He worked with us over several days to help us find the exact couch we were looking for and we never felt rushed or pressured. Highly recommend asking for him when visiting this Ashley store!

Please do yourself a favor and avoid buying from this store. I have been trying to cancel an order since AUGUST and it is still pending as of NOVEMBER! I usually do not leave bad reviews but I have contacted customer service and this store multiple times and nothing is getting done. Merlin was very attentive in-store but when trying to cancel she just completely ghosted me. The manager said he was going to send me an email regarding the cancellation and a refund on my deposit. That was a month ago and I still have not received a single thing. All customer service does is put in tickets that the store never follows up on! These people want you to email them to resolve any issues but then they never reply! I am still waiting! Save yourself the headache and avoid this store.

Fortunately, their showroom had a multitude of options. We knew we wanted to see something in person before purchasing. He really worked with us to make sure we got the right fit without being pushy! However I will say the manager does not use my favorite sale tactics. Making comments about the shoes I’m wearing so I should be able to make the down payment… which left a bad taste in my mouth. After spending thousands of dollars on a sofa and waiting months for it to be delivered, it was delivered missing parts. I called the customer service number after waiting even more time to be told that it was my fault and I should have refused the delivery. I was not given the option. The supervisor at customer service was actually rude and not helpful at all.

Be cautious about the insurance coverage Ashley offers for furniture. They promote it as a 5-year protection plan that covers things like food spills and stains, including services like steaming and cleaning. I paid over $150 just to cover our breakfast table and chairs for such incidents. However, when I filed a claim with the insurance company for the chairs that had food spills (expected with having little children and that's why I paid for coverage), it was denied. They categorized the issue as regular wear and tear or dust—conditions not covered under the plan. Unfortunately, this meant the coverage I paid for was essentially useless. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

Leaving this review on Santiago’s service especially. After going to multiple furniture stores and moving within 5 days I decided to stop in here to “just look”. Sure shopping online is easy, and you don’t have a salesman down your back, but you get to actually FEEL what you’re getting. This is my 3-4th move and decided to do some adulting and purchase some better quality items (no more ikea, amazon, etc) only came in for a couch but because of Santiago I left with a couch, mattress and bed frame. Spending more than I intended, but truly happy with my purchases. He read my vibes and showed me pieces that I am truly excited for and can’t wait for my move. Set up my delivery and even after a weekend of overthinking, he was super flexible about helping me re-choose a better mattress (another upgrade) hahaha. Dealing with sales people is sometimes a drag when you feel like they’re trying to upsell you, or just showing you things you really don’t need or looking for. Santiago was not pushy, or overbearing, gave me the space to think, and guided me through everything and his suggestions ended up being exactly what I was looking for. Ashley in Secaucus worst Experience Ever still not over it! This is the worst service me and my partner have received! We purchased our bed for $5283.26 with sales tax delivery and all …way over budget to have it delivered on Valentine’s Day Feb 14,2024. We have seen the bed in other places for cheaper was charged $520 for pillows. We tried to call customer service and tried to call the store to return the pillows because they were hurting our necks and we were having complications with the pillows. They said there was nothing they could Do, As for the mattress, the threading is coming off the bed. This is a Stearns & Foster firm mattress supposed to be top of the line two months later the treads are coming off. It was the biggest mistake buying this bed. The other issue is my partner was surprised into getting a credit card he did not even want, and got approved for $12,000 without asking how much he makes a year! he was surprised into opening a line of credit without his Authority we gave the sales agent all the information thinking it was just going to be information for the bed not for a credit line. Victor Figueroa who was our Sales person who stated that the pillows would be reduced in the price, then we got a bill for the $250 each pillow plus tax. Then we get a statement in the mail for the $520 dollars for the two pillows that supposedly were going to be reduced on that mattress.( Now how many other people did he con on getting credit lines?)I’m not understanding what we have saved,I feel he was just worried about making the sale. He talked us into going in that mattress, while we were looking at another mattress that we we’re going to purchase that was within our budget. I feel this is a con artist trying to make his next commission based on what he wanted and not what we wanted as customers. He is a lying conniving manipulative salesperson that works for your company and takes advantage of your customers unrealistic.

We were in the market for a sectional and went into the store thinking of just shopping around and researching and not to purchase. But the way Manny Vasquez helped us going above and beyond showing us various products and explaining each with patience, we were sold. Very good customer service from him and we ended up ordering Modmax 6 piece modular sectional after looking around for close to 2 hours.

EDIT: I placed an order with Ashley Furniture back in October for a couch that cost over $2,000. When it arrived in the first week of November, the chaise cushion was completely defective—one side was significantly higher than the other, making it visibly slanted and uncomfortable. I immediately contacted customer service and submitted a claim to have the defective part replaced. What followed was months of frustration, lack of communication, and zero accountability. After waiting endlessly, they finally sent a "replacement"—but instead of a properly assembled cushion, they sent a single piece of foam with no instructions and no indication that it would arrive in parts. Separately, they sent two outside casings, one of which was stained with black marks. Even worse, the inside casing with the feathers (which was the root of the original issue) was completely missing and never received. Now it's April, six months later, and the issue still isn’t resolved. Every time I call customer service, I’m met with vague promises that someone will “call me back with an update,” but no one ever does. When I ask to speak with a manager, I’m always told none are available. The customer service has been absolutely horrendous, and at this point, I regret ever making this purchase. Had such a great experiences with Rocky at the Secaucus showroom today! We came in looking for a new bedroom set and were promptly greeted and given all of the details about the Labor Day sale running this weekend. Rocky asked us what we were in the market for, gave us a detailed rundown of what was available and then let us peruse on our own, while checking in occasionally. He never hovered but was there to answer all of our questions and eventually help us complete the purchase. I feel like at most stores, you feel like the associate is watching so closely you can’t comfortably look around but Rocky was great. We chatted with him for awhile and left with a beautiful new bedroom set! Highly recommend this new Ashley location :)

What a wonderful experience working with Elvin and team at the Secaucus store. We had purchased furniture in a store in MD and a full 3 weeks later they were no closer to delivering than day one. Btw it too was an Ashley but under a different franchise. Elvin quickly ascertained several issues with why delivery was not eminent. We canceled that order and reordered from the Mill Creek location and had our furniture less than a week later. Also, the MD store had no idea what a COI was or how to provide. Elvin handled all that with our HOA management with no inconvenience to me. We would recommend this Ashley store to anyone who wants good service.

First I want to say that I was very transparent with staff about what type of furniture I needed which was pet friendly and water proof. They suggested to me in getting faux leather sofas because they are waterproof and that anything liquid will not soak in. I received my order on June 12th, 2024 and on June 29th, 2024 my dog had an accident on the sofa, and guess what happen the liquid went straight through the sofa. I am very disappointed in the product that they sold me because they said it was waterproof and that anything liquid wouldn't go through. The very next day I went to Ashley Furniture and spoke to the manager letting him know that I was not satisfied with the product that they sold me and that I want to return it. Today, I found out that they DO NOT DO RETURNS and I would have to contact customer care and the 5 year warranty to clean it. I contacted customer care and told them my situation and they told me that 2 months ago they added a 7 day exchange policy if you do not like the furniture. I let them know that they need at least a 1 month exchange policy because what is 7 days going to do for the customer. So now I have to stay with my sofas which I do not like because it did not provide the performance that I requested. I let Customer Care Supervisor know the situation because I do not want this happening to another customer. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED I was honest with them and what they provided to me did not meet the requirements that I told them. I am not a furniture expert so I trusted them in what they were telling me because they are the professionals when it comes to furniture. For future customers please ask if they have a return policy and what their exchange policy is.

I received exceptional service from Angel R. - highly recommend! I went into the store a few weeks prior to purchasing to ask questions and see the couches available. I didn’t purchase that day but Angel gave me her number and replied to my texts incredibly fast the following weeks. I returned 3 weeks later with a different couch I was interested in online, Angel and her manager FaceTimed a different location so I could see the fabric and ask that sales associate any questions. I appreciate the customer service especially as a busy working mom with a 1.5 year old running around their store. They were so friendly and helpful - I’m looking forward to going back and purchasing the accompanying chair. FY - they price match any online Ashley prices and online it said 2-3 week delivery and it’s coming in 4 days!!! Highly recommend and ask for Angel!

My boyfriend and I wanted to remodel our town home so we came into Ashley’s looking for new furniture . We were immediately greeted by Santiago and told him what we were looking for. 1. Don't buy Ashley furniture. But if you do, 2. Don't bother with the extended warranty. It's useless. We purchased a sectional couch from Ashley, and it started falling apart within 2 years. Very poor quality materials/wood is used. The seat cushion fabric began to pill within the first few months after purchasing. The decking ripped under the cushions because because it's cheap fabric stretched over sharp, unfinished wood edges. The warranty company refused to cover any of the decking damage, saying it was "normal wear & tear" even though the damage was from poor craftsmanship. A later claim was filed after accidentally spilling wine on the couch cushions and they refuse to cover that because there was more than 1 spot, never mind that liquid splashes and doesn't fall in one spot. I finally convinced them to send out a tech thinking they were coming to clean it, but that wasn't the case. It was for verification only, even though I had already sent them photos. Once the tech was finally sent out, my policy had expired. So, even though I had a claim filed within my 5 year coverage, they refuse to cover anything because it's expired "now." What a scam of a company. We we warned not to purchase anything from Ashley when we were initially furniture shopping, and really should have listened! The furniture looks nice in the show room, but that's all it's good for. Now we have to purchase a new couch, and 100% will not even look at anything labeled Ashley. What a waste of money.

The store is clean and well-kept. The sales staff were helpful and also gave us our space. Maria, our sales associate, is pleasant and easy to communicate with.

Angel helped us so much with being able to purchase new furniture for our new apartment, we are so grateful for her patience and understanding and she helped us figure out exactly what we needed to fit our space. 10/10 experience, will be shopping here again in the near future !

But my wife was crushed when the first delivery team said it won’t fit in the 27-inch-wide entrace to the living room in our tiny apartment. But our sales associate James Way, true to his name, found a way to help us get the right people at affordable price to disassemble it and re-assemble it in our living room. We’re blown away with the couch and James’s one-of-a-kind aftersales service and going the extra mile, the huge savings on re-delivery/assembly & big discount on the final sale price. A 5-star rating isn’t enough. If there’s 10-star rating, I’d give it in a heartbeat. So this is the least I can do, if you’re shopping for your new or next furniture, look for James Way at Ashley Secaucus branch.

Stay away from this company. I got a furniture from this place few weeks ago. When I was at the store shopping around the sales men was trying to make the sale more convincing he suggested that I can get six months loan with NO interest and I can pay it within six months. So we agreed on the price of $900. After receiving the first statement from the bank, I noticed there was $950. So I called the bank and they told me there’s no interest but this is an annual fee. I have to pay a $50 charge that was never informed. And there is nothing they can do about it. So I called the place. I spoke to the manager and the manager told me i’m sorry there’s nothing I can do about it. As soon as the Sale leaves our office, there is no way of getting into the system and do anything about it. He told me to call the main number of the store. So I did and the person there told me I’m sorry sir there’s nothing I can do about it. You need to contact the place that you purchase the furniture and I told him already did and they referred me to you guys and he said I’m sorry sir but there’s nothing I can do about it. Just mention that I was there two days before the purchase and I was shopping around and the manager called me three times within 2 days to ask me if I’m gonna stop by to purchase the furniture. He never called me once to ask me if I solve the problem with the $50 overcharge because they don’t care after that. So I decided to pay off everything because it was not worth the stress. There is no way of me going back there again. Just be careful with the things that you sign they don’t tell you all the truth and then you’re gonna end up paying more than you supposed to.

I purchased a queen size frame in July, to be delivered in the month of September. Upon receiving my order my experience with this establishment has been hell. The craftsman who are constantly sent out tells us there’s nothing more for them to do. In so little words they let us know they are only being sent out to shut us up. After a second visit and the problem still not being fixed. I was offered a refund of $200 to have the problem fixed myself. So we go to fix the problem and we realized the boards installed were not even properly installed. We were previously told that their products are weighed to hold up to a 1000 before distribution. Me and my partner combined aren’t even 400lbs, and we are two men. I guess the products aren’t made for two men to enjoy. I am over this product and this company as a whole. This has truly been a nightmare of an experience

Our experience with James Way as well as Maria in the Secaucus, NJ store has been nothing short of top notch. We started coming in 2022 while our renovation was just getting started. The original piece of furniture we were considering was a dinette set. We kept coming but never buying, only window shopping. James remained patient. Fast forward to summer 2023 and we ended up buying an entire bedroom set then added a couch later then also added a mattress with Maria's help. We now needed one more piece of furniture for our guest room and it was a sofa sleeper from the outlet. James said come on in and I'll help you with it. So not only are Ashley prices amazing, the furniture is exceptional quality. James is an A+ salesperson. Very knowledgeable and patient and no pressuring. I just bought a couch approximately 4 months ago. It’s been fixed three times since then. Came with my mom to get a bed set for her and her preferred language is Spanish. We was helped by Manny who speaks Spanish and was super helpful he helped her get a confortable bed and dresser made sure she liked it and felt confortable. Also got us coffee and water! Absolutely impressed with his service, I am a sales rep and I can tell he works great, and im sure my mom will only come if Manny is available. Please go and ask for him.

2 stars instead of one because the sofa is nice but having everyone at the store lie to me was a sure way to lose a repeat customer. Bought a sofa last year and the day we received it we realized it was a section too big. The truck drivers wouldn’t take it back said we needed to call Ashely’s. We then tried to return only a small section of it to be told no. To be then told we can return it for store credit IF we buy more furniture. The store manager said he would try to help me return it only to never hear from him again. You guys suck.

MANNY told me it would hit my credit score about 10 Points and it ended up being 42 points. I ALSO asked Manny and Santiago to put my boyfriend as a co-signer and they said they would. I JUST Got Off the bank with SYNCHRONY And they explain they never put his name in as a co-signer. Beware when shopping here. They aren’t the best at TELLING THE TRUTH!
