming from Vietnam which at the time I did not know. I would not of bought it. The warranty company is not helping at all. Never again will buy anything from Ashley Furniture. Just a a lot of aggravation and a waste of money.

Even if product is “in stock”- you’ll be waiting a month to get it! Order online!!! I came in to fully furnish my new home in the area. The guy that helped me and his manager felt like a used car salesman- one told me “free shipping” then the other was trying to make me believe that they’re doing something special for me. But I get it. They also didn’t know that the pillow came with the kid’s mattress- even tho it was part of their sale. I found a bedroom set online for my youngest child. The website said it was in stock at the Manahawkin location… and when I went into the store, the manager told me that the online store and their store are 2 separate entities- that I shouldn’t go off the online store about things in stock. Ok fine. She also told me that they have that bedroom set IN STOCK, and in white. I wasn’t planning on getting an all white set, but agreed since it was “in stock” . Well… It’s been over 3 weeks and I’m still waiting on this set! If I would have ordered online , I would have had the set in less than a week. I even called back to see if I can get a different color- considering I’m waiting this long for this bedroom set. The manager told me that the guy that was helping me will call me back, but he never did. The manager said “she’s not shipping any orders for another week” - but I’ve been dealing with the shipping center and they are a separate entity. So that’s confusing! The check out experience was also a little weird because you check out regularly and then you have to check out with somebody else for the delivery - and then call the delivery to see when they can ship out the product…. Which I thought it was in stock at the store. Thank goodness I didn’t order anything else! I would have an unfurnished home! Every other furniture store - next door and in the area has delivered that same week. And it’s a shame because I fell in love with this sofa set, but the guy helping didn’t know the price. I’m going to stick to online shopping unfortunately- I wish I had a better experience.

I came in with my family to look at couches and ended up purchasing two chairs because of the amazing staff, Jarrod, Angelina, and Lisa. If it wasnt for them, I would have just went somewhere else. We went to another store before here and they were very pushy and weren't as knowledgeable.

Purchased a sofa set with 5 year warranty and within timeframe of warranty I want to replace parts (cushion fabric) that warranty won’t cover. Will happily pay. The parts can not be found and I’m told my parts and sofa may be discontinued. Well warranty won’t cover damage and I can’t buy new parts so just screwed out of a 3 year old sofa to do anything?

very disappointed, walked in no one said hello, my boyfriend and i walked around for 20 minutes and still no one cared. there were ladies at the desks and they didn’t say anything. and about three men, two of which were talking at a table and one wasn’t paying attention. sucks we are closing on our apartment next week, saw a few things we would have loved. we’re better off going elsewhere since we felt looked at as less since we are in our early twenties.

We went to another furniture store to do a price comparison and we weren't impressed. *Edited* Do not Buy From This Location!! Changed from 5 star to 1 Star due to false advertisement and information. I was specifically told that I had dissemble and assembly included in my order and here is the delivery and they won’t do it without an additional $450. Customer Service was awful when speaking to the store and now my couch is being sent back and have to go through a refund process. The Manager should have taken responsibility for their employees mistake and credited me the amount for assembly. They would of save their sale and made a customer happy but instead lost thousands of dollars and a lost a customer.

Sales rep Damonn was great, very knowledgeable, not pushy and looked for ways to save us money every way he could. Many times when i make purchases i feel like i may have gotten taken advantage of but i know this was not the case. He advised my wife and i about a sale in a few days rather than get the larger commission. He understood the value of doing right by your customer and getting repeat customers. Thank you, Damon.

Bought a few beds over a month ago including a bunk bed. They came to deliver the products and they realized when putting the bunk bed together it was missing the ladder, so the guys showed me that they were putting in a work order saying the ladder was missing and should be in within the week. Well over a month later, still waiting for the ladder or even a phone call back for that matter. Been calling every other day about the status and all they do is send an email to call me back and I never hear from them. I even told them to deliver to the ashley store in Manahawkin and will pick up from there but still nothing. I called the store and one of the managers picked up and basically told me it wasn't her problem after I told her it has been over a month and she didn't want to be bothered. I told her that I was very disappointed and I would not go there again and she just said well sorry you feel that way and basically felt like I was bothering her. Yes they are very nice going through the door but once they make their sale, they are done with you. If there is a problem good luck getting any help. They should of made sure all the parts were accounted for and it was their fault for not having all the pieces, which I understand it was a mistake but they should be going out of their way to make it right. Seriously over a month and still nothing, very disappointing and very disgusted how the manager talked to me over the phone as not to even try to accommodate me for a mistake they made. Last call I made was today to customer service yet again and yet again they promised they would call back sometime today and still nothing, very shameful how they treat people after they make their money. Will NOT buy anymore furniture from there!!

Bending over backwards for the customer RARELY happens POST sale but I have been blown away by the FABULOUS customer service from those in the Manahawkin NJ store- Emily, Angelina, Bruno, Sara and Suzette. We have been in 3 separate times for large purchases: bedroom set, living room sectional and mattresses. Each time during the purchasing process they were warm, friendly and accommodating. Angelina even offered to help get best sale pricing for a possible out of town sale for my parents. With each sale, we purchased the extra warranty and are so glad we did. Oddly one piece had some wear issues on our sectional this team went out of their way to make it right. And they did it quickly and efficiently. We’ve been round and round with Ashley because the set we bought would not match up after several days of taking off work for new pieces to arrive, I finally requested to exchange for a new set and the general managers manager said “no” and they wanted to send yet another piece that wouldn’t have worked. I dealt with the GM who did the right thing, they exchanged the set and he recovered quite nicely just by doing the right thing. Together we called Ashley guest services and they finally granted us an exchange. The only thing that would have made it better was for them to take the matching end tables back but that was not granted. I will say Bruno is a great guy who went the extra mile not much was in his control because his boss is a word I can’t say on here. Bruno made it right for us thanks to him Ashley is a place I’d still buy furniture. We got stuck with two end tables for a sectional that we no longer have but it’s better than every other option offered to us. Thank you Bruno for making it right, customer service isn’t always the situation but how you recover. Ashley should be glad to have him. Also, Tami helped us for months she was the sweetest even when I was angry with the lack of service. Thanks to Bruno and Tami for resolving our situation.

Neither Emily or Angelina put pressure on us to buy or push any thing we didn’t need or want. After explaining our likes and dislikes to them they showed, demonstrated and let us try the different products they carried and gave us information on each so we could make an informed decision. Awful I don't recommend this place even if they're giving stuff away for free. I order bed furniture from them it came missing stuff and not the same thing I paid for it and the delivery people took off before I even sign the paper. I called the store the manager told me that was nothing she can do about it.

When I arrived at Ashley’s I was greeted by GiovannI. He was pleasant and enthusiastic and took me right to the patio set I was interested in purchasing. I wanted to see the color in person before I was willing to pay for it. Returns are expensive there, especially with large items. Giovanni answered all my questions and if not sure he took the time to verify it. I was browsing the store and Giovanni and the store manager came over several times to offer help. I appreciated that. They also gave me the space to continue browsing on my own. Giovanni was considerate, knowledgeable and easy to work with. The staff was also helpful and and accommodating. If you are looking for ideas and/or furniture to decorate or upgrade your home I would highly recommend starting at Ashley’s in Manahawkin NJ.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Ordered a couch from this store. Delivery team shows up with a dead drill and the couch was delivered with large indented hole in arm of couch. Delivery company told us we will have new couch delivered within 3 days. Customer service was contacted, they wanted to send a piece of fabric to cover up the hole, then tried to deny taking the whole couch. Finally we came to agreement that the whole couch needed to be taken and replaced. We are then told someone would contact us in 48-72 hours with new delivery date, we wait the 72 hours and no call. My husband goes to the store, our sales representative was wonderful but the manager is an absolute disgrace could care less that we didn’t have a couch to deal and only wanted to give us 5 % off with no delivery date. Meanwhile we have a 9 week old baby and no living room couch, so we cancelled the order. First time ordering there and will be the last. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
