My experience at this location was amazing my husband and I was shopping around for a sofa set and we was approached by ROCKY who was GREAT he listened to what we was looking for and showed us a few sets. I told him we are about to be first time grandparents he congratulated us. Had such a great experiences with Rocky at the Secaucus showroom today! We came in looking for a new bedroom set and were promptly greeted and given all of the details about the Labor Day sale running this weekend. Rocky asked us what we were in the market for, gave us a detailed rundown of what was available and then let us peruse on our own, while checking in occasionally. He never hovered but was there to answer all of our questions and eventually help us complete the purchase. I feel like at most stores, you feel like the associate is watching so closely you can’t comfortably look around but Rocky was great. We chatted with him for awhile and left with a beautiful new bedroom set! Highly recommend this new Ashley location :)

What a wonderful experience working with Elvin and team at the Secaucus store. We had purchased furniture in a store in MD and a full 3 weeks later they were no closer to delivering than day one. Btw it too was an Ashley but under a different franchise. Elvin quickly ascertained several issues with why delivery was not eminent. We canceled that order and reordered from the Mill Creek location and had our furniture less than a week later. Also, the MD store had no idea what a COI was or how to provide. Elvin handled all that with our HOA management with no inconvenience to me. We would recommend this Ashley store to anyone who wants good service.

Definitely will return and can’t wait for my furniture delivery

I’ve been in many Ashley’s stores in NJ and TN. Today we visited, Ashley store in Secaucus, NJ because is Sunday and in Bergen County they are all closed. Luckily for us, we went to this location and our salesperson was Jennifer Cisneros, this young lady was very helpful and if she didn’t have the answer, she will look in her iPad or asked her boss, who was as nice as can be! I love their costumer service and the attention that I received was amazing!! Thank you for your service and your smile! 😊 They also love my pups, we always bring our pups with us everywhere, on their stroller.

My husband and i visited ashley furniture today in secaucus nj. Our sales associate shanika was very helpful. We discuss what we were looking for and she pointed us in the direction letting ud roam about by ourselves not hounding us or forcing anything on us. Once we found what we were looking for she was right there to answer all questions. She helped us with the financing process, which was really quick. She was nice and very knowledgeable. I will absolutely ask for her for any future purchases from ashley.

I had the pleasure of working with Shanika to finalize my recent purchase, and I can truly say that my experience was the epitome of excellent customer service. Everything was handled seamlessly from my store visit where she imparted knowledge on various pieces to finalizing the purchase over the phone the following day. I want to extend a HUGE thank you to Shanika for allowing me to have such a memorable experience as I embark on this new chapter of my life. I look forward to working with Shanika on any and all purchases in the near future.

(June 30th, 2024 ) This is an update from when I purchased my sofas. First I want to say that I was very transparent with staff about what type of furniture I needed which was pet friendly and water proof. They suggested to me in getting faux leather sofas because they are waterproof and that anything liquid will not soak in. I received my order on June 12th, 2024 and on June 29th, 2024 my dog had an accident on the sofa, and guess what happen the liquid went straight through the sofa. I am very disappointed in the product that they sold me because they said it was waterproof and that anything liquid wouldn't go through. The very next day I went to Ashley Furniture and spoke to the manager letting him know that I was not satisfied with the product that they sold me and that I want to return it. Today, I found out that they DO NOT DO RETURNS and I would have to contact customer care and the 5 year warranty to clean it. I contacted customer care and told them my situation and they told me that 2 months ago they added a 7 day exchange policy if you do not like the furniture. I let them know that they need at least a 1 month exchange policy because what is 7 days going to do for the customer. So now I have to stay with my sofas which I do not like because it did not provide the performance that I requested. I let Customer Care Supervisor know the situation because I do not want this happening to another customer. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED I was honest with them and what they provided to me did not meet the requirements that I told them. I am not a furniture expert so I trusted them in what they were telling me because they are the professionals when it comes to furniture. For future customers please ask if they have a return policy and what their exchange policy is.

I received exceptional service from Angel R. - highly recommend! I went into the store a few weeks prior to purchasing to ask questions and see the couches available. I didn’t purchase that day but Angel gave me her number and replied to my texts incredibly fast the following weeks. I returned 3 weeks later with a different couch I was interested in online, Angel and her manager FaceTimed a different location so I could see the fabric and ask that sales associate any questions. I appreciate the customer service especially as a busy working mom with a 1.5 year old running around their store. They were so friendly and helpful - I’m looking forward to going back and purchasing the accompanying chair. FY - they price match any online Ashley prices and online it said 2-3 week delivery and it’s coming in 4 days!!! Highly recommend and ask for Angel!

My boyfriend and I wanted to remodel our town home so we came into Ashley’s looking for new furniture . We were immediately greeted by Santiago and told him what we were looking for. 1. Don't buy Ashley furniture. But if you do, 2. Don't bother with the extended warranty. It's useless. We purchased a sectional couch from Ashley, and it started falling apart within 2 years. Very poor quality materials/wood is used. The seat cushion fabric began to pill within the first few months after purchasing. The decking ripped under the cushions because because it's cheap fabric stretched over sharp, unfinished wood edges. The warranty company refused to cover any of the decking damage, saying it was "normal wear & tear" even though the damage was from poor craftsmanship. A later claim was filed after accidentally spilling wine on the couch cushions and they refuse to cover that because there was more than 1 spot, never mind that liquid splashes and doesn't fall in one spot. I finally convinced them to send out a tech thinking they were coming to clean it, but that wasn't the case. It was for verification only, even though I had already sent them photos. Once the tech was finally sent out, my policy had expired. So, even though I had a claim filed within my 5 year coverage, they refuse to cover anything because it's expired "now." What a scam of a company. We we warned not to purchase anything from Ashley when we were initially furniture shopping, and really should have listened! The furniture looks nice in the show room, but that's all it's good for. Now we have to purchase a new couch, and 100% will not even look at anything labeled Ashley. What a waste of money.

The store is clean and well-kept. The sales staff were helpful and also gave us our space. Maria, our sales associate, is pleasant and easy to communicate with.

Angel helped us so much with being able to purchase new furniture for our new apartment, we are so grateful for her patience and understanding and she helped us figure out exactly what we needed to fit our space. 10/10 experience, will be shopping here again in the near future !

But my wife was crushed when the first delivery team said it won’t fit in the 27-inch-wide entrace to the living room in our tiny apartment. But our sales associate James Way, true to his name, found a way to help us get the right people at affordable price to disassemble it and re-assemble it in our living room. We’re blown away with the couch and James’s one-of-a-kind aftersales service and going the extra mile, the huge savings on re-delivery/assembly & big discount on the final sale price. A 5-star rating isn’t enough. If there’s 10-star rating, I’d give it in a heartbeat. So this is the least I can do, if you’re shopping for your new or next furniture, look for James Way at Ashley Secaucus branch.

Stay away from this company. I got a furniture from this place few weeks ago. When I was at the store shopping around the sales men was trying to make the sale more convincing he suggested that I can get six months loan with NO interest and I can pay it within six months. So we agreed on the price of $900. After receiving the first statement from the bank, I noticed there was $950. So I called the bank and they told me there’s no interest but this is an annual fee. I have to pay a $50 charge that was never informed. And there is nothing they can do about it. So I called the place. I spoke to the manager and the manager told me i’m sorry there’s nothing I can do about it. As soon as the Sale leaves our office, there is no way of getting into the system and do anything about it. He told me to call the main number of the store. So I did and the person there told me I’m sorry sir there’s nothing I can do about it. You need to contact the place that you purchase the furniture and I told him already did and they referred me to you guys and he said I’m sorry sir but there’s nothing I can do about it. Just mention that I was there two days before the purchase and I was shopping around and the manager called me three times within 2 days to ask me if I’m gonna stop by to purchase the furniture. He never called me once to ask me if I solve the problem with the $50 overcharge because they don’t care after that. So I decided to pay off everything because it was not worth the stress. There is no way of me going back there again. Just be careful with the things that you sign they don’t tell you all the truth and then you’re gonna end up paying more than you supposed to.

I wanted to sit on whatever you had. James Way gave us that window to discuss a major purchase between Us. I truly loved the choice I did make , it felt firm, a quality produced sofa made by Ashley. But I must say how much we enjoyed our sales person. I was happy with the delivery date, the price, the 5 year warranty, the actual inclined position was feeling good. I didn't hassle with price, James deserves his commission. HE is proud of what is sold in his store, His style and artsy way of dressing was so positive, simply a great person. So the store itself was ok. I didn't need much help or financing so it was an in and out deal. Thats when the problems started. Delivery was delayed over and over. The deliver guys never called on the way. The left nails and a mess in my house. But fine. I got everything I ordered. Took out the extended warranty and that's where is all went down hill. It's been 2 years since the purchase and the furniture is falling apart. They keep denying my claims saying that they don't cover the frame of the couch??? That's the whole couch!!! They denied a claim for new cushions after their technician said they need to be replaced. I will never use Ashley or their partners again!! I called the store and the guy I bought from of course is not there anymore and the store can't help with anything since the furniture is 2 years old. So for almost 3k I got furniture that lasted 1 year! And for 260$ I got a warranty that I can't use on anything!!! Stay far away from this company

The set was online but I had several questions.I called Ashley in Secaucus and received excellent service from Elvin by phone. He stepped me through the whole sale patiently and politely with no need to order online... price, payment, delivery, warranty all completed. I would recommend this store for full service. I purchased a queen size frame in July, to be delivered in the month of September. Upon receiving my order my experience with this establishment has been hell. The craftsman who are constantly sent out tells us there’s nothing more for them to do. In so little words they let us know they are only being sent out to shut us up. After a second visit and the problem still not being fixed. I was offered a refund of $200 to have the problem fixed myself. So we go to fix the problem and we realized the boards installed were not even properly installed. We were previously told that their products are weighed to hold up to a 1000 before distribution. Me and my partner combined aren’t even 400lbs, and we are two men. I guess the products aren’t made for two men to enjoy. I am over this product and this company as a whole. This has truly been a nightmare of an experience

The original piece of furniture we were considering was a dinette set. We kept coming but never buying, only window shopping. James remained patient. The next day I went back to the store and found out she was actually the manager!!!!!Ordered bedroom set in July 2022 but furniture got delivered in October 2022.Had all the correct and new pieces by the end of July 2023. Which took exactly one year.-Ordered from Ashley furniture in Fairfield NJ horrible service and rude people. Overall,-They did not believe me about the dresser. I had to keep recording videos.- Bad communication skills. Said were coming and didn't.- Said I closed and opened cases which I did not.- Said called and left messages, and they did not. They emailed me instead.  - Pieces keep getting delayed for months.One time, the workers delivered a damaged piece, and they were supposed to take the damaged piece back and did not.-Scheduled appointments and canceled 2 days before and said I never made one..I ordered a sofa from Raymor and Flanigun, and there was a little scratch on it. My husband and I came here looking for a sofa to replace our current sectional. Sheila helped us find one we liked and even price matched the online price, which was significantly cheaper than in store ($600 price difference). However, when we got to the purchasing paperwork we were handed of to Manny the manager (yes that is his real name) and were immediately put off. He was very condescending (he explained what a rectangle was for at least 5 minutes) and rude, even belittling his own employees. We went through with the purchase, but ended up cancelling due to feeling uncomfortable purchasing from him. Do not go to this store- Spend 10 extra minutes to drive to the Ashley in Fairfield. Also- 99% sure they have hidden microphones around the store so be careful what you say.

Working with Kevin at the store was fantastic. Showed us all the options given our circumstances, was friendly, and answered every single question we had.

When it was delivered, we felt rushed to check for damages since we were given the phone and didn't realize we had to do an inspection of all the furniture we purchased. The phone connection wasn't the best and I told the rep we didn't spot any damage and I signed the paperwork. Minutes after the delivery crew left, we sat down on the couch and realized that the coffee table was A Lot bigger than in the store and realized that none of us took into account that we were getting a shorter couch than what we pictured in the store. I called the salesperson within 5 minutes of the delivery crew leaving to let her know hoping we could exchange it for something else that fits. She told me she tried to ask her manager, but never heard from the manager and I kept having to contact her to get any possible updates. When we signed for the in store purchase, we were not told that it was a final sale. One thing I did notIce was that they automatically added the Warranty service for every product. I actually was planning on getting it, but again, a disappointment as a customer that they add it without even giving an option. When I called the customer service hotline, The rep on the phone was rude and was pretty much trying to hang up the phone on me. I've been in Sales/customer service for over 15 years and overall, the customer service was beyond disrespectful and disappointing. The delivery was another thing. they kept changing the delivery time which was frustrating since we live in an apartment building and have to schedule the service elevator. They did set up the furniture in a timely manner, however, once they left our apartment, the hallway had splinters of wood and staples from the packaging. The crew never came back to clean up which, again, was beyond disappointing. I brought this up to the sales person and again, she told me a manager would reach out to me, but never got a call. I know there wasn't much they could do from that point, but again pretty piss poor customer service from the management. In Addition, I already had to call the furniture insurance due to an internal arm rest issue on the couch after only having it for less than 2 months! Theres a squeaky noise inside the armrest and waiting for a technician at some point. I left a review through Ashley furniture as well, and haven't heard back. Apparently they don't care after a sale is made which is disheartening after spending around $6000. We still need to furnish other parts of our place, but definitely not going back to this store

We purchased two full size mattresses and two box springs. We were told by our salesman that if our bed frame had the slats then we do not need the box springs and they could be returned. They were $299.99 each in store. Online they were $250.00. However if we price matched to the online price then they couldn’t give us the special financing using our Ashley card so we proceeded to overpay. The delivery team dropped it off at 6am today and didn’t even remove them from the packaging. I contacted the store to return them since we set the beds up and we have the slats and do not need the box spring. Well we were now told that we cannot return these box springs. So we basically paid $600.00 for nothing, along with overpaying based on the online price. Any other store we visited accepts returns even after they were “accepted” into the home. Do your research and shop elsewhere!! We were told false information and now we are stuck with two box springs that cannot be returned. Clearly profits are more important than their customers.

Sales guy David was very good. Ahsley could not resolve the simplest issue of replacing pieces that were damaged by delivery. Our couch was delivered by dragging everything in from the driveway, over our wood floors and then to the living room. Was not put together properly at all, had "extra" legs, console was not plugged in. My 85-year-old father was tipped out of the recliner onto the floor because of how the legs were installed. There were rips, cuts, staples and scuffs on the pieces. We tried to get the items replaced but they wanted to fix it. Sent a tech out who sent a report to them that they need to be replaced. When I told them they can replace the damaged items or pick up everything and refund me, they opted to pick up everything. I will never deal with this unorganized and unprofessional company EVER again.

We just finished speaking to a manager at guest services (Alberto, I think), and he told me that his associates have done their "due diligence" of communicating and reaching out, without us responding back. But i'm attaching screenshots of email responses to his associates in a timely manner, while they completely neglect and ignore us and closed the case all of a sudden. The guest services manager gaslighted us in this conversation, when he can simply check all the email correspondences to see his staff's negligence. A Walmart manager does a better job than him assessing situations. Then he tries to tell me that they work all around the clock even on holidays, as if that's a plus for us. When we are dealing with things on the weekends, he basically expects that when his associates call us on Saturday afternoon, that we get out of therapy to answer Ashley Furniture calls, otherwise his associates will close the case immediately. Check photos. He then insinuates tour fault for not refusing the couch while the delivery people were there. The delivery people took the plastic off the couch and took a photo of my husband sitting on it then immediately left. How can an odor issue be evident in that short time? Our technician was so confused with her question. The technician was the only professional, intelligent, sound individual during this whole process, and that includes the manager we just spoke to. LOOK UP CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ONLINE OF ASHLEY FURNITURE ODOR ISSUES WITH COUCHES. IT'S FILLED WITH CHEMICAL SMELLS AND SOME HAVE MOLD PROBLEMS. LOOK UP CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ONLINE OF ASHLEY FURNITURE ODOR ISSUES WITH COUCHES. IT'S FILLED WITH CHEMICAL SMELLS AND SOME HAVE MOLD PROBLEMS. THESE OFF-GASSING SEVERE ODOR CAUSES HEALTH ISSUES, and imagine we've been dealing with it for a month, since we were told it would go away. We were told that it would go away, and at the same time the guest services manager is blaming us for reaching out a month after purchase.... we'll dug! because you guys told us it would subside in where it hasn't even a month! We purchased a sofa and bedroom set from Shanene Vergara from Ashley Furniture in Secaucus, NJ and had a good experience. However, in August of 2022 we purchased an outdoor seating set and Shanene Vergara wasn’t available that day, so we ended up dealing with James Way, this was a mistake. We purchased the set and were given a delivery date. After the sale we were told the pieces would be delivered separately. Over the next month or so we received all but one of the pieces in the set. Then the issues started. The delivery date of missing piece was pushed back again and again. James Way never reached out to let us know the delivery would not happen or provide any kind of update. We would have to call him over and over to get a response which was always a rude one. Asked for a supervisor and nothing. So, we have now resulted to texting James Way so James Way cannot claim he didn’t get the call. Just reached out to James Way yesterday, two weeks after the “new” delivery passed and after receiving no update from James Way. Shockingly enough the delivery has been pushed to April. It is now March 2023, and the missing piece is scheduled for delivery in April 2023, (we were not even provided a date). That is 8 months after we purchased the set. We have never received an explanation or even a courtesy apology (not even expecting it to be sincere lol). Obviously, we are not expecting delivery in April or to be contacted that it was moved again. We understand James Way is not making and delivering the furniture, but James Way is the person who we dealt with, and James Way is basically representing Ashley when dealing with us. So, when James Way doesn’t even care enough to give an update or explanation of what is going on here it makes Ashley as a whole look bad. We are going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs since James Way and Ashley do not seem to care that we purchased an item 7 months ago and have no actual timeline for receiving what we paid for. We cannot return the partial set we do have either, so we are stuck with an incomplete set at this point with no resolution in sight. There are plenty of other places to purchase furniture and I would recommend going with one of those. Or at the very least not dealing with James Way at this Ashley location. Since James Way does not seem to care to at the very least update his customers when things go wrong.

Ashley is actually by far the worst. I purchased my furniture in the middle of the pandemic and my furniture came damaged there were missing pieces. It took at least 5 tries and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to get some type of decent customer service. I will never shop there or recommend it to anyone.

I had a terrible experience with a store in Secaucus. I placed an order, canceled it and then returned to place a new one. Unfortunately, my salesperson was no longer working there, so the store manager helped me. When my order arrived, the mattress was too big for my daughter's room. I contacted the store, sent pictures, and they deleted my exchange order from their system, sending me the original order. I had to wait another two weeks to get my furniture, and the driver left a mattress at my home, but the second delivery never picked it up. I bought a bed set and furniture set with warranty from this Ashley’s. In less than a year our bed broke twice and our sofa is sunken in. They gave us a hassle to fix it the second time because we’re under extended warranty, having to pay an extra $80 after spending over 4 grand to begin with. I asked if anything can be done to get a new bed and they did not want to help at all. This is the worst experience I ever had with a furniture company. I say avoid buying from this Ashley’s.
