My daughter and I ordered matching recliners but in different colors from Ashleys on Central Avenue in Yonkers NY. My daughter received her recliners but when mine came in, they were not the same recliners and extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately I was not home when they were delivered as my husband had Hip Replacement and could not be home due to complications. When I finally got back home, I called the sales lady I worked with and she said she wasn't able to do anything. I called the main support number and they had the nerve to say I needed to pay a restocking fee and delivery fee, even though it was their error. After spending thousands on Ashley's furnishing my entire home over the years and opening credit cards, I will never order from Ashley's again. They do not take accountability for their error and expect their customers to flip the bill. It is absolutely disgusting and disheartening.
Robinson was so helpful it was our first time shopping for couches, we didn’t know exactly what we wanted but he made it easy for us answering all of our questions and giving suggestions.

I made several purchases for my house worth over 10k which included a set of tables for the living room which were sent to me with cracked glass, they took it that same day no one called me to give me a solution, I had to call many times and it took 3 weeks to send me the same tables that had scratches, I called the Robinson agent who helped us when I bought it and he put it off saying that he was going to speak to the manager and that he would call me back later, he never did! A week ago I received a call saying that Robinson had canceled my order without my authorization and until now I do not have the tables or my refund.
I had the best sales experience at the Baychester location. The customer service experience was world class. My rep Shernane was professional, friendly and always seeking to get you the best for the money. She made will make you feel at ease and instill her vast knowledge of product to you. This is my third purchase with her and I will continue to make my purchases with her. You will never feel forced or pressured into purchasing anything from her. In store experience was great, HOWEVER, the delivery… terrible !!!! Delivered the wrong bed TWICE! And when I’ve reached out SEVERAL TIMES about it, their store policy is to give me the run around. I just want to be compensated and move on, they just want to keep my money in their pockets!!! Admit your faults and do right by your customers! Making a report to the BBB and moving on!

BEWARE. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!!!!!! SALESPERSON ANGEL MORA LIED ABOUT CREDIT CARD PROMOTION TO MAKE A SALE. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was sold a couch by Angel Mora in June 2023. I opened an Ashley furniture credit card and Angel repeatedly told me that the card was 2 years interest free, and I felt that 2 years to pay a $2000 couch was doable. I felt rushed to sign the pages and pages of paperwork and asked him one last time about the interest and he looked at me and firmly said yes, no interest, 2 years. I have since then paid off around half of the price of the couch. A couple of weeks ago, I received a $600 interest charge on my account because Angel lied. The promotion was only one year long, and there was a deferred interest charge on the SALE, not my balance. So everything I have been paying is pretty much erased because he wanted to make his sale. On top of that, the couch SUCKS. I live in a 2 person household and we are rarely home to sit on the couch for extended periods of time. There is extreme pilling on the cushions and they look way older than 1 year old. I have the 5 year worry free protection plan, but of course it doesn’t cover wear of the cushions. I have called the store on a number of occasions to speak to a manager, but I am met on the phone by people who tell me “they don’t know when the manager is coming in”. Save yourself the stress and avoid this store, and all Ashley Furniture stores in the future.

My mom ordered furniture from here and the in-store service was amazing. The installation and support however, were trash. The installation team didn't screw in all of the slats and some of the slats that were screwed in were not done so properly. My 1 year old was able to lift the last slat up and take a screw out. When we called customer service, the associate was no help and instead of sending the installation team back to fix THEIR mistake, the agent made us schedule another service visit which means taking another day off from work because their earliest availability is a week from now. Furthermore, the installation team was rude to my mother and dismissive. The sales team was wonderful but everyone else was awful.

My experience with Ashley's was AMAZING. The quality of the furniture is great, and the prices are fantastic. I was greeted as soon as I stepped into the store. The workers there are amazing and kind. David helped me purchase a sofa and a mattress. He was super sweet and assisted me throughout my entire visit. Mike was also very kind and helpful with the financing and delivery process. Finally, John was extremely entertaining and kind, making it feel like a family at Ashley's. It was a great experience for me.

Bad quality, bought sectional sofas had it only for three years and they look horrible now. I have no kids and I live alone there shouldn’t be any reason the sofa looks horrible after 3 years. I also got five years warranty and when I put a claim, they said they couldn’t do anything about it. I pay extra money for no reason. I will never shop here again.
Priscilla was amazing and patient, would definitely want to work with her again in the near future. Highly recommend her with her beautiful smile and bubbly attitude. Best part of my experience is that she wasn’t pushy. She allowed us to view the showroom in peace and gave us her contact info. That allowed us to look but without anyone on too of us which I find very annoying. She would come answer our questions and provide feedback. When we were ready, I called her to finalize everything.

Delivery is disgusting! I will never order from them again! I paid 299.00 delivery for 5/24 and the delivered on 5/23 while I was at work so I had to scramble to get someone to my home. An important piece is missing to be told 6/12 and now they’re saying 7/16!!! I was so looking forward to order with Ashley furniture but after this I’ll go back to Bobs!

Shernane was absolutely the best sales person I have encountered. I walked into the store with no intention of purchasing something. Having been in the sales business for a few years I don’t like pushy sales people. The first thing I did upon entering was telling her that I just wanted to browse, while giving me detailed product information and what sets her aside from her competitors she let me wander around the store with no pressure. However she was always hovering making sure that she could answer any possible questions I may have. I would like to add that I was not at all an easy customer. I changed my mind like 4 times and even in all of that, I showed her my place and she helped me come up with options of what would look right in my new home. She grabbed chairs and put them next to my couch on opposite sides of her showroom just to show me how they colors and would combine. In doing so she showed me how eager she was to help me come together with something that worked for me and not what was to her benefit. She stayed past her closing time just to make sure we can come to an agreement of what comfortably worked for me, offering all financing options available. I went to an Ashley’s before coming to Bay Plaza and they weren’t very helpful. Although I had no intention of purchasing she made my experience worth while and I couldn’t think of anyone else that deserved my business more. If you go here please look for her ! She knows what it means to provide knowledgeable, reasonable, and patient customer service. She was not only a sales person but a great interior designer. Please promote her ! From the welcoming greeting, to identifying what I was shopping for, Breyanna was patient and efficient at making sure that I was comfortable and capable of finding exactly what I wanted. I would like to point out that Breyanna was very knowledgeable in regards to all of the products and Ashley’s offerings. It has been a while since I was given true customer service, that focused on the customer more than the sale. I would normally wait until after delivery to write a review but after such a positive experience, this needed to be shared. Give that girl a raise!
I have been furniture shopping for a few months. Naturally, I have gotten an opportunity to deal with several sales people in that time. My typical experience is either being fully ignored, or feeling forced to make decisions I wasn’t totally pleased with. But during my time with Patrick at Ashley Furniture at Bay Plaza I felt seen, heard and respected. Patrick was kind and patient as we spoke about why I was there. He gave me insight regarding fabric details based on my needs. I did not feel rushed or as if I were impeding on his time - the store was close to closing when I went by. And I was there really to see what they had. But Patrick’s easy tone and manner made all the difference for me. I had no intention of buying that evening, just perusing. I decided against a purchase and wanted to cancel it before shipping. Bay Plaza location gave me a hard time. I had to come into the store and when I did I spoke with a Store Manager Dantrell and he assures be it was canceled but could not provide confirmation stating I will receive it in email. After 24 hours I had not received an email. It was a hassle back and forth with customer service to get this order canceled. A lot of wasted time!!!!! To cancel an order. Therefore, be mindful shipping there if there is a possibility will change your devision.

I ordered TWO bedroom sets. The first one - the 5-drawer test was broken. They couldn't replace the item because it's been discontinued. Next is the Master Bedroom, the 5-drawer chest had to go back because it was broken, along with TWO nightstands. The mirror to my dresser was the WRONG MIRROR. Now I'm waiting on all those items. As far as the discontinued item goes, I ordered another piece from that specific bedroom collection and it will be delivered in two weeks. WHY DO I GET A FEELING IN MY GUT that EVERYTHING I replaced will be broken again. I should have gone to Raymour and Flanagan. BTW, the customer service is very nice. I have no issues with anyone at the store. I just think that with all the bad reviews you guys get, that you would make sure that stuff like this doesn't happen.

I would like to thank Michael for his help and support in helping my husband and I in finding beds for our 2 kids. He had patience and made sure my daughter liked the bed and mattress she wanted and was comfortable with. She tested all mattresses out and he helped up out. I had a 3000 credit with Ashley's and I guess because I haven't used it in a long time it was deactivated. Michael helped me out with that even though it took a long time he was very patient and helped us to the max literally the store closed and he was still helping!

I shopped at Ashley furniture store located in the Bronx Bay Plaza mall and experienced outstanding customer service from all the sales reps that attended to me. I bought my mattress to go with an adjustable frame, a couch that I initially ordered and canceled from 1stoppedbedtoom, which I don’t recommend, and a countertop table. All looked like quality furniture that was worth purchasing and I can’t wait to have them delivered to my apartment. I’m glad I had shopped from a reputable manufacturer. Thanks to the Sale Reps and Ashley.

Upon arriving to this location, myself and my wife were greeted by Adrianna who was very welcoming. In addition to Adrianna, we were also introduced to John to help assist with our bed selections for our new apartment. I gotta say that the experience was the most gratifying that I've ever experienced. Both sales representatives were informative, kind, social and wanted the best for us. When going to furniture stores, you know in sales they fight for commission and they just care about closing. However, this felt like it wasn't just a transaction. Both Adrianna and John provided the best of the best. Therefore, if you go to Ashley Furniture in Bay Plaza, go to either one or ask for both.

This review is in regard to the customer service, not the furniture. The furniture has always been a great quality from Ashley's. My husband and I recently went into the store in Bay Plaza to see a set visually before purchasing. When we entered, Priscilla greeted us warmly and told us to see her if we have any questions. I appreciated her calmness and for not being too pushy. Once we couldn't find the set we wanted we asked for her assistance and she told us it wasn't on the floor. She did show us a model that was made of the same material for us to compare, which was appreciated as it helped us realize we need to look for another option. Priscilla showed us a set that was around the same color but with a better material and we instantly loved it. She gave us the sale price and when we were on the fence on whether we should buy, Priscilla made the mistake of calling her "floor manager" to see what she can do. While I don't have her name, I overheard her talking to her team as we browsed and she was loud, unprofessional and a little rude, so when she walked over I knew we were in for it. Her sales tactic is to bully customers into buying things because they are so "rare." She walked over and said "I understand you fell in love with a set so you came back to see it again" definitely wasn't the scenario but I'll proceed. "You're lucky it's this price" "If you can't afford it, you can always buy another set that is cheaper" "You won't find it anywhere else" she ran through these lines like she was reading a script. So I bluntly asked "So you are saying all of this because you can't anything about the price?" She said yes. I mentioned that our latest experience at Raymour and Flannigan where they were able to lower the cost of our bedroom set and she respond with "Yeah they can lie to you when it always the price offered" As an HR professional, this "floor manager" is a HR nightmare and she definitely requires training. The last item that finally made us leave was when she assumed we needed financing and once again said "If you don't have the money, we have financing options" I asked if there was a discount if we paid upfront and her response was "we are all adults, you said you just bought a bedroom set and are moving financing is definitely the option." Long story short: Ashley's furniture is literally sold at almost EVERY furniture retailer and I was able to get my living room set from another distributor at a better price. Customer Service and courtesy (as shown by Priscilla) should be awarded, but the likes of the "floor manager" is the reason people aren't buying in the stores as much as they used to. Ashley's Furniture be warned of your HR mess at the Bay Plaza location.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! I went in this store to purchase a couch for my living room. They are quick to sell you furniture, open up credit line, and schedule delivery date. They never once mention door measurements therefore at the time of delivery the guys could not bring the couch in. All the salesperson said was they were going to set up. I have been going back and forth with their customer service reps which are extremely rude and still waiting for manager from the store to reach out to me. ITS BEEN OVER 2 WEEKS!!!! NO COUCH, NO PHONE CALL FROM MANAGER, AND IF I WANT TO CANCEL, THEY WILL KEEP THE DELIVERY FEE. Seriously?? It was not my fault!!! SMH ON ASHLEY NOW IM IN THE LIMBO

I was very satisfied with the customer service I received at Ashley’s. The sales associate that helped me was friendly, very welcoming. He listened to my needs and helped me find exactly what I was looking for in a sectional. At the same time was excellent with my kids, as was other staff members, whenever my kids were bored and made it almost impossible for me to shop. Staff was kid friendly. I appreciate that as well. If I could give no stars I would. If you need to buy furniture I would recommend you save yourself the headache and buy somewhere else. The sales rep that attended us was new a very nice but the manager that assisted her apparently can't tell left from right. We bought a sectional couch and he told us we would get to choose what side to put the chase in when they come to deliver. On delivery the installer said it can only go on the side that was placed on the order. Putting that aside there's so much that has gone wrong with this order. First they called us passed the delivery time scheduled to say their truck broke down but that we would be the first stop the next day at 5:30am. They didn't actually come untill like 7 or 8am. Total waste of time. They assembled our furniture and don't even have the common decency to tell us that some of the parts are broken. In fact they made sure to sneakily hide it and make it look like it was put together right. Naturally I call to get it serviced. They tell me to send pictures, which I do, and then tell me to call back for clarification on what pieces they need to order but when I call back it's like talking to a wall. They say I'll get a call back but they don't call back. The customer service is truly disgusting and they are incredibly rude and unhelpful. I had to call back again and finally someone there was not incompetent and helped clarify with me all the pieces that needed to be ordered and added them on a separate order and had the common decency to explain how the process will move forward after this. Now I'm waiting for the pieces to arrive for them to come and service everything but I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow find a way to mess this up and make it much more difficult than it has to be. Like I said save yourself the time and headache. I know for as long as I live I will never buy furniture from this place again. Update: It is now July. Honestly the incompetence knows no bounds. First they send me the wrong replacement part twice even though I told them the item through picture, item number, description, by phone and email. They also sent me a broken replacement piece. Then when I finally have all the correct pieces I call and the customer service agent says they only have 1 day available to fo the rapirs. No future dates. As if my world is supposed to revolve around them. They should be working with the customer to find a date that works for both. It's been months since I have been dealing with this absolute trash customer service.

Poor customer service. I purchased a dining room set and was under the impression that the price included the warranty. I contacted customer service because one of the chairs tore and was informed that I did not have a warranty. I was informed that the store had a 12 month warranty and it was 12 days after the 12 month warranty expired and I was denied further assistance. I have two bed room sets and living room furniture from Ashley and have always purchased the warranty and I was still denied assistance. I will never purchase anything from Ashley ever again. They have lost a customer. I wish I could give zero stars.

My daughter an I went to Ashley's home store to purchase a recliner for my birthday gift. We finally settled on a recliner rocker for me. I just love it. The representative Christian was great even though I knew what I wanted he was great to work with. The delivery was right on time on delivery day. When the guys delivered the recliner while they were there they called the store. The gentleman I spoke to asked me questions about my delivery an about the recliner. And if everything was OK. What a nice way to do business. Will definitely shop there again.

This is the worst experience I’ve had purchasing furniture, especially at Ashley. I’ve purchased so many items from Ashley that this is really disappointing. We went into this location to buy a bed for our son . Our salesman was Ahmed Essaid . Long story short he wasn’t much help , I felt like someone robbed me . He was dealing with another customer at the same time ( the store wasn’t busy ) I felt like , all he did was took out credit card . Honestly after making the purchase I really wasn’t happy . I think once I started to feel that way I should’ve just walked out . the delivery information was all wrong from what was given . The info on the receipt wasn’t what they had , how is that possible. The bed wasn’t put together , if fell apart . A tech had to come out . Just overall bad experience!!!!

I had the best experience today shopping for a recliner for my dad. Russell Riley was my sale advisor and his charming personality and keen knowledge of items I wanted purchase made it easy for me to decide what I wanted to purchase for my dad. I also decided that I’m going to purchase bedroom furniture next month. I really like the atmosphere at that location. All the staff were attentive and friendly. I was even offered a cup of Starbucks coffee!!!

Horrible experience. I visited the bay plaza store in the Bronx. I was in the store for awhile trying to decide what furniture best suited me. The sales rep showed me one that I really liked, and I finally decided that was the . I was at work when the merchandise was delivered, when I got home in the evening I messaged the sales rep to let her know that the merchandise that I received was not the one I ordered. She did not respond. I was unable to get to the store on time I went back a few days later to let them know I needed and exchange I needed what I ordered and they said they could do nothing to help me. I called customer service. I sent pics via email to show them everything was mismatched and they still say they can’t do anything to help me. Mind you I went back within 2 weeks. It’s very disheartening that I spent all this time trying to get something for my new apt. And still received the wrong thing. The bed was damaged and I didn’t even mention that all I wanted was for me to get exactly what I ordered. My experience was horrible. Customer service is bad and I’m never going back to an Ashley furniture store again. I wasn’t asking to return I needed what I ordered. Don’t buy from Ashley furniture. They’ll mess up your order and give you what they want and you can’t do nothing about it. Very disappointed!
I decided to be more intentional with my sofa purchase this time and did a lot of online research before going to the store. I've purchased sofas from Bob's discount and Raymour and Flanigan. Being unhappy with my prior purchases, this time I figured let me give Ashley Furniture a try. With more intention, I was all over the store going back and forth sitting laying throwing myself all over the sofas to make my decision. For the first time it was actually fun to shop for sofas and I don't know why I haven't done it this way before. The staff that helped were very knowledgeable and kind. Allowing my crazy self to do what I needed to do in order to come to a decision and asking me all the right questions including door dimensions for delivery. I learned I needed it to come dismantled and get built in my home in order to fit the elevator. When I was ready to decide, she was there helping me finalize my purchase. I was really happy with the fact that the sofa I had researched online was in the showroom to try it out. But I was torn between two styles. It took me a whole hour to finally make my decision and after receiving my delivery today I'm very happy with my decision. Sturdy and comfortable with lovely neutral stone color and size that fits my decor and theme. I hope that I feel the same for years to come since nowadays quality suffers with longevity. My fingers are crossed that this time that is not the case!

If you live in a small building with small access points this is the store for you. They can garuntee delivery of any furniture on the floor which is amazing because they have a great selection. You can pay out right or finance, and the delivery is usually within the week. The sales man, i think his name is Jose was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, patient and friendly. He did not try to pressure sell us so it was a very comfortable shopping experience. The delivery crew came and they were efficient, kind and professional. Definitely going back to Ashley's Bay Plaza for sure!

I recently moved to a new apartment upstate New York and I decided to patronize Ashley furnitures. Their extremely rude customer service team have one goal in mind… to upsell you as a customer. They are not focused on customer satisfaction at all. Also, they’re extremely bad at quality control of their items thereby sending you damaged items and hiding vital information that would help you make a firm decision as a customer. I bought two Sofas and a love seat from Ashley and not one of their team members brought up door measurements. I thought the sofa would come in dismantled and they would put it together inside the house but Ashley came with the furniture fully mantled. Knowing fully well that most fully mantled sofas would not fit most doors. So right there they said there’s an extra service cost of about $300 to dismantle each sofa and put them back together inside. They then offered that the love seat could fit my narrow stairway and door. The crew eventually damaged the love seat while bringing in the love seat due to them squeezing it in through the stairway. I contacted the store that I’ll like return this love seat and buy three other more expensive ones but they refused to help in any way by saying all sales are final. Meanwhile this was 3 days after the delivery. I contacted the head office and they said they have a three to seven business day return policy on delivered item but this location still refused to help in any way. The customer service attendant got extremely rude over the phone and became so unwilling to help. Their point is so long as you have the furniture in your home, they don’t care anymore. So before you put your time and money into this company, proceed with caution because their main goal is to upsell you, hide vital information from you, drop their furniture in your apartment and become rude towards you because of their lack of quality control most especially when it comes to products getting damaged on delivery. I’ll never patronize this store any because of how I was treated and also how they treat others in my presence… you can also go through other reviews. Shame on you Ashley on being one of the biggest frauds amongst other fraudulent companies!

The worst service i have EVER experienced. the store originally told me i was buying real leather, when in fact its fake leather. the store also told me the couch would be good for the next 5-10 years. after one year the couch is so sunkin in you cannot even sit on it. i had to go to the back doctor for my pain due to the couch. i weigh 170 lbs, a couch that is over $1200 should not do this. never buy from ashley furniture. i guarantee you can get a much better couch from any other company. also, they are refusing to exchange the couch for another one. biggest ripoff ive ever experienced. again, do not buy anything from here!!!! Oh, and they also told me if I want the couch fixed that I need to pay out of pocket for a technician. ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A STORE AND COMPANY

So I walked into Ashley's because I couldn't get what I needed from another furniture store. I was greeted by 1 Sales person and he asked Patrick to help me because he was busy. Well I'm thankful that he did! Patrick was very polite, professional, knowledgeable, helpful.... and extremely patient. He really worked with my price range, measurements, and really did his best to help me with the color and size couch I wanted and needed in order for it to be delivered (a delivery failed because the couch could not fit in the elevator nor the stairwell and it was very difficult to get the other store to work with my needs). Thanks Patrick! It is very unfortunate, however, I am editing my initial review because I found out that Patrick had no idea what he was talking about.

This is a great location. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a gentleman named Amin. I knew what I was looking for and asked him for assistance finding the item on the floor. He was able to match the price listing as their website entailed. Amin was super helpful and friendly. I was very pleased with my purchase. Thank you to management for approving the sale price. I can’t wait to receive my glider recliner. My newborn will thank me for it! I recommend this location and ask for Amin you won’t be disappointed. *Update* 7/1/22 Their repair services take forever! I received a faulty recliner. I reported it immediately (within an hour of receiving it) to the delivery guy who said someone will be In touch. That was not the case because there wasnt a ticket in the system when I called 5 days later! It took about a week for someone to reach out to me before they scheduled a tech to come and observe the piece. Waited an extra week for that. Then the following week the tech’s order was processed for a replacement. Also no one called me to inform me it’s status. I had to call a week later to find out what was up with my replacement part! Then I’m told it takes 7-10 days to be processed. Now my piece is being delivered on day 13 by FedEx. The worse part I live in a small apartment and the tech can’t come over until four days from now! What the heck!? I have a baby in my home I can’t have large boxes laying around like this. SHAME ON YOU ASHLEY’s. I won’t ever buy from you again. It took them a whole month and a week to complete this task. This was their issue for their lack of quality checks.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Absolutely no professionalism in this store, went to speak with two associates to help us resolve an issue with an order that weren’t working that day. So, the manager, Hector, made an appointment for us with them the next day and when I come back the next day, those two associates weren't even in the store. Absolutely ridiculous that I had to drive all the way there for no reason at all and when I went to speak to him about it he was “busy” talking to a client when he was literally just walking around and then had a meeting all of a sudden with another employee after I spoke up about it. Let me tell you about the TOP TIER CUSTOMER SERVICE my family and I received at Ashley Outlet at 2233 Flatbush Ave. My family and I walked into Ashley Outlet 10 mins prior to closing and not one time did we hear anyone say we’re closing in 10 mins. We were immediately greeted by Denis with a smile and he began asking questions about our needs. My mother gave him the breakdown of her needs and he casually walked us around the store to potential check out different living room sets. Then Denis introduced us to Ernest who assisted us as well and together both of these gentlemen provided TOP TIER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I’ve never received customer service at this level before at a furniture store and I applaud these men. They both ended up staying almost an hour late and not once did either of them complain. Thank you Denis and Ernest!!!! My family and I greatly appreciate your hard work. Ashley needs to reward these men for their outstanding TOP TIER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Even tho I didnt find the exact sectional I wanted that paticular day, they invited me back into their showroom to explore even more options. Not only did Abdul help me land on the perfect sectional that day, he ensured that the sofa would be delievered to me just in time for the superbowl. I walked into Ashley’s with a slim idea of what exactly I wanted for my new apartment. Luckily for me, I was greeted and assisted by Abdul. Abdul was not only extremely professional and polite, he was also very patient and respectful. Abdul did not overcrowd me or overwhelm me, instead he made me feel comfortable and assured me that I can take as long as I need to look around. Eventually, with his help and David’s help (who he called over for confirmation of financing questions) I found my bedroom set. The process was quick and easy. Abdul and David were doing their job excellently and truly helped my husband and I. We felt at ease and all our questions were answered. On one delivery, the guy left a nightstand in the box in the corner of another room, so I didn't even know it was there. Another delivery the guy didn't set up my recliners so I didn't know where the wires were to plug them all in. On a 3rd delivery, the guy didn't put the table together, instead he left the extra pieces to extend the table on the floor so I had to call for service. And now I'm waiting for my final delivery this Saturday and I was JUST told they're missing pieces that will come in ANOTHER MONTH!! This is crazy! I wish the delivery people were as good as the salespeople.... smh

I honestly am disappointed that I have to write a negative review about my experience. The in-store experience was not bad at all. Chris, who is the mattress specialist was very kind, and helpful in deciding which mattress was best for my mother. I was buying a bed for my mother for Christmas. The sales person, Jaime was also very kind and stood with us the entire time. The cost of the bed was a bit pricey, however, I bought it cause I knew my mother was going to love it. They offered me 12 month's 0% interest on the bed if I financed the bed, so I did it at the price they offered me. The bed itself was a foam sealy mattress with an adjustable base that reclines at the head and feet, as well as having a massage feature. I told Chris that I wanted the exact model that my mother tried out. I felt great about the purchase and my mother was excited about the bed. The experience just goes downhill from here. When the mattress was delivered along with the base, my mother did not realize that the adjustable base was the incorrect one. It did not have the massaging feature that she loved. Upon calling, because at this point the delivery people left, the stores' sales representative said that she will call me back after she investigated. I get a call shortly after and I was informed that Chris accidentally inputted the SKU number wrong and that the base on the receipt was correct but not the one that I had originally wanted. I was told that I would be responsible for the price difference which was over $1000. The store admitted to their mistake. I do not want to pay over $1000 for the mistake of the store. Not only that, I was robbed of the decision to take out the finance for a product that was going to be an extra $1000+. I told them to cancel the entire order and pick up the product because I was not given what was promised. I honestly felt bamboozled. I felt as if the sales representatives were more concerned about me opening up a finance account rather than focusing on their work. Upon calling the store I was informed by the sales person to call customer care. Customer care informed me that I have to deal directly with the store. I have been having this back and forth with the store and customer care for a few days now. The last response I got from the sales representative Jaime was that it is out of her hands and there is nothing her or the store could do for me, that corporate will be reaching out to me. I contacted customer service once more and they informed me that the store has not indicated to customer care or corporate responsibility for this and they are still waiting for a reply. At this point I am still waiting for a response about how to proceed. I am so disappointed that the store cannot simply allow me to return everything for their mistake. DO NOT COME HERE. THEY WILL BE EXTRA KIND TO YOU UPON ARRIVAL TO GET A SALE OUT OF YOU. HOWEVER, ONCE THE SALE IS COMPLETED AND DELIVERY IS MADE, THEY DO NOT HELP. IF YOU DO DECIDE TO PURCHASE SOMETHING HERE, MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS GOOD UPON DELIVERY. CHECK EVERYTHING, INCLUDING THE REMOTE THAT COMES WITH THE BED. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, DO NOT TAKE HELP FROM CHRIS. HE WAS THE ONE WHO MESSED UP THE ORDER ACCORDING TO THEIR SALES PERSON, JAIME.

The worst furniture shopping experience ever. I would never go back here. My delivery date was rescheduled multiple times and the delivery staff since they are a separate entity from Ashley furniture they have the right to refuse to deliver your items. I spoke with several individuals from customer care and they told me it was nothing they can do. The driver claimed they were 4 minutes away to refuse to come into my building over an incident that occurred a block away. I spoke with Anthony at customer care who stated they would come back later in the day for me to call back hours later and be told the are refusing to come back today. I took a day off of work and threw away my mattress. I now have to wait until Monday and take another day off of work because the delivery staff has the right to make the final decision on if they “feel” like making a delivery. Ashley’s has no control of when deliveries occur. This is just my delivery experience which I haven’t event began to discuss my purchasing experience which was not easy as well. Buyer be aware.

Horrible experience!! Items were not available and no one contacted me to let me know. I found out the day of the delivery, they only brought one night stand, the mirror, and the chest. I had to go in person to the store, twice, the same day. Called custumer service and the information I got, totally different. My items (head board, foot board, another night stand, accent bench and the dresser) will not be available until next year, the only option they gave me was to get a different foot board which it made no sense because it was not going to match the head board nor the frame. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM OR RECOMMENDED IT TO ANY FRIENDS OR FAMILY. 👎👎👎👎

I spend earlier in the day shopping for living room furniture and was frustrated with yes we have it but it's in containers, with an expected 3 months waiting period. Just then I said let me go to Ashley's. I entered and the best thing happened, Sales Rep John S. This young man friendly, professional, and knew about his company. Did you know Ashley's Furniture Store manufacturers the pieces they sell. I completely love this gentleman. I can have my furniture. He also corrected the delivery mistake, with accountability. My Budget was originally for $2,800. The fact that Rosette was so informed and listened to what my interest were, Her professionalism encouraged me to increase my budget to complete the move in to my new residence. Priscilla Asaana is an unprofessional salesperson. She delayed my order by 3 months and threatened to make sure I would not receive my items. I had to escalate this issue to Corporate Customer Care Escalations. The store manager Paul made unauthorized changes to my order that further delayed items being delivered. Empty promises were made by Patrick Rosario who said he would send an apology for the inconvenience yet never followed up. I cannot recommend this store to anyone. Customer Care is under trained and not staffed to handle issues that are in-store. I was redirected back to the store, where I was refused service or was subjected to my order having unauthorized changes. Customer care will also send you to different departments who are mostly unable to help. Beware.

Cancelled my delivery date multiple times. But they charged my credit card in full, on the date I placed the order. My emails and calls were met with more delays and excuses. I will not shop there anymore.
Upon walking in I was promptly assisted by WILLIAM without an appointment. He was poised, professional, and straight to the point. I told him what I was looking for and we immediately began to look for what I wanted. He showed me other adds-on but once I expressed I only wanted my original option he stuck to it. He showed me a range of options and he was able to explain the differences between each. I appreciated his balance of follow-up and giving me time on my own without him around to try out the mattress. Eventually I ended up purchasing without any pushy or annoying tactics from him. Terrible experience with the piece of my bed. I had a missing piece of a bed that we bought at Ashley Bay plaza. We ordered the piece since the beginning of August and yet nobody can tell us the where about of the piece.No apologies from the manager and attitude as well. I use to like that store but I got so disappointed with them.A full company that expect a customer to know what they should have under control. An expensive bed that we should through because of unprofessionalism of the company.Thank you Mister manager of being so unprofessional.Better not lose a piece of your item guys.I wish I could just put a 0 star instead.

I was moving to a new home on 09/2021 so Ordered my bed on 08/01/2021 and I was scheduled to delivery on 08/26/2021. They failed to deliver and rescheduled me for 09/03/2021. I had to sleep on floor those 3 days but they again failed to deliver and told me to wait another week! Terrible !

Patient and attentive to what I wanted I am still smiling at my choice. Dinorah came into the picture and as a team they helped me find a mattress that has me sleeping like a baby. drool and all. Jim is the only one that followed up But still nothing resolved!!! THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!

I would not recommend anyone to shop here. I order a twin mattress on June 2, in the store. I was given a delivery date of 6/15. Then on the day before I get a message that's out of stock. Then I went back to the store and Patrick the Manager and the sale agent Christopher both tried to get me another mattress that was supposed to be in stock. I was then giving another delivery date for June 25th. Once again I was notified that it's out of stock. Then once again I go back to the store and spoke to another sales Agent Akida and Manager Hector. They both Promise and guaranteed that they would get me another mattress that would come on 6/7/2. It came a it was the wrong mattress. And I'm having problems with Rectifying the problem. DON'T TRUST THIS STORE.... They are not trustworthy and just want to take your money, And don't care about the customer's and whoever's the owner or manger of this location he too, is not of help I think his name is Jerry Cook. DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME THERE... THIS STORE HAS SOME DISHONEST GROUP OF PEOPLE WORKING THERE.... BE AWARE.....
If I could give this location zero stars I would. The lack of communication and wait time has been extremely unprofessional. We ordered enough furniture to furnish a 3 bedroom apartment in mid April and are still waiting on two-thirds of it to get delivered with estimated delivery dates in late July/August. I had a confirmed delivery for today and just found out the delivery date was moved and this wasn’t communicated with me. I had to be the one to call corporate since the store never answers the phone.

Placed an order with Kiana on 5/24/21! A kind considerate associate that took her time introducing various furniture to us and explaining how they would suit our needs. She also let us know that the delivery time would be long for some of our items and placed them on rush delivery. Our items are scheduled to come in roughly next month or so so I'll be updating my review to 5-stars if they come in with no problems. :) The purchasing experience was flawless and I'm hoping delivery is the same.
Purchased an item on 4/27/21 and was assured by sales associate P......k that it would be delivered within less than a month. Obviously this didn’t happen. Called 800 number after a month went by and was told item would be at the warehouse by 6/9/21. Call on 6/8/21 to make sure order was on time, this time was told it would be in warehouse by early July. Told the 800 number agent to cancel my order and was advised to go to the store. Went to the store the same day only to be told that a manager wasn’t there to cancel my order. Sales associate attempted to save the sale and said manager was going to make a “special request” to give him until next day. Called the next day, they had a “power outage”. Sent text msg to sales associate to confirm order was canceled by manager but did not receive any response only after I had written an email to customer care to cancel my order. Terrible experience. Would not buy from this place ever.
I purchased Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Bed from them. I chose the bed I wanted and told them the bed I wanted when in reality they sent me the wrong bed and said that's what I wanted. I did not think they were that absent minded to not confirm that I wanted the third bed I was shown and to cover their error the blame me by saying that's what I signed for. I was never informed of the model each adjustable bast was only of the quality of the mattress. The purpose of the purchase was to accommodate my needs after a surgery I had to have. I requested an exchange for the one I wanted which now I know was an enhanced or smart base and was told no refund or exchange. The thought that they are willing to lose thousand dollars extra just to save face is amazing.I will never purchase from Ashley Furniture if they are the last furniture store on the planet.

Two weeks ago I went to purchase my sofas after months of shopping. I finally settled with what I thought was a good fit. I live on a fourth floor walk up so I made sure I paid for the furniture to be broken down ahead. This gave the delivery people ample time to break it down. I’m a full time employee and do not have a flexible schedule. My schedule is extremely tight so I like to have things done when they are supposed to. Sunday night prior to my tue delivery I get a call from the delivery dept at Ashley’s for them to tell me they did not break down the furniture in time and I won’t be getting my delivery tue. When I asked why not he said that I had paid for furniture break down and it didn’t get done in time. When I asked why not, he simply stated he will not make up excuses it just did not get done. I then asked so when will I get my furniture, he said customer service will call you with a different date. He then proceeded to tell me to say it wasn’t to my expectations or something like that but I told him that’s not the reason I didn’t get the furniture it was on your end. He again proceeded to say I won’t make any excuses. That Monday I then called the person at the store who sold me the furniture and he assured me my furniture was on the truck he didn’t know why I got that phone call and I have nothing to worry about. I called customer service they reassured me. So I went ahead and prepped my living room tue night after a long day of work. Tue morning the customer service lady stated I wasn’t getting my furniture. This is the most unprofessional store I’ve ever dealt with and I will be going in promptly for a full refund. Unbelievable. If I could give zero stars I would.

After a year of Covid and sitting more than usual on our couch it was time for a new one. 3 children can really take a toll on leather. We decided to take a trip to this Ashley home store. We arrived around 5 p.m and departured around 6:30. We were greeted nicely and assisted instantly. Kiana had the best personality for the job. She was amazing and patient. She provided us with knowledge on the many types of leather and different styles of couches. Because of her, we had a remarkable experience. Unfortunately, due to COVID we had to wait almost two months to receive the couch. It was delivered this morning and exactly what we expected. Ashley furniture needs more employees like Kiana.

If you want great items but horrible service... This is the place. The items purchased were amazing, can not complain about that but the service after the sale is just horrible. Patrick, said our purchase came with a bed frame but no headboard so we went ahead and ordered a headboard to go with the bed frame that was supposed to come with “the package”. He also said that the items would be delivered and assembled, he clearly said to tell the delivery men to place the mattress protector on the mattress after assembling all items. Well the day of the delivery they could not do that because apparently it was just an in home drop off. Immediately I contacted him but he did not answer my call nor text. In the meantime I spoke to customer service through a phone call and they said nothing could be done if I did not get in contact with him, which I find ridiculous, corporate should ALWAYS have a way to contact and manage situations were a customer can not reach a salesperson nor store. Then I opted to chat with someone virtually who at least sent them an email explaining the situation. It took him two days to get back to me because I said I would return everything. He said he was going to find out what happened and get back to me... Two days later NOTHING!!! I had to go into the store to speak to a manager, Luciano, who said corporate can pick up ALL items and refund them or he was going to try and find the inquiry and see what could be done. This was from May 10th, 2021 and still nothing has been resolved. Corporate seems to say they can not refund items that have already been delivered and yet their own store sales manager says otherwise... Not only were the staff friendly and patient, they were also knowledgable about every home furnishing item they carry. Peter gave such great recommendations on mattresses and his knowledge of each model was extensive. I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I had such a great experience at this this store and I plan to return again soon for other items.

I am so happy I went with Ashley Furniture to furnish my living room at my new apartment. My Trusted Advisor was Janicia Ottley at the Baychester Avenue store, she was great! She listened to our wants and needs and took her time with us. She even helped me get an increase in financing so that I could purchase all the pieces I wanted at once. All the pieces were in stock so she booked my furniture delivery and I received my living room furniture in 3 days! I was a little indecisive at first on what to go with but I am so happy she took the time to explain things about the different pieces I was looking at because I really believe she helped me make the best choice. I am elated with my furniture! Great quality and durability, I know the pieces will last me and my family for years to come!

I bought a $100 foam topper for my mattress to sleep comfortably. Hufsa has been horrible and I’ve called numerous times asking for some sort of update or compensation and every time I’ve been told “ we will get back to you “. order#019216665 was placed on 2/09/2021 for a bedroom set with under bed storage for $1,400. was told within 48 hours a delivery date was going to be emailed to us. 2 days later nothing and after calling the store a being told there wasn't a date anytime soon for delivery because it wasn't in stock we went to the store and asked for explanation which was simplified with it was an error on our part. so the order was changed for a different bedroom set entirely that was in stock. delivery date was given feb.25 and a few days prior we called for status and was told the item was partially being delivered because it wasn't in stock.after calling the store and complaining to corporate we were promised a called back from the store which i never received.after the delivery was delivered the chest and boards were delivered. the bed could not be mounted on anything still sleeping on the floor i called again corporate and was promised a call back once again but from management in corporate and never received it. We have consistently been lied to with delivery dates dates and whether or not the item is available. Ali Hufsa was the sales person who has not followed up on the situation ever. Julia was a sales person on a previous purchased i made and she was the only person helping me by trying to explain the situations ever changing outcomes. She was not obligated to help and is the only reason why i delayed filing a complaint but its out of her grasp for explanations to why we are being told the end of the month for the rest of the bed. why must we sleep on the floor over a month for something i could have gone else where and would have been sleeping comfortable. Problem with commission jobs is that a sale is the ultimate goal regardless of whether item is in stock. now that they have the money i'm obligated to just sit on my floor and wait? Not right at all i advise anyone to not shop there . other orders place at that store totaling over 10k have been made with similar issues.
I was helped by William. First thing coming into ashley's, my partner and I were greeted by William and he was amazing. So patient and very good at answering our questions. We were given space to browse and we were checked up on often. He took the time to find out final prices for us without us asking. As first time couch buyers, we felt so comfortable and very attended to! Most of the couches weren't my style and I didn't buy anything on my first visit, but the kindness we were showed (and I saw a couple couches I might decide between) makes it more likely that we will come back after more browsing.

I am completely disgusted with this company. I purchased a sectional from a location in The Bronx and I was super excited because it's so beautiful. The sofa part of the sectional was damaged and the delivery person advised so they sent it back to the warehouse while I still kept the luv seat and wedge. The delivery person placed the wedge and luv seat where we would like (against the wall) but unfortunately as they were headed back to do other deliveries we noticed the wedge was broken as well. The luv seat is torn as well. We reached out to Corporate office in the Bronx and the store and they said my only option is to have someone come to repair it because it was already placed in our home. There is no way for this wedge to be fixed. February 15th 2021 I received my delivery. February 16th 2021 the sofa was returned as a full refund. I did not ask for a refund I just wanted it to be exchanged for a power reclining sofa but they took upon their selves to fully refund it with no anticipation to send a new one. Ashley furniture Corporate advised it will take 7-10 business days to receive the full refund for the sofa. Still have yet to receive the full refund as it already has been 7-10 business days that has passed. Every time I reach out to Corporate not only is the person really angry and possibly hate their job, they also give me no solution to the problem. Their suggestion is to go to the store where I purchased the sectional. Basically I have to go to the store to find out where my refund is. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life.

We walked in Ashley’s furniture store in the Bronx (Bay Plaza), Shernane Gunter greeted us politely and professional. She walked with us and answered all our questions. Made us feel comfortable as well. My husband and I were renovating our entire home. Shernane made sure we’d find what we were looking for. And that was living room and two bedroom sets. I can honestly say the only downfall was delivery. Delivery was broken into four separate days due to the pandemic and a misunderstanding. But other than that inconvenience I highly recommend Shernane. She was very attentive to to us on the day of the purchase and moving forward till my delivery was completed.. Trust me you won’t be disappointed with her! Good job Shernane Gunter!! 👍🏼

my mom purchased a sofa in november 29th 2020 & this took almost 3 months for them to deliver the sofa. we received it in february 13th 2021. each time they arrived for ‘delivery’ the delivery guys were stating they brought the wrong couch & was a mistake. however this issue has clearly been constant due to the timing it took to arrive. the cost of this sofa was $1,298. it is now february 23rd 2021 & my mom received an email from Ashley’s Furniture claiming she owes $1,700. In confusion to all of us as a family, my mom was told clear that the sofa she purchased was $1,298 by the sales associate named Patt which apparently is his name written in the paper he gave to contact. we live in a small private house. there’s no way my mom would spend $1,700 for a couch. today she went into the store to talk about the issue. she was told by the manager that the guy Patt made her sign a $1,700 contract after he switched the other $1,298 contract showing her & quote “this is all you have to pay”. basically scammed/robbed my mother. making her sign a $1,700 contract when it should’ve been $1,298. customer service is horrible here. this store needs to close due to the amount of negativity they cause. the manager failed to help my mother nor cared to apologize. the sales associate who done to this to my mother wasn’t there. he is also avoiding calls from my mother which is another red flag. the other sales ppl were giving eye contact as if they knew what was up. in the obvious they’re silent only because they work there. you can tell we aren’t the only victim in this if you scroll & witness other 1 star reviews. other stories are similar to ours. not surprised. now i know why they ignored my mother through calls regarding questions. it all puzzles.
They allow you to pay down on items that they know are not in stocks and keep changing the goal post of delivery dates to stall you. Very disappointed with their behavior

I had to put one star to post but I wish I could post a minus one million stars. I purchased a dining room set and a sectional back in October 2020 I received half of the sectional in early November and I have been given the run around since then. I call customer service at least once a week, the representatives are rude and unprofessional the manager is no help at all. It now the middle of January and my living room is still incomplete because they cant figure out what they did wrong on my account. I financed half of the purchase and I am making monthly payment on furniture I don't have. BUYER BEWARE they were very nice and welcoming when I was in the showroom but now I get ignored when I call and all I want is someone to help me get my furniture delivered.

0 for customer service! All they cared about was the sale. They got the sale, however when the sofa was delivered it did not fit the elevator! top it off they wanted for us to pay $200 out of pocket for the couch to be assemble in my home!! Never in my years of buying furniture I heard of this..but it's so much more that went wrong with this situation..no time nor energy to relived this ordeal.
I ordered a mattress from this location and the store rep was nice and found a mattress similar to the backorder product I order at Wayfair. He was able to find me a mattress is my price range, get it to me faster than if I would of waited for the backorder product and the delivery service was quick and safe.

I came in looking to browse some sofas and he gave me a tour of the sofa sections while gauging what I was looking for. He wasn’t pushy or trying to oversell. I felt like he was truly looking to help me out. Honestly he did everything he needed to do & more to help me find what I was looking for but the furniture at Ashley just dropped the ball. They were either too stiff, too pricey or not the right color I was looking for. If I ever need to purchase something from Ashley in Bay Plaza I’m coming straight to him. He provided me with an amazing experience.

It's not often that I am compelled to write a review because unfortunately, it's rare that I receive such outstanding service until last week. Thanks to Richelle, I am the happiest customer EVER!!! I have been trying to find the Altari Alloy Chaise Sectional Sleeper for quite some time now. Initially, I went to a Jennifer convertibles store who had it in stock and on the floor, but they did not give me the financing I wanted (and now I know the great price) so I resumed my search. I even went to Ashley in Paramus NJ but they didn't have it. I decided to google search and located it on your online site, however it said it was out of stock. I contacted a representative on your website's virtual chat to see how to find out when the couch will be back in stock. A live person came on and instructed me to put a heart by the "wish list". This kinda confused me as to how I'd be notified. Given my confusion, I decided to post (a week ago Sunday at 9pm - after hours no less I thought) in anticipation that someone would respond to my lack of understanding on Monday. Next thing I know, everything took a turn for the better because Richelle popped up at that hour! She proceeded to tell me that I was misinformed because the wish list is for my own purposes, however, if I was ready to order, she could assist me. Initially when she looked up the couch, she too found that it was on back order and I may be able to receive it in 4 to 6 weeks. I was okay with this because I was excited at the idea that I was finally presented with the opportunity to purchase the couch! As Richelle went on to take my information and explain the process, not only did I get the financing I wanted with an additional 15% discount, she was delighted to let me know (after being online with me for a very long time that late at night) that through her research she located the couch and to top it all off, I could have it next week!!! I was stunned and elated at the same time! The other rep didn't even try... I will highly recommend Richelle to everyone I know in addition to all my clients because after all, I sell houses and they need furniture!!! My couch is now here and she even checked in to see if it was delivered and how was my experience. (Please note we purchased from Ashley this time last year and no one called to see if all went well!!) I will close by saying, Richelle is the epitome of customer service as well as customer satisfaction, which is paramount in my business as with yours. It was so refreshing to encounter someone who actually cares as much as I do. I cannot sing her praises enough!

I love shoping at this Ashley Homestore. The furniture in the showroom is organized in such an expressive fashion that it makes you want to buy it. I have bought from this location twice, and both times have gotten great price deals, as well as received real high quality products. Their delivery service is managed well, when you are given a time for delivery you can be sure it will be delivered at that time. The delivery workers are also nice and follow orders no problem. When you buy here you feel confident you will get what you ordered.

Very very bad customer service
Nothing but great customer service from Shernane Gunter. She was easy to work with, outstanding at responding to my texts right away and answered every question regarding my purchase even after I placed my order. What really impressed me is that she was willing to add items to my existing order when previously I spoke to another agent and they would not want to help me with that. I feel that Shernane went above and beyond to help me, when she didn’t have to. She has great customer skills and is willing to help her customer while other employees are not.
The experience I had at this Ashley store was the absolute worst. We had an appointment with Chole. She was great. This review had zero to do with her though. While waiting for our appointment with Chole, Manager Lou comes to us and asks us if we want to apply for financing while we wait. We were in no rush but we said yes. This is where the trouble begins. So Lou, the manager proceeds to take my ID and fill out my application info on an iPad. After a while he gives me my ID back and walks away. That will be the last I see of the Manager Lou during this visit. A couple of minutes later our sales associate comes back and tells me I only got accepted for $1,000 financing to my surprise. So I end up calling the bank only to find out that the Manager Lou inputted my name and address wrong in the application and there was nothing they could do on their end. So I got screwed out of financing my furniture and proceeded to pay with one of my credit cards because of the embarrassment I felt for being denied. Even with spending money at the store Lou completely made the experience pure hell. He didn’t even acknowledge us for the whole 2 hours we were in his store. Didn’t bother come find out what happened. No apology for ruining my application. I came back the next day and got my purchase refunded. I’m not happy at all with Ashley furniture.
**BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE SALES TACTICS AT THIS LOCATION** 2 stars because I love the Ashley brand sofa that I purchased. 3 stars deducted for dishonesty and a selective disregard for accountability and integrity at this location. SEE OTHER CUSTOMER REVIEWS ABOUT DECEPTION, MISREPRESENTATION, FRAUDULENT PROMISES, AND FAILURE TO REFUND CANCELLED ORDERS. Be VERY skeptical about everything the salespeople tell you...I was told that the "platinum" 5-year warranty plan was a good add-on purchase because I will receive a one-time, hassle-free replacement sofa within the 5-year coverage period (note: every purchase comes with a free basic warranty plan). I asked for proof of this promise with a terms and conditions document showing this language to verify the sales rep's claim. But no such proof was provided. I requested that the sales rep cancel and issue a refund. I was promised that it would be done, no problem. After waiting several days to receive confirmation, I reached back out and the sales rep did not cancel the warranty. So I went back to the store to allay my concerns that I was being lied to and to witness for myself that I would be refunded. It took less than 3 minutes to cancel the warranty on the store computer with a different rep who perhaps had no benefit from giving me the run around. Over 4 weeks later my refund was not issued. There is no way to call the store directly. So I called the corporate customer service phone number for a resolution on four separate occasions. Corporate could not issue a refund and was unable to reach the store every time either by phone or email. Paid twice for delivery. The sales rep gave me the incorrect measurements. A Google review seemed like a good idea since this location is insulated from having to acknowledge their unscrupulous business practices.
This dresser (well, the whole bedroom set) is complete garbage. The dresser drawer broke by me putting shirts in it. I can't even begin to say how big of a pain it was to get it all delivered. The running boards, dresser, mattress (which is the worst mattress I've ever had), head/foot board all came separately. Even after I paid for the "hassle-free" delivery. Not to mention, I received two nominations that it was being delivered and it never showed up. I had to take multiple days off to sit and wait for the deliveries and even with paying extra for them to take the packing material with them, they left it in my room. I tried calling "customer service" over 20 times to try and find out where the deliveries were and I was hung up on over a dozen times and transferred even more. Finally, I reached a CSR that "said" she'd email her boss and someone would get in contact with me...which never happened. This is the worst furniture company I've ever seen. To think that I decided not to go with IKEA because I wanted "nicer" stuff, that I would have for a while, this was a big mistake. On top of it all, when you order online they charge your card, when they ship it they charge your card again and then it takes 2-4 days for them to credit your card back for the first charge. I'm VERY glad I didn't go ahead and buy furniture for my whole house (like my wife told me to) because it's complete crap. Save your money and hassles and go to IKEA, at least with them...you know what you're going to get.
so i went to the baychester location and ordered a bedroom set. in the process of ordering i made the two sales reps aware that i was just moving into my new place. explained that we went to other places and they could not give us any delivery days for the time we needed. they two representatives continued to help and agreed that there would be no problems. i informed the sales rep that we must have and coi placed in order to get any furniture in the building. the coi is building insurance just in case anything is damaged they would have to pay. so a couple days before my delivery day i reecive a message stating my items will be delivered but i had yet to receive the confirmation from the building stating they approved the order. so i started calling the rep she refused to answer any of my calls and began to text me. i asked her if any information was followed up she said yes of course everything is looking good and being processed i said ok dont forget we cannot do a delivery without any coi. she again told me everything should be approved dont worry. the next day i contact my management and they tell me they didnt receive any information from ashleys homestore. long story short i get in contact with ashley homestore and they tell me a coi was never placed by the sales rep. wow ok how do we go about fixing this, i spoke to a very nice manager who helped me out and promised to have the coi approved. as im on the phone with management the delivery people are outside my building with a delivery. then we finally get a new day for delivery and coi gets approved after i had to come down to the store and speak to them in person. so my delivery day comes and not only was the delivery late after spending 2400 cash i didnt receive my full bed set. i received my dressers and mirror but where is my bed all they brang me was just a mattress and a metal bottom . it took hrs trying to contact someone. after all this i get in contact with the store manager to try to figure out where my pieces are, i was told that they will contact customer service to see when i can get my bed. im so hurt and upset i slept on my floor for almost three weeks and my order still isnt complete. this sales person isnt someone who should be representing your company. not one time did she make me feel like she was helpful. thanks for nothing. no i wont give them another try.
BEWARE! What started out as an amazing experience has now turned into a nightmare. While the sales associates are lovely this is truly a company that doesn't care about you once they have your money. There is no official customer service. Only a phone line for orders and delivery questions. They will insist that you come into the store where staff will repeatedly encourage you not to pursue any issue you may have. We ordered a powered recliner sectional on 10/10 and had our delivery scheduled on 10/31. We recieved a manual oressback instead. We have been teying to get in contact with someone from the store ever since. When I was able to go into the store I was repeatedly pushed towards dropping the matter entirely. I only wanted them to refund the difference between the two sectionals considering it's likely the manual is less than the powered one and we'd like to avoid the hassel of having to have things redelivered. I finally got a call from someone named Kadijah Jeffries who requested that we email her the serial number tags to get the ball rolling and hasn't responded in 4 days. This is ridiculous and I do not recommend this place to anyone.
I was greeted with a smile, and staff followed covid guidelines for safety. I met with employee Victor Martinez, who was professional, and courteous. I mentioned the item I was interested in purchasing, a sofa, and was guided to my to my choices. Victor explained the mechanics and material of the sofas, specifically the height I was looking for. He was patient and understood my needs in a sofa. The sale was finally completed and I was satisfied with my purchase. I also received information re protection plan. My experience at this store was incredible, and will purchase furniture at this store n the future. Though Victor has not been at this store that long. his professionalism was tops.
Janicia Ottley was so helpful and patient I came in the store clueless and left with a bedroom set dining room set area rug and lamp. Customer service was great and will definitely come back and reference friends and family as well
Terrible customer service, delivered the wrong furniture and now no one responding to my calls or texts. Been over two weeks and still haven’t received my refund... Will never buy anything here ever again and wouldn’t recommend that anyone else does unless you want overpriced furniture and the worst customer service on the east coast.
So now the customer service person who posted on Yelp has asked me for a whole new set of pictures of the defective furniture and also pictures of what they look like at the store This will be the fifth or sixth time I speak to one of the representatives and this will be the fifth or sixth time that I'm getting the runaround. The worst customer service ever. Please do not do business with this company. We were expected to get our delivery on 10/23. We were told that the full order had not yet arrived and therefore it would be best push to the delivery for a date in which the full order can be fulfilled- the new date was 10/27. From the beginning of this process I had communicated that unless it&'s a weekend delivery, the only time I would be available would be in the afternoon evening. I was told this is not an issue. I added evening delivery to my request and received paperwork indicating that an evening delivery was requested via email. On Sunday I received a text message that my delivery was confirmed from 9:00am to 1:00pm for Tuesday and that I had 24 hours to call to change the order. Of course this becomes super stressful as I just moved. I quickly contact Ashley&'s- spoke to a representative who communicated they needed 72 hours notice and as such there&'s nothing they can do except charge me an additional delivery fee. I explained that it would be impossible for me to meet this requirement as I was just informed Sunday- I also explained that I already communicated I work and need an afternoon or delivery shipment. The rep said there&'s nothing he can do. I ask to speak to a supervisor and was then placed on hold for over 40 minutes and then someone hung up. I called again, waited for over an hour and finally spoke to Diane reassured me that she would leave a note indicating delivery time anytime after 3:30pm. She also communicated that the driver would call beforehand. This gave me some peace- Because I know now incompetency is prevalent with this company I reached out to my seller from this location who seemed really nice. No response. I call again yesterday to confirm the note was added and was once again reassured that the delivery note was added and was reminded that the delivery guy would reach out before heading over. Surely this morning while at work, I receive a call from the delivery man stating he was already there- no call beforehand. When I asked him if he received the delivery note he responded no and that we would have to reach customer service. Unbelievable- this by the way is a $5000 delivery which I will be cancelling. Incompetency and lack of customer service is what you will receive with this location and company.

There is no local number so you are always connected to a central office and they are horrible Also I paid $200.00 extra for insurance that would cover any damage such as dents. I received The headboard with dents but they refuse to acknowledge it despite the pictures I sent them. They also put a charge on my credit card without indicating what it is for-a second charge-which is totally bogus because I only purchased one thing from them but because it is almost impossible to reach the store I am left at a standstill.

My wife and I went in with the intention of only getting ideas for what we wanted. We were immediately greeted by Yacara and then later assisted by Vanessa (Momma V). Both were really friendly and attentive to our needs. They both showed us several samples that would be to our liking and within our price range. We took some time to think on it and made our decision to buy today (delivery later). My wife and I cannot express how at home and at ease they made us feel throughout the whole process. No hassle, no pushy behavior, just business made pleasureable. Their teamwork-amazing!! When one was busy. The other stepped in. A great experience from start to finish!

I had the pleasure of working with Deseree Santiago. I started with an online chat and she called me right away to answer some questions I had. Over the course of 3 days she kept in contact with me (calling and texting) to assure me that the cancellation of one order and the processing of another was in the works. She helped me get amazing prices and helped me every step of the way. I was frustrated with Ashley's at first, but the customer service I received from Deseree is the reason I still purchased my furniture from Ashley's. Thank you Deseree for all your time and hard work! You are an amazing sales associate!
I was in the market for a mattress, bed frame, and sofa. I wanted to order everything from one store to make it less of a hassle. I went to both Bob's Furniture and Ashley's and this was my experience: On Aug. 20th I revisited Bob's Furniture & Ashley's after browsing the week before. I was interested in a sofa from Bob's and held off because they were honest about the long delivery time. I wouldn't receive it for at least a month if I ordered with them. The employee who helped me at Ashley gave me his number for any questions I had. His name was Luciano Santiago. While at Bob's, I explicitly asked Mr. Santiago if they had the sofa I saw at Ashley's available for delivery NOW. I was told they did, and that's what made me finally decide to order everything through Ashley. I was told the mattress and frame could be delivered by Aug. 28th, and the sofa right after that. My mattress came in on time, however, there was no frame. The delivery men called customer service for me, and when we spoke to them, we were told the frame and sofa were on back order and would not be available for AT LEAST another month. I contacted Mr. Santiago immediately to rectify the situation. He said he would check the inventory once he arrived at the store, and I never heard from him again. I followed up, and still no response. As of today, 9/11, I still do not have my frame or sofa, and do not know exactly when they will arrive. The 2 stars are only because I am happy with my mattress (and I could have purchased the same one elsewhere). I am beyond displeased with the service I received after spending over $4,000 and after being guaranteed my furniture was in stock and ready to be delivered. **UPDATE** (9/29/20) Still hadn't heard back about any of my missing furniture so I called to cancel the order of my sofa. I called on the 23rd and was told I will receive an email with my cancellation confirmation and an updated invoice. I have not received anything. Every time I call about it, its a new song & dance. Oh, and there is no word on my headboard either. DO NOT shop here! They are attentive when you're spending money but do not follow through on customer service when you need it. I had to go in person to the store and ask for my missing items to be canceled. I insisted on a receipt that stated how much I was getting back and they refused to give me one, claiming they don't do that. (I called the credit card company and they assured me the store was supposed to) I am positive the amount on my credit card is higher than what I should be paying. I have never had such horrible service or people who are so fine with lying through their teeth.
So even amidst the pandemic, Ashley Homestead still has patient and personable staff who ensure that customers leave smiling. Markley and Janicia at the Bay Plaza smiled and toured and matched and related to our needs. We are leaving g the store as happy campers! Patience is a virtue! By the way I will definitely sponsor a chd with Ashley's Hope to Dream. Such a great idea.

I haven't received my furniture yet because I just visited the Baychester store yesterday so this review is based solely on the customer service provided by Ms. Yacara Giles. Of course stepping foot in the door I already had my guard up ready for an annoying sales rep who would not allow my fiance and I to shop in peace but that was quickly brought down. Ms. Yacara's approach was endearing and personable. She wasn't trying to sell you the most expensive nor the most popular, her priority was to make sure we find something we liked within our budget. Shopping around the store with her felt more like I was walking with family not a salesperson. I say all this to say, if you find yourself looking for furniture at this location, I highly recommend you seek out Ms. Yacara for assistance.
Ashley HomeStore located at 340 Baychester Avenue, contains some truly exceptional sales associates, but severely lacks at the management level. On Thursday, August 27, 2020, we went to Ashley’s to purchase a sectional sofa, bed frame, and dinning room set, in which we happily forked over $4,000.00 in cash. The next day (August 28, 2020) we decided that we wanted to cancel our purchase of the dining room set, and we were by promised by management to receive reimbursement within 3-5 business days. As of September 8, 2020, we are still fighting with management to receive that very reimbursement that was promised. Additionally, we were promised to have the delivery team take down our preexisting bed frame and mattress when our furniture was delivered, which of course never happened. Furthermore, we chose to do business with Ashley even though we wouldn’t even receive our sectional sofa until November the earliest. Ashley’s customer service has been contacted on September 3, 2020 at 1032am, and a rep told us that our reimbursement was processed, and that we should receive payment within another day or so, and that they would contact the store via email and phone to no avail. Ashley customer service was then called again on September 4, 2020 at 9:57am, and were once again informed that our payment would be received in another day or two, to no avail. On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, customer service was emailed and when we finally got a rep on the phone, we were informed that our reimbursement was processed on September 7, 2020, and we would need to wait an additional 7-10 business days for a $900.00 reimbursement. When the rep (Cassandra) was questioned about the delay and timeframe about a cancellation that took place almost 2 weeks ago, she rudely stated she doesn’t work in sales and transferred me to our original sales rep who had nothing to do with managements failure to uphold their end of a deal. Now the entire purchase order has been cancelled, and we have to wait an additional “3-5” business days for release of payment. In conclusion, take my advice and do not listen to a single phrase uttered by management at this location and take your hard earned money elsewhere. All that management cares about is making a sale and will say and do anything to get you to buy. If you happen to walk into this HomeStore, just pay attention to how management treats their own employees. It’s appalling to deal with these types of issues during a national crisis...as if everyone hasn’t been stretched and had to deal with difficult challenges during this time. We expected a lot more from Ashley, but all we received were lies, empty promises, and still fighting to have our hard earned money that is rightfully owed to us returned...

We were very specific with dimensions; etc. Anthony was extremely resourceful in helping us. He didn’t give up and showed us several possibilities, either in store on display or through the awesome big TV like screen, that displays other available Ashley furniture. Although, we decided not to purchase that day. Anthony remained the same. If we decide to purchase at Ashley, I will surly ask for Anthony Also, he was kind enough to send me his business card. Lastly, I asked for the manager to inform him about Anthony. I wish I remembered his name....in any event, he was very receptive, kind and professional. Thank you
Sales Associate Richelle, a pleasure in store However delivery is terrible I had a scheduled split delivery ( dresser/chest and bed separate delivery dates) None of the furniture is in stock when I was advised only the bed was on back order I reserved a day from work to receive part of my delivery. I received multiple confirmations of delivery! Also a receipt with a delivery date on it! To expect nothing to come on the arranged date! When I called on my expected delivery I get nothing But choose another date, barely a explanation My scheduled shipment was only for “information” not merchandise. Keep in communication, because how were we going to wait you going to schedule a merchandise delivery when all items are to be available next week! If all that was SCHEDULED WAS “INFORMATION” that’s not what we spent money on! Just be transparent I am willing to wait!

My experience with the store was excellent - if you ever need high-quality furniture at an affordable price, make sure to check it out and ask for Richelle - she helped me order all my furniture within an hour and took great care of me. She answered all my questions within seconds and patiently walked me through the entire process. I didn’t expect buying furniture to feel like a breeze but that’s exactly how smooth it was with Richelle.
I ordered $7200 of furniture from Ashley and these are the results of my making the biggest mistake ordering from them and how the installers they use destroyed my furniture and my home.1. The 2 chairs have holes2. the loveseat has scuffs from being dragged as well as holes on the back plus the headrests do not work3. the bench has a scuff that looks like wasn't painted properly.4. all the bedroom furniture looks like it was dirty I think as all the creases have this black grim when the color is silver-grey, of course pending for them to come and look at it. it is acceptable but not at full price which is for new as I know this is discontinued.5. The installers damaged my bedroom ceiling in a few places, the minimum repair cost is $300 daily for the handyman6. the installers scratched up my brand new 20k floor in a few areas, I have to call the flooring installers as they will need to replace about 8+ floor pieces, each box has 4 pcs and costs $55.26 per box plus whatever the labor will be which I am sure a couple hundred so guessing about $8-1000 in damages to the home.I haven't got any answers from Ashley as of yet but I made sure to tell the drivers/installers when they got here before entering my home, that they need to be careful not to scratch the floor or the entry door, of course, he assured me it wouldn't be an issue. This is the worst nightmare ever but glad both financing is done thru the same bank so they can see what I paid for the flooring
Sales person was excellent However Experience was extremely poor. They delivery was a nightmare. They delivered an incomplete package to my home. I made a return and been waiting three weeks for them to process a return. Management staff Giving me the runaround and not calling me back. Never knew Ashley furniture was independently owned and operated not going to say I would never visit Ashley again however won’t spend my money at this location. Again the salesperson was excellent. During this time in this pandemic They should not be holding out on my $900.

I am not someone to write reviews unless the service is really horrible or really great. In this case it was the later. This was my first time going to this newer store in bay plaza. Searching for a sofa, I looked in about 2 other furniture stores and I would say this one was the best. What made my experience 5 stars was mostly Richelle Lawrence. Within about 5 minutes of me scheduling an appointment online, Richelle called me to confirm my appointment and kept in contact with me throughout my experience. Greeting us with complimentary beverages, Richelle was patient, and very conscious of giving us space to make a decision on a purchase (which is hugely important to my family. We don’t like to be hovered upon, or rushed. And we “sniff” out anyone who has a poor attitude or wrongful intentions i.e. forcing a sale to make a comission). We asked MANY questions, and she patiently and humbly answered them all. Even post purchase, I was invited to and felt free to text her followup questions and she assisted me with them all EVEN on her days off (one of them being her birthday, which I don’t say proudly). She literally went above and beyond to support me and my family to make sure we were comfortable with our purchase. I felt well taken care of, treated with the utmost respect and patience and for that I say thank you. Richelle’s service was more than just for comission or for reviews, she was an embodiment of the Ashley Furniture mission “to commit to amazing its guests so that through every personal interaction they honor God”.

I came to this store because I moved into my new apartment and needed the entire thing furnished. Upon arriving I was greeted by Justin Riccio whom then proceeded to offer me options for the color way I was aiming for. He, along with Jeannette Sena, were both tremendous help ! They were professional, friendly and humorous as well as extremely patient with me. Within an hour I was able to pick out my furniture quickly and efficiently and not once did I have to double think about any of my choices while there. The smoothest process ever! Make sure to ask for them both as they made my shopping satisfactory. Definitely recommend.

TERRIBLE!!!I recently placed an order online and then decided to cancel my order so I can purchase something else from them ( an upgraded item ). Ex. Placed order 11pm at night next day Monday morning 9am called to cancel and re-order something different, spoke to representative by the name of Brenda, she reassured me that she cancelled order and refund will be given. Three days later, no refund and the item still was delivered. I called again, spoke to another rep, who apologized, seen notes in system but somehow they messed up on their part. She then told me I will be given a refund, item will be picked up and a manager will contact me. Well... that was TWO weeks ago. Manager NEVER contacted me, refund not issued and item not picked up. I called and called over and over, sent online chat requests, like tried several different ways trying to reach this company and NOTHING. I am very disappointed with their service and lack of care especially during this very stressful time. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again and will NEVER recommend them!!!! Service is a complete DISASTER!!! Avoid this place, it&'s not worth it ! You&'ll have nightmares!

This was my second time shopping at Ashley Furniture HomeStore. The first time I was accompanying my best friend as she was shopping for her apartment. I told the sales associates Richelle I would be back when I get my first apartment. 10 months later here I am. Richelle remembered me as soon as she saw me. She is absolutely amazing, reasonable, understanding, caring and knows exactly what she’s doing. I shared my vision with her and she pointed me in the right direction. She didn’t pressure me to make a purchase or rush me to make a decision as they were actually closing. If you are a first time buyer or just looking for something new for your house ask for RICHELLE, I promise you won’t be disappointed!!
My Fiancé and I had a great experience when we visited this location. The store manager, Aldo and his associates were super helpful, and made the process of buying our first pieces of furniture together quick and easy! Highly recommend.
I was very displeased with the customer service aspect of my visit. I returned to this location to purchase a sectional that I had seen a week prior. I even made sure the store rep I had previously dealt with was the one who would close the sale. In the end he got his manager who then proceeded to give me a price which was different than the one advertised on the sign directly behind us and continuously tried to high ball me covering his erroneous prices with a nonsense 30%. All he did for 10 min was punch a bunch of random number in a calculator that did not make any sense. It was terrible customer service and blatant sleazy sales man stuff happening . Little did they know all he had to do was honor the price in the floor and the couch would have been sold and paid for in full. Glad to be taking my business elsewhere

She helped us find exactly what we were looking for in bed sets, guided us through pricing and completely worked with us according to our finances to make sure that we made the best decisions as we redecorated our home! Ashley our sales person reallllly dissapointed me....Ashley was nice when she wanted to make the sale. I texted Ashley (sales person) for her to call me when she had a minute, she called back but oh boy it was not the same Ashley that sold me and my husband the sofas. I wanted to check on my ottoman delivery since it was out of stock. Ashley's attitude was arrogant, condensending and unprofessional. I am a professional in the hospitality industry, I know how to treat guests and people in general with respect. I am not sure who Ashley thought she was dealing with, but one thing is certain not only am I changing my review I am writing a letter to Ashley's Home StoreCorporate office. That's how professionals handle their busines Good luck Ashley! I strongly suggest that Ashley Home Store should better prepare theiir sales person to be professional, have knowledge of the product they are selling and most of all have respect for their customers. My experience was awesome today at Ashley Furniture. I was greeted by Vanessa who was very personable, professional, attentive, and very down to earth. I felt like I was showing with my girlfriend. Vanessa made my shopping experience painless and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend those who are looking for new furniture, to stop by and ask for Vanessa. We had a very helpful sales rep by the name, Ashley. She did not hover like normal reps and always gave me and my partner space/ time to talk things through. Ashley offered us both a beverage as we shopped around, coffee & water, amazing service to make anyone feel, figuratively, right at home. She was very friendly, personable and respectful of our likes and dislikes especially when she recommended things. She also walked us through the details in pricing, wrote everything down thoroughly and did not have an issue at all repeating herself. My husband and I were at Ashley Homestore in Co-op City over the weekend looking to get a sectional for our living room and a kitchen table. The sales rep who helped was Ashley M. She made the purchasing process a breeze. She made us feel comfortable and at ease. For someone like me who is very indecisive, we felt no obligation or pressure to purchase. She suggested pieces based on our likes, lifestyle with a toddler and budget. Ashley is very knowledgeable, kind and incredibly helpful. For an added bonus, she was very sweet and nurturing to my toddler (terrible 2 stage) who insisted on following her throughout the store. She's patient and very kid friendly. The quality of the customer service shown by Ashley was above PAR. Will definitely go back to see Ashley so she can help us furnish the rest of our home.

I went there and everything was wonderful but then l they promised that was credit but same as cash and when that email came with mad hidden fees that no one told me was the most difficult thing to cancel, made business with them and had to call some one else to try to get my money back.

This outlet of the franchise chain has the most competent staff in the area. I know them from other stores and now that they are all under one roof it appears they really are moving as a team. All of these chains are hurting and their staff are on commission. They do not want to be pushy but are set upon to make unrealistic quotas based on increasing expenses and fighting Internet sales. As we continue to lose these local stores we will eventually lose our social selves. Furniture is personal. Shop in stores with knowledgeable staff. The extra price is usually worth it.

Today I came today Ashley’s in Co-op City for a couch, kitchen set, bedroom set, and mattresses. I was helped by Yacara and Omar who were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I was very impressed with the quality of customer service, it was like hanging out with friends!! The process was very easy, quick and painless. I was so pleased I HAD to come give a google review. Go to Ashley’s and ask for Yacara and/ or Omar!
be sure to ask about delivery measurement. they ask if there is elevator and that was it. How would you know the measurement of the elevator. Its in the fine print and they don't point it out to you. Even as a courtesy for you to choose some thing else and waive the delivery fee.
Stay away, Don't go there. My mom went to buy a couch and the only thing they ask her was if she had an elevator in her building. They came to deliver and it couldn't fit in there. They still charge her $150.00. If you choose to still go there know your measurements. They will trick you. I have bought furniture at other stores and was never ask about measurements.

STAY AWAY!!!! Ashley has no business being in CO-OP CITY well let me rephrase that they need to employ better sales representatives ones which aren't only interested in getting a quick buck. Customers need sales rep who takes the time out to know the area they are servicing. I don't need to resort to name calling but she knows herself and had i taken the time out to read the reviews I would have known to stay clear of this rep. I clearly stated the sectional i ordered was for Co-op city and kept asking if the dimensions would work and the answer I got was, and i quote " yes it will, we have sold sectionals to co-op city before" Yet my order came and it could not fit. When I called her on the day of, I was asked "do you have a freight elevator?" clearly she has no clue about the area. She also then confessed we have only had a few sales to co-op city. This is an entirely different pitch from what i got before when she was dead set on swindling me out of my money. The assistant manager tried to convince me to choose something else and in the process deterred me even more. He tried to convince me that they were the only company that offered break down service, when i had gotten the service for free from Raymour and Flanigan. YEP TOOK MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE AND I'M HAPPY!!!!!
Went there yesterday to try to find some storage options for us, unfortunately they didn't have what we were looking for. However, the employees there (Justin (I think I'm remembering his name right) and his manager) were just absolutely amazing and incredibly helpful. After showing us a few options that didn't work out, they recommended we try out IKEA and we were able to find what we needed in particular. That is exactly what I look for in customer service and even though we didn't find what we were looking for, that interaction will make me more likely to shop at Ashley in the future (esp for the locking bar cabinet).
I came in frustrated because of a previous sofa order that was a misfit. Yacara took her time to help me find something similar that actually fit. She also showed me and adjustable base and set me up with a new sleep system. I have been so grateful of her. and she sent me the nicest card after. If you go to Ashley’s Yacara goes above and beyond excellent care!

This is my first time in this location. The location where I have gotten all my furniture was in new Rochelle. The service in Ashley is always great. I've never had any issues or problems. The salesman works with you. No pressure, I like that. Let me look around then approach me. I have a card with them so I've been making lots of home improvements. Compared to the other furniture stores in bay plaza. I would recommend everyone one to check out Ashley at least once before making a choice. I will be back for other things

Chavez is a warm-hearted, kind, and intelligent gentleman, whose hospitality will keep you smiling and digging into your pockets. I’ve been to this Ashley multiple times and the only person I request to work with is Chavez. He is persuasive and his humor keeps the sometimes dreadful shopping experience lively. If visiting the Ashley Furniture Store in Bay Plaza make your shopping experience as great as mine and request Chavez!
Ashley sales agent should stop following people everywhere. My gosh it's so annoying to have them follow you and you feel uncomfortable.
Worst service possible. I recently placed an order over two weeks ago and was set for delivery more than a week ago and the delivery never arrived. I called that evening I was suppose to receive my delivery and was told they never booked my delivery. I wasn't given an apology and was told I would have to wait till they had another day available. A week later, still no delivery. The employee and salesperson were unprofessional. The so call operations manager Alexandra was rude and nonchalant about my delivery service. She never apologized either. I wouldn't waste my time here when Raymour and Flanigan and Bob's Furniture is right across the mall with better salespersons and professionalism. I was told they will cancel my order and I wasn't given an option. Alexandra also claim that they weren't part of the Ashley Furniture corporation, that they were independently owned and did not follow the rules of the company. YIKES! Customer service is an ultimate low here.

My visit to Ashley Homestore in Bay Plaza was spectacular! I called a few days before going about a specific collection and Keith answered my call. He was super professional, friendly, answered my questions and I was looking forward to going into the store to see in person the items I was interested in that I saw on the Ashley Homestore website. When I arrived, Keith was not in but was out at a charity event, which is awesome. The staff greeted me and my children and found someone great to assist me. I was assisted by Richelle. I have to say this woman is above and beyond. She worked with me, I got the pieces I wanted, a great price and to my surprise she helped me out with some great options that worked for me. She is professional, resourceful, friendly, understanding and patient. She explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. She even served us coffee and snacks while waiting for the paperwork. Her goal was to make me happy and that is what she did. Richelle rocks! I ordered furniture to be delivered to Pennsylvania and was told it would be no problem. They wanted to sell me the platinum warranty and at one point put it in until I realized what they did. I read a lot of complaints on this warranty and then realized I had this with a prior order I have. So the company came looked at my chair and said it could not be fixed so I received a credit and Ashley was suppose to call me. Well they never did call me so I walked into the showroom. It turns out they had it and claimed they called me. Yeah right. I have only 6 months to use it or lose it. It cannot be used toward the order I had on hold and it has to be with their stores which does not include any stores in PA. So I cancelled my order because now if I received an order and had problems I would have to travel back to New York to find something else. Too bad they don't tell you these rules before you order stuff. They sell you what you want to hear. Never again with this company. Now I have 2 credits and they said whatever I get would need to be delivered for $80. So I'm waiting and it looks like I'm buying a lot of pillows.

Please dont buy anything from anyshley store they have the worst customer service. I try to buy a dinner table from them and I couldn't answer the phone call for the delivery setup so date set up the delivery in a day that I couldn't make it so when I called them back they told me that I had to pay another extra $80 for them to the to cancel the delivery had to set it up for another day. After that I decided not to get the table because they weren't willing to work it out with me that I couldn't answer the phone call for the delivery and they wanted to charge me $80 so I said you know what I don't want your business and I want my money back I have paid cash for it and it took almost two months to get my money back from them. they have the worst customer please again dont buy from them its unfair how they work with you and I cant get to talk to someone from the Corporation to work with me and its been a little over month ..p.s the workers in the store are great but its ashleys system the unfair one
Long over due review but Marsley was a great help to me and my mother on helping picking out a bedroom set for myself. No other store in the area had a great selection and at good prices, made my shopping experience wonderful as he was knowledgeable as well as kind.
My mother and I recently visited Ashley Furniture at the Baychester Shopping Center. Upon entering, we were greeted by Albert. He recognized my mother and kindly greeted her . Please note my mother had already visited the store several times prior to get a feel of the furniture at Ashley’s. My mom proceeded to show Albert the couch set she was interested in . His feedback was very helpful when it came to providing measurements and helping us determine if this couch set was the right one for our space. We explained to Albert that we liked the current couch set we were looking at , but did NOT LOVE It! He already had a feel of what kind of couch set we were seeking , therefore he recommended that we look at another couch set . WE FELL IN LOVE , they were perfect ! Albert was attentive to details , patient , and most importantly really listened to what we were looking for . He explained our options regarding purchasing and financing thoroughly. Additionally , he made us feel comfortable with our shopping experience due to his calm nature . We are looking forward to receiving our new couch set at the end of Oct 2019! ( FYI- purchased set was westerwood- patina)
Negative stars if possible! I went to Ashley’s and ordered a sofa and was told next day delivery...then they changed it and said they can’t give a date when you do the “guaranteed to fit” (which is when they mail the stuff disassembled and assemble it in your house just in case it doesn’t fit through your door). They called me a week later to give me a date. That was 3weeks out they then called me days before the delivery to tell me the item failed inspection and they will make another one for me but I can accept the other piece. I said I won’t both pieces together. They gave me another date 3 weeks out. A couple days before that day they call and say the sofa isn’t ready yet and they will send it in a month! Even the guy who called me thought that was absurd and offer to call someone in the company to try to get it to me earlier. He said he will call back the next day...never called. So I called on the day of the delivery after still getting a confirmation phone call, email, and text that it will come between a certain time. I called and they tell me that someone named Jennifer that works in the Baychester location store put in the notes that the product was discontinued and that the customer (me) will come to the store and choose a new product. How did we go from “it was made but didn’t pass inspection” to “they are still making it” to “the product was discontinued”? And all the while NEVER informed me that it was discontinued. But you wanted me to accept delivery of the other piece so bad so that later you can tell me that the missing piece was DISCONTINUED this whole time!? Then you offer me a refund like it’s no big deal after you ran my credit and opened a credit in this store! Don’t trust salespeople...because most of them..(not all but most) just have a priority to make the sale. If they start giving excuses for what you ordered...just go to another store and tell them forget it because they will give you the run around (if they offer you a different size, different material, different color, different delivery date, or different option...just take that as your warning and take your business elsewhere). SMH

I was in your store checking out pricing on a future bedset purchase. I had yacara help me and I must say that it was one of the most pleasant shopping experiences I've ever had. She was friendly, attentive and was there to answer any questions I had. When I'm ready I will definitely be coming back to buy not only my bedset but all my furniture from her!
My husband and I had an amazing experience with the staff at Ashley HomeStore in Bay Plaza. We went in July to browse around for new furniture for our bedroom, living room, dining room and daughter's room. We didn't have an idea on what we wanted just that we needed new furniture that fit both of our styles and needs along with fitting nicely in our apartment. We were instantly met with smiling faces as we went up the escalator to the top floor. Vanessa H. greeted us and asked if we needed any help. We quickly replied we are okay just looking around. She was very nice and stated she will be around if we needed questions and will check on us from time to time. She gave us the space we needed, answered the questions we had, and gave great advice when asked for her opinion. She has a keen eye on seeing where customers are swaying to. At the end of our first first she offered her business card and hours should we want to come back. We didn't feel rushed or pushed into making purchases we were not ready for. When we decided on what we were ready to buy, Vanessa H. was our girl. She remembered our faces and most importantly remembered our daughter's name and asked where she was. She brought in her manager Liz who to was extremely helpful and both made us feel like family. They really tried to work with us in order for us to get all the items on our wish list. My first time visiting the store. It was an awesome experience. From the salesperson Christofer Valentin who was friendly, attentive, patience and provided me with information about credits options that are available to the finance young lady Miriam who took the time to explain choices of payment and of course the check out process with Alejandra was just as awesome. When you arrive you have a person assigned for you to help you out with anything, which is nice. My sale representative was AJ. He was attentive, responded to all of my questions and was patient. I noticed some people had difficulty with delivery. Regarding delivery, I was told the delivery services were going to call within 48hrs to schedule. They didn’t call, but I did. They were also attentive and provided different options available for delivery dates. The delivery was done on the date schedule and within the time frame given. The delivery guys were also careful with the product and diligent.

I really enjoy speaking with people that are well informed with the products that they are selling. Vanessa Harte was that person and more! She knew the questions to ask me to get a feel about what type of furniture I was looking for and possibly I would want to purchase. She let me look around, and I normally don’t like it when the sales person walk with me but I just felt a good person in my ora. And not once did she disturb my quest. When I wanted her assistance, she was available, right with me. Of course I’m not the only client in the store but she still was attentive to me. I enjoyed her work ethics and her store hospitality. It was indeed a pleasure to meet her and hear about Ashley Furniture Homestore and the warranty’s. Like I said, “she was very knowledgeable about her products”. I will definitely will bring my husband back to see Vanessa to add to my experience at Ashley’s or wherever she’s selling furniture. I’m sure after my husband speaks with me that we will purchase the furniture I picked out but after he speaks with Vanessa he will think he (my husband) made the decision himself 😉.

Purchasing from Ashley was the biggest mistake I have ever made. This store, in particular, has the worst customer service. . . reps that do no give you their last names or allow you to speak to the manager. When you finally get to the manager. . . he is dismissive, and in my case, called over the sales rep and said "you deal with her!" I called over to the NJ Customer service number, corporate, etc. . . all of which told me these stores are franchised and Ashley corporate has no say in the way the stores are run. My furniture, which is still no delivered, has now gone on sale. . . and they WILL NOT honor the pricing. I told them to take back the half that was delivered and refund my money. . . and they said "its in your house, its no longer our problem!" Who says this to a customer?? I will never shop here again, will depute the charges with my credit card company and make a complaint to the BBB. How does no one oversee these stores and make decisions?

Placed an order on May 28, 2019. Salesperson have me his personal cell because I told him the July 10 delivery date was too far. Text him upon leaving the store then text him again regarding my inquiry as to getting an earlier delivery date. Sunday July 7 I get a call to confirm my Wednesday July 10 delivery date with instructions that another call will come forthwith with the window. This afternoon July 9 I get a call stating my delivery date is July 11. On hold for almost an hour for them to tell me they only deliver the 1st Thursday of every month. Really? The store didn’t know this 6 weeks ago. I really have in my mind to not accept this delivery and go elsewhere for my furniture lousy salesperson lousy customer services
Never order from those store. They don't know what the time is. My stuuf should be delivered 10 days ago still waiting
My fiance purchased his bedroom furniture here. He was initially happy with it until the dresser started to have issues opening and closing. The alignment was off. He missed the year warranty cut off (although the product started falling apart within a few months from purchase). They told him he had to pay to fix the dresser which he refused. We now need to replace the whole dresser and it is only 2 years old. My post is for anyone looking for quality furniture; this is not the place for you. Quality and service are major and this place has neither. Do not waste your money.
I had the pleasure of having the best sales person Leta Fields. From the moment I walked in the store she took her time with me, she was attentive, friendly, caring and seemed to love the work she does. She did her best to make sure I left the store with everything I needed for my new apartment. Though I live in Brooklyn and it’s quite a travel it’s worth traveling to the Bronx so I can have Leta as my sales person. I had a wonderful experience and have nothing, but great things to say about my overall experience!

This was my first time shopping for furniture for my first apartment. So going into this I was very cautious cause I didn’t think I could get any good deals or find what I had envision in my head. I was absolutely wrong! I went with my grandparents, boyfriend and son and we was greeted by Jared. He was very helpful and amazing throughout this whole process. He explained the sales that were going on at the time of my purchase and I am very pleased with my furniture. If you need help ask for Jared! I will be returning to purchase more furniture for my new place!

I loved my time at Ashley Furniture mostly because AJ the sales rep was awesome! He was patient and really tried to help me with getting everything I needed at the price range I had. I was annoying I must admit changing my mind here and there but he was extremely patient, friendly and professional. He didn't pressure me to buy anything or out nothing down he just observed what my style is and went from there. I would only purchase my furniture from Ashley and if AJ is there even better!
The worst experience I never had. . We went to this store looking for a living room furniture,but guess what! There was this guy who came around when we were looking and told us not to look at certain sofas because they were to expensive for us, like really!! if we were there it was because we were buying something,and it wasn't he's problem if the one I was looking was to expensive I could buy it if I wanted,so not enough! We got this lady who came and told my 1 year old nephew to stop crying at the store. Updated we got what we needed from Raymond and flanigan where the service was excellent really nice sales people there.
The absolute best experience we ever had purchasing furniture. We first met Genea a few weeks ago and we knew shortly after meeting her that she would be the reason why purchased at Ashley. When we finally returned to complete our purchase. Genea introduced us to Chris Lugo to finalize our order. What can i say but wow. This man is on fire. Chris Lugo quickly completed our order and helped us purchase additional pieces at excellent prices. Kudos to you Ashley! Genea and Chris are two gems. From your Management, sales staff to the customer service team, everyone at this store is "on point". Your staff is the reason why people buy your furniture not the other way around.
I purchase furniture with this company a year and half ago everything was fine perfect service no complaints. However I recently purchased furniture on 03/20/21 this was a big mistake I was sold an adjustable base that was not compatible with my storage bed. I was told at first my purchase could not be return once it was delivered. Which is a horrible policy if it’s nothing I can do, if the base was not compatible with my bed. I spoke to serval people from customer service who were rude and not professional. I finally spoke to corporate a gentleman named Darnell who was very understanding and nice he was able to return my purchase and have it picked up on 03/30/21. I was told my $250 I paid in the store towards the base will be refunded 5-7 business days. Now those days have passed I still have no refund spoke to customer service they are telling me they do not see a refund on their end and will have to transfer me to the store in Bay Plaza. I spoke to this rude girl from the store janiyah who was very unprofessional I asked to speak to a manager several times. I asked her why was I getting the run around she gave me attitude the whole phone call then had then nerve to say my refund will need to be approved by a manager, which I’m not seeing why if it’s my money I am untitled too. This experience with them has been a huge headache, I never had such bad customer service this is not how you run a business. I will never shop nor recommend this company and location to anyone.
This location is very nice, the staff is very polite, helpful and understanding.They were also extremely patients considering that's the order and it literally took the entire day to complete. Once my purchases arrived the delivery stuff with extremely knowledgeable and quick. I am extremely satisfied with this location
