It was a pleasure here shopping at the Ashley Store. I was recommended by my daughter. This is the second time visiting the Store, and I felt more comfortable this time around. The associates Janelle and Aminia were very patient and professional and knowledgeable. And because of that i got a great sofa at a great price. Im so happy and will be back to get more furniture.

Al greeted my husband and I and from there provided superb service through our decision and purchasing experience.

I had the pleasure to meet Alhassan and Santiago who worked collaboratively to find the dining and living room set that best suited my home space. They went above and beyond. Their customer service, patience and attention to detail won them a forever customer. I recommend anyone looking to furnish their home to Alhassan and Santiago!

We live in a townhouse that has a right entrance and they had to go waaay out of their way to carry a huge and heavy sleeper sofa across a huge area from a parking lot to our back slider door… they could have said no. I had a wonderful experience at Ashley Furniture in Union, NJ. I especially want to recognize our salesperson, Al. My mother, who is 84 years old, was moving into an apt for the first time after the loss of my father. After more than 30 years in the same home, this transition was understandably overwhelming for her. Shopping for new furniture during such an emotional time could have been stressful, but Al made the entire experience so much easier. He took the time to truly understand our needs, offering thoughtful advice on styles, sizing, and layout to make sure we selected pieces that would fit comfortably in the new space. He was incredibly patient as my mother and I walked around the store trying to figure everything out. And he never tried to oversell. His focus was on what we actually needed. There was a bed frame I had seen online but was hesitant to purchase because I didn’t want the hassle of assembling it. Al encouraged me to go ahead with the order – and then went above and beyond by coming to the apt on his day off to assemble the furniture himself. That level of dedication is rare and really appreciated. If you’re shopping at the Ashley Furniture in Union, NJ, I highly recommend asking for Al. He made a difficult time so much easier for us.

Do not use this store. They are a "licensee" store and if there's issues the corporate office not just won't help, they dont have access to even see your order. They will hound you to keep a commission but when there's an issue you have to handle everything yourself. I regret stepping foot in this store, and if I had known they are not an Ashley corporation store I would never have used them Response to the reply: they will say they are part of the ashley system but when you call customer service that is tied to Ashley they can not even see your order or help you fix your problem. So if the store messes up, and you're unhappy with them, the only people who can help you is that same store. Been in my new house with no furniture for 1½ months and will still not have a dining room table for another month probably. Do your research, find a store that you can directly communicate with the name of the companies 800 number, not having to keep going back to the people who did you wrong like a battered consumer

My order came on time. The delivery men were fast and efficient with the setting up of the furniture and they took all their boxes with them. The reps of the store where courteous and knowledgeable and helpful everytime I had contacted them. This is one of Ashley's Home locations.

I was pleasantly surprised with Ashley Furniture in Union, NJ! I have been in the hunt for a dining table and decided to go to Ashley after no success with other stores. As soon as I walked in,a sales associate named Pamela greeted me with a warm smile and guided me through the whole process. She also invited me to product specialist to assist and he was equally professional and genuine. They were extremely patient and not pushy. I ended up finding the perfect table! The delivery was handled extremely well- communication was excellent! The delivery me removed their shoes before coming in and put my table together efficiently. Overall, I have a newfound love for Ashley. And if you want to see furniture in person and not take a chance online I highly recommend Ashley as they carry furniture ranging from modern to transitional and traditional. Absolutely Horrible Experience – Beware of Ashley Furniture ‼️ Ashley Furniture sold me a defective sofa with extremely poor cushioning. When you sit down, you can literally feel the hard bone-like frame on the sides. It’s uncomfortable and clearly a manufacturing issue. I contacted them within 3 weeks of purchase asking for an exchange, and they completely refused to honor it. Instead, they tried to charge me a 35% “exchange fee”, which is nothing but robbery. On top of that, they demanded delivery fees and even a fee just to break down the old piece. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. They push you from one person to another. I’ve spoken to the store sales team, the manager, and even the online affiliates, and every single one of them has a different story. No one gives a straight answer, and no one actually helps. Ashley Furniture does not stand behind their products, and they do not care about their customers. I will never shop with them again, and I strongly warn others to stay away. To anyone considering buying from Ashley Furniture: please stay far away. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Their products are poor quality, their customer service is a nightmare, and their policies are designed to trap you and squeeze every dollar out of you once they have your money. They talk nicely before the sale, but once you have an issue, you’re on your own. No accountability, no honesty, no solutions—just fees, excuses, and disrespect. If you value your money, your comfort, and your sanity, go anywhere else. Ashley Furniture will scam you, waste your time, and leave you stuck with furniture you can’t even use. Consider this your warning.

Want to post my story relating to this store so others have some knowledge going into their experience here. It's a long one but please do read. My girlfriend and I have needed a new couch for our place for a while. We looked for a while and ended up here, and low and behold we found a great mattress on sale. Our salesperson, Carl, was very nice, gave us space, gave us information, and we decided to go with the couch. It took us nearly an hour to decide but we go there. He told us about the white glove service which included assembly of the furniture and offered us a warranty. These were the only two items presented to us. We went with the white glove delivery but declined the warranty. We were assured it would be assembled in our apartment since we said the hallway to our place was thin and assembly was necessary. Carl assured us this was fine. We paid and scheduled delivery for 2 weeks out. No problem. Well we get to delivery day and the delivery drivers bring our couch to the door already fully assembled (this was not mentioned to us in any way that it came pre-assembled). They try for like 5 minutes to get it through the door, then took pictures and gave up. They handed us off to the customer service line where we said it shouldn't have come pre assembled since we paid for delivery which included assembly. They then told us that the only assembly included (which was never mentioned by our sales person) was the pillows being put on the couch (YES THEY THINK THAT IS ASSEMBLY) and putting the feet on. They then told us it would cost another $180 dollars (for a $700 couch) for "breakdown" service, where they take it back, disassemble the product (it shouldn't have come assembled), then bring it another day. We told them we weren't declining service, rather they were bait and switching us and we demanded they bring it back disassembled as that is what we already paid for. We contacted the BBB for a follow up and the representative who responded said we were in fact offered the 180 dollar service in the first place from our sales rep (which we never were, again, we were offered white glove delivery and a warranty for 160, not 180). This is a straight up lie. They also tried to say we cancelled the delivery, which we never did, so again a lie (that's 2). As of now they still have our money, the couch, and a declined delivery they said we made but never did. If we did cancel the service we shoudl have been refunded. As of now they have not provided one service, nor the product we purchased for after withholding information from us and claiming they have offered services which they did not do until after the failed delivery where they did not properly explain assembly for that specific piece we purchased. This store and company should be ashamed of themselves and buyers must beware. Do not fall for their bait and switch tactics. Please take your money and time elsewhere as they will waste both.

Edit to update: Today is 9/9/25- spoke to 3 different reps in the Ashley customer service dept. (Not the actual store) I cancelled an order I purchased on 9/3 at the Union, NJ Ashley location the very next day. I have been trying to get a refund for the mattress and the warranty and still after 3 reps and 6 days later I have not received a refund or any sort of communication from ANYONE at the actual Ashley store. I was told by all 3 reps they have notified management at the Ashley store and they have even escalated my ticket. I was also told even they cannot even get in touch with any manager/employee at the Ashley store, and still have yet to do so! I am also being charged almost $300 for a warranty for the item I have cancelled and I should have already received a refund for the mattress and the warranty! This is horrible customer service!! I don't understand how you can run a store and not allow customers to call the actual store!! I will continue to write updates until I get my refund!! I have been trying to get in touch with someone at the Union, NJ Ashely store and it is impossible!! I have sent e-mails, texts and spoke with someone on the phone regarding cancelation of my order from Wednesday night at this location!! Someone needs to contact me immediately from this store! I don't want to have to leave a negative review.

When I purchased my furniture a 5 year coverage plan was sold to me and I was told it covers any and every type of damage. Well come to find out that’s not true! Buyers beware, if you purchase the plan and a damage occurs there’s a tier 1 and tier 2 and after you paid $100.. for the initial coverage you may have to pay $100 for the damage to be covered. So I’m left with 2 options, have someone come fix the damage, which they did and it’s terrible or getting a credit that does not even come close to the price of my table. I’ve called Ashley furniture for help and they never call back and the protection plan is just as useless. They just want more money. I attached a photo of before and after it was “corrected”.

Worse store ever, don’t waste your time and money in there…they don’t have a return policy but they don’t refund or exchange any item/s that you paid for. They are so ridiculous by no recognizing that in the USA any person is entitled to get their money back when an item is not what it was expected. To start, this 1-start is not for this store, but Ashley Store Online Store. The crew here in Union was was easy to work with for our in store purchase and delivery of our bedroom furniture set. I am not sure where else to post this to be able to share how unfortunate the customer support is for Ashley Online Store. For our online Ashley order, I mistakenly made an order where the expected delivery window would be at a time I will not be home for several days. I called within 15 minutes of placing the order asking for a delay in shipping. I was told they would cancel the order and I could re-order when the timing was better. The following day, the online order showed that it was not cancelled and was processing. So I went through the cancellation processes for the order on their website and received confirmation they were working on the request. Two days later, I receive an email saying that the order cannot be cancelled as it is expected to ship soon. Soon being within 1-2 days based on several phone calls and using their Live Chat. I am very frustrated and confused on how an order that has not shipped cannot be cancelled. How calling within 15 minutes of placing the order for cancellation was not good enough. This experience will prevent me from considering Ashley for any future purchases and does not leave me hopeful if there is a time we need to use the Protection plan we purchased with our bedroom set a few months ago.

I just left your Store on Route 22 in Union, NJ. The salesman, Jordan Rosario was phenomenal ! Initially I was there in December to look around. He politely introduced himself and asked what items was I searching for. Directed to those areas and told me he would allow me time to look and he would return. I went to a few more stores and due to the fact that I was pressured to purchase I left the store. Tonight I went back Jordan and to my surprise he remembered me. We looked til I found what I wanted. His professionalism and empathy is just heartwarming. My fiancè is ill and presently hospitalized. So to hear his kind words were well appreciated. Despite spending over $3000 it was well spent. Jordan is a true asset to your company. Treat him well and I will definitely be back.

Finally got a delivery date and today was delivered. 2-13-24 What a mess. The salesperson victor figueroa lies to us. Never disclose that the hybrid mattress I waited for over 2 months was a mattress in a box. I would have NEVER purchased , especially what I paid for it. This was a gift for my daughter new apt. Now that she accepted delivery. With no clue it was not the correct mattress . It’s a final purchase sale with no returns. What a bait and switch move. Again unbelievable service!!! Sul was the name of the manager in training that helped my mom and I find a queen size bed at the Union location in New Jersey and he was beyond amazing. His patient and kindness helped my mother get exactly what she wanted!! And I couldn’t be happier as a result.

Overall a good experience- nice store & nice associates. However, the associate tried to charge us $600 MORE for a dining set than the online price! When we pointed out the discrepancy, he happily matched the price, saying he didn’t know it was available as a dining set, and that the increased price resulted from him charging for each individual piece. We believed him at first, however, we later overheard a different associate do the same thing to another customer! Just be careful & check the online prices before over-paying by hundreds.

I am extremely happy that we decided to come here to buy our furniture. Alhassan was not only helpful from start to finish, but patient with us changing our mind over and over. Though he was our main guy, the other staff members were also very nice. I would highly recommend this place!

Alhassan who assisted me at the Union Location on Morris Avenue is the definition of someone who goes above and beyond.
