Bought dining table and Paid Separately $150 plus tax for furniture care, they provided us documents what is covered and wt not for 5years. After 2 years paint was coming off and was listed Under covered but they did not honor that and that company ,Don’t spend any money on warranties

I was eyeing a table online for about a month. I went to the store just to see if they had it so I could see it in person. Ashley knew right away where it was and even helped us search for other chairs since the ones that come with it didn't work for me (kids and fabric chairs). Passed on the chairs but got the table and a protection plan for a great deal. I really recommend working with Ashley. She was very resourceful, knowledgeable, and laid back. I didnt feel pressured or persuaded to make a purchase.

I bought 2 rocker recliners from Ashley. I had then about 9 months and I had a problem with the one. More stuffing was needed for 1 and if you sit in it your feet don't touch the floor due to weak springs. I had a technician come and Ashley says it's normal eat and tear so it's not converted under manufacturers warranty. BUYER BEWARE......

Philipsburg store- Disappointed with the sales person at Ashley. Ordered a bed for my daughter and was told (after asking twice) if a box spring was needed. Was told no by the sales person and manger in the floor, “No”. I specifically asked because it was a a slightly different model of bed. Guess what? They were wrong! Now I need to get a box spring! Disappointed in the whole process there!

The workers inside the store were very pleasant and professional. However, the only problem I have is that they told me my merchandise would be delivered in about 2 weeks, but now, I have to wait for 2 months. That's the reason I won't order anything else from that store.

Josh was great! Came in to look for an area rug for our living room, but had to weigh lots of options because we have a rug-ruining Frenchie. We know as pet parents we have to throw away rugs every so often because of our OCD with cleanliness, and Josh worked through many options with us until we got something we were happy with--at a great price! I purchased the Reveon Lakes sofa on 4/19/24, it was delivered on 5/8 and was damaged during delivery. When I noticed the damage the following morning I immediately called and Ashley furniture agreed to take back the sofa and give me a full prompt refund because I didn't feel like a repair would suffice. Also upon further inspection, I noticed a hole where the warranty pamphlet was attached to the sofa and that the sides of the sofa were merely fabric stretched over a cheap wood frame. I wanted it out of my house ASAP. They picked it up on 5/17 and I still have not received my refund check and it is July 11th. I've been given the runaround for almost two full months now and I can confidently say that I would NEVER buy furniture from Ashley Furniture again. They are selling overpriced, poorly constructed garbage and their customer service is by far the worst I've ever experienced. Go online to Costco for quality furniture, great prices, swift delivery and amazing service.

My mother and I went in today looking for a rug and a mirror and while having a bunch of different options to choose from Josh helped us choose the perfect mirror and assisted in browsing the rug options. The associates there were all amazing, but Josh truly went above and beyond.
They started off great, but finished horrible. The furniture was much later than promised. Not a huge deal. we made it work. The last two pieces where delivered yesterday and they don't fit. The sectionals do not connect to stay together. The frame on the chase lounge cracked after three uses. They offered a repair, but who wants a repair on a cracked frame? No replacement even with a 5 year warranty. Repairs only!

i have never had a good experience here. the sales people are all uneducated and unethical with their selling practices. will not let you walk around on your own. the furniture is nothing better than you can get off amazon. nothing is solid wood but they charge like it is. when i asked if they had anything that wasn’t particle board the girl with a chest tattoo said i was welcome to go shop somewhere else to see if they had solid wood.

My fiancé and I came to Ashley Furniture in Phillipsburg in search of a new couch, and we were greeted by Cholly upon entering the store. I absolutely adore him. EXCELLENT customer service, honest, very knowledgeable of pretty much anything you would want or need to know when furniture shopping, and just an overall delight. There’s so much more I could say, but he definitely made the whole experience significantly better. I’ll never forget him. He brightened my whole day and is a light to the world. We need more Chollys! We also got the sectional couch we wanted and at a great price :) I also have to comment about Nick, because he was equally as helpful and also great to work with!

Do not buy furniture from Ashley in Phillipsburg New Jersey. They lie about delivery dates and never reached out to let me know that the date would be 7 weeks instead of 3-4 like I was told during purchase. In the fine it says can take up to 12 weeks so the manager says becareful people. When asked for refund the charged a 25% stocking fee for something that is still not in stock. Over 500.00 dollars they charged me to put something back in stock that they did not have. The manager would not give me back the money I put down cause he wanted me to wait until whenever the furniture came in. He said it would be in my best interest to wait for the furniture to come in because he would not refund me my money back. That's a great way to try to strong arm someone.

Sara is fabulous! She didn’t give any high pressure sales when we entered the store - which we Hate. She welcomed us, asked if we were looking for anything in particular, and then provided relevant information on the sales available, and then let us wander. After letting us wander for a bit, came back to us to see if we had questions. We did, she offered suggestions and helpful advice, and was ready with pertinent price information. And we walked out buying three separate pieces. No high pressure sales pitches, just friendly superior attention and easy personality. The store is very lucky to have Sara for she knows exactly how to help customers find what they need and want, without customers feeling pressured to buy.

If i could i would give them zero starsi would. I have bought bunch of stuff due to prices but the quality is well below standard even for the lower prices. They will sell you a warranty that will not cover much if anything and they tell you you can get money back if you dont use it and i never got my money back. When i called they told me you have to call with in 90 days to get a credit.

They were 2 hours late with a phone call 30 minutes before because we had to call to see estimated time. Ashley manager told us we had to be available that whole day not jyst time frame. The timeframe was Friday 1-5. So by 7 they showed up and finished. No credit or sorry just you pay a restock fee and wait 1 1/2 weeks out for the bedroom set. They should have called earlier to let us know. Last purchase

Went out and purchased a couch and love seat combo alongside a television stand. I had to move everything on my own terms (seperate payment is required for delivery and assembly) and am content with the goods I've received, I guess. But there is damage to the top panel of the stand, and customer service won't stand by it and said there is nothing they can do for me, shocking. Given I signed off on the items at the loading dock and took them as is, instead of taking all the plastic wrap/card board apart to inspect everything, I'm in the position I am in. I would recommend others shop somewhere with better options and deals, this has been mediocre at best, I should've bargained more!

My first visit 5 years ago seem to be a very nice one. Had plenty of help, and on checkout I was informed about a protection plan that would have someone come out to repair my purchased couch if there was a problem and if not used it would be store credit. Now I go back today ready to use my store credit and the sales person informs me there is a minimum purchase amount required to use it. That was problem one. When I said I'm not ready to make a purchase ready of the amount without my credit the rep got visibly upset.

I went furniture shopping today with my mother who walks with a cane so I was worried it may be difficult to see all of the options in the whole store, which is why I went along so I could scan all the items I already knew were her style. The moment we walked into this store we were greeted by a salesman who asked what we were looking for and we told him. We initially found two matching pieces we liked but they were discontinued (yet the display is still on the display floor) because my mother is disabled, I walked around the entire store for anything I knew she would like. We found a recliner that we liked but their wasn't a matching love seat. The salesman insisted we look at another set that was not what we wanted at all and argued about how fancy it was and how he didn't understand why we didn't like it. When my mother expressed how she was feeling rushed by the salesman, he accused her of rushing him. After this We decided it was no longer worth the stress and proceeded to leave the store and her andy father are going to another furniture store. It's unfortunate because I did witness very professional sales people around us but we did not have the same experience as other happy customers.

I am not a fan of being attacked by sales people when you walk into a store. I like to be approached upon entering to find out if I need help but that's it. I had 3+ people bother me in the first 2 minutes of being in the store. Even though all of them heard me tell the 1st lady we were just browsing. We were bothered by various sales people over 10 more times before I had to bark at a lady that had repeatedly interrupted my wife's and my conversation. I won't go back to this store just because of this hounding experience.

Awful management and associates! Employees and managers don’t pay attention to what customers want. They initially didn’t include all the items we wanted in the order so we had to go back in and get it corrected. And then after that, they had us order an incorrect item because they told us the wrong name of the item that was on the floor. Of course we didn’t find this out until it was delivered and didn’t match what we saw in the store. They have done nothing to help resolve this after spending 2 days trying to contact customer support. Not to mention, throughout the whole process at the store they incorrectly put in names and addresses that we had to correct.

I tried several times to contact the warranty department about a claim. The laminate on the kitchen table started to peel, and it should have been covered, but the just didn't follow up. The chairs are starting to fail also. The sales people just brushed us off, and nothing got done. I just gave up and started buying at Raymour & Flanigan.

Beautiful store. Great presentation of the furniture!! Excellent decoration in the store. Delivery of the furniture is ruining your business. Furniture were delivered in unmarked truck without mechanical lift. Two unprofessional employees were struggling to get heavy furniture out of the truck. Furniture were in bad condition, dirty and damaged. I did not accept the furniture.

Very bad experience here. First the people working there were nice and very helpful. However, when it came time to buy, the manager came out and everything got very "sleazy". We were not offered the same price as what was online, and after asking, we were given the run around several different times. The manager ended with, "well if we give you the online price, then you have to pay for WHITE GLOVE home delivery service. If you buy from Ashley online, it will probably take to long and be damaged". At that point, we said we weren't comfortable buying from them and just left. BTW - Went to Raymour down the street and it was totally different.

I was helped by Cholly today when I came into the store and shopped for bunk beds for my kids. I made my purchase and was happy. My partner on the other hand was not so much. I was hoping to use a credit from the furniture protection I bought for my large purchase when I moved into my 2 bedroom apt 5/2018. Cholly let me know since the purchase was not 5 years old I could not use the money. $323 and change to be exact. My partner says this is when I should have left. I just could not get on the same page as him and went back to the store to do my refund. There was a slight error at purchase that I feel took my partner over the edge and said go return this bunk bed. The error was only ordering 1 mattress and not 2. This was an oversight by my sales rep. I caught the mattress protector mistake that was made too. I was initially buying 1 twin mattress cover + a twin XL cover. When I mentioned it to Cholly he immediately apologized and went to the back to get 2 twin size mattress protectors. I understand this stuff it is human error but that coupled with a missing mattrss and a promised delivery date of 11/18 my man just was not having it. I feel terrible I wasted everybody’s time including myself! I apologize for that Ashley furniture! Everybody was really sweet with me and I felt I was given good customer service. I am sorry things did not work out. Maybe at my 5th year mark I’ll.come use my $323. Thank you for helping me even though things did not work out.

The sales associate and manager NEVER explained to me that my delivery date was an estimated date. It was scheduled for 1 month after my purchase. When I went back to the store to ask what was going on, the manager Sheldon lied to me and told me the sofa was in the warehouse the next day. After waiting many days for a phone call, I called again and was told no that it wasn't at the warehouse. I continued to call and then was told my sofa won't be delivered until the middle of August! I had to purchase a futon because I had my furniture removed due to the fact that I was told it was to be delivered July 13th! Everyone I talk to gives me the run around and doesn't want to take accountability for anything! Update, I received my sofa on August 6th. I called today August 17th to ask when my recliner will be delivered. After repeatedly being placed on hold for 20 minutes, I was told there was a glitch in the system and the service rep did NOTHING for me. I called back and spoke to a rep in the Phillipsburg store who told me my order was deleted but it's in the warehouse and she scheduled my delivery for next week. Again, my order was placed on June 13th!
Everything went well with my Ashley Furniture purchase (so far). The sofa I ordered may take 4-12 weeks to be in-stock however I am not in a rush. Let me say that the entire staff at the Phillipsburg NJ Ashley Homestore were very accommodating and the sales rep that I worked with, Angelique, was outstanding. Extremely personable & easy to work with. I've purchased from Ashley furniture in the past and will undoubtedly do so in the future. The only difference is that now I know who to ask for. "A" is for Angelique!!! Thank you.

the quality of the paint is completely bad, the customer service does not answer questions and they do not solve problems with the guarantee, I personally recommend you visit another store that is not Ashley since you will regret buying furniture that does not last and 8 months and his paint comes off
Everyone there was fantastic. From the sales associate Sayed, the girl that worked the front desk, and of course Jerry. He went above and beyond to make a deal work for us, but unfortunately the measurements of the furniture ordered, would not fit into the space we have. We had to unfortunately cancel the order (which was our fault and no fault of the store) and they were more than accommodating, which we appreciate. I would totally recommend Ashley because the staff and management were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and make sure we have the proper measurements this time.
Overpriced. If you can avoid the "vultures" (sales guys that swoop down on you as soon as you step in) find the item you like and buy it on Amazon for literally 50% or more less expensive....

Still waiting for my furniture! Ordered it on 11/21 and continue to get the run around. This company needs to be 100% truthful on timeframes. Saying your furniture will be delivered in 12 weeks is unacceptable. Never buying furniture from them again!
Phillipsburg Ashley and their incredible staff were hugely helpful when I was shopping their with my family for a move to a new apartment. The staff was friendly and made great recommendations for what would be best for our space. They were incredibly considerate and helped us stay within our budget. The manager/owner of this store is a liar. He cost us $500. Shop small and if you have to shop with ashley furniture go to any other location than phillipsburg/Greenwich.
My wife and I were shopping recently for a small dinette set for our new home. We stopped in at Ashley Homestore in Phillipsburg, NJ. Upon entering the store we were cheerfully greeted by Colleen Diesch, who proceeded to take us around the store and show us the possibilities they offered. Colleen was friendly and knowledgeable explaining the options and prices. We found just what we were looking for and at a reasonable price. She is a credit to Ashley and a pleasure to deal with.
We’ve now bought three couches from this Ashley store and won’t go anywhere else. Customer service is excellent and they have a large variety of furniture in the store. If you can, ask for the saleswoman Angelique to help you. She was friendly and professional and did a great job helping us with our sale!

13 months ago we purchase and took delivery of 2 identical Zero Wall Power Wide Recliners which cost us $1529.98. Within the first minutes sitting in them, my wife felt something poking her in the back. Further investigation reveal a metal object which was the spring. Calling the store and was told a service/repair person would need to look at the recliner. It was a 2 week wait. When he showed up he found the problem and the fix was putting a BIG piece of foam in front of the spring, thus causing a huge bump against your back. The service guy said someone from Ashley would call about the service call, IT DID HOT HAPPEN! Now after the 13 months both recliners have depressions from sitting and are very uncomfortable and causing pain and neck pains. Sadly these recliners will be put on the curb. in closing, we will no longer do business with Ashley Furniture.
Very pleased with our experience with Ashley in Phillipsburg NJ today. We went to the store to price out mattresses and where helped by Eric. His knowledge of the different types and brands of mattresses really helped us choose the best mattress for our family. Two stars. I am sad that I have to give this, but I do (Phillipsburg NJ location). 1. The sales person was great. 2. We ordered a rocker/glider/swivel recliner and a sofa May 2021. We were informed that it would take 8-14 weeks for delivery. 3. IT TOOK 8 (EIGHT) MONTHS to finally take possession of two puces of furniture that were ordered. 4. Initially I would receive a text message saying that they were checking in, haven’t forgotten about us, but no useable information that would indicate actual delivery. After a couple of months those texts dried up and no information was forwarded. 5. I had to make countless calls asking when would items be delivered? Each time I was given a date that was further and further out. I would call once or twice a month for information. 6. In November (6 months after the initial order) I was informed that the sofa would be delivered at the end of the month and that the chair was not scheduled for delivery until April 2022! 7. At NO TIME WAS ANY DISCOUNT OFFERED AND CERTAINLY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TIMELY INFORMATION WAS INVISIBLE. 8. The sofa was NOT delivered in November and ni follow up calls were made to inform me of the status. If I had not had to make yet another phone call to them I never would have known. 9. I called in December. Delivery for the sofa was now slated for February, 10. I called again December to cancel the items and was told that the recliner rocker/glider/swivel chair was IN THE WAREHOUSE!!! And yet NO ONE CONTACTED ME to tell me. 11. Chair was delivered at the end of December. 12. I got a confirmation text regarding delivery and nothing more. I had to call to find out what time the item would be delivered. The chair was delivered and appears to be in acceptable condition. 13. I placed yet another call to follow up on the sofa at the end of December and was Informed it would be delivered in January. 14. Again, received only a confirmation text, but no follow up to inform me of what time the delivery would occur. I had to call Ashley to get this information. 15. The sofa arrived yesterday and the delivery guys did NOT WEAR MASKS so My partner and I grabbed our and wore masks while the delivery was made. (omicron and Covid are running rampant and these guys are not wearing masks. Not acceptable). 16. The sofa arrived in acceptable condition and I do very much like it, however, an 8 month delivery is wholly and completely unacceptable. The lack of follow up calls and transparency regarding the truth of how long it will take before you actually receive your purchase is unacceptable. 17. Unfortunately we will not be purchasing anymore furniture from Ashley Home Store due to being lied to about initial delivery and lack of any followup or customer service. 18. Expect exceeding long delivery windows and complete silence from Phillipsburg Ashley Home Stores. If should have been honest from the beginning regarding actual delivery expectations. 19. 2 stars is generous. 20. Sofa was delivered January 2022 Chair was delivered 12/2021

Sellers of terrible quality furniture and scam artist warranty service. We bought a sofa and recliner from Ashley and took out their extended warranty through Platinum Warranty Services. Submit a claim and we were told that nothing is covered. Sofa is only 2 years old and looks like its 20 years old. Its basically falling apart! TOTAL JUNK. Do yourself a favor, go anywhere else to get furniture and for the love of god avoid their garbage warranty service! You lost a customer and I will make sure to tell anyone who will listen to avoid you!

I went so see mattress and I had a very good customer service , even the manager came twice. They took enough time to explain all with bo rush but with patience and understanding of the time that requires to find a bed and for a big expense .

Worst experience I've ever been through. Terrible service all around from managers and customer service managers. Was told my matress and bed would be delivered the 7th of October. Got a call saying it would be the 14th.. no big deal. Bed arrives with the wrong matress. Nbd. Week after another matress was delivered correct one with stains. A week after correct matress delivered with a 5inch rip. Was told a Manger would check and mak e sure nothing was wrong before delivery. The matress arrives with another huge yellow stain. Cant make this up. Still waiting for correct matress. Wouldn't want anyone to ever have to deal with this. Good luck with the rude customer service manager

Out of a lot of everything. But the girl who helped me, Angelique, was a delight.
I really like the pieces we got, but the communication was poor and when we decided to get less than what we originally wanted not only was the sales associate rude to us, but so was the manager. We put a deposit down to “lock in” Labor Day pricing and we were told that we could buy pieces off that order whenever. All at once, one at a time, however we wanted to do it. It didn’t matter. We bought one thing off of the order (which was a breeze), two things on our order online because it was cheaper and easier, and then we called to buy a dresser off of our list and to close our deposit out because we changed our mind on the kitchen table and couches and not only did they not let us order the dresser at the “locked in” pricing, but it was 2 days of back and forth phone calls until the manager called and was extremely rude. If you’re going to shop at Ashley, i would shop online where the agents are much nicer. I’m extremely disappointed in the experience with the store.

Okay….where do I start, I spend over $3,000 on a three piece set it was delivered June 5th 2021 and don’t get me wrong it looks great. Well that’s where the good ends, we had issues with the recliner the same day it was delivered so I called to tell them the back it’s broken they told me they will send the new parts YES a new part NOT a new recliner they said it will take couple weeks well a month later I called again they said sorry it will take another month an I waited an waited an still nothing so I called many more times with no help! And now my sofa is having the same problem as I am with the recliner so I called again and I was told sorry there is no returns. So after spending so much on this set they will not replace it nor will they give me my money back!!! I HAVE TO SAY THIS IS BE THE ABSOLUTE LAST TIME I EVERY GET ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY’S AGAIN!!!!

Sucks, made a purchase a couple months ago and needed different legs for my bed frame they wanted me to purchase them. I was upset to have to pay triple for a mattress cover. Over priced and not too friendly.

The sales rep Kelly made our entire experience enjoyable not just during the sale but even after purchase. The item we purchased did not come with instructions! My fiance decided to assemble the bed any way but he was missing screws (so he thought). We called the store to speak to Customer Service about the issue. Never in a million years did we think we would receive a call back from Kelly. We just thought her job was done...she sold us the item now she's on to the next customer! But NOOOOO...she wanted to make it right for us even remembering that we no longer lived in the area. She sent us the instructions electronically and wouldn't you know it, we weren't missing any screws after all (well I can't say that's the case for my fiance. LOL..but I digress...). That type of customer service is INVALUABLE! For her to take time and patiently help us resolve the matter was above and beyond!! This is the main reason why we will be a repeat customer and of course using Kelly as our go to person for our future purchases with Ashley's!

If I could give no stars I would! I see you only accept and display the good reviews. They are pushy and don't let people just walk around and look. The love seat we purchased, the cushions are going flat already within a year and a half. The first bed we got was hard as a rock, well actually I would have rather slept on a rock! I was 8 months pregnant and they said we can return the bed at any time. They gave us a hard time returning it. We purchased another bed by then and it still is hard as a rock! We kept the bed because we didn't want to deal with the bs of returning it. We then purchased a recliner and it took forever for it to be delivered. Everytime I called about it they gave us the run around on that was going on. I will never again purchase from Ashely Furniture. Nothing but a headache!!!
The staff and management work as a team and even when my salesperson wasn’t available my self and my wife were taken care of professionally and made us feel comfortable. The transactions were smooth and they understood my needs and budget and never said No which was paramount in helping us make our decision and we were also very pleased with chooly as he worked hard to save us were he could. Management was exceptional and it’s very evident by the staff. So if you want that perfect buying experience look no further and visit the Team at Ashley and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Called the store and spoke with Rachel. She was very knowledgeable, very helpful and they had the piece I was looking for in their display. Even though I live in Pennsylvania, I would go back to this store in New Jersey again.

My husband and I have purchased furniture from Ashley’s Furniture in Phillipsburg multiple times now. We have had nothing but positive experiences each time, which is why we always go back. They have quality furniture, at an affordable price. They also offer great financing deals, which makes the process even more affordable. They also have a wide variety of choices for all different tastes and styles. We have experienced sales people following us around at other furniture stores which has made us feel rushed and uncomfortable, but we have never experienced this at Ashley’s. The sales people have great balance on allowing you to shop at your leisure in private, but being available for questions and suggestions, if needed. They are always very friendly and easy to deal with. We will always shop at Ashley’s for our future furniture shopping and would highly recommend!

I went to Ashley Furniture looking for a recliner for my dad. The prices were so good that I bought 3. 1 for my dad and 2 for me. There was no pressure. The sales lady Alicia Lowry was very helpful. She left me to browse but checked to see if I had questions. I will be back for a couple more items and I will ask for Alicia. To say the least I was very impressed. Can’t wait to get the new chairs.
On Sunday, October 4, 2020 at approximately 12:30 pm I entered the store to purchase 2 sets of bar chair. When I searched on the web the price stated that the set of 2 was $74.99. Once in the store the disoriented of staff sent me searching for the chairs myself. After I wasn’t able to find the items I asked another customer service rep within the store and he directed me back to the initial person who greeted me at the door. After looking for the item I showed the picture and he stated he would look for the item within the computer system. He stated to me that the item in the system was a different price and he would need to speak to his manager (Sheldon). The manger came over to me and ask to take a picture of the online price that was on my phone. I found this odd since he could have completed the search himself. I complied and allowed him to take the picture (which I will include in this complaint). He came back to me and stated that was the incorrect price. As I stated to him I didn’t create a website and the price should be granted based on what is online line. He declined and stated in a very nasty tone “that’s not going to happen and you may call whomever you want”. Customer service with the Ashley Home Store located at 1207 New Brunswick Ave, Phillipsburg NJ 08865 is horrible. I definitely will be leaving a review on ever outlet so people will shop elsewhere.
So Sheldon was awesome very knowledgeable and over all personal and helped us get the best price and we got a fantastic discount I would recommend going there for anybody. And Angelique was a great help finishing everything up for us good job overall.

Super disappointed and frustrated. I am very aware of the delays due to COVID and have been very flexible. We bought a couch and was told we were guaranteed delivery before Halloween, as I called to check in on the status, we’re now at mid-November. When expressing my frustration I pretty much got an “it is what it is” with a snarky attitude. Never again.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I will never order anything from them ever again. I ordered a couch in June and was told it would take 4-8 weeks to come in. I got a call saying it was in in August and scheduled it to be delivered. Two days before it was supposed to be delivered, and after we had already gotten rid of our old couch, I got a call saying they don't have the couch and won't have it until November. Now I am supposed to wait 2 months without a couch?? Customer service offered nothing to remedy the situation and I was basically told "too bad."

Went from raymour and Flanagan to OK this place and felt like I was at a flea market bazaar, stuff was everywhere...friendly staff but not for me...presentation is everything for me and cluttered furniture stores aren't.?
I had the most positive experience here yesterday and highly recommend using this store for anything you may be looking for. Their customer service is one of the friendliest and most helpful I have possibly ever encountered in any type of store. Kelly went so far out of her way to find exactly what I was looking for, and even had it moved up to the front of the store where it was waiting for me. She introduced me by name to Pepper who added some welcomed spunk and humor as she processed the payment. The manager, Sheldon, was very present, professional, and hands on. He and Kelly worked hard to try to fit the heavy purchase in to my car from just about every angle without a hint of frustration. Although this location is farther than many others for me, I will happily make the drive in the future because of the positive impression that’s been left by this staff.

I had a very unfortunate experience with the Ashley Furniture in Phillipsburg, NJ. I have been a customer with this chain for almost 20 years and after this experience I don’t know if I will ever use them again. I purchased a dining room set with 4 additional barstools. I noticed on the paper work when leaving there was only 2 barstools listed. I went back in the store to speak to the salesman, Q, who was accompanied by the manager. I was reassured by the salesman and manager, that the order was correct and there was two stools per carton. When the order was delivered only 2 barstools arrived. I called and left a message for the manger to discuss the situation as I was assured this would not be the case. I received a call back from the salesman saying that there was actually only 1 to a carton and only ordered two and need to order two more if I’d like a total of four barstools. I asked again for the manager to call me to discuss the situation. After multiple calls from the salesman in attempt to place the order for the additional barstools and a call from finance for my credit card there was still no call from the manager. I went into the store to resolve the issue. Pepper saved the day and helped me with the situation. She explained that the new salesman had made a mistake and she would help me rectify the issue. The manager was present at the store during the entire encounter and still would not come up to me to apologize or discuss the situation. If Pepper didn’t step in and resolve the situation professionally with her great customer service I can assure you I would never return to the store again.

I cannot say enough kind things about the entire staff at the Phillipsburg location. The first time I entered the store I was immediately greeted by “Q” who informed me about all the current promotions. Due to my “picky” Type A personality, the managers Tim and Sheldon stepped in to help with my questions that I am positive the average person does not ask, right down to fabrics, cushion density, and specific quality aspects. They truly understood my personality, and gave me all the information I needed and then some. When I couldn’t decide that night, I came back another day, and was helped by Angelique who contributed her laid back, down to earth personality, which instantly alleviated my stress. When I couldn’t decide yet again I was invited back to the re-opening sale. I found a couch online I thought may work, and at that time I was able to ask Brooke about it. She graciously offered me her time and details on what the couch would look and feel like to completely ease my concern of buying online. She was extremely educated on all design aspects, and without thought even offered to bring a pillow back from the Toms River location so I could see and feel the material. I finally made my decision with the couch online, and despite being the last person in the store Q, Sheldon, Angelique, and Tim all continued to make me feel welcome and never rushed me. They were even accommodating with matching online pricing. The next day I drove to the Toms River location and was greeted by Pete who showed me the couch I had bought the day before. In spite of me telling him I already bought it at a different location, he stuck around to answer even more questions I had stating how everyone at Ashley just wanted to make sure I was happy. This is a phrase I heard over and over again at the Phillipsburg location as well. As a pain I am sure I was, I never once felt that way to the staff. They were kind, extremely patient, let me roam when I needed it and sat and answered my crazy questions when I needed it. They absolutely overextended themselves on customer service and price, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. At this point I feel like family.
I had such an amazing buying experience at Ashley Homestore in Phillipsburg NJ. Not only did I find excellent pieces to add to my home the sales staff went above and beyond to help me out with a return on a purchase I made online (yes .. they are VERY different) . Buying online was an unbelievable hassle and I was not happy with my purchase. The staff got the answers I needed within the hr. Their knowledge and advice was so impressive . And I only found that out after playing phone tag for at least three hours each time and being hung up on by several different people. Don’t shop here if you actually want to receive the furniture you pay for. The ONLY up side to this store (Phillipsburg, NJ) is Pepper who is sincerely pleasant to deal with.

go anywhere else beside this store. over charge you on other ends when lying to you that you are getting a deal . their delivery system is terrible . also do not fall for their bs insurance on items . just a scam to get you back into their store that , I am sure you will regret . never returning, go to Raymore and Flannigan , or a Truck on a side of street would be better then this place .

We had a very pleasant experience purchasing a sectional sofa at the Phillipsburg, NJ store. We subsequently went to every possible furniture store and realized we got the best sofa for the best price at Ashley by far. The credit application was easy & quick.y only complaint is I have to wait 3 weeks for delivery, but that's due to the popularity of the sofa & the great sale.
Not great selection, almost all of the couches were stiff and not comfortable. No color or fabric options other than what you see on the floor. Earliest delivery was 1 month after purchase. The day before the delivery date they call to let me know half of it won’t be in stock and delivered till 2 more months after that. 3 months for a sectional couch and coffee table!

Sales lady did not push us to any couches we were not interested. Communication was great. Couch was delivered on time. Delivery guys were good. Couch should do well for us.

Shopping for furniture can be a frustrating experience, but working with Angelique made it a pleasant experience. She was very attentive and extremely knowledgeable especially in regards to mixing different patterns and color combinations. She was very helpful without being intrusive, and stayed with us even until the end to make sure everything went smoothly . I will definitely be back to shop for the rest of our new home
Salesman talked me into buying a $1600 mattress that was in sale for $600.. so I bought this sealy mattress and after laying on it for 3 months our backs have never hurt this bad and we are sleeping in a hole. We HATE it. Paid $75 for a 10 year warrantee for the repair man to come out and tell me we don't rotate out mattress... its only been 3 month I don't see how that could be the issue. I should have just went with the $300 mattress it would probably be the same quality.. so disappointed. And thats not even saying anything about their horrid delivery drivers I’ll spare you that story..
Went to the Phillipsburg store several times before I was able to decide on the living room furniture I was going to buy. Kelly worked with my family the last two times I was there and tonight we bought our furniture!!! She is amazing and knows so much about the products and the inventory!!! The entire experience AFTER making the purchase was the most horrible struggle! The entire living room set was left in the garage in boxes and not assembled day of delivery. Three days of fighting with customer service finally got us an appointment for assembly an entire week after that! Ashley Furniture wanted to charge us hundreds of dollars to return it or hundreds of dollars to have it assembled. Finally after everything was assembled and put in the living room, the furniture is falling apart. And it has been ONE YEAR! It has been even more of a struggle to have them return and repair the furniture that is under warranty. Ashley Furniture is actively fighting us to not do the warranty repairs. Recommend to a friend: NO Recommend to an enemy: NO Recommend you turn and run from them: YES

Terrible experience. They rescheduled delivery on half of my couch 3 times, which means i currently have half of a couch. Most likely returning for refund, as I dont like to deal with clueless sales staff.
This is a good place because of the financing. 5 year free financing is awesome. We payed extra incase there was damage. When we got a tear on our couch they said it wasnt covered. It clearly states on paper that it was. Also check everything when they deliver your product. Lots of times its scratched up or damaged in some way.
However delightful and easy our in-store shopping experience was, it was certainly offset by the excessive lead time and changes in our furniture delivery date. When expecting the first delivery confirmation call, two days before delivery, after the initial expected 4 week wait, we were told an additional 2 weeks was necessary, as our couch was backordered. A second delivery confirmation call came and we were met with an additional week's wait for our delivery. We are very patient people but communicating the possibility of backorders and incomplete shipments to the store location far sooner, would have allowed us to plan accordingly and not be left without furniture for 3 weeks.
I had a super great salesman Cholly. Days before I went to store to see a bedroom set my family saw on line . I went to see it. Cholly greeted me at door I told him why I was there . We saw they set but I explored and found the one that best fit the feel of my French 1940 antique set that did not make my move . Cholly said it was more. I told him I would be back mon with daughter. Sun not knowing name of set to see on line I called the store to see if he could help another sets name given which fit one I wanted but close to it. Cholly tried I said see you tomorrow. Mon I went with my daughter and 2 granddaughters ages 3,6. Cholly was wonderful with them. We saw set they picked and one I felt it fit with some furniture I had . After awhile my daughter said get the one you like best and I did. Cholly did not pressure one way or other he just said one about 3-400 more .truly honest the girls hugged him good bye great experience Cholly Cholly

My husband and I made our first large furniture purchase with Ashely home store of phillipsburg and unfortunately have had HORRIBLE service. The buying process was fine and even delightful. However, ever since we left the store and spent 4K and waited for our furniture it has been a nightmare. We were promised our nightstand would be delivered with our original delivery but it didn’t come (no big deal). However, our one dresser was built poorly, the drawers did not slide correctly, and the wood had a chip. Mind you we bought “the best” of the “good, better, best” options. We had to jump through hoops to get a replacement. Then a month later when the replacement was finally delivered, along with our nightstand, the drawer is still not sliding properly, my husband had to finish screwing in the feet, AND the nightstand is wobbly and not built properly. This has truly been an awful experience and we are beyond disappointed with the service of Ashley home furniture. We spent 4 thousand dollars and I expect to have furniture and service that reflects that. I can’t wait to spend more time on the phone with the service department tomorrow to have to file yet another complaint. Long story short, if you’re looking for quality furniture, shop elsewhere.
The salesman Chally was very helpful in helping us buy a new couch and ottoman. He provided us with all the necessary measurements we needed and also explained the various features of the couches and ottomans we were considering. Would definitely go back if we need any more furniture.

The customer service experience in the store has always been very good. There were some issues with delivery that previous would have resulted in a much lower rating, but the manager at the Phillipsburg store helped to remedy that a bit. I would shop there again.

absolutely the worst experience in furniture buying- not the best as they claim. They have rescheduled my furniture delivery 4 times now- after I sat home for the 4 hour time window. Will not work around my work schedule and don’t even care. I have yet to see all my furniture but and I am already paying the 4 grand bill for it . Such a disappointment . You also need managers that have been trained to deal with situations and not just dance around the fact they don’t know how to find a solution to a major problem.

This has become an extremely frustrating experience. It started out as a 5 star review. It has since decreased to 1 star. We didn't have our sofa for a full 24 hours before it broke. We were told that a part would be sent in 7-10 business days. Once we had the part we could then schedule a tech to come out. Mind you. We paid cash. Bought an extensive amount of furniture. Didn't have the sofa for even a full day. Yet nothing extraordinary was done to rectify our situation. As a matter of fact, after 10 business days had passed and we still had no part delivered, we were then told that it would be another 15 business days for the part. 15 MORE business days on top of the 10 we already wasted. Again. Nothing expedited. No sense of urgency. We had to continue to call and follow up. Horrible customer service. I called the store and spoke to a manager. He guaranteed a return call before close of business that same day. The end of the day was drawing closer, so I made another phone call. Only to find out that the manager must not have actually spoken to anyone in the department that handles the furniture exchange. I found out that the person who does that scheduling wasn't even in. So I was transferred back over to the same manager. He ASSURED me that I would get a call before close of business the next day. I asked for the name of the manager on duty for that day. Waited until almost close of business hoping for my guaranteed call. Did not get it. Called the store again. The manager from the night before had not informed this manager of the situation. So had I not called AGAIN I would not have received that assured phone call. So.... We have a sofa that we have fully paid for. It does not work. It is broken so we can not use it. It will have to sit in our living room for over a month before our, hopeful, scheduled exchange. And there have been no apologies. There's been no offer of expediting this resolution. If I had it to do all over again, my money would be spent at a different furniture store. I am extremely disappointed in Ashley Furniture.

Staff was friendly. Couch was nice. However the prices are very high. Then two days before it was supposed to be delivered they found out my couch was going to be delayed a week because it wasnt in stock, which they should have known in the beginning so I could have purchased something else. Then when they were ready to deliver it, the couch was set up to be delivered in the late pm hours between 2-5 which makes no sense we should have been first priority since they already messed up.
Will not be shopping here again. We placed an order for a dining room table during the Presidents Day sale promotion & made our delivery date for March 27th (today). My husband and I realized that we had not received a call for delivery so we decided to drop in to ask as we saw on our paperwork that they put down December 25, 2049 for our delivery date. When we spoke to customer service they explained to us that the table wasn't available to deliver until after April 6th even though we were told when we first went in that we would get it March 27th. They told us April 6th was the only day for delivery as the rest of April was booked, we had to unfortunately except this date & now must wait an extra week when we have already waited a month & a half for this item. If they changed our delivery date they should have called us to notify us, we were not told that our "delivery" date was just when the product would possibly be in. The sales person themselves told us that it would be delivered to us on March 27th. This is not the first instance that us & one of our friends have experienced not getting our item on the actual placed delivery date. Will not be coming back here again.

Thanks Phillipsburg Ashley!! You guys rock! I purchased a bedroom set for around 4K on sale!!! I thought it seem high, but I was asked “when was the last time you bought a bedroom set?”. 25 years ago was the answer. Looked also at Raymour, but did not find anything I Liked. Went back to Ashley in Phillipsburg and purchased. I came home that night, excited about my new furniture. Until I searched for a picture of it online. I found it. Same exact set, same manufacturer, for $1100 less!!!! Including delivery! I went back to my contract from Ashley and I am stuck. No cancellation or returns.
Update: They agreed to return our sectional for us. Although this was still a frustrating purchase, I am happy with the resolution and the helpfulness of the Phillipsburg store Manager, Rachel. I have never been more disappointed with a purchase in my life. This is going to be a long one so pop your popcorn and freshen your drink. We ordered a sectional in late November. We were given a delivery date 3 weeks later, which was fine, and got rid of our old couch 2 days before delivery in preparation for the new one. I got a voicemail shortly after disposing of the old one saying “sorry but you are not scheduled for delivery this Friday” with no explanation whatsoever. Obviously very upset because I now have no couch, I went into the store to talk to the manager to see why and when we can reschedule. She was very helpful and apologetic. Turns out only 3 pieces were available (2 of them being console pieces which means not actual seats) and the rest wasn’t in yet. This happened to me THREE more times... finally getting the last piece in January- two months after I ordered it. I had no couch for Christmas and I had guests for the holidays; that was inconvenient. Twice during these piece-by-piece deliveries they delivered broken pieces. The second time that a broken piece was delivered they elected to mail us a new reclining mechanism instead of a whole new piece and then have someone come out and install it for us. That was done in February (3 months after I purchased at this point). I thought I was finally done with issues. Not so. They left the old mechanism here for me to deal with (huge, not easy to dispose of). At this point I actually felt bad about calling back because of how many issues I’ve had; I felt like an annoyance. They sent someone out to get the broken piece. I realized afterwards that the new mechanism doesn’t even have the connector slots in it to connect to the rest of the sectional, which the old one obviously did. I could get past all these issues if at least I was happy with the quality of the couch. Unfortunately I cannot say that I am. It’s painfully clear that it’s extremely cheaply made. I didn’t look under the couch at the store because well, who does, but after seeing it while cleaning under them it’s much cheaper made and flimsy than my old couch or any other couch I’ve had. The entire thing is... hollow, for lack of a better term. It squeaks loudly whenever anyone moves and the furniture shifts side to side with movement. For reference, my entire family is pretty small so it’s definitely not a weight-limit issue. The pieces don’t stay connected together because the pegs only just barely sit inside the slots for them. Whenever one of the recliners are used, they disconnect from the one beside it. The cup holder pieces pull out easily (not an intentional feature I’m sure), revealing a hole where you can see straight to the floor. Very odd to me. For something we spent thousands of dollars on I am very disappointed. The woman we spoke with on the phone and the manager are very nice, though, so I guess there’s that....

I bought a bedroom set and a living room set in this store. I had a lots of bad experience after that. First, They made a mistake on the delivery date. I took day off waiting whole day, the delivery truck didn't show. I called, the answer was just only because Ashley delivery truck is not go through our address that day. Second, they made a mistake on color of the livingroom set. Third, they said $189 must be charged when shipping back the livingroom set to them, even it was because of wrong color. Finally I have to pay $189 to return the livingroom set. Sorry, I'll never be Ashley again.

Do not buy from this store, they are a bunch of crooks, they will sell you a worthless product backed with a worthless warranty, I bought a sofa from them that deteriorated real fast, I thought luckily, I bought a 5 year warranty to bail me out, boy was I wrong, their customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with, they have all kinds of loop holes to shield them from paying out that warranty, I will never buy an Ashley product if it were given to me for a buck.

My husband and I were in about 2 weeks ago, and bought a beautiful sectional. Our salesperson was Kelly Donahue and she was so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and charming! I went to the Phillipsburg, NJ Ashley furniture store on the 21st of June with my wife and son, to look and possibly buy some furniture for our house. We were met at the front door by Sharon who spent a better part of 2 hours showing us around the store and the many varieties they have in stock. All the sales associates were pleasant and very knowledgeable. Kayla and Matt. It was 900pm closing time but Sharon did not rush us or want us to settle on something we would regret. We ended up buying a living room set along with a bed. We will be back to buy more as Kelly the store manager really shows that she not only loves her job but cares for her customers. My Ashley furniture experience since purchasing has been a disaster. I was promised that my delivery would be complete when I purchased my sectional and kitchen table. The day before delivery I was called that my ottoman would not deliver on time. I than received my delivery with a damaged sectional which I’m still waiting to have replaced. And the table is pitting (chipping of the finish) on the ends and the chairs were damaged on delivery and rather than replace I was sent parts to have a repair guy come fix. Still frustrated with Ashley furniture I called today(6/6/18) to express my displeasure with them and was offered a $75 gift card to Ashley furniture. I would not recommend anyone spend their money at Ashley furniture you will be disappointed with their products.
On Friday 6/1 we went to Ashley's to find a new couch. We were helped by Theresa, she made the experience wonderful. She answered all my questions, helped me search for the perfect couch and was just a joy to work with in trying to find what I wanted. I would reccomend 100%.

Beware of this store !!! Falsely advertise their furniture. Fair Ridge Console price tag read $519. I spoke to a salesperson about this piece wondering if it came in a different color. She looked it up online and this appeared to be the only color it's made in, which by the way is more gray then brown. I took a photo of the piece, pondered upon the buy, measured my area at home and went back to the store to buy this at a different day only to discover the price tag was almost $1000. I showed the salesperson my photo of the furniture with the previous price tag and I received lip service from a manager and "I'm sorry Maam but that was way under priced before and I'm not sure how that happened and we can't sell it to you for that price." If this is the way you treat your customers then I certainly do not want any part of doing business with you in the near future and advise the public to beware. I dont know about anyone else but in my eyes this is a prime example of false advertisement.

We were not bothered or chased around the showroom. Matthew McKay was courteous and helpful with our questions. We bought dining room and outdoor furniture. The store manager was also available for any other needs we had. Overall good experience.

My wife and I went to this store with the intention of getting a couple of pieces for our new home, but ended up buying all of what we needed, in no small part to the amazing help we got from Cholly. We were just blown away with the royal treatment Cholly gave us. Hes was kind, patient and very accommodating, from the moment we entered the store, through all of our questions, to the moment we left, making the whole experience perfect for us.

I visited this store after having a traumatizing experince in another Ashley store. Cholly was a great help. He took the time to understand our needs. He directed us to what we needed and saved us a lot of time. He gave us helpful feedback about the products. The store has a great collection and the staff is very friendly. I didn’t feel any pressure and the process went very smooth. We ended up furnishing the entire house from there. The prices were reasonable and the products were quality. Delivery was on time and the communication process was fantastic. I would recommend this store and Cholly to anyone and will do business with them again.

I had a great experience at this Ashley store. Sixta was my sales person and she was excellent. She answered all of my questions and was very helpful to me as well as friendly and courteous. The manager, Kelly and several of the other sales people there were also very courteous.
My husband and I purchased couches for our new home. We also spent a good deal of money on a platinum protection plan. The plan covered the couches and chair for 5 years. We now have covers on the couch and loveseat (the chair is a different brand/fabric). The fabric has ripped, frayed and pulled. The slightest snag will cause the fabric to unravel and tear. The couch also has a board in the center than needs to be adjusted. I called the warranty company today who said they couldn’t help me. I was told that was considered wear and tear. The couch is barely 2 years old and we aren’t even halfway through the warranty. I was told the warrenty covered mechanical breaks for sofas with recliners (which we didn’t even buy),burn marks or large rips. Soooo basically... I have a better chance of getting help if I set fire to the couches or rip it open with a pair of scissors? The representative was very rude. When I asked to speak with someone else I was told there wasn’t anyone else to speak with. I was put on a “call back list”. I’m usually a very calm reasonable person. Please don’t try and tell me that a 2 year old couch and loveseat is expected to fall appart like this after 2 years. That is not “normal wear and tear”.
I went to Ashley furniture looking for a sectional. I was helped by one of the sales associates Sixta she was very pleasant and helpful. She went out of her way and above and beyond to help me pick out the perfect set. She even helped me look for other Furniture even though I was not ready to purchase that . I was going to come back later that night to pay for the sectional that I had picked out. But before I left the manager Kelly was extremely rude all she wanted to do was getting rid of the furniture that I was trying to buy and basically told me that I better come back tonight to get it and then they would not be delivering it. I told her that I would need time to find a way to get the furniture from the store to my home and I was told that it needed to be done that night. Although I was giving an extremely good deal do to the way that I was treated by the manager I decided not to return to purchase the furniture that I had picked out.
Would highly recommend Ashley furniture and mostly Kelly Donahue! A real pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was patient with all our questions and full of product knowledge. Her suggestions for arranging our furniture and help with room design really pulled it all together. We will be back!

Have bought many pieces of furniture here and everything is solid. I'd definitely try to hit a sale because they have them frequently. They offer 5 year insurance on many purchases, I recommend buying it because you get it as a credit anyway if you don't use it. Very friendly people. Ashley I was fantastic; so friendly and helpful.

The worst furniture anything place. Rude store Employees always texting on their phone having side convos so rude was going to purchase a sofa and loveseat set with a new coffee table lamps etc BUT went to Raymour Flanagan — will never recommend this place and will tell all my co workers and friends NEVER to go here!!!!!! As for customer service, the person I bought furniture from was wonderful and the people who delivered the furniture were fast and professional. The reason for the three star review is that a few days after my order was placed, I get a notification that my chair would be arriving at a later date(I think okay that sucks but I can live) so a couple days later I get another call saying the couch would have to arrive on a later date and I think man, they are really dropping the ball on this one. Day before delivery I get another call say that now on top of the chair and couch combo not arriving, now the headboard for my bed will also not be arriving. I spent over 5000 on furniture and the warehouse kept messing up the delivery process. Today the scheduled for the later date and now I will not be receiving these items until the 20th of this month when I bought it almost a month in advance. I just think that’s ridiculous and I will not be returning or giving my future business to the store. UPDATE: the delivery day finally came, literally a month after I placed the orginal order and they still found a way to mess it up. I’m the head board that I ordered came but was lacking crucial components in assembling it. I called the customer service and they told me they couldn’t get to me for another two weeks to bring me the parts, I said that wasn’t acceptable and they offered to mail it and said it could take 5-7 business days. I was fed up and said just take the headboard back, I want a refund. Which they didn’t comply to, they assured me that the bolts for the furniture would be there by the next day. But I call and they said it’s actually scheduled for the next day. I tell them I’m dissapointed with the service the company provided to me, they said okay. No apologies. I’m just done, I will never return to this company and I regret going.

Horrible Experience. Should have listened to the Yelp reviews and stayed away. If I could give it less than a star I would. Ordered a sofa and had a scheduled delivery four weeks later. Seemed like a long time but I went with it and took off of work. Was told I would be contacted three days before to confirm. Called two days before because no one contacted me, and was told the sofa was on back order for another week. Awful customer service, transferred me several times before I could get someone that could even tell me what was going on, and when I finally was transferred to a manager she talked to me like a child. They just gave me the usual "we're sorry for this inconvenience" line, and offered to reschedule the delivery day. Waiting to see what happens next, but I cannot recommend enough to STAY AWAY no matter how good the deal looks like you're getting.
Horrible experience, my wife and I visited the store earlier tonight with my young child and daughter and was not acknowledged at all, we walked through the entire store and was not greeted once by any of the sales agent that was walking the floor, my wife and I had already did our search online for the living room set we was looking for and was ready to purchase just wanted to see what it looked like in person as online always tend to look differ, we wasn't able to find what we was looking for on the floor so decided to wait in line and ask one of the ladies behind the counter where it may be in the showroom but wasn't acknowledged at all after standing there for almost 5-10 mins, while some of the workers laughed and joked and carried on conversations like we wasn't standing there, so after waiting for one of the ladies to finish the transaction I came up to the counter to ask the simple question of where we could locate the piece on the floor only to be told that someone was next before us, I had just about enough as I could take and walked out with my family and decided to drive to another Ashley Furniture store where we was greeted warmly from the time we entered the door and the sales representative answered every question that we had, and even informed us that the couch we were looking for was online only, however she showed us similar couches that they had in the showroom, which we ultimately ended up purchasing (in cash) one of the living room sets that she showed us in addition a new bedroom set as well which we didn't initially go in the store for but loved the sales rep personality and we will be going back in a couple weeks to purchase a dining room set. What the other store didn't know was that my wife and I just finished building a new house and was looking to furnish our entire house, but I guess one store loss is another store gain. Haha never judge a book by its cover!

Went there on Labor Day with my wife to buy a new sofa and love seat for our formal living room. We were immediately greeted by Kelly (store Manager) was very quick to show us around but we happened to luckily know what we wanted. After quickly paying the price we wanted, it seemed like Kelly was done with us and did not even shake my hand goodbye. Come the day before delivery day, we were notified that our delivery time would be between 3:30 and 7:30pm. I work until 5pm so that was going to be a rush for me to get home and I can not leave early. I called the store and spoke to Kelly again (Store Manager) and they assured me that they had spoken to the warehouse and I would be the last stop that night and they stated it would be between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm delivery time which would have worked out perfectly. The day of delivery, I was at work with a client when I got a phone call at 3:50 stating that the driver was 20 minutes away. I had to leave the client I was with (I am in sales and commission based so I lost that sale) and ask to leave. I called the store and spoke to Kelly again and asked her if the driver could wait an additional 10 minutes and she called and stated that they would. So I left work early and arrived home and no one was there. I waited an additional 15 minutes and still no one arrived. I called Kelly back and with an attitude, she stated that they went to another stop and would be back to me. (I thought I was the last stop according to Kelly????) After calling Kelly, she rudely stated "You wanted delivery between 6pm and 8pm anyway so now you got it" Thanks a lot. The point was I couldnt leave work early and cost me more financially. The drivers (nicest guys ever) finally arrived at 6:45! Long story short, once Kelly gets the sale she stops caring about the client. REMEMBER KELLY. CLIENTS MAKE YOU MONEY!!! Reviews go a long way and so does referrals. I wouldn't buy anything from Kelly again!

Received a very rude call from store manager, Kelly, after placing an order with a sales associate the day prior. Kelly advised that she was reviewing the prior days orders and that I had applied store credit to my order; however she stated the problem was I had no such credit, she copped an attitude and stated that I was supposed to order a new living room coffee table. Then started interrogating where my current coffee table was and why I waited until now to use my (non-existent) credit because I was issued the credit earlier this year. I explained that the table that I initially ordered and liked broke, customer service ordered a replacement, when the replacement came in the table top didn't fit on the frame, customer service then ordered another replacement, when the replacement came in the table top was warped, customer service then tried to order another replacement, and the table was discontinued and I was issued a credit. I also advised that I still had the voicemail from ashley customer service stating that I had a credit that could be used for any living room item. Additionally, I told kelly that I had checked several times with her ashley store to make sure that the credit was issued and did not expire. After all of this explanation, I asked kelly if everything was okay with my order and she stated, for now and that she needed to contact accounting to make sure they acknowledge my credit. Completely unprofessional. Trying to strong arm clients and lie about not having store credit. If I didn't have the proof, I don't think they would've applied the credit to my order because Kelly was pretending it didn't exist and stated that I needed to reorder the same table, which if she had bothered to check instead of harassing me she would've seen was discontinued. Due to the complete lack of professionalism and how rude and accusatory Kelly was on the phone they have lost my business.
Went in about a year ago and, told the salesman I was just looking. He continued to follow me around, asking if I had any questions. After about the 6th time that I told him I was just looking, I just walked out after telling him why. Today I figured I'd try again. Told the already I was just browsing and once again was followed around for over 15 minutes. Had to walk out again. Will never return there.
Very disappointed with the customer service experience. When I order I told lady that I want exactly the same setup you have in your store on displace and everything included but was deliver something different . I went to store today and showed the lady the picture what I ordered and experience with her was not good and she told other crew member to cancel my order that was unprofessional . I just bought new home and ordered my bedrooms furniture from there but from now will not shop from Ashley .

The store sells the furniture protection warranty plan which is a scam. After buying a 5 year warranty, when an accident has been reported after two and a half years, they disallow the claim saying that there is usage wear on the table. Is that not strange that when a table is used for 3 years, it will have some usage marks - they are not damages. Why sell 5 year protection plans when the normal usage wear would make you disallow the claim??? Stay away from buying these plans as the store guys push hard for you to buy them.

Worst furniture EVER MADE. My brand new bed was squeaking like crazy the first time we slept on it. It is very unsturdy and wobbles to this day. I dealt with that for a while then I decided to take it apart and try to fix it. Turns out it is a design flaw and theres nothing that can be done to fix it. I noticed all the reviews on the website are gone as well.The furniture LOOKS good but it is an illusion, it's complete junk. It is made out of cardboard underneath the illusion of nice wood. The bed is an absolute joke. Now to the reclining sofa, the stitching was coming out popping out after 5 months, I call the warranty company guess what? It's not covered, and the sales lady told me any and everything is covered which is a complete lie. She also told me it covers if dogs ruin the furniture, which is DOESNT. I specifically asked her if it covers damage by nails/teeth of a dog because I had a 6 month old puppy at the time and she said YES everything even if they pee too. Come to find out they ONLY cover pee, lol who calls a warranty company to clean up pee? What should I leave it there for a week until the warranty company comes with soap and a rag? The sales people are shady and will say whatever they need to get you to buy the furniture and try to upsell the warranty and they say EVERYTHING is covered but in reality NOTHING is. I bought wall decor for the bedroom and the fake wrought iron broke. The warranty honors NOTHING it is a complete scam. I spent well over $3000 because I furnished my entire house. I regret everything I bought, even the dining room chairs have wood splintering at the screws. This is literally the cheapest furniture available, I wish I bought antique or went to Raymour and Flanigan. The only reason I went here was for the 0% financing for 5 years, NOW I KNOW WHY. Run from this store and buy solid antique or go to a real furniture store, even BOBs is bettter.

Furniture that falls apart and a warranty that doesn't cover ANYTHING. Salepeople who lie and management who laugh when you complain. The absolute worst bunch of highway robbers out there.
Went in to look for coffee and end table found one we liked but even at 52% off sale was 800. Walked to rows down and found same set priced at 400. Sales person took to manger and manager said he could never sell to use for lower price it wad a mistake. And yet if we haf found that one first what would the outcome be? Total scam very disappointed especially since we send alot of people there.

found the Ashley pieces I wanted on the internet. Printed the quote off the internet, went to the Phillipsburg store. They would not honor the internet quote. The price online included taxes and shipping. The quote at the store was $500 more than the online quote, this is for the same exact pieces. Yes online does take about 1 week longer for delivery. They would not even include the delivery, I live about 15 minutes from the store. The rude young lady at the desk must of been having a bad night. Since I did want the furniture before Thanksgiving I went across the highway to Raymour and Flanigan. They honored the price online to a very similar set. Mind you this wasn't even their brand. Love my new pieces and they are being delivered free on Saturday morning. Thank you Dave at Raymour and Flanigan. Ashley, I am currently redecorating my entire home, I will not be back.

WHERE DO I BEGIN? MY WIFE AND I BOUGHT 2 DIFFERENT BEDROOM SETS. SPENT OVER $5000 TOTAL. WE AGREED NOT TO PURCHASE THE 2 SETS THAT DAY, OR SO WE THOUGHT. WE WANTED TO CHECK WITH RAYMOUR AND FLANIGAN BUT THE SALESPERSON CHRIS G. SAID HE WOULD DISCOUNT THE 2 SETS AND GIVE US A GREAT DEAL TO STOP OUR SHOPPING. THE DELIVERY TOOK 1 MONTH TO FIND ITS WAY TO MY HOUSE WHICH WE WERE PROMISED 2 - 3 BUSINESS DAYS ONCE IT CAME IN. MY WIFE AND I NOTICED THAT ONCE IT WAS DELIVERED, WE WERE MISSING MY CHILD'S TALL DRESSER. LATER WE FOUND OUT THAT THE DISCOUNT WE RECEIVED WAS DUE TO THE FACT THAT CHRIS G. DECIDED TO JUST TAKE THAT OFF THE INVOICE. SO THATS HOW WE RECEIVED A DISCOUNT. WE THOUGHT WE PAYED AND WERE RECEIVING 2 COMPLETE BEDROOM SETS. I CALLED, EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPEN, AND NO ONE WOULD HELP. NOT CHRIS G. AND NOR HIS SALES MANAGER. GAVE THIS COMPANY MORE THAN 1 WEEK TO MAKE IT RIGHT AND NO ONE HELPED OR DID WHAT WAS RIGHT. I ALSO CALLED CORPORATE AND THEY HAD EXPLAINED THEY COULD NOT HELP AS WELL. I HOPE THIS CAUSES AWARENESS TO THOSE WHO CONSIDER PURCHASING FROM THIS COMPANY. MY ADVICE IS DO NOT GO THERE! We had a very pleasant experience with the staff at Ashley Furniture. They people we were dealt with were very helpful, informative and didn't hound us while we took our time trying to decide on the perfect pieces of furniture for our home. I highly recommend this store, not just for the staff, but the prices, as well.
Worst customer experience. We recently moved to the area and were looking to purchase a couch that would fit into our complex. I expressed this to the sale rep (Chris Ebel) that was trying to sell us a couch, he ASSURED me that they could take the feet off the couch and everything would be fine. I asked if it didn't fit would we be able to get a refund and he said 'we'll take care of you' Low and behold the couch got to our house and it didn't fit. When I called Ashely Furniture to resolve the issue I spoke with the front desk person and the assistant manager all resisting to resolve the issue, staking a claim that I was lying and that the sales rep never said that.They also said I should have measured the space when the sales rep suggested no such thing. I will never shop at a single one of these stores again. Thanks Ashley Furniture!

Price was good but was lied to about delivery times. Was told by the manager maybe 2 weeks it has now been over a month and I just got a call today saying it will take longer. I will never shop here again and I'd advise you not to either. To help my situation they offered me a $75 rebate. I'm surprised this place is still in business

If you are thinking to go to this place I recommend not too.I bought two furniture and they never came to my house.I called them and they told me they can't contact the shipping company. There is also two people in the truck Mabey more.they can answer the phone.I went to the store and asked for the manger. I asked the manager If she can contact the shipping company.this is what she said"I don't know"i though managers are supposed to be responsible,respectful but this one was Not.they told me they would give me a check for my money and till this day I still don't have my money😡😡😡

Changed delivery multiple times, making me wait weeks after moving to get furniture. The movers came, and delivered the furniture at separate time making it inconvient. They also pre assembled a tv stand incorrectly making me take it apart and put it together correctly. 1/10. 2/10 with rice.

My experience with Ashley store in Phillipsburg was great. The representatives' and the prices were also great (caught the 50 +10 percent off sale). The furniture was a good quality and the warranty for damage and/or replacement was great. I have referred them to all my family and friends.
i needed to replace two sofas in our family room. i found the selection larger and nicer than i could imagine. the staff was excellent and knew the products. the price was better than i expected. no complaints and i will shop there again

Shopped at the Phillipsburg PA Ashley Furniture Store a few weeks ago. The selection was quite large and there was a price range for everyone. The sales person was very knowledgeable, helpful and patient as we tried out almost every couch/loveseat combination in the store. I would definitely recommend Ashley Furniture Store.
Their customer service is awful, extended warranty is a joke, and have been waiting for a "prompt" phone call from a manager for a week now. Have sent numerous emails and no response I will not recommend anyone get things from this store as the sales personal lie to their customers about the warranty and refuse to answer for their mistakes.
I think the store has very nice things and the people are very friendly I will say that you should visit this store if you haven't. The prices are good

I have been using Ashley Furniture for a number of years and usually use the Ledgewood Store. I happened to be in Phillipsburg and knew exactly what I was looking for. I'm not moving until July so I wasn't sure if they would be able to help me. As usual they were wonderful ... I ordered the furniture, paid the price it was during the sale going on and got the free shipping offered. All I have to do is let them know when I will be in my new apartment and the furniture will be delivered. Extremely helpful sales staff. I won't shop in any other furniture store!

When I moved to my current location, I needed to buy new living room furniture. I had a choice between two stores, Ashley being one of them. From the get go, I know Ashley's was the place for me. Their staff was extremely helpful and not pushy at all. And their prices just couldn't be beat. Very happy with my furniture. And when my friend said he needed new furniture, I steered him towards Ashley. Now he too is a happy purchasers of Ashley Furniture.

This is the first piece we have purchased from Ashley. Our Sales woman, June K. was terrific...very helpful, patient and she knew her stuff!. She showed us ever sectional in the store and made recommendations based on our room's size and layout. She was spot on-- sectional is perfect and we love it! Sooo comfortable! Delivery was great too-- arrived early and were neat, courteous and quick.
Even though I made it clear that I was "just looking" the sales rep was still very helpful in narrowing down my search. He even offered me a bottle of water! (it was hot, humid day!). Very friendly store!

I recently purchased a sectional sofa from Ashley. This was my first time making a purchase at an Ashley, and it definitely will not be my last. The sofa seems to be very well made, and the price was also excellent. We searched high and low for the perfect sofa for months before deciciding on this one, and it was, by far, the best quality and value out of everything we've seen. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would definitely reccommend Ashley to anyone looking for nice, solid furniture at a good price.

We recently bought a King bed from this store. Service was very good. We were assisted by John. He was very friendly and patient. He was also very helpful post purchase when we had some issues with the bed, with some good suggestions and alternatives. I would highly recommend shopping in this store.

Really good sale, but when I went to pick up my chair it was damaged. They reordered and I got it a week later.
This Ashley store has great selection and very friendly and helpful staff. My understanding is, different Ashley stores are independently owned and therefore they don't all carry the same selections. I have been to other Ashley stores and it was very disappointing. But this store's selection are great and I really love it! I would come back again for sure if I am shopping for other furniture.
Black Friday at Ashley Furniture was awesome! I received a $50 gift card for just walking in the door and bought a sofa for half the ticket price. My salesperson was especially friendly and helpful, even though it was before sunrise. Definitely a pleasant experience!
When we first walked in the store, we were greeted by the friendly store sales agent. And right away he took us to what we were looking for. We also found a couch that we really like and since it is discontinued, the store manager was able to gave us a great discount and we were very happy that it was the price we had in our budget. In all, i purchase 4000 dollar worth furniture from this place. Tom in sales is good. Got the best deals possible and was never forcing us to buy something just for the sake. He was knowledgible, and willing to offer honest advise. The store does have some good deals on good models and it was a nice experience both the times.

Our sales man was great. He moved loveseats and chairs for me. He swaped out lamps and gave us his input on what tv stand would go best with our new furniture.

The employees were very helpful and knowledgeable without being intrusive. They introduced themselves right away, pointed out a few things and then let me shop without hovering. Once I found the couch I was interested in, they were knew all of the applicable deals that were going on and explained each to me fully. I'll be looking for furniture for my den next and will make sure I go back!
Our salesman was informative without being over baring which made the experience comfortable and in turn made us more likely to buy something, which we did, as opposed to just rushing out of the store to avoid being forced into a conversation we did not want to have.
Sales woman was very friendly. I got a great deal on a king size bed floor sample and delivery was within a few days.
The saleswoman we first encounter - a week before we made our final purchase - actually used her phone to photograph the table we were interested in and mail it to our decorator! He liked it, came to see it in person and we cemented the transaction in a few minutes!

Nice friendly sales people (not the in your face type) Delivery was on time the delivery men were polite. The only thing is after they left i noticed my end tabels had a few scratches on them but nothin big or noticeable enough could of happened at the factory all in all a good experience with ashley.
The buying experience was excellent! Sales rep was very patient not pushing to sell. Going back to purchase reclining chair soon!
Bought a mattress and tv stand. TV stand was on clearance and Cholly our sales guy hooked us up with even more of a discount on the product. The mattress sale was great. Cholly was very helpful and friendly. No rush. Also we ended up deciding on a more firm mattress and after a week decided it was too firm and Ashley took i back with no questions and replaced with a more plush model. Great experience.
