We went to Ashley furniture today to look at options for a new family room set. We were greeted kindly upon entering And the sales associate who helped me, Cindy Seratteli, Was super knowledgeable and helped me find a set that was perfect for my family. I have five children high school through pre-k in my home and didn’t want something I was gonna have to constantly be worried about. Cindy helped Me to find something that was super comfortable in a price range that I felt good about with having that many kids in my house. I’ll be back soon for a new bedroom set!

He was a pleasure to work with, personable, listened, knew exactly what we were asking for and yet still took the time to walk with us as we looked at other options. I recently was on a search for a new sofa recliner set. I had been to a few furniture stores and wasn’t finding anything that I liked. When I stepped into Ashley’s I was greeted by Nikki who was my sales person. She did a great job at helping me find just what I wanted. Everyone at Ashley was super helpful and accommodating. The manger Shawn went above and beyond to help get my items delivered quickly. If you’re in search of some new furniture I highly suggest stopping in Ashley’s.

I purchased a couch here a month ago and paid for the 5 yr warranty. Two weeks ago as I was sitting down the couch cracked (I weigh 160lbs so ai wasn’t the issue) I have been trying to get ahold of services for the past two weeks to have someone come down and fix it, to no avail…… waste of a warranty

They gave us all necessary information on the products but gave us time to consider and determine what was best for us. No sales pressure you get in other furniture stores. Bait and switch Absolutely the worst experience I have received as a customer As a business owner I understand setting expectations are extremely important. These guys promised we would have all furniture delivered within a week of ordering, 2 months later we only have partial items. They make promises they simply do not keep. Time and time again we are promised calls back, updates, emails to no avail. My wife is 8 months pregnant sleeping on the floor as we wait for the headboard that matches the rest of the furniture. Since speaking to them their systems has been either hacked or down on 3 separate occasions???!? Do not believe a word these guys say - Todd, Ashley, Chelsea, Chet they are completely useless. Do not shop here, do not waste your time go literally anywhere else.

Would give no stars if i could.. had to give 1 to post. Purchased a makeup vanity in June 2023. In Oct 23 the finish began peeling. Contacted store who pushed me to guest services. Guest services said there was nothing they could do and the issue was not covered under the limited warranty. Contacted the better business bureau, no response. Reached out to managers of the store, as between myself and my parents we have furnished both our homes from this store. They “attempted” to help, but nothing ever came of contacting them. Now i am left with a peeling makeup vanity. I am so disappointed. I purchased several other pieces with the vanity. No issues. The store refused to refund OR replace the item. Shame this franchise does not stand behind their merchandise or help theit repeat customers.

Average stars for average products. Some good some bad, prices reflect that. Customer service is actually very good through ashley. The main downside is being sold like a car dealership. They also try to sell you on warranties just like a car dealership that are very hard to actually use and so much fine print that they can get out of helping you in most scenarios.
Rose in Toms River was amazing. This was our second time here and she never disappoints. She gives us the perfect advice, and our home is gorgeous.
In my opinion do not shop at this Ashley Store located on Bay Ave, in Toms River N.J. The original Ashley Stores a year ago sold off some of their locations and the stores that were purchased kept the Ashley name. They are Ashley Stores in name only. I spoke to the original Ashley Stores Corporation office, and I was told they have no control over stores they sold off. Furthermore, I called the corporate office of the new owners, and I was told the day they took over (one year ago) all records prior to their take over were deleted. Keep in mind when you enter the Ashley store in Toms River, they are not part of the original chain just using their name. In my opinion DO NOT SHOP THERE because once the sale is completed, they change the motto to PROFIT BEFORE CUSTOMERS!
George always treats us so well every time we come. He helps us find what we need and we always have an easy going, fast experience. Any time we come to Ashley’s Furniture, he’s who we ask for! 5/5 for sure.
They basically force you to purchase the protection plan and then when you try to get something fixed or replaced they just give you the go around for now going on 11 months. So irritating especially after we put a claim in on our adjustable base, they send out a tech who said he'll submit the pictures and we should have someone here in the next few weeks 2 months later we called for an update and they said the tech wrote a report and states he fixed the base and closed the report out. The adjustable base still isn't working and a lady from corporate asked my husband why he cut the wires. We had the base for 3 months before it sparked in our outlet and stopped working, no reason we would cut the wires. Terrible customer service, will never purchase another item from them. Not to mention we only had our couch for 15 months and the cushions are so worn out.UPDATE: The adjustable base still has not had a tech out to fix it, we did get a credit on the couch however they have NO sectionals like our current one we had to spend extra just to pick out a new couch which they promised would be delivered by this week so it was here before Christmas, turns out it wasn't even put in the right spot to be delivered and Christmas is in a week. So disappointing, I should stand outside the store and make people aware before they spend money at this place. This place is a joke

I am extremely unhappy with this store and with the lack of caring from the manager there. I purchased a couch in this store in 2019 and also purchased insurance that I was told if not used I would receive a full refund. I called the store 2 weeks ago and stated that I would like the refund because I did not need to call the insurance for any repairs on my couch and was told I do not get a refund, I asked to speak to a manager and I was asked my name and phone number and that someone would call me back.Obviously nobody called me back, so I called again last week and was on the phone for over 45 minutes and someone hang up the phone.I called again and they asked again for my phone and number and of course nobody called me back.I called again today and got the same excuse and that sorry but you get no refund, I asked again to speak to a manager and again was put on hold for over 1 hour and finally when they came to the phone it was not a manager but someone else who was just answering the phones, I asked for the Corporate phone number because this is ridiculous no customer service, very rude and lack of caring or manners. I will never again buy any furniture from them and will make sure will leave a really bad review because that is what they deserve after the way they treat customers after they get them to buy the furniture...horrible service

I'm mad at myself for not reading all the bad reviews before we ordered. We desperately needed a sofa and love seat before Thanksgiving. Our salesman knew this. We ordered on 10-25 and were told they would soon call us to update us on our order. After waiting a few weeks for the call, we called them yesterday or tried to. The phone number on our salesman business card was disconnected. For an instant there I thought Ashley went out of business and they had our money. I called the main number and was told our delivery date was sometime in December! I couldn't believe it. I haven't checked the fine print on the sales receipt yet to see if I can cancel the order and not get stuck with some kind of store credit. Maybe I'll have the credit card company dispute the charge for me. No surprise they get 2 stars. You get what you pay for. Seems like their salespeople would make great used car salesmen. If they make this right, then I'll update my review.

They basically force you to purchase the protection plan and then when you try to get something fixed or replaced they just give you the go around for now going on 11 months. So irritating especially after we put a claim in on our adjustable base, they send out a tech who said he’ll submit the pictures and we should have someone here in the next few weeks 2 months later we called for an update and they said the tech wrote a report and states he fixed the base and closed the report out. The adjustable base still isn’t working and a lady from corporate asked my husband why he cut the wires. We had the base for 3 months before it sparked in our outlet and stopped working, no reason we would cut the wires. Terrible customer service, will never purchase another item from them. Not to mention we only had our couch for 15 months and the cushions are so worn out. UPDATE: The adjustable base still has not had a tech out to fix it, we did get a credit on the couch however they have NO sectionals like our current one we had to spend extra just to pick out a new couch which they promised would be delivered by this week so it was here before Christmas, turns out it wasn’t even put in the right spot to be delivered and Christmas is in a week. So disappointing, I should stand outside the store and make problem aware before they spend money at this place.

I recently moved from Bergen county to Toms River a few months ago. I needed living room and bedroom furniture, I had the pleasure of walking in the front door and meeting a very friendly face named George M...he would be my personal salesman for the next 4 hours lol...all I can say is my experience was fantastic he treated me wonderfully and I love my furniture.Ask for George u will not b let down, I can't understand some of these negative reviews everyone at Ashley was fantastic...I ran into one little snag and they fixed it above and beyond....do not hesitate this is a great store with great people.

I recently purchased a couch with a ottoman and a leather loveseat with 2 cocktail tables and a pull up coffee table. The order took 7 weeks to deliver and when it came to my house, the leather loveseat was damaged and the wrong color, The coffee table was totally the wrong one. I refused delivery and called the store and was told to call back the next day when the wrong items were put back into the inventory, so I went back to the Toms River store the next day and explained the situation. I was told that I would have to wait another 3 weeks. The manager Bruno, was very cold and didn't even offer any apologies until I mentioned I was going to write a review. On top of that, I waited for them to produce a recite and they could not because the regional director Hady was in his car driving home and had to approve it. Needless to say I cancelled all the items that came in wrong. I will NEVER shop there ever again. I was treated very badly with zero customer service!

If i could leave a zero rating i would, that is how frustrated i am with Ashley's furniture's. When i was at the store they pressured me into Buying the insurance and i chose to opt out because i had 2 cats and a small child and i thought it wouldn't be covered. However the sales person Cindy reassured me that the damages from the cat scratches and any stains would be covered. Also mentioned if furniture is not fixable it would be replaced. However when i submitted a claim, they told me cat scratches are not covered by insurance as well as more than one stain on the furniture. They call it accumulation of damage over a long period of time. Basically they told me I'm not covered and they did not want to help at all. I was lied to at the store, even though i said i had 2 cats. so, I was tricked into spending $200 for the insurance. DO NOT BUY THE INSURANCE , its a Scam. Its a rip off

I went into the store and purchased two couches and a recliner. I asked the salesman if I got it home and I was unhappy with it could I return it he said a long as it's within the 72 hour timeframe I will get my full money back. It was delivered. It was not the same as in the show room. It was much harder which I heard a lot online. Same problem I called and they said I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee plus $150 delivery fee. I think this is outrageous and I would not recommend the store again.
We went to the store 8/19/23 for a bed set and an adjustable base the beauty rest black. What the salesman and the manager put on the invoice was not the base we had chosen. And upon delivery when I asked where was the specific items I had seen at the store for this model the delivery could not present a valid answer. So upon calling the store, my husband spoke to the manager and the manager said that he would fix it told us to call the customer service number which we did a week later after not getting a response I called back to the customer service number, and a few hours later they called saying that the store had not verified that we chose another base and that they would not honor what we had been told . How is a customer supposed to know what the base model of something is if they are trusting the sales people and the manager to correctly write down what the customer wants to buy. We feel deceived, and would like to return our order.
Everyone at Ashley Furniture was extremely helpful and friendly, especially PT who helped us get many great things for our new house. He was patient and very helped with suggestions & measurements. At the end he and the manager got us a great price with pretty fast delivery! Thanks again!
very unsettling place, I walked in with a friend to look at pillows & furniture because we are moving. Everywhere we went we kept getting followed, & looked at like we had 3 heads. If you want to search for furniture in peace I suggest looking somewhere else. This is a review I don’t normally write, but I felt VERY uncomfortable & dissatisfied.

Extremely Disappointed. Received a new sectional couch 3 weeks ago now, the chaise cushion arrived damaged. I called customer service, sent in pictures like they requested to get a replacement cushion. Going on 3 WEEKS now, with still NO WORD back about my replacement cushion. They are quick to take your money, but when it's their turn to step up, they are non-existent!!!!
Low quality furniture. The Walmart of furniture stores. They don't even want to bother helping you with warranties after they sell them to you.
If I could give this store 20 stars I would. We have been extremely pleased with our purchase. Chet the manager has gone above and beyond to satisfy us and make sure we were happy. Everyone in the store was so extremely nice. We did take advantage of their 90 day satisfaction policy. The 1st bed we got was not as soft as we like, we had no way to test it for it was not in any stores, we upgraded and got the new one today. We are so happy to do business with them. We highly recommend them, and we will be using them again for future purchases.
If you.purchase a mattress from this store make sure they actually explain the Comfort Guarantee to you and not just keep telling you that you have 90 days to exchange if you are not comfortable. In reality if the mattress is not the right one it costs you 15% restocking fee and a 99 dollar delivery fee and if you chose a different mattress that retails for less then the original purchase the difference is not refundable. Buyer beware!

Purchased a sofa the Darcy blue sofa. Have had it 8 months only my husband me. The cushions sag as you sit on them. In addition the cushions slide out at least 2 inches. There is nothing holding them in place.. so Everytime we must push them back. Have had 8 months. Worse sofa I’ve ever owned. Ashley will do NOTHING. Said they would send Velcro for us to put on cushions. Will do nothing qualify of their furniture is terrible. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They will not stand behind their furniture once you’ve bought it you’re on your own!!!!

Still waiting for $800 plus refund for chair delivered and redelivered 3 times with sane damage. Have gone into store multiple times with no cooperation. And, their phone number for guest services is a joke.Let be say again...over $800 they are refusing to credit me after multiple times chair has been returned. If you want to raise your blood pressure be sure to visit Ashley and after the "used car salesman approach" sells you your dream piece of furniture here's hoping you never need to return it for a refund because you will go stark raving mad before if and when you get any satisfaction . I'm still waiting for the managers, Chet, return call. Still waiting.....

I purchased 2 recliners total. $1900.00, they arrived , sat on them and they are structurely imperfect called them 1 day after delivery took them 1 month and 15 phone calls for them to send the furniture doctor to examine them Furniture doctor examined them and said they were imperfect and needed to be fixed or replaced. But Ashley called today and said the doctor said there was nothing wrong with them which is a lie. Now I will have to hire a lawyer to get justice Go to Bob's they stand by their products..
Terrible quality , but okay if you’re planning on replacing it within 3 years. Some of The wood tables are actually hard pressed cardboard with a wood like coating. Any Couch cushion sold there has been modified to have extra filler, don’t fall for the add ons, or the warranty because they won’t honor them. The sales team is very pushy. Let people shop around and breathe jeez. Don’t Buy Ashley. Oh yeah the delivery people will destroy your purchase and you’ll notice it a couple weeks later. Make sure you look it over, and take pics. Don’t give me a copy and paste generic response. this proves insincerity that Ashley furniture is a terrible company and doesn’t care about customers and the brand they represent and why they’re in the business they’re in.

I went shopping with my husband for a sofa few weeks ago. I have to extend my thank you to my sales person "Cindy Serratelli" who tried to help me with any questions and when ever I called her She ,Took her time to listen . Whiter pic is what’s in the showroom. Pic with partical board is what I received. Spent well over 12k in one single day and they couldn’t help me. It’s not even like it’s got a different finishing on it, to make it looked aged. The whole set is like this. Poorly painted with straight particle board showing through. Sliding door on chest does not glide. Skips. Again, the one in the showroom had a perfect Glide. Showroom one was quality- the one received- is like a cheap knock off. They swapped the chest, same exact issues. Completely threw off the whole white and silver design of the room. No money back; nothing. Despite the fact that I purchased THREE sets that day- PLUS an adjustable bed frame- giving them nearly 12k in one single day. Not a fan. Will probably never use them again.
Was NEVER told my old mattress needed to be plastic wrapped to be taken on delivery of new. CS was almost rude. Delayed my new delivery by another week. ASHLEY needs to PRINT a blurb and attach to paperwork regarding these requirements because I surley would have complied if I had been informed. BIG dissatisfaction with this experience.

We have returned to purchase living room furniture and Cindy Serratelli is always so professional and her creativity to map out our living room space to perfect every piece where it would look the best. I've never been so mad as I am now. I had a 1 to 5 delivery time for furniture delivery. Now at 715 pm they tell me it may be 9 pm. I friggin go to bed at 8 cause I get up at 330 am to go to work. I've used them in the past but never again. THey suck. And I left work early just to be home by 1 lost time at work.
In my opinion Ashley furniture has Poor quality control standards , encountered multiple family members having had problems with this company’s products. They are unwilling to stand behind their products and resolve any problems. My recommendation is to shop elsewhere. Buyer beware.
Place is bad for communication , also lie about whats in stock and delivers. 2nd time this happen at the same store, i guess i learned my lesson this time. Never again
I am not satisfied with Ashley at this location. I bought a recliner there and it broke within a year. When I put in a claim the gave me a little of my money in credit and told me they count not fix the chair and we had a credit towards another chair. So we picked a much more expensive chair.With in the first year the frame failed. So they came in and replaced the frame So now we are in a second year. The chair stopped working. I am having shoulder replacement surgery and need the chair to sleep. I called the warranty company again they told me I had to go on line to place a claim. Which I did. It took awhile for them to get back to me and tell me they no longer deal with Ashley. Nobody ever informed us that the company changed. Called Ashley they gave me the new company. I called to put in a claim. It took awhile to get an appointment. They gave me Feb 14th. They never showed up . When I called they said the appointment was cancelled but no one called me. Time is ticking and my surgery is soon and need this fixed. Another appointment Feb 21st. They came and told me it was the remote. Now the need to order it. May not come till after my surgery. I told them I need the chair. Warranty company said they will replace the chair. Ok so back to Ashley we pick a chair was told the chair we picked was available and will let me know delivery date. I get a call yesterday to tell me the chair now is not available. Besides that the credit was over 900 dollars we find out they chair he was going to sell us was more than 200 hundred dollars less plus shipping plus another warranty added on. So now I still don't have a chair my surgery is next week. I am disgusted with Ashley and their poor quality furniture. My husband and I are average size people and have no children living with us just in case anyone is wondering. So now what do I do. The sales manager wanted to give us the floor model till the other chair is available but if anything should happen to it we will be stuck with it I am sure. Many people have probably sat in that chair playing with it so who knows what condition it is in and we are not going to be responsible for it failing and being stuck with it. It was also stained. So if I was you stay away from Ashley furniture. I started the claim in January and still not resolved.

George the sales rep and mattress specialist is top notch! Ask for him when looking for the perfect mattress or any other household needs. He knows what he's talking about. Extremely personable and professional! Bruno was very helpful as well as well as polite ladies behind the counter signing up for my delivery needs. I had questions about certain subjects and the top store manager Chet was very helpful. Highly recommend coming here as I purchased other pieces for my home. Don't forget to ask for George as he's very knowledgeable and accommodating to your household needs.
We ordered furniture in 2020. It took months to be delivered. We took out the extended warranty. BIG MISTAKE. my wife called as soon as we noticed some damage on the sofa. It was underneath a cushion. And some other areas were damaged. Immediately reported it to the warranty company GBS ENTERPRISES. I sent pictures of all the damage. They emailed me a claim number and said someone would be in touch. After waiting a week no one contacted us. We called and basically was told none of the damage was covered. We paid $350. 00 for nothing. Horrible service from Ashley and the warranty company.
Our kids beds cracked the same day it was delivered. Customer service claims its our issue and they were delivered in "excellent condition". Clearly in the two hours we owned them we destroyed it. We called immediately and were told we can expect a call back within a week. After that we were told , don't worry we already shipped you a replacement part. I never asked for a replacement peice. I want to return this bunk bed. Shameful Update: Emailed customer service still Said they can't replace , they will mail me a part for me to "repair".
AVOID Ashley Furniture in Toms River at all costs. I purchased brand new (not clearance) furniture and 3 out of 4 pieces were damaged at delivery. They make you keep it and have it repaired. Tried for months to resolve it and get new furniture, including speaking to the Store Manager, who was useless and just a "yes man" until you walked out the door, and there was no resolution with the exception of having my NEW FURNITURE REPAIRED. I spent months on the phone getting the run-around. They are absolutely horrible, and I will never purchase from Ashley ever again. Reporting them to the BBB next.

Yesterday they took the 2 things, the dining room was ok but the dresser was dirty inside each drawer (like wood residue), for what it costs and the prestige of your store, they should have the detail to clean it. Pretty disappointed with you. What a pity with the seller because we agreed to return because we are furnishing the house, but honestly I would not buy anything there again (Original) Del vendedor no me puedo quejar, amable y con paciencia. Ayer llevaron las 2 cosas, el comedor ok pero la comoda sucia por dentro de cada cajon( como residuos de madera), para lo que Cuesta y prestigio de su tienda, deben tener el detalle de limpiarla. Bastante disiluciinada con uds. Que pena con el vendedor por que quedamos de volver por que estamos amoblando la casa, pero sinceramente No volveria a comprar nada ahi

I had an awesome experience during the Black Friday sale. Purchased a couch. upon delivery of the couch I found out it would not fit. I did not measure properly. The couch went back on the truck. It was delivered to the warehouse. I went to the store the next day, so upset, thinking I was going to have all kinds of issues. However, that was not the case. The manager Chet made sure we measured properly and I would get a couch I like get the couch that I like. He still honored the same price from the Black Friday sale. I was so excited I couldn’t believe my experience was going in such a positive manner. 100% one on one beautiful customer service.!! I am ecstatic! But I must say the start of my journey was with the sales woman Cindy, who is just fabulous got me everything I needed… so when you need the best, visit Ashley HomeStore furniture in Toms over you won’t be disappointed!!!!! BUYER BEWARE....5 months ago I bought a bedroom set that cost me a lot of money. When they delivered the set there was a damage that they putty'd on one of the draws in the footboard. I got right on the phone to report it. Sent in the pictures like they asked. Saying someone will contact me. In 2-4 weeks. NO ONE ever called! I found a number to the customer service. Told them my issue again. They said I should receive the draw mid November. I waited a week after that no draw! Call the salesperson who got her manager involved and in late December they sent another draw. That..first did not match color and grain wise. Plus there was a crack now inside the draw. I called again and all they do is pacify you and said someone will call me give it 72 hours. Never got another call back. This place is horrible. $4500.00 for a bedroom set and they give me a damage piece and won't correct it at all. DO NOT SHOP at ASHLEY FURNITURE they are horrible and you will get stuck with a damage piece that they putty'd and sent to me another damaged piece. Don't waste your money here. Shame on you Ashley furniture you deserve this bad review!
My son had his first couch Christmas Eve they decide is the day to deliver well his couch doesn’t fit upstairs into his apartment like he measured.they decided that it has to be taken apart and put back together. They charged him 250 for an another guy to come out and put it together without letting him know this is what’s going to happen. It sickens me some one does business this way for a new couple it should be stated clearly prior to them leaving the store. I will totally make sure no one buys from you guys at least anyone I know! Pathetic
AWFUL! My husband and I purchased a new bedroom set back in Feb. Patiently we waited over 6 months for it to be delivered. That is where the nightmare began. Set was delivered and set up with no legs on the dresser, chest of draws, and two night tables, a broke draw in the foot board, broke draw in the chest of drawers and a crack in the headboard. After several attempts to contact Ashley I had to wait months for the legs to be delivered to set up a time for them to come and attach them. They will not come until the parts for the broken draws arrive so in the meantime I have heavy furniture with no legs laying right on my wood floors for over 4 months. Although I have spoke to a few good customer service reps through this process, none are following through to get this matter completed! I will NEVER again purchase anything from Ashley and I would discourge any family or friends to take their business elsewhere as well. Unacceptable on every level!
Horrible. I ordered furniture a few months before closing on my house. I was told in front of multiple staff members they can hold my furniture for up to 6 months. Around 4-5 month time frame, they resold my bed and mattress that paid for and was my property 2 weeks after calling them and telling them I am closing on my house in 2 weeks and I will be able to have everything delivered. I spent 10k there and didn’t receive one notification that anything of this was going on and they didn’t re order my bed until I called them. I moved into my house and I have been sleeping on couch bc Ashley furniture in Toms River resold my bed and mattress and left me with 2 night stands and dresser. This was back in November…I was told after Christmas possibly but they have no idea. The only explanation I was given was that there is a new owner. I would not shop there again.
Bruno and Jamie helped out big time with the couch I recently purchased. Definitely go into the TR location and ask for Bruno or even George and Keith. They’ll get you set up with the perfect furniture. And Jamie will make sure paperwork goes smooth.
Bought over $5k of furniture from this location and falling apart. Sales guy pushed us to get a protection plan for 5 years and now when I filed a claim to repair the bedroom set and dining table, they can’t cover these damages. Please I recommend everyone not to buy anything from Ashley’s furniture

This place is awful. Mother got three beds delivered to the house and the delivery guys ruined all three. Left them cracked, bent, and wobbly. My mom called them numerous times to request new beds since we couldn’t return them. They finally after a month only sent replacement parts and of course they were cracked, chipped, and ruined. My mom again had to fight with them and they finally agreed to pick up all the beds for a refund. They picked them up a month ago and they still haven’t refunded her. Rose the sales person is a liar and acts like everything will be fine. DO NOT COME HERE!
I bought a leather double recliner from them a year ago I'm still paying on it and I bought the protection plan from them My couch broke I did everything they said sent the pics of my couch they got back to me 2wks later saying it's out of warranty I have to go through my service plan sent them the pics weeks later NOTHING call them I get the answering service Can't get through to a real person bogus company Don't buy their protection plan it's a rip-off Every couch I buy from Ashley's breaks. I let my sales person know of my move in date (which is when I would need the furniture), but this date was never taken into consideration when picking out the furniture I needed. After taking out a line of credit to take advantage of 0% interest, I inquired about when the delivery date would be emphasizing on the move in date, and I was told to text my sales person a few days later. I had to call the store in order to find out the date which was in November (unacceptable). I asked to cancel the item that was out of stock and without my permission they refunded the whole order. I then had to call guest services to see where my refund was and they told me I HAD TO GO TO THE STORE IN ORDER TO GET IT. This was never told to me through the cancellation process that was done behind my back. I am thoroughly disappointed with this store and the experience I had. Will not be shopping here or at another Ashley again.
Ashley is the only store open in this strip mall. Huge display of furniture on the floor. Nice selection to choose from. Sales people aren't hounding you but available for help.
NEVER AGAIN! Bought two dining room sets, one in January and one in February. Took months to get the tables, one arrived damaged. District Manager approved replacement. After additional months of excuses and waiting, we had to go to the BBB to get the table replaced. Just noticed in my account, they charged me for the replacement table. Awful customer service...

I bought Furniture from Ashley the last weekend of July, my sales person was RYAN, Ryan told us he'd call the following week for an estimated delivery window. Ryan NEVER called. My furniture was delivered August 30th. 2 hours BEFORE the delivery window, the delivery people then DAMAGED my furniture upon bringing into my home. DAMAGED my porch, caused me structural issue with that, DAMAGED my walls that I had to make repairs to because of scuff marks and holes they created and then FORCED me to sign off before inspecting and telling them about the damaged furniture because they "had to leave." Ryan NEVER even called after the furniture was delivered to ask how everything went. He OBVIOUSLY received his commission cashed his check and forgot about us. Very poor Customer Service if you ask me. HOWEVER, I have called Ashley NUMEROUS times and I get nothing but a run around, the people at the store don't even answer their phone calls. I've left numerous messages. I am now left paying THOUSANDS of dollars for furniture that is DAMAGED and looks like I've had it for 20 years when I've only had it for 2 weeks. I will be loading up all of this furniture and dropping it back off to RYAN at Ashley Furniture Home Store of Toms River, because I'm not paying for Damaged furniture.
I'd like to recognize Dave Moss for his patience and understanding during my purchasing process. A wonderful man and experience. Next I'd like to recognize Ro Pilla for outstanding customer support with our bed purchase. Very knowledgeable about the product. And the care and patience she provided kept me in the store for some time picking out the right bed for my needs. I am paraplegic and the right bed makes a world of difference in my situation. Normally I would be out of my comfort zone and embarrassed transferring getting out of wheelchair and trying different beds. But her understanding of my situation made me feel right at home. I would recommend this Ashley location to anyone looking for their next purchase knowing they have people like Dave and Ro helping you out. You CAN'T go wrong! As far as the layout in the store.... Its very congested and its the only time I felt handicap while there. I have a narrower wheelchair then most and I was banging up against items on the floor. Left with a few bruised knuckles.. PLEASE review your layout and provide enough room for anyone that may visit your location. I promise it will make a world of difference in the customer experience and they'll keep coming back! The people at Ashley's near the closed AMC theater in Toms River NJ are awesome. I have no complaints about the service or quality of the furniture. I do have issues with their delivery personnel though. They were going to leave without correctly assembling my sleeper sofa. If someone had slept on it after they had tried to leave at first, second or third time, they would've probably been hurt from it falling apart. I could believe that they even said that they didn't have to put it together

They sent thugs to my house and they didn’t even install the furniture. Would not leave a woman home alone while delivering furniture… BAD IDEA! Buyer Beware Delivery company is not good!!
Terrible customer service. Bruno has been lying to my wife for a month now about fixing our issues. We have 2 pieces of damaged furniture and 2 pieces in the warehouse not delivered. A different excuse every day and now customer service has lost our notes due to a change in ownership. Do not shop here!

Horrible! Waiting on our sofa which was suppose to be here 7/8, then changed to week of 7/10, changed again to week of 7/18, now we’re told could be 6 to 18 weeks!!! Pay close attention to your contract bottom left corner, they scribble in a date they never told you about to cover themselves! I’m so aggravated and disappointed in Ashley. Person we spoke to on the phone in Toms River was short and not very helpful or understanding…Again, pay close attention to left bottom corner of contract before signing!!!

Wonderful experience purchasing our furniture from Ashley. After receiving our initial loveseats and chairs we determined they weren’t the right fit for our family. After a week we went back into Ashley and asked to return those and choose something else. Obviously this isn’t an ideal situation and we knew going in that we may not be able to return the original couch without a fee of some sort. Bruno was awesome and helped resolve the entire situation and we chose a new couch and it will be delivered by next week. We definitely recommend working with Bruno.

Purchased a living room set (couch, love seat, tables, etc) Aug 20th of 2021. Told wouldn’t be in till Dec 15th. We were willing to wait. It’s now March 19th 2022 and still no sign of our completed delivery. Only have a few pieces of our set. We are going on a four month delay.

Dont buy any furniture here! i paid 5,000 dollars for a leather reclining sectional only to have it delivered with pen on one of the pieces, of which i did call about and the first representative i spoke to was Enrique told me i would have to pay for the pen to be removed to then leave me on hold for another representative to tell me they are sending a new piece. Once the the full sectional was delivered it was plugged into the wall because it is electric control recliner only to find out both end recliner pieces are not working i then proceeded to call back and schedule for a technician to come and fix the issue and he no call no showed i then call again only to have them give me an attitude and tell me the technician was sick to then reschedule for today 11/28/2021 at 7-8 am only for the technician to not show up again so lawyer up of your buying any furniture from here

Purchased a sectional couch here a year ago. Also, I purchased the 3 year warranty, which included free cleaning and if it could not be cleaned, it would be replaced. After attempting to get the couch cleaned MULTIPLE times, I was told they are no longer honoring that warranty and they will not replace the damaged section. I paid $300 for a warranty that they will not honor. DO NOT purchase any furniture here, the place is a scam!
No pressure sales staff does NOT mean assistance is not readily available! I told Aisha at the door what I wanted, she showed me what they had, then left my wife and I alone to check it all out undisturbed. When we made our decision we had to look for her (not too hard)! We are happy with the friendly, professional service we received.
I’ve bought several items from Ashley Furniture and for the most part thought the overall experience and quality was good. I recently made my first online purchase from Ashley and was not happy that 1) the product I received didn’t resemble what it looked like online and 2) it cost me just as much to return the item as it did to buy it. I think it’s crazy that customers don’t have the option to return merchandise to the store OR have shipping costs covered when an item doesn’t meet expectations. I feel that’s a poor customer experience and would expect more from this merchant.

The other evening my wife and I went to the Ashley home store on Hooper Avenue to browse living room furniture, whole sets (sofa set and table set). We were immediately greeted by a gentleman named PT, who seemed to be in a hurry. He brought us to the living room sets and began his sales pitch. The salesman was extremely pushy to the point where it was beginning to feel rude. Fast forward, we picked out our sets, he started paperwork. Myself and my wife were, at this point thinking of just getting the sofa set and not the tables. This salesman got instantly irritated, walked away and told his coworkers that "she is getting cold feet." The audacity to show that much disrespect is appalling, especially being what I assume to be a commission employee. PT did lose a sale that evening as well as a life long customer. I understand losing two customers isn't the end of the world to such a big store, however there were stores much closer we could've gone to.
Kaela was a wonderful salesperson never once felt pressured. She knew exactly what we needed and was willing to go above and beyond to satisfying her customers. A diamond in the rough a definite asset to Ashley furniture. Thumbs up Kaela.

Went in for the Labor Day sales and left happy and excited for our new furniture. Our salesman, George, was kind and courteous. He didn’t hover, let us browse at our own pace, answered every question, and had patience when we flip flopped with our couch decision! One thing that was standoutish was the receptionist who didn’t want to answer the phone or acknowledge us while we were standing there waiting to pay. Was looking for large area carpet, asked salesman , he replied "all on the floor under the furniture " most weren't in new looking condition to get a good visual , customer walking aisles in the store had carpeting not only could have been cleaned but certainly in need of vacuuming, the furnishings were displayed ok , as long as you didnt look down at the floor, catpets should be shown in a better way , this is not a high volume store and could have been a Little cleaner

When I eventually discovered that she has only been with the company for appx 5 months, I was blown away! Her Customer Service skills are excellent. Jeremy Glassmacher helped me with the order and kept it touch with me as I waited to give me updates on delivery, which was very helpful and reassuring. I am very happy with the couch and don’t mind that I had a wait a bit to complete my living room.

Very disappointed with their non- delivery of furniture. So far 20 weeks after I was told 8-12 weeks initially. Every time I call I am given a different answer. Not very helpful.

Constantly lie about their delivery dates and will not notify you if there are delays. Every time I’ve called over the last three months I’ve been told 3-4 week delay. They won’t tell you that it’s delayed any longer because they don’t want you to cancel your order. It’s an absolute joke buying from here. Should have gone to Raymour and Flanigan. Update: called them for an update and was told end of June now which is probably still a lie. Was told this would come in February. People may enjoy their buying experience but good luck ever getting your furniture. Maybe by Thanksgiving they will deliver it.

I could not be more frustrated after purchasing a bed frame here. I received a package with the wrong parts, and reached out to have the correct pieces shipped in 10 days. After a month passes I decide to follow up a second time only to be told nothing has even shipped yet (after an initial follow up telling me it was in route to us). A package finally arrives and it isnt even the correct part. I was now told we would receive expedited shipping and alas our package has once again not shipped. Ashley does nothing to accomadate their customers after messing up NUMEROUS times, and blow you off when you reach out. Save your time and money and buy elsewhere.

PURCHASED FURNITURE GROM ASHLEY. CAME DAMGED AND WRONG COLOR. MOSTLY DAMAGED. EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN OUT MY HOUSE. HAVE PICTURES AND VIDEOS AND THEY STILL SEND ME A BILL. NOW I HAVE TO FIGHT THIS. ITS STRESSFUL AND UNNECESSARY ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY CREDITED THE ACCOUNT AND LEFT A BALANCE. I DONT GET IT. I DID DISPUTE BUT WHY DID THAT EVEN HAVE TO HAPPEN. NEXT IT WILL BE TAKEN FURTHER IF NOT TAKEN CARE OF. NEVER WILL DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLY AGAIN. I HAVE PICS AND VIDEOS OF EVERYTHING BEING TAKEN OUT. POOR QUALITY FURNITURE AND WILL RIP YOU OFF.

We went to Ashley looking.for a new sofa. We met Jeremy an awesome salesman who worked with us to get the right sofa for our home. Due to Covid it has been about 8 weeks but we are finally getting the couch on Saturday. Jeremy was awesome and texted us an update four weeks in and then when I received a text today that the couch would be delivered on Wednesday I reached out and he fixed the issue. Jeremy was able to change the delivery to Saturday, which is awesome since both my wife and I work and are not home during the week. I highly recommend the Ashley store in Toms River and if you stop in ask for Jeremy, he is awesome.

Didn't really have what I wanted but I was able to get something as comparable as what I was looking for. The girl tried to upsell me on my delivery fees. I bought a bar height table in August 2020 and received it in October 2020. I understand with the pandemic in play, shipping was behind. Not a big deal. The table was damaged by the delivery person before it even got into my house. I called Ashley Furniture and they were very apologetic and ordered me a new table leg. They call me beginning of February 2021 to tell me the tech will be out to come fix it. Great! Tech gets here this morning February 27, 2021 and he doesn’t have the table leg. So great, we both don’t have a leg to stand on(pun intended). He offers to fix it which is fine. He tells me that they ordered the leg back in January 2021 but when I call Ashley Furniture they said they ordered it in February 2021. Needless to say, I tell the nice lady I don’t want it at this point and that I will never again buy anything from Ashley Furniture. We spent a lot of money on this table and it’s not even worth the money or headache of a leg. So if your company is ok with losing customers, more power to you. I’m very disappointed with the service and the aggravation that came with buying this table.

I ordered, 4000 dollars worth of furniture online i only chose things they said were available by March 31st wasted two hours only too get a call the next day from a rude woman in the Toms River store telling me none of the things were available and someone would call me back., One week late still no call i am just going to get a refund and go to Raymour and Flanagan. I will never be back with this type of service.

I’d like to take a minute to recognize Ashley furniture in Toms River along with two people that truly helped us make our experience a positive one! We’ve shopped with Ashley furniture in the past and bought our entire household furniture from them. The old insurance company that they used was terrible and ripped us off! So, in turn, we weren’t that happy. Fast forward to recently, we decided that we loved the furniture from ashley and found out they they no longer use the old insurance company any longer. So we decided to go with them again to fill up our new house. We walked in and immediately was attracted to the sales lady Roe’s personality and professionalism! Her knowledge on putting items together and designing a space is absolutely amazing! I literally let her take the lead and roll with the entire two rooms set up! Her and along with Shawn the manager are a dream team! He knew of our past problems with the old insurance company and tried his very best to meet our budget and speed up to the best of his ability our delivery times. If you are in the Toms River area ask for Roe and Shawn!

I have been eating for my furniture since October of 2020 we are now in February so I decided to cancel . They do charge you your taxes on the day you place your order......trying to get a refund for this taxes is ridiculous I had to actually call my bank to dispute it.....GO TO A DIFFERNT ATORE BECAUSE THIS ONE IS HORRIBLE

We had the PLEASURE of working with Cindy in the Toms River NJ store on Hooper ave. Her customer service and patience was excellent!! We went shopping on Halloween looking to purchase a bedroom set, living room set and kitchen set. we were 4 weeks away from closing on our new house. Fast forward we didn't close till 5 weeks past that date. We were made aware from the start that products were delayed and it worked in our favor so that was not an issue. Cindy was extremely helpful and extremely knowledgeable due to her many years of decorating and interior design and sales. Cindy keep us informed as to our order status through out the process. I am very pleased with my visit to this store tonight. I was immediately greeted by Kaela Tate. She was super sweet, not pushy at all and helped me find the couch i love and was able to work in price range. This was the easiest transaction i ever made. Very satisfied with my experience tonight and will be returning here for future purchases.
Terrible customer service overall. I went into this store on 11/21 and bought a recliner. The lady that sold me the recliner told me to call after the holiday to set up delivery, I said no problem. The next day I wanted to change the recliner to a larger one and I called my salesperson and left a message for her to never call me back. So I had to call again and when they found out I wanted to spend more money then they called me back and told me the same thing, call after the holiday to set up delivery. So then the holiday happened and I called, 2 weeks after I had purchased it, where the receptionist told me delivery is 8-12 weeks out. So I said I wanted to talk to my salesperson and left another message with once again no call back. So I had to physically go into the store again for my salesperson to tell me to my face she never got any messages from me. The manager there over heard and looked up my recliner status. Tells me it will be in by the middle of January. So then my salesperson takes my name and number and tells me she will call in between Christmas and new years to give me another update because she was so sorry that no one had returned my calls. Well big surprise here that its now January 5th and I have not heard from anyone since I had to physically go in, which was 2 weeks before Christmas. They have some of my money and its been almost 7 weeks since I purchased the recliner and I am no closer to knowing when its coming then I was 2 months ago. Never buying from this place again.

My husband and I have been shopping around for new living room furniture for awhile now. The first time we went to Ashley we were followed around the store by a very aggressive employee and felt very uncomfortable. We went to a few other stores but ended up back at Ashley because we had seen a sectional there we liked. That time we met George and he was amazing, not pushy but very friendly. We told him exactly what we wanted and he helped us and gave us a great deal. We ordered our sectional from him and now we're just happily waiting for delivery. I honestly don't know how Ashley Furniture is still in business. I returned a defective mattress under warranty in June and still have not received a refund nearly 5 months later. The customer service is atrocious when I try to get the issue resolved and no one can be bothered to treat the customer with respect. They also threatened to hold the new couch we purchased through them until the mattress issue gets resolved which is on them!!! The most frustrating experience I have ever had to deal with.

Just had the trash they call furniture delivered. Bed frame was covered in scratches. Dresser was also covered in scratches and two of the draws couldnt even be opened. I would never spend another dime at any of there locations, I suggest taking your hard earned money and go with a different company. After I signed the contract a day later I also recived a phone call from the sales associate I worked with explaning she messed up on the pricing and I needed to pay another $200 but she was lind enough to only charge me $50. Absolute joke.
Horrible customer service no communication with customer. Waiting double time for delivery and could care less. Stick with a local small business.

I ordered a couch in the beginning of August. It is now mid October. I was told it would be here within 6-8 weeks, which already sounded excessive. It has now been two and a half months. No one has contacted me, I've called multiple times and can't get any type of status update. I've been told the manager would look into my order and call me back on multiple occasions and no one has. I paid $1,500 for this couch and haven't gotten it yet. This is easily some of the worst service I've ever received.

I ordered a bedroom set in August with a 9/8 delivery except the mirror which was to be delivered 9/24. On 9/8 the delivery truck arrived and the workers proceeded to set up the bed and dressers. As they were leaving I asked where my 2 nightstands where . They then told me for the first time that they were back ordered. If I had known I would not have accepted delivery. The nightstand were now to be delivered on 9/‘24. I have now been told that delivery won’t happen until 10/6! The mirror has been moved to mid November. I will never deal with them again as they appear to lie at will and cannot be trusted

My husband and I recently ordered new couches from Ashley. Although we were warmly greeted at the front door, our sales rep was very short and to the point and clearly just wanted to make a sale. While we fell in love with the couches we ordered, were going on 2 months now without receiving them when we were told 4-6 weeks. When I called to check the woman I spoke with on the phone was apologetic and told me that now its going to take another month due to the manufacturer just now reopening. I 100% understand this, but the kid who sold us the couches should have mentioned this to us. So..going on 3 months now without couches

*****UPDATE******NEVER AGAIN !!!! Do not shop here save yourself the stress ! I ordered a sleeper sectional back in June. I was told 3-4 weeks. I paid for it upfront. I called in July I was told oh it won’t be in until September 8th. I called again last week. I was told there was a computer glitch and they would call me back. They just called back today. Apparently now the sectional is out of stock until the end of September. Which tells me they sold my paid for product to someone else. No apology just a “if you want to cancel I understand!” No explanation! Ordered and paid for a sofa in the beginning of June, it’s now August 23rd... still haven’t gotten my sofa. Always an excuse! Today’s excuse “our computers are glitching and we will call you back in 48 hours with more information.” 🤬

We made 2 visits to the store today: I was warmly welcomed by most of the front staff when we walked inside then personally helped by Chris. I never bought a mattress for myself so this was my first time looking around for one. Chris displayed a very calm professional attitude towards myself and my mother. We understood he was helping multiple customers at the time so we were okay when he went off to help the others. A man named Justin came in to assist, and thought we’d get a better experience since it wasn’t his first day but that idea went south. I told him what I wanted, and he kept telling me what he has at his home. Rather than understanding me, I felt very pushed into one direction with him. So I ended up leaving to look around elsewhere in town and decided to come back to Ashley HomeStore after having no luck elsewhere. I walked inside and asked for Chris immediately to give him the sale. If anybody else reads my experience, PLEASE do yourself a favor and ask for Chris!! You will feel relaxed and not pressured at all during the entire experience. Thank you, it was a pleasure!!

As soon as we stepped inside the Ashley HomeStore in Toms River, NJ, we couldn’t have been happier with the level of service Pete Giordano provided. He was patient, informative, and, most importantly, he listened as we talked through finding the right furniture for our new home. When we realized we didn’t do our homework and needed to measure, we knew we had to come back and wanted Pete to take care of us. Because of the craziness that comes with buying a new home, we didn’t get to return until the last hour the store was open the next day. Pete and Chet were so genuine and thorough, they never made us feel like the process needed to be rushed just because it was closing time. We were the only two customers left in the store, but both Pete and Chet ensured we received exactly what we were looking for. It helps that the staff there really have such great personalities. After sharing some laughs and reviewing the paperwork, we left feeling like we absolutely made the right decision by purchasing our furniture at this location. It is so very easy to write a great review when people like Pete, Chet, and the ladies working in the front provide such exceptional customer service. It truly was a great experience!
George M is amazing! We came here looking for a couch that we had unfortunately ordered through raymour and Flanagan and they never delivered it. George was so helpful, he found us the exact couch and we got a great deal. He even got us delivery for the same week. We are from out of state but the purchasing process was so easy and efficient I would drive back for other furniture needs!

Moving into a brand new home, feeling very overwhelmed thinking about having to purchase all new furniture. Upon entering, we were greeted by Sean who made our experience extremely pleasant, fast, and easy. He walked us back and forth through the store, was patient, and used our floor plan to design us our entire living room. He offered suggestions without being overly assertive like other salesman’s can be. We purchased 2 sofas, tables, tv stand, and even a decorative piece. This was by far one of the best shopping experiences we have had in a furniture store! Will definitely be back when we’re ready to do the bedrooms!

Mike was an excellent salesman - he was friendly, thorough, and I didn't feel pushed into making our purchase. Around 4:15 in the evening, I had contacted the furniture store regarding an interest in outdoor furniture. Mike immediately had explained to me that the showroom had a floor sample, but he would need to approve it with a manager in order to sell it to me. He texted a picture of the set to me, and from the picture, alone, I had liked the set. I had explained to Mike that we had to get dinner in our two teenage children And that we would come to the showroom within a half hour of our conversation. He had responded back to my text, in a timely manner, and minutes before 5:00, we had arrived at the furniture store. He introduced himself, and we followed him to the outdoor furniture set. I liked the color, my husband liked the comfort, we both liked the coffee and end table, and it was great that the set included both a couch and a loveseat - in our immediate family, we have 21 other people besides the four of us. When we were sitting on the couch, we noticed a chair and ottoman that matched the set. Mike and the manager were very helpful in offering a great price, that would include the chair and ottoman. We did a little friendly bargaining back and forth, and by 5:45, we were finishing the transaction with Mike. Mike's honesty about the product was appreciated, but for both my husband and me, it was his friendly disposition that helped to make the sale. Mike should be commended for his professionalism, and he should be compensated, in addition to his commission, for his detailed information on a quick phone call that encouraged me to come into the showroom. This was a wonderful experience, and I absolutely love my outdoor set. Actually, as I'm typing this review, I'm on my new couch, I have a magazine on my lap, and I have a cup of tea on my new outdoor coffee table. Thanks, Mike.

After working with the team at the Toms River store my fiancé and I quickly realized the store environment is more of a “family” atmosphere than a “sales team”. The store manager introduced himself and took the time to break down the promotion details while ensuring that we’d have the space we need to make our own decisions. We can personally attest to our salesman’s consideration and industry knowledge to help build the ideal furniture package for our new home. George was relaxed in his approach and gave us great advice for sizing and configuration while having a “no-pressure” approach. He frequently said “I’ll be back in a few to give you guys space” which was greatly appreciated. The folks that we worked directly with and would absolutely recommend are: George - Salesperson who worked with us the entire time and saw us through all options. He was able to use pictures of our new house and make great recommendations without detailed measurements. George also did a great job of dialing us in with a room by room strategy. It kept us from bouncing around and allowed us to make easier decisions. Chet - Store Manager who educated us on the financing options and ultimately got us the delivery, financing and deposit set up. He even noted on the account our specific closing date and helped us pick a delivery date. Peter - Salesperson who we first interacted with and introduced the promotion programs going on. We casually mentioned that when we were in a few months ago and met with a salesman named George looking at some things... He immediately went and grabbed him so we kept the consistency and kept the sale with George. We truthfully have confidence referring this store to close family and friends and wanted to share how positive the experience was. The team that we worked with (George, Peter and Chet) were incredible and great to work with.

The service at Ashley furniture is perfectly fine it’s the actual furniture that’s the issue if you want your furniture only to last a few years then buy it there otherwise look elsewhere the furniture that I purchased the pillows up on top are all deflated no matter how much stuffing you put in and the material stretches when you put the stuffing in which makes it fatter not fix the problem I do not recommend buying furniture from Ashley when I called to complain about it they sent me the stuffing instead of sending somebody there to fix itBut that’s still would not have fix the problem because the stuffing that they use is not dorableNor is the material that they use.. The HomeStore is great! I had a salesman named Chet, who walked me through every bed I could afford!!! No pressure, no cheesy sales lines, had me lay on every bed for 5 minutes or more to get accurate opinion. However the Ashley HomeStore online is HORRIBLE!! I bought a whole bedroom set from them online and I'm just trying to return lamps, their still in unopened box, yet I can't get anyone on the phone, email, live chats, which btw are not live, its clearly a computer your "chatting" with its total BS!! Just go to the store you'll have a great experience!!

Mike was so very helpful!! A pleasure to work with and he was able to help me find the perfect lift chair for my mom. The 4 stars are because delivery won’t be for a week, even though the sign in the store and online both said 2 day delivery. Mike’s manager wasn’t very helpful but Mike did his best to try and help me. I would definitely ask for Mike if you go to the Toms River store.

We went to Ashley &'s to buy a dresser and a nightstand for a very small bedroom. We faced a big challenge trying to find the right size nightstand. We wanted light furniture for the space. We had looked at other places and were beginning to lose some hope. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a representative named Mike. Mike Mike to be exact. Think a camel and hump day. We explained what we needed and our dimension needs. He was instantly able to show us a dresser option, but more importantly several nightstand options. And due to his knowledge of the furniture throughout the store, we found a side table that perfectly matched the dresser, fit our space and had unexpected toots and whistles(built in electricity and cell chargers, cool). Mike made everything go seamlessly. Loved his positivity and humor. We have other Ashley furniture and their quality is very good. We would definitely work with Mike again.

Dumpster fire of a store. Held order for over a month, told the day before delivery that my order was out of stock and the closest day of delivery was in another month and a half. Will be cancelling my order and purchasing from Raymour from now on. Customer service also sent me in loops with no one qualified to help.
Michelle was extremely helpful while we were looking for a couch. We really liked a sectional couch but we weren't sure if it was going to fit and she gave us a copy of a diagram on how it would fit. We went home and measured it but it didn't fit No matter how hard we tried it wasn't going to work. Michelle took her time with us and was really nice to work with.
Mike my furniture salesman was absolutely amazing, made it fun and as stress free as possible. Had him running around the store with me as I asked a million questions that he always had an answer too. Highly recommend the Ashley furniture experience and definitely recommend using mike. I stopped in on Sunday with my fiancé to just browse around and get some ideas on purchasing a couch for our new apartment. We had no idea what we wanted and figured we probably wouldn’t be leaving with a couch that day but maybe a better idea of a style or even color. Our salesperson, Mike Favor greeted us at the door. He told us about some specials going on and let us know he’d be happy to help us find what we’re looking for but won’t be on our backs while we look around. He was honest and hilarious throughout this entire process. He answered every question I had and gave us a million different options. To a young, newly engaged couple.. this was very appreciated! We left that day to go home and take some measurements and we were right back in store the next morning to see Mike and purchase our first couch! He made the entire transaction so easy and we had a blast with him. This store is great and Mike’s service made it 100 times better! I told the GM we decided to purchase this couch mostly on how amazing we were treated in store. (The couch is very nice too!) 5 stars all around.

Mike my salesman was the best
I had a very horrible experience for a first time furniture purchase at the Toms River location. Although the sales person who assisted me was nice, he did NOT explain anything to me as I made a purchase. He fraudulently made me sign up for a credit card that I did not need or even want nor did I have to sign up for it to receive the sale. I specifically told him that I had money to put down and I was going to put the rest on my OWN credit card. Also, he did not even mention to sign up for a “line of credit” nor did he even mention a CREDIT CARD. He kept getting me to have payments for 6 months and seemed like he didn’t want to listen to me when I said over and over again I would be paying in full. The woman who helped me with the paperwork explained the process better and even told me about the warranty, which was also never explained. The manager helped a bit with the sale, which I do thank him for. And the furniture that was delivered is stunning but overall, that was the worst experience I ever had

The people who work the floor are very friendly and knowledgeable. The women behind the counter make payment easy and fast. The only thing that kept my experience from 5 stars was the computer system. The item I bought was in stock and guaranteed before christmas. My delivery was delayed twice for being out of stock and didn't receive until after New Years.
Jacci was AMAZING!!!! She helped us for hours piecing together the perfect couch and ottoman! We were there in the morning, then we went home for lunch, she got our number and put together pricing for us. We revisited the store later on and purchased the set! She went out of her way to help us! Your company should be proud to have a great worker like her !!
Toms River NJ location. George was extremely knowledgeable and patient. He worked with us to find the furniture that we were shopping for. There was no pressure to buy at all. I highly recommend this store and their sales team. Also ...long story short, I dropped my phone when i was getting out of my car and it landed in the sewer! I went in the store to ask for some assistance. without batting an eye, 3 salesman : George Moreno, Shawn Baer and Peter Giordano, hurried to help. Along with my husband , they all put their heads together, they were so kind and were able to get my phone for me. they didn't have to help me., but they did, what a wonderful group of salesmen at this store! i can never thank them enough for helping and i wanted to make sure that their kind deed did not go unnoticed. They deserve to be acknowledged for INCREDIBLE customer service, It really doesn't get and better than this! Thank you again!

My family and I had an absolute great experience yesterday at Ashley furniture. Tina Fajardo was a blast to hang out with and basically helped us do whatever we wanted/needed to so my wife was completely blown away and happy when we left! The whole team and management also literally wrapped up the experience with going above and beyond for us! We have shopped at the Toms River location on multiple occasions but this was by far the funnest. Tina you rock! Looking forward to next time.

After 1st seeing the furniture at Ashley I was a little leary. The name of the model had changed & I was already set to buy the model I had in mind. Following the ensuing confusion I called and told George I had found what I was looking for in another store at a substatially lower price. George and his manager worked out the all the kinks to my satisfaction and the final deal was struck. All this on the heels of a sudden health problem with my wife. The final price was slightly higher (@ $100+) but that included a 5 year warranty protection plan. Furniture not being something a given person buys every day I was pleased with the effort George put into this transaction! In several weeks I hope to be able to say "all's well that ends well".
I bought a recliner at this Ashley Homestore and believe that it has bedbugs in it. I have gotten bites on my legs and neck after falling asleep on this recliner. Ashley would not send someone to inspect chair or give me a new chair. I was INSULTINGLY told by someone in customer service that they don&'t have a problem with bedbugs in the warehouse and that the problem is probably in my home. Funny thing is that I have never had any bites anywhere I sleep and sit until this chair was delivered.I would rate this store with a negative star if I could.
We bought furniture for our basement and living room today and Pete was great!! He was very patient and answered all our questions. We will definitely ask for him next time we need anything for the house!

Make sure you ask for Pete when shopping here! Very friendly, knows his stuff, and a big plus is he was never pushy. They have so many different options to choose from. Your sure to find what you are looking for.
My experience has been horrible now nobody will call me back. not only when they delivered did they damage my home the delivery people tried to paint it to cover it up because I am in the process of moving in. That was on the second delivery the first delivery was a debacle also. Shop somewhere else.
Horrible, high pressure, rude 1 star only because I have to put something. Upon entering salesman began following and offering help said just looking but that wasn't good enough. He continued to recite his pitch and sales deals. Husband said thanks and salesman rudely said 'uh huh'. They lost a sale and a recommendation.

I ordered a couch from Ashley Furniture TOMS RIVER about 1 and a half months ago and was told it would be delivered December 19th before the holidays. I got a call today, December 17th that my couch would not ship nor do they have any information for me other than it might come January 8th 2020. The communication on their part was awful and letting me know so late. I now have no couch for the holidays and am not going to make an impulse buy on such a large purchase. shame on Ashley furniture TOMS RIVER store.
I bought a $9,000 bedroom set and had a lengthy conversation with Cindy in Toms River NJ about the delivery. We confirmed at least four times that they would move the old furniture to the curb and take away the old bed. Today at delivery, they would not even move the old bed out of the room! I had to do it! I just had back surgery! When I called, I was told in the same sentence that they could not move it due to insurance purposes, but then he said it was because I didn’t pay extra! $9,000 isn’t enough for them to move a mattress and two dressers!? The bed didn’t even have a frame!
The Ashley store in Tom's River is the best one for me. I was in the Eatontown store and was ready to buy a bedroom set. The set that I wanted was on sale but the couldn't have it delivered for another 3 weeks. A gentleman who was there shopping with his wife passed by and asked me for his opinion on a table that they were looking at. So I obliged him and when I walked to view the table he enlightened me. He told me that the table that they were looking at in the TR store was $400.00 cheaper than the Eatontown store. I told him Thank You and as it was to late to go to TR now but I would go in the morning . I told my friend that and she said that we should definitely check it out. So the next morning we made our way to the TR store. We were greeted at the door by George. George asked us what we were looking for and we told him and he asked us to follow him. Well he guided us to where they start the bedroom set I wanted a king size set. Lo and behold the first set that he took us to was the same set that we were looking at in the Eatontown store. I told him that this is the set that we wanted. He told us that this set was on a Manager's Special. He told me that the complete set was available for express delivery and that it could be delivered on Friday, today was Tuesday. The price was about $500.00 cheaper with the protection plan and all.. I really would recommend the TR store for anyone that is looking to purchase any furniture they will serve you just right. They will tell you about all the extra savings that you can get. Now I know there were probably more things that I could have gotten of but I am happy with the deal that I made. Last thing I really wasn't going to go to Ashley's my store was Raymour and Flanagan but they could not delivery for a few weeks as well. So my friend said let just see what Ashley's had that was similar to what I liked. I will update after the set is delivered.
I was trying to order online for at least 2 hours. They wouldn’t accept my debit card ,I waited at least 40 minutes online with no resolution. I was ready to try another store. I happened to call Kelly at the Toms River Store. My lucky day! She was so personable and helped me to place my order in minutes. If you don’t keep her forever you are all crazy!
What a nice smooth Experience in this store. We bought a few nice sofas. Cyndi was so nice, and we were in out and with getting AWSOME financing under 30-40 minutes.
My son was looking to buy furniture for his new home. Cindy was extremely patient and helpful at the Toms River location. We realized we had measured wrong and ordered a couch to large. We went back to Cindy, and she immediately helped us pick something else. It was not her fault, we gave her the wrong dimensions and she said," Don't worry, we will fix this!" Cindy put our minds at ease with her kindness and patience. We will DEFINITELY use her for any future purchases.

I was feeling overwhelmed with my decision until I met Vanessa. She was so easy to work with (and I tend to resist sales people). I bought a mattress 13 months ago and it caved in. they said it is only warrantied for 12 months. so they said they will send a man to look at it. they left a message about coming at 730 to 930. i thought it was pm. after waiting 8 days the man comes and leaves and didn't wake anyone up. it was 730 am. I never heard of a 730 am appointment. Everyone was sleeping. now they want me to wait another 8 days to look at a broken mattress. No customer service when you call. they don't care if you waste your money.
Everyone here in the store was friendly and helpful. Kelly was our sales person and she was exceptionally knowledgeable. What really sold us was her honesty and sweet personality.

Wrong color delivered ordered cream color, queen and twin sleeper sofa, they delivered dark gray. I refused it....., My dining has damage and varnish not even. And the 6 dining not deliver they where is it? Nobody calling me back how to fix it ? My party is already this Saturday 8/24/19...,.., Poor customer service, poor and quality control

My husband and I visited the Toms River Ashley store needing to furnish an entire home. David Cerreta welcomed us when we walked through the door. He was both personable and professional. After a few minutes we felt like we were shopping with an old friend. Dave truly cares about his client's happiness both with their furniture and experience in the store. I went to several furniture stores looking for a sectional that would fit my small space. I stopped at Ashley's in Toms River. Michelle greeted me , I can't say enough about Michelle. She explained to me in detail how to set up my space. She drew it out on paper in detail how it would look. Everything from picking out my bedroom furniture, to my living room, to setting up the financial part went so easy. I had told her I was actually living out of my ( suit case) so she made sure I could get my BR express ! I haven't gotten my furniture yet but so far so good. We even found some real gems along the way!! He constantly asked me if I wanted refreshments and really made me feel comfortable. I was very impressed with his professionalism how he knew every piece of furniture on the floor. Justin suggested different things to us and helped us pick out beautiful bedroom sets, kitchen set and tables for two rooms. We had a few exchanges to do and the store manager was extremely helpful. Our sales person was Rose Marie and she helped us out immensely as well as the manager Sean so all in all fun and very good experience. Rosemarie made it fun looking at everything we needed to complete a room that is very small as our mother in law is moving in.
My experience was devastating. I bought a Stearns & Foster mattress and, after 10 days, the smell had not dissipated. I was congested and sneezing from it. The main customer service refused to refund or replace without having a furniture Dr come out to "smell" it. Or... I had to keep the mattress for 30 days - while I slept on the couch. The managers and my sales person tried their best. Apparently Ashley is not interested in what their managers have to say or in keeping customers.

Such a wonderful experience! Coming into the store I was so indecisive between a few of the bedroom sets. Justin was my salesperson, he showed me all of the sets I was looking at. I came back to the store a few times and spent hours with him deciding on which one I was going to purchase. Justin made it so easy to make my decision. Te people that i spoke with were wonderful. The only down fall I have is that I have to wait 30 days for the delivery. I dont feel I should have to pay a delivery fee, when I need tp waot that long. If it wasmt for Justin and ro I would have went somewhere else .

Shopping for furniture here is like going to a used car lot. They jump on you and won't leave you alone. My husband and I left because the sales women was so pushy.

Third time purchasing furniture here. Good quality and large selection, nice that you can walk around without a salesperson hounding you. But - always something not right when trying to finish the purchase - salespeople seem to have to do manual paperwork, then get it “approved” then enter it in an antiquated computer program, then you go to the desk where it all has to be done over again. Almost not worth the time. Very inefficient and time consuming

She never “hovered” over us but was always nearby when we had a question. She was knowledgeable on the products and warranties. I was looking for new furniture and actually went to a different store at first and that salesman told me to look in Ashley’s furniture, so I went over with my daughter and had such a wonderful young man help me with my hunt for a new couch. His name is Justin Wagner. omg.... he was so patient with me as I was all over the place with what I was looking for. I left that night with something in mind , I took pics and kept my eye on their website. I kept in contact with Justin, I went back again when I saw the couch I had my eye on and a rocker glider and Justin made sure and it all went together well. When it all went on sale he was just amazing to make sure I got what I wanted and never once pressured me into something I did not want. I also purchased 2 side tables and a beautiful coffee table as well. With Justin’s help I furnished my whole living room and it looks amazing! I can’t thank Justin enough for helping me the day I purchased 5 pieces of furniture and he spent almost 2 hrs with me to make sure I was happy and satisfied with my purchase. We recently purchased a mattress and boxspring. Everything went perfectly . We tried different beds and were not rushed in any way. The service was great. Our delivery was very soon from the time we placed our order. The delivery men were very courteous and did a great job setting up the new bed and removing the old one. I recommend this store highly.
This was our first time to Ashley Furniture in Toms River and we were super impressed! We were greeted by Jacci who was well kept, laid back and knowledgeable. I gave her a brief overview of what we were looking for: a couch that was a good size for our small shore home without lacking on quality. We were hoping for power and recliners at each end. She showed us several options spending time giving us specs on each one & if she was uncertain, a manager came right over to explain. We finally ended up with exactly what we wanted for a great President’s Day price!!! Jacci was great!!! We will certainly go visit the showroom again because now I want a sofa table 😊

Purchased sofa and love seat 1 1/2 yrs ago. You sink and basically get sucked in sofa to the point you struggle to get out. Very embarrassing when you have guests and you have to direct them to sit else wear. Have platinum coverage where they sent a tech to inspect. Tech clearly saw how bad and struggled himself getting out of sofa. I heard today that issue is not covered need core cushions and more filling need for back to call customer care. Customer Care tells me out of warranty cant help. Needless to say will never by from Ashley again. A sofa should last longer than 1.5 years. Poor quality. UPDATE! I received a call from a lovely women named Cindy at Ashley. She was extremely helpful in resolving my issue. Happy to know that Ashley will stand by its furniture. Thank you for resolving and I would be happy to return to Ashley's for my furniture needs.
Patricia HI purchased a sofa and love seat about 1.5 years ago. Have issue with sinking in sofa to point you struggle to get out. During the holidays was extremely embarrassed when a guest really struggled to get out of sofa needing help. I have a 5 year Platinum protection so called and they sent tech. Even tech got sucked in to sofa and stated it shouldn&'t be with age of sofa. Protection company called today stated issue with core cushions and fill in back Not Coverered! Had me call customer care and they basically told me can&'t help you! Nice response! Ashley lost a customer here. Will never go back. Poor quality.

George was so courteous and helpful the first time I was there; understanding and helpful - yet not pushy - so, I made sure to ask for him again. I also introduced him to my daughter, who is in the market for furniture. He is knowledgeable, informative, and patient. He also listens well and makes recommendations accordingly. I purchased the Darcy sofa with chaise, as result of George’s patience with help with measurements and pricing out various options for the space in question. We ordered a sideboard from here in November 2018 scheduled delivery was for December 2018. The date came & went, when we called they said we didn’t have a scheduled delivery. It turned out they deliver to our area the 3rd Saturday of the month, the date they gave us was the 4th Saturday. So we agreed on waiting till January. So that’s today no calls, no delivery. We call & again no scheduled delivery, the manager will call you back. Hours later he calls. Sorry I forgot to schedule your delivery. With that we canceled Still waiting for emails on our refund. Never shop here, they are very incompetent. Can’t believe Ashley has these kind of employees.

Beyond upset that I decided to buy anything from this place. I first purchased the couch piece which was a hassle on its own getting the price match and dealing with my door being broke after delivery. Then my parents decided to surprise me with the love seat as a Xmas present. My delivery was scheduled 12/19 but after calling in to find out the time frame they not only told me it wasn’t scheduled but that it was on back order. Now I have to wait til January 23rd! That’s if it comes in they said. I’ll never ever buy anything from this place again
