All in all the merchandise was fine. My complaint is about the staff, I don’t know how many times I declined the insurance coverage and for some reason, it was still added to the bill. The first rep Javarius, kept insisting on it, saying “everyone who declines it always needs it, you wouldn’t want your kid to mess it up, sometimes things get scuffed and stained “ after I REPEATED myself to him “I live alone, I take care of my things, I do not have kids that mess things up I don’t need it.” He brought his manager Belkis to persuade. Again I kept saying no, she then said she’s going to add the coverage free of charge , but when I look at the receipt, there it was. When I asked for it to be removed they said they could not. That is not right if a person is repeatedly saying “no I do not want this” that they go ahead and add it any way. My purchase has been made but I doubt I’ll go back.

Terrible service! I placed an order online, and they charged me immediately. After several weeks, they canceled the order, supposedly because the product was unavailable. Thinking it would be better, I decided to go to the store directly and place the order there. I bought a living room set on November 24, 2025, and they gave me a delivery date of December 13, 2025. This was perfect for me because I had a family event from December 31, 2025, to January 6, 2026. A family member was going to be staying at my house, which is why I bought the living room set. We had to find a hotel at the last minute because they never delivered the sofa bed, and even today, January 9, 2026, they still haven't delivered anything. I am very upset with the terrible service. Never buying in this store again 😡

Just bought my mom a beautiful set, we found the couch and chaise online and came in person to double check the quality and color. Breyanna helped us through the entire process and we’re extremely happy that the delivery ETA went from 2-3 week to only 1 week 🥳 they also priced matched their online prices which was also amazing! This is the worst branch and the worst possible customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. Everyone here is a bunch of liars and extremely rude and disrespectful and never say the truth. They will do anything just to make a sale and butter you up but when it comes to actually having the item in stock to sell to you, they are back ordered and make you wait months and months for the items. I had to make multiple trips to this location to confirm delivery dates and every time I’m there I was told I would get a phone call from the person that had sold us the item and never received a phone call. I was also told that our delivery date was confirmed in person just to find out by calling the company that it was a lie, and it was never confirmed which now brings us back. We were told multiple times that Michael would give us a call when we were never given his business card and still waiting for a phone call from him and it’s been weeks. This place is a scam!!!!! be very, very cautious when making an order with them and make sure that they have everything that they are promising to deliver in stock with a set delivery date proof. Otherwise, they will try to sell you stuff that are not in stock and make you wait months and months in advance without even giving you a heads up that you will have to wait. They will only tell you once they collect your money and you make multiple trips to the location in person. Extremely rude and unprofessional, spoke to multiple branch managers and absolutely got nowhere with it , Very weird selling scheme that they have going on

Hands down the worst service experience I have ever had. Ashley’s Furniture was an absolute disaster from beginning to end. Their delivery team failed at the first delivery attempt, offered excuses about a breakdown, and then followed it up with an embarrassingly incompetent delivery attempt the second time around. The delivery team put in little to no effort, showed zero professionalism, and clearly did not care about doing their job. Communication was completely disorganized which caused unnecessary delays. Even after paying extra just to get the furniture into the house, we were met with attitudes, defensiveness, and total disregard for our experience. There was no accountability at any point—only shifting blame and excuses. For the amount of money we paid, this level of service is beyond unacceptable. It’s shocking that a company this large operates with such low standards. Instead of helping when we raised legitimate concerns, they dismissed us, implied it was our fault, and casually admitted that this kind of failure is “typical” for their delivery drivers. That alone should be a major red flag to anyone considering them. After my final experience with them bringing in my fireplace as a replacement, I decided to cancel my remaining order. It has been nothing but a nightmare every single time. I cannot handle another disappointing experience—especially with a company that prefers to blame the customer instead of fixing their own failures especially around the holidays. I strongly recommend not shopping here. You have been warned.

The experience at Ashley from purchase to delivery was very smooth and pleasant. We worked with Mike our salesman who was very knowledgeable about the product , and addressed all my concerns. The delivery date was exactly as stated and they kept us informed up to date of delivery. They provided a link so It was quite easy to track the time and location of when delivery would be made. Delivery was also top notch. The guys were very quick and setup was a breeze. Thanks Ashley for the great service 😃 !

Went to Ashley's Furniture to find my mom a couch and ended up getting a dining room set as well! Entering the store was easy and accessible as I had my baby in the stroller and needed the elevator. Once we arrived we were greeted immediately. Fatou was the woman who helped us and she was able to show my mom several pieces she had interest in. Although my mom wouldn't budge from the couch she saw online, Fatou made it easy to add to her order and my mom was also able to get a kitchen set since she was approved for the store card. The process was quick and easy and my mom is so excited to get her new goodies. Thank you Fatou, we will see you soon!

Her approach was totally unacceptable, rude , and disrespectful. I felt comfortable speaking to Tyson , he listened to my problem and helped resolve it . His approach was welcoming, respectful and knowledgeable. Bellies walked away saying she's not looking at me when I'm talking to her ! She was saying this to her coworkers quite loud and I heard her .That's extremely rude , unprofessional & very bad customer service .I have never encountered any Ashley employees speaking like that about or to me . Tyson resolved my issue and I was greatful for his assistance. This needs to be addressed. If it wasn't for Tyson , Ashley would have have lost a customer .

I went to Ashley looking to buy a Dinning room set. I was greeted by Miss. Brey, I explained to her the type of table I was looking for, she took me to the show room. My wife and mother in law went and bought sofas from Ashley. But after having them for a few months I have advised them to never buy it from there again. Poor quality furniture! Extremely dangerous staples are sticking out sharply from the bottom of the sofas. Once they tore my wife’s shirt, today they cut my forearm, and in another occasion the staples got stuck inside the cushion, luckily I didn’t pull the cushion strong enough or else it would of tore. This is after using the hammer and bending whatever staples we found.

I visited Ashley’s at Bay Plaza on 8/31 to purchase a sofa for my mom, and had a great experience thanks to Ms. Breyanna. She was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process. A small but thoughtful gesture—offering us water—really stood out and made the visit more comfortable. By the end of our visit, we ended up purchasing both a sofa and a coffee table. The next day, my mom changed her mind about the sofa, so we returned to the store to explore other options. Although Breyanna was assisting another customer when we arrived, she came over as soon as she was free and again kindly offered us water. I decided to exchange the sofa, and Breyanna took the time to clearly explain the transaction and the updated balance, which I truly appreciated. My mom purchased a mattress for herself and a twin bed for me on May 27th at the Bay Plaza store. Her mattress was delivered on the expected delivery date of June 6th. It's completely unacceptable that I had to wait until yesterday to receive my bed. Years ago I purchased 4 rooms of furniture from Bob's and everything was delivered on the expected delivery date. That's the first problem. Then I requested the COI numerous times, it wasn't done until the day before the mattress was delivered and that's only because I reminded the workers through customer service. Very poor communication through the different parts of this company. Lastly a week before my bed arrived, someone called my mom and told her that she owed an additional $200 to have my queen size bed disassembled. I lost it on him. My mom already paid to have it disassembled/removed. We ended up going in to the store trying to cancel the order for the bed. I was trying to go to Bob's for my twin size bed. First I encountered a rude salesman, then I spoke to a manager, Kevon, who told me that we didn't owe any more money but we had to take the headboard and drawers out. So we did. We ended up paying people to disassemble and throw out the bed because they knew the delivery guys were going to complain. Sure enough, my drawers from the queen size bed were left behind. The delivery guy said you can call for removal from the workers in your building. Why did my mom pay $200?Imagine if the whole damn bed would have been there????? Very unhappy and I will never buy furniture from this company ever again. It's a shame because the furniture is very nice.

I had the best experienced at The Ashely Homestore in Baychester. John Souffront was friendly and extremely knowledgeable with the types of mattresses they have for sale. My mother is extremely picky but John had so much patience and made her feel so comfortable. He even got a pillow for my mom so she was able to lay down and try one of the mattress. The entire staff were friendly and they made sure we were well taken care of! I highly recommend this place.

Just went to this location and even though we had an ashley credit card they wanted a down payment. Why have a credit card and I still have to take money out of my pocket. As we were trying to finalize everything we were told we needed an expiration date for my card and it couldn't be processed. So we thought nothing was done and said we'll come back with what they needed. But we decided to go look somewhere else, the outlet furniture in pelham and look at god, we got a matress, and bedroom set for $2300, good quality and $1000 cheaper. And tried to sell us a $300 mattress cover. What? So we wanted to cancel cuz we found a better price and we were told to come in to cancel even though nothing was supposed to be processed. As we were waiting, one of the sales people that helped us, John, got upset and said I spent all these hours with you and I dont need the attitude. Not good customer service in front of the customer. If that's his response to any customer he shouldn't be there working. Very unprofessional and we won't be spending our money here.

I ordered a mattress on February 27th and the money was debited from my bank account then credited back. I was extremely confused about how this went about, because on March 2nd they charged the money and when the mattress was delivered the money was sitting in my account again. I called customer service and was told that the money was charged and finalized. It made absolutely no sense, because it was still sitting my account. This is absolute craziness debiting and crediting and no one was able to tell me that the money was still pending to be charged. This is beyond ridiculous. I just made a decision not to order from Ashley’s again. This company should be concerned that they have so many negative reviews that can eventually put them out of business.

The delivery men that delivered my furniture from Ashley were friendly and very nice and we're very quick and good at putting the furniture together... They removed all the garbage and took the old furniture away. They did a fantastic job! I went to the Ashley's in Bay plaza and when I came up the escalator I was greeted by Tiana. Tiana made me feel like I was the friend next door she was professional yet made me feel like my purchase matter to her. Tiana did a great job and the managers as well that I spoke to. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and my first experience with Ashley and it will definitely not be my last.

My daughter and I ordered matching recliners but in different colors from Ashleys on Central Avenue in Yonkers NY. My daughter received her recliners but when mine came in, they were not the same recliners and extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately I was not home when they were delivered as my husband had Hip Replacement and could not be home due to complications. When I finally got back home, I called the sales lady I worked with and she said she wasn't able to do anything. I called the main support number and they had the nerve to say I needed to pay a restocking fee and delivery fee, even though it was their error. After spending thousands on Ashley's furnishing my entire home over the years and opening credit cards, I will never order from Ashley's again. They do not take accountability for their error and expect their customers to flip the bill. It is absolutely disgusting and disheartening.

I made several purchases for my house worth over 10k which included a set of tables for the living room which were sent to me with cracked glass, they took it that same day no one called me to give me a solution, I had to call many times and it took 3 weeks to send me the same tables that had scratches, I called the Robinson agent who helped us when I bought it and he put it off saying that he was going to speak to the manager and that he would call me back later, he never did! A week ago I received a call saying that Robinson had canceled my order without my authorization and until now I do not have the tables or my refund.

BEWARE. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!!!!!! SALESPERSON ANGEL MORA LIED ABOUT CREDIT CARD PROMOTION TO MAKE A SALE. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was sold a couch by Angel Mora in June 2023. I opened an Ashley furniture credit card and Angel repeatedly told me that the card was 2 years interest free, and I felt that 2 years to pay a $2000 couch was doable. I felt rushed to sign the pages and pages of paperwork and asked him one last time about the interest and he looked at me and firmly said yes, no interest, 2 years. I have since then paid off around half of the price of the couch. A couple of weeks ago, I received a $600 interest charge on my account because Angel lied. The promotion was only one year long, and there was a deferred interest charge on the SALE, not my balance. So everything I have been paying is pretty much erased because he wanted to make his sale. On top of that, the couch SUCKS. I live in a 2 person household and we are rarely home to sit on the couch for extended periods of time. There is extreme pilling on the cushions and they look way older than 1 year old. I have the 5 year worry free protection plan, but of course it doesn’t cover wear of the cushions. I have called the store on a number of occasions to speak to a manager, but I am met on the phone by people who tell me “they don’t know when the manager is coming in”. Save yourself the stress and avoid this store, and all Ashley Furniture stores in the future.

My mom ordered furniture from here and the in-store service was amazing. The installation and support however, were trash. The installation team didn't screw in all of the slats and some of the slats that were screwed in were not done so properly. My 1 year old was able to lift the last slat up and take a screw out. When we called customer service, the associate was no help and instead of sending the installation team back to fix THEIR mistake, the agent made us schedule another service visit which means taking another day off from work because their earliest availability is a week from now. Furthermore, the installation team was rude to my mother and dismissive. The sales team was wonderful but everyone else was awful.

Bad quality, bought sectional sofas had it only for three years and they look horrible now. I have no kids and I live alone there shouldn’t be any reason the sofa looks horrible after 3 years. Delivery is disgusting! I will never order from them again! I paid 299.00 delivery for 5/24 and the delivered on 5/23 while I was at work so I had to scramble to get someone to my home. Shernane was absolutely the best sales person I have encountered. I walked into the store with no intention of purchasing something. Having been in the sales business for a few years I don’t like pushy sales people. The first thing I did upon entering was telling her that I just wanted to browse, while giving me detailed product information and what sets her aside from her competitors she let me wander around the store with no pressure. However she was always hovering making sure that she could answer any possible questions I may have. I would like to add that I was not at all an easy customer. I changed my mind like 4 times and even in all of that, I showed her my place and she helped me come up with options of what would look right in my new home. She grabbed chairs and put them next to my couch on opposite sides of her showroom just to show me how they colors and would combine. In doing so she showed me how eager she was to help me come together with something that worked for me and not what was to her benefit. She stayed past her closing time just to make sure we can come to an agreement of what comfortably worked for me, offering all financing options available. I went to an Ashley’s before coming to Bay Plaza and they weren’t very helpful. Although I had no intention of purchasing she made my experience worth while and I couldn’t think of anyone else that deserved my business more. If you go here please look for her ! She knows what it means to provide knowledgeable, reasonable, and patient customer service. She was not only a sales person but a great interior designer. Please promote her ! From the welcoming greeting, to identifying what I was shopping for, Breyanna was patient and efficient at making sure that I was comfortable and capable of finding exactly what I wanted. It has been a while since I was given true customer service, that focused on the customer more than the sale. I had to come into the store and when I did I spoke with a Store Manager Dantrell and he assures be it was canceled but could not provide confirmation stating I will receive it in email. After 24 hours I had not received an email. It was a hassle back and forth with customer service to get this order canceled. A lot of wasted time!!!!! To cancel an order. Therefore, be mindful shipping there if there is a possibility will change your devision.

I had a wonderful experience purchasing the item that I was looking far from Ashley. The young lady named Mary was very pleasant and very courteous and most of all very professional. I even learned that they have Starbucks coffee. I knew about Chai Latte through my grandson but I had never tasted it and I love it. Now I just hope the item I purchased arrives in excellent condition as I’m expecting it and as beautiful as it looked in the photo Mary showed me. Don't buy from Ashley Furniture that breaks down after two years of use. They offer you the five year warranty but when you request service the out source company they use 5 Star Service which should be called Zero Star Service says it it's not covered. I bought a wardrobe chest the railing tracks are damaged and they say it's not cover. I have a chest wardrobe older than the crap I bought at Ashley that is in way better condition. Mrs. Keiasha That was very nice of you to apologize. But poor customer service, your sales people are fast to sell, and talk about a five year warranty, but the over price furniture doesn't even last 2 years. And all you could say is sorry instead of looking for a way to fix the problem. To give your customers satisfaction. I have things from IKEA that's over 10 years that are in better condition. The dining room set I bought from your store still stands because we only use it when we have guests, the dining table we use daily is from IKEA. In less than 2 years the railings on the chest wardrobe started falling apart, after spending almost $400.00 on it. No it has become expensive disposable furniture. We have a chest wardrobe that I pay way less and has been moved around, has out lasted your brand. Meanwhile your brand has been in the same spot since it was delivered.
