My wife sent me to the Ashley’s in kings plaza to buy my son a bedroom set and I already had something in mind so I instantly just walked past isiah and at first I was annoyed because I felt like he was following me but I was totally wrong, isiah was genuinely dedicated to helping me pick the right bedset and mattress for my son by respecting my space, being patient, dealing with my wife being difficult with him at first because she felt like he was just another salesman but he remained professional and somehow ended up making my wife laugh and trust him to help us out and we may have spent a little more than we intended to but isiah made sure we understood the value of what we”re getting..dude is a true gentleman. What an experience :) definitely recommend!

This review is not about the store. The rep was great. This is about the delivery of the mattress. I received a email/text to confirm delivery between 1:30pm to 5:30pm. I confirmed yes. Today, my mattress was delivered at 5:30 in the morning. The delivery man was rude and didn't speak English. They just dropped it in my doorway and left. I called customer service and was told that I was sent a text that changed the time to 6am with a 4 hour window. That is not what I replied to. I only replied to the day of delivery and received a different email with the time. I have a physical disability and had my daughter not been staying with me, I would not have been able to accept delivery. I contacted customer service via email again and they continue to claim that I accepted the change in delivery. If I did, it was unbeknownst to me and besides, who wants delivery at 5:30am when I was still sleeping on the old mattress?! Thankfully Raymour & Flanigan delivered my bed frame later on and were nice enough to help with the mattress. This is my first experience with Ashley Furniture and it will be my last. This is the worst level of service I have ever encountered and I DO NOT recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone I know. Go to R&F instead.

We went to Ashley’s yesterday after a terrible experience at Bob's. We were extremely upset being without a couch for over 4 days. Jenny Ashley was very helpful and patient she listened to our plight and was able to help us find a couch and get it that day! The customer service was impeccable throughout you can tell they really care about their customers, especially Jenny Ashley who went above and beyond for us.

Purchased a couch in January, bought the extended warranty on the cleaning of the couch. Which, is a scam. They do not come to clean your couch, there is always an excuse to why your claim was not approved by the outside contractor. Secondly, sales person SASHA, sold me a couch and went GHOST! I’ve attempting many times to express my frustration on this issue I’m having since she sold me that DREAM of having my couch cleaned and she’s not available. No return on phone calls, NOTHING. I will Never again.

We had a great experience with Laurette and Antoine (the manager). They exercised great patience, they broke down the numbers and brought in another great salesman to support when needed initially. Antoine really wants to ensure customers have the best experience and he wants to ensure they leave knowing how their money is being spent. I’m grateful for him taking the time to look up our other cart and giving us fair deals. It was a busy Sunday and a long transaction but I left clear and excited to get my child’s new bedroom set.

When we expressed we were looking for a new bed she introduced us to her partner, Antoine, a specialist in the field. From that point on, we weren’t only shopping for a bed, but the entire process became an extraordinary experience of what sleeping in comfort could feel like; with our feet and head inclined and targeted to our personal needs. Disappointing Experience with Price Matching and Unnecessary Fees at Ashley Furniture kings plaza I recently visited Ashley Furniture to purchase a piece I had been eyeing for a while. When I got to the store, I mentioned that I had found the same item online for a lower price and asked if they could price match. Initially, the staff was unwilling to honor the price match, which was quite frustrating. After some back-and-forth, they finally agreed to match the price. As it was posted all over the store price match guarantee. However, the experience didn’t improve from there. Once they agreed to the price match, they informed me that there would be additional delivery fees. These fees were excessive and seemed completely unnecessary, especially since the store is relatively close to my home. It felt like they were trying to recoup the price difference through these added charges, which left a sour taste in my mouth. I was being charged a delivery fee okay fine then a feee for them having to break down furniture then a fee in case it didn’t fit in my house. After I told them if they can’t make it fit leave it on the sidewalk I’ll take it in myself. All the extra frees were 500.00. In the end, I felt that Ashley Furniture was not upfront about their pricing policies and was disappointed by the lack of transparency and customer service. I expected a much better experience and will be considering other options for future furniture purchases. HORRIBLE !!! Ps : also was told If I price match I wouldn’t be able to use financing. STAY AWAY! Got it cheaper at a competitor with zero delivery fees

Shopping for a good quality mattress and bed would've been a stressful process had it not been for the help of the friendly and AMAZING staff at the Kings Plaza location. Me and my mom were helped by the two lovely gentlemen named Morgan and Rafael. They patiently answered all of our questions with great detail-- even remembered things that we mentioned a while back in a previous visit. They even went out of their way to help us get our packages to one of the exits, despite it being all the way to the other side of the mall. Overall a great experience. Had so much fun trying out the mattresses. We didn't feel rushed at all during either of our visits.

I went to the mall today not to buy anything...but my customer service Ms Lencia...she was so professional not one time did I felt pressure into buying anything...she greeted me as I walked in the store then she was standing there giving me my space to look around and wait for me to call her....I love that I felt comfortable in the store and I ended up buying a dresser for my daughter....dont like people walking behind me it's not a comfortable feeling so thank you so much....I grade her a 10 she's very professional and knows how to take care of her customers....thank you for your time....Vanessa Saul

I walked in and met Kristoff. He was a great salesman and was very patient as me and my wife searched for a couch within our budget. We new Ashley's was more expensive then bobs and Raymore and Flanigan but we didn't see anything we liked in those stores. After looking for a while we found a couch that was within our budget and comfortable. Kristoff broke down the price for me and it was expensive but reasonable. He explained that the delivery includes haul away which was a big plus. After I came back to purchase I noticed the price was almost $400 more. They told me it was a guaranteed delivery fee. Basically the couch comes already assembled but in NYC doorways are too narrow so they charge an extra $170 PER PIECE to deliver in pieces (like every other furniture store does). Sales people were very nice but I wish they were more upfront about delivery fees instead of wasting everyone's time.

We were very nervous because we knew what we wanted , and wasn't sure if anyone could help us. Our sales lady WAS VERY HELPFUL! I had the worst experience of my life dealing with this particular Ashley furniture store, from the agent that sold the sofa (Shena) who is a liar by the way. to the manager(shanick) that will not take responsibility for their lack of details and competence .. how do you ask for measurements prior to delivery and was provided with it, then on delivery day you realised you didn’t ask for height and you want me to pay extra to a third party company to redeliver the sofa .. Also the sofa could fit into the service elevator which I can clearly see and kept telling them to go out and turn it another way but the delivery team tried to finesse me into paying them $400 on the low to take it through stairs, when I refused and told them to call the store because this is not the service I was promised. Shanick told me it was an obstacle even tho they didn’t ask for heights measurements and I should pay for third party .. horrible way to treat your customers and I regret dealing with your company…

Best experience I’ve gotten while furniture shopping. Ashley furniture at Kings Plaza gave me amazing customer service. I needed a new bed and mattress and the employees (Adia & Diondre) worked with me to give me an amazing deal as well as a mattress that catered to my physical needs. I appreciate how they listened to what I wanted and didn’t try to upsell me while still giving me all the bells and whistles within my budget. They also kept me comfortable during the whole process. They were kind, courteous, detailed, and well versed in the products sold at the store as well as the financing/leasing options they have. I will definitely be coming here again for my living room furniture.

Diondre provided great customer service and insight on the furniture as well as the break down on the dimensions and aspects of the furniture. He reviewed the positives and negatives of each piece so that we can fully grasp what we should pick. He was able to provide us with a bedroom package that made our day. He is the go to sales associate at this location.

The sales person was okay But they got mad when I found the couch cheaper online than in-store so they did a price match When I got home they call want measurements for the doorway I did then they call back want me to measure the old couch I did then they call back with all excuses want me to pay to remove the door cause they don't think it will fit long story short I said cancel the order return my money the way it was paid then they call back want me to come back in and get something smaller like really I will never never ever shop at your store again and I would not recommend anyone Clos to me do it you all are to disrespectful i paid my money it belong to me but you all once it still in the store is yours well keep it ill go back to Raymore and Flanagan.

I visited this location with a friend who was looking to purchase a new sofa and bedroom set. I was not planning to make a purchase today but was convinced to purchase some awesome pillows. 😏 I mean, when you laid on these pillows, you instantly wanted to take a nap! The sales representative Recheina Darden was very informative, helpful and patient. She helped myself and my friend make an informed decision and explained the details of the merchandise. I will definitely return when I am ready to purchase additional items for my home; with the assistance of Miss Darden of course. 🙂

Before I get into this review let me say Desiree was amazing and provided excellent service. This one star does not represent her quality of service at all. I WILL NEVER IN THIS LIFETIME OR NEXT PURCHASE ANYTHING OR ATTEMPT TO BUY SOMETHING ELSE FROM ASHLEY. We were informed at the last minute that the address of delivery needed a COI. (Certificate of insurance) We had someone by the name of Shanique W. call us and to be honest made no attempt to help us. Yes at the P.O.S I did informed Desiree that a COI was not needed. I admit that . Shanique stated upon her starting work that morning on 8/29 our order was flagged needing a COI but did not call us until after 4pm by then the department that handles that was closed. She was very dismissive even suggesting from the first call that we can cancel the order because we were upset that we had to now move the delivery date to the following week due to the window of the COI not being requested. We had the management of the delivery location email a copy of the COI to her email, which she received immediately. ( My 64 year old soon to be 65 mother in law rushed to the management office at 4:40pm to get the COI FYI) Shanique then told us after that the process had to be done yesterday on Monday for delivery on Friday. She went on to say that there was nothing she could do and needed a new delivery date in order to put in a COI on Ashleys behalf and our now delivery date was no longer available even if the COI came back before Friday.( meaning that Ashley had already canceled our delivery) Not to mention I spoke with Ashley at 9:30 am and they went over the building restrictions noted in the order but never mentioned the order being flagged. She also had the audacity to give us the option to pick up the furniture from their warehouse in New Jersey even though we were paying to have it delivered. Was she expecting me to put a sofa and love seat in my pocket? All why still while saying (You have the option to cancel if you choose that’s still an option) She didn’t care if we cancelled which means Ashley does not need our Money and I’m completely ok with that. She definitely needs training on empathy because she lacks it. The set I was purchasing was a birthday gift for my mother in law and I only tried to work something out because of that. After about 3 calls I refuse to beg someone to take my money. This is the second and last time I will attempt to buy anything from them.Both time resulted in me getting my money back. Now my mother in law is stuck with no furniture for her birthday and her party is now cancelled. My gut told me to stay out of Ashley and I even said that to Desiree. I said my last experience was horrible at their location further down Flatbush. Ashley will not get me a third time. Also Shanique stated SHE will cancel the order and issue the refund only to have to call back 2hours later and she proceeded to give us an excuse on why it wasn’t cancelled then proceeds to cancel it. I was so confused on why it was not cancelled at the time we agreed to cancel it. Especially since she was so eager to cancel it in the first place.

My salesman, Dondre, was very helpful, personable and professional. I highly recommend him!

Showed up on 1st day of Grand opening. Had one of the best warm welcomes from store trusted adviser Stephanie. She took great care and attention in helping me furnish my home. I was there to buy 2 pillows, and was told we could be offered a 20% off discount. However, we weren’t told that this discount was unavailable until we were to check out. We were about to buy the pillows anyway. What is even worst is after we got the receipt, the pillows were charged $20 more than listed price. We asked for a refund/ to cancel the order, but we were told that no specialist was on site to do it, and that would be followed up a day after. The day was gone, we got no calls, no emails. We went online to their customer service, and was told that no price adjustment could be offered once the product was taken home. I feel like we were scammed, and are very disappointed.

My rep was Giovanni, gray customer service. Patient with my indecisiveness. Looked for all the discounts he could’ve. I’ll definitely shop at Ashley’s again because of him.
